- 0:08Speaker 1: And I invited you here. I thought I made myself
- 0:14Speaker 1: perfectly clear. When you're a guest to my home, you
- 0:21Speaker 1: gotta come to me empty. And I said, no guests,
- 0:27Speaker 1: you're our presences. Presents enough.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I already had too much stuff, So how.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Do you dare to surbey me?
- 0:50Speaker 3: Welcome to I said, no gifts. I'm Richard Wineger. We're
- 0:55Speaker 3: here in the studio. I've consumed a decent amount of
- 1:00Speaker 3: caffeine and I still feel just like I woke up
- 1:03Speaker 3: my phone made a weird noise last night at about
- 1:05Speaker 3: two thirty am. So I'm slightly tired. But don't let
- 1:09Speaker 3: that change your plans. Just keep going about your day
- 1:12Speaker 3: as you would, and I'll just suffer, always suffering. Oh
- 1:17Speaker 3: I lost well. Speaking of suffering, I've lost two watches
- 1:20Speaker 3: in about five years, same watches, which is tough. The
- 1:26Speaker 3: only real common denominator is that life is very cruel,
- 1:29Speaker 3: I suppose, and I ordered a third watch, and we'll
- 1:32Speaker 3: try to hold on to that for a little longer.
- 1:34Speaker 3: If they're thirty dollars a piece, so you know, I'm
- 1:38Speaker 3: bleeding money. What else is going on? Big night? Last night? Actually,
- 1:43Speaker 3: we finished season two of Little House on the Prairie
- 1:46Speaker 3: huge episode. Charles lost everything to a tornado, and for
- 1:53Speaker 3: some reason, that was the final straw. I'll leave it
- 1:56Speaker 3: at that. You'll just have to watch and see if
- 1:58Speaker 3: they keep staying at the farm, or if they move on,
- 2:03Speaker 3: or if there's a divorce, or you know, anything could
- 2:05Speaker 3: happen on Little House on the Prairie. I have nothing
- 2:10Speaker 3: left to say. Have I told you recently that we
- 2:12Speaker 3: have merch at exactly right store dot com? If I haven't,
- 2:17Speaker 3: now I have a big deal. Let's get into the podcast.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Today's guest is absolutely fantastic. It's Carin Wells Krinn.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Welcome to I said, no kid, Oh, thank you so
- 2:26Speaker 4: much for having me.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Oh, it's so nice to see you. I saw you
- 2:30Speaker 3: about a month ago.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Now at where were we were at Black Cat?
- 2:34Speaker 3: Black Cat sitting at sort of a picnic bench, at a.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Picnic bench outside. It was late, it was very dark.
- 2:40Speaker 3: They are terrible lighting.
- 2:42Speaker 4: It's really bad lighting for people who are not.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Aware of Black Cat. It's kind of a barish restaurant
- 2:48Speaker 3: in Silver Lake, California, with picnic benches outside and zero outdoor.
- 2:53Speaker 4: Lighting, no lighting whatsoever. And maybe they're leaning into the
- 2:57Speaker 4: black of the Black cat.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Maybe maybe it's a by It feels darker out there
- 3:02Speaker 3: than like when you go camping.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Yes, it does. It's like void of light.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Yes, despite being in the middle of a big city. Yeah,
- 3:10Speaker 3: so you're just kind of sitting there shivering on a bench.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Is this a good advertisement for black cattle Bag?
- 3:14Speaker 4: A great drinks, really good wine.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Selection, excellent wine selection. It doesn't matter if you can
- 3:23Speaker 3: see your friend.
- 3:24Speaker 4: No, just as long as you get the glass to
- 3:26Speaker 4: your mouth.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Who cares around that picnic bench and have the time
- 3:31Speaker 3: of your life. What have you been up to?
- 3:33Speaker 4: Oh gosh, the holidays just wrapped up. I was in
- 3:37Speaker 4: Europe for three weeks.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Oh where did you go in Europe?
- 3:40Speaker 4: I went to Brussels, Amsterdam, Vienna, Munich, Paris, in London.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Oh my god. Were you traveling by train? Yes?
- 3:46Speaker 4: By train? Oh yeah?
- 3:47Speaker 3: Was this a first for you?
- 3:48Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah it was. It was wonderful. It was perfect.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Everyone should do it.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Three weeks? Now, how much were you? How much time
- 3:55Speaker 3: are you in each city?
- 3:57Speaker 4: Like it varied, but like averaging about three nights.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Yeah, one of those cities has to go? Which one
- 4:02Speaker 3: is it?
- 4:03Speaker 4: I hate to do this because I did enjoy myself
- 4:05Speaker 4: and all of them. But I think and most people
- 4:09Speaker 4: will agree, Brussels could go Brussels. But I love you Belgium.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Belgium sucks.
- 4:16Speaker 4: No, I love my Bill.
- 4:18Speaker 3: The people are rotten, the food is disgusting, the prices
- 4:22Speaker 3: are high. I've never been.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:26Speaker 4: No, the beer is great. The beer is really good.
- 4:29Speaker 3: So it's kind of a black Cat of Europe.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Yes, yes it is. Yes, it is dark. No lights,
- 4:34Speaker 4: zeral lights, whatsoever?
- 4:37Speaker 3: A country devoid of electricity.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Yeah, what were the big highlights for you?
- 4:42Speaker 4: Oh? God, so many things. I met someone in Munich.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Oh listening, Oh my god, reach out Munich man.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Yeah, so it was like a we spent like twenty
- 4:56Speaker 4: two hours together.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Very before midnight.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Yes, yes, yes, yeah.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Did you meet on the train.
- 5:01Speaker 4: No, we didn't meet on the train. We met on Hinge,
- 5:03Speaker 4: which is the train of the Internet.
- 5:06Speaker 3: It's what I like to say, that should be their
- 5:09Speaker 3: new stock, Hinge, the train of the train of the Wow,
- 5:13Speaker 3: that's really exciting. Did you go out? Yeah?
- 5:16Speaker 4: He like so, he like messaged me. I was like, Hey,
- 5:19Speaker 4: what do you want to do in Munich? And I like,
- 5:22Speaker 4: I was like, this isn't going to be anything. So
- 5:23Speaker 4: I told him literally everything I wanted to do, and
- 5:26Speaker 4: then he came back with a full itinerary. It's like,
- 5:29Speaker 4: meet me here and I will show you around and
- 5:32Speaker 4: show you everything you want to see. And I was like, well,
- 5:35Speaker 4: you get the draws.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I'm in a relationship, but I'm going to go on
- 5:40Speaker 3: Hinge anytime I go on vacation. Yeah, it's free, it's
- 5:44Speaker 3: a free travel agent.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it is. He he did a fantastic job.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Even if I wasn't attracted him, I I like had
- 5:51Speaker 4: a great time.
- 5:51Speaker 3: I was you would recommend him as a traveler? I
- 5:54Speaker 3: would absolutely, was he German?
- 5:56Speaker 4: Yes?
- 5:56Speaker 3: And are you still in touch a little bit? Yeah?
- 5:59Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. We like joke about like, hey, when you
- 6:03Speaker 4: come to La. And when I say joke, I mean
- 6:06Speaker 4: I'm dead serious, come to La.
- 6:10Speaker 3: You're buying in flights, you're begging please please, But it's
- 6:15Speaker 3: really excited. What did you do together?
- 6:18Speaker 4: We went to a museum, the Pinko Tech I think
- 6:22Speaker 4: is what it's called. It was fun and like museums
- 6:25Speaker 4: are very touch and.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Go when you go on a date, it's a real risk,
- 6:29Speaker 3: especially if the person's a bore.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Yes, yes, and he was so fun, so funny. We
- 6:36Speaker 4: had a blast at a museum, which is like, how
- 6:38Speaker 4: can you say no, one says that right.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Museums also suck, Yes, yes, as museums are the Belgium
- 6:46Speaker 3: of dates.
- 6:49Speaker 4: Yes, take that. I mean no, they kind of do.
- 6:53Speaker 4: They kind of do, especially ones that have ropped from
- 6:56Speaker 4: other countries. But we don't have to get into that.
- 7:00Speaker 4: He took me to Awesome Kirk, which is like that
- 7:04Speaker 4: very like Gothic church. Oh, that's like it looks so
- 7:09Speaker 4: beautiful inside. It's just like so ornate in a way
- 7:12Speaker 4: that you don't like. Most churches are ornate, but like
- 7:16Speaker 4: this one is like they.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Went too far.
- 7:17Speaker 4: They did. They just kept doing stuff. They just kept
- 7:20Speaker 4: adding gold to stuff.
- 7:22Speaker 3: That's how those Gothic cathedrals and churches are. It's like
- 7:25Speaker 3: you could have stopped like ten steps ago.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Yes, but they're like, we keep taking money from people,
- 7:31Speaker 4: So what else are we going? We gotta we gotta
- 7:35Speaker 4: decorate for Jesus.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Shop, shop shop, It's.
- 7:43Speaker 4: All for Jesus. It's his birthday every year. Yeah. We
- 7:51Speaker 4: went to Christmas markets.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Oh my god, with Christmas markets so people rent and
- 7:54Speaker 3: rave about these. Yeah, what's going on in is it
- 7:57Speaker 3: just a farmer's market with a scent of cinnamon in
- 7:59Speaker 3: the air.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I was a little underwhelmed by because
- 8:04Speaker 4: I hit Christmas markets almost everywhere. Vienna very big for
- 8:08Speaker 4: Christmas markets. They're just crowded now because everybody's like, I
- 8:12Speaker 4: gotta go to Europe for the Christmas markets. I gotta
- 8:15Speaker 4: get the glue vine. What glue vine? Which is like
- 8:19Speaker 4: muld wine? Oh yeah, yeah, and it's fine. It's fine
- 8:25Speaker 4: hot wine. It's hot red wine. It's right, it is
- 8:30Speaker 4: like charming. But I think the crowds make it unbearable.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Right, what did you buy anything?
