- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Hi, and thank you for joining us for this episode of Assassin's Sips.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Today we are venturing into season three of Good Girls, episode one, find your beach.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: I'm Lisa, and I am actually only sipping on coffee because I went to a wedding last night and I don't know how I'm like awake right now, but yeah, so I got coffee.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: And it's not that good.
- 0:41SPEAKER_02: Oh no.
- 0:43SPEAKER_02: Oh gosh, I'm so sorry for your pain.
- 0:46SPEAKER_02: And I'm Agnes, and I am only sipping on my homemade green tea matcha latte with my matcha code foam.
- 0:56SPEAKER_02: I do it myself.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: I'm so excited.
- 0:59SPEAKER_02: Nice.
- 1:00SPEAKER_02: And it's funny how the title is Find Your Beach.
- 1:04SPEAKER_02: And we found our beaches with one another.
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's funny.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: So how takes.
- 1:14SPEAKER_02: Wait, let's start off with we finished two seasons thus far.
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: How do you feel?
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: What are your feelings?
- 1:26SPEAKER_02: I know I'm being a little silly.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: Well, I think I don't know.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: I'm enjoying the show.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Although I I did get um I did take some shade the other night because the ladies, the lady members of my family were comparing, we're talking about TV shows, and they were talking about Jacks from Sons of Anarchy.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: And like, you know, how Hadi is.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: And then uh we we were talking about good girls, and I was like, Yeah, Rio's cute too.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: And they're like, oh, okay.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: And then when I put on this episode to watch for the podcast, Alex is like, him.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: He was like, that's the guy you're like is so cute.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, it's his personality, it's just just like ha.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: It's dangerous and sexy and he was like, what is it?
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: The the tattoos?
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: And I was like, tattoos don't hurt.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: Tattoos do not hurt at all.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: He was just like, whatever.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: You should tell him.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: Oh, I can't wait till we get to the episode.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: I think um the episode in question is in this season.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: After this research, and you're gonna have to have your husband say for us to record, get in the car, Elizabeth.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: And be like, this is why I find him sexy.
- 2:54SPEAKER_02: Like, you know what I mean?
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: I have a hot take.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Hot take, hot take, hot take.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: We're gonna have to bring back the shovel scale for Beth.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Seriously.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: What the fuck is she thinking?
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: She just doesn't know how to fucking stop.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: But but I'm glad that at least every time that I've been thinking it, and like, what the fuck?
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: When Ruby and Annie says something, yeah, they give her the face that I was giving her, so I'm like, okay, yeah.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: It's just not me.
- 3:32SPEAKER_02: No.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: And also, um, the chick that plays Ray.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Uh can't remember her name, Jackie.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: I think, but I I like that actress.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: When you said pull out the shovel, I just had like a twinge because I just got back in from shoveling.
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: No, when we're expecting eight to eleven inches of snow, and when it's that much, you have to shovel like a little bit throughout the day, right?
- 3:59SPEAKER_02: Especially when you're a single woman that has to shovel by herself.
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: You don't want to do eight inches of snow in one shot as you're walking out the door to go to work.
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: Actually, no, it's supposed to stop snowing by tonight.
- 4:11SPEAKER_02: I'm off tomorrow, so by Monday it should be cleared.
- 4:14SPEAKER_02: I'm like, if anyone calls out today, I not my problem, not leaving the house.
- 4:22SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 4:22SPEAKER_02: So let's let's do this.
- 4:24SPEAKER_02: Let's do this.
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: So this episode opens with Beth giving a monologue on the shock of death.
- 4:39SPEAKER_02: I have a feeling Beth is actually a favorite person right now.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: It's just like I don't know.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Like the episode was good, but the beginning just kind of like I don't know.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm I'm kind of getting tired of the Beth show a little bit.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: And and the whole episode, she just kind of like ticked me off.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: But okay, okay, that's it.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: Because the whole thing is like she's giving this dramatic fucking monologue about death and what it means, and somebody is just gone, and it's because she's working in like a little gift shop, and somebody wanted to buy a fucking card for somebody else's employee who died, or some shit like that.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: Like it wasn't that serious, Beth.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Like, well, it just wasn't.
- 5:29SPEAKER_02: I think it was so dramatic for her because in her eyes, she killed a man.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: So I think she's just taking it to a whole new level because you know, death that you've caused is different, I guess.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: I already know.
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: I don't do those kind of things anymore.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Um, I mean, I get it with the fake outs, and I and I do for the most part enjoy the fake outs where it's like they're trying to make you think one thing, but it's another.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: But this one just seems wasn't necessary.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: Like dramatic for the sake of being dramatic, not because there was any real value in it.
- 6:03SPEAKER_02: I think it was just because it was funny.
- 6:05SPEAKER_02: They tried too hard.
- 6:05SPEAKER_02: I think I think it was just funny, like her monologue and maybe it just went on too long for me.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: Maybe, and then the girls look at her like, bitch.
- 6:15SPEAKER_02: And I think that part was kind of it was for humor making fun of her murder, I guess.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:26SPEAKER_02: So backtracking a little bit, you see Beth giving her a monologue about death and the dimming of the lights of the eyes, and then next scene, you see Annie driving this really hot sports car.
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: And Ruby is working in a nail salon, and you're like, what the fuck is going on here, right?
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: And then it comes to find out that Ruby works in the nail salon so she can get the acetone.
- 6:56SPEAKER_02: Um, Annie is an actual chemicals.
- 7:00SPEAKER_02: Annie is a valet and she needs this like this the tips, the singles from the tips.
- 7:06SPEAKER_02: And like you said, Beth is just working at a card shop, an art to craft card shop.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: A little like stationary gift shop.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Stationary style, right?
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: So you're like, okay, this kind of makes sense.
- 7:21SPEAKER_02: Because at the end of the last episode, they were talking about we can do this without him.
- 7:27SPEAKER_02: And she had shown them the prototype.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: The prototype.
- 7:31SPEAKER_02: And she's like, no, it'd be fine.
- 7:33SPEAKER_02: We could we'll get better equipment and we can do this.
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: So this is the beginning of how they're going to do it.
- 7:40SPEAKER_02: The purpose of Beth working at the stationery store so they can use all that fun and cool equipment.
- 7:46SPEAKER_02: And you meet her new coworker.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: She's talking, she's actually, she's like, Mommy loves you.
- 7:51SPEAKER_02: And I'm thinking, okay, where's the cat at?
- 7:53SPEAKER_02: And it's a bird.
- 7:54SPEAKER_02: I'm like, okay, same premise.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: A ju.
- 7:57SPEAKER_02: And that actually made me want some roast beef at that moment.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: I like her.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: She she's from uh house.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: I'm sure she's in other things, but I remember her from house.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: House, that the later seasons once everyone got fired.
- 8:13SPEAKER_02: Um, do we get a uh a surprise, not a surprise, but a cameo appearance for my friend, the the cash advanced guy.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I can't think of his name, but I love that they go to him for help.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because that they have they they have a bond, you know.
- 8:31SPEAKER_02: He they kidnapped him.
- 8:32SPEAKER_02: They're they're buddies now.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 8:36SPEAKER_02: And he he's looking over the money.
- 8:39SPEAKER_02: He's like, eh, not bad.
- 8:41SPEAKER_02: They're like, Well, what's the eh?
- 8:43SPEAKER_02: And he's like, This is off by seven millimeters, micrometers, and this is microns.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 8:50SPEAKER_02: He used the fancy words, yeah.
