Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're gonna get started with
• 0:07
Speaker 1: the Sarah Kellen testimony that she gave before Congress back
• 0:12
Speaker 1: in May. And like usual, there's a whole accounting of
• 0:17
Speaker 1: who's at the interview. We're gonna skip that. We're gonna
• 0:20
Speaker 1: start right away with the questions. Miss Brygnac is doing
• 0:26
Speaker 1: the questioning and Sarah Kellen is doing the answering. When
• 0:29
Speaker 1: I say question, it's Miss Brignac, and when I say answer,
• 0:34
Speaker 1: that's Sarah Kellen Vickers. And if somebody else jumps in,
• 0:37
Speaker 1: I'll notate that. So let's dive in, Miss Brynac. We're
• 0:43
Speaker 1: ready to go on the record. This is a transcribed
• 0:45

• 3:42
Speaker 1: on to Miss Brignac asking the questions, Miss Kellen. Before
• 3:45
Speaker 1: we begin, I'd like to go over the ground rules
• 3:47
Speaker 1: for the interview. The questioning will proceed in rounds. The
• 3:51
Speaker 1: majority will ask questions for up to an hour, and
• 3:53
Speaker 1: then the minority will have opportunity to ask questions from
• 3:57
Speaker 1: up to an hour if they choose to the extent.
• 3:59
Speaker 1: Members have questions for the witness, they'll be propounded during
• 4:02
Speaker 1: their sides respective rounds. The clock will stop if you
• 4:06
Speaker 1: need to confer with counsel, your council is speaking, and
• 4:09
Speaker 1: when members or staff are speaking during the opposing sides
• 4:12
Speaker 1: rounds a question, we will alternate back and forth and
• 4:15
Speaker 1: until there are no more questions. Do you understand Kellen? Yes, Brignac.
• 4:21
Speaker 1: There is a court reporter taking down everything I say
• 4:24
Speaker 1: and everything you say to make a written record for
• 4:25
Speaker 1: the interview. For the record to be clear, please wait
• 4:29
Speaker 1: until the staff are questioning you finishes each question before
• 4:32
Speaker 1: you begin to answer, and the staffer will wait until
• 4:35
Speaker 1: you finish your response before proceeding to the next question. Further,
• 4:40
Speaker 1: to ensure the court reporter can properly record this interview.
• 4:43
Speaker 1: Please speak clearly, concisely, and slowly. Also, the court reporter
• 4:48
Speaker 1: cannot record nonverbal answers, such as nodding or shaking your head,
• 4:52
Speaker 1: so it's important that you answer each question with an
• 4:55
Speaker 1: audible verbal answer. Minority exhibits will be identified alphabetically. Do
• 5:00
Speaker 1: you understand, Kelln Yes, Brignac. We want you to answer
• 5:05
Speaker 1: our questions in the most complete and truthful manner possible,
• 5:08
Speaker 1: so will take our time. If you have any questions
• 5:11
Speaker 1: or do not fully understand the question, please let us know.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: We will attempt to clarify, add context to, or rephrase
• 5:17
Speaker 1: the questions. If we ask about specific conversations or events
• 5:22
Speaker 1: in the past, and you're unable to recall the exact
• 5:24
Speaker 1: words or details, you should testify to the substance of
• 5:27
Speaker 1: those conversations or events to the best of your recollection.
• 5:31
Speaker 1: If you recall only part of the conversation or event,
• 5:34
Speaker 1: you should give us your best recollection of those events
• 5:38
Speaker 1: or parts of a conversation that you do recall. Do
• 5:40
Speaker 1: you understand, Miss Kellen, Yes, Brignac. Although you're here voluntarily,
• 5:46
Speaker 1: you're acquired by law pursuing the Title eighteen of the
• 5:49
Speaker 1: US Code Section one thousand and one to answer questions
• 5:52
Speaker 1: from Congress truthfully. This also applies to questions posed by
• 5:57
Speaker 1: Congressional staff in the interview. Do you understand Kellen, Yes, Brignac.
• 6:02
Speaker 1: If any time you knowingly make false statements, you could
• 6:05
Speaker 1: be subject to criminal prosecution. Do you understand Kellen, Yes, Brignac.
• 6:11
Speaker 1: This includes knowingly providing false testimony, but also stating that
• 6:15
Speaker 1: you do not recall or remember something when you in
• 6:17
Speaker 1: fact do. Do you understand Kellen, yes, Brignac. Furthermore, you
• 6:22
Speaker 1: cannot tell half truths or exclude information necessary to make
• 6:26
Speaker 1: statements accurate. You're required to provide all information that would
• 6:30
Speaker 1: make your response truthful. A deliberate failure to disclose information
• 6:34
Speaker 1: can constitute a false statement. Do you understand miss Kellen, Yes, Brignac.
• 6:39
Speaker 1: Is there any reason you're not able to provide truthful
• 6:42
Speaker 1: testimony in today's interview? Kellen No, Brignac. Please note that
• 6:47
Speaker 1: if you wish to assert a privilege over any statement today,
• 6:50
Speaker 1: that assertion must comply with the rules of the Committee
• 6:53
Speaker 1: on Oversight and Government Reform pursu into that Committee. Rule
• 6:57
Speaker 1: sixteen See one states for the chair to consider her
• 7:00
Speaker 1: assertions of privilege over testimony. Your statements, witnesses her entities
• 7:05
Speaker 1: must clearly state the specific privilege being asserted and the
• 7:08
Speaker 1: reason for the assertion on or before the scheduled data
• 7:11
Speaker 1: testimony or appearance. Do you understand, Kellen? Yes, Now, her
• 7:17
Speaker 1: lawyer jumps in, Can I just very quickly, just so
• 7:20
Speaker 1: the record's clear. We've previously shared with the committee staff.
• 7:23
Speaker 1: There are certain topics. This is a voluntary interview that
• 7:27
Speaker 1: she's prepared to discuss today. She'll talk about her own questions,
• 7:31
Speaker 1: pertinent questions regarding her own victimization, but not questions about
• 7:34
Speaker 1: other persons victimization. The reason for this include her own
• 7:39
Speaker 1: mental trauma, her ability to withstand sustain questioning on these points,
• 7:43
Speaker 1: legislative purpose and pertency, concerns about the private rights of individuals,
• 7:48
Speaker 1: including my client, and the protection of her constitutional rights.
• 7:52
Speaker 1: And I know that we've discussed it with the Majority
• 7:54
Speaker 1: and Minority staff, but I just wanted to make sure
• 7:57
Speaker 1: that everyone in the room understood our condition. Mister Ashworth
• 8:00
Speaker 1: for the record, thank you. As previously stated, the Committee
• 8:04
Speaker 1: will ask all questions it deems relevant to the committee's
• 8:07
Speaker 1: investigation and hopes the witness will answer those questions. As
• 8:10
Speaker 1: she sees fit. Thank you, miss Brignac. Ordinarily, we take
• 8:15
Speaker 1: a five minute break at the end of each hour
• 8:17
Speaker 1: of questioning, but if you need a longer break or
• 8:19
Speaker 1: a break before that, please let us know and we
• 8:22
Speaker 1: will happily accommodate it. However, to the extent that there's
• 8:26
Speaker 1: a pending question on the record, we would ask that
• 8:28
Speaker 1: you finish answering the question before we take a break.
• 8:31
Speaker 1: Do you understand Kellen, yes, Brignac, you have any questions
• 8:35
Speaker 1: before we begin? Kellen, No, I don't have any questions. Brignac. Great,
• 8:40
Speaker 1: and I believe we had another member join us. Can
• 8:43
Speaker 1: you please identify yourself for the record, William Timmins, South Carolina. Brignac,
• 8:48
Speaker 1: thank you. I understand that you have an opening statement
• 8:51
Speaker 1: that you want to read for the record. Kelln, yeah, Brignac,
• 8:54
Speaker 1: you can do so now. Kellen, thank you, Chairman, ranking member,
• 8:58
Speaker 1: and members of the Committee. My name is Sarah Kellen.
