- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back, everybody to another steamy edition of Stay Out
- 0:06Speaker 1: of My Fridge. The voice you're hearing, it's me, it's man,
- 0:08Speaker 1: it's Beard Laws And with the ever revolving co hosts,
- 0:10Speaker 1: you're probably thinking, who's here today? So I'm gonna have
- 0:12Speaker 1: everybody take a guess who's here? Three two one, there's
- 0:15Speaker 1: your guess is.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Because it is Ilah and Avery.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Oh they're back in it and burn La the dog
- 0:23Speaker 1: is in the studio today. Chilling's been a long time
- 0:26Speaker 1: since he has been in a studio, and obviously we're
- 0:30Speaker 1: in the kitchen studio, which you guys digging the kitchen
- 0:32Speaker 1: set up a little.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Bit him like Chilling us only recording.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Well, you didn't used to record, so no, but yeah,
- 0:41Speaker 1: he used to chill with me during recordings. For sure.
- 0:44Speaker 1: You're new to this and don't come over here like
- 0:46Speaker 1: you're a seasoned veteran already. You're you guys are getting
- 0:49Speaker 1: better though. This is still fun for you. Yeah, obviously,
- 0:52Speaker 1: you know stay out of my fridge. I figured, you know,
- 0:54Speaker 1: when the fridge is full. Stories are a little bit
- 0:57Speaker 1: fresher than her. She's chocolate and the panther is always
- 1:00Speaker 1: a little bit nutty. Right, Do you know what I
- 1:03Speaker 1: mean by that? Or no?
- 1:04Speaker 2: Yeah, what Harshey bars?
- 1:07Speaker 1: That's all you heard was Hershey bars. No, what I'm
- 1:09Speaker 1: saying is when the fridge is full, when we have
- 1:12Speaker 1: lots of food and everybody's got a you know, full belly,
- 1:15Speaker 1: everybody seems a little bit happier in this house. Nobody's angry,
- 1:19Speaker 1: and the conversation is a little bit fresher. It's good
- 1:22Speaker 1: like that fresh Hershey chocolate that we had in there.
- 1:25Speaker 1: And obviously Avery's in the house fresh off a girl's trip,
- 1:29Speaker 1: and so is Island. The guys had a girl's today.
- 1:30Speaker 1: We're going to talk about in this a little bit
- 1:31Speaker 1: of a conversation. Avery never got to do her recap
- 1:34Speaker 1: of Hershey, so we're gonna get her a little bit
- 1:36Speaker 1: of the Hershey trip. Had another softball tournament that had
- 1:41Speaker 1: more plot twist than a Netflix drama or a YouTube
- 1:44Speaker 1: video and hopefully a whole lot laughs. So what do
- 1:48Speaker 1: you think should we jump right into Avery's recap? Because
- 1:51Speaker 1: we did do Ili's and we had a we had
- 1:53Speaker 1: Meg from the Your Town podcast on last week. So
- 1:56Speaker 1: all right, Avery, let's let's start from the tippity top.
- 1:59Speaker 1: How was the car very long and hot. Oh my gosh,
- 2:04Speaker 1: all right, when you survive? Right, Yes, I do want
- 2:06Speaker 1: to apologize everybody that is having to watch this video
- 2:10Speaker 1: if it looks like I'm sweating. I did do a
- 2:12Speaker 1: couple of miles, and then I decided it was a
- 2:14Speaker 1: great idea, and we're in a heat advisory to then
- 2:16Speaker 1: sit in a sauna and then and I just can't
- 2:18Speaker 1: stop sweating, so if I'm fogged up on my glasses,
- 2:21Speaker 1: that's why. Back to the hot long truck trip. That's it.
- 2:26Speaker 1: It's not long. Yeah, okay, fair enough. And then we
- 2:33Speaker 1: went to after that once't you walk us through it
- 2:37Speaker 1: all right?
- 2:38Speaker 3: After we got out of the car, we went into
- 2:42Speaker 3: our hotel yep, sure did. And we went up to
- 2:45Speaker 3: the hotel room, got everything set and then I don't
- 2:49Speaker 3: wanted to go to the pool, so we had to
- 2:51Speaker 3: go to the pool, but I didn't swim mm hmm.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Then we had to go back to the room and
- 2:59Speaker 3: just we just hanged out. I think we hung out,
- 3:03Speaker 3: hung out.
- 3:04Speaker 1: We go back to English place. We hanged out.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Well English was my first period, so all right, so
- 3:09Speaker 3: there you go. And then for dinner we got raisin canes.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Yes, we did it. Over righted. No, we didn't talk
- 3:18Speaker 1: about raisin kines on the last week, did we. All right,
- 3:20Speaker 1: let's let's talk about it. Avery's because you were pretty
- 3:23Speaker 1: pumped about this, I think more than anybody, am I? Am?
- 3:25Speaker 1: I right in saying that island? Yes, okay, well when
- 3:27Speaker 1: you talk, yes, it's just easier because you were doing
- 3:31Speaker 1: and I'm just making fun of her because she was
- 3:33Speaker 1: doing a mic test. She was trying to be a
- 3:35Speaker 1: fist lengths away from the microphone. Great etiquette. So Avery
- 3:38Speaker 1: was pretty excited about this. And why were you so
- 3:41Speaker 1: excited to try raisin canes?
- 3:43Speaker 3: Because on TikTok is a viral right now and it
- 3:46Speaker 3: sounded really good because everybody eating it just makes me
- 3:49Speaker 3: want it even more.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Okay, So we decided, all right, let's find one. There
- 3:54Speaker 1: was one like twelve to fourteen minutes away. Avery, Meg myself.
- 3:58Speaker 1: We jump in the truck and we say, let's go.
- 4:00Speaker 1: We put the order on the phone and all they
- 4:03Speaker 1: sell is chicken tenders. You either get three chicken tenders,
- 4:05Speaker 1: creak a cup fries and.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Their Texas test and their sauce if you.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Get the combo, or you can get the sandwich. So
- 4:11Speaker 1: they just take the same chicken tenders put it in
- 4:13Speaker 1: a bun. We all decided to get the combo. I
- 4:17Speaker 1: got the kid's meal.
- 4:18Speaker 2: It was so good.
- 4:19Speaker 1: They were not there yet. Okay, So we get in
- 4:23Speaker 1: the vehicle, we put the order in. Now that the
- 4:25Speaker 1: order is in, Avery's excited. She said, I'm gonna make
- 4:27Speaker 1: a little TikTok and I said, you know what, I'm
- 4:29Speaker 1: gonna do a TikTok as well. We'll see who gets
- 4:30Speaker 1: more views.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Who ended up getting more views because he doesn't have
- 4:35Speaker 2: a private accountic guy there, That.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Is very true. That is very true. And we rolled
- 4:41Speaker 1: down there, she's doing some footage and then we roll in. Avery,
- 4:44Speaker 1: I want you to to explain to everybody how you're
- 4:47Speaker 1: feeling when we roll into the parking lot.
- 4:50Speaker 2: So excited. Busy there, huh, it's so busy. And it's
- 4:54Speaker 2: hot in there.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Pretty hot, yeap. And we had everything but a drink.
- 4:58Speaker 2: I believe in manade was missing.
- 5:01Speaker 1: We're missing a lemonade. We get the food, we get back,
- 5:04Speaker 1: she's excited. We all sit down. Avery. You take that
- 5:07Speaker 1: first bite.
- 5:09Speaker 2: It was so good, it was.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I loved you take that first bite. It was so good.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I'm like the best chicken tenders I've ever had.
- 5:16Speaker 1: What made it the best chicken tenders you've ever had?
- 5:20Speaker 2: Weren't they crunchy? They I don't like.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I very dislike crunchy, crunchy chicken tenders, and anyways, so
- 5:34Speaker 3: they weren't too crunchy, but they weren't too like, not crunchy,
- 5:38Speaker 3: and I thought they were just perfect. And the breading
- 5:41Speaker 3: was like flaky breading, and it just tastes so good.
- 5:44Speaker 3: And the sauce was so good. It was mayonnaise bait,
- 5:49Speaker 3: mayonnaise based.
- 5:51Speaker 1: You need, I know. And but the thing that I
- 5:56Speaker 1: don't like about is, ever since you've had Raising Canes,
- 5:57Speaker 1: you then have developed a slight Southern accent in a lisp,
- 6:00Speaker 1: So no more Raising Canes for you. You guys really
- 6:04Speaker 1: liked it, And I honestly think if I was to
- 6:06Speaker 1: take Raising Kings put it to comparable chicken tenders, do
- 6:10Speaker 1: a blind taste test, you would not pick Raising Canes
- 6:12Speaker 1: to be the best chicken tenders out there. I personally
- 6:14Speaker 1: think they were good, but I and I didn't really
- 6:18Speaker 1: see the hype as much. Obviously a different side of tiktoks.
- 6:21Speaker 1: And then I don't think it was that great. I
- 6:23Speaker 1: thought the sauce was good. I love crinkle cup fries.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I thought that was fantastic. The chicken was good, but
- 6:27Speaker 1: it wasn't the best chicken I've ever had. I'm not
- 6:29Speaker 1: gonna lie to you. I would rather go to Buffalo
- 6:31Speaker 1: Wild Wings and get their chicken tenders or their boneless wings.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Some people call them boneless wings. I call them chicken
- 6:37Speaker 1: tenders personally than raising Canes.
- 6:41Speaker 2: You just like Buffalo Wild Wings because you just like.
- 6:44Speaker 1: The environment, obviously, But I'm being real on a food review.
- 6:48Speaker 1: It's more my style. Liked it, Like I said, it
- 6:51Speaker 1: was good. I just think that you hyped it up
- 6:53Speaker 1: to be so amazing that it just wasn't up to
- 6:57Speaker 1: the hype.
- 6:57Speaker 2: For me, personally, I have every single how can we go?
- 7:00Speaker 2: You're like the wild Is there a buffalo?
- 7:05Speaker 1: My voice sounds like.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Dooble wild one's near here? Yeah, we're going there.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Going dinner, feed a family for like twelve blocks of five.
- 7:17Speaker 1: That's a heck of a deal, you guys, am I wrong,
- 7:20Speaker 1: No exactly how It wasn't like that for Raisin Canes
- 7:25Speaker 1: burn close enough, all right, So you guys like Raisin
- 7:27Speaker 1: Kane Sissy liked it. Make thought it was overrated a
- 7:29Speaker 1: little bit, I think as well, right she was.
- 7:32Speaker 2: She liked it.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I didn't say I didn't like it overrated, all right,
- 7:35Speaker 1: So Raisin kines. And then we get to Hershey, we're
- 7:38Speaker 1: rolling in, we start seeing the big rides. I think
- 7:42Speaker 1: the nerves settled in for you two, not me a
- 7:45Speaker 1: little bit. You started seeing roller corods and stuff. Didn't
- 7:48Speaker 1: get a little bit nervous.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Oh, we were rolling in like they were driving in,
- 7:52Speaker 2: and I saw the big ones and I'm like.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Yeah, you were terrified. Then we get in there and
- 7:57Speaker 1: we already kind of talked about this. Sissy and Meg
- 8:00Speaker 1: went and did the candemonium and then we waited in
- 8:02Speaker 1: the line for the gate to open, and then we
- 8:04Speaker 1: went down the Tilt the World, and she was terrified.
- 8:06Speaker 1: And then we got on the culture. I want to
- 8:07Speaker 1: hear your take on the roller coaster that she was
- 8:09Speaker 1: absolutely terrified about.
- 8:11Speaker 3: So we get on it and it starts going slow,
- 8:15Speaker 3: and then it gets to like we go up the
- 8:17Speaker 3: hill and then we just dropped down the hill, go
- 8:20Speaker 3: back up, and then it just when you're you're going
- 8:23Speaker 3: so fast and there's a bunch of like sharp turns,
- 8:26Speaker 3: and when you're going on those sharp turns, it feels
- 8:29Speaker 3: and looks like you're going to fly off of the edge.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Yes, did you come off the seat a little bit
- 8:34Speaker 1: like she did?
- 8:34Speaker 3: Or no, I own, But me and Low also had
- 8:36Speaker 3: the same size, so it was both pressed down the
- 8:39Speaker 3: same on us.
- 8:40Speaker 1: And you were in the same cart as them. Were
- 8:42Speaker 1: you guys in the front of the back?
- 8:43Speaker 3: Me and Low were in the back, I mean the
- 8:45Speaker 3: front and they were in the back. That is a
- 8:47Speaker 3: great thing for me.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Being in the front. You can see everything.
