- 0:03Speaker 1: the north florida sports network.
- 0:05Speaker 1: All right, welcome back the north florida basic losing is, yes, it is over and we're here Another man's Monday Football.
- 0:33Speaker 1: It is finally just another Football Monday.
- 0:35Speaker 1: We haven't done one of these in a while, but welcome back.
- 0:39Speaker 1: It's the North Florida Sports Network coming at you on just another Football Monday before Thanksgiving and we're going to talk about pretty much football where we're at Florida State with the big win.
- 0:59Speaker 2: It is the greatest thing I've ever seen with my own eyes.
- 1:01Speaker 2: I didn't watch any of it.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Actually, I saw a few plays.
- 1:07Speaker 2: It was a big win Big for those guys to get a win Right yeah, the young guys.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I thought Luke looked good throwing the ball down the field.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Yeah, some guys made some good catches.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I mean, you're playing the worst team in FCS, so it's a good practice game.
- 1:25Speaker 2: You get it 41-17.
- 1:28Speaker 2: It actually counts as a win 41-7,.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I thought it was 41-7.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Yeah 13-20, 209-3 touchdowns.
- 1:36Speaker 1: No picks.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I mean, well, they're playing Florida.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Who looks good now?
- 1:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you know the defense.
- 1:46Speaker 2: A big win for the defense, Lagway is obviously going to be really good, but for me the big takeaway is that the defense is like starting to figure that toolshed scheme out.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Man, uh-oh Right, they still got that.
- 2:01Speaker 1: What like 400-pound dude?
- 2:04Speaker 2: Right, yeah, it's him, but it's actually you know, it's the edge rushers and you know some of the transfers have been good, but they've been playing really well on defense.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah, man, everybody.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Billy Napier's got to feel really really good right now.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Everybody had him pegged as just being you know, dude.
- 2:25Speaker 2: This guy's done and now he's pretty much secure for his.
- 2:28Speaker 1: He's 6-5 on the season.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I mean it's 7-5.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I know what you're doing there, but he's not.
- 2:33Speaker 1: He's got to come up to Doak under the lights and he's got to.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Once he do that, he's got to enjoy himself for three and a half hours and then go turn that huge victory into the final touches of his signing day, which is going to probably include.
- 2:50Speaker 2: I mean it'll you know I don't know, man, solomon Thomas, the rumors of Alex Atkins and you know, maybe being an analyst over there and Thomas going there it's still out there, but Thomas was at LSU this past weekend so he's got other teams he's looking at as well.
- 3:08Speaker 2: It still doesn't matter.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I mean I don't think the kid's coming to Florida State at the end of the day anyway.
- 3:13Speaker 1: So it just doesn't really matter.
- 3:14Speaker 1: What does matter?
- 3:16Speaker 1: What do they need?
- 3:18Speaker 1: You know what they need?
- 3:19Speaker 1: Oh, portal Conference, portal conference.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Right, it's time to get back in it.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Well, what?
- 3:35Speaker 1: What they hard?
- 3:36Speaker 2: what they need now is about fisk maybe 40, 40 to 50 players maybe yeah let yeah, it's hit it hard.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Yeah, transfers everywhere Tryouts.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I still believe they're going to take a quarterback with the intention of the kid that they take starting.
- 3:52Speaker 2: But I mean we'll see Luke's got another game to start Saturday.
- 3:59Speaker 2: If he actually doesn't go out there and look overmatched for a majority of the game, then you kind of wonder about the new OC and whoever the new quarterback coach is.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Are they going to have confidence?
- 4:14Speaker 1: Who do you want at the coordinator spot?
- 4:19Speaker 2: Who do I want?
- 4:20Speaker 2: Oh man, somebody that's going to come in with a quarterback.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Oh Right, somebody that's going to come in with a quarterback.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Right, that's my preference.
- 4:29Speaker 2: There's a couple of names out there that have been rumored or linked to other jobs that could possibly make sense.
