Transcript
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: Hi folks.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the episode of Film Study.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_01]: This is Ken McKiesick and we're back for part two of Friday morning GM.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_01]: If you didn't hear part one by the way, but joined of course by my friend at co-host Vostal Rico's here, Vost, we had a good discussion about Cam Jurgen's in that first episode.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, a big role of the dice by the Ravens on this one in terms of draft capital and cap space.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: It sure is, it sure is, you know, offensive linemen or scares.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's hope that this is, that this role is successful, but that was a court to talk and football with you, my friend.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll let's get in there.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I guess we have to start with the injury report.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I hope that doesn't take up basically all the time we have here.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_01]: But it's a long one.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: Why don't you start us through if you have an have it up in front of you.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: So, after the late, I have it here now.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess we'll take it from the top.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: Mark Andrews, hand injury.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: He was full both days.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: We then have Rashad Bateman, sold her injury, limited one day full.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: As a big concern, by the way.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: What is it?
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: That he was in addition to this with all the other wide receivers they have.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, Rashad Bateman quietly having outstanding season.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: And he's done an limited number of targets, but he's at 11.4 yards per target right now.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: And he's making big plays when he gets the football.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: with a hotly under center as well.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: So that's definitely good, hopefully, portans well to this week.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: Clays Campbell with his traditional veteran rest day on Wednesday, full Z-flowers, and now this is being termed a foot limited two days in a row.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: So this is sort of that one more Jackson traveling up and down your leg every week.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: Clip a thing that we experienced last year.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I hope not.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: Kyle Hamilton with a growing limited now full today on Thursday.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: Shrey Hendrickson out with a finger DMP both games both days.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Excuse me.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: Now he had surgery.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think that happened after we recorded last weekend and we weren't sure.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let me stop here, do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or do you think he goes this week or
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, very good, very good, um, geomatic green, encouraging geomatic green.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: Marlin Humphrey, with a hamstring comma calf, DNP today's in a row.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: I thought I heard a snippet from hit one of his social media, things that he does, the P feels confident he can play, time will tell.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: Moving on to the billion-dollar man, Lamar Jackson.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: Inkulundry, it's not a high inkless frame.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a low inkless frame.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: Apparently, it's on the inside of the inkle.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: I've had pretty bad inkless frame myself years ago.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's probably what would have been better off breaking it.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: It was pretty bad.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't feel right for eight months, 10 months afterwards.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: I know he did not participate in practice either of the two days these coaches staff is indicated that the decision to go all the way up until Sunday.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't necessarily need to practice reps with the NFC opponent though.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: There's a prudent to rest, to rest so little more.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: NFC opponent from one perspective, Lamar Jackson is not needed because the Ravens tiebreaker situation is better.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: To lose a game to the Falcons is not a serious to lose a game to do an AFC opponent certainly.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: But on the other hand, Lamar Jackson kicks the crap out of the NFC regularly.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: It would be really nice to have him.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: I actually think what's probably going to happen is that he will be QB3 for the day.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: And so he will be technically ineffective, but could be a guy you could you could call on if you need to do.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, I think that makes a lot sense.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: I've always, since we started this season, I've said exercise caution, flowers are turned, probably before I thought, and I won't continue that because again, we're not chasing the best necessarily regular season record, we're chasing success in the host season, that's why I'm in throw aside.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: Cam Durvins, a newest rate in number 64.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm freaking caution last week.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: He did not participate on Thursday.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: Chris Moore, who was out last week with an ankle injury, was limited on one's day and full on Thursday.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: So he's trending in the right direction.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: John Simpson, what the growing continues to be limited both days.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: Running Stanley with a toe and now they're saying toe slash ankle.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's that good.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, you said a lot of ankle problems.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go back to Simpson for a second, for a second.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: So the offensive line is four guys on this list from the offensive line, but John Simpson was limited limited full last week.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: Now they could, limited just means less than their, the full number of reps kind of thing, the normal number of reps.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: He could again be limited limited full, but I'm disappointed that he's back to limited with a groin for the first two days of the week.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: given the fact that he was full on Friday.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Friday also walk through day at practice.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: They do a lot of very slow motion, learn the dance steps of the plays they have installed that week.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: And it's actually making fun of the entire process as they're on the field sometime.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: Just slow motion or robotically following up with people, but it is important.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: Why deceivers and the lot of the offensive players
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: understanding what your script is going to that game.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but what you could probably say every player's limit that I'm Friday.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: None of them were really going through anything.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: It was.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, growing is linger.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know, actually he looked like he was getting up slow at their couple plays.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know this one play were one of the Titans gotten Henry's face and Simpson play the role for sure, which there is a goal game by the way from the John Simpson this last week, and and that it was another C F I if our call.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think was to see game overall, but he had five highlight blocks.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of that was physicality is able to, I think it's the most by any Raven this year, and there may not even been anybody in 25 who had more than five, but in going through the Jurgen scoring, by the way, if you want something to listen to, he had five and four in two games this year, despite playing like crap, generally speaking.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: So there were definitely plays where Cam Jurgen's is producing at a high level.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: I look forward to listening to that, can you break down the airline and let nobody else?
