- 0:59Speaker 1: I'm your host, Rachel. You could tell I'm sitting with
- 1:02Speaker 1: my longtime friend and producer, Allison.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Hi, Allison. Hi, Rach.
- 1:07Speaker 1: So we decided to do a pop culture roundup today
- 1:09Speaker 1: and we picked the one and only Sarah Frazier.
- 1:12Speaker 2: You may know her from her podcast, The Sarah Frazier Show.
- 1:15Speaker 1: She does great clips and posts on her Instagram that
- 1:18Speaker 1: I'm always laughing over because she's so creative. She's got
- 1:21Speaker 1: a great background in journalism and broadcast. So you should
- 1:24Speaker 1: definitely follow her and listen to her podcast for sure.
- 1:26Speaker 2: But she breaks.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Down everything that she is following in pop culture right now.
- 1:32Speaker 1: You know, I woke up this morning and had to
- 1:34Speaker 1: be schooled all about the Taylor Swift era and what
- 1:39Speaker 1: new era we're in with the Drunk Poet Society.
- 1:43Speaker 2: What's it called?
- 1:43Speaker 3: Tortured Poets.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Yeah, well, same thing.
- 1:45Speaker 3: But similar, very similar.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Drunk, tortured, whatever.
- 1:49Speaker 1: And, you know, it's like these Swifties are like nothing else, which,
- 1:53Speaker 1: of course, we talk about in the episode. But I
- 1:56Speaker 1: really I can't get away from it. I mean, my
- 1:58Speaker 1: daughter has a jar out of, you know, so that
- 2:02Speaker 1: we're filling it with money so I could take her
- 2:04Speaker 1: to the concert in October. And I just can't get
- 2:07Speaker 1: away from Taylor. It's like but I love her.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I love her. Swiftie, don't come after me. I love her.
- 2:12Speaker 1: But I just can't figure out this album yet. Maybe
- 2:14Speaker 1: it's so many songs. It's so much to get through.
- 2:17Speaker 2: It's a lot. It's a lot. I did listen.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Through iHeart last night. I listened to the whole thing.
- 2:22Speaker 3: I was there for the listening party. And then I
- 2:25Speaker 3: was there for the drop of the other songs. I mean,
- 2:30Speaker 3: I was in my house, but I was there, you know,
- 2:33Speaker 3: listening with the rest of the Swifties.
- 2:35Speaker 1: You stayed up late to listen to it all?
- 2:37Speaker 3: Three hours earlier here. So I didn't have to deal
- 2:41Speaker 3: with that. But yeah, I mean, I'm in it. I'm
- 2:43Speaker 3: in it with everyone at this point.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Well, I'm excited then to see how it grows on us.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And if that becomes another concert.
- 2:50Speaker 3: There are definitely some songs on there that you're going
- 2:53Speaker 3: to love.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Okay, good.
- 2:54Speaker 3: There's just, there's so many that like you can't concentrate yet.
- 2:58Speaker 3: What exactly, you know, pinpoint your fave yet. You got
- 3:01Speaker 3: to give it time.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Right. Got it. Okay.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Well, Sarah Fraser gets into all that stuff about Taylor,
- 3:07Speaker 1: but then we really break down the D-Day that happened
- 3:10Speaker 1: with Bravo in the last week. There were so many things, divorces, breakups,
- 3:15Speaker 1: People getting fired.
- 3:17Speaker 3: People having babies.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Lots of stuff. Lots of stuff. People out, people in. Right.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And then, of course, Bethany has her new podcast, which
- 3:26Speaker 1: I know you're obsessed with.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Well, I'm obsessed with her as a figure because she's
- 3:31Speaker 3: just fascinating. I mean, last month she was picking out
- 3:34Speaker 3: lip glosses at Target. And this month she's talking about how,
- 3:38Speaker 3: you know, divorce changed her and is literally giving every
- 3:43Speaker 3: dirty detail about her. her 10 year divorce. So it's like,
- 3:48Speaker 3: I mean, yeah.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I don't know that I want to hear about her
- 3:52Speaker 1: traumatizing sex life with Jason.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I don't think I do either, but she apparently thinks
- 3:58Speaker 3: people are interested in everything she does.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:02Speaker 2: You know, it's yes.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I think that it is very interesting. She does have
- 4:05Speaker 1: a huge following people listen to all this stuff, but people,
- 4:08Speaker 1: I think, um, the takeaway is starting to be like,
- 4:11Speaker 1: this might be too much info because she does have
- 4:13Speaker 1: a daughter that has to listen.
- 4:15Speaker 3: She go to therapy. Like is the podcast therapy. I just,
- 4:20Speaker 3: that's what I'm confusing this with.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:23Speaker 1: It could be her, her way of, uh, Telling her
- 4:26Speaker 1: story and getting it out there.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Maybe. Well, we'll have to follow that and see. But anyway,
- 4:32Speaker 2: we go through all.
- 4:33Speaker 1: The hot topics that are out right now and have
- 4:35Speaker 1: a really nice conversation with Sarah of all the things
- 4:38Speaker 1: that she's obsessed with and looking forward to in the future.
- 4:40Speaker 1: So I think, well, actually, I know you will enjoy
- 4:44Speaker 1: my conversation with Sarah Frazier.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Sarah, how good is that music, actually? We were both
- 5:22Speaker 2: just jamming out to it. Your intro is fire.
- 5:25Speaker 4: And I always, your roster of guests, I can't, like
- 5:30Speaker 4: Rob Blagojevich, I'm actually, I know you're like, girl, really,
- 5:34Speaker 4: of all my guests, that's the one. But his life
- 5:37Speaker 4: was so tabloid for so long.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Anyway, you have amazing guests. I know.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Well, I was going to say, the first thing I
- 5:42Speaker 1: love about my show, of course, is the guests. The
- 5:44Speaker 1: second thing I love is that intro.
- 5:46Speaker 2: It's so good. I love to jam out.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's good. I'm so happy to have you here.
- 5:52Speaker 1: People love to have this pop culture roundup because I
- 5:54Speaker 1: don't really follow all the news the way I should be.
- 5:57Speaker 1: So I needed to have you here today. So thank
- 5:59Speaker 1: you so much for joining me. And before we get
- 6:02Speaker 1: into all that, though, I want to talk about you.
- 6:04Speaker 1: How long have you been doing your podcast?
- 6:06Speaker 2: Eight years. Incredible.
- 6:09Speaker 1: And you are doing like so well. You have amazing guests.
- 6:12Speaker 1: The fact that you got I think you got an
- 6:14Speaker 1: exclusive with Drake Bell, right?
- 6:16Speaker 6: I did.
- 6:16Speaker 4: So right after Quiet on Set documentary dropped, which was
- 6:20Speaker 4: a couple of weeks ago. And, you know, that whole
- 6:21Speaker 4: thing was huge because it exposed Nickelodeon's Dan Schneider, who
- 6:25Speaker 4: was the producer. And then Brian Peck, who sexually assaulted
- 6:29Speaker 4: Drake Bell when he was 15 and had worked with
- 6:31Speaker 4: him for years, went to jail for 16 months. And
- 6:34Speaker 4: then Brian gets out and is still able to work
- 6:36Speaker 4: in Hollywood with kids to this day.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Although I think a lot of that's changing. But yes.
- 6:42Speaker 4: So right after that, I actually have a mutual friend.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Drake and I have a mutual friend in common. And
- 6:49Speaker 4: we'd been talking for a while that he wanted to
- 6:52Speaker 4: come on my show. I had no idea, though, that
- 6:55Speaker 4: he was going to reveal what he revealed in Quiet
- 6:57Speaker 4: on Set doc. And then he said, yeah, I'm really
- 6:59Speaker 4: ready to tell my story. And so he did. We
- 7:02Speaker 4: talked for an hour and 20 minutes. And I had
- 7:04Speaker 4: the first interview on that Friday after the documentary dropped.
- 7:07Speaker 2: And it blew up. It went everywhere.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Did that change your podcast at all? Or, I mean,
- 7:12Speaker 1: obviously people knew of you already.
- 7:15Speaker 2: They did.
- 7:15Speaker 4: You know, it's so funny and I'm sure you experienced this,
- 7:18Speaker 4: but it's like when those moments happen, you get this
- 7:22Speaker 4: initial bump, right? So I got asked to be a
- 7:24Speaker 4: guest on a lot of people's podcasts, but I would
- 7:27Speaker 4: say only half of them actually followed up and followed through.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Oh, that's interesting.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Do you think it's because the news cycle goes so quickly?
- 7:37Speaker 1: I was just talking to my producer, Alison, about this
- 7:40Speaker 1: last two weeks ago. Everybody like their morning stood still
- 7:44Speaker 1: because of the video that came out with Mike Shoehead
- 7:48Speaker 1: and the girlfriend.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Right.
- 7:49Speaker 1: And everyone's like, oh, shit, this is like terrible. The
- 7:53Speaker 1: next day, like no one was talking about it anymore.
- 7:55Speaker 2: It was weird.
- 7:56Speaker 1: So do you think that people just were over it
- 7:59Speaker 1: after hearing a little bit about it?
- 8:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I think people's attention spans are very short. And
- 8:04Speaker 4: I think that they, yeah, people move on quickly. So
- 8:08Speaker 4: probably if they can't get you that exact day.
- 8:11Speaker 2: To talk about it. And I get that.
- 8:12Speaker 4: I mean, I'm sometimes the same way. I reach out
- 8:14Speaker 4: to a guest and it's like in that moment, I
- 8:16Speaker 4: want them. But then a week later, you're like, well...
- 8:19Speaker 4: you know, I just doesn't hit the same.
- 8:21Speaker 2: So I totally understand that, but it did.
- 8:23Speaker 6: Yes.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I have to say, and there's been.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Even more interest in, you know, you and I are
- 8:29Speaker 4: on the podcast monetizing side. So I've been reached out
- 8:31Speaker 4: to some other companies that are like, Hey, what are
- 8:33Speaker 4: you doing? You know, with your podcast monetization wise and
- 8:36Speaker 4: all this. So it, yes, I think all these moments
- 8:38Speaker 4: certainly help for sure. And I've been doing this a
- 8:42Speaker 4: very long time. So it feels good when you are
- 8:45Speaker 4: rewarded for your hard work.
- 8:47Speaker 5: Right.
- 8:47Speaker 2: And gives you more credibility. Wait a minute.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I'm curious about that because I did see on your Instagram,
- 8:51Speaker 1: you were talking about potentially teaching a class to anyone
- 8:55Speaker 1: that wanted to sign up.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Have you decided what you're going to teach?
- 8:58Speaker 6: Yes.
- 8:59Speaker 4: I actually already have the course, but I'm going to do...
- 9:01Speaker 4: And anybody listening to this can email me. I'm going
- 9:04Speaker 4: to give it away to 20 people for free because...
- 9:07Speaker 4: I'm sure that there are blind spots. I've been doing
- 9:10Speaker 4: it for so long, you know, so I'm sure there's
- 9:11Speaker 4: things that I don't even think about that someone starting
- 9:14Speaker 4: a podcast is like, Hey.
- 9:16Speaker 2: How do I do this?
- 9:17Speaker 4: So I want to have a test group of two
- 9:20Speaker 4: groups of 10.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I want them to just come on. I want to
- 9:23Speaker 2: do the course.
- 9:24Speaker 4: And then at the end, I want them to say, well,
- 9:25Speaker 4: I wish you'd answered this, or could you do more
- 9:27Speaker 4: of that?
- 9:28Speaker 2: And I'm it's, and what's the, what's the arc of it?
- 9:31Speaker 1: Is it how to monetize your podcast, how to start
- 9:33Speaker 1: a podcast from scratch?
- 9:34Speaker 2: What is it?
- 9:35Speaker 4: Well, I think that's what I'll find out and really
- 9:37Speaker 4: hone in on when I do the test group. But yes,
- 9:40Speaker 4: I think it's going to be growth and monetization because
- 9:43Speaker 4: I've been in this game so long. I mean, when
- 9:45Speaker 4: I started eight years ago, nobody advertised on podcasts. No
- 9:49Speaker 4: one knew where to find a podcast. And now we
- 9:51Speaker 4: are still in its infancy.
- 9:53Speaker 2: You know, people are, it's a $ 2 billion a year
- 9:56Speaker 2: advertising industry.
