- 1:32this is not a political podcast, but you don't have to be partisan
- 1:36in any way. I mean, we're all here in America, most of
- 1:38us are here. Wat that? Right? Was that hilarious? I was
- 1:42texting with my brother and he's like, I forget where I was. I
- 1:46was out somewhere. Yeah, And he's like, are you watching this horseshit
- 1:49right now? Just like I'm absolutely not watching. Is it all right?
- 1:52Is it good? He's like, it's not good, it's bad. It's
- 1:55a dark way first watching. If you've ever seen him, we are living
- 1:59in class. It's appropriate. I think that we're in a dumpster, yes,
- 2:02observing it. All the memes were fired though. After the debate,
- 2:07I mean it was I was just like, wow, this is better than
- 2:12reality television. It's real. It's reality with it's crazy. Wow. Wow,
- 2:21this is an interesting year of twenty twenty four. We're in it together,
- 2:23Rackley. All right, let's talk unexpected. We just watched this together,
- 2:29you and I because I have the day off to day. That's great
- 2:32when this happened, enjoying it, hanging out. We'll kick us off,
- 2:37all right. Well, let's start with Anaya and Day Day Honey girl,
- 2:40honey, Anaya's mom. What's her name? Ashley? Ashley, She's the
- 2:46word. I was triggered. She was the word. I don't understand.
- 2:51I mean, how can you look at your kid who's saying I feel unwell?
- 2:54I really look it. She looks terrible, and you say, you're
- 2:58being dramatic. I mean, where's the maternal instinct? She hain't got none.
- 3:04She doesn't care. She sits in every single scene with her stink ass
- 3:09face, just upset at the world for whatever reason, but taking it out
- 3:15on her daughter, who's clearly ill, who has a history of high blood
- 3:20pressure pre eclampsia, who does not look good, and you're just like,
- 3:24I can't be arsed to drive her to the hospital because it's far away.
- 3:28This is my only day off. I work hard. I work over forty
- 3:31hours a week. I'm like Jesus Christ literally watching seriously, like, I
- 3:36get it, you're tired, you're working a lot, but you have a
- 3:38daughter who's pregnant, she's about to burst, she's about to have this baby,
- 3:45heavy with child, and you're not gonna like take any kind of concern.
- 3:49They call her aunt, Anaya's aunt, who's twenty four, and it's
- 3:53like, yeah, you should go to the hospital, duh, and as
- 3:55she's like, I'm gonna sit here and wait, I'm gonna wait for something,
- 4:00and it's dramatic. Oh my god. Absolutely, And so day Day
- 4:04is the one who ends up taking Anaya to the hospital and he's got to
- 4:11at some point carry her into the hospital because she's crying, she's in terrible
- 4:15pain. They finally get into the hospital, they wheel her into a room
- 4:18and she's going to need to be induced. So now we're gonna have to
- 4:23call Ashley, her mother, and Ashle's like, yeah, what's going on,
- 4:27what's happening? And the doctor or the nurse says, yeah, well
- 4:29we have to induce her. And she's like okay, well I guess I
- 4:31better haul my ass down to the hospital, which is what you should have
- 4:34done in the first place. Can somebody please tell me out there that this
- 4:40woman is getting dragged on social media because I'm not up on social media like
- 4:43that, but is she getting dragged because she needs to be dragged for being
- 4:46a piss poor mother? I mean, she is absolutely horrible. It's like
- 4:51wild to me. And even when she's talking to the nurse. She's got
- 4:55an attitude and she's like, well, can you just wait? Do you
- 4:58have to induce her? Why can't you just wait? And then nurses like,
- 5:00there's literally no benefit. Your daughter's freaking blood pressures one sixty over seventy
- 5:04four. We need to just do this now. And Anaya on the couch
- 5:09as she's recounting this, is like, yeah, if it's precampsia, there's
- 5:13like a risk of death, and her mom calls her dramatic again on the
- 5:16couch. It's wild. Also, Anaya tested positive for COVID too, so
- 5:20she's got COVID. We saw that in the preview. So her mom's calling