- 8:38Speaker 4: No, I from the Christmas markets. Now from the museums.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Yes, oh interesting, you've kind of zigged when other people say, yeah,
- 8:46Speaker 3: what did you buy at the museum? A new T
- 8:47Speaker 3: shirt I got.
- 8:49Speaker 4: I went to almost every like major museum in every city.
- 8:53Speaker 4: So in Amsterdam, I went to the Vango Museum and
- 8:56Speaker 4: I got a tiny little uh van Go and he
- 9:01Speaker 4: like lasted the whole trip with me, and I called
- 9:04Speaker 4: him go go. He was like my laboo boo. But
- 9:08Speaker 4: then he just broke off of his chain. So I
- 9:11Speaker 4: don't carry him around.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Oh what a shame. He's somewhere in Europe.
- 9:14Speaker 4: No, No, he's he's with me, he's with you, He's
- 9:16Speaker 4: still with me.
- 9:16Speaker 3: He's just living in my house fish tank or something.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Yes, I can feed him every day.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Okay, you've got a van go mini ven.
- 9:25Speaker 4: I got some magnets. I got a lot of pins.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Pins.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I got like pins from museums that like have
- 9:33Speaker 4: like a big like art piece, like. I got a
- 9:36Speaker 4: Mona Lisa. I got the Kiss because I went to
- 9:39Speaker 4: the museum in Vienna that has the Kiss and some
- 9:42Speaker 4: other stuff.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Now you so you went to the louver. Was there
- 9:45Speaker 3: any residual damage from the thieves.
- 9:49Speaker 4: No?
- 9:50Speaker 3: Wow, they really cleaned that.
- 9:51Speaker 4: They really did. They really did. No one was on strike,
- 9:55Speaker 4: everyone was working. I was like, well, yeah, I was like, okay,
- 10:00Speaker 4: bounce back.
- 10:02Speaker 3: What happened? They like threw a ladder up against the
- 10:04Speaker 3: side of the building and broke a window.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I think.
- 10:06Speaker 4: So, which is the most basic way to rob a
- 10:09Speaker 4: place that's.
- 10:10Speaker 3: You kind of kind of you know, throw people off.
- 10:12Speaker 3: They're expecting something complicated at this point. Yes, do it simple, Yes,
- 10:15Speaker 3: take it back to basics.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Yeah, real analog Yeah, exactly, analog thievery.
- 10:20Speaker 3: In this digital world, you just need a ladder and
- 10:22Speaker 3: a hammer.
- 10:22Speaker 4: That's all. That's all. Yeah, the Louver was stunning. Paris.
- 10:29Speaker 4: I thought I wasn't going to like and so I
- 10:33Speaker 4: was like, I'm only going to spend two days in Paris.
- 10:35Speaker 4: It's not a huge mistake. I loved Paris.
- 10:38Speaker 3: I loved it wonderful.
- 10:39Speaker 4: It's so charming, it's so like it's it's like a
- 10:43Speaker 4: better New York.
- 10:46Speaker 3: I feel like it's kind of a weirdly a better La.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not like a super tall city.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Yeah, no, it's not. It's not except for the Eiffel Tower,
- 10:56Speaker 4: which again I was like, I'm not going to go
- 10:58Speaker 4: to Eiffel Tower.
- 10:59Speaker 3: What who cares?
- 11:01Speaker 4: It's just a bunch of steel or or whatever. I
- 11:04Speaker 4: got there, I was like, ah, dazzled in the it
- 11:09Speaker 4: was like nighttime, it was lit up. I was like, wow,
- 11:14Speaker 4: look at goth.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I was.
- 11:17Speaker 3: I had that same experience until I saw what was
- 11:19Speaker 3: essentially a rat farm at the base of it.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Well you can't look at the base of it. Well
- 11:23Speaker 4: you can't look at the base.
- 11:25Speaker 3: The postcard should show the base of it. That's a
- 11:28Speaker 3: different picture. Yeah, you see the base of the Eiffel
- 11:31Speaker 3: Tower and it's swarming with rats. It's not that. Not
- 11:35Speaker 3: what you want to see.
- 11:36Speaker 4: No, it's not very rat it is and I think
- 11:40Speaker 4: that is who is making the foods.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Did you have bad food?
- 11:45Speaker 4: I didn't. I wasn't blown away. Oh no, I expected
- 11:48Speaker 4: it to be better. Surprisingly, Vienna very good food.
- 11:52Speaker 3: What are you eating in Vienna?
- 11:54Speaker 4: You know a lot of duck? Actually, okay, because I don't.
- 11:57Speaker 4: I don't eat pork or like red meat.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Okay, okay.
- 12:01Speaker 4: I did accidentally eat rabbit. Oh that was disgusting. It
- 12:05Speaker 4: was really bad.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I've had one bad experience with rabbit.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I don't even want to describe how I mean. It
- 12:10Speaker 3: was rough.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Yeah, you taste the fear, that's what it is.
- 12:15Speaker 3: How did this happen accidentally?
- 12:17Speaker 4: Well, because I went to I was I was really
- 12:21Speaker 4: splurgeon out there. I was doing a lot of chef's
- 12:22Speaker 4: tasting many oh wow, and some Michelin star restaurants and
- 12:26Speaker 4: so like. I went to this restaurant in Vienna called
- 12:29Speaker 4: Duchart unfortunate name. Yeah that's a tough one, yes, but
- 12:34Speaker 4: really good food. Though, really good food.
- 12:37Speaker 3: You have excellent food to overcome.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Yeah, And it's one of those places where like the
- 12:40Speaker 4: chef kind of comes out and it is like, hey,
- 12:42Speaker 4: here's what we're doing. And I asked, like the hostess,
- 12:48Speaker 4: like with the tasting menu, I was like, does this
- 12:51Speaker 4: have any beef on it? I didn't say red meat? Oh,
- 12:54Speaker 4: I said beef. I was like, does this have beef
- 12:56Speaker 4: for pork? And she was like no. I was like,
- 13:00Speaker 4: and that should have been an indicator that there's something.
- 13:03Speaker 3: On colors of meat.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, She's like, oh no, it's not.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Red what is rabbit? Technically?
- 13:14Speaker 4: I think it's red meat.
- 13:15Speaker 3: It's red meat?
- 13:15Speaker 4: Yeah, is it?
- 13:18Speaker 3: We don't want to think about it too hard.
- 13:20Speaker 4: We can't categorize it. We probably shouldn't be eating it.
- 13:23Speaker 3: It's a good point. Yeah, that's a good point. I
- 13:26Speaker 3: kind of classified duck as gray meat.
- 13:28Speaker 4: Oh. Interesting, it's poultry.
- 13:31Speaker 3: It's poultry. Yeah, but it's kind of a grayness to it.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Yeah, well, who's cooking it? I think like duck is duck?
- 13:41Speaker 4: Is the pork of poultry?
- 13:42Speaker 3: Okay?
- 13:43Speaker 4: Right? How I think of it off white meat? Yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 4: it's like an off white like that that rich fanniness
- 13:51Speaker 4: to it.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Right.
- 13:52Speaker 3: I've only ever had ducks served to me as carnadoes.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Oh okay, so that sounds it's very good.
- 13:57Speaker 3: If you go to cacw and Eagle Rock delicious.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Okay, shout out Coca.
- 14:02Speaker 3: I guess that's not that gray. Well, oh god, now
- 14:05Speaker 3: that's not a very I'm very bad at advertising.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Restaurants go to Caca for their gray meat.
- 14:12Speaker 3: No, everyone go to Cacao. It's a delicious Mexican restaurant
- 14:16Speaker 3: in Eagle Rock, California. Nothing You'll be served as gray
- 14:22Speaker 3: another great slogan for a restaurant.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Nothing you'll be served is gray.
- 14:27Speaker 3: That was almost a jingle. Nothing you'll be served is
- 14:31Speaker 3: gray gray. Okay, So you accidentally ate some rabbit meat,
- 14:40Speaker 3: which is unfortunate. Did you enjoy it while you're eating it?
- 14:42Speaker 4: No? I like immediately knew something was a miss. Oh no, yeah,
- 14:46Speaker 4: I was like oh And then I asked and she
- 14:48Speaker 4: was like, oh, it's rabbit, and was oh, oh, I
- 14:52Speaker 4: don't like to hear the heppen. Yeah. But honestly, the
- 14:55Speaker 4: rest of the meal made up for it, and it
- 14:57Speaker 4: was so good.
- 14:58Speaker 3: I feel like there was a moment in the last
- 15:00Speaker 3: for years where people were saying, rabbit is going to
- 15:02Speaker 3: be the next protein.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Uh.
- 15:05Speaker 3: And I think it's just hard to get people on
- 15:06Speaker 3: board with rabbits. They're too cute, they're simply just too cute.
- 15:10Speaker 3: There's nothing you can say about a rabbit that it's
- 15:13Speaker 3: just a.
- 15:14Speaker 4: It's also little creature, so gamy, it's just so gay,
- 15:18Speaker 4: so small.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Yeah, there's nothing about that that screams let's turn this
- 15:22Speaker 3: into a sandwich.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Yeah, let's let's put it in a taco. It's like rabbit
- 15:27Speaker 4: hot dogs. We don't want that.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I've had a rattlesnake caught dog. Ooh, how was that delicious? Yeah, well,
- 15:36Speaker 3: I guess it wasn't brought worst rattlesneak. Now we're just
- 15:40Speaker 3: I'm here lies it's sausage, okay, I mean brought worsty
- 15:44Speaker 3: at this place called somewhere downtown. I can't remember the name.
