- 0:06Speaker 2: What's crackin' like? And this is the big boss dog,
- 0:08Speaker 2: Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Bang, boom.
- 0:10Speaker 2: What you gonna do? John Jay and Rich. We're not
- 0:13Speaker 2: talking about Ren 1010. We're not talking about Lassie. It's
- 0:16Speaker 2: the one and only dog, y'all. The classy, sassy, big
- 0:18Speaker 2: Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle. In your face to me. Man
- 0:21Speaker 2: in the place to be. And you're listening to John
- 0:23Speaker 2: Jay and Rich. Wake your ass up. All right, so
- 0:25Speaker 2: today's national what? Dress like a dork day. Oh, I
- 0:29Speaker 2: knew it. What a coincidence. You guys got that down.
- 0:33Speaker 4: It is also, I'm a little worried about this one,
- 0:36Speaker 4: evaluate your life day. I don't know that that should
- 0:38Speaker 4: start off a week when you've got to go over
- 0:40Speaker 4: all your things. And it's national new friends day. When's
- 0:43Speaker 4: the last time you actually made a new friend?
- 0:47Speaker 2: Like a month ago. Oh, you have? Yeah. That's great. Yeah.
- 0:50Speaker 2: I kind of like, I kind of had like new friends.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Which is big for you, John Jay. I went to
- 0:54Speaker 2: Ellen Langley with a new friend last week. That's awesome. Right?
- 0:57Speaker 2: I mean, a new friend for me. He's like, I've
- 0:59Speaker 2: had him. He's been my friend. I've had him for
- 1:00Speaker 2: like two years.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Now, I remember when you were deciding on whether or
- 1:03Speaker 5: not you were going to accept the invite, you were
- 1:04Speaker 5: worried that he was not going to like you anymore
- 1:07Speaker 5: after because you would be not a great concert friend.
- 1:09Speaker 2: I'm not a good concert person to go with. How
- 1:11Speaker 2: did it go? I think I did a good job.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I had a good time. I think I did a
- 1:14Speaker 2: good job. Did you dance? I didn't dance, but it
- 1:16Speaker 2: was standing in a room where I was standing shoulder
- 1:18Speaker 2: to shoulder. You just vibed? Yeah. That's good. But I
- 1:20Speaker 2: got to tell you guys something that.
- 1:23Speaker 2: This blows my mind, something I learned today. You remember
- 1:27Speaker 2: when they remodeled the whole everything and made everything red
- 1:29Speaker 2: and the kitchen's red and everything?
- 1:30Speaker 3: Yeah, of course.
- 1:31Speaker 2: You remember when that was? Oh, like at work? Yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 2: it was like 10 years ago, maybe. Yeah. Red carpet,
- 1:35Speaker 2: red walls. I'm one of those guys, and I've told
- 1:37Speaker 2: you guys this before. It's no secret. In my house,
- 1:40Speaker 2: there's a table there that I don't recognize, but it's
- 1:42Speaker 2: been there for years, or a picture. I don't know
- 1:45Speaker 2: what you call that, what kind of person you are
- 1:46Speaker 2: with that. I don't know certain things. Oblivious? Oblivious to
- 1:50Speaker 2: certain things, but some things I'm not. I'm hypersensitive. Yeah,
- 1:53Speaker 2: if Kyle ever showed up with chip nail polish, you
- 1:55Speaker 2: would notice. If Kyle has chip nail polish, I'd notice
- 1:57Speaker 2: right away. Something happened this morning, and it blew my
- 2:02Speaker 2: freaking mind here at this radio station. Blew my mind.
- 2:07Speaker 2: So we have functions here all the time, client parties, whatever, right?
- 2:10Speaker 2: And in the kitchen, there's this keg that's there. You
- 2:13Speaker 2: see the tap? Yeah. I've always thought that was a
- 2:17Speaker 2: beer keg and it was there for whenever we had parties.
- 2:19Speaker 2: And I always thought it was empty. I was just like,
- 2:21Speaker 2: there's just this empty beer keg, this tap there, whatever.
