2:42
Speaker 3: Regatta kicks off tomorrow, but Regatta not the only big
2:45
Speaker 3: event going on for the fourth City of Hurricane. Is
2:47
Speaker 3: big doings going on to joining us not to talk
2:49
Speaker 3: about it. Hurricane Mayor Scott Edwards along with Amanda Smith Raymie,
2:52
Speaker 3: marketing director for the City of Hurricane. Good morning, folks,
2:55
Speaker 3: welcome to the show.
2:56
Speaker 5: Hey, good morning, my friend, how are you doing.
2:58
Speaker 3: I am doing fine.
2:59
Speaker 5: Is a there too or just you oh ill know
3:02
Speaker 5: me and amand are both here absolutely?
3:04
Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, all right, I want to make sure that
3:05
Speaker 3: the important one, Amanda, is there.
3:07
Speaker 5: Okay, absolutely, you know that, all right?
3:10
Speaker 3: Mayor So first of all, I guess off the top,
3:13
Speaker 3: we need to remind folks that the celebration for the
3:15
Speaker 3: city of Hurricane is in a new It's in a
3:18
Speaker 3: new place. Talk about that new place.
3:20
Speaker 5: Yeah, it's at our Hurricane Bridge Park, which is which
3:24
Speaker 5: is just right behind the First Baptist Church of Hurricane.
3:27
Speaker 5: There's a huge sign on Main Street that says Hurricane
3:29
Speaker 5: Bridge Park. And if you people have been by there,
3:31
Speaker 5: it's where our four baseball softball fields, the Putnam County
3:36
Speaker 5: Bank Sports Complex is, and our disc GoF and playground
3:40
Speaker 5: and all that. It's a new, fairly new park. It's
3:41
Speaker 5: a couple of years old, but that's where all the
3:43
Speaker 5: events will be.
3:45
Speaker 3: So why why the move? I mean, I would imagine
3:48
Speaker 3: because it's just a better area.
3:49
Speaker 5: Right, it's a it's a better area. We want we
3:52
Speaker 5: want more people to see what, you know, our ten
3:55
Speaker 5: million dollar park. But also at the end of the event,
3:58
Speaker 5: it's it's from five to ten pm. You stay there
4:01
Speaker 5: and you have the best possible view of the fireworks,
4:04
Speaker 5: which is just over on the next ridge line. I
4:06
Speaker 5: mean absolutely, there's no better place anywhere on the planet
4:09
Speaker 5: to watch those fireworks than from Hurricane Bridge Park.
4:12
Speaker 3: And tell us about some of the other stuff that's
4:14
Speaker 3: that's going to be going on.
4:16
Speaker 5: Well, our parade is at four o'clock this year, and
4:19
Speaker 5: it's actually not even like to sign up and that
4:21
Speaker 5: sounds crazy. We'll take sign up until the very end.
4:24
Speaker 5: But four o'clock it kicks off and it'll it'll be
4:28
Speaker 5: down Midland Trail in front of in front of the
4:30
Speaker 5: middle school and down Main Street and end at the
4:33
Speaker 5: at the venue for the for the event. So Main
4:37
Speaker 5: Street and Midland Trail are the best places to watch it.
4:40
Speaker 5: And it's gonna be a bigger parade this year than
4:42
Speaker 5: it was last year. We've had lots of people sign
4:44
Speaker 5: up and uh and let's write to the event if if,
4:48
Speaker 5: if we can do that. I always like this, I
4:49
Speaker 5: always like to say this. Everything we do, please, events
4:53
Speaker 5: we do in Hurricane are free, free, free, and I
4:55
Speaker 5: want to say thank you to There's there's lots of
4:59
Speaker 5: sponsor but our three main Platinum super Platinum Awesome. Sponsors
5:04
Speaker 5: this year Putnam County Bank, Best Virginia Heating and Cooling,
5:09
Speaker 5: and Family Wealth Group. Those three companies have stepped up huge,
5:14
Speaker 5: so we need to thank them and plus all the
5:17
Speaker 5: other sponsors. But some of the free stuff that we'll
5:20
Speaker 5: have huskies, ice cream. I think last year we gave
5:23
Speaker 5: way fifty five hundred ice cream, cones, cotton candy, snow cones, watermelon.
5:30
Speaker 5: There's gonna be plenty of things for the kids, you know,
5:32
Speaker 5: inflatables and slides and games. There's actually be a petting zoo.
5:35
Speaker 5: I think that's your favorite part, right.
5:39
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I love animal not so much on people
5:41
Speaker 3: that I like.
5:42
Speaker 5: Animals, the petting zoo. And we have upclose magic with
5:46
Speaker 5: mark Wood. Everybody, a lot of kids and families, no
5:48
Speaker 5: mark Wood. My favorite thing that's happening this year is
5:51
Speaker 5: there's a hair glam station. We can get our get
5:54
Speaker 5: my hair all glammed up looking good, and and some
5:57
Speaker 5: sand art and put putt and much free fund.
6:01
Speaker 3: All right, hold on, hold on now, now, maryor Edwards,
6:03
Speaker 3: with all due respect, you're gonna get your hair done.
6:06
Speaker 5: Really, I'm not going to get my hair done. I
6:09
Speaker 5: don't even left to get done. But I might, I
6:10
Speaker 5: might see what the what the what the folks can
6:13
Speaker 5: do to my hair?
6:14
Speaker 3: You're gonna get your head done, is what you're gonna get.
6:16
Speaker 3: I don't know about getting your.
6:16
Speaker 5: Hair downe get my head painted? Maybe?
6:19
Speaker 3: There you go, there you go in hurricane in Hurricane colors,
6:22
Speaker 3: in the Hurricane redskin gear. Right.
6:24
Speaker 5: Absolutely, it's all red.
6:25
Speaker 3: You know that. Absolutely.
6:26
Speaker 5: Hey, we're also gonna give away one thousand free uh
6:28
Speaker 5: free Independence Date T shirts as well.
6:31
Speaker 3: Well, that's good, I mean that's and again, if the
6:33
Speaker 3: sponsors are the ones that make this whole thing possible.
6:36
Speaker 3: Uh and if you I know you mentioned the main sponsors,
6:39
Speaker 3: I know you've got a bunch more. Actually shared information
6:41
Speaker 3: about it over on my social media page on the
6:43
Speaker 3: Dave Island Radio Facebook so you can see who all
6:45
Speaker 3: the sponsors are. But without without the sponsors, none of
6:47
Speaker 3: these activities happen.
