- 0:43the photograph in two five Ransom? I can't remember Menager?

- 1:03Manager and Ransom? Oh and me, that's me Menager and
- 1:07two nine Ransom. Sorry, that's me redacted and redacted and
- 1:12one of Jeffrey's staff members in the background, Menager, turning
- 1:16to two thirteen, Is that you Ransom? Yes, that's me, Manager.
- 1:21And where you located, Ransom. I'm trying to remember specifically
- 1:25where that is on the island. I think it's near
- 1:28the main house. There was a Yeah, there was a
- 1:31fountain near the main house. Menager. Do you know whether
- 1:34you took this Ransom? I don't remember, Menager. Do you
- 1:37know whether you had this photograph on the disc? Ransom?
- 1:42I think these were one of my photos, Menager. Was
- 1:45it on the hard copy, like an actual print? Ransom?
- 1:48I can't remember. I have to double check if there
- 1:50are more copies, but I think yeah, I'm pretty sure
- 1:53this is a hard copy. Menager. Does it have a
- 1:57back like when it was developed or printed? Ransom? I
- 2:01can check, Menager. Is it back in Barcelona? Ransom? No, Menager?
- 2:06Where are all these photographs? Ransom? I have given all
- 2:09of the photographs to my lawyers. Menager? Okay, how did
- 2:12you do that? By handing them over in person? Sending
- 2:15them by mail? Ransom? Handing them over in person? Menager?
- 2:19Was this some type of photo shoot represented in Ransom
- 2:22to fourteen, two fifteen and two sixteen Ransom? Sorry to
- 2:27fourteen this is not a photo shoot. We were just
- 2:29messing around on the island, Menager. Do you know who
- 2:32you were messing around with? Ransom? We were all having
- 2:35fun together, Menager. Were there photographs of other people taken
- 2:39around the same time that you have? Ransom? I have
- 2:42given all the photos that I have, Menager. In other words,
- 2:46if you were messing around with redacted at this time,
- 2:49and there's a photo of redacted that you have, did
- 2:51you provide that? Ransom? I have provided every single photograph
- 2:55that I have, Menager? And two eighteen Was that a
- 2:59photo shoot? Ransom? That was me when I was naked actually,
- 3:03and I had a towel around me, So I think
- 3:05I just had a massage by Jeffrey because I was
- 3:08naked underneath the towel, Menager. Also to nineteen and to
- 3:13twenty Ransom, Yep, Menager, were those after a massage? Ransom? Yeah?
- 3:18You can tell I look really, really happy to be
- 3:20out of there. So Menager, do you know what trip
- 3:23that was on? Ransom? I can't remember which trip, Menager?
- 3:27And page Ransom to twenty one. Who is that in
- 3:30the photograph? Ransom? Myself redacted and redacted and a staff
- 3:35member in the background, Menager, do you know what's happening
- 3:38in two twenty three? Ransom? Oh, no, yes, So Jeffrey
- 3:42provided cosmetics for all the girls. We had to look
- 3:45our best, So that was a Krem Dela Creme facial
- 3:48mask that he regularly gave to the girls so that
- 3:51their skin was nice. We had top of the line
- 3:53cosmetics in our bathroom to use at our disposal, Menagers.
- 3:57So in two twenty three and two twenty four, or
- 4:00you're doing a facial mask, Ransom, I'm attempting to do
- 4:03a facial It's not going that well, Menager. And going
- 4:07to two twenty nine, do you know where that was taken, Ransom?
- 4:10That was on Jeffrey's speedboat to going to the island, Menager?
- 4:14Do you know when? Ransom? I don't recall which date
- 4:17that was. Menager. Did you have any contact with the
- 4:20mail on Sunday? Gurgis objection, huh, manager, did you ever
- 4:25have any contact with the mail on Sunday? Ransom? No, Gurgis,
- 4:30you mean the mail as in postage. I'm sorry, Pagliuca,
- 4:34the newspaper, Ransom, No, No, I haven't had correspondence with them, no, Manager,
- 4:40apart from miss Callahan. Have you had any contact with
- 4:43any member of the press. Ransom, Oh, I contacted redacted
- 4:46and redacted because redacted and redacted and redacted. Manager. Okay,
- 4:52did you have any contact with any other member of
- 4:54the press, Ransom? No? Menager. When was the last time
- 4:58that you saw Glenn Maxwell Ransom in New York before
- 5:01I left in two thousand and seven? Menager? How long
- 5:04before you left? Ransom? I can't remember, Menager. What time
- 5:08of year was it Ransom when I left? Menager? Yes, Ransom,
- 5:13it was the end of April. Manager. And how do
- 5:16you know that, Ransom? Because I am on some of
- 5:19the emails. I wanted to go home, actually back to
- 5:21my mom. Menager. When's the last time you spoke to
- 5:25Glaign Maxwell Ransom before I left New York? Menager? Okay,
- 5:29do you know how long before you left? Ransom? I
- 5:32can't remember, Menager. Tell me what you recall about the
- 5:35last time you saw Golean Maxwell Ransom. I can't remember, Menager,
- 5:40Where was it, Ransom? I can't remember my last interaction
- 5:43with Glaine Menager or the last time you spoke with her.
