- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a bramble jam podcast this week on your
- 0:13Speaker 1: gabble gabble. If you buy your girlfriend tickets to see
- 0:15Speaker 1: John Legend and she breaks up with you sooner for
- 0:20Speaker 1: the money, Judge Ross is.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Gonna tell us will boys be boys?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Judge Judy tells us real people justice? That's right, everybody. Hey,
- 0:35Speaker 1: going back to Judge Judy, Oh you did I can't
- 0:37Speaker 1: believe you did it. I had this weird deja vous
- 0:40Speaker 1: like you've done this case?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Is that? John? You?
- 0:42Speaker 1: Have you ever done a John Legend case? Okay?
- 0:43Speaker 2: Good?
- 0:44Speaker 1: As I was reading it, I wouldn't come near it. Yeah,
- 0:47Speaker 1: you would. You and John Legend are have not wearing
- 0:50Speaker 1: You've not been speaking four years.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Some would say forever. If someone says, and I won't,
- 0:56Speaker 2: You wouldn't if I come across him. If he if
- 1:00Speaker 2: I come across him, he has crossed me. So I
- 1:05Speaker 2: won't across him and he needn't know that chriss cross.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Hey, welcome to you, o gabble gabble. It's a TV
- 1:11Speaker 1: courtroom show where I watch an episode a case from TV.
- 1:16Speaker 1: You watch. When we tell each other about it, it's
- 1:18Speaker 1: a fun time. Leave us a rating and review. That's
- 1:20Speaker 1: how the podcast keeps going. We appreciate it. We got
- 1:25Speaker 1: two good ones this week.
- 1:26Speaker 2: We do.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna go first, please do because I'm in
- 1:29Speaker 1: Judge Ross and I want to save Judge Judy for you.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Is it purple robe or black robe?
- 1:34Speaker 2: It's black robe school old school.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I'm not I hate Judge Judy and every time I
- 1:39Speaker 1: watch her, I'm that that is my homegirl. Do you
- 1:43Speaker 1: remember when we made that T shirt? Then we sell
- 1:44Speaker 1: a single one? Yeah, aside from the one you got.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I don't know. I think we sold maybe a couple.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Let's go to Judge Ross's courtroom. Justice is not a
- 1:53Speaker 1: foreign content, overstand it. Not understanding that out of the way.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Let me tell you about Reza Hassani sue Allegra Madison.
- 2:02Speaker 1: These names sound made up. They're not. Resa Hasani is
- 2:05Speaker 1: suing Allegra Madison for twenty two one hundred dollars VIP
- 2:11Speaker 1: John Legend seats the whole experience twenty two hondo. That
- 2:17Speaker 1: is not the eighty dollars seats in the rafters. VIP
- 2:20Speaker 1: better gets you on the stage. That's right for that price.
- 2:25Speaker 1: We were dating for six months. I got us tickets
- 2:28Speaker 1: to see John Legends it all felt great at the
- 2:31Speaker 1: beginning of our relationship, but went downhill through it and
- 2:34Speaker 1: this was the last straw and she owes me my
- 2:36Speaker 1: money back. All right, Allegra says, you're on or. I
- 2:40Speaker 1: have a job I'm very passionate about and it's truly
- 2:43Speaker 1: my number one priority.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Wow.
- 2:45Speaker 1: So relationships are tough. I work in the rescue and
- 2:48Speaker 1: rehabilitation of wild animals, and Ross's has your jobs.
- 2:53Speaker 2: When those animals get wasted and they like, they get
- 2:57Speaker 2: addicted today?
- 2:59Speaker 1: The alcohol she does run an AA for animals is
- 3:02Speaker 1: triple A. It's channel Animals, Alcoholics, anonymous and people. And
- 3:08Speaker 1: I'm an alcoholic. Yeah, make it available, and she's and
- 3:15Speaker 1: and Ross says, has your job come up in other relationships?
- 3:19Speaker 1: And She's like, yeah, it has not at all, but
- 3:21Speaker 1: it has. And he goes, what do you typically hear?
- 3:23Speaker 1: What's the feedback that you get?
