- 0:42Speaker 2: Kiki and life, love and all that other ship. I
- 0:45Speaker 2: am your host, Kiki Chanel. Today we are with a
- 0:48Speaker 2: special guest. But you guys know how I like to do.
- 0:52Speaker 2: I like to give my guests the opportunity to introduce themselves.
- 0:55Speaker 2: So I am going to turn it over to Rachel. Rachel,
- 0:59Speaker 2: thank you for coming to kick it with me.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Kiki. I'm so honored to be on your show. And
- 1:04Speaker 4: Hi everybody out there in the world. I'll I'll do
- 1:07Speaker 4: a little intro. Let me try, Let me try to
- 1:09Speaker 4: do as good as I know you would do. Girl, Okay,
- 1:11Speaker 4: I know you on this.
- 1:13Speaker 3: So I'm a girl.
- 1:14Speaker 4: I'm a I'm a girl from trailer parks in Georgia
- 1:17Speaker 4: who moved to the Big LA and started working in entertainment,
- 1:21Speaker 4: started a company, did all the things and was kind
- 1:25Speaker 4: of climbing the accolade ladder trying to prove that I
- 1:28Speaker 4: was worthy of love.
- 1:29Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure. And then one day found out I
- 1:32Speaker 3: needed to.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Undergo open heart surgery and everything in my life changed.
- 1:37Speaker 4: And now I've kind of looked at this past life
- 1:40Speaker 4: and this also sort of current life, where I do
- 1:42Speaker 4: a lot of media.
- 1:43Speaker 3: I produce twenty different shows.
- 1:45Speaker 4: I have my own media network, and you know, we
- 1:47Speaker 4: put shows out into the world and really cool platforms.
- 1:50Speaker 4: But you know, it's really for me. Life is about
- 1:53Speaker 4: doing what you're here for and not backing down, not
- 1:56Speaker 4: letting fear scare you off.
- 1:58Speaker 3: And so that's just.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Me a mama and a hard work in mama.
- 2:03Speaker 2: There you go, Well, I'm grateful for you to be
- 2:06Speaker 2: here because we just talked about your little one a
- 2:08Speaker 2: little bit and you have a lot age five. Yeah,
- 2:11Speaker 2: you moving around a lot.
- 2:14Speaker 4: I am moving around a lot. But it's so fun.
- 2:17Speaker 4: You know, life is so special and it's such a gift.
- 2:19Speaker 4: And I think when you kind of face the challenge
- 2:22Speaker 4: of am I going to get through this?
- 2:23Speaker 3: Am I going to make it?
- 2:24Speaker 4: You can find yourself in a totally different shift. And
- 2:28Speaker 4: so I think that that shift of my open heart
- 2:31Speaker 4: surgery was really necessary, but it wasn't easy.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Right, absolutely, So that brings us to our topic, starving
- 2:38Speaker 2: fear feeding Faith. That's what we're going to talk about today.
- 2:42Speaker 2: So when you hear the topic starving fear feeding faith,
- 2:46Speaker 2: what's the first thing that comes to mind?
- 2:49Speaker 3: Well, to be honest, that is part two of my book.
- 2:52Speaker 4: That is really I just wrote a book called You
- 2:54Speaker 4: Can't Heal Your Life, But I know a guy and
- 2:57Speaker 4: we broke it down into three parts.
- 2:59Speaker 3: And part one is getting.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Real and raw about your life, just really looking within
- 3:04Speaker 4: and asking yourself like what's working, what's not working, and why.
- 3:08Speaker 3: It's that conversation to be.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Aware of where we're contributing to problems, where maybe our
- 3:13Speaker 4: environment or the people around us are contributing what we
- 3:15Speaker 4: can do about it. And my second part is literally
- 3:18Speaker 4: star fear, feed faith. And then yeah, that's literally the vie.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:24Speaker 3: And then the third part is do what you're here for.
- 3:27Speaker 4: And I think that things have to go in that
- 3:29Speaker 4: direction to really get to that place of finding what
- 3:32Speaker 4: you're actually here on this planet for.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Wow.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Okay, I got goosebumps now because I did not know
- 3:39Speaker 2: that we didn't talk about that guys before the show.
- 3:42Speaker 2: This is we were meeting each other for the first time.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Right now in the space, let's just get into it.
- 3:48Speaker 2: You often say get real. What does that truly mean
- 3:51Speaker 2: in the world that awards performance over uthenticity, especially in media.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Well, I think that's such a great question, a great
- 4:01Speaker 4: way to start. I think, you know, there's so many
- 4:03Speaker 4: different layers of get real, right. The first one is
- 4:07Speaker 4: get real in your personal life, because I think that
- 4:10Speaker 4: so many of us try to go out and achieve
- 4:13Speaker 4: and achieve and achieve, but we forget about all the
- 4:16Speaker 4: bullet points that happen right before that achievement.
- 4:18Speaker 3: And what I mean by that is, let's say that.
- 4:20Speaker 4: You're rushing out because you have a big presentation to
- 4:23Speaker 4: do at work, but you don't feel like you have
- 4:27Speaker 4: the time to sit for five minutes and cuddle with
- 4:29Speaker 4: the little people in your life or maybe the spouse
- 4:31Speaker 4: or partner or friend. And then you find yourself, you know,
- 4:35Speaker 4: getting oh, I didn't eat healthy, I didn't get going.
- 4:37Speaker 4: You just kind of keep going every day all the ways, right,
- 4:41Speaker 4: So you're going through those bullet points and maybe you're
- 4:44Speaker 4: ignoring along the way your spiritual journey because I think
- 4:47Speaker 4: a lot of us demand a lot of ourselves and
- 4:51Speaker 4: our bodies in a physical world. I need you to
- 4:54Speaker 4: show up, brain, I need you to rock this presentation. Body,
- 4:58Speaker 4: don't you fail me. Now we're on the last five
- 5:00Speaker 4: k We're doing we got this right. You're doing all
- 5:03Speaker 4: these things, and we forget of the spiritual experience, the stuff.
- 5:07Speaker 3: That a lot of times we have.
- 5:10Speaker 4: To heal from, our kids have to heal from as
- 5:13Speaker 4: they grow up. Like all that stuff is actually, in
- 5:16Speaker 4: my opinion, really rooted in your spiritual experience. And so
- 5:21Speaker 4: I think that the bullet points, the little heart beats
- 5:25Speaker 4: in between finding your way to that big presentation that
- 5:29Speaker 4: you feel like everything is hanging on, are the things
- 5:32Speaker 4: that matter the most?
