- 0:48Speaker 3: March thirteenth.
- 0:50Speaker 5: And it is or the sixteenth?
- 0:52Speaker 3: Is it the sixteenth? Yeah?
- 0:54Speaker 5: Remember it was Friday the thirteenth.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Oh, you're right, and it's March sixteenth. This is what
- 1:01Speaker 2: happens to me. I read what she does is here's
- 1:05Speaker 2: what I have to do.
- 1:06Speaker 3: And I'm sorry to.
- 1:07Speaker 5: See no call me out.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I know I'm calling you out now.
- 1:10Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:13Speaker 2: That's not a problem. And what I'm saying I'm gonna
- 1:15Speaker 2: go beyond calling you out. Every time you give me
- 1:17Speaker 2: a date, I'm gonna check with someone else.
- 1:20Speaker 3: There there's this team.
- 1:23Speaker 5: Are you gonna check with your options? Are pretty sad.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Hey, hey, hey, I know what day it is. It's
- 1:29Speaker 3: a freaking calendar, dude. I don't have a freaking calendar
- 1:32Speaker 3: in front of me.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Not a calendar, a calendar.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Oh well that's the problem. All the dates are slipping
- 1:38Speaker 3: through it. Oh that's very good. When you're right mark sixteen.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Damn it.
- 1:43Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, all right, Well you okay, but I sound
- 1:48Speaker 2: like a moron, you know. Don't put it on you
- 1:53Speaker 2: mark sixteenth.
- 1:54Speaker 3: You write that down.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Yeah, there's okay, three places in front of me right
- 1:59Speaker 4: now to have the date. I also have a calendar
- 2:03Speaker 4: that lets me know the minute.
- 2:04Speaker 3: I wait about I'm using calendar on your phone. No,
- 2:08Speaker 3: you know what I'm talking. The whole team should send
- 2:13Speaker 3: me home.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Yeah please, I'm just changing everything around, and it's not
- 2:21Speaker 2: on my phone. But I don't look at the calendar
- 2:23Speaker 2: on my phone because I don't have that part of
- 2:24Speaker 2: it on my.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Right on the it's right on the screen there next
- 2:27Speaker 4: to the time. Uh nowday March sixteen.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Mine just says six So six that's it.
- 2:36Speaker 3: And a big picture of Lindsay. Oh no, there's no
- 2:39Speaker 3: picture of Lindsay. You should get a picture of Listney
- 2:42Speaker 3: Lindsay with the date on it.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Uh, that would change. Yeah, then it changes the picture
- 2:48Speaker 2: of Lindsay too. And I don't have many good pictures
- 2:50Speaker 2: of Lindsay. I tend to take pictures of her in
- 2:54Speaker 2: let's say, compromising positions. Okay, let me say every chair.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I'm sorry, getting into your wheelchair is sometimes sometimes.
- 3:06Speaker 3: All right, Cody, you're you're in a T shirt. I
- 3:09Speaker 3: don't think I've ever seen you do that. That's what
- 3:11Speaker 3: Ann said this morning. In summertime, it's like seventy degrees
- 3:14Speaker 3: outside at three in the morning, So I were a
- 3:17Speaker 3: short sleeve T shirt. Gunzo, I didn't know that was
- 3:20Speaker 3: a crazy thing in southern California to wear.
- 3:22Speaker 2: No, it's crazy thing for you because I think we've
- 3:24Speaker 2: been working together for years. I think that may be
- 3:26Speaker 2: the first time I've seen you in that. And good morning,
- 3:30Speaker 2: good morning, good morning, March sixteenth. How do you know,
- 3:37Speaker 2: I just know, Neil, Good morning, happy March sixteenth, Happy
- 3:41Speaker 2: March sixteenth, Amy, Good morning, good morning, Bill Amy. You
- 3:45Speaker 2: are one of the few people that are can really
- 3:48Speaker 2: get away with sleepless dresses because a lot of people
- 3:54Speaker 2: I'm not going to say your age, well, yeah, because
- 3:56Speaker 2: you're no, youngster. They a lot of a lot of
- 3:59Speaker 2: women have bat wings and you don't. I don't know
- 4:04Speaker 2: why I pointed that out.
- 4:05Speaker 3: It just.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you, though that actually was if that was
- 4:09Speaker 2: a compliment, that was somewhere in there.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Hey, Amy, shouldn't you be fat by now? Or yeah?
- 4:19Speaker 2: Gravity now, let me tell you know what gravity does?
