- 0:00Speaker 1: Guys, I'm phrasing, why why don't you have any heat on?
- 0:03Speaker 1: I don't have the heat on because we found out
- 0:06Speaker 1: that the the house that we bought, it's really old.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Built in nineteen seventy nine. That's old for California, not
- 0:15Speaker 1: the rest of the earth. Where in California that's old,
- 0:20Speaker 1: especially when the hardware that was put in the house
- 0:23Speaker 1: is still the hardware. Oh yeah, when twenty dude, when
- 0:30Speaker 1: I fixed up my house, I pulled cloth wiring out
- 0:34Speaker 1: of the walls. Cloth wiring is like from the thirties,
- 0:38Speaker 1: My dude, My dude, the heater is from nineteen seventy
- 0:44Speaker 1: nine and was broken. Yeah. Well, didn't you think when
- 0:48Speaker 1: you bought in nineteen seventy nine house, you're probably Oh god,
- 0:56Speaker 1: My wife was like, why won't the downstairs heat up? Right?
- 1:00Speaker 1: It's a little warm, but it's cold outside, and if
- 1:03Speaker 1: you live in Los Angeles right now, you know how
- 1:05Speaker 1: cold it is? All right for la Yes, my dude,
- 1:10Speaker 1: I have two hoodies on it right now. That's so
- 1:17Speaker 1: the HVAC guy comes out, turns it on, goes for
- 1:21Speaker 1: a little walk around the house to try and feel
- 1:23Speaker 1: the heat. I thought you meant he was so upset
- 1:25Speaker 1: at what he saw, he needs to go on the walk,
- 1:28Speaker 1: turns it on right, goes around the house, tries to
- 1:30Speaker 1: feel the heat, doesn't feel it. Goes to check back
- 1:33Speaker 1: on the heater. There's smoke. He's like, what the didn't
- 1:43Speaker 1: you don't you didn't you have an inspector that would
- 1:45Speaker 1: have looked at this before you. The inspector missed this.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I don't know how, but the inspector missed a lot
- 1:49Speaker 1: of ship this time around, the inspector. But the inspector.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I don't know what the fuck the inspector was doing
- 1:56Speaker 1: when inspecting my house, but the inspector missed a lot
- 2:00Speaker 1: of shit. Exactly, a lot of shit, well, a lot
- 2:03Speaker 1: of shit. Tell that inspector. You should call them and
- 2:05Speaker 1: be like, hey, you know, just you know, you missed
- 2:08Speaker 1: all of this ship and that's gonna do nothing. No,
- 2:12Speaker 1: it might make you feel better to be like, bro,
- 2:15Speaker 1: you should have turned the heater on and see that
- 2:17Speaker 1: it was smoking a little bit better review and yelled.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Not only that it was leaking ozone. There's a little
- 2:23Speaker 1: thing called carbon monoxide poisoning, right, well, this is I'm
- 2:29Speaker 1: sorry that this has happened to you. He immediately shut
- 2:31Speaker 1: off the heat. You're you know, you're yelling. I just
- 2:34Speaker 1: want to set I'm upsetting, you know, I just want
- 2:37Speaker 1: to I want you to know that we're welcoming our
- 2:39Speaker 1: audience in and you're kind of screaming at them. Well,
- 2:42Speaker 1: they need to hear this because a microphone, you don't
- 2:45Speaker 1: have to yell at a level that they can hear it,
- 2:47Speaker 1: you know, across the country to adjust. He's right, you
- 2:51Speaker 1: are going to have to adjust to your bad that's
- 2:53Speaker 1: on me. Welcome listeners. I apologize, but one of our
- 2:56Speaker 1: co hosts is very mad right now. He cut the
- 2:58Speaker 1: heat off. Right if it's out the house? Yes, except
- 3:03Speaker 1: four my children's room in our bedroom to roam around
- 3:08Speaker 1: my house it is so cold. Okay, Well, I'm sure
- 3:12Speaker 1: that you're going to buy a new a new heater, right, yes, Zach.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Are you gonna live like this? If you can make
- 3:18Speaker 1: your kids very double of these? Hey, I have to
- 3:22Speaker 1: eat my words, audience. I no, I just want to say,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and I should have learned. I should know this lesson
- 3:30Speaker 1: because so many great shows that I love do not
- 3:33Speaker 1: kick in for a few episodes. Sometimes you're kind of like, Okay,
- 3:38Speaker 1: I'm curious, but I want to see more. You've intrigued me.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I've seen a lot of love for Shrinking Um for
- 3:45Speaker 1: on the on the interwebs. But I got to say,
- 3:47Speaker 1: when this goes live, there will be four little up
- 3:49Speaker 1: of four that will be up, and episode three and
- 3:52Speaker 1: four are really good to check it out. But I
- 3:54Speaker 1: continued because of all the love for Last of Us
- 3:58Speaker 1: episode three, including from Joel and from so many other
- 4:03Speaker 1: people I know, and people on the on Instagram were
- 4:06Speaker 1: like wow. And so without any spoilers, I just gonna
- 4:10Speaker 1: say that that was a really beautiful episode and I
- 4:12Speaker 1: really liked it a lot, and it was an example
- 4:14Speaker 1: of how a show about zombies can be about way more. Yeah,
- 4:19Speaker 1: it's a show about love, all different types of love.
- 4:22Speaker 1: And Joel, I have a question for you because this
- 4:25Speaker 1: because I'm not really on I'm not on Twitter or
- 4:27Speaker 1: Facebook or TikTokers, you know, Jay date Um. What what
- 4:35Speaker 1: was the reaction to it being I'll just say the
- 4:37Speaker 1: obvious that's everywhere, that being a gay couple, because it
- 4:40Speaker 1: wasn't that way, I assume in the game, and I
- 4:42Speaker 1: know that people can get very hostile about these kind
- 4:45Speaker 1: of things. How was the reaction on the interwebs I'm
- 4:48Speaker 1: going to say, very very very light game spoilers. It's
- 4:52Speaker 1: different than the game. In the game, that's hinted that
- 4:56Speaker 1: these two are in a relationship and they just went
- 4:59Speaker 1: all the way. On the show, yeah, well, and in
- 5:01Speaker 1: the game it's so much more tragic. They one of
- 5:05Speaker 1: the characters does not decide to change or evolve at all,
- 5:09Speaker 1: and it causes the other character to grow resentful and
- 5:13Speaker 1: eventually meets his end in a very sad and tragic way,
- 5:19Speaker 1: versus here where it's just such a loving story. I
- 5:22Speaker 1: think the reactions have been mixed and critically it's a
- 5:25Speaker 1: huge success. I think for the queer community it's oh gosh,
- 5:28Speaker 1: it's so wonderful. I'll just say this is no spoilers
- 5:31Speaker 1: if you know anything about this show, but it's two
- 5:34Speaker 1: middle aged men falling for one another and it's really
- 5:38Speaker 1: lovely and it's not something we get to see a lot.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Some of the gamer bros were upset. I've seen ridiculous
- 5:44Speaker 1: comments like, oh, this is a filler episode, or this
- 5:46Speaker 1: doesn't push the plot forward. I would say, go back
- 5:50Speaker 1: and watch the opening and closing scenes and reflect on
- 5:53Speaker 1: what that middle portion is telling you about your two
- 5:55Speaker 1: main characters. I think it's very lovely and powerful, and yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 1: I just wondered because I know that there's been controversies
- 6:02Speaker 1: with the gamer community and thinking that things were becoming
- 6:07Speaker 1: woke and all that sort of culture that I that
- 6:10Speaker 1: I'm not really I'm not really that savvy on and
- 6:12Speaker 1: I know you you are. I just wondered if there
- 6:14Speaker 1: was I thought it was so beautiful. I just wondered
- 6:17Speaker 1: if how how the web responded. You're saying pretty positively
- 6:20Speaker 1: except for obvious exceptions. Yeah, that one small toxic community
- 6:24Speaker 1: is upset. But I don't you're called anyway? Gamer bros?
- 6:27Speaker 1: Is that what they're called. There is a group of
- 6:30Speaker 1: people called gamer bros. I think the gamer bros were
- 6:33Speaker 1: mostly excited about this development and change. The toxic bros
- 6:38Speaker 1: were less so. But you know, there's a group called
- 6:41Speaker 1: the toxic bros. The toxic The internet has a lot
- 6:48Speaker 1: of toxic bros. Yeah, just angry dudes who are like, well,
- 6:51Speaker 1: why do you have to look at gay people? Get
- 6:54Speaker 1: a life? Yeah, we're here. I heard this quote from
- 6:57Speaker 1: this writer Seth Godin that really stuck with me social media,
- 7:01Speaker 1: and he said, I have no interest reading people day
- 7:04Speaker 1: trading their emotions. Oh yes, oh yes, that really landed
- 7:10Speaker 1: with me. I was like, wow, that kind of is
- 7:12Speaker 1: what what what? So much of the internet is people
- 7:15Speaker 1: day trading their emotions facts. That fucking landing with me. Yeah,
- 7:21Speaker 1: get off the internet, guys. It's yeah, you know what,
- 7:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest with you. The internet is great
- 7:30Speaker 1: for shopping. That's really It's like like one and and
- 7:36Speaker 1: you know what I mean, like because now even news
- 7:38Speaker 1: is like where are you getting your news? You know
- 7:41Speaker 1: what I mean, Like, that's the next that's the next.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Well I read on the news, Well where are you
- 7:45Speaker 1: getting your news? Because everybody wants a different point point
- 7:48Speaker 1: of view when it comes. In the spirit of that,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I just want to give a shout out to this
- 7:50Speaker 1: book I'm reading, which will blow your mind and you
- 7:52Speaker 1: guys all have to read it. And if you're a
- 7:54Speaker 1: reader out there, or listen to the audio book it's
- 7:57Speaker 1: called The Chaos Machine. Um. I heard about it on
- 8:01Speaker 1: this a different podcast as The Chaos Machine, The inside
- 8:06Speaker 1: story of how social media rewired our minds and our world.
- 8:11Speaker 1: It's by Max Fisher. You can get it on audiobook
- 8:13Speaker 1: or obviously regular book, but it is blowing my mind
- 8:17Speaker 1: and it's something. It's just it's just really really fascinating,
- 8:21Speaker 1: and and and about exactly what Donald said about how
- 8:25Speaker 1: how the world now consumes news and uh blah blah blah.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Were we are. We are your favorite entertainment source when
- 8:36Speaker 1: it comes to if you're listening right now, when it
- 8:39Speaker 1: comes to news. So I got some news. I finally
- 8:43Speaker 1: watched Black Panther too. Oh oh it was not the
- 8:49Speaker 1: reveal I was expecting. I want to expecting. I thought away,
- 8:52Speaker 1: say Shrinking. Did you watch Shrinking? No? Wow, I even
- 8:55Speaker 1: asked you too. I want to watch Shrinking, the movie movie,
- 9:00Speaker 1: not Shrinking. That's I like to binge. Man, I don't.
- 9:04Speaker 1: That's just how I am. Well, there's four up. You
- 9:06Speaker 1: can watch four for goodness thing. But anyway, but then
- 9:08Speaker 1: by the time I get to five, I'm gonna be like,
- 9:10Speaker 1: come on, man, I need more. A man can only
- 9:15Speaker 1: ask no disrespect, No disrespect to mister Harrison Ford, no
- 9:19Speaker 1: disrespect to mister Bill Laura. I think they both would
- 9:21Speaker 1: feel disrespected. In fact, I'm going to text the word.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I'm going to text the word what's funny. It's like,
- 9:28Speaker 1: it's so hard to get you to watch something, and
- 9:30Speaker 1: I'm like, what if there was a piece of content
- 9:32Speaker 1: that was written by one of your favorite writers and
- 9:34Speaker 1: stars your favorite actor. You're like nope, So anyway, okay,
- 9:44Speaker 1: go ahead with what you did. Watch you watch Black
- 9:46Speaker 1: Panther two. Oh my goodness, gracious man. First of all,
- 9:50Speaker 1: Michael B. Jordan is growing as a star. And when
- 9:54Speaker 1: I say he's grown as a star, he is getting
- 9:56Speaker 1: very very good at it, at acting and touching anger
- 10:02Speaker 1: emotions like in this movie. For those of you who've
- 10:06Speaker 1: seen it, you know, I don't want to give away
- 10:07Speaker 1: any spoilers, but at the time it gets to his part,
- 10:11Speaker 1: holy cow, kill Monger was right. Kill Monger was right.