- 15:48Speaker 3: I probably shouldn't say the name because then I'll say
- 15:50Speaker 3: something weird about it and.
- 15:52Speaker 4: You can't get a lot of phone calls.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Worst coucha I think that's what it's called cucha. Yeah,
- 16:00Speaker 3: saying that horribly, How would you say that with a
- 16:03Speaker 3: German accent versus coucha? Yeakay, yeah, that seems if I
- 16:08Speaker 3: was saying that, people would be like, this is the
- 16:09Speaker 3: most annoying man alive.
- 16:11Speaker 4: It sounds like worst couchie and that Oh who that's rough,
- 16:18Speaker 4: that's wrong.
- 16:18Speaker 3: What a business that would be?
- 16:22Speaker 4: I think men would still go of course.
- 16:25Speaker 3: You would have a line out that. I like the
- 16:27Speaker 3: idea of advertising a business. Your the thing you do
- 16:30Speaker 3: is serve the worst of something. Yeah, that feels like
- 16:33Speaker 3: we should get back to that. Because everyone wants to
- 16:35Speaker 3: be doing the best of everything. You have to have
- 16:37Speaker 3: excellent reviews. Why not just make the absolute worst version
- 16:41Speaker 3: of something as a novelty?
- 16:43Speaker 4: Yeah? Why yeah? Because isn't that like that place with
- 16:47Speaker 4: bad service, Like, what's that? It's like, I know there's
- 16:50Speaker 4: one in Vegas and it's obviously no, it's like it's
- 16:57Speaker 4: it has its own I don't I don't know what
- 16:59Speaker 4: it is. But like their whole thing is like we're
- 17:01Speaker 4: going to be rudee and we take your order and
- 17:05Speaker 4: it is very just annoying. It's it's it's like, I
- 17:09Speaker 4: don't like it.
- 17:10Speaker 3: I want the rudeness to be natural. Yes, I want
- 17:13Speaker 3: the waiter to actually hate me, yes, or hate their job,
- 17:16Speaker 3: you know, or just not want to be there with me. Yeah,
- 17:19Speaker 3: if they're getting paid to be mean.
- 17:21Speaker 4: It's it's there is inauthentic.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, find something deeply wrong with me and then
- 17:29Speaker 3: I have a problem.
- 17:29Speaker 4: With it, Yeah, and then roast me. Yes, then roast me.
- 17:33Speaker 3: I don't want that going towards your paycheck. Yeah, well,
- 17:37Speaker 3: I mean, speaking of rude things, Grin, I was looking
- 17:41Speaker 3: forward to having you here on the podcast today. I thought,
- 17:44Speaker 3: she'll come by, we'll have a nice chat, we'll catch up,
- 17:47Speaker 3: we'll move on. Unfortunately, it seems like that's not going
- 17:51Speaker 3: to happen today because the podcast is called I said
- 17:53Speaker 3: no gifts, and I'm sitting across the table from you,
- 17:56Speaker 3: and I'm looking at three separate gifts. Yeah, all beautifully wrapped.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Thank you? Yeah, so I my mother always told me
- 18:05Speaker 4: never to show up empty handed.
- 18:06Speaker 3: The amount of mothers that get blamed on this podcast. Yeah, okay,
- 18:10Speaker 3: well you want me to open them here?
- 18:12Speaker 4: I think so?
- 18:12Speaker 3: Yeah, Okay, this is probably embarrassing for you.
- 18:15Speaker 4: But no, I'm well a little but.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Oh and you d dropping one that's not embarrassing for me.
- 18:26Speaker 4: Thank goodness. It's durable.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Oh, this one's dense.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:29Speaker 3: This one is about the size of like a I
- 18:32Speaker 3: would say, like a geara Deli chocolate, but it feels
- 18:34Speaker 3: like it's like a pound. It's quite heavy. Should I
- 18:37Speaker 3: open these in any order?
- 18:38Speaker 4: I think smallest, the biggest.
- 18:40Speaker 3: All right, Yeah, we have like the small one, then
- 18:43Speaker 3: there's one that's essentially the size of a CD jewel case,
- 18:46Speaker 3: and then one that is the size of just a gift. Okay,
- 18:50Speaker 3: let's open this first one, the very heavy one.
- 18:53Speaker 4: Yeah, and we all sort of go together.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, so it's a little we'll put the clues
- 18:58Speaker 3: together as we go. And you've wrapped them really well.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Thank you trying to.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Oh, I can always use more of these for Energizer battery. Yes,
- 19:09Speaker 3: are they new or used?
- 19:10Speaker 4: They are new. They are new. They I just buy
- 19:12Speaker 4: them in bulk. So I like it, just wrapped four
- 19:15Speaker 4: together and.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Kind of a new design for Energizer. I haven't seen
- 19:18Speaker 3: this new logo.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Yeah they've they're rebranding Web two point zero.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Yeah, very twenty first century. Yeah, why did you bring batteries?
- 19:27Speaker 4: Oh well yeah, okay, open We're opening next and open
- 19:31Speaker 4: the rest of them.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Okay, let's see.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Yes, no, I would like to consider this a biblical text.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Okay, religious text. Let's see this. Oh my God, brand
- 19:46Speaker 3: new by the way, Britney spears Baby one more time,
- 19:49Speaker 3: the CD.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Yes, where did you get this?
- 19:52Speaker 1: Oh?
- 19:52Speaker 4: Hey, Papa Amazon? Wow?
- 19:56Speaker 3: Are they still like, is this something that they're still printing?
- 19:59Speaker 4: And so I think so or not. I might have
- 20:03Speaker 4: bought it used and didn't realize it, and we hope
- 20:07Speaker 4: that that's what's in there. I think it is.
- 20:09Speaker 3: This isn't. Yeah, who knows what. There could be drugs
- 20:11Speaker 3: in here. It could be, this could be a whole
- 20:13Speaker 3: drug laundering, could be, should be who knows what means?
- 20:17Speaker 4: Wow?
- 20:18Speaker 3: Okay, so I've got that. Should I open the next thing? Okay?
- 20:20Speaker 4: Wow?
- 20:20Speaker 3: This is I mean, I in heaven already, and look
- 20:24Speaker 3: at this beautiful of the lore ribbon.
- 20:27Speaker 4: It is a lore and I made this form my
- 20:30Speaker 4: juicy coutor outfit.
- 20:32Speaker 3: You made that. Oh I was going to just throw
- 20:35Speaker 3: everything and just talk about that for the next hour. Now, okay,
- 20:39Speaker 3: let's see opening. Oh my god, this is an.
- 20:46Speaker 5: Incredible gift day. It's a CD player. This is unbelievable.
- 20:52Speaker 5: This is very very gen Z. This is I've been told,
- 20:57Speaker 5: this is you know, gen Z Central. Everyone wants a
- 21:00Speaker 5: CD player at this.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Point, and look at me. I didn't have to buy Wow. Wow, Okay,
- 21:05Speaker 3: I don't even know where to begin. Tell me why
- 21:08Speaker 3: you brought it all?
- 21:09Speaker 4: Okay, So I the very first gift that I remember
- 21:15Speaker 4: getting for myself, like not for myself, but like getting
- 21:18Speaker 4: for Christmas was a CD player and it was like
- 21:21Speaker 4: the best thing right that anyone could have ever gotten me.
- 21:26Speaker 4: It became my entire personality, which I'm sure everyone in
- 21:29Speaker 4: my age felt that way. And then Baby One More
- 21:33Speaker 4: Time was the first CD I bought for myself. Oh
- 21:36Speaker 4: so I was like, do.
- 21:37Speaker 3: You remember where you bought it?
- 21:38Speaker 4: I bought it at Sam's Club.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Which kind of the Walmart version of Costco.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Yes, exactly, Yeah, Yeah.
- 21:45Speaker 3: What was what CDs were given to you when you
- 21:47Speaker 3: got the CD player?
- 21:48Speaker 4: There was a Brian mcnight CD that was just a
- 21:52Speaker 4: single of a song that wasn't popular at all.
- 21:57Speaker 3: That's a tough one.
- 21:58Speaker 4: It was really tough. I didn't like that one. But
- 22:02Speaker 4: then my dad had like, remember like the Scholastics for CDs,
- 22:08Speaker 4: whereas like you you got like this form and then
- 22:11Speaker 4: you like filled out the CDs you want it and
- 22:13Speaker 4: then sent in a check with it and they sent
- 22:15Speaker 4: you CDs.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Is that kind of like the Columbia House? Yes, like that.
- 22:21Speaker 4: So he would do that and he got me the
- 22:24Speaker 4: Braxton's which is Tony Braxton's sisters. They had a treo.
- 22:28Speaker 3: I had no idea she had sisters or that they
- 22:30Speaker 3: were competing with her? Is she in the bread?
- 22:33Speaker 5: Now?
- 22:34Speaker 4: She had already she had already had like started her career.
- 22:38Speaker 4: But is Tamar uh?
- 22:43Speaker 3: And then the other two stuff for the bread?
- 22:45Speaker 4: And then the other two I think one of them
- 22:47Speaker 4: passed away.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Dark turn I know.
- 22:53Speaker 4: Oh, I feel so bad because they all start with
- 22:54Speaker 4: tea to Wanda and then another one let's say Tammy. Yeah,
- 23:01Speaker 4: let's say Tammy. We'll call her Tammy for that. Wow.
- 23:06Speaker 3: I had no idea. And did they all start out
- 23:09Speaker 3: at the same time as Tony? And then Tony was like,
- 23:11Speaker 3: forget it, I'm moving on.
