- 0:18Eric: And, more Well, hello Sydney.
- 0:29Sydney: Hello, how's it going?
- 0:31Eric: You know it's going pretty well.
- 0:33Eric: It's very, very nice to have Sydney in the house.
- 0:36Eric: Yes, so Sydney, anything new and exciting going on for you?
- 0:42Eric: You haven't been around much last few weeks.
- 0:46Sydney: I'm so sorry.
- 0:47Sydney: You know what it's been.
- 0:49Sydney: It's been crazy, and you know all about this because I've talked to you about this.
- 0:55Sydney: Well, first it was the house and you were like, oh my God.
- 0:58Sydney: And now I'm in my, I am in my second trimester of pregnancy, so I can say to everyone yeah, I was, I'm pregnant.
- 1:10Eric: So I was Mystery solved.
- 1:13Sydney: Yes, I've.
- 1:14Sydney: Well, maybe our, maybe some of the listeners already probably.
- 1:19Eric: The mystery of Sydney's absence.
- 1:22Sydney: I had to take, like August, off completely because the nausea was just terrible and it's still kind of around here and there.
- 1:31Sydney: But Eric has been gracious enough to hold down the fort and not give me any trouble for being a slacker.
- 1:42Eric: You know what, though, I do have to say?
- 1:44Eric: Sydney.
- 1:44Eric: I had two kids.
- 1:46Eric: I had no nausea whatsoever, I had a baby.
- 1:52Sydney: So you?
- 1:52Eric: you didn't have it at all when when they needed money or anything In their teen years and now they cause a little bit of nausea, but yes, and those pregnancies.
- 2:06Eric: I thought it was kind of easy.
- 2:07Sydney: So I don't, I don't know, I don't know what's going on with you, but yeah, I'll let you slide on this, but no, very, very excited, very excited, I'm excited, I'm excited, I'm excited, I'm excited, I'm excited.
- 2:20Sydney: Hopefully we're on the mend and I won't be missing much.
- 2:26Sydney: But you know how that goes.
- 2:28Sydney: And also totally unrelated, but I just wanted to bring up to you, since bring this up to you, since you are also a huge fan.
- 2:36Sydney: But Spirit by Joel is celebrating its 25th anniversary, so that album my hands are small.
- 2:44Sydney: It's a little bit of a big deal.
- 2:48Eric: It's a little bit of a big deal.
- 2:49Eric: It came out 25 years ago, so it does make me feel a little old, half a lifetime ago for me, but oh well, yes, it is so good it actually came on and I don't want to say it caused a fight between my wife and myself.
- 3:05Eric: But what was it?
- 3:07Eric: Was it Forget?
- 3:10Eric: What song actually came on.
- 3:11Eric: I was like, oh, I'm sorry.
- 3:13Eric: I was like, you know, I was like what's the matter with me?
- 3:17Eric: I was like, oh, I'm sorry.
- 3:17Eric: I was in the radio station and I it came on and I stopped on and I was like, all right, I'm good, I'm good.
- 3:23Sydney: And then she started surfing again.
- 3:24Eric: I'm like wait what?
- 3:24Eric: So I went back and I'm like, yeah, no, we're, we're going back to jewel, I think it was.
- 3:28Sydney: What was the song you were meant?
- 3:31Eric: for me.
- 3:31Eric: Is that the actual song title?
- 3:32Eric: Oh, there was that one.
- 3:34Eric: And then there was like foolish game Right, but I think that was the one that was on the radio when I I was like what oh?
- 3:43Eric: No, was the OG hit, who will?
- 3:45Sydney: save your soul.
- 3:45Sydney: Yes, yeah, okay, all right.
- 3:48Sydney: And then it was you remember me?
- 3:50Eric: Okay, well, now we've got it all figured out.
- 3:52Eric: Yes, so I definitely have a More appreciation for Jewel than my wife does, but my wife's big deaf leper, so you know, kind of like our TV watching isn't the same.
- 4:03Eric: Oh, get this, I'm at work comes up to me and he made some like hallmark joke to me and I'm like, wait, what's going on?
- 4:13Eric: Who's telling you what?
- 4:15Eric: And then he's always said, oh yeah, shannon told me about your podcast.
- 4:21Eric: And so then I went over to Shannon I'm like Shannon, you giving me downloads, what's going on?
- 4:26Eric: And she said she just like, coincidentally, found us.
- 4:30Eric: So I'm now like the talk of my office with my.
- 4:34Eric: Of course, it's not like my team knows about it, but and it's probably not the biggest secret since I do, you know, I have hallmark on my TV in my office, you know, half the time.
