- 0:00Speaker 1: You're waking up to Denver's Morning.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Show with Nina and Josh.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Mix 100.
- 0:05Speaker 3: There is a 90s heartthrob we haven't heard much from
- 0:09Speaker 3: over the years. You may recognize this name, Jonathan Taylor Thomas.
- 0:14Speaker 2: We love him.
- 0:15Speaker 1: JTT, baby.
- 0:16Speaker 2: JTT, hello.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Well, we haven't heard much from him, but yesterday he
- 0:22Speaker 3: made headlines after he was arrested for public intoxication.
- 0:27Speaker 2: And allegedly kicked a cop in the stomach.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Oh, dude.
- 0:31Speaker 2: This is not good.
- 0:32Speaker 3: And the crazy thing is, like, it wasn't a DUI situation.
- 0:36Speaker 1: That's good.
- 0:37Speaker 2: That is good. He was the passenger in a car. Okay? Yeah,
- 0:42Speaker 2: he could have stayed out of this whole thing.
- 0:44Speaker 1: He was that unruly?
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah, that's exactly what happened.
- 0:48Speaker 3: He was a passenger in this car that was in
- 0:50Speaker 3: the middle of an intersection that was blocking other cars.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I don't know if their car was having.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Some just mechanical issues or what, but the cops pulled
- 1:00Speaker 3: them over, and Jonathan Taylor Thomas was being very uncooperative.
- 1:04Speaker 2: They told him, like, stay in the car. Like, normally,
- 1:07Speaker 2: when they pull people over.
- 1:08Speaker 3: They have to check all the identification of everyone in
- 1:10Speaker 3: the car, which is fine. But he started getting unruly.
- 1:14Speaker 3: They told him, stay in the car. He said no.
- 1:16Speaker 2: He got out of the car, trying to talk to
- 1:18Speaker 2: the cops, probably.
- 1:20Speaker 3: But he was intoxicated, started getting a little out of hand.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Things got escalated. And he kicked a cop in the stomach, allegedly.
- 1:31Speaker 3: And after that, he was arrested.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 1: It's not funny.
- 1:36Speaker 4: This is not a funny situation, but I understand the
- 1:39Speaker 4: type of intoxicated that he was at where it's like.
- 1:41Speaker 2: He's like, no, no, no, I got this.
- 1:43Speaker 1: See, that's the thing. You get the overconfidence.
- 1:45Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 1:45Speaker 1: And you think you don't sound drunk.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I'm just going to talk to them really quick.
- 1:49Speaker 4: While everybody else around you thinks you're hammered. And you're like, no, no,
- 1:53Speaker 4: I promise.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I got this. I've changed a thousand tires in my life.
- 1:55Speaker 1: I've changed a thousand. It's fine.
- 1:56Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 1:57Speaker 4: And it's just, I know exactly what he's going through.
- 1:59Speaker 4: I'm like, I've never kicked a cop. Don't do that.
- 2:01Speaker 1: No, don't do that ever.
- 2:03Speaker 4: That's crossing a line there, buddy. But it's funny because
- 2:05Speaker 4: I'm like, I kind of know exactly where he was at.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 2:08Speaker 3: But I do think right now he's getting off a
- 2:10Speaker 3: little bit easy because the report is that he kicked
- 2:13Speaker 3: a cop in the stomach.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Afterwards, he was arrested.
- 2:16Speaker 3: But he's only being arrested for obstruction and public intoxication.
- 2:20Speaker 3: So it doesn't sound like they're charging him with that kick.
- 2:24Speaker 2: But I don't know. We'll, we'll find out. I'm sure
- 2:26Speaker 2: there'll be an update today.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Maybe they were big home improvement fans.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Maybe, maybe.
- 2:30Speaker 4: Well, Hey, Justin Bieber's in the news and he played
- 2:33Speaker 4: an impromptu little concert jam session in a park in LA.
- 2:37Speaker 4: It was called MacArthur park. And he just made a
- 2:39Speaker 4: surprise appearance earlier this week, setting up with a couple
- 2:42Speaker 4: of friends and the 32 year old performed a couple
- 2:45Speaker 4: of hits as well. Like let me love you, which
- 2:47Speaker 4: was the DJ snake hit along with a couple swag tracks,
- 2:50Speaker 4: Speed Demon, Yukon Daisies. I mean, Nina, can you imagine
- 2:54Speaker 4: just walking in a park and seeing, oh, is this
- 2:57Speaker 4: a new up-and-coming artist?
- 2:58Speaker 1: No, it's Justin freaking Bieber.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Justin Bieber!
- 3:01Speaker 1: Like, what?
- 3:02Speaker 4: So he played with a couple of musicians accompanying him
- 3:05Speaker 4: on guitar and a couple of percussion, things like that.
- 3:08Speaker 4: And then a small crowd of curious fans started popping up.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Of course. And he was really nice, and he even
- 3:12Speaker 4: looked on to a young boy and wished him happy
- 3:15Speaker 4: birthday as they found out that it was his birthday,
- 3:17Speaker 4: which was very cute.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw that.
- 3:18Speaker 4: This is another one of his kind of informal performances
- 3:21Speaker 4: that he's been doing. He's obviously not touring right now,
- 3:25Speaker 4: but the appearances that he's making, I know there's been
- 3:28Speaker 4: rumors swirling about possibly being the next Super Bowl artist.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Is he kind of gearing up and getting ready?
- 3:35Speaker 2: I hope so. Or maybe this is his audition for it.
- 3:39Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 3:39Speaker 3: Since the rumors started swirling and he's like, hey, look
- 3:42Speaker 3: what I can do. But yeah, he did Coachella this
- 3:45Speaker 3: past year, and then he performed for a little while
- 3:48Speaker 3: at the World Cup finals.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yes. And so Super Bowl could be next.
- 3:53Speaker 4: All I know is if he does do that, that's
- 3:56Speaker 4: going to be one of the biggest news stories in
- 3:58Speaker 4: the recent memory.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Has to be. Because he's just that type of artist.
- 4:01Speaker 4: I think only a couple artists have him or his
- 4:04Speaker 4: type of star power. It's like Taylor Swift and a
- 4:06Speaker 4: very select handful of artists that people would be like,
- 4:09Speaker 4: it's almost everybody collectively is like, okay.
- 4:11Speaker 1: That's awesome. We would love for him to be at
- 4:13Speaker 1: the Super Bowl.
- 4:13Speaker 2: We'd absolutely love to see it. So I hope it happens.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Hopefully it does. JB, come on.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Justin Bieber singing that song at the Super Bowl halftime show.
- 4:22Speaker 2: It could be pretty cool. So we'll see if that
- 4:25Speaker 2: actually happens, Josh.
- 4:26Speaker 1: That sounds so good.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I know.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Talk about just nostalgic for us. I mean, that was
- 4:30Speaker 4: like my child. My older sister was upset. That's all
- 4:33Speaker 4: I listened to for like four years because my sister
- 4:36Speaker 4: would play it on repeat.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Exactly. Any Bieber song. 100%.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Crazy.
- 4:39Speaker 3: And he would have to do Baby. if he did
- 4:42Speaker 3: the halftime show, right?
- 4:43Speaker 1: He's got to open with that. Like, I mean, or
- 4:45Speaker 1: close with it.
- 4:45Speaker 2: He's got to get it out of the way.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Even like a little portion of it in between some
- 4:49Speaker 3: songs somewhere, he would have to.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Do it a little bit. Listen, all artists, I know
- 4:54Speaker 1: y'all are listening to the show right now. I understand that.
- 4:56Speaker 4: I know y'all are sick of your massive hits because
- 4:59Speaker 4: you have had to listen to them and sing them
- 5:01Speaker 4: over and over and over.
- 5:02Speaker 1: But that is what made you famous. That's why we
- 5:05Speaker 1: love you.
- 5:05Speaker 4: It's What Garth Brooks said the other day when he
- 5:08Speaker 4: was in Denver, he goes, we're going to play the
- 5:10Speaker 4: smash hits, okay? Yeah.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I don't care that you sang them 80,000 times.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Right.
- 5:13Speaker 1: This is my first time hearing it live.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I want to hear it live.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I'm not sick of it. I want it.
- 5:18Speaker 1: No, that's what I'm saying. So, sorry, Biebs. If you
- 5:21Speaker 1: are the Super Bowl halftime performance, please play the hits. Please.
- 5:24Speaker 1: It's what made you famous, big guy. Come on now.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yes, exactly.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Good morning from Denver's Morning Show with Nina and Josh.