- 5:48Gergis objection, asked and answered, Ransom. I can't remember the
- 5:52last time I spoke with her. Yeah, I don't remember
- 5:54the specifics. Manager. Were you living with redacted at the
- 5:58time you last spoke to Glaine Ransom? Yes, Manager, What
- 6:03did she say to you when you last spoke to her?
- 6:05Gurgis objection, asked An answered manager, when you were living
- 6:09with or adacted? Gurgus? Objection, asked an answered Ransom. I
- 6:13can't remember, Manager. Did you speak to her about fit? Gurgis, objection,
- 6:18asked An answered Ransom. I had spoken to her numerous
- 6:21times about fit, manager, counsel, When did I already ask her?
- 6:26Did you speak to her about fit? Gurgis? You've asked
- 6:28her to this? He's cut off by Sarah Ransom herself
- 6:32several times. Manager looks at Sarah and says, I'm not
- 6:34talking to you, Gurgis. Okay, Ransom, that was rude. Gurgis,
- 6:39it was, and I'm not going to answer her question.
- 6:41Now you can proceed, Counsel, but manager keeps going When
- 6:45did I last ask her about to this? She's cut
- 6:47off by Gergis. I'm not going to answer your question.
- 6:50I'm not being deposed. I'm not arguing objections with you.
- 6:53You have asked her about it before. That's why I
- 6:55made my objection. You can proceed with your questioning whenever
- 6:58you like, Counsel. Thank you, Gergis. Feel free to search
- 7:02the transcript later. Manager, I would like to mark as
- 7:05defendant's exhibit number eight. Manager. Do you recognize defendants exhibit
- 7:11number eight? Ransom? Yes? I do. Manager. What is it? Ransom?
- 7:15They're emails? Manager. Did you find these emails and produce
- 7:19them Ransom? Yes? Manager? Where did you find them? Ransom
- 7:24on my old email account that I had during that time? Manager?
- 7:28What was your old email account? Ransom? Redacted? Manager? When
- 7:32did you stop using that email account? Ransom? I guess
- 7:35a year or a few months after. I can't recall
- 7:38when I stopped using it. Manager. Did you see on
- 7:41the first page where it says ransom zero zero four
- 7:44there are two emails in the chain which you're visible Ransom?
- 7:47That's correct, Manager, And did you produce other emails between
- 7:51those two that are not visible? Ransom? Yes? Manager? When
- 7:55did you do that, Ransom the same time I provided
- 7:58the emails originally? Manager. Okay, so you believe that you
- 8:02produced six emails of conversation between yourself and redacted mister Gergis.
- 8:08I'm going to object and ask for clarification. I'm not
- 8:11trying to give you a hard time on this one.
- 8:13When you say produced, you're asking the witness if she
- 8:16provided it to her attorneys, right, because obviously the attorneys
- 8:20produced the documents in this case, Menager, Correct, Gergis, so
- 8:25just she didn't produce anything obviously. So she's asking you,
- 8:28did you collect this email and give it to the lawyers?
- 8:31I guess is the question? Ransom? Yeah, I collected all
- 8:34all everything I had, and I gave it to my lawyers. Manager, okay,
- 8:38So you believe you gave six emails between yourself and
- 8:41redacted and redacted to your attorneys. Ransom, Yes, I gave
- 8:46all my evidence, Manager, okay. And to this Gurgus once
- 8:50again objects. I'm going to object to the last question,
- 8:54also as misrepresenting the testimony, Menager, what was misrepresenting what testim? Gurgis,
- 9:01you're saying that she gave six emails. Manager, Well, let's
- 9:04go back then and get the testimony, right, Manager, Ransom,
- 9:08zero zero four? How many emails between yourself and redacted?
- 9:12Did you see total? There's one at one o four am. Correct, Gurgis, Council,
- 9:17you're doing the exact same thing that I just tried
- 9:20to avoid confusion on. Right, there's a difference between what
- 9:23was produced to you and apparently, and you're saying that
- 9:27six emails were produced to you. Manager interrupts them. No,
- 9:30I'm not saying that, gurgis which he's providing to her council. Manager. No,
- 9:35I'm not saying that. So I'm trying to get it straight.
- 9:38Right now, Manager, there's an email indicated on the first
- 9:41page from redacted to you at one o four am
- 9:44on February third, two thousand and seven. Correct Ransom, Yeah, Manager,
- 9:50And you can read the text of that email, correct Ransom, Yes,
- 9:53I can. Manager. And that next email down says Ransom
- 9:57at four oh seven at four oh one p Ransom, Yes, Manager.
- 10:03Can you read that email? Ransom? No, because it's on Yahoo.