- 23:12Speaker 4: Well, if you watch like the made for TV movie
- 23:15Speaker 4: about Tony wish I will, they like started in church together, okay,
- 23:20Speaker 4: and then she got introduced to Babyface. Oh yeah, but
- 23:25Speaker 4: her sisters were also like trying to get into it.
- 23:27Speaker 4: But Babyface kind of.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Was wanted nothing to do with Tony.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Let's just focus on Tony and then you guys maybe later.
- 23:36Speaker 4: But honestly, the Braxton CD really top to bottom underrated
- 23:41Speaker 4: singing because Tamar honestly a better singer than Tony Broxton
- 23:45Speaker 4: interested both of them incredible, but Tamar vocally range wise
- 23:48Speaker 4: like she's.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Oh this is and it's hard to hear she you know,
- 23:53Speaker 3: Tony cheated her out of a career.
- 23:55Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, she still has something.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Oh she does doing casinos.
- 23:59Speaker 4: Maybe yeah, yeah, she just did.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Which yea moha.
- 24:05Speaker 4: No, they did like a waiting twix hail, like thirtieth
- 24:12Speaker 4: anniversary or something. Tony Braxon has a song on that soundtrack.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Tamar does it. But I think Tamar did the concert.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Oh Tamar, I have some self respect. What is she doing?
- 24:25Speaker 3: Sing your own songs?
- 24:28Speaker 4: She does? She does have her own songs. She just
- 24:30Speaker 4: got you have to find them.
- 24:32Speaker 3: She's really good, Tamar. My apologies, I'm sure it's but
- 24:38Speaker 3: you know, I just I feel for you, you know,
- 24:40Speaker 3: to have a sibling kind of outshine you, and you know,
- 24:44Speaker 3: it's hard to unbreak my heart. It's hard to overcome.
- 24:47Speaker 4: It's hard to beat that.
- 24:49Speaker 3: You know. That's Tony got that number down and it's like,
- 24:52Speaker 3: forget it. Sisters, yeah, yeah, are they all younger than her?
- 24:56Speaker 4: Tamar younger than her, but I think.
- 24:58Speaker 3: The other two are forty years older than her.
- 25:00Speaker 4: They are there is like a significant I don't think significant,
- 25:04Speaker 4: but they are older. Yeah, I don't. I don't. I
- 25:07Speaker 4: don't know.
- 25:08Speaker 3: What's Tony doing. She can't go to the Waiting to
- 25:10Speaker 3: Exhale concert.
- 25:11Speaker 4: What a great question, Tony, What are you doing? Where
- 25:14Speaker 4: is she? I think she's well, okay, I think she's well, Okay,
- 25:18Speaker 4: she just was busy.
- 25:19Speaker 3: I think so she doesn't feed into these nostalgia.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Gigs, which, honestly, that's where the money's at.
- 25:25Speaker 3: It is absolutely Yeah, if you're I mean, if you're
- 25:27Speaker 3: not a current person, just play the old hits. Yes,
- 25:31Speaker 3: do the whole album.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Don't give us anything new. I don't want anything new
- 25:35Speaker 4: from you.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Also satisfying artistic path. Yeah, okay, so you got the Braxtons.
- 25:46Speaker 4: What other ones Brian McKnight that no one knows? And
- 25:52Speaker 4: I think that's that. That was what I got with
- 25:55Speaker 4: the CD player.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, I remember. Did you have a video of
- 25:59Speaker 3: the plane.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Crash back at one? Yeah?
- 26:03Speaker 3: What's the story of that video? Does he? Is he
- 26:05Speaker 3: a plane crash survivor? Or is he?
- 26:07Speaker 4: I think he's just a responder. I don't think he's
- 26:10Speaker 4: a part of it at all.
- 26:11Speaker 3: He's just singing.
- 26:14Speaker 4: Yeah, he's just like I'm a ghost and I'm walking
- 26:17Speaker 4: through it. Maybe he died on it. I a helpful guy. No,
- 26:21Speaker 4: everybody's like on fire, and he's just.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Like still he's focused on his career.
- 26:27Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he's been. He's been in the news lately.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Oh no, yeah, well like he had a very tumultuous divorce.
- 26:35Speaker 4: Oh and now you know every everyone has a podcast,
- 26:39Speaker 4: and he's he's been on a podcast talking about it,
- 26:42Speaker 4: and then his ex wife has been on a podcast
- 26:44Speaker 4: talking about it, and they're both coming.
- 26:47Speaker 3: For Are you team ex wife or team Bryant? I'm
- 26:50Speaker 3: team no one pick a side, can't pick a I'm
- 26:52Speaker 3: ex wife about it.
- 26:55Speaker 4: I'm probably ex wife as well. But I love Brian
- 26:58Speaker 4: mcnight's voice. That's but he's a tough character at this point. Yeah.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Yeah, we hate to hear it, Brian. We play the hits.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Just play the hits. Stop talking and play the hits.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Sing the hits, play the piano.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Okay, So then you thought my first CD is going
- 27:15Speaker 3: to be Brittany and you got this classic album?
- 27:18Speaker 4: Yes?
- 27:19Speaker 3: And did you continue to be a Britney Spears fan
- 27:21Speaker 3: for years to come?
- 27:21Speaker 4: I did? I did?
- 27:23Speaker 3: When did you drop off with Brittany or you're still
- 27:25Speaker 3: a Brittany fan?
- 27:26Speaker 4: I dropped off. M that's a really good question. I
- 27:30Speaker 4: think I'm kind of still a Brittany fan, just not
- 27:32Speaker 4: as like I wasn't as hardcore as time went on,
- 27:36Speaker 4: because she was just putting out problem and I was like,
- 27:39Speaker 4: this is too much. Also, I don't know what your
- 27:41Speaker 4: point of view is anymore, because she's always had a
- 27:45Speaker 4: point of view.
- 27:45Speaker 3: She has a crystal clear point of.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Very clear is a point of it is a point
- 27:50Speaker 4: of view. What an incredible song?
- 27:57Speaker 3: Honestly is an incredible piece of music? It's dated in
- 28:01Speaker 3: such a gorgeous way, heartbreaking, Yes, email my heart.
- 28:05Speaker 4: It's soulful, yes, what does it even mean?
- 28:09Speaker 3: What doesn't mean?
- 28:11Speaker 4: It's like it's like digital get down for in sync?
- 28:14Speaker 3: That one is a little that's a raunchy number to
- 28:17Speaker 3: be singing as a child.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Yeah, and I was saying it, I was seeing it.
- 28:23Speaker 3: That one was before you could really be online even Yeah.
- 28:27Speaker 3: So if the digital of it all was a little.
- 28:30Speaker 4: Future it they were ahead of their time.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Meanwhile, Brittany is just emailing Britney Spears at yahoo dot com.
- 28:37Speaker 3: She had she probably did. I wonder if Britney Spears
- 28:43Speaker 3: ever had an email address, or if she does currently
- 28:45Speaker 3: she feels like someone that never needed one or will
- 28:48Speaker 3: need one. Yeah, I'm sure all that's handled for her.
- 28:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:53Speaker 3: I doubt she's getting in Gmail and firing off emails
- 28:55Speaker 3: to people. But maybe I'm wrong.
- 28:56Speaker 4: She might be.
- 28:57Speaker 3: She had to sign up for that Instagram account. Yeah,
- 29:00Speaker 3: need a new email address for that.
- 29:01Speaker 4: Yes, you do. You need an email.
- 29:03Speaker 3: So there is a Britney Spears email out there somewhere.
- 29:06Speaker 4: And we're gonna find it. We're gonna crack it today.
- 29:09Speaker 3: We'll go through every possibility. I'll start emailing that.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Let's email my heart. Do you take all the h's,
- 29:17Speaker 4: I take all the Gmail.
- 29:19Speaker 3: I'm sure they'll probably beat all of these email addresses
- 29:25Speaker 3: because the people just email. Do you have a favorite
- 29:29Speaker 3: Britney Spears song?
- 29:32Speaker 4: Oh boy, I would probably have to say Circus. Oh yeah,
- 29:39Speaker 4: what album is that?
- 29:40Speaker 3: What's that called again?
- 29:42Speaker 4: Isn't it? Oh?
- 29:44Speaker 3: But there is one called Circus? And then what's the
- 29:45Speaker 3: one before that? Something about lights. It's a really good one.
- 29:51Speaker 4: Let me see here, and this might be around the
- 29:52Speaker 4: time I fell off.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Yeah, see this is uh.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Black Blackout came out?
- 29:58Speaker 3: Blackout? Yeah, Blackout's the really underrated one.
- 30:01Speaker 4: Yes, it is very underrated. She has a song with
- 30:03Speaker 4: the Yiang Twins on that.
- 30:04Speaker 3: That was kind of like her comeback ish.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Chef, and then I'm thinking in the Zone, in.
- 30:10Speaker 3: The zone, now in the Zone is toxic? Right? I
- 30:14Speaker 3: mean which I think? Is that easily her best song?
- 30:17Speaker 4: It's yes, It's.
- 30:19Speaker 3: One of those songs where it's just like wow, I
- 30:20Speaker 3: can't believe this thing came to that video? Oh the
- 30:23Speaker 3: video making of the video? Why don't we have those?
- 30:27Speaker 4: Because TV died.
- 30:30Speaker 3: It's such a shame.
- 30:32Speaker 4: Yeah it is.
- 30:32Speaker 3: I wonder if you can stream making of the video anyway.
- 30:35Speaker 4: I think a lot of MTV stuff is like you
- 30:39Speaker 4: can't what a shame. It really is upsetting. I tried
- 30:43Speaker 4: to look up like old trls and like they'll have
- 30:46Speaker 4: a couple online, but like they never show the videos
- 30:49Speaker 4: with them.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Oh because of licensing is yes.
