- 2:00Speaker 4: a great show sports done right the best podcast coming
- 2:04Speaker 4: out of minnesota lots going on lots to cover first
- 2:10Speaker 4: off Big, big interview tonight with my main man, the
- 2:13Speaker 4: one and only, the rookie from WDUZ FM.
- 2:17Speaker 2: In Green Bay. We're talking border battle. Week one, baby.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Green Bay, Minnesota. Skull time. We're going to get into it.
- 2:26Speaker 2: But before we get to that interview and what an
- 2:28Speaker 2: interview it is, shouts out to 7th Avenue Pizza for
- 2:32Speaker 2: their constant support of this podcast. I want to thank
- 2:35Speaker 2: them very much. And definitely make sure you get you
- 2:40Speaker 2: some of the best frozen pizza in Minnesota. And, folks,
- 2:46Speaker 2: first off, a couple things I want to get to
- 2:48Speaker 2: here because, obviously, week one NFL, we're going to get
- 2:52Speaker 2: into Vikings-Packers. But Big Ten and, you know, coming off
- 2:57Speaker 2: that Michigan debacle last week with Western Michigan getting hosed.
- 3:04Speaker 2: You know, Michigan, huge game, huge game for the quarterback.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Huge game for the program post-hardball there as Oklahoma comes
- 3:14Speaker 2: to town 12 noon. And Oklahoma, number 11 in the country. Michigan,
- 3:19Speaker 2: by the way, tumbled out of the rankings. So, you know,
- 3:24Speaker 2: in that game, man, you just feel bad for Western.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I'm not going to spend a lot of time on it.
- 3:28Speaker 2: It was last week. But we all know Western Michigan
- 3:32Speaker 2: should have gotten that victory, deserved that victory. Don't give
- 3:36Speaker 2: me this clock BS nonsense. This one had a second
- 3:39Speaker 2: on it. What I saw didn't have any time on it,
- 3:42Speaker 2: but okay, whatever. Penn State, they're in Philadelphia. They're at Temple.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Mississippi State and Minnesota we're going to talk about in
- 3:52Speaker 2: a quick second. The other game coming up, the battle
- 3:58Speaker 2: for the state south of us, Iowa State, the Cyclones.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Cy Hawk winners last year. See if they can go
- 4:08Speaker 2: down to Iowa City, number 21 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes. That
- 4:13Speaker 2: game's on NBC tomorrow night, 7.30. As is Ohio State
- 4:19Speaker 2: and Texas, man. College football is back. And I'm going
- 4:22Speaker 2: to be locked and loaded to both of those games. Obviously,
- 4:25Speaker 2: I know a lot of Iowa people. Shout out Andrew Hayes.
- 4:29Speaker 2: He actually invited me to this game, but I got
- 4:31Speaker 2: some family stuff popping off this weekend. So I will
- 4:35Speaker 2: stay put, but... I'm telling you, man, Iowa State, one
- 4:38Speaker 2: of the best rivalries out there in college football. If
- 4:41Speaker 2: you get a chance to partake in that game, definitely
- 4:43Speaker 2: do it. And Ohio State, Texas, I mean, come on.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Number one Ohio State. Number one Ohio State, but nobody
- 4:53Speaker 2: really talking about Ohio State. That's the thing. Well, Arch
- 4:59Speaker 2: Manning coming to town. and we're going to see if
- 5:02Speaker 2: he can redeem himself. He started off slow last year,
- 5:05Speaker 2: but you know, by the end of the season, Manning
- 5:08Speaker 2: was playing some ball down there in Texas. So very
- 5:12Speaker 2: excited to see that game as well. And of course,
- 5:15Speaker 2: Minnesota hosts Mississippi state and that is on CBS. And
- 5:21Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you something, man, very excited. You know,
- 5:24Speaker 2: Mississippi state has not had a lot of success post
- 5:27Speaker 2: Mike Leach, uh, rest his soul. Um, And Mississippi State,
- 5:35Speaker 2: they're in a tight pickle because if they lose this game,
- 5:38Speaker 2: it's going to be hard for their fan base to
- 5:40Speaker 2: kind of get behind what that coach is trying to
- 5:43Speaker 2: do down there. I think they've been 8-18 the past
- 5:45Speaker 2: couple years. And Minnesota, same thing. See, that's the thing.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Both of these teams played teams that just really didn't
- 5:55Speaker 2: matter last week as we saw. Eastern Illinois for the Gophers, great,
- 5:59Speaker 2: 57 points. Mississippi State. with Camario Taylor, and we'll talk
- 6:03Speaker 2: about him at quarterback for Mississippi State here in a second. But,
- 6:09Speaker 2: you know, you can't really take anything away, and that's
- 6:11Speaker 2: why this game is really intriguing. I was talking about
- 6:14Speaker 2: this with the rookie before we taped our interview that
- 6:17Speaker 2: you're about to hear here in a moment. But this
- 6:20Speaker 2: game can really go any ways. We just don't know.
- 6:23Speaker 2: You know, personally, I'd like to see this year Drake
- 6:25Speaker 2: Lindsey open it up downfield a little bit more. I
- 6:29Speaker 2: want to see if we can get some of those
- 6:30Speaker 2: long strikes. Darius Taylor in the backfield. Keep them healthy.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Let's see if we can get them runs back. But
- 6:39Speaker 2: you just don't know. And the same thing, you know,
- 6:42Speaker 2: like my boy Thor Nystrom calls him on his show,
- 6:45Speaker 2: Super Camario Taylor. You know, phenomenal game. Obviously, last week,
- 6:51Speaker 2: I think they played Louisiana Monroe. But yeah, you know,
- 6:55Speaker 2: you just can't tell because of who you were playing.
- 7:00Speaker 2: And so... Tomorrow, we're going to get some answers for
- 7:03Speaker 2: both programs. Can Mississippi State kind of find their, I
- 7:07Speaker 2: don't want to say signature win, but a much needed
- 7:11Speaker 2: win over a school in the top conference or one
- 7:15Speaker 2: of the top two, obviously, conference. This is along with
- 7:17Speaker 2: the SEC that they're in. And I'm going to tell
- 7:21Speaker 2: you something. It's a very interesting game. And it's hard because,
- 7:25Speaker 2: you know, people go, well, what's your prediction? You know,
- 7:29Speaker 2: And you can go either way with this because you
- 7:32Speaker 2: just don't know. So I consider and say, Hey, I
- 7:36Speaker 2: think the Gophers win by seven to nine points, which
- 7:41Speaker 2: is kind of how I'm feeling. But Gophers have also
- 7:44Speaker 2: had issues containing quarterbacks like Camario Taylor as well and have,
- 7:51Speaker 2: you know, let some of these quarterbacks do a lot
- 7:53Speaker 2: of damage to the Gophers. So I'm very interested to
- 7:56Speaker 2: see this Gophers defense. Um, See what they can do.
- 8:02Speaker 2: So I'm going to be glued to the TV tomorrow.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I ain't going to lie. It's going to be a
- 8:06Speaker 2: college football Saturday in all its classic glory. And yeah,
- 8:13Speaker 2: I'm just I'm very, very, very excited to see what
- 8:19Speaker 2: is going on with these top 25 teams. I am
- 8:28Speaker 2: very excited for tomorrow. I just love college football. What
- 8:31Speaker 2: can I say? And real quick, give you the AP
- 8:35Speaker 2: top 10. Ohio State 1, Georgia 2, Notre Dame number 3,
- 8:39Speaker 2: Texas 4, Indiana 5, Oregon is 6, Miami 7, LSU 8,
- 8:42Speaker 2: Ole Miss 9, and 10 is Texas A & M.
- 8:44Speaker 2: So there's your top 10. And let's do this. Oh,
- 8:59Speaker 2: real quick. LSU, for real, all the stuff. Dabo Sweeney,
- 9:04Speaker 2: he's going to have to figure it out or he's
- 9:07Speaker 2: going to have to move on because you can't keep
- 9:11Speaker 2: living on what was. And I give Dabo Sweeney and
- 9:14Speaker 2: Clemson all his props and his flowers. Two national championships
- 9:19Speaker 2: in an era where it was hard to do it.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I get all that, but He is very late to
- 9:25Speaker 2: the game in NIL, and Clemson is just suffering. And
- 9:28Speaker 2: all of a sudden, Clemson, they just don't even seem
- 9:31Speaker 2: to matter anymore in the ACC, let alone national talk anyway.
- 9:38Speaker 2: All right, let's get to it here. My interview with
- 9:41Speaker 2: the rookie. What can I say, man? The rookie's married
- 9:45Speaker 2: to a dear friend of mine over there in Green Bay.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Good dude, good at what he does. Tremendous show. Go
- 9:53Speaker 2: to the WDUZ FM website. Check out the Bill and
- 9:57Speaker 2: Rookie Experience. Do a very good job there. And I'm
- 10:02Speaker 2: always honored when he takes time to join us here
- 10:04Speaker 2: on the Sports Done Right podcast. So let's get to
- 10:07Speaker 2: it here. This is a longer interview. We went a
- 10:08Speaker 2: little long here as we were having so much fun.
