- 0:02Happy Monday morning, everybody. I finally got that face of mine
- 0:07all shaved up. It was a wild week and weekend.
- 0:14OK, man, we got breaking news in the garage area.
- 0:19And as the mayor of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, I'm happy to
- 0:25announce this. As you all know, I have the most
- 0:30starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at 547 starts.
- 0:37Now let me get my butt off of the couch here and show you what
- 0:43NASCAR gave me to document that. Now we're getting ready to do
- 0:48Herman Schrader. Let's go into the the office.
- 0:52Yes, Siri. So this is what NASCAR gave me.
- 0:57There it is, 547 NASCAR Xfinity Series.
- 1:04Now, as you all know, it was the NASCAR Bush series, right?
- 1:11You all argue with me, Herman. It, it was the Bush Series.
- 1:15I said hold on, you forgot about the NASCAR Nationwide Series and
- 1:22right now it's the NASCAR Xfinity Series, but we're
- 1:27getting ready to go to 1/4 sponsor.
- 1:31It will no longer next year, 2026, it will no longer be
- 1:37called the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
- 1:41Drum roll, please, from the mayor.
- 1:45I am the mayor of the NASCAR Xfinity Series because as I just
- 1:48showed you, I have the most starts at 547.
- 1:54Ladies and gentlemen, starting next year, the new name will be
- 1:58called NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series.
- 2:05You know what I hear, don't you? O'Reilly Auto Parts.
- 2:15Oh God, they got the best Jingle.
- 2:19They got the best Jingle. I think people are going to go
- 2:22around NASCAR happier because you're going to hear everybody
- 2:26going O'Reilly auto parts. Well, it's good to see.
- 2:37It's good to see the sponsor continue to get, you know,
- 2:43people that want them that that's the way I look at it.
- 2:47I look at it as, hey, the Bush series was great.
- 2:51Bush beer Bush head for the mountains of Bush.
- 2:58Then of course we had Nationwide.
- 3:01Nationwide is on your side. And then of course the third one
- 3:07made sense. Xfinity, you know the wires, the
- 3:11cell phones and now the auto parts.
- 3:15I must say that the NASCAR Xfinity Series as we know it
- 3:20right now has had a pretty good run with well known sponsors.
- 3:23So I'm a Missouri boy, I'm from St.
- 3:27Louis, MO, I was raised, I was raised in Rolla, MO, which is
- 3:31close to Springfield. And I don't know why, but I
- 3:35always, I always think O'Reilly Auto Parts is like a
- 3:38Springfield, MO thing. I don't know where they're from.
- 3:41Respond right here. Where is O'Reilly Auto Parts
- 3:44from? So congratulations from the
- 3:48mayor to all the executives down there in Daytona.
- 3:54O'Reilly Auto Parts I can see my timeline right now.
- 4:01Damn it, Wallace, you got that in my head.
- 4:04That's what it's going to be like.
- 4:06But there'll be people walking around the pits next year.
- 4:08O'Reilly Auto Parts All right, well, congratulations to NASCAR.
- 4:17OK, one more drink. This one's going to be about
- 4:20Dale Earnhardt Junior and it's a good one.
- 4:27So Dale Earnhardt Junior ran Anderson SC in the CARS Tour
- 4:34series and I'm going to tell you everything he said on his
- 4:39interview and I really liked it. It's a good interview.
- 4:42Schrader and I will talk about it today on Herman Schrader.
- 4:45But basically Dale Junior said, look, I really love this series.
- 4:51It means everything to me and I only want to run about four
- 4:57races a year. It's a big deal, He says.
- 5:00I just this series means so much to me.
- 5:02He said it's very emotional for him.
- 5:06I know what he's talking about. You know, a couple of years ago,
- 5:10Brother Rusty went with me to Volusia and I started getting
- 5:13all choked up because the year before I didn't go to Volusia.
- 5:18But I know there's a time where it's all got to stop, right?
- 5:23I know that there'll be a day where it's there's an end.