- 4:47Eric: So today was a pretty good day.
- 4:49Eric: It was Julie Gonzalo day.
- 4:50Eric: It had the Ottoman Vermont I think it is the one with her and Benjamiers, and then the oh crap, what was the other one?
- 5:05Sydney: It's a pumpkin pie one.
- 5:06Eric: No, that was on the other day.
- 5:07Eric: Oh darn, I forget.
- 5:11Eric: It was like some romance.
- 5:13Eric: It's when when Chris McNally oh, she's a baker, that's what it is and Chris McNally is like the doctor who comes by her boyfriend.
- 5:21Sydney: It's the Valentine's one, right?
- 5:23Sydney: It's like it was from the.
- 5:24Sydney: I think it was from a Valentine's set, maybe but so then that one came on.
- 5:30Eric: It was background for me because I was having to actually work, but yeah, so I was seeing Chris McNally, who's a fine guy, but I don't know, he just does not seem like brain surgeon kind of guy to me.
- 5:44Sydney: I'm excited.
- 5:45Eric: I know we're supposed to talk about our mysteries, but I am excited for that.
- 5:49Eric: Was it like two two bedroom, one bathroom one, or three bedroom one, two bathroom, one ghost?
- 5:55Eric: Oh, that one looks pretty fun to me.
- 5:59Sydney: Yeah, I'm behind in my movie watching, as you know, so I need to catch up on that.
- 6:07Eric: Okay, Well, speaking of catching up, it's like they released Hallmark released their Christmas lineup, but for us it's Christmas already because we have the next four weeks Mystery, mystery, mystery, mystery.
- 6:24Eric: So super exciting.
- 6:27Eric: So today, what do you say?
- 6:29Eric: We talk about the upcoming mysteries and give our like little preview thoughts.
- 6:35Sydney: Yeah, I would love to.
- 6:39Eric: All right, well, one on all.
- 6:40Eric: Kick things off with a little description of the.
- 6:46Eric: What is it?
- 6:47Eric: The haunted harmony mysteries murder in G, major Dun dun dun.
- 6:54Eric: So in this one, a new teacher at an Irish prep school is shocked to find a ghost haunting her house.
- 7:03Eric: She decides to help solve his murder in the house in the hopes that it will allow him to move on.
- 7:11Eric: And this stars Tamara, maury House Lee risk, good old Irish name here Ristard Cooper and Marco Grasini.
- 7:22Eric: So I have to say this is one that I was like when I first just saw, like, yeah, whatever, whatever, whatever.
- 7:31Eric: And then, andrea, when she was filling in for you, she saw the preview and she's like, oh, it looks really cute.
- 7:40Eric: And now that I've seen the preview, I have to agree have you got to see it yet?
- 7:45Sydney: I have to say the same, like when we were talking about it just a little bit on the podcast before the last one, just really quick, I was like I don't know about this kind of silly.
- 7:58Sydney: But after I saw the promo and I saw her outfits just a glimmer of her outfits, they were spectacular.
- 8:07Sydney: Her coat selection Amazing.
- 8:11Sydney: It's giving me a little whimsical, it's giving me, you know, irish countryside.
- 8:16Sydney: It's giving me a little bit of presence of love, if you remember her style, yeah, which I like that, and the setting, oh my God, Did they film in Ireland?
- 8:26Sydney: Do you know?
- 8:28Eric: I'm pretty sure they did.
- 8:29Eric: Well, you can't fake Ireland in British Columbia, like you can fake a lot of you know North America or whatever, but you can't fake Ireland.
- 8:39Eric: Well, I guess they.
- 8:40Eric: I guess they faked Paris and Um, what was it Right?
- 8:47Sydney: but they didn't show it really Right.
- 8:50Eric: Oh no, summer Villa, that's the one where they faked.
- 8:53Sydney: I guess South of France is probably easier.
- 8:56Eric: But yeah, no, they got to be over in Ireland because there's too much sweeping coastline and stuff like that.
- 9:03Sydney: And Marco in that turtleneck blazer combo, very nice Shout out.
- 9:11Eric: So if anyone doesn't know who Marco is, he was just recently in Heart.
- 9:14Eric: Was it Hearts in the Game with Aaron Cahill.
- 9:18Sydney: Yes, or he's from he's from Virgin River to Fennie.
- 9:23Eric: He's another one of the Virgin River guys.
- 9:25Sydney: I feel like he's a little bit of an.
- 9:26Eric: There's an overlap between Hallmark and Virgin River watchers, so Well, there's should be, because half the cast of Virgin River is in Hallmark movies these days.