- 30:52Speaker 4: Because Vivo owns everything.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Now okay, we've got to take this company down.
- 30:56Speaker 4: Well, I support they have you know how like when
- 31:02Speaker 4: you get a smart TV, whether it's like Samsung or
- 31:05Speaker 4: like whatever, that TV has its own Like.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Chan's like yeah, it's like own Apple TV is thing.
- 31:12Speaker 4: So I have a Samsung TV and there is a
- 31:14Speaker 4: Vivo channel for all nineties music videos, and that is
- 31:18Speaker 4: just kind of what my TV is.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Oh that sounds great, it's so nice. This is a
- 31:22Speaker 3: great advertisement for Samsung.
- 31:24Speaker 4: I guess, yeah, I want to.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Get that va. I yeah, because there's really no place
- 31:28Speaker 3: except I mean, obviously YouTube can watch music videos, but
- 31:31Speaker 3: it's nice. Part of the fun of music videos is
- 31:33Speaker 3: just them rolling yea video to video. Another thing I
- 31:37Speaker 3: miss is pop up videos. You remember those? Yeah?
- 31:40Speaker 4: I remember.
- 31:40Speaker 3: Someone has got to stand up and take ownership of
- 31:44Speaker 3: these things and put them in some sort of Maybe
- 31:46Speaker 3: it's the Library of Congress. Yeah, that sounded so weird
- 31:50Speaker 3: going through my brain. The Library of Congress should stand
- 31:53Speaker 3: up and say pop up video making of we're going
- 31:55Speaker 3: to protect you.
- 31:56Speaker 4: I think all of I think all of MTV should
- 31:59Speaker 4: be protected, and all of the h one.
- 32:01Speaker 3: It's just kind of vanished into digital sayings.
- 32:03Speaker 4: Because like, I love the nineties, I love the eighties
- 32:06Speaker 4: that whole.
- 32:07Speaker 3: I think it's well documented at this point that we
- 32:08Speaker 3: all love both of those decades. Yes, and probably we
- 32:11Speaker 3: were talking early thousands too. Yes, people love to feel
- 32:15Speaker 3: the warmth of nostalgia.
- 32:16Speaker 4: Nostalgia is a hell of a drum it certainly, it's
- 32:20Speaker 4: really like addictive.
- 32:22Speaker 3: It's uh yeah, I wonder if I'm going to try
- 32:25Speaker 3: to track down some of this making up. I want.
- 32:27Speaker 3: I can't imagine they've aged very well.
- 32:29Speaker 4: Yeah well yeah, no, I mean instincts bye bye bye.
- 32:32Speaker 4: Probably was fine.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Oh I remember that making of very clearly.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:36Speaker 4: And then Christina Aguilera has come on over was my
- 32:39Speaker 4: favorite one?
- 32:39Speaker 3: What is that? One's just kind of a house party.
- 32:42Speaker 4: Yes, in different colors. It's like different, it's like moving sets.
- 32:46Speaker 4: It's like very say my name, Oh, but a party
- 32:49Speaker 4: instead of fucking right?
- 32:52Speaker 3: Oh? Interesting? Yeah, so she just ripped them off. Just
- 32:56Speaker 3: say it, she ripped them off. She's a thief.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Wow.
- 33:00Speaker 4: Wow?
- 33:01Speaker 3: Does she still make music or she was on the voice, Yes.
- 33:05Speaker 4: She was doing the voice. She's she's she throws a
- 33:07Speaker 4: Halloween party every year.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Okay, I know that interesting career move. I know that
- 33:11Speaker 3: she's kind of become an Elvira type.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Interesting, seems like Christina aguilar could still have some sort
- 33:19Speaker 3: of yeah relevant.
- 33:20Speaker 4: I think she does. I think she does like still
- 33:23Speaker 4: do like shell like pop pop on stage and sing
- 33:27Speaker 4: in some places. And she did when when the Mulan
- 33:30Speaker 4: came out, the live action Mulan came out, she re
- 33:32Speaker 4: recorded reflection.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Oh okay, boring.
- 33:39Speaker 4: Sorry ill.
- 33:47Speaker 3: She was always just slight three steps behind Brittany.
- 33:51Speaker 4: You know, I think comparing Brittany and Christina is like
- 33:55Speaker 4: comparing Prince and Michael interesting because they are different. They're
- 34:00Speaker 4: different artists, very different voices, very different voices doing very
- 34:05Speaker 4: different things. Right, But we in our brains put them
- 34:09Speaker 4: in the same boxes because like we were told to.
- 34:13Speaker 3: But like if you put people against each other.
- 34:16Speaker 4: If you look at their body of work, though, it's
- 34:18Speaker 4: very different, very specific to them, right, and I will
- 34:22Speaker 4: write an entire dissertation.
- 34:24Speaker 3: No, I believe this. I feel like Brittany is a
- 34:25Speaker 3: much more I think Christine is a little bit looser, yeah,
- 34:29Speaker 3: a little bit more organic or something. I mean that's
- 34:33Speaker 3: all relative, of course, but Brittany is a much more compact.
- 34:37Speaker 4: Yeah, Brittany's more of a product product, yes, yes, more
- 34:41Speaker 4: of an object. But like the name Britney Spears is
- 34:45Speaker 4: more of like a it's it's, it's, it's it's become
- 34:48Speaker 4: its own entity. And also even just as a performer,
- 34:51Speaker 4: like Brittany is a dancer, dancing, you know.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Kind of the same way that Michael was a dancer, yes, yeah,
- 35:00Speaker 3: I'm more of a Prince person. If we're pitting them
- 35:03Speaker 3: against each other, and I'm happy to I think Prince
- 35:06Speaker 3: is better.
- 35:07Speaker 4: Hey, I love that for you. I love that for you.
- 35:10Speaker 4: I love both of them. I'm more of a Michael girl.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Oh interesting, Yeah, yeah, I.
- 35:15Speaker 4: Think just mused is his music just resonated with me
- 35:20Speaker 4: a little bit more?
- 35:20Speaker 3: Okay, big mistake on your part.
- 35:22Speaker 4: Well, I guess we fight now.
- 35:25Speaker 3: But you're obviously more of a Brittany than a Christina.
- 35:28Speaker 4: I wouldn't say obviously.
- 35:30Speaker 3: You brought me the scene I did.
- 35:31Speaker 4: That's that's the first one that I bought.
- 35:33Speaker 3: You went all the way to Sam's Club to get
- 35:35Speaker 3: the get it for yourself?
- 35:36Speaker 2: You did?
- 35:37Speaker 3: Went to see what was the second seed?
- 35:39Speaker 4: You bought? Cisco's Unleashed the Dragon.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Oh, a big one.
- 35:43Speaker 4: It was another top to bottom and.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Hit hit hit hit, Well, he fell off the.
- 35:48Speaker 4: Map, yeah he did. He did. He like put out
- 35:52Speaker 4: a second album that didn't do well compared to the
- 35:57Speaker 4: first one because it didn't have a single like Thong.
- 35:59Speaker 3: So I didn't have a novelty. Now, yeah you got.
- 36:02Speaker 3: If you have a novelty, it's hard to keep going.
- 36:04Speaker 4: Yeah it is, but like that first album I think
- 36:09Speaker 4: is actually underrated because people only think about the Thong song, right, the.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Big hit, and then kind of no other songs from it.
- 36:15Speaker 4: That he had one other single from it called Incomplete,
- 36:18Speaker 4: but it was a ballad, and people.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, to go from the thong song to a ballad, Yes,
- 36:23Speaker 3: you've got at least have like a mid tempo number. Yes, next, Yeah,
- 36:26Speaker 3: have the ballad be the third single.
- 36:28Speaker 4: The problem with the rest of the album, though, is
- 36:30Speaker 4: that it's so hyper sexual that none of them could
- 36:33Speaker 4: be singles.
- 36:35Speaker 3: None of them.
- 36:36Speaker 4: Yes and I was thirteen just like living it up.
- 36:40Speaker 4: Yeahs yep in the back of my grandma's car, just
- 36:45Speaker 4: like yeah, and she like she let me buy like
- 36:51Speaker 4: she she let me buy it, and it had a
- 36:53Speaker 4: parental advisory warning and she didn't care.
- 36:56Speaker 3: The parental advisory warning means nothing anymore. People just it's
- 37:00Speaker 3: weird to even see it on this stuff. It's like,
- 37:02Speaker 3: why did you bother? Yeah, there's nothing as parental advisory anymore.
- 37:06Speaker 3: The world is just parental advisory. It's like, well, I
- 37:10Speaker 3: don't need you labeling it.
- 37:12Speaker 4: Also, like kids have access to everything. Yeah, Like if
- 37:15Speaker 4: they got Spotify, they're gonna listen.
- 37:16Speaker 3: To they'll find it, yeah, explicit. Do they have parental
- 37:20Speaker 3: controls on Spotify? I wonder?
- 37:22Speaker 4: I don't know. I'm no longer with Spotify.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Oh interesting, who are you with now?
- 37:26Speaker 4: A music?
- 37:27Speaker 3: I'm currently with Apple Music. I'm bouncing from streaming service
- 37:30Speaker 3: to streaming service. Wishing I just had CDs, YEP or
- 37:36Speaker 3: just my iPod. Yeah, I still have two old iPods
- 37:38Speaker 3: that if I were to fix them, I think I
- 37:41Speaker 3: would be gold.
- 37:42Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's that's fun.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Fixing them would probably be a huge hassle. Yeah, then
- 37:47Speaker 3: where am I getting the MP three's? They've got us
- 37:50Speaker 3: all trapped?
