- 6:09Speaker 3: Look at the LA.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Good evening to you, sir, And yeah, I think that
- 6:15Speaker 2: is it as of now. And uh yeah, why don't
- 6:19Speaker 2: you set the tables?
- 6:23Speaker 3: Wait a minute, hold on, Mike, says Rob. Why are
- 6:28Speaker 3: you always reading the classified ads on the cover art?
- 6:33Speaker 3: Hold on, let me look again. Oh those are classified files.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Oh okay, not classified ads. Classified ads. It's crazy. Oh
- 6:53Speaker 3: for all your needs, But no on a more serious
- 6:57Speaker 3: tip here, Yes, it is the fatigue eighth anniversary of
- 7:02Speaker 3: the Bobby kim As Fascination this weekend tomorrow, in fact,
- 7:08Speaker 3: and I gave Joe an assignment. Recently, I watched a
- 7:13Speaker 3: television program on the television on I think it's on
- 7:20Speaker 3: Discovery Channel, but I watched it on HBO Max. And
- 7:25Speaker 3: of course it's a show done by very suspect CI,
- 7:31Speaker 3: a former CIA operator. Yes not Kuriaku, but Andrew Bustamante,
- 7:41Speaker 3: who I'm coming around on. But I do realize there's
- 7:43Speaker 3: still problems with him. But the first episode of his show,
- 7:49Speaker 3: his new show, it's called Conspiracies and cover Ups, and
- 7:54Speaker 3: the first episode examines whether or not that you can
- 7:59Speaker 3: that won somebody, in this case, a very world renowned
- 8:04Speaker 3: hypnotist could create a mind control assassin. So they go
- 8:14Speaker 3: through the various steps of setting this up, and the
- 8:19Speaker 3: first one is they put on a free show and
- 8:24Speaker 3: invite you know, like fifty people from the public come
- 8:27Speaker 3: and they sit in the show, and he goes through
- 8:29Speaker 3: it basically like you know, one of those hypnosis shows
- 8:31Speaker 3: where you know, people come up on stage and they
- 8:33Speaker 3: act like a chicken or whatever, you know, whatever dumb
- 8:35Speaker 3: shit they got going on there. But the whole point
- 8:38Speaker 3: of this is to find someone who is highly suggestible, right, yeah,
- 8:45Speaker 3: because hypnosis doesn't work on everybody for whatever reason, and
- 8:49Speaker 3: some people are more susceptible to hypnosis than others. So
- 8:54Speaker 3: through this series of these of these shows, they whittle
- 8:57Speaker 3: it down to this one guy, and he's a young
- 9:01Speaker 3: black dude with dreads, very intelligent, very nice, very soft
- 9:06Speaker 3: spoken dude. And once they find that he's the guy,
- 9:14Speaker 3: they then go ahead and set up the experiment and
- 9:20Speaker 3: they basically rent out this coffee shop for the evening
- 9:24Speaker 3: and they invite back some of the other people who
- 9:29Speaker 3: had been at the previous show and him in particular,
- 9:33Speaker 3: and everybody in the coffee shop is in on the trick,
- 9:39Speaker 3: if you will, except for this guy. And he basically
- 9:45Speaker 3: has what twenty or thirty minutes to work with this
- 9:47Speaker 3: guy Joe before, Yeah, before they go in to do it,
- 9:54Speaker 3: you know, trying to pull this thing off. And the
- 9:57Speaker 3: thing that they're trying to convince this guy to do
- 10:01Speaker 3: is to poison Andrew Boustamante's water. Okay, so while he's
- 10:08Speaker 3: under while he's suggestible, while he's under hypnosis. You know,
- 10:12Speaker 3: this guy's programming him for like twenty or thirty minutes,
- 10:15Speaker 3: you know, to tell him you're gonna do this, and
- 10:17Speaker 3: he gives him a vial of poison, if you will,
- 10:20Speaker 3: and he puts it in his pocket, and you know,
- 10:25Speaker 3: he tells him, you know, when you hear this sound
- 10:27Speaker 3: or whatever, you're gonna get up. You're gonna go. You're
- 10:29Speaker 3: gonna walk over there. You're gonna pour this in his coffee,
- 10:32Speaker 3: and then you're gonna come back to your table and you're
- 10:34Speaker 3: gonna sit here like like nothing happened. And you know,
- 10:39Speaker 3: you're not gonna remember doing it. You're not gonna remember
- 10:42Speaker 3: anything from this point to this point. Blah blah blah,
- 10:44Speaker 3: blah blah blah. So they go through all the steps
- 10:49Speaker 3: of setting this whole thing up, and then it's time
- 10:54Speaker 3: to do it right. So you see Andrew Boustamante, he
- 10:57Speaker 3: gets thee from his table and he walks over to
- 11:00Speaker 3: order a coffee, and he leaves the water glass on
- 11:03Speaker 3: the table that he got up from. And then there's
- 11:06Speaker 3: a noise, right, and that's his cue. So this guy
- 11:13Speaker 3: gets up, He walks over to the table, pulls out
- 11:17Speaker 3: this little vial of stuff and pours it in. Andrew
- 11:19Speaker 3: boosts him on his water, puts the cat back on,
- 11:21Speaker 3: puts it back in his pocket, goes back and sit
- 11:23Speaker 3: down at the desk. And then Andrew comes back with
- 11:27Speaker 3: his coffee and he sets it down and he takes
- 11:30Speaker 3: a sip of water, and then he goes through this
- 11:33Speaker 3: whole thing like he's like he's dying, right, and he
- 11:36Speaker 3: falls out on the floor and like everybody's there's panicking,
- 11:40Speaker 3: like call nine one one, you know, and he's like
- 11:43Speaker 3: fishing out on the floor and everything watching all this
- 11:46Speaker 3: like what the f is going on? Right?
- 11:49Speaker 2: I love that term fishing out?
- 11:52Speaker 3: Yeah, And uh so you know, all this craziness is
- 11:57Speaker 3: going on, and the hypnosis comes over and he like
- 12:01Speaker 3: puts him under again, and you know, they get Andrew up,
- 12:06Speaker 3: and they get everybody else out of there and they
- 12:09Speaker 3: bring him back to reality and then they start to
- 12:14Speaker 3: tell him, you know, they ask him, you know, do
- 12:16Speaker 3: you remember, you know, doing anything. He's like, no, I
- 12:19Speaker 3: just looked up and this guy's you know, dying or
- 12:23Speaker 3: or whatever, you know, And they're telling him, look, you know,
- 12:27Speaker 3: we hypnotized you. And they tell him what they did,
- 12:29Speaker 3: and he's like, I don't remember any of that. So
- 12:32Speaker 3: they bring him in the back and they showed him
- 12:34Speaker 3: the video footage of him doing it, and he's watching himself,
- 12:36Speaker 3: going like, you know, obviously I see that to me,
- 12:40Speaker 3: but I don't remember doing any of this. So imagine
- 12:46Speaker 3: if they can can if they can condition someone in
- 12:51Speaker 3: twenty or thirty minutes. Now I understand there's various steps
- 12:54Speaker 3: to find a susceptible person, but if that person could
- 12:57Speaker 3: be programmed in twenty or thirty minutes to murder somebody
- 13:01Speaker 3: and not remember anything about it, imagine what you could
- 13:06Speaker 3: do programming someone over the course of days and months
- 13:11Speaker 3: leading up to an event. Much like steer Hand. Seer
- 13:15Speaker 3: Hand I believe was hypnotized to do what he did.
- 13:21Speaker 3: There basically create, you know, be there, be at this
- 13:25Speaker 3: placed at a certain time, you know, and on these
- 13:28Speaker 3: various cues, do certain things, you know, pull this gun out,
- 13:31Speaker 3: start firing, blah blah blah blah blah, basically creating a
- 13:35Speaker 3: diversion for the real murderer to be behind and to
- 13:39Speaker 3: the right of Bobby Kennedy. Hello, Dane, Eugene Caesar and
- 13:46Speaker 3: then you know, he's the one that arrested for the
- 13:48Speaker 3: crime and it doesn't remember a thing about it. And
- 13:51Speaker 3: he's still sitting in jail fifty eight years later.
- 13:55Speaker 2: And still says that he has no memory of that.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Yeah, So what do you think, Joe, after watching that show?
- 14:04Speaker 3: What are your thoughts about it? And what do you
- 14:07Speaker 3: think is possible now you know what I mean?
- 14:10Speaker 2: Like, yeah, I think the I thought it was very
- 14:14Speaker 2: interesting and fascinating. I think their methods are probably improved
- 14:22Speaker 2: multiple fold by then.
- 14:24Speaker 3: You know, like I said, the more time you have
- 14:27Speaker 3: with somebody, like if they're coming to see, like they're
- 14:29Speaker 3: psychiatrist or whatever, and you have them for an hour,
- 14:33Speaker 3: you know at a time, maybe once or twice a week,
- 14:36Speaker 3: you know, to plant those seeds and to sew, you know,
- 14:39Speaker 3: to sew there's you know, to work the methods, work
- 14:42Speaker 3: it through and really ingrain it in this person's head,
- 14:46Speaker 3: you know, and really be able to work with them,
- 14:48Speaker 3: Like it's crazy.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I think it's very possible. And then you look at
- 14:53Speaker 2: someone like sar Anne, who I believe suffered ahead or
- 14:58Speaker 2: brain injury while falling off a horse. Right, maybe he
- 15:04Speaker 2: was the perfect type of candidate for that. You know,
- 15:08Speaker 2: they probably didn't have to do a focus group like
- 15:11Speaker 2: as portrayed in the episode type of thing.
- 15:14Speaker 3: You talk to a psychiatrist and you kind of lay
- 15:16Speaker 3: it out an mk ultra psychiatrist and kind of lay
- 15:20Speaker 3: it out like, you know, we're looking for a really someone,
- 15:27Speaker 3: someone that's that's very susceptible, somebody that's very naive.
- 15:31Speaker 2: You know, certain certain attributes, right, right.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Maybe a foreigner maybe that was one of them too,
- 15:37Speaker 3: you know, somebody that's really maybe a little schizophrenic, you know,
- 15:43Speaker 3: who knows what the criteria would.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Be, but right, I think it would definitely be possible.
- 15:50Speaker 2: And then when you consider, you know, the advancement in
- 15:55Speaker 2: prescription drugs these days probably make even more possible.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Right, but again not needed really, right, but.
- 16:10Speaker 2: It could it could advance maybe the process or the
- 16:14Speaker 2: psychosis or whatever.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Right, it might make somebody more susceptible, right, if they're
- 16:19Speaker 3: already susceptible.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Correct, So you already have someone that's susceptible, and then
- 16:23Speaker 2: you kind of increase increase it a little bit, you know.
- 16:28Speaker 2: I think they opened up with Thomas Crooks.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, they were trying to think, you know, they
- 16:36Speaker 3: were contemplating that theory that Crooks had been programmed, you know,
- 16:41Speaker 3: to be there as a distraction, you know.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Yeah, and uh, you know, of course not much has
- 16:49Speaker 2: been released on him, and he was at the gun
- 16:52Speaker 2: range where a lot of federales were I'm just using
- 16:57Speaker 2: that term.
- 16:58Speaker 3: What you're saying, like a year before this all went
- 17:00Speaker 3: down with Trump and him, that he kind of mentally changed.
- 17:05Speaker 3: He kind of you know, withdrew from friends and family
- 17:08Speaker 3: and got weird on social media and did at one
- 17:12Speaker 3: eighty in his politics and things like that, and right,
- 17:17Speaker 3: theology changed and yeah, and I.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Mean, we don't know much about him, and we're not
- 17:21Speaker 2: going to go into a big kind of dietrate about him.
- 17:25Speaker 2: But you could see how certain loaners and certain people
- 17:30Speaker 2: could be susceptible to this. And I'm not sure exactly
- 17:35Speaker 2: who was. There are different differentiating accounts of his social
- 17:40Speaker 2: media presence. They said that he didn't have any than
- 17:43Speaker 2: edgedly he did and whatever, whatever, But I think it's
- 17:49Speaker 2: I think they've probably really perfected the method of doing
- 17:53Speaker 2: that at this point, like much more than sir him,
- 17:56Speaker 2: because you think, what sixty years ago fifty eight.
- 18:00Speaker 3: People hear that theory and it's like, yeah, okay, whatever,
- 18:03Speaker 3: he tied him to do all this, you know whatever.
- 18:06Speaker 3: But if you really look at it, man, it's possible.
- 18:09Speaker 3: It is certainly possible. And like, could you imagine if
- 18:13Speaker 3: something like that ever happened to you and you did
- 18:14Speaker 3: something and you legitimately don't remember doing it, it's you're
- 18:17Speaker 3: on video doing it, Like yes, rude, Yeah, I.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Think I'd be a good suspect, actually candidate for that
- 18:26Speaker 2: type of Yeah. Sure, but yeah, no, it's it's crazy
- 18:32Speaker 2: to consider. And how we're gonna weave back into all
- 18:36Speaker 2: this is a certain psychiatrist that was involved with Sylvia
- 18:42Speaker 2: Audio that might have been doing some of the same stuff.
- 18:47Speaker 2: And Sylvia Audio did have some psychological issues, you know,
- 18:52Speaker 2: let's face it, she allegedly blacked out on the twenty
- 18:56Speaker 2: second after seeing Oswalt on TV and blah blah blah.
- 19:01Speaker 3: So yeah, and how did we get here, Well, how
- 19:07Speaker 3: did we get here.
- 19:08Speaker 2: It's a good question.
- 19:10Speaker 3: You know, often things oftentimes when it comes to this case,
- 19:15Speaker 3: I always wanted myself with these things that are ingrained
- 19:19Speaker 3: so deeply into the mythology of the Kennedy assassination, such
- 19:23Speaker 3: as the Odio incident, a lot of people taking a
- 19:27Speaker 3: face value that this is something that really happened. But
- 19:32Speaker 3: what if it wasn't. What if this was some twisted
- 19:36Speaker 3: fragment of Sylvia's imagination. And that's not too far off
- 19:42Speaker 3: the beaten path once you see what we have found
- 19:47Speaker 3: out about Sylvia Odio, and everything's just not cut and
- 19:54Speaker 3: dry with this whole thing in her. And there's a
- 19:57Speaker 3: lot of scfusory going on here. People around Silviodio a
- 20:03Speaker 3: lot a lot.
- 20:05Speaker 2: She's a rich girl. She has contacts and a lot
- 20:11Speaker 2: of people including you know, Johnny Martin and you know,
- 20:18Speaker 2: you know, even people like Augustine Guitar. Like, there's a
- 20:21Speaker 2: lot of for some reason, and I'm not exactly sure,
- 20:25Speaker 2: there's a lot of focus on her and a little
- 20:29Speaker 2: bit of her sister as well, Sorita.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Yeah. Now, this this is the book that I did
- 20:35Speaker 3: the book review on this week, Kennedy Nipples. Nipples a
- 20:41Speaker 3: true love story right by Marianne Sullivan. And you know,
- 20:49Speaker 3: you read a book like this and it's like, I mean,
- 20:52Speaker 3: it's spicy, bro It's spicy. And Father mccainn was a
- 21:00Speaker 3: poonhound for whatever reason. And in nineteen sixty two, Father
- 21:09Speaker 3: McCann was working with the Cuban Catholic Committees. Yeah, another
- 21:18Speaker 3: one of those part of the Catholic Relief services that
- 21:23Speaker 3: had a fund for Cubans in Dallas to furnish him
- 21:26Speaker 3: within relief, help with money, job finding jobs, and basically
- 21:32Speaker 3: helping them resettle into Dallas Cuban exiles. But it was
- 21:37Speaker 3: a Cuban Catholic charity committee that I think at some
- 21:42Speaker 3: point Kennedy had even set this thing up to help.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Of course Kennedy the first Catholic person.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Yeah. So Father McCann was a very handsome man. Apparently,
- 22:02Speaker 3: I've seen a couple photos of him here and there.
- 22:06Speaker 3: I'm trying to remember if there's one in this book,
- 22:09Speaker 3: because I mean, this this dude did it for mary Anne.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I mean she took one look at this guy and yeah,
- 22:18Speaker 3: you got really moist.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Yeah, And apparently there was some kind of rivalry between
- 22:27Speaker 2: Mary Anne and Sylvia Odio and.