- 9:39Sydney: Oh my gosh.
- 9:39Sydney: Um, I did find, so I also watched, like they.
- 9:43Sydney: They showed a sneak peek and I did watch that too and I I didn't love that part, just because, okay, she's realizing there's a ghost and she's like screaming and stuff, but like in a ridiculous way and I thought it was like a little bit too campy.
- 10:04Sydney: But I'm like.
- 10:05Eric: Oh, I definitely think this one has a little slapstick ness.
- 10:09Sydney: Yeah, I was, I'm.
- 10:11Sydney: I don't love like the campiness with the ghost aspect because I kind of feel like I want it to be a little bit more mysterious, but either way, I'm sure I'm going to love it.
- 10:23Eric: So yeah, I would.
- 10:25Eric: I would.
- 10:25Eric: I mean, obviously we don't know, we haven't seen it yet, we just seen, you know, 31 seconds, but I definitely think this is a comedic Now, granted, it could end up being totally serious and drama, and why we, why we, you know, think it's.
- 10:43Eric: It's a campy ghost.
- 10:44Eric: It could actually end up being kind of a spooky ghost.
- 10:46Eric: I don't know.
- 10:47Eric: I'm pretty sure this is going to be a little more yet of the fun comedic type mystery.
- 10:54Sydney: Yeah.
- 10:55Eric: It is based on a book series.
- 10:56Eric: If I had known that ahead of time, I would have probably dove in and and read one of them.
- 11:03Eric: Just I like to do that for when we know that these mysteries are based off the book.
- 11:09Eric: But I didn't really start, you know, researching it until yesterday there and I was like, oh, can't speed read.
- 11:19Sydney: There's still time.
- 11:19Sydney: You can do it post watching.
- 11:22Eric: Yes, Well, no, because I've gotten a little.
- 11:26Eric: So my daughter moved to Boston and so she's far away.
- 11:29Eric: So one of the things we're doing is we're doing a little book club and we're doing the Hannah Swenson series.
- 11:37Eric: So we're right now reading the first Hannah Swenson book together.
- 11:40Eric: She reads it on the subway and the way to work and I read well, I shouldn't say I read it, I listened to it while I'm walking the dogs in the morning.
- 11:48Eric: So a little fun way to stay connected.
- 11:51Sydney: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:53Sydney: Well, should we dive into the next one?
- 11:57Eric: Let's go.
- 11:58Eric: Where are we going to go?
- 11:59Eric: I say we have to go somewhere mysterious.
- 12:03Sydney: This is somewhere we were foretold about, eric.
- 12:06Sydney: We were foretold about this place, yes, by the man, the myth, the legend, john Christian Plummer.
- 12:17Sydney: He gave us a hot tip that he was writing Mystery Island.
- 12:22Sydney: And what do you know?
- 12:23Sydney: That's the next movie, mystery Island, where a London police psychiatrist, dr Amelia Priestley, needs to take a relaxing break from her stressful job.
- 12:36Sydney: So her wealthy friend invites her to Mystery Island, an immersive, murder mystery themed resort hosting a special retreat for the original investors.
- 12:46Sydney: As the mystery game begins, tragedy strikes when the resort's reclusive founder is murdered.
- 12:55Sydney: Amelia partners with local detective Jason Trent to investigate.
- 13:01Sydney: This is starring Elizabeth Henstridge and Charlie Weber.
- 13:08Eric: Now you've seen the preview right With the I have.
- 13:13Eric: Is the guy with the then the eye patch, the one who gets murdered Like?
- 13:18Eric: Am I guessing?
- 13:19Sydney: I think that's the eccentric rich man if I ever saw.
- 13:24Eric: I tell you what.
- 13:25Eric: As soon as I saw the eye patch, well, we knew we were in, just because you know, with Jonathan teasing us all along.
- 13:33Eric: But once I saw the eye patch guy, I'm like I am in.
- 13:37Eric: This is, this is beautiful, this is awesome.
- 13:41Sydney: Yeah, it's definitely giving like old like feel to it, like the seventies or something.
- 13:48Sydney: There's some ridiculous like rich man on an island, but I do enjoy Elizabeth's British accent.
- 13:58Eric: Oh yes, oh yes.
- 14:00Eric: It's funny because in the English accent usually I don't think of as being like all that, like sexy or anything.
- 14:09Sydney: Yeah.
- 14:10Eric: Hers is good.
- 14:12Sydney: Yes.
- 14:12Sydney: So I don't know.
- 14:15Sydney: I'm looking forward to it, obviously because the writing will be great.
