- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: You just want to help and there's something wrong or there's something that you hear that I don't know.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's biblical.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to hear from you.

- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: 3, 1, 6, 7, 2, 4, 0.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: Now, when Proverbs 29 verse 1, the Bible says this, he, that being often reproved, hardeneth his neck shall suddenly be destroyed and that without remedy.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to look at beginning today of the next couple days at five different areas that God is very low to allow any monkey around with.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's very protective of his jealous of.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to give you five or more examples from these five different areas of places in in conception and scriptural tenets that if you were if I were so foolish as to mess with God might judge suddenly he might suddenly destroy.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing that's the thought for this week sudden destruction.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: We looked at yesterday.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: Ignorance isn't bliss, but ignorance is protection sometimes.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't know, God doesn't always come down like a ton of bricks on you.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: There are times when you should know better, you may be ignored when the comparison contrast between the word ignored and ignorant, but understand that word ignored means you purposely didn't want to hear, but ignorance just means unlearned.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: No one told you, maybe.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: He just didn't know, and God gives grace to the ignorant often.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: But those that no better, those that should no better, sometimes there's sudden destruction.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: What happens when you mess with God's work and the way he wants it done?
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: Look at second Samuel chapter number six, second Samuel chapter
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: is so excited to bring the Ark of God back to where it's supposed to be.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: Again, verse 1 of St. Samuel 6, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, 30,000 in David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Bale of Jordan, Judah, to bring up from thency, Ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the Lord of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims, and they set the Ark of God upon a new cart.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: and brought it out of the house of a minute dab that was in Ghibya in Uzza, and Ahio, the sons of a minute dab, drove the new cart, and they brought it out of the house of a minute dab, which was at Ghibya, accompanying the Ark of God in Ahio, went before the Ark, and David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all matter of instruments, made a fur word even on harps and on salt trees and on timbrals and on cornet and on symbols.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: and when they came in nations, Nacans, Threshing Floor, Usah, put forth his hand to the Ark of God and took hold of it for the oxen shook it, posse every just a moment.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: Who's a seas?
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: The Ark of God, maybe they were going up a bumpy area, maybe the oxen.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: There was at least two of them.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: How many oxen were pulling the cart?
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they got irritated with each other.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: They were pulling and shoving it a little bit.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: The cart was a little bit rickety, maybe.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: And it starts to shift and ooze this concern.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: The Ark of God falling for the ground when a terrible thing that would be.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: And so he reaches out takes hold of it to study it.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: Now, we have an idea of how big the arc was, but apparently big enough, big enough that, I should say, small enough that one man could grab and kind of study it.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: God didn't like this.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: Now, we're going to get in the context why, but look at the sudden destruction that comes, and the anger of the Lord was kindled against Usah, and God smote him there for His air.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: And there He died by the ark of God.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: that halt the procession.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: The Ark of God didn't go any further for a time.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: It was in the house of Obed-Edom, and God blessed the house of Obed-Edom, for I think the three months or so that it was there.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: But understand what you're thinking about this.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: when God spoke in previous.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: Some of it is your nights new.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if they had, I'm sure that was teaching about it.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: God told them how to teach and rehearsing the ears of the next generation all that he had done for his people.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: But what happens?
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: David.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: And this people disobey a tenant of transport of the Ark of the Covenant that should have been well-known to them, something that had been often noise, often taught, often commanded.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: The Ark wasn't transported on a cart pulled by oxen.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: It was carried and should have been carried by the Levites, but carried by God's people.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: And there's symbolism there, we can get in some different things here, but at the same time, regardless of the precise reasoning, they messed with God's work.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: He wanted God, wanted his work done in a precise way, and he said, rather, Mike, that sounds so very personality.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: That sounds very particular.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: That sounds how dare God, this is God's.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: work.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: He can command for it to be done however he wants.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: Usah knew the law of God.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: The ark should not have been on a cart and God judged quickly and we might say harshly, but usah was messing with the work of God.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_01]: Another example, think like Eli's sons, we were in singing Samuel, won't take the time, but in first Samuel, those young men were wicked.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: They flagrantly violated God's commands concerning the offerings that God's people offered in the sacred practices of worship.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: You realize these sacrifices were symbols of what was to come, of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and to mess with that was to mess with the picture of God's own Son, and God didn't take lightly to that their defiance led to their deaths.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Their denseness led to their destruction, they died in battle, and in the fulfillment of God's
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: They knew better.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_01]: They were Eli's sons.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: They were Sunday school boys.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: They were little brass like I was, growing up running around the church, sleeping on church pews.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: That was them.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm being little if it's satious here and I'm being a little figurative.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if they had church pews and the temple back then, in the Tabernacle, but I do know this, I do know they should have known better.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: And yet they were spitting the face of a holy God
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: more of a modern-day example where it's on 1937, Bible tracks incorporated the foundational ministry of this radio broadcast started in 1938.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: Can you believe that?
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: So just a year apart, 1937, the Hindenburg disaster.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: Designers ignored of the Hindenburg, ignored safety warnings.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: and chose to use highly flammable hydrogen instead of helium, and that explosion of the hidden bird shocked the world.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: But it shouldn't have.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: You have this big bag full of hydrogen.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think is going to happen?
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: You know what that does?
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: It just underscores the danger of ignoring known principles.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: Just like Usah ignored God's commands about how His work was to be done, just like Eli's sons, half-nine, finis, ignored God's commands about how things are supposed to be done.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: Charles Spurgeon said this, to ignore God's word is to invite disaster.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: I want to talk about God's word later on, but realize right now, we're talking about God's word about God's work.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: God, it was very clear about how things were supposed to be done.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: What a sad thing would be for someone like myself to grow up in church.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: No, they should serve God.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not talking about a full-time ministry.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: But no, there is something they're supposed to be doing.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: They're supposed to be faithful of church.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_01]: This will be faithful of givers.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: This will be faithful in prayer.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: This will be faithful in obedience.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: Knowing they should serve God, but choosing to flippantly treat God's work, or the things of God as unimportant.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: Was that what Usah was trying to do?
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: Was he trying to spit in the face of God, shake his fist at God, like Haftain, Phineas, word or something like, no, but an honest mistake is still a mistake.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: And if we boil it down, I don't know if you call this an honest mistake.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: was the mistake of choosing that, which was easier.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: We got a cart right here, we got ox and why am I going to want to carry this?
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: We barely got enough people, it's a long way.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: And so they put it on the cart.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: It begins to shake, rattle and roll.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: And what happens?
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: Who's the touches it?
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: And dies.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder what areas of God's work you are getting perilously close to messing with it right now.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe in your life there are some things that you know I shouldn't be doing that or I'm taking this for granted or I'm being a little too flippant with this particular situation.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe right now, I don't know if you're listening in the morning after noon, evening, middle of the night, wherever you happen to be, could we pause for a moment and ask God to give us wisdom to identify the areas where we've been often approved, and we are ignoring we are hardening our necks, and we are on the precipice of sudden destruction.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate so much the fact that you would tune in today, but if you just heard these words and don't put into action some change makes some decision to steer away from sudden destruction friend, all that's been for naught.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: Tomorrow, on the broadcast, we're going to look at two more areas that God is very careful to protect and Friday will conclude with the last two.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: I want to thank you so much for tuning in today.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: My prayer as always is that you have a great day for His glory.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate your leadership.
