- 0:11Speaker 1: It's going to be a big one. My name is
- 0:13Speaker 1: Paul Barrow. We'll come back in the tech path. I

- 0:57Speaker 1: let's get into it today. I want to open up
- 0:58Speaker 1: with a big clip and this first clip is going
- 1:02Speaker 1: to get in some detail around something they call the
- 1:06Speaker 1: Golden share, and I'll let the clip explain it.
- 1:09Speaker 2: I'll talk a little bit about after. Take a look.
- 1:11Speaker 3: If you own stock in a company like Tencent, you
- 1:14Speaker 3: own a share of a contract of something in the
- 1:17Speaker 3: Cayman Islands that is trying to approximate stock ownership. This
- 1:21Speaker 3: is the so called golden share.
- 1:24Speaker 4: This loophole has funneled billions of dollars in American savings
- 1:27Speaker 4: to Chinese companies. This loophole also exposes American investors to
- 1:31Speaker 4: Enron like frauds, Chinese military companies, and companies that support
- 1:35Speaker 4: egregious human rights abuses. The Select Committee also found that
- 1:39Speaker 4: numerous Chinese companies on our exchanges and in indiex funds
- 1:42Speaker 4: are on government prohibition lists.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I believe Congress should act to do you list CCP
- 1:47Speaker 3: affiliated companies until there is a parody of treatment.
- 1:50Speaker 4: We join the Select Committee and asking Congress to end
- 1:52Speaker 4: this legal fiction and delist every vie from the exchanges.
- 1:56Speaker 3: If we can own stocks in their country, they should
- 1:58Speaker 3: not be allowed to own stocks in the.
- 2:00Speaker 1: If we see d listings of some of the biggest
- 2:03Speaker 1: companies Ali Baba BYD shang Jiping. There's so many different
- 2:09Speaker 1: projects and companies that could have a major effect right now,
- 2:12Speaker 1: not only on the Chinese economy.
- 2:15Speaker 2: But globally. This could have a monster effect.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Take a look at this next clip because it'll get
- 2:19Speaker 1: into where this dominoes would stop.
- 2:22Speaker 5: Take a look how what percent of investors are even
- 2:26Speaker 5: aware of this?
- 2:27Speaker 3: So if I took ten people in the hall outside
- 2:30Speaker 3: here and ask them, do you know what a VI is?
- 2:31Speaker 6: They'd say no, do you own one? I have no
- 2:33Speaker 6: idea what that is.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Estimate that between seven hundred and eight hundred billion worth
- 2:38Speaker 3: of market cap. I'm happy to come here and scream
- 2:41Speaker 3: about it. Who would want to invest in a company
- 2:43Speaker 3: like that? Do you think I could raise any money
- 2:45Speaker 3: if I disclose that is, I have a golden share
- 2:47Speaker 3: in my structure that only I can decide all outcomes
- 2:51Speaker 3: on every single issue.
- 2:52Speaker 4: If Kevin sells his shares of his public company, you
- 2:55Speaker 4: have to disclose it immediately, right. They don't have to
- 2:59Speaker 4: do that. A foreign and insider can sell and all
- 3:02Speaker 4: of their shares in the company from day one to
- 3:04Speaker 4: day two, and you're not going to know about it
- 3:06Speaker 4: until the stock price just keeps going down. As information
- 3:09Speaker 4: leaks out. Who gets harmed by that? In private equity,
- 3:12Speaker 4: in pensions, it's in mutual funds, any of these that
- 3:16Speaker 4: whole Chinese companies can go to zero tomorrow if she
- 3:20Speaker 4: decides to do so. And I think that's what the
- 3:23Speaker 4: scariest thing is from my.
- 3:24Speaker 6: Perspective, Why are they trading?
- 3:27Speaker 2: This is a.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Huge development, But the fact that we're starting to uncover
- 3:32Speaker 1: these things. We just did a video on Meta yesterday
- 3:34Speaker 1: what we found out, and that was mind blowing.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Go back and watch that video. It'll get you upset quickly.
- 3:39Speaker 1: But the point is is that there's a lot of
- 3:41Speaker 1: things that have been happening that are just bad actors.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Bad actors that have been abusing the United States for
- 3:47Speaker 1: quite some time. This is definitely going to draw them
- 3:50Speaker 1: to the US for negotiation. Now I don't know how
- 3:52Speaker 1: much of this Trump and the administration is going to
- 3:55Speaker 1: let them get away with, because I think now it's
- 3:58Speaker 1: kind of the two pages out of the tube. Now
- 4:00Speaker 1: there's just no way back. This is getting into another scenario,
- 4:05Speaker 1: and that is the IP concern in terms of how
- 4:08Speaker 1: China has been treating that.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Take a look at this clip.