- 5:24her dramatic while she's got COVID and she's got preglamsy yet. So I'm wondering
- 5:28when this was actually filmed because I know that, like the copyright date was
- 5:32twenty twenty three for the show, although we're in twenty twenty four obviously,
- 5:36but I'm wondering if this was filmed in twenty twenty one or twenty twenty two,
- 5:41because she's wearing her COVID mask. COVID's a big deal, and we
- 5:45find out because we were watching the preview for the rest of the season,
- 5:47because we are on TLC Instagram at Aline and we were we found out that
- 5:53Ashley always forget her. Ashley kicks Data out of the birthing room. Yes,
- 5:58so he gets to miss his yeah son's birth because Ashley's mom doesn't like
- 6:02her like him, or if it's COVID time, maybe only one person can
- 6:08be there in the it's just the room. I don't know. We're gonna
- 6:11have to see why he gets removed. But I'm just like this woman,
- 6:15everything about her is terrible. I feel awful for Anaya. I feel bad
- 6:18for day Day. And also in the preview for the rest of the season,
- 6:21we see that day Day's going to I guess enlist in the Air Force
- 6:27and he's going to leave and he's going to bounce. I mean it sounds
- 6:30like, well, that's how Anyah's framing it, because her mom is probably
- 6:34saying that to her, like, oh, day Day's going to be a
- 6:36shit father because all men are terrible. All men are going to walk out
- 6:41on you, like she's probably telling her that. Meanwhile, Dada on the
- 6:45couch is like, I don't want to be a dead beat because my dad
- 6:46was a dead beat, and I would feel immense regret if I did that,
- 6:49And I want to believe him. Yes, I hope that he does
- 6:53that. He's he's a chad beat. I mean exactly, He's doing the
- 6:56very best that he can. And it's like in so many of these different
- 7:00scenarios with these different teen mothers, their parents and especially their mothers are looking
- 7:06through the filter of their own trauma and trying to get their daughters to make
- 7:12these decisions based on the shit that they didn't do in their own lives.
- 7:15And you can see it with Ashley, you can see it with Kaylee's mom,
- 7:18Mandy. You can see it with Lily's mom. Oh my god,
- 7:23she's probably the worst. She's terrible, trying to force their opinions on these
- 7:26kids that they already fucked up because they weren't good parents in the first place,
- 7:30Right, Ashley, I mean, let them make their own mistakes,
- 7:32even if you think it's a mistake, Let them fucking do it. When
- 7:35I got married to your daughter, my biological father, who was a deadbeat
- 7:39and is a dead beat, tried to message me and be like, oh,
- 7:42you're making the biggest mistake. You're so young, blah, blah blah,
- 7:44And I'm like, first of all, I'm a whole ass adult,
- 7:46Let me make my own choice. Second of all, who are you exactly?
- 7:49Yeah? Who and where are you? You were even a part of
- 7:53my life? So shut the fuck up. But I hate that kind of
- 7:57stuff. It's like, just let your kid make the mistake, learn from
- 8:00it. That's what they're supposed to do. You don't need to be telling
- 8:03them what to do and how to live their lives just because you fucked your
- 8:07own life up? Right? What makes you an authority after you fucking trashed
- 8:11your own timeline to come in on this kid's timeline and tell them how to
- 8:13live their life according to you, so trashed your own timeline exactly. Anyway,
- 8:18all these mothers can get it from me today. Oh they're all terrible,
- 8:20Starting with Ashley. She's the worst. She's so mean. She's willing
- 8:26to sit on her ass and watch her daughter be in pain and suffering instead
- 8:31of taking her to the hospital where she needs to be because she could die
- 8:33and this baby could die as well. Yes, it's wild to me.
- 8:37I just couldn't believe that. And then she's going to show up acting all
- 8:41worried in the delivery room, and she's going to act like she's she actually
- 8:45cares, but she can start taking control as well and telling everybody what to
- 8:48do. Oh, I do not like her. I do not like her.
