- 0:17Speaker 1: It is time believe your warriors outside and laugh with
- 0:22Speaker 1: us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Mallley, along with Trey
- 0:25Speaker 1: Trenholm and Raj Sharma. Today is Wednesday, August twenty seven,
- 0:30Speaker 1: two thousand, wow, twenty five. Some reason, when I wrote
- 0:35Speaker 1: it down, I put eight twenty seven twenty eight, So
- 0:39Speaker 1: no idea what's going on with my brain? So good
- 0:41Speaker 1: luck to all of us today. I do believe I
- 0:47Speaker 1: stumbled across the headline of the week. Are you guys ready, yes,
- 0:53Speaker 1: headline of the week. I dare you to find one better.
- 0:58Speaker 1: A rail operator will issue one hundred and sixteen dollars
- 1:01Speaker 1: fines for bear beating on trains. You're gonna let that
- 1:13Speaker 1: wash over us all, soak in and process.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Can you repeat that for me? Oh?
- 1:21Speaker 1: Certainly, a rail operator will issue one hundred and sixteen
- 1:28Speaker 1: dollars fines for bear beating on trains?
- 1:34Speaker 3: Say that want you to use protection?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Is that what they're calling it now? We always called
- 1:45Speaker 2: it something else?
- 1:50Speaker 1: Sorry, sir, there's no there's no fighting on the trains,
- 1:53Speaker 1: even with yourself. But if you're gonna do it, just
- 1:57Speaker 1: cover it.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yeah, at least put some glasses on it.
- 2:06Speaker 1: We'll get a sneeze guard to the to the cart
- 2:10Speaker 1: back here. Oh god, A rail operator will issue one
- 2:15Speaker 1: hundred and sixteen dollars fines for bear beating on trains.
- 2:19Speaker 1: This is how you know. I know it's a good
- 2:21Speaker 1: headline when the headline's so good I can't even read
- 2:24Speaker 1: the rest of the story yet. So here we go.
- 2:33Speaker 1: In travel news this week, airlines were sued for selling
- 2:39Speaker 1: windowless windows seats. This is what happens when you don't
- 2:42Speaker 1: preread stuff. Okay, differently, here we go. According to Singing
- 2:49Speaker 1: in Travel, bear beating so amusing and name so annoying
- 2:55Speaker 1: in practice.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I couldn't agree more.
- 3:01Speaker 1: According to see An in Travel, we reported in May
- 3:05Speaker 1: on bear beating. Bear beating is the growing trend of
- 3:12Speaker 1: playing music or video out loud on public transportation. Uh
- 3:22Speaker 1: A backlash was underway, with an opposition political party in
- 3:26Speaker 1: the United Kingdom calling for the government to issue fines
- 3:29Speaker 1: to offenders of bear beating.
- 3:35Speaker 2: What are you in for bear beating?
- 3:40Speaker 3: I'm glad you're selling me too. Bear beaters are a scourge.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 3:50Speaker 2: That's the whitest thing you've ever said in your life.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I'm a surprised you wun't shaking your pistom, telling them
- 3:57Speaker 2: get up your lawn. Urge.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I'm sick and tired all these kids bear beating.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Them my lawn.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Take that bear beaten somewhere else.
- 4:10Speaker 1: That's right.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Back in my day.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Get out of here, Ricky now. A major European rail operator,
- 4:27Speaker 1: Ireland's Oh damn it, that's Gaelic and I don't speak
- 4:32Speaker 1: that iridden loosely translates to Irish Rail, has warned customers
- 4:41Speaker 1: that its trained inspectors will issue one hundred pound fines
- 4:44Speaker 1: for etiquette crimes such as playing music without earphones, vaping,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and putting bags or feet on seats. Finds are based
- 4:53Speaker 1: on existing by laws established in nineteen eighty four, which,
- 4:55Speaker 1: among other fine print, prohibit the use of any gramophone,
- 4:59Speaker 1: wow or portable wireless or television apparatus to the annoyance
- 5:03Speaker 1: of any other person.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Yo, because I was known to bring my gramophone onto
- 5:08Speaker 2: the train, I can't travel anywhere without.
- 5:15Speaker 1: This, especially the mobile version of the gramophone. Yeah, it's
- 5:22Speaker 1: just like a backpack with the big horns to get
- 5:24Speaker 1: inside of your head.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah, this sounds like something that would be an island island.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I think it's Cork. The county cork that now allows
- 5:33Speaker 2: you to drink and drive as long as you're on
- 5:36Speaker 2: a tractor. They just got tired of arresting so many
- 5:43Speaker 2: people that were drink like drunk driving on attractors. They're like, okay, fine,
- 5:48Speaker 2: go ahead.
- 5:50Speaker 1: If it's on a tractor, it's fine. If it's in
- 5:52Speaker 1: if it's in a in a car, then that's that's
- 5:55Speaker 1: that that's no.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Go yes. But it's like it's like, hey, you can
- 5:59Speaker 2: get as waste. Does you want to be in homp
- 6:01Speaker 2: on that tractor? But don't you dare play your music?
- 6:07Speaker 2: Don't you bring that gramophone over here? Hop on your
- 6:13Speaker 2: tractor with your bottles of jamison.