- 8:53Speaker 1: So on the scary scale, was a fairly scary. Did
- 8:55Speaker 1: I have a little bit of a right to be like? Yeah,
- 8:57Speaker 1: it was kind of scary.
- 8:59Speaker 2: It was scared, but it wasn't that bad. In the
- 9:02Speaker 2: picture you were going because you're supposed to scream on past, it's.
- 9:05Speaker 1: True and put your hands up. None, you guys did that.
- 9:07Speaker 2: You were not doing that. You were like in a
- 9:09Speaker 2: terrified way. I only held this thing on the really
- 9:13Speaker 2: sharp turns. That's where they took the pictures. And my
- 9:17Speaker 2: sister's gone.
- 9:18Speaker 1: She's going all smiles, big smiles.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Actually, no, me and you wasn't open. And Mom's gone, yeah,
- 9:26Speaker 3: Meg holding, I go down.
- 9:28Speaker 1: So we got through that and we told them that
- 9:31Speaker 1: then Sissy would make it some coasters, we hit the
- 9:33Speaker 1: water ride, stuffing like that. So the whole day, what
- 9:36Speaker 1: are a couple of things that you really really liked
- 9:37Speaker 1: and a couple of things that you were.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Just like, I really really liked the water coaster.
- 9:43Speaker 1: M hm, that was fun. Ila would not have liked it, no, no,
- 9:46Speaker 1: but it would have been fun to put her on it. Yes, okay.
- 9:50Speaker 1: And then you said that you really liked the water
- 9:52Speaker 1: ride race. Sorry, yeah, you And that's fine. We didn't
- 9:57Speaker 1: get to do that. And then you guys went to
- 9:59Speaker 1: go do the Lazy River. That was, but the Lazy
- 10:02Speaker 1: River then get shut down by the time they went there.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Do you want to describe the water race ride for?
- 10:07Speaker 2: So you walk up a million flights of stairs, not.
- 10:11Speaker 1: A million, probably a couple hundred.
- 10:12Speaker 2: And they're carrying a matt.
- 10:17Speaker 3: You're carrying this like blue like Matt, yeah, Matt thing,
- 10:22Speaker 3: and like it lips up at the top and there's
- 10:25Speaker 3: handles underneath and you hold it and lay on your stomach,
- 10:29Speaker 3: your belly. And so there's eight race, seven racers, and
- 10:34Speaker 3: they line you all up and well, first you tell
- 10:38Speaker 3: them how many you want to race with. It was
- 10:41Speaker 3: just me in love. So we got in the first
- 10:42Speaker 3: ride that we got to the top because there was
- 10:45Speaker 3: two left open.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Al wait ten minutes, you think, yeah, it was.
- 10:48Speaker 2: It wasn't bad because it goes quick because there's so many.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Five people, six people or eight people.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Right, seven people, seven people at a time, so it
- 10:56Speaker 3: goes fairly quick.
- 10:58Speaker 1: And so have three races, one by how many people
- 11:00Speaker 1: would go. So if there was three races, how many
- 11:03Speaker 1: people would get to right?
- 11:05Speaker 2: That was quick. I probably would have got it if
- 11:08Speaker 2: I got like a few seconds to process it. She's
- 11:12Speaker 2: just like twenty one okay.
- 11:15Speaker 3: And you get on it and they just say are
- 11:16Speaker 3: you ready? And we all say yes, and then they
- 11:18Speaker 3: start the timer and I didn't know to look at
- 11:20Speaker 3: the circle above it, so I was waiting for them
- 11:23Speaker 3: to say go, and then I just saw everybody else
- 11:24Speaker 3: jumping in their slide. So now I jumped in my side.
- 11:28Speaker 3: I got third.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Though, imagine if you would have went out the jump,
- 11:30Speaker 1: imagine you could have won. Yeah, So what was those
- 11:35Speaker 1: the top things you think for your for you those
- 11:37Speaker 1: two water rides are like if somebody was to go
- 11:39Speaker 1: to hershey, what would you recommend them that they have
- 11:42Speaker 1: to try and then some stuff They were like, did
- 11:44Speaker 1: we do anything that you didn't really like? Or were
- 11:45Speaker 1: they all pretty cool? I may think Jesus, is that
- 11:48Speaker 1: what that smell is is that her brain either.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Going to see her faces.
- 11:51Speaker 1: You know they can't see you, right?
- 11:53Speaker 2: You make the face go?
- 11:56Speaker 1: Am I doing it right?
- 11:57Speaker 2: Yeah? Perfect?
- 11:58Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I didn't really like to carousel because it goes so slow.
- 12:02Speaker 2: That's fun. I think we all did it, and I
- 12:04Speaker 2: think for little kids.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I mean, it's just a family thing where you can
- 12:07Speaker 1: all just get in there. It reminds me to carossel
- 12:11Speaker 1: Mom Syracuse. It's just a vengeance thing. It's not supposed
- 12:13Speaker 1: to be like a crazy ride. It's just a fun
- 12:14Speaker 1: little thing.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Of course, mine landed. I thought if it was a
- 12:17Speaker 2: short one it would land at the at the bottom.
- 12:20Speaker 2: It went as high as it possibly could.
- 12:21Speaker 1: At it stopped. Please talking to the mic buddy.
- 12:25Speaker 2: When a high as it could when it stopped.
- 12:27Speaker 1: That was funny because you didn't listen and I went
- 12:30Speaker 1: to the outside one that you were supposed to go on,
- 12:32Speaker 1: and it didn't move at all.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I like when it moves, I know, And.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Then it left it there, So I should have just
- 12:38Speaker 1: left you there and then you could went for another ride.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Bumper cars was kind of fun. Islo were in one.
- 12:44Speaker 1: They tried to sneak away.
- 12:45Speaker 2: And yeah, they went to the furthest cart that was
- 12:48Speaker 2: opened away from and I.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Kept saying one way or another, I'm gonna find you.
- 12:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna get your good.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Yeah me low and really stopping together. And then they
- 13:03Speaker 3: were all the way up and lame. There was a
- 13:08Speaker 3: car right in front of us that was open, I know, and.
- 13:10Speaker 1: They went way away from us. Yes, thankfully, we're smart
- 13:15Speaker 1: enough to scoot around. There's about third, what twenty cars? Yeah,
- 13:18Speaker 1: and there was a fourteen car pile up.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Who's driving?
- 13:21Speaker 1: You are?
- 13:22Speaker 2: We all had our own Oh sorry, I did not
- 13:24Speaker 2: mean that.
- 13:25Speaker 1: It's okay, excellently all right. So fresh chocolate. We got
- 13:29Speaker 1: some fresh chocolate there that we really liked. Any touristy
- 13:33Speaker 1: thing that you kind of did that made you feel
- 13:36Speaker 1: like a total tourist.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Is like it's like when you.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Visit somewhere and you do something that people locally wouldn't do.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Like if people were to come where we live, they
- 13:48Speaker 1: would want to go to the Canadian Bridge, they want
- 13:51Speaker 1: to get down the river, they want to do a
- 13:52Speaker 1: whole bunch of stuff that we don't really do. So
- 13:54Speaker 1: never mind, I'll explain. There was it. What do you
- 13:56Speaker 1: think the funniest moment.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Of the day was when? Oh, it was it?
- 14:00Speaker 1: I don't know, you tell me.
- 14:02Speaker 3: When was on the Total World, just sitting there and
- 14:05Speaker 3: she was like and she would open her eyes and
- 14:07Speaker 3: then it would start spinning, and she goes, and close
- 14:11Speaker 3: your eyes. And then when we got off of it,
- 14:14Speaker 3: she goes, I want to go again.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and we're like, no, we got too many things
- 14:17Speaker 1: to do and see before.
- 14:18Speaker 2: The storm he said we would go before we would go.
- 14:21Speaker 2: When we left, yeah, well.
- 14:22Speaker 1: We ended up seeing the Sea Lion show and then
- 14:25Speaker 1: we ended up getting on the swings and then we
- 14:27Speaker 1: ended up getting on this and then swings were so fun.
- 14:31Speaker 1: So well, just because I said, I said, maybe we'll try.
- 14:35Speaker 2: To get that again, I went on the kids slinging it.
- 14:37Speaker 2: It was so scary.
- 14:41Speaker 1: And recap it. The softball you guys, the eight seed
- 14:45Speaker 1: lost in the first round to a team overall though
- 14:50Speaker 1: have fun. Yes, good time might be the only the
- 14:54Speaker 1: last time you play in Pennsylvania.
- 14:56Speaker 2: You never know, yeah, because they don't want to go
- 14:58Speaker 2: back to Pennsylvania.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Yeah, never, No, all right. So today at the time,
- 15:02Speaker 1: at a recording recording recording, makes said, hey, we're gonna
- 15:06Speaker 1: have a girl's day. I wasn't there, so why didn't
- 15:08Speaker 1: you guys talk about your girl's day? I don't want
- 15:10Speaker 1: you to kick us off with a couple of things.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And you got, well, we'll do this chat.
- 15:13Speaker 2: But so we first we went to a frift shop
- 15:18Speaker 2: mm hmmm, and it was very like. There was a
- 15:22Speaker 2: bunch of clothes and me and Avery did a challenge,
- 15:26Speaker 2: so you pick, so you can't show each other and
- 15:29Speaker 2: you pick the other person's outfit, well like.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And you wanted to be serious and it was a
- 15:34Speaker 1: nice outfit or you wanted to do it make it
- 15:36Speaker 1: a little bit funny. I couldn't have been serious. I
- 15:40Speaker 1: would have had so much fun picking something goofy.
- 15:42Speaker 2: And I did you ever picked a nice outfit for her?
- 15:45Speaker 1: Did you ever see the challenge and we bought it? Cool?
- 15:49Speaker 1: Did you ever see the challenge where like you have
- 15:50Speaker 1: to close your eyes at a thrift store and go
- 15:52Speaker 1: through the shirts in the size. That's what I would
- 15:54Speaker 1: have made you guys do fun so described to people
- 15:58Speaker 1: and you had to get it, which describe what you got?
- 16:00Speaker 1: Avery so so it was like.
- 16:04Speaker 2: A purple came. It was like two packs, so it
- 16:08Speaker 2: came with the shirt shirt. It came with the shirt
- 16:12Speaker 2: and the pants together. I got her this purple set
- 16:17Speaker 2: in it. It was a very pretty purple and it's
- 16:22Speaker 2: like a crop top kind of and pant long pants.
- 16:25Speaker 2: And she got a break because hers broke. I got
- 16:29Speaker 2: her a pearl bracelet because hers broke, and she and
- 16:33Speaker 2: I got her pearl necklustion to go with it.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Would you get her?
- 16:37Speaker 2: Oh?
- 16:38Speaker 3: And just the by the way, it was like a
- 16:39Speaker 3: workout outfit, like that material.
- 16:43Speaker 1: I liked it so pretty good. She did a good job.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Most people will think it's like that fabric that's slack
- 16:51Speaker 2: kind of whatever, which it is. It's not that fabric.
- 16:56Speaker 3: And so I got her too because instead of getting
- 17:01Speaker 3: her like jeweler and stuff I didn't think she needed.
- 17:04Speaker 3: I just got her an actually like one piece outfit.
- 17:08Speaker 3: So it's one piece and has like it's like one
- 17:11Speaker 3: of those flowy romper things and it has shorts with
- 17:15Speaker 3: like a skirt that comes out behind it.
- 17:18Speaker 1: It was the name of the place, you guys, did
- 17:20Speaker 1: the side do you remember give a little sat at
- 17:22Speaker 1: thrift Teaea. I got you. I love thrift shopping. Sissy
- 17:26Speaker 1: get a couple of things.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Yeah, she got school pants.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Exactly what she needed was more clothes because she doesn't
- 17:33Speaker 1: have clothes all over her room on the floor. Right.
- 17:35Speaker 2: No, she was gonna get She's gonna get rid of
- 17:37Speaker 2: a lot of those, she said, just like.
- 17:39Speaker 1: You guys are going to clean the table and clean
- 17:41Speaker 1: the background for my record thing. I'll believe it when
- 17:43Speaker 1: I see it. Some people talk about it, some people
- 17:47Speaker 1: be about it. What are you gonna be isla, you
- 17:50Speaker 1: can talk about it or be about it. She didn't
- 17:53Speaker 1: say that very confident.