- 22:30Speaker 3: This is father McCann.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Good, thank you for finding that. And you know what, Rob.
- 22:37Speaker 2: One thing that Mary Anne, okay, she definitely has that
- 22:44Speaker 2: sixty hair du And one thing Rob that I always
- 22:48Speaker 2: assumed that is obviously wrong that I learned about for
- 22:54Speaker 2: prepping for this week is I always thought father McCann
- 23:00Speaker 2: was old, because how do you get that name with
- 23:05Speaker 2: the I mean, I get it, you're a priest.
- 23:07Speaker 3: But he was twenty six, twenty six exactly. He had urges.
- 23:12Speaker 2: I did not realize that. And that makes him being
- 23:16Speaker 2: kind of a coon hound or whatever.
- 23:18Speaker 3: You want to call it, a poon hound not a
- 23:20Speaker 3: coon hound, poon downd poon hound.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Uh makes it a little more understandable to me. But
- 23:31Speaker 2: I did not realize that. I thought he was always
- 23:33Speaker 2: like a forty fifty year old type of guy. No,
- 23:37Speaker 2: not at all.
- 23:38Speaker 3: No young buck. And so you have Silviodio coming to Dallas,
- 23:45Speaker 3: I believe somewhere in the spring of sixty three, and
- 23:51Speaker 3: this is approximately it's about the same time that he
- 23:53Speaker 3: met this Marianne Sullivan chick, that he met Silvia and
- 24:01Speaker 3: they both took a liking to mister McCann. Father McCann
- 24:05Speaker 3: there right, and as you mentioned, Joe Marianne was very
- 24:12Speaker 3: jealous of father McCann paying any attention to Silviodio. M hm.
- 24:20Speaker 3: But we'll get there, I promise. So let's let's uh
- 24:25Speaker 3: set the table here, Joe with with some of the
- 24:29Speaker 3: I mean, we all know the whole backstory with the
- 24:32Speaker 3: audio incident where she claimed after the assassination, the three
- 24:38Speaker 3: men came to visit her apartment in Dallas and one
- 24:44Speaker 3: of them claimed to be Leon Or She was told
- 24:47Speaker 3: that his name was Leon Oswald and then he was
- 24:50Speaker 3: crazy enough to kill Kennedy. And these two Mexicans or
- 24:55Speaker 3: greasy looking Latinos were named Angelo and Lee Poldo. And
- 25:04Speaker 3: again it was assumed or suspected by these three people
- 25:10Speaker 3: could have been Lauren Hall, Laurence Toward, and William Seymour.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Lauren Hall admitted to it at first and realized he
- 25:19Speaker 3: was mistaken that he had they hadn't actually went there
- 25:22Speaker 3: and backtracked, and we'll tell you where he did go
- 25:27Speaker 3: as the show goes on. And you know Howard never
- 25:31Speaker 3: admitted to a meeting odeo, and neither did neither did Seymour.
- 25:35Speaker 3: So despite what Corey Hughes has to say, that this
- 25:39Speaker 3: case was sald fifty years ago. And uh you know, uh,
- 25:45Speaker 3: if you take the time to actually look at documents
- 25:47Speaker 3: and do a little research, Corey, you'll see that not
- 25:52Speaker 3: necessarily the case, bro, it was all fifty years ago.
- 25:56Speaker 3: But you can still believe in your fairy tales. And
- 26:00Speaker 3: you know sixty year old evidence has been debunked over time.
- 26:02Speaker 3: But that is why this show is not called bloody history.
- 26:09Speaker 3: So Joe, get it started here, buddy.
- 26:11Speaker 2: All right, put it up, sir, put it up, Get
- 26:14Speaker 2: it up. Mike mccannon did.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Oh you mean the screen? Correct? Okay, all right, sorry,
- 26:23Speaker 3: it's getting ready to scare women. Really gonna get ben
- 26:30Speaker 3: No for me too, Okay, you're up.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Yeah. And this is a secret service document to mister
- 26:41Speaker 2: Lee Rankin in May I'm sorry, of nineteen sixty four
- 26:47Speaker 2: Commission Exhibit number two nine four three and it is
- 26:53Speaker 2: small here. I'm going to read it on my other
- 26:57Speaker 2: laptop just to make it easier for me, dear mister Rankin.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Reference is made to your letter of April twenty second,
- 27:06Speaker 2: sixty four. Reverend Walter J. McCann was interviewed April thirtieth,
- 27:11Speaker 2: nineteen sixty four by Inspector Kelly of the Secret Service.
- 27:16Speaker 2: He is a twenty six year old priest present presently
- 27:19Speaker 2: attending Loyola University in New Orleans and is a lifelong
- 27:24Speaker 2: resident of Dallas, Texas.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Let me stop you right there real quick. So immediately
- 27:30Speaker 3: after the assassination, within a week, father McCann moved to
- 27:37Speaker 3: New Orleans, of all places, who attend Loyola University, well,
- 27:43Speaker 3: where he will befriend Sylvia Odio's uncle, a guy by
- 27:49Speaker 3: the name of Augustin Guittart who attended the court date
- 27:53Speaker 3: when Oswald was there for the fracas.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Yes, right, yes, yes, which is very sus We've heard
- 28:02Speaker 2: David Boylan talk about Augustine Greetart. He's definitely someone that
- 28:07Speaker 2: is in his interest and definitely someone who's sus for sure,
- 28:13Speaker 2: Sylvia Audio's uncle.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Correct, he's portrayed as as an older gentleman who is
- 28:18Speaker 3: a college professor, well educated. But again, we know that
- 28:23Speaker 3: whole bunch of dudes that were attending that court date
- 28:29Speaker 3: with Oswald were had some some CI ties in some way. Yeah,
- 28:35Speaker 3: why should in Augustine Guitard, right.
- 28:37Speaker 2: I don't think any of them didn't have either FBI
- 28:40Speaker 2: or CIA ties in terms of being an informant or
- 28:44Speaker 2: even agents in some certain stances. So yeah, that's a problem,
- 28:50Speaker 2: as we like to say here.
- 28:51Speaker 4: Yeah, he spent a number of summer vacations in Mexico
- 28:56Speaker 4: and has a fair command of the Spanish language and
- 28:59Speaker 4: has acted as the chaplain of the Catholic Cuban Catholic
- 29:03Speaker 4: Committee of Dallas since nineteen sixty one.
- 29:05Speaker 3: The Committee, Yeah, real quick, if you're checking off suspicious
- 29:10Speaker 3: boxes at home, there's another one vacation in Mexico.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. If you're following along at home, your boxes
- 29:22Speaker 2: are filled pun intended. The Committee contract contacted employees and
- 29:28Speaker 2: attempt to find places for Cubans to work. Like you mentioned,
- 29:31Speaker 2: it organized religious and social functions in order to make
- 29:35Speaker 2: Dallas a friendly place for the Cubans who were sent there.
- 29:40Speaker 2: In nineteen sixty one, the organization had no funds and
- 29:43Speaker 2: solicited funds among the people of Dallas. In March sixty two,
- 29:48Speaker 2: the Cuban Catholic Committees held a meeting in Miami, which
- 29:54Speaker 2: Father McCann attended. At that time, the Catholic Relief cert.
- 30:00Speaker 3: You can check off, folks.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Yeah, right, jam. At that time, the Catholic Relief Service
- 30:06Speaker 2: set up a revolving fund for the Cubans in Dallas
- 30:09Speaker 2: to furnish them relief until jobs could be found for them.
- 30:12Speaker 2: A resettlement office was open to Dallas, and Father McCann
- 30:15Speaker 2: was given the responsibility for the conduct of the office.
- 30:19Speaker 2: So he's kind of dishing out.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Funds, right, Yeah, he's helping. Yeah, he's distributing funds.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, I on a skip of sentence. Father McCann
- 30:30Speaker 2: stated that he never attended any of the political meetings
- 30:33Speaker 2: of the Cuban groups that were represented by the Cubans
- 30:37Speaker 2: in Dallas, although he often cajoled and entreated to attend them.
- 30:45Speaker 2: So he said he wasn't political, but he did attend them.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Is that what that says?
- 30:49Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 30:50Speaker 2: Okay, so he's pretty much full of shit, got it.
- 30:54Speaker 2: He felt that it was a better policy for him
- 30:56Speaker 2: to remain aloof from the differences of opinion that heard
- 31:00Speaker 2: among the various Cuban groups represented by the Cuban population.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Basically, he wanted to pretend like he was a fence
- 31:08Speaker 3: sitter like Joe and agree with both guys of the
- 31:11Speaker 3: aisle appear in bad favor with one of the other.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Yes, I am, I am defencer. Father McCann stated that
- 31:23Speaker 2: during his work with the committee, he came to.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Know Missus Caneal, Missus jess Canell.
- 31:32Speaker 2: But if you do have any relation, let us know
- 31:35Speaker 2: who was interested in assisting in the work of the committee,
- 31:39Speaker 2: and who was especially interested in the welfare of Missus
- 31:43Speaker 2: Sylvia Odio in view of mister Missus Odio's mental condition.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Now me, let me let me stop you again. Please,
- 31:52Speaker 3: do you know when you when you're talking about this
- 31:57Speaker 3: type of person who takes an interested in someone else
- 32:03Speaker 3: heavily when there's no really real reason to, you're often
- 32:07Speaker 3: reminded of people like Reith Payne right or some other
- 32:13Speaker 3: various type of babysitter. If you will right, well check
- 32:19Speaker 3: that box. Missus Lucille Colonel Yes.
- 32:24Speaker 2: We will get into one of her interviews, I believe
- 32:28Speaker 2: in the next few slides after we get through this.
- 32:32Speaker 2: He acknowledges knowing a few Scafusa's hesker isquaderdo which I
- 32:38Speaker 2: know Boylan has mentioned all of whom he met during
- 32:41Speaker 2: his work with the Cuban Catholic Committee. He also acknowledges
- 32:45Speaker 2: knowing Colonel and Missus Castor. He said, Colonel Castor is
- 32:50Speaker 2: a retired retired Army colonel.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Okay, let's check another box there, Joe. When we're talking
- 32:56Speaker 3: about retired Army colonels in generals and being around this
- 33:00Speaker 3: whole Cuban exiles Kennedy assassination thing, there's another box you
- 33:04Speaker 3: can check.
- 33:05Speaker 2: M hm uh. Missus Castor seemed generally interested in the
- 33:10Speaker 2: plight of the Cubange refugees, but that he always felt
- 33:14Speaker 2: that Colonel Caster was quote playing the role of an
- 33:17Speaker 2: intelligence officer end quote in his contacts with the Cubans.
- 33:25Speaker 2: How many boxes is anyone checking their boxes at home?
- 33:28Speaker 2: Do we know how many boxes?
- 33:29Speaker 3: We have a running tab over here the boxes, efecked, Uh,
- 33:35Speaker 3: not none yet.
- 33:36Speaker 2: That he seems to be more interested in their political
- 33:39Speaker 2: beliefs than their economic plight or their social programs in
- 33:43Speaker 2: the new country. Now we are going to get to
- 33:46Speaker 2: a Jay Martin rob we have covered before, although granted
- 33:50Speaker 2: it was almost three years ago. He stated that he
- 33:53Speaker 2: was introduced to John also known as Juan or Johnny
- 33:58Speaker 2: Martin uh, whom he described as a Latin but not
- 34:02Speaker 2: a Cuban I believe, alleged to be.
- 34:06Speaker 5: From Uruguay right Gwyan Gayan.
- 34:10Speaker 2: He stated that mister Martin came to Missus Sylvia Odio's
- 34:14Speaker 2: apartment one evening while he was there.
- 34:20Speaker 3: So now this is father McCann saying all this.
- 34:24Speaker 2: So father McCann was there and he says Martin came
- 34:28Speaker 2: to visit missus Sylvia Odio.
- 34:32Speaker 3: Yeah, he didn't stay long. Maybe Father McCann was taking
- 34:39Speaker 3: a little confession from Silviodio that night.
- 34:45Speaker 2: He didn't mister Martin did not stay the very long
- 34:47Speaker 2: after he left, missus Odio staying that mister Martin represented
- 34:50Speaker 2: a Cuban group or was doing a job for a
- 34:53Speaker 2: Cuban group in Dallas. And I believe rob he owned
- 34:56Speaker 2: a laundry Mattia. Yeah, yes, allegedly, Father McCann was under Okay,
- 35:07Speaker 2: I was under the impression that Martin had an apartment
- 35:11Speaker 2: or a house in Dallas, but that he did not
- 35:14Speaker 2: live in Dallas. And a family in some other city
- 35:17Speaker 2: say that this was only contact with Martin, but that
- 35:20Speaker 2: Martin was apparently well known to missus Odio. So again
- 35:26Speaker 2: you have a lot of people hovering around the odios
- 35:31Speaker 2: and the audio sisters.
- 35:33Speaker 3: And again, if you're playing at home, here is contact
- 35:35Speaker 3: with a not just any Jay Martin, but a John
- 35:39Speaker 3: Johnny Juan Martin. So you can check those four boxes
- 35:43Speaker 3: off of the list as well.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Bingo. Father McCanns said that while he was interested in
- 35:55Speaker 2: the Cuban groups in Dallas, he was contacted about four
- 35:57Speaker 2: or five times by the Wallace Height of the Dallas
- 36:02Speaker 2: office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Of course, Heypman
- 36:05Speaker 2: is a name that comes up a lot in a
- 36:08Speaker 2: lot of the post documents on the FBI right walls.
- 36:13Speaker 2: I'm not so sure about, but I believe I recognized
- 36:16Speaker 2: his name as well. He first made a contact with
- 36:20Speaker 2: Heypeman when it came to his attention that one of
- 36:23Speaker 2: these Cuban refugees was extorting money from some other Cubans,
- 36:27Speaker 2: was making false promises to the Cubans, was a destructive
- 36:30Speaker 2: influence in the Cuban community, and was considered by Father
- 36:34Speaker 2: McCann to be a quote political Cuban end quote, rather
- 36:38Speaker 2: than a Cuban that was interested in receiving any assistance
- 36:47Speaker 2: from the committee. This would be the Cuban Catholic Committee. Right.
- 36:52Speaker 2: So again, when we talk about all these Cuban groups
- 36:56Speaker 2: kind of having these little rivalries, right, which we've talkedalked
- 37:00Speaker 2: about a lot this past year, this kind of lines
- 37:03Speaker 2: up with that right round. Yep, he couldnt recall the
- 37:06Speaker 2: name of this cuban, but he leaves the cuban and
- 37:08Speaker 2: is still employed at Parkland Hospital.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Copy right there, real quick stop me, Okay, Parkland Hospital,
- 37:16Speaker 3: check that box.
- 37:18Speaker 2: But also there is a check after Parkland. Ironically, there's
- 37:23Speaker 2: a lot of checks on these.
- 37:26Speaker 3: So approximately six weeks before the assassination, approximately the same
- 37:33Speaker 3: time that Lee Harvey Oswald got his job at the
- 37:36Speaker 3: school Bok depository, around the middle of October, father mcann
- 37:40Speaker 3: disappears mysteriously and nobody knows where he is or what
- 37:47Speaker 3: he's doing or anything. He shows up at Parkland Hospital
- 37:56Speaker 3: a week well, I don't know how long he was there,
- 37:58Speaker 3: but he it's I guess. They call his mother and
- 38:03Speaker 3: tell him, tell her finally, Hey, look, we have your
- 38:06Speaker 3: son here in the psych ward at Parkland Hospital, babbling incoherently, disheveled,
- 38:16Speaker 3: possibly experiencing a mental breakdown, possibly on drugs, whatever the
- 38:23Speaker 3: case is. We don't know exactly, but that he was
- 38:27Speaker 3: released from Parkland Hospital to the care of his mother
- 38:34Speaker 3: a week before the assassination. And then remember, shortly after
- 38:39Speaker 3: the assassination, he decides to just move to New Orleans
- 38:42Speaker 3: and start going to Loyola University, which is weird.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Yeah, because that's what you usually do when you leave
- 38:48Speaker 2: a psych word, right, you go to.