- 3:25Speaker 2: Typically?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Because Ross is, you know, wanting a legro to figure
- 3:29Speaker 1: out that her problem is she works too much shifts
- 3:32Speaker 1: and she says, I typically hear that I can make plans,
- 3:35Speaker 1: I can't make plans, and that I I don't stick
- 3:37Speaker 1: to my plans and people do, like my past boyfriends
- 3:41Speaker 1: have gotten real annoyed that I've made big plans and
- 3:44Speaker 1: I've bailed on this. And Ross is like, how often
- 3:48Speaker 1: has this happened with Resa? And she goes, probably a
- 3:50Speaker 1: half dozen times, probably six times. Uh. And Ross then
- 3:55Speaker 1: says that Reza Uh has given him a list of
- 3:59Speaker 1: five events, actual events, all that they paid for with
- 4:06Speaker 1: receipts paid for. She had planned on going and that
- 4:10Speaker 1: she all of a sudden couldn't show up. Is he?
- 4:12Speaker 2: But he's only suing for for John Legend and she
- 4:16Speaker 2: you know what the total amount of the other friend
- 4:19Speaker 2: she does. She admits she did that every single time.
- 4:23Speaker 2: And he's like, how do you explain yourself? And her
- 4:26Speaker 2: response is your honor, I can't tell a bear when
- 4:28Speaker 2: it needs help. I can only I can pull it
- 4:31Speaker 2: out of the barn.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Everything I can try. You can lead a horse to water,
- 4:35Speaker 1: but you can't make him stop drinking alcohol, you know
- 4:38Speaker 1: what I mean? And he's said and so uh rossly
- 4:46Speaker 1: so John Legend last Straw, and Resid is like, your honor, Like,
- 4:49Speaker 1: I'm not taking a guy friend to see John Legend.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It's a really romantic concert. There's nothing I can do.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I can't I can't use these tickets for any one
- 5:00Speaker 1: but my girlfriend and a leggers like you're on her.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I did. I took the day off. I got approved,
- 5:05Speaker 1: Like I planned to go to this concert, and I
- 5:08Speaker 1: bought a dress, and I bought a whole outfit, and
- 5:10Speaker 1: I was excited to go to this concert. But things
- 5:13Speaker 1: don't always go as you planned. That somebody called in
- 5:15Speaker 1: sick a bear needed rescuing. Fish and game were already
- 5:19Speaker 1: on the seam and they need it seen and they
- 5:20Speaker 1: needed our team their pronto. So I had to go.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I had to go. And these are some of the
- 5:27Speaker 1: just to show you that I'm not out here just
- 5:29Speaker 1: working a regular job. These are some of the pictures
- 5:31Speaker 1: of the animals we've rescued, and we see a lot
- 5:34Speaker 1: of animals of her rescuing, like giant bears out of
- 5:37Speaker 1: these situations. It's pretty crazy. Bottles and Rosco's uh so Reza,
- 5:44Speaker 1: you've seen these pictures, Like, how does that make you feel?
- 5:47Speaker 2: Like?
- 5:48Speaker 1: And he goes your honor? Like I love what she does.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I have no problem with what she does. But it's
- 5:52Speaker 1: not just time and money. This is this sentence doesn't
- 5:55Speaker 1: make any sense, which is why I wrote it down.
- 5:56Speaker 1: It's not just time and money. It's time and investment
- 5:59Speaker 1: in our relationship. And I'm like, yeah, you're right, that
- 6:03Speaker 1: is I guess different kind of but also time in
- 6:05Speaker 1: investment are kind of the same thing. And he's like,
- 6:07Speaker 1: it just keeps happening. And this was like this felt
- 6:11Speaker 1: really personal. It felt really personal. She took like we
- 6:13Speaker 1: had this thing at some point like I just felt
- 6:16Speaker 1: like we needed to, like and this was a lot
- 6:18Speaker 1: of money, and she agreed that we were going and
- 6:21Speaker 1: I had put the money down and blah blah blah.
- 6:23Speaker 2: How much do you do we know how much time?
- 6:26Speaker 2: Like how much notice he had or was it like
- 6:28Speaker 2: very last minute?
- 6:29Speaker 1: Was it earlier in the.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Day, during the day, it was that the day of event,
- 6:32Speaker 2: he couldn't there's no way, well, Vip, I mean, I
- 6:35Speaker 2: don't know.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I know John Legend. John Legend is not.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Of you.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Ross says, so, did you guys break up because of this?
- 6:45Speaker 1: And he says yeah, and he goes so basically, you're
- 6:48Speaker 1: saying because you're hurt, you're gonna hurt her, and he
- 6:51Speaker 1: res is legitimately tearing up like not like this isn't
- 6:57Speaker 1: the key's very sad, and he's like basically and then
- 7:00Speaker 1: Ross asked one question and then he's ready to rule.