- 10:16Speaker 1: That's all I'm gonna say. Alert Daniel is our special
- 10:22Speaker 1: guest for the audience. Here. Our special guest is in
- 10:25Speaker 1: the waiting room. Okay, let's bring her in audience. This
- 10:28Speaker 1: is the finale of season seven. And by the way,
- 10:31Speaker 1: some trivia for you guys. I don't know if you
- 10:33Speaker 1: even knew this Donald phase on. This is the one
- 10:35Speaker 1: hundred and fiftieth one, five zero episode of Scrubs. Wow,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I did not know that. I have Luishan five, six, seven,
- 10:42Speaker 1: eight before we got anything, right, Okay, Okay, no, don't
- 10:45Speaker 1: do it. Do it, and then we'll bring in the
- 10:47Speaker 1: special guts seven eight stories about show we made about
- 10:54Speaker 1: a bunch of doctor nurses story. So dado around here,
- 11:05Speaker 1: yeado around. So welcome everybody to the one hundred and
- 11:15Speaker 1: fiftieth episode of Scrubs. It is also the Princess Bride
- 11:19Speaker 1: homage episode, and it's also the season seventh finale. Um
- 11:24Speaker 1: and we've told you that audiences thought it was a
- 11:27Speaker 1: series finale because we didn't know if we were coming back.
- 11:29Speaker 1: It was never intended to be that. And gosh, I
- 11:32Speaker 1: gotta tell you, I really really really enjoyed it. I
- 11:35Speaker 1: don't think i've seen it since, and it's really fun. Well,
- 11:39Speaker 1: this episode is definitely one of those episodes that has
- 11:42Speaker 1: to happen before Kelso gets eliminated from the hospital, because
- 11:48Speaker 1: if it doesn't, it doesn't make sense. Right. So if
- 11:52Speaker 1: this start, if this were the season, this is what
- 11:55Speaker 1: was This is what's crazy about that the writer strike.
- 11:58Speaker 1: It would happen if this were like in the beginning
- 12:00Speaker 1: of the series, I mean the beginning of the season,
- 12:02Speaker 1: like it was meant to be, right, it would have been,
- 12:06Speaker 1: It would have made a lot more sense. But watching
- 12:08Speaker 1: it I'm like, wait a second, they almost kissed. Wait
- 12:10Speaker 1: a second, this is almost wait, I don't understand what's
- 12:14Speaker 1: And then I had to remember, oh, that's right. This
- 12:16Speaker 1: is out of whack. But yes, very funny. Yeah, and
- 12:20Speaker 1: a lot of money was spent. I gotta be the
- 12:22Speaker 1: biggest budget Scrubs episode ever, I think, yeah, easily, so
- 12:28Speaker 1: much special effects, just gluing, uh, Judy and I together
- 12:32Speaker 1: had to cost most of the budgets that would have
- 12:35Speaker 1: been on all of the other end also the monster
- 12:38Speaker 1: and the sets and everything. Before we get into it,
- 12:40Speaker 1: let's bring in the very special guest, the Princess herself.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Everybody all the way from Canada. Nan'll hit the button
- 12:49Speaker 1: and let her in. Let's see everyone if she can
- 12:51Speaker 1: handle if she can get in without any mess ups.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Let's watch Sataray's Daniel. Do I get an A plus?
- 13:09Speaker 1: Is it working? Is everything working? You're recording on your phone,
- 13:11Speaker 1: your headphones are in, we can hear you. I'm so
- 13:14Speaker 1: proud of you. It took seven seasons. It's happening. Yeah.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I've had a little bit of anticipatory technological anxiety. Um,
- 13:27Speaker 1: I felt like it was time that I did it right.
- 13:29Speaker 1: You nailed it. I know. I texted Sarah this morning.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I said, hey, just remember it's eleven am, and she said,
- 13:34Speaker 1: I'm anxious. It was like eight thirty. She's like, I'm
- 13:36Speaker 1: already anxious about being able to get on correctly. I'm
- 13:40Speaker 1: worried about the headphones situation. I was driving the kids
- 13:45Speaker 1: to school and I was like charging. Everything needs to
- 13:48Speaker 1: be charged. The computer needs to be charged, the headphones
- 13:51Speaker 1: need to be charged, my brain needs to be charged.
- 13:56Speaker 1: I am so proud of you. I'm so proud of you. Sorry,
- 13:58Speaker 1: it took seven running out of time, so we really
- 14:01Speaker 1: needed you to get there. Zac. There needs to be
- 14:04Speaker 1: no insult, no sly remarks. No I'm not. I love
- 14:09Speaker 1: you and I'm so happy your dear. And gosh, darn it,
- 14:11Speaker 1: are you beautiful in this episode of I mean you're
- 14:14Speaker 1: beautiful now on the zoom right now, you are so pretty.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I take I couldn't take my eyes off you. You
- 14:20Speaker 1: look so stunning in this episode. That is very kind.
- 14:24Speaker 1: I feel like I had a good director. Before we
- 14:27Speaker 1: get into the episode, let's get into some conversation. Yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 1: have you talked to my wife at all? No? Me? No,
- 14:32Speaker 1: recent since Firefly Lane. Yes, since Firefly Lane. Has come up.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I haven't. I got to see your wife recently a
- 14:39Speaker 1: couple months ago. She told me not to tell you,
- 14:42Speaker 1: but I'm gonna tell you anyway. She won't watch the
- 14:44Speaker 1: second season. She's like, I can't do it. I'm not
- 14:46Speaker 1: gonna do it. I'm not gonna do it. I'm not
- 14:49Speaker 1: gonna do it. I can't do it because it messes
- 14:51Speaker 1: her up too much. Oh, She's like, because yo, dude,
- 14:55Speaker 1: at the end of the at the end of the
- 14:56Speaker 1: second for people, I'm not gonna spoil it. But at
- 14:59Speaker 1: the end of this second season, some unfortunate stuff happens,
- 15:02Speaker 1: and you know, this is fears. This is one of
- 15:06Speaker 1: Casey's fears. This is a lot of woman's fears. And
- 15:09Speaker 1: oh my god, Oh my god, oh my god. When
- 15:12Speaker 1: I tell you the breakdown that happened and the hugging
- 15:16Speaker 1: that I had to do because it was gudge man,
- 15:22Speaker 1: all she could say is gutch, not gutch, not gutch.
- 15:28Speaker 1: For those I don't think the audience knows that that's
- 15:31Speaker 1: that's one of Sarah and the Casey's nicknames for each other.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Good yes, good. It started Um, it started out when
- 15:38Speaker 1: I was in high school, and it's sort of a
- 15:39Speaker 1: weird long story. It makes no sense, but good, um,
- 15:45Speaker 1: isn't gorgeous the beginning it was? It was yeah, sort
- 15:49Speaker 1: of a weird, oh weird version of of that. But
- 15:52Speaker 1: I um, well, you're welcome for the free hugs you got. Donald.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I know, Donald, you should be happy you got. These
- 15:58Speaker 1: were sobbing hugs kind of thing. Doesn't like them because
- 16:02Speaker 1: he couldn't turn them into sexual Yes, this wasn't the
- 16:04Speaker 1: type of hug that turned the kind of hug reverse
- 16:07Speaker 1: cow girl. This was the oh my god, ridiculous. Weren't
- 16:17Speaker 1: things turning to reverse Colgar? Okay, I'll try and do
- 16:23Speaker 1: something next that can be yes, whatever whatever show you
- 16:27Speaker 1: do next, Sarah, can you make sure fans in this
- 16:32Speaker 1: house we're fan there's some fans in this house. There's
- 16:36Speaker 1: some fans in this house. We love you over here,
- 16:46Speaker 1: and so anything you do we watch. You know this.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I love you guys. And that has been fun about
- 16:51Speaker 1: like finally being able to like fly and travel again
- 16:54Speaker 1: over the past a little bit. As I've got to
- 16:55Speaker 1: see you guys. I think we're wearing the same sweatshirt, Bran,
- 16:58Speaker 1: are you wearing Aviator Nation? The shirt is oh my god,
- 17:03Speaker 1: and sweatpants my favorite brand. That's not that's not a sponsor. Guys,
- 17:08Speaker 1: I just love them. They're so cozy Aviator Nation. I
- 17:12Speaker 1: was talking to a friend of mine who knows someone
- 17:14Speaker 1: who works there, and they said it's so soft because
- 17:16Speaker 1: they washed it twenty times first. So there's why. Oh
- 17:19Speaker 1: there you go, so when you get it it's clean. No,
- 17:22Speaker 1: it's so actually soft and cozy. On this one called
- 17:27Speaker 1: the Ninja that has this front thing. You see it,
- 17:30Speaker 1: and I have like it in every color. I don't
- 17:33Speaker 1: have that one, Sarah. They might have this in Vancouver.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Do you have it in black? You should wear it
- 17:37Speaker 1: in black. It's probably best in black. Why, of course,
- 17:40Speaker 1: because it's the Ninja. Oh no, I haven't. I have
- 17:44Speaker 1: it in all sorts of other collies, Sarah. Let's get
- 17:47Speaker 1: into the episode and Donald, it was written by Mark Stegment.
- 17:50Speaker 1: It was directed by a young wait breep. Before we
- 17:53Speaker 1: get into the episode, should we quickly discuss the other
- 17:56Speaker 1: show that we all just watched. Oh, Donald didn't watch it,
- 17:59Speaker 1: but I love No we haven't. Um please talk about
- 18:02Speaker 1: shrinking because I couldn't get but Joelle, you watched it, right,
- 18:07Speaker 1: I watched the first episode. I watched the first episode
- 18:09Speaker 1: with us, Stephanie. We haven't watched the other two yet, Okay, Joel,
- 18:12Speaker 1: you love it right? I love it a lot that
- 18:14Speaker 1: Jessica Williams so good. Sorry, Oh my god. I loved
- 18:20Speaker 1: it so fucking much. I would like to sit all
- 18:22Speaker 1: day in my house, in my house and just watch
- 18:25Speaker 1: it over the episodes. See what I'm saying. I told you,
- 18:28Speaker 1: I told you. See shrinking the movie is what I'm
- 18:33Speaker 1: talking about. Donald. Just to catch Sara up, Donald is
- 18:38Speaker 1: saying he's not gonna wait until you can binge the
- 18:40Speaker 1: whole thing. He's not gonna watch till you binge the
- 18:42Speaker 1: whole thing. So he's dying on that hill even though
- 18:46Speaker 1: it's his favorite movie star and his favorite comedy writer.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Is well, what I actually next season still do the
- 18:55Speaker 1: same thing. Sorry, Sorry, Sarah, Sarah, I'd be amazing. Denzel
- 19:00Speaker 1: came on as a patient to Harrison. Oh my god,
- 19:03Speaker 1: all right, go ahead, sorry, make it happened, Bill, Make
- 19:05Speaker 1: it happen, Bill, make it happens. Look ahead. I loved
- 19:10Speaker 1: it so much. I thought the whole cast was phenomenal,
- 19:14Speaker 1: every single one of them. I think it's my favorite
- 19:18Speaker 1: thing that Chris has ever done. I thought she told
- 19:21Speaker 1: y'all I told y'all. Didn't I tell you? Sarah did
- 19:24Speaker 1: not tell me? You? Remember you did tell me? Remember
- 19:28Speaker 1: who had dinner? Remember christ Remember what I told you?
- 19:33Speaker 1: Did I tell did? I did? I not tell you? Did?
- 19:38Speaker 1: Audience here he's standing up and yelling into them, like, um,
- 19:42Speaker 1: but he did tell me. If you're confused, audience, I
- 19:45Speaker 1: showed Donald my director's cut of episode eight out of context,
- 19:49Speaker 1: then filled him in on backstory, and he loved it.
- 19:52Speaker 1: And he was like, holy shit, Christa is crushing and
- 19:57Speaker 1: that's how he knows that. Okay, sorry, now scrush when
- 20:01Speaker 1: she says say it not everyone, here's a fucking idiot
- 20:05Speaker 1: at a girl, and like Joel was saying, I mean,
- 20:13Speaker 1: Jessica Williams was so good. I mean there was one
- 20:15Speaker 1: line where she is talking to Um Harrison and Jason
- 20:20Speaker 1: Siegel about Harrison Ford's daughter and she says, uh, you know,
- 20:24Speaker 1: tell us about your daughter. He says she lives in Connecticut.