- 5:33Speaker 2: Absolutely so, before the platform and before all its titles.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Who is just Rachel?
- 5:40Speaker 3: That's so sweet?
- 5:42Speaker 2: You know.
- 5:42Speaker 4: I took a long time trying to figure that out. Honestly,
- 5:46Speaker 4: it took me a long time to find her. She
- 5:50Speaker 4: was very buried. She was buried under trauma, under major depressions,
- 5:56Speaker 4: suicidal ideations, fear, crippling fear, and panic attacks. I was
- 6:03Speaker 4: always the girl who pushes through no matter what, and
- 6:08Speaker 4: what I have been learning in these last few months
- 6:12Speaker 4: and few years is how to put my hand up
- 6:16Speaker 4: when something's too big for me. Because I'm the first
- 6:19Speaker 4: girl who's going to volunteer, the last one who's going
- 6:22Speaker 4: to think about her experiences and whether or not she
- 6:25Speaker 4: has what it takes.
- 6:27Speaker 3: And I think it's.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Very important for all of us to take a beat
- 6:30Speaker 4: and just be real about what our limitations are and
- 6:35Speaker 4: to accept the fact that we don't need to be perfect.
- 6:37Speaker 4: You know. My joke is that I'm I started a
- 6:40Speaker 4: faith based apparel brand called Holy Spirit Vibe after my
- 6:44Speaker 4: heart surgery, and I literally tell people, I'm like, you
- 6:47Speaker 4: either see me where I'm on this talk show and
- 6:50Speaker 4: I'm producing all these shows. You see me like all
- 6:52Speaker 4: done up, or I'm in total sweats and you're like that,
- 6:55Speaker 4: there's no way that's Rachel, because she's like, you know,
- 6:58Speaker 4: it's so fun. I think in this season of my life,
- 7:01Speaker 4: I'm learning to just embrace all of those sides on
- 7:05Speaker 4: those platforms.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Right you ask who I am.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Underneath, I started leading a group of people and I
- 7:11Speaker 4: post all the videos on social to read the entire
- 7:14Speaker 4: Bible in ninety days.
- 7:16Speaker 3: And it has been just so much fun.
- 7:18Speaker 4: But the process for me has been Rachel like, you
- 7:21Speaker 4: were not gonna do makeup ninety.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Days in a row. Let's be honest, girl, you were
- 7:24Speaker 3: not gonna have it.
- 7:25Speaker 4: Like most times I post a video, I'm like, I
- 7:27Speaker 4: did not even brush my hair, like you know. But honestly,
- 7:30Speaker 4: I think my mom is still proud, and that's really
- 7:32Speaker 4: the biggest concern I think any of.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Us would have, right.
- 7:35Speaker 4: But I think I've gotten to this place where I'm
- 7:37Speaker 4: just like, you know, this is me like twenty four
- 7:40Speaker 4: to seven, like you know, and when I'm falling apart,
- 7:43Speaker 4: when I'm feeling insecure and scared, I'm in that place
- 7:45Speaker 4: where I'm like.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Okay, well, I'm gonna go back to the basics.
- 7:48Speaker 4: I'm gonna get low, I'm gonna pray, I'm gonna put
- 7:51Speaker 4: on my favorite Brandon Lake song. I'm going to belt
- 7:54Speaker 4: it from the bottom of my belly and just realize
- 7:57Speaker 4: that no matter what we face in this life actually
- 8:00Speaker 4: called to so much more. And I think that not
- 8:03Speaker 4: knowing that keeps us stuck, and then we stay stuck,
- 8:05Speaker 4: and then we get discouraged because we're stuck, and then
- 8:08Speaker 4: we start to feel the imposter syndrome, the self doubt
- 8:11Speaker 4: the insecurity and then we're like, Okay, I don't even
- 8:13Speaker 4: want to move, and I'm the girl who's like, honey,
- 8:16Speaker 4: you are going to move, and I'm going to hold
- 8:17Speaker 4: you every step of the way.
- 8:19Speaker 2: I love it. I love it. I love it. What
- 8:23Speaker 2: fears have you personally had to starve in order to
- 8:27Speaker 2: step fully into your purpose?
- 8:30Speaker 4: Well, that's a good question. So many it is. The
- 8:34Speaker 4: short answer. I would say number one has been the
- 8:39Speaker 4: perfectionism really held me back.
- 8:42Speaker 3: And in my do what.
- 8:44Speaker 4: You're here for and star fear feed faith parts of
- 8:48Speaker 4: my book, I talk a lot about how done is
- 8:50Speaker 4: better than perfect, like we just need to commit to
- 8:55Speaker 4: done right. It's more important for me think about these
- 8:58Speaker 4: videos I just share with you, to post that video
- 9:01Speaker 4: that one person might hear and get impacted for him,
- 9:04Speaker 4: ninety nine thousand other people can laugh at me and
- 9:06Speaker 4: say I look ugly and oh my goodness, what is
- 9:09Speaker 4: she doing. But if there's one human being out there
- 9:11Speaker 4: who hears that message and whose life is impacted, let's
- 9:15Speaker 4: really double click on that. Let's think about that person's children,
- 9:18Speaker 4: Let's think about the relationship with their spouse. Let's think
- 9:22Speaker 4: about how things could change if something that's said something
- 9:25Speaker 4: that you have to say with your platform actually save
- 9:28Speaker 4: someone's marriage. How that can impact the children to grow
- 9:31Speaker 4: up in a home where they have both parents there.
- 9:34Speaker 4: I mean, in today's world, that is more than a luxury.
- 9:38Speaker 4: That is like, you know, you're clinging with broken nails
- 9:41Speaker 4: and a broken heart and bloody fingers right, like you
- 9:44Speaker 4: gotta keep it together, right, that's really and many people
- 9:47Speaker 4: don't have that unbelievable luxury. Many My mom was a
- 9:50Speaker 4: single mom working so hard, like at a sweet little barbershop,
- 9:55Speaker 4: trying to provide for me and her. Once my dad
- 9:57Speaker 4: and my sisters moved away and we were living in
- 9:59Speaker 4: a trailer park, and then another one and another one.
- 10:01Speaker 4: You know, it's like the things that you go through
- 10:04Speaker 4: in this life, the loss, the heartbreak, the devastation, the rejection,
- 10:10Speaker 4: the depression, like they are not tiny things. And if
- 10:13Speaker 4: you look at statistics on mental health and schools and
- 10:17Speaker 4: bullying and all these things, you have to really ask yourself,
- 10:20Speaker 4: are we a society a little sick? And if we're sick,
- 10:24Speaker 4: then what do we need? And personally, I believe we
- 10:27Speaker 4: need a savior. That's why I wrote a book that
- 10:30Speaker 4: said you can't heal your life. But I know a
- 10:32Speaker 4: guy because I don't think.