• 9:01
Speaker 1: I worked for and was sexually and psychologically abused by
• 9:05
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein for over a decade. It's important for the
• 9:08
Speaker 1: committee to understand before I begin that the woman sitting
• 9:11
Speaker 1: in front of you today is not the woman I
• 9:14
Speaker 1: was supposed to become. The years that have shaped my
• 9:17
Speaker 1: adult life were not my own. During those years, I
• 9:20
Speaker 1: was trapped inside Jeffrey Epstein's world. He grew me sexually
• 9:24
Speaker 1: and psychologically abused me, controlled me, manipulated me, dominated me,
• 9:29
Speaker 1: and gas lit me until I could no longer tell
• 9:31
Speaker 1: which thoughts were mine and which were his. It was
• 9:35
Speaker 1: like living with a permanent virtual reality had set on.
• 9:39
Speaker 1: I was reminded every day how powerful he was, how
• 9:42
Speaker 1: influential he was, and that to turn on him or
• 9:45
Speaker 1: disobey him would mean losing everything, my job, my home,
• 9:49
Speaker 1: everyone I knew in the world, even my life. Understanding
• 9:53
Speaker 1: who I was before meeting Jeffrey Epstein and Glenn Maxwell
• 9:57
Speaker 1: will help explain why I was the perfect target for them.
• 10:00
Speaker 1: I was raised in a religious cult of Jehovah's witnesses
• 10:04
Speaker 1: in a small community of North Carolina, in a faith
• 10:07
Speaker 1: where women did not speak unless spoken to. We were
• 10:10
Speaker 1: not allowed to question men. In fact, we were required
• 10:13
Speaker 1: to submit to and obey men. We were discouraged from
• 10:17
Speaker 1: thinking for ourselves. At the age of thirteen, an eighteen
• 10:20
Speaker 1: year old man began pursuing me. At the time, I
• 10:23
Speaker 1: was flattered. I thought I was falling in love with him.
• 10:27
Speaker 1: Only now do I understand what was happening. I was
• 10:29
Speaker 1: being groomed and molested and then raped. I dropped out
• 10:33
Speaker 1: of high school at the age of fifteen to prepare
• 10:35
Speaker 1: to marry this man, which I did at the age
• 10:37
Speaker 1: of seventeen. To me, I had no other choice. It
• 10:40
Speaker 1: was the only way to reconcile the fact we were
• 10:42
Speaker 1: having sex outside of wedlock a grave sin in the
• 10:46
Speaker 1: eyes of Jehovah God. At the time, I thought it
• 10:50
Speaker 1: was love. Only much later did I come to understand
• 10:53
Speaker 1: what had happened to me was wrong. My husband took
• 10:56
Speaker 1: me to Hawaii, thousands of miles away from my family
• 10:59
Speaker 1: and friends. Three years later, he served me with divorce
• 11:01
Speaker 1: papers at an airport. I signed them without a lawyer
• 11:05
Speaker 1: because I did not know I was allowed to have one.
• 11:08
Speaker 1: He then this fellowshiped me from the Jehovah witnesses, excommunicated,
• 11:13
Speaker 1: without anyone ever having questioned me. I still don't know
• 11:16
Speaker 1: to this day why I was this fellowshiped. From that
• 11:20
Speaker 1: day forward, everyone who is Jehovah's witness is no longer
• 11:23
Speaker 1: allowed to speak to or associate with me, including my
• 11:26
Speaker 1: entire family, my parents, my siblings and all my friends.
• 11:30
Speaker 1: From one day to the next, I was completely alone
• 11:33
Speaker 1: in the outside world, with no tools to navigate this
• 11:36
Speaker 1: world outside of the religious cult in which I had
• 11:39
Speaker 1: been raised. I was twenty one years old, far from
• 11:42
Speaker 1: where I grew up, stuck on an island in the
• 11:44
Speaker 1: middle of nowhere. No college degree, no family, no friends,
• 11:48
Speaker 1: no money, nowhere to live. The only person who offered
• 11:52
Speaker 1: me shelter was a photographer twenty years my senior, who
• 11:55
Speaker 1: demanded nude photographs and delhi sex from me in exchange
• 11:59
Speaker 1: for a roof over mine head. When I couldn't afford
• 12:01
Speaker 1: to pay rent, I had no other choice to survive.
• 12:05
Speaker 1: I began to disassociate during these encounters, a coping mechanism
• 12:10
Speaker 1: that will stay with me for many years. During this
• 12:13
Speaker 1: time period, I went to Neiman Marcus makeup counter in Honolulu.
• 12:17
Speaker 1: The makeup artist introduced me to a famous New Yorker
• 12:20
Speaker 1: hairdresser who was there promoting his new hair care line.
• 12:23
Speaker 1: He said he wanted me to model in a hair
• 12:25
Speaker 1: show for him in Maui. When I flew to Maui,
• 12:28
Speaker 1: he had me staying in his hotel room. There was
• 12:30
Speaker 1: no hair show. He sexually assaulted me that night. He
• 12:33
Speaker 1: then said he wanted to introduce me to his friend
• 12:36
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, who he said was his scout for Victoria's Secret.
• 12:40
Speaker 1: Jeffrey flew me to La for a casting in his
• 12:43
Speaker 1: shutters on the Beach hotel room. Although he did not
• 12:46
Speaker 1: sexually assault me that day, he made me think he
• 12:49
Speaker 1: was a model scout and told me to undress for him,
• 12:52
Speaker 1: which I did. Months later, while working at a hotel,
• 12:55
Speaker 1: a young woman I work with became friends with me
• 12:58
Speaker 1: and knew I was desperately trying to leave Hawaii. She
• 13:01
Speaker 1: said that she knew a couple in New York looking
• 13:03
Speaker 1: for an assistant and asked if I would be interested
• 13:06
Speaker 1: in the job. The couple was Jeffrey Epstein and Glene Maxwell. Unfortunately,
• 13:11
Speaker 1: I got the job. The first time Jeffrey Epstein assaulted me,
• 13:15
Speaker 1: I was on Little Saint James's private island. This was
• 13:18
Speaker 1: not a vacation destination, it was isolation. He told me
• 13:22
Speaker 1: he was taking me on a tour of the island.
• 13:24
Speaker 1: He drove me on a four wheeler to his bedroom.
• 13:26
Speaker 1: He locked the door behind us. He approached me and
• 13:29
Speaker 1: lifted up my shirt. To this day, I can't remember
• 13:33
Speaker 1: exactly what happened in the minutes that followed. My mind
• 13:35
Speaker 1: shut down. I have since learned in therapy that this
• 13:38
Speaker 1: is called disassociation. It became how I survived. There were
• 13:43
Speaker 1: many events during my time working with Jeffrey and Golaine
• 13:47
Speaker 1: that my mind shut down and doesn't allow me to
• 13:49
Speaker 1: remember the traumatic details. I was then flown to Palm
• 13:53
Speaker 1: Beach in Jeffrey Epstein's private seven twenty seven, then to
• 13:56
Speaker 1: New York City. I was surrounded by unimaginable luge, private jets,
• 14:01
Speaker 1: designer clothing, lavish homes, the largest townhouse in Manhattan. I
• 14:05
Speaker 1: was told. After a week of traveling with them, I
• 14:08
Speaker 1: was sent back home to Hawaii. About a month later,
• 14:11
Speaker 1: Glane called me and told me to come to Palm
• 14:13
Speaker 1: Beach right away and start working. They bought me a
• 14:16
Speaker 1: flight for the next day, and I immediately started training,
• 14:19
Speaker 1: traveling and working for them twenty four to seven with
• 14:22
Speaker 1: no pay. I was too afraid to even ask how
• 14:25
Speaker 1: much I would earn, terrified of jeopardizing my only chance
• 14:28
Speaker 1: at survival and stability. I have read articles online labeling
• 14:34
Speaker 1: me as Glenn Maxwell's lieutenant. That is a gross misrepresentation.