6:48
Speaker 2: Mare.
6:49
Speaker 5: Absolutely. Now I've got a question for you. Have you
6:51
Speaker 5: ever had a Farley Hot Dog? Oh?
6:53
Speaker 3: Yeah, of course I have, so I know I know
6:56
Speaker 3: you have.
6:57
Speaker 5: So they're sponsoring are It's the Farley's Hot Aughty eating
7:01
Speaker 5: contest at seven o'clock at seven pm and our winner
7:07
Speaker 5: from last year and he's won a few years. Well,
7:10
Speaker 5: his nickname is the Wiener Eater. Okay, everybody needs to
7:13
Speaker 5: come out and watch the Wiener Eater. My friend Jason
7:16
Speaker 5: Dile wh'll he may win again this year. I think
7:19
Speaker 5: he usually teens fifteen sixteen hot dogs in five minutes
7:23
Speaker 5: and it's pretty nat watched sometimes that it's fun to watch.
7:26
Speaker 5: So some of those guys dip the dip the buns
7:29
Speaker 5: and all that and all that good stuff.
7:31
Speaker 6: And that's part of our free live entertainment.
7:34
Speaker 3: Absolutely, yeah, go ahead, go ahead.
7:38
Speaker 6: I'm gonna say. Also, we have a concert. We got
7:40
Speaker 6: to make sure we plug Rewind the Walkman at eight thirty.
7:43
Speaker 3: And I've actually worked some shows MCD a couple of
7:46
Speaker 3: events with Rewind the Walkman. They're a fantastic group. I mean,
7:49
Speaker 3: they really really are. If you like good old party music,
7:51
Speaker 3: good eighties music, and a little bit of retro, they're
7:54
Speaker 3: a fantastic group. I mean the name is Rewind the Walkman,
7:57
Speaker 3: and mayor you and I am a man as much
7:59
Speaker 3: younger than we are, but you and I around the
8:00
Speaker 3: same age. We remember rewinding tapes and we remember Walkman's we.
8:06
Speaker 5: Do we do, And I'm hoping for some deaf Leopard
8:08
Speaker 5: maybe some pots people around town. They said, did they
8:10
Speaker 5: play bon Jovi? I said, I have no idea. I said,
8:12
Speaker 5: I know they play all the eighty stuff and it's
8:14
Speaker 5: going to be awesome.
8:15
Speaker 6: Yep. And of course we'll have some bleachers there, but
8:17
Speaker 6: people can also bring their own blanket, your chairs and
8:20
Speaker 6: set up to watch the concert from eight thirty to
8:23
Speaker 6: ten and then the fireworks start at ten.
8:25
Speaker 3: That's what the thing I wanted to ask is that
8:26
Speaker 3: people needed to bring their own chairs and stuff. I guys,
8:28
Speaker 3: because sometimes.
8:29
Speaker 5: They should, and that you know, they should make an
8:32
Speaker 5: evening of it, even if they don't show up at five.
8:34
Speaker 5: If they show up at say seven, say seven to
8:37
Speaker 5: ten for the event and then stay from ten to
8:40
Speaker 5: ten thirty for the fireworks, they are going to be
8:43
Speaker 5: phenomenal this year, best fireworks we've ever had, absolutely huge, phenomenal.
8:48
Speaker 5: And we will have a shuttle available to to get
8:53
Speaker 5: people back and forth, and Amanda will talk about where
8:55
Speaker 5: those locations are.
8:56
Speaker 6: All right, Amanda, you're on, Yeah, so we've got We've
8:59
Speaker 6: got I'm parking of course there at the event and
9:02
Speaker 6: First Baptist Church right below the event space. We'll have
9:05
Speaker 6: some parking for us. But if you don't want to
9:07
Speaker 6: do all of that and you just want to park
9:09
Speaker 6: and be shuttled the other end of the bridge park,
9:12
Speaker 6: which is on the Midland Trail side, you can park
9:16
Speaker 6: there and the school bus will shuttle you over back
9:18
Speaker 6: and forth all night long.
9:20
Speaker 3: Well that's good. And sometimes people don't want to get
9:22
Speaker 3: caught up in all that traffic and stuff. And one thing,
9:24
Speaker 3: one thing we know about in Hurricane and tays Valley
9:26
Speaker 3: Mayor's traffic, Well.
9:29
Speaker 5: There is traffic and there's nothing, and that's that's that's
9:33
Speaker 5: another another call we can.
9:34
Speaker 3: Yes, that's a running joke between me and you.
9:37
Speaker 5: We're talking about celebrating our end of Absolutely, that's what
9:40
Speaker 5: we're talking about.
9:40
Speaker 3: Absolute.
9:41
Speaker 5: You're not gonna take me down that first.
9:43
Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, not at all not. I'll be
9:44
Speaker 3: you and I are on the same page on that
9:46
Speaker 3: stuff anyway. But I appreciate to you folks being here.
9:49
Speaker 3: And again Mayor and Amanda run over the times and
9:52
Speaker 3: everything for the City of Verriican for the July celebration.
9:54
Speaker 3: In case somebody tuned in.
9:55
Speaker 5: Late yeah, parade four o'clock on Main Street. You can
9:59
Speaker 5: also watch it from the Midland Trail side over by
10:01
Speaker 5: Hurricane Middle School. That's four to five huge parade and
10:05
Speaker 5: then the event all three five to ten pm with
10:08
Speaker 5: all the free stuff, ice cream, cotton, candy, hair, GLAMs
10:11
Speaker 5: and putt all the free stuff. Seven pm the far
10:15
Speaker 5: least hot dog eating contest. You can come and watch
10:18
Speaker 5: the Wiener Eater and then rewind the Walkman concert from
10:21
Speaker 5: eight thirty to about just right at ten o'clock and
10:24
Speaker 5: then the fireworks will go off at ten o'clock and
10:27
Speaker 5: they're going to be huge as well.
10:28
Speaker 3: And you got information available on the City Hurricane Facebook page,
10:32
Speaker 3: I'm sure, and again I shared the I've been sharing
10:34
Speaker 3: stuff on my radio page Day Island Radio as well.
10:37

14:01
Speaker 3: For being here. Lots of big announcements over the last
14:03
Speaker 3: couple of days.
14:04
Speaker 9: Summer is always a really busy time at CRW, but
14:07
Speaker 9: this summer especially, so yesterday we broke ground on an
14:11
Speaker 9: eight point three million dollar ga Apron expansion. And when
14:15
Speaker 9: I say GA, I mean general aviation, So the non
14:18
Speaker 9: commercial flight side of the airport.