- 10:10Speaker 2: About 45 minutes. And it's all things Vikings, Packers. And
- 10:16Speaker 2: we get into some other Wisconsin sports too. All right, everybody.
- 10:24Speaker 2: You know him, you love him. He's the voice of
- 10:28Speaker 2: Northeastern Wisconsin sports coming to you from Green Bay, Wisconsin.
- 10:32Speaker 2: He's been on the show before. He's married to a
- 10:35Speaker 2: dear friend of mine. And one thing about the rookie
- 10:38Speaker 2: that before we get into all this football talk and everything,
- 10:41Speaker 2: stellar dude, stand up guy, and you're not going to
- 10:44Speaker 2: meet a greater person. So Rook, What is up? Thanks
- 10:48Speaker 2: for joining us again on the Sports Done Right podcast
- 10:50Speaker 2: to talk about that border battle with the Pack.
- 10:53Speaker 5: Yeah, Vince, thanks for having me back. It's hard to
- 10:56Speaker 5: believe football season is here. We're a couple of.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Games in already. But, yeah, we're kicking it off with
- 11:02Speaker 3: the border battle. What a great way to start.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Exactly, man. Well, I'm over here, and if I turn
- 11:11Speaker 2: this way, I'm looking at the pool here at the
- 11:13Speaker 2: complex and some bikinis that are still out. but yet
- 11:17Speaker 2: it's football season, like you said. So, uh, ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:22Speaker 2: the rookie joins us from 107.5 WDUZ FM over in
- 11:26Speaker 2: Green Bay, Wisconsin. And before we get into the border battle,
- 11:30Speaker 2: I did want to talk to Rook about the Wisconsin Badgers.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Now Rook, nobody expected them to be, you know, Notre Dame. I,
- 11:38Speaker 2: you know, that's safe to say, but this very, very proud, um,
- 11:46Speaker 2: you know, team and the memories and the Barry Alvarez
- 11:50Speaker 2: memories and everything that's gone back almost 40 years here
- 11:53Speaker 2: for Wisconsin football to where they are now, obviously what's
- 11:57Speaker 2: the vibe over there in Wisconsin. I mean, if Wisconsin,
- 12:00Speaker 2: let's just say another lackluster season is fickle out of there.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Can they buy them out? Do they want to buy
- 12:06Speaker 2: them out?
- 12:07Speaker 5: Well, it's a buyout of about $ 20 million after this year,
- 12:10Speaker 5: if they do.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:13Speaker 5: I mean, Look, he's hanging by a thread, right? I mean,
- 12:16Speaker 5: it hasn't been very good since he's been here at Wisconsin.
- 12:19Speaker 5: You know, you referenced that Notre Dame game. You know,
- 12:21Speaker 5: they put up their Dukes for the first half, right?
- 12:23Speaker 5: And you thought, oh, this is kind of an interesting game.
- 12:27Speaker 5: A couple of breaks here, a couple of breaks there,
- 12:28Speaker 5: and they could have been leading at halftime. But I
- 12:31Speaker 5: think what disappointed everybody was the way the second half unfolded, right?
- 12:35Speaker 5: Then they got run over by a truck. They make
- 12:38Speaker 5: questionable decisions. You know, you're down a couple of scores
- 12:41Speaker 5: and you're punting on fourth down rather than going for
- 12:44Speaker 5: it and things of that nature. And so the decision-making is,
- 12:48Speaker 5: you know, questionable as well. You know, you talked about
- 12:51Speaker 5: the history of the Badgers and Barry Alvarez. And even
- 12:55Speaker 5: after that, you know, you know, when you had Brett Bielema,
- 13:00Speaker 5: you know, he carried on the tradition. And even to
- 13:02Speaker 5: a certain degree, Paul Chris, when he came back, it's
- 13:06Speaker 5: funny you talk about that because I was having lunch
- 13:08Speaker 5: with a friend actually today, and we were talking a
- 13:10Speaker 5: little bit about the Badgers.
- 13:12Speaker 3: And, and fickle.
- 13:13Speaker 5: And we're like, you know, college football has changed so
- 13:17Speaker 5: dramatically in the past couple of years with NIL and,
- 13:19Speaker 5: and the Badgers are behind in that department.
- 13:22Speaker 3: And you have to have a checkbook these days and,
- 13:24Speaker 3: and they don't have it right now. And we were
- 13:27Speaker 3: just talking about it.
- 13:27Speaker 5: You know, I said to my friend, I said, man,
- 13:29Speaker 5: do you think the Badgers will ever capture what they did?
- 13:33Speaker 5: You know, recently is probably 10 years ago when the
- 13:36Speaker 5: season is, um, highly ranked and maybe have a shot
- 13:40Speaker 5: at making the playoffs or whatever, if the, if the schedule.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Broke right for him.
- 13:44Speaker 5: And I mean, when you go away, when you fade away,
- 13:47Speaker 5: like they have so far, it's hard to get back.
- 13:51Speaker 5: And we were talking about this. I mean, just think
- 13:52Speaker 5: about like Nebraska. Oh, we're recovered from the Tom Osborne
- 13:58Speaker 5: era and the Frank solo care of solar chariot era.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Nebraska has never come back.
- 14:03Speaker 5: You could probably say the same thing about Michigan state
- 14:06Speaker 5: to a certain degree.
- 14:07Speaker 3: You know, they haven't come back.
- 14:09Speaker 5: And there are other teams and other conferences that were
- 14:13Speaker 5: once somebody that have kind of faded and have never
- 14:17Speaker 5: recaptured that.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Glory or whatever you want to call it, that, you know,
- 14:23Speaker 3: never climbed back to the top of the mountain.
- 14:25Speaker 5: And there's a lot of things that have to happen
- 14:28Speaker 5: right for the Badgers.
- 14:29Speaker 3: You know, we talk about, Bill and I.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Somewhat on my morning show, that, you know, Who knows
- 14:36Speaker 5: where college football is trending? There might be the best
- 14:39Speaker 5: teams in the country might break off into like their
- 14:42Speaker 5: own super conference or just fans from the NCAA in
- 14:46Speaker 5: general and do their own thing. And 10 years ago,
- 14:49Speaker 5: Wisconsin would have been included in that group of teams,
- 14:53Speaker 5: schools that would maybe break off. But if they broke
- 14:55Speaker 5: off right now, Wisconsin would be on the outside looking
- 14:59Speaker 5: in probably.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Right.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, that's the thing. You know, the game
- 15:03Speaker 2: has changed so much. I mean, you know, when you
- 15:05Speaker 2: were talking about Wisconsin, I also was picturing USC. Yeah, UCLA.
- 15:11Speaker 2: You know, I was just watching, again, the Reggie Bush,
- 15:14Speaker 2: you know, the documentary on them in Texas and the
- 15:17Speaker 2: championship game there.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:18Speaker 2: And realizing before that, you know, USC in that Texas game,
- 15:22Speaker 2: they were coming off back-to-back championships.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Right.
- 15:25Speaker 2: You know, and it's just like– and nowadays, obviously, again,
- 15:29Speaker 2: another big-name coach. the, you know, the ground is shifted
- 15:33Speaker 2: underneath everybody. And, you know, I was, that's why I
- 15:36Speaker 2: was glad you were on. And we, you know, we're
- 15:38Speaker 2: able to talk to you because, you know, growing up,
- 15:40Speaker 2: you know, going to school at the university of Minnesota,
- 15:42Speaker 2: obviously with the battles we had with the Badgers and everything,
- 15:47Speaker 2: and then to just see that yet once pro proud program,
- 15:50Speaker 2: just kind of go down to where it is now. Yeah.
- 15:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:55Speaker 2: It's, it's really amazing what's going on in college football
- 15:57Speaker 2: right now.
- 15:58Speaker 5: Rookie.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Yeah, and, you know, look, it's not a good thing.
- 16:02Speaker 5: Look, coaches are getting out. They'd rather not coach than
- 16:07Speaker 5: deal with NIL and all this stuff.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Nick Saban, exactly.
- 16:11Speaker 5: You know, Jeff Halfley, who's now the coach of the
- 16:14Speaker 5: Miami Dolphins, was the head coach at Boston College a
- 16:18Speaker 5: couple of years ago when he came to Green Bay
- 16:20Speaker 5: to be the defensive coordinator. And one of the first
- 16:22Speaker 5: questions asked of him in the press conference was, well,
- 16:25Speaker 5: why did you give up a head coaching gig in
- 16:27Speaker 5: college to come here and And part of it was NIL.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Part of it was, you know, not only.
- 16:33Speaker 5: Do you have to attract kids to come to your
- 16:37Speaker 5: school and want to play at your college now, but
- 16:40Speaker 5: then you have to essentially recruit your kids there to stay.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Exactly. It's an every year process now.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:48Speaker 5: And so when you see schools, schools, colleges are hiring
- 16:53Speaker 5: general managers and stuff, you know, it's, it's just crazy.
- 16:57Speaker 3: And, and, Look, Nick, who.
- 16:59Speaker 5: Doesn't think Nick Saban wouldn't still be coaching at Alabama
- 17:03Speaker 5: if it weren't for NIL and all the nonsense going on?