- 38:50Speaker 3: University, right and decide, you know, suddenly leave the priesthood
- 38:55Speaker 3: and decided to become a university student. Yeah. Think that
- 39:02Speaker 3: what it's worth.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and you have you know Heypeman had with him
- 39:08Speaker 2: were drop in visits. When Heypman was in the vicinity
- 39:11Speaker 2: of the Lakewood Building in Dallas. Hypeman would stop and
- 39:14Speaker 2: ask whether he knew of the existence of a certain
- 39:17Speaker 2: Cuban group, Cuban or Cuban group. He always cooperated to
- 39:21Speaker 2: the best of his ability with the FBI agents.
- 39:24Speaker 3: And this is FBI in formant Father McCann, FBI and
- 39:30Speaker 3: former check that box off.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Yes, And ironically there is a check through FBI agents
- 39:36Speaker 2: in this document. Uh Man. When asked concerning as knowledge
- 39:43Speaker 2: of the Juray Group check among the Cubans, he stated
- 39:50Speaker 2: he knew very little about the various Cuban groups such
- 39:53Speaker 2: as Juray, the Student Revolutionary Directative CRC, or the Segundo
- 40:00Speaker 2: Fronte del Eskamba.
- 40:03Speaker 3: You'll need to read all his horseshit. Joe just kind
- 40:05Speaker 3: of skipped through and hit the high points.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Okay. He denied knowing anything about Lee Harvey Oswalt prior
- 40:13Speaker 2: to November twenty second. He stated that sometime in December
- 40:17Speaker 2: sixty three, Sylvia Odio informed him that a group of
- 40:20Speaker 2: Cubans had brought to her apartment. That a group of
- 40:25Speaker 2: Cubans had brought Oswalt to her apartment. She told him
- 40:29Speaker 2: she discussed this matter fully with FBI agents early in December,
- 40:32Speaker 2: subsequent to his living in New Orleans, of the Audio
- 40:36Speaker 2: had written a letter to him, which again which she
- 40:41Speaker 2: again stated that she had discussed her meeting of Oswalt
- 40:45Speaker 2: with government officials. Father McCann was not certain whether she
- 40:50Speaker 2: meant she had another discussion with the FBI or whether
- 40:54Speaker 2: she had talked to someone else about the subject. Father
- 40:58Speaker 2: McCann felt that Sylvie Odio's aggravated mental condition since November
- 41:04Speaker 2: twenty two was caused by her concern that the Cuban
- 41:08Speaker 2: community might become involved in some way with the assassination
- 41:12Speaker 2: in view of their association with Oswald. Shortly before the assassination.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Now that's an interesting last part of the sentence there.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, she fainted, she had been talking to her
- 41:27Speaker 3: uncle possibly.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Yeah, she fainted at her employment when she learned of
- 41:35Speaker 2: the assassination of President Kennedy and the arrest of Oswald. However,
- 41:39Speaker 2: he stated McCann that she is inclined to be highly dramatic,
- 41:44Speaker 2: and she may be building up her belief in an
- 41:48Speaker 2: association with Oswald out of all proportion to what it was,
- 41:53Speaker 2: if in fact there was any.
- 41:57Speaker 3: And this is a very important observation by father McCann.
- 42:02Speaker 3: He's basically saying that he doesn't believe her when it
- 42:06Speaker 3: comes to Oswald visiting the apartment.
- 42:08Speaker 2: But right, and of course, the issue with Oswald visiting
- 42:13Speaker 2: the apartment was he was supposed to be in Mexico City.
- 42:15Speaker 2: It caused a bunch of problems for the Work Commission.
- 42:18Speaker 2: We all know this. But let me ask you this, Rob,
- 42:21Speaker 2: do you think father McCann.
- 42:24Speaker 3: Would have.
- 42:27Speaker 2: Kind of been on the side of the exiles, even
- 42:30Speaker 2: though he claims not to be political whatever, and maybe
- 42:34Speaker 2: tried to get them out of the way in a.
- 42:37Speaker 3: Sense, well, just to briefly divert from the document there
- 42:45Speaker 3: while we pontificate here. I don't know what to make
- 42:50Speaker 3: a father McCann. I mean, to me, he's got all
- 42:54Speaker 3: the earmarks of some kind of intelligence guy posing as
- 43:02Speaker 3: a Catholic priest. Now he might have legitimately been a
- 43:06Speaker 3: Catholic priest, but not like David Ferry's made up religion
- 43:11Speaker 3: Catholic priests. Like he might have been legit but considering
- 43:15Speaker 3: his actions and his propensity for young Latina women, if
- 43:23Speaker 3: you will, and the various places that he pops up
- 43:29Speaker 3: and the things that happened to him, screamed to me
- 43:32Speaker 3: that he's some kind of intelligence asset.
- 43:36Speaker 2: I would agree.
- 43:38Speaker 3: Being moved around he we just read he's an FBI
- 43:43Speaker 3: in formant.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Yeah, and he didn't say it, but they pretty much
- 43:49Speaker 2: said it.
- 43:50Speaker 3: I mean, thinks about it for a second. He's in
- 43:52Speaker 3: the perfect position to know a lot about the Cuban
- 43:55Speaker 3: exile community. He's basically rehousing them, resettling them. He knows
- 43:59Speaker 3: where they live, he knows where they meet, He's been
- 44:01Speaker 3: to the meetings, he knows what they talk about. He
- 44:04Speaker 3: probably knows the suss ones. I mean, he's a priest,
- 44:07Speaker 3: so he's taken confessions from him. I mean, he he
- 44:10Speaker 3: knows all kinds of shit about him. You know what
- 44:14Speaker 3: better what but who better to use as an asset
- 44:18Speaker 3: for intelligence than this guy? Right? Right?
- 44:22Speaker 2: And I believe Rob he was at a couple of
- 44:26Speaker 2: meetings at the Harlandale house. Yeah, I write it. I'm
- 44:30Speaker 2: not sure if I have the document, but I.
- 44:32Speaker 5: Know Hora Martin Solizer.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Yes, let's see, he believed that any association with Oswalt
- 44:46Speaker 2: was extremely limited and confined to the one instance in
- 44:50Speaker 2: which Oswalt is alleged to have visited her home with
- 44:53Speaker 2: a group from the jury. So this kid is like,
- 45:00Speaker 2: goes against the other statements, does it not?
- 45:05Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I said, dude, it sounds to me like
- 45:07Speaker 3: he doesn't believe her. Like, look, Sylvia Odio has some
- 45:11Speaker 3: serious mental problems, as we'll see as this story progresses.
- 45:15Speaker 3: And it's not out of the realm, but possibly possibility
- 45:18Speaker 3: that if he knows her as well as he I
- 45:20Speaker 3: think he knows her right, he's hitting it, yeah, which
- 45:25Speaker 3: means you know her pretty well, then he would meet
- 45:28Speaker 3: you know, he would know kind of when she's being
- 45:31Speaker 3: dramatic and making ship up right.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Again, you have to look at these things through the
- 45:38Speaker 3: lens of you know, these things are so ingrained in
- 45:41Speaker 3: the jfk assassination. Lord, we take it for granted that
- 45:43Speaker 3: this should actually happened, but what if it didn't? Does it?
- 45:47Speaker 3: Does it? Does it shed any new light on things?
- 45:51Speaker 3: And that's what we're trying to figure out here tonight.
- 45:53Speaker 2: So yeah, McCann and I never having a discussion with
- 45:58Speaker 2: Sylvia Odios to the identity of this group and denied
- 46:01Speaker 2: ever hearing the name Leopaldo mentioned other than in connection
- 46:06Speaker 2: with this visit. He did state, however, that it's inconceivable
- 46:10Speaker 2: that Oswalt was brought to Odio and introduced by her
- 46:13Speaker 2: by anyone from the jury here, that someone well known
- 46:18Speaker 2: to her. Inconceivable, impossible, Yes, he said, a man by
- 46:27Speaker 2: the name of Alentada Ali and Tada, who is said
- 46:34Speaker 2: to be the representative for the jury group in Dallas,
- 46:38Speaker 2: would know who is active in this group. Alentada is
- 46:41Speaker 2: said to be a Certified Public Accountant a CPA in
- 46:44Speaker 2: Dallas and frequently came to Miss Odio looking for help
- 46:48Speaker 2: for jury. And I don't really doubt that because her
- 46:55Speaker 2: family was pretty wealthy.
- 46:57Speaker 3: But who the l knows? Again, Yeah, family's wealthy. She's
- 47:01Speaker 3: a nutjob. Probably easy to get money out of her,
- 47:05Speaker 3: she has access to it.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Nutjaw baddie man. They're hard to their hard to steer
- 47:12Speaker 2: clear of Odio is described with twenty six years old
- 47:19Speaker 2: of age, so the same age as father McCann, who
- 47:23Speaker 2: now lives with her three small children. She popped out
- 47:26Speaker 2: a few and her sister Serena and west Lover's Lane
- 47:34Speaker 2: ironically Dallas, Texas.
- 47:36Speaker 3: And let me point out real quick, so Sylvia Odio
- 47:40Speaker 3: at the right be young age of twenty six had
- 47:42Speaker 3: already had four kids all right by the time she's
- 47:47Speaker 3: twenty six, which means she is not averse to doing
- 47:50Speaker 3: the deed right. Apparently she had left her children in
- 47:57Speaker 3: Puerto Rico.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Right, which is where she immigrated from.
- 48:02Speaker 3: Yep. And then I guess they came once she got settled,
- 48:05Speaker 3: because a week after the supposed audio incident, actually the
- 48:11Speaker 3: weekend after the supposed audio incident, she moved to a
- 48:17Speaker 3: different apartment.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 48:21Speaker 3: And that's why she said she remembered allegedly when Oswald
- 48:25Speaker 3: and these two other guys showed up because they were
- 48:28Speaker 3: packing up and getting ready to move, and they moved
- 48:31Speaker 3: that that weekend, so they had to visit. It was
- 48:35Speaker 3: either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday night, you know type of thing. Right,
- 48:40Speaker 3: So I'm guessing her kids came after she got into
- 48:44Speaker 3: her new apartment. I guess she sent for the kids
- 48:47Speaker 3: to be sent.
- 48:47Speaker 2: To her right later, right right, But.
- 48:50Speaker 3: Then for the for those six months while she's in Dallas,
- 48:53Speaker 3: she did not have her kids.
- 48:56Speaker 2: Interesting, so she was a bachelorette if you will. Yes,
- 49:02Speaker 2: another sister, Annie Laurie Odio, single, eighteen years of age.
- 49:08Speaker 2: I bet she was a baddie as well, is now
- 49:13Speaker 2: living in Miami. Father McCann says he did not know
- 49:17Speaker 2: Sylvia Odio prior to March sixty three when she came
- 49:21Speaker 2: to Dallas from Puerto Rico, but that he knew her
- 49:24Speaker 2: sister of Sarltha in connection with the Cuban Relief Committee,
- 49:34Speaker 2: and that he also knew her younger sister and Annie Laurie,
- 49:38Speaker 2: So he knows the whole family. Bro. He knows the
- 49:45Speaker 2: all the sisters who was attending school in Dallas prior
- 49:48Speaker 2: to missus Odio's arrival.
- 49:51Speaker 3: I bet he does know them all.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Yeah, well, that's on the report. He stated that when
- 49:57Speaker 2: missus Odio arrived in Dallas, the she was ill for
- 50:01Speaker 2: the first few months, probably mentally. She made the acquaintance
- 50:06Speaker 2: of persons like Missus Connell, who introduced her to some
- 50:13Speaker 2: very prominent people in Dallas. None of these people assisted
- 50:18Speaker 2: missus Odio financially, and the family at that time was
- 50:21Speaker 2: supported by the funds furnished by the Catholic Cuban Committee
- 50:25Speaker 2: and by selling some of the possessions they had bought
- 50:28Speaker 2: brought with them from Puerto Rico, such as gold, coins, jewelry, etc.
- 50:34Speaker 2: They were living a very meager existence and when the
- 50:38Speaker 2: children arrived from Puerto Rico, so you're right, Rob, they
- 50:41Speaker 2: arrived after there was a real strain on their financial resources. Yeah,
- 50:47Speaker 2: you have a lot of mouse to feed. Their situation
- 50:51Speaker 2: was complicated by missus Odio's mental condition, which required psychotherapy periodically.
- 51:00Speaker 3: And real quick, let me jump in here, Joe yep, So,
- 51:05Speaker 3: going back a little bit to when she first arrived
- 51:09Speaker 3: in Dallas, like I said, I think it was March
- 51:11Speaker 3: sixty three. Yeah, curiously enough and pull your Bengo cards
- 51:16Speaker 3: out here, people. So on Wednesday, April the tenth, nineteen
- 51:25Speaker 3: sixty three, Sylvia and her sisters went to the movies.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Joe, hmm, what was April tenth?
- 51:32Speaker 3: Rob, Well, in the middle of the movie, suddenly Sylvia
- 51:35Speaker 3: Odio stands up walks out. They thought she was going
- 51:39Speaker 3: to the bathroom, but she never came back, So of
- 51:45Speaker 3: course this was be a little alarming to the to
- 51:47Speaker 3: the other sisters, who enlisted the help of the police
- 51:50Speaker 3: to try to locate her because they couldn't find her
- 51:54Speaker 3: and she didn't she didn't drive. So they finally found
- 51:59Speaker 3: Sylvia wandering around Turtle Creek Boulevard in the vicinity of
- 52:06Speaker 3: General Walker's house nineteen sixty three, which just happens to
- 52:12Speaker 3: be Joe. It just happens to me the same day
- 52:17Speaker 3: that somebody took a shot at General Walker, somebody on
- 52:22Speaker 3: Turtle Creek Boulevard. So you can check those one, two, three, four, five.
- 52:28Speaker 3: However many boxes there to check there, check.
- 52:31Speaker 2: Them, and I think we're in like a dozen by now. Yeah,
- 52:36Speaker 2: but that is really interesting, really interesting, And I'm not
- 52:41Speaker 2: saying she had any involvement in that or whatever, but
- 52:46Speaker 2: it's the coincidence of that is troubling to me.
- 52:53Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a whole lot to this story that's troubling
- 52:57Speaker 3: to me.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Yeah. So Father McCann was requested to call missus Odio
- 53:03Speaker 2: an attempt to secure her from the same from the
- 53:05Speaker 2: name of the jury representative who accompanied Oswalt. He agreed
- 53:09Speaker 2: to place the call, stating that if he couldnot induce
- 53:13Speaker 2: her to tell him who the people were, he could
- 53:16Speaker 2: induce her again rob interesting wording here, he could induce
- 53:21Speaker 2: her to tell it to the proper authorities. He said.
- 53:26Speaker 2: Sylvia Odio would be reluctant to give any information which
- 53:30Speaker 2: might compromise her position among the Cubans Cuban exiles, or
- 53:36Speaker 2: which would result in the Cubans being embarrassed or in
- 53:39Speaker 2: any way connected with the assassination. This, of course, is
- 53:44Speaker 2: not quite consistent with her informing others in December that
- 53:48Speaker 2: Oswalt was brought to her by members of the Judae.
- 53:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Now say, if you're a conspiracy theorist here and
- 53:57Speaker 3: you're thinking in your conspiratorial mind, Okay. This thing basically,
- 54:07Speaker 3: which was not an uncommon thing, according to Fatimer Cann,
- 54:11Speaker 3: that some of these Cuban exiles would visit wealthy, well
- 54:16Speaker 3: off Cubans in an attempt to secure funds for the movement.