14:20
Speaker 3: And why was this important that you needed?
14:22
Speaker 9: Then we are out of parking spots believed or not
14:24
Speaker 9: for aircraft, So that side of the airport supports military,
14:28
Speaker 9: it supports the Bill No Marshall University Flight School, and
14:31
Speaker 9: then all the private aviation that comes in to Charleston,
14:35
Speaker 9: so we need more parking spots. It'll enhance safety and
14:39
Speaker 9: it also is a big stormwater detention improvement as well
14:42
Speaker 9: to that side of the field.
14:44
Speaker 3: And you're listening to what people ask for here with this, right,
14:46
Speaker 3: I mean, and I want to talk about the Bill
14:48
Speaker 3: No Flight School just for a moment. I mean, I mean,
14:52
Speaker 3: this is an incredible thing for this part of the world,
14:55
Speaker 3: and I mean there are a lot of students that
14:57
Speaker 3: are taking part in this. And I will say and
15:01
Speaker 3: we'll be telling you more about this as we get
15:02
Speaker 3: a little bit closer. But in August we always do
15:04
Speaker 3: the paint the Capital City Green event up at the
15:06
Speaker 3: Bill and no Flight School, that's right, and so a
15:08
Speaker 3: lot of folks will be out there for that. Steve
15:10
Speaker 3: Animal from the Mountain and myself will be serving as
15:12
Speaker 3: the MCS again this year, and a lot of people
15:16
Speaker 3: get an opportunity to walk around the aircraft. And so
15:18
Speaker 3: I'm just saying that to say, if you're planning on
15:20
Speaker 3: going to that big event that sells out every year,
15:22
Speaker 3: give an opportunity to see what's going on up here,
15:24
Speaker 3: because there's a lot of exciting things happening.
15:26
Speaker 9: That's right. No pressure to our contractors. Land Corps is
15:29
Speaker 9: working on that project for us, So hopefully by that
15:32
Speaker 9: big green event, you'll be looking at some fresh pavement
15:34
Speaker 9: outside of the Marshall University hangar.
15:37
Speaker 3: So again, one of the things I think is interesting
15:41
Speaker 3: about the airport and about the way that things have
15:44
Speaker 3: happened over the last couple of years. It just seemed
15:46
Speaker 3: like every month there's a new announcement coming out about something.
15:49
Speaker 3: Either it's a new flight or it's these expansions talk
15:52
Speaker 3: about the growth of the airport.
15:53
Speaker 9: The team has been very busy, and this is all
15:56
Speaker 9: due to the support we're getting on the federal level
15:59
Speaker 9: on the state line and from our local leaders. The
16:02
Speaker 9: FAA funds airport projects for airports are size at ninety
16:06
Speaker 9: five percent, so it's a great opportunity for the state
16:09
Speaker 9: to bring in these great projects to expand our infrastructure
16:12
Speaker 9: at the airport and have most of it paid for
16:15
Speaker 9: on the federal level. We come up with the five
16:17
Speaker 9: percent match locally and that we get some help from
16:20
Speaker 9: the state and then we get some help from airport funds.
16:24
Speaker 9: So not only have we announced this groundbreaking of the
16:27
Speaker 9: general Aviation apron yesterday, but today the project for the
16:32
Speaker 9: terminal renovation went out to bid. So that is another
16:35
Speaker 9: amazing enhancement on the commercial side of the airport where
16:39
Speaker 9: we're going to do a improvement of all of the
16:42
Speaker 9: pre security areas at the airport. As you know, it's
16:45
Speaker 9: a very old building, seventy eight years old. It has
16:49
Speaker 9: been updated many times and it's time for a refresh
16:53
Speaker 9: to make it a better passenger experience for everyone who's
16:56
Speaker 9: traveling through the area.
16:57
Speaker 3: And what are some of the things that you'll be
16:58
Speaker 3: upgrading there.
17:00
Speaker 9: Flooring, We're going to do the ticket lobby, all new
17:03
Speaker 9: ticket counters for our airline partners, we're going to enhance
17:07
Speaker 9: the baggage claim area and we're going to include all
17:10
Speaker 9: new flooring throughout. If you've ever had your roller board
17:13
Speaker 9: in the ticket lobby, you know how noisy it can
17:16
Speaker 9: be when you're catching that five am flight because of
17:18
Speaker 9: that textured tile. So we're going to really update it
17:20
Speaker 9: with Torazo. But it's not just aesthetics. This project actually
17:25
Speaker 9: is focused on making it less expensive for airlines to
17:28
Speaker 9: operate at our airport because we're switching a lot of
17:30
Speaker 9: the technology that they use and making everything at the
17:33
Speaker 9: airport much more flexible, so they only use the space
17:36
Speaker 9: they need, un Thus they're only paying for the space
17:39
Speaker 9: that they need.
17:40
Speaker 3: I'm talking to Dominic Grenaria, the CEO of a West
17:42
Speaker 3: Virginia International Yeager Airport nine twenty four to the Dave
17:44
Speaker 3: Island Show on five eighty Live is Brown Team, part
17:47
Speaker 3: by Morgan and Morgan. America's largest injury law firm if
17:49
Speaker 3: You're injured is Forethpeople dot Com. What's some of the
17:52
Speaker 3: new technology that's out there in the world of airporting.
17:55
Speaker 9: So we're going to get into some technical terms and
17:57
Speaker 9: I'll do my best to explain it. But common use
18:00
Speaker 9: technology is the trend at all of the bigger airports
18:02
Speaker 9: that you go to, so you see a lot more
18:04
Speaker 9: digital signage instead of fixed signs for your airline. That
18:09
Speaker 9: means that any airline can use that counter to operate
18:12
Speaker 9: its flight, and that means that they're not paying constant
18:15
Speaker 9: rent on it. So this is the way the airport
18:18
Speaker 9: can work to attract more flights more airlines is by
18:23
Speaker 9: making that technology ready to go so someone can just
18:26
Speaker 9: come in and plug and play if you will.
18:28
Speaker 3: Okay, And again, this technology is always always changing. And
18:33
Speaker 3: somebody one of the previous times you were on the show,
18:36
Speaker 3: somebody has sent a text and I think you had
18:37
Speaker 3: already gone, but they wanted to know about eateries or
18:41
Speaker 3: food and things like that at the airport. Yeah, what's
18:44
Speaker 3: going on with it?
