playing games with you, God, and they get into the fold.

Lord, they hear your voice. They respond to the invitation

today. God, I pray that today is the

day of salvation for many. God, I pray that you will help

us to know that you are near to us and as we open up your word,

God, that you will speak to us loudly.

You will speak to us in the Hallows of our mind and the

recesses of our emotions. God, that you will stir

something within us. Lord, let us return back to our

first love. God, we remember all of the

things that you've done for us. We remember what you did for us

on the cross 2000 years ago. We remember your blood being

spilled out. God, we remember your side being

resurrected on the third day. God, we remember that you

appeared to many and you ascended to the right hand of

God Almighty Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, fill us to day.

Holy Spirit, I pray for healing to day from on high.

God make our bodies whole. God, I pray that you'll pull out

any cancer, pull out any impurities.

God, pull out all of the toxic things that are in our minds and

in our bodies, Lord, make us complete, make us whole.

God, you are the great physician.

We get out of our own understanding and we yield to

Today we step into obedience, Father, and we step into a

relationship with you, God, through Jesus Christ.

We plead the blood today. We paint the lentils of our door

God, I pray that you'll Passover us, Lord, in the day of

destruction. God, I pray that you will keep

us from the hour that is coming upon the whole world.

Lord, give us stability. Settle us today in Your Word.

Settle us today in our emotions and psyche.

God, help us to be fixated upon your face.

Eyes like fire and hair like wool in the voice of the many

multitudes. Jesus Christ, the sword coming

from your mouth. Lord, put all your enemies as a

footstool under your feet. We proclaim the name that is

Well, let's start in verse one. My little children, these things

I write unto you, that you sin not.

And if and if any man sinned, we have an advocate with the
5:50
Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

So here we can see the apostle John who wrote this book for us

to have and to house and to hold and to memorize and to meditate

upon. We can see that he's dealing
6:08
with the sin issue that is prevalent in our lives.

We will never be able to escape sin in its entirety as long as
6:18
we are in this earthly tent. We can be those who are ascetic
6:26
and who stiff arm all of the sin promptings in our lives, but
6:32
there are even the unknown sins that we commit and it takes
6:38
time. And it is the process of
6:40
sanctification and consecration that he methodically places his
6:47
finger upon the things in our lives that we're not even aware
6:51
of right now. And John wants us to know that
6:55
when we sin, not if that there is an advocate who sits at the
7:02
right hand of God and he says this one is mine.

Jesus Christ. He is our intercessor and He is
7:13
speaking to God about us and He's telling the Father that we
7:18
are covered in His blood and that we are marked with him and
7:23
with His blood and marked with His grace and his love and His
7:28
mercy. And as the death Angel comes by,

He passes over us and He's telling us that He's wanting us
7:40
to not sin at all. And that is the goal.

And if we are living in perpetual sin, this is not the
7:49
occasion O sin. This is perpetual.

This is a lifestyle of sin. We have no part with Him, two,
7:59
and He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only,

but also for the sins of the whole world.

Jesus Christ took all the sins of the entire world upon Himself

at Calvary, at Golgotha. Friends, you need to understand
8:18
that, that every sin that you have ever committed, that you
8:22
are committing or you will ever commit, He took care of it.

But here is the key to it all. You must be covered in His blood
8:34
to be passed over, friends. He is the Lamb that was slain
8:39
before the foundations of the earth, the only one found worthy
8:43
to open the scroll, friends. And for those who are trying to
8:48
behave their way into heaven, these humanitarian efforts,
8:53
friends, of giving all of your time and treasure and energy
8:56
over to all of these great causes, it'll never save you.

It'll never 'cause him to Passover you in the day of
9:04
judgment. It is only the blood of the Lamb
9:08
that covers us and makes us whole and makes us clean.

And this propitiation, this is a satisfying of God's wrath upon
9:17
the cross. And when he says the whole

world, it's available to every man, woman and child that will
9:22
come to him honestly and earnestly, and who will give up
9:26
themselves, give up their life and take up their cross and
9:30
follow him, place their full trust in Jesus Christ.

Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that God raised

him up on the third day. And all who call upon the name

of the Lord shall be saved. That is the key, your friends.

Jesus Christ is more than able to save.

