- 0:09Speaker 3: Recording.
- 0:10Speaker 1: The following podcast materials are audience listener.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Just wah that.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I like an accent? There a true crime podcast.
- 0:41Speaker 2: You were southern there? Yeah, true crime podcast, y'all. Yeah,
- 0:45Speaker 2: we'll shout out to our southern Southern people. And we've
- 0:47Speaker 2: got a few people in Texas and such. So, uh,
- 0:49Speaker 2: Nichole is just trying to be like you guys.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I'm just trying to fit in, you know, Okay, And
- 0:53Speaker 1: that actually just reminded me. I need to look some.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Did you hear that?
- 0:57Speaker 1: As you're having some alcohol? What else is new around here? Eh?
- 1:00Speaker 2: Sorry? Love you.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I also love beer because the case that I'm doing
- 1:04Speaker 1: today was recommended by someone, right, it was, and so
- 1:09Speaker 1: I wanted to look and see the name and stuff.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure I know, but I don't want to
- 1:13Speaker 1: get it wrong.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Oh I got some I'm supposed to be looking up
- 1:16Speaker 2: to for this.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Wow, talk about disorganized city around here.
- 1:19Speaker 2: And I didn't start our timestamp. It's all good. It's
- 1:23Speaker 2: like a minute off.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I don't even know what that means. But I'm just
- 1:26Speaker 1: gonna say my news first. Okay, So yeah, this case
- 1:29Speaker 1: was recommended by Jensen on Instagram and she's from Texas,
- 1:35Speaker 1: so like, yeah, you know, my yull just fits right
- 1:38Speaker 1: in there. So yeah, thank you. We actually do look
- 1:43Speaker 1: into the recommended cases.
- 1:45Speaker 2: We do. We've got like a plethora of recommended nyes.
- 1:49Speaker 1: But this, like the name of it, I was like,
- 1:50Speaker 1: that's so dope, I'm want to look into.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I mean, I've I've heard a bit about this case.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I have not gone full dive into it. I actually
- 2:00Speaker 2: I don't even think I've heard a podcast about it yet,
- 2:02Speaker 2: but I have heard little tidbits, so I do know
- 2:04Speaker 2: a bit about it.
- 2:05Speaker 1: There are podcasts out about it, but you have to
- 2:08Speaker 1: be I feel like you have to be like kind
- 2:09Speaker 1: of a diehard true crime fan to really know this one.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I think, so yeah, I don't know. It's hard to
- 2:16Speaker 2: say for sure, but I did also want to do
- 2:19Speaker 2: a little bit of a shout out here to another
- 2:21Speaker 2: Instagram individual here, Barnes Craig said some really kind words
- 2:26Speaker 2: to us last week, and I just want to be like,
- 2:28Speaker 2: shout out to you. So I'm going to paraphrase a
- 2:31Speaker 2: little bit here because there's a slight bit of like
- 2:32Speaker 2: a comment conversation beforehand leading up. Just know you have
- 2:37Speaker 2: people out there like myself that absolutely love the podcast,
- 2:41Speaker 2: and you too, you just want more of what you love.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I listened to twelve to fifteen different true crime podcasts
- 2:47Speaker 2: and you two somehow make me feel at home and
- 2:50Speaker 2: it just makes me smile. So that's just a salute
- 2:53Speaker 2: to you too. Oh and the dogs and cats keep
- 2:57Speaker 2: up the hard work. Love that that meant a law,
- 3:00Speaker 2: So thank you very much. We're really happy that we
- 3:02Speaker 2: can make you guys kind of feel at home like that,
- 3:04Speaker 2: m h. And that you guys are loving our podcast
- 3:06Speaker 2: because we're just we're like, we're just diving in, just
- 3:09Speaker 2: giving this a wing and having fun.
- 3:10Speaker 1: So totally. That made my heart happy, it did reading that,
- 3:13Speaker 1: so thank you. That's so cool.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Yes, we got like several announcements we're gonna drop here,
- 3:18Speaker 2: so it might be a bit of a longer intro
- 3:20Speaker 2: than normal. Sorry about that, guys. But if you notice
- 3:22Speaker 2: our audio is a little bit different today. We are
- 3:25Speaker 2: rocking some new microphones. There's some fancy dancy ones.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel fancy af.
- 3:29Speaker 2: However, they're not set up quite right yet. They're not
- 3:32Speaker 2: diald in or anything. So next episode is when you're
- 3:35Speaker 2: really gonna hear the major audio difference. But the nice
- 3:37Speaker 2: thing is Nicole can't play with the audio chords anymore
- 3:41Speaker 2: because like right now, I'm moving my microphone all over
- 3:44Speaker 2: the place and you don't hear.
- 3:44Speaker 1: It, which is so good. Okay, it's not just me.
- 3:47Speaker 2: You do that too, not nearly as much as you.
- 3:50Speaker 1: And the lady in Red. That was not me, that
- 3:52Speaker 1: was the lady in Red.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Sure, so we got the new mics. We're still setting
- 3:58Speaker 2: those up so coming next week. Like I said, fancy
- 4:00Speaker 2: pretty audio. But fun fact, these are these sure sm
- 4:03Speaker 2: seven b's. These are the same microphones Michael Jackson recorded
- 4:07Speaker 2: Thriller on your fangirling over there a little bit. These
- 4:10Speaker 2: are some industry standard microphones that have been around for
- 4:12Speaker 2: a long time. So I'm so happy to have these
- 4:14Speaker 2: in our corner. And it's because of your guys support
- 4:17Speaker 2: that we could justify actually purchasing me. So thank you,
- 4:19Speaker 2: love them, love it. Did we unwrap everything we need
- 4:22Speaker 2: to unwrap? Is that all of it?
- 4:24Speaker 1: I think?
- 4:24Speaker 4: So?
- 4:24Speaker 1: I have one really exciting thing is that this podcast
- 4:28Speaker 1: is gonna have some audio, like recorded audio from this mofoa,
- 4:33Speaker 1: which is really cool.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Some actual like recordings of the individual involved speaking.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Which I don't think we've done before.
- 4:39Speaker 2: So I'm kind of I don't think so.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Actually, look at me being an innovative.
- 4:43Speaker 2: And innovative and fancy and dropping shit and breaking boundaries.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I don't know where I'm going with this.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Are we ready to roll?
- 4:50Speaker 2: I'm ready. I've got a beer in hand, We've dropped
- 4:52Speaker 2: our announcements. We're pumped up. Let's do this.
- 4:54Speaker 4: I know.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I'm just like, ah, because this case is it's wild,
- 4:57Speaker 1: it's wild. I should be drinking, but I have a tea.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I'll drink for you.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Cheers, thank you. Okay, So this is the David Parker
- 5:06Speaker 1: Ray case aka the Toy box Killer Toy box Killer not.
- 5:11Speaker 1: We already dropped that hint on instad we pull like
- 5:13Speaker 1: guests right away. I was like, what the heck?
- 5:15Speaker 2: Have we dropped a hint yet where it hasn't been guessed?
- 5:17Speaker 1: Probably not.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I think every time we drop a hint, it's been guessed.
- 5:20Speaker 1: May their hints are too easy. We need to make
- 5:22Speaker 1: him harder. We should yeah, challenge. Okay, So who is
- 5:26Speaker 1: David Parker Ray?
- 5:27Speaker 2: Let's hear it?
- 5:28Speaker 1: He was born on November sixth, nineteen thirty nine, in Berlin,
- 5:33Speaker 1: New Mexico.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Well, he's an oldie moldy.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Yeah. He did not have the best of childhoods. His
- 5:39Speaker 1: mom didn't want him. His dad was a violent alcoholic,
- 5:42Speaker 1: so he lived with his grandfather, who believed in firm discipline.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Who's a firm discipline.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Old school style. I think I get that. I think
- 5:51Speaker 2: so quick side note, if anyone hears any background, we
- 5:54Speaker 2: do have renovations.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Going on the Yeah, we have a contractor down there.
- 5:57Speaker 2: So if you hear some grinding or something, he's cut
- 5:59Speaker 2: and tile for about apologize.