- 5:30Speaker 3: We are live on YouTube right now. Go follow and
- 5:33Speaker 3: subscribe at Mix 100 Denver.
- 5:35Speaker 2: It is brought to you by Safeway.

- 5:44Speaker 3: So today, Josh, coincidentally, we are both going to the
- 5:48Speaker 3: Rockies game. This wasn't necessarily like super planned out like, hey,
- 5:52Speaker 3: we should do this. But we are going to both
- 5:54Speaker 3: be at the Rockies game today, and it's the last
- 5:58Speaker 3: Rockies home game of the season.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Finally. I mean, no, no, no.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Oh, we're so bummed.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Oh, no, yeah.
- 6:02Speaker 4: No, it's, yeah, it was a long one. It's the
- 6:04Speaker 4: final home game of the season, and I love Rockies games.
- 6:07Speaker 4: I guess I love pain.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I don't know. I just love going to them. Again,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I grew up playing baseball.
- 6:12Speaker 4: It's one of my favorite sports, so it's very unfortunate
- 6:14Speaker 4: that we are Rockies fans.
- 6:16Speaker 1: But, yeah, it was funny.
- 6:17Speaker 4: We are lucky enough to have a job that is
- 6:20Speaker 4: very involved in sports on the other side, you know?
- 6:22Speaker 3: Right.
- 6:23Speaker 4: And so every once in a while we are able
- 6:25Speaker 4: to get some tickets for one game or another. And
- 6:29Speaker 4: the other day I was like, I was asking, I
- 6:31Speaker 4: was like, hey, you know, last Rockies game coming up.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Can we grab some tickets? And all of a sudden
- 6:36Speaker 4: I was awarded like a bunch of Rockies tickets.
- 6:38Speaker 2: All the tickets that we had.
- 6:40Speaker 1: All of them to today's game. I didn't ask for that.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I just want to say I did not ask for that.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Meanwhile, I was also like, hey, I would love to
- 6:47Speaker 3: go to this Rockies game.
- 6:48Speaker 2: You know, new schedule. It's in the middle of the day.
- 6:51Speaker 2: I can bring my unemployed friend. And I would love
- 6:55Speaker 2: to go. You're such a good person. I know, right?
- 6:56Speaker 2: And I would love to go.
- 6:57Speaker 3: So then I was asking for tickets, and they were like, oh,
- 7:00Speaker 3: we gave them all to Josh.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I know.
- 7:03Speaker 2: And I was like, ugh. Excuse me?
- 7:05Speaker 1: Making me look really bad.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Josh, you're taking all the tickets?
- 7:08Speaker 1: Why?
- 7:09Speaker 4: I did not ask for that. But then also, so
- 7:11Speaker 4: I was given six tickets. They had six tickets for
- 7:14Speaker 4: today's game. And the funny thing is, like, the second
- 7:16Speaker 4: I got that, again, I asked for a pair. And
- 7:18Speaker 4: then I get six delivered to me. And I was like,
- 7:20Speaker 4: do I have six friends?
- 7:22Speaker 1: Who do I ask? That's a lot of pressure here.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Hold on.
- 7:25Speaker 4: Let me think about this for a second. And luckily,
- 7:27Speaker 4: thank God, I was able to get four friends or
- 7:30Speaker 4: three friends to go.
- 7:31Speaker 1: And then you asked for the other two. And I
- 7:32Speaker 1: was like, yes, please take them.
- 7:33Speaker 4: I don't have enough friends, so please absolutely take them
- 7:35Speaker 4: because I could not fill that up.
- 7:37Speaker 1: So, yes.
- 7:38Speaker 3: So we are going to the final Rockies home game today.
- 7:41Speaker 2: That'll be fun. The game's at 1.15 today?
- 7:44Speaker 1: 1.10?
- 7:44Speaker 4: 1.10?
- 7:44Speaker 1: 1.15, whatever. Just about. 1 o'clock, okay?
- 7:46Speaker 4: First pitch is around 1 o'clock. You actually said something
- 7:48Speaker 4: funny that I did want to bring up off the air.
- 7:50Speaker 4: You have not been to a Rockies game this season?
- 7:52Speaker 2: No!
- 7:53Speaker 1: This is going to be my first one this season. Okay,
- 7:55Speaker 1: that's okay. That's all right. I feel so bad.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Nina, you didn't miss much, which is fine. That's all good.
- 8:00Speaker 4: But you said something that I want to bring up here.
- 8:02Speaker 4: You want to try their massive hot.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Dog, right? Yeah, the Glizilla. What makes you want to
- 8:09Speaker 1: try it? That's so much meat.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Okay, I know it is.
- 8:11Speaker 1: In your mouth. It's a lot. It is, it is.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Well, first of all, at that time, it is going
- 8:16Speaker 3: to be lunchtime, beyond lunchtime for me, and I'm going
- 8:18Speaker 3: to be starving. And knowing that I'm going to be
- 8:21Speaker 3: going to this Rockies game, I haven't been to one
- 8:23Speaker 3: yet this summer. I was texting my friend who's going
- 8:25Speaker 3: to come with me today. And she's like, I just
- 8:27Speaker 3: want a hot dog and a beer. And I was like, girl, same.
- 8:30Speaker 3: That's what I want, too. But I was thinking, like, listen,
- 8:34Speaker 3: if she wants a hot dog and.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I want a hot dog, that's like, what, $ 20 each?
- 8:37Speaker 2: Isn't the Glizilla? It's like $ 40, $ 40?
- 8:39Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, you're actually kind of spot on there.
- 8:42Speaker 4: If you want a hot dog and a beer, you're
- 8:44Speaker 4: going to be spending about that much each anyway. Right.
- 8:46Speaker 2: So I'm like, we might as well get the giant one.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Split that mother down the middle. Yeah. Call it good.
- 8:51Speaker 1: All right. Okay. That actually makes sense. I thought you
- 8:53Speaker 1: wanted to keep this to yourself. And I was like, nah, Nina.
- 8:56Speaker 2: No, no.
- 8:57Speaker 1: That's a lot of food.
- 8:57Speaker 2: That's way too much. Absolutely not.
- 9:00Speaker 3: That's not happening. But yeah, we're going to be at
- 9:02Speaker 3: the Rockies game today. I am going to be. Eating
- 9:05Speaker 3: a glizilla.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I was going to say something else.
- 9:07Speaker 1: And I'll be filming.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I'm going to be keeping it at that. Yep, yep, yep.
- 9:10Speaker 1: All of that. All of that.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 9:13Speaker 3: the office today, including Aurora residents are pretty upset after
- 9:17Speaker 3: learning this huge AI data center is being built for
- 9:21Speaker 3: right in their neighborhood, but no one was notified about it.
- 9:25Speaker 3: This is over in Green Valley Ranch, and they say
- 9:28Speaker 3: that they were totally kept in the dark about what
- 9:30Speaker 3: will become Colorado's largest data center yet. Yeah.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Yeah that's bad.
- 9:38Speaker 4: It is and also how do you keep people in
- 9:40Speaker 4: the dark about that they're gonna find out.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Eventually exactly and that's the thing is we've come to
- 9:45Speaker 3: that eventually point and uh the residents they're they're pissed
- 9:49Speaker 3: they're mad.
- 9:49Speaker 4: That sucks too because green valley ranch is one of
- 9:51Speaker 4: my favorite golf courses over there too it's a beautiful
- 9:54Speaker 4: layout i love it i don't need a data center
- 9:56Speaker 4: right next to it breathing down our neck.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Right no exactly so this is gonna be a 48th
- 10:00Speaker 3: Avenue and E-470 in Aurora. It's 900,000 square feet for
- 10:07Speaker 3: this data center.
- 10:07Speaker 2: That's ridiculous.
- 10:09Speaker 3: I looked at the map and the projected site plans
- 10:12Speaker 3: or whatever. It's literally the size of someone's neighborhood. It's
- 10:16Speaker 3: a huge, like... Huge city block.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I hate that.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's insane.
- 10:21Speaker 3: And so residents say they were never given a chance
- 10:24Speaker 3: to weigh in on the project.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Say no, maybe. Exactly.
- 10:28Speaker 3: So the plans are not technically finalized for this data center.
- 10:32Speaker 2: So now that everyone knows about it.
- 10:35Speaker 3: They are really, really hoping that they can get a say.
- 10:38Speaker 1: As they should.
- 10:39Speaker 2: As they should and should have from the beginning.