- 10:06It's a technological thing. You can't read all the emails Managers,
- 10:10So did you produce the February four seven, four oh
- 10:13one pm email from yourself to redact it and redact
- 10:16it to your attorneys. Mister gergis objection to the use
- 10:20of the word produce. Ransom. I've given all my email
- 10:24correspondences to my lawyers. Manager, did you give that email
- 10:28to your lawyer. Ransom. I've given all of my emails
- 10:31to my lawyers. Manager, Okay, the next email down, says
- 10:35Sarah Ransom, February fifth, two thousand and seven, at ten
- 10:38o nine pm. Can you read the text of that
- 10:40email on this document? Ransom? Yeah? Manager, What does the
- 10:45ten o nine pm email say? Ransom? As I've specified before,
- 10:49this is a screenshot, okay, of the actual Yahoo email.
- 10:53This is a screenshot, so technically I can't read that anyways,
- 10:57seeing as it's a screenshot. Okay, Ransom, this isn't a computer.
- 11:02I can't tap into that email on a page because
- 11:05it's a screenshot. Manager. Did you give a February sixth,
- 11:09two thousand and seven, two am email between yourself and
- 11:12redacted and redacted to your attorneys? Ransom? I have handed
- 11:16all my evidence to my attorneys. Manager. Did you give
- 11:20a February eighth, two thousand and seven, nine to twelve
- 11:23pm email from yourself to redacted and redacted to your attorneys? Ransom?
- 11:28I have given all my evidence to my attorneys. Manager.
- 11:31I'm going to show you defendants exhibit number ten. Manager.
- 11:35Do you recognize defendants Exhibit number ten? Ransom? Yes, Manager.
- 11:39What is it, Ransom? It's an email correspondence between redacted
- 11:43and redacted and myself. Manager on the second page, Ransom
- 11:48zero zero eight. Do you see other emails with headings
- 11:50but no text visible in the screen shot? Ransom? Yeah? Manager.
- 11:55Did you give each one of those emails to your attorneys? Ransom?
- 11:58I have given all my core respondence to my attorneys. Manager.
- 12:02Do you see in the smartview column on the left
- 12:04side a folder named redacted Ransom? Yes? I do, Manager.
- 12:10Does that folder contain your correspondence with redacted? Ransom? I
- 12:14didn't even know that folder was there, but I presume so,
- 12:17which is why I would have created it in the
- 12:19first place. Manager. And it also shows a substantial number
- 12:23of documents in your inbox Ransom, Yeah. Manager. Did you
- 12:26search your inbox for documents responsive to the subpoena that
- 12:30I showed you a little while ago, Ransom, I did.
- 12:33I wanted to be thorough with my research, so during
- 12:35the first frame went through every single email. Manager, you
- 12:39went through each one, Ransom. I went through all of
- 12:42my emails to make sure that I gave all my
- 12:44evidence to my lawyers. Manager. Did you search for keywords
- 12:48or did you just read each email, Ransom. I read
- 12:51each email, Manager, And did you print out each email? Ransom?
- 12:54I didn't print out. I saved them to a USB
- 12:56stick Manager, all of them, or just the ones that
- 12:59you think you were needed, Ransom, Just the ones that
- 13:02were for just anything related to Jeffrey I sent over, Manager,
- 13:07And I think you testified earlier you believe you still
- 13:10have your FIT application in an email, Ransom. I haven't
- 13:13read it. I'm assuming I have it, Menager, I want
- 13:16to show you defendants Exhibit number eleven Maureen Callahan article
- 13:21was marked for identification, Ransom. Oh it's the ninth of October. Sorry, Manager,
- 13:26do you recognize this document? Ransom? Let me go to
- 13:30the last sentence, the catchphrase that I mentioned earlier. As
- 13:33I said earlier, I couldn't remember the contents of the
- 13:35article earlier. I do apologize. I got the date wrong
- 13:39from the sixteenth It was actually the ninth of October.
- 13:43I couldn't remember the specific date. I remember this specific
- 13:46statement that really struck a chord with me, which was
- 13:49the true number of Epstein's victims will never be known? Manager,
- 13:53do you believe this is the document by Maureen Callahan
- 13:56that you read last October that caused you to come forward, Ransom.
- 14:00I'm presuming so, because I've gone straight to the bank
- 14:04and the sentence that I told you that I remembered
- 14:07is this So I'm assuming yes, that it's the same, Manager,
- 14:11And this article had a big impact on you because
- 14:13it caused you to come forward. I think you testified earlier.
- 14:16Is that correct, Ransom? That's correct? Manager? All right? Do
- 14:21you see also on that last page, just right where
- 14:24you were, there's a little box on the left hand side.
- 14:27Can you read that out loud beginning today, Jeffrey Epstein?
- 14:30Do you see that in bold letters on the last page? Ransom? Yeah? Manager,
- 14:35Can you just read that sentence to us Ransom today?
- 14:38Jeffrey Epstein is a free man, all bit, one who
- 14:41routinely has civil lawsuits brought against them by young women
- 14:45out of court. Manager, okay, defendants Exhibit number twelve, Manager,
- 14:51do you recognize this document, Ransom? I've seen it before, yes, Manager,
- 14:55And what do you recognize it as? Ransom? It's the
- 14:58application how to apply to fit Maner. It talks about
- 15:02students applying to different parts of the school, including arts
- 15:05and design or business and technology. Do you recall if
- 15:08you were applying to a particular area at FIT or
- 15:11general admission? Ransom, I wanted to specialize in fashion designing. Manager.