- 4:10Speaker 3: We're letting them take this capital they raise in these
- 4:13Speaker 3: markets that we can't do the same thing there. We
- 4:15Speaker 3: can't litigate there, we can't protect our IP there. They
- 4:18Speaker 3: use the courts, the American court system to litigate my
- 4:21Speaker 3: companies after they steal the IP and knock the product off,
- 4:26Speaker 3: and they don't even have to pay the compliance costs.
- 4:29Speaker 3: And still I have to compete with them. What's wrong
- 4:32Speaker 3: with this picture?
- 4:33Speaker 7: Are there any private companies in China that have the
- 4:35Speaker 7: ability to refuse a request from the CCP over business
- 4:38Speaker 7: decisions under this structure?
- 4:40Speaker 3: I'm sure they have the right to do that, and
- 4:43Speaker 3: then you don't hear from them anymore. This is a
- 4:46Speaker 3: cancerous tumor in our financial services system, and we have
- 4:50Speaker 3: good doctors here. Chop chop, let's just cut them out.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I like that, Chop chop, Let's just cut it out.
- 4:54Speaker 1: A couple of things that could be playing into this
- 4:57Speaker 1: as well. Remember there's an architecture I think that's being
- 5:00Speaker 1: built around this new financial system. You've guys got Besson
- 5:03Speaker 1: in there. Obviously, you have now Paul Atkins, who is
- 5:07Speaker 1: now confirmed by the Senate taking over at the SEC.
- 5:11Speaker 1: There are some unique nuances here that could be connecting
- 5:15Speaker 1: the dots around all of this around dlisting, and it
- 5:19Speaker 1: could have been an underway for quite some time.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Let me go to this next clip. Take a look.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Why are they still allowed to trade on our markets
- 5:26Speaker 3: when we know so very clearly that these dollars are
- 5:28Speaker 3: being used against us. Well, hopefully a new sheriff in
- 5:30Speaker 3: town forty eight hours from now, they won't be When
- 5:33Speaker 3: Atkins comes in.
- 5:34Speaker 6: Here, he is the steward of these laws.
- 5:37Speaker 3: We're going to see a lot of these delistings and
- 5:39Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to it.
- 5:40Speaker 7: That's been now long running for you know, maybe almost
- 5:44Speaker 7: a decade or so, but it's finally coming to a head.
- 5:47Speaker 7: And so either those companies are going to have to
- 5:50Speaker 7: put up or they're going to have to leave. You know,
- 5:53Speaker 7: there are listings here and girls.
- 5:55Speaker 6: For they're going to get delisted. And I don't know
- 5:58Speaker 6: why this is going on.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I know it's going on. It's going on because Wall
- 6:01Speaker 2: Street firms make money on it. Okay, that's why it's
- 6:05Speaker 2: going on.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Because they want to make money selling these stocks to
- 6:09Speaker 3: the public, and they want to make money raising money.
- 6:12Speaker 2: For Chinese companies. What else, how else is it going on?
- 6:15Speaker 2: That's how what's going on?
- 6:15Speaker 8: Wall Street?
- 6:16Speaker 2: All right, guys. Well, I think the jig is up.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I think we are at now a point in time
- 6:21Speaker 1: in which this administration has pretty much drawn the line. Now,
- 6:24Speaker 1: how much will this administration sell out the American investor
- 6:28Speaker 1: is the question? Because if they don't follow through on
- 6:30Speaker 1: this and actually move into a position that does level
- 6:35Speaker 1: the playing field, I think this would be a bad
- 6:37Speaker 1: loss for Trump. Now question is well whether or not
- 6:40Speaker 1: he will do this. Now, this also has an effect
- 6:43Speaker 1: on another major deal that is right in the crosshairs
- 6:47Speaker 1: between China and the United States, and that is TikTok.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Take a look at this clip.
- 6:51Speaker 5: How did those risks affect the bid that you constructed?
- 6:55Speaker 3: TikTok is the most unique situation in American corporate history.
- 7:00Speaker 3: We've now given a new seventy five day period. I
- 7:02Speaker 3: doubt there'll be another one. Now we have clarity. Whoever
- 7:05Speaker 3: is going to buy TikTok is not going to buy
- 7:08Speaker 3: the algorithm period, No algorithm. And I think that's great
- 7:13Speaker 3: that you've done that because it makes the competition much
- 7:17Speaker 3: and much more in focus.