• 14:38
Speaker 1: I was a literal indentured slave. In fact, she even
• 14:41
Speaker 1: referred to me as her slave and her minion. I
• 14:44
Speaker 1: had zero power or authority. I was there only to
• 14:48
Speaker 1: serve and submit. Only after Jeffrey confirmed that I would
• 14:51
Speaker 1: submit to his sexual abuse did he begin paying me.
• 14:54
Speaker 1: After months of unpaid labor, he instructed me to draw
• 14:57
Speaker 1: m a bath on the island, then ordered me to
• 15:00
Speaker 1: undress and get in with him, and he said the
• 15:02
Speaker 1: job is yours now, you just have to keep it.
• 15:06
Speaker 1: He then pulled me onto his bed and made clear
• 15:08
Speaker 1: that keeping the job required only after submitting to his
• 15:11
Speaker 1: sexual abuse did the paychecks begin. Twenty five thousand a
• 15:15
Speaker 1: year for working non stop on call twenty four to
• 15:17
Speaker 1: seven months at a time when no days off. I
• 15:21
Speaker 1: understood the math exactly. I was being paid, in part
• 15:23
Speaker 1: to be raped. I was on call to him every
• 15:27
Speaker 1: hour of the day. I won't catalog every assault because
• 15:30
Speaker 1: it would take too much time, but I want this
• 15:32
Speaker 1: committee to know that the abuse happened on average on
• 15:35
Speaker 1: a weekly basis, and at times was violent. It included
• 15:39
Speaker 1: Jeffrey entering my room in the middle of the night
• 15:41
Speaker 1: and putting his fingers inside me, waking me up from sleep.
• 15:44
Speaker 1: It included the occasion in Palm Beach when he trapped
• 15:47
Speaker 1: me in the gym by lowering the metal hurricane shutters,
• 15:50
Speaker 1: blasted the music so loud so no one could hear,
• 15:53
Speaker 1: choked me, and violently rape me. The abuse continued while
• 15:57
Speaker 1: Jeffrey was supposedly serving his Florida Jellson. He even skyped
• 16:01
Speaker 1: me from a computer inside the Palm Beach County Stockade
• 16:04
Speaker 1: and ordered me to undress forum on camera. As a
• 16:07
Speaker 1: result of the years of abuse, constant sleep deprivation and
• 16:11
Speaker 1: course of control inflicted by Jeffrey and Glane, psychological conditions
• 16:15
Speaker 1: hampered my ability to identify my own emotions, differentiate reality
• 16:19
Speaker 1: from Jeffrey's manipulated reality, and crippled me for making decisions
• 16:24
Speaker 1: or asserting agency when it mattered most Today, I continue
• 16:27
Speaker 1: to suffer from major depressive disorder, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder,
• 16:32
Speaker 1: and complex PTSD, specifically as a result of Jeffrey Epstein's
• 16:37
Speaker 1: sexual assaults and psychological abuse. I know some of you
• 16:41
Speaker 1: are probably wondering why I didn't leave. I had nowhere
• 16:44
Speaker 1: else to go. I had no money, no family, no education,
• 16:48
Speaker 1: and no sense that I deserved any better. This is
• 16:52
Speaker 1: why It's so important for people to be educated on
• 16:55
Speaker 1: how grooming processes work and how trauma bonds form. I
• 16:59
Speaker 1: have only just begun to understand this myself over the
• 17:02
Speaker 1: past few years of therapy. I can provide more information
• 17:05
Speaker 1: how I was groomed, but I will not speak for
• 17:07
Speaker 1: others and how they were groomed. Jeffrey made certain I
• 17:11
Speaker 1: knew that defying him would cost me my life. He
• 17:14
Speaker 1: knew everyone in the highest echelons of society, and everyone
• 17:17
Speaker 1: catered to him. He knew everyone in the fashion industry, academics, finance, government,
• 17:22
Speaker 1: powerful world leaders, dictators, and everyone in between. From the beginning,
• 17:28
Speaker 1: he showed me that he was more powerful than basically
• 17:30
Speaker 1: anyone in the world. I sat in a room in
• 17:33
Speaker 1: Cuba with him and Fidel Castro. I was taken to
• 17:36
Speaker 1: Asia and Africa with President Bill Clinton, including a lunch
• 17:39
Speaker 1: at the home of the Sultan a Brunei. I was
• 17:42
Speaker 1: at Princess Beatrice's eighteenth birthday party at Windsor Castle and
• 17:46
Speaker 1: at the desert home of Sheik Muhammad in Dubai. I
• 17:49
Speaker 1: sat across the table from Adhud Barakh in Israel. Jeffrey
• 17:53
Speaker 1: was able to fool and manipulate the brightest minds in
• 17:56
Speaker 1: the world. US victims didn't stand a chance. I was
• 18:00
Speaker 1: a high school dropout from North Carolina. I was a
• 18:02
Speaker 1: silent body in a chair besides men who started and
• 18:06
Speaker 1: ended wars. I understood completely that if Jeffrey could walk
• 18:10
Speaker 1: into those rooms, he could walk into any room in
• 18:12
Speaker 1: the entire world. He could find me anywhere on Earth.
• 18:16
Speaker 1: He could also control any law enforcement agency. That proof
• 18:19
Speaker 1: came in two thousand and seven. Two FBI agents tried
• 18:23
Speaker 1: to approach me and another young woman in Saint Thomas Airport.
• 18:26
Speaker 1: Jeffrey told us to stay where we were, walked over
• 18:29
Speaker 1: and spoke to the agents himself, came back ten minutes later,
• 18:32
Speaker 1: said let's go, and the agents were gone. Later that
• 18:36
Speaker 1: same year, the United States government placed me into Jeffrey
• 18:39
Speaker 1: Epstein's federal non prosecution agreement as a name co conspirator.
• 18:44
Speaker 1: I was not told this was happening. I was not
• 18:46
Speaker 1: asked about it. No one from law enforcement ever spoke
• 18:49
Speaker 1: with me, heard my side of the story, ever asked
• 18:52
Speaker 1: me a single question. I did not even know my
• 18:54
Speaker 1: name was in that agreement until after it had been
• 18:56
Speaker 1: signed and released to the public. The federal government of
• 18:59
Speaker 1: the United States branded me a criminal and a secret
• 19:02
Speaker 1: deal with my own abuser without ever once speaking to me.
• 19:07
Speaker 1: From the day Jeffrey Epstein found me until July of
• 19:09
Speaker 1: twenty nineteen, no one from the federal government, or any
• 19:13
Speaker 1: government for that matter, ever contacted me about anything, not once.
• 19:17
Speaker 1: I've spent every year since trying to live underneath that
• 19:20
Speaker 1: piece of paper. I finally extricated myself from Jeffrey Epstein's
• 19:24
Speaker 1: grasp in twenty thirteen when I became engaged to a
• 19:27
Speaker 1: man who gave me, for the first time of my life,
• 19:30
Speaker 1: a piece of footing outside of someone else's control. I
• 19:33
Speaker 1: was finally able to leave. The abuse finally stopped, but
• 19:37
Speaker 1: leaving was not the same as escaping. I am almost
• 19:40
Speaker 1: forty seven years old. My entire life since the age
• 19:42
Speaker 1: of twenty two has been dominated by Jeffrey Epstein's abuse
• 19:46
Speaker 1: and manipulation and the aftermath of it. I am here
• 19:49
Speaker 1: today to answer your questions, to dispel rumors and conspiracies,
• 19:54
Speaker 1: and to tell you the truth. I hope and pray
• 19:57
Speaker 1: that I am the only sexual abuse survivor that has
• 19:59
Speaker 1: come before you in this manner. Nobody else who has
• 20:02
Speaker 1: been through the hell that Jeffrey Epstein put us through.
