- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rap An iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing in scrubbing in.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Oh, we're gonna be scrubbing and I'll teach you these
- 0:18Speaker 3: finest tools on the our rules and how to make
- 0:25Speaker 3: a surgery.
- 0:27Speaker 4: That's right, your eyes rum so wide. That was off
- 0:30Speaker 4: the cuff looking at me.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Just then, Well, it's the Monday after Thanksgiving.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Gobble gobble cluck Yep.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Monday after a holiday is tough.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Why is that?
- 0:46Speaker 2: I don't know, Because like I really settled into doing
- 0:49Speaker 2: Hiley and I spent like we haven't spent just cool,
- 0:52Speaker 2: like that much time together with just us and so long.
- 0:55Speaker 4: It was so fun.
- 0:56Speaker 3: So do you know what I realized about myself? I
- 0:58Speaker 3: had an epiphany. Okay, I can be super productive, girly,
- 1:04Speaker 3: I could get five hundred things done in a day.
- 1:07Speaker 3: I pride myself and how productive I can be inefficient?
- 1:09Speaker 3: I can be Okay, if I have nowhere to go
- 1:13Speaker 3: or nothing to get up for, I am completely worthless
- 1:18Speaker 3: and I cannot get myself to do anything. It's very
- 1:22Speaker 3: interesting and there's probably something psychological behind there. Maybe I
- 1:27Speaker 3: just talked to my therapist about it. But like if I,
- 1:30Speaker 3: like over the Thanksgiving break, I didn't have a lot
- 1:33Speaker 3: of plans, so I could sleep in it, slept in,
- 1:38Speaker 3: didn't make it to the gym, so I was like, well,
- 1:39Speaker 3: that's done for the day.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Then I would try correct.
- 1:43Speaker 3: But if I on the weekend, if I don't get
- 1:45Speaker 3: up and do it, it's gone. It's like not on.
- 1:48Speaker 3: It's like I cannot go backwards. If I don't wake
- 1:51Speaker 3: up with the purpose, the day is meaningless. Whoa pretty profound.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Meaningless is a little old.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Yeah, meaningless is a little harsh, but like, uh, if
- 2:01Speaker 3: I don't wake up with a purpose, the day is
- 2:05Speaker 3: not going to be uh productive right at all?
- 2:09Speaker 2: It's interesting, Yeah, I think it's I would just like
- 2:13Speaker 2: for everyone to know that. Every time Tanya has time
- 2:16Speaker 2: off and a break, I get a text where she
- 2:18Speaker 2: goes Becca and then I go what what And She's like,
- 2:26Speaker 2: I have been so worthless because I have nothing to
- 2:30Speaker 2: get up. I've been so unproductive. I'm like, great, that's
- 2:33Speaker 2: your body probably needing rest. It's probably just like taking off,
- 2:37Speaker 2: like your mental like your brain's taking off and your
- 2:40Speaker 2: physical body is taking off. She's like, it's just crazy,
- 2:43Speaker 2: But I'm saying every time she has a break, we
- 2:47Speaker 2: have this discussion that we're having right now on the
- 2:49Speaker 2: podcast where she needs a reason for why she like
- 2:52Speaker 2: her body's resting. She can't handle that she's just resting. No,
- 2:57Speaker 2: I always have to be I don't think you need
- 2:58Speaker 2: to talk to your therapists about it.
- 3:00Speaker 4: That is what I'm trying to say. I want to
- 3:02Speaker 4: overthink it. I think you're just resting.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Interesting though, No, as someone who is a professed professional
- 3:09Speaker 3: restor's say, you're.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Fine, you professional wrestlor, right, Yeah, like we played I
- 3:18Speaker 1: don't know if you ever played the game Risk?
- 3:20Speaker 4: Was that the thing that you were playing on the Yeah?
- 3:23Speaker 3: The board? Yeah, it takes days.
- 3:25Speaker 4: It's a you can't think of anything that I'd.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Rather do less.
- 3:28Speaker 4: I was like, I've never been so happy to not
- 3:30Speaker 4: be a part of something.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Weirdly, I think you would like it. I think if
- 3:34Speaker 3: you played it, you get very into it because it's
- 3:36Speaker 3: like a very intense game. But you can't play it all.
- 3:39Speaker 3: It takes a long time and you can't just sit
- 3:41Speaker 3: there all once because you get into fights, Like you
- 3:43Speaker 3: get so worked up over it that you need to
- 3:45Speaker 3: like take.
- 3:45Speaker 2: I don't like games where I have to negotiate stuff
- 3:48Speaker 2: or like talk like stuff out like that. Oh yeah,
- 3:50Speaker 2: like I never liked Mafia. I don't like any of
- 3:53Speaker 2: those games.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Yeah, So that took us three days and that's pretty
- 3:56Speaker 3: much all I did this break. So I thought i'd
- 3:58Speaker 3: have to offer you.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Your brain was probably needing rest from that having to
- 4:02Speaker 2: prep for the game.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess, very heated. And it's so funny because
- 4:06Speaker 3: I was posting about it all weekend and people kept
- 4:08Speaker 3: dming me saying, like my mom banned that game from
- 4:11Speaker 3: our house ten years ago, and like my two uncles
- 4:14Speaker 3: got into like a fight where they didn't speak for
- 4:16Speaker 3: three months after that game. Like it like creates like
- 4:18Speaker 3: a lot of tension.
- 4:20Speaker 4: It's like politics.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yeh kind of kind of it. So anyways, that's
- 4:25Speaker 3: that's a little bit about me. What about you?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Well, I mean we did so Thanksgiving on actual Thanksgiving Day.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Haley's mom was out of town till that night, so
- 4:33Speaker 2: we just did our own thing on Thanksgiving and it
- 4:36Speaker 2: was so much fun.
- 4:38Speaker 4: We woke up late, like we slept in, no stress.
- 4:41Speaker 2: About sleeping in, happily slept in, made breakfast, went on
- 4:44Speaker 2: a hike, went and saw a wicked again.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Shopped afterwards.
- 4:51Speaker 3: The stores are open on things Giving.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Day at the Universal City Walk. They were sure, and
- 4:58Speaker 2: then went home and had pizza for dinner. It was
- 5:00Speaker 2: just so fun, like we had the and then we
- 5:02Speaker 2: played games and watched the holiday.
- 5:03Speaker 4: It was just perfect.
- 5:05Speaker 2: And then on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, we celebrated
- 5:10Speaker 2: with her family, so like cooked and ate all the
- 5:12Speaker 2: Thanksgiving food and it was just so lovely.
- 5:15Speaker 4: It was just such a fun weekend. I had the
- 5:16Speaker 4: best time, truly. Yeah, how was yours?
- 5:20Speaker 2: Because you y'all had your first Thanksgiving at a restaurant.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I've never gone to a restaurant on Thanksgiving Day
- 5:26Speaker 3: and kind of liked it.
- 5:29Speaker 5: But yeah, no clean, no setup, no ordering, no stress,
- 5:34Speaker 5: just made a reservation and what time did you all
- 5:37Speaker 5: dine in?
- 5:38Speaker 3: They had a little champagne uh table how while you're
- 5:42Speaker 3: waiting and chocolate covered strawberries that looked divine, And I said,
- 5:46Speaker 3: you know, I'm gonna spoil my dinner, so I'm gonna
- 5:49Speaker 3: have that when I come out.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Guess what, they were gone.
- 5:50Speaker 3: They were gone.
- 5:51Speaker 4: So that's why you don't wait.
- 5:52Speaker 3: That's a lesson in life. It looks good, Do it now?
- 5:56Speaker 3: Do it now? But yeah, So we went to this
- 5:59Speaker 3: restaurant and it was like a seafood place, and so
- 6:01Speaker 3: they had like a Thanksgiving dish. But I was like,
- 6:04Speaker 3: I'm not going to get like a turkey here. We're
- 6:07Speaker 3: like on the water. So got myself some fish and
- 6:10Speaker 3: had some martinis and.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Just express gratitude.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Express gratitude live great.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Yeah so you're interested, Oh.