- 17:55Speaker 3: It only got two black leggings so she can match
- 17:58Speaker 3: her Just kidding anyways. Anyways, and then the second outfit,
- 18:02Speaker 3: it was like a shiny like jean short material skirt
- 18:08Speaker 3: with this orange shirt and it was like one of
- 18:12Speaker 3: those puffy arms with like the cutout here and like ruffles.
- 18:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna pretend like I know what you're talking about.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Okay, okay, And yeah that's what I got her.
- 18:23Speaker 1: That's pretty good. Make it anything cool.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Got a little mug, yeah, a.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Cup shocker because we need one cups.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Right, It was a mug. It was kind of like
- 18:33Speaker 2: fashion one, you know, her soup one that.
- 18:35Speaker 1: She has mm hm.
- 18:37Speaker 2: The yeah, hers is a mug, but it's just like that,
- 18:40Speaker 2: but it's a mug.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Did you guys go anywhere to eat, get any snacks,
- 18:43Speaker 1: get any ice cream or anything?
- 18:45Speaker 2: Or taco bell? Yes? I am so glad I didn't
- 18:50Speaker 2: eat that soft chaco.
- 18:51Speaker 1: I probably would have exploded right into the mic.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Buddy, probably would have exploded.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Okay, oh little pastam, little packle bell. And then you
- 18:59Speaker 1: guys went to Omart because you've got something.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I got a bunch of football cards, one hundred and
- 19:04Speaker 2: twenty football cards.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Oh girl, what was the name of the brand of it?
- 19:08Speaker 1: We're going with? Pinnini? Is that we're going with It's
- 19:11Speaker 1: Penny Well, won't see what is? By the way, got
- 19:14Speaker 1: some cards? Got a couple you like, a couple of you?
- 19:17Speaker 1: What was your top card?
- 19:18Speaker 2: Probably every What is the brand of your shoes? Like
- 19:23Speaker 2: the ones that you were? I got burke and I
- 19:26Speaker 2: have burken socks, so her broken socks.
- 19:28Speaker 1: And socks and socks and socks or stocks and.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Birken socks. I got a doup of those and they
- 19:41Speaker 2: look just like hers.
- 19:42Speaker 1: It's cool, dude, I like it. I like it. What
- 19:44Speaker 1: else on the Girls Day.
- 19:47Speaker 2: We went to two thrifts stores technically technically number one
- 19:54Speaker 2: and Thriftek number two.
- 19:57Speaker 1: There's two thrift teaks.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Yeah, they're in the same part, the ones at the
- 20:00Speaker 3: side of the plaza and ones on the other. One's
- 20:02Speaker 3: a close one and like glass, and then the other
- 20:06Speaker 3: one's like.
- 20:06Speaker 2: A sports She since he got a watch that what
- 20:13Speaker 2: is it? What was the Yankees watch?
- 20:16Speaker 1: Gross?
- 20:17Speaker 3: Because it reminded her of something Grandpa Pubbly hope Grandpa's.
- 20:22Speaker 2: A Boston definitely not.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Anyways, all right, cool? Anything else? Girls Day? Was it?
- 20:31Speaker 1: All right? So listen, let's have a little bit of
- 20:33Speaker 1: fun before we get out of here. We're gonna do
- 20:36Speaker 1: a game, and it's gonna be sweet or swing. I'm
- 20:39Speaker 1: gonna read a statement and you guys are gonna guess
- 20:41Speaker 1: if it's about chocolate or softball. So you can either
- 20:45Speaker 1: say sweet or swing. Some are gonna be true facts,
- 20:47Speaker 1: others are gonna be funny, made up ones. And we'll
- 20:50Speaker 1: see if you guys get the right answer. All right, Okay,
- 20:53Speaker 1: this thing once set a Guinness World record by weighing
- 20:58Speaker 1: over nine thousand pounds. Sweet Sweet. It was the biggest
- 21:05Speaker 1: chocolate bar. All right, All right. This one time was
- 21:13Speaker 1: so far out of this world. It landed in a
- 21:16Speaker 1: parking lot a couple of streets away from its orbits.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Swang Swing all right, that was a MOV story. Oh,
- 21:25Speaker 1: this one is gonna be. This one's little tricky. Milton
- 21:28Speaker 1: Hershey started a company before ever selling chocolate.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Swing. I think that's a trick question.
- 21:34Speaker 1: So swing, Sweet, he started selling caramel before solid.
- 21:40Speaker 2: I thought you were trying to trick as I was.
- 21:42Speaker 2: He literally knew.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Maybe this one's too obvious. This brand, this company, this place,
- 21:50Speaker 1: this thing has a shortstop. Sweet, both saying swing. Are
- 21:56Speaker 1: you sure? Yes? Okay, Well it's swing all right. Let's
- 22:01Speaker 1: see here in Japan they play a lot of baseball softball,
- 22:06Speaker 1: there is a certain brand that they're able to change
- 22:11Speaker 1: depending on the day and the temperature in the game location,
- 22:15Speaker 1: potentially game location.
- 22:17Speaker 2: It's swing, I think, oh, sorry, I did not mean
- 22:20Speaker 2: that I removed the car sw.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Sweets or swing this location.
- 22:27Speaker 2: She's just like a swing.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Sweet. It is a chocolate brand that actually changes either
- 22:32Speaker 1: packaging and uniform colors that.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Are based on I had no idea either.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I discussed this can have speeds up to over seventy
- 22:42Speaker 1: seven miles per hour.
- 22:44Speaker 2: That is a swing, because chocolate bars can't raise over
- 22:49Speaker 2: thirty four miles. I also to say swing because you
- 22:53Speaker 2: can pitch over seventy miles. Seventy miles, chocolate bars can't
- 22:57Speaker 2: go for many masks.
- 22:58Speaker 1: You don't think they can go on those conveyor belts
- 23:00Speaker 1: or a truck delivering candy bars over seven.
- 23:03Speaker 2: But no, I'm still gonna go.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Okay, the answer it swing, all right, Babe Ruth.
- 23:09Speaker 2: I answers, this doesn't make sense. Chocolate. I'm not sweet.
- 23:14Speaker 2: I don't wave. There's a baby Ruth candy too, Just kidding.
- 23:19Speaker 2: I did say swing.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Good question. It's both because it is a Babe Ruth
- 23:23Speaker 1: and Ruth chocolate bar. You're both correct, Well done, Well done,
- 23:30Speaker 1: all right, so let's do one more rapid fire quick
- 23:33Speaker 1: fire q inn A, you have five seconds per answer,
- 23:37Speaker 1: no stalling, Avery, you go first, then, Isla, you're gonna
- 23:41Speaker 1: go next. What would you rather have a Hershey ride
- 23:44Speaker 1: or a ballpark hot dog? Four three two? Isla Hershey
- 23:48Speaker 1: Rider or a ballpark hot dog Hershy ride?
- 23:51Speaker 2: Because I don't like hot dogs? All right, that's hard
- 23:54Speaker 2: because I love playing softball.
- 23:55Speaker 1: All right, Isla, you go First, would you rather have
- 23:58Speaker 1: and you have five seconds girls day, manny petties or
- 24:01Speaker 1: go to the batting cages?
- 24:03Speaker 2: Avery, going to the batting cages. I like getting manny
- 24:06Speaker 2: petties if they're long.
- 24:08Speaker 1: All right? Avery. Would you rather win the tournament in
- 24:11Speaker 1: Pennsylvania or Isle if you were playing in a tournament,
- 24:14Speaker 1: or have unlimited chocolate for a day?
- 24:16Speaker 2: Win the tournament in Pennsylvania limited chocolate for a day?
- 24:21Speaker 1: All right? Would you rather have a softball glove or
- 24:24Speaker 1: a giant Hershey plush toy.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Softball glove plus toy?
- 24:31Speaker 1: Okay? And last one, what is the best snack you've
- 24:35Speaker 1: had this whole week?
- 24:38Speaker 2: Frosting? The hersy frosting? That was good this week? So
- 24:41Speaker 2: it would be where was I everywhere?
- 24:44Speaker 1: Don't you told me you were here? You were there?
- 24:46Speaker 1: You were everywhere? Time is up? Anyways?
- 24:48Speaker 2: Oh?
- 24:48Speaker 3: I know Mimi's or pagus chicken and Memi's mac and
- 24:54Speaker 3: cheese at her house.
- 24:56Speaker 1: That's a snack. Most people call that dinner.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Okay.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Then is a pretty solid one cookie dough that you
- 25:06Speaker 3: get in those Ben and Jerry's bags. You got five,
- 25:10Speaker 3: I know, but you know the Ben and Jerry blue
- 25:12Speaker 3: bags and they come with no or no bake.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I don't I would get I know what
- 25:18Speaker 1: cookie dough is.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Mine is the Hershey chocolate frosting.
- 25:22Speaker 1: And said that you only had five seconds. You both
- 25:25Speaker 1: are way over. The game is over. You don't listen.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I feel bad for your teachers.
- 25:30Speaker 2: I listened to my teachers. I do too.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I just don't you listen to me. You've known me
- 25:34Speaker 1: longer than teachers anyway. Technically yes, technically yeah, technically yes. See.
- 25:40Speaker 1: What do we got going the rest of the week.
- 25:41Speaker 1: You are going on in a family trip to New
- 25:43Speaker 1: Hampshire softball tryouts. Low aka Sissy also has softball tryouts.
- 25:48Speaker 1: You both had dance sign ups last night. You're gonna
- 25:51Speaker 1: do dance again this year? No, and a lot of dance.
- 25:55Speaker 1: A lot of things to still work out. Stay tuned.
- 25:58Speaker 1: We will definitely talk about that at some point. But
- 26:01Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys have anything else. Oh,
- 26:03Speaker 1: you had another tournament. You and Sissy didn't go great.
- 26:06Speaker 1: You guys each won a game. Avery's team. You guys
- 26:09Speaker 1: lost in the championship, put up a set another second
- 26:11Speaker 1: place banner.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Sissy's team we won two games actually, oh.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Yeah, sorry, two games lost in the championship game. What else.
- 26:18Speaker 1: That's a pretty pretty exciting week. This is going to
- 26:22Speaker 1: be ramping into softball season is going to be starting
- 26:26Speaker 1: very soon. School is getting ready to be back. School
- 26:28Speaker 1: schedules are coming out. Avery got her, Sissy got hers? Isla,
- 26:32Speaker 1: you didn't quite get yours yet? Correct your school schedule?
- 26:36Speaker 2: She doesn't get a schedule elementary school.
- 26:40Speaker 1: But you still have to decide, like who's your teacher
- 26:42Speaker 1: and all that?
- 26:42Speaker 4: You know?
- 26:47Speaker 1: Excited for school? Pretty excited for school? Cat, Just remember
- 26:51Speaker 1: they can't see you, so you have to go yes
- 26:53Speaker 1: or no. Yes, Well you said it Isila, didn't Hyler?
- 26:58Speaker 1: Are you excited for school?
- 26:59Speaker 2: Yes?
- 27:00Speaker 1: Well she sounds really excited, doesn't she. Yeah, let me
- 27:04Speaker 1: ask you one more time. Are you excited for school?
- 27:07Speaker 2: Yes?
- 27:08Speaker 1: Thank you? I knew you were. Got all our school
- 27:10Speaker 1: shopping done. I think life's pretty good.
- 27:13Speaker 2: I just have to return some stuff.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it happens. Sometimes you buy some things that are
- 27:17Speaker 1: just a little extra special because it's a joke.
- 27:21Speaker 2: All right.
- 27:22Speaker 1: On that note, but it's really hot and I feel
- 27:26Speaker 1: like I could just stick my head in the fridge.
- 27:28Speaker 1: So I want to let you guys know not to
- 27:30Speaker 1: do that, because I want you both to stay out
- 27:31Speaker 1: of my fridge, and if we ever get back into
- 27:34Speaker 1: the studio or what we'll do. One of these signs
- 27:36Speaker 1: is I'll hook up the TV. There's a TV right
- 27:38Speaker 1: behind us, and we'll put the the fridge. Detective. We'll
- 27:41Speaker 1: come up with a way to do that in an
- 27:43Speaker 1: upcoming episode. So all right, I think that's good. You
- 27:46Speaker 1: guys got anything else? All right? Thank you for doing this.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Did you guys have fun?
- 27:50Speaker 2: Yes?
- 27:50Speaker 1: I'm want to do it again next week. Okay, cool,
- 27:54Speaker 1: you might be there. We'll figure it out.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Okay, stay out of my fridge.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Stay on my fridge.