• 20:05
Speaker 1: Should ever have to endure the pain of recounting it
• 20:08
Speaker 1: again publicly, all of us lose more of our lives,
• 20:11
Speaker 1: our health, our privacy, and mental well being each day
• 20:15
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein remains a topic of discussion. I hope this
• 20:19
Speaker 1: brings us one step closer to closure for all of
• 20:21
Speaker 1: us survivors. Thank you for listening. All right, folks, we're
• 20:25
Speaker 1: gonna wrap up right here and in the next episode

Speaker 1: discussing the topic, We're gonna pick up where we left off.

• 21:03
Speaker 1: tenth district, Mister Conna Rocana for California's seventeenth. Miss Brignac.
• 21:09
Speaker 1: Thank you. Examination by Miss Brignac. Question. The Committee understands
• 21:14
Speaker 1: that your testimony today can be challenging, and we appreciate
• 21:18
Speaker 1: you speaking with us. The Committee today will be referring
• 21:20
Speaker 1: to you as Sarah Kellen, but we would like to
• 21:23
Speaker 1: note for the record, the Committee understands you have also
• 21:26
Speaker 1: had the surname Kensington and Vickers. Is that correct? Kellen? Correct? Question?
• 21:32
Speaker 1: Thank you. Let's start by discussing your background. You mentioned
• 21:35
Speaker 1: that you were raised in North Carolina. Is that where
• 21:38
Speaker 1: you were born? Answer? I was born in Fort Worth, Texas,
• 21:41
Speaker 1: and my family moved to North Carolina when I was
• 21:44
Speaker 1: about two. Question what year were you born? Answer nineteen
• 21:48
Speaker 1: seventy nine. Question what's the highest level of education that
• 21:52
Speaker 1: you received? Answer? High school diploma through a homeschooling program.
• 21:56
Speaker 1: Question did you receive any additional coursework or higher education? Answer?
• 22:01
  Speaker 1: I took a few r classes at a community college
• 22:04
Speaker 1: in Hawaii. Question we will go into more detail later,
• 22:07
Speaker 1: but for now, can you briefly describe your professional career? Answer?
• 22:12
  Speaker 1: I currently don't work. I was a very devoted wife
• 22:14
Speaker 1: for eleven years and didn't work since during that period.
• 22:18
Speaker 1: Question can you walk me through the years that your
• 22:20
Speaker 1: professional career would have taken place and any careers that
• 22:24
Speaker 1: you've possessed miss Ham. Do you want to start in Hawaii? Brignac, Yes, Brignac,
• 22:32
Speaker 1: let's start to Hawaii. Question Yeah, just briefly walk me
• 22:36
Speaker 1: through your professional career. Answer. I mean my first job
• 22:39
Speaker 1: as a hostess. I worked at like a little gift
• 22:42
Speaker 1: store in North Carolina. In Hawaii, I worked at a
• 22:44
Speaker 1: food truck. I worked at a bikini store. I worked
• 22:47
Speaker 1: at Banana Republic as a hostess at the w Hotel
• 22:50
Speaker 1: in Honolulu, and then I was a personal assistant for
• 22:53
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and Glenn Maxwell. Question any other positions you've
• 22:59
Speaker 1: held at other companies? Answer? I worked at a mortgage
• 23:02
Speaker 1: company in Hawaii for a little bit. I think that's it.
• 23:05
Speaker 1: Question the Committee has reviewed the documents. Also that you
• 23:08
Speaker 1: may have worked at a design company. Answer I started
• 23:12
Speaker 1: an interior design company. Question and what year was that
• 23:15
Speaker 1: design company established? Answer? I don't remember exactly, it was
• 23:19
Speaker 1: during my time working for Jeffrey. Question and what was
• 23:24
Speaker 1: the design company called? Answer SLK Designs. Question and is
• 23:28
Speaker 1: the company still an operation? Answer? No? Question When did
• 23:32
Speaker 1: the company dissolve? Answer? I believe in twenty fifteen? Question
• 23:36
Speaker 1: why did it dissolve? Answer Darren Endyke asked me if
• 23:40
Speaker 1: I could turn the company over to someone else, and
• 23:42
Speaker 1: I said no, I didn't want it was my company,
• 23:45
Speaker 1: and I asked for it to be dissolved. Question it
• 23:49
Speaker 1: was your company in what way? Answer? It was my initials,
• 23:52
Speaker 1: So I was like, I don't want my initials. You
• 23:54
Speaker 1: know someone else to be using my initials as their company.
• 23:58
Speaker 1: Question what position did you have in the company? Answer owner,
• 24:03
Speaker 1: I guess principal. Question Okay, who did Darren Endyke ask
• 24:06
Speaker 1: you to turn the company over to? Answer? I don't
• 24:08
Speaker 1: remember the name. Question When did he ask you to
• 24:11
Speaker 1: turn the company over? Answer? I think it was twenty fifteen,
• 24:14
Speaker 1: probably the same time that it was dissolved. Question did
• 24:18
Speaker 1: he tell you why he asked you to do that? Answer? No?
• 24:21
Speaker 1: Question Did you ask him why? Answer no question. Tell
• 24:25
Speaker 1: me about the first time you interacted with Jeffrey Epstein.
• 24:28
Speaker 1: Answer the very first time was in La. He called
• 24:31
Speaker 1: me on the phone after Frederick Vacai introduced us, and
• 24:35
Speaker 1: I spoke with him and he said he was going
• 24:37
Speaker 1: to be in LA and wanted me to fly out
• 24:39
Speaker 1: for a casting and he was at Victoria's Secret Model
• 24:42
Speaker 1: Scout and then his office flew me out on a
• 24:45
Speaker 1: red eye from Honolulu to LA and I went to
• 24:47
Speaker 1: his hotel room at the Shutters on the Beach, got
• 24:50
Speaker 1: there in the morning, went to his hotel room, gave
• 24:53
Speaker 1: him my he had just he was like in his bedroom.
• 24:57
Speaker 1: I gave him my portfolio. He told me to undress,
• 25:00
  Speaker 1: and I was like, it's Victoria's secret, okay. So I
• 25:03
Speaker 1: got down into my bra and underwear and did a
• 25:05
Speaker 1: turn and he said, you know, thank you, I have
• 25:08
Speaker 1: to go to a meeting now. You're welcome to come
• 25:10
Speaker 1: back at four, you know, if you like. And I
• 25:13
Speaker 1: didn't really think anything of it. I was flying back
• 25:15
Speaker 1: to Hawaii that same day and I had never been
• 25:18
Speaker 1: to La so I didn't go back. And I remember
• 25:21
Speaker 1: him calling me around four probably and asking me where
• 25:23
Speaker 1: I was, and I was just like, I'm walking around
• 25:26
Speaker 1: Santa Monica before my flight, and he was visibly annoyed
• 25:30
Speaker 1: that I hadn't come back, and he mumbled something under
• 25:33
Speaker 1: his breath, and then I never heard from him again.