- 7:03Speaker 1: He says, when you bought the tickets, what did you
- 7:08Speaker 1: specifically tell her? Did you tell her you were treating
- 7:12Speaker 1: her and you wanted to go out on this for
- 7:17Speaker 1: this concert and it was important to you and you
- 7:19Speaker 1: were buying or was this a joint decisions remains crying,
- 7:25Speaker 1: does not answer the question. Ross is ready to rule.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I don't think he's going to get any money back.
- 7:32Speaker 2: You know, at a certain point, you just you just
- 7:37Speaker 2: stop buying stuff ahead of time, right.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Yeah, either he's been, he's been, He's.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Been fooled five times before John Legend, and to go
- 7:48Speaker 2: all in on VIP that is a big commitment.
- 7:51Speaker 1: But it is one that you.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Know the risks of. You know that, uh, that your
- 7:58Speaker 2: girlfriend's job is very important to her, and I think
- 8:03Speaker 2: you know the risks. When you click that button and
- 8:06Speaker 2: buy the tickets, you are saying she is worth it,
- 8:10Speaker 2: and I will take the risk of if a bear
- 8:14Speaker 2: is absolutely schloshed and she needs to go and you
- 8:18Speaker 2: know how a big go into rehab, Like I think
- 8:21Speaker 2: that that's that's part of the deal.
- 8:23Speaker 1: It was a great joke. I can't tell it's fine. Uh, yeah,
- 8:27Speaker 1: you're right, but his thing is less that risk and
- 8:30Speaker 1: more it was a gift. It doesn't matter that you're hurt.
- 8:34Speaker 1: It was a gift. It's clearly a gift. You're not
- 8:36Speaker 1: answering the question. Your matter's dismissed because you can't ask
- 8:40Speaker 1: for a gift back unless it's a wedding ring, of course,
- 8:43Speaker 1: which we've went through this show and I do. I
- 8:45Speaker 1: will say this, this is a no win situation. I
- 8:47Speaker 1: think both sides are hurt and have a case. But
- 8:51Speaker 1: the allegra didn't strike me as someone who is taking
- 8:55Speaker 1: advantage of this guy. She struck me as someone whose
- 8:58Speaker 1: priority was clearly what it was. And Reza, you either
- 9:01Speaker 1: need to be okay with that or go no, that's
- 9:04Speaker 1: not what I need in my relationship, and you need
- 9:05Speaker 1: to leave. He didn't do those two things. I felt
- 9:09Speaker 1: bad for him, but also right, like bro, like if
- 9:13Speaker 1: you know, even if your wife has an ex girlfriend
- 9:15Speaker 1: has a day off, she can still be called in.
- 9:18Speaker 1: It's not a day off, you know that, And and
- 9:21Speaker 1: so you either need to be just cool with that
- 9:23Speaker 1: or not cool with that, or pay for the ticket insurance,
- 9:26Speaker 1: or pay for the ticket insurance, which I didn't even
- 9:29Speaker 1: know is a thing I don't really do come.
- 9:30Speaker 2: It is that maybe not when this case took place,
- 9:33Speaker 2: so he didn't overstand it and now he does and
- 9:35Speaker 2: will better for it.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Let's have to judge Judy.
- 9:37Speaker 2: I love it.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Juda d A walt A Walter A Walter.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Davis, Walter Davis suing a. Joseph Senior. I don't actually
- 9:47Speaker 2: have his last name.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Joe for eighteen forty eighteen and forty bucks. Got it.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Now, both Walter and Joseph Senior have their sons in
- 10:03Speaker 2: the courtroom, Joe Jr.
- 10:05Speaker 1: And Brian.
- 10:06Speaker 2: They are both in the courtroom and the case revolves
- 10:11Speaker 2: entirely around these two boys. And so we're going to
- 10:13Speaker 2: start with the boys.
- 10:15Speaker 1: They're fifteen and got it.
- 10:19Speaker 2: So they're going to tell their stories, and then the
- 10:22Speaker 2: parents are going to plead their cases. So Walter's son
- 10:27Speaker 2: Brian is up first, and Brian Davis explains that one
- 10:31Speaker 2: day he was outside with his friends. He had his
- 10:35Speaker 2: he had his little Boa Constrictor with him.
- 10:37Speaker 1: He had his pet Boa constrict.
- 10:40Speaker 2: I hate it and uh he says that he was,
- 10:45Speaker 2: you know, playing around with it, and he was acting
- 10:48Speaker 2: like he was going to put it on Joseph, Joe Jr.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Joe Jr.