- 4:23Speaker 2: Do you have any idea what gravity does? Neil, Neil,
- 4:27Speaker 2: you should know? Cono, well, your Cona's a little young
- 4:29Speaker 2: for that. You look down and you know, you get
- 4:34Speaker 2: the bell ringers.
- 4:36Speaker 3: It is not fun. It really isn't. Okay, Yeah, let's right.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Anybody watched any I know, we're just we're going all
- 4:51Speaker 2: over the place.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Anybody watched the Academy Awards last night?
- 4:55Speaker 5: I did con and and watched baseball.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Okay, the lick of it. No, I was at a
- 5:00Speaker 3: family function.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Okay, and I didn't know. I don't even know who won.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I don't know the name of the movies. I don't
- 5:08Speaker 2: know a thing about it.
- 5:10Speaker 5: One Battle after Another was the big winner. It took
- 5:13Speaker 5: Best Picture and Best Directly.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Okay, what is One Battle after Another?
- 5:17Speaker 5: Leonardo DiCaprio's movie, And It's about I didn't personally like it,
- 5:24Speaker 5: but it's about like terrorists in America.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Did he win Best Actor?
- 5:30Speaker 5: No?
- 5:30Speaker 3: No, Michael B.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Jordan got Best Actor for Sinners. The Sinners, Yeah.
- 5:36Speaker 3: The porno film. Right.
- 5:37Speaker 5: No, No, it's really a vampire movie that got huge
- 5:42Speaker 5: critical acclaim and I hated it.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Oh. I thought it was brilliant. I thought it was lovely.
- 5:49Speaker 5: That movie was lovely. I would not use it cinematically.
- 5:52Speaker 3: It was no.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Cinematically it was gorgeous, but also the storytelling when it
- 5:58Speaker 4: came to past president, future of culture and music and
- 6:03Speaker 4: a lot of the spiritual stuff.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I dug it, I dug it.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I understand that what Michael B. Jordan played conjoined twins
- 6:10Speaker 2: and everything. Well, all right, let's go ahead and start
- 6:20Speaker 2: with the show. Is time for a handle on the news?
- 6:23Speaker 2: Amy Neil and me lead story. God, we're gonna do it.
- 6:30Speaker 2: We're gonna do some Trump news today because you can't
- 6:31Speaker 2: get around this. The President demanded about about seven countries
- 6:36Speaker 2: to join the coalition to police ran straight of horror moves,
- 6:41Speaker 2: saying correctly that the United States is the least affected
- 6:45Speaker 2: of the major company of major countries regarding the straight
- 6:49Speaker 2: of horror moves because we don't get our oil from
- 6:51Speaker 2: countries that use the Strait of Horror moves Straight of
- 6:54Speaker 2: Horror moves. Is that little quick, that little tiny peninsula
- 6:57Speaker 2: sticks out into the Gulf, which then leads into the
- 7:01Speaker 2: Arabian Sea, and that's how oil comes out of those
- 7:05Speaker 2: Mid East countries.
- 7:06Speaker 3: And everybody is saying.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Maybe, kind of, sort of possibly it is so easy
- 7:15Speaker 2: to fix Straight of America done, You're welcome. Yeah, it's
- 7:21Speaker 2: and this is it's the last thing that Iran will have.
- 7:25Speaker 2: That's the last piece of ammunition that they have and
- 7:28Speaker 2: gives them any kind of ability to fight, certainly the
- 7:34Speaker 2: United States and if the rest of the world. And
- 7:36Speaker 2: it could be that the other countries didn't name that
- 7:38Speaker 2: what they were, but clearly allied countries clearly.
- 7:41Speaker 3: In the Mid East, he wants them.
- 7:43Speaker 2: But you know, England, France, Germany, they get a lot
- 7:46Speaker 2: of their oil from the Mid East.
- 7:49Speaker 3: And he wants Japan. Yeah, he wants everybody.
- 7:52Speaker 2: He wants everybody, and everybody is sitting back at this point,
- 7:55Speaker 2: wait till the oil literally chokes them, and they're they're
- 7:59Speaker 2: probably gonna come to the table reluctantly, you know, considering
- 8:02Speaker 2: Trump a warmonger, hating the fact that it happened. But
- 8:06Speaker 2: coming to the table kicking and screaming. I don't know
- 8:09Speaker 2: if they could have much of a choice if the
- 8:12Speaker 2: blockade continues.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Matter of fact, that's our next story too, Amy.