- 9:58Speaker 1: And that's not- that you're saying it's in its infancy
- 10:01Speaker 1: because so many people are like, oh, you know, it's
- 10:04Speaker 1: too late to start or, oh, you're, you work on
- 10:06Speaker 1: a podcast.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Okay.
- 10:07Speaker 1: What do you really do? You know, my, I'm trying
- 10:10Speaker 1: to do this for a living. Like this is my
- 10:12Speaker 1: income right now. And so I want to sign up
- 10:14Speaker 1: for your class because I want to, you know, obviously
- 10:17Speaker 1: people come to me and they think I, you know,
- 10:19Speaker 1: I've only been doing this a year. So thank God
- 10:21Speaker 1: that an advertiser is even remotely thinks about advertising on
- 10:25Speaker 1: my show, but I want to know how to really
- 10:27Speaker 1: do it and how to get the sponsors and how
- 10:29Speaker 1: to get those year contracts that really make a difference,
- 10:32Speaker 1: you know, so that I can, I love doing this.
- 10:35Speaker 2: I think it's so much fun. Do you love it?
- 10:37Speaker 2: I love it. And you are really good at it.
- 10:40Speaker 4: And you have this incredible, I believe anybody can podcast
- 10:45Speaker 4: as a side hustle and turn it into a full-time job.
- 10:48Speaker 4: I am where you like, I'm just a couple of
- 10:50Speaker 4: years ahead of you. Cause a couple of years ago,
- 10:52Speaker 4: I had a different couple of different jobs and I
- 10:54Speaker 4: kept thinking, how do I make it a full-time income?
- 10:57Speaker 4: And then over the past three years, because it is
- 11:00Speaker 4: still in its infancy and it's We are never going
- 11:03Speaker 4: back to people advertising on radio. We're hardly going back
- 11:06Speaker 4: to people advertising on local television. So that money is
- 11:09Speaker 4: going to go now online, YouTube, creators like yourself, myself.
- 11:14Speaker 4: And you have this incredible advantage that you know these
- 11:16Speaker 4: amazing people.
- 11:17Speaker 2: That come on your show. and tell their story. That
- 11:20Speaker 2: is very valuable. So you will get there.
- 11:23Speaker 4: And I believe whether people have a following that you have,
- 11:26Speaker 4: or maybe they have a business podcast, there are so
- 11:29Speaker 4: many ways to monetize your show. And it's only getting
- 11:32Speaker 4: bigger and better and more opportunities because these advertising companies
- 11:36Speaker 4: are looking for incredible talent like you.
- 11:38Speaker 2: But there are some things that people don't realize.
- 11:41Speaker 4: A lot of people feel like they can just sign
- 11:43Speaker 4: up for a podcast company to sell them and then
- 11:45Speaker 4: never check in with that company. And truly, to make
- 11:48Speaker 4: this your full-time job, you have to be in touch
- 11:51Speaker 4: with your advertisers and your ad rep a lot more
- 11:53Speaker 4: than people think. And that's a huge disconnect for podcasters.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Because a lot of podcasters aren't great on the business
- 12:00Speaker 2: side or they've never.
- 12:02Speaker 4: you know, they've never worked with clients on a more
- 12:05Speaker 4: personal basis, but if you don't really foster that relationship
- 12:08Speaker 4: and tweak your commercial and give them some added value,
- 12:12Speaker 4: they are not going to sign for that year contract
- 12:14Speaker 4: that you want.
- 12:14Speaker 2: But a lot of people don't know that stuff. Right.
- 12:17Speaker 4: Okay.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Well, this will be really interesting.
- 12:18Speaker 1: And also there's a whole, you know, social media component
- 12:21Speaker 1: to it that people really have to understand. That's like
- 12:23Speaker 1: a whole separate business on the side. So I hope
- 12:25Speaker 1: you get into that. And, you know, what I would
- 12:28Speaker 1: love to suggest to you is, so I think you
- 12:31Speaker 1: know this, I had Kathy Griffin on recently and she
- 12:33Speaker 1: talked about how she has these luncheons with women or
- 12:36Speaker 1: sometimes men too, that come on and just talk about
- 12:38Speaker 1: certain topics. It'd be so great to have some sort
- 12:41Speaker 1: of luncheon where a bunch of us get together and
- 12:43Speaker 1: talk about what we've learned, the ups and downs, things
- 12:46Speaker 1: that we want to share, contacts, whatever it is, not
- 12:49Speaker 1: guest related, but contacts in the business, you know, and
- 12:51Speaker 1: I think that would be so interesting to put all
- 12:54Speaker 1: of our minds together and talk about all the terrible
- 12:56Speaker 1: things that have happened so they don't.
- 13:23Speaker 7: Find out more at rsa.ie. A message from the Road
- 13:26Speaker 7: Safety Authority.
- 13:27Speaker 1: What happened, all the great things that have happened that
- 13:29Speaker 1: led to other things, that could be really helpful. So
- 13:31Speaker 1: next time I'm in your area, let's put a lunch together.
- 13:34Speaker 2: We have to do that.
- 13:35Speaker 4: And I'm not sure if I'm going, and you and I,
- 13:37Speaker 4: I think, talked like too late for this, but there
- 13:40Speaker 4: was just podcast movement in L.A., which I wish that
- 13:42Speaker 4: you would come to because I thought of you. There
- 13:44Speaker 4: were so many things I think you would love and
- 13:47Speaker 4: other podcasters to connect to and advertisers and AI growth.
- 13:51Speaker 4: So there's actually another one coming up in August in Washington, D.C.
- 13:55Speaker 4: I'm like toying on the fence, but maybe we should go.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Because a lot of- Let's go. Let's go and have fun.
- 14:00Speaker 2: We'll stay in the same hotel. We'll go out at night.
- 14:03Speaker 2: This could be really fun. I would love it. You
- 14:06Speaker 2: know what we could do, Sarah?
- 14:07Speaker 1: We could do one of those Montana Boys videos together
- 14:11Speaker 1: that I'm so jealous that when I went on your
- 14:12Speaker 1: Instagram this morning, I saw you.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Did one with David Yontef.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Okay, so before we get into more stuff about pop culture,
- 14:20Speaker 1: which obviously the top story is Taylor Swift this morning,
- 14:22Speaker 1: but my biggest question is what the hell is going
- 14:26Speaker 1: on with the Montana Brothers?
- 14:27Speaker 2: Why does everyone care? What is that stupid song? What
- 14:30Speaker 2: do they do? I don't get it, but your video
- 14:32Speaker 2: made me laugh. I probably watched it 15 times. The
- 14:35Speaker 2: Luke Combs song.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Well, the Montana boys, I think, Kristen Cavallari really kicked
- 14:41Speaker 4: that off because she's dating one of the guys that's
- 14:44Speaker 4: so hot. And, you know, it really is the perfect combo.
- 14:48Speaker 4: That guy owes her everything because he catapulted, she catapulted him. But,
- 14:52Speaker 4: you know, there's a big, not a big age gap,
- 14:54Speaker 4: but there's over a decade age gap. He's like 26
- 14:57Speaker 4: and she's 40 or close to 40, I think.
- 15:00Speaker 2: So there's that, right?
- 15:02Speaker 4: There's always that, you know, stigma, even though it's ridiculous,
- 15:05Speaker 4: of an older woman dating a younger man and she's
- 15:07Speaker 4: divorced and she has kids.
- 15:09Speaker 2: So what is she doing with this guy?
- 15:11Speaker 3: Right.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Right.
- 15:12Speaker 4: She's the one that really set it off. And then
- 15:14Speaker 4: he is part of these two other guys, these Montana,
- 15:17Speaker 4: they call themselves the Montana boys.
- 15:19Speaker 2: And they, I loved it.
- 15:20Speaker 4: They were just actually on Dave Portnoy's podcast the other day,
- 15:23Speaker 4: who I, I like I'm obsessed with Dave Portnoy.
- 15:26Speaker 2: So, and they were. All they have right now is
- 15:29Speaker 2: a clothing line out.
- 15:31Speaker 4: And the clothing line, thanks to Kristen, has done more
- 15:34Speaker 4: amazing than they ever thought it would. And they don't
- 15:37Speaker 4: think that they can do a podcast because they're three
- 15:39Speaker 4: men of so few words, which is true.

- 18:02Speaker 2: Well, no. You know what's funny? Wait, before you answer
- 18:05Speaker 2: that question, you know what's funny about them? They do different.
- 18:07Speaker 1: So for people listening, if you don't know who they are,
- 18:10Speaker 1: they do these videos with like these songs and they
- 18:12Speaker 1: like lip sync it and they kind of walk one
- 18:14Speaker 1: guy in front of the other and one's hotter than
- 18:16Speaker 1: the other. And you kind of are like, oh, who
- 18:18Speaker 1: are these guys? But then you're like, well, this is
- 18:20Speaker 1: dumb because they use the same song in like 30
- 18:24Speaker 1: posts that's what I don't understand and then it's kind
- 18:26Speaker 1: of like well do they have a job I like
- 18:28Speaker 1: that UPS guy that's always dancing to different music or
- 18:32Speaker 1: a cowboy that's always dancing to certain songs because it's
- 18:34Speaker 1: funny like he's at his office but like do they work.
- 18:39Speaker 2: No this is their job I know Yeah.
- 18:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:44Speaker 2: I mean, who wouldn't love, who wouldn't love to be
- 18:48Speaker 2: known for that? I mean, how lazy is that? That's great.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I guess.
- 18:53Speaker 1: So did they not even, were they not even able
- 18:55Speaker 1: to answer a question on David's show?
- 18:57Speaker 2: No, they did. On the BFF pods. They did.
- 19:01Speaker 4: But they just were, you know, Brianna Chicken Fry and
- 19:04Speaker 4: Dave were saying like, okay, what, to your point, what
- 19:08Speaker 4: is their point?
- 19:09Speaker 2: Like, what is your end game? And they said they
- 19:12Speaker 2: didn't think they could do a podcast. They can't sing.
- 19:15Speaker 2: You know, really are hot blockheads. They are entertaining.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Calvin Klein, you know, shoot or whatever out of that,
- 19:25Speaker 1: I think.
- 19:26Speaker 2: They could probably, they could probably get that.
- 19:28Speaker 1: There's going to be a 15 minutes of fame that
- 19:29Speaker 1: extends for a little bit, but then they better ride
- 19:31Speaker 1: that wave super quick.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Super quick. Yeah. And that's it.
- 19:35Speaker 4: They're hot Montana boys. And now of course, everybody does
- 19:37Speaker 4: a spoof, right? Like I love, have you seen the,
- 19:39Speaker 4: the Georgia husbands that are like fat, they call themselves
- 19:42Speaker 4: the Georgia boys and fat knockoff versions of the bunch.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Oh, that's more, more my type. So I'm going to
- 19:49Speaker 1: have to go log on to them for sure. I
- 19:51Speaker 1: like that dad bod.
- 19:53Speaker 2: You do? I do. I really do.
- 19:55Speaker 1: If they're too good looking, they're annoying.
- 19:57Speaker 2: You know, they don't listen.
- 19:59Speaker 1: I was married to one who was very good looking
- 20:01Speaker 1: 10 years younger than me.
- 20:03Speaker 2: And still to this day, people were like, Why would
- 20:05Speaker 2: you divorce him? He's so good looking.
- 20:07Speaker 1: And I'm like, dude, you know, there's a lot more
- 20:09Speaker 1: than goes into a relationship than that. I like those
- 20:12Speaker 1: guys with dad bods. They try really hard. They love
- 20:15Speaker 1: you so much.
- 20:16Speaker 2: You know what I mean? They're not going anywhere. So
- 20:19Speaker 2: that's no, you're right.
- 20:21Speaker 4: I have to say that's the most, I think that
- 20:23Speaker 4: is the best relationship tip ever is to find a
- 20:26Speaker 4: man that really adores you. And usually that means you're
- 20:30Speaker 4: the hot one and he's a little less hot. And
- 20:33Speaker 4: people say to you, you could, yeah, you could be
- 20:35Speaker 4: with someone even hotter, but to your point, No, it
- 20:39Speaker 4: seems great, but then they always get a ton of
- 20:42Speaker 4: attention from other women you don't want. And if you
- 20:44Speaker 4: have a man that just adores you, that's a little
- 20:47Speaker 4: like you're the one that leads, it's the best.