- 10:41Speaker 3: But at the same time, I'm a little concerned that
- 10:43Speaker 3: it's pretty deep into the plans at this point.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:47Speaker 3: And there's probably all sorts of money already funded into it.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Oh, I'm sure.
- 10:51Speaker 3: And I just don't know that they're going to be
- 10:53Speaker 3: able to stop it at this point, which sucks.
- 10:55Speaker 2: That sucks.
- 10:56Speaker 4: There's got to be some other thing that they can do,
- 10:58Speaker 4: like cut housing costs there or something to kind of
- 11:00Speaker 4: offset it a little bit.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:02Speaker 4: But still, I mean, even if you're cutting housing costs,
- 11:04Speaker 4: who cares? That's still, you don't want to live next.
- 11:06Speaker 1: That's the whole thing. You don't want to live next
- 11:07Speaker 1: to a data center.
- 11:08Speaker 3: And like there's so many new houses still being built
- 11:11Speaker 3: in Green Valley Ranch that one of the residents said,
- 11:13Speaker 3: I haven't even moved in yet.
- 11:14Speaker 2: We just bought a house. I haven't even made my
- 11:16Speaker 2: first house payment.
- 11:17Speaker 3: And now I'm finding out I'm going to live next
- 11:19Speaker 3: to a freaking AI data center.
- 11:21Speaker 4: No.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I would be. Yeah. So upset about that.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Yeah. So I'm with you, Aurora residents.
- 11:28Speaker 3: I mean, just do what you got to do over
- 11:31Speaker 3: there in Green Valley Ranch and just make some noise
- 11:33Speaker 3: about it because that is so unfair.
- 11:36Speaker 2: And I feel your pain.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Yeah, that's ridiculous. Well, let's make some people's day. I
- 11:39Speaker 4: didn't know about this, but this is awesome. What Dunkin
- 11:42Speaker 4: Donuts is doing today. Duncan is giving.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Away 1 million free.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Hot, ice, or cold brew coffees today, September 24th, 2026,
- 11:52Speaker 4: to the first 1 million customers and their rewards members
- 11:56Speaker 4: who enter a special promo code. So this is how
- 11:58Speaker 4: you do it. The promo code is dropping around 10 a.m.
- 12:03Speaker 4: our time today. on Duncan's Instagram and other official social
- 12:07Speaker 4: media channels, okay?
- 12:07Speaker 1: Okay. Keep in track. So the promo code at 10 a.m. today.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Once you find that, open your Duncan app, go to
- 12:13Speaker 4: the offers and rewards section, and enter that code as
- 12:16Speaker 4: soon as possible, okay? This is because it is only limited,
- 12:20Speaker 4: and I know I say only, but it is only
- 12:22Speaker 4: limited to the first 1 million customers who claim that reward,
- 12:26Speaker 4: and then that reward can be redeemed all weekend. So
- 12:28Speaker 4: you don't have to buy it today. Okay.
- 12:29Speaker 1: But they're dropping it today right around 10 a.m. And
- 12:32Speaker 1: I love this. They're just randomly dropping a promo code
- 12:35Speaker 1: for one million people.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:37Speaker 3: It's not like a special national iced coffee day or
- 12:39Speaker 3: anything like that.
- 12:40Speaker 2: They're just like, hey, have a coffee on us.
- 12:43Speaker 4: They just wanted to do that. And I like how
- 12:44Speaker 4: they give you options. You can get the hot iced
- 12:46Speaker 4: or cold brew coffees there. And I like Dunkin'. I
- 12:49Speaker 4: love Dunkin' Coffee, actually. That's one of the few I
- 12:51Speaker 4: do like. That's just a nice little thing to brighten
- 12:54Speaker 4: up your Thursday, right?
- 12:55Speaker 2: Totally. I think it's cool.
- 12:57Speaker 3: So go check that out. I feel like they're taking
- 12:58Speaker 3: from radio there with the contesting rules. Find it on
- 13:01Speaker 3: our social media and then go.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Over to our app.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I was reading that and I was like, how many
- 13:05Speaker 1: times have we said this? Hold on, wait a second.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Is this a radio contest?
- 13:08Speaker 1: This is exactly what I've said a thousand times. I
- 13:10Speaker 1: love it. So yeah, shout out to you, Duncan. Thanks
- 13:11Speaker 1: for doing that.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Love it.
- 13:13Speaker 3: And prime leaf peeping is this week. Leaf peeping season,
- 13:17Speaker 3: it's not going to last much longer after this. So
- 13:19Speaker 3: if you're trying to go see some beautiful golden leaves,
- 13:23Speaker 3: head over to Georgetown this weekend.
- 13:25Speaker 2: That's where it's going to be really primo.
- 13:27Speaker 3: This weekend but afterwards then it'll kind of move down
- 13:30Speaker 3: to idaho springs and golden eventually a little bit in
- 13:33Speaker 3: denver and next thing you know it is gone so
- 13:36Speaker 3: we're coming up on it so if you've been thinking
- 13:39Speaker 3: about taking the family out for some leaf peeping or
- 13:41Speaker 3: some photos or stuff like that this weekend is your
- 13:44Speaker 3: weekend to do it don't wait much longer after this i.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Think i'm going tomorrow and i'm terrified because i just
- 13:52Speaker 4: think the traffic is going to be abhorrent Yeah. I'm
- 13:55Speaker 4: really hoping it's not, but, yeah, my family wants to go.
- 14:01Speaker 4: I haven't gone in a few, and it's so funny,
- 14:02Speaker 4: I haven't gone in a few years just because, like,
- 14:04Speaker 4: I know I've said it a thousand times, I am colorblind.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Leaf peeping to me is just not the same.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Oh, you can't see yellows either?
- 14:10Speaker 1: I mean, I can, but it's all blended together.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Everyone's like, look at the oranges, and the sun is
- 14:14Speaker 4: still green, and the yellows, and I'm like, okay, I
- 14:18Speaker 4: see leaves.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Like, that's pretty cool.
- 14:19Speaker 2: It all looks brown.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Yeah, so for me, I'm like, no. But I'm sure
- 14:23Speaker 4: they're awesome, and I'm sure the pictures look great.
- 14:25Speaker 1: It is. I think we're going to go this weekend.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Good bonding with the family, too.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Yes, we love yelling at each other in traffic.
- 14:32Speaker 1: It's fantastic.
- 14:33Speaker 3: All right, your celebrity quickie. So Dolly Parton, she cared
- 14:37Speaker 3: very much about her image. It was just part of
- 14:39Speaker 3: who she was, her persona, her stage presence, all of it.
- 14:42Speaker 3: And she never let anyone publicly see her without her
- 14:45Speaker 3: wigs and makeup. And when she was sadly on her deathbed,
- 14:50Speaker 3: which she kept private, she did not allow any friends
- 14:53Speaker 3: or family to be there except for her longtime wig maker.
- 14:59Speaker 2: That's so fitting. That's just so Dolly.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I love that so much.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Right? Her name is Cheryl Riddle, and that's because Dolly
- 15:07Speaker 3: wanted to be all made up and look good after
- 15:10Speaker 3: she passed because she just knew the day was coming.
- 15:13Speaker 2: And the reason behind it is sweet.
- 15:15Speaker 3: It's not just because she cared about her looks or
- 15:17Speaker 3: anything like that. It's because she didn't want anyone who
- 15:20Speaker 3: knew her, loved her, to remember her in a fragile,
- 15:23Speaker 3: dying state, not looking so great. She wanted everyone to
- 15:27Speaker 3: remember Dolly. who she was for the other half of
- 15:30Speaker 3: her life, you know?
- 15:31Speaker 1: That's amazing. I actually really like that reason.
- 15:33Speaker 2: I know.
- 15:34Speaker 3: It is a sweet reason, and it's so much more
- 15:37Speaker 3: than the superficial outside looks of things.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Well, yeah.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's because she actually genuinely cared about the people
- 15:44Speaker 3: that she knew and loved.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Well, and it's tough.
- 15:45Speaker 4: I mean, cancer is such a horrible, horrible thing, and
- 15:50Speaker 4: it's one of those things that, yeah, when you are,
- 15:52Speaker 4: you know, Kind of getting to those last days, you
- 15:55Speaker 4: tend to look much different than how people remember you.
- 15:57Speaker 1: So I totally get that. You want to remember or
- 15:59Speaker 1: be remembered kind of in your best look, right?
- 16:01Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 16:03Speaker 4: That's fantastic. Well, hey, tomorrow, September 25th, is going to
- 16:07Speaker 4: be a really neat day. I like this a lot.