- 54:19Speaker 3: Right right now. Of course, her parents are in jail, Okay,
- 54:25Speaker 3: so she doesn't have access to the funds. Right He's
- 54:30Speaker 3: living in a very meager existence in Dallas, which adds
- 54:34Speaker 3: to her stress levels of her psychopathy. Right right, But
- 54:40Speaker 3: these Cuban exiles don't know that they know that a
- 54:43Speaker 3: you know, the check out money. This family had money,
- 54:46Speaker 3: you know, downed all the railroads in Cuba, you know,
- 54:50Speaker 3: but you got the money. No, I don't, Yeah you do. No,
- 54:52Speaker 3: I don't, yeah you do. But I think the father
- 55:00Speaker 3: McCann is right here by saying that missus that Sylvia
- 55:05Speaker 3: Odio would not ever reveal who the names of these
- 55:09Speaker 3: people who came to see her was because she probably
- 55:13Speaker 3: knows who they were, but wouldn't reveal it because she
- 55:18Speaker 3: didn't want to implicate or embarrass any other you know,
- 55:22Speaker 3: human exiles and have something come back on her. I mean,
- 55:25Speaker 3: she she's she has four young children. She doesn't want
- 55:28Speaker 3: to get roped into all this shit. She doesn't want
- 55:30Speaker 3: to be hunted down and killed for pelling the FBI
- 55:33Speaker 3: who came to visit her. And and I think this
- 55:37Speaker 3: whole Oswald or Leon Oswald being with these two guys
- 55:42Speaker 3: is if the figment, the figment thing part of her imagination.
- 55:48Speaker 2: Right, very well could be.
- 55:51Speaker 3: That's just my take, Brank, It very well could be. So.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Father McCann stated that it was the duty of every
- 55:57Speaker 2: citizen to cooperate to the Folips. This stent in the
- 56:01Speaker 2: President's Commissions investigation. Yes, sure, and that he felt he
- 56:05Speaker 2: was bound in conscience to give whatever assistance he could. Yes,
- 56:09Speaker 2: he's a godly man. He said he did not feel
- 56:14Speaker 2: he was violating the confidence and giving any information previously given,
- 56:18Speaker 2: since he had been informed by missus Odio that she
- 56:21Speaker 2: had discussed this information with the proper authorities. He did
- 56:26Speaker 2: not realize at the time that she had not made
- 56:28Speaker 2: a full and frank disclosure of the names of people
- 56:32Speaker 2: of the people who brought Oswald to her. So this
- 56:39Speaker 2: is kind of the long letter. I think we only
- 56:41Speaker 2: have one page left. Father McCann said he did not
- 56:45Speaker 2: feel he could call missus Odio in the presence of
- 56:49Speaker 2: Inspector Kelly right with the Secret Service, and he would
- 56:53Speaker 2: prefer to talk to her privately. Again, Rob, check off
- 57:01Speaker 2: another box here with that sentence.
- 57:04Speaker 3: Yeah, restricting the flow of information.
- 57:07Speaker 2: Yes, and you're talking about FBI to Secret Service, and
- 57:15Speaker 2: of course we've gone on and on about inner agency
- 57:17Speaker 2: conflict and covering her hands and blah blah blah. But yeah,
- 57:21Speaker 2: it's it's a problem. It was agreed that he would
- 57:26Speaker 2: call missus Odio shortly after six thirty pm Central standard time,
- 57:31Speaker 2: April thirtieth, and he was furnished and necessary funds to
- 57:35Speaker 2: make the call. Upon his return to Inspector Kelly's room
- 57:40Speaker 2: about seven thirty pm, he said he had made the
- 57:44Speaker 2: call to missus Odio and Dallas, and that she was
- 57:47Speaker 2: very anxious to discuss the entire matter. I'm sure she
- 57:51Speaker 2: was not sarcastically, she advised him, and this is kind
- 57:57Speaker 2: of in brackets here, she advised him. The only information
- 58:00Speaker 2: she could provide on the people who visited her was
- 58:03Speaker 2: that one of them said he was using the code
- 58:05Speaker 2: name of Leopaldo, which I believe rob is like a
- 58:08Speaker 2: Cuban war name, right or whatever it is. That the
- 58:14Speaker 2: second man she could identify as Eugenio Cicineros, and the
- 58:19Speaker 2: third man was introduced to her as Leon. She said
- 58:24Speaker 2: Leon did not use the name of Oswalt in her presence,
- 58:27Speaker 2: but that she recognized him after November twenty second as
- 58:30Speaker 2: being the same man who was arrested for the assassination
- 58:34Speaker 2: of President Kennedy. She further described the men as being
- 58:39Speaker 2: quote greasy looking Cubans, more like Mexicans than Cubans, although
- 58:44Speaker 2: they did not have Mexican accents end quote. She stated
- 58:50Speaker 2: that they were members of Jura and they had a
- 58:54Speaker 2: letter in Spanish which they wished her to translate into
- 59:00Speaker 2: English for the purpose of sending copies of this letter
- 59:03Speaker 2: to the United States companies to secure funds for their cause.
- 59:08Speaker 2: She further stated that in the course of the conversation,
- 59:11Speaker 2: the man she now identifies as Oswald spoke quote a
- 59:15Speaker 2: couple of words in Spanish, and further that the others
- 59:20Speaker 2: informed her that they were going to make a trip.
- 59:26Speaker 2: These men did not enter her apartment or sit down.
- 59:30Speaker 2: She said she was a little afraid of them since
- 59:33Speaker 2: she did not know them, although they used the underground
- 59:36Speaker 2: code word names of her father and mother and seemed
- 59:40Speaker 2: very familiar with their family and conditions in Cuba. Her
- 59:48Speaker 2: eighteen year old Batty's sister, Annie Laurie, who is now
- 59:51Speaker 2: in Miami, was babysitting with missus Odio's children that evening.
- 59:57Speaker 2: Missus Odio was ready to go out and never did
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: ask the visitors to sit down. The entire conversation she
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: had with them in the doorway of her apartment at
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: the Crestwood Apartments. She is not able to fix the
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: date any better than sometime in September of nineteen sixty three,
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: so the date, the date isn't even really.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: Confirmed, right, and she she you know, describes them as
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: being greasy looking Cubans more like Mexicans, although they did
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: not have Mexican accents. So if you're you know, a
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: young a young girl, a young lady living in an
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: apartment with your other sisters and their kids, are you
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: going to invite three greasy looking Cubans into your apartment
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: to talk to them?
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: I want to, especially if they're asking for money?
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: Right? But then she says, well, then the story changes
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: and said she never well, she said she never did
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: ask the visitors to sit down, the entire conversation she
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: had then what was in the doorway of her apartment,
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: So apparently she did outlist him.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: Inn right, it's weird, man, this whole thing is weird.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: Name Eugenio Ciscenario. So file that away, folks.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: Yes, uh, missus Odio said she refused to assist them
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: in their project of translating the letter, which I believe
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: if if it was Hall and Howard they would have
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: been able to translate that.
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: No, Uh, they wouldn't have needed to, I wouldn't think,
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: and they wouldn't have claimed to be affiliated with Jure
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: either if it was hall On Howard and no Corey,
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: it was not hall On Howard.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Mm hmm. So so did they just like name drop
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: Dure to try to get some funds not knowing, not
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: knowing that maybe she didn't have access to the funds
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: type of thing.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I'm sure that you know, the their organization,
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: like all the other Cuban exile organizations, you know, they
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: stemmed out of Miami, and they had the little fingerlings,
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: you know, all across the United States and these you know,
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: higher concentrated Cuban refugee communities, and the Jury wasn't anything
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: huge or special or anything like that. It was one
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: of the more tame, huge exile groups, if you wish obscure. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: I mean, so again, they might have had some information
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: maybe trickling down out of Miami. You know, her parents
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: are loaded. See if he get the money for you
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: out of her or whatever. And look, these guys weren't
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: doing anything special. They were doing the same thing that
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: Lauren Hall, Lawrence Howard, Jerry Hemming were all doing and
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: going around to the big fat as and trying to
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: raise money for the cause. Tur Castro and it's a grift.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: It's a grift, folks.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it's all a grift with these guys.
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: Any intentions of putting that money towards you know, buying
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: a boat or buying weapons or whatever, you know, it's just,
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: you know, it's a grift.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: I think some some groups did have that, but I
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: think a majority of them didn't. You know, there were
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: differentiating levels of of motivation in a sense.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: Right yeah, and real operators, you know, you have you
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: have these people who were collectors. You know, they went
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: around and collected money, but never did ship. You know,
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: like you never saw Lauren Hall hop on a boat
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: and go to Cuba and with a gun and try
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: to kill anybody. I mean, yes, he was in a
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: prison there, and he probably wasn't any hurd to go
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: back in a Cuban prison, right right. He also probably
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: didn't have a death wish either, So you know, people
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: like him.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: I don't think Lawrence Howard, I don't do we know
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: about Lawrence Howard having any.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: Well, he was part of Interpin with Jerry Hemming originally,
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: and even the group Interpin. I mean, when you're thinking
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: about all them dudes, what did they really do? They
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: didn't do ship. They put on errors, they they showed face.
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: You know, they pretended like they were training in no
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: name key and always tried to get a boat and somehow,
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: you know, he's always thwarted their efforts, somehow, you know,
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: almost like they had an informant in the group, you know,
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: see imagine that. But you know, then you have different
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: levels of operators, like guys like uh oh Felipa Dwo Santiago.
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: You don't hear about much doing shit in the United States,
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: but this guy was actually going out on boats and
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: walking the walk and talking to talk. You know, he
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: did go speak to General Walker apparently right for the assassination.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: A couple of times, I believe in sixty three.
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: Yeah, at least we know he was actually on a boat.
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: I mean he got blew up on a fucking boat.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and then was later killed in Cuba.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: Right, you know, killed you know, doing this ship.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: So right, so when you talk about levels of commitment, this.
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: Is levels of sincerity. Right movement. A lot of these
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: guys talked a big game, but when it came down
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: to it, yeah.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: They they they went to the uh you know, far
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: right wing meetings, right and tried to raise money. But
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: I'm talking about like Lauren Hall. But did they.
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: Actually they never did anything put.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: Their money where their mouth was. I don't know exactly,
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: but it doesn't seem like so.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it seems like they were always scheming, you know,
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: get you know, hit the next con and moved. You know,
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: they were costantly on the move throughout California, Texas, Louisiana,
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: and Florida. Yeah, it was always worth back and forth.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: It was always the next con.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Bro.
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's pretty obvious. So let me continue here,
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: missus let mess see the men. She says, sorry that
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: she was was the Apollo called her the next day,
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: and a part of the conversation he told her that
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: Leon was willing to do anything that he laughed at
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: the Cuban saying they had no quote guts unquote, that
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: would be easy to kill Kennedy. After the Bay of
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: Pigs invasion, missus Odio said that when the group first
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: came to the apartment, they asked for her sister, si Rita.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: That is true. And when they we're told that Cirito
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: was not there, but that she with Sylvia, they said, well,
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: you're the one we want, the oldest. You were the
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: one that we want to talk to anyway. Sylvia further
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: said that she did not tell anything to the FBI
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: because they had not they did not ask her these questions.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: She said she felt that the FBI interviewed her improperly
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: and that they came to her place of employment and
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: asked about her and interviewed her there and it became
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: a source of embarrassment to her and later quit her
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: job at the chemical company partially on this account.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: So what is not mentioned here is this chemical company.
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: You can check this box off on your checklist as well.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: I mean, we have Oswald and Leslie working at Leslie Welding.
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: When it comes back to Dallas, you have Roscoe White
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: getting blown up in a welding place with chemicals, and
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: this happens to work at a quote unquote chemical company
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: in Dallas. Yes, we don't know the actual name of
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: but yeah, yes.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: And if you are following along on YouTube, we are
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: on the middle bottom part of the left hand side.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: Father McCann insisted that in the latest conversation, again he's
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: the intermediator here right in most of the conversations he
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: had with Sylvia about this matter. She insisted that the
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: manas she identified as Oswald, had a mustache, or at
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: least he had not shaved recently, that he was quote
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: disgusting looking end quote because of his dark beard and
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: unkept appearance.
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: And this was not Oswald ever, right, that's I.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: Was going to ask you to check off the box.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: I don't even know if he could grow a mustache
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: and a beard, to be honest.
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: With you, Yeah, it was Oswald's very well, was very neat,
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: if you will, according to all accounts, could he have
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: not shaved for a couple of days, sure, I just.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: It's we've never seen a picture of him not shaved
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: for a couple of days, correct, And we have pictures
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: of every fucking step of his life.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Basically, In response to a question goodcerting a telephone call
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: missus Odio was let to have made to New Orleans
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: in recent months, Father McCann said that she had never
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: called him in New Orleans, but Sylvia had an aunt
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: and uncle in New Orleans. He identified the uncle as Rob.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: Doctor Augustine Gwetart, a physics professor at Xavier University in
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: New Orleans, Orleans. He knows that missus Odio frequently calls
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: doctor Gwetart as he has been in Gwetart's home on
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: occasions when she called, he said, Weetart has engaged in
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: no political activities, of course, among the Cuban groups in
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: New Orleans or Dallas, in so far as he knows.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: So again, you've gotta have Nick Ann being the handler
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: here in my humble opinion.
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: And look, you know, if you believe, and I'm starting
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: to that the anti Castro Cuban exiles were responsible for
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: setting up Oswald take the fall for this assassination, it
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: would make sense to throw Oswald into the story doing
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: something shady, you know what I mean, Yeah, and making
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: these little quick remarks. Well, you know, he's crazy enough
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: to feter Kennedy or kill Kennedy or something whatever Odio
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: had said. And it's not out of the realm of
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: possibility that Guitar would, you know, convince her to say this, right,
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: for the good of the Cuban calls, you know whatever, right.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: Right, And he already stated that Sylvia was concerned about
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: the good of the Cuban cause, right, and the same document.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, and this dude again somehow makes a
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: friend in Doctor Augustine Guitard, a physics professor at Xavier University.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: Mind you, McCann is attending Loyola University. So how in
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: the hell does he make of all people as a
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: friend in New Orleans doctor Augustine Guitart, who happens to
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: be Silviod his uncle, and he knows he's over there
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: so much talking to this dude that he knows that
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: Sylvia calls him all the time.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, that's a good point. And who happens, as
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: we said earlier, to also be at the hearing of
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: Oswalt after the fracas.
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: Ah, Brandon, Oh you're alive.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: He's alive.
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: Thank the good Lord, Thank you buddy. We appreciate you,
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: and thankfully you are alive. Welcome back, Sarah. We missed
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: you the other evening.
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: Yes we did, so. I just have one last page here,
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: Rob on this document of McCann father, McCann was asked
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: whether he had an opinion as to whether civia Odio
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: actually saw Oswalt on the night he's alleged to a
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: visitor her home with Leopaldo and Cccenarios. He replied that
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: he is skeptical of this story. Okay, so even McCann
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: doesn't really believe it. But we've talked about this before.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: Sylvia did not mention this visit to anyone until after
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: November twenty second, and he has a strong feeling that
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: either because of her mental condition, she now believes the
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: third man in the group was Oswalt after seeing his
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: photographs and after feeding the newspaper accounts about him, or
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: that she may, because of her crying need for recognition,
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: be attempting in this way to associate herself with a
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: spectacular event. So, Rob, I'm gonna stop right there. I
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: wish she would have thought me. She's wants attention in
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: some ways, but now she doesn't want attention.
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: Well, she doesn't want public attention. She wants to be helpful,
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: but she doesn't want it known that she's being helpful.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: Okay, I believe. Earlier in the document it said Father
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: McCann said, her known desire for recognition, but now she doesn't.
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: It just it doesn't line up for me, if you
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: know what I mean.
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: Yeah, again, it's just I'm with father McCann here, basically
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: doubting that this thing ever happened.
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Father McCann said, however, that while she was very mature,
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: intelligent person, this may be a subconscious reaction on her part,
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: and she may not be able to accept or perceive
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: the actual truth herself. Interesting. Father McCann said that missus
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: Odio I don't know. Father McCann said that miss Odio
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: had expressed a desire for him to be interviewed, saying
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: that she will be perfectly frank in any interview with
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: the authorities. Again check with the handler aspect of Father McCann,
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: that she is most anxious to clear the matter up
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: and will cooperate wholeheartedly in any inquiry and give her
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: recollection recollection of the matter to the best of her ability.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: McCann says that it is his opinion that she will
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: be entirely cooperative in her interview. In her telephone conversation,
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: miss Odio told Father McCann that Johnny Van Martin is
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: a Uruguayan who is supplying arms purchased in some South
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: America countries to some Cuban groups. Missus Odio is now
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: employed as a secretary at the Kroll Associates in Dallas,
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: and has requested that any interviews in connection with this
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: manner be at her home or at some place other
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: than her office. She obviously doesn't want to lose her job.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: Father McCann appeared to be very cooperative and friendly, and
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: expressed a desire to be as helpful as possible in
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: securing the cooperation of missus Odio. Very truly yours James.