• 25:36
Speaker 1: And then months later, when I was working as a
• 25:38
Speaker 1: hostess at the w Hotel in Honolulu, there was a
• 25:41
Speaker 1: woman there that was interning at the front desk, and
• 25:44
Speaker 1: she befriended me learned about my story about being divorced
• 25:48
Speaker 1: and this fellowshipped and trapped in Hawaii, and she told
• 25:52
Speaker 1: me about a wealthy couple that was looking for a
• 25:54
Speaker 1: personal assistant and if I'd be interested in the job,
• 25:57
Speaker 1: and I was like, sounds like a dream come true. Yeah,
• 26:00
Speaker 1: And then she organized a flight for her and I
• 26:03
Speaker 1: to fly from Honolulu to Jeffrey's private island and he
• 26:05
Speaker 1: met us at the dock when we arrived. We took
• 26:08
Speaker 1: a boat over to the island and I remember seeing
• 26:11
Speaker 1: him and thinking, oh shit, it's a victorious secret guy.
• 26:15
  Speaker 1: Like I hope he doesn't remember me because I didn't
• 26:18
Speaker 1: clearly didn't like me, he was annoyed with me, and
• 26:21
Speaker 1: now I won't get the job. Question how did you
• 26:24
Speaker 1: meet Frederick Fokai? Answer? At the Neman Marcus in Honolulu.
• 26:29
Speaker 1: I was getting my makeup done at the one of
• 26:31
Speaker 1: the makeup counters and telling the makeup artist that I
• 26:34
Speaker 1: was trying to be a model, and she's like, oh,
• 26:36
Speaker 1: you should really meet Frederick Focai. He would really like
• 26:39
Speaker 1: your look. He's here promoting his hair Caro line. So
• 26:43
Speaker 1: I knew. I was obsessed with fashion and magazines at
• 26:46
Speaker 1: the time, so I knew who he was, and she
• 26:49
Speaker 1: introduced me, and he said that he was doing a
• 26:51
Speaker 1: hair show in Maui, like in a couple of days
• 26:54
Speaker 1: in the next week, and would love for me to
• 26:57
Speaker 1: be in his show. So I flew to Maui and
• 26:59
Speaker 1: there there's no hair show. Question who paid for the flight? Answer?
• 27:04
Speaker 1: I don't remember. I assume he did. Question what year
• 27:07
Speaker 1: might this have been? Answer it would have been late
• 27:10
Speaker 1: two thousand or early two thousand and one. Question and
• 27:14
Speaker 1: what were you told about Jeffrey Epstein prior to meeting him?
• 27:17
Speaker 1: Answer that he was a Victoria's Secret Model Scout. Frederick
• 27:21
Speaker 1: asked me if I could introduce me to his friend
• 27:24
Speaker 1: that was a Victoria's Secret Model Scout. Question When did
• 27:28
Speaker 1: you first meet mister Epstein in person? Answer at his
• 27:31
Speaker 1: hotel room in la at the Shutters. Question and can
• 27:35
Speaker 1: you describe to me how that took place? Can you
• 27:37
Speaker 1: set the scene? Who opened the door? Walk you through?
• 27:40
Speaker 1: Anyone else present? Answer? So he just had a massage.
• 27:45
Speaker 1: He had just gotten a massage and a massuse. Answered
• 27:47
Speaker 1: the door. And it was a large like suite, so
• 27:51
Speaker 1: it had a separate living room and a half bath,
• 27:53
Speaker 1: and then the bedroom and he showed me in and
• 27:56
Speaker 1: said that he just got a massage, and he showed
• 27:58
Speaker 1: me to like the half bath so I could freshen
• 28:01
Speaker 1: up from the red eye. And then she took me
• 28:03
Speaker 1: into his bedroom and I remember him being on the bed.
• 28:06
Speaker 1: I don't remember if he was like over the covers
• 28:08
Speaker 1: or under the covers. And that's where I gave him
• 28:10
Speaker 1: my portfolio and he was like lying on the bed
• 28:13
Speaker 1: and looking through my portfolio, and I undressed. Mister Timmins.
• 28:17
Speaker 1: What year was that, Kellen lay two thousands or early
• 28:21
Speaker 1: two thousand and one? Brignac asked a question, now, who
• 28:24
Speaker 1: is the masseuse? I'll let you win answer. I'm not
• 28:27
Speaker 1: sure question? And you mentioned a friend reconnected you to
• 28:30
Speaker 1: mister Epstein months later? Who was that friend? Miss Ham?
• 28:34
Speaker 1: Can we go off record for a second, Brignac, I'm
• 28:37
Speaker 1: going to ask the questions that are on the record. First.
• 28:40
Speaker 1: Are we on the record or off the record? Right now?
• 28:42
Speaker 1: The reporter on the record, Ham I have to gets
• 28:46
Speaker 1: cut off by Brignac. Okay, we'll go off the record.
• 28:49
Speaker 1: They get back Brignac, we can go back on the record.
• 28:52
Speaker 1: Sarah Kellen, her name was redacted. Brignac. Question, thank you,
• 28:57
Speaker 1: how did you meet redacted? Answer? She was interning at
• 29:01
Speaker 1: the front desk at the W Hotel in Honolulu. Apparently
• 29:04
Speaker 1: Jeffrey had gotten her the internship because he was friends
• 29:07
Speaker 1: with Tom Brock, who in the hotel. Question what did
• 29:11
Speaker 1: that friend tell you that persuaded you to reconnect with
• 29:13
Speaker 1: mister Epstein? Answer? Well, I didn't know that he was
• 29:18
Speaker 1: who she was introducing me to. She never told me
• 29:20
Speaker 1: his name. She just told me that there was a
• 29:23
Speaker 1: wealthy couple in New York that was looking for a
• 29:25
Speaker 1: traveling assistant and if I would be interested. She had
• 29:29
Speaker 1: taken some riskue photos of me earlier, and I learned
• 29:31
Speaker 1: later that she sent them to Jeffrey and then started
• 29:34
Speaker 1: telling me about the job opportunity. Question can you provide
• 29:38
Speaker 1: any other details about the job opportunity and what an
• 29:41
Speaker 1: assistant meant here? Answer? Sorry? Can you? Gets cut off
• 29:46
Speaker 1: by the person asking the questions? Miss Brignac? Question what
• 29:50
Speaker 1: did she tell you about the job opportunity? Answer? Not
• 29:53
Speaker 1: a lot, Just that their current assistant was looking to
• 29:56
Speaker 1: leave and they were looking for someone to replace her,
• 29:59
Speaker 1: and that the they were based in New York. That
• 30:01
Speaker 1: was kind of it, you know, I was really desperately
• 30:03
Speaker 1: trying to get out of Hawaii, and I was going
• 30:06
Speaker 1: further and further into debt and had nowhere to go
• 30:08
Speaker 1: and really nowhere to go. So it sounded like a
• 30:11
Speaker 1: good opportunity and I trusted her. Question outside of those reasons,
• 30:16
Speaker 1: is there anything else about the job opportunity that was
• 30:19
Speaker 1: attractive to you? Answer? I really didn't have much information
• 30:22
Speaker 1: other than that. Now, Miss Toland asked a question. Question,
• 30:28
Speaker 1: and you said that she knew Jeffrey because he helped
• 30:30
Speaker 1: her get a job at the hotel? Is that correct? Answer?
• 30:35
Speaker 1: Correct question? And do you know how they knew each
• 30:38
Speaker 1: other prior to that or how that all played out? Answer?
• 30:41
  Speaker 1: I don't question. Okay, now it's mister Biggs. Can I
• 30:45
Speaker 1: ask a question? I don't want to enter up, but
• 30:47
Speaker 1: can I ask a question? Looking back on it, do
• 30:50
Speaker 1: you view this person as someone who might have been
• 30:52
Speaker 1: procuring on behalf of Mister epstein Ham jumps in. I
• 30:57
Speaker 1: don't think she can speak to other victims truly, and
• 30:59
Speaker 1: I'm not sure or she would have the ability to
• 31:01
Speaker 1: answer that question. Biggs, I guess I'm not asking about
• 31:05
Speaker 1: the other person per se, whether they're a victim or not.