- 6:21Speaker 3: I know, unfortunate day to get that.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Well, it's just a day of gratitude regardless. Yeah, your
- 6:29Speaker 2: body's working out. It's supposed to.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Say exactly exactly, you're right, you're right, you're right right.
- 6:33Speaker 3: It's all about perspective, perspective.
- 6:35Speaker 4: So would y'all do it again?
- 6:36Speaker 3: Or are you like no, I'm already thinking about next year.
- 6:39Speaker 3: I want to hosting. Yeah, but I want to make
- 6:41Speaker 3: it really big and do like Thanksgiving and Friendsgiving.
- 6:45Speaker 4: People are gonna be with their families, not on the
- 6:47Speaker 4: same day.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Oh you're gonna do both too, So like one weekend friends,
- 6:51Speaker 3: next weekend family.
- 6:52Speaker 2: You just love a challenge, love being busy, loves being busy.
- 6:58Speaker 4: So and then y'all just played games and stead the
- 7:00Speaker 4: rest of the weekend.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Then so that wasn't sing to San Diego did that,
- 7:04Speaker 3: and then we came back up and then we had
- 7:05Speaker 3: the kids for the rest of the weekend and we
- 7:07Speaker 3: just did literally just They love the game Risks, so
- 7:09Speaker 3: we just played that, watched movies. I went saw Wicked, Yes,
- 7:14Speaker 3: which we will get to. And I think that's really
- 7:20Speaker 3: a meeting your new baby niece. Yeah, so cute and
- 7:25Speaker 3: she's a really good baby.
- 7:26Speaker 4: I love that, love that for them.
- 7:28Speaker 3: I love that for them too, I know, but she's
- 7:31Speaker 3: so cute, I know. And like watching Robbie hold her,
- 7:35Speaker 3: I was like, oh, the ovaries do you be hurting?
- 7:41Speaker 4: They be aching?
- 7:43Speaker 3: But also because he's just so good with babies because he's.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Had Erry he is, I know, but not everyone has
- 7:50Speaker 2: the natural parental abilities.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Correct that Robbie has a right. I agree. I think
- 7:56Speaker 4: he is a rare breed breed.
- 7:59Speaker 3: But like, like I am still scared of I've had
- 8:02Speaker 3: Annissan and nephew have held babies. I'm still scared to
- 8:05Speaker 3: pass them off. Yeah yeah, like the past, hold them
- 8:08Speaker 3: all day long, put a little pillow under my arm
- 8:10Speaker 3: and you got me for hours. But the pass off
- 8:13Speaker 3: really stresses me out because of the neck and he
- 8:15Speaker 3: just like goes on in there and he's like, before.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I had kids, I didn't like to hold other people's
- 8:21Speaker 1: babies because the upside is that's that'll feel nice for
- 8:25Speaker 1: a few minutes, but the downside is unspeakable tragedy, so
- 8:27Speaker 1: I don't want any part of it.
- 8:29Speaker 3: The pass off is very so scary.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna hold it wrong their neck. I I can't.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I don't trust myself to do this properly. And as
- 8:35Speaker 1: it's so as lovely as it would be, I'm not
- 8:38Speaker 1: holding your kid interesting.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Oh, I'm like, I'm like, give me, I cannot wait.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Now I'm good at it. Now, I'm old.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Yeah, you're profresh, so you would just like you're not.
- 8:48Speaker 3: You're not scared of the past.
- 8:50Speaker 4: I have no fear of babies.
- 8:52Speaker 3: The pass off is so scary.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Oh, I'm just like, I'm just I've never felt more confident. Yeah.
- 8:58Speaker 3: And then she like did some like wiggle and he
- 9:01Speaker 3: was like, oh the she did burp And I'm like,
- 9:03Speaker 3: what they honestly?
- 9:09Speaker 4: Truly, Mark, what did y'all do for Thanksgiving?
- 9:11Speaker 5: Well?
- 9:11Speaker 1: I had a terrible Thanksgiving, I did. Yeah, So I
- 9:15Speaker 1: told you last week my parents were coming in, yeah,
- 9:18Speaker 1: and our friends from oak Park were coming in and
- 9:22Speaker 1: that was going to be the gang. Well, both of
- 9:24Speaker 1: my parents got COVID, so they had to cancel and
- 9:27Speaker 1: they couldn't come. And then Thanksgiving morning, I woke up
- 9:30Speaker 1: with a stomach.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Bug and virus.
- 9:34Speaker 1: It wasn't it wasn't bad. Nothing ever came from it,
- 9:37Speaker 1: if you know what I mean.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Yeah, it came out, Oh it didn't.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Streak is intact. I have not vomited since twenty eighteen. Sorry,
- 9:42Speaker 1: two thousand and eight. Two thousand and eight the last
- 9:44Speaker 1: time I vomited. So I got it. I got a
- 9:46Speaker 1: nice streak going here and it's still intact and proud
- 9:48Speaker 1: to say, but it was touch and go there for
- 9:50Speaker 1: a little while. And so my wife was taking care
- 9:53Speaker 1: of me and getting me the appropriate pills and stuff
- 9:55Speaker 1: to help me feel better. And then she mentioned to
- 9:57Speaker 1: our friends from Oak Park, Hey, Mark's and I feeling
- 9:59Speaker 1: the greatest. So he's to stay in the bedroom and
- 10:01Speaker 1: then we'll still we'll do our Thanksgiving dinner. We'll do
- 10:03Speaker 1: it outside. You know, Everything's gonna be fine. They're like, yeah,
- 10:05Speaker 1: we're not coming down, yes, yeah. So they stay canceled
- 10:09Speaker 1: and we just so we literally took the whole foods
- 10:12Speaker 1: Thanksgiving dinner, split it in two and tupperwares. They came
- 10:16Speaker 1: and we gave them their half of the dinner and
- 10:18Speaker 1: then they left. One of them they sent the representative
- 10:22Speaker 1: And so then I was banished to the bedroom all
- 10:25Speaker 1: day because we were going to Disneyland on Saturday. If
- 10:27Speaker 1: I give the kids whatever, I'm fighting because at the
- 10:29Speaker 1: time is it neurovirus, we don't know. I give it
- 10:32Speaker 1: to one of the kids. We're not going to Disneyland
- 10:33Speaker 1: this year. We go every year around this time. And
- 10:35Speaker 1: so I was banished to the bedroom for the entire day.
- 10:38Speaker 1: And that was my Thanksgiving was just watching TV.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Okay, you know what's crazy. I feel like this year
- 10:44Speaker 3: I know more people that were sick on Thanksgiving than ever.
- 10:47Speaker 3: And I'm talking like you were talking COVID. I had
- 10:50Speaker 3: friends had neurovirus that flew like so many people were sick.
- 10:54Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 10:55Speaker 4: It was so sorry you were sick.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Thank you. But I mean I made the best. But
- 11:00Speaker 1: first of all, I watched Green baywin, which is always great.
- 11:02Speaker 1: But also I watched I watched a bunch of Shrinking
- 11:06Speaker 1: season two, which is phenomenal. I love that show. Bad
- 11:09Speaker 1: Sisters is back, which who knew that was.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Coming back too.
- 11:14Speaker 4: It's on right now.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't even know it was back, so I
- 11:17Speaker 1: started that. I watched a great movie on Amazon Prime
- 11:21Speaker 1: called My Old Ass.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Oh my god, it's amazing.
- 11:25Speaker 1: It's fantastic.
- 11:27Speaker 2: It is I think one of the best coming of
- 11:29Speaker 2: age movies we've had in a very long.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I agree, and I had heard about it, and then
- 11:36Speaker 1: I was like, I don't I'm going to watch next.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Oh I heard about that that might be good. Turned
- 11:39Speaker 1: it on. I'm weeping. I love the whole thing. It's
- 11:42Speaker 1: really really great and just the sweetest movie you can imagine.