His arm is not too short to save even the most despicable, vile
9:57
human being on planet earth, if they will come to Him honestly

and earnestly, if they will give up their life in exchange for
10:06
His. He took on our sin in exchange

for His righteousness, and now when we stand before a holy God,
10:14
He doesn't see any of our sins. He only sees the blood of the
10:18
Lamb upon us. Verse 3.

And hereby we do know that we know Him if we keep His
10:28
commandments. That is the a great marker.

That is the marker to know that if you belong to him or not.

And there will be many who stand before him and say, Lord, Lord,

we prophesied in your name, and we cast out demons in your name.

We perform miracles in your name.

And he will say, depart from me, for I never knew you.

It's not enough to know Jesus Christ.

It's not enough to know about him.

It's not enough to just study him.

It's not enough to approach the Word of God from academia and

from a scholastic viewpoint. We must be known by him.

Friends, this is the goal. This is our measure.

This is the mark that we press towards.

It is not enough to just know about him.
11:14
We must be known by him. And if you are his, you will
11:18
keep his commands. And that does not mean that you
11:21
will not have failures. That does not mean that you will
11:25
not send completely, but you will have the conviction that
11:29
comes from having the Holy Spirit inside of you placed as a
11:34
down payment and the Holy Spirit will speak to you.
11:37
But we must not sear our conscience and grieve the Holy
11:40
Spirit into silence. Friends, this is the key.
11:44
And you have to keep that relationship vibrant.
11:47
You have to keep your relationship with the Holy
11:49
Spirit as He speaks to you, as He nudges you, that still small
11:53
voice that tells you that that was not of Him and that is not
11:57
become coming of a site. You must continue to obey the
12:02
Holy Spirit. And as the Holy Spirit teaches
12:05
you things, we step in to the reality that God's Word is the
12:11
complete authority. But if you are grieving the Holy
12:15
Spirit and if you have seared your conscience, it does not
12:18
mean that you're not his. It just means that you'll enter
12:21
into heaven as if you escaped out of a fire, and if you truly
12:26
are His, you will be those that have conviction, and you'll do
12:31
the things that He asks you to do.

For he that says I know Him and does not keep His commandments
12:40
as a liar, and the truth is not in him.
12:44
So we can truly tell who belongs to Him and who does not.

There are many who say I know him, but they're not known by
12:51
Him. They're not actually housed and
12:53
then dwelled with the Holy Spirit.

They are the Pew warmers. They are the ones who are those

that look the part, but they don't actually cultivate a
13:11
relationship with God. And they are liars, because
13:15
they're only outwardly is, but inwardly they are lost. 5 But
13:25
whoso keeps his word, in him truly is the love of God
13:31
perfected. Hereby know we that we are in
13:36
Him. We can know that we're in Him.

Friends, we will know because we obey His word, We obey His
13:43
commandments. We actually put feet to what we
13:46
say. It is not just a duplicious
13:51
hypocrisy, friends. It is not just those who say one
13:55
thing and do another. These play actors, friends who
13:59
look the part. But you will actually be able to
14:02
know who belongs to Him, because they will exude the attributes
14:06
of Christ and what Christ did and mirrored and modeled for us
14:10
in His earthly ministry. We will do those things
14:14
ourselves. Six He that says He abides in
14:24
him ought himself also to walk, even as he walked.
14:30
We will know who belongs to Jesus, because all, not just
14:35
what they say, but what they do, will add up to the life of
14:40
Jesus, the ministry of Jesus. They will not only say that they
14:46
love him, but it will show in what they do.

Seven brothers, I write no new commandment to you, but an old
14:56
commandment which you had from the beginning.

The old commandment is the word which you have heard from the
15:04
beginning. So here John is saying that we
15:08
know all the way back in the Old Testament that we should love
15:14
our neighbor as our self. Love the Lord thy God with all
15:17
your heart, with all your mind, and with all your strength and
15:20
all the laws wrapped up in this love, love of God and love of
15:26
neighbor. And if we'll do those things,
15:29
then we will be fulfilling all of the law, friends.
15:34
So he's saying I'm not writing to you a new thing.
15:38
And then look what he says here, a again, a new commandment I
15:45
write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you, because
15:50
the darkness is past, and the true light now shines.