- 6:02Speaker 1: He would occasionally get visited by his father, and when
- 6:05Speaker 1: he did, do you know what his father would bring him? Like,
- 6:09Speaker 1: what is an idea of a gift that your father
- 6:11Speaker 1: would bring you as like a child.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I don't know, Like my dad would once in a
- 6:15Speaker 2: while come home from work and he'd have like some
- 6:19Speaker 2: candy or something from like the gas station, like a
- 6:21Speaker 2: slurpy or something. Yeah, something like that. But I do
- 6:23Speaker 2: know what he brought him, because you're well, you're me.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Tell you I know. Okay, this case was so heavy
- 6:28Speaker 1: on me.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Well, I just want to say, this is like a
- 6:31Speaker 2: little boy's dream. Almost, no, almost almost dial it back,
- 6:38Speaker 2: like forty five thousand notches and you have a little
- 6:41Speaker 2: boy's dream.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I don't know, I know so this, Yeah, the case
- 6:45Speaker 1: was like a little heavy. So I did like share
- 6:47Speaker 1: some things with you through the week because I was like,
- 6:49Speaker 1: I need to get this off my chest. Okay. So
- 6:52Speaker 1: he would bring him magazines, say is sat is pornography magazines?
- 6:58Speaker 2: See that's what I mean by dal back. Like if
- 7:00Speaker 2: a dad just came home and.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Hey, boy, I guess he was young.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fair. The age and the specific content of
- 7:08Speaker 2: the magazines is.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Definitely it was just a bit much because like so
- 7:11Speaker 1: basically the magazines are showing sexual pleasure from inflicting pain, suffering,
- 7:16Speaker 1: or humiliation onto others.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Yeah. See that's fucked.
- 7:19Speaker 1: That's not okay.
- 7:20Speaker 2: See, if my dad came home was like here, Ben,
- 7:22Speaker 2: here's a booby magazine, I'd be like, hey, But if
- 7:24Speaker 2: my dad came home it's like here, Ben, here's someone
- 7:26Speaker 2: getting tortured to death, then I'm going to get off
- 7:28Speaker 2: on it. I'd be like what the fuck?
- 7:30Speaker 1: Yeah, like, excuse me, but that's just like a bit much,
- 7:34Speaker 1: a touch, just a bit much. It's a bit much.
- 7:37Speaker 2: It's a bit He attended a shirt that says.
- 7:40Speaker 1: That it's a bit much. Yeah, and what the frig?
- 7:43Speaker 2: And what the frig?
- 7:44Speaker 1: He attended Mountainair High School in Mountainair, New Mexico, where
- 7:49Speaker 1: he was bullied by his peers for his shyness around girls.
- 7:53Speaker 1: You can only freaking wonder why the hell is shy
- 7:55Speaker 1: around girls? No kidding, he had probably no idea what
- 7:57Speaker 1: the hell like to do.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I mean, just to be fair, I'm thirty three years
- 8:02Speaker 2: old and still don't know what to tell them to
- 8:04Speaker 2: do around girls and women. So I'm just like, I
- 8:06Speaker 2: don't understand you.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Well, because girls they're kind of interesting.
- 8:11Speaker 2: There's a lot to us you complicated. I'm not saying
- 8:13Speaker 2: that in a bad way.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Spaghetti is delicious, Well yeah, because what's the analogy? Like,
- 8:19Speaker 1: boys are like a waffle. At any moment in time,
- 8:22Speaker 1: they're in one square or what box. Women are like spaghetti,
- 8:27Speaker 1: and it's like just shit intertwined all over the front.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Each each noodle is a thought connecting to another one,
- 8:33Speaker 2: touching other ones and goes all over the place.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And it all makes sense. Though.
- 8:36Speaker 2: I love waffles, I love spaghetti, but they are both
- 8:38Speaker 2: very very different.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. Okay, so at this time he was
- 8:43Speaker 1: also developing fantasies of raping, torturing, and even murdering women.
- 8:49Speaker 1: After completing high school, he enlisted in the US Army,
- 8:53Speaker 1: receiving honorable discharge at the end of his term, where
- 8:56Speaker 1: his service also included work as a general mechanic. David
- 9:01Speaker 1: was divorced four times. Wow, only this dude got like
- 9:06Speaker 1: with that many chicks. But anyway, and had two children,
- 9:09Speaker 1: one being Jesse Ray, who you may hear more about later.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Okay, dot that divorce thing though, Like there's there's some
- 9:18Speaker 2: people who just have like bad luck with that sort
- 9:20Speaker 2: of thing. So, I mean, I'm not going to knock
- 9:22Speaker 2: anyone for being divorced that many times.
- 9:24Speaker 1: No, but he's like a nasty motherfucker. So how did
- 9:26Speaker 1: he get get married four times?
- 9:28Speaker 4: What?
- 9:28Speaker 1: I mean, that's true, it's fine to be divorced, Like,
- 9:31Speaker 1: I'm not against that, but it's like, it's just if
- 9:34Speaker 1: you're gross, Like how did he even get for.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Being divorced that many times? You just got to like
- 9:39Speaker 2: I'm curious on what his lifestyle was. It sounds like
- 9:42Speaker 2: he's very notnicily active sexually, but just active like he's
- 9:45Speaker 2: going through that many people, It's like, what the fuck
- 9:47Speaker 2: is he doing?
- 9:47Speaker 1: Well, they probably like I think he's a charmer, so
- 9:49Speaker 1: he probably charms them. Then they get married and they
- 9:52Speaker 1: realize like that.
- 9:53Speaker 2: He's fucked up.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Nasty you nasty?
- 9:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that's another T shirt coming up from which Lincoln,
- 10:00Speaker 2: You're nasty?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Oh my god, there's so much.
- 10:04Speaker 2: All your saying is going to be turned into T
- 10:06Speaker 2: shirts INtime.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Your nasty, your nasty, moful. Okay. So it's believed David
- 10:10Speaker 1: started his killing spree sometime in the mid nineteen fifties. Okay,
- 10:15Speaker 1: And with that, With that, I'm going to dive right
- 10:17Speaker 1: in here.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Let's dive right in.
- 10:19Speaker 1: We'll hear victims stories shortly, but I'm starting off with
- 10:23Speaker 1: who was David ray Parker? Like why was he? Well,
- 10:26Speaker 1: we already went who but why was he nicknamed the
- 10:29Speaker 1: toy Box Killer? Do you want to know?
- 10:31Speaker 2: Why?
- 10:33Speaker 1: Do you really?
- 10:34Speaker 3: Yes?
- 10:35Speaker 1: Deep breath, David had soundproofd a truck trailer outside his home,
- 10:40Speaker 1: which he called his toy box or Satan's Den, and
- 10:44Speaker 1: it was qu equipped like I mean, equipped with items used,
- 10:50Speaker 1: items used for sexual torture.
- 10:53Speaker 2: He probably made sure that was equipped because he isn't
- 10:55Speaker 2: very equipped was I would assume you didn't, So just
- 11:03Speaker 2: thank you for the clarification. That's nasty.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I'm going to say nasty so many times because this
- 11:08Speaker 1: like it's just like I'm almost like shaky, because this
- 11:10Speaker 1: guy is like so disgusting that I feel like I'm
- 11:13Speaker 1: almost going to have trouble presenting this.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Well, we had trouble, and I'm glad that I.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Have the recordings now because if I had to like
- 11:18Speaker 1: tell what.
- 11:19Speaker 2: It was, he was saying, like, I feel that because
- 11:22Speaker 2: we had trouble on forty four days of health for
- 11:24Speaker 2: the same thing. Like it's like when we're talking the story,
- 11:27Speaker 2: we even know this story, but even to just say
- 11:29Speaker 2: it out loud.
- 11:29Speaker 1: It's different.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a there's shock value that that hits our system.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Can find a story that's kind maybe for my next.
- 11:38Speaker 2: A nice murder, you know, a kind murder, maybe with unicorns,
- 11:41Speaker 2: like a fluffy murder. Yeah, you know, something that was
- 11:44Speaker 2: maybe someone was massaged in a massage therapy clinic. Yeah, quietly, calmly.
- 11:50Speaker 1: And then boom dead.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Yeah, just a bullet to the head. You know, they
- 11:54Speaker 2: didn't feel a thing, something like that, cut and.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Dry, Okay, so the trailer and the contents inside it
- 12:01Speaker 1: allegedly cost to have it around a hundred thousand dollars. Like,
- 12:06Speaker 1: can you just think of the other shit that you
- 12:08Speaker 1: could buy with a hundred thousand.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Dollars, I'd buy a lot of booze, like.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Way better shit, or like travel or just whatever.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:15Speaker 1: He would kidnap between five and six girls each year,
- 12:18Speaker 1: holding them captive for up to three months, dubbing them
- 12:22Speaker 1: his sex slaves, and on occasion he would have more
- 12:26Speaker 1: than one captive at a time as he liked variety.
- 12:30Speaker 1: It was the spice of life.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Wow, what a douche can I just made everyone?
- 12:33Speaker 1: Now they're every going to talk about the spice of
- 12:35Speaker 1: life feel dirty?