- 11:45Speaker 1: It doesn't match its title like it's gonna be a
- 11:48Speaker 1: hilarious comedy. It's just so so sweet.
- 11:52Speaker 4: I know part of me wonders if they had chosen
- 11:54Speaker 4: different title.
- 11:55Speaker 2: If it had, it would have. I think it did well,
- 11:58Speaker 2: and I think especially coming to like.
- 12:00Speaker 3: My Old Ass doesn't make me want to watch it.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I know, but it's I'm here to tell you. Don't
- 12:05Speaker 2: let the title for you because it is such a
- 12:07Speaker 2: great movie.
- 12:08Speaker 1: And the reason it's it's no spoilers. Little girl meets
- 12:11Speaker 1: her future self. Yeah, that's the basic premise. Little Girl,
- 12:15Speaker 1: an eighteen year old girl meets your thirty nine year
- 12:17Speaker 1: old self. But yeah, it's funny and it's sweet and
- 12:19Speaker 1: there's a love interest, and it's just it couldn't be
- 12:22Speaker 1: a lovelier movie.
- 12:23Speaker 4: What do you think about that? I love Bad. Sisters
- 12:26Speaker 4: is one of my favorite series I've ever watched.
- 12:28Speaker 1: The first season was awesome. I'm not deep enough in
- 12:30Speaker 1: this season much of an opinion, but I love.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Yeah, there's four episodes out.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Sample they kind of play with it, they'll give you
- 12:37Speaker 1: a few time, but yeah, it's.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Really I love that cast. I love the sister dynamic.
- 12:45Speaker 2: It's so fun. It's funny, but it's serious. It's it's
- 12:48Speaker 2: just I love it.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Did either of you watch Disclaimer?
- 12:52Speaker 1: No?
- 12:52Speaker 3: No, No, go again?
- 12:56Speaker 1: What years?
- 12:59Speaker 3: But it's like very it's like very, kind of like heavy,
- 13:01Speaker 3: not so like I like to. I like to go
- 13:04Speaker 3: to bed to something a little lighter. So we've been
- 13:07Speaker 3: using Shit's Creek as our palate cleanser to like, Oh yeah,
- 13:10Speaker 3: neither one of you watched It's Creek heavy. I've tried,
- 13:13Speaker 3: they've tried.
- 13:13Speaker 1: No, I've seen almost all of it. I don't think
- 13:15Speaker 1: we got through the whole thing back.
- 13:16Speaker 3: No, but you don't like it.
- 13:17Speaker 4: I've tried.
- 13:18Speaker 3: I like it, Okay, I'm telling you, watching it for
- 13:21Speaker 3: the second time around, it is even more fantastic of
- 13:25Speaker 3: a show than I ever thought it was. And I'm
- 13:30Speaker 3: so happy that we ring Like we were just putting
- 13:32Speaker 3: it on as like a let's make me laugh after disclaimer,
- 13:34Speaker 3: like I need to go to bed on the laugh,
- 13:36Speaker 3: And now we're like rewatching the series again and I'm
- 13:39Speaker 3: so happy about it.
- 13:41Speaker 4: I'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying it for
- 13:44Speaker 4: round two.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you, though, like really enjoying it for round two.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I mean as someone who watches literally does not change
- 13:52Speaker 2: what I watch every night with just friends, that we
- 13:53Speaker 2: just have it. It just goes season after season after season.
- 13:57Speaker 4: I get it. Like I still laugh out loud at
- 13:59Speaker 4: the I said to Hayley last night.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I was we were watching and there were obviously background
- 14:04Speaker 2: actors at the central perk. I was like, God, what
- 14:07Speaker 2: I would give to just have been an extra on
- 14:10Speaker 2: set of this show immortalized, Oh.
- 14:12Speaker 4: My gosh, so good.
- 14:15Speaker 2: If you could be an extra on any show where
- 14:18Speaker 2: it's there forever? What show would it be?
- 14:21Speaker 3: My Friends or Sex and City toss up? Really a
- 14:26Speaker 3: toss up.
- 14:27Speaker 1: M this is a difficult question. Interesting, you would be
- 14:30Speaker 1: needed to be on the Simpsons, like have a Simpsons
- 14:33Speaker 1: care version of yourself.
- 14:35Speaker 4: Yeah, that'd be a big deal, right, Yeah.
- 14:37Speaker 1: For sure.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Simpsons never did it for me.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that's okay, different every sock for every foot, right,
- 14:44Speaker 1: is that what you're saying?
- 14:45Speaker 3: And I watched The Father of the Bride for the
- 14:47Speaker 3: first time, really just catching up on my you know,
- 14:50Speaker 3: catching up on my stuff.
- 14:52Speaker 4: You were very emotional about it.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I had to take three motrin. I had hurt so
- 14:57Speaker 3: bad from crying.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm I saw it because so many people were
- 15:03Speaker 2: like shot. It was the same reaction for you when
- 15:06Speaker 2: you said you hadn't watch Pretty Woman. That's how I
- 15:08Speaker 2: felt people felt about Father of the Bride for me.
- 15:10Speaker 2: So I tried it one day. I just didn't.
- 15:13Speaker 4: No, Yeah, I don't know.
- 15:15Speaker 2: I just didn't like, I don't know, I wasn't something
- 15:19Speaker 2: that I felt moved.
- 15:20Speaker 3: By within I want to say, within maybe the first
- 15:23Speaker 3: two minutes of the movie, I was crying.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but maybe because I'm saying I feel like the
- 15:29Speaker 2: wedding day and the death, like you're just that's very
- 15:32Speaker 2: you like, it really triggers your emotion.
- 15:34Speaker 3: It was like less about because like for me in
- 15:37Speaker 3: the movie, I didn't realize how beloved this movie was.
- 15:40Speaker 3: But he's kind of like his daughter's getting married and
- 15:44Speaker 3: moving out of the house. It's like all happening at once,
- 15:46Speaker 3: where I feel like with my dad, it happened over
- 15:48Speaker 3: a span of like a decade, so it's like not
- 15:50Speaker 3: so like boom in his face, but like I was
- 15:52Speaker 3: thinking about all those things that he was probably feeling
- 15:54Speaker 3: when I like moved out of the house and like
- 15:56Speaker 3: you know what I mean, m hm gradually. So then
- 15:58Speaker 3: that made me sad because he never boke. Why is
- 16:00Speaker 3: that to me?
- 16:00Speaker 2: You know, yeah, you're assuming that he was probably feeling
- 16:04Speaker 2: what you're watching on.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Correct correct, which I know he did. Yeah, yeah, he's
- 16:08Speaker 3: so Steve Martin, You're done. Yeah, totally is Yeah.
- 16:13Speaker 2: I just never really connect, like I never felt as
- 16:19Speaker 2: impassioned by it.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. It was just NonStop, NonStop, to the
- 16:24Speaker 3: point where like one of the kids came over and
- 16:27Speaker 3: like hugged me. He's like, are you okay? I was like, yes,
- 16:30Speaker 3: I'm not sad. I'm just a lot of feeling emotion. Yeah.
- 16:34Speaker 4: Yeah, So did you watch too?
- 16:36Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 16:36Speaker 4: Are you gonna watch too.
- 16:37Speaker 3: I'm not emotionally equipped to take on one more of
- 16:40Speaker 3: those movies right now. Okay, it was a little too
- 16:43Speaker 3: emotional for me. So I'm gonna give it a space
- 16:45Speaker 3: and maybe in a couple of weeks I'll come back.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Thank you, Thank you for sharing. But you did go
- 16:50Speaker 4: see Wicked.
- 16:51Speaker 3: I did go see Wicked.
- 16:53Speaker 4: And you have a lot of thoughts about Wicked.
- 16:57Speaker 3: I have a lot of questions.
- 16:58Speaker 4: Oh, a lot of questions about Wicked.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Well, that is something that we will get to after
- 17:03Speaker 2: this break.
- 17:19Speaker 4: All right, we're back.