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: Rawley of the Secret Service, Yeah, you're friendly.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: Informing ass can Yeah, he just screams informant to me
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: over Odio and I mean, hey, if you're gonna informing
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: on her, he may as well hit it as well, Right, that's.
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: What happens when you're playing both sides of the proverbial
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: things there. Joseph.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: Yeah, well they're both twenty six, so it's not like
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: it was anything underboard, you know. Yeah, I can't say
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: I wouldn't want to hit missus Odio. Hopefully my girlfriend
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: isn't listening, but yeah, that is uh one of the
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: warrant commissioned documents.
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: What is it to for.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: Something? Something?
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: The other sister is Eric Odio.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: Yeah, we gotta find a picture of her two nine
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: four three, But you can take that off the screen
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: for now, and I think I'll throw it back to
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: you for a little bit. I mean, we're gonna we're
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: gonna have to keep a lot we have a lot
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: of shit on this. We're gonna have to keep a
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: good amount of this for part two.
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: Oh, there's plenty. There's plenty of meat on the old
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: bone here and Joe.
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: But no, I know, I'm just saying an hour twenty end,
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: we're I have a lot of meat on my PowerPoint
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: bone as well, No pun intended.
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: So oh mean she, yes, there she is in all
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: her glory. There'll be audio little mini.
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: Dress, that's what they call it, baddie.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: She's got some nice gams, Joe. As they used to
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: say back in the old forties, you got some handsome
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: gams on her.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: Yeah, let me let me go through scroll through a
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: couple of comments before we move on, if you don't mind,
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: I haven't checked comments in like an hour. That's an hour,
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: so let me see. And I'm going through these really quickly,
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: so I'm sorry if I miss anything. I know, Uh
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: Turin came in. I know, Uh.
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: I think there was some kind of a I'll pay
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: a big bad Josh is here real quick while you're looking.
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: The Patrio calls. Letters sent from Cuba before the assassination
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: also referenced LHL as a crack shot who wanted to
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: shoot JFK. Yeah, I think there was a lot of
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: uh again, I'm starting to think, you know, because of
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: all the shit that went down in New Orleans, that
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: the anti cast human exile community was legitimately pissed off
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: at Kennedy and had every reason and right to want
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: to end him, and if they had formulated a plan
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: to do so, they found themselves the perfect jackass Patsy
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: and Lee Harvey Oswald m right.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: Who kind of like walked into the his own trap
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: in a sentence.
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: Right, he made his bed and they laid him in it.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: He left around and kind of found out, I believe,
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: and I believe that's kind of where I'm at. I
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: think that's close to where you're at. And the truth
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: styles shot you three free you were here? What's up,
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: mister Ashley, what's up? Thank you again? The double B.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: I'm just trying to make sure I don't miss anyone.
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: Bay bad Josh.
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: He said, Oodio's father equals Communist. Well, is that true,
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: because allegedly he was protesting.
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: He might have been Communist, but maybe not a fan
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: of the way Castro became Communists and siding with the Russians.
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know either. In prison.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: Yeah, so I'm sure he wasn't communist after that. All right,
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: thank you for that, and uh yeah, I'll hand it
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: over back to you, sir.
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: Okay. And by the way, do you know the Knicks
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: are playing in the Give A Ship.
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: I don't either. I don't care about basketball. A bunch
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: of my friends are Nick fans, and they're kind of
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: pissing me off, to be honest.
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: Okay, here we go, here we go. All right, here
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: we have a document and this is from October second,
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: sixty four, when the Warren Commission is investigating still whether
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: or not h Lawrence Howard, William Houston, Seymour, and Lauren
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: Eugene Hall. We're in Dallas at Odio's place, right.
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: Right, And and the date is kind of interesting to
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: me because this is what weeks before the Warren Commission
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: report is released.
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: No, I think it's already been released.
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: It's already been released. So they're like kind of covering
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: their ass like that this was a big problem.
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, they're still investigating this. Okay. So and by
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: this time, Sylvia Odio had moved to Miami. Check that
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: box off. Now. Interestingly, no, after father McCann is done
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: in New Orleans, he doesn't stay and he doesn't graduate
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: from loyal or spoiler alert, he moves from New Orleans
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: to Florida. Believe West Palm Beach to be exact. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: So here we have it says, with respect to the
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: photos of William Houston Seymour, what is taken in Key West,
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: Florida Sheriff's Office December fourth, sixty two another one from
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: San Diego fifty nine bureau tilla type from Kansas City,
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: Miami dot in San Diego instructed Miami to obtain the
- 1:22:52Speaker 3: photo of Seymour from the Key West Sheriff's office. Photos
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: of Seymour appeared to be of two differentdividuals. Gerald Patrick
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: Heaving s I do you know what that stands for?
- 1:23:02Speaker 6: Joe uh personal informant mm hmm, I like that I missed.
- 1:23:13Speaker 3: One, yeah, something like that, and in parentheses under development,
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: which means they are still currently working with him. Uh
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: As has a Paige Scafusa informant actually okay in Miami.
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: Out of Miami, who is acquainted with Seymour, was contacted
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: on September thirty and sixty four. Himing identified the San
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: Diego police photo as Seymour, and he identified the key
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: West Sheriff's Office photo as that of Ronald Ponce de
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: Leon again a Leon visited Silviodio allegedly, right, oh yeah, sure,
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: he advised at Ponce de Leon made recently be in
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: the US Army, possibly in Korea.
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: Yeah, also a member of inter Pen, right.
- 1:24:05Speaker 3: Yeah, also sitting on the couch in John Martino's house
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: at some point, I didn't say it, allegedly.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and yes, Hi Joshua, I did hear that my
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: alma mater, Valley Forge Military Academy is closing. It is sad,
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: but it is what it is. They admitted women, which
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: I don't have a problem with.
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: But and gaze and everything else in there they go,
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: maybe I.
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: As well kidding, Okay, sorry, sorry for the interruption.
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: So again ps I hemming advised that the American male.
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: All right, So if we back up this a little bit,
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: he he basically says. Celio Castro was described described an
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: American male in Dallas that when Hall and Howard left
- 1:24:59Speaker 3: their trailer of equipment, we're going to talk about lester
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: log here Catro. Celio Castro said Hall visited an American
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: woman in Dallas who had a seventeen year old daughter.
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: Having advised the American males very probably Lester Logue, a
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: geologist with the firm log In Patterson in the Meadows
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: Building in Dallas. He said the American woman is probably
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: Gloria Couthart, who lives in the Dorchester House at Saint
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: Joseph de Scafusa Street, in the corner of Maine of
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: a main thoroughfare in Dallas. He had picked the shit up, folks.
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: Interview of Sylvia Odio on October first, sixty four was
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: conducted by a special agents Lehman and James. She was cordial,
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: expressed her desire to cooperate, and, although apparently a tense individual,
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: gave no sign of being discomfited by the interview. Further
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: interview of Odio, in an effort to resolve her claim
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: a visit by Oswald is not contemplated by Miami and
- 1:25:59Speaker 3: will be conducted only upon request from the Bureau or Dallas.
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: So in this book, Kennedy nipples, I mean Kennedy ripples.
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: Mary Ann Sullivan talks of visiting father McCann and Florida
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: like she just shows up one day and calls him,
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: I'm at the airport. You need to come get me,
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: and he's like, uh, I don't think so, and she's like, no,
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: you are gonna come get me. I don't have any
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: place to go. I'm stuck here. You need to come
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: get me. So anyway, they go to his apartment, some
- 1:26:38Speaker 3: things happen where he pleases her orally, very thoroughly. In
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: it is in the book I thought you would have that.
- 1:26:51Speaker 3: I pray kuoitus. He proceeds to uh beresiage him from
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: head to toe with lotion and suck on his toes
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: until he if you know what I'm saying, Joe, yes,
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: I do. And then he made the excuse that he
- 1:27:16Speaker 3: needed to go play tennis the next morning, so he
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: left his apartment. He left her in the apartment while
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: he went to play tennis, and she describes in the
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: book how his apartment is basically pretty much barren, like
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: no furniture, very few clothes, no pictures, no personal shit,
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: mattress on the ground. He had one. Uh. But then
- 1:27:49Speaker 3: she went in the closet and there was several bags
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: or briefcases or something in the closet, and when she
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: started to fiddle around in and was finding some documents,
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: including some very young pictures of Sylvia Odio, which really
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: pissed her off.
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: So young as in too young.
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: Young is in younger than twenty six when he met her. Okay,
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: so a teenage Sylvia Odio, if you will.
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: Right, which indicates a much longer relationship.
- 1:28:29Speaker 3: Possibly, or she just gave him some older pictures because
- 1:28:32Speaker 3: that's what she was about them. Yeah, I mean, it's
- 1:28:37Speaker 3: not like it's not like I could text you a
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: picture of my balls, Joe or you know, but maybe
- 1:28:43Speaker 3: I took a picture of my balls like five years
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: ago and sent it to you.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: You know, can you text me a picture of young
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: Sylvia Odio? Teenagers? I'm kidding, guys.
- 1:28:53Speaker 3: Easy Epstein, uh.
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: Of getting I just want to put that out.
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: There, what Askafuza?
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: Yes, I'm going to be at the Pearly Gates for
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: a few more years or decades.
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: Now, all right, let's get back to some document. Okay,
- 1:29:20Speaker 3: all right, here we go. All right. This one here
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: is from the HSCA period seventy six to be exact,
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: And this is the interview notes with Sylvi Odio when
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: they talk to her, right right, So it basically gives
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: her history, if you will, according to her, you know,
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: she starts off with you know how she figured that
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: it was Oswald and she passed out. She's been on
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: her mental and marital problems, mental strains, responsibility of caring
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: for her four children after her husband deserted her. The
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: next ding, she remembers watching television with her sister and
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: seeing Oswald and both recognizing him as one of the
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: men who had come to the apartment. We were just
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: so scared because we both recognized him immediately, you know.
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: Blah blah blah, blah blah. And her sister at the
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: time was fourteen, Okay, so her sister was very young.
- 1:30:22Speaker 3: Is this ser Rita or Rena Annie Annie, and the
- 1:30:26Speaker 3: one that supposedly saw Oswald as well?
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: Okay?
- 1:30:33Speaker 3: So she was interviewed by Hosty, which is interesting, Yeah,
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: because it was supposed to be Hypeman right right. And
- 1:30:46Speaker 3: what's also interesting is that, as we'll get to later,
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: possibly in part two, but father McCann would recall that
- 1:30:57Speaker 3: Hosty came to see him in New York Orleans and
- 1:31:00Speaker 3: interview him after he had moved there, which is interesting.
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: It's very interesting.
- 1:31:08Speaker 3: Again she still talks about not recognizing Lawrence Howard, Lauren Hall,
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: or William Seymour. They showed her pictures of him. She
- 1:31:16Speaker 3: recognized none of them, right. Pay attention to Corey Hughes.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: She says, we were standing and by my door for
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: fifteen minutes and the light was just coming down upon
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: their faces when I saw him on television. And this
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: guy had a special grin, a kind of funny smile,
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: kept smiling most of the time. He kept trying to
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: be pleasant, but the other guys did all.
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: The talking Golden Hour as they call it.
- 1:31:47Speaker 3: Right, Well, it's at night, okay, so it's dark outside,
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: all right, Little fourteen year old Annie's probably in the
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: living room, sitting on the couch watching TV, not really
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: paying much attention. Who's at the doorway. You can't tell
- 1:32:02Speaker 3: me that she paid that much attention and recognized Oswald
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: as soon as he saw him on TV. After the assassination,
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: she's likely just going along with her sister, and her
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: sister saying, oh my god, that's the guy who was
- 1:32:15Speaker 3: at the doorway that night, like two months ago. Don't
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: you remember, And she's like, oh, yeah, whatever you say, right,
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: I just don't believe that her sister would remember seeing
- 1:32:28Speaker 3: this person standing in the dark doorway, you know. And
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: she says she talked to him for fifteen minutes. I
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: doubt it was that long, you know, because at the time,
- 1:32:39Speaker 3: remember Sylvia Odio was trying to go out, she got
- 1:32:45Speaker 3: dressed to go out on the town. And you know
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: who wants to stand there and talk to these greasy
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: looking Mexicans who is trying to go out and drink on?
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: Get a freak on, you know what I mean, Like
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: she's gonna be like hurrying them off, you know, I mean,
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: it doesn't take that long to say I don't have
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: any money, get the fuck out of here, you know
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: what I mean? But whatever, So.
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: I have some of the later part of this document.
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: If you don't, I'm sure you do.
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: Oh I do?
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: It gets juicy? Yeah?
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: Yeah. So she asked how candid she could be with me,
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: and I said I wished she would be totally candid, right. So,
- 1:33:33Speaker 3: she said she hasn't told this to anyone except a
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: mister Martin Phillips, who came to talk to her about
- 1:33:38Speaker 3: putting her on Dan Rather CBS Assassinations Special TV show.
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: She refused to be on the show, but she did
- 1:33:45Speaker 3: talk to Phillips. She said she told part of this
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: story to Phillips but never mentioned it to anyone else.
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: Now here's where it gets juicy, she said, after Leebler,
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: that's Wesley Leebler of the Warrant Commission questioned her for
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: the second time that day, the first when started at
- 1:34:00Speaker 3: nine am, and the second one at six thirty pm.
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: He asked her out to dinner. Quote that surprised me,
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: but I was afraid and I went.
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: I remember this. He tried to hit it too.
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: We didn't go out alone. We went out with someone
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: who was supposed to be Marina Oswald's lawyer, whoa hello,
- 1:34:23Speaker 3: James Herbert Martin lawyer or James Herbert Martin or John
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: Martin Thorn or John Martin Thorn.
- 1:34:31Speaker 2: Which I think is probably more of the likely suspect.
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: And this is what April sixty four. Yeah, yeah, okay, yeah,
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: I would have probably her and James Herbert had their
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: falling out in February, so I'm guessing it would have
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: been John Martin Thorn. But that is speculation.
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: So how do you get Wesley Leebler and either John
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: Martin Thorn or James Herbert Martin out to dinner with
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: this chick? Sylvia? O yo. We went to the Sheraton
- 1:35:08Speaker 3: to eat dinner. I thought perhaps there was something behind it,
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: and there was a kind of double talk at the
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: table between the lawyer and him, like, Hey, we're gonna
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: really nail this thing later, aren't we. I wasn't sure
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: they wanted me to hear the conversation, or they wanted
- 1:35:22Speaker 3: to convince me of something like going up to a room,
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: or wanted me to volunteer something. Leebler kept threatening me
- 1:35:30Speaker 3: with a lot of detective test even though he knew
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: I was under tremendous stress at the time. But one
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: thing he said, and this has always bothered me. He
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: said to this other gentleman I don't remember his name again,
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: he said, well, you know, if we do find out
- 1:35:44Speaker 3: that this is a conspiracy, you know that we'll have
- 1:35:46Speaker 3: orders from Chief Justice Warren to cover this thing up.
- 1:35:50Speaker 3: I asked, Leebeler said, I asked. Leebeler said that she said, yes,
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: I I could swear on that. That's the time she
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: said she thought that maybe it was a bait for
- 1:36:00Speaker 3: her because she had the feeling that they were that
- 1:36:03Speaker 3: they thought she was hiding something more, that she was
- 1:36:07Speaker 3: involved with other keeping groups perhaps, or that she knew
- 1:36:10Speaker 3: more than she was saying That was the feeling that
- 1:36:13Speaker 3: I got by the time that they took me to dinner,
- 1:36:16Speaker 3: that maybe if I had a few drinks and the
- 1:36:17Speaker 3: conversation became very casual, I would go ahead and volunteer information.
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: He thought that I was hiding.
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: They're trying to get her drunk to put it in
- 1:36:27Speaker 2: her trunk.
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: She says, My god, I'm not that drunk. He had
- 1:36:33Speaker 3: a bloody Mary. But that made me angry, she said.