- 28:03Speaker 1: It's my fridge, my frid fridge you're talking about. Stay
- 28:07Speaker 1: out of her fridge. You stay out of the fridge
- 28:09Speaker 1: in the porch, and you're up first usually in the morning,
- 28:12Speaker 1: other than me, so you can get in the well.
- 28:14Speaker 1: You don't keep peanut butter in a fridge, so there's
- 28:16Speaker 1: no need for you to be there. All right, we'll
- 28:17Speaker 1: stay out of each other.
- 28:19Speaker 2: I need to get bread from the fridge. Yeah, you
- 28:22Speaker 2: got a lot of things going on to talk about
- 28:25Speaker 2: in this episode.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Yes, we do, so, I mean we might as well
- 28:31Speaker 1: talk about it. I mean something club didn't it. It's come,
- 28:34Speaker 1: it's gone. Temperatures are in thee is already when we
- 28:37Speaker 1: wake up. It's pretty, isn't it. Yeah, how do you
- 28:40Speaker 1: feel about that? We're in that little bit of a
- 28:42Speaker 1: weather where it's forties by morning, seventy five by afternoon.
- 28:46Speaker 1: You get in the vehicle, you got to turn the
- 28:48Speaker 1: heat on. When you get picked up after a soccer
- 28:50Speaker 1: game or practice, you gotta put the ac on. It
- 28:53Speaker 1: weird time of the year in the North Country. But yeah,
- 28:55Speaker 1: it's it's done. It's over right.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Last week we did have a very good conversation with Ila.
- 29:01Speaker 1: First week of school all that stuff. So why don't
- 29:03Speaker 1: you do a quick thing We hadn't talked to you
- 29:06Speaker 1: since you're real first week of school, let's talk tell
- 29:09Speaker 1: us about teachers, friends, lockers, funny moments, anything that happened
- 29:12Speaker 1: with the I guess the first week.
- 29:14Speaker 2: We'll start with teachers.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Okay, I have nine different teachers because I have nine
- 29:20Speaker 3: different periods or whatever.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Maybe sure, I like a count to nine.
- 29:26Speaker 2: My home room is English.
- 29:28Speaker 1: And we English and homeroom. That's good.
- 29:30Speaker 3: We just started our unit and like we went over
- 29:32Speaker 3: the vocabulary and easy stuff like that. We have to
- 29:35Speaker 3: work in like a big book this year.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Do you guys know who in baseball? The big Unit
- 29:41Speaker 1: his real name and he was a pitcher. There's a
- 29:44Speaker 1: cash prize if you can guess it.
- 29:48Speaker 2: I have question. Do we have a game for today?
- 29:52Speaker 2: We're not there yet.
- 29:54Speaker 1: I was, Okay, you don't win. It's Randy Johnson. We
- 29:57Speaker 1: might have a game. It depends on if we get
- 30:00Speaker 1: to it. Okay, okay, you ask a question. While I'm
- 30:03Speaker 1: asking a question, you guys could have want some money.
- 30:07Speaker 1: And then he was the picture that threw really really
- 30:10Speaker 1: hard and one time threw a ball and a bird
- 30:12Speaker 1: flew by and it hit the bird and the bird exploded. Oh,
- 30:16Speaker 1: that's so sad.
- 30:18Speaker 3: My second period is language, and you chose I chose Spanish.
- 30:24Speaker 3: We yeah, By the way, I have homework for that.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I have to figure out my name in Spanish.
- 30:30Speaker 1: That's your homework.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yeah, okay.
- 30:34Speaker 3: My third period is math and I'm in advanced math
- 30:38Speaker 3: and we started working that. I finished my homework for today,
- 30:41Speaker 3: but I'm not going to be able to tomorrow.
- 30:45Speaker 2: And my fourth period is a study all. Fifth period's lunch.
- 30:51Speaker 3: I mean it's Advisory'd you say lunch?
- 30:54Speaker 1: What should say it? Like that.
- 30:57Speaker 2: A fifth period Social Studies so boring. You sit there
- 31:04Speaker 2: and write a bunch of stuff down about so fight
- 31:06Speaker 2: I don't even understand.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Learn to love it, okay.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Then I have Special.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Which I have ARC first semester and we learned how
- 31:16Speaker 3: to draw the proper way. I like it, like realistic things, okay.
- 31:21Speaker 3: And then we have Jim or study hall. Today we
- 31:25Speaker 3: had Jim nice and we went outside and I played
- 31:28Speaker 3: soccer with Abby Sadie in Bristol.
- 31:31Speaker 1: A couple of girls that should probably play soccer.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Yeah she one of them said that she wanted to
- 31:38Speaker 3: play soccer butt her mama ladder anyway. And then I
- 31:42Speaker 3: have science.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Science and that happens to be the subject you get
- 31:46Speaker 1: to miss on away games.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Yeah, like today. But I love my science teacher. She's
- 31:52Speaker 2: so nice.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Let any updates, not in like full detail, because we
- 31:56Speaker 1: talked all about your first day, first week. Anything in
- 31:59Speaker 1: the last day or two happened that space here has
- 32:02Speaker 1: Its just been pretty good school stuff.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I've started a book, well, I've finished a book and
- 32:09Speaker 2: I started a new one and it was really good.
- 32:12Speaker 2: It's you know, if you guys have ever heard of
- 32:15Speaker 2: the Magic tree House, it's a really good book, but
- 32:17Speaker 2: they made it in a graphic novel for me, and
- 32:19Speaker 2: I love graphic novels, so I've been reading those. And
- 32:23Speaker 2: I finished my graphic novel in two in one day
- 32:28Speaker 2: because we've got thirty minutes to read. We also I
- 32:34Speaker 2: also started a new one and I'm halfway through it.
- 32:36Speaker 2: And it's been two days since since I've finished my
- 32:40Speaker 2: other book. Yeah, like and started my new book, so together,
- 32:43Speaker 2: it's two days.
- 32:44Speaker 1: I like it. And what are you about? To sign
- 32:47Speaker 1: up for basketball? Yeah?
- 32:50Speaker 2: And I also signed up for Makerspace.
- 32:53Speaker 1: That is awesome. I know you're super excited hopefully make
- 32:56Speaker 1: the top twenty, but it's gonna be and I do
- 32:59Speaker 1: want to say that I'm a little bit bummed because
- 33:02Speaker 1: it's your first year potentially. You know, I'm gonna be
- 33:04Speaker 1: playing some basketball and I have to coach against you
- 33:07Speaker 1: and we have to beat you up.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Now I'm gonna win.
- 33:09Speaker 1: No, It's gonna be funn either way. But I do
- 33:12Speaker 1: wish that we could make a couple more games. But
- 33:15Speaker 1: I'll figure it out.
- 33:16Speaker 2: If you play against me, will you still cheer for
- 33:18Speaker 2: me in your head?
- 33:20Speaker 1: Sure, I'll always cheer for you, just not out loud.
- 33:23Speaker 1: I'm not going to be like rooting for you while
- 33:24Speaker 1: I'm coaching the other ones. Probably, but if you do
- 33:26Speaker 1: something good, I will be like deal, yeah, okay, yeah,
- 33:31Speaker 1: all right. And soccer seasons are ramping up. Where do
- 33:35Speaker 1: you on game We just wrapped up Game three the
- 33:38Speaker 1: time this comes out, we have the big pirate bulldog rivalry,
- 33:42Speaker 1: which is gonna be awesome for me. Well, it's an
- 33:47Speaker 1: in house rivalry because Sissy's gonna be on the varsity
- 33:49Speaker 1: game and Avery's going to be playing the same school.
- 33:53Speaker 1: It's unfortunate because one, I can't be in one spot
- 33:55Speaker 1: and watch both at the same.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Time, but but you can't inhersh Yeah.
- 34:00Speaker 1: So, but give us a little recap on how you
- 34:02Speaker 1: think your first couple of games are. You know, like
- 34:04Speaker 1: some of your favorite plays, your hardest plays, some funny
- 34:07Speaker 1: moments that either happen on the sideline or practice or something.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Well, the first game, I don't even want to talk
- 34:14Speaker 2: about it.
- 34:15Speaker 1: You should talk about it. Why don't you want to
- 34:17Speaker 1: talk about it because you didn't win?
- 34:19Speaker 3: No, becuys, it was our first game and it was
- 34:22Speaker 3: just so bad because we've never played together. Yeah, so
- 34:27Speaker 3: it's like, but now we're a lot better already.
- 34:30Speaker 1: You're not a lot better. I just think that you
- 34:33Speaker 1: ran into some less talented team. Let's not take away
- 34:36Speaker 1: from the very first team. They were a very good team.
- 34:38Speaker 1: You were getting your feet underway, and you guys have
- 34:41Speaker 1: vastly improved.
- 34:44Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Let's not get ahead of ourselves and think that you're
- 34:46Speaker 1: a great team. You're the best team ever. You guys
- 34:48Speaker 1: have improved a lot. And I'm not only individually. I've
- 34:51Speaker 1: seen three to five kids that have came in a
- 34:55Speaker 1: long ways already, but as a team starting to put
- 34:57Speaker 1: some passes together, putting some through balls, getting some shots.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Once you get stronger, it's awesome to watch you guys
- 35:05Speaker 1: get a little bit better. I want you to chime
- 35:07Speaker 1: in with your soccer snack sideline review, because I know
- 35:12Speaker 1: you're on the sidelines. You're not really watching games, but
- 35:14Speaker 1: you're eating some snacks. What's been the best snack? Because
- 35:16Speaker 1: we went to the tournament, Oh we went to beaver No,
- 35:18Speaker 1: you didn't go to beaver Yeah, you went to went
- 35:20Speaker 1: to Beaver River with Grandma in the back, and you
- 35:23Speaker 1: were at Avery's today. What's been the best snack? Your head?
- 35:26Speaker 1: Best snack your head? That's when you're talking to the mic.
- 35:28Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember. I'm pretty sure I had fried
- 35:31Speaker 2: bread though on one of the games, though I swear.
- 35:36Speaker 1: I don't think so. I don't know, but I don't
- 35:39Speaker 1: remember bread dough.
- 35:40Speaker 2: I don't remember any of my other snacks, so probably
- 35:43Speaker 2: just I put I got puffed puff what is it
- 35:48Speaker 2: called cheetahs? That was the best.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Okay, So from now on when you're at soccer, I
- 35:53Speaker 1: want you're focusing on soccer, and I want snack sideline reviews. Deal.
- 35:58Speaker 1: I mean today you're not sideline snacks from NIMA and
- 36:02Speaker 1: you just so think about that from No One. All right, yeah,
- 36:05Speaker 1: so good. Any funny moments, any sideline moments, anything like
- 36:08Speaker 1: that that really stick out to you. At the beginning
- 36:09Speaker 1: of soccer or.
- 36:10Speaker 3: No and Maren scored a goal, our goalie. She came
- 36:14Speaker 3: out of goal and she scored when she got put
- 36:17Speaker 3: on the field, and then at she goes, how does
- 36:20Speaker 3: that go in? And my friend's sister said, because you
- 36:24Speaker 3: shot it, and you shot it and it went over
- 36:26Speaker 3: her head, so it went in the goal.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I mean that is exactly her.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Yeah, but hey, good stuff so far. Looking forward to it,
- 36:36Speaker 1: you know, especially you do play a lot of defense
- 36:39Speaker 1: and I played defense. Take pride. And when you get
- 36:41Speaker 1: a couple back to back shutouts, that's a good thing.
- 36:45Speaker 1: You know what a shutout is Isila, No, you don't
- 36:47Speaker 1: know what a shutout is. Do you know what a
- 36:48Speaker 1: goose egg is? It means you hold the team to
- 36:51Speaker 1: no points? You shut them out? They scored Zerra goose egg.
- 36:57Speaker 1: That's awesome. So good stuff from the Yeah, I mean
- 37:03Speaker 1: that's pretty good. Yeah. Any funny moments or anything with you?
- 37:07Speaker 1: All right? So Avery, Aila, we went to a pig roast,
- 37:12Speaker 1: something I wanted to naturally bring up. And it was wild,
- 37:15Speaker 1: wasn't it.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:16Speaker 1: So a couple of friends of mine, they have a
- 37:20Speaker 1: little get together where they just invite friends and families
- 37:23Speaker 1: and everything. We get together, hang out, roast up, big
- 37:26Speaker 1: cook some brisket, have all sorts of stuff. Everybody brings
- 37:29Speaker 1: a plate to pass, some desserts. They do, lawnmower races,
- 37:34Speaker 1: see houses, all sorts of stuff. I mean it gets
- 37:39Speaker 1: pretty wild, right, yes, And we've been going for a
- 37:43Speaker 1: couple of years. You guys, are you always on your
- 37:46Speaker 1: best behavior, which I really appreciate. And would you guys think, Aila,
- 37:50Speaker 1: would you think of the pig roast.