- 17:21Speaker 2: So the last time we were on this podcast, we
- 17:24Speaker 2: were talking about Wicked. Tanya was like, I just don't
- 17:26Speaker 2: know if I'm gonna like it. I haven't seen the play.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I don't know anything about it.
- 17:30Speaker 3: And it was just super hyped up.
- 17:32Speaker 4: It was super hyped up.
- 17:32Speaker 2: You were fearful that it wasn't going to live up
- 17:34Speaker 2: to the hype for you because you weren't familiar with
- 17:37Speaker 2: the story and the play.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Correct, But you did go see it.
- 17:41Speaker 3: I did.
- 17:41Speaker 2: And where should I start? Just from the beg wherever
- 17:49Speaker 2: you want to start? What did you think?
- 17:51Speaker 1: Yeah? How about a rating? What a scale of one
- 17:53Speaker 1: to ten?
- 17:54Speaker 3: Okay, So I would give it a ten. Wow, if
- 17:58Speaker 3: they shaved off like twenty minutes of the movie, Oh
- 18:00Speaker 3: my gosh, it was like just a hair too long.
- 18:04Speaker 4: Okay, Okay, just a hair Okay.
- 18:06Speaker 3: I was really in it. But then when they were
- 18:08Speaker 3: only getting to Emerald City and I was like, I
- 18:11Speaker 3: feel like I'm ready to stand up. Okay, So Mike,
- 18:16Speaker 3: I would give it a ten if not for the length.
- 18:19Speaker 3: So with the length, i'd give it in eight point
- 18:21Speaker 3: seventy five.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Okay, so pretty good?
- 18:24Speaker 3: Yes, still pretty high, still pretty high? Yes? Yes, okay.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Why did spoiler alert?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 18:32Speaker 3: Why did Glinda not go with Alphaba to defy gravity?
- 18:38Speaker 1: Why did she stay back captured? Right?
- 18:40Speaker 3: No, No, she didn't go with her.
- 18:42Speaker 2: She had she didn't feel like she she didn't feel
- 18:46Speaker 2: she was scared.
- 18:48Speaker 4: She was scared to do something new and brave and no.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Wait a minute, and the song it becomes then you know,
- 18:52Speaker 1: you and I defy and gravity. But then when they
- 18:55Speaker 1: walk out under the balcony, that's when they're swarmed by
- 18:58Speaker 1: guards and and she gets grabbed.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Have gone? She chose not to go? She chose, yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 4: she goes.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I hope you're happy, like I hope you're happy now no. Well,
- 19:07Speaker 2: but she goes, I hope you're happy choosing this. Yeah,
- 19:11Speaker 2: and then Alpha is like you too, Like, I hope
- 19:14Speaker 2: you're happy too not going with me?
- 19:15Speaker 4: She doesn't because she was scared.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Well, you're not the only one, apparently, just as quick Google,
- 19:19Speaker 1: a lot of people have asked the question why.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Didn't you to go with My first text out of
- 19:23Speaker 3: Wicked was Tobecca saying I would have gone with you.
- 19:26Speaker 3: I would not have let Becca fly off on that
- 19:29Speaker 3: god forsaken broom alone into the wherever she was going.
- 19:34Speaker 4: She was going to handle bizz.
- 19:35Speaker 3: I would not have let you go.
- 19:36Speaker 4: She is handling business.
- 19:39Speaker 3: So that was my first question. My second question is
- 19:42Speaker 3: why did they kill the Wicked Witch beginning to happen
- 19:46Speaker 3: in part two? Oh my gosh, A whole year to
- 19:49Speaker 3: find that out.
- 19:50Speaker 4: I mean, you could go see the play.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Oh, the play answers all these questions.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Well, yeah, you get to see the whole thing in
- 19:56Speaker 4: the play.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, okay, okay, all right, okay, all right. And
- 20:00Speaker 3: then I did get a spoiler alert of like all
- 20:02Speaker 3: these people and that they could become certain things. Yeah, yeah, yeah, So.
- 20:08Speaker 5: I was very surprised at how obsessed I became like,
- 20:14Speaker 5: I keep singing that loathing song on repeat and doing
- 20:18Speaker 5: that dance everywhere I go.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I have been listening to the soundtrack on repeat,
- 20:24Speaker 3: and it's I think this is the first thing that
- 20:25Speaker 3: I have found that annoys Robbie interesting, Like He's like,
- 20:29Speaker 3: are you just gonna listen to that song?
- 20:31Speaker 2: Like?
- 20:31Speaker 3: I listened to music songs on repeat all the time,
- 20:33Speaker 3: but for some reason, I think musicals just ain't it
- 20:36Speaker 3: for him. And he was like, are you just going
- 20:38Speaker 3: to listen to this Define Gravity in perpetuity now? And
- 20:42Speaker 3: I was like, oh, am I gonna watch football in
- 20:45Speaker 3: perpetuity now.
- 20:48Speaker 4: I only have something at my.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Disposal that annoys him, which feels good, feels like an accomplishment.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I start every day with Define Gravity, and then Haley
- 20:58Speaker 2: comes in while making breakfast, and then we have a
- 21:00Speaker 2: deep discussion about why it's so good and powerful.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Okay, So I keep looking in the mirror when I shower,
- 21:06Speaker 3: when I get out of the shower, and I keep going,
- 21:16Speaker 3: and I've been timing my showers with the song to
- 21:18Speaker 3: come out to.
- 21:19Speaker 2: That specific I see where he is stressed.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Yeah, it's about a seven minute song, right, So I
- 21:29Speaker 3: take a seven minute shower and that's when I get
- 21:31Speaker 3: out and I look in the mirror.
- 21:37Speaker 1: It's so good, nude and wet.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Nude and wet in all my glory into the mirror.
- 21:43Speaker 3: It's so powerful.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Something about how she you saw it right, It's something
- 21:49Speaker 2: about how she sings it though, like there's something in
- 21:53Speaker 2: her voice that has this emotion to it that like
- 21:57Speaker 2: captures it.
- 21:59Speaker 3: So now I'm like deep in the lore and like
- 22:01Speaker 3: I'm getting all the videos and stuff, and I think
- 22:03Speaker 3: I saw Cynthia Arrivo's audition where she's like holding an action.
- 22:09Speaker 4: My gods, which had.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Me rolling on the floor. And then I think I
- 22:17Speaker 3: saw Amanda Seifred's audition or she's saying something or whatever.
- 22:22Speaker 3: So then I was imagining her as Glinda. Like I
- 22:23Speaker 3: feel like I've been through such a journey the last
- 22:25Speaker 3: three days of Wicked because I'm new to it.
- 22:27Speaker 1: So I'm like, wow, dive too though, because I'm so
- 22:30Speaker 1: impressed with that song, I had to know more about
- 22:32Speaker 1: who wrote that song, and it's this guy, Stephen Schwartz,
- 22:34Speaker 1: who's in a whole bunch of Broadway musicals and stuff.
- 22:37Speaker 1: It's just brilliant, that song and the way it builds
- 22:41Speaker 1: the way it's like, you know, it starts with like
- 22:42Speaker 1: you know, I think I'll try like that, and then
- 22:44Speaker 1: it builds another level like as you, and then it
- 22:47Speaker 1: goes through so if you can't find me, and then
- 22:51Speaker 1: there's another level. Then then the scream at the end.
- 22:54Speaker 1: It's just like wow.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Yeah, there's like one part in it where it talks
- 22:58Speaker 3: about like teamwork and how the two what is it
- 23:01Speaker 3: two of us will be unstoppable.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Team and I was like, yes, I know, and then
- 23:08Speaker 2: and then they're trying to take her and she's like,
- 23:10Speaker 2: don't take her. It's me that you want to me,
- 23:13Speaker 2: and then it's like it's me and then she was
- 23:16Speaker 2: shot when she's in the sky and it zooms. Yeah,
- 23:20Speaker 2: chill if you ever care to fund Yeah, you.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Know, whether they're that there is our wy Oh my god,
- 23:31Speaker 1: it's so great. And so I had to look that
- 23:33Speaker 1: up because and by the way, they say, that's why
- 23:36Speaker 1: it's a two part movie, because nothing can go after defying.