- 4:37Speaker 2: It really sounds like that Brendan Marion guy at UNLV is going to be.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Is that the go-go?
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yeah, go-go offense.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Sounds like he's going to be the guy that everybody is hedging their bets on, but he's going to interview for head coaching jobs at smaller schools.
- 4:57Speaker 2: His alma mater, tulsa, just came open a day or two ago, maybe yesterday.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I think He'll interview there for it.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I like the guy at Tulane.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I like the quarterback at Tulane.
- 5:11Speaker 2: The problem is, I think they're going to be a really hot commodity both of those and honestly I mean you're really only talking about a guy that's going to be here a year or two on both sides of the ball.
- 5:23Speaker 2: They're either going to be here a year or two on both sides of the ball.
- 5:24Speaker 2: They're either going to do really well and then probably go interview for other head coaching jobs themselves, or it's not going to work and then norvell's out, so the whole staff is getting replaced.
- 5:38Speaker 2: So you know, you and I I don't know that there is a home run hire that he can hit out there no.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I think he's just got to find a guy that fits best.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I'm more concerned about what players that they're going to bring in Right.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Right, that's what I'm saying.
- 5:55Speaker 2: You know, if the offensive coordinator happens to be a guy that comes in with an experienced quarterback, right.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I want guys that have something to prove and want to come here to show their skills and get it on tape.
- 6:10Speaker 1: You know the guy Scataboo or whatever.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Cam Scataboo out of Arizona State.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Goodness, gracious, yeah, he's an absolute monster Sac State Sac.
- 6:19Speaker 2: State.
- 6:20Speaker 2: That's where they got him from.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah, shout out to Sac State.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 6:24Speaker 1: So I mean, go out there and find dudes like that.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I think Luke can play.
- 6:36Speaker 2: So go out there and find dudes like that that complement your roster If you're going to roll with Luke if you're going to roll with him next year and be the guy and maybe bring in another younger quarterback, I don't know, but then you have to double down on offensive linemen in the portal.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and you gotta.
- 6:52Speaker 2: That's to me.
- 6:53Speaker 1: That's a bigger, higher yeah, and that's not where the coordinator is the o-line coach.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Like you got it, you got to have a guy that can come in here and either develop and and quickly fix trash and I use that term being the package deal where the whoever he's going to get, yeah and that's that's.
- 7:11Speaker 2: That's the other thing.
- 7:12Speaker 2: The other kind of knock on brandon marion is, I don't know, that he would bring in his, his staff.
- 7:18Speaker 2: He'd just kind of be the play caller and the receivers coach.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I mean, that's really what he does.
- 7:24Speaker 2: You know, it took a huge pay cut to leave Texas and go to UNLV just to be able to call the plays.
- 7:30Speaker 2: So if you get him here it'd be the go-go offense.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I mean, you'd see a lot of what he's running at UNLV installed here at Florida State and that doesn't really seem like an offense that's easy to learn quickly.
- 7:46Speaker 2: So there's some question there for me about the fit and just the likelihood that they would be able to have that thing running smoothly in just one offseason, especially with the problems on offensive line.
- 7:58Speaker 2: But again, I don't.
- 8:00Speaker 2: They're going to have to hit the portal hard every position.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Oh boy, yeah, you know they're gonna have to hit the portal hard every position.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Oh boy, yeah, nightmare, nightmare it's it's, I mean, you know it.
- 8:14Speaker 2: It's.
- 8:14Speaker 2: You're starting over from the bottom of the barrel again.
- 8:17Speaker 2: It you didn't.
- 8:19Speaker 2: You didn't think you'd be here, you know, less than a calendar year after your yeah winning the conference.
- 8:26Speaker 1: All right.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Well, let's get off of that.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Let's go to this overall college football Wild.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Saturday man.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Yeah, ohio State beat Indiana.
- 8:42Speaker 2: They did, they did, they did, they did.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I think, man, I think Cignetti's probably should have chosen his words differently.
- 8:51Speaker 2: And that that post conference or post game press conference, where he said it's so obvious you know, they asked him if Indiana deserves to be.