- 20:26Speaker 1: And the way she delivers, Wow, it's like she's in
- 20:29Speaker 1: the room with Jessica Williams is a real delivery. Was
- 20:34Speaker 1: so good. Oh it was. I loved it. I loved
- 20:38Speaker 1: everything about it, and I thought, it's like it captures
- 20:40Speaker 1: like Bill always does this so well where you're laughing
- 20:43Speaker 1: out loud and then all of a sudden you notice
- 20:45Speaker 1: is like a tear. Yeah, so there you go. Even
- 20:51Speaker 1: Canadians love it. Everybody check it out. It's on Apple.
- 20:55Speaker 1: There's four episodes up now, so check it out and
- 20:57Speaker 1: you're gonna love it. There's a lot of Scrubs people
- 20:59Speaker 1: in it. Yes, like okay, okay, we love you when
- 21:04Speaker 1: we love plugging shrinking, but we should get into the
- 21:06Speaker 1: television show Scrubs and a very special episode. I have
- 21:11Speaker 1: not seen this, as I imagine you guys haven't since
- 21:13Speaker 1: uh since it aired. But it's just so fun to
- 21:18Speaker 1: watch it, and I had forgotten that it does that.
- 21:21Speaker 1: It's so clever in the writing, bouncing back and forth
- 21:24Speaker 1: between the hospital and the fantasies, the princess part. That
- 21:27Speaker 1: was some of the ways that that was done with
- 21:31Speaker 1: the writing and the director, uh did some interesting made
- 21:35Speaker 1: some interesting choices. Are you trying to fish for these compliments? No? No, no,
- 21:39Speaker 1: I'm trying to just say object because this was probably
- 21:42Speaker 1: the highest level. You know, you've gotten probably the biggest
- 21:46Speaker 1: Scrubs episodes of directors. I did because Bill Bill trusted me.
- 21:52Speaker 1: But it started off with him being competitive and being like,
- 21:54Speaker 1: you want to direct, you direct this, and he gave
- 21:56Speaker 1: me like that huge one where you go on the
- 21:58Speaker 1: Quest for Heather Graham and that was like so hard.
- 22:00Speaker 1: And then and then it became like he really liked
- 22:03Speaker 1: you know, then we then he really trusted me and
- 22:05Speaker 1: he would give me these big ones. Um. But this
- 22:07Speaker 1: was I think the biggest one we ever did by far.
- 22:10Speaker 1: And then this in the musical. This in the musical,
- 22:12Speaker 1: I think this the most cranes. Yeah, I think this
- 22:15Speaker 1: wouldn't cost way more than the musical. No, I just
- 22:17Speaker 1: meant big in terms of effort put into it, you
- 22:20Speaker 1: know what I mean? And money wise, this was definitely
- 22:22Speaker 1: the biggest budget one. I'm sure absolutely well, the more money,
- 22:25Speaker 1: the bigger the budget, the bigger the scope, and the
- 22:28Speaker 1: bigger the scale, right usually right, So I thought the
- 22:31Speaker 1: effects for whatever year it was, it must have been,
- 22:33Speaker 1: what year was it, joel um whatever, right now it
- 22:36Speaker 1: looked really good. I think for for for they looked
- 22:39Speaker 1: pretty good for two thousand and eight. The whole episode
- 22:41Speaker 1: is great. It's really clever. Man. You nailed it when
- 22:44Speaker 1: you said clever. It's really clever. Yeah, so it's an
- 22:48Speaker 1: homage the Princess Bride most of you, I'm sure, no,
- 22:51Speaker 1: but that's a wonderful movie that we're where a grandfather
- 22:56Speaker 1: I believe, is telling a story to h grandson. Um,
- 23:01Speaker 1: so we do the same thing with Cox talking to
- 23:05Speaker 1: his son and telling him a bedtime story. And so
- 23:08Speaker 1: just to set it up, we're in the ICU and uh,
- 23:13Speaker 1: Doug says something to Doug's very inappropriate. Doug is very inappropriate.
- 23:20Speaker 1: He's you keep wheeling him and all keep wheeling him out. Yes,
- 23:23Speaker 1: that's what he says. Was he's wheeling a corpse out
- 23:27Speaker 1: in front, in front, in front of an old in
- 23:29Speaker 1: front of an old man as he's being pushed into
- 23:32Speaker 1: the Yeah, Doug's not very appropriate. I think it's safe
- 23:35Speaker 1: to say neither is the Todd. But neither is the Todd. Yes.
- 23:38Speaker 1: So then we learned the Turk and Carler are kind
- 23:40Speaker 1: of becoming a little bit of a know it all
- 23:42Speaker 1: couple now that they got the parent thing dial. They're
- 23:47Speaker 1: like they're they're always arm in arm and they're always
- 23:50Speaker 1: being know it alls together, and they brags happened Turk
- 23:56Speaker 1: Braggs that they stocked up on baby oil, lotion and diapers.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Do you feel like that when you're out with your
- 24:03Speaker 1: couple of friends, like when you're out with Carrie and
- 24:05Speaker 1: Jess or when you're out with me in case, No,
- 24:07Speaker 1: But I know nothing, So it's not like I always
- 24:10Speaker 1: say it's funny for me, because all I've done is
- 24:12Speaker 1: train a dog, So I'm like, I know nothing. The
- 24:14Speaker 1: only thing I contribute is this is what worked for
- 24:16Speaker 1: my dog. Parents always look at you like you motherfucker.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Your dog isn't crying for hours straight at night. But anyway,
- 24:34Speaker 1: that Todd said, after Church suggests brags about how they
- 24:37Speaker 1: stocked up on baby oil, lotion and the diapers, that
- 24:40Speaker 1: Todd says, why is there a party this weekend? And
- 24:44Speaker 1: then everyone freezes, Yes, with photod If we didn't move
- 24:48Speaker 1: and stayed very quiet, he'd eventually get confused and leave. Now,
- 24:52Speaker 1: mind you guys, this is the top surgeon in the hospital. Yes,
- 24:56Speaker 1: and he's baffled by us all freezing. He doesn't know
- 24:59Speaker 1: what to do. Yes, but but he'll cut you open
- 25:02Speaker 1: real right right. Yeah, we all freeze and he doesn't
- 25:09Speaker 1: and he doesn't know what He's so baffled that he
- 25:11Speaker 1: just walks out, and then Cox continues like, all right,
- 25:14Speaker 1: we're back, right, Keith is back? Now, how does this happen?
- 25:19Speaker 1: And Kelso's chief again? How does this happen? Thing? The
- 25:24Speaker 1: chief thing was an out of order thing, I think
- 25:26Speaker 1: related again to the strike and maybe the show ending.
- 25:29Speaker 1: So yeah, that is a bit of a fuck up
- 25:32Speaker 1: in terms of that's just I know, and this I
- 25:34Speaker 1: don't think it was meant to go in this order.
- 25:36Speaker 1: But anyway, yeah, so Kelso is back to being chief,
- 25:39Speaker 1: even though we know he's not anymore. Um, I thought
- 25:42Speaker 1: I saw a funny little with Easter egg. Donald is
- 25:44Speaker 1: probably not a really strict but do you as Kelso
- 25:47Speaker 1: is yelling at everyone to not work beyond twelve hours?
- 25:51Speaker 1: Deontay is in the background. Yes, And do you remember
- 25:55Speaker 1: the Deontay story that he he he worked so many
- 25:59Speaker 1: hours once he never told the ads that he was
- 26:02Speaker 1: still on the clock. No, that was me that did that,
- 26:04Speaker 1: bumb but tell, well, tell the story. I just remember
- 26:06Speaker 1: that there was a crazy thing about Deontay staying way
- 26:08Speaker 1: too many hours and getting paid and maybe he got
- 26:11Speaker 1: paid too for it. But I once worked for twenty
- 26:15Speaker 1: four hours. Deontay must have rode that way with you, buddy, Yes,
- 26:21Speaker 1: because we were working night shoots, but there was two units,
- 26:25Speaker 1: and night shoots kind of rolled over into day shoots.
- 26:30Speaker 1: And instead of complaining and being like, yo, I've been
- 26:36Speaker 1: working for over sixteen hours, I saw the silver lining
- 26:41Speaker 1: because some of it was downtime too. I was like,
- 26:44Speaker 1: let's see how far I could stretch this out, because
- 26:47Speaker 1: I'm now at the point where this check is gonna
- 26:49Speaker 1: be massive. So I took a couple of naps in
- 26:56Speaker 1: my dressing room and just collected money. But I remember,
- 27:01Speaker 1: what do you call it a drifting and in cycling
- 27:03Speaker 1: when you're behind the someone. Is that what it's called. Yeah,
- 27:06Speaker 1: So Deonte just drifted behind you and collected his version
- 27:09Speaker 1: of that check. And I remember, obviously the eighties aren't
- 27:12Speaker 1: gonna yell at you, or maybe they did. Maybe Randall
- 27:15Speaker 1: yelled at you. Dam Randall, not that he had any
- 27:17Speaker 1: footing to stand on because it wasn't your fault, was
- 27:21Speaker 1: like this will never ever. He got real freaking like
- 27:27Speaker 1: African American movie dramatic, this will never well. All I
- 27:37Speaker 1: remember is the eighties yelled at Deonte, and I just
- 27:39Speaker 1: thought it was a funny thing because of all people
- 27:42Speaker 1: of all the background performers to be in the shot,
- 27:45Speaker 1: as Kelso's yelling at everyone to dot dare work over
- 27:48Speaker 1: twelve hours. Deonta's in the back nodding his head, which
- 27:56Speaker 1: um okay, so uh Ted describes. Is asked to describe
- 28:02Speaker 1: what happens in a courtroom and he says that quote
- 28:06Speaker 1: the law is wearing black robes and white wigs, and
- 28:11Speaker 1: Kelsel says that's england ted the fact that he's a
- 28:16Speaker 1: lot of these people are able to hold jobs. And
- 28:26Speaker 1: then he's like, are you sure? Yeah? Are you sure? Now?
- 28:31Speaker 1: Millian and Keith Sarah, what's happening here? You're alternating between
- 28:34Speaker 1: name calling and he's pleased to get back together. Yeah, so,
- 28:40Speaker 1: I guess Keith and I had broken up and he's
- 28:44Speaker 1: treating me respectfully in the hospital and then he goes
- 28:47Speaker 1: outside to sob Yeah, well, I understandably devastated. This is
- 28:52Speaker 1: an absolutely well he lost Sarah chalk, I get it now.
- 28:56Speaker 1: This is this is Elliott read well both. This is
- 28:59Speaker 1: some thing that I must have happened out of order two,
- 29:02Speaker 1: I think obviously, because I don't think, well, it happened
- 29:05Speaker 1: at the beginning of the season, right, It wouldn't be
- 29:06Speaker 1: revising probably wouldn't be revisiting Keith if this wasn't a
- 29:09Speaker 1: bit out of order. It happened in the beginning of
- 29:12Speaker 1: the season for sure. Yeah you know why? Also Donald, Phazon,
- 29:17Speaker 1: because we're talking about the almost kiss that ended season six. Yes, right,
- 29:25Speaker 1: and then I guess because of the strike, they just
- 29:26Speaker 1: wanted this to be placed where it was finale. I
- 29:30Speaker 1: have to ask Bill, um, but it was a do
- 29:33Speaker 1: you want to do an ask Bill like the old
- 29:34Speaker 1: school days? Joe. Yeah, Bill's busy, Bro, He's so busy,
- 29:38Speaker 1: He's so busy. If we're lucky, let's try, Let's try.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Let's try. Bill. This is us, Sarah, Donald, Joel and
- 29:46Speaker 1: Danal the original three. Can you explain because we're only
- 29:50Speaker 1: guessing why the We know it has somebody do with
- 29:54Speaker 1: the writers strike, But why is this Princess Bright episode
- 29:58Speaker 1: mean to be the last one when chronologically it feels
- 30:01Speaker 1: like it was meant to go earlier. Kelso is still
- 30:03Speaker 1: the chief of Medicine. We're discussing the kiss that almost
- 30:07Speaker 1: happened that ended season six. Where was this intended to go?
- 30:10Speaker 1: In the season seven storyline? Hey Zach, Hey Donald, Hey Sarah?
- 30:16Speaker 1: Thanks for doing my uh podcast. I appreciate it five six, seven, eight.