- 12:36Speaker 2: No kidding?
- 12:38Speaker 1: Sorry?
- 12:38Speaker 2: Wow?
- 12:39Speaker 1: Sorry?
- 12:39Speaker 2: Wow? Like glitter spice of life? No no, no, you
- 12:45Speaker 2: know yeah that's actually kraft herpees. I shouldn't.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, So during the period of time his sex
- 12:52Speaker 1: slaves were held, he would sexually abuse them. And then
- 12:56Speaker 1: that's honestly like putting it lightly, Like it's really putting
- 12:58Speaker 1: it lightly. I would go into more detail, and I
- 13:02Speaker 1: do apologize for that.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Okay, here we go. Buckle up, ladies and gentlemen.
- 13:06Speaker 1: David's toy box contained a custom built gynecology type table
- 13:10Speaker 1: in the middle with electroids that it minister electric shocks,
- 13:15Speaker 1: and a mirror mounted to the ceiling. He wanted his
- 13:18Speaker 1: victims to be able to see everything he was doing
- 13:21Speaker 1: to them. What that's just the start. Littering the floor
- 13:27Speaker 1: and walls were whips, chains, pulleys, straps, clamps, legs, spreader bars,
- 13:34Speaker 1: surgical blades, and saws, as well as numerous sex toys.
- 13:39Speaker 1: A lot of the devices were things he put together
- 13:42Speaker 1: or made himself, such as a modified drill with sexual
- 13:47Speaker 1: devices attached them, like dildos because he was mechanically inclined, right.
- 13:52Speaker 1: There was also a dildo he made from a PVC pipe.
- 13:57Speaker 1: This PVC pipe was eight inches long, and I know
- 14:00Speaker 1: this because he had each inch labeled. That was one
- 14:03Speaker 1: of his things. He wanted to basically know and learn
- 14:07Speaker 1: like every inch of your fucking body and what you
- 14:09Speaker 1: could handle. Wow, But that's not the worst of that
- 14:13Speaker 1: pipe because at the base of that he had nails
- 14:17Speaker 1: melted in the plastic to be used as spikes that
- 14:20Speaker 1: would just like rip your inner thighs to threads and
- 14:23Speaker 1: stab you as he was entering your body.
- 14:28Speaker 2: That is so fucked up. Yeah, however, I do got
- 14:35Speaker 2: to give him, give him creativity points. Though he's trash,
- 14:40Speaker 2: don't get me wrong, Like fuck this guy on every
- 14:42Speaker 2: different level, freaking disgusting, But I am slightly impressed with
- 14:46Speaker 2: his ingenuity, you know what I mean, Like his.
- 14:49Speaker 1: D I d I Y what is that di y?
- 14:51Speaker 2: Sex toys, Like his ability to create these things, and
- 14:55Speaker 2: his thought process in behind it.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Well, because his whole thing was like he could only
- 14:59Speaker 1: get off. I might to say this later if he's
- 15:01Speaker 1: inflicting pain on others, Yeah, see.
- 15:03Speaker 2: That's weird and just wrong and fucked and.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Set him up for this, I think probably, like really.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Can you imagine being in that room and the mirror
- 15:14Speaker 2: on the ceiling literally seeing every uh I'm painting a picture,
- 15:17Speaker 2: and oh yeah.
- 15:18Speaker 1: We might tell a picture. I will post pictures. I
- 15:20Speaker 1: would go in that room like okay, after the facts.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Okay, I was nasty after.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Okay, gross, gross. That came out so wrong. I mean,
- 15:29Speaker 1: after he was caught just to like look around and
- 15:32Speaker 1: see what the fuck because like I loved, like just
- 15:34Speaker 1: people's brains.
- 15:35Speaker 2: What kind of kinks are you hiding?
- 15:37Speaker 1: I'm not hiding anything, And that came out so wrong.
- 15:40Speaker 1: But it's just like to go into like a crime
- 15:42Speaker 1: scene after the fact, I think would be kind of interesting,
- 15:45Speaker 1: you know, like I think I should have been a detected.
- 15:46Speaker 2: I mean, any crime scene after the fact. I think
- 15:48Speaker 2: going into this one it would be over fucking welling.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Oh yeah, guaranteed, like guaranteed.
- 15:54Speaker 2: And when when was was this year that he was active?
- 15:56Speaker 2: Story again?
- 15:57Speaker 1: Well, he started in like the nineteen fifties, So one.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Hundred thousand dollars to equip this trailer out in the
- 16:02Speaker 2: nineteen fifties.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I don't actually know if it was like
- 16:06Speaker 1: the equivalent to hundred gees. Is that hundreges? Is that
- 16:08Speaker 1: how you could say that?
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah now?
- 16:10Speaker 1: Or if that was then, I honestly don't know that.
- 16:13Speaker 1: They just said it was like value to that. It
- 16:15Speaker 1: could have been he was like cap surd later on,
- 16:21Speaker 1: so it could have been at that time that they
- 16:22Speaker 1: were assessing the value. I don't know. That's one thing
- 16:25Speaker 1: I don't know, gotcha. So the walls had diagrams showing
- 16:29Speaker 1: different methods and techniques for inflicting pain.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Holy fuck, this guy's thorough.
- 16:35Speaker 1: There was also a wooden contraption used to bend over
- 16:39Speaker 1: and immobilize his victims. He would use this to allow
- 16:43Speaker 1: his dogs and sometimes friends to rape his victims.
- 16:47Speaker 2: What the fuck.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I'm not going to go into like a lot of
- 16:51Speaker 1: detail regarding the dogs because like I don't know if
- 16:54Speaker 1: you guys noticed the sorry, but like I'm a huge
- 16:56Speaker 1: animal lover. But I'll just say like breeding musk was involved,
- 17:00Speaker 1: and he had a German shepherd.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Oh jeez, That's what I was wondering. I'm like, hey,
- 17:04Speaker 2: how the fuck is he gonna enable that? But the
- 17:08Speaker 2: breeding musk? Okay, yeah, okay.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, so you can like you can be yeah yeah, I'm.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Just not even going to moving on, moving on.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Moving on. David sexually tortured, terrorized, and presumably killed many
- 17:23Speaker 1: of his victims with these tools for like forty plus
- 17:28Speaker 1: years while living in New Mexico.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Whoa wait, forty plus years hotly, shit.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Like a long ass time with the help of accomplishes
- 17:40Speaker 1: or accomplished accomplishes. I like read so fast that I'm
- 17:44Speaker 1: just like because like I guess, skid so into it.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I also shit at pronouncing words too. Hey, you and
- 17:51Speaker 1: me both were in it together, like.
- 17:53Speaker 2: I said, we just dove into this, just like not
- 17:56Speaker 2: knowing what we're doing. So here we are guys.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Okay, So some of whom are alleged to have been
- 18:02Speaker 1: several of the women he dated, including his last known girlfriend.
- 18:06Speaker 1: I wasn't sure if it's like a girlfriend or a wife,
- 18:08Speaker 1: because like, they weren't together very long. But then some
- 18:11Speaker 1: things would refer to his girlfriend and some like I
- 18:13Speaker 1: think he might have just called her a wife, but
- 18:14Speaker 1: I don't think they're married. And her name is.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Cindy Hendy, Cindy Hindy, Cindy Hindy, Cindy Hindy.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Like that's quite a name, but I think her actual
- 18:26Speaker 1: real name is Cynthia.
- 18:27Speaker 2: I think he hated her.
- 18:30Speaker 1: And she was a willing participant. And his daughter Jesse Ray.
- 18:36Speaker 2: You said his name already, So.
- 18:38Speaker 1: His accomplishes, am I saying that wrong? Still accomplice accomplishes, accomplice,
- 18:44Speaker 1: accomplishes accomplice.
- 18:47Speaker 2: You're saying accomplishes accomplishment.
- 18:51Speaker 1: So their jobs. I'm just moving on. We're basically to
- 18:55Speaker 1: his partners. Yeah, yeah, you'll never hear me say the
- 18:59Speaker 1: word again. Basically bring him or help him attract women.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Ah, those fucks.