- 8:17Speaker 5: It's like K pop Demon Hunters. It's going up, up, up.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Keep singing song all and in a bad mood. Oh
- 8:27Speaker 4: and Kono's trying to show his T shirt.
- 8:29Speaker 5: That's an Academy Award winning song. Now build. By the way,
- 8:34Speaker 5: the price of oil is up to its highest level
- 8:36Speaker 5: since July of twenty twenty two. The Trump administration suggests
- 8:40Speaker 5: the war in Iran could last several more weeks. The
- 8:45Speaker 5: wars into its third week, and oil is actually trading
- 8:49Speaker 5: down a little bit this morning. But it's just over
- 8:50Speaker 5: ninety five dollars a barrel.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Hang on a minute, how about it go three to
- 8:54Speaker 2: four weeks? When it was over the first hour and
- 8:57Speaker 2: we've already won. What am I missing here?
- 9:00Speaker 3: What are you talking about?
- 9:02Speaker 2: Oh, the declaration that President Trump said that the war
- 9:05Speaker 2: is over, We've won it.
- 9:07Speaker 3: It was over the first hour. Oh, you throw a
- 9:11Speaker 3: curveball when you're trying to be done. That was a curveball.
- 9:13Speaker 2: That was that was That was a quote and then
- 9:16Speaker 2: it's now going to take several weeks. That's all go
- 9:21Speaker 2: through all the I think what happened, I think it,
- 9:22Speaker 2: I think it can be defended. What he says, it's
- 9:25Speaker 2: mainly I think puffery, much like when he said, uh,
- 9:29Speaker 2: it's we're gonna I'm going to cut prices in half
- 9:33Speaker 2: day one.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Okay, more statesmen.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Mayor Bass said before her house was broken into and
- 9:39Speaker 4: her gun was stolen that she gave a ten out
- 9:41Speaker 4: of ten about the safety of Los Angeles.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Yeah, not arguing that. It's just the same politician on
- 9:47Speaker 3: the I and I am. I just said that. I
- 9:51Speaker 3: just said that.
- 9:51Speaker 2: But uh, it's not what she says is not as
- 9:56Speaker 2: anywhere near as important what he says, because this is
- 9:59Speaker 2: a president say things and everybody pays attention to it.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Mixed messages, that's all we're getting.
- 10:04Speaker 2: And Pete Hegsith talked about how we've decimated and we've
- 10:07Speaker 2: wiped out their ability to fire missiles.
- 10:10Speaker 3: While the missiles are coming.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Literally we have taken out their ability to fire missiles.
- 10:16Speaker 2: A missile is flying over his head. You remember bad
- 10:20Speaker 2: Dad Bob during the last Gulf War and bag Dad
- 10:25Speaker 2: Bob was on the top of one of the ministry buildings,
- 10:30Speaker 2: Iraqi ministry buildings, and he said, there are no American
- 10:33Speaker 2: troops in bag Dad, we have fought everybody off.
- 10:37Speaker 3: And then the.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Camera panned to a row of American tanks right below
- 10:42Speaker 2: him while he was saying that that's all I'm saying.
- 10:44Speaker 4: All right, could you imagine your your dad dies and
- 10:50Speaker 4: then you find out that he thinks you're stupid. At
- 10:54Speaker 4: least your dad told you were stupid while he was alive. Bill,
- 10:56Speaker 4: But at the point, yeah, so us and tell Leigence,
- 11:00Speaker 4: I guess it's circulating back to President Trump and this
- 11:03Speaker 4: you know, small group of people around him that Iran's
- 11:07Speaker 4: late supreme leader had misgivings about his son replacing him.
- 11:12Speaker 4: This comes from a bunch of different sources. Now, the
- 11:16Speaker 4: analysts shows that the Uh the elder come in, he
- 11:21Speaker 4: was wary of his son Uh taking over his power
- 11:25Speaker 4: because he was perceived as not very bright and was
- 11:29Speaker 4: viewed as an unqualified.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Uh was viewed as unqualified to be leader.
- 11:34Speaker 4: So Uh, I guess his son has some issues in
- 11:38Speaker 4: his personal life as well. Maybe it's like Hunter Biden,
- 11:44Speaker 4: because he could be something, But it just sounds like
- 11:49Speaker 4: that's just a hard lesson to learn, especially if you're
- 11:52Speaker 4: limping around with shrapnel in your leg or whatever. They're
- 11:55Speaker 4: guessing your dad thought you were stupid, buddy.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I SII, how do you say black sheep in Farsi?