- 14:19Sydney: We don't know if the acting will be, but you know, let's hope so.
- 14:25Eric: So she was in.
- 14:25Eric: Was it Christmas at the Plaza?
- 14:28Eric: And I really liked that one with her so Okay.
- 14:31Eric: And then Charlie Weber dudes from how to get away with murder, so a lot of people liked that.
- 14:39Eric: My wife really liked that show, yeah, so he seems to be able to bring it.
- 14:44Eric: That's promising.
- 14:46Eric: Yeah, I like that it.
- 14:47Eric: Just by looking at it too in those previous, it sort of seems kind of grandiose to me as well.
- 14:54Eric: It's not like our usual in the you know the little town with the bakery and everyone knows each other kind of thing.
- 15:00Eric: You know, this is an exotic island, I think.
- 15:04Eric: So the power ball is up to like I don't know, 760 million or something like that.
- 15:09Eric: I think I'm going to win it and build my own mystery island.
- 15:14Sydney: Great.
- 15:16Eric: Will you come visit, of course.
- 15:17Eric: How else are?
- 15:18Sydney: we going to.
- 15:19Sydney: Well, I guess we could do our podcast like normal, but yes, and if I get murdered, I expect you to solve it.
- 15:24Sydney: Yeah, I'll bring JCP with me.
- 15:27Sydney: Okay, it'll give them great ideas.
- 15:31Eric: And Brennan Elliott will.
- 15:32Eric: He'll have to bring him along.
- 15:34Sydney: Oh my God, did you see him in the Christmas promo?
- 15:36Eric: Yes, he's coming out again.
- 15:41Sydney: You look so cute and Nicky looked so cute.
- 15:44Sydney: Oh my God, they were in like a little candy shop.
- 15:46Sydney: It's so cute.
- 15:49Eric: Yeah, it's.
- 15:50Eric: I think I don't know if they've ever been in a movie before together, but they were in like the gift of peace, or so, oh right.
- 15:57Eric: How do I not remember that one?
- 15:59Sydney: It's a.
- 15:59Sydney: You watch a lot of movies there.
- 16:01Sydney: It's okay.
- 16:02Eric: I didn't like that one, and it wasn't.
- 16:05Eric: It was only because I didn't like the premise of it him being like the counselor and hitting on one of his counselors.
- 16:13Sydney: Yeah, I had.
- 16:14Sydney: I had a little power.
- 16:16Eric: That's one of the things I in many Hallmark movies when they do that, that I just for some reason don't.
- 16:22Eric: I just don't like that.
- 16:23Eric: So.
- 16:24Sydney: Yeah, I totally.
- 16:27Eric: But that does kind of kind of on me out.
- 16:30Eric: Yes.
- 16:30Eric: So, yes, this one, I'd say, between all the the grandiose-ness, it seems like there's a whole bevy of characters, Bevy Some destination.
- 16:41Eric: You know it's our favorite guy there, John Christian Palmer, writing it.
- 16:46Eric: So yeah, this looks, this looks exciting.
- 16:50Sydney: Do you think he got like a little side role, like he's a local man, like bird watching in the trees?
- 16:59Eric: If he knew how to play his cards right, he would have.
- 17:02Eric: You know we are talking to him, so we'll be doing a little bonus episode with an interview with him.
- 17:09Eric: He's fortunate enough where, despite the strike, he's allowed to talk about the movie, so we can ask him if he, if he is in the in the cause, like that little shorts dude who was from the he's the one who inspired Crossword.
- 17:26Eric: He would always make cameos in his and then Nancy Grace.
- 17:30Eric: And so without Roker and oh yeah, Al Roker morning show.
- 17:34Sydney: Maybe it's because they're like famous, though.
- 17:37Eric: So Well, John's famous to us.
- 17:41Sydney: I yes, People were his fan club, awesome.
- 17:46Eric: Then that whole mystery, one on one Legion.
- 17:50Sydney: So, yes, okay, well, speaking of the of the small town, vibe and the Baker, where are we going?
- 17:59Eric: Book I'm going.
- 18:00Eric: I'm going back to, we're going back to Lake Eden.
- 18:03Eric: And you know what I did?
- 18:05Eric: Solve a mystery because there's some of the inconsistency between Lake Eden and Eden Lake.
- 18:10Eric: And now that I'm reading the first, the first book, which is like the chocolate chip crunch murder or something I'm reading and I don't even know what it's called, but it's the chocolate chip crunch but in there she does, she explains it, and the town is called Lake Eden and the Lake is Eden Lake.