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so Ronnie, back to Ronnie, now it was a tow, now it's tow slash ankle.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: Is there any advantage to adding another body part?
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: Can't you just say tow and keep the information quiet?
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: Regardless, he was full on Thursday.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: So, and he went last week, which was a question, I think both of us said, I've been to play well enough, give him another, and they rotate it a little bit in a second half.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: Last but not least, Andrew Voorhees suffered a foot injury.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: It was deemed by the beat.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: The beat reporters is probably a multi-week thing.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: It was the excess of what I gathered.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: Did not participate once a positive surprise.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: I have absolutely shocked by that.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: You hear foot injury first of all for an offensive lineman and you start thinking about the worst possible case.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: Is it a broken foot?
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: Is it a list of Frank?
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: Is it the things that really keep you out for a long time?
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what it is that you could be not serious enough to keep you out for an offensive line because if they put a lot of weight, a lot of pressure on that foot as they interact with other large men down there in the pit for every place.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: those injuries are serious and I would expect that he wouldn't in the back, but you look at who the Ravens have to activate the roster.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: They just don't have eight more bodies at this point and they need it.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: They need the eights guy needs to be able to play.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: If that's 40's great, if it's Chuma Adoga, that might be the other choice.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, even if what he's goes full on Friday, I'd still like to see every Jones give it a nod.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: I like to see what he can do if you can build upon that second half where he proved.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: I just just mentioned that I think he has a high.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't think there's any doubt, by the way, that Jones would be starting at right guard this week as opposed to four he's who's coming back in injury.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: But as an eighth offensive lineman, you know, then the choices are like,
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: Voorhees or I don't believe that Andre James is ready to play, but he'd be a possibility Kyle Hergel is, you know, would be one of the possibilities.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, nothing is really particularly exciting about this.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_01]: I guess Hergel has to really play in some sense just to be a guy could snap the ball.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well of course, you need a guy to snap in case of emergency and it's certainly not as ideal position, but if Ronnie is good to go, which seems to be trying that way.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: If you get really in the pinch, maybe Vince and a guard just to get you through break glass case of emergency, just to get you through it's probably a better option than than these other guys, even though it's not a natural position.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know about that.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: But we would be, I mean, certainly, if you're down to five linemen, no doubt.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Vincent, Vincent, Vincent Mr. Clark, yeah.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're, if you have six linemen, then, sorry, yeah, if you have six linemen, I don't think Vincent is on the card.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: So, Andre James versus Carson Vincent, if you need it, I've somebody to take the finish.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I think he's going to be active for this week, right?
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: So you might be like, no, not who's active.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: I was saying, who would be inserted if another injury,
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying that, you know, other James is not going to be one of the choices because he's not going to be on the eight.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: So the guy who is going to be on the eight would be somebody like Chuma Adoga and then I think, yeah, Adoga goes in a guard before Vincent does.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so I think that covers the injury report, which is very extensive, but we have some the inactives now we want to talk about and we've kind of hit on some of this, but let's start with Joe Fagnano because I think he probably moves up this rig for to to get a actual, uh, he's ahead of Jersey because he's been cuby three so far, but thank you's cuby to this week.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: I take you still and.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: If we think hotly is a starter, but if hotly is not getting it done, and they need to start airing the bowl out.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: Is there a path for Fognana to make his debut?