So here is what Jesus said at the Last Supper whenever he told
15:58
them. A new commandment I give to you,

that you love each other as I have loved you.

So here John is saying that we've known all along from the
16:09
Old Testament all the way up until Jesus to love our
16:12
neighbor. And then Jesus takes it a step
16:17
further on the last night that he is in the upper room with his
16:21
disciples, and he says, a new commandment I give to you.

So now John is stirring up this progression that Jesus wants
16:31
from us, that we will show the world that we belong to him by
16:36
the love that we have for each other.

And that is how we expel the darkness and how the light comes
16:45
in, friends, and we are the light of the world.

We're the salt, friends. And the whole world should know
16:51
that we have been with him because just as Moses, when he
16:55
spent time with God and his face was illuminated, friends, that
16:59
is how we go out into our workplaces and neighborhoods.

That's how we go out into the world, friends, with our faces
17:08
illuminated from spending time in His Word, from spending time
17:12
in prayer, from spending time in meditation and worship of the
17:16
King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

And they will know that we have been with Him, friends.

And the moon can only reflect the amount of the sun that it
17:25
takes in. And that is what we are called
17:27
to do. We take in the SON and then we
17:31
go out and we reflect that to a lost and dying world. 9 He that
17:39
says he is in the light and he hates his brother is in
17:45
darkness. Even until now, there should be
17:49
no hate within our hearts for our brothers and sisters in
17:54
Christ. And you know, there's a lot of
17:57
church hurt and there's a lot of people who would say that even
18:01
the sheep bite and don't forget about that.

But if you are looking to others to be the fulfillment of Jesus
18:11
Christ on this earth, we will be dismayed and we will be let down
18:17
and discouraged. 10 times out of 10 people are never able to
18:23
fulfill the entirety and the completeness of Jesus Christ.

We only are able to catch glimpses of it.
18:32
Even the most sold out, laid down lover of Yeshua has their
18:37
flaws. And if we are looking at the
18:40
pastor and the youth pastor, if we're looking at the religious
18:44
folk to be Jesus, then we have taken our eyes off of the only
18:51
one that can truly lead us home, which is Christ.
18:54
And he told Thomas, blessed are you because you see and believe,
18:58
but how much more blessed are they that don't see and believe?

We must keep pressing. We can't get offended, friends,
19:05
whenever there is those that are in authority over us that fail,
19:11
they have moral failures. They're caught in adultery,
19:14
they're caught in embezzling, they're caught in all kinds of
19:17
sinful, despicable behaviors. We cannot fall away, friends.
19:23
We must keep our eyes on Jesus, who is the author and the
19:27
perfector and the finisher of our faith.
19:30
That is, who is going to allow us to walk on the water, and
19:33
that is the one who is going to allow us to make it all the way
19:37
to the finish line and not fall down at the end. 10 He that
19:46
loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no occasion
19:52
of stumbling in him. That's the key, friends.
19:55
If we have hate in our heart, it is a stumbling block not only to
19:59
others, but to ourselves. We will stumble along the way,
20:04
and we're going to miss so much that God has for us.

We're going to stunt our growth in the sanctification process
20:14
when we allow hatred into our hearts.

We do not need to be those who house and to cultivate and to
20:24
feed the hatred that is of the world.

That is how the world operates. We have love, and it does not
20:33
mean that it's easy. But we choose to love.

Even when we're offended, even when people have failures, even
20:44
when things didn't turn out the way that we hoped that they
20:48
would, we continue to love. We love through people's
20:55
childish immaturity and failure to grow and to be sanctified in
21:03
Christ. And there will be some who enter
21:05
into heaven as if they escaped out of a fire, friends.
21:08
But we are called to be those that inherit and those that
21:12
actually receive this crown of life, friends.

The crown of righteousness, friends.
21:18
This imperishable crown of glory, friends.
21:22
And we push and we press towards those rewards. 11 But he that
21:31
hates his brother is in darkness, and he walks in
21:35
darkness, and he knows not where he goes, because that darkness
21:40
has blinded his eyes. That's what happens if you look
21:44
at Cain, which we're going to talk about.
21:46
But if you look at Cain, he hated his brother because his
21:49
brother's deeds were considered righteous.
21:52
And God accepted Abel's sacrifice because it was the
21:58
first and it wasn't the leftovers.