- 20:49Speaker 2: It really is the best. Right. It's nice to feel
- 20:51Speaker 2: like you're the Giselle in the relationship. That's my relationship.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Have you seen my husband? He's very handsome. He's very handsome.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Got so lucky.
- 21:03Speaker 4: And I don't even know what he should have left
- 21:05Speaker 4: me years ago, but he, he's very handsome. He's very cute.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Everybody always says, but like, he is not, I'm sorry.
- 21:11Speaker 4: He's not a Montana boy. I would say this to
- 21:13Speaker 4: his face, but he is the greatest husband I could ever,
- 21:16Speaker 4: I never have to worry about him.
- 21:18Speaker 2: And to your point, that peace of mind is excellent.
- 21:21Speaker 2: He's a very good man. Thank God.
- 21:22Speaker 1: He's not a Montana boy. So wait, tell us a
- 21:24Speaker 1: little bit about yourself. You have a long history or
- 21:28Speaker 1: career in journalism, right? And, you know, I was looking
- 21:31Speaker 1: at some of your tapes when I was researching you.
- 21:34Speaker 1: You were really good and funny. You had me, like, laughing,
- 21:36Speaker 1: and I love your energy. So can you tell me, like,
- 21:39Speaker 1: how you got into it?
- 21:40Speaker 4: Yeah, so I've been in broadcasting almost two decades, which is, like,
- 21:44Speaker 4: insane to say, because I started in 2005 in D.C.
- 21:48Speaker 4: I went to an all-women's college in Massachusetts, Mount Holyoke,
- 21:53Speaker 4: which was a terrible decision, but because— mostly.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Just because— There were no men in sight. I wanted
- 22:00Speaker 2: to party.
- 22:00Speaker 4: And I always say the Mount Holyoke women were... They
- 22:03Speaker 4: were all brilliant. And I was the dumbest one. And
- 22:05Speaker 4: I always wanted to be a radio DJ or a
- 22:08Speaker 4: trashy talk show host. I never wanted to be a
- 22:10Speaker 4: dentist or a doctor or a lawyer. And all the
- 22:12Speaker 4: women there did. They were amazing women. But I was like,
- 22:15Speaker 4: where are the men? And where are the drinks?
- 22:18Speaker 2: Like, it was just... It was really bad.
- 22:20Speaker 5: So.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I managed my way through that. I moved to DC. I'm,
- 22:24Speaker 2: I'm just a hustler.
- 22:25Speaker 4: So I went around to every radio station and I
- 22:28Speaker 4: knocked on doors and I said, are you guys hiring?
- 22:30Speaker 4: And a couple of them were hiring promotions and I
- 22:33Speaker 4: worked my way up. I became an assistant producer and
- 22:36Speaker 4: there was a saying in radio, you're not in radio
- 22:38Speaker 4: unless you've been fired. I probably have been fired from
- 22:40Speaker 4: five radio jobs probably in my work.
- 22:44Speaker 2: They just, they change formats.
- 22:46Speaker 4: They run out of money, you know, radio's dead. So
- 22:48Speaker 4: I was sort of on the tail end of radio.
- 22:51Speaker 4: So they would go bankrupt or whatever. And they'd be like,
- 22:52Speaker 4: all right, Frasier, we're making cuts. So today's your last day.
- 22:54Speaker 2: So, okay, great.
- 22:57Speaker 4: But I did get extremely lucky in 2007. I landed
- 23:01Speaker 4: a co-hosting job on a show called.
- 23:03Speaker 2: The Keen Show.
- 23:04Speaker 4: And from that show just went to number one with iHeartRadio.
- 23:08Speaker 4: And we were syndicated in Tampa, Florida, and in Memphis, Tennessee,
- 23:13Speaker 4: and Louisville, Kentucky, and Cincinnati, and Baltimore, and Washington, D.C.,
- 23:15Speaker 4: and Sirius XM.
- 23:17Speaker 2: And that changed my life. That show... changed everything for me.
- 23:20Speaker 4: My financial situation, it gave me chances to do red
- 23:24Speaker 4: carpets and interview celebrities.
- 23:26Speaker 2: So I had a seven year run.
- 23:28Speaker 1: And what did you do with them? Were you doing
- 23:30Speaker 1: pop culture stuff? Were you talking about news? Were you
- 23:32Speaker 1: picking songs? Like what were you doing?
- 23:35Speaker 2: No, we were the morning show.
- 23:36Speaker 4: So if you ever listened to a zany morning show
- 23:40Speaker 4: in your town, that was me.
- 23:42Speaker 2: It was Kane, Sammy and Sarah.
- 23:44Speaker 4: And Kane was the dad and Sammy was the 20
- 23:47Speaker 4: year old college student who was high all the time.
- 23:49Speaker 2: And then I was sort of the voice of reason.
- 23:52Speaker 2: And it just worked. We all had.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Chemistry together and I was on air for that with
- 23:57Speaker 4: them for seven years.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I left.
- 23:59Speaker 4: Unfortunately, my co-host a couple of years ago died of
- 24:02Speaker 4: a drug overdose, an alcohol overdose.
- 24:05Speaker 2: It was really sad.
- 24:06Speaker 4: We were an example of how money and fame changed
- 24:09Speaker 4: everybody for the worst. We started out as great friends,
- 24:12Speaker 4: but once the money came and the fame, everybody became
- 24:15Speaker 4: divided and hated each other. And You know, I've learned
- 24:19Speaker 4: over the years that rising tides lift all boats, but
- 24:22Speaker 4: that was not the motto there. The motto at I
- 24:24Speaker 4: Heart and Hot when I was there was it's not
- 24:27Speaker 4: show friendship, it's show business. And they proved that to
- 24:30Speaker 4: be true. So I had to leave and move on.
- 24:33Speaker 4: And I moved to Fox 5 DC. I did a
- 24:36Speaker 4: TV gig there as an entertainment correspondent and a true
- 24:43Speaker 4: crime journalist. I did true crime podcasts for a while.
- 24:47Speaker 4: I always have done like comedy things, improv, standup stuff.
- 24:50Speaker 4: I worked another radio gig in between, but then my
- 24:53Speaker 4: last radio job, I got a severance package and I
- 24:56Speaker 4: knew radio was dead and podcasting was the future. And
- 24:59Speaker 4: so I took the money and I started my show.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Wow.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And so, you know, it's really important, in my opinion,
- 25:04Speaker 1: correct me if I'm wrong, to find somewhat of a
- 25:06Speaker 1: niche or like a brand, you know, because a lot
- 25:09Speaker 1: of people are always talking to me, oh, I'm going
- 25:10Speaker 1: to start a podcast.
- 25:11Speaker 2: And I'm like, about what?
- 25:13Speaker 1: And they, you know, oh, I'm going to talk about
- 25:15Speaker 1: the news or my life or, you know, like Bethany
- 25:19Speaker 1: keeps starting new podcasts, talking about her divorce, whatever.
- 25:21Speaker 2: So everyone has something to talk about.
- 25:23Speaker 1: But I think it's really important to find your niche
- 25:26Speaker 1: to be able to stay.
- 25:27Speaker 7: Are you learning to drive? From the 1st of November 2026,
- 25:30Speaker 7: new rules will apply for learner permit holders. To get
- 25:34Speaker 7: a third or fourth learner permit, you must have taken
- 25:37Speaker 7: a driving test within the previous two years. After your
- 25:40Speaker 7: fourth permit, or if your permit has been expired for
- 25:43Speaker 7: more than two years, you will have to start the
- 25:46Speaker 7: learning to drive process again. Remember, you can only drive
- 25:49Speaker 7: unaccompanied if you hold a valid full driving licence. Find
- 25:53Speaker 7: out more at rsa.ie. A message from the Road Safety Authority.
- 25:57Speaker 1: And also to have it have some longevity to it.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Do you agree with that?
- 26:02Speaker 2: Yeah, 100%.
- 26:03Speaker 4: I do tell people when you start your show, if
- 26:05Speaker 4: you've always had this desire to tell your story or
- 26:09Speaker 4: to have a podcast, just do it. And don't worry
- 26:11Speaker 4: about the niche at first. Because most people quit. You know,
- 26:14Speaker 4: most people never get as far as you've gotten that
- 26:17Speaker 4: I've gotten. Most people will do it for six months.
- 26:19Speaker 4: And they realize, as you know, it's a ton more work, right?
- 26:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:23Speaker 4: So much more than you think. Research, even doing research
- 26:26Speaker 4: for guests is a heavy lift, you know? So I
- 26:30Speaker 4: always say to people at first, just get your reps in,
- 26:33Speaker 4: just commit to, if you're going to put your show
- 26:35Speaker 4: out on Wednesdays, just do it. But to your point,
- 26:38Speaker 4: to actually really make money, yes, you.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Have to become known for something. Yeah, right. Exactly.
- 26:43Speaker 1: And that's actually hard for people to know what they're,
- 26:46Speaker 1: what they want to, you know, focus on and be
- 26:48Speaker 1: driven about.
- 26:49Speaker 4: Okay.
- 26:49Speaker 1: So when you first started, what did you know you
- 26:51Speaker 1: wanted to talk about on your podcast?
- 26:53Speaker 4: Well, I mean, to your point, I actually, when I
- 26:55Speaker 4: started the Sarah Frazier show, I had no idea. I
- 26:58Speaker 4: did it three days a week at a comedy club
- 27:01Speaker 4: in DC at the DC Improv.
- 27:02Speaker 2: I will forever be grateful for them. And I didn't
- 27:06Speaker 2: I had no idea. I did everything.
- 27:07Speaker 4: I went to I broadcasted from a mosque to find
- 27:10Speaker 4: out more about what it was like to be a
- 27:12Speaker 4: Muslim woman and in a Muslim community in Virginia. I
- 27:16Speaker 4: had a oh, my God, I'm trying to think I've
- 27:19Speaker 4: had everybody on my show. I did Black Lives Matter things.
- 27:22Speaker 4: I did comedy stuff. We did an election night party
- 27:26Speaker 4: when it was Hillary Clinton versus Donald Trump.
- 27:29Speaker 2: And, you know, fun.
- 27:30Speaker 1: So you basically were almost like a variety show where
- 27:32Speaker 1: you would cover all sorts of things.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Incidentally, have you ever gone into an Amish community to
- 27:39Speaker 1: get to the bottom of what's going on in there?
- 27:41Speaker 2: No, but that would be a good one.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Maybe we could do that together because I am dying
- 27:46Speaker 1: to know what's happening. The same thing with Scientology. I
- 27:49Speaker 1: want to go in. I want to say you can't
- 27:52Speaker 1: change me and see if they can't. Okay, well, I
- 27:55Speaker 1: would definitely join a cult. So I know they would
- 27:58Speaker 1: change me. Here's what I always say.
- 27:59Speaker 4: I would be a Scientologist until I would join any
- 28:02Speaker 4: cult until the part where you have to give them money. Like,
- 28:04Speaker 4: I hate that. Make me famous first, and then I
- 28:09Speaker 4: will give you my money. I'm not doing the $ 100, 000
- 28:11Speaker 4: audit for Scientology to get to the, no, you bring
- 28:14Speaker 4: me to the next level, and then I will get,
- 28:16Speaker 4: it should be like a manager. Once they make you famous,
- 28:18Speaker 4: here's 20%. I'm not giving you 20% beforehand. But you know,
- 28:22Speaker 4: that's what Scientology, you got to pay to be audited.
- 28:24Speaker 2: No, thank you. I know, you're right.
- 28:25Speaker 1: And they're out there like washing dishes as like a
- 28:27Speaker 1: famous actor, kind of.
- 28:29Speaker 2: It's terrible. Yeah.
- 28:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:30Speaker 4: And that's the org where you have to go out
- 28:32Speaker 4: and work like, you know, you're a slave to him.
- 28:34Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 28:35Speaker 4: You make me Tom Cruise's equal. And then absolutely, I
- 28:39Speaker 4: will clean toilets for you and everything else.
- 28:41Speaker 2: But it doesn't work the other way. No, it actually would.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Be funny if the two of us went in because
- 28:45Speaker 1: I feel like they can't, you know, get get me
- 28:47Speaker 1: and they can get you. But the whole point would
- 28:49Speaker 1: be we want to find Terry Miscavige. You know, the
- 28:53Speaker 1: guy's wife that's been missing.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Where is she? Northern California.