- 17:06Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 17:07Speaker 2: And he's pretty much said that, too. I mean, you know,
- 17:10Speaker 2: the deal with all the nonsense you got to right now,
- 17:13Speaker 2: I wouldn't want to do it if I didn't have to,
- 17:15Speaker 2: if I had, you know, the stats that, you know,
- 17:17Speaker 2: he has and can call it a day and be
- 17:19Speaker 2: happy and still get paid to do some ESPN stuff.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Right.
- 17:25Speaker 5: But now, I mean, now it's just become– too big
- 17:28Speaker 5: of a headache and you're not even really going into
- 17:31Speaker 5: recruits living rooms and sitting down with the kid and
- 17:34Speaker 5: mom and dad and trying to convince him to come
- 17:36Speaker 5: to your school because a, you're going to get a
- 17:38Speaker 5: great education and B we produce offensive linemen to go
- 17:41Speaker 5: to the NFL and all that stuff.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Now you just got to go in there and you.
- 17:46Speaker 5: You're going there with your checkbook and you go, all right,
- 17:47Speaker 5: how much am I writing this checkout for, you know?
- 17:51Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 17:53Speaker 2: All right. Well, speaking of paying athletes, supposedly we're going
- 17:58Speaker 2: to talk a little pro football here. I think college
- 18:01Speaker 2: is pretty much pro at this point.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Right.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Again, the host of the Bill and Rookie Experience over
- 18:06Speaker 2: there in Green Bay. The rookies joining us here to
- 18:09Speaker 2: talk about this border battle. Rook, let me ask you this,
- 18:13Speaker 2: and I got some questions here written down on the
- 18:17Speaker 2: old phone, but let me ask you. If you had
- 18:21Speaker 2: to tell the Packer fans one thing about the team
- 18:24Speaker 2: this year that's going to surprise them, what would the
- 18:29Speaker 2: rookie tell those Green Bay Packer fans?
- 18:32Speaker 5: What's going to surprise them? I think what would surprise
- 18:39Speaker 5: them is maybe you're going to have a top ten,
- 18:44Speaker 5: top five passing offense.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 18:50Speaker 5: I really like the way their offense for the aerial
- 18:53Speaker 5: attack is going to set up.
- 18:54Speaker 3: I really like that.
- 18:56Speaker 5: I hope, I've been preaching it on my show, that
- 18:58Speaker 5: I hope they let Jordan Love cook. I hope they
- 19:02Speaker 5: sling it all over. Throw the football. And this would
- 19:06Speaker 5: even be if Josh Jacobs was playing. Because in his
- 19:11Speaker 5: three years as a starter, since taking over for Aaron Rodgers,
- 19:16Speaker 5: the best he's played was the second half of his
- 19:20Speaker 5: rookie season when at the time they were 2-5, something
- 19:25Speaker 5: like that, if I remember. And they made that miraculous
- 19:28Speaker 5: run and made the playoffs and then nearly pulled off
- 19:32Speaker 5: an upset on the road in the playoffs. And Jordan
- 19:35Speaker 5: Love had these ridiculous numbers with touchdown passes, no interceptions, yards.
- 19:42Speaker 5: And I think if they let him cook a little bit,
- 19:44Speaker 5: they've got the talent at the pass-catching positions to do that.
- 19:48Speaker 3: I think you could see a very prolific passing game.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Very interesting because that leads into question number two about
- 19:56Speaker 2: the quarterback, obviously, Jordan Love. Do you think he's capable
- 20:02Speaker 2: of really taking Green Bay to that Super Bowl status,
- 20:05Speaker 2: not just a playoff appearance? but to really take your
- 20:10Speaker 2: team deep into the playoffs?
- 20:12Speaker 3: Not yet.
- 20:14Speaker 5: I think he has that potential. It's one, it's, it's
- 20:18Speaker 5: something I always say in my show and you know,
- 20:21Speaker 5: it's so different because when, when you had Brett Favre
- 20:24Speaker 5: here and you had Aaron Rogers here, you were always.
- 20:29Speaker 3: In the mix.
- 20:30Speaker 5: You always had an opportunity to win the game or
- 20:32Speaker 5: go to the Superbowl because of those guys.
- 20:35Speaker 3: I don't feel like they're there with Jordan Love.
- 20:38Speaker 5: I say all the time, you can win a lot
- 20:42Speaker 5: of games with Jordan Love, but you're not necessarily going
- 20:45Speaker 5: to win a lot of games because of Jordan Love.
- 20:48Speaker 5: The difference is you knew that Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, A,
- 20:56Speaker 5: two minutes left on the clock. Was there any other
- 20:59Speaker 5: quarterback that you'd want to have the ball in the hands?
- 21:01Speaker 5: Maybe Tom Brady and couple of others but you know
- 21:04Speaker 5: I don't feel that way about Jordan Love you know
- 21:06Speaker 5: if you've got if you got two minutes on the
- 21:08Speaker 5: clock and you need to go the length of the
- 21:10Speaker 5: field for a game-winning touchdown where's your confidence level with
- 21:13Speaker 5: Jordan Love you know I mean I don't really like
- 21:16Speaker 5: my chances.
- 21:17Speaker 6: Per se but right well Rook let me ask you
- 21:19Speaker 6: this then what are you looking for specifically from Jordan
- 21:22Speaker 6: Love to improve on this year for over last season
- 21:25Speaker 6: well you know Better decision.
- 21:28Speaker 5: Again, this is a great question because Bill and I
- 21:29Speaker 5: were actually talking about this this morning on our show,
- 21:32Speaker 5: and we were talking about the matchup of the game
- 21:34Speaker 5: and things that Jordan Love has to do to take
- 21:37Speaker 5: his game to the next level. Because this is interesting, Vinny.
- 21:41Speaker 5: Matt LaFleur was asked yesterday, I think it was Thursday,
- 21:45Speaker 5: what does Jordan Love need to do to become an
- 21:48Speaker 5: elite quarterback? And Matt was like, man, I just, he's like,
- 21:53Speaker 5: I don't still understand this question. I don't, I don't
- 21:55Speaker 5: get what you guys, why you do this is I'll
- 21:58Speaker 5: let you guys decide because he believes Jordan loves already
- 22:01Speaker 5: an elite quarterback, which I think a lot of people
- 22:03Speaker 5: throw that term around pretty loosely. There's like two or
- 22:06Speaker 5: three quarterbacks in the national football league that are elite.
- 22:10Speaker 5: Now here's my take on that. Jordan love is on
- 22:13Speaker 5: the bubble of being a top 10 quarterback in the NFL.
- 22:15Speaker 5: If you ask me, so what does he need to
- 22:17Speaker 5: do to be a solid top 10, maybe a, top
- 22:22Speaker 5: seven quarterback in the NFL.
- 22:24Speaker 3: He has to make better decisions when he has the opportunity.
- 22:27Speaker 5: And the one that stands out to us the most
- 22:30Speaker 5: is last year in the playoffs against Chicago. When he
- 22:32Speaker 5: had an opportunity to run for about 10 or 15
- 22:35Speaker 5: yards when he needed to, and the game was on
- 22:37Speaker 5: the line, he threw the ball down for it down.
- 22:39Speaker 5: And you're like, what are you doing? You got to
- 22:40Speaker 5: take that yardage. You have to take what's given to you.
- 22:42Speaker 5: That was the first down that he totally screwed up,
- 22:46Speaker 5: totally messed the bed on that. So you got to
- 22:48Speaker 5: make better decisions in that situation. And then I think
- 22:52Speaker 5: he needs to be more consistent with his deep ball.
- 22:55Speaker 5: He's got to be more accurate more often. And if
- 22:58Speaker 5: he can do those couple of things, your numbers go up,
- 23:03Speaker 5: your success rate.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Goes up in terms of maybe winning tight ball games
- 23:09Speaker 3: or whatever.
- 23:09Speaker 5: And then he climbs into, then he is a solid
- 23:12Speaker 5: top 10 quarterback. He's a seven or eight top quarterback.
- 23:14Speaker 5: He's not better than Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes,
- 23:18Speaker 5: You're not better than Lamar Jackson.
- 23:20Speaker 3: So he's not a top five quarterback in the NFL.
- 23:23Speaker 5: Sometimes, you know, sometimes the numbers and sometimes everybody always
- 23:27Speaker 5: wants to look at the numbers. Well, the numbers say
- 23:29Speaker 5: he was fourth in touchdown passes, seventh in yards. Well,
- 23:33Speaker 5: that's not, that's easy to look at the stats, but
- 23:36Speaker 5: what are some of the intangibles and what are some
- 23:37Speaker 5: of the other things that you do that make you
- 23:41Speaker 5: a better quarterback than even your numbers may indicate? And
- 23:45Speaker 5: I don't think he's there yet, but I think he
- 23:46Speaker 5: has some, I think he has the possibility and the
- 23:49Speaker 5: potential to do that, but I don't know if he'll
- 23:51Speaker 5: ever be like a top five quarterback in the league,
- 23:53Speaker 5: but you're, you're, you're the best of the best of your.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Top five quarterback during your generation. Right.
- 24:02Speaker 5: But I mean, if you can be a top seven,
- 24:05Speaker 5: top eight quarterback, there's nothing wrong with that, man. That's good.