18:44
Speaker 9: So we are actually hoping to add some more pre
18:47
Speaker 9: security options during this renovation as well. Hopefully it's some
18:51
Speaker 9: coffee for those getting there early for those flights or
18:53
Speaker 9: waiting for their loved ones to come in on flights.
18:57
Speaker 9: And then there will also be enhancements of our or
19:00
Speaker 9: post security options when we get to move on to
19:02
Speaker 9: the next phase of the renovation, which will attend to
19:06
Speaker 9: all of the things post the security checkpoint.
19:10
Speaker 3: What as far as marketing the airport, because I mean
19:13
Speaker 3: that's part of what you do. You have a great
19:15
Speaker 3: team up there, but part of what you do. And
19:17
Speaker 3: you know there are those people that say, well, I
19:18
Speaker 3: would rather just you know, drive to Pittsburgh, or I'd
19:20
Speaker 3: rather just drive to Columbus or whatever the case. How
19:23
Speaker 3: do you go about marketing people and maybe changing people's
19:25
Speaker 3: minds when it comes to them.
19:27
Speaker 9: Our marketing team really focuses on the education and focusing
19:31
Speaker 9: on considering how much your time is worth. So, yes,
19:35
Speaker 9: you can you can drive to another airport and you
19:38
Speaker 9: might get a direct flight out of there, but you
19:40
Speaker 9: also have to consider your time to drive there, the
19:43
Speaker 9: wear and tear on your car and your vehicle going
19:45
Speaker 9: to and from parking is substantially more expensive at any
19:49
Speaker 9: of the surrounding airports and the surrounding states. And doing
19:53
Speaker 9: that calculation to realize that it is always a better
19:56
Speaker 9: bet to use our airport, and we also so educate
20:00
Speaker 9: the public and the only way to retain the flights
20:04
Speaker 9: we have and attract.
20:05
Speaker 3: More direct flights is if people use what we have.
20:09
Speaker 9: The airlines can see where your home zip code is,
20:12
Speaker 9: so if they see a ton of West Virginia zip
20:15
Speaker 9: codes traveling out of other states airports, They're going to say, well,
20:18
Speaker 9: we're not losing their business. They're just driving someplace else
20:21
Speaker 9: to get the flight, and that only hurts the airports
20:24
Speaker 9: in our state.
20:25
Speaker 3: The Dave Allen showing five aniline brought to you in
20:26
Speaker 3: part by Bridge Valley offering custom tailored trainings to supply
20:29
Speaker 3: of skilled graduate set apprenticeships for your company. Visit Bridge
20:32
Speaker 3: Valley dot EEDU had a text here somebody ask about
20:35
Speaker 3: the other plans to update the bathrooms.
20:37
Speaker 9: Yes, so bathrooms are already underway on the pre security side.
20:41
Speaker 9: They should be open in the next few weeks, which
20:43
Speaker 9: is going to be great. They are modeled after all
20:46
Speaker 9: the refreshed bathrooms that the highway rest stops. If you've
20:49
Speaker 9: been into the Beckley rest stop, they're going to look
20:51
Speaker 9: very similar. We also added a second bag belt already
20:55
Speaker 9: as part of this project that is already open and operational,
20:59
Speaker 9: so that's enhanced seeing the passenger experience as well. And
21:03
Speaker 9: then everything is going to look very fresh and brand new.
21:07
Speaker 9: But we're also going to have an opportunity to focus
21:09
Speaker 9: on bringing in really West Virginia products and materials and art.
21:15
Speaker 9: We are going to do a big push to get
21:17
Speaker 9: some local West Virginia art into that.
21:20
Speaker 3: Well that would be awesome. I mean, so with that way,
21:21
Speaker 3: when people come in here, they say, well, we're in
21:23
Speaker 3: West Virginia. Now that's right for sure. Texa says how
21:26
Speaker 3: wide are airplane seats and how do you go about
21:29
Speaker 3: getting seat belt extenders?
21:31
Speaker 9: So every airline has a different spec on their seats.
21:35
Speaker 9: I encourage the texture to go to their particular airlines
21:38
Speaker 9: website for full dimensions because it'll vary on the aircraft.
21:41
Speaker 9: And if you ask your flight attendant when you're boarding
21:43
Speaker 9: the aircraft for that seat belt extender, they will help
21:46
Speaker 9: you out with that, no problem.
21:47
Speaker 3: Well before we let you go, because the questions we
21:50
Speaker 3: always get and probably the questions that you most get,
21:53
Speaker 3: I mean, the updates and all this other stuff is
21:55
Speaker 3: very important. But people want to know what about new flights?
21:57
Speaker 3: What about that? What are you adding any plans at
22:02
Speaker 3: this time?
22:03
Speaker 9: Anything you can tell, So I'll put it that way,
22:04
Speaker 9: So Dave, I encourage those folks that send you those
22:08
Speaker 9: text messages to follow along on our social media at
22:11
Speaker 9: fly CRW. We are going to have some exciting announcements
22:15
Speaker 9: within the coming weeks and hopefully I can come back
22:18
Speaker 9: and chat through them once they're out. But I also dave,
22:21
Speaker 9: they won't let me back into the airport if I
22:23
Speaker 9: don't tell all of your listeners that it is fourth
22:26
Speaker 9: of July travel week. So we encourage all of our
22:29
Speaker 9: passengers that might be flying through to check to make
22:33
Speaker 9: sure they have that real ID, which we've talked about
22:35
Speaker 9: quite a bit, and also to check with their airline
22:37
Speaker 9: before traveling to the airport. They're expecting quite a bit
22:42
Speaker 9: of weather unfortunately.
22:43
Speaker 3: So that was a major problem last week. I mean,
22:47
Speaker 3: my co host Amanda Baron was flying back from Florida,
22:50
Speaker 3: and so I think she was delayed, like by twenty
22:51
Speaker 3: four hours by the time that she was flying.
22:54
Speaker 9: It has been a very active thunderstorm season. So we
22:57
Speaker 9: encourage everybody, like I said, to check with their airline
22:59
Speaker 9: before traveling to the airport and pack their patients, and again,
23:04
Speaker 9: always show up a little bit early to the airport
23:06
Speaker 9: for those TSA lines that might be a little bit
23:08
Speaker 9: longer than usual.
23:09
Speaker 3: And how has the whole real ID thing gone.
23:11
Speaker 9: Actually very smoothly. We are all very pleased with how
23:15
Speaker 9: TSA has really staffed up to handle having to do
23:19
Speaker 9: a little bit of extra screening for those who might
23:21
Speaker 9: not have that real idea yet, but they've had a
23:25
Speaker 9: great experience at our airport as far as being able
23:27
Speaker 9: to get out without huge delays.