- 12:06Speaker 3: It's not answering. Siri does this to me all the time.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Wouldn't it be funny if it responded with his son's name?
- 12:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's funny. Yeah, let me try that one more time,
- 12:15Speaker 2: because now I'm interested.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Siri.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Hey, Siri, how do you say black sheep in Farsi?
- 12:26Speaker 2: I can't translate into Persian? Of course, not you moron? Okay,
- 12:30Speaker 2: moving on?
- 12:31Speaker 3: What candle? Yes, all right, moving.
- 12:34Speaker 2: On more handle on the news, Amy, eure up. Now,
- 12:39Speaker 2: I don't know why I'm telling you this. You know
- 12:40Speaker 2: you're up?
- 12:41Speaker 3: Wow? Yeah, Well, I don't know why I'm doing this.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Sixteenth handle Yeah, no, I know.
- 12:46Speaker 5: Okay. On a more serious note, more of the fallen
- 12:49Speaker 5: have been identified. The militaries identified the troops killed when
- 12:55Speaker 5: that CASEY one thirty five refueling tanker crashed in Western
- 13:00Speaker 5: Rock last week. The soldiers were from National Guard and
- 13:05Speaker 5: Air Force units from Alabama, Washington, Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio.
- 13:14Speaker 3: Yeah and that's kind of a heartbreaker.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Oh just real quickly, a little factoy, What does that
- 13:19Speaker 2: casey went thirty five look like?
- 13:22Speaker 3: I don't know, it looks like a.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Seven oh seven Boeing seven oh seven because it's some
- 13:27Speaker 2: modified Boweing seven oh seven is still in the sky.
- 13:32Speaker 3: All right.
- 13:33Speaker 4: You remember those old cartoons that had like the bulldog
- 13:36Speaker 4: and then the little yappie dog.
- 13:37Speaker 3: They'd be like, yeah, yeah, yeah, what he says.
- 13:40Speaker 4: That's how I see the Federal the FCC Commission Chair
- 13:46Speaker 4: Brendan Carr. He just seems like a yappie dog with
- 13:50Speaker 4: a big bodyguard. So he's threatening to revoke broadcasters' licenses
- 13:54Speaker 4: over coverage of the Iran war after a President Trump
- 13:58Speaker 4: accuses newssh outlets of intentionally misleading the American public. His
- 14:03Speaker 4: particular call out there was that four or five tanker
- 14:10Speaker 4: planes suffered virtually no damage and are already back in service.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Yet the Wall Street Journal and others reported Friday that
- 14:19Speaker 4: the Iranian strikes damaged five US Air Force refueling planes
- 14:23Speaker 4: in Saudi Arabia. The scare he says, they're sick and demented.
- 14:28Speaker 2: The scary part is that Brendan Carr does have the
- 14:32Speaker 2: ability to yank broadcast licenses. Of course, they'd be a
- 14:35Speaker 2: lawsuit instantly, But the FCC has the power to do
- 14:39Speaker 2: that and its administrative call in the courts give tremendously way.
- 14:45Speaker 2: So the issue is, does would Brendan Carr's decision violate
- 14:49Speaker 2: First Amendment?
- 14:50Speaker 3: And I don't know if the truth has anything to
- 14:53Speaker 3: it or not. As a journalism outlet, do you have
- 14:56Speaker 3: the First Amendment right to be wrong? Yeah, of course
- 15:00Speaker 3: you do on purpose, and well you have the right
- 15:04Speaker 3: to be wrong.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Now does the FCC have the right to nail you
- 15:08Speaker 2: based on the fact that you're wrong? And then there's maliciousness,
- 15:12Speaker 2: it gets it gets a little crazy, and it's gonna
- 15:14Speaker 2: it would be up to the courts. Now, this court,
- 15:17Speaker 2: the Supreme Court, I believe, would give the FCC chair
- 15:21Speaker 2: the right to do it, even if the court disagreed
- 15:24Speaker 2: with the reasons, simply because of the power that the
- 15:27Speaker 2: Constitution gives the executive So it's never happened before, So
- 15:32Speaker 2: a whole lot in this administration, it's never happened before.
- 15:36Speaker 3: A lot of this is a case of first impression.
- 15:41Speaker 5: An eye for an eye could have been sort of
- 15:44Speaker 5: the reasoning behind this one Israel's military is claiming that
- 15:49Speaker 5: the brother of the Michigan synagogue attacker was a Hesbolah
- 15:56Speaker 5: commander and was responsible for managing weapons in a union
- 16:00Speaker 5: that has launched hundreds of rockets toward Israeli cynisons. Remember
- 16:04Speaker 5: the guy in Michigan drove into a synagogue, he ended
- 16:09Speaker 5: up dying. This story is saying that he shot himself.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, it's from the beginning, self inflicted. Yeah,
- 16:19Speaker 2: he drove in and uh, the security came out.