- 28:56Speaker 4: She's in Northern California. I've got a podcast for you. Actually,
- 28:59Speaker 4: this woman's a good podcast guest for you. Did you
- 29:01Speaker 4: ever watch the LuLaRoe documentary that was about the LuLaRoe
- 29:05Speaker 4: leggings multi-level marketing scheme?
- 29:08Speaker 3: No.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Do I need to? Yeah, you'd love it. This is
- 29:11Speaker 2: so you. I'm writing it down.
- 29:12Speaker 4: So the woman that is the main character in this,
- 29:15Speaker 4: she was a victim of the MLM, of the couple
- 29:17Speaker 4: that started LuLaRoe. She now has a podcast solely dedicated
- 29:22Speaker 4: to exposing multi-level marketing schemes and the damage that they
- 29:26Speaker 4: do to people that are on the lower level because
- 29:29Speaker 4: you have to buy in so much money and then
- 29:31Speaker 4: you lose it.
- 29:31Speaker 2: You're never going to sell your leggings.
- 29:33Speaker 4: She is now investigating Scientology and she located.
- 29:39Speaker 2: I actually.
- 29:40Speaker 4: think, I don't know if she drove up there herself
- 29:42Speaker 4: or if I think maybe it was another podcast, true
- 29:46Speaker 4: crime podcast, but apparently Sheila lives, that's her name, right?
- 29:49Speaker 2: Isn't it?
- 29:50Speaker 5: Shelly.
- 29:50Speaker 2: No, sorry.
- 29:51Speaker 6: Shelly.
- 29:51Speaker 5: Shelly.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Shelly lives in Northern California on a mountain. You're right.
- 29:55Speaker 2: It's Shelly. Shelly Miscavige.
- 29:58Speaker 4: And she is, apparently there's like security at the gate,
- 30:02Speaker 4: at this gated hilltop home. It's all Scientologists. And supposedly
- 30:07Speaker 4: that is where she is.
- 30:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:09Speaker 1: But has someone really seen her? Because wouldn't that have
- 30:11Speaker 1: been like on the cover of People?
- 30:13Speaker 4: Yeah. This is the house where Shelley... To your point, no.
- 30:17Speaker 4: I don't think anyone's physically seen her. I think they
- 30:21Speaker 4: were able to track her down by she voted a
- 30:25Speaker 4: few years ago in the state of California.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Oh, come on, Sarah. You know there's voter fraud out there.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Well, there's the voter fraud.
- 30:37Speaker 1: I'm curious if she was a Trump fan or a
- 30:39Speaker 1: Biden fan. I bet they're Trump fans, don't you think?
- 30:44Speaker 2: I mean... Who knows? I'm not going to go down
- 30:46Speaker 2: that road, I guess. All right.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Let's get into some hot topics. You covered a lot
- 30:53Speaker 1: of really good things recently, but today everyone is talking
- 30:57Speaker 1: about Taylor Swift.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Are you a Taylor Swift fan? I'm a new fan.
- 31:01Speaker 2: I went to the Heiress tour. You did?
- 31:04Speaker 5: I did.
- 31:04Speaker 2: And now I'm a fan.
- 31:06Speaker 4: I was never, I never got it.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Have you been to her concert? Have you been to it?
- 31:10Speaker 2: I have, I went broke doing it, but I did
- 31:13Speaker 2: do it.
- 31:13Speaker 1: And my daughter constantly talks to me about, she gives
- 31:16Speaker 1: me PowerPoints on why we need to go again in
- 31:19Speaker 1: Miami in October. I know every price, every seat, every
- 31:24Speaker 1: location of this Miami theater, because she brings it up
- 31:27Speaker 1: so many times. And by the way, she stayed up
- 31:29Speaker 1: all night listening or waiting for the, the the.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Album to drop or whatever. Yeah.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Fell asleep like five minutes before. And she woke up
- 31:40Speaker 1: in the middle of the night in a, in a
- 31:41Speaker 1: cold sweat. So upset that she missed the release. And
- 31:44Speaker 1: on the way to school this morning, we were listening
- 31:46Speaker 1: to it and I'm like, these songs don't sound so great.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Why? What do you think? And she turned into a
- 31:52Speaker 2: pterodactyl and was like, how could you talk like that?
- 31:55Speaker 2: This is her best album ever. So anyways, Swifties are Swifties.
- 32:00Speaker 1: And did you see what David Portnoy, speaking of him earlier,
- 32:02Speaker 1: did you see what he posted this morning?
- 32:04Speaker 4: Yes, I loved it. You and I both liked it. Basically,
- 32:07Speaker 4: there's a song because it's a double album. It was
- 32:10Speaker 4: released at 2 a.m. this morning, Tortured Poets Department. And
- 32:14Speaker 4: one of the songs is Thank You, Amy. But at
- 32:18Speaker 4: the end of Thank You or Thanks, K is capitalized
- 32:22Speaker 4: and in Amy, it's A-I-M.
- 32:23Speaker 2: So people are equating it to Kim.
- 32:25Speaker 4: And in the track, it says, I know your kids
- 32:29Speaker 4: are going to be listening to this forever.
- 32:30Speaker 2: You snake.
- 32:32Speaker 4: It doesn't say that, but it says essentially like your kids,
- 32:35Speaker 4: something like that. Your kids are going to be singing
- 32:38Speaker 4: this song forever. And I love it. Dave Portnoy came
- 32:41Speaker 4: on and he was like, Kim, you're.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Just scum and we'll never forget you.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Right. And essentially they were doing like a lock her
- 32:49Speaker 1: up chant for Kim Kardashian this morning based on David
- 32:54Speaker 1: Portnoy's assessment of the whole thing, which is hysterical.
- 32:58Speaker 2: All right. But what do you think?
- 32:59Speaker 4: Because you've been in, you know, you've been in high
- 33:01Speaker 4: profile conversations. Do you think it's getting a little desperate
- 33:05Speaker 4: that Taylor is still because this is a decade old
- 33:08Speaker 4: or getting close to a decade old feud?
- 33:10Speaker 2: When they release that. Well, I'll be honest with you.
- 33:14Speaker 1: I still am upset about something that happened to me
- 33:16Speaker 1: in eighth grade with my friends.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I remember everything that happened. I remember her name and.
- 33:20Speaker 1: I still don't like her to this day because of it.
- 33:22Speaker 1: So I get that. But I also will say that
- 33:27Speaker 1: Taylor strikes me as being a little bit immature.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I'm not saying this in a bad way. I mean,
- 33:31Speaker 2: she's young.
- 33:32Speaker 1: So she strikes me as being, you know, she's had
- 33:36Speaker 1: to be so mature in so many ways. And her
- 33:38Speaker 1: lyrics are becoming more mature. But she's used to this, like,
- 33:42Speaker 1: in all the songs we've heard in the past, it's very, like,
- 33:45Speaker 1: high school love.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean?
- 33:46Speaker 1: So I feel like... inside of her head, she might
- 33:50Speaker 1: be a little more, you know, like stuck in the past.
- 33:54Speaker 1: So it doesn't strike me that she would be stuck
- 33:56Speaker 1: in the past with that. But also a lot of
- 33:58Speaker 1: her songs are about people and things that have happened
- 34:00Speaker 1: to her and things that have like, you know, made
- 34:02Speaker 1: her write songs.
- 34:03Speaker 2: So I get it. I think it's normal.
- 34:05Speaker 1: And I think it's fun for the people that are
- 34:07Speaker 1: following this to like, you know, feud about it. And
- 34:09Speaker 1: is it about this boyfriend? Is it about Travis? Is
- 34:12Speaker 1: it about, you know, all these different things.
- 34:14Speaker 2: So I don't know. I love it. I think it's
- 34:16Speaker 2: part of her brand and I think it's fine. Okay.
- 34:18Speaker 2: What do you think? Uh, I'm beginning to like get
- 34:21Speaker 2: over it.
- 34:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I'm a little, it's like a little desperate to me.
- 34:26Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 34:26Speaker 4: I'm just saying like it, it, to me, it feels
- 34:29Speaker 4: as though we didn't want to put a Travis song
- 34:31Speaker 4: on there. Although maybe, I mean, cause I haven't had
- 34:33Speaker 4: a chance to listen to all the songs.
- 34:34Speaker 2: I mean, they're saying alchemy is about Travis. Oh, it's
- 34:37Speaker 2: about him.
- 34:38Speaker 4: Okay.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Because she has a lot of football references and touchdown
- 34:41Speaker 1: and all that kind of stuff. So we'll have to
- 34:44Speaker 1: listen later today and we should have my daughter on
- 34:46Speaker 1: to really break it down, but she's at school.
- 34:49Speaker 2: She would know.
- 34:50Speaker 4: She would know because I'm like, is this sort of
- 34:52Speaker 4: avoiding Travis? So we're going back for this decade old few.
- 34:55Speaker 4: I mean, that's a long time ago.
- 34:57Speaker 2: For that tape, but.
- 34:59Speaker 4: You know, as our friend Dave Portnoy said, Taylor did
- 35:02Speaker 4: have to go into hiding for an entire year because
- 35:05Speaker 4: of so much backlash and scrutiny.
- 35:07Speaker 2: So you make a good point.
- 35:09Speaker 4: That's not something that most people, anyone, is probably going
- 35:12Speaker 4: to just get over.
- 35:12Speaker 2: That takes a long time.
- 35:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:14Speaker 1: I mean, remember when Kanye stood up on stage and
- 35:17Speaker 1: took her award away from her and said it went
- 35:19Speaker 1: to Beyonce?
- 35:20Speaker 2: I mean, that whole.
- 35:21Speaker 1: thing of Kanye and Kim together. I just think that
- 35:25Speaker 1: probably is so like in her bones and she's probably,
- 35:28Speaker 1: it probably has not left her psyche at all. So it,
- 35:32Speaker 1: you know, yeah, she should get over it, but I
- 35:34Speaker 1: think it makes the album more exciting for, you know,
- 35:37Speaker 1: the Swifties to listen to and they always take a side.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Right. Oh, God, yeah. And they're totally Team Taylor on this.
- 35:44Speaker 2: So I take it back now. All right.
- 35:46Speaker 4: Now I feel like, okay, you know what?
- 35:49Speaker 2: It's still got some legs in it. Right. Okay.
- 35:51Speaker 1: So a lot of stuff happened in the Bravo world
- 35:54Speaker 1: in the last week or so. So I wanted to
- 35:56Speaker 1: talk to you about, because you cover so much Bravo,
- 35:58Speaker 1: and I wanted you to kind of break a lot
- 36:00Speaker 1: of this stuff down.
- 36:01Speaker 2: So I think.
- 36:02Speaker 1: First of all, it started with a lot of people
- 36:03Speaker 1: being let go. We had Anne Marie first. Then we
- 36:06Speaker 1: had Crystal. Then we had someone else, Robin Dixon. Like,
- 36:10Speaker 1: what are your thoughts on all these people getting let go?
- 36:12Speaker 1: And then also there's the rumored the rumors that Rebecca
- 36:16Speaker 1: Minkoff is now on on Roni. So like people being
- 36:19Speaker 1: let go and new people coming on.
- 36:20Speaker 2: What are your thoughts? Okay, so we had a Bravo
- 36:23Speaker 2: D-Day recently.
- 36:24Speaker 4: I mean, it was, I can't recall another day in
- 36:28Speaker 4: Bravo history where you had so much going on. And
- 36:30Speaker 4: then Candace Dillard Bassett, who already had announced her exit,
- 36:34Speaker 4: announces that she's pregnant, right?
- 36:36Speaker 2: 13 or 14 weeks pregnant.
- 36:37Speaker 4: It was a huge day. I make of it this.
- 36:42Speaker 4: Robin Dixon needed to go. I really liked Robin. You know,
- 36:46Speaker 4: I spent most of my career in D.C., so I
- 36:48Speaker 4: know all these women. I'm so thrilled because Potomac is
- 36:51Speaker 4: the only reality show ever to be successful in the D.C.
- 36:54Speaker 5: Area.
- 36:54Speaker 4: It's not a reality TV town. You know this from
- 36:58Speaker 4: high-profile people and men. People are very high-profile, very rich.