- 10:55Speaker 2: That is when Joseph through the slushy that he had
- 11:01Speaker 2: in his hand on to Brian.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Mmm, his icy snakes alive.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Snakes alive. Yeah, this isn't about the The snake is
- 11:09Speaker 2: made about snake. Snake lives through it. So Brian, now
- 11:14Speaker 2: a little bit upset, goes and puts the snake in
- 11:18Speaker 2: its aquarium in the garage, goes and grabs a cup
- 11:21Speaker 2: of water. It's a in an aquarium, yeah, like a
- 11:24Speaker 2: water water, just the a terrarium. They call it an aquarium.
- 11:30Speaker 2: So I just went with it. Yeah, I guess the
- 11:33Speaker 2: aqua does.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Yeah, you get it.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys are right.
- 11:40Speaker 1: So uh.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I again, I don't know if the snake is it's
- 11:43Speaker 2: a water.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I don't know if the snake and swim.
- 11:46Speaker 1: That's not for me. They don't so uh.
- 11:50Speaker 2: He then grabs a cup of water to go and
- 11:53Speaker 2: throw on Joseph. Joseph when he gets back, has a
- 11:57Speaker 2: cup as well with something in it. Joseph says, if
- 12:01Speaker 2: you throw that on me, I'll throw this on you.
- 12:04Speaker 2: And Brian as though he's able to hold Joseph's arm
- 12:08Speaker 2: down and pour the water into Joseph's face. Yeah, are
- 12:13Speaker 2: you tracking? Yeah, retaliation, retaliation. So then Joseph runs off.
- 12:18Speaker 1: All right.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Later, Joseph comes out of the house with a full
- 12:24Speaker 2: bottle of bleach.
- 12:25Speaker 1: All right, okay, well, Joe Junior, you started this one, well,
- 12:31Speaker 1: started it with a snake. Yes.
- 12:33Speaker 2: So Brian then sees this happening and begins to run
- 12:38Speaker 2: towards his house. He opens up the door and before
- 12:42Speaker 2: he can close the door, Brian uh feels uh falls over.
- 12:48Speaker 1: It's done, We've done it. Fall has fallen.
- 12:53Speaker 2: As long as the Olympus hays as well, and wow
- 12:58Speaker 2: and rom Olympus. God where else white, the whitest, white,
- 13:05Speaker 2: white house is down, white house down. Everybody. We're having fun.
- 13:10Speaker 2: So Joseph, Joseph tries to run in and uh, Brian,
- 13:15Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Brian tries to run in.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Joseph be able to stop the door before he closes it,
- 13:19Speaker 2: and Brian claims that bleach then landed on his shirt
- 13:24Speaker 2: and on the carpet. M Brian's mom comes down the stairs.
- 13:31Speaker 2: She's not in the courtroom, and Joseph runs off. Joseph
- 13:36Speaker 2: is now ready to share his side of the story.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Joseph says, Brian had a snake. The snake is hissing,
- 13:41Speaker 2: the snake is snapping. Makes me uncomfortable. I don't think
- 13:46Speaker 2: so makes me uncomfortable. I told him to put that
- 13:49Speaker 2: thing away, and he put it in my face. He
- 13:54Speaker 2: goes to bring the snake inside, and Joseph went to
- 13:57Speaker 2: grab soda. They're hanging out friends. Pours some soda in
- 14:02Speaker 2: a cup. He comes back and Brian is like, what's
- 14:06Speaker 2: in your cup? He knocks it out of my hand
- 14:08Speaker 2: and pours it, pours his cup on me. I assumed
- 14:13Speaker 2: what was in the cup cup was bleach, because it's uh,
- 14:19Speaker 2: my genes begin to have a little bit of a
- 14:21Speaker 2: yellow faded spot. It's possible that it could have come
- 14:24Speaker 2: from my soda. But I thought that he had bleach
- 14:27Speaker 2: in the in a cup that he looked like he
- 14:29Speaker 2: was walking.
- 14:31Speaker 1: He can't remember. Brian admits to coming with a with
- 14:34Speaker 1: a cup of anything. He's drunk. He thought that went
- 14:37Speaker 1: in and got a cup of bleach.
- 14:38Speaker 2: That's exactly right. So because of that, I went in
- 14:42Speaker 2: grabbed the bleach for myself.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I come out, I run after him.