- 16:09Speaker 4: It is going to be officially. recognizes dolly parton a
- 16:13Speaker 4: day and it is kind of uh paying honor to
- 16:16Speaker 4: her life and legacy and her iconic hit 925 get
- 16:20Speaker 4: it 925 925 there it is and it's going to
- 16:24Speaker 4: be recognized by different uh different states california has been
- 16:27Speaker 4: signed into recognition by governor gavin newsom there ohio has
- 16:31Speaker 4: also officially designated the date as well nashville proclaimed dolly
- 16:36Speaker 4: day new york New Orleans, many other places. And it's
- 16:40Speaker 4: just encouraging residents to remember her and also to wear pink, obviously.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Spread kindness. Listen to the song nine to five all
- 16:46Speaker 4: day long. I think that's really cool. Nashville is actually
- 16:49Speaker 4: wrapping up their day with fireworks, which is awesome.
- 16:52Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I love that as well.
- 16:54Speaker 4: And there's just a bunch of different ways to remember her,
- 16:56Speaker 4: and I think that's really cool. I think there's local
- 16:58Speaker 4: things going on as well here.
- 17:00Speaker 2: There are.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Dolly Day is being celebrated downtown at Governor's Park tomorrow.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Which I love.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Three to seven. It's free entry. Wear your pink. They
- 17:09Speaker 2: are going to have a Dolly lookalike contest.
- 17:13Speaker 1: No way.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I'm signing up. I'm doing it right now.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Get your basketball.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I love it. Yes. I love it.
- 17:20Speaker 4: It's have fun, and I think that's the way Dolly
- 17:22Speaker 4: would want to be remembered is, By people having fun
- 17:25Speaker 4: and wearing the wigs and dressing like her. That's how
- 17:28Speaker 4: you honor this icon. Not feel sad that she's gone.
- 17:31Speaker 4: You can feel sad, obviously, but she had a life
- 17:33Speaker 4: well lived.
- 17:33Speaker 2: She really did. So rest in peace, Dolly Parton. We
- 17:36Speaker 2: will celebrate you all day tomorrow.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Nine to five.
- 17:39Speaker 3: And California has gotten way too expensive, even for Hollywood.
- 17:43Speaker 3: So the Paramount deal is still in the works with
- 17:45Speaker 3: the studio threatening to move out of California. And now
- 17:49Speaker 3: the show America's Got Talent is thinking of making the move.
- 17:53Speaker 3: They're looking at options to film their next season in
- 17:55Speaker 3: Georgia or maybe Nashville.
- 17:57Speaker 2: And it's all because of money.
- 17:59Speaker 3: So other states are offering bigger production incentives and tax
- 18:03Speaker 3: credits that will save the show a lot of money.
- 18:07Speaker 3: And another show that's considering the same thing is The
- 18:10Speaker 3: Masked Singer. So these are both pretty big competition shows.
- 18:14Speaker 4: AGT has been around for forever. So that's massive. The
- 18:17Speaker 4: Masked Singer, obviously a huge hit as well.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Yeah. I get it, though.
- 18:20Speaker 4: I mean, these companies want to make money if they're
- 18:22Speaker 4: breaking even, essentially, because the taxes and just everything.
- 18:25Speaker 1: There costs too much. why wouldn't you move? Exactly. It
- 18:29Speaker 1: makes perfect sense.
- 18:30Speaker 3: It does. And so now local officials in California are
- 18:33Speaker 3: feeling the heat, getting some pressure to increase tax incentives
- 18:37Speaker 3: for these productions to stay in California, in LA, because
- 18:42Speaker 3: a lot of people are just thinking of moving out.
- 18:44Speaker 3: I mean, it's not just the general public because real
- 18:46Speaker 3: estate is too much.
- 18:48Speaker 2: It's even for these major, major production companies.
- 18:51Speaker 4: That have been there for forever. I mean, Paramount, first
- 18:54Speaker 4: of all, has been there for forever. So for that
- 18:56Speaker 4: to be thinking about going and these ones following suit.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it really says something for sure.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 19:03Speaker 3: the office today, including October 1st is one week away,
- 19:07Speaker 3: which is insane because September has just gone by in
- 19:11Speaker 3: a flash.
- 19:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 3: So once you get over the shock that October is
- 19:14Speaker 3: nearly here, let me remind you there is a new
- 19:17Speaker 3: set of water restrictions in Denver. That starts on October 1st, yeah.
- 19:23Speaker 3: So all lawn irrigation watering has to stop. If you
- 19:26Speaker 3: have sprinklers that just go off at a certain time
- 19:29Speaker 3: of the day, all of that needs to be shut
- 19:32Speaker 3: off and stopped by October 1st. They are serious about this.
- 19:36Speaker 3: They are saying they'll go around and they will issue tickets.
- 19:39Speaker 3: And we have neighbors turning in other neighbors earlier this
- 19:42Speaker 3: summer for over-watering or not watering on your days.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I know. And I'm like, I just always abide by
- 19:49Speaker 1: the rules.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Snitches get stitches I don't know why I really don't
- 19:52Speaker 4: know why like that was like the saying to say
- 19:55Speaker 4: in middle school yeah and I just don't snitch I
- 19:58Speaker 4: don't know I mean look whatever I understand we are
- 20:00Speaker 4: in a severe drought I'm not trying to like Make
- 20:03Speaker 4: light of that.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 20:04Speaker 1: But I just don't think I'd tattle. Would you?
- 20:05Speaker 2: I wouldn't tattle either.
- 20:07Speaker 3: But the thing that just really makes me so mad
- 20:11Speaker 3: about all of this is, and the last note before
- 20:13Speaker 3: you go, I talked about the largest AI data center
- 20:16Speaker 3: in Aurora is being built.
- 20:17Speaker 4: I know.
- 20:18Speaker 3: The largest one in Colorado is being built and neighbors
- 20:20Speaker 3: didn't even know about it.
- 20:21Speaker 2: But yeah, sure.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I guess restrict our water usage, but build another one.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Love that.
- 20:27Speaker 1: And I guarantee they're not restricting that water usage at all.
- 20:30Speaker 4: No.
- 20:30Speaker 2: No, there's no way they are.
- 20:32Speaker 1: That's the annoying thing. I don't love that.
- 20:34Speaker 3: It's very annoying. It's so irritating. I hate it, hate it,
- 20:37Speaker 3: hate it so much. And if we can continue to
- 20:41Speaker 3: speak out about it, I'm on team speak out about it.
- 20:43Speaker 1: You sound like the Grinch. Hate, hate, hate. Loathe entirely. Literally.
- 20:48Speaker 3: So yeah, reminder, October 1st, no more of those lawn
- 20:51Speaker 3: irrigation systems can be.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Going on at your house.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Yeah, that is wild.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Terrible.
- 20:56Speaker 1: And speaking of wild.
- 20:57Speaker 4: Colorado opened up a massive wildlife overpass over I-25, I
- 21:02Speaker 4: think it was like last December or something like that.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Do you remember that story? Yeah, yes.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Yeah, so it's already making a massive impact. And I
- 21:09Speaker 4: love this because we love our wildlife here. That is
- 21:11Speaker 4: a major staple of Colorado. So it's the largest wildlife
- 21:14Speaker 4: overpass that they opened up in North America, Nina. And
- 21:18Speaker 4: on top of that, cameras have already captured elk. pronghorns, bears, deer,
- 21:23Speaker 4: and coyotes, and many other animals, mammals, sure, already using it.
- 21:27Speaker 4: You're not going to see a whale crossing it. Before
- 21:29Speaker 4: the crossing was built, roughly one deer was struck by
- 21:32Speaker 4: a vehicle a day during their peak mating season, okay? Wow.
- 21:36Speaker 1: And their migration season as well.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Since then, since the overpass has been open, it has
- 21:40Speaker 4: cut down animal vehicle collisions by 91%. Wow, that's huge.
- 21:45Speaker 4: This is how massive it is. And I know they're
- 21:47Speaker 4: building one out in California as well. That one's been
- 21:49Speaker 4: under construction for like four years. I don't know what
- 21:51Speaker 4: they're doing over there. But because the Colorado one is open,
- 21:54Speaker 4: it's saving lives. I mean, it's not only saving animals' lives.
- 21:57Speaker 4: People that hit deer are more likely to try to swerve,
- 22:00Speaker 4: which could roll your car. It's saving human lives as well.