- 10:34Speaker 2: I mean.
- 10:34Speaker 4: I've spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in therapy, I've
- 10:37Speaker 4: read over a thousand self help books. I've checked myself
- 10:40Speaker 4: in a treatment my first year of marriage to my
- 10:42Speaker 4: husband for thirty days, trying to get better, trying to
- 10:44Speaker 4: heal all these things right, a million things.
- 10:48Speaker 3: But the truth of all of it is that.
- 10:50Speaker 4: I'm actually on a journey right now where I'm realizing
- 10:54Speaker 4: I couldn't heal myself. I couldn't heal my literal broken heart.
- 10:58Speaker 4: I couldn't operate on myself. My heartbeat stopped for five
- 11:02Speaker 4: hours for a surgery that one in five people do
- 11:04Speaker 4: not survive.
- 11:06Speaker 3: I couldn't do that for myself. But I do know.
- 11:10Speaker 4: I do know a guy who loves you more than
- 11:12Speaker 4: you could possibly imagine, and who thought of you before
- 11:15Speaker 4: he laid the foundation of the world, and who fearfully
- 11:18Speaker 4: and wonderfully made you, and who has a call and
- 11:20Speaker 4: purpose on your life.
- 11:21Speaker 3: And does not make mistakes.
- 11:23Speaker 4: And he did not start with you, and he's not
- 11:25Speaker 4: gonna start with your little you or your littles. He
- 11:28Speaker 4: is in your story, and he wants to be more
- 11:31Speaker 4: in it. No matter how your story, he is guaranteed
- 11:34Speaker 4: he wants more.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Absolutely listen. And I love the fact that you are
- 11:40Speaker 2: a woman of faith because so many people turn away
- 11:44Speaker 2: from it because of their being afraid of what social
- 11:46Speaker 2: media are not getting the likes, the clicks or whatever.
- 11:50Speaker 2: And I tell people all the time, I love God.
- 11:52Speaker 2: He loves me. I talk about God on my podcast
- 11:55Speaker 2: and every platform that I have because He has been
- 11:58Speaker 2: too good, not too Yes. Yeah. And I think that
- 12:03Speaker 2: it's very important to have a spiritual relationship because that
- 12:09Speaker 2: right there helps when the adversity comes, or when you
- 12:14Speaker 2: feel like you're not enough, or that imposter syndrome that
- 12:17Speaker 2: you talked about come into play, or even when you're
- 12:20Speaker 2: going through a season. In relationships, that's hard if you
- 12:24Speaker 2: don't have a spiritual relationship. I have a relationship with God.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Y'all can have whatever type of relationship with whoever you
- 12:31Speaker 2: decide to do, but it is important to have something
- 12:36Speaker 2: to lean on, to stand on to get you through it.
- 12:40Speaker 2: And prayer is my go to girl.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Literally. You know, it's so interesting.
- 12:46Speaker 4: I feel like you can find so much peace in
- 12:48Speaker 4: your life when you just open up your heart, close
- 12:52Speaker 4: your eyes, put your hands together and just say God,
- 12:55Speaker 4: please help, Like you know, it's I think that the
- 12:58Speaker 4: problem when we don't pray is that we feel like
- 13:01Speaker 4: it's all up to us. And I'm going to tell
- 13:03Speaker 4: you it is way too much pressure. It's way too
- 13:07Speaker 4: much pressure for me to parent without prayer. It's way
- 13:10Speaker 4: too much pressure for me to produce twenty different TV
- 13:12Speaker 4: shows my own included, without prayer. I mean, I find
- 13:17Speaker 4: my life and shambles all the time, and I got
- 13:19Speaker 4: to pray myself through it, right, Like, I think that
- 13:22Speaker 4: when you're constantly in this zone of your life where
- 13:25Speaker 4: you're wanting to do more and achieve more, but you're
- 13:29Speaker 4: not remembering that the most important thing that any of
- 13:32Speaker 4: us can ever do is to really do what we're
- 13:35Speaker 4: here for, what we're called to. There's a really sweet
- 13:38Speaker 4: verse in the Bible where Yeshuah Jesus says, I like
- 13:41Speaker 4: calling him in Yeshua because that it's like his Hebrew name.
- 13:43Speaker 3: You know, his mama would have caught him. He says,
- 13:45Speaker 3: I only do what the Father says. And I think
- 13:48Speaker 3: that that's really the liberating thing.
- 13:50Speaker 4: There are so many devastating things that are happening in
- 13:53Speaker 4: the world, but what is the father telling you to
- 13:55Speaker 4: do There are so many dreams, there are so many opportunities.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Your best friend down the hall who just started that company,
- 14:01Speaker 4: and you're like, I could have done that.
- 14:02Speaker 3: But is it what the father is saying to do?
- 14:05Speaker 3: Is the father inviting.
- 14:06Speaker 4: You to be happy and be content and feel the
- 14:10Speaker 4: peace that passes understanding wherever you are, No matter what,
- 14:15Speaker 4: I believe he absolutely is.
- 14:16Speaker 3: And I think that we have put so.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Much pressure on ourselves, on our families, on having all
- 14:24Speaker 4: these things that honestly don't matter at all. Like I
- 14:27Speaker 4: am so done with collecting things that collect us. I'm
- 14:31Speaker 4: done with it, girl, I am storing up in my eternity.
- 14:34Speaker 4: I was banging on that door on March fourteenth when
- 14:37Speaker 4: I was having my surgery. I was like, I don't know,
- 14:39Speaker 4: I might be coming for you real quick, Lord, I
- 14:41Speaker 4: might be get there, you know.
- 14:43Speaker 3: But he had another plan.
- 14:44Speaker 4: And I opened my eyes from that surgery and I
- 14:46Speaker 4: thought I survived, Thank you Jesus, and get this thing
- 14:51Speaker 4: out of my throat.
- 14:52Speaker 3: And then when I got back into life, I literally.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Was like, you know what, I don't want to be
- 14:57Speaker 4: the same Rachel. I don't want to be the same girl.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Poll who struggles to please everybody and.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Their mama, and it's like it's too much, it's too much.
- 15:06Speaker 4: If I just keep my eyes above, my elevation is higher,
- 15:11Speaker 4: my thinking is higher, His ways are higher than mine.