- 8:52SPEAKER_02: Right, big words, multi-syllable words, and we don't know, we don't care.
- 8:57SPEAKER_02: And they're like, just put it in.
- 8:58SPEAKER_02: He goes, So before they put into the machine, he's like, Oh, it has a nice little sparkle to it, has the right spark.
- 9:06SPEAKER_02: She goes, one part this shade, and one part this shade.
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: And you're like, Okay, they they're putting work into this, and I'm kind of proud of them.
- 9:15SPEAKER_02: So he throws into the machine, of course.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: And he's like, Oh, and the feel is right, and she's like, Yeah, scrabble tiles and scrabble tiles, right?
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: And then fluff and then dry.
- 9:25SPEAKER_02: I was like, Oh, and uh, and the fact he rubs it against his neck, he catches all process.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, I'm so curious to how many people watched this episode and then went and got a kiddie pool and tried to do the shit themselves.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Um I'm just saying.
- 9:48SPEAKER_02: I'm pretty sure the ones.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: Like you know that there are some dumb motherfuckers out there who went and did that shit.
- 9:53SPEAKER_02: But okay, fine.
- 9:54SPEAKER_02: But they also the same ones that didn't have the equipment of a stationery store to actually reprint it.
- 10:01SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: Or the skills to do with Google.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: Google, yeah, but I just feel like I don't think the show is going to give you the exact instructions on how to counterfeit money.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: So that's it.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: But even with that said, I'm pretty sure they even.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 10:27unknown: Right.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, nail polishing.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Like they they probably put a pan in the oven.
- 10:32unknown: Right.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: Like from even from the last episode.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: They like I just I'm sure somebody did that.
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: But anyway.
- 10:40SPEAKER_02: So obviously the bill didn't pass mustard, and it's really because of the artwork.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: But we digressed a little bit.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: The next scene is Ruby in her car with her with lunch, I'm assuming it's lunch, with food on the seat next to her, and she's looking at this building, and she's bringing Stan food, bringing him lunch, dinner, and he is now a bouncer at a gentleman's club.
- 11:03SPEAKER_02: Just to be nice about it.
- 11:04SPEAKER_02: Yep, stanimal.
- 11:06SPEAKER_02: Stannimal.
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: Ruby's not liking it too much.
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: I personally am of the opinion of, yeah, if they want to pay you to show your naked body, if they want to be dumbasses and pay for your schooling and your rent by you shaking a little titty, more power to you.
- 11:26SPEAKER_02: And I really think stripping and all that, and and sex work and all that should be unionized.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: But that's just my personal opinion.
- 11:33SPEAKER_02: But they probably get more taxes taken out, so that might not work in their favor.
- 11:37SPEAKER_02: But anyway, um, oh, did you know?
- 11:42SPEAKER_02: Okay, so there's this documentary on um what is that club in Atlanta?
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: Can't remember the name of the club.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: It'll come to me.
- 11:51unknown: I have no.
- 11:51SPEAKER_02: It's a famous strip club.
- 11:52SPEAKER_02: Everyone knows it.
- 11:53SPEAKER_02: Like, if you if I said the name, you're like, oh yeah, we know that name.
- 11:56SPEAKER_02: Why can't I seem to know it?
- 11:58SPEAKER_02: Um, I can't think of it.
- 11:59SPEAKER_02: But maybe I'm not everyone.
- 12:01SPEAKER_02: They're dancer.
- 12:02SPEAKER_02: It's kind of like the Atlanta version of Leg Diamonds, you know, it's just one of those.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: I guess I'm not up to speed on my strip clubs because I don't know that one either.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Didn't we go to Legs Diamond?
- 12:12SPEAKER_02: No, we went to I don't know what it was called.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: I think we went to Legs Diamonds.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Do you think I went to a strip club and paid attention to the name of the place?
- 12:20SPEAKER_02: Well, you should because you wouldn't know if it's high-end or not.
- 12:23SPEAKER_02: So yeah.
- 12:24SPEAKER_02: Okay, that's just okay.
- 12:25SPEAKER_02: Anyway, dancers can make like$4,000 a night on average.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: You know, they're but I'm not getting paid, so it didn't matter to me.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: So I'm thinking Okay.
- 12:37SPEAKER_02: I forgot the purpose of the story now.
- 12:40SPEAKER_02: Um, I don't know.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I've definitely hit the I'm in the wrong.
- 12:46SPEAKER_02: I missed my calling.
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: I should have been a dancer making$4,000 a night.
- 12:50SPEAKER_02: But anyway, there was a purpose to that story.
- 12:53SPEAKER_02: It was leading somewhere, but I don't remember.
- 12:56SPEAKER_02: You'll remember later.
- 12:58SPEAKER_02: Probably not.
- 12:59SPEAKER_02: Um, Ruby is definitely feeling some type of way by naked women being all nice to her husband.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but they still feel she was uncomfortable, but she had, you know, yeah, she was okay.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: And but I think that also she handled it well because he understands.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: Yes, and so he, you know, when they're coming in, they're like on him and talking to him and stand animal, and he's just like like he he's got eyes for her for Ruby, yeah.
- 13:34SPEAKER_02: He's keeping them professional and all that other fun stuff.
- 13:38SPEAKER_02: I mean, to be fair, most of these women just want to do their job and go home to their to their, you know, but that's just yeah, yeah.
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: You see, next time you see Beth, and I don't know if you've noticed the turn of her household, her kitchen isn't like Martha Stewart clean anymore.
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: Um, she's telling the kids they put the shoes on, so they go to the park and they're like, our socks are dirty.
- 14:02SPEAKER_02: She goes, Turn them inside out.
- 14:03SPEAKER_02: She goes, We did that already.
- 14:05SPEAKER_02: So um the state of where she's at is not where it used to be.
- 14:11SPEAKER_02: Is it because you know she killed a man?
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: Is it because he just doesn't give a fuck anymore?
- 14:16SPEAKER_02: Is he just too busy making trying to get the right mixture of fake money?
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but there's also two working parents now who who work outside the home.
- 14:27SPEAKER_02: Well, that too.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: But yeah, um, there was a whole I was going through a whole litany of the stuff.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: Oh no, I know, but I'm just saying, like I I feel like just let's not forget the obvious.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: You know what I'm saying?
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: Sole job is to stay home and do that stuff.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: Even Dean figured it out after a day.
- 15:15SPEAKER_02: After a we'll say we're assuming it's a day or so, you know, we don't know.
- 15:19SPEAKER_02: After a scene, after a scene.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: So we find out that they're about four months behind their mortgage.
- 15:29SPEAKER_02: And Dean goes, you know, the kids are are OD on the park lately.
- 15:33SPEAKER_02: She goes, It's free.
- 15:34SPEAKER_02: Which is true, it's free.
- 15:36SPEAKER_02: Keep them entertained.
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: So she's sitting at the park, the kids are playing, she's she's talking to a new friend.
- 15:44SPEAKER_02: I think she was talking about her son who was afraid of the soccer ball.
- 15:47SPEAKER_02: She's like, It keeps hitting my foot.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: She's like, That's the point.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: And she's like, Well, I'll talk to the coach.
- 15:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: Oh, sorry.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: I also kind of felt like, yeah, we heard the whole like, but it's free.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: But then when we get to the park and we kind of see what happens at the park, I felt like that's why the kids are OD on the park.