- 9:00Speaker 2: I mean, come on, because it is pretty obvious that they don't.
- 9:05Speaker 2: They don't you know they are, you know they if we're talking about played anybody right, they haven't played anybody.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Ohio state is and I get it, man it's ohio state who you think is probably going to be in the at least playing for right.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Well, do they have anybody else on their schedule?
- 9:21Speaker 2: indiana.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's it yeah, I mean they finish with and they're not going to be in the Big Ten championship.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I'm assuming it's Purdue.
- 9:29Speaker 2: That's who they finish with.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Yeah, all right.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Well, that's going to be.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I mean, they're in the Big Ten, though, so you know, these conferences own this playoff pretty much, yeah, and they'll find a way to get him in there.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Right now, oregon, I mean, they're still undefeated.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Yeah, so you're looking at Oregon Ohio.
- 9:52Speaker 1: State.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Penn State.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Those are the three that are, if they just keep winning, are locks to make it.
- 9:59Speaker 1: I can't believe Penn State.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I mean, they're just beat everybody else.
- 10:01Speaker 2: The 12-team playoff was the best thing to happen to Penn State.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I mean they're, well, they're, they just beat everybody else.
- 10:04Speaker 2: The 12-team playoff was the best thing to happen to Penn.
- 10:06Speaker 1: State and James Franklin.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Yeah, all I got to do is just beat everybody else besides a really good Ohio State, or if Michigan's really good again, I don't really have to worry about beating them either.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Yeah, just stay better than everybody else.
- 10:27Speaker 1: And, and you know, we'll see, we'll see what happens with indiana.
- 10:28Speaker 1: They may still make it um.
- 10:29Speaker 1: It's really it's start dame's looking good.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Yeah, notre dame wins out they'll, they'll be, they're gonna be in at five at the highest um alabama loss that.
- 10:39Speaker 2: That was they got their part.
- 10:41Speaker 2: One is just the absolute boomer.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Sooner right up their butt.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's the thing they just shut down.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Shut them down, absolutely shut down.
- 10:53Speaker 1: And.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Oklahoma has been one of the worst teams in the conference.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Yeah, they're out.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Alabama can't make it.
- 10:56Speaker 1: No, there's too many other teams in the SEC alone.
- 10:59Speaker 1: That will have two losses.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Yeah, and it'll come down.
- 11:05Speaker 2: I mean, you're talking about teams like south carolina that still are old, miss another one that's boom, you're out.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Should be out.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I think alabama and old miss punch their ticket out um tennessee's still in it.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Yeah, they win they're in george.
- 11:22Speaker 2: I mean, you know ge know Georgia will be in it.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Georgia.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Yeah, they're at two losses, so I think you're starting to see that two.
- 11:31Speaker 1: I think that third loss is what it's going to be Now.
- 11:36Speaker 1: The Big Ten, though Indiana that's going to.
- 11:39Speaker 1: There's your debate.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Are they going to be?
- 11:41Speaker 2: And it'll what you'd like to think is it's colorado loss yeah, that was, that was a bit, and then watch out for old dilly, arizona state.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Okay, dilla, yeah, he, uh, he keeps winning, man, they're, they're, they're, uh, nine and two, they're ten, they're, they're nine and two, yeah, and they have a chance to play for it right, they play arizona and they win that and they're 10 and 2 and they get in a big 12 and they win it.
- 12:09Speaker 2: They're in the top four seed yeah, you're talking about a guy that was.
- 12:13Speaker 2: They were banned from postseason last year they're still on probation, like they just got hit with sanctions, you know, roster size reduction, recruiting limitations, all of that what I can see here, though, is how I mean it's.
- 12:31Speaker 1: The line, though, is thin to get to where you can be in this playoff scenario one year, and then I'm just telling you, you could be completely out of it, yeah it's, but you'll start to see that there'll be the big conferences will continue to just flood it.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Right, like what is it?
- 12:53Speaker 2: Is Indiana going to get pushed aside for a fifth SEC team?