- 14:46Speaker 2: We end up inside of his house, which is a
- 14:49Speaker 2: very different story than what Brian. Brian said it happened
- 14:52Speaker 2: at the doorway. He ends up in the house, running
- 14:55Speaker 2: all around. He says that Brian tackled me, causing bleach
- 15:00Speaker 2: to go everywhere.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I didn't pour the bleach.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I didn't throw the bleach on him. Judy, it is,
- 15:08Speaker 2: Jody asked Brian's dad Walter. Jody does why. I'm sorry, Judy.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Judy asks Brian's dad Walter, why Brian has a snake.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Walter says he likes snakes. He keeps it in the
- 15:21Speaker 2: terrarium in the garage. Judy says, not on that day.
- 15:26Speaker 2: He didn't get him.
- 15:27Speaker 1: He said, but it's his pet.
- 15:29Speaker 2: He says, that's true, but based on what I heard
- 15:32Speaker 2: from his little brother Sean, who saw the whole thing.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Shawn is in the quarter as well. He sits there.
- 15:37Speaker 2: He does not say a thing. Uh, little brother Sean,
- 15:41Speaker 2: he saw the whole thing. Brian's telling the truth. Joseph
- 15:44Speaker 2: speaks up and says Sean wasn't even there. Judy says,
- 15:48Speaker 2: your son was acting like a fool that day, putting
- 15:50Speaker 2: a snake in that kid's face. You think Joseph's father
- 15:54Speaker 2: should pay for the damages to your rug. Walter says, yes,
- 15:58Speaker 2: since Joseph is a minor, it's his father's responsibility for
- 16:02Speaker 2: what happened when his son broke into our home. Judy
- 16:07Speaker 2: and Joseph at the same time say broke into your home,
- 16:11Speaker 2: and then Judy tells Joseph to shut up and gets cavalosh.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Walter says that the door was closed and Joseph opened it,
- 16:21Speaker 2: came in and poured bleached to my carpet. Good god,
- 16:24Speaker 2: Judy says, but who start is? Walter says, there's different stories.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Judy says, no, it's the same story at the beginning.
- 16:30Speaker 2: It's all started with a snake in the face. I'm
- 16:33Speaker 2: assuming that you thought that your son was responsible enough
- 16:36Speaker 2: to have a boa constrictor. If you're not a snake lover,
- 16:41Speaker 2: do you think that you would enjoy having a snake
- 16:43Speaker 2: placed right in front of your face? Walter says no.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Joseph Senior now finally speaks up and asked to share,
- 16:51Speaker 2: and he says, I want it on the record that
- 16:55Speaker 2: the police were called on this mat. Oh my gosh,
- 16:57Speaker 2: And Judy says, why did you call the police Walter
- 16:59Speaker 2: and Walter says, I just told you why. Judy says,
- 17:03Speaker 2: I see a bill for the carpets for seventeen twenty.
- 17:07Speaker 2: What's the other one hundred and twenty dollars for? And
- 17:09Speaker 2: he says it's for the clothes that he stayed with
- 17:11Speaker 2: the bleach. Joseph Senior says he also wants it on
- 17:14Speaker 2: the record that he wanted to settle this outside of
- 17:17Speaker 2: court like neighbors. But then Walter pressed charges against his
- 17:21Speaker 2: son from vandalism and a salts. He didn't deserve that,
- 17:25Speaker 2: and so I'm here today to try to stick up
- 17:27Speaker 2: for him. Obviously he shouldn't have done what he what
- 17:31Speaker 2: he did, but I don't think he deserves to have
- 17:34Speaker 2: a record because of And this is tough. Judge Judy
- 17:37Speaker 2: is ready to rule. It's tough because I sided with
- 17:40Speaker 2: Joe and them.
- 17:41Speaker 1: It's clear Walter was the word like you should be
- 17:44Speaker 1: able to look, you know, if our kids were sixteen
- 17:47Speaker 1: and did this, I'm like, we but our kids are stupid,
- 17:49Speaker 1: Like I would just be like, my kids should have
- 17:51Speaker 1: been should have done he did? Your kids should have
- 17:52Speaker 1: known what he did and we'd have figured it out.
- 17:54Speaker 1: That's right, And so it pains me that they're in
- 17:57Speaker 1: court having said that. Now that they're in court, one
- 18:02Speaker 1: dude damage property, And he didn't damage property directly because
- 18:09Speaker 1: a snake was in his face. He didn't. If I'm
- 18:12Speaker 1: the judge, the snake thing is a BS move. He
- 18:15Speaker 1: should have never done it. That's brutal. But that did
- 18:19Speaker 1: not lead to bleach on carpet directly. It led to