- 19:05Speaker 1: This is the thing because I think like being a
- 19:07Speaker 1: woman like your spidey sense would go down like if
- 19:11Speaker 1: another woman was.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Involved, you know, I mean go down.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Like say if like you were like being picked up
- 19:18Speaker 1: or like out of bar and like and like you're
- 19:22Speaker 1: you just wouldn't be as on edge if it was
- 19:24Speaker 1: like another chick with the dude or like another chick
- 19:26Speaker 1: saying like come over to my house or whatever.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Gotcha, Your spidy sense wouldn't be tingling because there's another
- 19:32Speaker 2: female around it like it just I think you would
- 19:35Speaker 2: just makes him feel more comfortable.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Yeah, because like I don't think you'd think that another
- 19:40Speaker 1: chick would like say yeah for the shit, right, Well one.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Would hope, but clearly.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Clearly you just can't trust freaking anyone nowadays, like just
- 19:52Speaker 1: don't like just don't people suck. David's type was young,
- 19:56Speaker 1: clean and well built females. The younger the better, basically
- 20:01Speaker 1: like the tighter the better. Ah this so if and
- 20:05Speaker 1: this is something like I don't even have in there,
- 20:07Speaker 1: but like if you couldn't find like young, then lots
- 20:10Speaker 1: of times he would go they would go to like
- 20:12Speaker 1: onto lesbians.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Oh okay, but that theory doesn't necessarily doesn't necessarily but
- 20:19Speaker 2: because there's toys.
- 20:20Speaker 1: And yeah, yeah, this guy's this guy's stupid.
- 20:24Speaker 2: He's stupid.
- 20:25Speaker 1: So before torturing yeah, we hate him. Before torturing his victims,
- 20:29Speaker 1: David would play an audio tape telling his victims exactly
- 20:33Speaker 1: what he was going to do to them and what
- 20:35Speaker 1: they would have to endure, like in detail. So this
- 20:40Speaker 1: is the start of what would be played. I'm going
- 20:43Speaker 1: to like the very beginning of it. If you want
- 20:45Speaker 1: to listen, like, I'll have a few other clips and stuff,
- 20:47Speaker 1: and if you want to listen to more, you can
- 20:49Speaker 1: google it. But it's like close to an hour of
- 20:51Speaker 1: your life that you'll just like never get back and.
- 20:54Speaker 2: You'll probably regret listening to.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Like, Okay, I was doing chores while I was listening
- 20:58Speaker 1: to this because I had to be distracted, Like, I
- 21:00Speaker 1: listened to the whole thing. I'm not exactly sure if
- 21:02Speaker 1: that was a good idea, but I did.
- 21:04Speaker 3: So.
- 21:05Speaker 1: This is the first This is basically the very beginning
- 21:08Speaker 1: of his nasty motherfuckerself.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Motherfucker itself.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Hello there, bitch, Are you comfortable right now? I doubt it.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Wrists and ankles, chained, gagged, probably blindfolded. You are disoriented
- 21:28Speaker 3: and scared too, I would imagine perfectly normal under the
- 21:33Speaker 3: circumstances for a little while. At least, you need to
- 21:38Speaker 3: get your shit together and listen to the state. It
- 21:42Speaker 3: is very relevant to your situation. I'm going to tell
- 21:46Speaker 3: you in detail why you have been kidnapped, what's going
- 21:51Speaker 3: to happen to you, and how long you'll be here.
- 21:55Speaker 3: I don't know the details of your capture because this
- 21:58Speaker 3: stape is being created. Twenty third nineteen ninety three is
- 22:03Speaker 3: a general advisory tape for future female captives. The information
- 22:08Speaker 3: I'm going to give you is based on my experience
- 22:11Speaker 3: dealing with captives over a period of several years. If
- 22:16Speaker 3: at a future date there are any major changes in
- 22:19Speaker 3: our procedures, the tape will be upgraded. Now you're obviously
- 22:26Speaker 3: here against your will, totally helpless, don't know where you're at,
- 22:32Speaker 3: don't know what's going to happen to you. You're very
- 22:36Speaker 3: scared or very pissed off. I'm sure that you've already
- 22:42Speaker 3: tried to get your wrists and ankles loose. No, you can't.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Now you're just waiting to see what's gonna happen next.
- 22:52Speaker 3: You probably think you're gonna be raped, and you're fucking
- 22:55Speaker 3: sure right about that. Our primary interest is in what
- 22:59Speaker 3: you've got between your legs. You'll be raped thoroughly and
- 23:04Speaker 3: repeatedly and every hole you've got because basically you've been
- 23:11Speaker 3: snatched and brought here for us to train and used
- 23:14Speaker 3: as a sex Sleeve's son kind of far out, I
- 23:19Speaker 3: suppose it is to the uninitiated, but we do it
- 23:22Speaker 3: all the time.
- 23:25Speaker 2: What the fuck deep breasts say?
- 23:28Speaker 1: After that?
- 23:32Speaker 2: This dude knows what he's fucking doing too. There's so
- 23:34Speaker 2: much psychological shit going on now, Like he's smart, he's
- 23:40Speaker 2: he's intelligent, he's a fucking asshole, jack tard, every name
- 23:43Speaker 2: I can think of under the sun. But he is
- 23:46Speaker 2: playing so many mind games in that he's telling you
- 23:52Speaker 2: exactly what you're feeling. He's telling you exactly what you've done,
- 23:56Speaker 2: giving him control over you all ready before anything else
- 24:01Speaker 2: even happens, Like saying you've already tried to get your
- 24:06Speaker 2: hands and your feet loose. You can't.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Yeah, so like calm, yeah, no, like expression really and
- 24:15Speaker 1: it's just oh like it's just like gross.
- 24:21Speaker 2: I can't imagine being in that fucking room hearing that
- 24:23Speaker 2: audio and this goes on for an hour.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, like it's about like fifty minutes or so
- 24:29Speaker 1: because and that's literally like two minutes and like yeah,
- 24:33Speaker 1: he waits like because you're probably like unconscious or whatever,
- 24:36Speaker 1: and he waits for you to like cone and yeah.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Fuck this guy, Yeah, like holy shit, our primary interest
- 24:45Speaker 2: is what you have between your legs. Fuck, my primary
- 24:48Speaker 2: interest is his fucking brain being cream cheese on a
- 24:51Speaker 2: fucking curb side. Yeah, fuck him.
- 24:53Speaker 1: And like he also goes into I don't have that
- 24:56Speaker 1: recorded or like a clip for it, but at after
- 25:00Speaker 1: that's done, I think, like you're you have to do
- 25:03Speaker 1: a questionnaire a questionnaire that he has, and you're literally
- 25:07Speaker 1: like strapped to this table buck ass naked because he's
- 25:11Speaker 1: like this is the process of like where he's getting
- 25:13Speaker 1: to know your body and like he'll ask you questions
- 25:16Speaker 1: about like if you've had a kid or like when
- 25:18Speaker 1: your next period is and all the shit, Like it's
- 25:23Speaker 1: like thorough.
- 25:23Speaker 2: And what happens if they don't answer.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I'm sure he's going to Okay, Well, he has those
- 25:28Speaker 1: electrode things, yeah, hip hooked to their nipples so he'll
- 25:33Speaker 1: di zapt you wow, like wow, hey, Like I mean
- 25:39Speaker 1: like I'm almost like so uncomfortable presenting this case. Like
- 25:42Speaker 1: I was excited but it's also like terrified. They're just
- 25:45Speaker 1: so like, ah, okay, so at a few other things
- 25:49Speaker 1: we do another phone, another recording, but it was also
- 25:54Speaker 1: so this is one thing. It was also explained that
- 25:56Speaker 1: they would only refer to him as master and the
- 25:59Speaker 1: woman as mistress, and to only speak unless spoken to first,
- 26:04Speaker 1: So like say if you had a kid, or you'd
- 26:09Speaker 1: be like, have you ever had a kid? Then you
- 26:11Speaker 1: have to be like yes, Master, no Master, and like
- 26:14Speaker 1: if you forget to say that master word, like the
- 26:17Speaker 1: un you're fucked.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Like you have to hauck off this guy. Wow, what
- 26:21Speaker 2: an ass hat. I hate him.
- 26:23Speaker 1: So the tape would go on to explain, Oh, you
- 26:26Speaker 1: have something else to say to you.
- 26:27Speaker 2: If he doesn't get like, I don't know what he deserves,
- 26:32Speaker 2: but if he doesn't get what he deserves at the
- 26:34Speaker 2: end of this podcast, I'm gonna be angry.
- 26:36Speaker 1: He deserves to basically like be in that room tortured
- 26:40Speaker 1: by like everyone he tortured. Yes, I agree, I think
- 26:45Speaker 1: I think that would be the only thing that like
- 26:47Speaker 1: would make this And I'm not saying that wouldn't even
- 26:49Speaker 1: make it better.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I'm not talking one at a time, all of them
- 26:52Speaker 2: at the.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Same time, yep, doing everything they want.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Not playing a tape that they made. They're gonna play
- 26:59Speaker 2: his own tape for him too, Yeah, and let him
- 27:02Speaker 2: listen to his own fucking tape for an hour. They're
- 27:06Speaker 2: going to fucking bend him over in that little wooden
- 27:08Speaker 2: thing and put his own dog musk on his asshole.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's what's gonna fucking happen.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Ohly, Okay. So the tape would go on to explain
- 27:20Speaker 1: exactly how they would be raped and tortured like in detail.