- 15:13Speaker 3: I'm literally able to be like, Okay, why am I afraid?
- 15:17Speaker 3: Why am I worried about what could be? When I
- 15:20Speaker 3: know who he is.
- 15:21Speaker 4: I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know who
- 15:23Speaker 4: holds tomorrow, and I'm willing to take that to the bank.
- 15:27Speaker 4: I'm willing to give my everything for that belief that
- 15:31Speaker 4: I'm good no matter what comes at me.
- 15:33Speaker 3: And a lot comes at me.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Girl, Yeah, yeah, And that's called life. Life. We always
- 15:38Speaker 2: get curveballs, and when you know whose you are and
- 15:44Speaker 2: where your help comes from, it does make things so
- 15:47Speaker 2: much easier. The things that used to get onto your
- 15:50Speaker 2: skin don't matter anymore, you know, the things that used
- 15:53Speaker 2: to get you out of character don't matter anymore. I
- 15:57Speaker 2: know for me going through a healing journey, and I
- 15:59Speaker 2: know it's nothing compared to have an open heart surgery,
- 16:03Speaker 2: But when you are wanting better for yourself, that faith
- 16:11Speaker 2: takes the forefront and it helps you get through the
- 16:15Speaker 2: times that adversity comes because we all go have adversity.
- 16:18Speaker 2: It's a part of life, that's it.
- 16:21Speaker 4: But I want to tell you your journey is just
- 16:25Speaker 4: as huge because the thing that we feel I think
- 16:27Speaker 4: sometimes and this I don't think is for us. I
- 16:31Speaker 4: don't think that it's for us to feel like, oh
- 16:34Speaker 4: I shouldn't be upset, I shouldn't be this because this
- 16:37Speaker 4: or it's not because the beautiful thing.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Is that you are a survivor, you are a warrior.
- 16:42Speaker 4: You've been going after it, you've faced it, and the
- 16:45Speaker 4: storm of your storm doesn't matter. I mean, who's measuring
- 16:49Speaker 4: ways when their ship is over taken? Right?
- 16:51Speaker 3: Like I'm not measuring my way versus your way.
- 16:54Speaker 4: The truth is is that we have both faced unbelievable
- 16:57Speaker 4: things and just like.
- 16:57Speaker 3: You said, that is life.
- 16:58Speaker 4: As jayhad, my sweet love I love her so much,
- 17:01Speaker 4: would say, life will life right, that is the reality.
- 17:04Speaker 4: We know lifefull life. But we also know that God
- 17:07Speaker 4: is greater than all of it. And so I say
- 17:09Speaker 4: this to people because you know my brand, My world
- 17:13Speaker 4: is very mainstream. I worked in entertainment for a long time.
- 17:16Speaker 4: You know I have a very like public brand. I
- 17:19Speaker 4: was a swimsuit model.
- 17:21Speaker 3: It doesn't make a lot.
- 17:22Speaker 4: Of sense when I start quoting verses, But you know,
- 17:24Speaker 4: I my journey doesn't always make sense either, But God,
- 17:28Speaker 4: but you know what I realize, honestly, is that when
- 17:31Speaker 4: you have conversations like this where you're just willing to
- 17:34Speaker 4: explore a do I like where I'm at? That's that
- 17:39Speaker 4: whole get real thing, right, Like you got to know
- 17:41Speaker 4: where you're at. You got to be real about where
- 17:42Speaker 4: you're at, because the likelihood that you're gonna have the
- 17:46Speaker 4: same fourteen thousand thoughts today that you had yesterday is
- 17:49Speaker 4: very high scientifically.
- 17:51Speaker 3: So if I want to change.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Those fourteen thousand thoughts for today and then tomorrow, if
- 17:55Speaker 4: I want to respond differently when life hits me, and
- 17:58Speaker 4: especially while life is hitting you. I talk about that
- 18:01Speaker 4: too in my book, that there will be seasons of
- 18:03Speaker 4: your life where things are just impossibly difficult.
- 18:06Speaker 3: You have to understand.
- 18:07Speaker 4: I have a little process of like how to stop it, Like,
- 18:12Speaker 4: like what do you do to take a moment and
- 18:15Speaker 4: just say, hey, hold up, Like this is not working
- 18:18Speaker 4: for me. But we have to have grace for ourselves,
- 18:21Speaker 4: especially when we look at the past, which we cannot change.
- 18:24Speaker 4: But that's what fuels us to do something different potentially
- 18:28Speaker 4: in the future, because we always enter where we are
- 18:32Speaker 4: with the understanding that we have At this moment, people,
- 18:34Speaker 4: most people are doing the best they can with what
- 18:36Speaker 4: they have. The only invitation I'm giving people is, let's
- 18:40Speaker 4: have a little bit more. Let's have faith. Let's have
- 18:43Speaker 4: faith that we can build a life on that. When
- 18:46Speaker 4: the waves come, because they're going to come, And when
- 18:48Speaker 4: our boat starts letting in water because it's going to happen,
- 18:51Speaker 4: and you feel like you're sinking, how can.
- 18:53Speaker 3: You say, you know what?
- 18:54Speaker 4: I might feel like that, But I'm gonna believe that
- 18:58Speaker 4: God is in the middle of this and He's to
- 19:00Speaker 4: do something out of this, so that would not have
- 19:02Speaker 4: happened otherwise.
- 19:03Speaker 3: I'm a firm believer.
- 19:04Speaker 4: I've given full like I am yours and my love.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Thank you for taking me by the way. That's awesome
- 19:09Speaker 3: because I'm puite messy.
- 19:11Speaker 4: But you know, I believe that everything I sit in
- 19:13Speaker 4: God's hand and nothing can happen to me that doesn't
- 19:15Speaker 4: pass over his hand. I stood firm and fell apart
- 19:19Speaker 4: and crumbled and cried all over Romans eight twenty eight
- 19:23Speaker 4: when I was going through my surgery, that God works
- 19:25Speaker 4: all things together for good for those who love him
- 19:27Speaker 4: and are called according to His purpose. I fell apart
- 19:29Speaker 4: on that verse. Not for me, my whole life before that,
- 19:32Speaker 4: I would have done it for me. Oh, It's gonna
- 19:34Speaker 4: work out because God's no no, no, no A. Let's not
- 19:36Speaker 4: put that in a capitalism world. God's gonna work it
- 19:40Speaker 4: together for good for you, for the world, for your kids,
- 19:44Speaker 4: for your community, your family, for his purpose. That is
- 19:48Speaker 4: actually for everybody's greatest good, for the greatness of the world,
- 19:52Speaker 4: for everything that can happen. Because the greatest good for
- 19:55Speaker 4: anybody is that when they leave this planet, they go
- 19:58Speaker 4: somewhere real, beautiful that He's been preparing for us. That
- 20:01Speaker 4: is the greatest good. So when I was at the
- 20:03Speaker 4: end of my first round of heart beats, I really thought,
- 20:07Speaker 4: you know what, God's gonna work it together for good.