- 37:02Speaker 4: They're very powerful. They don't want to be on camera.
- 37:04Speaker 4: It's a very hard town to find talent.
- 37:08Speaker 2: So I loved that this show happened.
- 37:12Speaker 4: But Robin, whatever really did go down with Robin and
- 37:15Speaker 4: Juan in that cheating scandal, we will never know. Whatever
- 37:19Speaker 4: is out there, that is all Robin's going to give us.
- 37:21Speaker 4: So there's nothing left.
- 37:22Speaker 2: She had to go.
- 37:23Speaker 4: Glad to, you know, happy to see Robin go. We
- 37:26Speaker 4: needed to break up Robin and Giselle. I think NECA
- 37:29Speaker 4: will be fired next. That was also the rumor on Monday.
- 37:31Speaker 4: I don't see how NECA... Maybe Nneka survives. Maybe it's
- 37:35Speaker 4: a Kristal Minkoff situation where they kind of need this
- 37:38Speaker 4: sort of neutral-ish person.
- 37:42Speaker 2: But I wouldn't miss her if she were gone. Okay.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Super happy about Candice being pregnant. Congrats to her.
- 37:48Speaker 4: I think she has a career outside of Bravo, so
- 37:50Speaker 4: I think she will go on to do amazing things, acting, singing.
- 37:53Speaker 2: I think she's all good. Okay, let's get started. Are
- 37:59Speaker 2: you first-time buyers?
- 38:01Speaker 6: Yeah, it's our first time.
- 38:02Speaker 5: So....
- 38:04Speaker 6: It's your first time here?
- 38:06Speaker 7: No, it's first time buying. Did you say no for
- 38:11Speaker 7: first time buying? No, wait, hold on. Okay, please hold.
- 38:15Speaker 5: What? No, no, I told you to hold on.
- 38:19Speaker 6: You're viewing homes, not mortgage advisors. So find your nearest
- 38:23Speaker 6: branch at ebs.ie to get a dedicated mortgage person throughout
- 38:27Speaker 6: your mortgage journey. EBS, the mortgage people. Lending criteria, terms
- 38:32Speaker 6: and conditions will apply. EBS DAC is regulated by the
- 38:35Speaker 6: Central Bank of Ireland.
- 38:36Speaker 4: I've been on the fence where I thought Real Housewives
- 38:38Speaker 4: of Potomac would be cancelled, but I do think it
- 38:41Speaker 4: will continue, probably with the cast that they have. They'll
- 38:45Speaker 4: look for a couple other people and see how this
- 38:48Speaker 4: next season goes.
- 38:48Speaker 2: So I say it survives. I'm curious, do you know
- 38:51Speaker 2: what the lowest rated housewife show is? Oh, God, Miami.
- 38:55Speaker 4: I don't think anybody watched Miami. I don't even know
- 38:57Speaker 4: that Miami got 900,000 views.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Okay, so we're going to get to Miami in one second,
- 39:01Speaker 1: but I'm curious, did you ever watch The Housewives of D.C.?
- 39:05Speaker 1: It was only on one season, and now it's out
- 39:08Speaker 1: in this big vault that was released on Peacock, which
- 39:10Speaker 1: is very interesting.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Yes.
- 39:13Speaker 4: And in fact, Paul Wharton, who appeared as a friend
- 39:16Speaker 4: on that season, used to co-host the Sarah Fraser show for.
- 39:19Speaker 2: About a year. So Paul was great.
- 39:22Speaker 4: He knew all the women and Sharice was on, came
- 39:25Speaker 4: on our show. Yes. I, and I loved the Salahis.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. I thought they were so great. I
- 39:32Speaker 2: really liked that season, but that it didn't do well.
- 39:35Speaker 1: And it also didn't do well because the feds got
- 39:38Speaker 1: involved because it's because of them and Tarek and, you know,
- 39:42Speaker 1: he's actually a friend of mine. He's going to do
- 39:44Speaker 1: the show, I think, coming up soon. He lives near me.
- 39:46Speaker 1: We go out to dinner once in a while and
- 39:48Speaker 1: he is now in a completely different world, married to
- 39:50Speaker 1: a new person. you know, is heavily involved in the
- 39:53Speaker 1: polo lifestyle. So it'll be interesting. I just spoke to
- 39:57Speaker 1: him today and I asked him if he would come on.
- 39:58Speaker 1: So he's going to come on next week. So I'm
- 40:00Speaker 1: excited for that.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be a good one. Yeah. But I
- 40:05Speaker 2: thought that was a good one.
- 40:05Speaker 1: You know, I've never watched Potomac, but I, you know,
- 40:08Speaker 1: it seems like a lot of people do like it.
- 40:12Speaker 4: It was great several seasons ago when you had Monique
- 40:15Speaker 4: and you had Candace. And I think Giselle and Robin were,
- 40:20Speaker 4: maybe we just were less used to their antics, I guess.
- 40:23Speaker 4: It was good, but I do think they're struggling for
- 40:26Speaker 4: sure to find.
- 40:28Speaker 2: You know, it's hard. It's hard to find a Kyle Richards.
- 40:31Speaker 4: You know, it's hard to find an Erika Jayne, right,
- 40:34Speaker 4: where her story transcends even pop culture. You know, Tom
- 40:39Speaker 4: Girardi was such a huge attorney here in L.A. And
- 40:43Speaker 4: then he was a part of the famous Aaron Brockovich
- 40:45Speaker 4: movie that Julia Roberts wins.
- 40:47Speaker 2: An Oscar for.
- 40:47Speaker 4: I mean, it's hard to find these people that sort
- 40:51Speaker 4: of transcend pop culture and But Potomac needs that, I think.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Right. Okay.
- 40:57Speaker 1: So let's talk about Miami because you brought it up.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Alexia's divorced.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Do you care? Were you shocked? Were you as shocked
- 41:03Speaker 2: as Alexia? I know.
- 41:05Speaker 4: And I actually just read that she made another statement.
- 41:08Speaker 4: She's so thrilled that fans are on her side with
- 41:10Speaker 4: the whole Todd divorce and that she was warned by
- 41:13Speaker 4: a friend but didn't take it seriously and thought they'd
- 41:16Speaker 4: work it out. Well, first of all, I'm not a
- 41:18Speaker 4: fan of RHOM. I actually find that to be the
- 41:20Speaker 4: least interesting franchise. You know, I've heard mixed things that
- 41:24Speaker 4: Alexia knew well in advance this was coming, but I'm,
- 41:29Speaker 4: you know, I'm sure it's devastating.
- 41:30Speaker 2: I don't know her. I don't follow their storyline specifically.
- 41:34Speaker 2: So I have to.
- 41:35Speaker 1: So I think any divorce would be devastating. So that
- 41:37Speaker 1: is one that I watch probably because I live in Florida.
- 41:39Speaker 1: So I thought I'd start watching, but I only started
- 41:41Speaker 1: this past season and, you know, it was hard to watch, um, Lisa, um,
- 41:47Speaker 1: It was hard to watch her constantly talk about her
- 41:50Speaker 1: divorce from Lenny while she had some other boyfriend in
- 41:54Speaker 1: every scene with her.
- 41:55Speaker 2: It was like this poor guy.
- 41:57Speaker 1: I didn't understand why he was sticking around with her
- 41:59Speaker 1: when all she did was cry and talk about her
- 42:00Speaker 1: divorce from Lenny. And it seemed a little pathetic to me.
- 42:04Speaker 1: But I found the characters, you know, I don't know.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Some of them were really interesting. I think Gertie's kind
- 42:09Speaker 1: of interesting, obviously, what she's going through, what she went
- 42:12Speaker 1: through on the show, opening up about that. And I'll
- 42:14Speaker 1: be honest with you, I'm kind of obsessed with the
- 42:16Speaker 1: whole Larsa and Marcus thing because they were on Traders,
- 42:20Speaker 1: so I like them. And I like her, but I
- 42:23Speaker 1: just think I wish she could acknowledge how weird it
- 42:25Speaker 1: is that she's dating Michael Jordan's son. I think it
- 42:28Speaker 1: would be funnier if she was like, Yeah, that's so
- 42:31Speaker 1: fucked up.
- 42:32Speaker 7: Right.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Like, oh, my God, he must be thinking of us
- 42:34Speaker 1: at night having sex like it's too weird.
- 42:36Speaker 2: You know, whatever.
- 42:38Speaker 1: But like she makes it seem like what's the big deal?
- 42:41Speaker 1: No one talks about anyone else's, you know, father. But
- 42:45Speaker 1: it's like she's not dating, dating, you know, some guy
- 42:49Speaker 1: who works at the gas station. I mean, like we
- 42:52Speaker 1: and the dad is like nobody like that's terrible for
- 42:54Speaker 1: her to like not be connecting about that.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 42:59Speaker 4: I should get more into it because I do enjoy
- 43:01Speaker 4: the Larsa and Marcus. And speaking of podcasts, they had
- 43:05Speaker 4: a very short lived podcast that only lasted like eight
- 43:07Speaker 4: episodes and then they stopped.
- 43:09Speaker 2: I didn't listen. I don't know what they could be
- 43:10Speaker 2: talking about much.
- 43:13Speaker 4: Well, clearly they didn't know either because it couldn't get
- 43:16Speaker 4: to be fair. I mean, there are two people that
- 43:18Speaker 4: probably have a lot of money, so they're probably not
- 43:20Speaker 4: that interesting.
- 43:21Speaker 2: What incentive do they have to keep this going? What
- 43:24Speaker 2: is your favorite Bravo show?
- 43:27Speaker 4: Beverly Hills. I mean, I just, I love it. And
- 43:30Speaker 4: I loved this past season of Salt Lake.
- 43:32Speaker 2: I loved it.
- 43:34Speaker 4: I'm so sad to see Von Teese leave. I just
- 43:37Speaker 4: feel like she's great.
- 43:39Speaker 1: You know, I just feel like the casting is so
- 43:41Speaker 1: strange because you would have thought that they would have
- 43:43Speaker 1: almost forced her to be back on because it makes
- 43:45Speaker 1: for such great TV. And that's what people want to hear.
- 43:48Speaker 1: I don't think, was anyone watching Salt Lake before that?
- 43:51Speaker 1: I mean, I guess they were because of the whole
- 43:53Speaker 1: What's her name? Yeah, that was kind of interesting too.
- 43:57Speaker 1: But like, I think that it made this season really good.
- 44:00Speaker 1: It made it so great. It made it must watch TV.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Must watch.
- 44:06Speaker 4: Right.
- 44:06Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 44:07Speaker 4: There's going to be some reason that she isn't back.
- 44:11Speaker 4: I don't know if the whole story that the producers
- 44:13Speaker 4: really didn't know that she was a part of this,
- 44:15Speaker 4: but maybe that is true. And then they feel a
- 44:18Speaker 4: bit duped or that they need to cool things off.
- 44:21Speaker 4: I always feel like maybe all the other women got
- 44:23Speaker 4: together and told Bravo us or her.
- 44:26Speaker 2: I agree. Like, well, are we going to recast?
- 44:29Speaker 4: You know, I mean, there is strength in numbers. So
- 44:32Speaker 4: if they all went to Bravo and they were like, look,
- 44:34Speaker 4: we're 100% not resigning.
- 44:36Speaker 2: If you put her on, I don't know. I mean,
- 44:39Speaker 2: that would have been something. No, I get it. I
- 44:42Speaker 2: think you're right. And I do think that's what happened.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Were you upset?
- 44:46Speaker 1: You said you like Beverly Hills. Were you upset about
- 44:49Speaker 1: Crystal and Anne-Marie?
- 44:51Speaker 4: No, I would have kept Anne-Marie and I never thought
- 44:53Speaker 4: Crystal brought anything anyway.
- 44:55Speaker 2: Really?
- 44:56Speaker 1: So it's interesting, but don't you feel like it was
- 44:58Speaker 1: so evident she was trying so hard this season to
- 45:01Speaker 1: have a storyline and a voice and be.
- 45:03Speaker 2: This angry woman and stand up for herself.