- 22:03Speaker 4: I think it's brilliant. Why didn't we think of this before?
- 22:06Speaker 2: Seriously.
- 22:07Speaker 4: And we were just like, hey, cross at your own life,
- 22:09Speaker 4: you know, depending on where you cross, when you cross,
- 22:12Speaker 4: things like that. Yeah.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Especially at night. That's when animals are kind of the
- 22:15Speaker 1: most active.
- 22:16Speaker 4: Yeah. And for your car to hit them, it causes
- 22:18Speaker 4: catastrophic damage to your car.
- 22:20Speaker 1: So bad.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Possibly kills the animal. So I think this is brilliant.
- 22:23Speaker 4: Good on you, Colorado, for doing this, and I think
- 22:25Speaker 4: we should build many more.
- 22:26Speaker 2: I love that it's working.
- 22:28Speaker 1: 91%. That's amazing. That's an A for all those people
- 22:31Speaker 1: out there.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 22:33Speaker 3: And up in Fort Collins, Anheuser-Busch is already out there.
- 22:38Speaker 3: We know that they have the big brewery out there,
- 22:40Speaker 3: but they are now investing $ 23 million into that brewery
- 22:45Speaker 3: to increase production and expand some training, which means More
- 22:49Speaker 3: jobs up there in Fort Collins.
- 22:50Speaker 1: We love that.
- 22:51Speaker 3: So this money is to expand the capacity to produce
- 22:54Speaker 3: Michelob Ultra as well, which is surprisingly becoming more popular,
- 22:59Speaker 3: as well as producing 25-ounce cans. So beer drinkers are
- 23:04Speaker 3: now— Huge.
- 23:05Speaker 2: I know. Those are the big boys, right?
- 23:06Speaker 1: Those are the tall boys.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:09Speaker 2: So 25-ounce cans are becoming more and more popular now.
- 23:12Speaker 3: And up at that brewery, part of this money will
- 23:14Speaker 3: be able to expand to be able to produce those
- 23:17Speaker 3: 25-ounce cans.
- 23:18Speaker 4: Well, that's really cool. We know we have New Belgium
- 23:20Speaker 4: and Odell up there. And I love those breweries. Those
- 23:22Speaker 4: are like Fort Collins staples. Me and my buddies would
- 23:25Speaker 4: always go up there. But adding Anheuser-Busch and also McUltras.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Have you ever had a McUltra?
- 23:29Speaker 1: Those things.
- 23:30Speaker 4: Are tasty so i'm all for this you can catch
- 23:33Speaker 4: me up in fort collins soon.
- 23:34Speaker 3: There you go so the entire case surrounding hayden panettiere
- 23:38Speaker 3: is just so so sad and last weekend there was
- 23:42Speaker 3: still a private but more public memorial held for her
- 23:46Speaker 3: friends in hollywood it was over in malibu paris hilton
- 23:50Speaker 3: was there a couple of her co-stars for nashville were
- 23:52Speaker 3: there And we now know possibly why Hayden's mother was
- 23:58Speaker 3: not invited to that memorial.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Her mom and dad are fighting right now.
- 24:03Speaker 3: And they're not just fighting because they are exes. They
- 24:07Speaker 3: are fighting over Hayden's jewelry. And that already sounds really bad.
- 24:12Speaker 2: But hold on.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Hold on.
- 24:13Speaker 3: I know it sounds bad and it is bad. But
- 24:16Speaker 3: it seems to be over one piece, not just jewelry
- 24:19Speaker 3: for money. So the piece that they are fighting over
- 24:22Speaker 3: right now are a pair of stud earrings that Hayden
- 24:25Speaker 3: was wearing when.
- 24:26Speaker 2: She passed away.
- 24:28Speaker 3: So these earrings were actually collected as evidence since they
- 24:32Speaker 3: were on her body. And so her parents, I mean,
- 24:37Speaker 3: they both want them, and they're arguing right now.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Okay, well, time out.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Nina, it's a pair. Each person gets one.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Yeah, you could do that. That's true.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Are they that selfish? Yes. I understand. You just figured
- 24:48Speaker 1: it out. Yeah, well, like, I'm not, duh. Like, I'm sorry.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Hello. Yeah.
- 24:53Speaker 2: No, I mean.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Why do you need both?
- 24:54Speaker 2: You're so right. You are so right. But they are
- 24:57Speaker 2: fighting over who gets the earrings.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Um, I, I understand why it would be special and someone,
- 25:03Speaker 3: a parent would want to keep that.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Obviously I get that. And it's not about money because
- 25:07Speaker 2: when you hear, oh, they're fighting over jewelry, they're like, oh.
- 25:10Speaker 1: They're going to pawn this in the next two days. Exactly.
- 25:12Speaker 2: No, no, no, no.
- 25:13Speaker 3: It doesn't seem like it's that it's more sentimental because
- 25:15Speaker 3: these are the earrings that she was wearing.
- 25:17Speaker 2: But Josh, you are so right. They could just split
- 25:20Speaker 2: the pair of earrings.
- 25:21Speaker 4: I mean, you don't, it's not like they're going to
- 25:23Speaker 4: be rocking them.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 25:24Speaker 4: Obviously you're not. Those are a very sentimental thing to own.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Just each get one.
- 25:29Speaker 2: No, you're so right. But police, they still have the evidence.
- 25:31Speaker 3: The earrings are in an evidence bag right now at
- 25:34Speaker 3: the police station because they can't decide who's going to
- 25:36Speaker 3: come and pick them up and keep them, et cetera.
- 25:38Speaker 3: So the fact that that is happening right now and
- 25:41Speaker 3: it got into the way of Hayden's mom going to.
- 25:44Speaker 2: A memorial kind of messed up, but that's their business.
- 25:47Speaker 4: So that's definitely an odd thing to not show up over.
- 25:51Speaker 4: And I understand like her parents do not get along
- 25:53Speaker 4: and I get that, but like, wouldn't you want to
- 25:56Speaker 4: show your support for your daughter who just recently passed
- 25:59Speaker 4: away and you're not going to go because of earrings?
- 26:02Speaker 2: I would think so.
- 26:02Speaker 3: And I don't know if that is the case. The
- 26:04Speaker 3: mom decided not to go. Or if she was not
- 26:07Speaker 3: invited because Hayden's dad set it up.
- 26:10Speaker 2: I'm not sure 100% on that story.
- 26:12Speaker 3: But yeah, the fact is, this is likely the reason
- 26:16Speaker 3: that got in between them that, yeah, a mom didn't
- 26:18Speaker 3: show up to the memorial.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Either way, kind of petty. You know what? I want
- 26:22Speaker 1: to talk about Ella Langley. She has been All the
- 26:25Speaker 1: rage lately. Everywhere.
- 26:26Speaker 4: I mean, people cannot stop talking about her. I'd even
- 26:28Speaker 4: say that I'm an Ella fella over here. She is
- 26:31Speaker 4: going to be in Colorado. She's coming to Red Rocks
- 26:33Speaker 4: October 7th. And Nina, you know this firsthand. Those tickets
- 26:36Speaker 4: are like $ 1, 000, right?
- 26:37Speaker 2: Are crazy.
- 26:38Speaker 3: My niece and my sister really want to go. And
- 26:40Speaker 3: I'm like, are you wanting to spend three grand? Because
- 26:43Speaker 3: that's what it's looking like.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Exactly. You're going to need to essentially take out a
- 26:46Speaker 4: second mortgage just to get these tickets.
- 26:48Speaker 1: And rightfully so.
- 26:49Speaker 4: I mean, she's earned this. She is a huge, massive star.
- 26:52Speaker 4: She just broke the record. For the longest single being
- 26:55Speaker 4: played with Choose in Texas for like 23 weeks now.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Beating Mariah Carey is crazy.
- 27:01Speaker 4: Unbelievable, first of all. So she's a massive star. She
- 27:04Speaker 4: will be coming to Red Rocks. But she just announced
- 27:06Speaker 4: that she is going to kind of be doing a
- 27:08Speaker 4: Garth Brooks thing here. She's going to be at the
- 27:11Speaker 4: Grizzly Rose the night before. And she is doing a performance. Now,
- 27:14Speaker 4: before you already start getting lined.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Up there, okay?
- 27:17Speaker 4: This is a contest only. You cannot buy these tickets online.