- 24:09Speaker 2: No. And I think people need to understand that as well.
- 24:12Speaker 2: You know, people, if, It's just the way it is
- 24:14Speaker 2: nowadays with all the media overhype and stuff. The top
- 24:17Speaker 2: 10 quarterback is just fine as well.
- 24:21Speaker 3: You'll win a lot of football games with a top
- 24:24Speaker 3: 10 quarterback, but you need a.
- 24:28Speaker 5: Better team, a better supporting cast around that guy if
- 24:31Speaker 5: you really want to get to the Super Bowl and
- 24:34Speaker 5: the promised land. That's kind of where Jordan Love is
- 24:36Speaker 5: right now. He's going to win you a lot of
- 24:37Speaker 5: football games. He's going to keep you in some football
- 24:39Speaker 5: games and But you've got to have the defense, and
- 24:43Speaker 5: you've got to be able to run, and you've got
- 24:44Speaker 5: to be able to do these other things and not
- 24:46Speaker 5: make mistakes and not turn it over if you want
- 24:48Speaker 5: to actually get to the Super Bowl.
- 24:53Speaker 2: All right. Again, talking with the rookie. Border battle, Vikings-Packers
- 24:57Speaker 2: this Sunday. And Rook, how's that offensive line? And the
- 25:00Speaker 2: reason I asked, Minnesota Vikings got a lot of young
- 25:03Speaker 2: faces on the defensive side of the ball, the defensive
- 25:06Speaker 2: line in particular, a lot of youth, a lot of
- 25:10Speaker 2: big dudes excited to get started there. Can you tell
- 25:13Speaker 2: me a little bit about the offensive line? Because I
- 25:16Speaker 2: think if the Vikings can find a way to get
- 25:18Speaker 2: to that quarterback of yours early, obviously that will help
- 25:21Speaker 2: them because our defense is so young, despite obviously the
- 25:25Speaker 2: Harrison Smith coming back and resigning here a couple of
- 25:28Speaker 2: days ago. No, no shock here. We were right. Exactly. Yeah, exactly.
- 25:34Speaker 3: But yeah.
- 25:35Speaker 2: And that's what I'm really looking for this weekend in
- 25:37Speaker 2: terms of, you know, the Vikings fan in me is
- 25:41Speaker 2: to see kind of, I don't want to call it
- 25:43Speaker 2: a new look defense, but in a sense, kind of
- 25:46Speaker 2: a new look defense and to see what kind of
- 25:48Speaker 2: pressure they can get on Jordan.
- 25:50Speaker 5: Well, that's, that's a great observation because that is, really
- 25:55Speaker 5: kind of the starting point, I think for this game
- 25:57Speaker 5: on Sunday, you know, the offensive line for the Packers,
- 26:00Speaker 5: they were not very good last year. And, and it showed,
- 26:04Speaker 5: and a lot of that was instability and, and, and,
- 26:07Speaker 5: and some poor play and they'd move things around and,
- 26:09Speaker 5: you know, Sean Ryan had to go in at center and.
- 26:15Speaker 3: I forget the guy's name.
- 26:16Speaker 5: Now I did, I even did a radio show with him,
- 26:18Speaker 5: the center Jenkins, Milton Jenkins, you know, was hurt and,
- 26:22Speaker 5: And then he's moved on.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Sorry about that, Elton. Yeah, you're fine. Last year was
- 26:26Speaker 3: kind of a mess, and it showed.
- 26:27Speaker 5: So when training camp began this year, you pretty much
- 26:31Speaker 5: went into training camp knowing who the offensive line was
- 26:34Speaker 5: going to be. It was going to be Jordan Morgan
- 26:35Speaker 5: at left tackle, Aaron Banks at left guard, Sean Ryan
- 26:38Speaker 5: at center, Anthony Belton, a second-year player, is going to
- 26:40Speaker 5: be right guard, and Zach Bakabuwele, who changed his name,
- 26:43Speaker 5: used to be Zach Tom, was going to be your
- 26:45Speaker 5: right tackle.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Well, guess what?
- 26:47Speaker 5: That got derailed in a hurry because Aaron Banks can't
- 26:49Speaker 5: stay healthy and Zach Bakabuwele can't stay healthy. And Anthony
- 26:53Speaker 5: Belton hasn't performed.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Up to expectations.
- 26:56Speaker 5: So Belton got kicked out to right tackle while Baca
- 26:59Speaker 5: Bueli was injured. They played a little bit of Jagger Burton,
- 27:04Speaker 5: a rookie, and Jacob Monk, who's been around for a
- 27:06Speaker 5: couple of years, at left guard and right guard. And,
- 27:10Speaker 5: you know, so they haven't had the continuity. And Coach
- 27:13Speaker 5: addressed that this week as well. And so nobody knows...
- 27:20Speaker 5: how healthy they'll stay. Aaron Banks may start at left guard,
- 27:23Speaker 5: Zach Baca, but while he may start at right tackle,
- 27:26Speaker 5: probably will both.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Those guys, but will they finish the game? Right. You know,
- 27:30Speaker 3: I wouldn't bet on it, you know?
- 27:32Speaker 5: And so what we thought was going to be a
- 27:35Speaker 5: better offensive line and has some stability actually has a
- 27:39Speaker 5: lot of question marks right now. And then you're going
- 27:40Speaker 5: up against a Brian Flores defense, right? That likes to
- 27:43Speaker 5: bring pressure and everything that you're talking about. And we'll
- 27:45Speaker 5: see what happens. Right now, because again, Here's the thing.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Vikings fans, you know, we're so excited. And then we
- 27:56Speaker 2: get to this quarterback issue of ours.
- 27:59Speaker 3: And, you know, I mean, you.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Know, Kyler, you know, we'll see how it goes, obviously.
- 28:08Speaker 5: I've never been a big fan of his when he
- 28:10Speaker 5: was in Arizona. I never liked him from day one
- 28:13Speaker 5: when he was drafted and all that.
- 28:16Speaker 3: I've never been a big fan. And then I know.
- 28:21Speaker 3: You know, you guys went out and got him in
- 28:22Speaker 3: the offseason. I'm not I'm not impressed, but tell me
- 28:25Speaker 3: I'm wrong. I don't know.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Well, I wish I could. And I think that's how
- 28:29Speaker 2: a lot of Vikings fans and Vikings nation rookie are
- 28:32Speaker 2: feeling right now, because, you know, here I'm going to
- 28:34Speaker 2: keep glancing down. I'm looking here at the lineup or
- 28:38Speaker 2: at least the depth chart as of right now, you know,
- 28:40Speaker 2: so with Kyler. Aaron Jones. And then, you know, we
- 28:43Speaker 2: got these wide outs, Juwan Jennings, Jordan Addison, and obviously
- 28:47Speaker 2: the big JJ over there as well, who, you know,
- 28:50Speaker 2: in a sense, even though he did the last game,
- 28:52Speaker 2: get a thousand seasons, he kind of wasted a season
- 28:54Speaker 2: last year. And that's also, you know, kind of on
- 28:58Speaker 2: pins and needles. If we have another down year this year,
- 29:01Speaker 2: when does JJ start asking to get out of here
- 29:03Speaker 2: as well? But You know, I'm looking at our offense and,
- 29:08Speaker 2: you know, obviously beyond the quarterback issues, we feel pretty
- 29:11Speaker 2: good about it. But yeah, I mean, you know, I
- 29:14Speaker 2: was thinking about it today, Rook. We have a coach
- 29:16Speaker 2: that's called the quarterback whisperer.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Right.
- 29:19Speaker 2: But yet, you know, if you Google the number of
- 29:22Speaker 2: quarterbacks and, you know, beyond KOC up here, but I
- 29:25Speaker 2: think it's like 25 quarterbacks we've had in the past
- 29:27Speaker 2: 30 years or something like that. It has just been nuts. And,
- 29:32Speaker 2: you know, I'm not going to sit up here. Obviously,
- 29:34Speaker 2: I want the purple to win and all that stuff.
- 29:36Speaker 2: But you notice the sports governor this year, not sitting
- 29:39Speaker 2: up here all. boasting and bragging and stuff I'm actually
- 29:43Speaker 2: very interested for this afternoon game on Sunday and I'm
- 29:47Speaker 2: kind of on pins and needles because I am very
- 29:50Speaker 2: excited to see what Kyler can do with a much
- 29:54Speaker 2: improved offense and And I agree with you. You know,
- 29:58Speaker 2: it wasn't my first choice, but it is what it
- 30:00Speaker 2: is at this point. But let me ask you this,
- 30:04Speaker 2: you know, just to transition here into the Packers defense,
- 30:07Speaker 2: you know, what are you expecting to see from them
- 30:10Speaker 2: game one and as the season progresses?
- 30:15Speaker 3: Well, from the Packers defense, I mean, we really don't know.