- 18:31Eric: So I think that's why sometimes we see Eden Lake, sometimes we see Lake Eden and people are starting to get confused, thinking how much just couldn't get it right.
- 18:42Eric: I think they're just smarter than we were and totally got it right.
- 18:45Eric: So there you go.
- 18:46Eric: Mystery explained, all right.
- 18:51Eric: So let's talk about Hannah Swenson and zest for death.
- 18:56Eric: What a good.
- 18:58Eric: This one isn't a book, though, at least I couldn't find it in the whole list.
- 19:03Eric: So if it is someone, please tell us.
- 19:05Eric: But when I went through and looked at all the titles I did not see zest for death.
- 19:10Eric: But they say the real estate business is deadly.
- 19:15Eric: But no one is more surprised than Hannah Swenson when her mother, dolores, who we love, discovers the dead body of the homeowner and a regular customer of the cookie jar while house hunting for her sister Michelle.
- 19:32Eric: Hannah is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery and is convinced that the prime suspect Mike and the sheriff are focusing on isn't the culprit.
- 19:47Sydney: Imagine that home going against.
- 19:48Eric: Mike.
- 19:49Sydney: Here we go again.
- 19:51Eric: Yes, Okay, hannah.
- 19:54Eric: Sleuthing becomes a family affair when Dolores becomes a problem and even her sister, andrea, who pays an unexpected visit to take part in the investigation.
- 20:07Eric: As Hannah uncovers clues, she slowly rules out suspects and has led to the shocking truth about the killer's identity.
- 20:17Eric: And of course, we know the stars Alison Sweeney, cameron Matheson and Barbara Niven.
- 20:23Eric: But who's coming to visit?
- 20:26Sydney: Yeah, Andrea.
- 20:28Eric: I think everybody in the plan is excited about that, because if you ever look at any of the comments and like IMDB reviews, everyone's like where's Andrea, where's Andrea.
- 20:39Sydney: Yeah, that's what I always say.
- 20:41Eric: But we did grow to like Michelle.
- 20:43Sydney: Yeah, she grew on me the last.
- 20:45Eric: But we are excited to get Andrea back and wait.
- 20:50Eric: Something happened at the end of the last one, I don't remember.
- 20:53Eric: Yeah, something happened.
- 20:58Sydney: I turned the TV off and I never wanted to see Hannah Swanson again.
- 21:04Eric: And I said you go girl.
- 21:08Sydney: Don't make a pregnant lady mad air.
- 21:10Eric: I know that was our one fight we've had.
- 21:15Sydney: Yes.
- 21:16Eric: Camp Hannah or no, or team Hannah or anti Hannah.
- 21:21Sydney: Oh gosh, that's probably why the sister grew on me so much, because I couldn't stand Hannah.
- 21:28Eric: That's good, that could be.
- 21:31Sydney: So we're going away from Hannah now.
- 21:33Sydney: I'm gonna leave Hannah and we're gonna go talk about another cook who I really like Wait before we go.
- 21:39Eric: One question Do you think they resolve and get together or not?
- 21:44Sydney: I don't think they do, because it's acting like Andrea's coming for some quick, specific reason and not to be part of our wedding.
- 21:56Eric: No, oh, I see Not to be part of our wedding Okay.
- 21:59Sydney: You know, it just doesn't give wedding bells, but they have to drag on this thing as long as they can, which is obnoxious.
- 22:08Eric: So by the way, in the books, norman I've discovered is like 20 years older than her and balding like a comb over kind of thing.
- 22:18Eric: Oh God, so very different than our Norman.
- 22:21Eric: Okay, let's leave like Eden, because I know, yeah, we're leaving.
- 22:25Eric: I know you're not a fan of Hannah these days.
- 22:27Eric: Maybe this one will make you fall back in love with her.
- 22:30Sydney: We are going all the way to.
- 22:34Eric: Let's go all the way.
- 22:37Sydney: To the best caterer in town.
- 22:38Sydney: We are going to talk about curious caterer fatal vows.
- 22:44Sydney: When Goldie agreed to cater Tom's ex Jessamines elaborate wedding, she didn't expect a dead groom and a missing bride.
- 22:55Sydney: Zilla would bring her together with Tom again to catch a killer and find Jess.
- 23:02Sydney: Jess isn't Jessamine.
- 23:04Sydney: Starring Mickey Deloach and Andrew Walker and, of course, jcin.
- 23:11Eric: JC, JC.
- 23:13Sydney: But I'm like not loving how it says here, like would bring her together with Tom again, like what.
- 23:20Sydney: They haven't talked since the last mystery.
- 23:23Sydney: Are you kidding me?