- 2:24Speaker 2: So I told you guys a couple of weeks ago,
- 2:26Speaker 2: we've been out of espresso for a long time. And
- 2:28Speaker 2: I saw the lady that runs the, I said, hey, Lauren,
- 2:31Speaker 2: when we get new espresso? And she goes, you know,
- 2:33Speaker 2: it's on back order and they only have this brand
- 2:35Speaker 2: and we don't have it yet. She goes over, she
- 2:37Speaker 2: points to the tap, the beer tap. She goes, but
- 2:40Speaker 2: we got this cold brew here that's pretty good. I go,
- 2:42Speaker 2: cold brew? What cold brew? She goes, right here, this
- 2:45Speaker 2: is a cold... I go, that's cold brew? She goes, yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 2: She goes, it's been here forever. They refill it once
- 2:51Speaker 2: a week. I go, what are you talking about? I
- 2:54Speaker 2: didn't know that.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Really?
- 2:55Speaker 2: Good.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I walk over and... It's freaking cold brew. That's what's
- 3:00Speaker 2: in this cup. And it says on the thing, cold brew. Yeah,
- 3:03Speaker 2: but it looks like the handle. It looks like a keg.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It looks like a beer tap.
- 3:06Speaker 5: That's why I've never really looked closely at it.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Never looked at it, but it's right there in front
- 3:11Speaker 2: of us every day. So I'm drinking cold brew right now,
- 3:13Speaker 2: and I'm so excited. It's pretty good, too.
- 3:15Speaker 3: You're not too far off, though, because in the other
- 3:18Speaker 3: front kitchen area where usually we have all the shindigs,
- 3:21Speaker 3: there's an actual beer keg up there.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Oh, so maybe that's why I thought of it?
- 3:25Speaker 3: So there's a cold brew one in like our little
- 3:28Speaker 3: area and then more so in the general public area
- 3:31Speaker 3: is where there's an actual beer.
- 3:32Speaker 2: But that changes my life because I would much rather
- 3:34Speaker 2: have a cold brew than a hot coffee. Yeah, they're fresh.
- 3:37Speaker 2: They switch it out, I would say, every two weeks.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Lauren says every week. But I didn't even know. I
- 3:43Speaker 2: don't know if that's true. I didn't know enough people
- 3:45Speaker 2: in this building were drinking the cold brew where it
- 3:47Speaker 2: has to be switched every week. So you see the
- 3:49Speaker 2: cups are on top. Yes, I saw it all right now.
- 3:51Speaker 2: That's what this is right here. When the cup's on
- 3:54Speaker 2: the tap, that means we're out of cold brew. Oh, smart.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Did you know that was cold brew then? Yeah, I'm
- 3:59Speaker 2: drinking it today. I know, but have you been drinking
- 4:00Speaker 2: it before? Did Lauren tell you?
- 4:01Speaker 1: No, no.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I thought you didn't drink much coffee. Look at you,
- 4:06Speaker 2: rich gatekeeping the cold brew.
- 4:07Speaker 3: For 10 years.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Every now and then, I have some. Like, I just
- 4:10Speaker 4: had a little bit today just because I wanted some.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Blew my mind that that's a cold brew thing right there. Corinne, Corinne,
- 4:17Speaker 2: you're on the air. I was told to pick you
- 4:18Speaker 2: up right away.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm on my truck phone, and I
- 4:22Speaker 1: know you hate that, John Jay, but I just made
- 4:24Speaker 1: the weirdest 911 call.
- 4:26Speaker 2: A weird 911? Okay, what happened? Tell us.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Well, I'm on my way to work, and I commute,
- 4:31Speaker 1: and I'm in Salem, Oregon. It's the capital of Oregon.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It's about an hour south of Portland, and I'm heading
- 4:38Speaker 1: towards Silverton, which is out in the country, but I'm
- 4:42Speaker 1: on a main road, on a busy road, and I
- 4:44Speaker 1: saw there was two horses. I thought they were homeless
- 4:47Speaker 1: people with blankets because... There's a ton of homeless people
- 4:51Speaker 1: on this road. And, oh, my God, I was freaking out.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I was like, why are there two horses? They're literally
- 4:57Speaker 1: walking down the road in the middle of a very
- 5:01Speaker 1: busy street. And I'm following them. Then I had to
- 5:05Speaker 1: call 911 because I didn't know what to do. I
- 5:07Speaker 1: almost hit them.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Well, could you slow down and then honk?