And Cain allowed hatred to enter in, and God told him that he
22:05
must deal with it before it overtook him, and it did.

And you can see how hatred blinds us.

Friends. 12 I write unto you, little children, because your
22:19
sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

All of our sins are forgiven if we are under the blood of Jesus
22:28
Christ. We need not live in
22:31
condemnation. There is no condemnation for
22:34
those that are in Christ Jesus and we are seated with Him in
22:38
heavenly places. In Christ Jesus.

You need to know that you are called a St. even whenever you
22:45
ain't. Whenever you are not doing those
22:49
things that God requires of you, He still sees you as whole and
22:53
complete. And that is whenever we have the
22:56
occasional sin. It is not a lifestyle of sin,
22:59
friends, which proves that we're not in him.

But for those of us who will sin because we will, it's not a
23:06
question of if, but when we sin. Everything has been taken care
23:11
of. And this is where so many
23:13
scholars and so many theologians and so many pastors and so many
23:17
Christians are scared to tell people that their sins are all
23:25
taken care of because it what they are fearful of is that it
23:29
will promote a lifestyle of abusing grace.

But if you truly know Jesus Christ, you will not want to do
23:36
those things. And when you do those things,
23:38
you will have conviction. 13 I write unto you, fathers, because
23:46
you have known him, that is from the beginning.

I write unto you, young men, because you have overcome the
23:53
wicked one. I write unto you, little
23:55
children, because you have known the father.

So verse 13 is 3 different camps, and we need to kind of

separate them, friends. The first one he talks about is
24:08
fathers, and he's saying to the fathers.

He's saying that we have known him.

These are those that are mature in the faith.

They have counted the cost. They've laid down all of their
24:21
childish ways. They've laid down all of the
24:23
immature impulses, friends, and they are studying the word of
24:28
God. They're using all of their time,
24:30
energy and effort in prayer and meditation and getting to know
24:34
God. And they are in the camp of
24:37
being the fathers. They are the ones that people
24:39
run to for spiritual advice, friends.

And then he goes on on to the young men because they've
24:46
overcome the wicked one. These are those that are on the
24:50
front lines. They are the ones that are going
24:52
out and they are actually doing the work of an evangelist.

They're in the harvest friends. These are the missionaries,
24:59
boots on the ground. They are the young men who are
25:03
very zealous for God. And then he talks about the
25:07
little children, because these are the ones who are just coming
25:12
into the faith. These are so precious unto him.

And these are the ones, they believe it all.

They have not been dumbed down. They have not been kicked down.

They're still very much those that read the Word and believe
25:32
the Word, and they have not lost their first love.

They're still very much in tune, and God writes to them in a very
25:44
precious and very soft way, because they haven't allowed
25:48
this world to talk them out of their faith. 14 I have written

unto you, fathers, because you have known him, that is from the

beginning. I have written unto you, young
26:03
men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,
26:07
and you have overcome the wicked. 1 So here the fathers,
26:11
they're abiding in him, they're learning from him.

These are your pastors and preachers.

These are those who are the scholars, These are those who
26:20
are the theologians in the faith.

And then these young men, they're so zealous for him,
26:25
they're going out, they're actually doing the work, and
26:29
they're stiff arming all of their lustful passions. 15 Love

not the world, neither the things that are in the world.

If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in
26:44
him. This is the cultural Babylon
26:49
system. Friends, that was instituted all
26:54
the way back at the Tower of Babel.

This is the world system that God deals with in Revelation
27:03
chapter 18. When we get there, we'll see it.

This is the culture war. This is the misinformation,
27:12
disinformation. This is the lies that are
27:15
propagated. This is how the world operates.

And we're called out of the world, friends, and we know that
27:25
we're in the world, but we're not of the world.

And it is good for the boat to be in the water, but it's not
27:30
good for the water to be in the boat.

Do not love the world. This is what he's saying, is we
27:39
have to be those who count the cost.

We're like the rich young ruler. We come to him, we ask what we
27:46
must do to inherit eternal life. He tells us to sell everything
27:51
to follow him, and we go away sad.