- 13:00Speaker 1: So let's go over the Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Those are your three big ten.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Right, you say you're in there.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Yeah, they just keep winning.
- 13:10Speaker 2: All right, so.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Texas.
- 13:14Speaker 2: This is where it gets Texas.
- 13:16Speaker 2: That's it right now.
- 13:18Speaker 1: That you can say hey, they're in.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Even if they lose to A&M, would you put Texas in?
- 13:25Speaker 2: Well, they're still.
- 13:26Speaker 1: ooh, I mean yeah, that's where you're going to have.
- 13:29Speaker 1: That's the chaos.
- 13:31Speaker 2: You set a precedent last year when you know, like you just kind of said, regular season losses don't matter essentially.
- 13:38Speaker 2: And then who's playing for the sec championship right, because the winner c playing tennessee wins and I think that they're in the sec title game so do they do they?
- 13:49Speaker 1: are they in the playoff then, or do they?
- 13:51Speaker 1: Are they going to get penalized for losing that game?
- 13:54Speaker 1: Possibly that's going to be the old you know right.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Is it going to, in the long run, be better?
- 14:00Speaker 1: I don't think be playing well I think that they shouldn't penalize them for getting there, and they don't want to set that precedent of teams quitting and not want to get there.
- 14:11Speaker 2: They want to actually put in.
- 14:13Speaker 1: If they were to happen to get to the SEC Championship and they say they lose but they still put them in over another two-loss team that didn't get in, that would set the precedent.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Hey, just because they lost that game, it still means they made it over that team.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:29Speaker 1: So they should still get the benefit of the doubt of going in.
- 14:33Speaker 2: What happens if let's say this.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Let's say Texas A&M beats Texas, they go to the title game by beating Texas.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Tennessee loses to Vanderbilt and blows their chance at going All right.
- 14:47Speaker 2: So now it's South Carolina or I assume it's South Carolina going to the title game.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Yeah, the Gamecocks Right 8-3.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Right, you're talking about teams that are already going to be there out of the SEC with Georgia and Texas.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Even though they lost their last game, they're still going.
- 15:06Speaker 2: You got Georgia, you got Texas.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Now you'll have the winner of the game.
- 15:12Speaker 2: What do you do with Tennessee?
- 15:14Speaker 2: Is there a potential for five SEC teams to get in, because you have a bunch of two-loss SEC teams to get in?
- 15:21Speaker 2: You know, because you have a bunch of two loss SEC teams?
- 15:22Speaker 2: Or, say, south Carolina doesn't make the SEC title game, but they that Tennessee goes and Texas A&M beats Tennessee in the title game and, like you were saying, well, georgia's in it.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Georgia's got their bid secure.
- 15:34Speaker 2: They're there, they're in it, all right.
- 15:35Speaker 2: So who's going to?
- 15:36Speaker 1: play Georgia in the SEC championship.
- 15:40Speaker 2: That's essentially what you're getting down to.
- 15:41Speaker 2: So if Tennessee.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Once Alabama lost that made Georgia in Okay, because then they had that third.
- 15:50Speaker 2: So if it, is Tennessee and it's a real match.
- 15:53Speaker 1: So the Bulldogs will face either Texas or A&M, so Tennessee's out Mm-hmm, because they lost to Georgia.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Okay.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Well, there you go, man.
- 16:05Speaker 2: So you got teams like Tennessee and let's say, a&m wins the SEC title.
- 16:11Speaker 2: What do you do with South Carolina?
- 16:13Speaker 2: That's a two-loss team.
- 16:17Speaker 2: If South Carolina beats Clemson, that's a team that kicked the crap out of a team that just won your conference and is going to the playoffs.
- 16:26Speaker 2: They have as good of an argument as anybody they're going to have.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Texas.
- 16:30Speaker 1: If A&M makes it to the title game, they have to win to get in Right.
- 16:36Speaker 1: They've got to beat Texas.