- 15:18Do you know if that was a special area? Ransom? Yes,
- 15:20it was FITS, the Financial Fashion School, so yeah. Manager.
- 15:25Did you visit the building where if it is located? Ransom?
- 15:28Yes I did. Manager. Did you attend classes there? Ransom? No, Manager,
- 15:33I mean did you visit a class? I know you
- 15:35didn't enroll, but did you visit a class? Ransom? No?
- 15:38I didn't. But I went to the university and I
- 15:40had a look around. Manager. Did you take a tour?
- 15:43Ransom not per se? I mean I went around. I
- 15:46looked at the university. I didn't go on a big,
- 15:48personalized tour with a specific person, No Manager. Did you
- 15:53talk to any of the teachers there? Ransom No, I
- 15:55did not. Manager. Do you recall there being multiple steps
- 15:58for applications to fit? Ransom? There's multiple steps on any
- 16:02college application form. Manager. Do you remember what those steps
- 16:06were when you were applying? Ransom? No, Menager. Do you
- 16:10remember the original application which had details? Ransom, I can't
- 16:14remember the original application form? No Menager. Do you remember
- 16:18there being a separate say portion Ransom? Yes, I do
- 16:21remember that. Manager. Do you remember a separate portion that
- 16:25relates to students who are applying who are not US citizens? Ransom?
- 16:29I can't remember that. I can't remember the specific form. Menager.
- 16:33Do you remember filling out any special paperwork for someone
- 16:36who was applying who was not a US citizen? Ransom, No,
- 16:40there was no paperwork as such for that. Jeffrey Epstein
- 16:43was sorting that out for me with his connections that
- 16:46fit Menager. So you don't believe you filled the part
- 16:50out Gergy's objection, Ransom, I said, I can't remember filling
- 16:54that part out. Manager. Do you remember getting a copy
- 16:57of your transcript from Queen Margaret University? Ransom. I haven't
- 17:01gotten my transcripts yet, but I can get them. Manager.
- 17:04Do you remember submitting them to fit? Ransom? I can't remember. Manager.
- 17:10Did you get a degree from your school in Edinburgh
- 17:12High School? Ransom? So, I finished all my high school qualification,
- 17:16which you know. My grades were good enough to get
- 17:18into psychology and sociology in Edinburgh. Manager. What was the
- 17:23name of your high school, Ransom, grant Town Grammar School. Manager.
- 17:27Did you get a transcript from that school to provide
- 17:30to fit? Ransom. I think I was in the process
- 17:33of getting my transcripts from Queen Margaret. I did have
- 17:36a copy of my high school grades as well. When
- 17:39you fill out an application, you submit all your grades
- 17:41high school, Manager, and that's the one in Scotland. Ransom. Yes,
- 17:46that's correct, Manager. I think I've only got a couple
- 17:49more questions, but I got my piles messed up. Can
- 17:52we take a two minute break and I can get
- 17:54organized and finished? All right, folks, We're going to take
- 17:57a break here too, and in the next couple of
- 17:59episodes we'll have that final push to the summit. All
- 18:03of the information that goes with this episode can be
- 18:05found in the description box. What's up, everyone, and welcome
- 18:10back to the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going
- 18:13to pick up where we left off with the Sarah
- 18:16Ransom deposition. Manager. Do you recognize this document? Ransom? Yes?
- 18:22I do. Manager. What is it? Ransom? It was an
- 18:25email sent to my friend redacted. Manager. Is that different
- 18:29than redacted that you were with on the island? Ransom?
- 18:33I was never with redacted on the island. It was redacted. Manager.
- 18:37Do you remember testifying about someone named redacted? Ransom? Redacted
- 18:42was my friend in New York? Manager, Is that the
- 18:45same person you were writing here? Or is that a
- 18:47different person? Ransom, it's the same person. It's just I
- 18:51called her redacted. It's a redacted name. She's redacted and redacted. Manager.
- 18:57So how did you know her, Ransom? I met her
- 19:00while I was in New York? Manager. Do you know
- 19:03whether you paid for your plane ticket to come back
- 19:06to New York from South Africa in February of two
- 19:08thousand and seven? Ransom, I didn't pay for my ticket, Manager,
- 19:12you did not, Ransom, No. Manager. Do you see in
- 19:16your email exchange in defendants Exhibit thirteen that you wrote
- 19:20to redacted on February eighth of two thousand and seven,
- 19:24not going to Miami anymore clearly, and have to pay
- 19:27for my flight back. It's in the second paragraph towards
- 19:31the bottom. Ransom, Yeah, Manager, did you write that? Ransom? Yes, Manager,
- 19:36But you did not, in fact pay for your flight back? Ransom, no, Manager.