- 16:23Speaker 5: Well, he didn't really hurt.
- 16:25Speaker 3: He hurt one guard, right, and that's with the car,
- 16:28Speaker 3: that's with the cart.
- 16:29Speaker 5: Other than that, he didn't do any real.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Per he did to the lobby of the building.
- 16:35Speaker 5: Yeah, but yeah, but he was killed.
- 16:37Speaker 3: And yeah that really that was a miracle.
- 16:39Speaker 2: And uh yeah, and he was heard in Arabic screaming,
- 16:43Speaker 2: I'll show you you clean this mess up, and then
- 16:46Speaker 2: he shot himself in the head.
- 16:48Speaker 5: So we had heard last week that his family had
- 16:50Speaker 5: been killed in attacks, but this is showing it in
- 16:54Speaker 5: a different light, right, So that it was a Hesbla leader.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it was.
- 16:58Speaker 2: It first came out that his family was killed, and
- 17:00Speaker 2: it turned out his brother was killed.
- 17:03Speaker 3: So you know, is that terrorist motivation? I don't think so.
- 17:08Speaker 2: I think it's just a family member who went completely
- 17:12Speaker 2: over the top.
- 17:13Speaker 4: All right, So twenty twenty July twenty twenty, you had
- 17:18Speaker 4: the USMCA which took effect, and that is this US
- 17:24Speaker 4: Mexico Canadian agreement that President Donald Trump himself negotiated with
- 17:29Speaker 4: America's northern and southern neighbors during his first term. Well,
- 17:34Speaker 4: today they kick off new talks between the US and
- 17:39Speaker 4: Mexican trade officials. It's probably going to be a little
- 17:43Speaker 4: rockier than it was the first time.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Yeah, and then we'll look at the dates this.
- 17:51Speaker 2: The renewal of this doesn't have to be then until
- 17:55Speaker 2: twenty thirty six. Does that make any sense? But for
- 17:59Speaker 2: negotiatations this would go on. So I don't understand how
- 18:03Speaker 2: this works. It just seems that this is years and
- 18:06Speaker 2: it gives a couple of years to get out of it,
- 18:09Speaker 2: which makes sense because so much trade is relying on
- 18:13Speaker 2: this agreement. So it's Canada and Mexico and the US,
- 18:18Speaker 2: which is probably one major huge trading block.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Serial it's massive.
- 18:24Speaker 2: How do you say a boot in Spanish?
- 18:28Speaker 3: No, it's not helping. Okay, moving on, get.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Out for a lot less. If you want to denounce
- 18:37Speaker 5: your US citizenship, go ahead. It'll only cost you four
- 18:40Speaker 5: hundred and fifty dollars, down from twenty three hundred and
- 18:43Speaker 5: fifty dollars that it was until well until April thirteenth
- 18:48Speaker 5: is when these cuts are going to kick in. But
- 18:51Speaker 5: apparently it's a very long, arduous process. If you want
- 18:54Speaker 5: to say I no longer want to be a US citizen,
- 18:57Speaker 5: you have to go through inner and they have to
- 19:01Speaker 5: do a bunch of paperwork and make sure that you
- 19:03Speaker 5: know what you're doing and all of that. But they're
- 19:05Speaker 5: making it cheaper now. It was proposed in October of
- 19:09Speaker 5: twenty twenty three and it goes into effect in April.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I have some ideas why they make it so difficult
- 19:17Speaker 2: to renounce American citizenhip.
- 19:18Speaker 3: What would you think because people want to come back? No, no,
- 19:24Speaker 3: they don't care.
- 19:25Speaker 2: It's because, and this is my view of this, it's
- 19:28Speaker 2: because of taxes. Is because under US law, if you
- 19:33Speaker 2: are an American citizen, it doesn't matter where you live,
- 19:37Speaker 2: you are liable for US taxes. If you renounce your
- 19:42Speaker 2: citizenship and you're out of the country more than X
- 19:46Speaker 2: number of months over six months, that I don't know
- 19:48Speaker 2: the number. You do not have to pay taxes, so
- 19:52Speaker 2: it is a tax situation.
- 19:53Speaker 3: I think that's my take on it.