- 16:36Speaker 1: They're going to have to beat Georgia too.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Yeah, so if they beat Texas and lose to Georgia, no.
- 16:43Speaker 2: They're out, they're out.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Right, right.
- 16:45Speaker 2: But if they beat Georgia and they get in no Texas.
- 16:48Speaker 1: now, if they beat Texas A&M, I think they're in, because then they'll just have two losses to Georgia, that's true.
- 16:56Speaker 1: So then, what do you do?
- 16:57Speaker 1: You put them in you.
- 16:58Speaker 1: So then what?
- 16:58Speaker 2: do you, do you put?
- 16:59Speaker 1: them in Because they have nobody else and they're going to get teams, so Georgia, texas get in, tennessee gets in.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Tennessee's sitting here pretty right now, if they can just get past Vanderbilt.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Right, all they got to do.
- 17:09Speaker 2: I think they're in yeah.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Okay, they're not going to get a bye, but they're in the playoff and they're not going to play for it, so they don't have to risk, so there really is no way that the SEC is possibly Getting left out.
- 17:28Speaker 2: No, getting five teams in.
- 17:29Speaker 2: This is why you hear people on the SEC network starting to just bring up the theory of a three-loss SEC team getting in.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Well, the only three-loss team that can get in is if A&M wins the title.
- 17:42Speaker 2: I'm talking about ones that aren't going.
- 17:44Speaker 2: I know I'm talking about ones that this past Saturday just lost the game.
- 17:47Speaker 2: What if?
- 17:47Speaker 1: Alabama comes back and beats Auburn impressively Right.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Like they should have lost to them last year if it wasn't for a fluke play.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Forget about that.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Texas A&M wins the SEC but Auburn.
- 18:01Speaker 2: But Alabama goes and just rolls Auburn, something that Texas A&M couldn't do.
- 18:07Speaker 2: You don't think that people are going to start?
- 18:13Speaker 1: Which you know, georgia.
- 18:14Speaker 1: What if Georgia goes out and loses to Georgia Tech?
- 18:20Speaker 1: Right, then they have to win the game to get in.
- 18:25Speaker 1: I think Georgia has to win the game anyway.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Yeah, if they lose, they're out.
- 18:29Speaker 1: They have to win out.
- 18:31Speaker 1: He'd like to think that, well, they could lose to Georgia Tech and still win the SEC.
- 18:36Speaker 2: So really, what if they lose a close game to Texas in the title game and they it's like dude, we already kicked shit out of this team earlier.
- 18:48Speaker 2: That's your three loss.
- 18:49Speaker 1: It's really hard, yeah, it's really hard, that's your best three loss scenario Maybe, Because then you're looking at, you know who are you going to put over them.
- 18:59Speaker 1: I'm not putting Alabama.
- 19:00Speaker 1: You might put Alabama over them because Alabama beat them.
- 19:04Speaker 2: But you look at, listen, we just lost to a team that's really good and that we also kicked the shit out of at their own place earlier in the season.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Alabama's lost to Vanderbilt Oklahoma, which has got one of the worst records in conference.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Yes, you know that A&M Texas game is going to be.
- 19:25Speaker 1: There's a lot on it man, there's a lot and there's old school man, finally, these teams.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Man, they're right, that's going to be a, which has always been a big rivalry.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Took a little break.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's in back in back.
- 19:39Speaker 2: It's man.
- 19:40Speaker 2: I sucks that.
- 19:42Speaker 2: It's the conference that they're in, but yeah, I mean.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I mean, I grew up watching that game.
- 19:47Speaker 1: In particular it was on the same day.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Was it on a Friday Usually?
- 19:53Speaker 2: part of the big eight conference.
- 19:54Speaker 2: All right, Well, uh, and then you talk about the other two conferences ACC and big 12.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Yeah, you got SMU right.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Smu, clemson and Miami are the three that are still alive Now.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Miami wins and Clemson's hopes are done, possibly.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Clemson's got to win the ACC to get in.
- 20:17Speaker 1: So you think they?