- 27:26Speaker 1: After he was finished with them, or has, as he
- 27:29Speaker 1: would say, gets tired of them, he would either kill
- 27:33Speaker 1: them or drug them with like a concoction in an
- 27:37Speaker 1: attempt to erase their memories before abandoning them on the
- 27:41Speaker 1: side of the road. And so here's another recording that
- 27:45Speaker 1: kind of explains that, so that I don't have to
- 27:48Speaker 1: say it now.
- 27:51Speaker 3: I'm sure that you're a great little piece of ass,
- 27:54Speaker 3: and you're going to be a lot of fun to
- 27:56Speaker 3: play with, but I will get tired of you eventually.
- 28:01Speaker 3: If I killed every bitch that we kidnapped, there'd be
- 28:04Speaker 3: bodies strung all over the country. And besides, I don't
- 28:08Speaker 3: like killing a girl. Unless it is absolutely necessary. So
- 28:15Speaker 3: I've devised a safe alternate method of disposal. I had
- 28:20Speaker 3: plenty of bitches to practice on over the years, so
- 28:22Speaker 3: I've pretty well got it down pat and I enjoy
- 28:26Speaker 3: doing it. I get off on mind games after we
- 28:31Speaker 3: get completely through with you. You're going to be drugged up
- 28:34Speaker 3: real heavy with a combination of sodium pentathol and phenobarbitol.
- 28:40Speaker 3: There are both hypnotic drugs that will make you extremely
- 28:43Speaker 3: susceptible to hypnosis, auto hypnosis and hypnotic suggestion. You're going
- 28:51Speaker 3: to be kept drugged a couple days while I play
- 28:54Speaker 3: with your mind. By the time I get through brainwashing you,
- 28:59Speaker 3: you're not going to remember a fucking thing about this
- 29:02Speaker 3: little adventure. You won't remember this place, us, or what
- 29:09Speaker 3: has happened to you. There won't be any DNA evidence
- 29:13Speaker 3: because you'll be bathed and both holes between your legs
- 29:17Speaker 3: will be thoroughly flushed out. He'll be dressed, sedated, and
- 29:23Speaker 3: turn loose on some country road, bruised store all over,
- 29:29Speaker 3: but nothing that won't heal up in a week or two.
- 29:32Speaker 3: The thought of being brainwashed may not be appealing to you,
- 29:36Speaker 3: but we've been doing it a long time, and it works,
- 29:42Speaker 3: and it's the lesser of two evils. I'm sure that
- 29:47Speaker 3: you would prefer that in lieu of being strangled, they're
- 29:50Speaker 3: having your throat cut.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Okay, how was that for you?
- 29:56Speaker 2: Well, there's the theory on him liking mind games. He
- 29:59Speaker 2: just said he it's off on mind games.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, he likes playing with your mind. And
- 30:04Speaker 1: like he says that he doesn't like to kill bitches,
- 30:09Speaker 1: but like he's also practiced, and so you can only
- 30:12Speaker 1: like I can just only imagine like how many people
- 30:15Speaker 1: like he's actually killed.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Really, yeah for sure, But you know what I he's
- 30:20Speaker 2: being as far as I can tell. I mean, who
- 30:23Speaker 2: fucking knows he likes playing mind games. He's been pretty
- 30:26Speaker 2: fucking honest in these tapes. He's saying it like it
- 30:29Speaker 2: is though he is playing mind games, being he's suggesting
- 30:33Speaker 2: to them and this sort of stuff. But he is
- 30:34Speaker 2: being honest. So I kind of believe when he says
- 30:38Speaker 2: he doesn't like to kill, he'll do it if necessary.
- 30:41Speaker 1: He's also been experimenting to get this like perfect combination
- 30:45Speaker 1: of drugs and stuff, so I imagine and because like
- 30:48Speaker 1: experimenting like with those drugs is not like a safe situation.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Oh yeah, so there's I.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Imagine there's been tons of people that have you know,
- 30:56Speaker 1: fell through.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's the thing. He's probably experiment hing with
- 31:00Speaker 2: the drugs, keeping them to see if it works, and
- 31:03Speaker 2: then it doesn't work, then he's like, fuck, okay, kill her,
- 31:06Speaker 2: get rid of her. Yeah, but now he's got to
- 31:08Speaker 2: dialed in. He's like, I don't have to kill him
- 31:09Speaker 2: anymore because that was just like a way of disposing him.
- 31:12Speaker 2: I can dispose him another way where a body won't
- 31:14Speaker 2: be found and they just don't remember, and it's a
- 31:16Speaker 2: better way.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Yeah, which is a crazy, fucked up It's so crazy
- 31:21Speaker 1: because like my armpits are sweating, it's so crazy.
- 31:25Speaker 2: That's just me on a normal basis. But like hypnosis,
- 31:30Speaker 2: I'm really surprised that they can do that with the
- 31:32Speaker 2: drugs because hypnosis even said it there, it's suggestion. It's
- 31:35Speaker 2: a power of suggestion. That's what hypnosis is. It's you
- 31:39Speaker 2: can't hypnotize someone to do something unless they would normally
- 31:43Speaker 2: be willing to do it. Yeah, that's why you don't.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Drugs are like allowing you to get to that state, yes,
- 31:51Speaker 1: where it's then easy for him to do it. Yeah,
- 31:54Speaker 1: so like he just he just has the snail.
- 31:56Speaker 2: It's weird the amount of times he would have had
- 31:59Speaker 2: to try and error this as me terrified.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Actually, yeah, totally okay with that wondering did David ever
- 32:09Speaker 1: get caught?
- 32:10Speaker 2: Yes, I mean, are you wondering? I'm not wondering, I know,
- 32:14Speaker 2: but I'm wondering what the fuck happens?
- 32:17Speaker 1: Okay, Well, that brings us to our Badass of the Day.
- 32:20Speaker 1: You know, we like badass, and bad ass is the day.
- 32:22Speaker 2: We need like a like an audio to play like
- 32:25Speaker 2: Badass of the Day explosions and that sort of thing.
- 32:29Speaker 1: So this is a bit confusing because it's not his
- 32:31Speaker 1: lady friend. This is Cynthia Vigil. So I'm going to
- 32:34Speaker 1: like go by his lady friend as Sydney, and then
- 32:36Speaker 1: this is like a victim Cynthia, Okay, David's last victim
- 32:40Speaker 1: and the one who would lead to his capture. Good, yes, yes,
- 32:45Speaker 1: we like her. Cynthia's story has started with David posing
- 32:49Speaker 1: as an undercover police officer and approaching Cynthia in a
- 32:53Speaker 1: parking lot, telling her that she was under arrests for
- 32:57Speaker 1: prostitution and handcuffing her like she was at she prostitutes,
- 33:00Speaker 1: like being a prostitute, putting her in his trailer, he
- 33:04Speaker 1: took her to his toy box an elephant, butte New Mexico.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Question, you already have a question I do. If he
- 33:14Speaker 2: liked young and tight, why is he after a prostitute?
- 33:18Speaker 1: I know, I know, right, there is like things in
- 33:21Speaker 1: here that don't don't make a lot of sense. And
- 33:23Speaker 1: because he also liked like in I think in his
- 33:27Speaker 1: is in his tape that he said that like almost
- 33:29Speaker 1: like teenagers.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Fucking ros This dude's growing.
- 33:34Speaker 1: But then a lot of like but we don't know,
- 33:36Speaker 1: like you're making me have to say something I shouldn't
- 33:38Speaker 1: yet we don't know, so and the ones that we
- 33:42Speaker 1: do are are not like.
- 33:44Speaker 2: You know, young gotcha?
- 33:47Speaker 1: So yeah, anyway, anyway.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Fuck this guy. That's a moral of this story. Fuck
- 33:52Speaker 2: this guy.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Fuck this mofo. Cynthia was held captive for three days,
- 34:00Speaker 1: so she's actually kind of lucky. Really, Yeah, it's not
- 34:02Speaker 1: like three months. That's what I was thinking, but that
- 34:04Speaker 1: she's not lucky, but like it could have been longer. Yeah,
- 34:07Speaker 1: on March twenty second, nineteen ninety nine, she was able
- 34:10Speaker 1: to escape, so that like, remember he started this mid
- 34:13Speaker 1: nineteen fifties and this is nineteen ninety nine geese to escape.