- 27:22Speaker 4: You have to go to the Grizzly Roses website right
- 27:24Speaker 4: now and sign up to try to win them. This
- 27:27Speaker 4: is a very intimate concert, very intimate setting with Ella
- 27:31Speaker 4: Langley playing some of her biggest hits there at the Rose,
- 27:33Speaker 4: which is unbelievably cool.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's just a smaller venue.
- 27:38Speaker 3: And like you said, the fact that these bigger stars
- 27:41Speaker 3: are going there is the coolest thing ever.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Well, I feel like it's almost unbelievable.
- 27:45Speaker 4: It's always like a stepping stones for artists that get massive.
- 27:48Speaker 4: And I think she just had this meteoric rise where she,
- 27:52Speaker 4: she rose to stardom so quickly that maybe she didn't
- 27:55Speaker 4: get to do some of these smaller venues that are
- 27:58Speaker 4: a major stepping stone to getting to where you want
- 28:01Speaker 4: to be. So maybe that's also why she wants to
- 28:02Speaker 4: do it. The grizzly rose is iconic. I mean, first
- 28:05Speaker 4: of all, it's held many, many stars. So maybe that's
- 28:07Speaker 4: also why she wants to do it. But the fact
- 28:08Speaker 4: she's doing a show here a couple of weeks after
- 28:11Speaker 4: Garth Brooks just did.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:12Speaker 1: I mean, I think that's really, really neat.
- 28:14Speaker 4: So, If you want to go to thegrizzlyrose.com to sign
- 28:18Speaker 4: up for that, again, you cannot buy these tickets.
- 28:20Speaker 1: So unfortunately, you can't pay to get them.
- 28:22Speaker 4: But you could get really lucky here and try to
- 28:25Speaker 4: win those tickets, which would be really neat.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I like that.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Good for the Grizzly Rose doing this with all these
- 28:30Speaker 3: huge artists. And I like that they are switching it
- 28:32Speaker 3: up because as cool as it was for Garth Brooks
- 28:35Speaker 3: to go, you have to line up early, only a
- 28:38Speaker 3: certain amount of people.
- 28:39Speaker 2: $ 25 tickets is great.
- 28:41Speaker 3: But also, the fact that they are switching it up
- 28:43Speaker 3: with a contest like this for Ella Langley, pretty cool.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Maybe they learned. Maybe they learned, yeah.
- 28:47Speaker 4: That the people, you know, suffering from heat exhaustion, yeah.
- 28:50Speaker 4: No more lining up, just try to sign up to win.
- 28:52Speaker 2: We need to, yeah, we need to do something different.
- 28:53Speaker 1: There we go.
- 28:54Speaker 2: And Tyra Banks is spiraling.
- 28:56Speaker 3: She was trying to get her hands on the unedited
- 28:58Speaker 3: interview footage for America's Next Top Model documentary that came
- 29:02Speaker 3: out on Netflix this year.
- 29:03Speaker 2: And now we.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Know it is because she wants to sue Netflix for
- 29:07Speaker 3: defamation because of how they edited the interviews. Netflix fought back.
- 29:12Speaker 3: They said, no, you're not getting that. It has nothing
- 29:14Speaker 3: to do with you. And now that Tyra cannot have
- 29:17Speaker 3: that footage, she's making her own edits to prove her
- 29:21Speaker 3: case online, only able to use the footage that was
- 29:24Speaker 3: published in the documentary.
- 29:26Speaker 2: She is showing screenshots of.
- 29:28Speaker 3: The slightest differences in her facial expressions to show that
- 29:32Speaker 3: there are cuts and edits were made and they made
- 29:35Speaker 3: me look bad. But Tyra, that's what producers on a
- 29:39Speaker 3: show do.
- 29:40Speaker 2: They edit things.
- 29:42Speaker 4: And that's also like... You made yourself look bad through
- 29:46Speaker 4: the years and years and years of you kind of
- 29:49Speaker 4: being who you were.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Yeah, before any of this.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Before all of.
- 29:52Speaker 4: This came out, people kind of knew the name you
- 29:55Speaker 4: made for yourself a little bit. I don't know why
- 29:57Speaker 4: you're trying so hard now to save face.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it is weird.
- 30:02Speaker 3: And the fact that she is not only trying now,
- 30:04Speaker 3: but she is stretching at this point.
- 30:07Speaker 1: I know, I know.
- 30:07Speaker 2: And it really looks desperate.
- 30:08Speaker 1: It's not a good look.
- 30:09Speaker 4: No.
- 30:09Speaker 1: It's not a good look for you.
- 30:10Speaker 4: And when you do this, I mean, sometimes you just
- 30:12Speaker 4: got to kind of take it on the nose and then.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Let it pass.
- 30:15Speaker 4: When you do this, you almost make it worse for
- 30:17Speaker 4: yourself by drawing more attention to yourself.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Yup. You said it best, Josh. That's it right there.
- 30:23Speaker 3: And reminder, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk returns
- 30:27Speaker 3: October 11th. We want you to help us out. Go
- 30:30Speaker 3: to Mix100. com. You can sign up your own team for
- 30:34Speaker 3: the American Cancer Society's Making Strides of Colorado.
- 30:37Speaker 2: You can donate to another team.
- 30:39Speaker 3: And Josh and I have been talking about the past
- 30:40Speaker 3: two weeks creating a team for ourselves. We asked for
- 30:43Speaker 3: your help yesterday on some team names, and a lot
- 30:47Speaker 3: of good stuff was thrown at us.
- 30:48Speaker 4: Yeah, you guys didn't disappoint. You really helped us out
- 30:50Speaker 4: with these names. We had a bunch that were like, okay,
- 30:53Speaker 4: we cannot use that one. That one's too dirty, too naughty.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Which is funny. They were funny. Thank you. But we
- 30:59Speaker 1: couldn't do that in public. Right.
- 31:01Speaker 3: So I think we are going to keep our team
- 31:03Speaker 3: name to the Mix Mamories. I'm going to have to
- 31:05Speaker 3: Google how to spell Mamories, but that's fine.
- 31:07Speaker 4: I know.
- 31:08Speaker 3: And on top of that, though, Tanisha had texted in
- 31:12Speaker 3: yesterday and she gave us a great slogan for our team,
- 31:15Speaker 3: which I think needs to go on the back of
- 31:17Speaker 3: some T-shirts.
- 31:18Speaker 2: It says, talks for the ha-has and walks for the ta-tas,
- 31:21Speaker 2: which I love.
- 31:22Speaker 1: That's so good.
- 31:23Speaker 4: We're going to have the mixed memories on the front
- 31:25Speaker 4: and then talks and walks on the back. I think
- 31:27Speaker 4: it's going to be so great. And again, Nina, it's
- 31:29Speaker 4: all for a fantastic cause. It could not be a
- 31:31Speaker 4: better cause.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 31:33Speaker 3: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Breast Cancer
- 31:37Speaker 3: Awareness Walk happens next month, October 11th.
- 31:41Speaker 2: For making strides, go get all the info right now
- 31:43Speaker 2: at Mix100. com. Three things you need to know before you
- 31:46Speaker 2: go into the office.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Like the scam generation that we have to worry about
- 31:51Speaker 3: are not the boomers, Josh. This shocked me to my
- 31:55Speaker 3: core because to all of our surprise, it's Gen Z.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Why are we falling for this?
- 32:01Speaker 2: This is crazy. So they're saying that consumers aged 14
- 32:04Speaker 2: to 29, a.k.a. Gen Z.
- 32:07Speaker 3: They have surpassed baby boomers to the level of scamming.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Gen Z are more than twice as likely to have
- 32:14Speaker 3: their identity stolen, experience a hack on their social media accounts,
- 32:20Speaker 3: or have their whole device breached, laptop, phone, any of it,
- 32:23Speaker 3: than baby boomers.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Well, and look, the scammers have gotten better too. It's
- 32:28Speaker 4: not the Arabian Prince anymore that needs a million dollars
- 32:31Speaker 4: and you'll get a million back. It's nothing like that anymore.
- 32:33Speaker 4: It's It's a lot more complex things like these text messages.
- 32:37Speaker 4: Do you get those scam texts all the time?
- 32:39Speaker 3: Josh, I got one yesterday that I was like, do
- 32:43Speaker 3: I need to report this to the police? Like it
- 32:45Speaker 3: was weird because the one that I got yesterday, it
- 32:48Speaker 3: was a text message came to my phone.
- 32:50Speaker 2: It was pretending to be a local number.
- 32:51Speaker 3: They do that too, where they can get local numbers
- 32:54Speaker 3: to scam you. And I got this text message that
- 32:57Speaker 3: was like, We had our baby, welcome baby whoever, and
- 33:01Speaker 3: it had a photo of a baby.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Okay, that's weird.