- 19:41Do you know what you meant by not going to
- 19:43Miami anymore? Clearly? Ransom? I can't remember what the whole
- 19:48Miami thing was about. It never came about, so I
- 19:51can't remember the specific details. On Miami, but it was
- 19:54via Jeffrey Epstein. Manager, Okay, how did it happen? What
- 19:59were you right? I'm going to have to pay for
- 20:01my flight back? But you did not, in fact pay
- 20:04for your flight back, Ransom, because Jeffrey Epstein and I
- 20:08had a fight about my weight. So it was probably
- 20:11during the argument the timeframe that I had the argument
- 20:15with Jeffrey, he said that he refused to pay for
- 20:18my flight back if I didn't get down to fifty
- 20:20two kilos? Manager? And how did it come about that
- 20:24you did not pay for your flight back? Ransom? I
- 20:28carried on losing weight to try and get to the
- 20:30goal that Jeffrey and Glen had set for me, which
- 20:33was fifty two kilos. Manager, How does that relate to
- 20:37payment for a flight Gurgis objection, Ransom, Well, I didn't
- 20:42pay for the flight because Jeffrey was financing me, so
- 20:45I wouldn't have had the money to pay for my
- 20:47own flight back. Manager, But you said you were going
- 20:50to have to pay for my flight back, right, Ransom,
- 20:54that's correct? Manager? And then what changed? Mister Gergis objection
- 20:58asked and answered, Ransom, I made up with Jeffrey. I
- 21:03tried to meet my target weight of fifty two kilos. Manager,
- 21:08and how did you make up with them? Ransom? I
- 21:10can't remember if it was a telephone call or email
- 21:14or a message, but there were various phone calls that
- 21:16were made to my family home from Golaine and Jeffrey
- 21:20during that timeframe. It was very delicate time because my
- 21:23family were up in arms the fact that I was
- 21:26told to be fifty two kilos, which is not it
- 21:29can't be achievable with my body frame, and they saw
- 21:31me getting very ill, and I didn't have the funds
- 21:34to buy a flight back, so I had to do
- 21:36what Golaine and Jeffrey told me to do. Manager, what
- 21:40did you do, Ransom, continue to lose weight? Manager? Did
- 21:44you see any medical professionals while you were in South Africa? Ransom? No? Manager.
- 21:50How did you communicate with Jeffrey that you had decided
- 21:52to continue losing weight? Ransom? So, Jeffrey, Golaine again, we
- 21:56all corresponded by telephone call, BBM message my house phone.
- 22:01I decided to lose weight. I was given an ultimatum
- 22:04that either I do it or I'm finished. At that point,
- 22:07I had no option. Manager, If you wanted to fly back, Ransom.
- 22:11If I wanted to fly back, I had all my
- 22:13stuff in New York. I had my life in New York.
- 22:16I was going to fit. I didn't have any finances.
- 22:19Jeffrey was funding me, so I was stuck. I either
- 22:22had to do what Klein and Jeffrey told me to do,
- 22:24or I was stuck. Really, Manager, you were stuck at
- 22:28your father in stepmother's house in South Africa where you
- 22:31grew up, Ransom. I didn't grow up with my father
- 22:34and my stepmother. Manager. You grew up in South Africa, Ransom,
- 22:38I grew up in Johannesburg. Manager. When you say you
- 22:42were stuck, you're describing a time you were in South Africa. Ransom.
- 22:46I'm describing a time I was on holiday visiting my
- 22:48family that Jeffrey paid for. Manager. Okay, did you finish
- 22:52your answer, Ransom, Sorry, I just read here. I'm describing
- 22:56a time that I was on holiday visiting my family
- 23:00that was paid for by Jeffrey and Golane. They financed
- 23:03my ticket, They financed every ticket, They financed my whole lifestyle. Manager,
- 23:08Golaane financed your ticket, Ransom. Well, they were one entity,
- 23:12Galaane is Jeffrey's right hand woman. They to that. She's
- 23:15interrupted by manager. When did Glane finance this ticket? Ransom?
- 23:20It was through Jeffrey's company that you work with. Manager.
- 23:23Did you correspond by email with Golaine about financing the ticket? Ransom? No, Manager,
- 23:29You search for emails with yourself in Glaine, correct Ransom,
- 23:33that's correct, manager, and you found none. Correct Ransom, that's correct. Manager.
- 23:38You found emails between yourself and redacted and redacted about
- 23:42the plane ticket back, correct Ransom, that's correct manager, but
- 23:47none with Golaine. Ransom. I never said once today that
- 23:50I had email communications with Golaine. Manager. But you just
- 23:54said that Glaine financed your holiday in South Africa? And
- 23:58what is your basis for saying that, gurgis objection? She
- 24:02did not say that Glaine financed it. Manager, What is
- 24:06your basis for referring to Glaine financing your holiday in
- 24:09South Africa? Gurgis objection, Ransom. So Glaine is Jeffrey's right
- 24:14hand man, so we report to her. I told them
- 24:18I wanted to go and see my family, and they
- 24:21paid for my flight. Manager. You told them when they
- 24:24were together in the same place, Ransom. I can't remember
- 24:27the specific location. I just wanted to go on holiday
- 24:30to see my family, which Gallainne and Jeffrey paid for? Manager,
- 24:34How did Gallaine pay for it? Ransom? I don't know.