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: Because well, yeah, of course, Lisa.
- 16:12SPEAKER_02: He was bringing them there.
- 16:14SPEAKER_02: What?
- 16:14SPEAKER_02: I was like, well, yeah, that's what I was getting to.
- 16:16SPEAKER_02: Like, and then you find out who at this point you still don't know who her new friend is and all that fun stuff.
- 16:25SPEAKER_02: And then the friend's son runs up, and it's done as Pup.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: It's um Rio's son.
- 16:32SPEAKER_02: What's his name again?
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: I don't know, Pop.
- 16:36SPEAKER_02: I call him Pop.
- 16:37SPEAKER_02: And then that's when you realize oh, new mom is Rio's baby mama.
- 16:44SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: Pup's mom, dog.
- 16:47unknown: No.
- 16:50SPEAKER_02: I was gonna call her lady and then Rio's the tramp.
- 16:54SPEAKER_02: Lady and the tramp?
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 16:57SPEAKER_02: And that's when we're all like, uh-huh.
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: She's just not being nice for no reason.
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: Because you have to admit, all the other moms you're sending to have a certain look about them, and this other mom is different than the other moms in the past.
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: I'm going with say it.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: All the other moms before in the park, all the white ladies.
- 17:14SPEAKER_02: And she's like, why is she making you know?
- 17:16SPEAKER_02: So it's it's kind of obvious when you're watching it what the storyline is going to go to, but oh, as I was saying it before, she was telling her about how she'll talk to the coach and getting the son, pup, on the team for the soccer team.
- 17:36SPEAKER_02: Because there's a reason the whole soccer thing comes up later.
- 17:41SPEAKER_02: Then we see our favorite FBI agent.
- 17:44SPEAKER_02: Can you say favorite and FBI agent at the same time?
- 17:46SPEAKER_02: I think at one point you could now.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: Unless it's Shamar Moore.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: I don't think you can.
- 17:51SPEAKER_02: Well, now you can't at all.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: Any government agent at this point.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: I think I'd be okay with that.
- 18:02SPEAKER_02: Who?
- 18:02SPEAKER_02: Shamar Moore.
- 18:04SPEAKER_02: Oh, I didn't hear the first part.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah.
- 18:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:09SPEAKER_02: I don't, yeah.
- 18:10SPEAKER_02: FBI H and I don't nothing at all or whatever.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Um his mom has MS.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: I did not.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: I guess he forgot to tell me that on our last phone call.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: I'm sure you guys had other more important things to discuss in that phone call.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, obviously.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: You know.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: So our favorite FBI agent.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: Is that kind of delusional?
- 18:39SPEAKER_02: No, not delusional at all.
- 18:42SPEAKER_02: So I want to say this.
- 18:43SPEAKER_02: It's just gonna like give me the eye.
- 18:46SPEAKER_02: FBI agent Timmy Turner.
- 18:49SPEAKER_02: It's Jimmy, I know, but like Timmy Turner.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: It's funny.
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: He's going through a hotel with a bag of food, and he's just swaggering in like he's the king of the world, and he opens up the room, and as we kind of surmise, Rio is in there, which is not a good one.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: As soon as we walked into that building, we knew what it was.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: Yes, as soon as the building is where Rio's at.
- 19:19SPEAKER_02: Not a surprise at all.
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: And so Rio is his comp his CI, giving him all the scoop on all the illegal activities.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: Um, rival competitors, possibly.
- 19:37SPEAKER_02: Um and he asks, and they're talking.
- 19:41SPEAKER_02: He goes, No, what do you want?
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: He goes, pistons, season tickets, courtside.
- 19:48SPEAKER_02: He's like, no, seriously.
- 19:49SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I think he is serious, and he's looking out the window all longing, and you know, that's a red flag.
- 19:56SPEAKER_02: Because when does Rio look out a window, looking longingly out a window at anything?
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: And he says, a beach and a beer with a single chair.
- 20:08SPEAKER_02: He's like, okay, you know, and you know.
- 20:12SPEAKER_02: I mean, he's basically describing a corona commercial, but yes, basically, not basically really that's exactly a commercial, a corona commercial, and I'm here for it.
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: I mean, that was the first thing I thought of when he was describing it.
- 20:23SPEAKER_02: Same anyway.
- 20:25SPEAKER_02: Because the agent forgets that he's talking to a career criminal, once again, career criminal, and I think he forgets who Rio is, but anyway, and he just takes it at face value.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: Well, I think that that could go one of two ways.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: Either you can look at it logically and think, okay, well, if there's no prior history between them, Rio is all recovered.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: He had two fucking gunshots to the chest.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: Clearly, it has been a minute since that happened to now, right?
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: So it's at least four months, we can guesstimate, because yeah, I was gonna say at least two months, but probably closer to more.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: You know, it's normal human behavior that the first time you do something, you're cautious, whether it's walking down a street or dealing with your CI or whatever.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: And then, but every time you successfully complete said task, you let your guard down a little because it's not as scary and you're you're more familiar with your surroundings and the outcomes, right?
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: And so, like Rio says, Oh, do this, he does that, works well.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Next, next works well.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: So each time it seems like he's been going after and going after, right?
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: Like, what what else?
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: And what else?
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: And what else?
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: And and so you're gonna go on that train of thought.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: It's like, okay, well, then clearly they've been working together for a while, things have been going well, so maybe the agent is thinking, like, all right, cool, like this is working, he's letting his guard down, and Rio is counting on it.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: Or, and I don't know because not to get too far ahead, but the aftermath, I'm like, okay, maybe it doesn't lend well to my theory, but it's not impossible still that there is some prior history between them.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: And I don't know.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: You you your video just moved.
- 22:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because I it the fact that you just really c it's automatic now.
- 22:37SPEAKER_02: It updated.
- 22:38SPEAKER_02: So now like it automatically zooms.
- 22:41SPEAKER_02: Like my phone does.
- 22:43SPEAKER_02: It automatically zooms basically.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: So I don't know.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: Like I think that it's less likely that that's the case, but but I don't think it's impossible still.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:56SPEAKER_02: I don't remember which way it lies, but okay.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: You don't I I I'm not looking for confusion or denial.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: I'm just putting it out there.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: Copy that because you're not gonna get it because I don't remember.
- 23:09SPEAKER_02: So I'm glad you're not looking for it.
- 23:11unknown: Because I don't.
- 23:14SPEAKER_02: We next see Annie with her son.
- 23:17SPEAKER_02: They're chilling, and there's a knock on the door.
- 23:21SPEAKER_02: And some random dude.
- 23:24SPEAKER_02: He's like, hey.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: And she's like, hey.
- 23:27SPEAKER_02: I have my own question about this after I set up the scene.
- 23:32SPEAKER_02: And he's like, um, so he's talking.
- 23:35SPEAKER_02: She's like, Do I know you?
- 23:38SPEAKER_02: And he's like, Yeah, it's I don't remember if it was Chris or Kevin at this point, but it's one of those names.
- 23:43SPEAKER_02: And she's like, Andy.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, she I think she called him Chris and Chris, and she was like, It's Kevin, right?
- 23:49SPEAKER_02: He goes, Yeah, you hit my car on the interstate.
- 23:53SPEAKER_02: And she's like, I'm gonna need more than that, right?
- 23:56SPEAKER_02: He goes, and we exchanged.
- 23:58SPEAKER_02: And the fact he's having this conversation with her kid there, like, there's no booth at all.