- 30:18Speaker 5: And the reason why we really don't know is we
- 30:20Speaker 5: don't know what Jonathan Gannon is really going to bring
- 30:22Speaker 5: to the table and what he's going to do defensively,
- 30:24Speaker 5: because They really don't show you anything in training camp
- 30:28Speaker 5: too much.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Oh, and, Rookie, let me interrupt you real quick because
- 30:31Speaker 2: you mentioned Jonathan Gannon. Folks, Jonathan Gannon comes from Arizona.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:36Speaker 2: And he knows our quarterback like the back of his hand. And, again,
- 30:41Speaker 2: another reason, Rookie, that I'm very interested to see this
- 30:44Speaker 2: game Sunday.
- 30:45Speaker 5: Yeah, but, you know, Kyler Murray knows what he likes
- 30:47Speaker 5: to run defensively. There's a little counter there, so we'll
- 30:52Speaker 5: see how that plays out. We expect an aggressive defense.
- 30:56Speaker 5: We think they're going to be physical. Evan Williams, one
- 30:59Speaker 5: of the cornerbacks during the offseason program, talked about how
- 31:03Speaker 5: some of the corners are playing closer to the line
- 31:05Speaker 5: of scrimmage, and it sounds like he's going to be
- 31:07Speaker 5: a little more involved. And I said, one of the
- 31:10Speaker 5: things I noticed right away during the offseason program was
- 31:13Speaker 5: Evan Williams comes in and his thighs and his legs
- 31:17Speaker 5: are huge.
- 31:20Speaker 3: You can tell he's put on some muscle.
- 31:22Speaker 5: So during the OTAs, I'm like, all right, Evan, I
- 31:24Speaker 5: don't want this to sound weird, but I've noticed that
- 31:26Speaker 5: you've gotten a lot bigger and, you know, put.
- 31:28Speaker 3: On some muscle.
- 31:30Speaker 5: And he explained that, you know, he's, he's expecting to
- 31:33Speaker 5: be playing closer to the line of scrimmage, kind of
- 31:36Speaker 5: getting his nose in there a little bit more. And
- 31:38Speaker 5: I'm like, man, you, I mean, you're going to get
- 31:39Speaker 5: down there where it sounds like you're going to be
- 31:41Speaker 5: down to.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Where you get dirty, right? You get your nose dirty.
- 31:44Speaker 3: And he's like, yeah. And so he put on some
- 31:46Speaker 3: weight and some muscle. So we think they're going to
- 31:48Speaker 3: be aggressive.
- 31:49Speaker 5: I don't know if they're going to blitz more, um,
- 31:53Speaker 5: they're going to play a little bit freer. I think
- 31:56Speaker 5: they have, they have a little bit more latitude to
- 32:01Speaker 5: not be as rigid. Um, but I mean, we'll see
- 32:06Speaker 5: because we really don't know, right. You watch preseason and
- 32:09Speaker 5: it's so vanilla, you don't do anything. They don't like
- 32:11Speaker 5: to tip their hands. You can only go by what they,
- 32:14Speaker 5: they say, you know, I do like the upgrades that
- 32:16Speaker 5: they've made. Um, you know, I know Zaire, uh, Zaire
- 32:20Speaker 5: Franklin had a really poor season last year in Indianapolis,
- 32:24Speaker 5: but they're trying, they're hoping that he finds his game
- 32:27Speaker 5: that he had in 22, 23, 24, where he had
- 32:31Speaker 5: 130 tackles plus, you know, and quarterback hits and things
- 32:35Speaker 5: of that nature.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Um, so they hope they find.
- 32:38Speaker 5: A little bit of that Quay Walker is good, but
- 32:39Speaker 5: he was, he wasn't really a good team guy. Um,
- 32:43Speaker 5: I like what they've done up front with some of
- 32:45Speaker 5: the guys, you know, look, let's be honest with the
- 32:47Speaker 5: Packers defense.
- 32:48Speaker 3: The big question is Micah Parsons, right?
- 32:50Speaker 5: They haven't won a game without Micah Parsons since he,
- 32:54Speaker 5: he blew out his knee in Denver last year. And
- 32:57Speaker 5: I asked Javon Bullard yesterday, I said, I asked him,
- 33:02Speaker 5: I said, I know it's a new season and you
- 33:04Speaker 5: start from scratch and everything, but I mean, how bad
- 33:07Speaker 5: do you guys just need a win in general?
- 33:09Speaker 3: Because you guys.
- 33:09Speaker 5: Haven't won since your team leader, and has gone down
- 33:13Speaker 5: with an injury. And, you know, and everybody points their
- 33:16Speaker 5: fingers at the defense and it's not necessarily all their
- 33:18Speaker 5: fault because, but they've lost leads late in games, right?
- 33:22Speaker 5: They've lost that playoff game to Chicago late when that
- 33:25Speaker 5: thing should have been sewn up. And, you know, if
- 33:28Speaker 5: you're losing late leads, you can say, well, if we
- 33:30Speaker 5: would have got one more first down from the offense
- 33:33Speaker 5: or something like that, you run out the clock, you
- 33:35Speaker 5: win the football game.
- 33:36Speaker 3: But nobody remembers that. Nobody cares.
- 33:38Speaker 5: All they remember is the defense was on the field
- 33:40Speaker 5: when the other team scored the winning points. late in
- 33:44Speaker 5: the ball game. And so whether it's fair or not,
- 33:47Speaker 5: the defense gets scrutinized to get looked at, to get blamed.
- 33:50Speaker 3: And I said, man, just a win. You guys haven't won.
- 33:54Speaker 3: They haven't won since December 7th. Wow.
- 33:58Speaker 5: I know a good chunk of that isn't football season.
- 34:02Speaker 3: But it doesn't matter. You guys haven't won a game
- 34:05Speaker 3: since December 7th.
- 34:07Speaker 2: That sounds like a long time, rookie.
- 34:09Speaker 3: Yeah, it is. It is.
- 34:13Speaker 2: That's why we love talking with the rookie, man. He
- 34:15Speaker 2: gives it to you. Straight shooter, man.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Love it.
- 34:18Speaker 2: All right, Rook, a couple minutes here. We'll let you go.
- 34:21Speaker 2: But before I let you go, I think the Vikings
- 34:25Speaker 2: and listen, man, you know, I'm going to ask you
- 34:27Speaker 2: for your prediction for the game. You know, it's the
- 34:30Speaker 2: first game. Nobody I'm not holding you to anything. I
- 34:33Speaker 2: think maybe. And that is probably the purple just talking
- 34:38Speaker 2: out of me. I think the Vikings eke out a
- 34:40Speaker 2: close one. I could see one of them 21-17, 21-19
- 34:46Speaker 2: type of games. I could also see that going the
- 34:49Speaker 2: opposite way just as easily, but obviously decked out for
- 34:53Speaker 2: your appearance here, so I got to go with the purple.
- 34:56Speaker 2: But before I end with you, Bob, give me your
- 35:00Speaker 2: prediction for Sunday. Well, I'll go with the Packers eek
- 35:04Speaker 2: one out. Right, Bob.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Look, it's a what? A one-point game? It's essentially a
- 35:09Speaker 3: pick-em game, right?
- 35:10Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 35:10Speaker 3: So it can go either way.
- 35:12Speaker 5: I'll say the Packers eek one out, but if they lose,
- 35:15Speaker 5: I won't be surprised.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Ditto. Yep, exactly the same, obviously. But, I mean, look,
- 35:20Speaker 2: it's a pretty important game.
- 35:21Speaker 5: I don't know how I feel about opening up with
- 35:26Speaker 5: division ballgames.
- 35:28Speaker 3: You know, I'd rather– they're so important. They're so important.
- 35:32Speaker 5: To me, division ballgames, that I don't think you should
- 35:37Speaker 5: play a division ballgame until at least– a month into
- 35:40Speaker 5: the season for a couple of.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Well, the main reason is because... To me, the first
- 35:47Speaker 3: month of the regular season is like the new preseason, right?
- 35:50Speaker 2: Yeah, especially... Right, yep. With the new way that the
- 35:53Speaker 2: preseason was structured this year, too. Exactly.
- 35:56Speaker 5: I mean, regular players play a handful of snaps in
- 36:00Speaker 5: the preseason, and that's about it.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Does that really get you ready for a season? So,
- 36:06Speaker 3: to me, you ought to be playing.
- 36:09Speaker 5: intra-conference or cross-conference games for the first month. And then
- 36:14Speaker 5: once everybody kind of gets their feet under them, you
- 36:17Speaker 5: start playing divisional games because they're so important. You know
- 36:20Speaker 5: what I mean? And I mean, look at the game.
- 36:23Speaker 5: I mean, they weren't, they weren't divisional games. Well, I
- 36:27Speaker 5: guess Thursday night's game was a divisional game, but I was,
- 36:30Speaker 5: I was referencing the Seattle, New England game on Wednesday night, a.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Rematch of the Superbowl. I think it was a dog.
- 36:37Speaker 5: No, that was a dog of a, You know, did
- 36:40Speaker 5: that look like a rematch of the Super Bowl? And
- 36:43Speaker 5: even that game in Australia, you know, maybe travel had
- 36:46Speaker 5: something to do with that.
- 36:48Speaker 3: You know, that thing was a dog of a game, too.
- 36:50Speaker 5: And I think you should let teams get into the
- 36:52Speaker 5: flow of things and kind of get their feet under
- 36:55Speaker 5: them and then start playing divisional games because they're so
- 36:57Speaker 5: doggone important.
