An 85-year-old man from Wamego lost his life in a head-on crash on US Highway 24, struck by a pickup truck that veered into his lane. The driver, 36-year-old Zachary Obrock of Topeka, was traveling westbound in his Ford F-150, while the victim was eastbound in a Honda Civic. Obrock suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital; the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