23:30
Speaker 3: All right, Tominie, is always a pleasure to have you
23:32
Speaker 3: on the show. And a happy, happy Independence Day for
23:36
Speaker 3: you and your family and where you may be going
23:38
Speaker 3: or if you just stay in here, that's all.
23:39
Speaker 9: It's all good too, staying here and getting to enjoy
23:41
Speaker 9: the regatta this year.
23:42
Speaker 3: Very excited. We gotta kicks off tomorrow of course, a

28:30
Speaker 3: going to be here in studio with us. I got
28:33
Speaker 3: several things we're going to talk to mister Manchin about,
28:37
Speaker 3: possibly his take on The Big Beautiful Bill and what
28:40
Speaker 3: he's doing outside and does he miss Washington. I'm gonna
28:43
Speaker 3: go ahead answer that for you. The answer is no,
28:46
Speaker 3: because he's the one that famously said that it sucked.
28:49
Speaker 3: But maybe he does just a little bit. Then what's
28:51
Speaker 3: Joe been up to in the private sector as well.
28:53
Speaker 3: He'll be joining us on the show today. Also Taylor Richmond,
28:57

29:04
Speaker 3: He's going to celebrate it with me during the two
29:06
Speaker 3: o'clock hour on Metro News at midday. And sadly we
29:10
Speaker 3: lost a member of the Greatest generation. His name was
29:13
Speaker 3: Julian Sockman and he just passed away at the age
29:16
Speaker 3: of one hundred and two. He was a veteran the
29:19
Speaker 3: Battle of the Bulge and of interest to me, he
29:23
Speaker 3: was believed to be the oldest living graduate of Marshall
29:28
Speaker 3: University and so we got some folks from his family
29:31
Speaker 3: that he will joined us. I had an opportunity to
29:32
Speaker 3: meet him a couple of years ago. I was talking
29:34
Speaker 3: with Dominique about about to paint the Capital city green
29:38
Speaker 3: event the annual Marshall event up at the bill No
29:40
Speaker 3: Flight School at the airport, and that's where I first
29:43
Speaker 3: met mister Simon. He never missed the event and he
29:47
Speaker 3: was there and I got to meet him and shake
29:48
Speaker 3: his hand, to talk to him and just a life
29:52
Speaker 3: well lived. And he passed away it again at the
29:54
Speaker 3: age of one hundred and two, and so some of
29:56
Speaker 3: his family members are going to join us to talk
29:58
Speaker 3: about his life on the show, and of course we'll
30:00
Speaker 3: do open line. West Virginia Metro News Midday is powered

Speaker 3: many other Metro news stations Bigley Pigli Wiggly Hotline three

Speaker 3: zero four three four five fifty eight fifty eight. Tony
30:11
Speaker 3: of the Taylor Text three zero four nine three five
30:14
Speaker 3: five zero zero eight. So a couple of things in
30:16
Speaker 3: the news here yesterday, The big beautiful bill passed the
30:20
Speaker 3: Senate and now ahead to the House, and I'm we're
30:22
Speaker 3: going to get into this a little bit more on
30:24
Speaker 3: Midday with a few of our guests today, including Tom
30:26
Speaker 3: Sussman and also Senator I'm always going to call him
30:30
Speaker 3: Senator Mansion. And but you know, there were some questions
30:35
Speaker 3: as far as the as the timing goes. The bill
30:40
Speaker 3: passed the Senate with the breaking with with the tire
30:44
Speaker 3: breaking vote cast by Vice President JD. Vance and shortly thereafter,
30:49
Speaker 3: Senator Shelley Moore Capito, who of course was a yes vote,
30:53
Speaker 3: announced that the Trump administration would like to have her
30:56
Speaker 3: son More Capito as the US Attorney for the Southern District.
31:00
Speaker 3: The timing of that coming with somewhere like thirty minutes
31:06
Speaker 3: or so on the Senate vote seemed odd to some,
31:11
Speaker 3: but let's be honest here, Okay, Senator Capito was going
31:16
Speaker 3: to be a yes vote no matter what, and more
31:19
Speaker 3: Capito was going to get that ask from the Trump
31:23
Speaker 3: administration no matter what. So I really I don't think
31:27
Speaker 3: there's been much to do about it. I know the
31:29
Speaker 3: news broke just after we just started Metro News midday yesterday,
31:32
Speaker 3: and that news broke, and of course the tax line
31:34
Speaker 3: lit up with it. And if you've checked out your
31:37
Speaker 3: social media over the last almost twenty four hours now,
31:41
Speaker 3: since those two things happened, in people saying that you know,
31:47
Speaker 3: a deal was struck, what look I mean, Senator Shelley
31:51
Speaker 3: Moore Capita was going to be a yes vote, no
31:53
Speaker 3: matter what. If more Capita wasn't her son, if his
31:56
Speaker 3: name was mor Smith, she was still going to be
31:59
Speaker 3: a yes vote on that. And it's been widely rumored
32:04
Speaker 3: for some time that more Capital was going to be
32:06
Speaker 3: tapped by the Trump administration to possibly, if he's confirmed,
32:09
Speaker 3: get that appointment to that US Attorney seat for the
32:14
Speaker 3: Southern District. So I really don't think that the two
32:17
Speaker 3: had anything to do with each other, to be honest
32:19
Speaker 3: with you, because again, if there had been a question
32:23
Speaker 3: as to whether Senator Capita would be a yes vote
32:26
Speaker 3: on that yes or no vote, I think maybe, but
32:31
Speaker 3: it was gonna have Both of those things were going
32:32
Speaker 3: to happen regardless. So I really don't think the two
32:37
Speaker 3: of those things had anything to do with each other.
32:40
Speaker 3: I will say this though, and this is strictly the
32:44
Speaker 3: pr guy coming out in me and the optics coming out.
32:48
Speaker 3: I might and I'm not trying to question the people
32:52
Speaker 3: with the Senator capitol Camp, I might have done things
32:55
Speaker 3: a little bit differently. Nobody they didn't ask my opinion,
32:57
Speaker 3: By the way, if I were involved, I am. I
33:01
Speaker 3: had time that a little differently, just saying but again,
33:06
Speaker 3: the two things are absolutely unrelated. Again, Shelley was going
33:12
Speaker 3: to be a yes vote, more Capital was going to
33:13
Speaker 3: get that appointment, or at least a chance of that appointment.