- 8:50I do not prefer her me neither. Then we have Kayleie and Graham
- 8:56right and they're setting up for her baby showering Jicky Becky, Graham's mother,
- 9:01meth mom Becky. So if you recall last week, they were talking about
- 9:07the baby shower for Kaylee and they were wondering whether Graham the dad and his
- 9:13mother, Becky were going to show up to the baby shower much less to
- 9:16help set it up and to break it down. But of course the night
- 9:20that they were supposed to join them, the night before the baby shower,
- 9:24Graham and Becky don't show up because Becky's sick and apparently Graham's always sick and
- 9:31Becky's always sick, and Graham's like, well, we couldn't come to help
- 9:35you set up the baby shower because my mom was in the hospital. And
- 9:39then on the couch when Becky's talking about her sickness, it's actually bipolar,
- 9:45and she's like, you know, I get really anxious. I spend a
- 9:46lot of time in my bed. So it doesn't even sound like she went
- 9:50to the hospital. No, she was coming down off of something off of
- 9:54me. I really think so, I mean really, because she's got the
- 9:56look. Yeah, I mean I have family who has bipolar, like actual
- 10:03bipolar. I see what it does to people. I'm not saying she doesn't
- 10:05have it or whatever, but like I have family that have bipolar. They
- 10:11have kids, and they show up and they still do things, and they
- 10:13try their best even when they're having their really low moments or they're really manic
- 10:18moments. But I'm like, Becky, you on drugs, bitch, something's
- 10:20going on. You ain't doing shit. And she expects to be in the
- 10:26delivery room. Girl, this was news to me. We heard it in
- 10:30this episode. Mandy's talking about how Becky's never there. Becky's never facilitating the
- 10:35kids getting together or having Graham show up at the appointments. Becky's not doing
- 10:39dick, not doing shit, but she wants to be there when the baby
- 10:41comes into the world. And I'm like, are you fucking kidding me?
- 10:45A birth is not a spectator sport. No, just because you're related to
- 10:48the woman having the baby doesn't mean you get to be in the delivery room
- 10:52for all they ask is out No, that's my coochie yeah to be seeing
- 10:58this is my quarter cat to me. And if I don't even want the
- 11:01father in there, he's not going to be in there. This is a
- 11:03medical procedure happening to my body exactly. And you and your bum ass forty
- 11:07two year old grandma bullshit can get the fuck on. I know she triggers
- 11:11me too. All these mothers they're terrible, are triggering to me. They're
- 11:16really freaking terrible. And then she's talking about how she wants the baby to
- 11:18know her and she wants to be the grandma and I'm like, and she
- 11:20wants the baby to be able to come over to her house without Kaylee there,
- 11:24I know, which is wild. I would never try ever a kid
- 11:26to be with you, meth mom. No. And poor Graham, Like
- 11:30I mean, with Graham, I can understand him being sick, like in
- 11:33terms of his stress and like being upset. He's fifteen, he's a child
- 11:37and he can't drive himself, so like, I get it, But like
- 11:39Becky, you're the adult, be mature, drive your son over to see
- 11:45his baby. Mama, Like, it's not that hard. She's in bed
- 11:48the entire time. Hi. But then we were listening to Mandy, who's
- 11:52Kaylee's mother, talk about all that she has done to facilitate the relationship between
- 11:56Graham and Kaylee. And she talks about how she would drive over to Graham
- 12:00to get Graham, bring Graham back to her house, but she was also
- 12:03the one I imagine taking Kaylee over to Graham's house really yeah, which is
- 12:07where Kaylee ultimately got pregnant. Yep. Because we heard Becky say last week
- 12:11that you know, she wasn't there because she's working, and she'd come home
- 12:15and she'd find Kaylee there and they were obviously bugged. They were getting it
- 12:20on. And that's because Mandy delivered her yep, like a gift to Graham's
- 12:24house. Pretty much. Yeah, all of these people suck so deeply and
- 12:28terribly. They're really terrible. And like, Mandy, I get that you're
- 12:31frustrated that you have to do all this stuff, but I'm like, your
- 12:35fifteen year old daughter's pregnant, and like, how about we talk about your
- 12:39irresponsibility as a parent as well. Right, And there's the scene with Kaylee
- 12:43and Mandy again. Mandy her mother, and Kaylee's driving them to the Lions
- 12:48Club so that they can set up, and she's just bitching at her mom.