- 24:37You should ask Alane manager? Did she write a check? Ransom?
- 24:41You should ask Alane manager? Did she put it on
- 24:44a credit card? Gurgez objection ransom? You should ask Alane manager,
- 24:49do you have any idea how Glainne Maxwell paid for
- 24:51your trip to South Africa? Gurge objection ransom. You should
- 24:55ask Alane manager. Is that your answer? Gurgis objection ransom?
- 25:01You should ask Glayne how she funded my ticket? Manager?
- 25:04I appreciate the tip. Do you have any information inside
- 25:06of your head about how Glaine financed your trip to
- 25:09South Africa? Gergiz Council. She has repeatedly said she has
- 25:13no idea. You keep asking her the same question, Manager, No,
- 25:17she has repeated to me that she needed I needed
- 25:21to ask my client. Gurgis hold on question Gallaine funded
- 25:25your ticket? Answer well, she was his right hand. Question
- 25:29when did Gallaine finance this ticket? Answer well, it was
- 25:32through Jeffrey's company that she worked with. Are you asking
- 25:36a different question, Council, am I misunderstanding. Manager, Yeah you are, Gurgis. Please, Manager,
- 25:43can you read the question that I asked? Requested? Portion
- 25:45of the record was read back? Ransom. In my head,
- 25:49I can't remember how she financed, how she and Jeffrey financed. Manager.
- 25:54Did you see any invoice pay by Glaine for your ticket? Ransom? No,
- 25:57but a ticket was produced which enabled me to fly
- 26:00back to my family. So a ticket was produced by
- 26:03Glaine and Jeffrey in order for me to fly home
- 26:05to see my family. Manager. How did Golaine produce a
- 26:09ticket to you? Ransom? I can't remember. Manager. Did it
- 26:13come by email? Gurgis objection, Ransom, I've provided all the
- 26:17emails that I have. Manager, that's not the question. Did
- 26:21the ticket get produced to you by Golaine by email?
- 26:24Gurgis objection, Ransom, No, Manager. Did it get sent to
- 26:28you by a courier to you from Golaine Gurgis objection, Ransom.
- 26:32I can't remember how I received the ticket specifically. Manager.
- 26:36Your final line to redact it is you must save
- 26:38some partying energy for me when I come back. Lots
- 26:41of love, Sarah correct Ransom, Yes, Manager, is that right? Ransom? Yes, Manager,
- 26:49is the first paragraph do you advise Sarah still very
- 26:52loved up, so much so that he asked me to
- 26:54move in with them, and I accepted. All good exclamation
- 26:57point exclamation point exclaming well about eight of them or ten? Ransom? Yeah, Manager,
- 27:05is that what you wrote? Ransom? Yes, that's what you wrote. Menager?
- 27:09Is that true? Ransom? Yes? Manager? Looking back at defendants
- 27:13Exhibit eight, which you testified earlier, were your communications with
- 27:17redacted or some of them? That's exhibit nine? Gurgis, we
- 27:21seem to be missing Exhibit eight from the stack, Menager.
- 27:25I checked it during the break, Gurgis, it's just out
- 27:27of order. Ransom is this defendants Exhibit eight? Menager? Eight? Ransom?
- 27:32Is this eight? Gurgis, Yes, it is. Manager. So the
- 27:36emails with redacted, maybe I wrote it down wrong. I apologize,
- 27:40Gurgis with who I'm sorry, Menager? Redacted? Ransom? That was
- 27:45exhibit Oh gosh, this is Exhibit nine between redacted and myself. Menager. Okay,
- 27:50And it's got ransom zero zero four and zero zero five.
- 27:54Is that right? Just making sure we're looking at the
- 27:56same thing on the lower right hand corner, Ransome, Yes,
- 28:00zero zero zero four Manager, All right, those are emails
- 28:04that you and redacted exchange in February of two thousand
- 28:07and seven. Correct, Ransom, that's correct, manager, and can you
- 28:12read to us the email at the bottom from you
- 28:14to a redacted on February eighth of two thousand and seven. Ransom, Hey, sweety,
- 28:20how are you? I'm busy writing my essay for Fit.
- 28:23What fun? I had a bit of a fight with Jeffrey.
- 28:25Oh well, what can you do? I meant to ask
- 28:28in my last email? Can you please email me your address?
- 28:31It looks like I'm not going to Miami either. Well,
- 28:34at least I will be back in New York. Hope
- 28:36you were all well and look forward to seeing you soon.
- 28:39Please tell he redacted. I say, hi, lots of hugs
- 28:42and kisses, Sarah. Manager. Were you writing your FIT essay
- 28:46in February two thousand and seven while you were in
- 28:48South Africa? Ransom? Yes, it took me quite some time
- 28:52writing my essay, so it was over the duration of
- 28:56to this. She's interrupted by a manager. Did you email
- 28:59your essay from South Africa to Glenn Maxwell? Ransom? I
- 29:03don't recall emailing her manager Defendants Exhibit ten. I think
- 29:08it is with redacted and redacted? Ransom, Yes, Gurgis, Hold
- 29:13on a second. Let me just find my copy, manager,
- 29:16and I show Ransom zero zero six is the first
- 29:19one in the lower right hand corner. Ransom. Yes, Manager.