- 33:05Speaker 2: And the photo looks like a real photo. Who knows
- 33:07Speaker 2: if it was AI or whatever.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 33:09Speaker 3: But they're trying to get more personal to draw you
- 33:13Speaker 3: in like the one that I received. Like, oh, welcome
- 33:15Speaker 3: the new baby, blah, blah, blah. And they just want
- 33:18Speaker 3: you to text back, like, who is this?
- 33:20Speaker 2: Do I know you? Wrong number. Anything like that. Do
- 33:22Speaker 2: not text back. Because that's how they get you.
- 33:25Speaker 4: Well, and there's also things even that if you just
- 33:28Speaker 4: reply in a call. So there's spam calls all the time.
- 33:31Speaker 4: And if you reply, like, they'll say, hey, you know,
- 33:34Speaker 4: is this Nina or is this Josh, whatever. And all
- 33:36Speaker 4: you have to do is say yes. And then they
- 33:37Speaker 4: have that recorded. to where they can get you to
- 33:40Speaker 4: say yes to a billion other things without you even
- 33:42Speaker 4: being on the phone.
- 33:43Speaker 1: It's terrifying, honestly, how smart they are with this stuff.
- 33:46Speaker 2: It is crazy.
- 33:48Speaker 3: So, yes, not only are the scammers just getting better
- 33:52Speaker 3: and better at what they're doing, but, yeah, it surprised
- 33:55Speaker 3: me that Gen Z is at the top of which
- 33:58Speaker 3: generation is getting scammed the most right now.
- 34:00Speaker 1: You'd think they'd be smarter about it. You would think so.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Come on, guys.
- 34:02Speaker 1: They're the ones that have made fun of us for
- 34:04Speaker 1: years and years now, right?
- 34:06Speaker 2: Look at you now.
- 34:06Speaker 4: Well, this has been a really cool thing for... this
- 34:09Speaker 4: entire year. NBC does an annual adopt-a-thon, and it goes
- 34:14Speaker 4: through July to the beginning of September, okay? And what
- 34:18Speaker 4: they did this year is unbelievable for our little four-legged
- 34:22Speaker 4: friends here. They had 135,000 dogs, cats, and more pets
- 34:28Speaker 4: taken home from shelters in those two months. So as
- 34:32Speaker 4: I said, it runs from July to September. They also
- 34:35Speaker 4: raised in that time over $ 480, 000 in for 1,000 animal
- 34:40Speaker 4: shelters participating in this adopt-a-thon. And in the 12 years
- 34:43Speaker 4: that they've done this, they have been able to have 1.5
- 34:48Speaker 4: million pets adopted into new homes and over $ 6 million
- 34:52Speaker 4: raised in that time.
- 34:53Speaker 1: We love our fur babies, okay? We call them our
- 34:56Speaker 1: fur babies for a reason. You have two dogs.
- 34:59Speaker 4: I have had dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, horses, guinea pigs,
- 35:04Speaker 4: everything you can have in your life.
- 35:06Speaker 1: I love, love, love animals.
- 35:08Speaker 4: And to have them go adopted to good homes is
- 35:11Speaker 4: a really, really good story.
- 35:13Speaker 1: I absolutely love it.
- 35:14Speaker 2: It's important. So I love that you shared that. Thank you.
- 35:17Speaker 4: Well, yeah, and it's one of those things that you
- 35:19Speaker 4: always have a good heart. You see these animals and
- 35:22Speaker 4: you're like, oh, I want to help them. But to
- 35:23Speaker 4: actually come through. And help over 100,000 animals this year.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:28Speaker 1: That's really neat. I like that.
- 35:28Speaker 2: It's really cool. Pat on the shoulder.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Good job.
- 35:31Speaker 2: If you are dating and you're wanting.
- 35:34Speaker 3: To date a particular girl that has caught your eye,
- 35:37Speaker 3: they say get close to her father.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Really close.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Because a new study found that women tend to date men.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Oh, my skin is crawling.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Women tend to date men who smell like their fathers.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Okay, so hold on.
- 35:52Speaker 4: It sounds weird at first, but there's also a thing
- 35:55Speaker 4: that I read, and it sounded so weird when I
- 35:57Speaker 4: first read it, that men, like boys... the first initial
- 36:01Speaker 4: attraction they have is to their mother.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:03Speaker 4: And so they tend to date women that remind them
- 36:05Speaker 4: of their mom, which it sounds so weird.
- 36:08Speaker 1: It's not like a sexual attraction. No, it's not.
- 36:10Speaker 2: It's not. And I get that.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:12Speaker 3: I get that. I've heard that before. It's like, oh,
- 36:15Speaker 3: you're dating your parents type of thing.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 36:17Speaker 2: I've heard that. I get that. But I don't know.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Just to like smell like your father.
- 36:22Speaker 1: That's interesting. That's crazy. gross to me that's a little weird.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Let me just say I have never been happier in
- 36:28Speaker 3: my life to not know my real dad and what
- 36:30Speaker 3: he smells like because like you want to sit here
- 36:34Speaker 3: and tell me I got daddy issues because I don't
- 36:36Speaker 3: know my real dad no I think needing to date
- 36:39Speaker 3: someone who smells like your father that's daddy issues Good
- 36:45Speaker 3: morning from Denver's Morning Show on Mix 100. Josh, we
- 36:49Speaker 3: have to just wrap this whole saga up now with
- 36:52Speaker 3: the vet visits that I've had with my dogs recently.
- 36:55Speaker 3: On Monday, I took both my dogs to the vet.
- 36:58Speaker 3: They were just due for their vaccines. And I have
- 37:01Speaker 3: the two dogs, Bowie and Bonzo. And I posted this
- 37:03Speaker 3: story yesterday up on our socials. So you can catch
- 37:05Speaker 3: the whole thing at Mix 100 Denver on Instagram. And
- 37:09Speaker 3: it's on Facebook as well. But The vet visit didn't
- 37:11Speaker 3: go great for.
- 37:13Speaker 2: One of my dogs, Bonzo.
- 37:14Speaker 3: He gets really nervous, really anxious, and they went to
- 37:17Speaker 3: go give him his vaccinations, and he got too anxious,
- 37:21Speaker 3: and he pooped all over the floor. And they were
- 37:23Speaker 3: not able to give him the shots that he needed,
- 37:26Speaker 3: and so we rescheduled for yesterday.
- 37:29Speaker 1: As you should, yeah.
- 37:31Speaker 3: To try to get that done again, and then they
- 37:32Speaker 3: gave me his loopy pills.
- 37:34Speaker 1: To give him. To calm him down, right? Yep, yep.
- 37:37Speaker 1: And it went way better, and he got them, and
- 37:38Speaker 1: you got home in five minutes, right?
- 37:41Speaker 2: No, not quite. No, it was Monday all over again, Josh.
- 37:46Speaker 1: He did it again. Oh, I thought he was going
- 37:48Speaker 1: to fuck. He pooped again.
- 37:49Speaker 2: He did it again. Yeah.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Oh my Lord.
- 37:51Speaker 2: What is wrong?
- 37:52Speaker 1: I think he just likes pooping at the office.
- 37:54Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 37:56Speaker 3: It's so frustrating, too, because he didn't used to be
- 37:59Speaker 3: like this. But year after year, taking him to the vet,
- 38:01Speaker 3: he's just getting worse and worse with his anxiety. And
- 38:05Speaker 3: I was talking to the vet yesterday because she's like,
- 38:07Speaker 3: it happened again. And she seemed so annoyed. She seemed
- 38:11Speaker 3: so annoyed. And I'm like, oh, my God, I'm so sorry.
- 38:13Speaker 1: You know, unfortunately, you're not the one cleaning it up.
- 38:15Speaker 2: I know.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Fortunately for you, you're not the one cleaning it up.
- 38:17Speaker 2: They are. Right. Exactly.
- 38:19Speaker 3: And she seemed really frustrated and really annoyed. And I
- 38:22Speaker 3: was like, I'm sorry, like.
- 38:24Speaker 2: You knew this was happening with my dog. I tried
- 38:27Speaker 2: to warn you guys on Monday.
- 38:28Speaker 3: It happened, and it happened again on Wednesday. I gave
- 38:31Speaker 3: him his pills with more than enough time for them
- 38:34Speaker 3: to kick in. But I will admit to you, when
- 38:37Speaker 3: I brought my dog into the vet, it was almost
- 38:40Speaker 3: two and a half hours after I had given him
- 38:42Speaker 3: the pills.
