- 0:02Speaker 1: in fact, the senior Associate Commissioner of the Big East
- 0:05Speaker 1: outside of the Garden. This's why I come around. You
- 0:07Speaker 1: never know who's gonna find in the streets in New York.
- 0:09Speaker 1: How's tournament gone so far?
- 0:10Speaker 2: In your eyes? Dan, it's been great, great crowds, great games,
- 0:15Speaker 2: protaly competitive. Tonight should be amazing with the double hight
- 0:19Speaker 2: or some semifinals and afford to closing it out and
- 0:23Speaker 2: a great way.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Well, you know, Saint John's really made this whole city proud,
- 0:27Speaker 1: has made the Big East proud as well?
- 0:29Speaker 2: Or what sure? To have a team ranked that high?
- 0:32Speaker 2: All of our teams make us proud. It's been special
- 0:35Speaker 2: Dave accomplish this year. I'm the coach Bettino, and I
- 0:39Speaker 2: know they have great aspirations not only here but in
- 0:41Speaker 2: March in the ANCIL tournament as well.
- 0:44Speaker 1: And as a member of the Big East. I mean
- 0:48Speaker 1: your thoughts on the their rise from last year to
- 0:50Speaker 1: this year.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Well, I don't think that coach Bettina suddenly learned how
- 0:57Speaker 2: to coach for New He's an outstanding coach. He changed
- 1:01Speaker 2: the roster to something that he was more comfortable with
- 1:04Speaker 2: in terms of physicality of athleticism. And you can see that,
- 1:09Speaker 2: and you're Toby and his coaching with really talented. It's
- 1:12Speaker 2: a really good character that it's a great recipe for success.
- 1:15Speaker 1: One last thing I can't not mention Luke carna Second,
- 1:18Speaker 1: did you ever get a chance to meet him while
- 1:19Speaker 1: he was on this earth?
- 1:21Speaker 2: I was in his presence. I didn't know Krs karnasecond
- 1:24Speaker 2: very well and we might have shaken hands over the years,
- 1:27Speaker 2: but but no, I didn't have any kind of relationship
- 1:30Speaker 2: with him. But I greatly revered and respected coach Carnseca.
- 1:34Speaker 2: There's a lot of coaches that had great success in
- 1:37Speaker 2: college basketball that weren't uh, they weren't liked and loved
- 1:40Speaker 2: and respected in the same way. So he seemed to
- 1:43Speaker 2: be able to accomplish all those things. But nobody really
- 1:46Speaker 2: had a bad thing to say about him as a person.
- 1:49Speaker 2: And it's it's great when guys that got win all right.
- 1:52Speaker 1: One other team I can't not mention is Yukon. I mean,
- 1:54Speaker 1: they are gearing up for a three p run at
- 1:56Speaker 1: this Can they do it? I mean they've better a
- 1:58Speaker 1: struggling year to somewhat right. Can they win it all,
- 2:02Speaker 1: can they win it again?
- 2:03Speaker 2: So they till they all. There's no back to back champions.
- 2:06Speaker 1: And Hurley is quite the coach.
- 2:07Speaker 2: He certainly is. He's doing a great job all right.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Well, thanks so much then, nice to meet you today.