- 34:18Speaker 1: She waited for David to head to work and then
- 34:21Speaker 1: was able to unlock her chains as Sydney had left
- 34:25Speaker 1: the keys on a nearby table before going into another
- 34:28Speaker 1: room to take a phone call. Sometimes, because this was
- 34:31Speaker 1: in the house, sometimes they had like the captives in
- 34:33Speaker 1: the house. They weren't always in that trailer. After Cynthia
- 34:36Speaker 1: got the keys, Sydney noticed her trying to escape and
- 34:40Speaker 1: came to stop it. There was like obviously a struggle
- 34:43Speaker 1: with Cindy breaking a lamp over Cynthia's head, which could
- 34:46Speaker 1: have like knocked her right out. Which one's who again,
- 34:49Speaker 1: Cindy is the when we hate Oh okay, Cynthia is
- 34:53Speaker 1: the badass. Cynthia's So Cindy is an asshole and like
- 35:00Speaker 1: broke a lamp over Cynthia the victim's head, But she
- 35:04Speaker 1: persisted and ended up unlocking her chains and stabbed Cindy
- 35:08Speaker 1: in the neck with an ice pick.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Fuck like, Cynthia, yo, girl, get it?
- 35:15Speaker 1: Like I love it? Cyndia or Cindy now the city?
- 35:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Cindy person on the scene.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Oh shit, Okay, so Cindy Cindy the mofo was af
- 35:28Speaker 1: and this left Cynthia able to escape. Awesome, So fleeing
- 35:34Speaker 1: the scene completely naked, which is a visual and a
- 35:37Speaker 1: half way. I mean, that's that's way better than being
- 35:39Speaker 1: in there wearing a metal collar attached to a six
- 35:43Speaker 1: foot chain like. Run down the road. Cynthia ran down
- 35:47Speaker 1: to down. Sorry, I already said that. So she ran
- 35:51Speaker 1: down the road, seeking help, which she was able to
- 35:53Speaker 1: get from a nearby homeowner who took her in, confronted her, come,
- 35:58Speaker 1: confronted her, sorry.
- 36:00Speaker 2: For her, comforted, took her in, confronted her, what you
- 36:04Speaker 2: doing out?
- 36:04Speaker 1: He helped her, basically comforted her and called the police.
- 36:12Speaker 2: I like, confronted her.
- 36:14Speaker 1: I know I did. That came out kind of wrong.
- 36:16Speaker 1: And then I was like, that doesn't make any sense.
- 36:17Speaker 1: I gotta fix sen. So her escape led officials to
- 36:21Speaker 1: David's toy room and investigated or instigated the capture of
- 36:26Speaker 1: David and.
- 36:27Speaker 2: His partners God yes yes.
- 36:31Speaker 1: After the publicity surrounding the arrest, another victim named an
- 36:37Speaker 1: A Jelica Angelica, Yes, Angelica, I first of it was
- 36:41Speaker 1: Angela and Angelica and Ford saying Cindy had invited her
- 36:47Speaker 1: over and that the couple had repeatedly raped and tortured
- 36:51Speaker 1: her over the course of four days. Angelica was convinced
- 36:56Speaker 1: they were going to kill her, but she begged for
- 36:59Speaker 1: her life, saying that she she had young children at
- 37:01Speaker 1: home and like her and Cindy were friends. So like,
- 37:05Speaker 1: I guess this fucking affected Cindy. I don't know if
- 37:08Speaker 1: she all of a sudden just decided to have a
- 37:10Speaker 1: tiny bit of a heart and they let her go.
- 37:13Speaker 1: She was apparently picked up while hitchhiking. Angelica like, it's
- 37:17Speaker 1: crazy that she would actually go hitch hiking, Like I
- 37:21Speaker 1: think you just never trust another soul in your life,
- 37:23Speaker 1: but like you're in a situation where you have to
- 37:24Speaker 1: like get home, right. So she was actually picked up
- 37:28Speaker 1: by an off duty deputy and told the story to
- 37:33Speaker 1: hit to this person. I actually don't know if it
- 37:34Speaker 1: was a female or male, but the story was so
- 37:37Speaker 1: crazy that the officer didn't believe her and thought she
- 37:41Speaker 1: was making it up. So she left it at that
- 37:43Speaker 1: and never reported it.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Are you serious? Yeah, another one of these It was
- 37:49Speaker 2: reported and someone just brushed it down. That is the
- 37:52Speaker 2: biggest like like that theme going through these cases, Like
- 37:57Speaker 2: it is it's a crazy story because this is crazy.
- 37:59Speaker 1: But it's like, I mean, it's like your job. Maybe
- 38:02Speaker 1: just like go there, like pay a little.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Visit, just check it out, do your job.
- 38:06Speaker 1: I mean he was off duty at the time.
- 38:08Speaker 2: But so I don't know, maybe I have some dignity
- 38:12Speaker 2: and human decency and actually care for someone to listen
- 38:15Speaker 2: to that, like holy fuck.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Like I don't know, maybe she didn't seem like a
- 38:19Speaker 1: very reputable person, but like still, I don't do people
- 38:24Speaker 1: make up stories that they're just like tortured or rape
- 38:26Speaker 1: for days.
- 38:27Speaker 2: I'm sure some do, but it should be investigated regardless.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Yeah. So then there was a third victim named Kelly
- 38:35Speaker 1: gret I think that's how you say it, and her
- 38:38Speaker 1: stories are going wild. So she was found by coming
- 38:43Speaker 1: forward after the FBI release some footage they had found
- 38:46Speaker 1: dating back to nineteen ninety six showing a woman's strap
- 38:50Speaker 1: to the gynecology table David had in his toy room.
- 38:53Speaker 1: The woman, Kelly, had an identifying tattoo on her leg
- 38:57Speaker 1: that the FBI was hoping someone would recognize, and sure enough,
- 39:03Speaker 1: Kelly saw that video and knew that was her tattoo.
- 39:07Speaker 1: She would apparently have nightmares of terrible things happening to her,
- 39:10Speaker 1: but could never put any of it together. She just
- 39:13Speaker 1: figured she was like having like weird nightmares of her
- 39:15Speaker 1: being tied.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Up and shit, like his brainwashing got so fucking deep.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Who would have ever thought that's even possible.
- 39:22Speaker 1: So she ended up having a lot of it like
- 39:24Speaker 1: come back to her, able to come back to her.
- 39:26Speaker 1: But yeah, like she like she didn't know, like she
- 39:31Speaker 1: recognized his tattoo and was like, holy shit, like that's
- 39:33Speaker 1: my that's my motherfucker tattoo.
- 39:34Speaker 2: That situation of seeing yourself on a table like that.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Yeah, tied up?
- 39:38Speaker 2: Could you imagine what's real?
- 39:39Speaker 4: That all?
- 39:39Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I think I like, I think I
- 39:41Speaker 1: would just like it didn't like the video didn't show
- 39:44Speaker 1: anything like well it was like gross, but like he
- 39:47Speaker 1: was just like touching her thigh and stuff like it
- 39:49Speaker 1: didn't like, I mean, there may be even more to it,
- 39:51Speaker 1: but ah, what they released wasn't.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Like watching that happen. I bet she could like almost
- 39:56Speaker 2: feel it fucking happening. Holy shit. Wow yep.
- 40:00Speaker 1: So she later testified that she had gotten in a
- 40:03Speaker 1: fight with her husband and decided to spend the night
- 40:06Speaker 1: playing pool with friends. One of those friends was David's daughter, Jesse.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Ray ah shit.
- 40:14Speaker 1: When the night was over, Jesse offered to give Kelly
- 40:16Speaker 1: a ride home, but said that she had to stop
- 40:19Speaker 1: at her dad's house on the way home or on
- 40:21Speaker 1: the way, which, like you would just never think that
- 40:24Speaker 1: would be an issue.
- 40:26Speaker 2: You're trusting a friend, Okay, you gonna stop your dad's cool?
- 40:28Speaker 1: Cool, like right on, like right on, Like I would
- 40:30Speaker 1: just think that would just never cross my mind that
- 40:32Speaker 1: would be a problem.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh, we're stopping your dad's place. Cool. By the way,
- 40:35Speaker 2: is he a like serial rapist and murderer?
- 40:38Speaker 1: Just by this you have like a toy box, like
- 40:40Speaker 1: just making sure.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Yeah, these are questions you should always ask.