• 31:09
Speaker 1: I'm asking whether, in reflection, do you think she was
• 31:12
Speaker 1: facilitating luring you went to mister Epstein's web Mister Timmins,
• 31:17
Speaker 1: was she compensated for it? Kellen answers, I don't know. Timmins.
• 31:21
Speaker 1: Do you think that she was in a sexual relationship
• 31:24
Speaker 1: with Epstein? Kellen, I don't know. She never talked about it.
• 31:27
Speaker 1: Back to Miss Brignac question, so you mentioned meeting mister
• 31:31
Speaker 1: Epstein at his hotel room. What was your first impression? Answer?
• 31:35
  Speaker 1: It's a good question. I didn't have a lot of interaction.
• 31:38
Speaker 1: It was just it was pretty quick to me. I mean,
• 31:41
Speaker 1: it was obviously a little odd, not like the typical
• 31:43
Speaker 1: castings that I've been on being in the hotel room,
• 31:46
Speaker 1: but it seemed like he was there on business and
• 31:48
Speaker 1: the timing of it, and he just got a massage.
• 31:51
Speaker 1: So him being in the bedroom on the bed, didn't
• 31:54
Speaker 1: you know, it kind of made sense, and you know,
• 31:56
Speaker 1: the massuse was there, so it all kind of added up.
• 31:59
Speaker 1: But yeah, I didn't really have like a very strong
• 32:01
Speaker 1: opinion at that point. Question so he asked you to
• 32:04
Speaker 1: undress what happens next question? I had just got into
• 32:09
Speaker 1: my bron underwear, and that seemed logical. Since it was
• 32:12
Speaker 1: a victorious secret casting. And I remember just like doing
• 32:14
Speaker 1: a little turn, turning around so he could see my body,
• 32:17
Speaker 1: and he flipped through my portfolio and then handed it
• 32:20
Speaker 1: back and was just like thanks, you're welcome to come
• 32:23
Speaker 1: back at four o'clock. But I didn't really think anything
• 32:25
Speaker 1: of it. I was like, I didn't really see the
• 32:27
Speaker 1: point in coming back because he had already seen me,
• 32:30
Speaker 1: So I kind of just dismissed that and I didn't
• 32:33
Speaker 1: go back. Question Okay, so after you hear about the
• 32:36
Speaker 1: offer for the job to be the assistant to this
• 32:39
Speaker 1: wealthy couple, what happens next? Question redacted? Organize the flight
• 32:43
Speaker 1: for both of her and I to fly from Hawaii
• 32:46
Speaker 1: to Jeffrey's Island. And we arrived, Jeffrey picks us up
• 32:49
Speaker 1: at the dock, and I recognized him from the casting,
• 32:52
Speaker 1: and I was like, I hope he doesn't remember me,
• 32:54
Speaker 1: because he didn't like me. He was clearly annoyed that
• 32:57
Speaker 1: I didn't come back, and then it's going to jeopardize
• 32:59
Speaker 1: me getting the job. And I never reminded him that
• 33:02
Speaker 1: we had met before, and I don't think he remembered
• 33:05
Speaker 1: me because he never brought it up. Question did you
• 33:08
Speaker 1: ever speak about it again? Answer no. All right, folks,
• 33:13
Speaker 1: we're gonna wrap up right here, and in the next
• 33:15
Speaker 1: episode dealing with the topic, we're gonna pick up where
• 33:17
Speaker 1: we left off. All the information that goes with this
• 33:20
Speaker 1: episode can be found in the description box. What's up, everyone,
• 33:24
Speaker 1: and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In
• 33:28
Speaker 1: this episode, we're going to get right back to the
• 33:30
Speaker 1: Sarah Kellen transcript from her meeting with Congress. Question by
• 33:35
Speaker 1: miss Brynac. After he picked you up at the dock,
• 33:38
Speaker 1: where did he take you? Answer? We just went up
• 33:41
Speaker 1: to like the main part of the house, and I
• 33:43
Speaker 1: remember like Lane being there and the assistant that I
• 33:46
Speaker 1: was potentially going to replace. We were only there for
• 33:49
Speaker 1: a few days. I remember being it was very luxurious.
• 33:53
Speaker 1: I remember that I shared a room with redacted and
• 33:55
Speaker 1: in the morning she was like, you can ask for
• 33:57
Speaker 1: whatever you want for breakfast, like I'm going to have
• 34:01
Speaker 1: a big bowl of berries, And I was like, wow,
• 34:03
Speaker 1: like a whole bowl of berries, Like those are really expensive.
• 34:07
Speaker 1: It felt very luxurious, like nothing I had ever encountered before. Question,
• 34:12
Speaker 1: so you understood the couple could be wealthy? Answer? Yeah,
• 34:15
Speaker 1: Question what did you understand their positions to be How
• 34:19
Speaker 1: did you believe that they acquired their wealth? Answer? I
• 34:23
Speaker 1: know at one point I learned what he did, but
• 34:25
Speaker 1: I understood that he managed billionaire's money. Like they told me,
• 34:29
Speaker 1: he wouldn't take on a client unless he was worth
• 34:32
Speaker 1: one billion dollars. Glaine would tell me, you know, you
• 34:35
Speaker 1: should really listen to what he says, and you know,
• 34:37
Speaker 1: do what he says, because he's clearly very successful and
• 34:40
Speaker 1: influential and he can help you. Question who told you
• 34:44
Speaker 1: that he wouldn't take a client unless they were worth
• 34:47
Speaker 1: over a billion? Answer? Probably Glayne, maybe him. It was
• 34:51
Speaker 1: just my general understanding, so I'm sure it would have
• 34:54
Speaker 1: been one of those two. Question you mentioned that you
• 34:58
Speaker 1: believed that you were a place in Glaine. Who told
• 35:00
Speaker 1: you that? Answer? Not Klayne her assistant. Question Okay, I apologize.
• 35:05
Speaker 1: When did you first did you meet redacted? Answer on
• 35:09
Speaker 1: the island trip? Question why did you believe you were
• 35:12
Speaker 1: replacing her? Answer? That's what I was told. She wanted
• 35:16
Speaker 1: to go to Ala to pursue acting, so she was
• 35:18
Speaker 1: preparing to leave. Question who would have told you that
• 35:21
Speaker 1: she was leaving for acting? Answer? I don't know if
• 35:24
Speaker 1: it was redacted or redacted herself. Question. We'll go into
• 35:28
Speaker 1: more specifics on this, but can you briefly describe the
• 35:31
Speaker 1: nature of your relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Answer. He was terrifying.
• 35:36
Speaker 1: He was completely dominating of everything in my life. I
• 35:39
Speaker 1: had an apartment to live in in New York, so
• 35:42
Speaker 1: I had to live where he told me to live.
• 35:45
Speaker 1: He dictated what I wore. If I wore something that
• 35:48
Speaker 1: he didn't approve of, he would look at me and say,
• 35:50
Speaker 1: it's disgusting. Where did you get this? Throw it away?
• 35:54
Speaker 1: So every time I would buy anything new, I would
• 35:56
Speaker 1: have to immediately go to him and get approval. He
• 35:59
Speaker 1: just decided made it. Any source of autonomy that I had,
• 36:02
Speaker 1: which was very little at the time considering my upbringing.