- 12:52And at some point she's say, is there anything else you want to
- 12:56say to me? I know, I'm just like, I wish my daughter
- 12:58would have tried. I wish my daughter would have tried talking to me the
- 13:03way that Kaylee feels so free to talk to her, I know mother,
- 13:07and Mandy just takes it. She doesn't say, stop the goddamn card,
- 13:09give me these keys. This is no longer your car. If you don't
- 13:13like it, you can walk. I was, ma, I'm like,
- 13:16this girl is just reading Mandy, and Mandy's letting her. So, Mandy,
- 13:22you get what you settle for if you're going to allow your kids to
- 13:24do this. Well, now you got a kid with a kid, I
- 13:26got a sixty year old husband. You're terribly unhappy, and you got Becky
- 13:31walking all over you. Right, this is the life that you're creating for
- 13:33yourself. Everything is just you pushed out Mandy reader to filth. Well,
- 13:39and that's the thing. Mandy was like, I feel like it's unfair the
- 13:41way Kaylee treats me. Because I take all of the brunt when she should
- 13:45direct it towards Graham and his mom, Becky, And I'm like, okay,
- 13:50then give her a consequence, a repercussion. I mean, teach her
- 13:54how to be a person in the world. All she does is spoil the
- 13:56I'm doing. You think Kaylee's going to be in ten years? What kind
- 14:01of parent do you think Kaylee's gonna be if you continue to spoil her like
- 14:03this? She's not going to be a good one. I can tell you
- 14:05that, no at all. And then they actually get everything set up for
- 14:09the baby shower and people start arriving, and of course Graham and Becky show
- 14:15up late. They show up after everything's been set up right, they don't
- 14:18have to do any of the work, and Becky tries to be all super
- 14:22friendly with Kaylee like their best friends, and Kaylee's like, this is weird
- 14:26because she's never like this. So it's all for show because the Grammers are
- 14:30there and Mandy's there, so she has to pretend like she cares. And
- 14:33they show up for like ten minutes and then leave. Yep, don't help
- 14:37them to clean up, don't help them to break down in and out.
- 14:43I would be so pissed. Yeah, but you really can't blame Graham because
- 14:46once again, he's a child and he's under the influence of his parental figure,
- 14:52Becky, and this is how Becky is teaching him to show up in
- 14:56a co parenting relationship. So he thinks this is okay because this this is
- 15:00how Becky shows up in her parenting relationship. She spends all of her time
- 15:03in her room sleeping or anxious or yelling. Because I'm telling you right now,
- 15:07she looks mean to me. She's probably screaming and yelling. And when
- 15:11you look at Graham's affect, the way he carries himself, that's an anxious
- 15:16kid. That's a kid that's been traumatized. I wonder where that comes from.
- 15:18Well, Becky, methm that's where it comes from. And so Mandy
- 15:24and Kaylee don't feel like Graham and Becky are going to be involved really at
- 15:28all. Wants the baby's born, they're not going to but she wants to
- 15:31be in the delivery room, of course, just to say that she was
- 15:33there. But then she'll never be involved, and then she'll take pictures and
- 15:37she'll show it to her friends. Look at my grandbaby that doesn't even know
- 15:41my name, right because she's high on myth all the time. Right.
- 15:43And then, last, but not least, we have Lily and Lawrence,
- 15:48who are kind of a boring couple, but it's Christmas Day for them and
- 15:54they got all these toys for their kids and their kids. I'm super happy.
- 15:58And we were talking about that, and I was just telling you,
- 16:00like, that is the most precious and beautiful experience when your little ones when
- 16:07they're like three, four, five, sixty seven, when they're little and
- 16:11they wake up at like four in the morning and they can't wait to get
- 16:14to the presence under the tree and they come into your bedroom and they wake
- 16:17you up, and you were up, you know, until two in the
- 16:18morning, wrap it those presents and having whiskey and stuff. Yeah, so
- 16:22you're tired, you're hungover, but it is such a beautiful experience to like
- 16:26take those little ones to the tree and open the presents. But Lawrence wasn't
- 16:30feeling it. No, Lawrence is like, can I go back to bed?
- 16:33I'm like, this is this is the These are the best moments of
- 16:37your life. Oh and these are the best years ever because the kids have
- 16:41the most magic and the most fun. You believe in Santa. Yes,
- 16:45they had the little footprints for Santa. I love that so much. And
- 16:48once they get older, they're not gonna give a shit. No, they're
- 16:51gonna be like, give me money, Yeah, don't wake me up,
- 16:53give me a new Xbox or a PlayStation. You're gonna be paying so much
- 16:56money for that Christmas. But like when they're little, everything's cheaper. They're
- 17:00happy with everything, and they're talking, they're so they're just so lovely.
- 17:07But that's the thing about life, Like when you're that young and you're so
- 17:10harried and the kids are screaming and running around, you don't really have the
- 17:14wherewithal to understand that these are the most beautiful moments in your life. Yeah,
- 17:18not until you're my age, some old lady looking back thinking to yourself.