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: Not only that, he invited me to his room upstairs
- 1:36:42Speaker 3: to see some pictures. I did go. I went to
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: this room or his room. I wanted to see how
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: far a government investigator would go and what they were
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: trying to do to a witness. Of course, nothing happened,
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: because I was right in my right senses. He'd only
- 1:37:02Speaker 3: had one bloody mary. He showed me pictures. He made advances, yes,
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: but I told him he was crazy. Even mentioned that
- 1:37:09Speaker 3: they had seen my picture and that they had even
- 1:37:11Speaker 3: joked about it at the Warren Commission, saying like, what
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: a pretty girl you're going to see, Jim, and things
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: like that. Well, stop you there, James Herbert Martin, Jim.
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: Uh huh, So, I mean we talked about Jim's kind
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: of breakup from Marina in February, but he might not
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: have known Odio. Maybe this was kind of a second attempt.
- 1:37:35Speaker 3: Because listen, I mean, he's with Wesley Leebler. Wesley Leber
- 1:37:42Speaker 3: had to invite him.
- 1:37:44Speaker 2: James Sherber. Martin wasn't a bad looking guy and no homo,
- 1:37:48Speaker 2: but he wasn't in nineteen sixty four, you know what
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: I mean. And he's already had a track record of
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: kind of honey trapping marine.
- 1:38:00Speaker 3: And if that was his gig and the work commission
- 1:38:04Speaker 3: knew it, then he that's the guy you invite, right right?
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: Very interesting.
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I just wanted to stop you there, sir. Continue, Yeah, sorry,
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: I had.
- 1:38:16Speaker 3: To the fellow who Leblir identified as Marina Oswald's attorney. Now,
- 1:38:20Speaker 3: she's probably getting this mixed up, like not not his
- 1:38:24Speaker 3: attorney but her his uh or her? Yeah, I probably
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: thought it was his attorney, right, he's doing attorney ship, right,
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: he's you know, he's controlling.
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: And she's with another attorney to be fair. Yeah, So
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: I mean you could understand why she would have thought
- 1:38:46Speaker 2: that in a sense. Right again, I'm speculating here.
- 1:38:51Speaker 3: So the fellow who Leeblair, identified as Marina Oswald's attorney,
- 1:38:54Speaker 3: had not been at her question, but they picked him
- 1:38:56Speaker 3: up on the way to dinner. He left after dinner
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: and did not go up to lebel room with him.
- 1:39:01Speaker 3: Showed her all the photographs I had with me, and
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: she could identify only Oswald and any of them except
- 1:39:07Speaker 3: for one photo, which I believe was taking of individuals
- 1:39:10Speaker 3: coming out of the courtroom following New Orleans concerning the
- 1:39:13Speaker 3: Brine Oswald fracas. She identified the man in the background
- 1:39:16Speaker 3: as her uncle and said she didn't know her uncle
- 1:39:18Speaker 3: was involved with Brignia. Oh shit, I told her that
- 1:39:22Speaker 3: according to an FBI report, her uncle Quitart admitted to
- 1:39:26Speaker 3: being at that court hearing. She said her uncle never
- 1:39:29Speaker 3: mentioned his involvement with Brignier, and then she knew he
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: was a fierce anti communist, fierce She herself, she earlier said,
- 1:39:37Speaker 3: was associated with more liberal element of Manolo Raised party
- 1:39:40Speaker 3: and had always been a Kennedy fan. Said she's always
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: been wondering who the other two men who came with
- 1:39:46Speaker 3: Oswald were, and blah blah blah blah blah.
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: M this is Joshua, this is Banana's that is true. Yeah,
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: uh and Scott with maybe the common of the night
- 1:40:03Speaker 2: so far they put the ass in assassination.
- 1:40:06Speaker 3: Apparently this Manolo Ray Dude was in charge of the
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: Jira movement, right, which is the one that she was
- 1:40:14Speaker 3: interested in, which is allegedly who the group was. These
- 1:40:17Speaker 3: guys came to visitor uh right, mm hm. The human
- 1:40:22Speaker 3: community in Dallas wasn't that large, but they and that
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: they all lived pretty much in the same section of
- 1:40:28Speaker 3: town called Little Havana if you will, and.
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: Yes this I mean read the paragraph above. This reminded
- 1:40:41Speaker 2: me of Johnny Martin who again comes to play. And
- 1:40:46Speaker 2: it just kind of showcases how much the Odio maybe
- 1:40:51Speaker 2: sisters were kind of uh doing preyed upon. I don't
- 1:40:57Speaker 2: know what the we're is, but you know the hot, rich,
- 1:41:05Speaker 2: big booty Latinos.
- 1:41:07Speaker 3: For the Yeah, Wasita to bring her clothes there to
- 1:41:10Speaker 3: his laundry mat and he wouldn't charge her. And then
- 1:41:14Speaker 3: Sterta brought him around to our house and we started
- 1:41:16Speaker 3: talking about a lot.
- 1:41:17Speaker 2: Of things, no calls necessary.
- 1:41:20Speaker 3: He was very clever and uh we were very young,
- 1:41:25Speaker 3: and soon he was telling us he could get arms
- 1:41:27Speaker 3: for our movement. I got in contact with Eugenio narrows.
- 1:41:32Speaker 3: He told Manolo Ray that he was coming to Dallas
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: to meet Martin. Martin she always, she says, always seemed
- 1:41:38Speaker 3: to be broke, yet he always had something blacked out.
- 1:41:44Speaker 3: Then we get to Lucill O'Connell. She was a Protestant
- 1:41:48Speaker 3: who again she was a Quaker who got involved. Now
- 1:41:51Speaker 3: she was a Protestant who got involved in the Catholic
- 1:41:53Speaker 3: Welfare Bureau. She came on very strong with Sylvia as
- 1:41:56Speaker 3: soon as she arrived in Dallas, and in fact had
- 1:41:58Speaker 3: sponsored her trip Puerto Rico, which means Canel paid for it.
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: Right, and again, like you mentioned very early in this episode,
- 1:42:07Speaker 2: gives you kind of ruth vibes. Right.
- 1:42:10Speaker 3: Yeah, she struck me as the most fantastic, the most
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: kind and considerate person I ever met, said Sylvia. She
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: was just so generous and I had a tremendous admiration
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: for her. Right. She was very involved with a lot
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: of different groups. She was very intense about the John
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: Birch Society. She was also involved with the Rosicrucians and
- 1:42:32Speaker 3: also with the Mental Health Association in Dallas. Mm hmmm, which,
- 1:42:36Speaker 3: of course k Ultra.
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: Right, yes, and of course would apply to Sylvia and
- 1:42:43Speaker 2: to weave back to how we started this episode. Maybe
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: they identified her as someone that could be possibly manipulated, right, yeah,
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: not out of the Roman possibility.
- 1:42:56Speaker 3: She was a very wealthy woman married to a wealthy man,
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: but divorced him. Hello Ruth Payne and is now living
- 1:43:03Speaker 3: in a Long Island name now the Seal Light and
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: Psiosid Long Island. Her husband, Canel had a large CPA
- 1:43:13Speaker 3: firm in Dallas, Joe Borelli Canal JB. Canell.
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: She wanted to give me acid and take advantage of me.
- 1:43:24Speaker 2: I don't know if I didn't reject.
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: Canel had even gotten her psychiatrist, doctor Einsbruck, who later
- 1:43:32Speaker 3: Philadelphia Naval Hospital. She later visited him there and he
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: was wearing a uniform. So this doctor Einsbruck guy was
- 1:43:44Speaker 3: Sylvie Yo's psychiatryiatrist, but yet he worked for military for
- 1:43:50Speaker 3: the military.
- 1:43:52Speaker 2: Okay, you can't make this up, guys, and we're not
- 1:43:56Speaker 2: making it up.
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: No, you can't make this up.
- 1:44:01Speaker 2: We wish we had the imagination to do so, but
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: we don't.
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: Then came to the Then came this father McCann. Fellow
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: and I became very close friends, and he was going
- 1:44:12Speaker 3: through his own crisis in his life. Yes he was, Uh,
- 1:44:18Speaker 3: Lucille used him, managed him, and handled him.
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: Yes, Lucille.
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: Yeah, and hello bitch, likely you as well, right mm hm,
- 1:44:33Speaker 3: Lucille tried to get us together and then tried to
- 1:44:36Speaker 3: get us apart, and then got jealous of our relationship.
- 1:44:39Speaker 3: In the meantime. People are very complex. She was very
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: moody and enjoyed playing with our lives. This is insaneness.
- 1:44:52Speaker 2: It's there's so many different, uh kind of objectives going
- 1:44:59Speaker 2: on here. I don't even know what to make of it. Really,
- 1:45:03Speaker 2: I just know it's insanity. And I want to just
- 1:45:07Speaker 2: highlight one comment.
- 1:45:08Speaker 3: Rob.
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: So you're saying Martin was a honey trap, that'd be
- 1:45:15Speaker 2: Wan Martin. I don't know. He could have been like
- 1:45:20Speaker 2: looking for funds or trying to sell arms, or trying
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: to make a quick book. I mean, I'm sure hitting
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: one of those Martin.
- 1:45:29Speaker 3: I think you said honeytrapp refriend to Jim Martin.
- 1:45:32Speaker 2: Oh oh okay, yeah, I'm talking about Johnny Juan Martin
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: in terms of the Odio sisters, I think that's what
- 1:45:42Speaker 2: she's talking about. But I do think James or Martin
- 1:45:45Speaker 2: was honeytrap. Yes, but It's impossible to kind of decipher
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: his his objectives, right, who knows selling arms, making a
- 1:45:58Speaker 2: quick buck, getting on for jury, or whatever things he
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: wanted to get done. It's really hard to figure out.
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: So I just wanted to talk about that really quickly.
- 1:46:11Speaker 2: But yes, let's continue the insidity, sir.
- 1:46:15Speaker 3: All right, now we're talking to about missus Canell again.
- 1:46:18Speaker 3: I asked her about Canell's report to the FBI regarding
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: General Walker and Colonel Caster. Now we got General Walker
- 1:46:25Speaker 3: in the mix again. Check that box off. Whenever she
- 1:46:30Speaker 3: wanted to find out information, she would take me out
- 1:46:32Speaker 3: to lunch. So it kind of sounds like now in
- 1:46:35Speaker 3: the seventies, Odio is realizing that this Canal chick was
- 1:46:42Speaker 3: using her and handling her. She says, I wasn't aware
- 1:46:45Speaker 3: at the time she was using me too, right. I
- 1:46:49Speaker 3: knew she was involved with key people in Dallas, and
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: she was continually getting phone calls where she would lock
- 1:46:54Speaker 3: herself in her library when she answered them. She was
- 1:46:57Speaker 3: always mysterious and always careful not to mention information, but
- 1:47:01Speaker 3: she always asked. She did mention General Walt.
- 1:47:05Speaker 2: We talked about well, checking another box there, yeap after
- 1:47:09Speaker 2: that sentence, because that is.
- 1:47:11Speaker 3: I know she was involved with his movement and with
- 1:47:14Speaker 3: the John Birch Society. I think that's why she was
- 1:47:16Speaker 3: involved with the Cubans, because we were very usable people, inexpendable.
- 1:47:21Speaker 3: Did she ever mention conservatives of the USA? Yes, she did,
- 1:47:27Speaker 3: you know it just it's wild man, look right here.
- 1:47:34Speaker 3: Canel was not only involved with the Mental Health Association
- 1:47:37Speaker 3: but very interested in psychology, mind control, and brainwashing. She
- 1:47:41Speaker 3: had a lot of books on the subject.
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: And it's just.
- 1:47:43Speaker 2: From audio the fuck yeah yeah, yeah, just reminding the audience.
- 1:47:48Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, he's the female David Ferry. Yeah.
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: I mean, granted, she's you know, not in her early
- 1:47:56Speaker 2: twenties anymore by the HC time. I think she kind
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: of realized what was going on here. Eventually might have
- 1:48:03Speaker 2: tip her sometime, but I think she realized it.
- 1:48:06Speaker 3: Yeah, or she's paranoid skids her friend or that. But
- 1:48:12Speaker 3: you know, again, this is the summary report. But originally
- 1:48:21Speaker 3: the FBI found out about Sylvia Odio from missus Canal. Right,
- 1:48:29Speaker 3: like Sylvia didn't come out with this shit. Canell told
- 1:48:33Speaker 3: the FBI that they needed to go talk to her.
- 1:48:37Speaker 3: M right, yeah, interesting.
- 1:48:41Speaker 2: It's very weird, man, very weird.
- 1:48:47Speaker 3: The original FBI interview with Kneal mentions nothing about the
- 1:48:51Speaker 3: Oswald visit. Yet she's the one that tipped them off
- 1:48:53Speaker 3: to go talk to Odeo, So they intentionally omitted this
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: out of her FBI interview, which is a little sus right.
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:49:07Speaker 3: Odio denied that she told Cannell she had seen Oswald speak,
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: and in fact had never seen nor heard of Oswald
- 1:49:15Speaker 3: prior to his visit to her apartment. Odio told us
- 1:49:21Speaker 3: that she guessed Canal reported her to the FBI because
- 1:49:23Speaker 3: she'd been angry with her for breaking off very close relationship.
- 1:49:27Speaker 2: She was jealous.
- 1:49:29Speaker 3: Yep, she wanted that carpet.
- 1:49:32Speaker 5: Yep, Hello Ruth, We're so bad, sorry guys.
- 1:49:39Speaker 3: And again Canell was very intense about the John Birch
- 1:49:42Speaker 3: Society and that she was involved with General Walker. H
- 1:49:47Speaker 3: m hmmm, and this is uh. I specifically asked Canal
- 1:49:55Speaker 3: whether she told the FBI about her friend and about
- 1:49:59Speaker 3: Jack Ruby's visit to the law office to get power
- 1:50:02Speaker 3: of attorney drawn for his sister. Well, did you say Ruby? Yeah, yeah, interesting, Yeah,
- 1:50:17Speaker 3: she said yes, the FBI has that information. I gave
- 1:50:20Speaker 3: it to them at the interview. She is puzzled why
- 1:50:22Speaker 3: it never made it into the Warren report shock her.
- 1:50:27Speaker 3: I was rather surprised that they didn't seem fit to
- 1:50:29Speaker 3: mention it myself, because I thought it was rather a
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: pertinent information. Ruby had never had power of attorney drawn
- 1:50:34Speaker 3: for his sister before. Again, this is Canell's husband that
- 1:50:40Speaker 3: Jack Ruby went to see allegedly have power of attorney
- 1:50:46Speaker 3: drawn up over Eva. Interesting it has been out as
- 1:50:53Speaker 3: I think Joshua Son, Yeah, Canel's said. It really surprised
- 1:51:01Speaker 3: me that Sylvia came up with the story about Oswald
- 1:51:05Speaker 3: because the only political meeting I knew she ever attended
- 1:51:07Speaker 3: to decide from her Cuban underground work was one where
- 1:51:10Speaker 3: General Walker spoke, and that seemed to be the opposite
- 1:51:13Speaker 3: of Oswald politics. So now Canel is saying that Sylvia
- 1:51:18Speaker 3: Odio went to see General Walker speak. Now, who else
- 1:51:26Speaker 3: in early October sixty three went to see General Walker speak.
- 1:51:33Speaker 2: In early nineteen sixty three.
- 1:51:38Speaker 3: Early October.
- 1:51:39Speaker 2: Oh, that would be Michael Pain.
- 1:51:42Speaker 3: Yeah, and who was with him there?
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: You go?
- 1:51:47Speaker 3: Do we have Odio and the Pines and Oswald at
- 1:51:51Speaker 3: this General Walker speech all together?
- 1:51:55Speaker 2: That would be funky.
- 1:51:58Speaker 3: And then of course remember April tenth, allegedly Oswald shot
- 1:52:03Speaker 3: at him and allegedly so Yoda is wandering around his
- 1:52:07Speaker 3: fuck neighborhood all.
- 1:52:09Speaker 2: Right, day the walker shooting, of course, the Wednesday.
- 1:52:12Speaker 3: Mountain butterflies or whatever the fuck she was doing.
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: Right, are there any butterflies at night?
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: Hey? You never know, You never know, but I mean it,
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: just the story just keeps getting weirder and weirder and weirder,
- 1:52:35Speaker 3: and Jack Ruby's getting brought into all this shit. Next
- 1:52:39Speaker 3: thing I know, here comes a guy named Jack Ruby
- 1:52:42Speaker 3: who owns a semi sleazy night club which I finally visited.