- 20:18Speaker 2: well, yeah, they have a chance to really look good this weekend by beating South Carolina Right.
- 20:20Speaker 2: South Carolina doing what they've done in the SEC play.
- 20:24Speaker 1: You can go out and beat them handily Right.
- 20:26Speaker 1: There's your case to be like hey, what about us?
- 20:30Speaker 2: Especially if Texas A&M can even find a way to get to the championship game, If Texas A&M wins this weekend.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I'm telling you, I just don't see them putting Clemson over any SEC team.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Attended to.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Ooh, I don't know, man, I don't know.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Let's say that it's Miami that wins.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Miami wins it.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Smu is not going to make the playoffs.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Well, yeah, smu has to win it.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Let's say we really don't want to put another SEC team in that's got three losses.
- 21:01Speaker 2: So there's 10 and 2 Clemson sitting right there.
- 21:04Speaker 2: They didn't play, but they beat the crap out of you know, south carolina.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Yeah, the only really bad loss they have.
- 21:14Speaker 1: yeah that's gonna they have they have a shot, they have a shot two games that you know I think are gonna be worth watching.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Watch out for georgia tech yeah they.
- 21:24Speaker 2: They have a very deliberate style of football.
- 21:26Speaker 2: If they can't stop the run, that's going to be a game man.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and watch out for that one.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I think, with all the scenarios that Georgia has in front of, that ahead after that game, Georgia Tech is looking right at that game with a bull's eye.
- 21:45Speaker 2: And you'd like to think that that would matter, man, Like if they lost that game to Georgia Tech, that that alone would exclude them from any playoffs.
- 21:51Speaker 2: But I'm not convinced of that, man.
- 21:53Speaker 1: I'm not convinced.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Well, because they're already in the SEC championship.
- 21:56Speaker 1: But if they lose that game, yes, they're out.
- 22:00Speaker 2: They're not going with two losses, even if it's a close game to Texas, even if they lose, even if they lose to Georgia Tech, they're out.
- 22:07Speaker 1: If they lose to SEC, that's.
- 22:09Speaker 1: That's, that's come on.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Come on, they lost to Georgia.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Tech.
- 22:13Speaker 1: They're going to have to win the SEC to get in Texas beats Texas, a&m handedly handles them.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Looks good rolling into the SEC title game.
- 22:23Speaker 2: And then you get Georgia.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Who just?
- 22:27Speaker 2: lost to Georgia Tech.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Who just lost to Georgia Tech in an upset in a knockdown dragout fight because it's rivalry weekend and they lose to Texas, they're out.
- 22:34Speaker 2: And they go into Texas and it's just a battle and they lose on a last-second field goal, a controversial.
- 22:39Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 22:39Speaker 2: You'd like to think that I I'm saying.
- 22:41Speaker 2: You'd like to think that I would like to think that I'm not a hundred percent convinced You're, so you're, you're.
- 22:45Speaker 1: In this scenario, georgia's going at nine and four, yeah, why not?
- 22:51Speaker 2: Why not?
- 22:52Speaker 2: Why not?
- 22:52Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no no no, all right.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Byu blew their chance.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Big 12's getting one team in.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Yeah, Big 12's getting one team in.
- 23:08Speaker 1: So it's going to be Arizona State.
- 23:11Speaker 1: It could be BYU still.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I mean, this is a year where you're.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I really want to see Dillard get in there?
- 23:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I do too.
- 23:21Speaker 2: They're really struggling to find 12 teams that should even be in a playoff setting, like there really aren't 12 teams that are national title Miami.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Let's talk about the Hurricanes.
- 23:34Speaker 1: They have a big game at Syracuse.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really big when they're in the ACC championship, when and they're in the playoff.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Possibly, man.
- 23:46Speaker 2: I think everybody else starting to suck is making it better for Miami's, you know, if they play SMU.
- 23:53Speaker 1: They do have a big-name quarterback.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I think that's if he stays healthy and they lose like a high-scoring game against SMU, they have a much better chance to lose that game and stay in the playoffs than smu does.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I think the only way smu is making it is if they win, just because they're miami right brand brand matters man like this, and they have.