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: I could see it.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm much not probable, but I could see a path I could.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I mean, it's possible.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I think certainly if Humphrey were to have a game that was just confirming what happened in the second half, and not only what ate for nine in the second half, it seems unfair, but it was a zero point three A dot and that real low yards per,
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: target and whatnot and it's just it what it means is that any penalty is a drive solves a drive pretty much including a five yard penalty and they did it three drive stalled in a second half because of because of you know penalties it was a five of five and a ten that did it you know that just doesn't happen a little more jacks and in terms of of uh of those drives getting stalled so uh yeah you know
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: The seat will start to get hot for a hunt and I believe pretty quickly if you were to have a bad game against Atlanta Yeah, so you know, they're gonna have a whole week to build a game plan for him and hopefully they'll be able to make some things happen with harmony
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we'll see.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: Last week, the last two weeks they directly deactivated me as Peoples.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: I would like to see broader questions deactivated in lieu of, or Peoples play ahead of Washington.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think he gives him more juice.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: I saw a stat, one of those, you know, X, Y axis today, or Washington was one of the worst producing defensive linemen in the league through the first four games.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's my personal opinion, but here's what I'd say about that.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's more likely they would activate all six and that could happen because of lack of, you know, too many walking wounded on the roster up and down and guys they legitimately want to rest.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: More likely they activate all six and in particular because Washington is the more bit better fit to play against the Falcons who are, you know, can be a very extreme run team.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: And you don't want to end up being caught short of defensive linemen when you really want to play a lot of base defense And so Washington kind of makes more sense in that situation now that said you can have your cake and eat it to in a in a week Where you've got all these bodies sitting on the sideline who can't play for various reasons and you can have any of his people's available Just in case you get a lead in the fourth quarter and you want to try and close it out or you want to use him on third down more than than you have so far this year
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that makes a lot of sense, Ken.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'll say a good point.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm interested to see how mentor deploys the front seven this week, facing a Russian app, like Bjum, who Derek Henry said today was, is the piece that I'm, he's the best running back in the league right now.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: I won't try away from it.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: And that's better served on a match-up show or one of your other shows, but you can see some some old school 43 potentially with Simpson and Buchanan.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to see how much did it say.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think it will be 34.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_01]: They have a, you know, they've, they've, they've,
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: In recent years, they've lumped a spread that line of scrimmage and a 34-based defense is okay.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like that the Atlanta post is a lot of receiving threats.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: So it's mostly about what do you need to do to Drake London and then once you've got that figured out everything else falls into place.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: Shut up.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't want to go down off track, but I think this is the perfect game for Nate Whittings to Shadow.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, bring some, bring some Prince Malachi down the box and maybe have Hamilton deep on something.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think it could be a unique game.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: It could be a gimmick game plan.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: And the 2009 AFC World card game at New England, Randy Moss was on the team.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: Randy Moss had had one of his best years.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: And they,
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: It stuck a corner on top of them every play, of course, as they would, but they also stuck and read over the top on that side.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: And that was a, it was a good strategy and, and it worked for that specific case in Drake London is that is what they have as a receiving threat.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: So it's against, I think it would make a lot of sense to try something like that in, in this game.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: I hope we see it.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: I hope we see it.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: Why receiver is the next position of the rostering six, seven, not six, because Lee still and I are.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: His wrist looked pretty good when he was cheerleading on the 7th of the week.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: Get back in there dude.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: So two of these three guys probably play and one sits right when we talk about Z-flowers, Elijah Sarat and Chris Moore.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think it might make some sense of sit-down syrup after those penalties.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: We made one catch, I believe, for about 12 yards, but those pre-stop penalties and two guys are moving and they had to be cleaner than that.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: They just have to at this point of the season.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't, this isn't what we want anymore.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you on that.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think they need a little more physicality among their run blockers.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Elijah really gives them that, you know, the question has been asked of me from one particular guy who's on Twitter about why not.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: In the in the game here, why not activate him?
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: There there are reasons and and I'll just say this one is the Ravens only had two activations and they may need them at other positions, so you'd start with that.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_01]: But but Hillary in some ways might be better than the threat right now in terms of his ability to block and get out there.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Ravens are committed to making the threat graphic work.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: And they have, but they had to rat for three and a half years now and they have by our, you know, millenclature of the thing and and they have, um, uh, I'm sorry, Gillary for three and a half years.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: They have to rat for four years.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: So, um, I think the Gillary for two and a half, right?