- 7:18Speaker 6: Does Shijinping have a golden share?
- 7:20Speaker 3: One hundred percent? He has a golden share. There's no
- 7:24Speaker 3: other way this deal's getting done. I think that's the
- 7:27Speaker 3: case for hundreds of companies that have raised capital in
- 7:31Speaker 3: the American markets.
- 7:32Speaker 6: You may not like that. I certainly don't, but I
- 7:35Speaker 6: respect it to be a fact.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Tom Cotton went on and he basically said, listen, guys,
- 7:40Speaker 1: so this deal with TikTok is going to stand, and
- 7:42Speaker 1: there's not going to be any BS deals.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Take a look what he had to say.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Reserving the right to object because I do object to
- 7:48Speaker 5: this effort and will object to future efforts to change
- 7:51Speaker 5: the TikTok law. Many American businesses and investors are apparently
- 7:56Speaker 5: interested in buying TikTok, but whort's have surfaced that some
- 8:02Speaker 5: businesses and investors want a bad deal. These potential buyers
- 8:07Speaker 5: may ask Congress to somehow indemnify them for violating the law.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Let me say bluntly to any American who wants to
- 8:18Speaker 5: invest in some half assed TikTok deal, Congress will never
- 8:24Speaker 5: protect you from going into business with communist China. So
- 8:28Speaker 5: American businesses and investors who want to dip their beaks
- 8:32Speaker 5: in the golden TikTok fountain should think twice. Let's allow
- 8:36Speaker 5: President Trump to negotiate and see if communist China is
- 8:40Speaker 5: willing to make a deal. If not, then the law
- 8:43Speaker 5: is the law. If the TikTok deal maintains any operational
- 8:49Speaker 5: relationship with China, you'll be stuck with the consequences caveat
- 8:56Speaker 5: m tour.
- 8:58Speaker 1: All right, So listen, guys, this is a big deal
- 9:00Speaker 1: because of the fact that you're talking about a five
- 9:02Speaker 1: thousand dollars per day fine per user. There's no company
- 9:08Speaker 1: out there right now that would be able to withstand
- 9:10Speaker 1: that kind of headwind.
- 9:11Speaker 2: It is a big deal.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And this of course is at the center of where
- 9:15Speaker 1: we could see a lot more market volatility because of
- 9:18Speaker 1: these delistings, which looks as though they're going to happen.
- 9:22Speaker 1: So I want you to think about all the top
- 9:24Speaker 1: companies that are Chinese companies that are listening to the
- 9:26Speaker 1: New York Stock Exchange, the potential alternative to that in
- 9:30Speaker 1: the American version or possibly even either other global versions
- 9:34Speaker 1: of that may end up being the benefit of this. Obviously,
- 9:38Speaker 1: Congress is behind the situation of the illegal side of
- 9:42Speaker 1: TikTok being banned, but also now what's happening is the
- 9:45Speaker 1: market is starting to speak, and they themselves are also
- 9:50Speaker 1: behind what's happening with the Chinese specifically, it appears that
- 9:55Speaker 1: they were against what was going on worldwide. That's obviously
- 9:57Speaker 1: why we've seen this pause on tear. Take a look.
- 10:01Speaker 2: At this next clip.
- 10:02Speaker 3: And while we've been sitting here, my phone's been lighting up.
- 10:04Speaker 3: The market's up three thousand points. Although chaotic is getting organized.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Now I'm starting to see what's happening, and so's the
- 10:12Speaker 3: market too.
- 10:13Speaker 6: The world is one.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Thing, China is completely different, and all of us that
- 10:17Speaker 3: are involved in dealing with this and competing with it
- 10:19Speaker 3: applaud it. I can assure you I'm the voice of
- 10:22Speaker 3: millions on this that have been doing business there. A
- 10:24Speaker 3: lot of people don't like the style of the president,
- 10:26Speaker 3: and I get it. I look at it as I
- 10:28Speaker 3: don't focus on the noise. I focus on the signal.
- 10:31Speaker 3: What I'm hearing is enough. Although you know, watching the
- 10:34Speaker 3: market go up and down three thousand points a day
- 10:36Speaker 3: is people gnash their teeth. But if that's the price,
- 10:39Speaker 3: it's worth it. Finally, finally, finally, here we are with
- 10:43Speaker 3: tariffs being the excuse. But now I think she has
- 10:46Speaker 3: to come to the table and i'd like to see
- 10:48Speaker 3: tomorrow morning, four hundred percent tariffs. You're going to get delisted,
- 10:52Speaker 3: and that's going to be billions of dollars getting evaporated
- 10:55Speaker 3: off our exchanges.
