Episode Overview
In December 1900, relief keeper Joseph Moore stepped onto the isolated Scottish rock of Eilean Mòr to find the Flannan Isles Lighthouse completely deserted. The main door was closed but unlocked, the kitchen fire cold, the station clock stopped, and two sets of heavy waterproof coats and boots were missing. Most baffling of all, veteran sailor Donald MacArthur had left his coat hanging behind, apparently rushing out into a raging winter gale wearing only his shirt sleeves.