- 37:52Speaker 2: I thought it was fun.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Yeah, why did you just think it was fun?
- 37:56Speaker 2: I had a lot of fun. I caught few frogs.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Free frog few frogs, few frogs, free frogs.
- 38:03Speaker 2: A few frogs, and it was really fun. And I
- 38:06Speaker 2: went swimming on the pond and I caught a big
- 38:09Speaker 2: frog and it was hurt because a lot of the
- 38:13Speaker 2: other people that I was playing with was throwing the
- 38:16Speaker 2: frogs back in and they didn't care. So I like
- 38:21Speaker 2: climbed down and put them in gently because they have
- 38:25Speaker 2: feelings too. But I put it in the water and
- 38:29Speaker 2: it swam right back to me. It really liked me.
- 38:32Speaker 2: And there was a kid that went, guys, come over here,
- 38:35Speaker 2: look at this. This girl is like, I've never seen
- 38:40Speaker 2: a frog that calm of a person, because it was
- 38:43Speaker 2: in my lap and it just was like so tired
- 38:46Speaker 2: and sleepy and it fell asleep in my lap. And
- 38:50Speaker 2: they went, what, I'd never seen a frog react that
- 38:54Speaker 2: calmly to a human.
- 38:56Speaker 1: It was pretty interesting. You put it up on the
- 38:59Speaker 1: slide and chill. I was I've never seen a frog
- 39:02Speaker 1: do with that either, did you avery?
- 39:03Speaker 4: No?
- 39:04Speaker 1: It was interesting, but yeah, it was cool. I'm thankful
- 39:07Speaker 1: that that didn't come home as another pet.
- 39:09Speaker 2: So that's what about the avery?
- 39:12Speaker 1: What was kind of something that really stuck out for
- 39:15Speaker 1: you at the pig roast?
- 39:16Speaker 2: The lawn race.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Yeah, so paint the painte the scene. Paint the picture
- 39:20Speaker 1: for anybody that be like what lawnmower race because some
- 39:23Speaker 1: of these people they push mold their lawns. Some of
- 39:25Speaker 1: these people they just get on a lawnmore and cut it.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Paint the scene as if you were there.
- 39:30Speaker 3: So it's like the track is like a dirt bike
- 39:35Speaker 3: track where I say dirt and just in the circle turns. Yeah,
- 39:41Speaker 3: no ramps and no track just it's flat turns and
- 39:48Speaker 3: goes in like an oval shape. And they're not push mowers.
- 39:53Speaker 3: They're like John Deere lawnmowers, but they're not all Jahn Dere.
- 39:56Speaker 1: And they go slow fast.
- 40:00Speaker 2: There are slow because you mowed the lawn.
- 40:04Speaker 1: No, these ones I know.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Usually, but they like take stuff out and they do
- 40:10Speaker 3: that and they take out the grass mowing stuff.
- 40:14Speaker 1: That is called the deck deck, the lawnmoard deck that's gone.
- 40:18Speaker 1: They are not cutting any lawn, are they Islah No,
- 40:22Speaker 1: And they.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Run go super fast, well pretty fast. Some of them
- 40:30Speaker 2: are loud. Some of them are quiet. It depends on
- 40:33Speaker 2: the lawnmower, and they try not to get hurt.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Thankfully, that is a thing. Nobody got hurt. They do
- 40:41Speaker 1: and it's it is quite the event. There was a
- 40:43Speaker 1: lot of lawnmars, wasn't there? How many do you think
- 40:45Speaker 1: there were? Isla? Yess, fifty?
- 40:51Speaker 2: There was thirteen. I counted, that's it.
- 40:53Speaker 1: I was thinking like twenties, but there was thirteen fifties
- 40:57Speaker 1: close to thirteen? Yes, yes, really interesting. What do you
- 41:02Speaker 1: think of it?
- 41:03Speaker 2: Fifteen fifty? Yeah?
- 41:05Speaker 1: Okay, what'd you think of them?
- 41:06Speaker 2: But I thought it was really cool and I watched
- 41:09Speaker 2: it from when I was swimming in the punt did What.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Did you think was cool about it?
- 41:14Speaker 2: That they were just going so so fast and then
- 41:17Speaker 2: they could take like they can go that fast and
- 41:20Speaker 2: it's a law more crazy.
- 41:23Speaker 1: It's crazy. And they're all wearing helmets.
- 41:26Speaker 3: And yeah, they're all wearing protective motorcycle helmets kind of things.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, smart. What else were you saying?
- 41:36Speaker 2: It was very entertaining.
- 41:38Speaker 3: It's like sometimes they just go in the circle and
- 41:41Speaker 3: they win, but this one was like an entertaining.
- 41:44Speaker 1: And what they normally do too, is they just kind
- 41:46Speaker 1: of have a couple of different heats, so they might
- 41:48Speaker 1: have like four go and then heat two four, or
- 41:51Speaker 1: go then three and however many and then they just
- 41:54Speaker 1: go and they go a lot of them break down
- 41:56Speaker 1: and break, don't they. So when they break and this
- 41:58Speaker 1: and that, they put them back on the trailer and
- 41:59Speaker 1: they go. But then what they do is for the
- 42:01Speaker 1: final race, they take the best of the best, all
- 42:04Speaker 1: the ones, all the winners. And it was pretty intense,
- 42:07Speaker 1: wasn't it. Yeah, A couple of couple of lawnmowers on
- 42:10Speaker 1: two wheels, a couple one of my buddies went right
- 42:13Speaker 1: into the woods. Just just a lot of fun.
- 42:18Speaker 2: After you went in the woods, she's.
- 42:20Speaker 1: Like, nah, I done, I'm all done here. So now
- 42:23Speaker 1: that was that was awesome. And the food was pretty
- 42:25Speaker 1: good as well, wasn't it, Isla, Yeah, what did you
- 42:28Speaker 1: eat there that you really liked?
- 42:29Speaker 2: Their mini donuts thores were so good?
- 42:34Speaker 1: So yeah, oh, I mean, let's be honest, you're not
- 42:36Speaker 1: going to a big Rosa party and worrying about help
- 42:38Speaker 1: somebody who made those donuts. They were definitely homemade donuts, right.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Yeah, those were not store bought. If they were, they
- 42:43Speaker 2: got them from a bakery.
- 42:46Speaker 1: There were these little homemade donuts. And then the reason
- 42:48Speaker 1: we say, because normally the donuts like their flat, their circle,
- 42:51Speaker 1: these ones kind of angled down a little bit like
- 42:53Speaker 1: they were in a certain.
- 42:55Speaker 2: The little Boston No.
- 42:57Speaker 1: No, no, I don't think, Avery, I don't think. I
- 42:59Speaker 1: don't know where you were for them. She found them
- 43:01Speaker 1: on a plate and the dessert thing. They were wrapped
- 43:03Speaker 1: up and they were like circles. They all had different
- 43:06Speaker 1: frosting designs and it sprinkles.
- 43:08Speaker 2: They were fantastic, the best thing I've ever laid in
- 43:11Speaker 2: my exes.
- 43:12Speaker 3: And then I was gonna say when they're when she
- 43:14Speaker 3: said they're homemade and they're not a store bot. And
- 43:17Speaker 3: all I saw was the minit the Boston creams that go.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Wait a minute, they're not homemade. I got so like.
- 43:25Speaker 2: I I was like, oh my goshes are so good.
- 43:28Speaker 2: And there was only like four left. I think you.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Had twenty of them.
- 43:32Speaker 2: No, I didn't you.
- 43:33Speaker 1: At one point I saw you had a stack of them.
- 43:35Speaker 2: No, I had one the first time. I'm getting to
- 43:38Speaker 2: that and I there was only four, and I decided,
- 43:42Speaker 2: oh my gosh, these are so good, I might as
- 43:44Speaker 2: well take them before before they're gone. So I stacked
- 43:48Speaker 2: three on my plate and I ate them.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Well, you did, really you liked There was a lot
- 43:54Speaker 1: of good food. Shout out that everybody that brought something.
- 43:56Speaker 1: What do you think that?
- 43:57Speaker 2: Like the taco salad stuff? I had so much that
- 44:01Speaker 2: it was like.
- 44:02Speaker 3: Meat, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream. And then they had tortilla
- 44:08Speaker 3: chips on the like the scoop ones on the side.
- 44:11Speaker 3: So I scooped a bunch of the taco salad and
- 44:13Speaker 3: then I put chips on the side and used the
- 44:14Speaker 3: scoop chips to scoop the taco salad and eat it.
- 44:17Speaker 1: So good, so good, so good. But it is a
- 44:20Speaker 1: pig roast. And was it the first time that you
- 44:22Speaker 1: guys saw a pig at a pig roast?
- 44:25Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 44:25Speaker 3: I think I saw like a glimpse of it last year,
- 44:28Speaker 3: but I didn't see it like that.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Why did you say it like that was the first
- 44:32Speaker 1: time you saw pig roast?
- 44:33Speaker 2: I didn't see it.
- 44:34Speaker 1: You didn't see it?
- 44:35Speaker 2: You didn't I'm too sure I couldn't see it. I
- 44:37Speaker 2: would have seen it, but if I'm too short.
- 44:40Speaker 1: We did not like it so much. She was going
- 44:43Speaker 1: to be a vegetarian, I thankfully in my opinion, and
- 44:46Speaker 1: there's nothing wrong with being a vegetarian, but it did
- 44:48Speaker 1: quickly pass. And because tacos and meat.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Bring back from a few years ago, what did the
- 44:56Speaker 2: poor pig ever doing them a few years ago? If
- 45:00Speaker 2: you've seen that, you've seen.
- 45:01Speaker 1: That, you've seen that, you've seen that. I was in
- 45:03Speaker 1: charge of, well not in charge of, but I assisted
- 45:05Speaker 1: with the shredding. I did a lot of shredding, didn't.
- 45:08Speaker 2: I that pork pig? It was burton black. You shredded
- 45:11Speaker 2: a pig?
- 45:12Speaker 1: Shredded a pig? Mean no, well know those like shredder
- 45:16Speaker 1: things that we have for the meat. That's what I
- 45:18Speaker 1: used to me. And a four man's squad. He crushed
- 45:22Speaker 1: it as a heck of a squad?
- 45:24Speaker 2: Was it a big pig? How small was it?
- 45:26Speaker 3: It was good, but I couldn't eat it. I just
- 45:29Speaker 3: felt too bad for that.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Dang big well you know what was already anyways? How
- 45:33Speaker 1: big was it? Avery?
- 45:34Speaker 2: It was one hundred twenty five.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Pounds twenty five pound pig? Good stuff? Fries come on
- 45:42Speaker 1: Kevin's homemade fries.
- 45:43Speaker 2: They were so good. I didn't try once.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Sadly does the French fry queen.
- 45:50Speaker 2: She didn't go down the food there bus she just
- 45:52Speaker 2: went to the tape. Did I just didn't think they
- 45:56Speaker 2: looked good, so I didn't try that.
- 45:58Speaker 3: If you see homemade fries and they don't look good
- 46:00Speaker 3: because they don't look good because they're like golden brown
- 46:04Speaker 3: and stuff, but they're actually so.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Like five guys fries. Yeah, that's how they were. But
- 46:12Speaker 1: the seasoning, the secret is he uses a special blend
- 46:16Speaker 1: that is a lot. I can't I can never reveal
- 46:18Speaker 1: the secret. I've cooked a lot of French fries with Kevin,
- 46:19Speaker 1: but very good seasoned salt and a little bit of
- 46:23Speaker 1: a mix. It's so good. Shout out to that.
- 46:25Speaker 2: It was.
- 46:26Speaker 1: It was good and overall good times. Thank you Forully.
- 46:28Speaker 1: You guys were on your best behavior.
- 46:30Speaker 2: So did he use those potatoes that were like sitting
- 46:33Speaker 2: on that dish.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you had the potatoes and then he has a
- 46:36Speaker 1: stainless steel cutter. So you just drop the potato and
- 46:39Speaker 1: you pull a lever and they come out with fries
- 46:40Speaker 1: and then they drop into water and then you dry them.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Then you drop them in a grease.