- 45:06Speaker 1: So I actually was shocked when they, you know, when
- 45:09Speaker 1: she said she was leaving because I thought, oh, she
- 45:11Speaker 1: really showed up exactly how they wanted her to. And Anne-Marie,
- 45:16Speaker 1: you know, I don't know. I didn't really know what
- 45:18Speaker 1: to think of her. I didn't think she was terrible,
- 45:20Speaker 1: but I didn't think she really stood out either.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Well, Anne-Marie sort of got.
- 45:25Speaker 4: You know, Anne-Marie's whole situation got derailed because the husband, Marcus,
- 45:30Speaker 4: has been accused of— or Marcellus, sorry— has been accused of sexual
- 45:34Speaker 4: assault back when he was at Columbia by a former
- 45:38Speaker 4: student there. And so that dropped weeks before the premiere.
- 45:43Speaker 4: And a lot of people feel as though Bravo scrambled
- 45:45Speaker 4: a bit to edit out— because, you know, if you think
- 45:47Speaker 4: about it, we never really saw them interacting a lot
- 45:51Speaker 4: as a family. It was almost like one family scene.
- 45:55Speaker 4: Anne-Marie was introduced and then that was it. You know,
- 45:57Speaker 4: you didn't get a lot of character building and a
- 46:00Speaker 4: lot of people feel like that's because they had to
- 46:02Speaker 4: edit him out. They want, they didn't want a lot
- 46:04Speaker 4: of controversy and stink around that couple. So I, I,
- 46:09Speaker 4: you know, it's funny. She didn't bother me as much
- 46:11Speaker 4: as other people. I actually liked her. I really like
- 46:14Speaker 4: when super intelligent women are on and she certainly is,
- 46:18Speaker 4: even though she's not a doctor of anesthesiology.
- 46:20Speaker 2: She's a nurse of anesthesiology. You know, she's a smart cookie. Like,
- 46:24Speaker 2: I like a woman like that.
- 46:26Speaker 4: And, you know, to be fair to Crystal, maybe we
- 46:29Speaker 4: just never saw that side of Crystal. Apparently Crystal owns
- 46:32Speaker 4: a cocoa water company that does enormous.
- 46:36Speaker 2: I just don't recall them ever really.
- 46:38Speaker 4: maybe she's a fantastic business woman, but we never saw.
- 46:41Speaker 2: That with Crystal.
- 46:42Speaker 4: You always saw Crystal just, I, to me, she just
- 46:45Speaker 4: jumped on the bandwagon of anything, any line she could
- 46:48Speaker 4: get except for her own. So. Right.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Right.
- 46:51Speaker 4: Anyone care about her brother? Like if her brother's getting
- 46:53Speaker 4: married or if she's meddling in her brother, like, no, no.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Terrible. Yeah. Super boring.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Do you care about Real Housewives of New York? Do
- 47:02Speaker 1: you care about the, the rumor that Rebecca Minkoff is on?
- 47:06Speaker 2: Yes. I love it. I think it's great.
- 47:08Speaker 5: Yes.
- 47:09Speaker 4: I don't understand why she's already getting this hate just
- 47:12Speaker 4: because she's a Scientologist. And people are saying, well, she
- 47:15Speaker 4: was very close to Danny Masterson. Okay, well, is she
- 47:17Speaker 4: still close? If she's still close to him and she
- 47:19Speaker 4: doesn't believe that he really raped a woman, then that's
- 47:22Speaker 4: a problem. But have we heard that yet?
- 47:23Speaker 2: We'll have to hear her side. Maybe that's what makes
- 47:26Speaker 2: her interesting. Right?
- 47:27Speaker 4: I mean, this is just so stupid internet hate. It's
- 47:30Speaker 4: like people already... Is every Scientologist evil?
- 47:32Speaker 2: I mean, I'm a Catholic.
- 47:33Speaker 4: You know how many Catholics like help cover up these
- 47:36Speaker 4: priests molesting kids?
- 47:37Speaker 2: Is that right?
- 47:38Speaker 4: And never be on a TV show because I'm Catholic.
- 47:40Speaker 4: Like let the woman have a fucking moment.
- 47:42Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 47:42Speaker 4: Like it's just what drives me nuts about some Bravo
- 47:46Speaker 4: podcasters and just the internet in general.
- 47:49Speaker 2: It's like, give her a beat.
- 47:50Speaker 4: There's horrible people in every religion. So we're not going
- 47:53Speaker 4: to have anybody on that's part of a religion?
- 47:54Speaker 2: Like, that's so stupid. Absolutely true.
- 47:58Speaker 1: Speaking about podcasters in the Bravo world, Bethany Frankel, we
- 48:02Speaker 1: brought up earlier, is in the news today for talking
- 48:05Speaker 1: about her new podcast, which is all about her divorce,
- 48:09Speaker 1: her sex with her ex-husband, Jason, as equivalent as torture.
- 48:14Speaker 1: What are your thoughts on, first of all, Does she
- 48:18Speaker 1: have to have a podcast for every avenue of what
- 48:21Speaker 1: she wants to talk about? And do you think she's
- 48:23Speaker 1: just a total hustler and is doing this because it's
- 48:24Speaker 1: such a moneymaker and she's getting ads for each one
- 48:27Speaker 1: separately and all she cares about is her bank account?
- 48:31Speaker 1: Or don't you think she would have had to sign
- 48:33Speaker 1: an NDA with Jason? I just feel like this is
- 48:35Speaker 1: so weird. And also, I have a kid her age.
- 48:38Speaker 1: I definitely don't need to be airing my dirty laundry anymore.
- 48:42Speaker 1: about my sex life with the father of my kid.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I just think it's sort of strange. What do you think?
- 48:49Speaker 4: I'm completely with you. And you talk about, I don't
- 48:51Speaker 4: even think she needs the money. I think she is
- 48:53Speaker 4: so desperate for attention. Anything for attention. Look, Bethany, I'm
- 49:00Speaker 4: not a Bethany fan at all whatsoever. Every time I
- 49:02Speaker 4: talk about her, I get Bethany stans that give me
- 49:05Speaker 4: one-star reviews on my podcast, and I don't give a shit.
- 49:07Speaker 4: You're welcome to go do it. You all mistake me
- 49:10Speaker 4: for someone who cares. Bethany is genius in two realms. One,
- 49:15Speaker 4: if reality reckoning is such a great idea, but if
- 49:18Speaker 4: Bethany was true to that, she'd be reaching out to
- 49:20Speaker 4: other people from TLC. I do a lot of stuff
- 49:23Speaker 4: with TLC. You want to talk about underpaid? So many
- 49:25Speaker 4: of their talent. Underpaid, no benefits, no 401k, nothing. They
- 49:29Speaker 4: end up having to try to make all their money
- 49:31Speaker 4: off Cameo. She doesn't You haven't seen her parade one
- 49:34Speaker 4: TLC person out. What about VH1? What about MTV? People
- 49:38Speaker 4: that spent years. Why aren't they telling their story on
- 49:40Speaker 4: her podcast?
- 49:40Speaker 2: She doesn't care.
- 49:41Speaker 4: This is a personal vendetta against Bravo and Andy. So
- 49:45Speaker 4: that's a shame because I think she was actually on
- 49:46Speaker 4: to something.
- 49:47Speaker 2: And two, I've always.
- 49:49Speaker 4: Bethany should have a show that is just Bethany and
- 49:51Speaker 4: it's almost like Bar Rescue where she goes to businesses.
- 49:54Speaker 4: If she's such a terrific businesswoman, which she claims to be.
- 49:59Speaker 4: She should be going and going into a business and going,
- 50:01Speaker 4: you're doing that, opening their books, going, you're doing this wrong.
- 50:04Speaker 2: You're doing that. Like, wouldn't you want almost like a Tabitha?
- 50:08Speaker 4: Remember that show with Tabitha where she went into salons
- 50:10Speaker 4: and read it? Okay. It would be so epic, but
- 50:14Speaker 4: I don't think Bethany, Bethany doesn't care about other people.
- 50:17Speaker 4: It's about, has to be about Bethany. That is why
- 50:20Speaker 4: we are now getting just be divorced. And I refuse
- 50:23Speaker 4: to listen. I'm listening to Tori Spelling's misspelling because I
- 50:26Speaker 4: actually find that more fascinating. But Bethany will drudge up anything, anything.
- 50:31Speaker 4: And it's just sad because she was such a huge talent,
- 50:34Speaker 4: but I don't.
- 50:35Speaker 7: Are you learning to drive? From the 1st of November, 2026,
- 50:38Speaker 7: new rules will apply for learner permit holders. To get
- 50:42Speaker 7: a third or fourth learner permit, you must have taken
- 50:45Speaker 7: a driving test within the previous two years. After your
- 50:49Speaker 7: fourth permit, or if your permit has been expired for
- 50:52Speaker 7: more than two years, you will have to start the
- 50:54Speaker 7: learning to drive process again. Remember, you can only drive
- 50:58Speaker 7: unaccompanied if you hold a valid full driving license. Find
- 51:01Speaker 7: out more at rsa.ie, a message from the Road Safety Authority.
- 51:05Speaker 2: I don't see how you can follow her now.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Wait a minute. I didn't know about Tori Spelling. Is
- 51:10Speaker 1: she talking about why she lives in a trailer?
- 51:12Speaker 2: Yes, it is.
- 51:14Speaker 4: Treat Yourself to a Weekend. And Tori's brilliant. The episodes
- 51:17Speaker 4: are like 27 minutes.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Sweet spot. It's so good. And it is all about, she,
- 51:25Speaker 2: it's just, she.
- 51:25Speaker 4: Goes to her storage units, which by the way, she
- 51:28Speaker 4: couldn't pay the bills. So they were getting ready to
- 51:30Speaker 4: do like a storage war where they were going to
- 51:31Speaker 4: auction them off.
- 51:33Speaker 2: And then it did.
- 51:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 51:36Speaker 1: At a time in my life where I cannot pay
- 51:37Speaker 1: my bills, they auctioned off all my stuff.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Oh my God. Was anything super valuable in there? Yeah.
- 51:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 51:43Speaker 1: This is a very long time ago, but it was devastating. But,
- 51:47Speaker 1: you know, it also makes you have to start brand new.
- 51:49Speaker 1: But I still think about it to this day because
- 51:52Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, shit, that table would have looked amazing
- 51:55Speaker 1: in here. Like, I'm still not over it. Like we
- 51:57Speaker 1: were talking about the Taylor Swift thing and Kim Kardashian.
- 52:00Speaker 1: I'm not over it.
- 52:00Speaker 2: I harbor a lot of resentment about a lot of
- 52:03Speaker 2: things that happened to me. Sorry, I digress. Go on.
- 52:06Speaker 4: Actually, I kind of want to hear more about that. No,
- 52:08Speaker 4: it's a good learning lesson, right? Like it puts your
- 52:11Speaker 4: whole life in perspective.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:14Speaker 2: I love it. She goes to her storage units and
- 52:16Speaker 2: does what? Goes through them?
- 52:18Speaker 4: They cut open the locks because a friend paid the bill.
- 52:22Speaker 4: And it's actually so sad.
- 52:23Speaker 2: What's inside?
- 52:24Speaker 4: She's like, she is storing, oh my God, old papers.
- 52:29Speaker 4: And I'm not even kidding you, like Lysol disinfectant spray.
- 52:32Speaker 4: And she's like, I should have lost these storage.
- 52:36Speaker 2: I should have given them up. She goes, I can't
- 52:39Speaker 2: believe I was storing.
- 52:40Speaker 4: I'm sort of a borderline hoarder. And then she goes
- 52:42Speaker 4: into how... She, you know, her mom has not really
- 52:46Speaker 4: helped her, even though they've had hundreds of millions of dollars.
- 52:49Speaker 4: And she just never had any perspective on money. And
- 52:53Speaker 4: even though she's in her 50s, it's kind of her
- 52:55Speaker 4: Achilles heel. Like, she sucks with money.
- 52:57Speaker 2: And to this day, the.
- 52:58Speaker 4: Hardest part for her to wrap her head around is
- 53:00Speaker 4: that she's just not, like, super famous. And her dad's
- 53:04Speaker 4: not here to give her money.
- 53:05Speaker 2: It's like.
- 53:06Speaker 2: On the surface, you think, God, this is so superficial.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Like people have.
- 53:10Speaker 4: Real problems, but you know, we're all just, you're all
- 53:12Speaker 4: just victims of your own environment. So for her, that
- 53:16Speaker 4: is the, that's her ultimate low because yeah, I grew
- 53:20Speaker 4: up in this, I mean, how many, what was it?