- 36:59Speaker 2: You know, Rookie, I'm glad you brought that up because
- 37:01Speaker 2: I'm going to be honest with you. I never, ever
- 37:03Speaker 2: thought about that the way you just put it before,
- 37:06Speaker 2: or just now, excuse me. And that really does it
- 37:09Speaker 2: to me. It makes a whole bunch of sense. I'm
- 37:11Speaker 2: sure to a lot of other people, it makes sense.
- 37:14Speaker 2: But I think, man, this juggernaut of the NFL is
- 37:16Speaker 2: just out the box now to the point, you know,
- 37:19Speaker 2: we're talking about a kickoff game in Australia.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:24Speaker 2: And I was listening. There was a video came across
- 37:27Speaker 2: the Facebook feed earlier today.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Stephen A.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Smith, I guess, was on his show this morning. talking
- 37:33Speaker 2: about how the NFL basically is going to be and
- 37:36Speaker 2: wants to be the number one sport in the world.
- 37:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:40Speaker 2: You know, and they're, and honestly, they're well on their way.
- 37:43Speaker 2: I mean, but yeah, that set up yesterday with the stadium.
- 37:47Speaker 2: I mean, the fans, they were like 70 yards away.
- 37:49Speaker 3: It's horrible.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Just horrible. Exactly.
- 37:53Speaker 3: And tell me, I mean, look, if I'm, what was that?
- 37:56Speaker 3: A Rams home game? Yeah, that too. Could you imagine?
- 38:02Speaker 5: I mean, what is the NFL doing taking that divisional game, A,
- 38:07Speaker 5: making it week one, and B, putting it in Australia?
- 38:10Speaker 5: I mean, I know, look, I know there aren't a
- 38:12Speaker 5: whole lot of Rams fans, and when you go play
- 38:14Speaker 5: in L.A., that a lot of other teams' fans take
- 38:17Speaker 5: over the place.
- 38:19Speaker 3: But that's ridiculous.
- 38:20Speaker 5: It's just ridiculous to take a divisional game and put
- 38:23Speaker 5: it overseas. Could you imagine– you know, if they were
- 38:25Speaker 5: playing this game Sunday between the Packers and the Vikings
- 38:28Speaker 5: over in Germany or, or just.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Take it overseas, it's a joke.
- 38:35Speaker 2: No, I agree. And cause the, well, here's the funny thing.
- 38:38Speaker 2: There would be tons of fans there, tons of Vikings
- 38:41Speaker 2: and Packers fans cause they would go, but I agree
- 38:44Speaker 2: with that premise that look, man, these games are important.
- 38:48Speaker 2: They're home, you know, divisional games, um, teams are losing
- 38:52Speaker 2: out on revenue. Uh, I don't know, man, but it's,
- 38:57Speaker 2: it's just too, it's too big of a beast. I'm
- 38:59Speaker 2: afraid right now, rookie that you're not going to stop it.
- 39:03Speaker 3: No, not at all.
- 39:04Speaker 5: You know, you know, and they've, you know, they've talked
- 39:06Speaker 5: about wanting to get an entire division over there and look,
- 39:10Speaker 5: they've been, they've been.
- 39:12Speaker 3: I gotta be honest with you.
- 39:13Speaker 5: I'm, I'm a little surprised that they haven't kind of
- 39:16Speaker 5: sped up the process of getting a team, a division
- 39:20Speaker 5: over there because, you know, they've, they've taken baby steps.
- 39:23Speaker 5: It was a, A game over there, here and there.
- 39:26Speaker 5: And then, you know, more games.
- 39:29Speaker 3: Okay, well, they're selling. People are interested.
- 39:31Speaker 5: And then you try to– and then now we're going
- 39:34Speaker 5: to do back-to-back games at the same stadium. Let's see
- 39:36Speaker 5: if they can sell out two weeks in a row.
- 39:39Speaker 5: Now we're going to leave a team over there for
- 39:41Speaker 5: a couple of weeks to play back-to-back games. So they've
- 39:44Speaker 5: kind of taken baby steps to see the process and
- 39:48Speaker 5: how it would work out. And I'm a little surprised
- 39:51Speaker 5: that they've slow rolled it as much as they have and.
- 39:55Speaker 3: Haven't been in the process, to be honest with you,
- 39:57Speaker 3: because they're a bunch of greedy bastards. Yes, yes.
- 40:00Speaker 2: And I agree with you 100%. All right, Rook, before
- 40:04Speaker 2: I get you out of here, and again, I thank
- 40:06Speaker 2: you for your time, my friend.
- 40:08Speaker 3: Thanks for having me, man.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Of course, of course. But, you know, we got to
- 40:11Speaker 2: talk a little bit of hockey.
- 40:12Speaker 5: Before you ask your last question, I want all your
- 40:14Speaker 5: fans to know that I asked the sports governor to
- 40:18Speaker 5: come on my show Earlier this week.
- 40:21Speaker 2: He did.
- 40:22Speaker 3: And he declined. Oh. He declined. I wanted equal opportunity,
- 40:27Speaker 3: equal time.
- 40:28Speaker 5: I wanted to have Vinny and the sports governor, the
- 40:31Speaker 5: guy that knows all sports, Minnesota, on my show.
- 40:34Speaker 3: And he said no.
- 40:36Speaker 2: It wasn't so much that I said no, Rook. The
- 40:40Speaker 2: job that pays the bills took precedent, unfortunately. with a
- 40:46Speaker 2: couple early morning meetings that, yeah, needed the attendance of
- 40:50Speaker 2: the sports governor. We'll try to do it later in
- 40:52Speaker 2: the season. Yeah, let's do it real soon, of course.
- 40:55Speaker 2: But let me ask you this, you know, hockey, hockey
- 40:59Speaker 2: right around the corner, man. We got preseason games coming
- 41:02Speaker 2: up for the Wild next week.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Dude, I'm reffing on Sunday morning.
- 41:06Speaker 5: High school fall league starts out here on Sunday, and
- 41:09Speaker 5: I have a 1030.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Game to reff. Wow.
- 41:13Speaker 2: All right. Well, let's talk about it here. You're a
- 41:16Speaker 2: Colorado Avalanche guy. You know, the wild, the division, hockey's back.
- 41:23Speaker 2: My Blackhawks continue to suck with no improvement whatsoever, it seems.
- 41:27Speaker 2: I'm sorry. You can bring the caner back all you want.
- 41:30Speaker 2: It ain't going to make a hell of a beans
- 41:32Speaker 2: of a difference, unfortunately. But real quick, just kind of
- 41:36Speaker 2: give me some of your hockey thoughts on our division,
- 41:39Speaker 2: your team, the Avalanche. and anything you're looking for this
- 41:43Speaker 2: season in the.
- 41:47Speaker 3: NHL. Look, our hockey, we're a hockey family. Just love it.
- 41:52Speaker 5: I'm an old Minnesota North Stars fan, and then he
- 41:54Speaker 5: moved to Dallas, and I could never forgive Norm Green
- 41:56Speaker 5: on all that stuff. I'm just kind of a hockey vagabond,
- 41:59Speaker 5: to be honest with you. I don't really hitch my
- 42:02Speaker 5: wagon to any particular team. Past couple of years, the
- 42:05Speaker 5: family's had flex tickets for the Wilds.
- 42:07Speaker 3: We've been going over to St.
- 42:09Speaker 5: Paul to watch a handful of games a year. You know,
- 42:12Speaker 5: really look out just coming from a wild perspective.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Everybody's just kind of waiting on Quinn Hughes, right? And
- 42:18Speaker 3: you're going to be able to get the deal done
- 42:20Speaker 3: with Quinn Hughes. I don't know.
- 42:22Speaker 5: It sounds, you know, I think that everybody is pretty
- 42:24Speaker 5: optimistic about it during the regular season. And Quinn was
- 42:28Speaker 5: talking about how much he loved the wild and being
- 42:30Speaker 5: in Minnesota, but I don't know. It sounds like it's
- 42:33Speaker 5: going to be a difficult deal to get done now.
- 42:35Speaker 5: I mean, he's, you know, the off season, he's hanging
- 42:37Speaker 5: out with his brothers. We really wants to play without
- 42:40Speaker 5: New Jersey. It's, I don't know, but that's really, that's
- 42:44Speaker 5: really the big story.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Right.
- 42:45Speaker 5: And then, and then who's going to, who's going to,
- 42:49Speaker 5: you know, be in, in the, who's going to get
- 42:50Speaker 5: the starting gig in the pipes.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Well, that's always the question too.
- 42:55Speaker 5: Because they made a big playoff switcheroo, you know, uh,
- 43:00Speaker 5: Last year when the playoffs rolled around, you know, the
- 43:06Speaker 5: Gus busts under contract through 2030, I think.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Oh, geez.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Is it 2030, Gus?
- 43:11Speaker 5: I think.
- 43:11Speaker 3: I think.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Oh, boy. That makes it interesting. I did not know
- 43:17Speaker 2: that because, yeah, if that is the case, I mean,
- 43:19Speaker 2: if Gus is in the round, wow.
- 43:22Speaker 3: But, I mean, you can always make a trade, right?