• 36:06
Speaker 1: He dictated my haircut, my hair color. He would go
• 36:09
Speaker 1: to the salam with me and tell me what color
• 36:11
Speaker 1: to make it, what cut to make it. He gave
• 36:14
Speaker 1: me a boy cut with bangs, blonde hair, brown hair,
• 36:17
Speaker 1: and every length, every cut. He was extremely, extremely demanding,
• 36:21
Speaker 1: and he had no sense of reality and what it
• 36:23
Speaker 1: took to get things done. He would get so angry
• 36:26
Speaker 1: if things weren't done immediately or the next day, and
• 36:29
Speaker 1: he would keep you in such a state of terror
• 36:31
Speaker 1: that most menial things weren't done. It was the smallest
• 36:34
Speaker 1: things became important to him. Like just a silly example,
• 36:39
Speaker 1: we were in Beijing one time and he would go
• 36:41
Speaker 1: through periods of obsession of different types of foods. He
• 36:44
Speaker 1: would eat one thing for months at a time, and
• 36:46
Speaker 1: he was on an oreo kick. And I forgot to
• 36:49
Speaker 1: pack oreos for the trip to China, and he was
• 36:51
Speaker 1: so angry that he had to have oreos FedEx from
• 36:54
Speaker 1: New York to China. And it was like those things
• 36:59
Speaker 1: in the moment were so important and so terrifying, and
• 37:02
Speaker 1: they were always on a high alert of making sure
• 37:03
Speaker 1: you didn't forget anything. And he was constantly giving you
• 37:07
Speaker 1: more and more things, and he would ask that you
• 37:09
Speaker 1: didn't exist in the world, like go source this, go
• 37:12
Speaker 1: find this. So you were constantly trying to find something
• 37:16
Speaker 1: that didn't exist, and if you couldn't find it, then
• 37:19
Speaker 1: you'd have to try to find how to have it made.
• 37:22
Speaker 1: So it was just being completely inundated with tasks and
• 37:25
Speaker 1: responsibilities and then traveling. I traveled with them every two
• 37:29
Speaker 1: to three days, so I always, you know, had to
• 37:32
Speaker 1: pack a bag if we weren't staying at one of
• 37:34
Speaker 1: the houses, and he would want his own bedding to
• 37:37
Speaker 1: be brought if he was staying at a hotel, so
• 37:40
Speaker 1: I would have to pack all the betting, and then
• 37:42
Speaker 1: we would go to the hotel, change his betting into
• 37:45
Speaker 1: change the sheets out of the hotel, betting into his sheets.
• 37:49
Speaker 1: Various projects. He eventually had me become his interior designer
• 37:53
Speaker 1: because he was so difficult to work with, nobody wanted
• 37:56
Speaker 1: to work with him anymore. So then I was in
• 37:58
Speaker 1: charge of going out and getting fabric samples and sourcing
• 38:02
Speaker 1: furniture and paint colors on top of all my other responsibilities. Well,
• 38:06
Speaker 1: I was being sexually abused on a regular basis. Question
• 38:10
Speaker 1: thank you over how many years did your relationship take place? Answer?
• 38:15
Speaker 1: I met him well, technically, I started working for him
• 38:17
Speaker 1: in two thousand end of two thousand and one and
• 38:20
Speaker 1: started segueing out in twenty twelve when I became engaged
• 38:25
Speaker 1: to my ex husband second ex husband. Question is that
• 38:28
Speaker 1: when your relationship ended when you segued out? Answer that's
• 38:32
Speaker 1: when I stopped working for him. We would keep in
• 38:35
Speaker 1: contact occasionally, just kind of appease them and not getting
• 38:39
Speaker 1: on his bad side. Question how often would you communicate
• 38:42
Speaker 1: with mister Epstein? Answer at what time period? Question over
• 38:47
Speaker 1: the time period that you work with them? Answer almost daily,
• 38:50
Speaker 1: depends on where we were in New York, I answered
• 38:53
Speaker 1: to Glane. I mostly worked out of her house when
• 38:56
Speaker 1: we were there, so she would give me all my
• 38:59
Speaker 1: tasks in the morning. If we were traveling, I would
• 39:01
Speaker 1: see Jeffrey every day because I was staying at their
• 39:04
Speaker 1: homes or you know, in a hotel with them. Question
• 39:08
Speaker 1: what was the matter of your communications? What method did
• 39:11
Speaker 1: you communicate with them through? Was it in person over email?
• 39:15
Speaker 1: Had it most frequently communicate with him? And in which method? Answer?
• 39:20
Speaker 1: Mostly in person, sometimes over the phone. In the first
• 39:23
Speaker 1: few years, he didn't really use email. He didn't have
• 39:25
Speaker 1: a cell phone, so he would call me mostly when
• 39:28
Speaker 1: he needed something or wanted something, or to give me something.
• 39:32
Speaker 1: If I was in New York or if it was
• 39:34
Speaker 1: at his home, he would in person give me a
• 39:36
Speaker 1: list of things to do. Question Was the communication always
• 39:40
Speaker 1: direct to you or did he ever use intermediaries? Answer?
• 39:44
Speaker 1: Sometimes through assistance in his Madison Avenue office in New York,
• 39:49
Speaker 1: Leslie Groth other assistants that may have been at that office.
• 39:53
Speaker 1: There was Helen Kim, a few others Cecilia Stein, I
• 39:56
Speaker 1: believe her name was so. Sometimes he would give them
• 40:00
Speaker 1: tasks for me to do. Question any other intermediaries beside
• 40:04
Speaker 1: the assistance? Answer Glaine. Question did you sign a non
• 40:08
Speaker 1: disclosure agreement upon being hired as Epstein's assistant? Answer? Yes.
• 40:13
Speaker 1: Question what were the details of the agreement? Answer? I
• 40:17
  Speaker 1: don't remember exactly. I don't have a copy, but I
• 40:20
Speaker 1: remember there being some sort of financial I would have
• 40:22
Speaker 1: to pay money if I broke it. I forgot how much,
• 40:25
Speaker 1: but there was a clause in there. Question did the
• 40:28
Speaker 1: NDA reference any activity that you know was criminal in nature? Answer?
• 40:34
Speaker 1: I don't remember what it said exactly. I just remember
• 40:36
Speaker 1: that there being consequences monetarily. Question did the NDA reference
• 40:41
Speaker 1: any massages or messuses? Answer? No. Question Tell me about
• 40:46
Speaker 1: your first interaction with Glenn Maxwell. Answer it was on
• 40:50
Speaker 1: the island that first trip. I remember her kind of
• 40:53
Speaker 1: showing me some things around the island, like she had
• 40:55
Speaker 1: these treasure chests that you would fill with pottery and
• 40:58
Speaker 1: things that you would find on the island, and from
• 41:01
Speaker 1: when it was like an old sugar mill. I remember
• 41:03
Speaker 1: that's where she told me that you should really listen
• 41:07
Speaker 1: to what Jeffrey has to say. You should listen to
• 41:09
Speaker 1: him because he clearly knows what he's doing and he
• 41:12
Speaker 1: could help you. I don't remember much else that particular
• 41:15
Speaker 1: trip when I came when she called me, like a
• 41:20
Speaker 1: month after the initial week, she called me and was like,
• 41:23
Speaker 1: can you come to Palm Beach today? And I was like,
• 41:25
Speaker 1: I have to work tonight. I'm like, don't you have
• 41:28
Speaker 1: to buy a flight like two weeks in advance. That's
• 41:30
Speaker 1: kind of what I was always told. So She's like,
• 41:32
Speaker 1: how about tomorrow? So I was like, okay, well I
• 41:35
Speaker 1: can ask for time off. And I flew out the
• 41:37
Speaker 1: next day to Palm Beach and she put me to
• 41:41
Speaker 1: work right away, like she had gotten back from a
• 41:43
Speaker 1: trip to Paris, and she had me like help her
• 41:46
Speaker 1: unpack her bags and showed me how to make Jeffrey's
• 41:49
Speaker 1: coffee and to breakfast and where to buy newspapers in
• 41:52
Speaker 1: the morning. I was helping with laundry, kind of just
• 41:55
Speaker 1: anything that kind of needed to be done to serve him. Basically. Question.