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: Because wasn't he worth the selection?
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: No, this is for, he's still joking.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's, he's, he's a one.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was on the practice quite the way or so.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, gotcha gotcha gotcha gotcha.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so let's hope Zay can go, you know, you left the game, you came back another game, Zay is having a tremendous season.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: And the Ravens could really use his explosiveness to counteract.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: Is it?
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: In putting three names on this line, is there any chance Chris Moore sits now these full again, or do you automatically sit surat if Moore is able to play?
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think more give, I think more gives him more, more gives him more, but I mean he caught the touchdown, he's a good blocker, he had some good plays down field, and he's a special team's ace.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think the special team's ability to accomplish that really certainly short in that category.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: So what we're sounding sound engineer is a serrat only plays of flowers is out, but more plays in either situation.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think so.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: So, moving on, can Jurgen's will be out this week with the concussion as we think we know.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I believe that's the case even to be hard on a playbook in three days, even if he was of clear bind.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: So it seems that he's going to hit the, the, the, the bad thing fair enough, Marlon Humphrey.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: Been DNP twice in a row.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_01]: You mentioned sounds like he's confident he could play.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: Apparently he did a political event the other day.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: So how bad can his injury be?
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: Put him into the touch on that.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, without Marlin, I mean, they're really, really thin and boundary.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: You got to dobate.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: We're not to play pretty much the whole game.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Tampa's camp, even return of practice for two weeks.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: Cone can return next week.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's river.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: Cone actually could return this week, but he did.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: So he's eligible to play week five and I do right there.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm off.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm off by week, um, to share, see the boundary, see me three rivers.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't believe so.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think it'll be a or a warrior getting the beginning to move up.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he'd probably be at.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't like it.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: But that's I think that's good.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: Was it a or a warrior?
- 18:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'd read it to the peace squad.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: I must have missed that.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, did he get caught a second time out?
- 18:59[SPEAKER_01]: Let's check this right now.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: No, I didn't know he got added.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know he didn't know.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: They have web and oral waria last night check we're both on the, on the practice squad this week.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: I missed that one.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't touch on that.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: So, all right.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that gives me a little bit more confidence at least they have somebody to your point.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think at some point it could be rivers, but right now rivers set a lot of trouble with big receivers so far and Dallas, in particular, that was a, that was a shortcoming.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, the notion of him playing on the outside scares me a little bit.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with you, Ken, I think some of the works that we noticed in the Preja process are showing themselves a little bit.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Lamar Jackson, obviously, probably not active for the game, but, you know, QB3, a possibility reasonable or or if you're Lamar, would you prefer not to be put in that position where you're listed as QB3?
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's something that's like QB3, why isn't he in there trying to win this game in the fourth quarter if it's close kind of thing?
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, maybe they do try to put it in the fourth quarter.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: So, uh, I don't know.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think I probably wouldn't want to be in that position if I'm a bar rather be cheerleader with the, with the glory and the, and the sorts you don't.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: But, uh,
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: You got to have, I mean, it doesn't make sense to not take advantage of could be three other things.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I think you're right, but when Lamar comes in the game, the other two cannot return folks.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's what that means.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, it's almost like they better be hurt because you don't want to put Lamar in a situation where he has to play hurt.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: he has to continue to play hurt if he entered and got hurt worse.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: So you certainly wouldn't want that.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: And not in truth, they wouldn't do that.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: They'd put their canary at quarterback and strike wildcat or whatever before they think they do that.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: But it was still suck and no uncertain terms.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: No, that makes sense.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, next one, Trey Hendrickson, I'm of the mind that give them another week to let that finger heal.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: You got a sack out of Ethan Burk last week, which was nice to see if there are a lot of near-sex.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's spot with green stepping off last week.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: Tavius has paired up breakout years and Zion's common ones, slowly but surely Zion's common.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're short handed in terms of total pass rush ability.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: I really want to see Hendrickson and Green
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: Green looks like the real deal now.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_00]: Would you take a look at Isaac or Rucker who were on the practice squad?
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: You hadn't, maybe?