- 17:22I would give anything to go literally anything to go back to when my
- 17:26daughter was three years old and it was Christmas morning. I'm like, oh
- 17:30my god, if I could just experience that with new eyes, I would
- 17:33cherish every moment. Yes, yeah, And like Lily for the most part,
- 17:38is trying her best. Like she's talking about how she grew up super
- 17:42poor like us, and how she didn't get anything for Christmas, and so
- 17:47she went all out. I mean, she had so many fucking gifts there
- 17:49for her kids and everything. And it was weird though that she spent all
- 17:53this money and like didn't talk to Laurence about it. Yeah, And we
- 17:56recall last week he was kind of complaining about it because he was just learning
- 18:02that she had spent I guess over budget for the Christmas presents, and she
- 18:04was just like, well, it's Christmas. Yeah, it's one time a
- 18:07year. It's a crazy, special, magical time of the year. And
- 18:11Lawrence doesn't really have any say yeah in that, And I was like,
- 18:15what's going on with that? Why do you feel like you can just go
- 18:18out and buy whatever you want and not talk to your husband about it?
- 18:21Yeah? I don't really like that. Like I understand you want to go
- 18:23crazy and you want to give your kids a good experience, so that's fine,
- 18:26but like maybe agree upon a budget and go from there, especially when
- 18:32you have a wedding date set in three months and you want to spend twenty
- 18:36thousand dollars. Girl, right now she wants to spend thirty thousand, and
- 18:40Lawrence is putting his foot down and saying it's going to be twenty thousand,
- 18:42but like, how's anybody going to raise in this economy? Yeah, twenty
- 18:47thousand dollars thirty thousand dollars of extra money in three months, I don't understand
- 18:52it. But you could also tell with Laurence that he didn't know about any
- 18:56of the presents that she bought. He didn't participate in any of the purchasing
- 19:00of the presence, and he was kind of just checked out. But we
- 19:03have to give him props. He is a young man. He is taking
- 19:07care of Lily's first daughter, Aliyah, he's taking care of his son.
- 19:12He's working hard, and he's showing up on Christmas, and so that's wonderful.
- 19:18Yeah, And he kind of reminds me a little bit of how my
- 19:19dad was when I was a kid, because my dad was working swingshift all
- 19:22the time, and he was always kind of like reserved, kind of quiet.
- 19:26And I look back on it now and I'm like, he was tired,
- 19:29Yeah, and he's working a lot, and he was like trying to
- 19:33make ends meet for us and we still had, you know, good Christmases
- 19:36as kids. So it's like I kind of look at Lawrence in that light
- 19:40Lily's kind of being critical of him, like he's not helping out with like
- 19:42picking up after all the kids is mess after opening all the presents and stuff
- 19:47like that. I'm like, well, maybe he's just tired and stressed and
- 19:51it's a lot of money, lest maybe let's give him a little bit of
- 19:53grace. And then later that day, Lily's parents show up, and Lawrence's
- 19:59mom shows up because they're going to have Christmas dinner there, and Lily's meth
- 20:03dad shows up with his no teeth, missing some teeth, but like he's
- 20:07been sober sounds like for a little while. Ye maybe I was hoping that
- 20:12we had some sobriety spanning some years. But apparently Lily had taken both of
- 20:18her kids over to see him last winter. Lj's only like two something like
- 20:22that last winter, and he was pissed, drunk, drunk, didn't know
- 20:26who he was. He was completely out of it, and apparently he went
- 20:30to rehab since then, so now he's showing it for Christmas. But like,
- 20:34well, Lily's not like super hopeful about it, because I guess that's
- 20:37what he does. Like he'll get clean for a little while and then he'll
- 20:41go back to it and judge it by those teeth. I'm sure he's going
- 20:44to go back to my God, So judge, where do you get that
- 20:47from? I don't even know. Listen, i grew up in Methtown,
- 20:49Oregon. I'm allowed to judge. You can clock it. I can well.
- 20:53The biggest thing that's happening though, in this scene is that Lily is
- 20:56preparing to tell everybody, including Laurence's mother, ooh, my love, she's
- 21:02great thought, she was fantastic that they're getting married in three months time.