- 37:51Speaker 4: They do? They do which against the wall? I think, like,
- 37:54Speaker 4: we really do need to bring back physical media. Oh,
- 37:57Speaker 4: I'm right there with Yeah, even VHS. I don't even
- 38:00Speaker 4: want a DVD.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Give me h, well, now you've gone too far.
- 38:03Speaker 4: Give me a VHS VHS. I it would be sooner
- 38:09Speaker 4: if I could find like a way to do it.
- 38:11Speaker 4: They're so like all TVs.
- 38:14Speaker 3: You can't oh yeah, getting a VCR and then connecting.
- 38:17Speaker 4: It to a newt a VCR. They just you need
- 38:20Speaker 4: like a very specific converter for like a smart TV, and.
- 38:24Speaker 3: Then it probably looks like garbage the house. Yeah, just
- 38:27Speaker 3: like for what so that can have horrible picture quality,
- 38:30Speaker 3: that's not worth it. It's a blu ray.
- 38:36Speaker 4: Why so I can watch like a director's commentary. No,
- 38:40Speaker 4: thank you.
- 38:41Speaker 3: You're very active on letterbox.
- 38:47Speaker 4: I actually did just start like getting more active.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Oh are you doing reviews?
- 38:52Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, like I'm going to try to do a
- 38:54Speaker 4: movie a day, wow a day. Yah.
- 38:57Speaker 3: What have you watched recently?
- 38:58Speaker 4: I'm in my like nineties black rom combat well rom
- 39:05Speaker 4: com slash dramas. So like I watched Love Jones, I
- 39:09Speaker 4: watched Boomerang, which is an incredible movie.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Who's Boomerang?
- 39:13Speaker 4: That's Eddie Murphy. Oh wow yeah yeah. In the first
- 39:16Speaker 4: ten minutes we do get some transphobic stuff. It was
- 39:19Speaker 4: nineteen ninety two. But after that, man, really good movie.
- 39:24Speaker 4: Like it's very well written and very funny.
- 39:26Speaker 3: What is the premise of Boomerang?
- 39:27Speaker 4: So he is like this this womanizer who works in
- 39:30Speaker 4: marketing for like this women's like lifestyle brands sort of
- 39:35Speaker 4: like perfume. They do perfume and stuff, and he's like
- 39:39Speaker 4: the head of marketing. He's like this bad boy. He's
- 39:41Speaker 4: like a bad boy of marketing. He he's like a womanizer,
- 39:45Speaker 4: like women throw themselves over him. And then Robin Gibbons
- 39:49Speaker 4: comes in and kind of reverses the roles and like
- 39:52Speaker 4: he becomes very head over heels for her, and she
- 39:55Speaker 4: plays him out like she'll she'll, she'll leave him alone.
- 39:59Speaker 4: She's like yeah. And then Holly Berry is in it,
- 40:03Speaker 4: a very young Holly Berry. Yeah. Yeah. Martin Lawrence is
- 40:06Speaker 4: in it. It's really good. She's in it, and she
- 40:09Speaker 4: is like this like dough wide creative director. Her and
- 40:13Speaker 4: Eddie Murphy become friends, and she's kind of like the
- 40:16Speaker 4: antithesis of Robin Gibbons, and so he's kind of like
- 40:19Speaker 4: stuck in between, like I really want to try to
- 40:22Speaker 4: date Robin and yeah, and then I won't tell you
- 40:25Speaker 4: what happens.
- 40:26Speaker 3: Why is it called boomerang because he's like he's throwing
- 40:30Speaker 3: back and forth.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:31Speaker 4: Also, Earth the kids in it, and wow, it's such
- 40:36Speaker 4: It's like a very small role but so good. And
- 40:39Speaker 4: Grace Jones is in it.
- 40:40Speaker 3: Oh my god, I just got to see Grace Jones
- 40:43Speaker 3: at the Bowl.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Oh cool.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Was one of the coolest people alive. Yeah still yeah,
- 40:49Speaker 3: crazy to be that cool.
- 40:50Speaker 4: I'm so jealous. I had two friends that went to
- 40:52Speaker 4: that show and they were like blown away.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it's just like wow, what a presence. Yeah,
- 40:57Speaker 3: like a being.
- 40:58Speaker 4: And in that movie she is absolutely that. Like there's
- 41:02Speaker 4: a scene where she's just like in a in a
- 41:05Speaker 4: very fancy restaurant, yelling, look at my pussy, look at
- 41:10Speaker 4: my I mean, according to her now it's the best spot.
- 41:19Speaker 4: But yeah, it's she has like this thick French accent.
- 41:22Speaker 4: It's so funny.
- 41:22Speaker 3: Oh, I'm excited to watch.
- 41:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:25Speaker 3: So you're logging a review a day. How long are
- 41:27Speaker 3: these reviews?
- 41:28Speaker 4: Very short? Two sentences. I'm not getting into detail.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Okay, I think that's nice.
- 41:32Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just like, hey, here's the vibe. I watched
- 41:34Speaker 4: Jungle Fever. Wow, Spike Lee joint that is, I'm gonna say,
- 41:40Speaker 4: not good.
- 41:41Speaker 3: I feel like God blessed Spike Lee.
- 41:43Speaker 4: Is.
- 41:44Speaker 3: You know, when he's good, he's good, and then you
- 41:46Speaker 3: know he's maybe because he just made so many movies. Yes,
- 41:48Speaker 3: you're gonna have some misses.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Which you've got to respect that he was putting out movies.
- 41:53Speaker 4: He loves to make them, Yeah, and he loves to
- 41:56Speaker 4: put himself in them. Just okay, but yeah, that one,
- 42:04Speaker 4: that one was rough. So's it's like this, this man
- 42:07Speaker 4: who cheats on his wife with a white woman is
- 42:09Speaker 4: Wesley Snipes. Cheats on his wife with a white woman,
- 42:11Speaker 4: his white secretary, and then they try to be together
- 42:14Speaker 4: and everybody's like, you can't date outsider your race, and
- 42:19Speaker 4: it's like Italians against black people. And it's just like, Okay, Spike,
- 42:23Speaker 4: we get it, girl, you did this already. You grew
- 42:29Speaker 4: up in Italian New York and they were racist.
- 42:32Speaker 3: I get it.
- 42:35Speaker 4: We don't need to see it from everybody's perspective, but yeah.
- 42:39Speaker 3: How many stars did you give it?
- 42:41Speaker 4: I gave that one two and a half.
- 42:42Speaker 3: So, like, what is your goal to be on letter box?
- 42:45Speaker 3: It's just like to log the movies for yourself. I
- 42:47Speaker 3: still am trying to figure out why people get on
- 42:49Speaker 3: this thing.
- 42:50Speaker 4: You know. I think I'm doing it for myself to
- 42:54Speaker 4: keep track of what I've watched, because like these are
- 42:57Speaker 4: all new watches. Except last night I watched The Wood,
- 43:01Speaker 4: which is a movie that I watched so much as
- 43:03Speaker 4: a child, and that's such a great movie and MTV production.
- 43:06Speaker 4: Actually that's like the only one of like these first
- 43:10Speaker 4: five days that I've already seen, and I want to
- 43:13Speaker 4: like keep track. I want to make it a point
- 43:16Speaker 4: to watch new movies and not really rewatch movies, and
- 43:20Speaker 4: to like know what.
- 43:21Speaker 3: I've watched and actually think about them. Yeah that makes sense. Yeah,
- 43:25Speaker 3: maybe I'll try it.
- 43:26Speaker 4: Yeah, and it also makes you like not look at
- 43:28Speaker 4: your phone because you're like, I have to write a
- 43:29Speaker 4: review on this, right, But people want my reviews. I
- 43:32Speaker 4: want my accountable Yes, I'm a critic. I have to
- 43:36Speaker 4: pay attention. So yeah, that's that's why I'm doing it. Okay. Yeah,
- 43:42Speaker 4: I do think people get on it because they do
- 43:44Speaker 4: think their reviews are important.
- 43:46Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I'm sure I know a lot of men
- 43:49Speaker 3: who I probably could text right now who think their
- 43:53Speaker 3: reviews are important. Hate to break it to you, simply.
- 43:56Speaker 4: Aren't they are? No one's seeing that.
- 44:00Speaker 3: I just saw the first forty five minutes of Avatar three,
- 44:04Speaker 3: Avatar Fire and ash, We'll give it some respect. Then
- 44:08Speaker 3: I left perfect movie going experience. That's all I needed.
- 44:13Speaker 4: I've never left a movie, never got a start. I'll
- 44:18Speaker 4: think about it.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Do you have an AMC card? I do, and you're
- 44:20Speaker 3: free to go?
- 44:21Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah you can.
- 44:22Speaker 3: You can leave the theater whenever you.
- 44:24Speaker 4: Watch You're right. I saw it opening night. Oh wow, yes,
- 44:27Speaker 4: and I saw it an IMAX because my friend Jess
- 44:30Speaker 4: it was her birthday and those movies always come out
- 44:33Speaker 4: on her birthday.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Oh interesting, just by accident.
- 44:36Speaker 4: She has like the perfect December birth Yeah, and I
- 44:40Speaker 4: had just gotten back from Europe, so I was very flagged.
- 44:44Speaker 4: And then on top of that, we saw it an
- 44:46Speaker 4: IMAX three D and we were in Roe b oh,
- 44:53Speaker 4: and so I guess I stayed awake for fifteen minutes
- 44:57Speaker 4: before my brain was like, we simply can't. We simply
- 44:59Speaker 4: can't process any of this information, and so I fell asleep.