- 24:03SPEAKER_02: He goes, We exchange insurance information, and she's like, uh-huh.
- 24:07SPEAKER_02: And he goes, in the back of my car, and that's what she was like, Oh, yeah, Chris.
- 24:11SPEAKER_02: He's like, No, Kevin.
- 24:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and he continues, like, yeah, I was wondering if we can, you know, hang out.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: And she's like, Yeah, yeah, but you said let's do this again sometime.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: She's like, the statutes of libertations has really have passed since then.
- 24:26SPEAKER_02: And of course, her son is like, yeah, I'm out.
- 24:29SPEAKER_02: My question, and she slams, she closes the door in his face.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: But my thing is if they have exchanged insurance information back with the car, how did you know where she lived?
- 24:38SPEAKER_02: Like, did they finish it?
- 24:39SPEAKER_02: Did they she take him back to her house to finish the exchanging of insurance information?
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: No, I'm sure he saw her her address on her license.
- 24:47SPEAKER_02: That makes it even more weird.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: Well, the guy was weird, like he yeah.
- 24:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that whole that whole thing was just creepy.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: But I I like what where the conversation goes because um was it now where say where Annie is like, I'm done with all this.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: That was later, blah blah blah.
- 25:09SPEAKER_02: That was later.
- 25:11SPEAKER_02: All right, um, that was the end of that scene.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: The next scene we have Stan coming home from work and she he picks up his son and he goes, You smell like sweet tarts.
- 25:23SPEAKER_02: And he goes, Yeah, just uh, you know, what did he say?
- 25:26SPEAKER_02: It's hazard of the job.
- 25:28SPEAKER_02: Hazard of the job.
- 25:29SPEAKER_02: Right, a hazard of the job.
- 25:30SPEAKER_02: He goes, protecting the president, and his daughter goes, he's protecting the mayor.
- 25:34SPEAKER_02: And I think it's hysterical because probably not far off.
- 25:39SPEAKER_02: Um, I'm pretty sure the mayor is there too.
- 25:42SPEAKER_02: Um, before we even get to this part, Ruby's and her daughter are at the table, she's having her take her medicine, and she goes, but it makes me gag.
- 25:53SPEAKER_02: And this is an ongoing issue throughout this episode with she doesn't take in her medicine, it makes her gag.
- 25:59SPEAKER_02: I think at one point they're so big.
- 26:02SPEAKER_02: They're big.
- 26:02SPEAKER_02: I get it.
- 26:04SPEAKER_02: I get it.
- 26:04SPEAKER_02: I do.
- 26:05SPEAKER_02: That being said, I think after a certain point, because she's this is more than this is not the first time taking the medicine.
- 26:13SPEAKER_02: We're assuming she's taking this medicine for longer than five minutes, right?
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: At this point, at this point, at the as Ruby, I would have been take the medicine or die.
- 26:24SPEAKER_02: You take your pick.
- 26:25SPEAKER_02: Like, I think I would have got annoyed by her refusal of taking the pill and her revied life depends on it.
- 26:33SPEAKER_02: I would have just lost my shit by this point.
- 26:35SPEAKER_02: Like, take the medicine, die your choice.
- 26:38SPEAKER_02: At this point, pick one.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: But that's just me.
- 26:42SPEAKER_02: I don't have much of a tolerance for, you know.
- 26:46SPEAKER_02: So the kids obviously do not know what he does.
- 26:48SPEAKER_02: Um, they assuming he protects the mayor.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: And and he smells like sweet hearts because they like candy.
- 26:59SPEAKER_02: He goes, Yes, I'm sure they all love their candy.
- 27:02SPEAKER_02: I'm pretty sure one of the stripper's name is candy too.
- 27:04SPEAKER_02: But that's besides that's besides the point.
- 27:07SPEAKER_02: Okay, the next scene, Beth pulls into a parking spot and it made my teeth, make my skin itch because she parked all jacked up.
- 27:16SPEAKER_02: It wasn't like end the line.
- 27:18SPEAKER_02: And it bothered me.
- 27:19SPEAKER_02: They're like, we need to meet, like, haven't you learned your lesson?
- 27:22SPEAKER_02: We don't bring anyone else in.
- 27:23SPEAKER_02: Like, but you like her, she's cool.
- 27:26SPEAKER_02: And she's like, but she could be another Mary Pat.
- 27:28SPEAKER_02: Like, oh, did you learn a lesson about the last person you brought in?
- 27:32SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: Um they're like, but she doesn't know, and Mary Pat didn't know either.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: And she didn't hear this, and she doesn't even know.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: And you know, they're just like going back and forth, but you don't know why.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: You just know, like, there's a back and forth, like pro-then.
- 27:46SPEAKER_02: She says, We need an artist.
- 27:49SPEAKER_02: And then she goes, and Annie goes, Well, I can do it.
- 27:55SPEAKER_02: I just need, you know, any more time.
- 27:56SPEAKER_02: She goes, she goes, she went to school, like, she has a degree in graphic design.
- 28:01SPEAKER_02: She goes, I can do that.
- 28:03SPEAKER_02: And Ruby goes, You mean after you finish high school and then apply for college, and then actually go to college.
- 28:10SPEAKER_02: Then she goes, she goes, like, it's a trade.
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: And I find that funny because I'm watching it today, after now, where a certain administration wants to make all these professions that are mostly women-dominated professions, no longer professions, like they're just a trait.
- 28:34SPEAKER_02: Anyway, anywho, I just find it funny, but ironic rather.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: So they go in and they meet her friend who's kind of cool, and then you see her lining up her mini, her miniature likes condiments and her seasonings, and then she switches it around, like it's yeah, and she was like, and the gang's all here.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: And Maris walked in, and she was like, So which one is house and which one is chase?
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: And she's like, which one is foreman?
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: He's like, is that the gang that she's talking about?
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: I was like, I don't know, but maybe.
- 29:10unknown: Yeah.
- 29:11SPEAKER_02: They tell what is her name again in the care.
- 29:14SPEAKER_02: What is the character's name?
- 29:17SPEAKER_02: I don't remember.
- 29:18SPEAKER_02: A Jew's mom.
- 29:19SPEAKER_02: Um, I know the Lucy.
- 29:21SPEAKER_02: Lucy.
- 29:22SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 29:24SPEAKER_02: So they have a a proposition.
- 29:26SPEAKER_02: They're like, hey, we are having a charity event and we want to make uh casino night and we need some money made.
- 29:34SPEAKER_02: And she goes, so what's the charity?
- 29:36SPEAKER_02: They're like, Annie goes, and gamblers, yeah, and gamblers anonymous or whatever.
- 29:41SPEAKER_02: She's like, You want to have a charity for gamblers with a casino night?
- 29:45SPEAKER_02: She goes, Hair of the dog.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: Beth is like, they just want to be treated like people.
- 29:54SPEAKER_02: Well, she says that when she goes, Well, her suggestion, well, well, her concern was she does really good work, and I'm afraid that it could be used for counterfeit.
- 30:05SPEAKER_02: And the girls go, Oh my god, I've never thought of that.
- 30:10SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, what are we gonna do?
- 30:12SPEAKER_02: She goes, Well, we can put, you know, there's more to life than just gambling on the money.
- 30:17SPEAKER_02: And Beth then says, Well, they just want to be treated like regular people.
- 30:21SPEAKER_02: She goes, Well, we could put like a monocle on him with a little handle, like a handlebar mass mustache or whatever.