- 19:56Speaker 2: My parents had to renounce their citizenship to become US citizens.
- 20:00Speaker 2: At their point in the fifties, when they became US citizens,
- 20:03Speaker 2: the law was you could not become a You cannot
- 20:06Speaker 2: stay a citizen of another country if you are immigrating.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Part of becoming an American citizen is renouncing foreign citizenship.
- 20:14Speaker 2: That's changed completely. There are plenty of dual citizens. I
- 20:17Speaker 2: am a citizen of Brazil, I am a citizen of
- 20:20Speaker 2: the United States. I am applying to be a citizen
- 20:23Speaker 2: of Poland. So I'm going to be a Polish citizen
- 20:27Speaker 2: because my dad was born in Poland. And I'm doing
- 20:31Speaker 2: that so I can go to Europe back and forth
- 20:34Speaker 2: and I do not have to worry about visas or
- 20:36Speaker 2: any of that.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Well, we've always considered you Polish, that's right.
- 20:40Speaker 3: I am the butt of every Polish joke that exists.
- 20:45Speaker 3: You are the butt.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Yeah, So how many Jewish Polish mothers does it take
- 20:51Speaker 2: to screw in a light bulb?
- 20:55Speaker 3: Don't worry about it, you can do it later, all right.
- 20:59Speaker 4: All right, So Iran's women's soccer team been in the
- 21:04Speaker 4: news there they decided they were in Australia and some
- 21:09Speaker 4: of them got visas as refugees, and it started out
- 21:13Speaker 4: as a larger number and it keeps whittling down. So
- 21:15Speaker 4: another three members of that soccer team from Iran have
- 21:20Speaker 4: decided against staying in Australia, and of course the Iranian
- 21:24Speaker 4: news agency is utilizing this, describing the women's women's return
- 21:29Speaker 4: to the team as the disgraceful failure of the American
- 21:33Speaker 4: Australian project and another failure for Trump.
- 21:38Speaker 5: This is heartbreaking.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Well you think that it's uh that.
- 21:43Speaker 5: Their families aren't being threatened.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that's.
- 21:47Speaker 2: So you come back and we're not going to bother
- 21:51Speaker 2: your family, and we promise that when you play with
- 21:53Speaker 2: a soccer ball, there will not be a.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Fuse that's attached to it. Even if you go back.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Do you think that there aren't at some time going
- 22:03Speaker 4: to be focused on in a way.
- 22:04Speaker 3: That's yeah.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I think even the initial attempt to go or try
- 22:10Speaker 2: to clear I take yeah, and they may go and
- 22:13Speaker 2: they may be going back simply to protect their families.
- 22:17Speaker 3: That's it. The sole reason I would imagine too.
- 22:21Speaker 5: Airlines calling on Congress, san can you please get your
- 22:26Speaker 5: act together. The heads of American, Delta, Southwest, Jet Blue,
- 22:32Speaker 5: and others are imploring Congress to restore the funding to
- 22:35Speaker 5: the DHS and also to embrace a bipartisan solution to
- 22:40Speaker 5: pay federal aviation workers and security officers during the strike.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:46Speaker 2: The irony here is the reason that the TSA workers
- 22:52Speaker 2: are not working is because they're not being paid or
- 22:55Speaker 2: leaving like crazy. And the entire shut down, this partial
- 22:59Speaker 2: shut down, it's because of the way the government is
- 23:02Speaker 2: dealing with immigration, and the immigrant ICE is fully funded.
- 23:08Speaker 3: That is ironic. FEMA is not.
- 23:13Speaker 2: ICE is yes, TSA is not. And TSA workers are
- 23:18Speaker 2: starting to there's a problem. They don't have money. They're
- 23:20Speaker 2: no paycheck and a lot of them live paycheck to
- 23:22Speaker 2: Paycheck's not as if they make tons of money.
- 23:27Speaker 4: All right, Speaking of ICE, you have the Trump administration
- 23:33Speaker 4: being looked at obviously every time he speaks anything he does,
- 23:37Speaker 4: and the Immigration Enforcement has obviously caught a lot of
- 23:41Speaker 4: our attention. Well, it turns out, I think most people
- 23:45Speaker 4: know this, but more Mexicans were deported annually under Biden
- 23:49Speaker 4: than Trump. I think the same goes for Obama, whereas
- 23:55Speaker 4: with the Biden administration, deportant deportations of Mexicans per year
- 24:00Speaker 4: reached nearly three hundred thousand. Since President Trump returned to
- 24:03Speaker 4: the White House in January last year, the US had
- 24:06Speaker 4: deported a little over fourteen or one hundred and forty
- 24:10Speaker 4: four thousand rag rather Mexicans to their homeland at the
- 24:14Speaker 4: end of twenty twenty five. You got to ask, though,
- 24:18Speaker 4: does this count self deportations?