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: If it's because the land of Scott is pretty good.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: If you have, if you have enough of that.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so what that rental cry or incredibly Andrew Voorhees is the key player in making that happen.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: Because he's able to go as the eighth offensive lineman.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: Then yes, you can, you can bring up either Rucker or Isaac as a, as a, as another outside linebacker.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that could make some sense.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm kind of now that we're going through the the mechanisms of kind of keep my finish cross that we can go.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we'll fair enough.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: So Andrew Voorhees was the last name on this.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: And he's the eighth offensive lineman.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the guys they have as backups right now are Voorhees, Vincent, and Jones.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: This is once they make the next thing and it'll be this week, it's even for he's hurtable in Vincent.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's really all they have.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: Jones will be a starter.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: James is not available and if Jürgen is not available, that means it's just to get to eight.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: You need to activate her go for he's in Vincent and if they don't then they need another activation.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: So for he's can't go then one of their activations, I think, has to go to Chuma adoga as the eight
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: But it would probably be her goal and the doke, right?
- 22:50[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, because her goal is crap.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's right.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: Her goal is still a practice squad guy.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: I forgot.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: Well, then that requires a restructuring here.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: They've got to make a move to get somebody up for that.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: Or they'd have to make both of the elevations linemen.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: They could do that, I suppose.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a gauntlet right now.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's an injury gauntlet, you know?
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: not make the injuries worse for Lamar or anybody's flowers anybody you got your first original game on tap in week six so that's kind of where my eyes are I'm hoping that they can gut through this with some some you know magic tricks and and and mentors defense step up a little bit all right we got we got um
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: Let me give you this one hypothetical.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: I know we already said Chris Moore is safe for this week, right?
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: In terms of who do you cut from your 53, if you have to make a move to bring up an offensive line then right now.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, I don't know who you do it with.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they've already added Nick Vanette to the 53.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: That would have been a possibility I suppose.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: Right, because last week, they only had 51 on the 53, but they filled the solos is a possibility because Wallace did get brought up for the price for him.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: I would say, what he's, but then you've got injury settlement $2 million or whatever it is, so that's certain you don't cap-wise.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I guess Wallace will also be the one.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_01]: All right, fair enough.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get to the meal bag here, I've got to take a break for that.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: Take a break before that, and we'll be right back.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_01]: All right, and we're back.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk some meal bag questions here.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_01]: We've got a pretty good number here.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to start us off pick anyone off this list and I'll get my tablet ready.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so let's go to Adam Custanzo.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: What is a point of carrying Lucas Scott on the practice squad if we're never going to use him feels like smith going down the perfect opportunity and they turn to nick by net what are your thoughts can.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Fennett, interesting character, has been around for ever, he actually has a pretty fair number of NFL catches and he's also when he steps on the field for the Ravens on Sunday, he will tie the NFL record for the most teams played for in the history of the league with a guy who played the very outset of the league.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: I can only think this guy must have been a real problem till he voss because he
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: Every team had him for about one year, and he's actually the first all pro in the history of the Green Bay Packers as a wider secret at 307 receiving yards, which was good in 1924 and And he still played all pro one all pro one.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I didn't even I would have thought that all pro one would not existed back then, but apparently they had some sort of voting that they are now folded into the all pro rules.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't see your point, you know, when that is experienced, he's probably gives you a higher floor, but I do think that there might be a time when Scott is needed this season.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: We gotta get Henry's, you know, Henry's George Perkary average has not been great the last few weeks.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_01]: He could be part of the solution to that totally agree and I it's not like the Titan blocking has been absolutely terrible But it hasn't been great either and a lot of what they did get was from smite He also hadn't been great either entirely, but it would be it would be it would be good I get a Lucas Scott on the field and and I think he'd be fairly versatile He got a fair amount of play as a receiver this summer too So I think there's he wouldn't be a complete zero there could give you a little bit
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'll go to the next question.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: Kendall Brown says, hey, Kendall, generally like the trade for Kim Jordan's because it potentially solidifies the line moves.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: They get back to right guard and keeps continuity for at least the next year, what it two years where there seems to be more value.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: But why do you think Emory Jones is such an afterthought?