- 53:22Speaker 4: Like 45,000 square foot mansion in Beverly Hills and.
- 53:27Speaker 2: You had drivers and chefs. And then You know, he dies,
- 53:30Speaker 2: he gives you one.
- 53:31Speaker 4: And she said when she was doing 90210, all her
- 53:33Speaker 4: castmates had investment advisors. They bought homes. They bought a
- 53:37Speaker 4: second house to invest. And she was like, I'm not
- 53:40Speaker 4: doing that shit.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Why would I do that?
- 53:42Speaker 1: I'm like a trust fund. I thought she didn't need to.
- 53:44Speaker 1: But what is the drama between her and her mom? Like,
- 53:47Speaker 1: why did the dad leave the money to the mom
- 53:50Speaker 1: thinking she'll take care of Tori?
- 53:52Speaker 2: And isn't there a brother too?
- 53:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he's amazing. He's like a spiritual counselor now. Did
- 53:58Speaker 1: they leave him any money? Did the dad leave him
- 54:00Speaker 1: any money? Or does the mom support him?
- 54:02Speaker 4: Aaron Spelling famously left both Tori and her brother just
- 54:06Speaker 4: $ 1 million each. And then the rest of the money
- 54:08Speaker 4: went to Candy.
- 54:09Speaker 2: And I don't know.
- 54:12Speaker 4: I think they are very both quiet, meaning Tori and Candy.
- 54:15Speaker 4: I think they're very quiet about their relationship.
- 54:20Speaker 2: But that's like the whole thing.
- 54:21Speaker 1: It's like, how could this woman let her daughter with
- 54:24Speaker 1: 11 and a half kids and farm animals live in
- 54:28Speaker 1: a trailer? I mean, it's so bizarre to me. I mean,
- 54:31Speaker 1: first of all, my mom would do that too. So
- 54:33Speaker 1: I get it. But, um, You know, I just think
- 54:37Speaker 1: because it's so public, you would think that she would
- 54:39Speaker 1: at least just buy her a fucking house by now.
- 54:41Speaker 1: I mean, it could be $ 500, 000. Just buy her something.
- 54:44Speaker 1: I feel bad for her. I'd love to talk to her.
- 54:46Speaker 1: I think she's very interesting. And what do you mean
- 54:48Speaker 1: she thinks she's not very famous? If anyone who doesn't
- 54:51Speaker 1: know the name Tori Spelling, I think everyone knows who
- 54:53Speaker 1: she is now. Or maybe she hasn't done anything in years.
- 54:56Speaker 1: I think, no, I think you're right. I think she
- 54:58Speaker 1: is famous, but I think the, you know, she talks about,
- 55:02Speaker 1: which is true.
- 55:03Speaker 2: I live in Los Angeles.
- 55:04Speaker 4: She talks about, look, I have five kids in the
- 55:05Speaker 4: most expensive state in the country.
- 55:08Speaker 2: What am I doing?
- 55:09Speaker 4: And I think probably because she's divorcing Dean, she can't
- 55:11Speaker 4: just move to another state. Cause I listened to the
- 55:14Speaker 4: podcast and I like to speak to her while I'm doing,
- 55:15Speaker 4: I'm like, girl, move to Arizona where it's tax friendly.
- 55:18Speaker 4: But she probably can't do that because of Dean and,
- 55:20Speaker 4: The kids have their friends here. But I will say
- 55:23Speaker 4: in defense of Candy, there was a story that came
- 55:25Speaker 4: out this week that Candy is now apparently helping her financially.
- 55:29Speaker 4: So I think, I don't know if that's true, but
- 55:33Speaker 4: I feel like it was a legitimate outlet. I can't
- 55:36Speaker 4: remember if it was people, but they caught up with
- 55:38Speaker 4: Candy Spelling and she said, yes, I am helping Tori financially.
- 55:42Speaker 4: So that could mean she's paying the gas of the trailer.
- 55:46Speaker 2: I mean, we don't know.
- 55:48Speaker 4: Or maybe just, you know, maybe she's just paying for
- 55:49Speaker 4: the grandkids, like the grandkids, but Tori's got to figure
- 55:52Speaker 4: out everything out.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, okay.
- 55:56Speaker 1: It remains to be seen, but I, I'm kind of
- 55:58Speaker 1: obsessed with that story and I'm obsessed with her and
- 56:01Speaker 1: you know, her, her other friend, Shannon it's heartbreaking watching
- 56:06Speaker 1: her go through her struggle with cancer. Have you been
- 56:09Speaker 1: watching that? She has her own podcast out now, which
- 56:13Speaker 1: do you listen to that? No, I haven't listened to
- 56:15Speaker 1: it much, but yeah, Shannon breaks my heart. It's just,
- 56:20Speaker 1: it's so hard to hear. But I think Shannon's amazing
- 56:23Speaker 1: because to.
- 56:24Speaker 4: Share your journey every step of the way inspires other people,
- 56:28Speaker 4: helps other people talk about it. Hopefully we get a
- 56:31Speaker 4: freaking cure for this damn cancer that so many young
- 56:34Speaker 4: people have.
- 56:35Speaker 2: Are getting. And it's incredible how many young people are
- 56:39Speaker 2: getting it. It's so scary. It's so sad.
- 56:41Speaker 1: It's just, you would think at this point they would
- 56:43Speaker 1: be able to come up with something. They were able
- 56:45Speaker 1: to figure out how to curb HIV. Like, you know,
- 56:48Speaker 1: so you would think by now, hopefully soon, it's just terrible.
- 56:51Speaker 2: I don't even want to talk about it actually. So, um,
- 56:54Speaker 2: I think that's what Shannon eats.
- 56:55Speaker 4: Like, you know, you know, it's my dad died of
- 56:58Speaker 4: esophageal and stomach cancer years ago when I was in
- 57:00Speaker 4: high school. Um, My mom has beat cancer twice. She's
- 57:04Speaker 4: had breast cancer and she had kidney cancer two years ago.
- 57:06Speaker 2: She had her kidney removed. Thank God we've caught it early.
- 57:10Speaker 2: But I hate it.
- 57:11Speaker 4: I think as I live with it so much, it's
- 57:13Speaker 4: like I just can't listen to it because.
- 57:16Speaker 2: I just want to keep my head in the sand
- 57:18Speaker 2: and I.
- 57:19Speaker 1: Totally understand. All right, well then let's move on. So
- 57:22Speaker 1: I want to know briefly before we end here. So
- 57:25Speaker 1: what are the things on your radar? Like what are
- 57:27Speaker 1: you following? And I know you do a lot of
- 57:29Speaker 1: like sister wife stuff and all that. So what are
- 57:32Speaker 1: the things you're obsessed with right now? Well, now I'm
- 57:34Speaker 1: obsessed with the show Seeking Sister Wife.
- 57:37Speaker 4: And tonight, Love After Lockup, I'm going to be watching
- 57:41Speaker 4: Love After Lockup for the very first time on WE tv.
- 57:45Speaker 2: Which has a new season.
- 57:46Speaker 4: And that's all about people that fall in love with
- 57:48Speaker 4: someone in jail. And then the person is getting out
- 57:50Speaker 4: and they try to navigate their lives. And of course,
- 57:52Speaker 4: most of it's extremely disastrous. So I can't wait. I'm
- 57:54Speaker 4: a first time viewer to that. But Seeking Sister Wife,
- 57:57Speaker 4: I've watched, it's in its fifth season. I mean, it's,
- 58:02Speaker 4: You can't even make it up. And I enjoy these
- 58:04Speaker 4: couples so much. They're all seeking. And the women are,
- 58:07Speaker 4: for the most part, are like leading the charge. They
- 58:10Speaker 4: are all looking to add another wife to the group.
- 58:14Speaker 2: And it is- Why?
- 58:15Speaker 4: Why?
- 58:16Speaker 3: Why?
- 58:16Speaker 2: Isn't one hard enough? I don't get it. That's what
- 58:20Speaker 2: my husband says. He's like, are you quitting? I have
- 58:22Speaker 2: all I can do to handle you. You want to
- 58:23Speaker 2: bring another woman in here? This is bananas.
- 58:28Speaker 1: It's not just about threesomes. It's about a relationship and
- 58:32Speaker 1: the whole thing.
- 58:33Speaker 2: Many believe it's a religious calling.
- 58:35Speaker 4: So one couple that people hate the most are named
- 58:38Speaker 4: Garrick and Danielle. And they both come together and they
- 58:42Speaker 4: say years ago. Do I believe the Holy Spirit had
- 58:45Speaker 4: this time on his hands? I do not. But they
- 58:47Speaker 4: claim the Holy Spirit visited them and told them they
- 58:50Speaker 4: were supposed to bring on a third wife. Now, do
- 58:52Speaker 4: you think of all the things in the world that
- 58:53Speaker 4: the Holy Spirit and Christ have to do?
- 58:54Speaker 2: They talk to them about bringing in another wife. Hell no.
- 58:58Speaker 2: You are so full of it. Like, I mean, isn't
- 59:00Speaker 2: Christ busy?
- 59:01Speaker 4: And you think he stopped to tell them to get
- 59:03Speaker 4: a third wife?
- 59:04Speaker 2: Fuck off. That's hysterical. Yeah.
- 59:07Speaker 4: But that's what they always call it. The Holy Spirit's
- 59:10Speaker 4: to us. So he is now on a mission. He
- 59:12Speaker 4: found a woman in Brazil. Danielle divorced him.
- 59:16Speaker 2: They were legally married.
- 59:17Speaker 4: Divorced him in the state of Colorado so he can
- 59:19Speaker 4: marry this woman from Brazil, Natalia, and bring her here
- 59:23Speaker 4: and she can be their third.
- 59:25Speaker 2: So it could be the three of them. Okay.
- 59:27Speaker 1: So we'll see how that happens. And what goes on
- 59:31Speaker 1: with that. That's very interesting. Now, I'm very open on
- 59:34Speaker 1: my podcast about how I'm in the dating, you know,
- 59:37Speaker 1: trying to find the one. So, you know, I love
- 59:41Speaker 1: shows like this because it always gives me hope. I'm like,
- 59:44Speaker 1: maybe I should get involved with that, you know, polygamy.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Maybe I should start writing letters to men in jails. Like, hello,
- 59:52Speaker 1: the Menendez brothers married like a couple times. I actually
- 59:55Speaker 1: tried to get the wife on my show. She hasn't
- 59:57Speaker 1: responded yet, but I find it fascinating. I want to
- 59:59Speaker 1: do an episode on what it's like to fall in
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: love with somebody in jail and how you make that work.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I had a funny conversation. I'm trying to think if
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I can say with who it was. I guess I can.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: It was with Michael Lohan and he was talking about
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: he was just here visiting and I was talking to
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: him about what it was like when he was in
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: prison years ago. We're talking in the 80s, 80s and 90s,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: whatever it was. And he was talking about how he
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: would get conjugal visits with Dina and they would have
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: sex all over the prison.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: I was like, how did that happen?
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: That seems like he's like, oh, we would go into
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: the area where the pastor does the church thing.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: We'd have sex there.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: And as soon as I got out of prison, we
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: had sex like five times.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: In the car.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: And like in the in the you know, we stopped
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: at a motel to have sex. What are you saying?
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: I found it very interesting. So it creates like a
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: big sex drive for you.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: I think it's kind of sexy, you know.
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: Oh, my God.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it is.
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: I think there is something about just hot jailbait that,
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: you know, yes, gets people going. I think you should
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: cast a wide net. Yes, you should reach out to
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: the men in jail.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know.
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: I think I'd rather be in a polygamous relationship than jail.
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: I'm just like, I don't know, white collar crime, I guess, though.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: That's fine. So maybe, all right, maybe some of the
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: guys in jail. But, you know, no hardcore. You know
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: what I'm saying?
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: No, but they're so fit. They're so fit, those guys
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: in jail, because that's all they have.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: To do, right? I mean, work out. So many hot
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: guys in jail.