- 30:30SPEAKER_02: And they're all looking like, what the fuck?
- 30:33unknown: Right.
- 30:34SPEAKER_02: Beth, in a very genius way, was like, Oh, well, we'll just put on different color paper.
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: She's like, Okay, I'm in.
- 30:41SPEAKER_02: There, I'm just thinking the whole gambler's anonymous and gamble's addiction with this casino night.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: I'm actually done with that.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: Is it the worst idea?
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: Like, it gets the fix out, like, right?
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: It get it gets your your fix, but without actually losing the house.
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: That's maybe that could you could be onto something.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: I I mean, I'm not like I'm I'm so not trying to be funny.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: I'm just wondering out loud, like it's like when when you know, like you're trying to quit smoking, and so like you do uh like you you you put something else in your mouth, like licorice or whatever, because it's like you know what I mean, like the oral fixation, you know?
- 31:23SPEAKER_02: Yes, I know.
- 31:24SPEAKER_02: I do sorry.
- 31:26SPEAKER_02: I'm a little hard up lately, so everything is sex to me.
- 31:29SPEAKER_02: Okay, so forgive me.
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: I could take it, I can make anything sexual right now.
- 31:34SPEAKER_02: All right, Joey.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: Whoa, okay, grandma's potato salad.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: I forgot what it was, but yeah.
- 31:47SPEAKER_02: So because she's in, you start seeing her at work, and she's being it's very exacting when she's doing the art for their funny money, and it's a whole big process.
- 32:00SPEAKER_02: You see the girls in the basement or the back room of the stationery store, and it's a whole big process.
- 32:08SPEAKER_02: And I'm kind of proud of them with like the shredding the money, making the mulch, making into paper, printing, cutting, drying, shimmering, it's washing and drying.
- 32:21SPEAKER_02: It's a process.
- 32:21SPEAKER_02: And I'm really you have to be proud of their pulling themselves up with the bootstraps and making their own money literally and figuratively, yes, and I am proud of them.
- 32:36SPEAKER_02: And that funny money is probably has probably worth more than our actual money today in real life, right now.
- 32:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and they go see our buddy again, and wouldn't you know it?
- 32:47SPEAKER_02: Ding ding ding ding, it passes the test.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: I'm so proud of it.
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because he's studying it, and they're like, Oh, what's wrong with it now?
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: And he's like, not a damn thing.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: Damn thing.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: And he goes, ding.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: He's like, you ladies just elevated.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Leveled up, right?
- 33:04SPEAKER_02: Leveled up.
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: So Beth is now um at home.
- 33:09SPEAKER_02: She's feeling really good about herself-ish, you know, because they they have the money, but you know, let's nothing's put into process yet.
- 33:16SPEAKER_02: And she's with her new bestie.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: And what's her bestie's name now?
- 33:20SPEAKER_02: Ray.
- 33:21SPEAKER_02: But it's spelled like Rhea, but it but she pronounced it Ray.
- 33:24SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 33:25SPEAKER_02: And she's bringing all her, she's giving her her son's soccer stuff.
- 33:33SPEAKER_02: Um, the that was in the back of the closet.
- 33:35SPEAKER_02: And Ray's was like, you don't have to do all of this.
- 33:37SPEAKER_02: She was like, Oh, I think I have cleats.
- 33:39SPEAKER_02: She's like, I'm she's like, what size is he wear?
- 33:40SPEAKER_02: She's like, I'm not telling you.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: And she was like, Oh my god, I'm gonna have to dedicate a wing of my house.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: And she was like, You don't have a wing.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: And I I thought that that comment was gonna be a tip-off.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: And I know, like, I know on face value, that's something like even if you've never been to somebody's house, like for the most part, you know, but I feel like in TV land, saying something like that is usually how you get caught.
- 34:11SPEAKER_02: Just a little bit, right?
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: Like, I I expected her to say, How would you know what my house looks like?
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: or or uh you know, and then it just passed, and I was like, Oh, okay, we're not doing that yet.
- 34:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we're not there yet.
- 34:26SPEAKER_02: Or the really smart way would be just not to acknowledge it.
- 34:30SPEAKER_02: Like, I wouldn't, like you, if I said it to you, you're like, Yeah, I don't have a like, you just don't acknowledge it because it's just maybe flippant.
- 34:36SPEAKER_02: You're just like, Oh, you don't have a wing, because whatever, right?
- 34:39SPEAKER_02: It's not meant to be anything.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: You're like right, like when I joke, and then people are like, Oh, where are you where where what are you doing this summer?
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: Are you going anywhere special?
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Yeah, I think I'm gonna spend time on the west side of my house, you know.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: I think I'm gonna go to the backyard, you know, maybe spend some time on the pool deck, you know?
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: Like Lisa, I'm gonna go to the east lawn of my house instead of the driveway.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: But I say stupid shit like that all the time.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: So because it's obvious, like I don't have a wing, I don't have a my house is not big enough for east-west.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: Like, I you know, I can't get lost in here if I tried.
- 35:22SPEAKER_02: Well, you know, depending with all the the stuff that you know that's being hoarded in the house.
- 35:27SPEAKER_02: I'm sure she can get your little maze.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: Um, so as she's trying to get her to take um her son's cleats, you know, the knock on the door, and it's Ruby and Annie, and they walk in, and because they have a totes of I'm assuming funny money, and they're like, Oh, you know, a friend, you know, a new person.
- 35:48SPEAKER_02: But the I think part of it was like, since when do you have friends offside of us?
- 35:52SPEAKER_02: Like that actually comes to the house.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they they seem the little like awesome just by somebody else being there, a little weird, like wait, right, and and then here comes the kid with a gift for Mrs.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: Boland.
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: And then they're like, This bitch here.
- 36:10SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 36:11SPEAKER_02: Because they know who he is, and they're like, You dumb bitch.
- 36:15SPEAKER_02: And at the end, of course, and of course, the next scene is them yelling at her.
- 36:18SPEAKER_02: She goes, I'm just helping him get into intramural sports.
- 36:22SPEAKER_02: She's like, No, no, and Ruby goes, the best way to do that is to do nothing.
- 36:26SPEAKER_02: The best way to help her is to do nothing.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: And he's like, get a teardrop tattoo and keep it moving.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: That's what you do.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: That's what you do when you kill someone.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 36:41SPEAKER_02: Um, but this I'm assuming this is the whole shoveling thing you were talking about, where the Beth needs to needs to um well, just the whole situation of her yeah, with the with the friends.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: And it's not like a casual thing.
- 36:59SPEAKER_00: And it and and then even at this point, you're first of all, the first time you see her, and she's like, Oh yeah, no, and the coach is hot, and the stalker, and the this, and the yeah, whatever, right?
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: And you see her giving her stuff, and you're like, okay, whatever.
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: And then the lady's in her house and they're drinking, and then it just gets worse because then there's another scene afterwards where it's even worse, right?
- 37:25SPEAKER_02: And I think if Beth was paying attention, something long bells would have gone off, honestly.
- 37:30SPEAKER_02: So after she gets yelled at by her friends and ignores it, she's at work the next day doing her thing, and in comes Agent Turner doing his pop-up visits, and he's checking in, making sure she's still being a mom, being a little subliminal with the messaging and you know he came in for a thinking of you card.
- 37:57SPEAKER_02: Thinking of you card.