- 46:44Speaker 3: Because I saw a bunch of potatoes and I go, well,
- 46:46Speaker 3: they're just the potato city higher.
- 46:49Speaker 1: He had a sack of potatoes the size of Ilah
- 46:51Speaker 1: I had.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you finish, I go your turn. I bet you
- 46:57Speaker 2: Avery did too. I had a lot of fun playing
- 46:59Speaker 2: cops and robbers. Yeah, were a.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Little franky and not wanting to leave. And it's funny
- 47:04Speaker 1: because the people that you were playing with are the
- 47:07Speaker 1: people that we play with in our backyard. It's our
- 47:09Speaker 1: neighbors and our cousins and our family.
- 47:11Speaker 2: But we also played with a lot of other people.
- 47:14Speaker 1: But at the end of the night when you guys
- 47:15Speaker 1: weren't wanting to leave, it because you were playing with them.
- 47:18Speaker 1: But we don't get to see them a lot, which stinks,
- 47:21Speaker 1: but we're all very, very busy. It is what it is. Yeah,
- 47:27Speaker 1: what else? What else you guys think? Anything else on
- 47:30Speaker 1: the on the pig Roast lawnmower race that you thought
- 47:34Speaker 1: was fun, funny, anything you saw that was interesting. Did
- 47:39Speaker 1: you think of the porta potties? Pretty nicest part of
- 47:41Speaker 1: Partties ever?
- 47:42Speaker 2: They were actually pretty Those were really nice.
- 47:45Speaker 1: What made it a nice port of partty? Let's hear
- 47:47Speaker 1: the isla porta potty review?
- 47:49Speaker 2: Because it wasn't dirty. Because I'm going to race this
- 47:51Speaker 2: off of my schools. Scatchy so there is a little
- 48:00Speaker 2: lever that you pull and it flushes it and you
- 48:02Speaker 2: can't see, like you can do whatever you want, like if.
- 48:07Speaker 1: You need to pee or or the other one yeh to.
- 48:11Speaker 2: You can flush it and then nobody can see that.
- 48:15Speaker 1: You did it. Yeah, So what she means is when
- 48:18Speaker 1: you normally go into a port of body and you look,
- 48:21Speaker 1: you try not to look when it's just an open thing.
- 48:23Speaker 1: And I was even talking with Meg, I'm like, why
- 48:25Speaker 1: don't they make something where it just comes to a
- 48:26Speaker 1: side department. That's what it does. Essentially. It comes in here,
- 48:28Speaker 1: funnels down. You don't see anything but plastic underneath. Got
- 48:31Speaker 1: up to that design. That's nice, But it's a trailer.
- 48:34Speaker 1: So it's two of them go up the steps.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Like it's and there's a sink and there's a sink.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Yeah, which you came in, got a whole bunch of
- 48:40Speaker 1: soap on your hands the first time and didn't realize
- 48:42Speaker 1: that the sink was in the middle.
- 48:44Speaker 2: Second time, I washed my hand. The first time, I
- 48:48Speaker 2: just left the soap sink in my hands. I wasn't
- 48:51Speaker 2: done with my review yet.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Oh go ahead.
- 48:53Speaker 2: There hasn't been a refill on the hand sanitizer since
- 49:00Speaker 2: three months ago.
- 49:01Speaker 1: It's been longer than that. It's more or less a
- 49:04Speaker 1: vintage piece of that. But that's our reviews, and so
- 49:09Speaker 1: let's bust out the nineties game. If you guys are ready?
- 49:13Speaker 1: Are you ready? Are you ready? All right? So, before
- 49:17Speaker 1: there was TikTok. Have you guys ever heard of that
- 49:19Speaker 1: weird app TikTok? Yeah, you could actually watch music videos
- 49:24Speaker 1: sometimes even at two in the morning, and you would
- 49:27Speaker 1: just hope that's your favorite band, what could be coming on?
- 49:31Speaker 1: What is it?
- 49:32Speaker 2: A TV?
- 49:33Speaker 1: EMTV?
- 49:35Speaker 2: If you had TVs in the nineties, we had TVs
- 49:38Speaker 2: and then they just didn't have a remote that you
- 49:41Speaker 2: can like. That's not what I was done. I wasn't done.
- 49:44Speaker 2: They didn't have a remote that you can like, go
- 49:46Speaker 2: to Netflix and you can pick what movie you're watching.
- 49:49Speaker 2: They just had to turn on channel. If you didn't
- 49:51Speaker 2: like it, then you turn off the TV. If you
- 49:52Speaker 2: like it.
- 49:53Speaker 1: No, we still had cable. You would still click the
- 49:56Speaker 1: channel with the remote. You turn the volume up, you
- 49:59Speaker 1: can st change the channel. You fell remember the big
- 50:04Speaker 1: old TV that Papa had that weighs like ten thousand
- 50:07Speaker 1: pounds with a huge back to it. Those are the
- 50:09Speaker 1: TVs that we had. There were c R two TVs.
- 50:12Speaker 2: Yeah, TV looks funny.
- 50:13Speaker 1: MTV music television.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Is it like the TV in Pepa Peg.
- 50:18Speaker 1: No, it's not an actual TV. MTV was a station
- 50:21Speaker 1: on TV. It was a channel that actually, so you know,
- 50:23Speaker 1: when you get on YouTube and you watch a music video,
- 50:26Speaker 1: they had it. I don't channel. They had a channel
- 50:29Speaker 1: that just played music videos.
- 50:31Speaker 2: I know what a music video is, but I don't
- 50:33Speaker 2: watch them. Yeah, sure, I just listened to the songs.
- 50:36Speaker 1: All right, This one, you guys should get. All right,
- 50:39Speaker 1: this in the nineties was the ultimate party game. Four colors.
- 50:43Speaker 1: You had to you had to hit them in the
- 50:44Speaker 1: right order before it sped up and made your brain explode.
- 50:50Speaker 2: A fidget spinner, not a Robots Cube. Robots Robots cute
- 51:00Speaker 2: for her to.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Stop talking, memory, So you know what, we've had one here, right,
- 51:04Speaker 1: It's like green, red, yellow, blue, and you goooo.
- 51:10Speaker 2: Four colors. I'm like, sorry, I tried to. I was
- 51:13Speaker 2: trying to think. I thought it was like a little
- 51:16Speaker 2: I don't I was trying. I kept on saying it
- 51:18Speaker 2: because I was trying to figure out what I was saying. Wrong.
- 51:20Speaker 2: I know that's not what I was saying, I don't even.
- 51:23Speaker 1: Think we had fidgets. Oh okay, is it called that? Yeah,
- 51:30Speaker 1: the thing that your cousin is pretty good at.
- 51:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it's four of them and you spun them. But
- 51:34Speaker 1: it's yeah, you're right, and those could be four colors
- 51:39Speaker 1: in some sides. All right, I get what you're saying. Yeah,
- 51:42Speaker 1: every kid in the knees begged for these shoes because
- 51:46Speaker 1: they had a thing on the tongue that people claimed
- 51:51Speaker 1: would make you jump higher. At least we thought the
- 51:55Speaker 1: kind of shoes or sneakers are these. They had something
- 51:59Speaker 1: on the hung of the shoebox. Rebox was a thing.
- 52:03Speaker 1: But you think just because you put rebox on, we
- 52:05Speaker 1: all thought that we could jump higher, squeeze the tongue
- 52:10Speaker 1: of the shoe. No crocs, Crocs weren't a thing. Crocks
- 52:14Speaker 1: are dumb. Unless they want to be a sponsor. Then
- 52:16Speaker 1: I would actually wear a pair of crocs, but they
- 52:19Speaker 1: would have to be a sponsor of the show, and
- 52:20Speaker 1: that's never going to happen. They were called pump sneakers.
- 52:25Speaker 1: Have you ever seen them? So you could actually take
- 52:28Speaker 1: like they had like a basketball or a little pump
- 52:30Speaker 1: on the shoe.
- 52:30Speaker 2: I've seen the pump up your shoes so you can
- 52:33Speaker 2: jump high.
- 52:33Speaker 1: We thought, but it didn't really make you jump higher.
- 52:38Speaker 2: So during gym class you would.
- 52:39Speaker 1: Just be like, well, I mean I never had a pair,
- 52:42Speaker 1: but a lot of the rich kids had a pair,
- 52:43Speaker 1: and you wanted them so bad.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Did you ask for them for Christmas?
- 52:48Speaker 1: Probably? But I probably wasn't a good boy and I
- 52:51Speaker 1: didn't get them.
- 52:52Speaker 2: Did you ever get cool?
- 52:54Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 52:55Speaker 2: You did?
- 52:55Speaker 1: I love Weber grilling.
- 52:58Speaker 2: No, I mean like you were you did it? Did
- 53:01Speaker 2: you get any presents? Like when Santa gives you call?
- 53:05Speaker 1: Still go on, You're in a couple of presents.
- 53:09Speaker 2: My mom, because you were bad boys?
- 53:14Speaker 1: All right? These bright, stretchy plastic things kind of look
- 53:20Speaker 1: like tattoos, but they usually go around your neck and
- 53:25Speaker 1: every these girl either worthies you knew somebody choker cher
- 53:30Speaker 1: the tattoo chokers.
- 53:34Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, they're so cold. I actually feel like sick.
- 53:41Speaker 2: I've loved them.
- 53:42Speaker 3: Make me have that feeling that pukes like right here
- 53:45Speaker 3: coming up and I just feel like.
- 53:46Speaker 1: It, like that feeling you see when you see the pigs.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Like the one that have like little designs on them,
- 53:54Speaker 2: But and then it goes around your neck and there's
- 53:56Speaker 2: like a little charm I have. I used to have
- 53:58Speaker 2: a bunch of those on my old house, but probably wereland.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Probably interesting, and they probably wouldn't fit you. When they
- 54:06Speaker 1: were at your old house, you were like two three, Yeah,
- 54:11Speaker 1: but that was fun, you guys pretty The only thing
- 54:14Speaker 1: that really got you, guys was the pump up sneakers.
- 54:17Speaker 1: We have to educate you on that. You guys are
- 54:18Speaker 1: really starting to be some nineties kids, because the nineties
- 54:21Speaker 1: are just better. Let's be honest. What you didn't have road,
- 54:24Speaker 1: so we had the landline?
- 54:26Speaker 2: Is that where you talk through a cup?
- 54:28Speaker 1: Oh no, a landline is like what Nima still has
- 54:31Speaker 1: at her house that rings on the wall.
- 54:33Speaker 5: Like what schools use did You used to have one
- 54:36Speaker 5: of those things that you could do a three way call,
- 54:39Speaker 5: so like you would calm and then somebody else would
- 54:42Speaker 5: call somebody else so you could hear them.
- 54:45Speaker 1: We're never that cool. We had in our internet. Of course,
- 54:49Speaker 1: we didn't have them on the phones. It was called
- 54:51Speaker 1: dial up. So soon you had to go press a
- 54:53Speaker 1: program and go you know what. And it was so though,
- 54:56Speaker 1: like if you want to go check your fantasy football team,
- 54:58Speaker 1: you press it, Yeah, who football? Click and wait and
- 55:02Speaker 1: wait and wait.
- 55:03Speaker 2: But that's what you you got me.
- 55:10Speaker 1: It was interesting times, but either way, that sounded pretty good.
- 55:14Speaker 1: All right, I want you guys all, I want both
- 55:17Speaker 1: of you get up real quick, carefully run over to
- 55:20Speaker 1: the fridge, and I want you to see the first
- 55:22Speaker 1: thing that you see and then carefully walk back over
- 55:26Speaker 1: here and tell everybody what you think one of the
- 55:28Speaker 1: weirdest and the first thing that pops out in your brain. Ready,
- 55:32Speaker 1: they're over at the fridge. Avery's got one, isla open
- 55:35Speaker 1: that fridge. Come back and let me see the first
- 55:38Speaker 1: thing that you see when you open that fridge. Avery's
- 55:42Speaker 1: back up first, got the first look. I go the
- 55:44Speaker 1: other way, Avery, what was the first thing you saw,
- 55:49Speaker 1: like the new mayonnaise or the old manse new man
- 55:52Speaker 1: the new maynaise?
- 55:52Speaker 2: Because it was literally got you.
- 55:55Speaker 1: It was the first thing you.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Saw, Helven's good dip, the.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Helven's good dip or the hell I said, no, but
- 56:01Speaker 1: that's the name of it.