- 21:07And she knows that her mother has some ancient trauma and is looking through the
- 21:10filter of her own bullshit. Her mom, who is still not divorced from
- 21:15her metht Out dad even though she left him like fifteen years ago, and
- 21:18has been with this other guy for the entire time, who's treating her well
- 21:21and continuously proposes to her, but she keeps saying no because it's too expensive
- 21:26to get divorced. And I've been divorced seventeen thousand times, and I can
- 21:30tell you right now, if it's amicable, it's not expensive, not at
- 21:33all, hardly anything. You can get a mediator. You don't even need
- 21:36a lawyer. But I digress. So Lily's nervous, and she's also tired
- 21:40of her mom's bullshit because anytime Lily tells her the mom what she wants to
- 21:45do, the mom comes here, she comes on or bullshit talking about what
- 21:48Lily needs to be doing and how marriage is bad and it's really expensive when
- 21:53it doesn't work, and shut up Lily's mom. I mean, just let
- 21:56them get married again, Like I said, let the kids make their own
- 22:00fucking mistakes. It's not your life, Like, let them do it.
- 22:03Plus was it Lawrence's mom? She's like, it makes sense to me.
- 22:07I'm super excited. We'll throw a dope party. It's gonna be great.
- 22:11Like, you guys should get married because you guys have been living together since
- 22:15you were nineteen, Like might as well, it's just a piece of paper.
- 22:18Yeah, And Lawrence has been here the entire time taking care of Lily
- 22:22and all of these children, and so they should be married and get the
- 22:23benefit of that because there are benefits, tax benefits and health benefits and otherwise,
- 22:30and so yeah, get married. And just because it didn't work for
- 22:32you, Lily's mom, doesn't mean it's not gonna work for Lily, which
- 22:36Lily tries to tell her in the kitchen. She's like, I'm already in
- 22:40a better position than you were at my age, even though you had a
- 22:42baby when you were sixteen, Like I had a baby when I was sixteen,
- 22:47Like Lawrence is sticking around. Yeah, we have a home, we
- 22:48have kids, We're making it work. You didn't do that right, don't
- 22:52take that shit out on me exactly. But her mother cannot help her,
- 22:56so no, she can't. And we even see it in the preview when
- 23:00Lily's trying to get all the wedding plan stuff getting going. She's like getting
- 23:04a little overwhelmed, and her mom's like, yeah, see, I told
- 23:07you so, it's overwhelming. It's a lot. It's like, oh,
- 23:11fuck off. And I was telling you, like again, we were watching
- 23:14this together. I'm like my mother in law from my second marriage. She
- 23:18was the most wonderful, saintly person. She wasn't saintly, but she was
- 23:23just so fantastic. And for example, when I got really sick after I
- 23:29had my child, your wife, I went into a coma. I was
- 23:32in the hospital for like on and off for months. Like she flew up
- 23:36to Illinois, to Chicago, she took care of my daughter. She was
- 23:40there for me, but like she never imposed like her ways on me.
- 23:45She never told me how to be a parent, like when we made major
- 23:48decisions that I'm sure she didn't necessarily, Like she never told us that she
- 23:53only ever supported us. Yeah, juxtaposed that with my own mother. May
- 23:57she rest in peace, who I love. But like when I gave birth
- 24:00and I got really sick, I couldn't nurse for obvious reasons, like I'm
- 24:04in an actual koma mom, And she's like, but you can still nurse.
- 24:08And I'm in the actual hospital being narctized NonStop twenty four seven. You
- 24:14could still nurse. You could pump and nurse. I'm like, I literally
- 24:17can't do that. And she was like l leche league on steroids, yeah,
- 24:22making me feel so bad because the milk wasn't coming. I was sick,
- 24:26and she was on the phone every single day guilting me about actually nursing.
- 24:30And then my mother in law she's like, I raised all five of
- 24:33my kids on formula. We got doctors, we got nurses. It's gotta
- 24:37be lawyers, like it's going to be all right. And I'm just like
- 24:40thank you, Yeah, And ever since then, I always told myself that's
- 24:45the kind of mom in law I'm going to be, or the mother i'm
- 24:48gonna be. I'm just gonna be like you guys, go and do your
- 24:49own thing, have your kids parent them the way that you want to,
- 24:55even if I don't agree, Like, do whatever the fuck you want.
- 24:57I'm just here to support you and be there for you when you need me
- 25:00and spoil the kids. And spoil the kids. Yeah, and do that.