- 23:41Speaker 4: It had to end there.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Because it's meant for a curtain drop and you got
- 23:45Speaker 1: twenty minutes to go mill about the lobby and recollect yourself.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Intermission.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't add you can't do anything any scene
- 23:53Speaker 1: after that, You're not even gonna be paying attention.
- 23:54Speaker 3: To My question is in the play, uh, is there's
- 23:58Speaker 3: like another sorry the musical whatever take for tat? Is
- 24:03Speaker 3: there another define gravity at the end of the play music.
- 24:06Speaker 4: Another define gravity? Or another song.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Another song that.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Yes?
- 24:11Speaker 3: Okay, yes, what's it called for good?
- 24:15Speaker 4: Because I knew you.
- 24:17Speaker 1: I have been changed for my daughter and her friend
- 24:20Speaker 1: Kieran sang that at graduation this year. Yeah, beautiful.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Should it be my first dance?
- 24:30Speaker 4: I mean, I think probably needs to tie.
- 24:33Speaker 1: It's stunning.
- 24:35Speaker 4: It really is just beautiful. Yeah, and I've seen it.
- 24:39Speaker 3: You know.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I saw some people in the podcast say like, oh,
- 24:42Speaker 2: I almost turned the episode off when they shou're talking
- 24:44Speaker 2: about Wake and I don't care about it, And I said,
- 24:45Speaker 2: you know what, that's okay because there are so many
- 24:48Speaker 2: people who either haven't seen the musical or don't know
- 24:51Speaker 2: anything about the musical and what until the movie and
- 24:53Speaker 2: absolutely loved it.
- 24:54Speaker 4: So don't don't knock it, so you try it.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I was. I was one of them. I was
- 25:00Speaker 3: a skeptic on the on Tuesday, and then Wednesday I
- 25:05Speaker 3: was changed for good.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it was It's it's it's magical.
- 25:12Speaker 4: I would go to see it again. Third time, I'd go,
- 25:14Speaker 4: fourth time, fifth time.
- 25:15Speaker 1: We're going to the Broadway show in a couple of weeks.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Thursday.
- 25:19Speaker 1: I can't wait.
- 25:20Speaker 3: I needed a hair more. If I'm being honest, And
- 25:23Speaker 3: that little wickedy wizard who knew he was evil? Well, dick, she.
- 25:29Speaker 4: Goes, she goes, and who knew this about the Wizard?
- 25:31Speaker 3: What a prick?
- 25:33Speaker 4: I was like, Yeah, that is a spoiler alert.
- 25:38Speaker 3: I was so shocked by that.
- 25:43Speaker 2: We ended up watching The Wizard of Oz after Wicked.
- 25:46Speaker 2: We came home and put it on kind of lackluster
- 25:50Speaker 2: after Wicked.
- 25:50Speaker 1: I believe that.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't care to watch The Wizard of Oz again.
- 25:54Speaker 4: I just wanted to see, like if I with.
- 25:57Speaker 3: That wizard being the wizard, little.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Dick, Well, the whole thing is, don't pay attention to
- 26:03Speaker 1: the man behind the curtain, like he wants to make
- 26:05Speaker 1: him seem like he's a big deal, but he's not.
- 26:06Speaker 1: He's just a guy. Yeah, he's just a guy, Just
- 26:10Speaker 1: a guy.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Ain't that the truth.
- 26:13Speaker 2: There's this article speaking of just a guy saying that
- 26:17Speaker 2: dating app users have relationships that are just as strong
- 26:22Speaker 2: as in to meet in person, which I thought was
- 26:24Speaker 2: such a funny thing because.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Of course it's like you, there's still this stigma with
- 26:30Speaker 3: dating apps, don't you feel No, really, no.
- 26:33Speaker 2: I think dating in general, I think there's a I
- 26:36Speaker 2: don't know if it's a stigma or just a reality
- 26:38Speaker 2: that it's way harder now to meet someone of like
- 26:42Speaker 2: someone that has long term goals and relationship plans as
- 26:48Speaker 2: opposed to just hook up plans, you know.
- 26:50Speaker 4: Yeah, But I don't know.
- 26:52Speaker 2: I think everyone's kind of just succumbed to the fact
- 26:55Speaker 2: that the dating app might be the best option.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Well that was a negative tone. Why succumbed?
- 27:04Speaker 4: No, because I think everyone.
- 27:06Speaker 2: I think everyone tried to fight it for so long
- 27:08Speaker 2: and be like I can't meet someone in dating app,
- 27:10Speaker 2: and I think it's just the way of the world.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Like I don't think it's it's the way.
- 27:15Speaker 3: You know, it's Yeah, I don't think it's.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Seen as like embarrassing to meet someone on a dating app.
- 27:20Speaker 2: I feel like there used to be some like shame.
- 27:22Speaker 2: I feel like it's there still. Yeah, I feel like
- 27:24Speaker 2: there was like a little bit of like.
- 27:26Speaker 3: I want to go on a dating app about gold.
- 27:29Speaker 1: You were like that people want a story I was on.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Every dating app.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Taudia, you were so anti dating apps. I had to
- 27:38Speaker 4: I was like, Tanya, this is are you serious?
- 27:42Speaker 3: Yeah? Mark, any backup here?
- 27:46Speaker 4: Hinge was your first You downloaded Hinge and then met Robbie.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Yes, but before I was on Hinge, I was on Tinder,
- 27:52Speaker 3: I was on You Were So and on Bumble. I
- 27:57Speaker 3: was on all of that.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Dating not want to meet your guy on dating apps.
- 28:03Speaker 4: This is a whole thing.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I think you wanted to meet cute.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I believe that. Yeah, I believe that.
- 28:09Speaker 4: I think you were signed up for them, but I
- 28:11Speaker 4: think you were very using them.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah, except when you send your happy Saturdays
- 28:18Speaker 2: out to your matches.
- 28:20Speaker 4: I just didn't take you very far.
- 28:22Speaker 2: But Matthew Perry, yeah did he ever respond though?
- 28:28Speaker 4: Just a happy Saturday? And that was it?
- 28:30Speaker 3: Yep?
- 28:32Speaker 2: Unmatched, Nope, just sad sagmentagment.
- 28:36Speaker 1: You matched? So you tried a happy Saturday?
- 28:39Speaker 3: Yeah? Nothing, nothing.
- 28:41Speaker 4: She tried that a few times and it was uh.
- 28:45Speaker 4: I don't know that she ever got her.
- 28:46Speaker 3: You know who loves a happy Saturday.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Robbie, who loves a happy Saturday?
- 28:51Speaker 3: Oh my god, he's a happy Saturday himself. Oh I know.
- 28:56Speaker 3: See just goes to show you a shoot for every foot.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Okay, we'll be right back. There's a fun email, but
- 29:01Speaker 2: first we're gonna take a break. All right, We are
- 29:18Speaker 2: back and we have a fun little email from an
- 29:22Speaker 2: anonymous Mark. You know.
- 29:25Speaker 1: It is a fun little email, isn't it? And gosh,
- 29:27Speaker 1: we appreciate you sending in those emails. How do they
- 29:29Speaker 1: send us emails?
- 29:30Speaker 4: By the way, Oh well, go.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Ahead tell you tell them where they send an email
- 29:34Speaker 3: to scrubbing in at iHeartMedia dot com, or they can
- 29:37Speaker 3: dm us on Instagram at scrubbing in Pod.