- 30:24Speaker 1: That better have happened. That stuff still needs to happen. Anyways, Look,
- 30:28Speaker 1: I really appreciate the question shrinking. It comes out once
- 30:32Speaker 1: a week only, so yeah, we released the first two
- 30:35Speaker 1: the first weekend and then one comes out every week.
- 30:40Speaker 1: I think it comes out sometimes like Thursday night at
- 30:43Speaker 1: midnight East Coast time, but it really comes out Friday
- 30:47Speaker 1: side Sunday, and then it's ten episodes, so we'll do
- 30:49Speaker 1: it that way. Besides that season seven of Scrubs. Look,
- 30:56Speaker 1: here's the scoop. It was a writer's strike and I
- 31:00Speaker 1: wasn't allowed to be an editing, and luck we had
- 31:03Speaker 1: most of the episodes done that we had finished, and they,
- 31:06Speaker 1: you know, I think NBC just figured they were never
- 31:11Speaker 1: airing the show again. So that was it. And the
- 31:14Speaker 1: closest thing they had to a seasoned finale, you know,
- 31:19Speaker 1: or a series finale, was our Princess Bride episode, so
- 31:22Speaker 1: they juggled him around. And I was not a fan
- 31:27Speaker 1: because it made no sense because Kelso got you know,
- 31:30Speaker 1: left his job and then was back and then left again.
- 31:33Speaker 1: It was all very weird, but that was a product
- 31:36Speaker 1: of the strike. And more importantly though, ABC and Disney
- 31:40Speaker 1: was so cool because if you guys remember, they let
- 31:43Speaker 1: us pick up the eighth season of the show and
- 31:46Speaker 1: it changed networks over to ABC. That mattered to me
- 31:50Speaker 1: a lot because we always knew what the finale was,
- 31:53Speaker 1: we just did not have it shot when there was
- 31:55Speaker 1: a writer strikes season seven. That is all. See you guys,
- 31:59Speaker 1: miss you guys, piece out. Thank you Bill for taking
- 32:02Speaker 1: the time. We know you're very busy. And no, this
- 32:05Speaker 1: is not your podcast, so whatever jokes you made that
- 32:08Speaker 1: we're about this being your podcast are not correct. And yes, Bill,
- 32:14Speaker 1: I would love to be in the next episode. You've
- 32:19Speaker 1: got a lot of balls. Yeah you got. I think
- 32:23Speaker 1: when Bill listens to this, the people that are gonna
- 32:25Speaker 1: get arcs and shrinking are going to be the ones
- 32:27Speaker 1: who are actors and who've watched the show, Sarah, don't
- 32:30Speaker 1: you think that's probably the case. I don't think you
- 32:33Speaker 1: guys really believe that Bill's gonna put you in the
- 32:35Speaker 1: show because you watched it. Um. I think that he
- 32:39Speaker 1: would be more inclined to put us on the show
- 32:42Speaker 1: that we honor his work. Yeah, I'm gonna watch it.
- 32:51Speaker 1: I'm just waiting for yes, we know, we know. I'm
- 32:53Speaker 1: just putting it out there. Daniel, what was the genesis
- 32:56Speaker 1: of you on or me? Oh? That's Daniel's catchphrase. That's
- 33:00Speaker 1: when and how did you about? Where did it come from?
- 33:02Speaker 1: Where did it start? How to start? Um? I'm trying
- 33:05Speaker 1: to remember. I think I heard it, if I'm being honest,
- 33:07Speaker 1: and this is totally pleasing to me. I heard it
- 33:09Speaker 1: in a video game and I was like, that's great.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I'm with that. Oh, so it's something you use in
- 33:15Speaker 1: your real life, not just on um. Honor me? Is
- 33:19Speaker 1: something you say in real life. It's his catch phrase.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I know, real I know. But Gary Coleman didn't say
- 33:25Speaker 1: with chum out willis in his real life. Well, God
- 33:27Speaker 1: rest his soul. I don't want to talk to day.
- 33:30Speaker 1: But there is a possibility that Gary Coleman might have said,
- 33:33Speaker 1: what you're talking about somebody? You think the outside of
- 33:37Speaker 1: doing different strokes, there is a do you think do
- 33:41Speaker 1: you think say that's what I'm talking about? Ji White?
- 33:44Speaker 1: Do you think Julial White in his real life said
- 33:47Speaker 1: did I do that? I bet you Julia White after
- 33:50Speaker 1: serving somebody on the basketball court and driving by him
- 33:55Speaker 1: after the motherfucker was talking all of that ship and
- 33:58Speaker 1: laid him. I don't believe when did I That would
- 34:04Speaker 1: be amazing. If that we need to have another segment
- 34:08Speaker 1: called asked Jalil White, where we should we? You know?
- 34:11Speaker 1: For real? Man, I love that brother, like I don't
- 34:14Speaker 1: talk about him enough. I talk about du lay a lot.
- 34:16Speaker 1: That's another brother that I really really really enjoy having
- 34:19Speaker 1: conversation with and talking to. Jalil has if he never
- 34:23Speaker 1: watched we would have him on. If you ever watched Scrubs,
- 34:27Speaker 1: we could have him on. That would be awesome. He's one.
- 34:29Speaker 1: He was actually one of the kings of freaking sitcoms
- 34:33Speaker 1: back when I was a kid. You know what I mean?
- 34:35Speaker 1: He killed it. I mean, even though you know Racle
- 34:38Speaker 1: became sort of a joke, that young man came on
- 34:42Speaker 1: that show as a guest not even star, like a
- 34:46Speaker 1: supporting guest spot, and then took over the whole fucking show. Yes,
- 34:51Speaker 1: absolutely that. Yeah, the show is not about him. It
- 34:57Speaker 1: was failing. The show was failing. He came on, the
- 34:59Speaker 1: ratings went up, and then the show was like, we
- 35:01Speaker 1: gotta get this guy back on the evolution the show
- 35:06Speaker 1: right there. Then he became the sitcom version of the
- 35:10Speaker 1: guest star. The guest star version that he played is
- 35:13Speaker 1: like the evolution of Urkle is, Like he went from
- 35:16Speaker 1: becoming like this really really like he was a smart
- 35:19Speaker 1: nerd at school who had this crush on Laura to
- 35:22Speaker 1: this genius who could create the arkle bot, like yo,
- 35:26Speaker 1: for real, man, the evolution of this character up he
- 35:31Speaker 1: created a potion that Jacqueline hide potion where there was
- 35:35Speaker 1: Stefan and Steven Van was swab and cool and then
- 35:41Speaker 1: Jalil plays both of them like masterfully man like dude,
- 35:45Speaker 1: this dude, like for real, for real man, I'm gonna
- 35:47Speaker 1: give your flowers. Jalil, you're one of my favorites. Menu
- 35:51Speaker 1: you kadeem for real, for real. You showed a lot
- 35:54Speaker 1: of us when we were coming up how it's done.
- 35:56Speaker 1: So if you do listen to fake Doctor's real friends, Jalil,
- 35:59Speaker 1: you deserve that for real straight up. Oh there you go.
- 36:02Speaker 1: I never there's applause, Daniel unders applause. I got it,
- 36:09Speaker 1: all right, that's enough about your little white Um So wait, Zach,
- 36:12Speaker 1: what would your catchphrase be? Eagle? Would you say? Um?
- 36:15Speaker 1: I guess if j G had a catchphrase, it would
- 36:18Speaker 1: probably be eagle, right, Donald, Yeah, Joel. Yeah, I don't
- 36:22Speaker 1: know if there's a Donald's is um, that's what I'm
- 36:25Speaker 1: talking about. That now, that's what I'm talking Now, that's
- 36:28Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. Yours is frick. Yeah, yours is
- 36:31Speaker 1: frick double frick with on a stick, frick on a
- 36:34Speaker 1: stick with a brick, frick frick on a stick with
- 36:37Speaker 1: a brick or maybe janitor. Okay, we're gonna take a
- 36:44Speaker 1: break and we come back. We're gonna talk about all
- 36:46Speaker 1: the artwork and creativity from our amazing crew that went
- 36:51Speaker 1: into making the Princess Bride episode right back for you,
- 37:00Speaker 1: and we're bad. I thought we were going to take
- 37:03Speaker 1: a break too. I thought we were gonna get chatting
- 37:06Speaker 1: hang out on the break. No, No, we don't do that, Sarah.
- 37:09Speaker 1: But thanks for revealing that to the audience. Sarah, you
- 37:14Speaker 1: thought that we were going to spend the commercial time
- 37:17Speaker 1: and chatting like he live. I've a lot of stories
- 37:21Speaker 1: for you, guys, Donalds on the laughing let's kid, Sarah,
- 37:27Speaker 1: we can talk about what sea but we're gonna see
- 37:33Speaker 1: a quote unquote break, but we'll let the audience listen. Okay,
- 37:36Speaker 1: we're on a break, Sarah, what's up? Oh are you
- 37:43Speaker 1: look great. Um, I don't. Actually, actually usually it is coold.
- 37:51Speaker 1: I have a bit of that's where my is this
- 37:53Speaker 1: bit frostbite on my face. Tied it a frostbite right here.
- 37:57Speaker 1: It was so cold I skip three days in a
- 37:59Speaker 1: row and I should have gone in from breaks. Were
- 38:01Speaker 1: you a whistler or was it whistler? And it was
- 38:05Speaker 1: just like bonkers cold and I was of this chunk
- 38:09Speaker 1: of frostbay right here. Why don't you have a mask on?
- 38:13Speaker 1: I did? I had like so many layers. Bootstaters were
- 38:16Speaker 1: going everything. I'm coming up to Van Groovy in late April.
- 38:21Speaker 1: If you want to hang out, hang out. We can't
- 38:25Speaker 1: ski because well actually there could be a bit of
- 38:27Speaker 1: skiing left. Well, if you happen to be around, we
- 38:29Speaker 1: can have dinner and hang out. You're going in April,
- 38:32Speaker 1: end of April. I'm going up for a few days
- 38:34Speaker 1: to Van Groovy. I do love me some Dan Groovy.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Come Donald come end of aprils when it's really pretty
- 38:40Speaker 1: up there too, right sir? Oh, it's so it's always pretty.
- 38:44Speaker 1: What are you talking about? Well, I don't like known
- 38:46Speaker 1: like it's a rain It's a rainforest, bro, It's not
- 38:49Speaker 1: a rainforest. It is it is, it is. But when
- 38:54Speaker 1: the sun is out at van Groovy, it's it's mazing.
- 38:57Speaker 1: There's nothing pretty. That's why it's all so green. Because
- 39:01Speaker 1: the rains all the times. You have to put up
- 39:03Speaker 1: with the rain. But I like the rain, I guess
- 39:04Speaker 1: because I grew up in it. I don't mind. Like
- 39:06Speaker 1: you know, when you grow up here, you have to
- 39:08Speaker 1: go outside when it's pouring rain. Otherwise you would never
- 39:10Speaker 1: leave your house. You just get used to doing everything
- 39:12Speaker 1: you always do in the rain. Yeah, well you don't
- 39:16Speaker 1: mind it, all right, Sarah, I'm gonna I'm gonna pretend.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell the audience that we're coming back from
- 39:19Speaker 1: our pretend break. Now, okay, Now what you're gonna do is, Sara,
- 39:22Speaker 1: you're gonna win. Donald, you're gonna say, and we're back, ready,
- 39:26Speaker 1: and we're back. You're ready, Sarah, And well let's star
- 39:29Speaker 1: Donald and Saray you do it and go alright, audience, audience,
- 39:38Speaker 1: I'm so sorry you didn't get to hear that conversation, audience,
- 39:40Speaker 1: so that we had during the during our real break,
- 39:44Speaker 1: laughed and cried. What we do is we take a
- 39:47Speaker 1: We actually take a break. That's the length of the advertisers.
- 39:52Speaker 1: I knew it. I knew that's how we did. Wait,
- 39:58Speaker 1: you guys, we gotta get into this magical fairytale. So um, okay,
- 40:02Speaker 1: well it takes a long time to get into the
- 40:04Speaker 1: fairy tale on the show too, Like I knew it
- 40:06Speaker 1: was a fairytale episode, and after a while I'm like, yeah,
- 40:09Speaker 1: when does it become the fairytale episode? Okay, Well, let's
- 40:11Speaker 1: just run through a couple of things that are happening
- 40:13Speaker 1: in the real world. Um, Jad says, I tried to
- 40:15Speaker 1: kiss her, and he's he's no one's there to see,
- 40:18Speaker 1: what the hell face? So he carries it around over
- 40:20Speaker 1: to doctor Cox all the way of the doctor's lounge.