- 5:27So I could really relate with a very emotional Dale Junior after
- 5:32the Anderson Cars Tour race. He says, you know, for example,
- 5:36he says Amy Earnhardt's wife and children, they're down in Texas
- 5:41with their grandpa. Big birthday party.
- 5:44He just turned 90 years old. You know, he's Dale Junior.
- 5:48Spent his whole life racing. Dale Junior's a family man.
- 5:51He loves his children. Now there are some race car
- 5:55drivers that think it's all about them and they don't drop
- 5:59everything they're doing for their children.
- 6:02One thing I admire about Dale and our junior is he's a lot
- 6:05like me. We drop everything we're doing
- 6:08for our kids. I promised my family that I
- 6:12would never leave or I would never miss a grandbaby's
- 6:15birthday party again. I got those birthday parties for
- 6:19them grandbabies marked all over every calendar I got.
- 6:23So Dale Junior, I tell you what, he almost choked up.
- 6:28He says, You know, I do want to run four of these Cars Tour
- 6:32races a year, but I really do feel bad missing Amy's grandpa's
- 6:3790th birthday party. And with that, he said, and this
- 6:42is the key right here, he says when I do choose my Cars Tour
- 6:51races next time, he says 4 would be at 4A year.
- 6:57He said it's going to have to be during the cool time of the
- 7:01season. He said that he can't handle
- 7:05this heat no more. You know, Junior's 50 years old
- 7:09and you know me, I'm running that old dirt car and I don't
- 7:12got no windshields. The wind's coming in and I never
- 7:17really looked at it that way. But how lucky I am as an old man
- 7:20to be running that dirt car and have all that wind coming in.
- 7:24Two years ago, Dale Junior asked me to run a Cars Tour race at
- 7:28South Boston, and I did. And listen, I ran as good as I
- 7:32could and I looked good and I ran good, but I was so hot.
- 7:37I was like a drained wet noodle. So I'm here to confirm what Dale
- 7:42Junior is is telling you all. When you get older, I don't care
- 7:46what type of shape you're in, God made you this way.
- 7:49It gets in hot in those late model stock cars.
- 7:54The headers run under the cars out the door or wherever they're
- 7:56going to run. Dale Junior said there was a
- 7:59caution with 25 laps to go. He said, I don't think I'm going
- 8:03to make it. I think I'm going to have to
- 8:04pull in because when you sit there or you go slow, there's
- 8:09less wind coming in the car. So Dale Junior, I'm with you
- 8:13buddy. If you're going to if you're
- 8:15going to go cars to a race, and I agree with you, great
- 8:18decision. Pick some races early in the
- 8:20year, you know, April, March, April, May and then for sure
- 8:29towards the end of the year. I know when you asked me to run
- 8:32those races, I think I, I think I ran at the end of the year,
- 8:36Coach 600. But buddy, I was still hotter
- 8:39than some bitch. I think I did OK though.
- 8:42I think I ran a race up there at New River Valley.
- 8:47I forgot, but man, I was hot. So I get it.
- 8:51Keep it up, Dale Junior, no matter how you run, buddy.
- 8:57I, I know, I know what I'm going to say ain't going to make you
- 8:59feel any better, but those fans just love you.
- 9:04You've already done everything it takes.
- 9:07Listen, we're not going to get better the older we get.
- 9:11Except for me, I'm the greatest of all time.
- 9:17I had to do that. I had to do that.
- 9:23Dale Junior, we love you. And if you, if you want to show
- 9:26up 4 * a year at any cars to our race, then fans don't care how
- 9:30you run. They love you and you're an
- 9:33ambassador to that series. You're keeping it going.
- 9:37That series would be dead without you, no doubt in my
- 9:41mind. And I know Jeff Burton and I
- 9:43know you know Kevin Harvick and Justin Marks, I know they're all
- 9:47involved. But buddy, you've kept it alive
- 9:50down there and you deserve to stay cool and cold 'cause we're
- 9:55getting older. We need to we need, we need a
- 9:58little air blowing on us. All right, everybody.
- 10:02Well, congratulations to O'Reilly Auto Parts and Dale
- 10:09Junior. You stay cool, buddy.
- 10:12Have a great Monday everyone.