- 6:17Speaker 1: In my experience on trains, I think you just kind
- 6:20Speaker 1: of corral the bear beaters into one specific car on
- 6:24Speaker 1: the train, so you just know where they are and
- 6:25Speaker 1: what they're doing, so they're you know, they're contained a circle.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Beat.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Yes, you're in the Treehouse. Visit us online at Treehouse

- 6:48Speaker 5: Eight three three Cook DFW is the phone number you
- 6:51Speaker 5: need to contact Daniel Cook and carry cook from COOKDFW
- 6:54Speaker 5: Roofing and Restoration. Eight three three Cook DFW. The website
- 6:57Speaker 5: cookdfw dot com. We talk a lot about roofing industry
- 7:00Speaker 5: because that's your bread and butter, and you do free
- 7:02Speaker 5: roof inspections for people, but you are also now making
- 7:06Speaker 5: people's outdoor dreams come true.
- 7:08Speaker 6: Absolutely, Dan, It's a very fun time when you get
- 7:10Speaker 6: to go outside in the backyard and start putting together
- 7:14Speaker 6: some ideas for folks that you know, want to use
- 7:16Speaker 6: their backyard more and they just don't know what to
- 7:19Speaker 6: do with it.
- 7:19Speaker 7: They thought they you know, it was really cool when
- 7:21Speaker 7: they went to some friend's house and they have, you know,
- 7:24Speaker 7: a nice extended patio and it's got to cover on it,
- 7:27Speaker 7: and they're able to go out there and watch TV
- 7:28Speaker 7: and they have a little beer cooler on it.
- 7:30Speaker 2: All those things.
- 7:31Speaker 7: And so when we come out and say, yeah, all
- 7:33Speaker 7: that's possible, let's let's make a design. Let's show you
- 7:35Speaker 7: what's visible. We show you some photos of previous projects.
- 7:38Speaker 7: We can measure out what your you know, expectations of
- 7:41Speaker 7: how much of the backyard you want to utilize for this,
- 7:44Speaker 7: and so that's all important stuff. And then on top
- 7:46Speaker 7: of that, right now we're gonna be running a promotion
- 7:49Speaker 7: that everybody that calls us has us come out do
- 7:52Speaker 7: an estimate show them what they could be having. They're
- 7:54Speaker 7: going to get into a promotion and at the end
- 7:56Speaker 7: of the promotion, we're going to be giving away a
- 7:58Speaker 7: big green egg.
- 7:59Speaker 2: So well, someone's going to get very lucky.
- 8:02Speaker 7: These are phenomen pieces of barbecue equipment, steamers, all kinds
- 8:06Speaker 7: of different things you can do with it. So at
- 8:07Speaker 7: the end of the promotion, somebody's going to get one
- 8:09Speaker 7: of those.
- 8:10Speaker 2: That's very cool.
- 8:10Speaker 5: And if you win that big green egg, Daniel and
- 8:13Speaker 5: his team would be happy to build you a patio, outdoor,
- 8:16Speaker 5: kitchen entertainment space to go around it. Eight three to
- 8:19Speaker 5: three cook DFW. Get that estimate right now eight three
- 8:22Speaker 5: three cook DFW or the website cookdfw dot com.

- 8:44Speaker 1: a great day. The Treehouse Show can actually make that
- 8:47Speaker 1: better too. So make the day better for a friend
- 8:49Speaker 1: or family member by sharing the show with a friend
- 8:51Speaker 1: from your favorite listening platform. Hit that share button and
- 8:54Speaker 1: send that to a friend or family member today, or
- 8:56Speaker 1: better yet, share it on social media as well. Both
- 8:58Speaker 1: are possible and tell them that you listen and laugh
- 9:01Speaker 1: to the Treehouse show. All right, Trey. Not that long
- 9:07Speaker 1: ago you went out of your comfort zone and you
- 9:10Speaker 1: did a dating event with a group called the Daity
- 9:14Speaker 1: and it was a thirty five plus event. You were
- 9:16Speaker 1: able to sneak in underneath the age cap wire at
- 9:19Speaker 1: fifty one. You had a reasonably nice time, and because
- 9:24Speaker 1: of that you have said you'd now be open to
- 9:26Speaker 1: other special event type things, especially if it has romance
- 9:31Speaker 1: as the dangling carrot at the end of it. You
- 9:34Speaker 1: even went so far as to say you might even
- 9:36Speaker 1: try speed dating in the near future. Right, Yeah, Why
- 9:40Speaker 1: are you looking at me like that with your spock
- 9:43Speaker 1: eyebrow and your hesitancy and your voice?
- 9:46Speaker 2: Oh?
- 9:47Speaker 3: I don't know, Dan, because your dating advice has been
- 9:50Speaker 3: so stellar so far it hasn Did Glenn contribute to this?
- 9:58Speaker 3: You mean Gary? Gary?