- 40:23Speaker 1: He's like, what do you want? And you know, we're
- 40:24Speaker 1: sending up all the storylines that are going to cross
- 40:26Speaker 1: back and forth between the princess world and the hospital world,
- 40:31Speaker 1: the most important of which is that Sarah has a patient.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Elliott has a patient that she cannot diagnose, and um,
- 40:38Speaker 1: there's we should also talk about the interns and how
- 40:41Speaker 1: they're playing that game where yes, like jeopardy, Um, you
- 40:46Speaker 1: know named the name the diagnosed the patient, right, And
- 40:50Speaker 1: Jad's in the room and he and and you know,
- 40:53Speaker 1: he's explaining to Cox that like one of them is
- 40:55Speaker 1: Wilson's disease, and now other one is like one what
- 41:00Speaker 1: was the one that JD knew? I don't remember, but
- 41:02Speaker 1: you know they're talking about gloating and JD's like, I
- 41:05Speaker 1: don't gloat, and then he guesses one writing he gloats,
- 41:08Speaker 1: and then I do this really horrible, what annoying thing
- 41:10Speaker 1: is happening? Now? Yeah? And I do this really horrible
- 41:13Speaker 1: accent attempted because you're supposed to do it in a
- 41:16Speaker 1: foreign accent, and I do a version of like a
- 41:19Speaker 1: horrible Australian accent. Throw another shrimp on the bobby and
- 41:22Speaker 1: I'm like, wait, that's Irish. So JD is not very
- 41:26Speaker 1: good with accents. We established, and then we also get
- 41:29Speaker 1: the Jordan and Cox's nanny's mom died, so Jordan has
- 41:34Speaker 1: been having to spend time with her child because she's
- 41:37Speaker 1: been trying to avoid talking to the nanny at all
- 41:41Speaker 1: costs and comforting her. So Perry thus starts to tell
- 41:48Speaker 1: a story and it cuts from He starts talking about
- 41:52Speaker 1: the hospital and it shows me in a yellow Cando
- 41:55Speaker 1: hat and I say this, this hat make me look
- 41:57Speaker 1: fly and then she says, no known hospital story. It's
- 42:01Speaker 1: a real fairy tale. And so then it cuts to uh, Donald,
- 42:05Speaker 1: and excuse me, Turk and Carla are Turla? Which is
- 42:09Speaker 1: that have been fused together at marriage? Yes, Sarah is
- 42:13Speaker 1: a gorgeous princess. Yea. And JD is the fool and
- 42:19Speaker 1: he an idiot and he said, and he's got the
- 42:22Speaker 1: bells fool thing on his head, and he goes, does
- 42:24Speaker 1: this hat make me look fly using? It jingles when
- 42:29Speaker 1: I shake it? And that's I have a question. Yeah,
- 42:33Speaker 1: is if in like medieval language like an apostrophe, then
- 42:37Speaker 1: because wouldn't he have said does this hat make me
- 42:40Speaker 1: look fly? It? It jingles when I shake it? Perhaps
- 42:45Speaker 1: I don't. I think, Yeah, it's a good stonor question.
- 42:50Speaker 1: I'm sure many people that are high listening have the
- 42:52Speaker 1: same question. Um, we have to make sure we play
- 42:56Speaker 1: to the high audience. So Donald represents you, guys, Well,
- 42:59Speaker 1: I've always represented you. I want you to know that, yes,
- 43:01Speaker 1: for all seven seasons. If you're a stoner who listens
- 43:04Speaker 1: to this Donald's questions, represent you, guys. Was a stoner humor? Yeah,
- 43:13Speaker 1: if you're not a smoker, if you're not a smoker.
- 43:16Speaker 1: You can still appreciate it. You can appreciate on many levels.
- 43:18Speaker 1: Doctors appreciate it, kids could appreciate it. Well, let's not
- 43:22Speaker 1: bring kids and well, teenagers. It's a little maybe a
- 43:25Speaker 1: little r rated for kids. Kids, thank you. Well, let's
- 43:28Speaker 1: say just I know my son's asking if you can
- 43:30Speaker 1: watch it, and I'm like, well you, it's sort of
- 43:32Speaker 1: like there's no difference between him watching that a lot
- 43:34Speaker 1: of the other comedies he's watching. It's just different when
- 43:36Speaker 1: it's your mom in a broad underwear. Yeah. I'd about
- 43:41Speaker 1: to say, your oldest sir thirteen just turned thirteen. I
- 43:46Speaker 1: don't think you should watch it. I don't think you
- 43:48Speaker 1: should watch it. He's a teenager. No, but I mean
- 43:51Speaker 1: his mind a lot of sex on the show. I said.
- 43:56Speaker 1: There's select episodes I said I would through and there
- 44:02Speaker 1: like this episode, for example, would be a great one
- 44:04Speaker 1: for him to watch. Yes, this one would be. The
- 44:08Speaker 1: musical would be a great one from to watch anyone
- 44:11Speaker 1: where you're not like, he's gonna be like, my friends
- 44:13Speaker 1: keep telling me about all of this other stuff. Though
- 44:16Speaker 1: there's a pizza episode. I heard about the clock pizza.
- 44:21Speaker 1: There's a pizza clock episode. Mom, what's that about That
- 44:24Speaker 1: sounds appropriate? Mama? What's inappropriate about pizza clock? Okay, So
- 44:34Speaker 1: I just want to give a shout out to Cabinet McMullen,
- 44:36Speaker 1: our production designer, Carrie Bennett, our costume designer, and John Inwood,
- 44:40Speaker 1: our cinematographer, because those departments and including hair and makeup,
- 44:46Speaker 1: just an extraordinary job with this um. Everybody, all of
- 44:50Speaker 1: these costumes you see, many of them carry made these
- 44:54Speaker 1: incredible sets of Cabinot built or the big wide shots
- 44:58Speaker 1: like in the town square that opens the sequence that
- 45:01Speaker 1: was on the Universal back lot, and it wasn't even
- 45:04Speaker 1: actually like you know, an old you know, ye old
- 45:07Speaker 1: town thing. It was a section of Universal that was
- 45:10Speaker 1: not dressed like that. So all of cabin and his
- 45:14Speaker 1: team did all of that to make it look like that.
- 45:17Speaker 1: M So, just a lot of money and time and
- 45:20Speaker 1: love and creativity was put into this episode. Kudos to you,
- 45:23Speaker 1: zach Man. You found some really good shots out of
- 45:25Speaker 1: all of this stuff. Thank you Phil too, you found
- 45:27Speaker 1: some really beautiful shots. The shots with Sam and Neil
- 45:30Speaker 1: were amazing walking off intives but they're walking away and
- 45:33Speaker 1: the whole camera shaking. Yeah, amazing man, Yeah, thank you,
- 45:38Speaker 1: thank you. I put a lot of love into this
- 45:39Speaker 1: and and I really haven't seen it in so long,
- 45:41Speaker 1: so I was so happy that it held up. And
- 45:44Speaker 1: and I remember at the time thinking, oh, I hope
- 45:48Speaker 1: these effects are good enough. You know that the sort
- 45:50Speaker 1: of NBC budget level effects were good enough. And I
- 45:54Speaker 1: think they looked pretty good. This many years later, they
- 45:56Speaker 1: looked amazing. And how remind me how you guys shot
- 45:59Speaker 1: Turk and Turl? How did you guys shoot that? Again?
- 46:02Speaker 1: We had to do a green screen. There was like
- 46:03Speaker 1: a dude that looked like Finesse Mitchell. I forget his name,
- 46:07Speaker 1: but he looked just like Finesse. Was yeah, he was
- 46:10Speaker 1: the body. I thought it was Finesse and I ran
- 46:12Speaker 1: up on Finesse. I was like, yo, is that you
- 46:15Speaker 1: no anyway? So um, And then I did a green
- 46:20Speaker 1: screen and Judy did a green screen just their heads
- 46:23Speaker 1: yet but I don't know. I don't know if we
- 46:25Speaker 1: ever shot any of the stuff together either. Then a
- 46:28Speaker 1: lot of it was shot in the hospital, where it
- 46:31Speaker 1: was like we didn't just shoot it in one day. Also,
- 46:33Speaker 1: it was like a couple of days too for different things.
- 46:37Speaker 1: All their heads were everything with them, and their heads
- 46:40Speaker 1: was on green screen and um and the body person
- 46:44Speaker 1: being the body probably had a green screen mask. I
- 46:48Speaker 1: think I worked two days. You guys were that was
- 46:50Speaker 1: my That was That was what I was upset about,
- 46:52Speaker 1: because you guys got to be on set and live
- 46:55Speaker 1: in this world and stuff like that. And Judy and
- 46:57Speaker 1: I were in the hospital where we all worked. Yeah,
- 47:00Speaker 1: and all they did was hung a green screen behind
- 47:02Speaker 1: us and painted our faces. That I remember that being
- 47:06Speaker 1: me being upset about that. Yeah, I get it because
- 47:09Speaker 1: this was such a fun adventure. How about Neil as
- 47:11Speaker 1: the giant. That's a lot of freaking makeup. I wonder
- 47:16Speaker 1: if he liked that. I wonder if he likes sitting
- 47:18Speaker 1: in the chair. Well, if it's just for one episode,
- 47:20Speaker 1: I'm sure it's fine. If you're won one of those
- 47:22Speaker 1: star truck shows and you gotta do that every week,
- 47:24Speaker 1: I'm sure it's tough. I'm not gonna say no names,
- 47:27Speaker 1: but I had a conversation with somebody who did an
- 47:31Speaker 1: episode of a sci fi show where he had to
- 47:35Speaker 1: just one episode and he had to wear the prosthetics
- 47:39Speaker 1: similar to what Neil did, and he said he would
- 47:42Speaker 1: never do the show again. And I was like, but
- 47:43Speaker 1: it's so awesome, it's such a great show. He was like, Nope,
- 47:46Speaker 1: not if I got to wear that. What about think
- 47:48Speaker 1: of like Eddie Murphy in the Clumps when he's playing everybody.
- 47:52Speaker 1: I mean, I can't fathom how long I must take,
- 47:55Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Yeah? Especially, yeah, No, I
- 47:57Speaker 1: don't Jim Carrey in all the times he's done stuff
- 48:01Speaker 1: like that like that is so much time in the chair.
- 48:03Speaker 1: But wouldn't you want to find out at least at
- 48:06Speaker 1: least one time? No, wouldn't you want to try it
- 48:08Speaker 1: at least? No? I would have been decide for yourself?
- 48:11Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? If if I was on the
- 48:13Speaker 1: level that someone would make a Clump style movie with
- 48:16Speaker 1: me playing the six parts, it would be a dream.
- 48:19Speaker 1: I mean, you'd suffer for your art to do it.
- 48:22Speaker 1: But I'm just saying it's Think how I don't know
- 48:26Speaker 1: what zone Eddie must go into, but doing that every
- 48:28Speaker 1: single morning for months and months and months, you gotta
- 48:32Speaker 1: I mean, obviously someone scene has to take more than
- 48:34Speaker 1: a week to do, Like a scene, oh dude, those
- 48:37Speaker 1: Clumps scenes where he's playing everyone, that probably took a month, right, amazing? Um?
- 48:43Speaker 1: But anyway, so Neil looks great. As the giant alone goes,
- 48:46Speaker 1: why is this town so dirty? It's well irritable towns
- 48:50Speaker 1: woman of color. She accuses him of eating babies and
- 48:56Speaker 1: he says, I don't eat babies, I eat toddlers. And
- 49:01Speaker 1: then Doug comes up quick on the lips, lifetime on
- 49:06Speaker 1: the hips, right. But then Doug, who is the sort
- 49:10Speaker 1: of dead body collector who I did not recognize. I
- 49:13Speaker 1: was like, who the fuck is that? Yeah, it's like
- 49:16Speaker 1: to bring out your dead, bring out your dead thing. Yeah,
- 49:20Speaker 1: money python, bring out your dead. He comes up and
- 49:21Speaker 1: he's like, I thought you said she'd be dead already,
- 49:24Speaker 1: and the janitor says, come back later, do you have
- 49:26Speaker 1: any babies? Todd That was cute, And then we meet
- 49:35Speaker 1: the village idiot. No, it was it was I don't
- 49:38Speaker 1: know the keut's the wrong word. It was funny. Um.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Then we meet the village idiot, who is played by JD.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Slash Sack Braff and m. He is so enamored with
- 49:49Speaker 1: the gorgeous princess and he brings her a fish that
- 49:53Speaker 1: he's saved from drowning, and the fish is obviously dead,
- 49:57Speaker 1: and he said he's tired now, but earlier he was
- 49:59Speaker 1: dance and all around. And then I make like a
- 50:02Speaker 1: fish that's brouncing on land because I'm an idiot. That's real.