- 29:41Speaker 1: There you go here it is from anonymous, she says, Hi,
- 29:44Speaker 1: Beck At, Tanya, Mark and Easton. My sister and I
- 29:47Speaker 1: love listening to your podcast. Your dynamic is just too
- 29:49Speaker 1: good and we laugh out loud every episode. Your friendship
- 29:52Speaker 1: reminds me a lot of the one I have with
- 29:54Speaker 1: my sister. My sister and I have always wanted to
- 29:57Speaker 1: do a sister trip somewhere just us tube. We're having
- 29:59Speaker 1: a heart time coming up with where to go and
- 30:01Speaker 1: what to do. Becca and Tanya, if you were able
- 30:04Speaker 1: to plan a weekend together just the two of you,
- 30:07Speaker 1: what would you do? Where would you go love you all.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Probably somewhere warm, because Tanya does not like being cold.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I don't like and she lets me know that she
- 30:18Speaker 2: doesn't like being cold the whole time she's cold.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Although there's this AI generated video of like a glasshouse
- 30:24Speaker 3: with snow outside of it. Have you seen that.
- 30:26Speaker 4: I see all those AI generated videos.
- 30:29Speaker 3: It looks so cozy, and I'm like, I want to
- 30:31Speaker 3: be there. But then I'm like, I don't think I do.
- 30:34Speaker 2: No like being in a place like that is so
- 30:36Speaker 2: f I love being cozy somewhere. I just don't like
- 30:39Speaker 2: getting out in the cold and having to get dressed
- 30:41Speaker 2: and layer and then take it all off.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I have to leave at some point. But there is
- 30:44Speaker 1: nothing better than being in for me, Wisconsin and you're
- 30:47Speaker 1: inside and you're having hot chocolate and you're cuddled up
- 30:49Speaker 1: when you've got you know, the kids of their fun
- 30:52Speaker 1: socks on and snowing outside. It's just it's just perfect.
- 30:55Speaker 3: I know. I think that it's like this. It's the
- 30:58Speaker 3: it's the it's the the I'm trying to think of
- 31:04Speaker 3: a comparison. It's like the black and white cookie of vacations.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Because there's a part of me that enjoys like skiing.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Like I like the sport of skiing, but I don't
- 31:17Speaker 3: like being cold and having to put all the layers
- 31:19Speaker 3: of stuff, and like, did that make sense?
- 31:22Speaker 1: I mean there were parts in there that kind of
- 31:24Speaker 1: made sense. Wasn't cookie?
- 31:27Speaker 4: But I love a black and white cookie the whole thing.
- 31:30Speaker 3: I know, So it wasn't the best analogy.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Do you eat one side first and then the other
- 31:33Speaker 1: Saturday and you try to do as much?
- 31:35Speaker 4: That's interesting, that's interesting.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I typically split it, but last night I actually have.
- 31:44Speaker 4: Because because the cookie. So I there's.
- 31:49Speaker 2: This chicken season wrap that is like the chicken seas
- 31:52Speaker 2: wrap I've only had in my entire life.
- 31:55Speaker 3: California Chicken Cafe.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Oh my god, please no, it's called Giada's and they're
- 32:00Speaker 2: cookie of the month for November was a.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Black like that giadas fa TV chef.
- 32:08Speaker 2: I'm not sure, but it's double g did you do
- 32:12Speaker 2: it's not? Anyways, there's cookie that November was a black
- 32:16Speaker 2: and white cookie, and so I ordered one yesterday, and well,
- 32:24Speaker 2: I love a black and white cookie, so I was
- 32:26Speaker 2: really excited.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Yeah no, I well, I don't know you're comparing it
- 32:30Speaker 4: to I don't know why you were comparing.
- 32:31Speaker 2: It to so anyways, I ate it side. I ate
- 32:35Speaker 2: it like the dark chocolate and then the white chocolate.
- 32:39Speaker 2: And then yesterday I got another one, and I was
- 32:42Speaker 2: thinking or not yesterday the last day of November, so
- 32:46Speaker 2: Saturday before I have I still have it home, and
- 32:50Speaker 2: I was like, I'm gonna do combo on this one
- 32:53Speaker 2: because I like the dark so little too tart, bitter,
- 32:59Speaker 2: and then the white it's a little too sweet.
- 33:01Speaker 4: So I think you got to go down the middle.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Yeah, but there's only so much you can do.
- 33:06Speaker 4: No like one bite of each.
- 33:12Speaker 3: Virgin.
- 33:12Speaker 1: There's a lot of work. I think it just ate it.
- 33:16Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, then that could probably happen.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Oh my god, that's first.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Bite right in the middle. I think that's a smart aim.
- 33:24Speaker 4: Right, and then go from there. Anyways, where should they
- 33:28Speaker 4: go for their tap?
- 33:30Speaker 5: Oh?
- 33:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I forgot about that.
- 33:32Speaker 4: Well, I'm sorry.
- 33:32Speaker 2: We got very distracted by a.
- 33:36Speaker 4: Complicated comparison.
- 33:38Speaker 3: It's the Monday after Thanksgiving, Okay, I know, Okay, definitely,
- 33:44Speaker 3: Well it depends on where they live. Anonymous Okay, well,
- 33:48Speaker 3: if there were you two, where would you go?
- 33:49Speaker 1: That's what she's asking.
- 33:50Speaker 3: I feel like like Hawaii or Mexico.
- 33:53Speaker 4: I was gonna say Cabo. Yeah, but you like Hawaii.
- 33:56Speaker 4: I like Hawaii is my favorite. It's just a journey
- 33:59Speaker 4: to get there.
- 33:59Speaker 3: It is a journey.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Yeah, but I love I love Cabo. It's easy, it's
- 34:04Speaker 2: so beautiful, it's fun. You can just go to pick
- 34:07Speaker 2: a resort and just stay there the whole time.
- 34:09Speaker 3: You don't have to leave, no leaving.
- 34:12Speaker 1: And then what would you do? I think that's also key.
- 34:14Speaker 1: What would you do?
- 34:15Speaker 3: We'd lay by the pool, We'd swim in the ocean,
- 34:18Speaker 3: We'd eat good dinners, maybe get a massage, spicy margs,
- 34:25Speaker 3: walk on the beach.
- 34:28Speaker 2: I also feel like Vegas is a fun option. There's
- 34:31Speaker 2: a lot to do. You could go to a show
- 34:33Speaker 2: there is it is fun.
- 34:35Speaker 3: It is fun. But yeah, it's fun.
- 34:38Speaker 4: It's fun.
- 34:39Speaker 2: There's a lot of places you can go eat, there's shows,
- 34:42Speaker 2: there's a lot to do.
- 34:43Speaker 4: So if you're more of like the doers, and you're
- 34:45Speaker 4: not more of like.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Yeah, the doers, and get more done, try home Depot.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Try home Depot. This is so helpful for I.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Would say Austin's really cute. I think also New Nashville.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Oh, New York. Becca a great suggestion.
- 35:04Speaker 1: So cold.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I was gonna say, maybe.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Not right now, Mark, if they win New York Christmas
- 35:10Speaker 1: time is the greatest, don't get me wrong. If that
- 35:12Speaker 1: can go anywhere this month, I'd probably go to New York.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's so Christmasy and it's che fun, cute
- 35:19Speaker 3: dinners and like explore.
- 35:21Speaker 2: So I would say go to Cabo if you want
- 35:25Speaker 2: like beachy layout by the pool, spa, spicy marks, et cetera.
- 35:31Speaker 2: If you're wanting we want things to do, I would
- 35:33Speaker 2: do a fun sister trip to New York, go to
- 35:36Speaker 2: a Broadway show, go to a really good restaurant, stay
- 35:39Speaker 2: at a fun hotel and shop.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Or we could throw another one in there and say Miami.
- 35:46Speaker 3: I don't know, Miami, Oh my gosh, it's like the
- 35:48Speaker 3: best of all the world, because you could like go
- 35:50Speaker 3: on like a have a boat day, go to a
- 35:52Speaker 3: yummy restaurant, do a little chill. But then you can
- 35:56Speaker 3: also it's like Vegas. It's like Vegas meets Mexico in
- 36:00Speaker 3: New York, not New York. Okay, all right, so there's
- 36:05Speaker 3: your three options.