- 20:10Speaker 4: For my three year old son, whose sweet little face
- 20:13Speaker 4: I crawled down on his little bed and I kissed
- 20:16Speaker 4: before I went to the hospital, knowing they were about
- 20:18Speaker 4: to stop my heart.
- 20:19Speaker 3: I looked at that little face and I thought, God's
- 20:22Speaker 3: gonna work it for good.
- 20:23Speaker 4: If he grows up without a mama, it's gonna actually
- 20:27Speaker 4: be for good.
- 20:28Speaker 3: That's a really scary prayer.
- 20:31Speaker 4: But another scary prayer that I pray about five times
- 20:34Speaker 4: a day is God is not your will, please block it.
- 20:36Speaker 4: I say that about everything from a parking space to
- 20:39Speaker 4: a new project I'm activating, to a new piece of
- 20:42Speaker 4: equipment I'm bringing into my studio. I don't want it
- 20:45Speaker 4: if it's not from Him, because I know that life
- 20:49Speaker 4: can be so much more beautiful when you were having
- 20:53Speaker 4: a spiritually led life that God's like, go here, do this.
- 20:57Speaker 4: I mean the amount of times God tells me go
- 20:59Speaker 4: pick up your mouth, like I really don't want to know.
- 21:01Speaker 3: It's really far all the way. What time is that? Okay?
- 21:03Speaker 3: And then I go and guess what.
- 21:05Speaker 4: There was a letter in there I really needed to address,
- 21:07Speaker 4: Like God does that.
- 21:08Speaker 3: He did that for me this morning, like it happens
- 21:10Speaker 3: all the time.
- 21:10Speaker 4: We just really want to open up our hearts to
- 21:14Speaker 4: hear the prompting and to be willing to move in
- 21:17Speaker 4: the spirit, because that's where the greatest, greatest connections really are.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Absolutely I love that, and I love that, and I
- 21:26Speaker 2: love that you talk so candidly about your open heart surgery,
- 21:29Speaker 2: the things that you were feeling, the prayers that you prayed,
- 21:32Speaker 2: thank you for being vulnerable enough to be transparent. The
- 21:35Speaker 2: listeners need to see that and hear that. But after
- 21:39Speaker 2: your open heart surgery, what shifted most for you? The
- 21:43Speaker 2: definition of success, your pace, are your priorities?
- 21:48Speaker 4: Oh my goodness, do I have to choose one? All
- 21:50Speaker 4: three of those shifted so dramatically, girl. I would say
- 21:57Speaker 4: for me, it was probably the first one.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Like I really.
- 22:02Speaker 4: I just realized that, like what I had been hanging
- 22:05Speaker 4: my hat on for success, accolades, the JumboTron and Tims Square,
- 22:09Speaker 4: the show on Bloomberg Television, the press, all the things.
- 22:14Speaker 4: You know what, none of that matters, dude, when you're
- 22:16Speaker 4: in an ugly, scratchy hospital gown and.
- 22:20Speaker 3: You're just like, I'm in a room and I see you,
- 22:25Speaker 3: and I'm just trying to.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Remember how to walk, and I'm praying that I could
- 22:29Speaker 4: get the strength to walk across the room, and I'm
- 22:32Speaker 4: asking them, you know, not to take the catheter out
- 22:34Speaker 4: because I'm not ready to walk yet to the restauran.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I mean, like that's real talk.
- 22:38Speaker 2: You know.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Success to me looks like the father being proud.
- 22:45Speaker 4: That's why I get interviews, and from a work perspective,
- 22:49Speaker 4: I probably.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Blow them because I don't even talk about my work.
- 22:56Speaker 4: I talk about what I think actually matters, because I'm
- 23:00Speaker 4: not storing up things that just store up.
- 23:04Speaker 3: I don't need any more junk. I don't need any
- 23:06Speaker 3: more space.
- 23:07Speaker 4: What I really need is to make Heaven super crowded
- 23:13Speaker 4: with people who, like me, have set in the floor
- 23:15Speaker 4: of a bathroom or closet, ready to give up, begging
- 23:19Speaker 4: God to do it, or about to do it themselves.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Those are the people I want to fill up.
- 23:25Speaker 4: Those are the people want to I want to grab them,
- 23:28Speaker 4: and I want to say, listen, I'm going to tell
- 23:29Speaker 4: you what I think God's been trying to tell you
- 23:31Speaker 4: for a.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Long time in all these signs. I'm going to tell
- 23:34Speaker 3: you right now.
- 23:35Speaker 4: Because when life puts you on your knees, I think it's.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Exactly where we should stay. I think that's exactly where
- 23:41Speaker 3: we should be.
- 23:42Speaker 4: I think life puts us on our knees because that
- 23:45Speaker 4: might be the only thing that gets our attention from
- 23:47Speaker 4: the busyness of the world that I believe are all
- 23:49Speaker 4: designated distractions. I think it's all a distraction from the
- 23:52Speaker 4: one thing that all of us are called to. I
- 23:54Speaker 4: don't worry about what I'm going to eat because God's
- 23:57Speaker 4: already got that, so he can.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Figure out what I'm gonna eat.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Honestly, Like I get by pretty quickly throughout the day
- 24:03Speaker 4: with a couple of granola bars and a protein.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Shake, you know what I mean.
- 24:06Speaker 4: Like I don't need the filet mignon, and I'm blessed
- 24:09Speaker 4: I get to have that, Thank you Jesus all the things.
- 24:12Speaker 3: My point is that we spend a lot of time.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Worried about what we're gonna eat, and what we're gonna drive,
- 24:17Speaker 4: and what brand is on it, and and how big
- 24:20Speaker 4: our house is. And then we gotta clean that big house, okay,
- 24:22Speaker 4: and then we gotta we gotta pay people to manage
- 24:25Speaker 4: that beautiful yard we had to have, And then we
- 24:27Speaker 4: work so hard we don't even look up because we're
- 24:29Speaker 4: so busy trying to pay that bill on the first
- 24:31Speaker 4: we don't even look up at all these things, and
- 24:33Speaker 4: we're we're all being sold a bad deal. I think
- 24:38Speaker 4: it's a bad deal. That's why my shift from success changed,
- 24:43Speaker 4: because I don't think that it actually makes me feel
- 24:46Speaker 4: that great when I've got too much. I've got more
- 24:49Speaker 4: than what the father told me to have or gave
- 24:51Speaker 4: me or wanted for me. I don't need all that.