- 9:59Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Gary is the name of my chat GPT. No,
- 10:04Speaker 1: this is not a Gary thing. This is something I
- 10:06Speaker 1: found on my own, Thank you very much, that I
- 10:08Speaker 1: think might be of interest to you because you have
- 10:12Speaker 1: broadened your horizons when it comes to your romantic life,
- 10:16Speaker 1: and I think there's a possibility here. Okay, power point dating. Okay,
- 10:25Speaker 1: hear me out. This might sound a little controversial at first,
- 10:30Speaker 1: but I think there's something to this power point dating.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I first saw it on Instagram at an event taking
- 10:40Speaker 1: place in New York City, which, as we know, if
- 10:43Speaker 1: something is successful in one of the major cities in
- 10:45Speaker 1: the land, that it will eventually proliferate to the remainder
- 10:48Speaker 1: of the United States cities. So I watched a video
- 10:53Speaker 1: where people would pitch their friends are family member via
- 10:58Speaker 1: power Point to a room full of singles. In this
- 11:03Speaker 1: video that I saw, seven over seventy five people are
- 11:05Speaker 1: in attendance at a power point dating event, and individuals
- 11:11Speaker 1: would go to the front of the event and introduce
- 11:15Speaker 1: their friend or family member via power Point slide deck
- 11:20Speaker 1: in order to attract a mate or at least a date.
- 11:23Speaker 1: And I feel like, Raj, we we can get this
- 11:27Speaker 1: to Dallas, Okay, you and then you and I can
- 11:31Speaker 1: PowerPoint present our buddy Trey MM in a special way
- 11:37Speaker 1: to get him a day or perhaps since your single
- 11:41Speaker 1: as well, Raj, you two can PowerPoint to each other.
- 11:49Speaker 2: That's soundly wrong on so many levels.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Yeah, but you don't. You don't want to, You don't
- 11:54Speaker 1: want to slide deck each other. I said deck.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I mean it's true. I'll give it a shot.
- 12:07Speaker 3: We'll make bear beating. One of the slides.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Has yet to be fined for bear beating on a train.
- 12:17Speaker 3: On a park. Totally different story.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Yeah different, sorry, but yeah. This is being billed as
- 12:23Speaker 1: the most unique dating event that's fun, low pressure, and
- 12:27Speaker 1: most importantly powered by power point. It's called Pitch and Pair.
- 12:32Speaker 1: You pitch and pair friends. Friends pitch and pair their
- 12:36Speaker 1: single friend using a five minute slide deck to a
- 12:39Speaker 1: crowd of singles, hoping they can land their friend a
- 12:41Speaker 1: date or two. They claim to be growing fast and
- 12:45Speaker 1: they want you to give them suggestions on cities that
- 12:48Speaker 1: they should be attending next. I think Dallas would would
- 12:53Speaker 1: be an interesting one. Honestly, I think we could put
- 12:58Speaker 1: together a very very convincing power point for you tre.
- 13:03Speaker 3: To convince whom of what because I don't think it
- 13:08Speaker 3: would be to get.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Me a date? Yes it would, it absolutely would. And
- 13:14Speaker 1: if there's some laughs thrown in at your expense and
- 13:16Speaker 1: so men, it shows you have a good sense of humor.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Do you know how this is going to change the
- 13:21Speaker 2: landscape of dating in India? No, mo, I'm not seeing
- 13:33Speaker 2: anybody right now, I'm just doing a PowerPoint presentation.
- 13:39Speaker 1: You're right, I could actually see that going over really
- 13:41Speaker 1: well there, Yeah, it's.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Gonna change arrange marriages. It should be great. I'm so
- 13:46Speaker 2: excited about this.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Well look, I mean it's it's like you could swipe
- 13:50Speaker 1: left or right on Tinder, or you could just close
- 13:53Speaker 1: out the window at a PowerPoint dating event.
- 13:58Speaker 2: That's the wrong place for the Wi Fi to drop out.
- 14:04Speaker 2: He has poor latency. Next, sorry about this premature slide deck.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I actually think it would be a great exercise, Like,
- 14:14Speaker 1: you guys could go to one of these events together, Raj,
- 14:18Speaker 1: you could pitch Trey. Trey, you could pitch Raj. I
- 14:21Speaker 1: think it would be a beautiful thing for people, for
- 14:24Speaker 1: you guys to do. We just got to get it
- 14:27Speaker 1: to come to Dallas.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Yeah. I I'd be interested to see how it works.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I would how the like, what kind of people have
- 14:39Speaker 2: shown up to.
- 14:40Speaker 1: This is what I want to know, single people like.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Just let me listen to what Trey said about his
- 14:44Speaker 1: thirty five plus event. He said there were some very nice,
- 14:46Speaker 1: attractive people. He didn't get to talk to any of
- 14:49Speaker 1: them because he showed up half an hour late.
- 14:51Speaker 2: But on a rooftop in Dallas. But like, this is
- 14:54Speaker 2: a PowerPoint presentation in a ballroom like this is These
- 14:57Speaker 2: are people that don't leave the house much.
- 15:00Speaker 1: It was not in a ballroom. This was at a bar.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Okay, this was.
- 15:05Speaker 1: At the Holiday Inn Express conference room.
- 15:07Speaker 2: C Okay. Well, then I'm definitely not going at least
- 15:17Speaker 2: come with free breakfast, like I want to be able
- 15:20Speaker 2: to go to the breakfast buffet. And then the power
- 15:23Speaker 2: one presentation about Trey.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I love it well, I mean, everyone loves a good
- 15:27Speaker 1: origin story, especially when it comes to romance. So how'd
- 15:30Speaker 1: you guys meet? Power Point? Really really really good slide deck?