- 24:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Also, the numbers here at first glance seem okay, Obama
- 24:28Speaker 2: deported it a lot more as did Biden. Also, if
- 24:31Speaker 2: you dive a little bit deeper, there were fewer people
- 24:33Speaker 2: to deport coming over the borders.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Well, yeah, that's this is such a weird argument because,
- 24:38Speaker 4: like I know, okay, so Trump was doing a great
- 24:41Speaker 4: job at protecting our borders, so less people came over,
- 24:45Speaker 4: so he didn't deport as many.
- 24:48Speaker 3: That's the argument.
- 24:49Speaker 2: That's true, so hard because the majority were caught near
- 24:52Speaker 2: the border.
- 24:52Speaker 3: But then going beyond, the question.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Becomes how many of those eleven million that are here
- 25:00Speaker 2: that the president promised to deport relatively few? And when
- 25:04Speaker 2: you look at the video of what Ice is doing
- 25:08Speaker 2: and picking up people at schools and shooting, pretty and good.
- 25:15Speaker 2: That is, that's two people over the last couple of years,
- 25:19Speaker 2: or one or two more. That is not what they
- 25:21Speaker 2: do all year, over hundreds of thousands of deportations.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Execution was right.
- 25:27Speaker 2: The point is that the perception is they're doing that.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Ice is doing this across the board.
- 25:34Speaker 3: They're not.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Those are aberrational, those are ap Those are aberrational, however,
- 25:40Speaker 2: news worthy items, and so we think that this is
- 25:44Speaker 2: going on across the board.
- 25:46Speaker 3: It's not.
- 25:47Speaker 2: So. The numbers don't lie. This is statistics. That's what
- 25:50Speaker 2: it is, nothing more than statistics. What are statistics. There
- 25:53Speaker 2: are lies, there are more lies. There are damn lies,
- 25:56Speaker 2: and there are statistics.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Ninety percent of those deported were men. Right, numbers don't lie.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Don't mess at the Mama bear. A black bear in
- 26:13Speaker 5: Monrovia apparently swiped at a woman with its claw on Saturday.
- 26:17Speaker 5: She was walking her dog on Saturday morning, and Monrovia
- 26:21Speaker 5: police say the bear kind of charged at the woman.
- 26:26Speaker 5: Did you know California is home to about sixty thousand
- 26:29Speaker 5: black bears?
- 26:30Speaker 3: Yes, I knew that. And you know why I knew that?
- 26:33Speaker 3: Why because I read this?
- 26:36Speaker 5: Okay, Well, So the update to this story is that
- 26:39Speaker 5: fish and Wildlife came in. They tranquilized mama, took her
- 26:43Speaker 5: off and captured two cubs. So maybe that's why mom
- 26:47Speaker 5: was being aggressive.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Could be and not knowing. If you're a bears leave
- 26:51Speaker 3: you alone.
- 26:51Speaker 2: As Neil had said last week, for the most part,
- 26:54Speaker 2: they're pretty shy, except when the little ones are around,
- 26:57Speaker 2: then they're not so shy.
- 26:59Speaker 5: Yeah, they've been living under a house in MONROEVI. Now
- 27:02Speaker 5: there's another bear that's been living under a house in Altadena.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Did you see this weekend Aaron Myers four Channel five,
- 27:09Speaker 4: I think was out covering the story of the woman
- 27:16Speaker 4: that the bear attacked or something, and while she's doing
- 27:20Speaker 4: a live stand up shot, a bear is behind her.
- 27:24Speaker 5: Yeah, she starts walking down a driveway.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Yeah, it starts walking down a driveway and I was like,
- 27:30Speaker 4: holy hell. You could see its feet behind like a
- 27:32Speaker 4: camper or something or a car parked in the driveway,
- 27:35Speaker 4: and You're all, what's that? And then I think the
- 27:37Speaker 4: camera person was like, uh, you might want to turn around,
- 27:42Speaker 4: but how neat that?
- 27:43Speaker 3: Yeah? Bigfoot? Yeah, bigfoot sasquatch? All right?
- 27:48Speaker 4: So Pentagon binge spending just anything and everything. I want
- 27:54Speaker 4: to give me that one. How much does that shoot?