- 36:07Speaker 2: I hope that the black and white cookie didn't deter
- 36:10Speaker 2: you from continuing to listen to this podcast, and you
- 36:13Speaker 2: got to hear the rest of our suggestion.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Hey, I enjoyed hearing about your black and white cookie experience.
- 36:21Speaker 4: I'm talking about your comparison. My experience was riveting.
- 36:27Speaker 3: I still can't think of the right analogy for it.
- 36:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't.
- 36:31Speaker 2: I can't even help you because I don't even know
- 36:32Speaker 2: what you were trying to say.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Like, I like, I like the idea of being cozy
- 36:37Speaker 3: and warm in like a cabin with like a fire
- 36:40Speaker 3: and like a hot cocoa, and like you, but I
- 36:43Speaker 3: don't like putting on the all the the materials and
- 36:48Speaker 3: like having my face get raw from the cold, and
- 36:51Speaker 3: like skiing down the thing and getting like sweaty.
- 36:54Speaker 4: So you just want to be inside.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Yeah, but then I would feel remiss if I didn't
- 36:58Speaker 3: enjoy my fun activity down the mountain, you know what
- 37:01Speaker 3: I mean?
- 37:01Speaker 4: Yeah, chronic foma.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like going is I not getting on a ride?
- 37:08Speaker 1: You know? Did y'all go to Disney We spend all
- 37:10Speaker 1: day Saturday Disneyland. It was wonderful. It was great. Is
- 37:13Speaker 1: jam packed, jam packed. In fact, on our way in,
- 37:15Speaker 1: the security woman's muttered to another security woman, I have
- 37:19Speaker 1: never seen this many people at this park, and I'm
- 37:21Speaker 1: like I said to her, Oh, that seems like a
- 37:23Speaker 1: bad sign. She goes, yeah, oh great, thank you. Here
- 37:26Speaker 1: we go. But we had a blast, but an absolute blast.
- 37:29Speaker 1: We used our lightning. You know, every time you go,
- 37:31Speaker 1: it's a different situation for the fast pass. We did that.
- 37:34Speaker 1: We got that all taken care of, and we planned
- 37:37Speaker 1: it correctly and we had a wonderful time. And it's
- 37:40Speaker 1: very nostalgic for us. We go every year right around
- 37:43Speaker 1: now and so the kids go right back to being
- 37:45Speaker 1: five years old again, even though they're eighteen and fifteen,
- 37:47Speaker 1: and it's just really really sweet. It was a great day.
- 37:50Speaker 4: Do you eat any of the food there?
- 37:52Speaker 2: Uh?
- 37:52Speaker 1: What did we?
- 37:53Speaker 3: Oh?
- 37:54Speaker 1: You know what we did? We ate a blue Bayou
- 37:55Speaker 1: for the first time ever. We can never get in
- 37:57Speaker 1: that place. That's the restaurant place. Yeah yeah, every year
- 38:01Speaker 1: we go up high anything for four and there goes
- 38:03Speaker 1: oh of Coursellion, Yeah yeah, yeah there he goes, oh yeah,
- 38:09Speaker 1: can you wait fifteen minutes? Like yeah, like two minutes
- 38:12Speaker 1: later right this way, And it was fantastic.
- 38:15Speaker 3: I've always wanted to eat there. What do they serve
- 38:17Speaker 3: in those parts?
- 38:17Speaker 1: They only have like four or five options chowder? What
- 38:21Speaker 1: I had was a pesto pasta that was divine.
- 38:26Speaker 4: That's what I had when I went pasa.
- 38:29Speaker 1: My daughter had a fish I forget. It's like a
- 38:34Speaker 1: New Orleans Vibe cajun. Really good.
- 38:38Speaker 4: The light has turned off.
- 38:39Speaker 1: That's how long you've been doing.
- 38:42Speaker 3: She lost her that's pretty dark, not her internal light though, No,
- 38:46Speaker 3: she didn't. She did. Actually, you know, it's a really
- 38:50Speaker 3: fun selling mark. So I was like stressed the other day.
- 38:55Speaker 3: I feel like with wedding planning, there's so many details
- 38:58Speaker 3: that like you just keep thinking about the details, but
- 39:01Speaker 3: nothing ever gets done, you know what I mean. You're like, oh,
- 39:03Speaker 3: I have to do this and this and this and this,
- 39:04Speaker 3: but you just don't do it because there's so many
- 39:06Speaker 3: of them. So he's like creating some sort of legal
- 39:09Speaker 3: sheet that they do in like their cases. It's called
- 39:13Speaker 3: it's like a closing checklist or something like that, and
- 39:16Speaker 3: so we're creating one for our wedding tonight.
- 39:18Speaker 4: So they all get things done.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Yes, I was like, this feels iantic. You gotta do it, how.
- 39:25Speaker 4: You gotta do it? Weall Haley has a list. It's
- 39:28Speaker 4: like a joke in our house because there's a list
- 39:32Speaker 4: and it.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Just has things that need to get done, but she
- 39:34Speaker 2: just adds to listen, nothing lost up. And so one
- 39:38Speaker 2: of them for some reason, uh, because I have this
- 39:41Speaker 2: like disgusting pond that I've tried to get rid of,
- 39:44Speaker 2: and the guy came and he was supposed to drain it,
- 39:45Speaker 2: but he just fixed the pawd So now it's back
- 39:48Speaker 2: to being disgusting. But it attracts animals because there's water
- 39:52Speaker 2: in it, right, And so the phoebe went out the
- 39:55Speaker 2: other night and chased a baby possum.
- 39:59Speaker 4: I was like, I know, oh, there's a parent, mommy
- 40:01Speaker 4: or daddy.
- 40:02Speaker 3: Possum around somewhere mommy or daddy.
- 40:04Speaker 2: So I went out and one tried to sneak up
- 40:07Speaker 2: behind me and I freaked out. So Hailey was like,
- 40:10Speaker 2: you need to call someone because I also there's raccoons
- 40:12Speaker 2: that go around the pond too, and so uh she
- 40:19Speaker 2: wrote on the thing puss some person because she meant
- 40:23Speaker 2: to write possum person.
- 40:24Speaker 3: I was like, puss some person.
- 40:26Speaker 4: I was like, have you called the puss some person.
- 40:28Speaker 4: She's like no, it's just on the list of things
- 40:30Speaker 4: to do. And I'm like, they're not gonna do.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Themselves just because you write it down. So We've been
- 40:35Speaker 2: having a big conversation about that, and you.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Guys should maybe call the closing checklist.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe everyone write one of those up.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, you guys. I had a very embarrassing
- 40:46Speaker 2: thing happening. Not embarrassing, but just I thought about it afterwards. Okay,
- 40:50Speaker 2: So yesterday Haley and I walked to the Farmer's market
- 40:53Speaker 2: and uh, we're in a store and then she recognizes
- 40:57Speaker 2: this girl that she like wrote music with. So they're
- 40:59Speaker 2: talking and she hangedr just is me to her husband
- 41:01Speaker 2: and he's like this, like gorgeous guy. I'm like, wow,
- 41:03Speaker 2: he's so cute. Haley's talking to the girl and the wife.
- 41:07Speaker 2: They're married, and I'm.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Talking to this guy. I'm like, oh, what do you do?
- 41:10Speaker 4: And he's like, oh, I'm.
- 41:11Speaker 3: An actor and I was famous.
- 41:14Speaker 2: So we're talking and I was like, oh that's cool.
- 41:15Speaker 2: I was like, uh, do you do more like TV
- 41:18Speaker 2: shows or movies? And he's like, oh, I like both,
- 41:22Speaker 2: you know, I they both have their things. I'm just
- 41:24Speaker 2: trying to think of things to talk about because Haley's
- 41:26Speaker 2: in a conversation and so I'm like, oh, yeah, well,
- 41:31Speaker 2: you know, if you get into a TV show like
- 41:33Speaker 2: you don't want to be locked in of like just
- 41:34Speaker 2: being that character forever. And he's like, right, right, So
- 41:36Speaker 2: then we leave. He was so nice and we leave
- 41:39Speaker 2: and uh.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Don't tell me who it is? Do we know who
- 41:42Speaker 3: this person is?