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: But yeah, the polygamy, you'd be on a reality show
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: in a heartbeat or as a polygamous wife.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: Epic.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: I'm still dying to be on love is blind. I
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: still think that's such a good show.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: Do you watch it? Yeah, I do. You'd be great
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: on that too.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: They should do one for older people, you know, cause
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: everyone on it is 20 in their twenties and they
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: don't have a job. I've never understood why they don't
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: cast people with a real job because someone with money
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: is going to do better than someone who makes like
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: $ 12 an hour and you have to go live with
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: them in their studio apartment. It doesn't make any sense.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: You know, like they should cast it slightly better.
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Are there any other shows you're watching or things you
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: want us to be aware of that are hot topics.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: On your mind? I just watched, let me get the
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: accurate title.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: Did you watch on Hulu, the documentary about the fake
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: handbag business?
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: And, oh, I love it. I'm ordering a bunch of
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: fake bags.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: And now carrying a fake Chanel or a fake Dior
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: is the shadow world of counterfeit purses.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: Super fakes. I was addicted to this show.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: And you have to go on Reddit. And then you
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: have to go on this. I got to get on Reddit.
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: And you've got to go to this one link. And
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: you ask for this woman, Linda, in China. And she
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: will connect you with somebody else that's independent. And then
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: you order these fakes. And then basically what they did
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: on this Hulu special was they brought in experts. And
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: they were like, OK, tell us which one was real
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: and which one was fake.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: And it takes them a hot second. Hermes bags, all
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: this stuff. I'm like, OK. Can we get Linda's number?
- 1:02:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: Yes, I will find Linda's number for us.
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: And they said 15, 20 years ago, because I can
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: remember my, I have the sweetest gunkles. One Christmas, they
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: were so excited and they came to my house and
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: they had, they had purchased a bunch of fake Louis
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: Vuitton bags down on Canal Street.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: And they were so, they were like, guess what? You're
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: going to be decked out in Louis Vuitton. Oh my God.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: But I had never had the heart. I was like, yes,
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: thank you so much.
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: But of course, you remember like 20 years ago, you
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: would never care. You'd never be caught dead with a fake.
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: It'd be so embarrassing.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: This documentary now talks about how all these women like
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: are openly sharing like this is fake.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: This is fake.
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: And like I'm saving all this money and I'm investing
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: and this is a fake and how now it's this
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: badge of honor. And also they've gotten so good at
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: counterfeiting them that it's almost like, do you want to
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: buy the real thing?
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it is a waste of money.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I mean, I was in Paris over Christmas and I,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: you know, of course I went to all the stores
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: and went shopping. It is so expensive to get these
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: bags now. I mean, I was looking at a dog bag, okay,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: at Goyard. I mean, of course, very ridiculous rich people
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: problem stuff. It was so outrageously expensive, but it was
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: so gorgeous. I didn't, I didn't get it. But then
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: I found out that you could get these online for,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: you know, for a fraction of the cost. I mean,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: it still isn't that inexpensive. It was like $ 700 or something,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: but as opposed to 5,000 was like, okay, that makes sense.
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: It's, it's very, it's a fascinating world. I'll have to
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: look that up. Do you have any other interesting people
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: coming on your show?
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: Who's coming up?
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: A lot.
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: Well, Carlos King, who has Reality with the King podcast,
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: he's going to be on soon. I've got a dating
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: expert that is coming up on Monday, and I'm trying
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: to think of who else I'm working on. There's some
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: other TikTok people that really fascinate me that I'm working on.
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: But Um, no, I've, I've sort of had like a
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: bit of a lull in guests and I've cover a
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: lot to your, you said this before sister wives, and
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: there's a lot going on with that show because unfortunately
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: they're a polygamous family. They have 18 kids. One of
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: their sons took his own life a couple of months ago.
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: And so there's a lot of discussion of if the
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: show is going to continue. So I'm sort of wrapped
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: up in that. Um, but no, I always, you know,
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: I'm always looking for that fascinating guest. Yeah.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Do you have a bucket list of someone who you
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: really want to have on?
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Sandra Bullock is my dream.
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: Giselle Bündchen, who I need to reach out to because
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: she just did a Nourish book.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: So now is the time. OK, who else?
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: Oh, actually, I watched the Patriots documentary, so now I'm
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: less interested. But Bill Belichick used to be one of
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: my dream guests because I wanted Bill to come on
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: and talk about everything aside from football. But I actually
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: think it would be the most awful interview of all time.
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: I don't think he has anything else to say.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: So I had the guy, I actually have the book
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: right here that the show was based on. It's called
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: the dynasty. And I had the author on to talk
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: all about what it was like to make that book
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: and interact with all those people. So I haven't watched
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: the documentary much yet, but I finished the book. The
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: book is extraordinary. I should actually send it to you.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: I think you would like it.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: I'm not even a football fan.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: It was just such a good book about the people
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: involved and the stories. so many dream guests oh my
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: god Dave Portnoy is a dream guest have you uh
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: isn't he amazing.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: I love I love I love that Dave is.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: Unapologetically Dave I just I'm obsessed I want more women
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: to behave like Dave I know you know I really
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: love him I wish that he wasn't so obsessed with
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: people that were like 20 because he only hangs out
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: with like 25 year olds you know Because I'm over
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: here and I'd love to hang out with him.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: But no, I think he's so great. I love that he,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: you know, I love the whole thing with Miss Peaches. And,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: you know, he can't speak with a normal voice when
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: he's around her. I think it's super cute. You know,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: it's always this high pitched Miss Peaches. And hearing his little.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: Giggle is so cute.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: So I think people are definitely starting to like him
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: more and more, especially because of the rescuing of the
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: pit bull. And I have two pit bulls, so I
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: appreciate that. And they're both rescues. But also because of,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: you know, his rant this morning about, like we spoke
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: about with Taylor Swift. But wait, I want to go
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: back to Sisterwise for one second. I'm not going to
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: say who. I'll tell you off air. But I have
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: an exclusive coming up in a couple weeks with one
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: of the main people from the the sister wife. So
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: you're going to have to fill me in on all
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: the details with that. But yeah, I think, I think
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: that it is very interesting what's been going on with
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: that show. And I, I really don't understand it. I mean,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: I'm not having them come on to talk about the
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: show per se. I'm having them to come on to
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: talk about the reality of that life. It's fascinating. And
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: it's fascinating how they've all gone their separate ways. And
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: my biggest question is, how the hell does he support
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: all these kids?
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: What does he do? You must know.
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: Well, Cody Brown has always been in firearms. So you
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: never really see what he does, not because he's doing
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: anything illegal, but because obviously I think even though guns
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: are legal in this country, people have very hot takes
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: on if you are a gun dealer. Now, one of
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: the things that people are get upset about is he
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: often goes to gun shows, which, you know, again, is
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: legal in our country. You can resell a gun and
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: like you don't have in some states, you don't have
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: to do a deep background check on people.
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: I believe in every state now, I think you have
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: to do a background check.
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: But I think there isn't like a cross state background check.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: So like if they don't have legal issues in that state,
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: you can still still sell them the gun. So a
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: lot of people have very hot takes on him going
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: to gun shows and being like a secondhand gun dealer.
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: And I actually, and I know your audience is much
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: smarter than I am when it comes to this. I
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: actually believe there probably are states where you don't even
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: have to still do a background check.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: So people have issues with that.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Well, definitely I can understand the issues, but I still
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: just don't understand the simple logistics of how do you
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: feed four wives and 18 kids and have all these
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: big houses.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: I just don't get it.
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: Well, they make all their money now off Cameo. So
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: they've made, they've all made a lot of money.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: And now, you know... sister wives are working for the
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: money too.
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: And the kids are all grown and they talk about
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: on the first couple of seasons of the show. Cause I've,
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: I became a new fan probably three years ago, but
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: then I've gone back and watched the seasons and And
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: they talk about the first couple of seasons. They have, like,
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: no money. They had all they could do to feed
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: the kids, to make their bill payments. And the wives worked.
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: You know, Janelle always worked in accounting. Christine was the
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: stay-at-home mom. Robin never worked. But Janelle always worked. And
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: Mary ends up— she worked for several seasons. And now takes
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: over her mom's bed and breakfast. And they all now
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: sell— Well, a lot of people have controversy with this,
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: but they all sell multi-level marketing items. So they have
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: like a Plexus tea, which is the famous pink tea,
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: and they claim it is not about weight loss. It's
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: about gut health. And Janelle, this was an exclusive on
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: the Sarah Frazier show. I had listeners write to me,
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: Janelle has a coaching, motivational coaching company, and she just
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: went back to work and is seeing clients again.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: So That was fan listeners that, that brought that up.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: So yeah, they do.
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: I think now they have a lot more money and
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: they're 18 seasons in. So they certainly are probably some
- 1:10:11Speaker 4: of the highest paid talent on TLC.
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 1:10:14Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: Well, we wish them the best of luck. I mean,
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: it's obviously we can't turn.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: It's terrible what's happened to them with the child, and
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: I'm sure they're all taking it poorly. But I know
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: that I saw, I think on your feed, that Janelle
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: had gone back to work now, which is, by the way,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: always important, I think, when you've had such a tragedy
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: in your life to kind of get back to normalcy
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: and to be working.
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: So good for her.
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: Look.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: I'm sure all of them want to, you know, and
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: if we've all lost people that we were so close to,
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: whether it's friends or a sibling, you know, I'm sure
- 1:10:43Speaker 4: they want to crawl into a ball. But I mean,
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: we all know, like, you have two choices in life
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: every day, right? You can just get up and make
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: the best of what's happened and move forward and honor
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: that person.
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: Or yeah, you can let it consume you. And I
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: think it's great. You know, hopefully she can.
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: Find purpose and they can find great ways to honor
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: Garrison and.
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: Oh, it's, it's so hard.
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: And I think why so many people have very hot
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: and opinionated feelings about this, because a lot of people
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: feel like we shouldn't even talk about the sister wives
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: family right now. And I think it's because TLC, unlike Bravo,
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: there's no glitz and glam. It's really the way they
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: film it is coming in as a fly on the
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: wall into people's homes. And I think when you do that,
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: there's this more, there's this less, they're a celebrity and more,
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: they're like our neighbor.
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: That's a really good point. Yeah.
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: Yeah, people feel very protective, I think, of a lot
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: of TLC people versus Bravo. They feel like, oh, these women,
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: and I'm not saying that's right or wrong, but I
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: think that's the perception. A lot of people feel, well,
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: these Bravo women want it. They want the fame. They
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: want to be in the limelight. They're fame hungry. And
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: so let's have less empathy for them and more for
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: these people that were just kind of watching their lives unfold.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: Well, I'm so glad that you joined me here today.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: I don't want to take too much of your time
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: up anymore, but you know, I think it's obviously going
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: to be evident to my listeners. If they haven't found
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: you before, now that they found you, they're going to
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: go listen to you because what you offer is so interesting.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: You have such good takes. You're so knowledgeable on everything.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: And I cannot wait to hear more about your classes
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: that you're taking it. I was just telling you before
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: we started about how, you know, even though, again, as
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: people have been listening to my podcast and think I've
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: been doing it a long time, I really haven't. I
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: just interviewed Megan King yesterday and the whole thing fell apart.
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: My computer died. I had to finish the episode on
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: my phone.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: And then the same thing happened. It was a technical
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: difficulty thing, but it happened when I was interviewing Melissa Rivers.
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: And I thought I was going.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: To die because I was so excited that she agreed
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: to do my show. And then like the last five minutes,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, I see something blinking on my computer
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: and the whole thing died.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, how amateur of me, you know?
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: So.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: All of us have something that's terrible that's happened i
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: would love to you know share that in a in
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: a meeting with the with all of our friends about
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: the worst things that have happened but anyway and i
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: know you know and by the way you're still on
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: david's podcast um you guys share.
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: What what do you guys do with each other so
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: people can.
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: Do that too a pod swap and i'll talk about
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: this too when you come on the course because our
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: pod swap's worth it we'll we'll do a deep dive
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: into that but um We do every week, we do
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: two episodes together and we simultaneously release them on the
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: Sarah Frazier show or behind the velvet rope. You can
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: get it either place and it's all Bravo. So most
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: of the time I just talk to whoever I damn
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: well please and talk about TLC stuff in my own life.
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: But two days a week we team up and we
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: do deep dives into the Bravo gossip of the week.
- 1:13:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: And it's so good because then you can hear everything
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: and you guys have such good chemistry together too.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: So we get on, David's a trip, but we get
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: on well. Yes.