- 23:24Sydney: What's going on with these people?
- 23:28Eric: And then what Like.
- 23:30Eric: Why is she getting back together with Tom if she's doing her wedding?
- 23:36Eric: I don't know, and our friend Jonathan did not write this one.
- 23:42Eric: It was another writer for this episode.
- 23:45Sydney: Yes.
- 23:46Eric: So I don't know, what are you thinking?
- 23:51Sydney: So from the promo stills and the previews that I've seen, everyone looks great.
- 23:57Sydney: It seems like there's a new detective in town that wants Tom out of the way.
- 24:01Sydney: I love that Goldie has decorated the clue board with flowers and vines.
- 24:07Sydney: Goldie and Marla look great at that party.
- 24:10Sydney: I'm loving the Emerald and Navy Flawless hallmark lady curls.
- 24:15Sydney: Oh my God, they just do their hair so great.
- 24:18Sydney: It looks like they've put Goldie in the perfect olive-hued trench coat.
- 24:23Sydney: And also, did you notice that I don't know who she is in the grand scheme of things, but the friend in picture?
- 24:33Sydney: Perfect, who was like a wannabe actress.
- 24:36Eric: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 24:37Sydney: She's in one of the promo stills with Nikki Deloche.
- 24:41Eric: She's not Jessamine.
- 24:43Sydney: No, I mean Jessamine was someone else.
- 24:47Eric: Okay.
- 24:49Sydney: And this one, I think, is like well, could be Jessamine's sister, because she looks a little bit like Jessamine, but she's with Nikki and kind of like I wanna say they're by a food tent and they're trying to eavesdrop on people.
- 25:07Eric: I'm looking right now through the picture and you're not kidding about the hair.
- 25:11Eric: They are rocking hair in this one.
- 25:15Sydney: Yeah, perfecto, but I just love that olive trench coat.
- 25:22Sydney: They were really given the mystery vibe there.
- 25:25Eric: Yeah, I'm looking at her right now and, yeah, maybe it is.
- 25:28Eric: She kind of looks enough like her.
- 25:30Eric: You're right, she could be a sister.
- 25:33Sydney: Yeah, but I was happy to see her again and I'm always happy to see her husband, which, by the way, he's in some new Netflix horror movie with Julie Bowen from Modern Family.
- 25:49Eric: All right, I'm also looking at the olive trench coat man.
- 25:53Eric: We gotta figure out who the stylist is for this, because they nailed man Goldie.
- 25:59Eric: Every outfit is just fantastic.
- 26:05Sydney: Yeah, I feel like it's up a notch.
- 26:08Sydney: It's definitely up a notch from the first one, but it's up a notch even from last.
- 26:15Eric: Which was up a notch.
- 26:18Sydney: It keeps getting better.
- 26:20Eric: Yeah, yeah, it must be the power in Nikki's getting like more budget for this one or something, yeah, but because, yeah, they gotta be spending some money on her clothes.
- 26:33Eric: Now, what are you thinking of her hair?
- 26:35Eric: Cause she's definitely has, like she's got kind of a sweat bang, but she's also got like the straight bang thing going.
- 26:41Sydney: Well, she's had the bangs, kind of go in there, they've been there.
- 26:46Eric: They've been like kind of to the side, whereas this one they're kind of going straight and some of the like in the promo, some of them are straight.
- 26:54Sydney: I think I've been seeing them a lot on her normal Instagram, though, so that's probably where I'm getting it from, but, like you like it.
- 27:00Sydney: Oh yeah, it looks good on her.
- 27:02Sydney: I love a bang.
- 27:03Sydney: I'd be rocking one myself, but I just can't be bothered to take care of it in the morning right now, and I'm puking.
- 27:11Eric: All right.
- 27:12Eric: Do we think that Mason is getting dialed in and going to graduate from being incompetent funny to just being funny?
- 27:21Sydney: No, mason's gonna step in it because he's gonna be with this new cop I don't know who this new detective is that it has it out for Tom and is trying to arrest Tom, and Mason is gonna be like, oh, I don't know how to help him.
- 27:38Sydney: Goldie, help.
- 27:41Eric: I don't know what to do, yeah.
- 27:45Sydney: But we do.
- 27:48Eric: As we said, we're talking to Jonathan.
- 27:48Eric: We are going to be talking to JC again before this, so we can ask JC a ton of these questions about the, the fashion In this one Cause this is, this definitely looks style I'm I'm excited because I like how it's progressed.
- 28:03Eric: I'm excited, I'm excited, I'm excited, I'm excited, I'm excited because I like how it's progressed.
