02. What Is the Bible?
Before we start to read the Bible, we should first define what kind of book it is. As Christians, we believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God that is clear and sufficient to prepare and equip us for the Christian life. What do these words mean? What does it mean to say the Bible is the Word of God? Inspired? Inerrant? Authoritative? Sufficient? In this episode we go through these descriptions and discuss what it means for us as we read Scripture through the lens of Story / Symbol / Spirit.