- 50:06Speaker 1: That's probably the most idiotic things. And then we fight
- 50:11Speaker 1: ever fantasized in his life, But it's not him fantasizing it.
- 50:16Speaker 1: This is all the story through doctor Cox's right, Donald,
- 50:18Speaker 1: we must remember that this is all told true Cox
- 50:21Speaker 1: his eyes. That's why it's safe to say. He finds
- 50:24Speaker 1: Elliott beautiful and not that bothers him. Really, he thinks
- 50:30Speaker 1: Jad's the biggest idiot in the world. He thinks that
- 50:32Speaker 1: Turk and Carla have become a know it all monolith.
- 50:38Speaker 1: What else does he think? He thinks that the janitor
- 50:41Speaker 1: is some giant freak. Yeah, and heet like eighteen abs
- 50:46Speaker 1: on his armor when Cox comes in, Oh yeah, of
- 50:49Speaker 1: course he thinks that. He thinks that he is the
- 50:52Speaker 1: most amazing, handsome savior. And night yes, it arrives on
- 50:57Speaker 1: a beautiful horse. So um so, Sarah, Elliott and I
- 51:04Speaker 1: the Idiot are discussing who's it's too tried to kiss who?
- 51:08Speaker 1: Remember this is a pickup from end of season six
- 51:10Speaker 1: when we almost kissed It was your royal tongue that
- 51:14Speaker 1: tried to store my mouthcastle, Castle. That's funny. I believe
- 51:21Speaker 1: it was your royal tongue trying to storm my mouthcastle.
- 51:31Speaker 1: So funny. And then she's yelling at me and she's
- 51:35Speaker 1: she says something about her bosoms moving up and down.
- 51:39Speaker 1: There's a lot of bosom talk in this episode, man,
- 51:41Speaker 1: a lot of Like bosoms are a part of a
- 51:45Speaker 1: good fairy tale, right, a hefty bosom. I have to listen.
- 51:50Speaker 1: All I know is Turk rubs on his wife's bosom.
- 51:54Speaker 1: That was so funny. But you know what I guess,
- 51:57Speaker 1: because it's his wife, It's okay. I don't no, man,
- 52:00Speaker 1: Like I've seen that meme that's out there right now
- 52:04Speaker 1: where the women are doing what the husbands do to
- 52:07Speaker 1: them when they're like bent over and you know, standing
- 52:10Speaker 1: in the mirror and stuff. Have you seen this meme? No,
- 52:14Speaker 1: So I'm a perpetrator of this. I have when my
- 52:19Speaker 1: wife is you know, looking in the mirror, brushing her teeth,
- 52:23Speaker 1: come behind her and fondled her, or when she's bent over,
- 52:27Speaker 1: pretended to hump on her or something like that, or
- 52:30Speaker 1: step my finger in her butt, you know what I mean.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Like I've done stuff like this to her. There's a
- 52:35Speaker 1: meme out of wives doing that to their husbands now
- 52:40Speaker 1: and their husbands not appreciating it at all the pending. No,
- 52:47Speaker 1: they're doing it for real. They're setting up the camera
- 52:49Speaker 1: and the husband is freaking washing the dishes, and the
- 52:51Speaker 1: wife will come behind them and rub on his chest
- 52:53Speaker 1: and I'm like, don't do that to me. Come on,
- 52:56Speaker 1: you know, like pissed off, Like it's really cute. But
- 53:00Speaker 1: and I do that all the time. That's what it
- 53:01Speaker 1: sounds like. When Turk rubs on Carla's well, he grabs
- 53:07Speaker 1: Carla's breast and it's their breast. It's it's actually their breastplates, turlos.
- 53:13Speaker 1: He grabs Turlo's shared breastplate. Now on her side, there's
- 53:17Speaker 1: a metal breast on his side. It's just a hectoral. Yes.
- 53:22Speaker 1: But while he's rubbing, and he goes that's what I'm
- 53:25Speaker 1: talking about catchphrase and he uses a friend. Um. It
- 53:31Speaker 1: was very funny. When Keith arrives on horsebackers the key
- 53:36Speaker 1: to the chassis belt. Now you don't mind, I'd like
- 53:39Speaker 1: to get the key back to my chest. Did he built?
- 53:41Speaker 1: And then this is going to make so many things
- 53:44Speaker 1: so much easier. Yeah, And then we see the chassis
- 53:46Speaker 1: belt drop to the ground because poor princess has been
- 53:50Speaker 1: living with that on. It was steaming. It wasn't steaming.
- 53:56Speaker 1: It may have been steaming because it was cold and
- 53:58Speaker 1: it was metal. I don't Wasn't it so hot when
- 54:02Speaker 1: we filmed the memory correct? Was it so boiling hot
- 54:06Speaker 1: and we were in all those layers? I feel like
- 54:07Speaker 1: it was very hot. I don't remember. I don't remember.
- 54:10Speaker 1: That's probably true. How funny is it when Travis arrives
- 54:14Speaker 1: in that big He is so funny. He's so funny
- 54:20Speaker 1: in that. I laughed out loud when he comes up.
- 54:24Speaker 1: It's like, Um, what's that character in Shrek that has
- 54:28Speaker 1: that hair cut? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, He's like he's
- 54:33Speaker 1: got that hair By the way, I wanted Puss. What
- 54:35Speaker 1: about Prince Charming in part two? Though? What was that
- 54:37Speaker 1: same thing? Right? Who was just Prince Charming? But yeah,
- 54:40Speaker 1: they had a similar cut. I watched Puts Some Boots
- 54:42Speaker 1: two because flows in it and she's Goldilocks. It's really good.
- 54:45Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys have all watched it,
- 54:47Speaker 1: but it's so well done. We saw it in the
- 54:49Speaker 1: movie theater. Have you seen it, Joel? I haven't seen
- 54:52Speaker 1: it yet, but I've heard lovely things everything about It's amazing.
- 54:57Speaker 1: The script and the story is so clever. But I
- 55:00Speaker 1: think it'll be scared to some kids, though your kids
- 55:03Speaker 1: scared all No, my kids weren't scared of it at all.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Actually they you know, we it's a cartoon. I can
- 55:11Speaker 1: explain that jump scares are something that's new for them.
- 55:14Speaker 1: Though Roadblocks and they're jump scares are a problem because
- 55:20Speaker 1: some of the games that are on Roadblocks. Listen, guys,
- 55:24Speaker 1: I love you because you take my kid away from
- 55:26Speaker 1: me sometimes when I just want to fucking do shit.
- 55:28Speaker 1: But this fucking him waking up in the middle of
- 55:32Speaker 1: the night because of these jump scares or because of
- 55:34Speaker 1: this stuff on this game is not all right with me.
- 55:36Speaker 1: So you know what I mean? Like, do adults play Roadblocks?
- 55:40Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. Absolutely adults play Roadblocks.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Anybody can play Roadblocks. It's it's one of those games
- 55:46Speaker 1: where you can do anything. It's like mine. Do you
- 55:48Speaker 1: ever twitch on robot for me? Stright? My kids love it.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Your kids love it. They love it? Okay, all right,
- 56:00Speaker 1: So Turlo, we talked about that. Now we also know
- 56:04Speaker 1: that Turla is having their time of the month, and
- 56:08Speaker 1: Turk of Turlo says, our time of the month. Is
- 56:12Speaker 1: that why I keep crying for no reason? I didn't
- 56:15Speaker 1: ask for this. So Turkey's having his period. Okay, we're
- 56:29Speaker 1: back on. We realized that Jade's hair is a combination
- 56:33Speaker 1: of horse maneuver, river mud and more horse maneuver. Now,
- 56:36Speaker 1: but I want to go back to I want to
- 56:39Speaker 1: go back to what he said to the princess when
- 56:43Speaker 1: she said something about her boobs. Oh, yes, yes, I
- 56:49Speaker 1: want to rest my face on them, and what you said.
- 56:55Speaker 1: She says, I'm breathing, and he goes, right, right, right,
- 56:57Speaker 1: that's what he says about her boobs going up and down. Right,
- 57:01Speaker 1: But then your boobs were going up and down. Yeah,
- 57:03Speaker 1: I'm breathing, and he goes, I know, can I rest
- 57:05Speaker 1: my face upon them and ponder what you've said? Everybody
- 57:13Speaker 1: loves boobs. Donalds a lot of boob jokes. Sasha is
- 57:18Speaker 1: a mule, Yes, Sasha is a donkey or an ass
- 57:22Speaker 1: or a mule. And the makeup on Ted who's a hunchback,
- 57:32Speaker 1: that was incredible. Oh my god, John, oh my god.
- 57:36Speaker 1: He looked amazing. And Sam Lloyd is just so great
- 57:40Speaker 1: in this episode. He's always great and he says, my
- 57:43Speaker 1: master approaches preferre prepare for his untamed vengeance. And there
- 57:49Speaker 1: we meet Ozlek, who's obviously Kelso spelled backwards and he
- 57:54Speaker 1: is the evil what is he? A wizard? I guess?
- 57:58Speaker 1: So with the power? Did you ever see um, did
- 58:03Speaker 1: you ever see Who's the movie when Mark Zinger back
- 58:05Speaker 1: in the day where he was the Beast the Beast Master.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Did you ever see that? Okay, so in the Beast Master.
- 58:12Speaker 1: For those of you who did see that, and do
- 58:13Speaker 1: remember it. Remember the guys that would freaking wrap you
- 58:17Speaker 1: around you with the cloak on, and then when they
- 58:20Speaker 1: and then freaking they would kill you and devour you.
- 58:22Speaker 1: And then then when they removed the cloak from around you,
- 58:25Speaker 1: you were dead. You were like bones and stuff like that.
- 58:27Speaker 1: That's the power that Kelso's wizard. That's his wizard power.
- 58:31Speaker 1: Like he can can appear out of nowhere, and that's
- 58:34Speaker 1: his freaking power. He's like got the freaking cloak of
- 58:38Speaker 1: darkness and it takes you to this realm and all
- 58:40Speaker 1: of that stuff. That was pretty cool. Like there's a
- 58:42Speaker 1: lot of listen, as much as you want to say,
- 58:46Speaker 1: this is, you know, just a great, great written comedy.
- 58:50Speaker 1: There's a lot of of dungeons and dragons and backstory
- 58:54Speaker 1: put into this. So maino Marshes is princess probably, but
- 59:01Speaker 1: of course it's fairy tales in general. And I guess
- 59:03Speaker 1: you said you would say dungeons and dragons and stuff
- 59:05Speaker 1: like that, But kudos to the writers, aren't this because
- 59:08Speaker 1: that turns into a great joke. Like the question was,
- 59:11Speaker 1: where does everybody go when Kim's character wraps them up
- 59:13Speaker 1: and kills them? And what happens there? Like what what?
- 59:16Speaker 1: What is this power? And when he does it to
- 59:20Speaker 1: j D and Sarah it's really you know, it's like, oh,
- 59:22Speaker 1: is that how they're going to end this episode? That's
- 59:24Speaker 1: that's kind of a you know what I mean, because
- 59:26Speaker 1: there's no end in sight. We're all. I mean, it's
- 59:28Speaker 1: in the same as episode. It's amazing what he packed
- 59:31Speaker 1: into this episode. It's twenty two minutes long. I think,
- 59:33Speaker 1: how much happens in this episode, so the longer episode.