- 38:44Speaker 2: I knew it didn't kick in. Just his behavior, everything,
- 38:48Speaker 2: he seemed normal.
- 38:50Speaker 3: I was like, there's no way. Unless these pills are weak.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Or it's the wrong dosage or something. There is no
- 38:56Speaker 3: way that these pills kicked in. And then it just
- 38:58Speaker 3: happened again at the vet. And that part sucks.
- 39:00Speaker 2: They're talking to me about possible sedation the next time.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Just for shots.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Just to give him his vaccine.
- 39:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:08Speaker 2: This poor guy. It's just not going well right now.
- 39:11Speaker 1: No, not at all.
- 39:12Speaker 3: And it's getting progressively worse. She did say that that
- 39:16Speaker 3: happens with some dogs. is that they get worse at the.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Vet as they age.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I wonder why, though. Like, why?
- 39:21Speaker 4: You'd think as, like, a little pupper, they're the ones
- 39:24Speaker 4: that are really scared and timid and shy.
- 39:26Speaker 2: It's just because they don't know any better.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Well, yeah, but then as they get older, they're like,
- 39:29Speaker 1: I've done this. a thousand times before. It's OK.
- 39:32Speaker 3: Or as they get older, they were like, I remember
- 39:34Speaker 3: this from the last time and I hated it.
- 39:37Speaker 1: OK.
- 39:38Speaker 3: And with my dog Bonzo, she even said it seems
- 39:41Speaker 3: like he really hates restraint.
- 39:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:44Speaker 3: And they have to kind of hold him down a
- 39:46Speaker 3: little bit. He has to be still because they're using
- 39:48Speaker 3: a sharp needle. They have to protect themselves as well
- 39:51Speaker 3: as the dog, not hurt anyone. But it just sucks
- 39:56Speaker 3: that it's gotten to this point of possible sedation.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Because then I have to pay for that, too.
- 40:00Speaker 4: I know. That's just another added bill for you guys.
- 40:02Speaker 4: You're like, oh, come on. Please just take the shot.
- 40:04Speaker 1: I get that.
- 40:05Speaker 4: The restraint thing I can understand. That, I think for anybody,
- 40:08Speaker 4: is scary. I remember when I was a little young child, too.
- 40:11Speaker 4: They'd kind of hold your arm steady to get the shot.
- 40:13Speaker 4: And I hated that, too.
- 40:14Speaker 1: I was like, don't touch me. I don't like that.
- 40:15Speaker 1: I don't like that.
- 40:16Speaker 4: I don't know you. So I get that. But I mean,
- 40:19Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 40:21Speaker 2: I just don't know what to do anymore.
- 40:22Speaker 3: She told me the next time, if I don't want
- 40:25Speaker 3: to do sedation quite yet, that I can try to
- 40:28Speaker 3: almost double dose.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Not all at once, because we get dangerous there. No,
- 40:34Speaker 2: it gets dangerous.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Your dog's not going to move at all. No, no.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Bonzo's going to be chill.
- 40:40Speaker 2: No!
- 40:42Speaker 3: She was saying the night before, give him a dosage.
- 40:46Speaker 3: And then the morning of, give him another dosage. That
- 40:48Speaker 3: way the last dosage is still kind of in his system.
- 40:51Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Already kicking in. Because if you gave it, what, three hours,
- 40:54Speaker 1: two and a half hours before?
- 40:55Speaker 2: Two and a half hours before. It's supposed to kick
- 40:57Speaker 2: in after two hours. And it just didn't. But I
- 41:00Speaker 2: will say later on that evening... I could tell it
- 41:04Speaker 2: kicked in way later.
- 41:05Speaker 1: He walks in and says, what's up? How's your dad doing?
- 41:07Speaker 3: No, literally four or five hours in, I would say,
- 41:10Speaker 3: is when it finally did kick in.
- 41:12Speaker 1: That's way too late.
- 41:13Speaker 2: I know. And so I was like, it just wasn't
- 41:16Speaker 2: even possible.
- 41:17Speaker 3: And so next year when I have to get his
- 41:18Speaker 3: vaccinations again, I'm already dreading it.
- 41:21Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm going to have to schedule it on
- 41:22Speaker 2: a Saturday.
- 41:23Speaker 3: And my whole Saturday is going to be.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Dedicated to sedating your dog. Yeah.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Jeez.
- 41:28Speaker 2: So for everyone who was wondering how it went.
- 41:31Speaker 3: What was going on with that, because we had a
- 41:33Speaker 3: couple of people following along wondering how Bonzo did at
- 41:36Speaker 3: the vet. It was not great. It was not good
- 41:39Speaker 3: at all.
- 41:40Speaker 4: So.
- 41:41Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 41:42Speaker 3: This is going to be a never-ending thing now, I guess.
- 41:44Speaker 3: My dog is just terrible at the vet.
- 41:47Speaker 1: That's right. Honestly, I think he just likes the pills
- 41:48Speaker 1: and how they make him feel, so he wants more
- 41:50Speaker 1: of them.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Is that what it is?
- 41:51Speaker 1: Yes, yes. He just wants more. Wow.
- 41:54Speaker 2: We are wrapping up the show right now, Josh. Today
- 41:56Speaker 2: was a good day. We had some fun today.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and tomorrow's Friday. I'm excited. This is when I
- 42:01Speaker 1: get my energy, Nina. I love it.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Yes. Well, good. Me too. I had a little bit
- 42:05Speaker 2: of a rough morning today, but you know what? It
- 42:08Speaker 2: went well.
- 42:08Speaker 3: And we're going to be headed over to the Rockies
- 42:11Speaker 3: game a little bit later today.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Which will be fun. It'll be a blast.
- 42:13Speaker 1: That'll pick your day up a little bit, right?
- 42:15Speaker 2: I think so. I think I just need some more
- 42:17Speaker 2: baseball in my life.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Yeah, we get to watch them lose.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm like, good thing we're at the end of
- 42:20Speaker 2: the season.
- 42:20Speaker 1: It's fine. Thank God.
- 42:22Speaker 2: It's time to admit our wrongs for the day. Josh,
- 42:25Speaker 2: what do you got?
- 42:26Speaker 4: Well, yeah, we're going to keep it right there with
- 42:27Speaker 4: the Rockies game for the fourth consecutive year. They are
- 42:32Speaker 4: losing over 100 games, and I was 100% wrong on that.
- 42:37Speaker 1: I was like, no, it can't happen. They can't do it.
- 42:40Speaker 4: And then slowly throughout the entire baseball season, I got
- 42:43Speaker 4: to watch them get worse and worse.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Yeah. And worse. And they did it again.
- 42:48Speaker 4: So four years in a row, they have lost 100 games.
- 42:51Speaker 4: And I'm going to say it again this year. Nina,
- 42:53Speaker 4: it can't get any worse next year.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Knock on wood. Find some wood. Find some wood really quick.
- 42:59Speaker 1: What did you get wrong?
- 43:00Speaker 2: All right. I got wrong.
- 43:01Speaker 3: We were talking about walking for making strides for breast cancer.
- 43:05Speaker 3: And I was talking about our team names. We got
- 43:07Speaker 3: in a bunch of submissions, people texting in yesterday. We
- 43:10Speaker 3: decided to stick with the OG name, Mix Mammeries.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Love it.
- 43:14Speaker 2: And I'm like, I need to.
- 43:15Speaker 3: Google how to spell it.
- 43:16Speaker 1: No idea.
- 43:17Speaker 2: As I'm typing it out on Google, because you have
- 43:19Speaker 2: to at least attempt it.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Totally wrong.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Totally wrong.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Now I want to know how you spelled it.
- 43:25Speaker 2: I spelled it with an O. Memories.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Is it like memories but with an A?
- 43:31Speaker 2: It's with an A, yeah.
- 43:32Speaker 1: It's Memories.
- 43:33Speaker 4: A-R?
- 43:35Speaker 2: A-R-I-E-S.
- 43:36Speaker 1: Oh, I would have got that wrong, too.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought it was an O.
- 43:39Speaker 1: I'm not looking up mammaries very often, I'll be honest.
- 43:41Speaker 2: I know, and I did look it up on our
- 43:43Speaker 2: work computer. I was like, am I going to get
- 43:45Speaker 2: in trouble for this?
- 43:45Speaker 1: It's just about to be The Josh Show. Okay, oh boy.