- 37:58SPEAKER_02: He goes, Maybe I just just maybe I should just spend more time with them.
- 38:04SPEAKER_02: So as a result, the girls are at Beth's house in front of the fire, and they're burning the money because they're like, This is over.
- 38:14SPEAKER_02: He's checking in.
- 38:15SPEAKER_02: I personally think no, wait, they start off with like I hate pop-up visits.
- 38:20SPEAKER_02: She's like, I hate pop-up visits.
- 38:22SPEAKER_02: And Ruby goes, especially once I take my face off.
- 38:24SPEAKER_02: Like, and I'm like, girl, I feel that.
- 38:26SPEAKER_02: Like I hate those too.
- 38:31SPEAKER_02: Because Agnes at work and Agnes out running errands, and then Agnes just at home, or three totally different Agneses, and they don't look nothing alike.
- 38:45SPEAKER_02: It's like Agnes, there's like three of us.
- 38:47SPEAKER_02: There's three sisters, we're not triplets, and we all look different.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: So I feel that.
- 38:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think since he just popped up, I think you're safe for a little while enough to spend your money, pay your bills, and then take a breather.
- 39:02SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: Personally, right?
- 39:04SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's just me.
- 39:05SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 39:05SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 39:06SPEAKER_02: You have a minute to okay.
- 39:07SPEAKER_02: I got he's not gonna come back, let's say, for a week.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: I'm just making up shit.
- 39:11SPEAKER_02: But you know he just likes he's not gonna come back tomorrow.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: And I'm sure that you can find some place to hide that fucking money.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: Like, you he just paid you a visit instead of sitting on the couch in front of the fireplace.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: Why don't you get off your ass right now, go to the fine and frugal and go to compra?
- 39:34SPEAKER_00: Like, go spend that money on groceries, frozen shit, shit that is gonna.
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: I I mean, maybe you're afraid to pay your mortgage because of the bank or the or any big bills in cash, but you could go to the supermarket, you go buy like, you know, any little thing that the kids need, but no, let's just let's just heat the house with it.
- 39:57SPEAKER_02: I thought that was really stupid, but that's just my opinion.
- 40:00SPEAKER_02: Because you know you have time.
- 40:01SPEAKER_02: This is like it's just like when people get their random drug tests.
- 40:04SPEAKER_02: You're like, oh, got my drug test.
- 40:06SPEAKER_02: I know I'm good for six months.
- 40:07SPEAKER_02: I can smoke all I want, whatever the case may be.
- 40:10SPEAKER_02: But yeah, no about those things.
- 40:12SPEAKER_02: So after the very depressing moment of burning the cash, even if it's not real cash, it's still depressing for me.
- 40:18SPEAKER_02: Um, because I I would have paid my card note.
- 40:21SPEAKER_02: I would listen.
- 40:22SPEAKER_02: Uh or you know what you do, you get a payday loan.
- 40:28SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's even better.
- 40:29SPEAKER_02: $10,000, and then you pay off your fucking loan.
- 40:32SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, I didn't even think about that.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: But like you got this guy who's like helping you, and just be like, listen, just stash the shit here or whatever, like swap, swap it out, or whatever.
- 40:46SPEAKER_02: And then with the payday loan, if you're paying your money with this money, there's no way to find out like you're getting random bills, like it's and it's going through the counter.
- 40:55SPEAKER_02: So, you know.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: What's going on?
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: So give him a big cut because if you're willing to lose it, you're right, you're already losing it, but at least you can keep some.
- 41:10SPEAKER_02: I would be such a good criminal, but anyway.
- 41:13SPEAKER_02: I mean, you have this option, like you, this is like this is what you want to clean your money with.
- 41:19SPEAKER_02: Like the whole money laundry thing is right here in front of your face.
- 41:23SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 41:24SPEAKER_02: Anyhow, any so Annie's home.
- 41:27SPEAKER_02: She comes home with groceries, and her son is sitting at the table, I think eating chips.
- 41:34SPEAKER_02: She goes for breakfast, uh, lunch, dinner, whatever.
- 41:39SPEAKER_02: And she goes, just wash it down with some juice at least.
- 41:43SPEAKER_02: So her son goes, Who's that guy?
- 41:46SPEAKER_02: She goes, Oh, it's nobody.
- 41:49SPEAKER_02: She goes, I don't, you won't be seeing Chris.
- 41:52SPEAKER_02: She goes, Kevin.
- 41:53SPEAKER_02: Kevin, you go, he's like, Well, whatever.
- 41:56SPEAKER_02: And she goes, Well, you know, this will be no more Chris's, no more Kevin's, no more, not like Bob's, whatever.
- 42:05SPEAKER_02: And she goes, her son goes, No more Greg's.
- 42:07SPEAKER_02: She was like, definitely no more Greg's at all.
- 42:10SPEAKER_02: She goes, because I'm a strong, independent, badass.
- 42:15SPEAKER_02: And her son goes, Llama.
- 42:17SPEAKER_02: She goes, Llama.
- 42:19SPEAKER_02: That was the best.
- 42:20SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 42:21SPEAKER_02: It was the the ultimate burn.
- 42:23SPEAKER_02: And did he mean to give her a it's kind of like he said so man of fact, like, was it meant to be a burn?
- 42:28SPEAKER_02: I think it was meant to be a burn, but a nice, it was anyway.
- 42:31SPEAKER_00: But that's the whole thing about your kids is that leave it to your kids to keep you fucking humble.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: And when Annie looks so puzzled, and the kid is like, well, because like a llama will just eat out of the hand of anyone who feeds.
- 42:45SPEAKER_02: And the next thing you know, she he goes, That's you, that's you.
- 42:48SPEAKER_02: Anyone showed you can't any kind of affection.
- 42:50SPEAKER_02: Next thing you know, you're being you're being sheared for a sweater.
- 42:53SPEAKER_02: And she's just like, uh.
- 42:58SPEAKER_02: And he's just going, and he didn't, he's just like, okay, I think I'm gonna have something with this bread.
- 43:03SPEAKER_02: Like he's going out with the rest of his day, like he didn't just completely burn her.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
- 43:07SPEAKER_00: Because then he's like, here, have some bread, which honestly is probably not even that much better than the chips.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: At least the chips might have a small portion of vegetable in it.
- 43:19SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 43:20SPEAKER_02: Get some corn in there.
- 43:21SPEAKER_02: You have corn, you know, get something, you know.
- 43:24SPEAKER_02: We're back at Ruby's house, and her daughter's doing the whole gagging up her pill, which annoyed the fuck out of me.
- 43:30SPEAKER_02: When, oh, I forgot to mention this.
- 43:32SPEAKER_02: I forgot.
- 43:32SPEAKER_02: When Stan came home the last scene, there was a little bruise on his face, and she goes, What happened?
- 43:37SPEAKER_02: He goes, just you know, hazard the job because he was someone got broke with one of the dancers, obviously.
- 43:44SPEAKER_02: Um, so what was the stripper's name that called him Stan?
- 43:51SPEAKER_02: Uh I don't know, but her real name is Diane.
- 43:55SPEAKER_02: Diane.
- 43:56SPEAKER_02: So she comes to the house.
- 43:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't remember what her stage name was.
- 44:01SPEAKER_02: The kids answer, and she goes, Hi, what does she call her?
- 44:05SPEAKER_02: Ruthie or Ruth or whatever.
- 44:07SPEAKER_02: He goes, It's Ruby.