- 56:03Speaker 2: That's why I said, Heaven.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Heaven's good dip. She's not saying, and Avery's over here
- 56:08Speaker 1: just saying.
- 56:09Speaker 2: Hell of a hella.
- 56:10Speaker 1: You played a hell of a good soccer game. Doesn't
- 56:13Speaker 1: mean it's right to say it. Now, all your teachers
- 56:15Speaker 1: and everybody's gonna be like Avery's swearing on the podcast
- 56:17Speaker 1: she's fired.
- 56:18Speaker 2: She's fired, fired from what. I can't get fired from school.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Don't get in a resource room. But either way, my.
- 56:24Speaker 2: Mom got me stuff that on accident.
- 56:29Speaker 1: That's not dirty. Let's not mail all the I know
- 56:32Speaker 1: what's the word I'm saying. We're not going to talk
- 56:34Speaker 1: about that either way. We never just have nothing going on,
- 56:38Speaker 1: do well.
- 56:38Speaker 2: I don't have anything.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Right now at the moment. Oh yeah, but it's been
- 56:44Speaker 1: a pretty chaotic week, hasn't it.
- 56:47Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 56:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I think once school started on soccer started, it
- 56:52Speaker 1: really ramped some things up. Last weekend we drove over
- 56:56Speaker 1: five hours for two soccer games and no wins, which
- 57:00Speaker 1: it's not always about winning, right, It was it was fun,
- 57:03Speaker 1: let's tell them. Friday night we were up there watching
- 57:05Speaker 1: Sissy play soccer Clayton, New York. That was an Island
- 57:07Speaker 1: Central school. What'd you think of it?
- 57:10Speaker 2: It was okay?
- 57:11Speaker 1: Yeah? What made it okay? Well?
- 57:15Speaker 2: I was comfortable on the bleachers because it was cold,
- 57:17Speaker 2: so I was wrapped up in a blanket.
- 57:19Speaker 1: Hm hmm, So that's pretty okay.
- 57:22Speaker 3: Yeah, and it was a good game because it was
- 57:24Speaker 3: like they were both like equally skilled mm hm. And
- 57:30Speaker 3: what wasn't okay is the student section was super annoying.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Oh define years set of annoying.
- 57:38Speaker 2: Super loud.
- 57:39Speaker 3: Well, I guess they weren't like annoying because not a
- 57:42Speaker 3: lot of schools have that anymore. So it was good
- 57:45Speaker 3: that they were there supporting, but they were just super loud.
- 57:48Speaker 1: They're very loud, so I'm assuming it was probably the
- 57:52Speaker 1: boys soccer team, most of them, because the boys played
- 57:55Speaker 1: before the girls, which I thought was weird. Anyways, usually
- 57:58Speaker 1: the girls play before the boys, whis pretty cool that
- 58:01Speaker 1: they did that. But yeah, it was a bunch of
- 58:02Speaker 1: them and I loved it. It was loud. They were
- 58:05Speaker 1: on some metal bleachers, they were standing, they were chanting.
- 58:08Speaker 1: I think their mascots are the Vikings or something like that, right,
- 58:11Speaker 1: so people were in Viking horns and they were going.
- 58:15Speaker 1: They were getting into it. It was fun and it
- 58:17Speaker 1: had to be a lot of fun for the girls
- 58:18Speaker 1: to play and kind of hear that as well. And
- 58:21Speaker 1: then you had two of the other friends or soccer
- 58:25Speaker 1: players that were the ball boys terrible ball boys. But
- 58:27Speaker 1: it was a lot of fun. Entertaining because the crowd
- 58:30Speaker 1: was making fun of them. Yeah, it was, and it
- 58:33Speaker 1: was a good atmosphere. They had a decent concession stand.
- 58:37Speaker 1: What do you think of the concession stand?
- 58:40Speaker 2: It was okay.
- 58:41Speaker 3: They didn't have like a lot of stuff. They didn't
- 58:45Speaker 3: have good chips.
- 58:47Speaker 1: No, you still bought chips, Yeah.
- 58:51Speaker 2: But they didn't have the good chips.
- 58:54Speaker 1: Define good chips. Just from what I understand. You're a
- 58:57Speaker 1: cool ranch to rito lover and you came back with
- 58:59Speaker 1: a of cool ranch doritos.
- 59:02Speaker 2: Yeah, but they didn't have cheese like cheese it.
- 59:07Speaker 1: I mean, cheese its isn't a common thing at most
- 59:08Speaker 1: concession stands, is it? What?
- 59:11Speaker 2: Cheese doodle things?
- 59:13Speaker 1: Cheese doodle things like cheese puffs, not cheesy not the
- 59:17Speaker 1: puffs like the cheetos. Yeah, that's the word we're looking for.
- 59:23Speaker 1: You had the cheese, right, cheetos. Cheese its got doodles,
- 59:27Speaker 1: cheese doodles, all right?
- 59:29Speaker 2: Fair?
- 59:29Speaker 1: They had nachos for four bucks, hot dog for three
- 59:33Speaker 1: or the two that I remember, bag of chips.
- 59:35Speaker 2: For a buck, hot pocket for three dogs hot pocket.
- 59:40Speaker 1: That's how it is in the commercial. You can say
- 59:42Speaker 1: just hot pocket without going hot pocket.
- 59:45Speaker 2: Yeah, because I don't watch the commercial.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Well, yeah, it's been around since before you were born. Okay, Yeah,
- 59:52Speaker 1: I like the hot pockets. They get a couple extra
- 59:55Speaker 1: concession standpoints. For me. Let's let's rank the concession stand
- 59:58Speaker 1: then one through to you want to go first or
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: do you want me to? Yeah, I'm gonna say five
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: point two. It was It was decent hot pocket creativity.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: I think at four dollars for nachos, a little high,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: three dollars for a hot dog with stinky buns, as
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: though the one little kid that was helping a little
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: over priced dollar for a twenty five cent bag of chips.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: I get it. It's concession stand. The money goes to that,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: not a ton of options. And it's not to take
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: away from the people that were running it. It's not
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: to take away from it. I just think five point
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: two is a fair fair assessment for their food and
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: price wise, in my opinion.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Sure, I was going to say five point five, but
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: I'll go six point two.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Uh, you got a one up me? Huh?
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: And nice because they're nachos. Usually I get nachos, but
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: their nachos didn't look that good.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: How did you see them?
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Because some little girl had it walking back from the
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: concession standing, I saw them go you.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Fair enough the just playing circle, cheap tortilla chips with
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: some pump cheese probably yeah, yeah, I got you all right.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: So that was Friday, and they ended up in a
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: one one tie. Like you said, really well played game,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: a lot of big hits, a lot of injuries, a
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: lot of but what it was really cool that the
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: kids got to play under the lights. That's a really
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: cool vibe. I know you haven't been able to play
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: soccer under the lights yet, but it is very fun
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: to do. So watch You've watched it quite a bit,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: and it was nice because it's still fairly warm up here.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: It's not like remember the end of the remember the
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: championship game last year when we were freezing on a.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Little but so it was pouring rain.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: Yeah that was Friday.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: And then.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: We drove to Northeast Clinton, home of the Cougars, to
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: take a very well skilled, very well coached team. And yeah,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: that was about two hours and twenty minutes except for
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: the bus because apparently the bus got a little lost.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Tell us about the bus trip without you know, dropping
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: names and too many details. I'm sure there was some
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: stuff that was fun on the bus. But tell us
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: tell us your experience on a very long road trip
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: for a soccer game on the bus. Son went by
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: pretty quick, right.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I did, because like the first half was kind
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: of longer because they're just sitting there eating and doing
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: nothing really, And then we stopped to go to the
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: bathroom at Walmart.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: They and alone, and.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: So we stopped there and then I'm ride home. We
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: I mean not the Rhindome.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Whoa you just you know what. We're like, Hey, we're
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: gonna go all the way to Malone and we're just
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: gonna turn around. I meant second half of the trip.
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: The second half to go there, and we played a
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: game on our phones.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: Like a couple of the girls.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: It was really hard for you not to say their names.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: I saw the looking I saw how you looked at me.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: Yeah, but we played the game on our phones for
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: the rest of the ride until well we got lost.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: You did too, The bus got turned around or something
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: like that.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Well, yeah, because the two coaches modified in varsity coaches
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: had the directions up, but it was bringing us to
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: the wrong place. So we turned around and we pulled
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: over to try to like reject everything.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: It must be hard with a bust full of women
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: because women think they know everything. Huh.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: Our bus driver wasn't a woman.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: I know, and he was right the whole time. I
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: bet he was.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: That's why he kept going. And then the coaches told
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: him to turn around. It's the other way, and it
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: actually wasn't.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Then how did you describe where you pulled over?
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: An old Amish buggy place?
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: So it was actually an antique store. They did have
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: an aggressive amount of Amish buggies out there. I'm assuming
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: for sale that had been fixed her. I don't know
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: what anybody wants to buy an old Amige buggy for
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: other than Amish. Maybe a yard decoration. But in the
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: varsity coach a little bit old school, went in and
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: asked for directions. Is that correct? How'd that go?
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: She get directed the directions.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: So then you guys finally made it. How'd warm ups
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: go to the field? Good to get off the bus,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: get stretched, get running?
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: Yeah, except the mountain air from up there made us
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: all like out of breath because we weren't used to
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: that kind of air.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: It's not like you're going to Denver and the elevation
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: is thousands of feet more. It wasn't that bad. I
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: think it was the fact that you guys eat a
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: lot of food on the bus.
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: No, we didn't even eat that much.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: No, just subs and apples and gatorades and popcorn and
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: pretzels and Jimmy.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: We didn't need pretzels about Jimmy. We didn't eat Jimmy
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: chongo's whatever about us?
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: You don't know what the Jimmy chong gos.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: Isn't that like a burrito thing?
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Well done. But so then he got off there. It
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: felt good to stretch the legs, everything get going right. Yes,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: ran into a pretty good team and you guys were
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: short a couple of players.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: In that field was way bigger than our field.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: It was Oh yeah, no, yep.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Even our coach said that it was bigger field.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Sure either way. Then we went out to dinner on
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: the way home to back to Malone with a couple
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: of friends and uh one of Avery's friends and teammates
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: and their families, and that was a pretty good dinner. Yeah,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: little poutine For anybody that doesn't know, Avery ranks poutines
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: everywhere she goes and what she likes, and this one
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: didn't even probably crack the top three. Did it?
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: No?
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: Would you rank it? Do you remember?
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Yeah? I ranked it a seven point three.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Seven point three out of ten. That's a pretty good score.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: I mean, that's a pretty good poutine, but not perfect.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: Would you like about it?
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: I liked the gravy. I didn't like the cheese because
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: it was like shake your cheese.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Like parmesan cheese. Yeah, I had cheese curd though, right, Nope,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: it was a mazzarella cheese. No, it wasn't straight, just
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: shaky cheese. There was a string becomes some kind of
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: melted cheese in it.
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: No, there wasn't interesting. It was all just like that
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: little bald stuff cheese curd. Oh, okay, little tiny like
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: parmesan balls.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Interesting. Huh.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: But the gravy was really good. Fries, the fries were
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: really good.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: So if it would have had some decent cheese ranked, yeah,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: I'm surprised that. I'm fairly certain that they that they
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: advertised that they have cheese curd on their poutine.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: There was no cheese curd on my poutine.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: Let's look this up here on the Google. We're gonna
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: hit some images. Guarantee you there's going to be a poutine.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Let's hit the menu. Where's the menu? So the place
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: that were should we say the place? Do you remember
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: the name?