- 45:04Speaker 4: I woke up immediately understood what was happening because it's
- 45:07Speaker 4: the same movie that came out. Of course it's the same.
- 45:10Speaker 4: It's the same as the second one.
- 45:12Speaker 3: Yeah, there's kind of nothing to follow.
- 45:14Speaker 4: No, nope, no.
- 45:16Speaker 3: Just some creatures flying through the air and neon colors. Yeah,
- 45:21Speaker 3: who cares?
- 45:22Speaker 4: Who cares?
- 45:23Speaker 3: Roby? That's what time did you What time of night
- 45:27Speaker 3: did you go?
- 45:27Speaker 4: This was? I think we went to the six pm showing.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Oh that's a tough tough situation. Yeah, oh, should have left,
- 45:35Speaker 3: should have left?
- 45:36Speaker 4: I mean I got a good nap.
- 45:37Speaker 3: And yeah, three hours of sleep.
- 45:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I kept my three D glasses on while it
- 45:43Speaker 4: was not me. I don't know if that made my
- 45:46Speaker 4: dreams three D?
- 45:48Speaker 3: But yeah, oh well, is there anything left to say
- 45:51Speaker 3: about Brittany or the CDs?
- 45:54Speaker 4: Brittany she's back.
- 45:55Speaker 3: She's Is she going to come back?
- 45:57Speaker 4: I don't think so. I don't think so. Yeah.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Have you ever seen her live?
- 46:01Speaker 4: Yes? Okay, and oh it was so fun. I saw
- 46:03Speaker 4: her at Radio City. This was like towards towards like
- 46:09Speaker 4: this was twenty eighteen, so she was kind of like
- 46:13Speaker 4: we were all a little concerned. Okay, sure, right, And
- 46:17Speaker 4: it was like the performance was very like stunted, very like,
- 46:22Speaker 4: you know, not not Britney level, but it was still
- 46:27Speaker 4: a great show. And she invited like this man on
- 46:31Speaker 4: stage and she was like, Hi.
- 46:33Speaker 1: What's your name?
- 46:34Speaker 4: And he was like Giuseppe. She's like Jippippy and he
- 46:37Speaker 4: was like, no, it's Jiseppe. She's like everybody say.
- 46:39Speaker 3: Had to jippee racist Italian.
- 46:44Speaker 4: It was so insane. She's like, hi, Jippippy. It's like
- 46:49Speaker 4: it's clearly Giuseppe. Brittany.
- 46:52Speaker 3: She had an she was working it. Yeah, she can
- 46:57Speaker 3: call him whatever she wants, she can, and he loved it.
- 47:00Speaker 3: Everyone this is Mario, He's lucky to be up there. Wow,
- 47:13Speaker 3: that's exciting. I guess I'll never see your live. Maybe
- 47:17Speaker 3: maybe there'll be We can always hope, hope for Brittany.
- 47:21Speaker 4: I would love to keep hold out hope for Brittany.
- 47:26Speaker 4: I support her with everything she does. Yes, not that, Brittany.
- 47:32Speaker 4: You hear that I'm here for you. I'm here for you.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Maybe this is all she needs. Britney spears reach out. Okay, well,
- 47:42Speaker 3: I think we should play a game. I'm so excited
- 47:44Speaker 3: to have the CD player. This is life changing for me.
- 47:47Speaker 4: And you said no gift.
- 47:48Speaker 3: I know this is unbelievable. Can actually I'm gonna go
- 47:51Speaker 3: on a jog with that CD player.
- 47:53Speaker 4: It's no skip, it's anti skip. Wow.
- 47:55Speaker 3: Email my heart blasting gosh. All right, we're gonna play
- 47:59Speaker 3: a game called Gifts mass Sure, but I need a
- 48:00Speaker 3: number between one and ten from you.
- 48:03Speaker 4: Let's go with six.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Okay. While I'm doing some like calculating, you can promote, recommend,
- 48:08Speaker 3: do whatever you want to be right back.
- 48:10Speaker 4: Okay, I don't have much to promote. But this year,
- 48:15Speaker 4: a really fun show named Kevin. It's called Kevin is
- 48:17Speaker 4: coming out. It's an animated show. It's going to be
- 48:19Speaker 4: on Amazon. It's coming out at some point this year.
- 48:22Speaker 4: Keep an eye out for it. It's going to be great,
- 48:25Speaker 4: really really great cast. Woopy Goldberg is a voice in it.
- 48:28Speaker 4: It's about cats. Let's see, I am technically like, I'm
- 48:33Speaker 4: single and looking I'm bisexual. So hey girls, hey boys,
- 48:39Speaker 4: whoever wants in, you're welcome. And yeah, I'm a Sagittarius
- 48:48Speaker 4: son Virgo rising Gemini moon. If that matters to you,
- 48:53Speaker 4: I just want to give you all of the information.
- 48:57Speaker 3: If this doesn't lead to a marriage, then this podcast
- 48:59Speaker 3: has been a mess of failure. What a waste of
- 49:02Speaker 3: time the last six years of Okay, this is how
- 49:07Speaker 3: we play gift Master. I'm going to name three celebrities
- 49:10Speaker 3: that I'm going to name three gifts, three things you
- 49:12Speaker 3: can give away. You're going to tell me which celebrity
- 49:14Speaker 3: you would give which gift and why. All right, the
- 49:18Speaker 3: celebrities today, we're starting off on a tough note. Candace Cameron,
- 49:23Speaker 3: Beer Burr Buer, Candace.
- 49:25Speaker 4: Cameron, Yeah, yes, the stomach, that's DJ.
- 49:29Speaker 3: Yes, DJ Tanner. Number two is Jaws now that's the shark.
- 49:35Speaker 3: And number three is them all Clooney, We all know them.
- 49:38Speaker 4: All.
- 49:39Speaker 3: The three gifts you'll be giving away are number one
- 49:41Speaker 3: a student loan, Number two the all new for twenty
- 49:45Speaker 3: twenty six Dodge dur Ango, and number three chronic lower
- 49:49Speaker 3: back pain.
- 49:50Speaker 4: Okay, okay, So I think for Candace, I'm going to
- 49:54Speaker 4: give chronic lower back pain because I think she just
- 49:58Speaker 4: doesn't know what it means to suffer given her politics.
- 50:03Speaker 4: For Jaws, I want to give him the Durango because
- 50:06Speaker 4: I would love to see a that's just for me,
- 50:11Speaker 4: and I think, honestly, I think you'd be good at it.
- 50:14Speaker 4: And then I would give a mall the student loans
- 50:17Speaker 4: because the mall feels like she would want to forgive
- 50:19Speaker 4: student loans and like help somebody out. So I think
- 50:23Speaker 4: that would be a great gift for her. She'd be like,
- 50:25Speaker 4: oh my god, thank You'll absolutely pay this.
- 50:27Speaker 3: What is them all up to? Just doing good things?
- 50:31Speaker 4: Being better than George.
- 50:35Speaker 3: Voting around the lake?
- 50:36Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, in something floey with perfect hair and passing
- 50:41Speaker 4: some I don't even know what she does.
- 50:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. She's some sort of humanitarian or
- 50:47Speaker 3: she is involved in some sort of.
- 50:50Speaker 4: I think she's like the lawyer for the world.
- 50:53Speaker 3: She's world lawyer yeah, she has some sort of that
- 50:57Speaker 3: kind of human rights. And then it was like sunningly
- 51:02Speaker 3: beautiful and just did all of these things.
- 51:04Speaker 4: And everyone was like, those two things shouldn't go again,
- 51:07Speaker 4: but they did, and that's pretty good.
- 51:11Speaker 3: I think that that's a good use of I mean,
- 51:13Speaker 3: I would also consider giving Candae the student loan. I
- 51:17Speaker 3: feel like she's probably one of these people who feels
- 51:18Speaker 3: like they shouldn't be forgiven right. Maybe she could use
- 51:21Speaker 3: the student loan to go to college, maybe widen her horizons,
- 51:27Speaker 3: figure some things out. Yeah, she's a tough case.
- 51:30Speaker 4: Yeah, you hate to see it.
- 51:33Speaker 3: We hate to see her. Yeah, So hopefully the chronic
- 51:37Speaker 3: lower back pain will do something. And the shark behind
- 51:40Speaker 3: the wheel, why not? We haven't seen it before.
- 51:42Speaker 4: We've never seen it.
- 51:43Speaker 3: And what was Jaws last movie?
- 51:47Speaker 4: You know, you hear that shark week. We haven't seen
- 51:50Speaker 4: a shark behind the wheel. And what's Jaws up to?
- 51:53Speaker 3: How have they not made a new Jaws movie?
- 51:55Speaker 4: You know, Steven Spielberg is probably like, don't touch it, right,
- 51:58Speaker 4: Just isn't there Jaws too?
- 52:00Speaker 3: There's like a billion Jaws. I think like during the
- 52:03Speaker 3: seventies and eighties, I think they made quite a few
- 52:05Speaker 3: Jaws anything may Jaws three D. So it's not this
- 52:07Speaker 3: precious of a property.
- 52:09Speaker 4: You know what it is. I think like the Great
- 52:11Speaker 4: White Shark is no longer like as scary as like.
- 52:16Speaker 3: Mega right, but maybe that's why that why it's even scarier,
- 52:21Speaker 3: because it's underrated and it's coming for you interesting write it.