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: Seems like a wasted pick in some regards, and now you kind of double down with a future second, even Voorhees was up off the bench before Emory.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, that's two questions to that son of a row, that favored Voting's Overturns.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: He was drafted while he was injured, that stunted his growth some time and take three years to really get their feet on an eighth of it.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm still holding out hope that Emory's gonna be a positive contributor.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully starting off the line.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: Here we go.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: Jonathan swoop.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: Never upset about a win, observation, mentoring code seemed to be more cautious with injuries, especially big names.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: To me, it seems the same with Lamar in the Titans game.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_00]: This seems to be a drastic change from the prior coaching staff.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_00]: They as a similar example, while your thoughts.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think he is being more cautious, that's probably true.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: I did not seem to be as, I mean, the RAVs now are a dire straits, frankly, in terms of healthy bodies.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: This is the first time it'll really be tested.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: Last year, the RAVs were in the same position and they've been in that position in 21 where they've had too many guys injured at one time to even field 53.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_01]: And they've,
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's rough when that happens.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: So I think, yeah, we will the rubber hit the road 15 and 2015 and it's 25 we want to apply the two worse 2007 and yeah 2007 for sure and 2000
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: And one, the right tackle and Jamal, I was in Greece.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_00]: So I called my dad and I said, hey, how's Shrenny Kim going?
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody get hurt?
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: He said, that was the same name Jamal, but as he said, yeah, but he wasn't lying to you intentionally.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: He just didn't know.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: I said, yeah, he didn't want to ruin my vacation.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: All right, sure enough.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: I really honestly can't tell you anything Jonathan about.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: what effect that Nick Gill was having on this, but supposedly he's, you know, conditioning our cover here within his purview, and this should be something that, you know, was being looked at very closely, but this week is a, is a big deal because they got a lot of guys and some of them have to play to make the Ravens get up to 53 as we've, as we've indicated here.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: I like the approach.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's better to be cautious early on the scenes and long season and the goal is postseason success and if this is going to, you know, there's still a top of division.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: We've been obviously, Munkin has a
- 29:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to show him lots and around.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: Hell of a coach and drop by him in the last couple weeks, but it's a tough division, but we haven't had any division games yet.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_00]: So let's, let's, let's, let's, let's rest the players.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get healthy and let's hit our peak.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: Ravens hit their peak at their stride when they're
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: They play the Browns, of course, including them in this very next week.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: So that's going to be an awfully important game.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: And even if the Browns end up being the Browns at the end of the year and they're six and 11 or whatever, they blow their chance for the top draft pick and they also don't compete for the division, this is still a divisional game.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's tremendous significance, so they've got to win it.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: So, exactly.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, from Jack Form, your thoughts on the performance of the defense as compared to last year to me, the defense has improved, which is not obvious, but still lack fundamentals, tackling in coverage breakdowns.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: And has had trouble getting off the fuel and third down.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: he says he also appreciates the pod and looks forward to hearing it.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Jack.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: Always appreciate the regular listeners.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I would say that's one of the biggest changes out of mentor is a tremendous variation of past Russia approach.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: So he rushed something like 19%.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: five plus and week one and the 19% and week four and in between he had two forty one percent games in weeks two and three so he tries to adapt to the opponent I think we're seeing a fairly adaptable coach in that respect and and I've liked him trying for free runs and there's some weeks when that's all you could do and there's other weeks where maybe he'd be better off
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: But you try and win your 101 matchups as you get them, the very difficult questions to answer in terms of how they deal with coverage is supposed to pass Russian at game like this with a short-handed in a lot of ways.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_00]: Defense has been a mild disappointment to me this season so far, but I think it's probably to be expected.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's a new system, a new staff, Mike McDonald, who's some regard as the top head coach in the whole NFL at this point.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: It took him six months or six weeks, I should say, or half a season, and then wrote, he moved Hamilton to slot, and wrote one was traded forward, and I think they got somebody back from injury, and then the defense are playing well.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think Mark, I start with just having a tough start to the season.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there's any way to show the code that.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_00]: I've also been so disappointed in the productivity of the defensive line, not with my BKD number of standing.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Jones has not been a dominant force that we were kind of hoping for, but there are good signs for some of the young adressors.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_00]: And they got a good button up.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: But I think I just don't know.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: So, Trent Simpson and Teddy Buchanan both playing well to the point where they're squabbling over playing time is a good thing for sure.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: When you have too many players, I think I'd like them to have one more outside linebacker who's delivering at a high level.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: Tavius is off to a reasonable good year.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a phrase that most of it has been wins that have been off-skinned as opposed to direct one on one wins against the tackle.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: But very happy with basically the having green be green of 2026 and having Hendrickson be looking like he's recovered to a previous level of Henderson or closer to it is very positive.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: And then to have the other two guys who are stopping
