  2025, right by like what, .3%? The expectations were that the

  economy would grow. So now, now mainstream media

  finally, after us talking about it for two years, is saying

  shrinking GDP and elevated inflation puts the Fed in a very
• 13:53
  tough spot. Let me explain to you why that

  is. That's a very critical thing to
• 13:58
  understand and it's not that difficult.

  The feds in a difficult spot because when the economy is
• 14:04
  shrinking, what typically needs to be done with monetary policy
• 14:10
  and what the Fed does is referred to as monetary policy.

  What the government does is fiscal policy with the Fed,
• 14:18
  right? This guy does your old friend

  who likes to print money, Jerome Powell.

  What he does is referred to as monetary policy.

  So when the economy is shrinking, what what the the

  usual course of action is the lower interest rates that

  stimulates the economy and makes money cheaper devalues the
• 14:39
  dollar. The problem is, OK, if they do
• 14:44
  that now, right, cutting interest rates also fuels
• 14:49
  inflation. So typically what happens is
• 14:51
  when the economy slows down, inflation starts to come down so
• 14:56
  they're able to lower rates and they offset each other.

  But now we're in this environment where he.

  And we'll move towards assets that are outside of the Fiat