- 28:10Eric: And the first Was sort of here's the character.
- 28:14Eric: As a second, I think we got to know him and just their, their chemistry was so much better between them.
- 28:20Eric: I'm not talking like the steam meter chemistry, which did increase, I think, but the, just they were just clicking, and so I'm hoping that it continues.
- 28:31Eric: You know, it's a little bit of a curve ball with a different writer, but I'm hoping that it continues.
- 28:36Eric: But I have to say it's like Tom being the, the, the suspect, I don't know.
- 28:45Eric: I don't know about that one.
- 28:48Sydney: I feel like.
- 28:48Sydney: Slippery slow to get her husband out of jail.
- 28:51Sydney: Now she's got to get her love interest out of jail.
- 28:54Sydney: It's kind of like who's next on the list?
- 28:57Eric: JC I mean she's next Marla.
- 29:01Eric: Marla totally looks like she would be.
- 29:03Eric: She would kill somebody like it'd be a who ate the last, who ate the last scone.
- 29:09Eric: Dun, dun dun.
- 29:13Sydney: Wow, it was a hard scone, yes.
- 29:15Eric: So Okay, all right.
- 29:18Eric: So Four mysteries in four weeks.
- 29:23Eric: There's not one that I'm not excited for.
- 29:26Eric: It seems like there's one that you're a little less excited for, but I'm excited for all four, and it's funny because I've never been the hugest Hannah.
- 29:39Eric: I've no Hannah Swanson, but I was just sort of put in the middle.
- 29:41Eric: But, like I say, based on that cliffhanger ending, I'm I'm down Because I want her, I want her to be like no, no, I'm moving on from you.
- 29:54Eric: I don't think that will happen, though.
- 29:57Sydney: No.
- 29:59Eric: I don't think that will happen.
- 30:00Eric: And you know what, though, while we talked about those four great Mysteries in a row, that's kind of our Christmas present.
- 30:10Sydney: We're getting a real Christmas present, aren't we?
- 30:13Eric: Yeah, supposedly we are.
- 30:15Eric: Yes, it's called Mystery at Missalto Lane, which is also a book.
- 30:20Eric: It's a book about the stars.
- 30:31Sydney: Some dude who we just kind of are excited to see in a mystery.
- 30:33Sydney: Yeah, and I think you actually said this was something you specifically wanted to see.
- 30:38Eric: Yes, victor Webster, the like, he's just the man's man of all mark.
- 30:46Eric: I don't know, that's me, I don't know you.
- 30:48Eric: What do you think?
- 30:50Sydney: I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, from the sounds of it he's going to be, I would say, a local handyman and I have to say I'm not bad about that there's like See him in his overalls.
- 31:03Sydney: Yeah, I just, with his hammer and his work, get up and I don't know.
- 31:16Sydney: And then Erica Sarah.
- 31:17Sydney: I have a lot of thoughts.
- 31:20Sydney: I'm not sure what it's called, but I think I was a fan of her with that name.
- 31:24Sydney: I did a, I did see it and I kept.
- 31:29Sydney: My first thought was oh my God, Erica during.
- 31:30Sydney: But that was not what it said.
- 31:32Eric: So but that would have been cute.
- 31:35Eric: Would have been cute.
- 31:35Eric: She was using Lucifer With it looked like a for me, Garcia, what is she doing вместе With there?
- 31:44Eric: But she's an attractive.
- 31:47Eric: She's an attractive woman.
- 31:48Eric: So we are excited to see Victor come in and they I don't think they've ever done an actual like they did the one with Paul Campbell and and tomorrow where it was the Something about the Santa Claus Lane or something like that.
- 32:08Eric: It was kind of it was kind of a mystery, but it really wasn't a mystery like a Santa Claus stakeout.
- 32:14Eric: Yeah, that, yeah, yeah like that.
- 32:17Eric: Um Like I don't know.
- 32:20Eric: I guess they.
- 32:21Eric: That was kind of there, but this one seems like it's an actual mystery.
- 32:25Eric: So yeah we'll see that's exciting.
- 32:28Eric: It is exciting.
- 32:29Eric: So that's gonna be One of the I think it's nine of the Hallmark movies and mysteries shows that are out.
- 32:39Eric: So Now do you, do you get into all the, the Christmas ones?
- 32:43Eric: You do, right I?
- 32:45Sydney: do, but Honestly, sometimes because I think last year and I don't know if it's like this every year, but Because I can't remember but there was a new one on every day.
- 32:56Sydney: It was Friday, saturday, sunday, and that's kind of just.