- 40:44Speaker 1: So there you go, just like you're never gonna have
- 40:45Speaker 1: another friend in your life.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Right, moral of the story, we don't need friends. Fuck
- 40:50Speaker 2: people listen to podcasts about people dying. That's what you
- 40:53Speaker 2: did to time.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. Okay. So once they were there, David
- 40:57Speaker 1: and Jesse basically like confronted her, tied her up, and
- 41:01Speaker 1: drugged her. Kelly had endured three days of torture and drugging,
- 41:06Speaker 1: drugging for which she was only coherent for bits and pieces.
- 41:11Speaker 1: When David was done with her. He dropped her off
- 41:13Speaker 1: at home, saying he found her wandering along the lake
- 41:18Speaker 1: Front beach and he was able to do this. And
- 41:21Speaker 1: because I haven't mentioned this yet, but he was a
- 41:23Speaker 1: park ranger, so he was like wearing his uniform, looking
- 41:27Speaker 1: like irrespectable human being, and he was like just being
- 41:32Speaker 1: a nice guy, like I found her wandering around like
- 41:34Speaker 1: a state park, like here she is, dang.
- 41:37Speaker 2: And then she doesn't report anything.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Well because she didn't report because she had no idea,
- 41:41Speaker 1: she didn't remember anything happened.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I'm not blaming her, That's what I mean.
- 41:44Speaker 2: And that's his plan. And then and then she didn't
- 41:46Speaker 2: report anything. So he's just continuing to be this quote
- 41:49Speaker 2: unquote respectable individual when really he's actually the fucking scum
- 41:53Speaker 2: to stuck to the shit on the bottom of your
- 41:55Speaker 2: shoe that you stepped in.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Yep, Like he's Nasty's nasty. So besides his partners of
- 42:04Speaker 1: Jesse Ray and Cindy Hendy, there was also Dennis Roy Yancy,
- 42:10Speaker 1: which leads us to another victim.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Can we call him Dennis the Menace please? Okay? That
- 42:18Speaker 2: made me happy.
- 42:19Speaker 1: So the other victim is Marie Parker and I'm not
- 42:22Speaker 1: certain about this, but some reports say that this was
- 42:26Speaker 1: like Dennis the MENACE's girlfriend or like former girlfriend or something.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I like how you're rolling with. Okay, just for the record,
- 42:34Speaker 2: what was his actual name again?
- 42:35Speaker 1: Dennis Roy Yancy.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Okay, in case you guys need to look it up,
- 42:39Speaker 2: there you go.
- 42:39Speaker 1: But from here and out, Dennis the Menace. Because I
- 42:41Speaker 1: have Google Dennis the Menace, you probably won't find him.
- 42:44Speaker 1: So after raping and torturing Marie, David forced Dennis the
- 42:49Speaker 1: Menace to murder her by strangling her. It's like, okay, ticket, seriously,
- 43:00Speaker 1: should I stop saying Dennis the Menace? But yeah, you
- 43:04Speaker 1: can get serious, like he just murdered someone in your life.
- 43:10Speaker 2: He's just talking about Dennis the Menace.
- 43:14Speaker 1: We have to get it together, Okay, Okay, I want
- 43:17Speaker 1: to start giggling her. Okay, So dead the Menace?
- 43:23Speaker 2: Okay, that's enough. Just Dennis, just.
- 43:25Speaker 1: Dennis, Okay, So day would force him to murder like
- 43:29Speaker 1: his girlfriend. They then buried her body in the desert.
- 43:35Speaker 1: But when Dennis admitted this in questioning and like he
- 43:38Speaker 1: would said he would go help them locate the body. Okay,
- 43:42Speaker 1: I still am like, are.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Keep it together?
- 43:47Speaker 1: So they like Dennis said he would go help, like
- 43:49Speaker 1: the I try to find Marie, right, like he knew
- 43:52Speaker 1: he remembered where the hell they buried her, but when
- 43:55Speaker 1: they went there, couldn't find her. Really, so they think
- 44:00Speaker 1: David moved the body. The body like he was very
- 44:04Speaker 1: good at covering all his tracks.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Well, I hate to give him this credit, but he
- 44:09Speaker 2: is smart. He's very intelligent. Clearly he's done his fucking homework.
- 44:13Speaker 2: He's made sure he's covering his bases.
- 44:15Speaker 1: No, so the FBI sent one hundred agents to examine
- 44:19Speaker 1: David's property and surroundings, but no identifiable human regains were found.
- 44:26Speaker 1: They never located a single body tied to David.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Not one shit, not.
- 44:32Speaker 1: One, which I think is crazy because he I mean,
- 44:38Speaker 1: I say it later, but like it's upwards, like they
- 44:40Speaker 1: think that he killed at least forty people like nothing.
- 44:46Speaker 2: So let me get the straight. He has never had
- 44:49Speaker 2: a charge for murder under his belt.
- 44:51Speaker 1: No, we'll get there.
- 44:55Speaker 2: But no, even though in the tape he talks about people.
- 45:01Speaker 1: Yeah, because they never found a body, like they don't
- 45:03Speaker 1: have the evidence.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Right, Wow, Okay, I mean arguably he can find I know.
- 45:11Speaker 1: I feel like that. Okay, I feel like that's just yeah,
- 45:15Speaker 1: I know, I know I found that weird too, But anyway,
- 45:17Speaker 1: we're gonna move on here, We're gonna move on from that.
- 45:20Speaker 1: We'll talk about it again, Okay. And just one more
- 45:25Speaker 1: touch point that I want to say has how careful
- 45:28Speaker 1: he was is he had a journal that contained dozens
- 45:30Speaker 1: of entries, dates, and the number of times he tortured
- 45:34Speaker 1: each victim, but names were never associated, like he never
- 45:38Speaker 1: wrote down their names or anything. A couple theories for
- 45:42Speaker 1: where the bodies could be, being that he's a park ranger,
- 45:46Speaker 1: he had access to a lot of private areas that
- 45:49Speaker 1: were like off the beaten path potentially right and Elephant
- 45:53Speaker 1: Butte Lake, which was right near his home, is the
- 45:56Speaker 1: largest body of water New Mexico, covering over forty acres,
- 46:01Speaker 1: So it's like basically impossible to search the whole lake.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm assuming it's probably got some pretty deep spots too, where, Yeah.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Very deep spots, because they did find a map of
- 46:12Speaker 1: the lake in his home and there was an ex
- 46:15Speaker 1: labeled yeah, but they had no luck finding like a body. Jeez,
- 46:20Speaker 1: Like just crazy, but.
- 46:22Speaker 2: Knowing him, that could have been something to lead him
- 46:24Speaker 2: completely off the trail.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Actually yeah, yeah, because the and this wasn't another I
- 46:32Speaker 1: don't remember exactly a video or something. Cindy did say
- 46:35Speaker 1: like he knew what to do for making sure the
- 46:39Speaker 1: bodies like stayed underwater. But then if he knew what
- 46:43Speaker 1: to do, that means like he must have experimented. So
- 46:46Speaker 1: I don't know, it's just crazy that like he just is.
- 46:48Speaker 1: There's just no body ever found, Like it's just crazy,
- 46:51Speaker 1: like just crazy.
- 46:53Speaker 4: Ah.
- 46:53Speaker 1: So that basically brings us like to the convictions. Dennis
- 46:58Speaker 1: was convicted of second degree murder and of conspiracy to
- 47:01Speaker 1: commit first degree murder and was sentenced to two fifteen
- 47:06Speaker 1: year prison terms. But you might have a question that
- 47:08Speaker 1: I'm an answer. Okay, this seems like a like a
- 47:11Speaker 1: harsh sentence.
- 47:12Speaker 2: Possibly right, yes, because my hand is literally but.
- 47:14Speaker 1: He pleaded guilty in court. He pleaded guilty. A speculation
- 47:19Speaker 1: that David had something to do with that he was
- 47:23Speaker 1: like manipulating him behind bars, like he got a note
- 47:28Speaker 1: that basically said something like rats don't do well in prison.
- 47:33Speaker 1: So instead of like you know, saying not guilty because
- 47:37Speaker 1: I don't think that he necessarily deserved thirty years in prison, yeah,
- 47:41Speaker 1: he just pleaded guilty. Because he was scared shitless of David,
- 47:45Speaker 1: so he got a freaking murder charge. Wow, okay, okay, Cindy,
- 47:54Speaker 1: oh oh oh yeah. This leads me to my other clip.
- 47:57Speaker 1: I have a short clip to play from an interview
- 47:59Speaker 1: she did that aired on the Discovery Channel.
- 48:01Speaker 2: I think it was okay.