- 24:53Speaker 4: I don't need that stress on my heart. I don't
- 24:55Speaker 4: need it for my family. What I do need is
- 24:57Speaker 4: I need to show up every day and do the
- 24:59Speaker 4: best I can excellence, to bless God, to bless the
- 25:02Speaker 4: people around me, all the people who shows they're entrusting
- 25:05Speaker 4: with me, that I get to put on these cool
- 25:07Speaker 4: platforms and do these cool things, Like that's exciting. It's
- 25:10Speaker 4: exciting to go on Roku and see people on there
- 25:13Speaker 4: who told me that they didn't know if the message mattered,
- 25:16Speaker 4: or they were scared, or they wrote a book and
- 25:18Speaker 4: now they don't know what to do.
- 25:19Speaker 3: And I'm like, well, let's make a show and let's
- 25:21Speaker 3: do this. Like that's exciting. That's what we're here for.
- 25:24Speaker 4: We're here to get messages of hope into the world
- 25:27Speaker 4: to help people find purpose. And wherever you are from
- 25:30Speaker 4: a faith or non faith perspective, the beautiful thing is
- 25:34Speaker 4: that if you're bringing love and light in the world,
- 25:36Speaker 4: we're on the exact same page.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Absolutely, that's perfectly said, perfectly said. I love that, and
- 25:42Speaker 2: I love how passionate you are when you talk about God.
- 25:46Speaker 2: It just it warms my heart because when you have
- 25:49Speaker 2: someone that loves God like you love God, it's just
- 25:52Speaker 2: an amazing experience to have. So I didn't know how
- 25:56Speaker 2: this was going with today.
- 25:57Speaker 3: I didn't know that I was gonna be all Tereia at.
- 25:59Speaker 2: It stuff today. I know you have no conversation, but
- 26:03Speaker 2: I didn't know that I was gonna get so emotional
- 26:06Speaker 2: because when you love God and God has brought you
- 26:09Speaker 2: through so many things, so many yeah. Yeah, So how
- 26:16Speaker 2: did your health journey deepen your message or expand your assignment?
- 26:21Speaker 3: Hmm, that's good.
- 26:22Speaker 2: You know.
- 26:23Speaker 3: My motto now is don't waste a heartbeat.
- 26:25Speaker 4: And that's how because I have always been the girl
- 26:29Speaker 4: who on my coaching calls, on my on my events,
- 26:35Speaker 4: when I speak, when I do interviews, I'm always that
- 26:37Speaker 4: girl who's like, we're gonna get you unstuck. I don't
- 26:39Speaker 4: know what it's got you stuck right now, but I'm
- 26:41Speaker 4: gonna find it and we're gonna get unstuck. I like
- 26:44Speaker 4: to break bondage, and now I get to do it
- 26:46Speaker 4: in a way that actually lasts, because it's with the
- 26:48Speaker 4: one who actually breaks bondage. But I think that what's
- 26:51Speaker 4: really changed for me is that I don't waste time.
- 26:54Speaker 3: I don't want my people wasting time.
- 26:56Speaker 4: If you've got a message of hope or faith, or
- 26:59Speaker 4: light or love that you want to put in the world,
- 27:01Speaker 4: and I have many shows that are not faith based, but.
- 27:04Speaker 3: I want to help that happen. I want to sit
- 27:06Speaker 3: in the studio with you.
- 27:07Speaker 4: I want to sit behind the camera when you feel
- 27:09Speaker 4: like Rachel, I cannot post this on social I cannot
- 27:12Speaker 4: do this on the show. I want to be the
- 27:13Speaker 4: girl behind the camera saying, Okay, well, let's go back
- 27:15Speaker 4: to twenty eighteen.
- 27:17Speaker 3: You who was.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Suddenly single with no savings, four little babies looking up
- 27:23Speaker 4: at your face, wondering what are we doing, Mama?
- 27:26Speaker 3: Where are we gonna eat? Where are we gonna live?
- 27:28Speaker 3: That person?
- 27:29Speaker 4: We're gonna talk to that person, because that is the
- 27:32Speaker 4: person that you're called to. Your pain brings your purpose.
- 27:35Speaker 4: But if you don't move into your purpose, you stay
- 27:37Speaker 4: stuck in the pain. I'm gonna say that again for
- 27:40Speaker 4: people in the back. When we don't move with our purpose,
- 27:43Speaker 4: we get stuck in the pain because all we know
- 27:45Speaker 4: how to do is keep living. That the only thing
- 27:49Speaker 4: that kept me going as I'm investing everything I had
- 27:52Speaker 4: into my healing journey, and all the things because I
- 27:55Speaker 4: wanted to heal for a future kid.
- 27:57Speaker 3: I knew I was.
- 27:57Speaker 4: Gonna have the only thing that kept me going. I
- 28:00Speaker 4: didn't feel worthy of the help. I didn't feel worthy
- 28:03Speaker 4: of the thirty thousand dollars it costs for people to
- 28:06Speaker 4: just get into treatment when they're highly suicidal and need
- 28:09Speaker 4: to like like take care of themselves.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Like.
- 28:11Speaker 3: I didn't feel worthy of that.
- 28:13Speaker 4: But the people that I felt called to help did,
- 28:17Speaker 4: and I borrowed that. I said, I will get better
- 28:20Speaker 4: for the people to come, I will get better for
- 28:22Speaker 4: future children. I will get better for the future generations.
- 28:25Speaker 4: So I say that because we all need that reminder.
- 28:30Speaker 4: God doesn't allow calamity for no reason. Ever, There's always
- 28:35Speaker 4: something now, there is wickedness in the world that He
- 28:38Speaker 4: adamantly pushes against and adamantly tries this in warnings and
- 28:42Speaker 4: signs and help.
- 28:43Speaker 3: I mean, he is.
- 28:44Speaker 4: Active in the scariest of worlds, and we are facing
- 28:48Speaker 4: scary situations in the world right. But my life is
- 28:52Speaker 4: not built on the economy. My life is not built
- 28:53Speaker 4: on politics. My life is not built on what's happening
- 28:56Speaker 4: in the world. My life is built on the firm
- 28:59Speaker 4: foundation of faith. So with that, I tell people, I
- 29:03Speaker 4: get it that you're scared. We're gonna do it anyway,
- 29:05Speaker 4: because we're gonna start with part one. We're gonna get real.