33:16
Speaker 3: So in the words, if you're going to say that
33:18
Speaker 3: there was a deal struck or whatever, in the words
33:20
Speaker 3: of my good friend Pastor Marlon Collins, missed me with
33:24

33:56
Speaker 3: some text here. Text says, well, well, well, state workers
34:01
Speaker 3: get the day off on July third. I guess patty
34:04
Speaker 3: boy found some money after scrooging the Juneteenth holiday. It
34:09
Speaker 3: looks bad, Governor Morrissey. This looks like number This is
34:13
Speaker 3: the text number one that you don't care about government hierarchy.
34:17
Speaker 3: Number two you don't care much for black people, and
34:19
Speaker 3: number three you We don't really need the personal insults here,
34:26
Speaker 3: but it basically it says you're looking for approval from
34:28
Speaker 3: people who think you're the best worst option. That was
34:31
Speaker 3: the other thing of note in this whole thing. So
34:40
Speaker 3: in case you're not familiar with the story. Late yesterday afternoon,
34:42
Speaker 3: the governor announced that tomorrow, July third, will be a
34:47
Speaker 3: state holiday, so state workers will get tomorrow off as
34:51
Speaker 3: well as Friday and returning to work on Monday. Where
34:55
Speaker 3: the issue here seems to be the that federal holiday
35:02
Speaker 3: on June teenth was not given as a day off
35:05
Speaker 3: and a lot of people are upset about that. And
35:08
Speaker 3: again going back to social media, if you go back
35:10
Speaker 3: and look at social media feed, you'll see that it's
35:14
Speaker 3: simply in my opinion, and again just my opinion, I
35:18
Speaker 3: would much rather hear yours. It's just not a good
35:23
Speaker 3: look from an optic standpoint from the governor's office. And
35:29
Speaker 3: it begs the question if if it was going to
35:33
Speaker 3: be an issue of money, as the governor said, and
35:37
Speaker 3: work productivity, taking the holiday off in Juneteenth, which is
35:42
Speaker 3: a federal holiday, why is it suddenly okay now? And
35:49
Speaker 3: I just I think it's a I think it's an
35:53
Speaker 3: optics issue. And again that's the pr guy talking to me.
35:56
Speaker 3: I just can't. I just don't think it looks good, Governor.
36:01
Speaker 3: And it seems to me that sometimes Republicans can't get
36:07
Speaker 3: out of their own way. Uh, they get all this
36:10
Speaker 3: power now in Charleston. And I mean West Virginia is
36:17
Speaker 3: obviously a red state. It's Trump state. That's not going
36:20
Speaker 3: to change anytime soon, no matter how many protests you
36:22
Speaker 3: have whatever. And people on social media saying, I, well,
36:25
Speaker 3: remember this now, it's not going to make a difference.
36:27
Speaker 3: It's not going to make We want to encourage everybody
36:29
Speaker 3: to vote, but it's not going to make a difference whatsoever.
36:32
Speaker 3: I just don't. I just thought when I saw that
36:35
Speaker 3: announcement come down yesterday from the Governor's office, I thought, uh,
36:37
Speaker 3: oh this this is not good. And you kind of
36:42
Speaker 3: put that with the timing of the Shelley Moore Capitol announcement,
36:46
Speaker 3: and look, she's very proud mom. I I and I
36:50
Speaker 3: have no doubt, one hundred percent understand that. And I
36:52
Speaker 3: have no doubt that if he is named to that
36:54
Speaker 3: position that more Capitol will do a great job in that.
36:58
Speaker 3: I just I think maybe maybe Republicans need a director
37:05
Speaker 3: of Optics and for some and I'm not applying for
37:09
Speaker 3: the job, by the way, uh and maybe somebody to say, yeah,
37:11
Speaker 3: you know, that's that's not a good look. It's not
37:16
Speaker 3: a good look. Tex says people who think Capito engaged
37:20
Speaker 3: in quid pro crow. I always have difficulty with that
37:23
Speaker 3: quid pro quote. Are left wing conspiracy theorists on the
37:27
Speaker 3: same level as the wackos who believe and they stop
37:30
Speaker 3: the steel foolishness. They're all the same as a texture.
37:36
Speaker 3: Texas says, being a suck up doesn't suit you. I
37:39
Speaker 3: don't know that I was sucking up to anybody. I'm
37:42
Speaker 3: just saying that if I if I were in the
37:45
Speaker 3: Capitol camp, I probably wouldn't have, you know, made that
37:48
Speaker 3: announcement at that time. Uh, but not being a suck
37:52
Speaker 3: I mean shelleymore Capito was gonna be. Was there ever
37:54
Speaker 3: a doubt that Shelley Moore Capito was not going to
37:55
Speaker 3: vote for that, or Jim Justice for that matter, or
37:58
Speaker 3: Carol Miller or Riley Moore's That's there was never in question. Okay,
38:03
Speaker 3: you knew who we're going to be. The no votes.
38:05
Speaker 3: We all knew that, and you can probably count the ones,
38:09
Speaker 3: although there'll be more of them that are going to
38:11
Speaker 3: be no votes in the House. And I just I
38:14
Speaker 3: just don't I don't see that the two things, those
38:16
Speaker 3: two things go go like like a deal was struck
38:20
Speaker 3: or whatever. No, I don't buy that. I'm sorry, tex
38:24
Speaker 3: says it's so nice of you to excuse obvious nepotism
38:27
Speaker 3: and cronyism. Uh More, Capito has never handled a criminal
38:32
Speaker 3: case in his life, although criminals run his family only
38:36
Speaker 3: in a whites are okay As DEI hires Republicans of
38:40
Speaker 3: no integrity or honor. Texas Day, I voted for capitol
38:46
Speaker 3: and justice, and I'm ashamed of what they have done
38:48
Speaker 3: to the people of our states. They choose party above
38:51
Speaker 3: people and what made it worse? Which your son was
38:53
Speaker 3: chosen as US attorney after the votes were in? Well
38:56
Speaker 3: not yet. He's not there yet, uh Texas. Dave you,
39:01
Speaker 3: like me or a guy of a certain age, do
39:02
Speaker 3: you struggle to use Trump speak without laughing? Terms like
39:05
Speaker 3: big beautiful Bill or that missile defense thing he wants
39:08
Speaker 3: to build the Golden Dome. Do you just think to yourself,
39:11
Speaker 3: how do people take this guy seriously? Just wondering? Yeah, yeah,
39:16
Speaker 3: sometimes I think that. I think that. However, however, textures
39:24
Speaker 3: like that and me are are in the minority. West
39:27
Speaker 3: Virginia is a Trump state. It's not going to change
39:29
Speaker 3: anytime soon at all, and we are in a minority.