- 15:37Speaker 2: How did you meet mom? Oh? She had the sweetest
- 15:40Speaker 2: word document you've ever seen.
- 15:43Speaker 1: She really put the P and PDF.
- 15:55Speaker 3: I think I think there might be a lot of
- 15:57Speaker 3: women who more interested in the excel.
- 16:02Speaker 2: There's the guys. There's the guys that want spreadsheets, that's
- 16:04Speaker 2: for sure. Baby, What are your thoughts on f of X,

- 16:57Speaker 1: Wo we all right, big big news happened over the weekend.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Southwest Airlines really stuck their finger in some trouble yet again,
- 17:12Speaker 1: because it wasn't that long ago that Southwest Airlines announced
- 17:15Speaker 1: that bags no longer fly free, and now Southwest Airlines
- 17:20Speaker 1: has announced that fat flies double.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Okay.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Starting January twenty seven, twenty twenty six, Southwest Airlines passengers
- 17:32Speaker 1: who need more than one seat to fly safely parentheses
- 17:36Speaker 1: customer of size will have to buy a second seat
- 17:40Speaker 1: when they book.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Good.
- 17:44Speaker 1: If the flight is not full, they can apply for
- 17:47Speaker 1: a refund on that extra seat within ninety days as
- 17:50Speaker 1: long as both tickets are in the same fair class.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Can you be in two separate fair classes? Like that's
- 18:01Speaker 2: really big? Well, that's when it's time to go to
- 18:07Speaker 2: a doctor. Like I was in coach and business class simultaneously.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I broke the curtain.
- 18:22Speaker 2: That's the most brilliant thing I've ever heard. As long
- 18:25Speaker 2: as they're in the same class.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, yeah. Starting in January twenty twenty sixth Jesus Christ.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Starting in January twenty twenty six, Southwest Airlines will begin
- 18:37Speaker 1: requiring plus sized passengers to purchase two seats. Trey, you
- 18:41Speaker 1: said good, Yes, I.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I am over because there was a whole Overweight people
- 18:55Speaker 3: are the biggest problem in our society healthcare. They drive
- 18:59Speaker 3: up Obesity is the number one cause of health care issues.
- 19:03Speaker 3: That's preventable. I mean you literally could make a difference
- 19:07Speaker 3: when you fly. You're basically paying. They have to charge
- 19:10Speaker 3: for luggage now because it's it's basically a weight thing.
- 19:14Speaker 3: So yeah, I mean now that there's a whole deal
- 19:20Speaker 3: with they're mad at the GLP one because it's making
- 19:24Speaker 3: fat not uh I forgot what the term is, but
- 19:28Speaker 3: uh accepted, Yeah, something like that.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Fat. It's fat shaming.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Yeah, so Southwest Airlines has not only gotten rid of
- 19:38Speaker 1: their bags fly free, but now they're the fat shamer
- 19:41Speaker 1: of the skies. If you are against this kind of
- 19:45Speaker 1: a policy, I think most people that fly who have
- 19:50Speaker 1: been next to someone of a certain size. It's uncomfortable
- 19:56Speaker 1: for everybody. It's uncomfortable for the plus sized passenger because
- 20:00Speaker 1: because they're restricted by the seats and the arm rests
- 20:03Speaker 1: of those seats, and Southwest Airlines is part of their
- 20:05Speaker 1: statement even came out and said, look, those arm rests
- 20:08Speaker 1: are basically the boundary and if you spill over that boundary,
- 20:14Speaker 1: now you're infringing on your fellow travelers comfort, which I
- 20:19Speaker 1: think is hysterical using the word comfort in any press
- 20:21Speaker 1: release regarding an airline and travel. But they used it
- 20:25Speaker 1: because whether you're skinny or huge doesn't matter. Flying is
- 20:30Speaker 1: not typically very comfortable. It's just a matter of degrees, right,
- 20:33Speaker 1: So if you're on the lighter side and you're next
- 20:35Speaker 1: to an overweight person, that can be uncomfortable because you
- 20:38Speaker 1: don't get the arm rest.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been in a situation where I had to
- 20:43Speaker 2: deal with spillage. There's a say, young lady, but I
- 20:49Speaker 2: couldn't guess her age, but she was a she had
- 20:53Speaker 2: some girth to her, and yeah, she should have definitely
- 20:57Speaker 2: had two seats, and she pushed your likes squeezed yourself
- 21:02Speaker 2: into this middle seat, and it was I mean, everything
- 21:06Speaker 2: was going everywhere, and it was It was one of
- 21:10Speaker 2: those moments where I was like, if I can pay
- 21:11Speaker 2: for the up, if I can if they'll let me
- 21:13Speaker 2: off the plane now to go pay for the upgrade
- 21:16Speaker 2: to move I will.