- 41:43Speaker 4: I think you'll know who he is? Okay?
- 41:45Speaker 1: Should we get I don't know that I could. Really
- 41:47Speaker 1: you think we'd be able to name that quickly.
- 41:49Speaker 3: I don't think, Oh, you don't think we would know
- 41:51Speaker 3: who he is?
- 41:51Speaker 4: You will know who he is about.
- 41:52Speaker 3: I think you'll guess who he will give us a hit.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Then he's on a c W show.
- 41:59Speaker 3: No, like old school c W were kind of like
- 42:02Speaker 3: new school c W, like two thousand Ian Summer Holder,
- 42:06Speaker 3: twelve Ian Summer Holder. No, Paul Wesley, No, No, I know.
- 42:12Speaker 1: If it's somebody you wouldn't know if you read no.
- 42:14Speaker 4: But Hailey was shocked that I didn't know.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Oh, for say.
- 42:19Speaker 4: Year again, I think twenty twelve ish, hmm, and I
- 42:24Speaker 4: think it's c W. I'm pretty sure W.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 42:29Speaker 4: So Haley goes, do you know who that is? And
- 42:31Speaker 4: I was like no, And I was like, what do
- 42:33Speaker 4: you mean?
- 42:33Speaker 2: No?
- 42:34Speaker 4: Please, I'll say it. She was He was the lead
- 42:36Speaker 4: and teen Wolf Tyler Posey.
- 42:40Speaker 1: We've had him on the show.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Oh yeah, And I was like, he's married, Yes he is.
- 42:47Speaker 3: I would recognize this guy, but.
- 42:49Speaker 2: You guys, he's also the kid in uh Made in Manhattan.
- 42:53Speaker 3: Okay, and he's Stilo Son. It was not it was
- 42:55Speaker 3: MTV the show gives c W give W.
- 43:02Speaker 1: I watched the show.
- 43:03Speaker 3: I know this guy, okay, So I would have asked
- 43:06Speaker 3: for a photo. Oh my god.
- 43:10Speaker 2: He was so nice and he was really cute. But
- 43:15Speaker 2: I was then mortified because I would be that demographic
- 43:19Speaker 2: who would.
- 43:19Speaker 4: For sure know him.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Right.
- 43:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Then I was like, oh my gosh, I hope he
- 43:23Speaker 2: didn't think. I hate when people do. They'll like, how
- 43:26Speaker 2: do I know you? You look familiar, like to Haley,
- 43:28Speaker 2: you know, instead of just being like I loved you
- 43:31Speaker 2: in Lemonone meut whatever they recognize her from. Just know
- 43:34Speaker 2: to people. It's just go up to people and say
- 43:36Speaker 2: I loved you in blah blah blah. You don't need
- 43:38Speaker 2: to do a whole like what do I know you from?
- 43:42Speaker 2: And I fear that that's why he thought I was
- 43:44Speaker 2: doing that. I was just acting and I'm like, yeah,
- 43:46Speaker 2: what do.
- 43:46Speaker 3: You like movies or TV? He's like I was teen wolf.
- 43:50Speaker 4: He's like he was the main wolf.
- 43:52Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 43:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I was like replaying the whole conversation. Anyways, so cute.
- 43:59Speaker 1: That was actually good advice for people when you see
- 44:01Speaker 1: somebody famous, that's the best thing, right. I saw you
- 44:05Speaker 1: in this thing. You're fantastic.
- 44:07Speaker 4: I love that show.
- 44:08Speaker 1: I enjoy your work. This was a great thing you did.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Did I ever tell you the Priyanka choke for story?
- 44:14Speaker 1: No?
- 44:15Speaker 4: What did you do? You look familiar?
- 44:16Speaker 3: Oh no, not me. She was on the morning show
- 44:21Speaker 3: that very day on air Ryan Seacrest, and they were
- 44:25Speaker 3: telling her something. I think it was before I know,
- 44:27Speaker 3: it's before we were even engaged, Robbie and I and
- 44:29Speaker 3: they were like, oh, Tanya is going to be engaged soon.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Can she have her engagement and at your restaurant whatever whatever, whatever.
- 44:35Speaker 3: So I end up seeing her that night at this
- 44:36Speaker 3: bar because there was a Jonas Brother's concert and they
- 44:38Speaker 3: invite us to the after party. So go to Jonas
- 44:40Speaker 3: Brother's concert, and then we go to the after party
- 44:43Speaker 3: and I see Prianka and she's like, oh my gosh,
- 44:45Speaker 3: is your boyfriend here? I want to meet him. So
- 44:48Speaker 3: and I'm with Sophia and poo. So the and Sophia
- 44:52Speaker 3: and her know each other from charity work that they've
- 44:55Speaker 3: done in the past, so they're chit chatting. So then
- 44:56Speaker 3: I go and I grab Robbie and I bring Robbie over.
- 45:00Speaker 3: I'm like, this is my boyfriend, Robbie and he goes, oh,
- 45:03Speaker 3: it's nice to meet you. Like, what's your name? Had
- 45:05Speaker 3: no idea she was Rianka, and I was like, oh
- 45:09Speaker 3: my gosh. I was like, babe, she's like this, like
- 45:12Speaker 3: she's so famous, like she could not be more famous.
- 45:15Speaker 3: And Sophia was dying laughing because she's like, it'sen. You
- 45:18Speaker 3: didn't mean like, yeah, that's genuine.
- 45:20Speaker 4: He was like, you genuine, like he really did not
- 45:23Speaker 4: know who she was.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Yeah, and he's like and Sofia was like, I feel
- 45:26Speaker 3: like she it was like not refreshing in a way,
- 45:29Speaker 3: but like it wasn't like he wasn't. I was like,
- 45:31Speaker 3: oh my god, I'm so embarrassed.
- 45:33Speaker 2: That's how Hayley talked to me down because I just
- 45:35Speaker 2: was like, god, I'm so I'm so aware of those,
- 45:39Speaker 2: like I know, celebrities. That was just not a show
- 45:41Speaker 2: that I watched. So but I was like, this guy's
- 45:43Speaker 2: so cute. And then when she said he was made
- 45:44Speaker 2: of Manhattan, the little boy, I like saw his face.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Oh no, I forgot about that.
- 45:49Speaker 4: I was like, oh my gosh.
- 45:50Speaker 2: But yeah, she was like you genuinely, I'm sure it
- 45:54Speaker 2: came across that you didn't know. She was like, I'm
- 45:56Speaker 2: sure he knows when people are playing the Like, what
- 45:59Speaker 2: do I know?
- 46:00Speaker 4: Right?
- 46:01Speaker 1: I mean's Tyler Posey's not George Clooney, Like, I'm sure
- 46:03Speaker 1: there's plenty of people the encounter isn't familiar with his work.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Right right right within lickety split.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Before we go, How do you guys feel about the
- 46:12Speaker 1: end of the Era's tour happening this weekend? It's the
- 46:14Speaker 1: end of an Era's tour.
- 46:16Speaker 4: It is the end of the Era's tour.
- 46:19Speaker 3: I think it's I think.
- 46:22Speaker 4: I think she's probably got something else.
- 46:25Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 46:26Speaker 1: I imagine that's exciting.
- 46:28Speaker 2: But I'm just like, what does she do, like musically
- 46:32Speaker 2: beyond this, how do you get bigger than what she
- 46:35Speaker 2: just did?
- 46:37Speaker 4: She just needs to go rest.
- 46:38Speaker 3: No, do you know what she should do? She should
- 46:42Speaker 3: make her own theme.
- 46:43Speaker 4: Park like Dollywood.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Yes, I never can predict.
- 46:48Speaker 3: For like Disneyland, Taylor Land, and every ride is a