This is what it looks like to love the world.

We love the 401K, we love the retirement, we love the stock

market. We love the new shiny things,
28:04
friends, we love the vacations. We love all of the things of the
28:09
world. And we're glad that we don't
28:10
have to go to hell, but we're building a Kingdom here on this
28:14
earth. That's what it looks like,

friends, to love the world and the things of the world.

For we know in John 316 that God so loved the world that He gave
28:23
his one and only Son, that whosoever will believe in him
28:27
shall not perish, but will inherit eternal life.

And He is not talking about those in the world.

He's talking about the systems of the world.

Friends do not love this culture.
28:39
Do not love, do not get duped. Friends don't get LED astray by
28:45
all of the new shiny things and by all of the promises that the
28:49
enemy can never deliver on. He took Jesus this up, and he
28:52
showed them all the kingdoms and told him that he could have them
28:55
if he'll bow down and worship. That's what it looks like to
28:59
love the world, Friends. 16 For all that is in the world, the
29:05
lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life
29:12
is not of the Father, but is of the world.

So this lust of the flesh and this lust of the eyes, they
29:20
present themselves as thugs with their ski masks on and their
29:25
crowbars in hands, and you can tell who they are.

They're easily identifiable. But this pride of life, it
29:38
knocks on your door in a suit and tie, very polished and well
29:44
mannered, briefcase in hand. We let him in every time,
29:51
unknowingly, and he is a ravenous wolf in sheep's
29:56
clothing. You need to be on guard of this

pride of life as it comes in. We can very easily identify the
30:05
lust of the flesh. We say no to that, even though
30:09
we fail, even though we don't get it right.

It's easily identifiable. The lust of the eyes.

Friends are easily identifiable. Stay away from graven images.

Stay away from pornographic images.

Stay away from all of the disgusting, despicable things
30:26
that this world is telling us is OK.

And this lust of the flesh is when we actually let it go

beyond the eyes. And we are not OK with just
30:36
seeing it, but we actually want to do it.

We want to enact the things that are in our minds.

And it is disgusting and deplorable and we need to stay
30:45
away from those things. And they're easily identifiable
30:48
as sinful behaviors. But it is the pride of life that
30:57
is prevalent within the church today.

And it is the tares and the snares.

It is the briars and the thistles and the thorns that
31:09
come up, and they choke out the fruitfulness in a believer. 17

And the world passes away, and the lust of it.

But he that does the will of God abides forever.

Don't squander your inheritance for a mess of pottage.

We need to live in light of eternity.

What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, but to
31:45
lose his soul and for it to be cast into Hellfire and damnation

and eternal separation from a loving God?

It profits him nothing. And there are many who have

their ladders leaned upon the wrong house.

And they got to the top of the house and they looked and they

realized that it was on the wrong house.

We need to be building our life upon the chief cornerstone, the

rock friends of Jesus Christ. We need to stand on the Word of

God and we do not need to be talked out of our lofty high

position in Christ Jesus. And the enemy will come, and the
32:25
enemy will promise you so many things, and He could never
32:29
deliver on any of them. His only thing that He's ever
32:33
after in your life is to steal and kill and destroy.

And He'll steal your joy, and He'll kill your body, and He
32:43
will destroy marriages and families.

It is only chaos and wreckage. But in the beginning He is the
32:51
Angel of light, and He masquerades himself as good.

And we fall for it. Friends, far be it from us to
32:59
not be rooted and grounded in God's Word and to be on guard
33:03
against all of the deception and all of the trickery in the
33:07
schemes of the adversary. We will abide forever in the
33:14
presence of God Almighty because we have counted the cost and we
33:19
are the laid down lovers of Yeshua. 18 little children, it
33:28
is the last time and as you have heard that Antichrist shall come
33:35
even now. Are there many antichrists

whereby we know that it is the last time?

Here John is referencing the last days.

And if the writer of the New Testament, if they thought that

their time was the last days, how much more should we?

It's been 2000 years from the writing of this publication.

And if 2000 years ago the spirit of the Antichrist had gone out

into the world, how much more has he had a heyday in our time?

And it comes through media, friends.

It comes through amusement, friends.

And it comes through all of the false teachers and the false