- 21:19Speaker 1: And what's interesting about this shift in policy is how
- 21:24Speaker 1: are you going to enforce it? Because we all know
- 21:28Speaker 1: that when you fly and you get to the gate
- 21:31Speaker 1: or even at the ticketing counter, they have those little
- 21:34Speaker 1: bag receptacles that you're supposed to put your bags in
- 21:37Speaker 1: to see if they fit and does it fit in
- 21:39Speaker 1: the little carry on slot? Does it fit in the
- 21:42Speaker 1: personal item slash backpack slot? Is there now going to
- 21:46Speaker 1: be an additional people slot that you have to fit
- 21:49Speaker 1: into or is it going to be you have to
- 21:52Speaker 1: step on a scale. The way that you have to
- 21:55Speaker 1: put your baggage on a scale, it's very fascinating, like, okay,
- 22:00Speaker 1: you're gonna charge people. Doubt about how are you going
- 22:01Speaker 1: to enforce this? Please God, don't put this on the
- 22:04Speaker 1: gate agents. They have enough going on as it is.
- 22:07Speaker 2: I think you can do I mean, don't get me wrong.
- 22:10Speaker 2: I think you don't have to be a carnie to
- 22:12Speaker 2: figure out you can do it by sight. I can
- 22:18Speaker 2: look at you and be like that.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Airlines step right up one and all, I'm gonna gus
- 22:21Speaker 1: you're right anyway and check say if you have to
- 22:23Speaker 1: pay nubbles say ye, all right, step right up, step
- 22:25Speaker 1: right up. Welcome to the stake fairfoxes cause your weight
- 22:27Speaker 1: aed airfare one thousands.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Yes, you can look at something like I said, You
- 22:34Speaker 2: can look at somebody and be like, hmm, it's gonna
- 22:37Speaker 2: need two seats right there.
- 22:38Speaker 3: But here here's the other here's the other plus side
- 22:42Speaker 3: to this, ah ha. The videos that come out when
- 22:48Speaker 3: people do get on the plane and then they're like, oh, sorry, man,
- 22:51Speaker 3: you're gonna have to purchase an extra seat. People throwing
- 22:53Speaker 3: a fit. Oh, that's gonna be that. It's gonna be
- 22:55Speaker 3: a whole new level of airplane, you know, flying meltdown.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Yeah, TikTok's about to get good.
- 23:05Speaker 2: At least they're not They're not going to chase anybody
- 23:07Speaker 2: off the plane.

- 24:17Speaker 1: flies double. According to Southwest Airlines. In a statement to Newsweek,
- 24:24Speaker 1: Southwest Airlines said, we're updating many policies as we prepare
- 24:27Speaker 1: our operation, employees and customers for assigned seating on January
- 24:32Speaker 1: twenty seven, twenty twenty six, now back to me real quick.
- 24:35Speaker 1: So not only has Southwest Airlines made changes to its
- 24:39Speaker 1: entire business model by saying bags no longer fly free, also,
- 24:44Speaker 1: our open seating is now a thing of the past.
- 24:46Speaker 1: They're switching over to assigned seating the way the majority
- 24:49Speaker 1: of other airlines do. And if you are of a
- 24:53Speaker 1: certain size, they are going to make you buy an
- 24:56Speaker 1: extra seat. Back to their statement, to ensure we're communicating
- 25:02Speaker 1: to customers who have previously used the extra seat policy
- 25:05Speaker 1: they should purchase it at booking. They go on to say,
- 25:10Speaker 1: under the new rules, passengers must buy two seats at
- 25:13Speaker 1: the time of booking if they cannot fit within the
- 25:16Speaker 1: boundaries of the armrests of one seat. Refunds will only
- 25:20Speaker 1: be considered if the flight is not sold out, the
- 25:22Speaker 1: seats are in the same fair class, and the refund
- 25:25Speaker 1: request is submitted within ninety days of travel. This stands
- 25:28Speaker 1: in contrast to the current policy under which Southwest often
- 25:32Speaker 1: refunds the extra seat even on full flights or provides
- 25:35Speaker 1: an additional seat free of charge when space allows, leaving
- 25:39Speaker 1: some of their most loyal customers to say well, this
- 25:41Speaker 1: is another step in the wrong direction for Southwest as
- 25:44Speaker 1: being known as a customer friendly airline. Now it's all
- 25:48Speaker 1: about greed according to some. If we're being honest, travel
- 25:54Speaker 1: has almost always been subject to weight. I don't care
- 26:00Speaker 1: if it's a ship, I don't care if it's a plane,
- 26:02Speaker 1: if it's a train, I mean, even an automobile can
- 26:06Speaker 1: only carry so many people.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Well, but flying especially because there are ratio like the
- 26:14Speaker 3: way that they have to calculate the way to the plane,
- 26:17Speaker 3: you know, and then that determines how much fuel they
- 26:19Speaker 3: can put on there so you can take off.
- 26:21Speaker 2: So it's a big deal, yes, But if you want
- 26:29Speaker 2: to go blind on money, why not just have an
- 26:31Speaker 2: airline four big people. Oh yeah, right, where the seats
- 26:37Speaker 2: are already two seats.
- 26:41Speaker 1: It's interesting, that's interesting. It's an interesting thought. The thing is, though,
- 26:46Speaker 1: with the airline industry, those margins are so small. The
- 26:49Speaker 1: profit margin is not the margins of the chairs. Well okay,
- 26:52Speaker 1: also the chairs. Uh, but that's one of the that's
- 26:54Speaker 1: one of the big gripes about the airline industry is
- 26:56Speaker 1: that if you flew in the day, like if you
- 27:02Speaker 1: started flying, like we're all, you know, around fifty. The
- 27:07Speaker 1: first time I flew, I was five years old, and
- 27:09Speaker 1: I still I'm even at five years old, I remember
- 27:12Speaker 1: the plane and comparing that plane to planes of today
- 27:16Speaker 1: is like, man, airlines are dicks because they keep shrinking
- 27:19Speaker 1: the seats trying to find a way to just get
- 27:23Speaker 1: one more row on that plane. Because if they can
- 27:27Speaker 1: just get one more row on that plane, that's six bodies.