• 42:00
Speaker 1: You mentioned in your opening statement that you were on
• 42:02
Speaker 1: call twenty four to seven. Answer Uh huh. Question, was
• 42:06
Speaker 1: that the case when you first started answer the entire
• 42:09
Speaker 1: time of my employment. I remember being at dinners with
• 42:12
Speaker 1: like one of my boyfriends at the time and him
• 42:15
Speaker 1: calling and I had to leave in the middle of dinner,
• 42:17
Speaker 1: like I had to anytime he called or summoned me,
• 42:20
Speaker 1: I had to jump and leave right away. Gleainne would
• 42:23
Speaker 1: do the same thing. She would call. She did it
• 42:25
Speaker 1: all the time to all the staff members. She would
• 42:28
Speaker 1: call and just ask for unreasonable requests like ten o'clock
• 42:31
Speaker 1: at night, can you come make Jeffrey this you know,
• 42:33
Speaker 1: this snack or this meal, or they would just they
• 42:36
Speaker 1: would do it to everybody. It was just completely overwhelming
• 42:40
Speaker 1: and just there were no boundaries. Question. How would you
• 42:43
Speaker 1: characterize your relationship with Miss Maxwell? Answer? I thought she
• 42:47
Speaker 1: was the most selfish person I had ever encountered. She
• 42:51
Speaker 1: was mean and belittling. She would literally call me a slave,
• 42:55
Speaker 1: her minion piglet polyp on a donkey's ass, like. She
• 42:58
Speaker 1: would belittle you as much as she could to make
• 43:01
Speaker 1: herself more superior. She would do things like, you know,
• 43:05
Speaker 1: just to make sure you knew that she was in charge.
• 43:08
Speaker 1: She would, you know, ask me to make her a
• 43:10
Speaker 1: cup of coffee, and I would make her coffee and
• 43:12
Speaker 1: then she would not even take a sip and let
• 43:14
Speaker 1: it sit there for like an hour and be like,
• 43:16
Speaker 1: can you make me another cup? And I felt like
• 43:19
Speaker 1: she would just felt like she was on purpose created
• 43:22
Speaker 1: chaos so that I couldn't finish my tasks, that she
• 43:25
Speaker 1: would then have to sweep in and save the day
• 43:28
Speaker 1: and make it seem like it was needed or useful.
• 43:32
Speaker 1: Miss Brignac. And we have another member who's just joined us.
• 43:35
Speaker 1: Can you state your name for the record, Miss Ann? Sorry? Yes,
• 43:39
Speaker 1: Yasimin and sorry from Arizona's third District, Miss Brignac. Question
• 43:44
Speaker 1: did your relationship with Miss Maxwell change over the years? Answer?
• 43:49
Speaker 1: The first several years I worked out of her house
• 43:52
Speaker 1: in New York, and then she started kind of slowly
• 43:55
Speaker 1: distancing herself from Jeffrey around the time he got arrested,
• 43:58
Speaker 1: probably around too thout five time frame. She was still around,
• 44:02
Speaker 1: you know, in charge of all the houses and the staff,
• 44:05
Speaker 1: and you know, in charge of his life basically approving
• 44:07
Speaker 1: all the bills. She just didn't travel with him as much.
• 44:11
Speaker 1: At that time she started dating Ted Waite, so she
• 44:14
Speaker 1: was traveling with him a lot. Question. How was mister
• 44:17
Speaker 1: Epstein as a boss? Answer? Terrifying He was like Jeckyl
• 44:21
Speaker 1: and Hede. He could be the most charming, like playful,
• 44:25
Speaker 1: what I consider generous at the time, Now I know
• 44:28
Speaker 1: it was more about control. You didn't want to get
• 44:31
Speaker 1: on his bad side. He could turn around at the
• 44:33
Speaker 1: drop of a hat and you would see the fire
• 44:35
Speaker 1: in his eyes. It was horrifying. I would witness him
• 44:39
Speaker 1: bring even Glaine to tears, who I thought was like
• 44:41
Speaker 1: the strongest, coldest woman I had met. And you just
• 44:45
Speaker 1: didn't want his rage turned on you. It was impossible
• 44:49
Speaker 1: to ask questions. He would get mad at you and
• 44:51
Speaker 1: be like he would tell you something to do, and
• 44:54
Speaker 1: you would try to ask for clarification, and he would
• 44:56
Speaker 1: just be like, don't ask questions, Just do exactly what
• 44:59
  Speaker 1: I say, Like there's always a reason for everything I
• 45:02
Speaker 1: tell you to do. Like you couldn't waver from that
• 45:05
Speaker 1: at all. Question in professional settings, would he cross the
• 45:09
Speaker 1: line as a boss answer? He sexually abused me on
• 45:13
Speaker 1: a weekly basis. He would come into my room at
• 45:15
Speaker 1: the house, wake me up, bless me. He would literally
• 45:18
Speaker 1: just grab me by the hand pull me to his bedroom.
• 45:21
Speaker 1: In New York, I even had my own I had
• 45:23
Speaker 1: my own apartment that he let me stay in, but
• 45:25
Speaker 1: he would call me at night and he had a
• 45:27
Speaker 1: code word and that would call me and just say
• 45:30
Speaker 1: cold sheets. And that meant I had to go to
• 45:32
Speaker 1: his house and sleep with him, and he referred to
• 45:35
Speaker 1: me as his human hot water bottle. Question did he
• 45:39
Speaker 1: ever yell at you? Answer yes? Question did he yell
• 45:42
Speaker 1: at other staff? Answer yes? Question was he inappropriate towards
• 45:46
Speaker 1: other staff? Answer in what way? Question in the manner
• 45:50
Speaker 1: you've described so far, would he direct that towards other
• 45:53
  Speaker 1: staff members as well? Answer? I don't know. I didn't
• 45:56
Speaker 1: witness any well, he would definitely yell and be little
• 45:59
Speaker 1: and get mad at them if they didn't do something
• 46:01
Speaker 1: to exact specifications. Question would he apologize afterwards? Answer never?
• 46:08
Speaker 1: He never apologized to me once for anything. Question when
• 46:12
Speaker 1: he was acting inappropriately? Were their witnesses? Miss? Ham jumps in,
• 46:16
Speaker 1: can you clarify do you mean when he was yelling
• 46:18
Speaker 1: at staff or maybe just a little bit of clarification
• 46:21
Speaker 1: on inappropriate Brignac? However you interpret the question when he
• 46:25
Speaker 1: would turn his rage on you or would act inappropriately?
• 46:29
Speaker 1: Were their witnesses? Ham? Why don't you say how you're
• 46:32
Speaker 1: interpreting the question inappropriate? Kellen I mean either the house
• 46:36
Speaker 1: staff or other assistants would have witnessed that. Brignac, did
• 46:40
Speaker 1: you ever spend time with mister Epstein apart from your
• 46:42
Speaker 1: duties as his assistant? Answer? I had a few times
• 46:46
Speaker 1: of contact with him when I stopped working for him.
• 46:48
Speaker 1: He would ask to see me sometimes in New York,
• 46:50
Speaker 1: and I would see him at the townhouse in New York,
• 46:52
Speaker 1: and I believe one time in Miami. All Right, folks,
• 46:56
Speaker 1: that's going to do it for this one. All the
• 46:58
Speaker 1: information that goes with this episode can be found in
• 47:01
  Speaker 1: the description box.