- 52:26Speaker 3: Write it, Steven, check your inbox, email my heart. Okay,
- 52:33Speaker 3: well you played the game perfectly. Thank you, And now
- 52:35Speaker 3: I feel like we should answer a listener question. We
- 52:37Speaker 3: hope me answer a listener question. People are writing into
- 52:40Speaker 3: I said no gifts at gmail dot com, or they're
- 52:43Speaker 3: sending voice notes. They have all sorts of problems, and
- 52:47Speaker 3: we answered them as much as we can. All right,
- 52:50Speaker 3: this is hybridger. I'm in a bit of a pickle
- 52:53Speaker 3: that maybe you or your possibly rude guest could help
- 52:56Speaker 3: me with. Possibly. Okay, So, as I pay for twenty
- 53:00Speaker 3: somethings twenty something daughter's cell phone service, she doesn't share
- 53:04Speaker 3: her location with us, though we share our location with her.
- 53:07Speaker 3: She says she doesn't want us snooping on her. I
- 53:10Speaker 3: really am only interested in her location for her safety.
- 53:14Speaker 3: I am tempted to make her pay for her own
- 53:16Speaker 3: cell phone service. What do you think? Thanks, We love
- 53:18Speaker 3: your show and would never give you a gift if
- 53:20Speaker 3: you didn't want one. That's nice. That's from Mark and Seattle.
- 53:24Speaker 3: What do we think about this situation? Mark's entitled daughter
- 53:29Speaker 3: is kind of cruising around the city. She's at the
- 53:31Speaker 3: Space Needle, she's at the fish market at.
- 53:36Speaker 4: Seattle Grace Memorial.
- 53:37Speaker 3: Yeah, she's constantly.
- 53:40Speaker 4: And that's the problem. She keeps going to the hospital.
- 53:47Speaker 3: And Mark has no idea where she is. She's sending
- 53:50Speaker 3: these texts saying come and find me, taunting her parents,
- 53:56Speaker 3: me riddles. Marc has a wink of sleep in years,
- 54:02Speaker 3: but he's still paying the cell phone bill.
- 54:04Speaker 4: Yeah. Mark, you know, as a daughter myself, I think
- 54:09Speaker 4: you gotta chill. I think you got to chill because, like,
- 54:14Speaker 4: if this were nineteen ninety two, you know, would you
- 54:18Speaker 4: know where she is? Great now?
- 54:20Speaker 2: Question?
- 54:20Speaker 4: Yeah, Like I think I think just because technology has
- 54:24Speaker 4: given us access to each other doesn't mean we should
- 54:27Speaker 4: always have constant access to each other. And she's twenty,
- 54:30Speaker 4: she's an adult, she's.
- 54:32Speaker 3: A responsible woman. Yeah, she's out there, and Mark is saying, well,
- 54:36Speaker 3: I'm ready to ruin her financially and not nowhere.
- 54:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and like it's keep her on your cell phone bill.
- 54:44Speaker 4: You're just doing this, you're threatening this out of spite.
- 54:46Speaker 3: It's a family plan. You're kind of not You're just
- 54:49Speaker 3: paying one.
- 54:49Speaker 4: Bill more, right, right, don't do not add more financial
- 54:53Speaker 4: distress to a twenty year old.
- 54:55Speaker 3: She already hates you, she can't stand you. This is
- 54:59Speaker 3: your lifeline to this person.
- 55:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:03Speaker 3: I mean you've got to hold on to what you can. Yeah,
- 55:05Speaker 3: otherwise you're gonna lose her forever.
- 55:07Speaker 4: Mark, I think so. And just like, if you want
- 55:09Speaker 4: to know where she is, ask her and maybe she'll
- 55:11Speaker 4: tell you.
- 55:12Speaker 3: Just be nosier, Yeah, call her constantly. Text where are you? Yes?
- 55:17Speaker 4: Text where? Text you up? Where you at? But with
- 55:21Speaker 4: that symbol, like.
- 55:25Speaker 3: Any good father was Yeah, I feel like that that
- 55:28Speaker 3: solves the problem pretty clearly. I don't know why he
- 55:30Speaker 3: would even ride in about yeesh, it was so obvious.
- 55:32Speaker 4: Yes, it's very clear, very clear.
- 55:35Speaker 3: We can tell why the daughter isn't like him.
- 55:36Speaker 4: I love that. Mark was, like, we share our location
- 55:39Speaker 4: with her.
- 55:42Speaker 3: She doesn't care where you are, Mark, you're at home
- 55:44Speaker 3: in front.
- 55:44Speaker 4: Of the TVs. Where you are.
- 55:46Speaker 3: You're at work too much? You were absent?
- 55:49Speaker 4: Wow.
- 55:50Speaker 3: Wow, absent father. The daughter does not, She's very distant
- 55:55Speaker 3: from him, and now suddenly he wants to Suddenly he
- 55:57Speaker 3: wants to be close after twenty years.
- 56:00Speaker 4: It's too late. And just because just because you're financially supporting.
- 56:03Speaker 3: Her, Oh no, that it takes more than that relationship.
- 56:08Speaker 4: Does You can't buy love, Mark, you can't buy it.
- 56:13Speaker 3: Take her to family therapy. That's what you really need
- 56:17Speaker 3: to cancel all of the cell phone service. Yes, put
- 56:20Speaker 3: that towards a good doctor. Yes, figure out what's going
- 56:23Speaker 3: on between you and Stacy.
- 56:24Speaker 4: And I know I heard that Seattle has a lot
- 56:27Speaker 4: of great doctors.
- 56:28Speaker 3: Oh my god, doctor Fraser Crane.
- 56:30Speaker 4: Doctor Fraser Crane.
- 56:31Speaker 3: Call into doctor Fraser Crane.
- 56:33Speaker 4: We have a doctor, doctor uh Gray.
- 56:37Speaker 3: Doctor Gray. Is that what Gray's Anatomy has said? Yeah,
- 56:42Speaker 3: I've never seen the show. Interesting, Wow, I've never pictured
- 56:47Speaker 3: that show outside of the brief glimpses of hospital that
- 56:50Speaker 3: I've seen.
- 56:51Speaker 4: Yeah, Oh, there's a lot of outside. Oh really, Yeah,
- 56:54Speaker 4: there's a whole storyline where they get lost in the woods,
- 56:57Speaker 4: a plane crash.
- 56:57Speaker 3: Where's the find me there? That I could have ruined
- 57:02Speaker 3: that episode, could have it could have a lot of
- 57:04Speaker 3: an episode you couldn't write now because they'd say, well, look,
- 57:07Speaker 3: we just look at our phone and find them.
- 57:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 57:09Speaker 3: Wow. So they have all these doctors in Seattle and
- 57:13Speaker 3: Mark's ignoring help. He's got a lot of work to do. Yeah,
- 57:17Speaker 3: we've answered that question perfectly. Be better, Mark, be better. Well,
- 57:23Speaker 3: I've got my truly incredible gift here. This is just fantastic.
- 57:28Speaker 3: I'm going to be listening to Brittany non stop. I
- 57:31Speaker 3: want to just look at the back of this and
- 57:32Speaker 3: just see what other Oh so, what were these singles?
- 57:36Speaker 3: Was maybe one more Time You Drive Me Crazy? And
- 57:38Speaker 3: sometimes Yeah.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Wow.
- 57:39Speaker 3: They just did the first three and then they were like, well,
- 57:42Speaker 3: then the rest of this is going to be kind
- 57:43Speaker 3: of forgettable.
- 57:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 57:45Speaker 3: Oh, and then there's the cover of the beat Goes On.
- 57:47Speaker 3: That's the final track. Yeah, some of these are kind
- 57:51Speaker 3: of like why did we write this?
- 57:52Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 57:53Speaker 3: I will be there. I mean that. How is that
- 57:56Speaker 3: an original piece of music?
- 57:57Speaker 4: Yeah? Wait, what is the track?
- 58:00Speaker 3: It goes baby? One more Time You Drive Me Crazy?
- 58:03Speaker 3: Sometimes Soda Pop, Born to Make You Happy From the
- 58:07Speaker 3: bottom of my broken heart, I remember that one.
- 58:09Speaker 4: Yes, I think I think both of those have music videos.
- 58:13Speaker 3: Really, Yes, Born to Make You Happy? And yes wow, yeah, wow,
- 58:17Speaker 3: nobody saw those No, they didn't reviewers. I think they

- 58:30Speaker 3: I love that the you songs. Yeah, those sound great.
- 58:36Speaker 3: Do it with Don Philip? Rip? I assume Don.
- 58:41Speaker 4: Philip possibly, but I think he has a really beautiful voice.
- 58:46Speaker 4: I remember that song an adult man. I think it
- 58:50Speaker 4: is an adult man.
- 58:51Speaker 3: That is so strange.
- 58:52Speaker 4: It doesn't it feel like Casey Kasum or something.
- 58:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I need to get my eyes on Don Philip.
- 58:58Speaker 3: That's I'm google this right now. Uh, this is so weird.
- 59:04Speaker 3: I've never seen this man. He's just kind of an
- 59:07Speaker 3: odd looking guy.
- 59:08Speaker 4: Oh. I can't wait for you to open it and
- 59:10Speaker 4: look at the booklet.
- 59:11Speaker 3: He looks like somebody from the Big Bang Theory. Oh
- 59:16Speaker 3: he is just a man, yeah, just kind of like
- 59:18Speaker 3: a guy, non descript white man. Interesting.
- 59:22Speaker 4: Well, he looks like he looks like one of the
- 59:25Speaker 4: like the guys who sang on Carben San Diego do.
- 59:28Speaker 3: What were they called? Like they had some jazzy name Rocapella.
- 59:33Speaker 4: Yes, he looks like a member of Rockapella.
- 59:36Speaker 3: He probably was Brittany should do a number with Rockapella.
- 59:42Speaker 3: That would be that could change things.
- 59:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that would break all of our brain.
- 59:46Speaker 4: Yeah what I'm in? But what what?
- 59:53Speaker 1: Well?