- 27:31Speaker 1: That's a small plane. That six bodies per plane, of
- 27:37Speaker 1: which they may have thousands of planes flying on a
- 27:40Speaker 1: given day, that's a lot of money. And that's why
- 27:42Speaker 1: they're squeezing us. So the thing is, though, and this
- 27:46Speaker 1: is what sucks for travelers of any size, is whether
- 27:51Speaker 1: you're overweight or considered to be of normal weight. Traveling
- 27:56Speaker 1: is not very comfortable because even if you fit in
- 28:00Speaker 1: the seat, the seat has like this much cushion.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Well, I mean Spirit, their seats are just plastic.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Hey listen, I just flew Spirit from Dallas to Vegas,
- 28:14Speaker 3: Vegas back to Dallas. Perfect experience, not a glitch.
- 28:19Speaker 2: I've never had an issue with them. American Airlines sucks. Spirit.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I've never had an issue.
- 28:25Speaker 3: With comfy front seat.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Big front seat. That big front seat is a godsend
- 28:32Speaker 1: on Spirit Airlines. There's there's no doubt about it. Now,
- 28:34Speaker 1: I will say, I'm a little nervous because my wife
- 28:38Speaker 1: and I are about to fly and we booked our
- 28:41Speaker 1: flight on American. I'm a little nervous.
- 28:46Speaker 2: American Airlines is ranked fourteenth in the world for airlines.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I can't even name thirteen other airlines.
- 28:54Speaker 2: That's exactly what I'm saying. But I like the Southwest.
- 29:00Speaker 2: You know, with the with their new policy, it seems
- 29:03Speaker 2: like it's like part of the in flight, like you know,
- 29:06Speaker 2: when they do the security stuff from all that, the
- 29:10Speaker 2: if it's a if they start talking about gastric bypass,
- 29:14Speaker 2: like if that's if that's part of the this is
- 29:17Speaker 2: brought to you by doctor now from my six hundred
- 29:19Speaker 2: pound life.
- 29:20Speaker 3: Like, I'm sure that'll be one of the big tells
- 29:25Speaker 3: is they'll tell, you know, for people, if you've had
- 29:28Speaker 3: to get had the seat belt extension extender, you need
- 29:32Speaker 3: to buy two seats.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Yeah, so sound lest is using the arm rests as
- 29:37Speaker 1: the boundary. And I'm just I'm honestly just gonna sit
- 29:40Speaker 1: back and wait for the lawsuit because you know what's
- 29:41Speaker 1: gonna happen. They're gonna say it's discriminatory, and I'll be
- 29:44Speaker 1: curious to see what the courts say about it.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Yeah, because I have like a couple of friends who
- 29:49Speaker 2: are professional wrestlers and one is seven five and three
- 29:54Speaker 2: ninety and one is six nine and ninety.
- 29:58Speaker 1: So I really want to be the person that tells
- 30:00Speaker 1: them they got to buy extra seats.
- 30:02Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. Do you want to see a
- 30:09Speaker 2: flight attendant with the claw, bring him champagne? But like
- 30:20Speaker 2: what do they do because like they barely fit on
- 30:23Speaker 2: the plane, like they have to duck. I'm like they
- 30:26Speaker 2: get like watching there was a video one of my
- 30:29Speaker 2: buddies like trying to go to the restroom and he's
- 30:32Speaker 2: the one that's like seven five, Like, what do you do?
- 30:34Speaker 2: Like he can't even like he's so hunched down. Does
- 30:38Speaker 2: he have to buy two seats now too? But he's
- 30:39Speaker 2: not overweight. Yeah, he's just a big guy.
- 30:43Speaker 1: And that's that's that's one of the unfortunate things where
- 30:45Speaker 1: there are exceptions to these rules, and what are those exceptions?
- 30:48Speaker 1: Are there going to be exceptions? What what does happen
- 30:51Speaker 1: for those guys and gals that just happen to be
- 30:54Speaker 1: really large and they might be in they might be
- 30:59Speaker 1: set on foot five but in shape.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it's very fit.
- 31:04Speaker 1: But the seven foot five or is not going to
- 31:07Speaker 1: fit on any airline.
- 31:09Speaker 2: But then can you put two little people in one seat?
- 31:12Speaker 1: Now we're talking that's one fair, that's right, because that's
- 31:20Speaker 1: that's honestly what some bu not everyone took it that far,
- 31:23Speaker 1: But there are people that are super thin that are like,
- 31:25Speaker 1: oh good, does this mean I get to pay less? No,
- 31:27Speaker 1: you'll pay normal. But if you are a family of
- 31:32Speaker 1: little people, and let's say there's four of you, There's mom, dad,
- 31:36Speaker 1: and Timmy and Kaylee and you're all little people, do
- 31:41Speaker 1: they just buy two seats.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Or instead of a row of seats? They just have
- 31:45Speaker 3: a little car. They all just jump in.