39:36
Speaker 3: Texais but why do they vote for it? How does
39:38
Speaker 3: it benefit West Virginia? What many people think it does
39:40
Speaker 3: benefit West Virginia. Have had people on the show that
39:42
Speaker 3: have talked about it benefiting West Virginia, and many people
39:44
Speaker 3: say it won't. Texas, Shelley had doubts till Trump threatened
39:52
Speaker 3: primary dissenters or tail tucked and more got appointed. Yeah,
39:56
Speaker 3: I just I can't. I can't really go along with
39:58
Speaker 3: that because I mean, I'm sorry, with all due respect
40:01
Speaker 3: to some people that have alread announced, nobody beat Shelley
40:03
Speaker 3: Moore Capital in the next election. Not gonna happen. Write
40:06
Speaker 3: it down. I done, as my grandma would say, I done,
40:08
Speaker 3: took and told you texta Dave, you're right on about
40:12
Speaker 3: Morrissey and the holidays. Again, just I don't care who
40:15
Speaker 3: to I'm taking off tomorrow, but not because it's July third.
40:18
Speaker 3: I had this date on the calendar my first day
40:20
Speaker 3: off I think since September. And that's of my own doing.
40:23
Speaker 3: By the way, that's not the fault of WVRC Media Charleston.
40:26
Speaker 3: That's of my own doing. But I bet I worked juneteenth.

44:34
Speaker 3: Ninety percent wanted a representatives vote against it. This bill.
44:39
Speaker 3: Why did they do what they've done? Well, you know,
44:42
Speaker 3: I will say this, I don't. I think that's too
44:45
Speaker 3: hot because I think there were a lot of people
44:48
Speaker 3: that texted the show. Maybe they weren't as vocal because
44:53
Speaker 3: I think the opposition to the big beautiful bill were
44:56
Speaker 3: very vocal. We had seen we had more people who
44:59
Speaker 3: asked to be on this show or Metro News Midday
45:02
Speaker 3: that were against the bill, but there were a lot
45:05
Speaker 3: of people that were for, including a lot of people

Speaker 3: in this state appreciate the text though text says, you

45:27

45:33
Speaker 3: say someone has died in a shooting in the fifteen
45:35
Speaker 3: hundred block of Lewis Tree that happened just before eleven
45:37
Speaker 3: o'clock last night. That investigation continues, all right, TJ. Meadows here,
45:41
Speaker 3: it's nine fifty two, a host of Metro News talking
45:45
Speaker 3: along with Dave Wilson. So that question that the text
45:47
Speaker 3: a asked about the new physical year again, So come on, man,
45:52
Speaker 3: I gotta find it. I'm that guy. I want to
45:55
Speaker 3: make sure I answer it.
45:56
Speaker 5: Chris.
45:57
Speaker 3: Basically what they're saying was, and of course you can
45:59
Speaker 3: never find any thing when you are looking for it.
46:01
Speaker 3: It's a new fiscal year year, Yeah, I went, and
46:04
Speaker 3: so why would I can't find it?
46:08
Speaker 14: So basically they're asking about the two different pots of money, right, Yeah,
46:11
Speaker 14: that's exactly what.
46:12
Speaker 3: Okay, So maybe.
46:13
Speaker 14: We couldn't afford it in June when we were trying
46:16
Speaker 14: to end the year, versus it's a fresh year now,
46:20
Speaker 14: so maybe we can afford it now, I think would
46:22
Speaker 14: probably be the essence of the question. And you know,
46:24
Speaker 14: budget is different from cash flow number one, number two.
46:29
Speaker 14: We just ended the fiscal year with more than two
46:32
Speaker 14: hundred million, what was it, two fifty fifty million dollars
46:36
Speaker 14: in surplus. You had all the money in the world
46:40
Speaker 14: available if you wanted to take June teenth. I actually
46:44
Speaker 14: inquired with the Governor's office yesterday. I put a request
46:48
Speaker 14: in asking what the daily total wage cost for the
46:52
Speaker 14: state of West Virginia was because I wanted to back
46:55
Speaker 14: into the math to see what giving an unplanned holiday,
46:58
Speaker 14: because think about it, we planned for twelve state holidays,
47:01
Speaker 14: and I figured average person gets two weeks vacation, right,
47:04
Speaker 14: so there's roughly two hundred and thirty eight productive working
47:07
Speaker 14: days in the state of West Virginia that our employees
47:10
Speaker 14: have to undertake. I wanted to know what one of
47:12
Speaker 14: those costs. The response I got back was why.
47:18
Speaker 3: Why? Why?
47:19
Speaker 14: They asked me why I wanted that. At that point,
47:22
Speaker 14: I just started doing some math on my own. And
47:25
Speaker 14: you can't normalize the numbers because WVU and Marshall highly
47:28
Speaker 14: inflate them in what is publicly available but highways. For instance,
47:32
Speaker 14: two hundred and seventy five million dollars is what we
47:34
Speaker 14: paid total compensation salaries for highways, divided by two hundred
47:39
Speaker 14: thirty eight working days. It costs one point one five
47:42
Speaker 14: to five million dollars in change for us to give
47:46
Speaker 14: everyone in the highway's department a day off. So you
47:50
Speaker 14: can back into the numbers from there and see. But
47:54
Speaker 14: at any point, you know, if it's if it's about finances,
47:57
Speaker 14: you had two hundred and fifty million dollars in surplus
47:59
Speaker 14: the last fiscal year in June. You have no surplus
48:04
Speaker 14: now because you're just starting the year. So the greater
48:07
Speaker 14: uncertainty would be in the July third that you just
48:11
Speaker 14: gave off from a fiscal perspective anyway, more so than
48:14
Speaker 14: what it would have been for Jim teenth.
48:16
Speaker 3: Here here was the exact text. I finally found it. It said,
48:18
Speaker 3: to the June teenh textra complaining about money, July first
48:21
Speaker 3: is a new fiscal year, new money about That's that
48:24
Speaker 3: was the exact word.
48:24
Speaker 14: Yeah, but you don't have new money abounds, but you
48:26
Speaker 14: don't have a built up surplus yet you had a
48:29
Speaker 14: built up surplus in the last fiscal year.
