A cold case from 2004 just got a major breakthrough: seventeen-year-old Daniel Medina, fatally shot in La Quinta, has finally been linked to a suspect. After 22 years, Riverside County Sheriff’s Office reopened the investigation, uncovering new evidence that led to the arrest of 40-year-old Eddie Zazueta of Bermuda Dunes — who was 18 at the time of the shooting.