- 1:52:45Speaker 3: So now she visited it, Yeah, after much persuasion on
- 1:52:51Speaker 3: his part one evening, and it was pretty sleazy. But
- 1:52:54Speaker 3: Jack was a character out of Ring Lardner who spoke
- 1:52:57Speaker 3: in broken sentences and was hard to figure out what
- 1:52:59Speaker 3: he was talking about. But I tried to help him
- 1:53:01Speaker 3: with his taxes.
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: Do you know what Ring Lardner is?
- 1:53:05Speaker 3: I don't some old reference to some yeah old movie. Yeah,
- 1:53:12Speaker 3: but yeah, man, the ship's nuts. It's crazy. It's not
- 1:53:19Speaker 3: likely he would have been in my appointment book because
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: almost never did I have what you would call an
- 1:53:23Speaker 3: appointment with Jack. He just showed up, and he always
- 1:53:26Speaker 3: paid cash. I don't believe I ever sent him a bill.
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: His method of bonus in those days was to give
- 1:53:31Speaker 3: me those British razor blades, which here that was typical
- 1:53:36Speaker 3: of him British they shaved very close on the ballsack
- 1:53:42Speaker 3: and would not Nick.
- 1:53:45Speaker 2: Was this before waxing happened?
- 1:53:47Speaker 3: Apparently? So okay, sorry, British razor blades and a little
- 1:53:52Speaker 3: baby old those wonders for your ballsack.
- 1:53:55Speaker 2: Well, we're talking about the audio strength, Joshua.
- 1:54:00Speaker 3: Literally, no, we're not talking about Icesbruck.
- 1:54:04Speaker 2: Oh Icebruck. Yeah, we might say that for part two.
- 1:54:08Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a lot of she was her.
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: Handle or, but also dabbled in psychotherapy, so that's why. Yeah.
- 1:54:19Speaker 2: But yeah, man, this is not this whole situation with
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: the audio thing. I don't know what to make of it, bro,
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: I really don't, dude.
- 1:54:30Speaker 3: It is a crazy effing story, you know, and it's
- 1:54:40Speaker 3: a lot of it is. I mean, it's a lot.
- 1:54:48Speaker 3: There's so much interspersion here with all these characters, and
- 1:54:53Speaker 3: it's like, what in the hell is going on here? Right? Yeah,
- 1:55:00Speaker 3: let's get to Oh, sorry, Sylvia Odio's psychiatrist. Since you
- 1:55:14Speaker 3: wanted it so badly, you asked and you shall receive.
- 1:55:22Speaker 3: All right. So this is an interview with Burton Einsbruck
- 1:55:28Speaker 3: on Monday, April thirteenth, nineteen and sixty four.
- 1:55:31Speaker 2: And Rob, before you start, I have an interview here
- 1:55:36Speaker 2: and it's like eight pages on my power point of
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: interview with missus Conroll on the same day, April sixteenth,
- 1:55:48Speaker 2: nineteen sixty four. And I think maybe we'll save that
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: for remembers only because we're almost two hours in, but
- 1:55:54Speaker 2: I'll let you continue. But interesting that it's the same day. Yeah,
- 1:55:59Speaker 2: and this was by Burt Griffin, a lawyer for the
- 1:56:04Speaker 2: Warrant Commission.
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: So right, all right, secret Service as William Patterson and
- 1:56:09Speaker 3: I look with doctor Einsbruck at Parkland Hospital where he
- 1:56:14Speaker 3: fucking worked. Hey, check that box off. So Einsbruck worked
- 1:56:21Speaker 3: at Parkland.
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:56:22Speaker 3: By the way, Father McCann was found at Parkland Hospital
- 1:56:27Speaker 3: gorded out of his brain a week before the assassination. Right. So,
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: doctor Einsbruck, as psychiatrist, stated that he treated miss Odio
- 1:56:37Speaker 3: since she was found counting butterflies around General Walker's house
- 1:56:42Speaker 3: in April sixty three, and then he saw her on
- 1:56:45Speaker 3: the average of once a week from the beginning of
- 1:56:47Speaker 3: that period until the president was assassinated. He first indicated
- 1:56:51Speaker 3: to us that the rumors about miss Odio's love affairs
- 1:56:53Speaker 3: were false. Later, however, he did state the story we
- 1:56:57Speaker 3: had heard about her affair with the Puerto Rican law
- 1:56:59Speaker 3: for preface Professor was true.
- 1:57:02Speaker 2: Mm hmm, yeah, that is what Yeah, that is what
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: is alleged.
- 1:57:08Speaker 3: He also stated miss Odio did date Leonard Marcus, although
- 1:57:12Speaker 3: he did not think the affair was as great as
- 1:57:14Speaker 3: missus Canel indicated to us. It should be pointed out
- 1:57:17Speaker 3: that Canell also believed that Odio is exaggerating her affair
- 1:57:20Speaker 3: with mister Marcus. Ironspruck further stated he did not believe
- 1:57:24Speaker 3: that the affair with father McCann was as serious as
- 1:57:27Speaker 3: we were led to believe by miss Cannell. We did
- 1:57:29Speaker 3: not present on this matter. However, you know, of course,
- 1:57:32Speaker 3: a defrocked priest is not going to admit to banging
- 1:57:38Speaker 3: a young latina. Okay, I mean, it wasn't like he
- 1:57:42Speaker 3: got caught with her, right. Ironsbruck described Odio as coming
- 1:57:51Speaker 3: from a very high social position in Cuba. He had
- 1:57:54Speaker 3: been educated in Philadelphia or she had been educated in
- 1:57:59Speaker 3: Philipdelphia for five years apparently, and that she had written
- 1:58:04Speaker 3: some stories that had been published in Latin American journals,
- 1:58:07Speaker 3: and that she writes poetry. He described her as a beautiful, brilliant,
- 1:58:11Speaker 3: well spoken, charming woman. Doctor Ironspruck confirmed that the stories
- 1:58:15Speaker 3: of Canal had given us concerning the anti castor activities
- 1:58:18Speaker 3: of Odio's father. He stated that Odio's father had organized
- 1:58:21Speaker 3: an anti Castro group while in prison. Doctor iron Sprung
- 1:58:26Speaker 3: further stated that miss Odio has two brothers, two sisters,
- 1:58:28Speaker 3: and four children with her in Dallas. She also has
- 1:58:32Speaker 3: a brother, Cesar Odio, in Miami. Miss Odio's ex husband,
- 1:58:35Speaker 3: Guillermo Jima, is believed to be living in Ponce Puerto Rico.
- 1:58:40Speaker 3: In describing Odio's relationship with Dallas Cubans, Einsbruck stated, she
- 1:58:44Speaker 3: never really was part of the Cuban community, but a
- 1:58:46Speaker 3: real place was at the very top of the social
- 1:58:48Speaker 3: latter among American Dallas and socialites. Now this is a giant, uh, well,
- 1:58:56Speaker 3: it's a giant dichotomy between the fact that she was
- 1:59:00Speaker 3: so broke right in nineteen sixty three and barely scraping
- 1:59:06Speaker 3: by and it was you know, now they're calling her
- 1:59:10Speaker 3: one of a top in the top social ladder among
- 1:59:14Speaker 3: Dallas socialites. Right, what the hell doesn't line up? Doesn't
- 1:59:20Speaker 3: line up? He confirmed with mimister Canal's statement to missus
- 1:59:25Speaker 3: Odio had worked for a while and even Marcus. Oh,
- 1:59:27Speaker 3: by the way, when we're talking about mister Marcus before,
- 1:59:31Speaker 3: a guy by the name of Leonard Marcus as the founder, Yeah,
- 1:59:35Speaker 3: founder of Nemon Marcus.
- 1:59:38Speaker 2: Not the littlest store you've ever heard of?
- 1:59:41Speaker 3: Yeah, you may have heard of it, oh man man.
- 1:59:48Speaker 3: He stated that her tendency to exaggerates an emotional type
- 1:59:51Speaker 3: characteristic of many Latin American people, being one of a
- 1:59:54Speaker 3: degree rather than in fact. He stated that Odio is
- 1:59:56Speaker 3: friendly with two Cuban psychiatrists. That's a lot of psychiatrists
- 2:00:00Speaker 3: to be friendly with. He said that in general, Cuban
- 2:00:04Speaker 3: activities in Dallas center around the church, and he did
- 2:00:07Speaker 3: not describe the extent of Odio's participation. Well, we know
- 2:00:11Speaker 3: she participated it in the priesthood for sure. Eroinnsbruck stated
- 2:00:16Speaker 3: that he had great faith in miss Odio's story of
- 2:00:18Speaker 3: having met Lee Harvey Oswald, so he believes her. Okay.
- 2:00:23Speaker 2: Uh.
- 2:00:24Speaker 3: He stated that in the course of psychotherapy, I mean
- 2:00:26Speaker 3: so much for doctor patient privilege. Miss Odio told him
- 2:00:29Speaker 3: that she had seen Oswald at more than one anti
- 2:00:32Speaker 3: Castro Cuban meeting. One of these meetings was at her house, apparently,
- 2:00:36Speaker 3: he believed, which is crazy. And miss Odio's sister also
- 2:00:39Speaker 3: saw Oswald at the house Allegedly. Ironsbruck says that Odio
- 2:00:43Speaker 3: reported to him that Oswald made inflammatory comments about Cuba.
- 2:00:47Speaker 3: The term inflammatory said and is Ironsbrucks, and he cannot
- 2:00:51Speaker 3: clearly indicate what it was that Oswald has said. I
- 2:00:57Speaker 3: asked doctor Eroinsbruck about the blackout that she had on
- 2:01:00Speaker 3: November twenty second. He stated that on occasion he did
- 2:01:03Speaker 3: not trusts or he did not treat miss Odio. She
- 2:01:07Speaker 3: was handled by a general practitioner, doctor Lewis Sleepack of Irving, Texas.
- 2:01:13Speaker 3: Hum Doctor Sleepack was a physician for the company at
- 2:01:16Speaker 3: which miss Odio is an employee. I guess the mysterious
- 2:01:19Speaker 3: chemical company.
- 2:01:20Speaker 2: Joe Right, where she was the secretary.
- 2:01:22Speaker 3: Yeah. Doctor Einsbark did not know whether or not Oswald's
- 2:01:26Speaker 3: capture was the precipitating factor in the blackout. I asked
- 2:01:30Speaker 3: Eronsparks if he believed that miss Odio would give information
- 2:01:33Speaker 3: which would be harmful to her Cuban friends, and he
- 2:01:35Speaker 3: stated that he did not right, so she would not
- 2:01:40Speaker 3: write out other Cubans. He did not believe that she
- 2:01:43Speaker 3: would write out other Cubans.
- 2:01:45Speaker 2: Wait, I asked doctor Einsbrook, if you believed that miss
- 2:01:49Speaker 2: Odio would give information harm from Okay, yes, so, yes,
- 2:01:54Speaker 2: it's consistent in terms of not wanting to get the
- 2:01:56Speaker 2: Cuban exiles movement involved to Fu.
- 2:02:01Speaker 3: Yeah, and pursuing the question of Odio's possible reluctance to
- 2:02:04Speaker 3: give information that would hurt her Cuban friends. I asked
- 2:02:06Speaker 3: Einsbruck why it was that Odio might have told Connell
- 2:02:10Speaker 3: about her knowledge of Oswald. He stated that, well, Connell
- 2:02:14Speaker 3: at the time was Odio's closest friend in Dallas. He
- 2:02:17Speaker 3: stated in however, the relationship had begun to cool at
- 2:02:19Speaker 3: the time, and he stated that Sylvia Odio had slept
- 2:02:22Speaker 3: at the Canal house on more than one occasion.
- 2:02:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what we call a problem.
- 2:02:34Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, that's a problem. There's a lot of jealousy
- 2:02:41Speaker 3: between Odio and Canal. Wonder why. He said that it
- 2:02:46Speaker 3: was his understanding that Canal had a few affairs of
- 2:02:48Speaker 3: her own he's pretty much coming out and saying that
- 2:02:52Speaker 3: they were Scissor sisters. If you know what I'm saying, Yes, I.
- 2:02:57Speaker 2: Getting that impression.
- 2:02:59Speaker 3: Yeah, he reiterated Miss Adios at the very top of
- 2:03:03Speaker 3: the Dallas social ladder again despite being fucking broke, broker
- 2:03:07Speaker 3: than a joker. He emphasized this by stating Odio's closest
- 2:03:10Speaker 3: friends in Dallas. Now where the John Rogers family. Oh,
- 2:03:13Speaker 3: who are they? Well, they own Texas Instruments, so oh
- 2:03:19Speaker 3: yeah wow.
- 2:03:21Speaker 2: And by the way, you know, I just thought of this.
- 2:03:24Speaker 2: You know, Odio came from a wealthy family, right, granted
- 2:03:29Speaker 2: her parents were imprisoned at the time. You could imagine
- 2:03:34Speaker 2: a situation where she's kind of hanging out with these socialites,
- 2:03:42Speaker 2: being as cute as.
- 2:03:43Speaker 3: She was, even if she didn't have any money.
- 2:03:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but you don't really need money. You just need
- 2:03:50Speaker 2: the name and you need you know what I mean that.
- 2:03:53Speaker 7: That's what I kind of saying, play the part. You
- 2:03:55Speaker 7: gotta look the part. You gotta have nice clothes, nice ride,
- 2:03:59Speaker 7: you know, nice ship. Well you just show up looking
- 2:04:03Speaker 7: like a bubbo, you know what I mean?
- 2:04:04Speaker 3: Like, who do we know that?
- 2:04:05Speaker 2: How do we know that she didn't have those nice clothes.
- 2:04:09Speaker 2: I mean, granted, I know she had financial issues, but
- 2:04:13Speaker 2: if she came from that wealthy background, she would have
- 2:04:17Speaker 2: known how to play the party. It's my point. I
- 2:04:21Speaker 2: don't know again.
- 2:04:23Speaker 3: Or she bought the ship for right, Yeah.
- 2:04:27Speaker 2: That's that's also true too, or Lentter ship.
- 2:04:31Speaker 3: Yeah. Apparently after her hospitalization at Parkland after the Kennedy assassination,
- 2:04:37Speaker 3: she went to go stay with the Rogers family that
- 2:04:40Speaker 3: owned Texas Instruments. That's nice. That's not sus at all,
- 2:04:46Speaker 3: is it.
- 2:04:47Speaker 2: Now? Who else in the assassination Milieu worked at Texas Instruments.
- 2:04:53Speaker 2: There's one I can't remember.
- 2:04:57Speaker 3: Wow, h fuck ed Hoffman? Ed Hoffman, the deaf mute guy.
- 2:05:09Speaker 2: Did he work at Texas?
- 2:05:10Speaker 3: And Truman? He did? Oh? Okay.
- 2:05:13Speaker 2: I wasn't like thinking of someone of his ilk no
- 2:05:16Speaker 2: offense to ed Hoffman, But I thought I thought, no offense.
- 2:05:21Speaker 2: I thought there was someone else. Maybe I'm like thinking
- 2:05:24Speaker 2: of another Texas BSD type of company.
- 2:05:30Speaker 3: But here's the last thing I wanted to hit here.
- 2:05:34Speaker 3: Miss Knell was interviewed by Secret Service agent Wayne Patterson.
- 2:05:38Speaker 3: She had previously been interviewed by agents of the FBI
- 2:05:41Speaker 3: on November twenty ninth. Miss Cannell missus Kanell is an
- 2:05:45Speaker 3: extremely joe, extremely attractive, well dressed, educated, well mannered woman
- 2:05:52Speaker 3: in her late forties, early fifties.
- 2:05:57Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 2:05:58Speaker 3: Her husband is a CPA and their home is in
- 2:06:00Speaker 3: an upper middle class area. We questioned her in detail
- 2:06:04Speaker 3: about the background and reliability of Silviodio. She said Odio
- 2:06:09Speaker 3: had come to Dallas from Puerto Rico in April or
- 2:06:11Speaker 3: March of sixty three.
- 2:06:14Speaker 2: Do you say November twenty ninth. What the first interview
- 2:06:24Speaker 2: with her?