- 31:49Speaker 1: We are not capable of having a serious discussion.

- 32:46Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Let's celebrate today with some birthdays. Alec
- 32:55Speaker 1: almost at Alex Alexa Pinevega turns thirty seven today. You
- 33:00Speaker 1: might know her as kill Joy in Machette Kills starring
- 33:03Speaker 1: Danny Treo or Kylie Brenner on Nashville, but she got
- 33:07Speaker 1: her start as Carmen in the Spy Kids movies. So
- 33:12Speaker 1: Alexi Pinnavega thirty seven today. Aaron Paul, most famous as
- 33:18Speaker 1: playing Jesse on Breaking Bad. Aaron Paul is forty six today.
- 33:23Speaker 1: He's also the voice of Todd Chavez on BoJack Horseman,
- 33:27Speaker 1: which I've heard is very, very good. But I have
- 33:28Speaker 1: to admit I have not seen it. I want to.
- 33:30Speaker 1: I just I've had on my list for a long time.
- 33:33Speaker 1: I haven't quite got there. Sarah Chalk from Scrubs is
- 33:38Speaker 1: forty nine today. She was also the second Becky on Roseanne.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Such a weird thing to have on her resume. I
- 33:45Speaker 1: have a second Becky.
- 33:49Speaker 2: And they're rebooting Scrubs. They're bringing it back, are they really?
- 33:53Speaker 1: I'm not surprised. I'm kind of surprised they hadn't done
- 33:57Speaker 1: it sooner.
- 33:58Speaker 2: They tried. They tried to do like Scrubs Med School
- 34:01Speaker 2: or something like that where they were all professors. Now
- 34:03Speaker 2: okay or yeah, and that I think was half a
- 34:07Speaker 2: season or one season maybe, sobbed Yeah, take me, they're
- 34:13Speaker 2: bringing Yeah, they're bringing back Scrubs.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Any idea when that's supposed to start.
- 34:21Speaker 3: I just saw the ahead it's set to premiere. If
- 34:25Speaker 3: it is the twenty twenty five twenty six season on AB.
- 34:28Speaker 4: Good.
- 34:29Speaker 1: As long as that means fewer T mobile commercials from
- 34:32Speaker 1: those guys, I'm good with it.
- 34:35Speaker 2: I'm a big Zach Brot fan.
- 34:38Speaker 1: I am too. I think that I think those guys
- 34:40Speaker 1: are great.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Yeah, so she'll be back you'll be able to see
- 34:43Speaker 2: her back on scrubs.
- 34:46Speaker 1: So Sarah Chuck forty nine today. Jimmy Pop from the
- 34:49Speaker 1: Bloodhound Gang is fifty three today. That was a song.
- 35:00Speaker 3: They had their moment, and that you banked off those moments.
- 35:06Speaker 1: So yeah, you had to. And and when someone said, hey,
- 35:09Speaker 1: you know what, let's not only do this song as
- 35:13Speaker 1: our number one single on this album, but for the video,
- 35:17Speaker 1: we're gonna run around in the squirrel costumes. And they're like, yeah,
- 35:19Speaker 1: let's do it.
- 35:21Speaker 2: What was the B side to that album? I don't
- 35:26Speaker 2: want to know what that song was about.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Probably probably produced by the same guys that did the
- 35:31Speaker 1: legendary star Dust Cowboy turning fifty three Today, w w
- 35:37Speaker 1: E starred the Great khal Li.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Yeah see there's another guy like seven two seven three.
- 35:45Speaker 2: He was a police officer in India. Good God, before
- 35:50Speaker 2: he got into wrestling. Yeah, I did not know that.
- 35:56Speaker 1: I did not know the Great Kali was ever a
- 35:57Speaker 1: police officer. And please God, don't ever pull me over,
- 36:01Speaker 1: because if he pulls you over, he would actually literally
- 36:03Speaker 1: be able to pull you over.
- 36:06Speaker 2: He just stops your car with his hand. But I
- 36:08Speaker 2: think his wife. His wife is like five six five seven,
- 36:11Speaker 2: and he's that guy.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Oh, I always forget his name, but it's one of
- 36:16Speaker 1: the Magnetisms type guys, like the Strongest Man on Earth.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I think it might be the same guy that played
- 36:21Speaker 1: the Mountain or whatever it was on Game of Thrones,
- 36:24Speaker 1: but he's a Strongest Man.
- 36:26Speaker 2: On Earth competitor Magnus Samuelson.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Probably, I've seen him on Instagram. This is a guy
- 36:32Speaker 1: who's massive, right, and his wife is pocket size and
- 36:38Speaker 1: a lot of their videos are of them like at
- 36:40Speaker 1: the gym and then he's lifting his stuff and then
- 36:44Speaker 1: and then she's just kind of there sitting on top
- 36:46Speaker 1: of his weights as he lifts them. But there are
- 36:49Speaker 1: those curious videos you're like, so how.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Does that work?
- 36:55Speaker 2: Exactly? Yeah, I mean it's one of those like my
- 36:57Speaker 2: buddy who's seven to five, his dad is seven one
- 37:00Speaker 2: and his mom is five to three.
- 37:03Speaker 1: That wow.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Yeah, they they they never see each other.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Her vagina, I mean you talk about getting it coming
- 37:16Speaker 1: and going.