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: is good.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think they really need to focus on what they're getting from the interior and not they're about to be gay.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: I am so surprised.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's the biggest surprise on the team in terms of what he's given the Ravens' year relative to expectations.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: outstanding outstanding.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: All right, got a fairly long question here from Brendan and his is about multi-roll specialists.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not 100% sure that we haven't talked about this before, but I kind of had it on the side to maybe do as a separate episode.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_01]: But he's talking about, after watching a great video from the All Blacks from a recent, their recent visit to Owing's Mills, I see Tyler loop kicking, sorry, punting, some decent-looking balls, and it got me thinking about whether it'd be worth
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: strategizing for a lower average punt distance slash hang time to get an extra man elsewhere on the roster.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: So you see, basically, you just want one kicker ponder.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's been done for four by the way, folks.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: But then somebody else has to be the holder.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: and he's also suggesting that you might be have a long snapper who would be a regular center and then you could do that too.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's interesting, I do.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: You could say two roster spots, potentially doing that.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that will work in today's NFL.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if anyone is doing it.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: Right, I've long thought,
- 34:43[SPEAKER_00]: Why can't you just train one of the interior offense alignment to snipe?
- 34:47[SPEAKER_00]: Long snap.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, you honestly, you can, you made the point.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: I guess over the summertime, that they get to practice that over and over, without having to worry about offense and defense and drill, well, offensive drills, right?
- 35:03[SPEAKER_00]: So that's really, where do you become a specialized?
- 35:07[SPEAKER_00]: It makes sense in theory, but I don't think it makes sense, practice.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: They are literally on another field.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: The team uses two with a three fields, the team meaning the 50 uses two with a three fields and they're literally on another field all by themselves for most of practice and you always feel bad for them, you know, they're in solitary over there and Randy Brown is usually the only one over there coaching them and and what I think that's the way they may be somebody else over there certainly equipment guys over there chasing down footballs and whatnot.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: But they don't even kick that much like you're limited as a kicker to kicking, you know, maybe maybe a couple of days a week or a certain number of fixed number you're on a pitch count for your total kicks because you know, you don't want to wear your leg out.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_01]: Same thing goes for putters in terms of how many times they use them.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, when they do do special team drills and they do very little of the live drills with everybody, it's mostly done with a jugs gun because they don't want to waste pot and see that kind of thing.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, they just,
- 36:07[SPEAKER_00]: And those spots would go to special course special teamers, right?
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: If you had two more, because you don't have that many, you don't have
- 36:16[SPEAKER_00]: 46 guys that are in a contribute of offense defense, no team really has that, or 47, yeah, 46.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_00]: So I think there was a time when there, I think we talked about this cup up, so there's a time when the rain was at two games, active on game days, scooper to do the kit to do a few goals, and then another guy to do long, long field goals, and kick off.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I think I've, I've set it on three is all right.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's where I am as well.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: One more, one more here, Ken.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: So this came in from Twitter.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: Kidrock 20, a long time, listen to our commenter.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_00]: We appreciate your support.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: Anyone worry that Henry is on pace for over 400 touches seems slightly less effective again this year.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_00]: We're there writing him too hard.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: What is a point of elite if they won't let him touch the ball?
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: So, my answer, yes, I'm extremely concerned.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm legitimately concerned that he's at 89 rushing attempts through four games that's, let's see, that'd be 360, plus another game's recipe.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_01]: But that's maybe about 385.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's an absurd number of carriers.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: At his career, it would be a career high.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_01]: He had 378 in 2020, 325 is as high with the Ravens and this iteration of his career.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see it.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's going to finish with that kind of carry level and I think I feel particularly second half of this last game, it's running him into the ground.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I share your concern completely about that.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think we've seen a little bit of
- 37:50[SPEAKER_00]: Not a lot, but I think you've seen a little bit of Henry aging this year, not as many mistackles, the particular.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_00]: He's never been great at short-artage.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: At a lecture episode, you had there with the splits and how it's been kind of, you know, slowly regression.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: I guess since you came to Baltimore as opposed to where he was in Tennessee,
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think the elixir of this is Adam Randall, and he's going to be back from the Inger Tonel, hopefully in a week or two, and he can get in the mix.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: Can Ali take some carries?