- 43:25Speaker 5: I mean, that's– that's the big thing.
- 43:27Speaker 3: You know, you can always trade a guy if you want.
- 43:29Speaker 5: And that was kind of, uh, that was kind of
- 43:32Speaker 5: the rumors last year. I think at the trade deadline that, uh,
- 43:36Speaker 5: maybe Minnesota would, would trade one of the two. And
- 43:39Speaker 5: I think really the one that they were, um, talking
- 43:42Speaker 5: about trading was, um, Wallstead, I think is the one
- 43:46Speaker 5: that they were really thinking about trading.
- 43:47Speaker 3: But, um, I mean, I think that was a little
- 43:50Speaker 3: bit of a.
- 43:50Speaker 5: Surprise when the, when the class rolled around it, they,
- 43:53Speaker 5: they put the Gus bus on the bench and, and
- 43:55Speaker 5: wrote Jesper.
- 43:56Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 43:58Speaker 2: I mean, I get it. You know, you try and
- 44:01Speaker 2: make something happen, but man, yeah, that was very interesting.
- 44:03Speaker 2: And obviously both of those goalies started out so well.
- 44:06Speaker 2: I mean, the wall of San Paul and Gus and everybody. And,
- 44:10Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden, and you know, granted
- 44:13Speaker 2: the wild did get that playoff series victory.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:16Speaker 2: In advance to the next round, but boy, it got
- 44:19Speaker 2: shut down pretty quick.
- 44:21Speaker 3: They got, they got, I mean, man, they, uh, they
- 44:26Speaker 3: got run and worn out.
- 44:27Speaker 5: I think, you know, they're playing, you know, you're playing
- 44:30Speaker 5: a long series and, and, and what that series means
- 44:35Speaker 5: a couple of crazy games, right?
- 44:37Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:40Speaker 2: I mean, that's the thing about playoff hockey. You're always
- 44:42Speaker 2: going to get, you know, two or three crazy games
- 44:45Speaker 2: endings in these series. And I think also just the
- 44:49Speaker 2: pressure of the Minnesota wild getting to get out of
- 44:52Speaker 2: the first round.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, I mean, Let's be honest, too.
- 44:59Speaker 5: The format for the NHL playoffs blows, right?
- 45:04Speaker 2: Garbage. Garbage.
- 45:05Speaker 5: The top three teams in the conference last year are, what, Colorado, Dallas,
- 45:10Speaker 5: and Minnesota, right?
- 45:10Speaker 3: Am I remembering that correct?
- 45:12Speaker 2: I believe so.
- 45:13Speaker 5: And one of them is getting knocked out right away,
- 45:15Speaker 5: and then another one is getting knocked out before you
- 45:17Speaker 5: can get to the conference finals. I mean, it's a
- 45:19Speaker 5: load of BS. Go back to the one through eight
- 45:23Speaker 5: like it should be.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Thank you. You know, and rather than trying to have
- 45:26Speaker 3: all these.
- 45:27Speaker 5: Divisional, like you play division games during the regular season
- 45:30Speaker 5: and now you want to, you know, try to, you know,
- 45:34Speaker 5: have divisional playoff series before.
- 45:36Speaker 3: It's stupid. Rookie.
- 45:38Speaker 2: And it goes across all sports. I mean, we were
- 45:41Speaker 2: just talking about with the football. Everybody's tinkering with their
- 45:44Speaker 2: stuff just because they can. Or, you know, obviously to
- 45:47Speaker 2: try and make yet another dollar and stuff. But that
- 45:50Speaker 2: playoff seeding garbage last year was just awful. And, yeah,
- 45:53Speaker 2: it took a lot out of the playoffs in terms
- 45:57Speaker 2: of me watching it. Because I was like, exactly what
- 45:59Speaker 2: you just said. We have these top teams playing each
- 46:01Speaker 2: other already.
- 46:02Speaker 3: And, man, get out of here with that.
- 46:06Speaker 5: I mean, they could have at least probably won. They
- 46:11Speaker 5: could have probably made it to the conference finals with
- 46:13Speaker 5: that whole road.
- 46:14Speaker 3: I don't know what the playoff.
- 46:16Speaker 5: A one through eight and how it'll play it out.
- 46:20Speaker 5: But they certainly probably would have had a better chance
- 46:22Speaker 5: to at least get to the conference finals. Had it
- 46:26Speaker 5: been a, a better playoff format. I know that's you're
- 46:30Speaker 5: shedding tears over that, but I mean, well, it's just stupid,
- 46:36Speaker 5: you know?
- 46:37Speaker 3: No, exactly.
- 46:38Speaker 2: All right.
- 46:39Speaker 5: Well, good things for the NHL, you know, eons ago
- 46:42Speaker 5: when he became the commissioner, but it seems like he's,
- 46:46Speaker 5: stayed as welcome to, you know, too long and that
- 46:49Speaker 5: they need some baseball did, you know, when they went
- 46:54Speaker 5: to Fred Manfred, you know, he did some things to
- 46:58Speaker 5: baseball that Pierce didn't like, you know, pitch clock and
- 47:03Speaker 5: stuff like that. But no, you go a couple years
- 47:06Speaker 5: later and everybody there's a, you know, about the only
- 47:09Speaker 5: thing I can think of that he instituted that people
- 47:12Speaker 5: may not like, um, Right now it's still like the
- 47:15Speaker 5: ghost runner, you know, on second base. That's about the
- 47:19Speaker 5: only thing that I hear people complain about that they
- 47:22Speaker 5: don't like. But all these other things that they added
- 47:25Speaker 5: in baseball, and he did pitch clock and things of
- 47:27Speaker 5: that nature, you know, everybody fought back to begin with.
- 47:31Speaker 5: But they're going, hey, oh, that's a pretty good idea.
- 47:33Speaker 5: Baseball games are moving. They've got a lot quicker pace. And,
- 47:37Speaker 5: you know, they probably need some of that in hockey
- 47:40Speaker 5: in terms of, a little more vision going forward than
- 47:44Speaker 5: a guy that's been there for so many years that
- 47:47Speaker 5: did good things at the beginning when he.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Got the job. Hey, Rookie. I know, I'm just the
- 47:53Speaker 3: radio guy in Green Bay.
- 47:55Speaker 2: Be quiet. The Rookie knows all. He is the man.
- 47:59Speaker 2: And let me get you out of here on this.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Since we're talking baseball, I guess I got to digress
- 48:03Speaker 2: to the city down south of you there. Good thing
- 48:07Speaker 2: the Cubs gear isn't on right now, but the Milwaukee Brewers.
- 48:10Speaker 2: And it was kind of interesting because I– You know,
- 48:13Speaker 2: as I was working today, listening to some of the
- 48:15Speaker 2: national sports radio, the Brewers came up a couple of times.
- 48:19Speaker 2: What is it going to take, in your opinion, for
- 48:22Speaker 2: Milwaukee to get a World Series run in them? I mean,
- 48:25Speaker 2: they've had some really stellar teams. The crowd's phenomenal. Very impressive.
- 48:30Speaker 2: You know, as a Cubs fan, I got to admit
- 48:32Speaker 2: what they're doing. But what is it going to take
- 48:35Speaker 2: for them to get that deep, deep playoff run, if
- 48:38Speaker 2: not World Series title? Yeah.
- 48:43Speaker 3: Probably power hitting in the postseason.
- 48:47Speaker 5: You know, I think, you know, when you get to
- 48:50Speaker 5: the playoffs, right, you are facing the best pitchers of
- 48:54Speaker 5: each team, right?
- 48:56Speaker 3: One, two, three.
- 48:57Speaker 5: I don't know how often they even go to a
- 48:59Speaker 5: fourth starter anymore. Or then you're facing really good bullpens.
- 49:03Speaker 5: And the Brewers have picked up the power. Lately, over
- 49:07Speaker 5: the past two, three weeks, I haven't looked at the
- 49:09Speaker 5: numbers lately, but for the longest time during the regular season,
- 49:13Speaker 5: they were like.
- 49:15Speaker 3: Second to last, third to last in Major League Baseball
- 49:17Speaker 3: and home runs.
- 49:18Speaker 5: And when you get to the playoffs and you're facing
- 49:21Speaker 5: the best pitchers, it's hard to string together three, four hits, right?
- 49:27Speaker 5: You know, small ball, driving in a run here, driving,
- 49:30Speaker 5: you know, all that stuff. You need to somehow get
- 49:33Speaker 5: a guy or two on, whether it be a base hit,
- 49:35Speaker 5: an air walk, whatever it may be. And then with
- 49:38Speaker 5: one Swing of the bat, you need to be able
- 49:40Speaker 5: to put three runs on the board. And last year,
- 49:43Speaker 5: when they lost to the Dodgers in the NLCS, they
- 49:48Speaker 5: scored one run in all four games, I believe it was.
- 49:51Speaker 5: The Dodgers hit home runs. Obviously, the Brewers didn't. And
- 49:54Speaker 5: I think that's a big deal. I think they've got
- 49:57Speaker 5: the makeup that they can make a run. I certainly
- 50:00Speaker 5: think they got the pitching with Miz and with Logan Henderson,
- 50:04Speaker 5: who's been unbelievable.