- 5:11Speaker 4: I did.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I slowed down, but they were like, it's dark. And
- 5:15Speaker 1: they were like super confused, these horses.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I bet.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And they're literally walking. They're walking down the road like
- 5:20Speaker 1: they're cars.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Do they have saddles on them, or do they look
- 5:24Speaker 4: like they're wild, or do they look like they belong
- 5:26Speaker 4: to somebody?
- 5:27Speaker 1: They belong to somebody. They belong to somebody. They had
- 5:30Speaker 1: blankets on. You know how horses have blankets?
- 5:32Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 5:34Speaker 1: You guys are in Arizona, so I don't really know
- 5:36Speaker 1: what it is.
- 5:36Speaker 2: We got horses here, too. We got a lot of horses.
- 5:39Speaker 2: And here, people drop their kids off at school on horses.
- 5:41Speaker 2: It's crazy here. I would have got on the horse, man.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I would have parked my car, got on the horse,
- 5:47Speaker 2: and went, get him. I would have done one of those.
- 5:50Speaker 4: I live so far out, there's a horse tie-up at
- 5:53Speaker 4: the Circle K.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Yeah, that's huge. That's great.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Oh, wow. Okay, okay. Well, anyway, I'm like, what do
- 5:59Speaker 1: I do? Because, like, I literally thought, I was like, oh, no,
- 6:02Speaker 1: this homeless guy, you know, I thought he was covering
- 6:06Speaker 1: himself with a blanket. And then I got closer, and
- 6:09Speaker 1: I was like, holy crumb, you know, they're horses. And
- 6:14Speaker 1: then I thought, well, what do you do? Do I
- 6:15Speaker 1: get out and try and guide them? And I was
- 6:18Speaker 1: just like, no, I'm going to call 911.
- 6:19Speaker 2: And when you call 911, what did the operator say
- 6:23Speaker 2: when you said, there's two horses in front of me
- 6:25Speaker 2: on the road taking their time? What did that person say?
- 6:28Speaker 1: She was like, what? She was like, homeless? You know,
- 6:33Speaker 1: because I said Silverton Road, and it's like known for homeless.
- 6:36Speaker 1: And I said, no horses.
- 6:38Speaker 2: By the way, did you guys know that there's a
- 6:40Speaker 2: difference between, did you know, Corinne, there's a difference between
- 6:43Speaker 2: a hobo, a tramp, and a bum? Okay, go on.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Did you guys know that?
- 6:49Speaker 5: No.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Okay, what is this?
- 6:51Speaker 5: I feel like we know the difference. A tramp is
- 6:54Speaker 5: maybe like given a different name. Like a hobo and like.
- 7:00Speaker 2: What was the first one? A bum. A hobo, a tramp,
- 7:03Speaker 2: and a bum.
- 7:04Speaker 5: OK, if I had to guess, maybe a hobo chooses
- 7:07Speaker 5: that lifestyle. A bum maybe did not choose that lifestyle.
- 7:11Speaker 5: And a tramp has something totally different meaning.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Is one of them like you like live on a
- 7:16Speaker 2: train or something? Wait, when you say different meaning, you
- 7:17Speaker 2: mean like sexual?
- 7:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:19Speaker 3: No.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Here's the thing. A hobo, a hobo travels around looking
- 7:24Speaker 2: for work. OK. A tramp only works when he has to.
- 7:28Speaker 2: And bums don't work at all.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Samsonite. I was way off. So if you get called
- 7:33Speaker 2: a bum, a bum, that's bad.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:36Speaker 2: I've met a handful of bums in my life. You
- 7:42Speaker 2: guys should make that a bit.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Hobo, tramp, or a bum, and then you can say
- 7:45Speaker 1: whether they're from Florida or what state, you know.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Hey, be careful on those 901 calls. And thanks for listening, friend.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Have a great day. Drive safe.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Have a good one.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Bye.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yeah, bye.