- 59:36Speaker 1: As I was watching it and then I checked the time,
- 59:38Speaker 1: and I was surprised. I was like, We've been a
- 59:40Speaker 1: lot of places. It's so there's so much packed in. Yeah,
- 59:44Speaker 1: it's twenty two minutes. It really let's segment. But also
- 59:49Speaker 1: whoever directed it really brought it, really brought it. Who
- 59:54Speaker 1: did actually this episode it's one of the best. Are
- 59:56Speaker 1: you being facetious? I'm not being facetious. I'm trying to
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: do Sorry, are you being facetious? Do you not know
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: who directed this episode of Chris? I know that it's
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: one of the best episodes we have. Are such a
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: good You're such a good actress. But ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: that's what that's how good an actress? Sorry, Sarah who
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: directed this episode, Zachary Israel Breath. I was hoping you'd
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: say somebody else, but yes, thank you, well, thank you.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: So then we start doing this really cool. Then then
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: it really starts finding a flow of cutting back and
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: forth to the hospital and the fairy tale. And Kelso
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: has this thing, as we said that if you work
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: twelve hours, you're out, you're fired. Doug gets caught working
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: more than twelve hours. So he's just left a body
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: bag in the elevator and the door is closing on it,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: and uh and and and and Kelso makes uh Ted
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: grab it, and Ted cracks his back and now he's
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: cleverly stuck in the position of the hunchback that he
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: plays in the fantasy. And now Turlok go into the
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: potion shop where we meet Fairy Todd Something. Oh my god,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: that outfit is so now did they put him on yeah? Yeah,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: is he sitting on something? No? No, he's on a
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: green screen in a full harness, like like people who
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: fly in movies. They didn't shrink him and make him fly. No,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: we don't have that technology yet, Sarah. Um. No, So
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: we were truly hanging him by the you know, like
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: the he had. What they do is they put an
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: undervest on and they click in hanging cables to your shoulders.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: So that's how he or maybe his waist. Um, that's why.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: That's how he's And then we m you know, put
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: him on a green screen and put him into the scene.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: And that's how you make a sprite? Is that what
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: he is? Well, the other kids later are what do
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: they call him? Would there wood nymphs? So I guess
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: he's a sprite? Is that what that is? Let's tinker Bell?
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: He's whatever, tinker Bell let tak bells a ry. I
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: don't know if he was. He calls himself a fairy
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Todd Something right, But he's more like a sprite his power,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: or more sprightly than like, he's more mischievous than fairy esque,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like at least Shakespeare. You know,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Puck is a sprite, but he serves the king of
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: the fairies. So yeah, but he's but Puck is full sized.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I thought fairies were tiny. I don't know for interpretation.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Um so turk led length the idiot JD the wand
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: and he uses it and gives himself a tail. Why
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: would like, you know what, listen to play with it
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: just for a little bit, but don't do nothun stupid.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Just because he's Turtler, Just because he's Turtla doesn't mean
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: that he doesn't love the JD. But Carla's there was
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: there when it happened. Well, you know, he slipped it.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: You know, he's like, here, are gonna go in the
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: potion shop while Carlo's not looking. Hold on wand. By
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: the way, I was on I did Conan O'Brien's podcast,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: um Audience checked that out. I think it comes out.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: It comes out the week that my film comes out,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: which is the twenty fourth I think of March. I
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: think it comes out of the twentieth or so. But Conan,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: my point is, was so lovely about the show our
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: scrubs and loving it, but also specifically Donald about our
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: our friendship. And he really was very earnest. He wasn't
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: doing any sort of bit or anything. He was just
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: I just he was like, I'm just so he goes
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: I love those commercials of the team of commercials, and
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: he was like, I gotta be honest. I'm not being
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: like this is gonna sound cheesy, but that love actually spoof.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Every time I came on, I found it kind of moving.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: I thought it was like so sweet and anyway, he
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: gave us lots of love love it was. It was Sarah,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: no offense. It was specifically really about me and Donald
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: and in our promance it's it's I. I was completely
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: um aware of that. It's fine, not none taken, none taken,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: note taken Conan. I'm sure that Conan loves you, but
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: he in this instance, he was specifically talking about, well,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: I agree with Conan on this one. You should see
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: his podcast set up. Oh my goodness, Daniel, he shamed
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: you all. All Daniel would need I had if I
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: had the freaking he shames you button, that's what it
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: would be. Daniel. No, he didn't change the ship. I
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: don't think it's just Daniel fa No, it's about budget.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: I think Conen must have the biggest budget in podcast
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: world because it was like going into the Howard Stern Show.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: I mean bigger than da No Dax is. When I
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: did Dax it was just two chairs above his garage.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I don't know if it's changed, but this was like
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: a full real studio with robotic cameras and like a
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: staff of like a talk show sized staff. It was
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: the real real Did you have to do a pre interview? No,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: but it was just like budget hashtag budget the dream.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: But I feel like, I mean, don't you guys prefer
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: just being like just doing it from your Yeah. I
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: don't want to change the thing. I do wish. I
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: do wish it's impossible, but I see people that have
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: shot their podcast so well, and I wish that we
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: had always done that because we could put it on
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: YouTube eventually, but we never really got around to that.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I like what we have. My first question is the
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: best time to Planet Apple Orchid was twenty years ago.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: The second best time is today. We have those cameras
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: to shoot it. Well, we have well Donald doesn't uses Donald,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Donald uses his for animation. We doesn't change the fact
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: that we have it. You and Joel aren't doing Joel,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: you're not on your fancy camera. No, I could plug
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: it in. It's set up. Well, maybe we'll do it
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: for season eight and nine. You guys should, because you're
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: gonna do this podcast forever and ever and ever of
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: all day. No, we're gonna do it live. Guys. We're
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: doing it live. That's what Sarah thinks, that we do
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: it live. Then we take ad breaks. Joel's always counting down.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: Adds over three guys, adds over in three two an
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: you live. No, but we are going on tour, guys,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: this isn't This is a fact. We are actually going
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: on tour. When are you going on tour? We'll have
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: to come with us. We're figuring it out. We're going
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: with us. Do you want in Vancouver? You must do
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: one in Vancouver. I'm not going to leave this conversation.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: So you say you're gonna do one in Vancouver, But
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: then if you do it in Vancouver, you have to
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: be involved. If we do it in Vancouver, then Sarah
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: only does things in Vancouver. Her show was in Vancouver.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: She won't leave, won leave you guys? Is next dinner
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: date will be in Vancouver? Yeah, I know that, I am.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: I will know. I know that I will not see
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Sarah unless she happens to be in Vancouver when I'm there.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: That's not true. I've started to come to La sometime. Yeah,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: but you do only hang out with Casey. You don't
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: hang out with us. Yeah, you know you long. I
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: wouldn't be one time, but you hung out with case
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: You hang out with Casey more than you hang out
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: with me. Yeah. Feelings are heard. Feelings also find me
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: on whistler. Yeah, you got a whistler if you want
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: to visit Sarah. Yes, do live, do live and do
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: one in Vancouver. When are you going to do your
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: life tour? You know yet? TB TBD, TBD. But we're
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: working on it right now. I could put I could
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: say that it's for sure, aren't It's on it's on Donald's.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: It's on Donald's whiteboard. It's not on a whiteboard. This
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: is something that's actually in motion right now. Bro, Well
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: you can put it on the whiteboard still so you
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: can film that. We will film that. I'm just saying,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: like I watch on you know, I'm sure if you
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: guys get these clips on Instagram and your feed that
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: are like podcast you know, clips where someone said something
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: really cool and you're like, wow, that's a cool quote
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: or something. And it was just on a podcast that
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: happens to be beautifully shot because it's also going on
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: YouTube and like that's the new trend. And there I was,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: and Conan's like very fancy studio with robotic cameras, and
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: I'm like, I wish ours looked like this. But also,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: we don't have nine do have it? We have Chico artist, Well,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: you have Chico Artists. Hey, by the way, we haven't
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: given her a shout out for how good her video?
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: No doubt? Oh snap, Sarah, Now we got Sarah. Yeah,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Chico artist. Shit, Chico do me, do me, do me?
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Do me? Whoa Sarah? I want to be part of
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: Chico Artists art. I know we demanded that she do
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: you I mean, give the woman something. I meant her
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: YouTube arts. Okay, I have to say it about Chico Artists.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: You know what's amazing. You might not have noticed this,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: and if you don't know, we're talking about this A
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: young woman on Instagram named Chico Artist, that's her handle,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: and she does lip sync videos to the podcast. Do
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: you notice that each character, you guys, she's doing is
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: a single take it there's no editing, cuts, takes a
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: lot of products. Was watching the whole time. I was like,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: she's not cutting. It's skilled. Yeah, that's right, it's skilled.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Artists want to we want to thank you for for
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: for putting in all the hard work. As always, we
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: like to challenge you. So boo tank forever, woo tank forever. Sarah,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: do you want to make Chico artists say anything? Go
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: ahead and say it. Hmm. I want to do I'm
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: want to do. I'm doing a cheer dance Chico Artists.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: So I'd like to see interpretations of what is happening.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: What do you think I'm doing right now? Everybody everybody's like, yo, listen,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: why don't you say something? Why don't you say something
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: like panics and starts dancing or freaking moving their body
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: or something like that, Chico Artists. Just so, just so
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Chico Artist is able to do this. Sarah is acting
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: like a mine who's stuck in a small box. It
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: looks like a very small box that her upper body
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: is trapped in Well she was. She was acting like that.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: And there was some hips, there was some hit movement,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Chico artists fall safety poo, Well there we go. There
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: were some Germans too, Sarah Deutsch. Okay, Chico artists. He
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: you were more than nuts, shah as I figured, Alice, Yeah,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: there you go, cheek arts, Danel, do you want to
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: come through this time? Danel? All right, Daniel, do you
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: want to say the same thing? Yeah? You know it.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: The last time my dad told me to speak any German,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: he said, go up to this person, say sprek and
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: zee Deutsch. And I was like, okay, I got this.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: I went up to that person, tapped him on the shoulder.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: I went spooky Miluki. They were like, what I was
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: eight years old last time I tried to speak German, honor.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: We weren't asking We weren't asking you to speak German, Daniel.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: We were asking you if you wanted to redeem yourself. Yeah,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: and you didn't. Well did Joel? How have you always
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: jumped to Daniel's defense so quickly? One because I love
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: him too, because is genuinely great. This is too much
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: for cheek artist to do so and cheeko artist and
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: the segment like this cheek artist. Imagine she pulls off
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: the bong and starts smoking. Well, cheega artists, you could
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: pull out a fake bong if you want. We don't
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: want to force the real bong into your hands. You
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: see her face machine that she was hilarious. Yeah, that
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: was beautiful. It was like one of those kids machines.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: It was amazing. Already another break, Sarah, This is gonna
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: be a break. You can do whatever you want. It'll
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: be right and we're back. Sarah told a very long story.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Sarah told a crazy story. And I actually did did
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: chase down the garbage truck this morning because the compost,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: it's composting. When it's compost, you can't leave it for
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: next for a week, So I was chasing. That was real.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: Now I have a question when yeah, when it comes
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: to compost, how long is it supposed to take before
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: it turns into compost? One? And then two? Like, what
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: do you do with all of this shit liking stuff? Well,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: we have weekly pickups, so you're not actually waiting for
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: it to turn into compost. I just heard the tu
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: and I went racing down the driveway. Danil's gonna have
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: the best answer for this at But in LA now
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: we're supposed to do this and it means putting like
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: food scraps in your green bin. Correct, yeah, correct. If
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: you contact La Sannoitation, you can go pick up a
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: free pail from them and they'll give it to you
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: and you just you know, take your food, you know,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: your food waste, put it in the pail and then
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: put it in your green bin. That's what we're supposed
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: to do now. But isn't your food bin gonna isn't
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: a little pail gonna smell unless you're empty it every day.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: It's an excellent points act. They recommend that you put
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: a plastic bag in there, but you don't throw out
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: the plastic bag into the green bin. If you have
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: biodegradable plastic bags, that's different, But otherwise, yeah, you could
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: put a paper bag in there. Yes, callin Sarah I Collins.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: He's raising her hand, everybody, Yes, Sarah, I'm just trying
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: to understand this. So up until now, all of your
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: food scraps just went into the garbage. Yes, yeah, we're
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: into the garbage disposal. However you choose to do it.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: I think that's most of the country. Right, Yeah, LA's trying.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: Eli's trying to be progressive and say, now we're the
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: more progressive state in in uh just La California, Daniel,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: I believe California. I think it's oh maybe, yeah, I
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: mean I just got a notification for La County, so
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: that's all I know. And some people have been composting
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: on their own for years. All of California is trying
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: to be green by thirty thirty thirty, by thirty thirty,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: twenty thirty, we're trying to go green by thirty thirty five. No,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: you know what I meant. I didn't you met. I
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: didn't know what you met you said thirty thirty thirty five.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: I was trying to do it like that twenty thirty,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: twenty thirty five, something like that. You can't hate me now,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: but I won't stop now. You can't hate me now, Okay,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: we stop now. Okay, So ferry time something, um turn
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: clothe the eighty of the wand um oh fairy. Todd says,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: you know I have a big wand if you want
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: to hold it, and then he says banana hammock fairy five,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: and then we cut back to reality and he says,
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: I love slapping people five, And so Elliott says, we
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: have to page him in the in the hospital world,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: and then we cut before we before we go further,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Carla uses the high five as a form of leverage
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: to skip ahead of the Todd, who's waiting at the
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: lab for a sample. But Carla wants to say her
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: sample first so that she can help Elliot, right, so
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: she you know, so she ate, she ransoms the five
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: away from the Todd and he lets her go forward,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: and Todd says something like, still can high fives something
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: like that. It was cute, Still allowed to high five? Yeah,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: I love to high five. I just love high fiving people. Um,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: so Elliott has to page from then that's clever. We
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: cut to the fairytale world and she sends a dove,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: which is the equivalent of paging someone back in the day,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: and then comes in the most brave, handsome, sexy, badass
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: night doctor Cox and um, he goes in to try
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: and fight the monster and gets the shit kicked out
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: of him. Yeah, the monster pieces. I thought that was
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: a great Cowboys switch. When the monster there's a shot
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: where the monster curls him out of the hut and
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: it's it's it's really well done because it's Johnny sees
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: stunt double taking the giant um stunt toss and then
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Johnny Ce pops up in the foreground without a cut.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: It was really cool. Did you guys notice that, Yes,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: I love a cowboy switch. Yeah, it was a pretty
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: dope Cowboys. We do it pretty well known scrubs man,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: you love a cowboys switch? Backwards cowboy switch? Well, I
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: learned it on Zach definitely trying to just make a
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: sex joke there. It's reverse reverse cowgirls switch. I don't
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: even know what to say, but it's a clever sex joke, Sarah.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: For those of you who haven't listened to the episodes
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: where we talk about cowboys, which it's when you don't
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: cut the stuntman or woman does something really crazy and
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: then the actor who's playing the actor is somehow swapped
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: out without cutting. They pop up in the foreground or something.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: That's a cowboy switch. But what's a reverse cowgirl switch? Act?