- 50:06Speaker 3: Kyle Harrison is incredible. Since he came back from injury,
- 50:09Speaker 3: he has struggled a little bit.
- 50:10Speaker 5: But if I'm Pat Murphy, I would not pitch Kyle
- 50:15Speaker 5: Harrison on the road in the playoffs. He'd only pitch
- 50:18Speaker 5: at Miller Park or Amphat, I should say, because he's
- 50:22Speaker 5: a sub-two ERA at home and over six on the road.
- 50:26Speaker 5: It's just dramatic what it is, his numbers at home
- 50:31Speaker 5: versus on the road.
- 50:32Speaker 3: So I'd only pitch him at home. And then they've
- 50:34Speaker 3: got a lot of good young players. I mean, they're
- 50:36Speaker 3: going to be.
- 50:38Speaker 5: They're going to have bites of the apple for a
- 50:41Speaker 5: long time because they've got a lot of young guys
- 50:44Speaker 5: under club control.
- 50:46Speaker 3: They've got a lot of depth coming up to fill
- 50:49Speaker 3: guys or to make moves if they want to.
- 50:52Speaker 5: I'm glad I was totally against the Scooble trade at
- 50:56Speaker 5: the deadline because of what they would have had to
- 50:59Speaker 5: give up if they could have gotten somebody back with
- 51:01Speaker 5: a little club control as well.
- 51:02Speaker 3: No problem.
- 51:03Speaker 5: I'm not against giving up pieces. I just don't want
- 51:05Speaker 5: to give up a lot for a rental player. So,
- 51:10Speaker 5: and I thought, I always thought they had pretty good pitching.
- 51:12Speaker 5: I didn't think Scooble, you know, the Dodgers were the
- 51:15Speaker 5: favorites to win the world series before Scooble was even traded.
- 51:18Speaker 5: And I always pose this question to my, my listeners.
- 51:22Speaker 5: I said, okay, the Dodgers are the favorite to win
- 51:24Speaker 5: the world series. Scooble has is on the Tigers. If
- 51:28Speaker 5: the Brewers trade for Scooble, do they suddenly become the
- 51:31Speaker 5: favorites to the, to win the.
- 51:32Speaker 3: World series or are the Dodgers still the favorites? And
- 51:35Speaker 3: to me, the Dodgers would still be the favorite. Yeah.
- 51:38Speaker 3: you know, done what you need, but they're going to
- 51:40Speaker 3: be around for a while.
- 51:40Speaker 5: I love the, I love the Brewers. I did not
- 51:42Speaker 5: grow up with major league baseball in, in Denver. They only,
- 51:46Speaker 5: only had minor league baseball. So I've, I've never had a.
- 51:51Speaker 3: Sure, you know, favorite.
- 51:53Speaker 5: The Brewers are kind of my favorite now because I've
- 51:55Speaker 5: been over here in Wisconsin for 30 years. But when
- 51:57Speaker 5: I was working in Minnesota, I went to twins games
- 52:00Speaker 5: all the time. I went to the 87 world series
- 52:03Speaker 5: as a fan. I went to the 91, uh, World Series,
- 52:05Speaker 5: working in the media. I always enjoyed the twins of
- 52:08Speaker 5: that era. You know, Kent Herbeck, Gary Gaiety, you know,
- 52:14Speaker 5: Jack Morris, all those guys. Tom Kelly is the manager.
- 52:19Speaker 5: Really enjoyed that group of twins, you know. And now
- 52:23Speaker 5: being over in Milwaukee for 30 years, I've.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Really latched on to the Brewers. And they're a really
- 52:27Speaker 3: good organization. They're well run.
- 52:29Speaker 5: They do a fantastic job, and Pat Murphy's going to
- 52:31Speaker 5: get screwed out of being the manager of the year
- 52:34Speaker 5: for the third year in a row because nobody's won it,
- 52:38Speaker 5: and you can't convince me that anybody deserves to be
- 52:41Speaker 5: manager of the year in the National League more than
- 52:43Speaker 5: Pat Murphy, but I think they're talking about Walt Weiss
- 52:46Speaker 5: over in Atlanta, but they've tapered off a little bit,
- 52:49Speaker 5: and then they're talking about Don Mattingly with Philadelphia who's
- 52:52Speaker 5: turned that team around.
- 52:55Speaker 3: But to me.
- 52:57Speaker 5: Pat Murphy should be the manager of the year, but
- 52:59Speaker 5: I know they won't vote him that because nobody's won
- 53:01Speaker 5: it three years in a row, and baseball's kind of
- 53:03Speaker 5: like that.
- 53:04Speaker 2: No, exactly. All right, rookie, thank you for your time.
- 53:07Speaker 2: I really need you out of here. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 53:11Speaker 3: I don't want to go.
- 53:12Speaker 2: Let's talk more. No, we need to hang out in person,
- 53:14Speaker 2: like you said. I will make time for the show.
- 53:18Speaker 2: If you can give me a 24-hour heads up, I'll
- 53:20Speaker 2: make it happen. You're coming over for the Michigan game.
- 53:24Speaker 2: And that too. Yes, yes. We need to hang out
- 53:26Speaker 2: in person.
- 53:29Speaker 3: Let all your viewers know my son Jackson is at
- 53:31Speaker 3: the U. He's a freshman.
- 53:33Speaker 5: He's working in the Gopher football department in the equipment room.
- 53:39Speaker 3: And he's loving it. Can I tell you one funny story?
- 53:43Speaker 3: Of course. Is that all right? Are you out of time?
- 53:45Speaker 2: No, no.
- 53:46Speaker 3: Go ahead. So Jackson's over in the equipment room.
- 53:50Speaker 5: And he's the only freshman equipment manager, student equipment manager.
- 53:54Speaker 3: All the others are upperclassmen.
- 53:55Speaker 5: So he goes in there and he doesn't really know
- 53:57Speaker 5: what's going on. to expect and what's going on. And
- 54:00Speaker 5: as you know, they've got like 17 or 18 student
- 54:03Speaker 5: equipment managers and you know, there's what 125 kids on
- 54:08Speaker 5: a college football team or whatever.
- 54:10Speaker 3: So I love getting the stories from him.
- 54:11Speaker 5: Cause he's telling me stories that I don't even know
- 54:13Speaker 5: from like at, at the Packers behind the scenes with
- 54:18Speaker 5: equipment and stuff. So this goes back a few weeks ago.
- 54:22Speaker 5: He goes, dad, we had a, uh, gopher player draft
- 54:29Speaker 5: which was essentially they call it the helmet draft and
- 54:33Speaker 5: it's where you draft players and then those are your
- 54:38Speaker 5: drafts everybody drafts seven players and those are the seven
- 54:42Speaker 5: players who you are in charge of their helmet for
- 54:45Speaker 5: the year.
- 54:46Speaker 3: To make it all buffed up after a game get.
- 54:49Speaker 5: All the steps off make it nice and shiny make
- 54:51Speaker 5: sure all the decals are not ripped all that You
- 54:55Speaker 5: got to change out the face mask depending on what
- 54:58Speaker 5: look they're going with, right?
- 54:59Speaker 3: You got to make sure the gun straps on and everything, right?
- 55:02Speaker 3: You're in charge of that player's helmet for the season.
- 55:06Speaker 5: So they have a helmet draft and you get these
- 55:08Speaker 5: seven guys helmets that you're in charge of, as I said. Well,
- 55:12Speaker 5: the object is to draft for the first people you
- 55:16Speaker 5: draft are the guys on the.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Team that don't play or play very little because their
- 55:22Speaker 3: helmets never get scuffed. Right.
- 55:24Speaker 2: Kind of the opposite mentality you're thinking.
- 55:27Speaker 5: Right.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 55:28Speaker 2: So it's kind of funny.
- 55:29Speaker 3: So he doesn't know this. He's trying to, I'll draft
- 55:31Speaker 3: this guy and I'll draft that guy. Cause he's the,
- 55:34Speaker 3: he's the stud guy here and the stud guy there.
- 55:37Speaker 7: And all the other, all the other upperclassmen are drafting,
- 55:40Speaker 7: you know, helmets of kids that don't play or play
- 55:44Speaker 7: very little because there's very little work to do on
- 55:46Speaker 7: them because they're never scouted up and ripped and all that.
- 55:49Speaker 3: When he was telling me this story, I said, Oh,
- 55:51Speaker 3: please tell me you didn't draft a lineman. You know, Right.
- 55:54Speaker 5: He goes, I think I got the starting right guard.
- 55:58Speaker 5: And I'm like, Oh, it's pretty funny. I think that's
- 56:01Speaker 5: kind of a funny story, kind of the fun stuff
- 56:03Speaker 5: that they do. And, and he's having a ball working
- 56:06Speaker 5: with the gopher program and, and, and good time.
- 56:10Speaker 2: So anyway, Well, Brooke, thank you again for your time,
- 56:14Speaker 2: my friend. It is very much appreciated. We will see
- 56:17Speaker 2: you in person soon. Yes, please definitely get together on

- 56:30Speaker 3: ones this weekend.

- 56:34Speaker 2: to Lisa, of course.
- 56:35Speaker 3: I will.