- 48:03Speaker 1: She had only been date with David for under a
- 48:05Speaker 1: year when he was caught, but she knew like a
- 48:09Speaker 1: lot and didn't do anything to stop it. But I
- 48:11Speaker 1: was like, it's surprising, like he had other lady friends,
- 48:13Speaker 1: I think, right. So he apparently told her he had
- 48:16Speaker 1: killed at least one girl year for forty years, so
- 48:18Speaker 1: that's like the forty Yeah. And though that scared her,
- 48:23Speaker 1: it also interested her to get to know a serial killer,
- 48:26Speaker 1: which I'm like, oh my god, you could just like
- 48:28Speaker 1: run with the fucking hills. But okay, weren't.
- 48:31Speaker 2: You saying something like that the other day. You'd like
- 48:33Speaker 2: to meet a serial killer?
- 48:35Speaker 1: Yeah, but not like date Oh sorry, but not like
- 48:39Speaker 1: date one and live with one.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, that's fair.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Maybe like if they're behind bars, and I just got
- 48:44Speaker 1: to be like, wow, Dick, you're freaking weird.
- 48:47Speaker 2: You're freaking weird. That's another t shirt from the Coole
- 48:50Speaker 2: that were gonna get made one day. You're hi, You're
- 48:52Speaker 2: freaking weird.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Okay, So here's here's Cindy's clip.
- 49:00Speaker 4: What did you think doing these things to other women?
- 49:03Speaker 4: I had no remorse at the time. It was like
- 49:06Speaker 4: a slow motion. I was there and I don't think
- 49:13Speaker 4: I had any failing one way or the other. I
- 49:15Speaker 4: didn't hate Cindy. I just didn't know her.
- 49:18Speaker 2: And you were not horrified.
- 49:21Speaker 4: No, nothing durssic was happening. There was no blood or
- 49:27Speaker 4: she wasn't being beat to a pulp or anything, you know.
- 49:31Speaker 4: So was there to be horrified over?
- 49:34Speaker 2: What's there to be horrified over? What?
- 49:39Speaker 1: Yeah? Like gross?
- 49:42Speaker 2: Fuck her so much?
- 49:43Speaker 1: To be horrified over? Are you kidding me? Are you
- 49:46Speaker 1: kidding me?
- 49:46Speaker 2: Fuck her?
- 49:49Speaker 1: Anyway, So, Cindy was also manipulated by David Wall in
- 49:53Speaker 1: jail and recanted her confession, saying she made it all
- 49:57Speaker 1: up because she did like a full on confession. She
- 50:00Speaker 1: was sentenced in two thousand for her roles in the
- 50:03Speaker 1: abduction and torture of Cynthia and Angelica, receiving thirty six
- 50:09Speaker 1: years behind bars, but after serving half her sentence, Cindy,
- 50:15Speaker 1: it's now a free bird.
- 50:17Speaker 2: Of course she's a free bird.
- 50:20Speaker 1: But I mean eighteen years Ah, I don't know, she.
- 50:27Speaker 2: Should be locked up. That's not very long time. Yeah,
- 50:29Speaker 2: she should also be put in the toy box and
- 50:31Speaker 2: all those victims that she was involved in.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Because at first I was kind of like, Okay, maybe
- 50:35Speaker 1: she's not like a terrible person. But then when I
- 50:37Speaker 1: read or listened to that, I was like, actually, you
- 50:40Speaker 1: are I her.
- 50:42Speaker 2: People can just recan't confessions?
- 50:44Speaker 1: Yeah, Like, well, because I don't know, like he got
- 50:48Speaker 1: to her too while.
- 50:48Speaker 2: She was Yeah, but even still, like imagine going into
- 50:51Speaker 2: work one day, going up to your boss in their
- 50:53Speaker 2: face and be like, hey, fucked tart, fuck you your
- 50:56Speaker 2: piece of shit, and then going to work and then
- 50:58Speaker 2: your boss an hour later calls you in the office
- 50:59Speaker 2: and be like, look, we gotta fire you. And you're like, why, well,
- 51:03Speaker 2: listen what you said to me earlier. That's unacceptable. Oh
- 51:05Speaker 2: I take that back.
- 51:06Speaker 1: It's okay, I know, but like in court, you can
- 51:09Speaker 1: just take.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Shit back, right like what the fuck?
- 51:12Speaker 1: Which is crazy?
- 51:14Speaker 2: Okay, you can't take back raping those people. You can't
- 51:17Speaker 2: take back murdering those people. Why can you take that back?
- 51:20Speaker 1: So as her Jesse, the daughter her father actually offered
- 51:25Speaker 1: to plead guilties to certain charges in order to get
- 51:28Speaker 1: her like released, So she served two and a half
- 51:33Speaker 1: years in jail. But that we know of, she was
- 51:36Speaker 1: only like involved with Kelly. But I mean, like that
- 51:39Speaker 1: we know of.
- 51:40Speaker 2: You know she was.
- 51:40Speaker 1: She's probably crazy too. So we're almost wrapping up here.
- 51:45Speaker 1: I know this is like a bit of a longer
- 51:46Speaker 1: episode than we usually have, but like I didn't want
- 51:50Speaker 1: to stop it and make you guys like have to
- 51:52Speaker 1: wait a day because like we need to disclose this. Yeah,
- 51:54Speaker 1: it just needs to be closed.
- 51:56Speaker 2: Yeah, don't want to drag this on.
- 51:58Speaker 1: Okay. So that and so they were just it brings
- 52:01Speaker 1: us to David. So he was convicted in two thousand
- 52:04Speaker 1: and one. I don't think you're going to be happy then.
- 52:07Speaker 2: I don't think I'm going to be either.
- 52:08Speaker 1: I don't know. Okay. There were numerous trials, but in
- 52:11Speaker 1: the end, David was sentenced to over two hundred years
- 52:14Speaker 1: in prison for his offenses of abduction and sexual torture.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Okay, I like that.
- 52:19Speaker 1: But David never admitted to any murders, though in two
- 52:24Speaker 1: thousand and two he let authorities know he was willing
- 52:27Speaker 1: to talk, okay, but our meeting was scheduled, but David
- 52:34Speaker 1: died of a heart attack before it took place.
- 52:38Speaker 2: Fucking serious.
- 52:39Speaker 1: He served a total of three years of his two
- 52:43Speaker 1: hundred and twenty four year sentence.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Fucking kidding me, he died. I'm fucking glad he's dead.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Yeah, but I know likely people didn't want that, Like
- 52:54Speaker 1: there was even the victim saying like you know, like
- 52:56Speaker 1: maybe execute or whatever, but like they wanted him to
- 52:59Speaker 1: like suffer. Yeah, and like he just where's the just
- 53:03Speaker 1: where just dies? And he was just about I think
- 53:05Speaker 1: to probably maybe even admit to more. Who knows. Yeah,
- 53:08Speaker 1: like there's bodies, there's I don't know, Like there's so
- 53:11Speaker 1: much that's just never going to be known now. I
- 53:13Speaker 1: think they can't find a single body or nothing.
- 53:16Speaker 2: I really hope he's in a fucking toy box in
- 53:18Speaker 2: a place that's fucking burning for the rest of his
- 53:21Speaker 2: fucking eternity. Yeah, and he's got some little fucking minion
- 53:24Speaker 2: zoning around doing exactly what he had done to those girls.
- 53:29Speaker 1: There is like a website that has a whole bunch
- 53:32Speaker 1: of like pieces of jewelry and stuff that you can
- 53:35Speaker 1: look at to see like if you like recognize it
- 53:37Speaker 1: of like maybe I loved ones or something, because yeah,
- 53:41Speaker 1: they're just like what did they do? You know?
- 53:44Speaker 2: Maybe we'll link that link in the show notes here.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Do you have that website?
- 53:49Speaker 1: I don't know if I saved it, but I can
- 53:50Speaker 1: find it again.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Okay, well we'll see if you can put it down below.
- 53:53Speaker 1: But yeah, so that's the story.
- 53:55Speaker 2: Of the toy box asshole.
- 53:57Speaker 1: The toy box Killer and Dennis the Menace. Yeah, but
- 54:00Speaker 1: he's called the killer but yeah, they think it's not
- 54:02Speaker 1: charge with any murder, so he is a killer.
- 54:04Speaker 2: He's clearly a fucking killer.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Yeah, Dennis the Menacing. Goodness for that because that was
- 54:10Speaker 1: a little bit of camp really for everyone a little bit.
- 54:12Speaker 2: You were literally crying, you were laughing.
- 54:15Speaker 1: I was crying. Yeah, it was. It was perfect.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Well that was a good well not a good episode,
- 54:19Speaker 2: but uh, well done on the research and delivery.