- 29:08Speaker 4: We're gonna get real about what the mess is. You're
- 29:10Speaker 4: gonna tell me all the things that you don't want
- 29:12Speaker 4: to tell anybody, because guess what, when you do that,
- 29:16Speaker 4: you start to see things, you start to understand things,
- 29:19Speaker 4: and you can be you know what, Actually there's something
- 29:21Speaker 4: here for me to heal. I'm in a pattern right here,
- 29:24Speaker 4: I'm in a loop right here. All right, Well, then
- 29:25Speaker 4: that's gone. Right now, we're gonna stop speaking that over you.
- 29:27Speaker 4: In the name of.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Jesus, we're gonna stop that.
- 29:29Speaker 4: Right So I'm passionate about helping people do that because
- 29:34Speaker 4: their purpose usually comes out of their pain, and it
- 29:38Speaker 4: unlocks pain from other people, and it changes the world
- 29:42Speaker 4: because with one person changed, even just you.
- 29:44Speaker 3: You change, I change a million people.
- 29:47Speaker 4: The ripple effect, the people we encounter at Trader Joe's
- 29:50Speaker 4: or Ralph's, the people that we go and see when
- 29:52Speaker 4: we go down the street, the way we show up
- 29:54Speaker 4: for our kids, the way that kid then goes to
- 29:56Speaker 4: school and shows up for his friends, and every there
- 29:59Speaker 4: is such a repel effect that we just don't even understand.
- 30:03Speaker 4: So I'm on a mission to get the one. And
- 30:05Speaker 4: once I have the one, I'm like, Okay, you're a multiplier.
- 30:08Speaker 4: There are people in life who are dividers. They create
- 30:11Speaker 4: division and conflict. No, honey, not about that. It's been
- 30:14Speaker 4: less than five percent of your life with those people.
- 30:15Speaker 4: There are people who are subtractors. Those are people just
- 30:18Speaker 4: kind of take give ten percent. That's your tithe right.
- 30:20Speaker 4: There are people who add give your seventy percent. There
- 30:24Speaker 4: of people who are adders, who are giving to your life.
- 30:26Speaker 3: Then you've got multipliers.
- 30:28Speaker 4: You can usually only get to about fifteen percent of
- 30:30Speaker 4: your life with them because there just aren't as many
- 30:32Speaker 4: of them. But I go on the lookout for multipliers.
- 30:35Speaker 4: I want to find people who are multiplying with messages
- 30:39Speaker 4: of hope. And what it means is you multiply people's lives.
- 30:41Speaker 4: You help it be better, You help them show up
- 30:43Speaker 4: better in their families, their marriages, their relationships, and I
- 30:47Speaker 4: want to build shows with them and around them that
- 30:49Speaker 4: help them get that message into the world. So for me,
- 30:53Speaker 4: success looks like me activating a bunch of people with However,
- 30:56Speaker 4: many heartbeats, I have yet left, because one day I'm
- 30:59Speaker 4: al this planet and I'm going to be like, bless
- 31:01Speaker 4: you guys. I'm in my glory days, right, But I
- 31:05Speaker 4: want to make sure that in the time that I've
- 31:06Speaker 4: spent in this in this season, that I have equipped
- 31:09Speaker 4: and gotten people unstuck who need to get those messages
- 31:13Speaker 4: in the world, because they're usually the sweet, sensitive ones
- 31:15Speaker 4: who are like, I don't know, Rachel, I don't know.
- 31:17Speaker 4: If I'm like, yeah, look, my family's in entertainment, my
- 31:20Speaker 4: friends are all in entertainment. I'm like, I'm trying to
- 31:22Speaker 4: help the girl in the back who's like, like trying
- 31:24Speaker 4: to take the videos, I'm like, no, I want you
- 31:26Speaker 4: on the stage.
- 31:28Speaker 2: You're right, I love it. I love it, and you
- 31:32Speaker 2: encourage people to do what you're here for. How does
- 31:36Speaker 2: someone discover what they're truly here for beyond the titles
- 31:41Speaker 2: and income and their definition of success.
- 31:44Speaker 3: Oh, what a good question.
- 31:46Speaker 4: Well, I am not very tech savvy. For a girl
- 31:48Speaker 4: who has a studio, I'm not very good at that.
- 31:51Speaker 4: I help I get people to help me set things up.
- 31:54Speaker 4: I don't try to understand an invention without knowing the inventor,
- 31:58Speaker 4: so I don't recommen and trying to understand creation without
- 32:02Speaker 4: understanding the Creator.
- 32:04Speaker 3: If I want to know.
- 32:04Speaker 4: What I'm here for, I'm going to pick up Rick
- 32:06Speaker 4: Warren's book, A Purpose Driven Life, and I'm going to
- 32:08Speaker 4: go through the forty day exercises to really understand why
- 32:12Speaker 4: did God make me? Because I believe without a shadow
- 32:16Speaker 4: of doubt that He did make you. If you're hearing this,
- 32:18Speaker 4: I believe that unless you're AI and you're listening to
- 32:21Speaker 4: a transcript or reading, and in that case, I don't
- 32:23Speaker 4: necessarily I think that God made an amazing person or
- 32:26Speaker 4: people who were smart enough to make you right. But
- 32:30Speaker 4: I'm just making a little joke, obviously, But my point
- 32:33Speaker 4: is that if you are on this journey, you've got
- 32:38Speaker 4: to go to the one who made you. A lot
- 32:40Speaker 4: of people have had bad experiences with church hurt. I'm
- 32:44Speaker 4: one of these people. I talk about that a little
- 32:45Speaker 4: bit in my book. Actually, I don't like to bleed
- 32:48Speaker 4: on people. I don't like to, like, say, trauma for
- 32:50Speaker 4: no reason. I only like to utilize it as a
- 32:52Speaker 4: means to help people say I see them and get it,
- 32:55Speaker 4: and I feel that. So, you know, one of the
- 32:58Speaker 4: most abusive people in my life was a pastor, so
- 33:01Speaker 4: I definitely understand church hurt.
- 33:05Speaker 3: Church hurt is not God.
- 33:07Speaker 4: God was hurt Jesus, yeshoe of Jesus, who died on
- 33:10Speaker 4: a cross for our sins.
- 33:12Speaker 3: It faced the biggest church hurt of all.