- 2:06:24Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:06:25Speaker 2: Okay, I just wrote it down. Sorry.
- 2:06:29Speaker 3: It is missus Cannell's understanding that Silviodi's father was an
- 2:06:32Speaker 3: anti Baptista businessman who would temporarily exiled himself from Cuba.
- 2:06:37Speaker 3: His primary business seemed to be in the transportation industry,
- 2:06:39Speaker 3: although missus Canel would not elaborate. Odio was an early
- 2:06:43Speaker 3: supporter of Castro, and Canel states that mister Odio entertained
- 2:06:48Speaker 3: Castro and more than one occasion in his home. Apparently,
- 2:06:51Speaker 3: when mister Odio realized that Castro was a Communist, he
- 2:06:53Speaker 3: deserted Castro and began to organize opposition to him in Cuba. Yeah,
- 2:06:57Speaker 3: so I don't think Amador Odio was a communist. It does.
- 2:07:04Speaker 2: It doesn't seem like it, although you know Castro kind
- 2:07:07Speaker 2: of turned communist you know later, right in fifty nine
- 2:07:14Speaker 2: or sixty or whatever it was.
- 2:07:16Speaker 3: Yeah, he may have been friends with I mean, he
- 2:07:17Speaker 3: says he was friends with Castro before he turned communists, right.
- 2:07:23Speaker 2: And and sought the protection of the USSR.
- 2:07:27Speaker 3: And then they put him in his old lady in prison.
- 2:07:29Speaker 3: All of his children, how her, were able to escape
- 2:07:31Speaker 3: to Puerto Rico or to the United States. Missuskanell, who
- 2:07:35Speaker 3: was an Episcopalian, came to know Silvia Odio through the
- 2:07:39Speaker 3: Catholic Human Relief Committee of Dallas. Canell apparently became interested
- 2:07:45Speaker 3: in the work of this committee after she returned from
- 2:07:47Speaker 3: a trip to Spain in early sixty three or late
- 2:07:49Speaker 3: sixty two. Interesting because missus Canell had a great interest
- 2:07:54Speaker 3: in mental health and Sylvia was having psychiatric difficulties. Canell
- 2:07:59Speaker 3: formed Spain. Yeah, okay, so she's traveling abroad, right, another box,
- 2:08:06Speaker 3: another box. Yes, Missus Canell formed a particularly a close
- 2:08:10Speaker 3: attachment to miss Odio. Apparently, Canell was at least partially
- 2:08:14Speaker 3: instrumental in Oudio's consulting a psychiatrist and obtaining a psychiatric
- 2:08:19Speaker 3: help at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Mister Cannell stated
- 2:08:24Speaker 3: that Sylvia was suffering from a mental disease known as
- 2:08:27Speaker 3: grand hysteria. Missus Kanell stated that grand hysteria is common
- 2:08:33Speaker 3: among European women, but is rather rare among Americans. It
- 2:08:37Speaker 3: is for that reason that the Southern Methodist staffed at
- 2:08:40Speaker 3: Parkland took a particular interest in miss Odio. Grand hysteria,
- 2:08:47Speaker 3: according to him, or according to Missus Canel, is a
- 2:08:51Speaker 3: condition characterized by blackouts and fainting spells, and other forms
- 2:08:54Speaker 3: of unconsciousness, which might last for a period of hours.
- 2:09:00Speaker 3: Cannell stated that in Sylvia's case, apparently the principal cause
- 2:09:03Speaker 3: of this difficulty stemmed from her relationships with men. Canell
- 2:09:07Speaker 3: described Miss Odio as attractive, highly intelligent, and gifted who
- 2:09:12Speaker 3: had a series of affairs. Miss Odio is twenty six
- 2:09:15Speaker 3: years old and divorced. Cannell stated Odio had an affair
- 2:09:19Speaker 3: with a man in Puerto Rico. As a result of
- 2:09:21Speaker 3: this affair, the law professor apparently lost his job and
- 2:09:24Speaker 3: is now working in DC. Odio also became involved with
- 2:09:29Speaker 3: the Catholic Rocks Yea and Dallas, who had been working
- 2:09:34Speaker 3: with the Cuban refugees. That's McCann partly because of his
- 2:09:38Speaker 3: relationship with miss Odio and partly from his own choice.
- 2:09:40Speaker 3: McCann is no longer a member of the clergy. Cannell
- 2:09:44Speaker 3: also stated that miss Odio was amorously involved with Leonard Marcus,
- 2:09:48Speaker 3: a member of the Nieman Marcus clan. Connell stated that
- 2:09:52Speaker 3: she believed that Sylvia was inclined to exaggerate many of
- 2:09:55Speaker 3: her amorous relationships and she had a great need for recognition.
- 2:10:00Speaker 3: Mm hmmm. However, missus Canell was pro Kennedy and a
- 2:10:05Speaker 3: recognized liberal in the community, despite her being buddy buddy
- 2:10:12Speaker 3: with General Walker, which.
- 2:10:14Speaker 2: Yeah, far right right that man, I don't believe that.
- 2:10:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't believe. Of course she's gonna say I
- 2:10:21Speaker 3: was pro Kennedy. Yeah, she throws Audio under the bus.
- 2:10:26Speaker 3: She says Canal believed that miss Odio soft pedal her
- 2:10:30Speaker 3: anti Kennedy feelings in her presence, So now she's trying
- 2:10:35Speaker 3: to say that Oudio had had anti Kennedy feelings, which
- 2:10:39Speaker 3: who knows.
- 2:10:40Speaker 2: I mean, I believe that, but being part of Jurrey,
- 2:10:44Speaker 2: But that doesn't seem out of the world possibilities.
- 2:10:48Speaker 3: Tylvia wasn't part of Juray's something.
- 2:10:51Speaker 2: I'm saying like family connections to jury.
- 2:10:55Speaker 3: Right, but they're more anti Castro, not anti Kennedy.
- 2:11:02Speaker 2: Right, You're right. I mean, I can't presume to know
- 2:11:09Speaker 2: what she might have been, but it doesn't seem like
- 2:11:13Speaker 2: crazy to men. If she was very pro anti Castro,
- 2:11:20Speaker 2: that she could be some anti Kennedy.
- 2:11:23Speaker 3: Missus Canell described John Martin aka Juan Martin as sharing
- 2:11:27Speaker 3: missus Oudio's anti Kennedy feelings. Missus Cannell stated she met
- 2:11:32Speaker 3: Martin twice at Odio's apartment, described Martin as being five
- 2:11:36Speaker 3: foot seven inches tall and weighing a whopping one hundred
- 2:11:40Speaker 3: and thirty pounds, soaking wet, and as being her close
- 2:11:43Speaker 3: friend of miss Odio.
- 2:11:46Speaker 2: Is not much.
- 2:11:47Speaker 3: Sometime in sixty three, Martin drove to Florida, where he
- 2:11:50Speaker 3: picked up a car belonging to Sylvia's brother and drove
- 2:11:53Speaker 3: it back to Dallas. Now they're talking about Colonel Caster,
- 2:11:57Speaker 3: she said. Colonel Caster's wife is connected with h. Hunt.
- 2:12:01Speaker 3: HL Hunt is the father of Lamar Hunt, the owner
- 2:12:03Speaker 3: of the Kansas City football team.
- 2:12:07Speaker 2: They still owner.
- 2:12:08Speaker 3: By the way, the Hunts, the daughter of hl Hunt
- 2:12:11Speaker 3: as a Missus Hill, who is active in right wing
- 2:12:13Speaker 3: political activities. Missus Canell described Missus Hill as being in
- 2:12:17Speaker 3: their late forties early fifties. It's entirely possible Missus Hill
- 2:12:21Speaker 3: is the father of Thomas Hill, a former Dallas man
- 2:12:24Speaker 3: in his mid twenties who now lives in Massachusetts and
- 2:12:28Speaker 3: works as an organizer for the John Birch Society. Thomas
- 2:12:32Speaker 3: Hill was the leader in the John Birch Society in
- 2:12:34Speaker 3: Dallas before he went to Belmont. Hill's name appears in
- 2:12:37Speaker 3: Jack Ruby's notebook and may have been taken down when
- 2:12:42Speaker 3: Ruby photographed the impeach or A Warren sign. Wow, Apparently
- 2:12:47Speaker 3: Thomas Hill was in a restaurant at the same time
- 2:12:51Speaker 3: Jack Ruby and all them guys went out and were
- 2:12:53Speaker 3: taking pictures of the impeach Earl Warren sign And apparently
- 2:12:57Speaker 3: they were either together there or just happened to be
- 2:13:01Speaker 3: there at the same time, which is odd. Yes, Yeah,
- 2:13:10Speaker 3: Hector is Gadero's wife, works at NEMI and Marcus okay,
- 2:13:15Speaker 3: mm hmm, yeah. But that's that's about it for the
- 2:13:25Speaker 3: I mean, it's a lot. Yeah, and.
- 2:13:30Speaker 2: Patty Link, which I believe you. I don't think you've
- 2:13:36Speaker 2: glossed over it, but I saw it at the end
- 2:13:38Speaker 2: of that document. I have a little two sentence thing
- 2:13:43Speaker 2: on her associated with father McCann, speculated on the appearing
- 2:13:48Speaker 2: disappearance of McCann and Sylvia's frantic efforts to locate the
- 2:13:53Speaker 2: father after the assassination, page two sixty eight. I believe
- 2:13:57Speaker 2: this is some ORB file.
- 2:14:01Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Sylvia. Odia wasn't the only person frantically looking
- 2:14:06Speaker 3: for father McCann after the assassination. That was Mary Sullivan, right.
- 2:14:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I have that here too, and I think maybe
- 2:14:17Speaker 2: we'll say that for part two because I have an
- 2:14:20Speaker 2: interesting interview with miss Connell by Burt Griffin. I think
- 2:14:30Speaker 2: I mentioned it before in April thirteenth, the same day
- 2:14:34Speaker 2: as I mentioned, Oh yeah, did you read all of it? Okay, okay,
- 2:14:42Speaker 2: it was.
- 2:14:42Speaker 3: The second part of that document I had there see
- 2:14:44Speaker 3: five seven weigh pounds?
- 2:14:47Speaker 2: Well, yeah, And then I have some more on Johnny
- 2:14:51Speaker 2: Martin on some of Odio's at HCA interview. I believe
- 2:14:56Speaker 2: you've read some of that as well. But we have
- 2:14:58Speaker 2: a lot of stuff, Rob, I mean, this this is juicy.
- 2:15:02Speaker 2: We have a lot of stuff for Part two for
- 2:15:04Speaker 2: members only. Uh, this coming Wednesday. That's that's for sure.
- 2:15:11Speaker 3: See signor signor.
- 2:15:16Speaker 2: Signor So let's check a couple of comments maybe before
- 2:15:22Speaker 2: we go, since we're two and sixteen into this.
- 2:15:29Speaker 3: Uh what does this mean?
- 2:15:36Speaker 2: What does this mean? Doctor? I'm spra also studied.
- 2:15:41Speaker 3: Using aura real otherwise.
- 2:15:46Speaker 2: To lower I don't know that, to lower inter intra
- 2:15:52Speaker 2: cranial pressure. Interesting, how do you know that? Nor know where?
- 2:15:58Speaker 2: With Iran?
- 2:15:58Speaker 3: I don't know. But I was like, and how did
- 2:16:02Speaker 3: the piss get into the brain? I'm inquiring? Minds one another? Yeah?
- 2:16:08Speaker 3: Did he snort?
- 2:16:08Speaker 1: It?
- 2:16:09Speaker 3: Was it injected?
- 2:16:13Speaker 2: Joshua says Texas Instruments being brought by Howard I believe
- 2:16:18Speaker 2: he means Hughes.
- 2:16:19Speaker 3: Right, let me google that really quickly.
- 2:16:31Speaker 2: We like to figure things out here.
- 2:16:33Speaker 3: He said Texas Instruments was a contractor and supplier to
- 2:16:38Speaker 3: the CIA. That's believable. Yeah, I mean Howard.
- 2:16:54Speaker 2: Hughes did build an aviation and manufacturing empire, but it
- 2:17:01Speaker 2: was eventually acquired by Raytheon, So I'm not sure, although
- 2:17:06Speaker 2: I did misspell a word.
- 2:17:07Speaker 3: So now he says Fergie has no money, she was
- 2:17:14Speaker 3: married to Prince Andrews and she will always be a socialite. Well,
- 2:17:18Speaker 3: well I get it, but trust me, somebody is putting
- 2:17:21Speaker 3: money in Fergie's bank account. Ah, she ain't broke.
- 2:17:28Speaker 8: Yeah, let me see what else. I think we have
- 2:17:34Speaker 8: a couple more. Howard Hughes on the Texas Theater.
- 2:17:39Speaker 3: I don't know about that.
- 2:17:42Speaker 5: A Google, I don't know about that. And yeah, I
- 2:17:53Speaker 5: believe I've never heard of that.
- 2:17:55Speaker 3: I believe this dude Silvio who got a job with
- 2:17:58Speaker 3: Crole Associates, who was one of these front front things
- 2:18:02Speaker 3: for CIA, you know, these advertising firms or lawyer Grooves
- 2:18:08Speaker 3: or whatever.
- 2:18:10Speaker 2: Howard Hughes briefly owned the Texas Theater in the Oakliffe
- 2:18:14Speaker 2: neighborhood of Dallas, Texas during the early nineteen thirties. Oh yeah,
- 2:18:22Speaker 2: according to a quick Google search.
- 2:18:25Speaker 3: So take it.
- 2:18:28Speaker 2: So true and false. But apparently John Martino served time
- 2:18:37Speaker 2: in Cuban prison with old man Odio. I could tell
- 2:18:44Speaker 2: you that he definitely was in Tresconia and served time
- 2:18:49Speaker 2: with a lot of scaffozos and including Santra Trafficante. Because
- 2:18:54Speaker 2: I present that this is atlancer, as Rob loves to
- 2:18:57Speaker 2: be reminded of.
- 2:18:58Speaker 3: And the other is Joe's long winded answered.
- 2:19:03Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know if he was exactly
- 2:19:08Speaker 2: imprisoned with old man Odio. I think he might have
- 2:19:13Speaker 2: been in the same prison. I don't know if it
- 2:19:15Speaker 2: was the same what's it called a quansi hut or
- 2:19:17Speaker 2: something shit like that. I'm not exactly sure about that.
- 2:19:21Speaker 2: But yes, they were in prisons at the same time,
- 2:19:26Speaker 2: I believe. And I know I just mentioned that, Rob,
- 2:19:32Speaker 2: because I know you love when I bring that up.
- 2:19:36Speaker 2: And yeah, I think that's it. I think I'm gonna
- 2:19:40Speaker 2: mute and try to pretend that I'm leaving to grab
- 2:19:44Speaker 2: the damn that's all you have, Rob.
- 2:19:48Speaker 3: I know we have some more thing. Okay, sure, I
- 2:19:54Speaker 3: actually have an interview with Silviodio's vagina. Here it is,
- 2:20:10Speaker 3: and that's it for us. S Dino gets your fat
- 2:20:14Speaker 3: ass in.
- 2:20:20Speaker 2: We're gonna get copyrighted after two hours, twenty minutes.
- 2:20:23Speaker 3: Not for that shirt. All right, folks, that's it for
- 2:20:28Speaker 3: this one.
- 2:20:30Speaker 9: Definitely tune in for part two of this sexty sadistic,
- 2:20:34Speaker 9: sad story of Sylvia Oudio and Herbergina and father McCann
- 2:20:40Speaker 9: and everybody else they banged her and all of this
- 2:20:44Speaker 9: good stuff.
- 2:20:46Speaker 3: Thank you, guys for hanging out with us. We hope
- 2:20:48Speaker 3: you enjoyed the show. Be on the lookout. It's some
- 2:20:51Speaker 3: more random research rambles with Rob. Another book review and
- 2:20:55Speaker 3: again next Wednesday, part two of Yo, There's Ruby, there's.
- 2:21:06Speaker 2: The acute of the Ruby.
- 2:21:09Speaker 3: Booby. Al Right, folks, we'll see you very soon.
- 2:21:19Speaker 2: She's a haircut as the Joe.
- 2:21:23Speaker 1: Sure,