- 25:03But I'm never gonna step on your toes if you tell me no sugar
- 25:06though, Like I'm not gonna sneak it now you need, you know,
- 25:08on your date night. I'm not gonna give the kids shure. I'm not
- 25:11gonna be that kind of grandparent. Oh yeah, I'm just gonna give them
- 25:15sugar. No. But I mean, but if you said something that I
- 25:18shouldn't do, like, I'm going to listen to you. Like that's why
- 25:19Lily's mother bothers me so much. You're just going to estrange yourself from her
- 25:26entire family exactly. That's the thing. And it's like I can understand it
- 25:30from like the meta perspective. If I zoom out and I'm like I get
- 25:33where you're coming from. Lily's mom. I understand that you're trying to like
- 25:37be a parent and just be like, no, please, don't make them
- 25:38the same mistakes and like let me try and rectify it through you, like
- 25:42in my own way or whatever. I understand it. But stop, there's
- 25:45like a there's a certain point in time where like you have to let go
- 25:49as a parent, as a grandparent and just be like, Okay, it
- 25:52is what it is. I'm oldest, fuck right, I'm in my sixties.
- 25:56Let me just whatever, let me just be only fifty two. Yo.
- 26:00Oh I thought she was under success. She's most but like, for
- 26:03example, when you got married, Okay, yeah, the first time I
- 26:07got married, I was eighteen years old. Yeah I stayed married for eight
- 26:10years, which is a long time actually, but I was very young and
- 26:14it was never going to work out. And so when my daughter tells me
- 26:17she's gonna marry you, and y'all are nineteen slash twenty, I'm thinking to
- 26:19myself, well, should I tell them about my own personal experience? Should
- 26:23I give my opinion? Absolutely not. I supported you. I became an
- 26:27efficient so I could marry you. And that is like how I feel parents
- 26:33should be like if for some reason something doesn't work out, like, I'm
- 26:37going to be there then too. I'm going to be there for the whole
- 26:38fucking thing, supporting you. That's what parents do. Well, No,
- 26:41a lot of parents don't. Well no, I mean that's what parents should
- 26:45do. That is what they should give. But a lot of parents are
- 26:47just like whatever, fuck you, Like, I told you not to do
- 26:49it, right, and which is why you ended up not telling some of
- 26:52your family too, right. I didn't tell any of my family right because
- 26:56you knew they were going to be like what the fuck? Oh yeah,
- 26:57they would have talked me out of it. I was too stubborn, and
- 27:00I'm like, no, I'm gonna do it anyway, right, FuG off.
- 27:03And so then I told everybody via Facebook after the fact, after the
- 27:07fact, like oh yeah, we got married a couple of months ago,
- 27:10and most of them were supportive and some of them were a little bitter about
- 27:14it, but I'm like, you know, it is what it is.
- 27:15It's your life. It's life. You can do what you want. I
- 27:18knew none of them were going to approve, so I'm like, I'm just
- 27:22gonna do it anyway, and look at you now like eight years later,
- 27:25the success story that you are making it all work and love that for you.
- 27:30Yes you do. Yeah, it can happen. Just because it didn't
- 27:33work for you doesn't mean it can't work for somebody else, which is what
- 27:37Lily is trying to tell her mother, but her mother doesn't want to hear
- 27:41it. Her mother is still on her bullshit about divorce being super expensive,
- 27:45Like I can't believe that the biofather toothless, toothless and homeless, the toothless,
- 27:51not homeless, ned is sitting that's from Beverly Hills, but he's sitting
- 27:56there with the guy who wants to marry the wife, and they're all talking
- 28:00about it as if it's so normal, as if it's so expensive to divorce,
- 28:03Like what does meth dad have? No exactly what kind of property is
- 28:08he going to have to split? That's what I'm saying, sixty year old
- 28:11fifty two year old mom. Seriously, I'm like, it'd be one thing
- 28:15if like you guys were both really rich and it'd be super expensive to like
- 28:18go through all of your stuff or whatever and get a lawyer and all that.
- 28:22But no, he's literally an alcoholic and a drug and literally put it
- 28:26all up his nose, and he has the audacity at the Christmas dinner table
- 28:30to say it's cheaper to keeper I know, Like you're not keeping anybody.