- 33:14Speaker 4: He was put on a cross by his own choice
- 33:18Speaker 4: by a bunch of religious leaders who thought they were
- 33:22Speaker 4: acting on behalf of God, which Jesus is. So we
- 33:27Speaker 4: really have to take a moment. I think sometimes when
- 33:30Speaker 4: we allow old words and thoughts and belief systems to
- 33:35Speaker 4: keep us stuck, we need to challenge them.
- 33:38Speaker 3: I say.
- 33:38Speaker 4: The easiest way to challenge them is I drive a
- 33:42Speaker 4: lot with my family between La and Vegas, and on
- 33:45Speaker 4: the way there's a place called Eddie's World, and it's
- 33:47Speaker 4: my five year old son's favorite place.
- 33:49Speaker 3: You know, It's like I'm.
- 33:50Speaker 4: Dodging the candy lanes, trying to sell him a toy
- 33:52Speaker 4: that he doesn't need or want so that he can
- 33:54Speaker 4: just avoid the sugar and the red dyes and all
- 33:57Speaker 4: the things that my husband's.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Like, look, I got a whole bag of treats.
- 34:00Speaker 4: I'm like, boy, I've been working and trying to black No,
- 34:02Speaker 4: look over here, look over there, look at you know,
- 34:05Speaker 4: inside the store they had this little aerial with all
- 34:07Speaker 4: these toys. And there's a game that many of us
- 34:10Speaker 4: probably know from growing up called Hangman. Every time you
- 34:13Speaker 4: get a name wrong, you draw a body member. Have
- 34:17Speaker 4: any of us thought that maybe we should challenge that game?
- 34:20Speaker 4: It's still being sold today. Has anyone really thought like,
- 34:24Speaker 4: is that the best visual that I want my child?
- 34:28Speaker 4: Who a picture is worth a thousand words? Getting a
- 34:31Speaker 4: picture and seeing and learning about this, is that what
- 34:33Speaker 4: I want?
- 34:34Speaker 3: I kidn't know.
- 34:34Speaker 4: It's not no offense to ever created that game, but
- 34:37Speaker 4: I would love to understand where we thought that was
- 34:39Speaker 4: a good idea.
- 34:40Speaker 3: This is my point.
- 34:42Speaker 4: People stay stuck in bad beliefs for a long time
- 34:45Speaker 4: because someone handed it to them. Someone told you, oh,
- 34:48Speaker 4: don't cry, so now you're saying it, and then said
- 34:50Speaker 4: to you and I'm sorry, Crying is actually good for
- 34:52Speaker 4: your body and for the release of emotions. So why
- 34:56Speaker 4: are we perpetuating things that don't work? I say that
- 34:59Speaker 4: because I believe there are a lot of old, dusty,
- 35:05Speaker 4: outdated beliefs around faith that get convoluted. Religion that has
- 35:10Speaker 4: definitely caused tremendous hurt in the world tremendous pain. But
- 35:15Speaker 4: I'm the girl who is not trying to get anybody
- 35:18Speaker 4: to get stuck in the law. I want you to
- 35:21Speaker 4: know the law and strive to live a holy, righteous,
- 35:24Speaker 4: beautiful life, because it goes well for you when you do.
- 35:27Speaker 4: But I'm the girl of grace. I'm like, let's find
- 35:29Speaker 4: the one who gave it all for you. And I
- 35:32Speaker 4: think that's really important because when we actually shift that
- 35:34Speaker 4: around and we're like, oh my goodness, there's actually something
- 35:38Speaker 4: holding me back from faith and it's not even my
- 35:40Speaker 4: own thought.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I love that. I love that. This has been amazing.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Guy too, Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness. Okay, so
- 35:53Speaker 2: last question of the day. When your story is finally written,
- 35:59Speaker 2: what do you hope people have to say about you
- 36:02Speaker 2: on how you lived, lived and loved.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Well.
- 36:08Speaker 4: I mean, the easiest one for me to say is
- 36:10Speaker 4: I just hope that I point people to the one
- 36:12Speaker 4: who loves them more than anything I really do, and
- 36:15Speaker 4: I hope that my imperfections don't hold them back from
- 36:20Speaker 4: knowing who He is. Because God loves to use really
- 36:23Speaker 4: broken vessels to share really beautiful, perfect stories, and He
- 36:27Speaker 4: is the perfector of our faith, of our lives.
- 36:30Speaker 3: Of our future. I want to lead with love and grace.
- 36:34Speaker 4: I want to be the girl who gets you unstuck
- 36:36Speaker 4: and helps you feel empowered and activated to be all
- 36:40Speaker 4: that you can be in this world. But I really
- 36:43Speaker 4: don't want when my time is up at this planet.
- 36:46Speaker 4: I don't want people to look at me and think, Wow,
- 36:49Speaker 4: she was so strong. I want them to say the
- 36:54Speaker 4: source of her joy, the source of her peace, the
- 36:58Speaker 4: reason that girl survived, the reason that girl kept kicking
- 37:02Speaker 4: against all odds, was because she was always hailed that.
- 37:07Speaker 3: I have had the goodness of God over my life.
- 37:10Speaker 4: All my life, through all the ups, all the downs,
- 37:13Speaker 4: all the trauma, drama and heartbreak, like he has healed
- 37:17Speaker 4: my heart because I asked him to. And I want
- 37:21Speaker 4: something from my story to help somebody have hope at least,
- 37:26Speaker 4: to just pray the most unbelievable prayer, which is God,
- 37:30Speaker 4: if you're real, please make it clear, because you don't
- 37:33Speaker 4: need to take my word for it. You need to
- 37:35Speaker 4: take your grandma's word for it. There's a reason why
- 37:37Speaker 4: people adamantly believe in God. Because we've seen something, we
- 37:42Speaker 4: know something, we feel something we cannot deny, and we
- 37:47Speaker 4: want that for as many people as we can. I
- 37:50Speaker 4: want that for the people who have abused me the most,
- 37:54Speaker 4: I genuinely do. I genuinely love them, pray for them,
- 37:57Speaker 4: forgive them, and want them to come to know the
- 38:00Speaker 4: love and grace of a father.
- 38:02Speaker 3: I want it for my best friend, I want it
- 38:04Speaker 3: for my family.
- 38:05Speaker 4: I just want people who are hurting to know that
- 38:09Speaker 4: you don't have to. You don't have to, and as
- 38:11Speaker 4: long as I have a mouth and heartbeats in my chest,
- 38:14Speaker 4: I will share that against all odds.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Absolutely, that was beautiful, Rachel. Thank you again for being here.