- 10:57Speaker 6: If you do that.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Believe me, those boys are coming over here on an airplane.
- 11:02Speaker 3: You can't cut off people from the United States market,
- 11:04Speaker 3: the largest on Earth and capital markets without a consequence.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Amen to that one, China's response to US tariff's a
- 11:11Speaker 1: little bit misrepresented. Here's a piece from KOBEEC. China will
- 11:15Speaker 1: ignore further tariffs the increase because it's already impossible for
- 11:21Speaker 1: the Chinese market to accept the US imports and current
- 11:24Speaker 1: tariff levels. Basically what they've said, it doesn't matter. We
- 11:27Speaker 1: can't even go and do business in the US right
- 11:30Speaker 1: now at the base that it is now, it's just
- 11:32Speaker 1: narrative and signal coming across from the President simply saying
- 11:37Speaker 1: that the difference is is if these stocks are delisted,
- 11:41Speaker 1: this changes the dynamic. It is no longer a percentage
- 11:44Speaker 1: of a tariff on a dotted line. This is changing
- 11:47Speaker 1: the very economic structure of China.
- 11:50Speaker 2: This is a huge one, guys, and it's going to
- 11:52Speaker 2: be effected.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I think going to be pretty quickly in play, and
- 11:56Speaker 1: I think this is where the market is going to
- 11:58Speaker 1: be going because the volatility. Get ready for it is
- 12:01Speaker 1: going to happen. Let's go to this last clip. This
- 12:03Speaker 1: is China's response to what we're doing. And then Scott
- 12:07Speaker 1: Besson had a few things to say.
- 12:08Speaker 9: Take a look, the US has the bigger gun, and
- 12:11Speaker 9: so China ends up having more to lose from this
- 12:14Speaker 9: trade war, doesn't it?
- 12:15Speaker 8: Not at all? China is fully prepared to fight to
- 12:18Speaker 8: the very end. If the United States wants to go
- 12:21Speaker 8: in that direction of completely shutting itself out of the
- 12:24Speaker 8: Chanda market, be my guest.
- 12:26Speaker 9: Yeah, and China will lose the US market, which, as
- 12:28Speaker 9: I've said, it's fifteen.
- 12:30Speaker 3: We don't care.
- 12:31Speaker 8: We don't care. China has been here for five thousand years,
- 12:34Speaker 8: most of the time there was no United States, and
- 12:37Speaker 8: we survive and we expect to survive for another five
- 12:40Speaker 8: thousand years.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Are you willing to go that far to remove Chinese
- 12:44Speaker 3: stocks from US exchanges?
- 12:45Speaker 5: They're going to go from bad to terrible.
- 12:49Speaker 3: That which is unsustainable will be unsustainable.
- 12:52Speaker 1: There he heard it right there from the Treasury secretary.
- 12:55Speaker 1: It is going to get worse for the Chinese. And
- 12:58Speaker 1: it looks as though we may be in a position
- 13:00Speaker 1: right now, where all of these companies, including someone like
- 13:03Speaker 1: an Ali Baba could be on the chopping block. The
- 13:06Speaker 1: Chinese listed entities in right now are basically fantasy football.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Shares is coming in from Kyle Bass, who's been following
- 13:14Speaker 1: the Chinese market for quite some time. I've watched Kyle
- 13:16Speaker 1: and he's been a negative position of the sense of
- 13:19Speaker 1: where China has been able to abuse both the financial
- 13:23Speaker 1: system and the distribution system of the United States for
- 13:25Speaker 1: quite some time. I wonder what he has to say
- 13:28Speaker 1: about this. I got to get Kyle on the show anyway. Guys,
- 13:30Speaker 1: let me know how you are playing the markets right
- 13:32Speaker 1: now with all of this happening, markets are going up.
- 13:35Speaker 1: People are looking at hey, maybe everybody is unified now
- 13:37Speaker 1: behind the United States. Markets are going to continue to move,
- 13:41Speaker 1: and China is the one that needs to bring the
- 13:43Speaker 1: final you know, Domino into play. Drop some comments down below,
- 13:48Speaker 1: Make sure and jump into the diamond circle and follow
- 13:50Speaker 1: me out there on x at Paul Veron. We'll catch
- 13:53Speaker 1: you next time. Right here on tech Path, do