- 28:34This other cool guy who raised your children is the one who's taking care of
- 28:38everything. I don't understand. I could never be me. I hope she's
- 28:42getting ripped his shreds online and everybody's like, it's literally so cheap to get
- 28:48divorced. My parents were broke as shit and got divorced on their own and
- 28:52it was fine, and it was not amicable at all, like they were
- 28:55fighting and they were going through custody battles and all this bullshit, but they
- 28:59still got divorce even though we were broke as hell. Yeah, So like,
- 29:03I don't know, it's an excuse and I don't understand it, don't
- 29:06I don't know why. And it's like a weird curse that you keep putting
- 29:08on your child, like trying to frighten her about the institution of marriage and
- 29:14that this shit never works. It's like, well, you're starting to predispose
- 29:18her to have a terrible marriage, Like why are you doing this from your
- 29:21own traumatic space, Like just get divorced and then if you don't want to
- 29:25get married again because you don't want to deal with the legality, that's fine.
- 29:27Like, I don't know where they're living. It's common law exists for
- 29:32them, and it exists in Texas, so it's like it does it can't
- 29:37happen. But I don't know. They're just a weird fucking family. Everybody's
- 29:40weird on this whole show. It's super weird. And the parents are so
- 29:41infuriating, yeah, because they act like they're so smart and so mature,
- 29:45and they're all pieces of shit. They all suck. And then we have
- 29:49the preview for the rest of the season and Lily is like overwhelmed with all
- 29:53the wedding stuff, obviously because it's a three month wedding and you want to
- 29:57plan a twenty thousand dollars wedding and that, I mean, what is Lauren's
- 30:00doing for work? Actually, though, like I mean, god bless it.
- 30:03He's working really hard, but he's a young man. I'm sure he's
- 30:07not pulling down six figures. Maybe he is, but I'm just like,
- 30:10it's gonna take a lot for this young man to raise that kind of money
- 30:12since you're not working. Lily that's why he's stressed out of the house.
- 30:15That is, because you're in the house exactly. And then we have Graham
- 30:18who's also stressed, and he's fighting with Kaylee. I don't know if he
- 30:22stayed the night at her house or what, but he's like, I'm distressed,
- 30:26and he starts crying every time I come over here. It's so stressful,
- 30:29and like life is stressful. You have a child that's coming, Graham,
- 30:33this is gonna be the rest of your life unless you bounce, which,
- 30:37let's face it, he's totally going about going to and I hope Kaylee
- 30:40will fight to get child support at least. Yeah, I mean he's working,
- 30:44he's only fifteen or sixteen year old. It's not like she's gonna get
- 30:47a ton of child support. But put that shit on the books, yep.
- 30:49Set a precedent, and then if he doesn't pay, you can come
- 30:53back in four arrears when he's twenty four years old. Honey, you can
- 30:56get all that money. Then exactly, all these kids need to be putting
- 30:59these young men on child support, they really you stick it in, You're
- 31:03gonna have to pay, yes, ma'am. And then we also have Emily
- 31:07crying because she's still pregnant and Nate's just sitting there, silent, not doing
- 31:11anything. But she's also being dramatic. Well, and you can tell because
- 31:15he's being quiet and he's so closed down that this is the kind of shit
- 31:19she does all the time. And he's over it. Yep. He's hit
- 31:23his limit with Emily and her crying and her bullshit. Yep. And we
- 31:27also saw a clip on TLC's Instagram page she apparently moves out of Tarreen's house
- 31:33and back in with her father because it was too terrible. Yeah, and
- 31:36I get he called it. Taran and her were coming to conflict, right,
- 31:41They were having problems, and Nate's pretty sad about it because he's like,
- 31:44these are the two most important people in my life and they can't get
- 31:47along. And I'm like, again, you shouldn't have put your peepee in
- 31:49her. But he's a child. The parents need to show up and provide
- 31:55some sexual education. It's all just a shit show, which is why we
- 32:00watch it. That's why we love this is why we watch it. It's
- 32:02pretty crazy. It is all these people are nuts and they are, well,
- 32:07we got some babies coming. I know Anaya's about to give birth to
- 32:10anayas I know, and we'll see how that goes. God stink ass grandmother
- 32:15is gonna piss me off. I'm sorry, Auntie because she doesn't want to
- 32:19be called grandmother. She's too young for that. Yeah, okay, lady,
- 32:23whatever. Well, do we have anything else that we need to say
- 32:28to these beautiful raccoons before we get to hail out of here? Beatrice?