- 29:24So did you correspond with redacted about faxing your fit
- 29:27application in tour on or about February eighth, two thousand
- 29:31and seven? Ransom? Yes? Manager. Did you also ask her
- 29:35to look into booking a flight for you back to
- 29:38New York? Ransom? That's correct. Manager. Did you give her
- 29:42the date you wanted to fly back? Ransom? That's correct? Manager.
- 29:46And the next email down, did you say, Hi, can
- 29:49you please phone me back? Ransom? Yes? Manager? Was that
- 29:53to redacted or to Jeffrey? Ransom? I can't remember who
- 29:57it was to. Jeffrey never corresponded directly. He either did
- 30:01it through redacted or redacted or so, I can't remember
- 30:05who phoned me back? Manager. Can you turn two pages
- 30:08back to where it says Ransom zero zero nine? Do
- 30:11you see those emails? Ransom? Yeah, mister Gergis read the emails,
- 30:17don't just manager? Did redacted ask what type of visa
- 30:21you were coming on? Student or tourist? Gurgis? Hold on, now,
- 30:25are you through with it, Ransom, Sorry, I haven't finished
- 30:28reading it yet. Manager. Did redacted ask you what type
- 30:31of visa you were coming on? Student or tourist? Ransom,
- 30:35that's correct, Manager, And what was your response? Ransom? I
- 30:40can't remember what my response was? Manager? Is it visible
- 30:44in this exhibit? Ransom? No? Manager, all right, you said
- 30:48you left New York in late April. Ransom, that's correct, Manager,
- 30:52two thousand and seven. Did you find any records reflecting
- 30:55that departure when you were going through all your emails
- 30:58and your other documents? Ransom, No, Menager, when's the last
- 31:03time you saw Jeffrey Epstein Ransom April of two thousand
- 31:07and seven. Manager. Where did you see him last? Ransom
- 31:10in New York? Manager? Where in New York? Ransom? I
- 31:14can't remember where I last saw him. Manager. Do you
- 31:18remember what happened the last time you saw him? Ransom? No,
- 31:22I can't remember what happened, Menainger. Do you know whether
- 31:25he gave you any money the last time you saw him? Ransom, No,
- 31:28he didn't give me any money. Menager. Do you know
- 31:31if he talked to you about fit the last time
- 31:33you saw him? Ransom? I didn't really want anything to
- 31:37do with Jeffrey and glean at that stage. So at
- 31:39that point I did not talk about fit anymore with him.
- 31:42I just wanted to go back home to my mom. Manager.
- 31:46And this is when you were living with redacted Ransom. Yes, Manager,
- 31:50When did you decide you didn't want to have anything
- 31:52to do with Jeffrey Epstein Ransom? After my trip to
- 31:56South Africa, my relationship deteriorated with Jeffrey Golane, so I
- 32:01didn't really want to be here anymore. Manager. When did
- 32:05you make that decision? Ransom? I was kind of toying
- 32:08with the idea of going back. I was in a
- 32:10bit of a mess after what I had been through
- 32:13with Galaan and Jeffrey. So yeah, Manager, And who purchased
- 32:17your plane ticket to London? Ransom? I think it was
- 32:20my mom. I can't remember. Manager. Were you still taking
- 32:24the medication at the time you went back, Ransom? Yes? Manager.
- 32:28And you returned from South Africa in February two thousand
- 32:31and seven, correct Ransom, that's correct, Manager, And that's when
- 32:35you made the decision to break with Jeffrey by moving
- 32:38in with redacted, correct Ransom. I wanted to distance myself
- 32:43from Jeffrey things weren't great. What he was doing was wrong,
- 32:46and what he was doing to me was wrong, and
- 32:48I got pretty depressed about it. I was in I
- 32:51was stuck in a dark hallway. I was basically being
- 32:54abused by a man, and I didn't know what to
- 32:57do where to go? Manager, Did did you have a
- 33:00bank account in New York? Ransom? Yes? I did? Manager,
- 33:04at which bank? Gurgis objection, same objection I gave at
- 33:08the beginning financial information for a non party witness. Manager,
- 33:12the name of the bank, the name of the bank. Manager,
- 33:16let me ask you this, What did you do with
- 33:18the cash you received from Jeffrey Epstein? Did you put
- 33:20it in the bank? Ransom? No? I spent it on food, cabs,
- 33:24general expenses. Manager, Where did you get the money that
- 33:27you put into the bank? Ransom? From the occasional modeling
- 33:31job that I got freelance modeling? Manager? Were you still
- 33:34modeling in the spring of two thousand and seven? Ransom? No,
- 33:38gurgis off the record and off the record. Discussions withheld.