- 37:24Speaker 2: He wasn't born seven five.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Well, I don't think he was born of average height
- 37:30Speaker 1: and weight either. He's probably still born four foot five
- 37:37Speaker 1: and that's that's a lot for a five ft three woman.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Here's your son.
- 37:43Speaker 1: He's already shaving.
- 37:47Speaker 2: He can only he can already done on a regulation goal.
- 37:52Speaker 1: You'll need to burp him, feed him, and shave his
- 37:54Speaker 1: five o'clock shadow.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Or hers uh? What's that?
- 38:00Speaker 2: That's an or hers uh?

- 39:04Speaker 1: the Dallas Police have a new recruiting effort, and I'm
- 39:06Speaker 1: not sure if it's really going to work or not.
- 39:11Speaker 1: The Dallas Police are now saying that you can wear
- 39:13Speaker 1: cowboy hats while in uniform, and they're hoping that this
- 39:19Speaker 1: will help with recruiting new officers. Dallas Police have added
- 39:23Speaker 1: cowboy hats to their recruiting sales pitch to potential officers.
- 39:27Speaker 1: They announced that officers are now approved to wear cowboy
- 39:29Speaker 1: hats while on duty.
- 39:32Speaker 3: So yeeha, I have been wondering why I have seen
- 39:38Speaker 3: DPD in cowboy hats for about the last week. That
- 39:43Speaker 3: explained it.
- 39:44Speaker 1: It's promotional, has nothing to do with policing, And I thought,
- 39:48Speaker 1: I don't think wearing a cowboy hat makes you any
- 39:50Speaker 1: better of a peace officer. It's just a different look, is.
- 39:53Speaker 2: All I thought. In cowboy etiquette, I thought you were
- 39:56Speaker 2: not supposed to wear your hat indoors or in a car.
- 40:01Speaker 1: I believe that is correct.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Yes, no, so that's an interesting recruiting tool. You can
- 40:07Speaker 2: you can have it in the front seat and then
- 40:09Speaker 2: put it on when you get out to a highway
- 40:11Speaker 2: patrol do mm hm oh okay, yeah, just like I
- 40:15Speaker 2: can't wear one. That's that would be a conflict of
- 40:17Speaker 2: interest a cowboy in an Indian at the.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Same time, that's unfair. No, you got to pick one, brouh.
- 40:34Speaker 1: This new recruiting update was shared via the Dallas Police
- 40:37Speaker 1: Department's official Facebook page, with and its Facebook recruiting page
- 40:41Speaker 1: saying something new, something New is landing at the Dallas
- 40:44Speaker 1: Police Department. Our officers are now approved to wear cowboy
- 40:48Speaker 1: hats on duty.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Woo folks.
- 40:51Speaker 1: On both pages featured the love Field Airport Unit, noting
- 40:54Speaker 1: the department is proudly bringing Texas style to Dallas skies.
- 40:58Speaker 1: The announcement included hashtag such as we are hiring, hashtag
- 41:01Speaker 1: police recruitment, hashtag women in policing, hashtag cowboy hat, and
- 41:05Speaker 1: hashtag career Opportunity. Post encourages people to apply and join
- 41:10Speaker 1: the DPD at Dallaspolice dot Net slash join DPD or
- 41:13Speaker 1: call the phone number to speak with a recruiter. No
- 41:16Speaker 1: word on whether or not they issue the cowboy hat
- 41:20Speaker 1: or if you have to provide your own, much like
- 41:22Speaker 1: most Dallas Police officers have to provide their own effing
- 41:25Speaker 1: radios that work better than the standard issued ones from DPD.
- 41:31Speaker 2: But cowboy heads also, who's like it? You know? Man?
- 41:34Speaker 2: I would totally be a comp but they won't let
- 41:37Speaker 2: me wear my hat to go to Fort Worth, I
- 41:41Speaker 2: have to put my life on the line for very
- 41:43Speaker 2: little pay.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Far be it from me to tell an entire municipality
- 41:48Speaker 1: how to do things. But I'm going to to those
- 41:53Speaker 1: in charge of Dallas police the city and at the
- 41:56Speaker 1: top level of the Dallas Police Department. Dallas Police officers
- 42:01Speaker 1: are not leaving the Dallas Police Department to go to
- 42:04Speaker 1: other departments in the area like Fort Worth so they
- 42:10Speaker 1: can wear cowboy hats. They're doing it because of better
- 42:13Speaker 1: pay and just a better overall working environment. So while
- 42:21Speaker 1: it's a nice promotional tool maybe saying oh, you wear
- 42:25Speaker 1: cowboy hats, now, keep in mind your pension is still left.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Are they giving you the hat?
- 42:33Speaker 1: That's why I said, I don't know if they're giving
- 42:34Speaker 1: you the hat or if you're supposed to provide your own. Oh,
- 42:37Speaker 1: but even then, if DPD does issue that hat, it may.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Suck discount hat also, rash.
- 42:47Speaker 1: You have any idea how many Dallas Police officers tray
- 42:49Speaker 1: and I know, and you know your fair share as well.
- 42:52Speaker 1: Every single one of them will tell you. The radios
- 42:56Speaker 1: that they use, they bought their own to use because