- 24:15Speaker 1: They have a draft pick that's coming.
- 24:18Speaker 2: It's gonna be the first round, yeah they want eyeballs on it, although I'm fairly certain everybody would watch SMU as well.
- 24:25Speaker 2: I mean, it's football.
- 24:27Speaker 1: So you think SMU has to win the ACC to get in?
- 24:34Speaker 1: Yeah, All right.
- 24:35Speaker 1: So Miami and Clemson with outside shots maybe to make it.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Miami outside shot with if, with if they lose.
- 24:46Speaker 2: They got to be.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Yeah, they got to be there.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Yeah, there's no way to lose the Syracuse, your season's over.
- 24:51Speaker 1: That's it.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Yeah, cause you're not going to the conference.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and there's no way that they're going to put you in without winning the ACC or being in that title Right.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Yeah, tonight's a must-win game for Miami, so a lot's on the line.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Not tonight, but this week.
- 25:08Speaker 1: It's Football Monday.
- 25:09Speaker 2: It's.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Football Monday Come on.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Yeah, and if Miami were to lose it, what that really means is Miami would be going up north to play in the first round.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Right.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Because you're going to see that You're going to see a couple big team teams hosting first round games.
- 25:22Speaker 1: You're going to see a couple big team teams hosting first-round games.
- 25:24Speaker 1: You're going to see Penn State hosting a round.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah, they're going to be hosting a game.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Notre Dame's probably going to be hosting a first-round game, notre Dame and Penn State probably going to be hosting.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Sec teams.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Yeah, SEC teams.
- 25:34Speaker 2: It'll be cold as shit.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Tennessee going to Penn State.
- 25:36Speaker 2: And you're going to see both of those teams.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Sec teams likely lose a physical mashup and cold weather.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Lose a physical mashup and cold weather, something that nobody in the sec does it like they don't do that.
- 25:54Speaker 1: um, so you know, like I was saying, man, I will say this that the the at large home games, that's going to be something to watch for when the committee has its rank.
- 26:02Speaker 2: yeah, well, how they do, how they divvy those out, right, and let's say, the scenario that I just said happens and you see a couple SEC teams, even just one go up north I don't see an SEC team that's going to get a home game.
- 26:15Speaker 2: No Not over an 11-1 Notre Dame or an 11-1.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Penn State?
- 26:21Speaker 1: No, they shouldn't, so like it's top heavy in the big 10, so one of it's only getting gonna get one champion.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Then you have three teams right in ohio state.
- 26:33Speaker 2: If they, if they lose the champion, they got two losses, like them hosting a home game or a two loss sec then you.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Then you got a debate, but well, oregon is gonna play ohio state again, right?
- 26:45Speaker 1: So that's the scenario then, like, come on, well, I think they're both in yeah, they're, they're both in, if they're.
- 26:54Speaker 1: If that's our sorry, yeah, in penn state's probably locked in to host a playoff game already because they're not going to the big 10 championship.
- 27:04Speaker 2: And if they went, they'll have one loss they're sitting in the driver's seat for them.
- 27:08Speaker 1: So they're going to, and Notre Dame they're going to host a game, so that's two.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Those are two teams that are in a pretty good spot, yeah, to host.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's going to be cold.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that'll be interesting.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's what I'm saying.
- 27:21Speaker 2: We've seen Florida State have to go up to Boston College or Notre Dame.
- 27:25Speaker 2: We've seen a team like Miami have to do the same thing.
- 27:28Speaker 2: You don't see teams from the SEC going up north, going to cold temperatures during the season and really this will be a brand-new thing you get a team like Tennessee, maybe even Georgia, going up to Pennsylvania, going up to Indiana in December.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Dude, that's going to be brutal.
- 27:56Speaker 1: You know it's hard to.
- 27:58Speaker 1: We didn't mention the Big 12 because there's so many damn scenarios.