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: That's what I wanted. I didn't know the lingo I tried.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: I don't know what it's called. Sarah, you know what
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: a reverse cowgirl is? Come on, don't act like you're
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: an innocent Vancouver woman. Back to the show. All right,
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: so this is my best guests. Don't have that power.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: He's trying to be like Bill. Now James the subject
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: my podcast podcast best line of the past, but the
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: best line of the whole show. Are you out of
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: your mind? Woman? We only got one ball? I don't
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: do it. We only got one ball. Now, that's funny
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: because Turla probably that's a really interesting that's a really
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: interesting set of genitalia right there. Like I would I
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: personally would be interested in seeing yeah, because it would
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: be half ball and shaft. Hopefully there's enough shaft to
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: use half vulva. I'm can excuse well if the genitalia
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: is split down the middle, right, Um, and we know
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: that Turla is a very sexual being. Yes, how does
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: it hook up with itself? We'll just leave the audience
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: to audience. You can daydream on that. That's on y'all.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Whatever you're thinking, that's on y'all's brain. That's on y'all's brain. Yeah,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: it's another as Bill, whatever you're thinking, that's on y'all's brain.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: We didn't say that. We say, Um, all right, let's
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: talk it we gotta we gotta wrap it up soon
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: because we know it's not every way. One of the
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: funniest things was Neil getting a shoelace tied and he's like,
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: my uncle's family was killed by a madman hacking to pieces. Yeah, um,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: we've got a long time, but that's okay. This is
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: an epic episode and we have chalk um. So then
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Jordan is the scary old lady in the bushes and
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: then we reveal that it's her with a face mask on.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: I thought that was really cute. Um, she's saying Perry
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: let him go to bed and um. And then we
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: go to the commercial. That's the whole first act of
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: the show. Polish really at the first act, I know,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: and I just saw that the way Donald Donald had
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: such a great line um that we can't skip overs
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: is baby, maybe you could love the monster to sleep?
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: Was one of your boring stories about your damn family.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: That's when she punches him in the ball m and
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: I'm seeing this Cowboys switch I'm talking about. King comes
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: after the commercial break. It's in act. It's opens act
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: two of the show. Um, and that's where are you
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: out your mind? No, no, there's no breaks, there's no break.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: We're just going to keep it. And then we learn
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: that we need the golden ring, so um and he
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: and then we hear remember what you heard when you
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: weren't even listening, Okay, So that becomes sort of the
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: theme we need to remember. That's what we get told
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: by the night. It's really interesting we're learning this year
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: how important Sarah's patient of sorry, how important Elliot's patients
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: are to her. But in the last episode, we learned
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: that Elliot was you guys on that quest to find
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: out if she if the patient was still alive or
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: if the patient got sick, because yeah, because of the
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: diabetes drug and plumox right right, But what was her
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: reasoning for it? Like, is it because in this one
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: she's doing it because she really wants to save this
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: She wants to figure out what's wrong with this young
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: girl and why her kidneys are failing? Yeah, that one
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: and that one it was. It was she was concerned
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: that the drug Plomax had hurt one of her patients
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: were killed him with diabetes. But again, keep in mind,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: these weren't supposed to be next to each other. But
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out there could be a connection
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: in both of them because the storyline is still very
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: similar where Elliot Elliott likes to go on quest with
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: j D just that, but not only quest with JD,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: but quests for her patients to try, you know, for
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: it's there all noble quests. Yes, Elliott doesn't give up
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: on a patient, that's for darn sure. She she she'll
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: do anything to figure things out. Along the road, we
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: run into Elliott and JD are riding the donkey, and
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: they run into Ted and the janitor and U and
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: Ted says something that made me laugh. He says, I
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: tell most people I'm under an evil spell, but really
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: it's a self esteem thing. It's all confidence thing. And
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: then we get captured and Elliott and j D and
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: we get sent to the dungeon where we see Doug's
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: head on a stick. Yes, um, And we try and kiss,
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: which was funny with with our, with our, she admits,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: twas I I tried to kiss you, Andy, we're too
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: far apart to kiss. They were like trying to reach.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: We're all chained up to the wall, trying to reach
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: a little more tongue. Yeah, we can't reach. And then
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: Ted is on a stick. I said that, right, But
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: then we're in office with Kelso, and Kelso is explaining
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: why he have to go home, and You're like, I'm
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: private practice. Eliot's like, I'm private practice, and JD's like,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: and I have no patient interaction when I'm with rolling
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: with us. So you're not gonna you can't get sued
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: for this because it starts off with him saying I'm
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: gonna you guys are suspended or something like that, right, yeah,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: And then he's not wearing pants. Yeah, he says, I
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: can do whatever I want to show this off. He
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: stands up and he's wearing boxers. Find would have been
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: fired right then and there nowadays nowadays, guess what, no, no, yeah, no,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: that's a rap. So then now we encounter the Wooden Nymphs,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: and the wooden Nymphs who are the interns provide us
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: with a golden ring. And then in the real life, uh, well,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: you guys, remember what you heard, and that which from
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: the Wilson Wilson's disease, which which cleverly these genius writers,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: is a little golden ring around the iris. That's that's
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: how you find it. So and how about that set
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: transition back into the ICU. Oh my god, that was
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: so wonder I've forgotten that that was so cool. I
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: think I think it was Zach Braft. Not really a
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: horse rider, are you? But no, I mean I'm certainly
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: not an expert enough to look good. Did you ever
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: put it on your resume when you were younger? Probably
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: put everything on their hockey, rowing, rowing because the ideology
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: was like, the ideology was like, just when you get
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: the job, you'll figure that shit out. You'll learn, you'll
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: figure it out. The problem is the problem is now
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: that you're a director and you hire someone that says
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: like like, yeah, I can play soccer, and then you
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: go to film it and you see how badly they
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: are in soccer. You're like, oh, I can't believe that anymore. Right,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: And also, as a kid, I feel like when you
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: put that shit on there and you were like hockey
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: like you would just you'd actually would figure it out.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Now that we're in our forties, you can't just figure
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: that shit out. I'm trying try to learn how to
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: play hockey, putting no play on my resume. Shit. But
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: Sarah Sarah says she's learning to play now in her forties. Oh,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: good for you, you know, but you're not a skate Nope,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: did not grow up skating. Only Canadian did not. That's right.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: Learning Now everybody else could skate. You couldn't. I've never
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: it's it's so hard. It's so hard in such a
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: hard surface. But Sarah, you can dance. Um, oh, okay,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: another dance everybody. Oh it's a bit of a twerk
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: now everyone. I didn't get to see it, but it
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: was a twerk and I get it. Go Getter Nation
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: should send you some some some sweatpants for twerking in
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: their sweatpants like that. Oh I think I think they should.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: I think they should. Oh yeah, okay, wait wait wait,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: before we were on the horse, you've sent something really funny, Zach,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: missing one of my favorite life missing what you could
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: have had when you tried to kiss me good moral
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: instead of good moral. And then it wraps up as
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: the night goes through town and the camera cranes through
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: the village and I, those of you who like mistakes,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: I didn't see this obviously. I would have fixed it probably,
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: or if I could have. But when Sarah and I
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: are up on that bridge around twenty one twenty, you
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: can clearly see that she's on standing on Plywood and
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: I'm standing on black boxes. As a director, that really
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: annoyed me that that wasn't taken care of. So if
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: you like mistakes, there's one for you. But overall, a
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: great episode everybody, and Sarah, it's so fun to have
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: you here. Big shout out to Cox and Jordan at
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: the end with the cute little scene by the door
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: turns tragic and it really makes you feel it, you
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: know what I mean. Where Jordan's listening the whole time
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: and she's like, so, what happened? Did the girl get
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: the new kidney? Did the girl? Did she live? What happened?
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: What's the end of the story. Is that how it ends?
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: He's like, well that's how I'm telling it. Oh yeah,
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: He's like everything turned out fine. She's like it really
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: did it? And he's like, well that's how I'm telling it.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: That's great because it gives you this scrubs gut punch fashion.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: Yeah you know what really happened? Yeah they were too late. Yeah,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: so well done, So well done by everybody involved and
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: U and I'm just so I'm proud of it. If
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: you if you're if you're someone who revisits Scrubs episodes.
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: Check this one out because I think it's it's definitely
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: I think one of my favorite ones. And uh, it's
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: particularly special. There's a great episode, Zach Um. Thank you.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: Good you do. Really I'm not gonna lie man. You
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: do do very good episodes and movies. Thank you. I'm
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: very excited for everybody out there shameless plug to see
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: A Good Person pleas. I can't wait to see it. Donald,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: have you seen it? Have you already gotten to see it?
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: I've had seen it already. I've seen it already. I
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: can't wait to see it. Thank you, Sarah, and um please, Um,
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna be doing a screening in Seattle. Maybe you'd
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: be maybe you'd come to that. That's close enough to you. Um.
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: But everybody, please, if you haven't yet, check out the
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: trailer for A Good Person. It's on YouTube under a
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: Good Person trailer. And we got some more content that'll
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: be rolling out very soon and it comes out in
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: March twenty fourth at a theater near you. All Right,
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: I love you guys, Sarah, We love you you guys. Good.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: This is how I know, this is how I know
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: we have something special. We were up on this motherfucker
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: for an hour and thirty three minutes, or we could
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: do we could do two hours with Sarah felt like
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: ten minutes if I had a chat I had a
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: chat GPT scene for us to do. But we'll do
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: it next time when Sarah, you don't want to do it. Now,
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: we're getting real long. I mean an hour and a half.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: I feel like it's a bit long. They love it
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: when we go long, they do love it. I'm just saying,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: all right, do you want to quickly do a chat
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: GBT scenes? Yeah? All right, Sarah. Do you know what
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: this is? Sarah, I don't fill me in? All right,
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: so I'm gonna text you. I get your phone out. Um,
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: we had aire is a thing called chat ABT that
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: will write scenes, and I had it write a scene.
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: I'll give you the prompt that I gave it, and
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: it wrote a scrub scene. I'm gonna text it to
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: you right now. Okay, I'll read the stage directions all
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: right everyone, so um, sorry, we're gonna stay and do
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: one quick chat GPT scene for you. I will read
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: the stage directions. Sarah, you will read the part of Elliott.
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: The only instruction I gave chat GBT was to write