- 33:42Then they're back on the record. But then right away
- 33:45Manager asked to go off the record again so that
- 33:47she can talk to her co council. Back on Manager,
- 33:52in February of two thousand and seven, you decided to
- 33:54make a break with Jeffrey Epstein, correct, Ransom. No, I
- 33:58didn't decide to make a break with Jeffrey Epstein. He
- 34:00let me down with fit application, and he wasn't taking
- 34:03me seriously and he wasn't following through with his end
- 34:06of the deal basically, Menager, how did he let you
- 34:09down with the fit application Ransom? Because I didn't go
- 34:12to fit Menager? And why didn't you go to fit
- 34:16Ransom because I wanted to go home back to my mom. Manager.
- 34:20When did you decide that he let you down with
- 34:22the fit application Ransom? Well, I think it was pretty
- 34:25much after that incident with Alan and the fact that
- 34:28I had been sexually abused for months on end by Jeffrey.
- 34:31I kind of wanted to call it time with him.
- 34:34I saw how he was acting with the other girls.
- 34:36I saw how they got pretty mentally messed up as well,
- 34:39for example redacted. So, Manager, and you saw that before
- 34:44you went to South Africa, Ransom, Yes, Manager, And while
- 34:48you were in South Africa, you got into a fight
- 34:50with Jeffrey Ransom, that's correct, Manager, And you didn't want
- 34:53to lose this weight, correct, Ransom. I didn't want to
- 34:56lose this weight because I would be dead if I
- 34:58weighed fifty two kilos. Manager. You didn't want to lose
- 35:02the weight in South Africa, correct Ransom. I wanted to.
- 35:06I was desperate to go to fit. I tried to
- 35:08lose as much weight as I could for Jeffrey and
- 35:10Galane Menager. While you were in South Africa, you did
- 35:14some reevaluating of your life Gurgis objection, Ransom, reevaluating my life.
- 35:20I wouldn't say I spent my holiday reevaluating my life. No, Menager,
- 35:25were you happy when you were in South Africa? Ransom?
- 35:28I was concerned because I was being asked and being
- 35:30hounded to find an eighteen year old pa for Jeffrey,
- 35:33and I knew that was wrong because he would do
- 35:36exactly the same thing to that girl that he did
- 35:38to me, and I would not let him do that
- 35:40to another girl. Manager. So when you were in South Africa,
- 35:44you decided to make a break from Jeffrey Gurgis objection, Ransom.
- 35:49I didn't decide to make a break. I decided to
- 35:51distance myself from Jeffrey. Not make a break, but to
- 35:54distance myself Manager, when you came back, you moved in
- 35:58with redacted. Ransom. That's correct, Manager, you can't remember the
- 36:02last time that you saw Jeffrey Gurgis objection. That's not
- 36:06the testimony. Ransom. No, Manager, no further questions. Thank you. Now,
- 36:12the deposition part's done here, but the two sides continue
- 36:15to go back and forth. Manager, do you have any questions, Gurgis,
- 36:19give me one second to confer. We have questions, Manager, Council,
- 36:23we're going to unfortunately, before we go off the record,
- 36:26need to leave the deposition open, just because there are
- 36:29some email documents that were referenced but not produced, and
- 36:33we can follow up and have a discussion with counsel
- 36:36about that. Gurgis, Okay, So on the record we can
- 36:39carry on the conversation certainly off the record, but while
- 36:42we're on the record, I will say that my understanding
- 36:45is that those documents were all produced to you, including
- 36:48all the emails that you asked her about and where
- 36:51are the missing emails? And she kept saying they'd been
- 36:54produced by our attorneys. My understanding is that the attorneys
- 36:58did provide them to the defense. Manager, Well, there's a
- 37:02current passport that we know was not produced. There is
- 37:05a fit application that we know was not produced, and
- 37:08I believe that there are emails that were not produced,
- 37:11and I'm happy to have the conversation continue off the record,
- 37:14but I'm telling you those are some of my recollections.
- 37:17Gergis okay. And to be clear so that I'm not misrepresenting,
- 37:21I see that I said there were documents and the
- 37:23emails I meant to clarify as in the emails I
- 37:27know we're produced. I can't speak to any other documents
- 37:30that you might want to raise a dispute about. But
- 37:33with respect to the emails that you said, my understanding,
- 37:36at least as I sit here, is that they were produced.
- 37:39That said, I think we can go off the record
- 37:41and resolve any other issues between Council and I. Well, folks,
- 37:46that's going to do it for the Sarah Ransom deposition,
- 37:49and it gives you another look behind the curtain. So
- 37:52when everybody's talking about this deposition or that deposition, guess what,
- 37:56all you folks are gonna know exactly what was in
- 38:00those depositions. So we're gonna keep it rolling with the
- 38:03next document. And that next document is gonna be Glain
- 38:07Maxwell's objection to Motion forty five, which has to do
- 38:11with depositions that Virginia was trying to get on the record,
- 38:15but Maxwell's team was saying, we're too late. So we'll
- 38:18get to that document next and we'll just keep it moving,
- 38:22all right, folks. Hope you're all having a good one,
- 38:24and like usual, all of the information that goes with
- 38:26this episode can be found in the description box.