48:32
Speaker 3: Okay, you get what I'm going You have a bunch
48:35
Speaker 3: of uncertainty. I get I get it, And do you
48:37
Speaker 3: agree with me? And if you don't, that's fine, But
48:39
Speaker 3: do you agree with me that two announcements within a
48:45
Speaker 3: few hours of each other yesterday not not good optics,
48:49
Speaker 3: not good optics at all, not good optics director of optics. Yeah,
48:53
Speaker 3: that's what they need.
48:54
Speaker 14: You have to think these things through, and you also
48:56
Speaker 14: have to think, you know, not giving June tenth and
48:59
Speaker 14: giving I.
49:00
Speaker 3: Think you ought to get both. Personally, I have no
49:01
Speaker 3: problem with both. Let's be clear. Yeah, I don't care
49:04
Speaker 3: when people working with I'm working of that or just yeah,
49:08
Speaker 3: you open yourself up to all these criticisms. Maybe that's
49:10
Speaker 3: what they want. Maybe they want that debate. Well, and
49:13
Speaker 3: and I think that you and I talked about this
49:15
Speaker 3: once before when they talked about June teenth being a holiday,
49:17
Speaker 3: people said, you know that it's a woke holiday or whatever. Well,
49:22
Speaker 3: Texas was the first to do it. And you know
49:24
Speaker 3: that that liberal, that vast liberal wasteland known as Texas.
49:28
Speaker 14: Deep in the heart of Texas, they're liberals down there. No,
49:30
Speaker 14: I don't think so.
49:31
Speaker 3: Once you get outside of Austin, nance would probably be no, no, no,
49:34
Speaker 3: not at all.
49:35
Speaker 14: So I mean, look, you know, if you don't want
49:38
Speaker 14: the headache, optics become very very important, and you need
49:42
Speaker 14: to be diligent about that to your point, but if
49:44
Speaker 14: you ignore the optics, it's a fair question to.
49:46
Speaker 3: Say, do you want the debate? Yeah? Do you want
49:49
Speaker 3: the headache? Because once you continuing to run again? Yeah,
49:52
Speaker 3: all right, tex says Morrissey. Used excuse of the state
49:55
Speaker 3: not being able to afford to give June nineteenth as
49:58
Speaker 3: a day off, but now we have the funds to
50:00
Speaker 3: give July third. It certainly is bad optics. But you
50:03
Speaker 3: can take one look at Governor Morrissey, know that he's
50:05
Speaker 3: a man that cares a little about optics. I Look,
50:08
Speaker 3: he probably owned that. I mean, he probably would own
50:11
Speaker 3: that tax and say, no, I don't care what things
50:13
Speaker 3: look like. It's right and it's wrong and whatever. That's
50:15
Speaker 3: probably what he would say.
50:16
Speaker 14: Well, I'm just saying the fiscal argument about June teenth
50:20
Speaker 14: no longer holds. If you finish the year in that
50:23
Speaker 14: fiscal year with the surplus and now you turn around
50:25
Speaker 14: with no surplus and all these days left of uncertainty
50:29
Speaker 14: in this fiscal year and you grant the holiday. That
50:32
Speaker 14: doesn't wash from a business perspective.
50:34
Speaker 3: And again, I hate to keep using that word optics,
50:37
Speaker 3: but again it's the PR guy and me. I'm even
50:39
Speaker 3: wearing my company PR shirt today, although that was just
50:43
Speaker 3: a coincidence. Consistency. Yeah, yeah, it ain't hard man, unless
50:49
Speaker 3: you want the debate. Well, anyway, what's coming up on
50:53
Speaker 3: talk line it I know you're going to continue some
50:55
Speaker 3: of this conversation what you got on talk line.
50:56
Speaker 14: So Eric Nelson, speaking of numbers, Secondary revenue, joins us
51:00
Speaker 14: at ten oh six. We got those numbers in yesterday.
51:01
Speaker 14: He's going to break down the last fiscal year. We'll
51:03
Speaker 14: look ahead to this fiscal year. Understand where the state's at.
51:05
Speaker 14: Understand that surplus. Figure out what the numbers say, Dave,
51:08
Speaker 14: because I'm a business guy and I like the numbers,
51:10
Speaker 14: and the numbers are less apt to live than anything else.
51:13
Speaker 14: So we'll talk with him. Jason Huffman from Americans for
51:16
Speaker 14: Prosperity stops by at ten thirty.
51:18
Speaker 3: We'll talk about the Big Beautiful Bill.
51:19
Speaker 5: One.
51:19
Speaker 14: Hoppy Kerchival is in the house at eleven o six.
51:22
Speaker 14: He's got a lot to talk about, Big beautiful Bill,
51:24
Speaker 14: Independence Day, optics. The man's going to weigh in on everything.
51:28
Speaker 14: Brad mclhaney at eleven thirty three with the latest news.
51:31
Speaker 3: You dropped the new commentary today.
51:32
Speaker 14: I did drop a new commentary today. You know, there's
51:35
Speaker 14: a lot of names we remember when it comes to
51:37
Speaker 14: the Declaration of Independence. Hancock, of course, you can't miss it.
51:40
Speaker 14: It's right there, Big and Bull, Franklin, Jefferson, Adams. What
51:44
Speaker 14: about the guys we don't hear about Stockton Lewis, these
51:48
Speaker 14: kinds of guys. It was a story. It was a
51:54
Speaker 14: story of despair. These guys watched their homes burned, they
51:57
Speaker 14: watched their families captured, they saw their fortune disappear. They
52:02
Speaker 14: paid the ultimate sacrifice in every way possible. They pledged
52:05
Speaker 14: their fortunes, their sacred honor. You read the last line
52:08
Speaker 14: of the declaration. It's really something to think about. So
52:10
Speaker 14: you can read about the history today at WV metronews
52:13
Speaker 14: dot com and I geek out on that stuff.
52:14
Speaker 3: As we all know. All right, final textins fiscal reason
52:17
Speaker 3: is debunked. Either Governor Morrissey doesn't care much for black
52:20
Speaker 3: people or he wants people to think he's the best
52:23
Speaker 3: worst option to someone like him. I can help you
52:25
Speaker 3: with numbers. The rest of it's up to you, all right,
52:27
Speaker 3: we gotta go. TJ. Meadows and mister Wilson coming up
52:30
Speaker 3: with talk line ten oh six. I'll be back when

52:44
Speaker 3: I will not be here tomorrow. Amy Breedlove hosting the
52:46
Speaker 3: show tomorrow off no local show on Friday. We'll see