- 28:02Speaker 1: There's probably going to be a three or four-way tie in the season.
- 28:08Speaker 1: So if you get two teams will tie, they'll win the Big 12 championship.
- 28:16Speaker 1: So if there's a three-team tie, you'll have.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Colorado loses, you'll have Arizona State versus Iowa State.
- 28:24Speaker 1: If Arizona State loses, you'll have Arizona State versus Iowa State.
- 28:26Speaker 1: If Arizona State loses, you'll have Iowa State versus BYU.
- 28:28Speaker 1: If Iowa State loses, you'll have Arizona State versus BYU in a rematch.
- 28:33Speaker 1: If BYU loses, Texas Tech beats West Virginia, Baylor beats Kansas and Cincinnati beats TCU, You'll have Colorado versus Iowa State.
- 28:46Speaker 1: So Prime's still in it.
- 28:49Speaker 1: He's still got a shot.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Otherwise, Colorado versus Arizona State.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Right Bottom line is that there's only one team from the Big 12 getting in the playoffs.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:10Speaker 2: So I mean and I would have said that that would have been the ACC before the season started, but it's, it's funny how that works out SMU is they?
- 29:19Speaker 2: They absolute wagon this year.
- 29:26Speaker 1: They're going to get in the playoff SMU is they win.
- 29:30Speaker 2: They just got to keep winning Two more games.
- 29:37Speaker 1: You have four teams right now.
- 29:38Speaker 1: You got Arizona State, iowa State, colorado and BYU.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Each have six and two records it's funny how that works is like it's just like the SEC.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Yeah, one conference owns the entire top 25 and the other one like can barely even sniff it.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it helps to have a network in your pocket.
- 30:04Speaker 2: It really does.
- 30:07Speaker 1: We had to go.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Wow, we got to get on out of here, man.
- 30:13Speaker 1: All right, sir, football Monday man.
- 30:16Speaker 2: We'll be back 2-10 on the season NFL yeah.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Got a big one tonight Harbaugh Bowl Milksteak.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Milksteak against who knows what that other guy eats.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I mean.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Probably milksteak.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Cut from the same cloth man.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, I mean.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Nah, brothers are different man, Polar opposites.
- 30:38Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 30:39Speaker 2: They're not twins.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Both got good teams.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Yeah they do.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Will Both got good teams?
- 30:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, they do.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Will the Ravens Be able to stop anybody In the past game?
- 30:49Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 30:50Speaker 1: I'm actually looking forward To this game, but I'm probably Not going to watch it.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Still going to work at three.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Yeah, just catch.
- 30:58Speaker 2: The highlights man.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Two, oh Thanksgiving's coming Turkey All the side dishes.

- 31:31Speaker 2: Pour it on there, and we'll just dip my cup in and drink swigs of it.
- 31:35Speaker 1: That's right, we got Thanksgiving football.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Yeah, lions-bears man.
- 31:43Speaker 1: We'll have to do NFL picks, probably on Wednesday.
- 31:45Speaker 1: We'll probably to do NFL picks, probably on Wednesday, probably do it on.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Wednesday, wednesday.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Oh.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Bears suck.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Hey man, they came back.
- 31:55Speaker 2: It was a.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Yeah it was.
- 31:56Speaker 2: At least it was competitive.
- 31:58Speaker 2: It's not like the Niners Jesus.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Yeah, they got their ass kicked 38-10.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 32:05Speaker 2: It's because Purdy was hurt.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Seahawks beat the Cardinals 16-6.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I mean NFC West, what it's terrible.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Nothing's changed.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Yeah, seahawks are what?
- 32:15Speaker 1: Leading the division at what?
- 32:17Speaker 1: 6-5?
- 32:17Speaker 1: .
- 32:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:22Speaker 1: The Eagles tore up the Rams, I mean.
- 32:27Speaker 2: They got to fix that second game.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Lions won the Bucs big winner Dolphins big winner.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Cowboys upset the Commanders Sickest kicker tournament I've ever seen Bears did have it.