- 27:57Speaker 4: So the spending in September, obviously we know why, included
- 28:01Speaker 4: nearly nine million on This is kind of weird Alaskan
- 28:07Speaker 4: king crab and lobster tails, more than two hundred million
- 28:12Speaker 4: in furniture and five point three million in Apple devices.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Okay, now let's look at why they do this, and
- 28:22Speaker 2: it looks ridiculous. Then when you read as the terrific
- 28:27Speaker 2: food is likely for troops on extended deployment head of
- 28:31Speaker 2: the war in Iran, knowing that the war was going
- 28:33Speaker 2: to happen and needed troops to stay, it's and they
- 28:39Speaker 2: use it or lose it. I needed that, do you
- 28:42Speaker 2: do You remember when we had a budget and they
- 28:44Speaker 2: put up that huge tent that Bill Lewis put up
- 28:48Speaker 2: that unbelievable tent and had to pay like eight thousand
- 28:50Speaker 2: dollars for it in the front where we had some event.
- 28:53Speaker 3: You go, why attend?
- 28:54Speaker 2: He goes, because I had a budget for it and
- 28:56Speaker 2: I've got to use it otherwise I'm not going to get.
- 28:59Speaker 3: That in my budget next year for a promotion happens.
- 29:03Speaker 3: The weirdest way to do business, isn't it?
- 29:05Speaker 5: Well, the military has been doing that for years because
- 29:08Speaker 5: that's the law. That's the way that the government runs.
- 29:11Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot of businesses they use you use it
- 29:14Speaker 4: or lose it and then you don't get it next year.
- 29:17Speaker 2: And right for all right, I think I think that's it. Guys,
- 29:21Speaker 2: We're we're done with the news. Let me see what
- 29:23Speaker 2: the next story if it's worth doing. Ah yeah, the
- 29:25Speaker 2: Pope is saying, oh please please stop fighting.
- 29:29Speaker 5: Okay, what about the Dodger Stadium.
- 29:30Speaker 3: On I think, what's the Dodger Stadium.
- 29:33Speaker 2: It's the last one, so oh yeah, Dodger Stadium, Yes, Amy,
- 29:36Speaker 2: go ahead and do that.
- 29:37Speaker 5: You know, Dodger Stadium is one of only eight ballparks
- 29:41Speaker 5: in Major League Baseball that has not sold its naming rights,
- 29:45Speaker 5: and that's sort of staying the same. But now they're
- 29:48Speaker 5: selling the field. So they grew up with a deal,
- 29:52Speaker 5: a sponsorship agreement with a Japanese clothing brand, Unicloe, and
- 29:59Speaker 5: there's so it's going to be the unique low field
- 30:01Speaker 5: at Dodgers Stadium if the deal is signed, similar to
- 30:05Speaker 5: what they did at Memorial Coliseum where they wanted to
- 30:07Speaker 5: just stay Memorial Coliseum, but now it's the United Airlines Field.
- 30:10Speaker 5: At Memorial Colisseum.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Oh, similar to what we do here at iHeart. How
- 30:14Speaker 2: many newsrooms are named temporarily for a sponsor. Oh you
- 30:20Speaker 2: today and then tomorrow, there's a different name for the newsroom.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Every time I go to the Zelman's Fresh Breath bathroom
- 30:29Speaker 4: at KFI, I just I come out feeling fresh.
- 30:34Speaker 2: All right, one quick story I'm going to share with you.
- 30:38Speaker 2: I see we're reading late, but I want to share
- 30:40Speaker 2: this with you. My kids went to a junior high
- 30:44Speaker 2: and of course the parents are really told they're really
- 30:47Speaker 2: hustled for money. And when I was asked for money,
- 30:51Speaker 2: I gave it and I asked for the Handle family
- 30:54Speaker 2: plaque over the urinals.
- 30:56Speaker 3: In the boys room.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Absolutely this year in all provided by the Handle family.
- 31:02Speaker 2: They wouldn't let me do it. I still had to
- 31:04Speaker 2: put the money in. Yeah, bastards. Okay, we're done. Coming up,
- 31:09Speaker 2: the President invokes emergency powers for the California Pipeline.
- 31:14Speaker 3: How is that possible? And is there a fight? You bet?
- 31:18Speaker 3: KFI am six for you've been listening to the Bill
- 31:21Speaker 3: Handle Show.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Catch my show Monday through Friday six am to nine am,
- 31:26Speaker 2: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