- 44:08SPEAKER_02: She goes, Oh, we'll just talk about since we're giving out names, I'm Diane.
- 44:12SPEAKER_02: And she brings a nice little basket to thank Stan.
- 44:16SPEAKER_02: And she goes, There's a lot of stuff in here, something for the kids, which is really a nice thing to do, honestly.
- 44:22SPEAKER_02: I know that was sweet.
- 44:24SPEAKER_02: And And Ruby is still kind of a little standoffish because she doesn't want a stripper in her house.
- 44:30SPEAKER_02: I rather have a stripper in my house than most of these so-called normal people.
- 44:34SPEAKER_02: And it's kind of weird because, girl, you robbed banks and shit, but okay, go off.
- 44:40SPEAKER_02: She goes, okay, you guys go to you know go to your room.
- 44:43SPEAKER_02: And she tells her daughter, take your pill.
- 44:45SPEAKER_02: She goes, it makes me gag.
- 44:47SPEAKER_02: And Diane was gives her instructions on how not to gag.
- 44:51SPEAKER_02: She goes, You gotta relax this muscle and then open your mouth really wide.
- 44:55SPEAKER_02: And then Ruby is having a fucking heart attack because you know how her mental picture is.
- 45:01SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 45:03SPEAKER_02: And of course, the next scene is her yelling at the insurance company because, of course, they denied coverage of her daughter's medicine.
- 45:10SPEAKER_02: They're like, Well, we're covering in emergency.
- 45:12SPEAKER_02: She goes, We're trying to keep her from having an emergency.
- 45:16SPEAKER_02: And I so feel her pain throughout this.
- 45:19SPEAKER_00: And as she's I'm sure every single citizen has felt that pain.
- 45:25SPEAKER_02: Well, except for that 1%, right?
- 45:29SPEAKER_02: And the people who run Congress.
- 45:31SPEAKER_02: Um, and as she goes, she's going on, she's like, I want you to appeal the appeal.
- 45:36SPEAKER_02: And if that doesn't go through, we're gonna appeal that appeal.
- 45:39SPEAKER_02: And then the rep starts crying because the rep lost her job, and Friday's her last day because they took her job, they sent her job to Sri Lanka.
- 45:49SPEAKER_02: And she goes, uh Ruby's like, it'll be fine.
- 45:52SPEAKER_02: She's like, I'm going to move in my mom.
- 45:54SPEAKER_02: She's like, Oh, okay, you know, and she's like, My grandmother has my room, so I'll sleep on the floor.
- 45:59SPEAKER_02: And Ruby's like, Well, that's good for your back.
- 46:02SPEAKER_00: Ruby's trying to cheer her up now.
- 46:05SPEAKER_02: Reluctantly trying to cheer her up.
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she's like, room for you, G.
- 46:11SPEAKER_02: And she goes, Me personally, if I knew Friday was my last day, I would have been like, Let me see what I can do with this.
- 46:20SPEAKER_02: Everything is fucking approved.
- 46:22unknown: Right.
- 46:23SPEAKER_00: You get approved, and you get approved, and you get approved, and oh wait, and you get approved.
- 46:28SPEAKER_02: You get approved.
- 46:29SPEAKER_02: I'm all about being petty and like, I'm fired.
- 46:33SPEAKER_02: Gwen should have been like, okay, approved.
- 46:35SPEAKER_02: Approved, approved.
- 46:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 46:38SPEAKER_02: Next scene is Beth having a glass of wine with her new bestie.
- 46:42SPEAKER_02: And I don't remember how it got to the topic, but Beth shares that she's four months behind on her mortgage.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: And well, she said she says something about like them being friends, and Beth was like, Well, it's either you or the county sheriff.
- 47:01SPEAKER_00: Right, thank you.
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: And she's like, What do you mean?
- 47:03SPEAKER_00: And she's like, Oh, nothing.
- 47:05SPEAKER_00: And then and then that's when she, yeah, she lets her in on it.
- 47:08SPEAKER_02: Raised is like, well, all this time I thought they were perfect with you.
- 47:12SPEAKER_02: And she goes, you know what?
- 47:13SPEAKER_02: Since you're my you've done so much for me, I can loan you the money.
- 47:15SPEAKER_02: He's like, No.
- 47:17SPEAKER_02: Because Beth is still like, you don't have any money coming.
- 47:20SPEAKER_02: She goes, No, my son's father takes care of us, it'll be fine.
- 47:24SPEAKER_02: She goes, I thought you said he was gone.
- 47:27SPEAKER_02: She's like, Oh, he always goes and comes, but he'll come back.
- 47:30SPEAKER_02: But he has he sets us, he sets us up really well.
- 47:33SPEAKER_02: She goes, but what if he doesn't come back?
- 47:35SPEAKER_02: He goes, Oh, he will.
- 47:36SPEAKER_02: And she's like, Yeah, and if he doesn't, he'll send money.
- 47:38SPEAKER_02: He'll send right.
- 47:40SPEAKER_02: But that takes the money.
- 47:42SPEAKER_02: Because, you know, she ends up painting her daughter's room and all that other fun stuff.
- 47:46SPEAKER_02: But before we get to the yeah.
- 47:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I and then see this is where it's also like two things with this.
- 47:54SPEAKER_00: You really fucking dug yourself deeper because now you took money from her.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: So when all this shit hits the fan, not only are you saddling up next to his ex and maybe not so ex, but yeah.
- 48:18SPEAKER_00: But I just feel like Beth you really, really playing with fire, also because what happens when the little kid is like, oh yeah, that's the lady that you know my dad used to talk to when we go to the park.
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: Kids are not stupid.
- 48:34SPEAKER_00: He's seen her at the par-I mean, it's not like they were hugging or kissing or or or even like that close together, but they would talk to each other.
- 48:45SPEAKER_02: So and then to play like you've never seen her son until you saw her, it just makes it right.
- 48:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:55SPEAKER_02: Well, I'm assuming that's what you did.
- 48:57SPEAKER_02: I'm assuming, because she could have been like, oh, I know him from the park.
- 49:00SPEAKER_02: Like she might have done that.
- 49:02SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 49:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, I would I would hope that that would be right, like oh hi, I've seen I've seen your son before.
- 49:11SPEAKER_00: Um like our our kids play together, right?
- 49:17SPEAKER_00: That would be okay.
- 49:19SPEAKER_00: That would be the smart way.
- 49:21SPEAKER_00: If if you're gonna do it, that would be the smart way.
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: And I I don't know if that's what she said because his son doesn't seem like a stupid child.
- 49:30SPEAKER_02: So I'm pretty sure.
- 49:32SPEAKER_02: And but but I'm assuming this would be going on for months because the way they first like the first scene together is obviously there wasn't that first time at the park together.
- 49:40SPEAKER_02: So I'm pretty sure I'm hope in my head, the fact that her son has seen her before must have come up, or he's played with her daughter, must have come up before now.
- 49:51SPEAKER_02: So I'm hoping for her life and she doesn't get killed, but that's how she played it.
- 49:56SPEAKER_02: But to your point, yeah, but she's also took money from a woman whose husband that she killed, or baby daddy that she killed, or at least in her head that she thinks she's killed him.
- 50:05SPEAKER_02: That's kind of fucked up.
- 50:14SPEAKER_00: But then you still took money from her, right?
- 50:18SPEAKER_02: Even if he is, even if she is set up really well for now, as far as you know, the money's dry.