- 33:00Eric: I think they're run there, like I know, some of the weeks in the core thing.
- 33:03Eric: There was two on Saturday.
- 33:06Sydney: Yeah and.
- 33:07Sydney: I just kind of have to look at them and I'm like, okay, this one sounds like it's up my alley, so I'm just gonna watch well, you have a responsibility now.
- 33:20Eric: You're watching for two.
- 33:21Sydney: I mean then maybe I'll pick a second one.
- 33:26Sydney: But At last year it was usually like if I thought I liked something, I'd watch it, and then if I heard like people talking a lot about a certain movie, Then I'd watch that one too, because Seem like it was good.
- 33:42Eric: Yeah, I'm excited the lineup might have read it.
- 33:45Eric: I want to dive into a little bit more of it, but it seems like there's a lot of fresh faces on there.
- 33:51Eric: Yeah which is exciting.
- 33:53Eric: There's also Catherine Bell and James Denton good, good witch pairing there and they're in a movie together.
- 34:03Eric: So I'm super excited for that.
- 34:06Eric: I loved him in in good witch Right, the only one I had.
- 34:10Eric: Well, there's two of them that I kind of had an issue with.
- 34:13Eric: One of them had what's his name.
- 34:18Eric: He was just in in the movie Recently he was in.
- 34:22Eric: It's a wonderful, the wonderful time of the year with Brooke Burns.
- 34:25Eric: Imagine that I mentioned Brooke Burns, but his Warren Christie, that's what is.
- 34:33Eric: He's like 12 or 13 years older than his co-star and I don't know, it seems like Maybe, maybe I'm just too too.
- 34:43Eric: That's just a little too stretch in it.
- 34:48Eric: Yeah, we're getting into like like 50s territory or something so I wish they would have, just like I like both of the, both of the actors.
- 34:59Eric: I just wish they would have paired them with Somebody maybe a little closer in age.
- 35:04Sydney: Isn't that what I was saying to you?
- 35:06Sydney: Like, whenever that was?
- 35:08Sydney: I said, like why not just make people age appropriate?
- 35:12Sydney: Why are you always trying to make them younger than they are?
- 35:16Sydney: At some point.
- 35:18Sydney: It's not believable.
- 35:19Sydney: And you know, as a hallmark lover, I can only put on the rose glasses for so long until I'm like oh yeah, my husband came in here and tore this apart.
- 35:31Eric: And when you're like when you're getting close to 50 and you're still finding love for the first time with your high school Sweetheart and yeah, and there might be a chance you guys are gonna settle down, have babies.
- 35:43Sydney: What?
- 35:44Eric: Yeah, yeah, and then no, no maters.
- 35:48Eric: Also, I think he's like 10 years apart from his co-star and Another one who you know, I like him fine.
- 35:57Eric: I just wish they would have squeezed him a little closer and in age.
- 36:02Eric: But yeah, other than that, because I'm really excited, because there's a lot of, lot of fresh faces, yeah, and I'm wondering if I had to do with, because they're also all Canadian, so I'm wondering if I had to do with the strike.
- 36:13Eric: So they just had to get more conucks going.
- 36:18Sydney: I gotta do what you gotta do.
- 36:20Eric: But what we have is four weeks of mysteries.
- 36:22Eric: So we will be reviewing the mysteries after they air.
- 36:26Eric: We do have, like I say, the bonus Interview with John Christian plumber.
- 36:32Eric: That will be next week, and we also will have at least one with JC.
- 36:36Eric: There are certain actors who are Are allowed and other actors aren't, so maybe they can solve the the strike and we'll be able to get some more.
- 36:48Eric: So we'll see, but we have a busy, a busy month ahead, so I hope you stay feeling well.
- 36:55Eric: I'm very excited to have you back and Onto murder in Major G or whatever that was G major harmony murder.
- 37:10Eric: Harmony, mysteries, murder and G major.
- 37:13Eric: Harmony if I could do an accent.
- 37:17Eric: I do an Irish accent.
- 37:19Eric: Sure me, tim Burrs, that's my attempt.
- 37:21Eric: I'll eat lucky.
- 37:23Eric: Oh, you know, I'm eating my blueberries now because it is the season, but maybe I'll switch and I'll eat some lucky charms over the weekend just to celebrate it.
- 37:32Sydney: Well, they're magically delicious, so enjoy that.
- 37:37Eric: And on that note, as always, it was wonderful talking to me.
- 37:42Sydney: It was great talking to you, eric.
- 37:43Sydney: I look forward to recapping these beautiful mysteries with you.
- 37:49Eric: Have a good night, you too Bye.