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: Yeah? Can I say it? Most pub and groul.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Okay, so yes, it is cheese curd. It's fries topped
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: with locally produced Mayor's cheese curds and smothered in beef gravy.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: So all of them.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: The cheese skirt is not cheese skirt.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Though it's locally produced cheese. It might be different than
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: the cheese curd you're used to if it's locally so
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: it might have been chunks of cheese, but it's their version. Granted,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: this is the many that I'm looking at. This is
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: four years ago, so maybe it has changed. I'll just
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: throwing it out there.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: Too bad you didn't take a picture of my food
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: this time, and I could prove you wrong.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: I mean, I'm believing you. You are the poutine review queen,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: So okay, all right? And I had the pizza was
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: pretty good, interesting, all right, well, good food, good enough
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: that I actually ate there twice that day with mag
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: We ate there for lunch and ended up back there
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: at dinner because we ended up at some other restaurant
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: that Avery picked and my friend and We ended up
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: in the middle in a restaurant that the food looked fantastic.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: They had a little bit of wild music. It was busy.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: There wasn't a single seat at the place, so there
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: was well there was one or.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Two two, there was six seats and there was, but
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: there were seven of us.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Yeah, so it didn't quite work out.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: And well, my friend's little brother could have shout on
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: the floor.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: You could bring somebody with a restaurant make him sit
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: on the floor. I'm just kidding, you know, you weren't.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: So we ended up driving down Lover's Lane, past Shear's Lane,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: ended up at this and I was really I was
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: kind of excited because I thought the food looked pretty
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: good there.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: I don't know that your.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: My mashed potatoes are sucker boys. So yeah, so we
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: get there, I get back all in all good week,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: then a little basketball Sunday, and then we roll into
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: the week and Tuesday was a little chaotic at school.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: It was supposed to be picture day. You got all
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: dialed up, got the hair curled, looking ready for pictures
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: and what happened at your school?
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: But we have a capitol project going on outside, like
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: because we're getting a new high school gym and it
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: was raining, so they just kept setting the fire alarm
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: off and.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: Off and off and all that we all a lot
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: of people.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: Were counting and it went off forty times today, believable.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Oh, they ended up having to let them out early dismissal,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: so all the parents going full on scramble mode. And
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: thanks to a NIMA, I was able to come in
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: and grab avery. But yeah, just a chaotic day. And
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: then of course now didn't get the pictures taken. Just
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: pure chaos. And then you got to think that staff too,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: just pure chaos in their world, having to enter different protocols,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: the cafeteria people having to hurry up and shell out
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: lunch super super quick to get everybody at least a
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: meal that needs one. It's a pretty forgettable day, a
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: day that everybody is going to be fairly thankful to
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: be done with and get some sleep, because it was
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: probably a long day for a lot of people, not
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: only the construction workers, the kids, the teachers, everybody.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: The electricians that had to come and try to fix
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: our firel arms.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Yeah, so hopefully they have it all squared away for
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: the next day and you guys can go about your business.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Get back to soccer practice and we're on the road
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: for a couple of Sissies games. Avery's got a bye week.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: Isn't that weird? There's just no soccer games this week.
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really weird. And Sissy has like five games,
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: so pretty close.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Yeah, three is closest to five. But it's gonna be
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: a fun week of practice for you. The spirits are
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: good for Sissy and uh yeah, hopefully you guys continually
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: have fun because before you know it, soccer will be done.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: We'll be in the gym playing basketball. But we and
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: thank you to you Avery. You were able to come
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: to a couple of practices help coach the four through
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: six youth program that we're continually trying to help out with.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: And I think it's cool to, you know, have have
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: someone like you that has been in the program for
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: many years be able to get back and help out.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: And I think they really look up to So how
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: how am I doing as a coach?
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: Good?
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Just good? What could I do better? More push ups?
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: What that's the key to a good basketball team? More fushups?
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: What I was gonna say, being last mean, but you're
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: not mean.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: Yeah, We're there to enjoy and just kind of continually
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: push some wisdom. Yes, there'll be some serious moments, but
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: at the end of the day, we're just here to
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: make them fall in love with the game. And do
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: you think there's a lot of people that are first
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: year We got a lot of first year players. Do
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: you think they're they're slowly falling in love with the
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: game of basketball?
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: That wasn't very confident. Yeah, well that was weird. Is
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: that my voice? Yeah?
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: Was it?
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: That's not what I sound like.
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: Is it? No? You sound like?
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: Yeah, unreal, you're just peanut butter and jelly that I
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: got a new purple whistle? What's up? How did it
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: sound in there?
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: Really loud?
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pretty good. Good. Got the point across. And
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: speaking of coaching, if anybody does want to check out
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: what came out this week, Avery was a little little
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: something you were you were maybe looking at today?
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: Yeah, what was it? Your book?
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: We got a new book, collor what's the name of
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: the book.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: Not Every Kid Goes Proud, Not.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: Every Kid Goes pro by Matt Clear, available on Amazon.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: If you got Amazon Kindle unlimited, you can read it
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: for free.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: I read it for free. Just read the sample and
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: it gives you the whole book. No, it doesn't gave me.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: That's a problem either way. Go read the sample, go
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: check it out. If you do want to buy the paperback,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: that would be cool too. For some reason, though, Amazon
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: can just override the prices. I put it in there
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: for nine to ninety nine and I looked today and
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: it was forty nine to fifty. Apparently it's that good.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: But I would not pay forty nine fifty for it.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: If you do, thank you so much. I will personally
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: send you an autograph or something in one of the books,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: because that is crazy. So we're getting that straightened around.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: But yeah, super excited to kind of take because I've
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: coached for twenty one years. Isn't that wild? Avery, Yeah,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: So I just kind of put my take, my opinions,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: and put together not x's and o's. Not a playbook,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: not a how to win, how to do this, just
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: some good information. You're gonna read the rest of it. Yeah, perfect,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: And on eleven eleven, everybody's stay tuned. There's something cool coming.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: That's what we're gona leave. We're gonna leave on a cliffhanger, right, Yeah,
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: you're pretty excited. Yeah, so also pretty pretty excited to
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: be able to put that book out no one else
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: was pretty exciting, I think for somebody in this house,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: your football team finally got to win. Yeah, the Chiefs
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: is unfortunately her team, and they got themselves their first.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: What's it like being a Chiefs fan? They play a
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: lot of primetime games, late night games? Is it pretty annoying.
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: Because they don't get to like watch the whole thing? Well,
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: I get to, but I have trouble staying awake that long.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: Yeah, they're they're late, especially on a Sunday night or
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Monday night or I think the Chiefs play on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Throughout the year. They just play all the see. Being
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: a Steelers fan, they just pretty much play at one
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: o'clock because they are supposed to stink that bad. Oh,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: I mean they're decent. They're two and one at the
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: time of the record. They shouldn't won last week, but
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: somehow they gotta win. So that means coach Tomlin is
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: gonna be mad. They are gonna work this weekend and
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: they're gonna they got they have Minnesota at home. Minnesota
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: comes to Pittsburgh. Well that'll be that should be a
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: pretty eas and Bengals by like, but the Bengals didn't
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: have Burrow.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's his poor turf toe.
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: Poor turf toe. Yeah, which is crazy because the Bengals
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: are two and one, the Steelers are two and one,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: the Ravens and the Browns are one and.
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: Two and the Chiefs won.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that's gonna be huge matchup Chiefs and Ravens this week.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: It's going to be a good game.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Meg's team.
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: Is that a primetime game as well?
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: So you get to watch it? Hopefully you're here for
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: his own football this weekend. That would be fun. Although
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: since you I'll probably have Productice's.
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: Practice on Sundays.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: They've been doing Sunday practices, so we'll get that figured away.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: What is it? What do we got here? I'm looking
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: at the schedule up four to twenty five, along with
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: the Chicago Bears and the Raiders, Colts, Rams, Jaguars, Niners.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: Colts Ram is gonna be a good game.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, I'm not like pumped for compared to that
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: Chiefs Ravens game and Raven's coming off that lost to
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: the Lions. Oh girl, if you were to say that
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: the Chiefs and the Ravens were going to play Week
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: four and they were both one and two at the
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: beginning of the season, I would think you were crazy.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: They they're football teams. Yeah, they are good. And speaking
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: of good football teams, maybe you're just doing a little
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: fantasy football this year and she might have played somebody
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: this week. How did it go in that one league
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: when you Oh, I think it was me that you beat?
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: They lost too? Sorry, was that right?
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: I only lost by ten? I mean not dan. You
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: were thirty six and I was twenty nine. Twenty nine
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: and you were one thirty.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: I was gonna say I was a little bit higher.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: So you're in advanced math. What's that more closer to ten?
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: It's pretty close to ten. Not gonna idea huh So, yeah,
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: I'll beat you, no big deal. But what do you
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: love about Sunday Funday? Obviously you got basketball in the morning,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: so you don't get to sleep in, but you get
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: to go and ball out. Keep the rest off. Describe,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: I guess, to anybody that doesn't know what kind of
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: our household is like during NFL Sunday.
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: Funday well, we have a TV in our kitchen on
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: the wall, and that is like the game. Like usually
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: it's the Steelers because usually they play on one o'clock games,
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: so usually that's the game that's on at one twenty
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: five is either it's the best matched up game. Usually
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: eight o'clock is usually the eight o'clock game.
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: And on we have like a tablet that we put
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: red zone on and watch all the scoring possessions of
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: the game.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Yeah, you like the red zone red zone channel rules,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: doesn't it? Yeah? And what else does it? You know
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: what I mean? Snacks just bad fantasy picks. We all
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: make our fun little predictions, just for fun. I mean,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: it's just it's probably my favorite day that we just
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: sent around watching football. Meg's getting into it a little
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: more that she has a team. The other two girls
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: they could care less. They just don't care about football,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: so also tries. She does. She likes the Bills and
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: Josh Allen and you know, she probably thinks he's cute,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: like you think Josh Allen is cute.
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: Jackson Dart Skeuter really okay, Jackson dit skater than Patrick Mahomes.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: Whooa, it's the first time I've ever heard you say
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: anybody's cuter than Patrick Mahomes.
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: It goes Jackson Dart, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: are on the bottom of the list.
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: Is in the bottom of the list, Actually he's before.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: You think Aaron Rodgers isn't as cute as Daniel Jones.
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: Jones is pretty cute.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: You think he's cute.
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: Interesting, No, who's on the bottom of the list.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Is that Brown's quarter Joe Flacco. Why because he's got
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: a beard and he's old.
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: He's only looks rusty.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: He looks rusty.
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: What does that even mean? You look rusty because he
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: has silver hair.
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: He's sover hair.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: Dude, Do you want to know what's crazy?
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: What?
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: He is one month older than me? He was born
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: the same year, January sixteenth. He's one year or one
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: month older than me. What is so funny? You think
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: he's old?
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: He looks so much older than you.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: That's cool. I look you young and his beard isn't
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: nearly mine.
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: Well, he can't have that beard playing football. It's gonna
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: get tugged on so hard.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: And he's just gonna make a quarterback. He just gotta
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: sometimes look up. I'll show you pictures of Brett Keesel.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: He grew nice beard during football season, shaved it off
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: after every football season for charity, and he was a
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: defensive lineman in the trenches.
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: How I feel like you could just be like playing
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: and then someone would like grab your beard and tug
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: it out of the floor.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: I don't think that happens, but maybe Brett Keyesel beard.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Let me show you this pretty sweet beard.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: Right. He played Steelers, of course.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: And he has a sweet beard. I would know I should.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: That's not long like yours, Like that's gonna stay in
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: his helmet.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: I mean, not all of it. I mean, and I
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: don't know why I never got a Brett Keesel jersey.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: I think I need to get a Brett Keesel jersey.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Zero was cut off. Yeah, I'm gonna get Brett Keezel jersey.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: That's a pretty sweet beard, right, good mustache. He would
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: grow it at the start of football season, then shave
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: it after for charity. Good guy, All right, you.
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: Shouldn't shave yards.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: I ever got no going to or good anything else
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: about football, no one. Last thing I did want to
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: talk about is the new bowling Ellie and the burg
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: You got to be one of the first people to
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: throw a ball down the lane. Pretty sweet? Yeah, would
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: you love about it?
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: The TV?
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: The TV?
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: What do you mean the score keeping TV? You don't
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: have to do it manually anymore.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: Could you keep score? If you had two bowling you could?
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: How much is a strike?
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: Ten?
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: Yeah? And then after the frame is just ten? Or
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: is there a special math, special math? Do you know
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: the special math?
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: Or you just don't never get strikes so you don't
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: have to worry about it.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: I actually do get strikes a lot.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: Okay, So how's the special math?
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: Special math? Is? You put an X in your box
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: when you get a strike, and then the next turn
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: you add a certain amount of point to your score
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: for the.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: Frame before, for the frame after. So say frame one
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: you get a strike, and frame two you get seven pins.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: Frame one you're seventeen, frame two plus seven, so you
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: would be twenty four.
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: Yeah, if you got strikes and.
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: It was just.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I'm proud of you. I didn't think you
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: would know that you've been raised, right? Do you like that?

- 1:22:37Speaker 1: sit and watch football. I'm not gonna lie to you.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: Throw a couple balls. Maybe we'll try to go out there.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: Some Sunday teachers work there. True, very true. So who