- 50:24SPEAKER_00: If she's set up so well, yeah, but if she's set up so well, then why does she need your fucking old?
- 50:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm just saying, right?
- 50:30SPEAKER_00: I feel like it just got extra messy in that one scene.
- 50:35SPEAKER_00: She just made it another level of messy.
- 50:38SPEAKER_02: Of messy.
- 50:39SPEAKER_02: I concur.
- 50:41SPEAKER_02: Speaking of uh, Annie is having a hard time.
- 50:44SPEAKER_02: She's at home alone, not doing anything, and she's sworn off men, because men suck.
- 50:51SPEAKER_02: And we've all been in this position where she's like, Oh, let me have some one-on-one time, let me have some happy time.
- 50:57SPEAKER_02: She pulls out her little trusty, her trusty vibrator and goes and dies and dies.
- 51:06SPEAKER_02: So these batteries, she's go.
- 51:07SPEAKER_02: You ever notice you never have batteries when you need them?
- 51:11SPEAKER_02: So batteries die.
- 51:14SPEAKER_02: She's she where was it?
- 51:17SPEAKER_02: First is the smoke detectors.
- 51:19SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 51:19SPEAKER_00: She's like the smoke detectors, the remotes, like everything.
- 51:22SPEAKER_02: The remotes, everything.
- 51:22SPEAKER_02: And then she's like, fine, fuck, I give up.
- 51:24SPEAKER_02: And then she's walking back past the bathroom.
- 51:27SPEAKER_02: She sees the electric tube brush, and she looks back.
- 51:30SPEAKER_02: She's like, All right.
- 51:31SPEAKER_02: Um, so she tries and is playing this really stupid song.
- 51:38SPEAKER_02: And of course, it's not much of a turn on.
- 51:40SPEAKER_02: And she just throw so Annie can't get off.
- 51:44SPEAKER_02: Even without the vibrator, you know, you have your you can still do it manually, it's fine.
- 51:50SPEAKER_02: Sometimes I think it's just as good because you hit the spot, boom, and because you know which spot it is, and you can hit it, take care of business, and like 2.3 minutes flat.
- 52:01SPEAKER_02: But anyway, back to um Beth having painting the girls' room, and Dean is like, What's going on?
- 52:08SPEAKER_02: And he paid to the she's like, I'm painted the room.
- 52:11SPEAKER_02: And he goes, What about the the mortgage?
- 52:13SPEAKER_02: She goes, I paid for it.
- 52:14SPEAKER_02: She goes, I got money from a friend.
- 52:16SPEAKER_02: He was like, Not again.
- 52:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I kind of dean was just like, oh no, not again.
- 52:24SPEAKER_02: She's like, No, not thy friend.
- 52:26SPEAKER_02: It was some one of the mom friends.
- 52:28SPEAKER_02: He's like, Oh, okay.
- 52:30SPEAKER_02: And it's kind of cute.
- 52:31SPEAKER_02: You see them like show the kids the rooms, everyone's happy.
- 52:36SPEAKER_02: You see, Rio just, it's kind of weird.
- 52:38SPEAKER_02: He's just looking out the window again, longingly, and then switches over to the FBI about to raid this place.
- 52:48SPEAKER_02: And then you go to back to Rio, and he's at the front desk, and he's talking to the the representative, that was the customer service lady.
- 52:57SPEAKER_02: I can't, my brain shut down.
- 52:58SPEAKER_02: Like the concierge or whatever.
- 53:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 53:00SPEAKER_02: And he's checking, he was like, So how many points do I have?
- 53:02SPEAKER_02: What's my level now?
- 53:04SPEAKER_02: She goes, with your stay, you had a GOAT level.
- 53:06SPEAKER_02: And he's like, Oh, that's great.
- 53:08SPEAKER_02: And then you go back to the FBI agent, and it's nothing there.
- 53:13SPEAKER_00: And then you see Wield leaving, and then you see the she's like, Oh, you have any plans today?
- 53:19SPEAKER_00: He's like, just some business.
- 53:21SPEAKER_02: Just nothing major.
- 53:24SPEAKER_02: And then you see the billboard.
- 53:27SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 53:27SPEAKER_02: The corona advertisement.
- 53:29SPEAKER_02: It's not really corona.
- 53:30SPEAKER_00: But it's not corona, but it's corona.
- 53:31SPEAKER_02: It's yeah, it's not corona, but it's corona, it's TV Corona.
- 53:35SPEAKER_02: The FBI agent.
- 53:36SPEAKER_02: So Jimmy is taking off his vest and throwing the back of his car, and the FBI is leaving because there's nothing there.
- 53:44SPEAKER_02: And you see a black panel door van pull up, the doors are opening.
- 53:50SPEAKER_02: And the next scene is all the FBI agents.
- 53:54SPEAKER_02: Obviously, they've been shot.
- 53:55SPEAKER_02: You can tell because it's this.
- 53:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're all on the ground.
- 53:58SPEAKER_00: One one guy is trying to get, like, I guess, his radio or his own.
- 54:02SPEAKER_00: Yo, something.
- 54:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 54:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 54:05SPEAKER_02: So, yeah.
- 54:06SPEAKER_02: So, Rio um obviously took the opportunity to get rid of his competition.
- 54:11SPEAKER_02: And that's the end of the episode.
- 54:14SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 54:15SPEAKER_02: And Lisa.
- 54:18SPEAKER_02: Thoughts, questions, comments, concerns?
- 54:20SPEAKER_02: How do you feel about the first episode of season three?
- 54:24SPEAKER_00: It was fine.
- 54:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, I I I just think it was fine.
- 54:28SPEAKER_00: I I mean, obviously, we knew Rio wasn't gonna be dead.
- 54:33SPEAKER_00: Thank God.
- 54:34SPEAKER_00: And I'm not surprised that he orchestrated this whole thing.
- 54:39SPEAKER_02: No, because he's a smart cookie crumb.
- 54:41SPEAKER_02: And that's what also makes him sexy because he's just not a criminal.
- 54:44SPEAKER_02: He's intelligent, he's highly intelligent.
- 54:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 54:47SPEAKER_00: No, but he's he makes quiet moves.
- 54:50SPEAKER_00: And quiet moves are the sexy moves because those are the smart ones.
- 54:54SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 54:56SPEAKER_00: You know, uh it's like when people are just loud and it and it's like, oh, and I'm this, and I shut the fuck up.
- 55:04SPEAKER_00: Like you're obviously not, because if you were, you wouldn't have to tell me you were.
- 55:08SPEAKER_00: A tree doesn't have to tell you it's a tree.
- 55:11SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 55:11SPEAKER_02: But of course, trees don't talk.
- 55:13SPEAKER_00: But anyway, but they don't have to talk.
- 55:15SPEAKER_00: You know that they're a tree.
- 55:16SPEAKER_00: You look at them be like, oh, that's a tree.
- 55:18SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 55:20SPEAKER_00: Trees are quietly superior beings, right?
- 55:25SPEAKER_00: Like they just stand there, they hold up their leaves, they give you shade, they give off oxygen, like, you know, then sometimes they fall and kill you, but hey, they're trees.
- 55:36SPEAKER_00: That's what they do.
- 55:37SPEAKER_02: That's what they do.
- 55:38SPEAKER_02: It'd be nice if they fell on a particular car, but you know.
- 55:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well.
- 55:43SPEAKER_00: Who knows if Agent Turner is dead?
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: We don't know.