- 38:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but are they, they're kind of to me just throw away carries.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think he can make some plays as a pass catcher.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we've seen, but as far as out of the backfield, carrying the ball, he just, he doesn't really have any special abilities to
- 38:40[SPEAKER_00]: to turn it and if you're offensive line is an opening up gaping hole so you're probably having a negative, but you're not hitting the sense of successful runners for us down.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I wouldn't expect you to have the kind of success rate that a Henry has, but if it's a matter of closing out a ball game that you're up by three scores, no problem.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: Molly should get some carries in a game like that.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: Randalist the guy who is the backup bell cow potential on this on this team and unfortunately they chose to put him on IR to start the year they've neither in neither Cone or his case have they started the practice window and it you know mentors deezing around the language with regard to it when he talks about if they missed their window would be a bad thing
- 39:27[SPEAKER_01]: a gamesmanship in terms of having two guys ready to play at some future time, but not wanting to shoot that shot yet, as opposed to they're really not ready to start practicing.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Hills, Hills, the last couple weeks, Hills, that's some pretty good explosive runs.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_00]: So you want to mix it up?
- 39:47[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to burn on Henry.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_00]: I will let the scene get a better and rest day during the week to be honest, because he seems like he's been up a little bit.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_01]: Just from that makes a lot of sense too.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_01]: And he's still coming and lift and do all those other things, but that would make a lot of sense.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_01]: Always a great fun doing this show with you Vasa.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_01]: Let's tell folks about your new business.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so I have purchased a butcher shop for the known as Dudex, and Essex28 makes Avenue, and we offer custom retail meat cutting.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_00]: One of the services or one of the big things that's becoming more popular is
- 40:25[SPEAKER_00]: whole quarters of beef and sides of beef that we will bring in.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_00]: Hang way from Rosetta Farms Local Farms USD, choice Black Angus, dear, we will cut it to your liking, to your cut sheet, custom cut wrap, and ready for you.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_01]: All right, and we're kind of ordered with that be in terms of poundage if somebody but we're to buy half a cow.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_00]: So a half a cow could be anywhere from about 375 to 400 pounds and we charge 869 per pound of hang weight.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: So if you do the math, it's about half the cost you will pay for a high-end stake from any grocery store and again our quality is better.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't want to know about that.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like what's your, do you know what your slaughterhouse to shelf time is for you for you guys?
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so the slaughterhouse, they hang them in their coolers for at least two weeks, so the excess water evaporates.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's sort of a dry aging process.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: It comes straight to our shop.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_00]: We cut it there that week.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: And so we're talking about three weeks, which is, from what I hear from some of the local stores, they send everything to a processing facility, miles at a different state, and then they send it back,
- 41:46[SPEAKER_00]: So I would say ours might be maybe twice as fresh as I see.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's a stake house in Las Vegas that hangs the age.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's that's a circus circus of all places that's probably burned down.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_01]: Have you ever been there?
- 41:58[SPEAKER_00]: I've got the hanging hanging me.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_00]: I've been to...
- 42:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I've been to SDK in Vegas, which is one of the best steakhouse that I've ever been to.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_00]: And one of the best things I ever had.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: They cut the rip cap off of the revived sold out as an individual steak, which, to me, is the best piece of meal in the entire steer.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_00]: The flavorless, the flavor of the revived with the tennerness.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: Other folks out there, please go ahead and give vases, shop a chance here.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_01]: And use film study band by gmail.com.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate you getting into the second episode.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: We know you're the most loyal listeners of all.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: get that one additional person addicted to the show.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: Really appreciate it.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: I also going to plug the show on Wednesday night with Femiah and Badejo at elephant in the room.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_01]: Please come down and see us there.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: We had a great group there last night of people who were in dramatically engaged with this, including some people you know, who were asking some very difficult questions.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: And we did our best to get back to come on air.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: But appreciate you guys coming down to the show.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: Professor Rikos, this is Ken McEusex and goodbye.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk to you next week on Friday morning GM.
- 42:58[UNKNOWN]: You
