- 1:02Repeat. Impossible.
- 1:05The tease engaged in crying. My grasp, my throat raised my
- 1:16mind. That's too small for some.
- 1:21Hello, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Brett Keene, and you
- 1:25were watching and listening to The Brett Keene Show.
- 1:28I thought I would share a story about Christianity in my past,
- 1:33my childhood, and what Christianity means to me and why
- 1:38I feel like there's a lot of problems and a lot of issues.
- 1:41Before I get into this, I want to let you know that there are a
- 1:45handful of people out there, literally a handful of people,
- 1:48at least in social media, that I consider actual Christians who
- 1:52are living up to the ways of Jesus, but only handful out of
- 1:581,000,000. Frank Turek recently asked the
- 2:02question. He said, from your observation,
- 2:06why are millennials abandoning Christianity?
- 2:09And I wrote because Christianity fails like every other group.
- 2:13Fake people who wear a label but don't live up to it.
- 2:16Luckily, I put my faith in God and trust.
- 2:19Christianity has not been good to me at all.
- 2:23As many of you know, I used to be a former atheist.
- 2:27I was an atheist for many years of my life, from my teenage
- 2:30years all the way up into my adult life.
- 2:36I ended up doing a lot of praying to God, a lot of asking
- 2:41God to be able to help out some people that I love, people that
- 2:45were sick and something miraculous happened for my
- 2:50daughter, as well as some other events in my life where if God
- 2:55had not intervened, I would not be here right now talking to you
- 3:00or having a conversation. But I can assure you that
- 3:03Christianity itself and Christians themselves were of no
- 3:09help in keeping the faith or keeping strong in this.
- 3:14It was all on God. I'll tell you a couple good
- 3:19stories about Christians, but I'm also going to tell you some
- 3:23pretty damn negative stories. And I believe that the handful
- 3:26of Christians out there who do respect me and and love me and
- 3:30all that kind of stuff, they'll probably be able to relate and
- 3:33identify with a lot of the stories that I'm telling you.
- 3:36And the reason why I'm telling these stories is I'm explaining
- 3:40to you why some non believers, even if they are sincerely
- 3:44honest and they're looking and they're searching, they're not
- 3:47gonna find what they're looking for through Christianity,
- 3:50period. They're not.
- 3:52In fact, I'm actually concerned that if some atheists find
- 3:56themselves in the same position as myself, they may get wrecked.
- 4:01Even worse if they put themselves in the position that
- 4:05I put myself into where I ended up labeling myself Christian.
- 4:10And so on. You will notice if you watch my
- 4:13videos too. My closest friends notices I
- 4:18defend God's word and I defend God, but I do not normally
- 4:25defend Christianity and its actions.
- 4:28I feel like Christianity has become a separate entity from
- 4:32the Christians that are mentioned in the Bible.
- 4:35I believe that at one point in time Christians used to be about
- 4:39Jesus Christ and about God. Nowadays, I don't.
- 4:43And believe it or not, that's actually prophecy.
- 4:46If you read the Bible and you read the Book of Revelation,
- 4:49you'll see that it says that the heart will grow cold.
- 4:52A lot of religious people will turn away, they will abandoned,
- 4:55they will betray God, and a lot of them will find themselves in
- 5:02a time period. Some will call it a tribulation,
- 5:06some will call it pre rapture after rapture.
- 5:09Whatever words they give it where they think that some
- 5:13people will be left behind, others will be raptured away
- 5:17just in time before things get really horrible.
- 5:23Being that there's so many different denominations of
- 5:26Christianity, whether Christians want to say that this is a
- 5:31Christian denomination or not, or they're fakes, There's more
- 5:35minister of witnesses, there's Catholics, and then there's like
- 5:3930,000 different versions of Christianity.
- 5:42A person who's on the outside of this could get very confused if
- 5:48you were to talk to someone who believes in free will and then
- 5:50turn around, talk to a different Christian who's a Calvinist.
- 5:54And I have found myself in many live debates and discussions
- 5:57where Christians are arguing with each other over and over
- 6:01about how God views things or how God perceives things.
- 6:05And it's so fascinating because I know that all these Christians
- 6:10from these different denominations, they're in the
- 6:12same boat as I am. They don't know any more about
- 6:16God's behavior or how God is going to do something except for
- 6:22their interpretation of how God may do things in the Bible.
- 6:27But you know, there's been times, even in the Bible, where
- 6:30God did things that people did not expect because they felt
- 6:34like God was predictable. They felt like they had known so
- 6:39much about God in the past that God would act the same way in
- 6:45the future. That's not necessarily true,
- 6:48ladies and gentlemen. When Jesus came along claiming
- 6:52to be God, claiming to be the Son of God and all this, a lot
- 6:56of people, especially those who were on the side of Jesus
- 7:01Christ, those who followed him, they expected him to be a
- 7:05revolutionary warrior. They expected him to amass a
- 7:10huge amount of followers and then take out the Roman
- 7:14government, take out all kinds of different bad systems,
- 7:18correct. A lot of the broken evil that
- 7:21was going on with the Sadducees and the Pharisees, they expected
- 7:26a God that was going to come in and be like Donald Trump or
- 7:30something where he was just going to lay if the hammer down
- 7:33and do things when Jesus started talking about love and turn the
- 7:37other cheek and you know, let people slap you, you know about
- 7:42the cheek, all this kind of stuff.
- 7:44They didn't expect that these were people who were diseased,
- 7:48they were sick, they were unhealthy, they were unhappy,
- 7:52they were being taxed at the ass.
- 7:55They were barely surviving, and they were dealing with a Bad
- 8:01Religion back then, as well as a corrupt government, kind of like
- 8:06what we do nowadays. And they really expected Jesus
- 8:09to be more than what he was talking about.
- 8:14A lot of his teachings and his lessons were beautiful, and it's
- 8:17a thing that you could live by, But people wanted more.
- 8:21They wanted actual physical action.
- 8:24They wanted destruction to come to Rome.
- 8:26They wanted to be able to push out all the pagans out of
- 8:30Jerusalem and all that, and they wanted God to basically take
- 8:34over and bring his Kingdom down to earth and rule over evil and
- 8:41good. But that wasn't what Jesus's
- 8:44plan was, at least not at that point in time.
- 8:52A lot of people felt disappointed, and a lot of
- 8:55people, including those who followed Jesus, were skeptical
- 8:58even whenever he was crucified. And they didn't understand for
- 9:02the life of them why it was that this man who claimed to be God
- 9:07or the Son of God, who had all these great powers, why was he
- 9:12being crucified? Why was he being killed for?
- 9:15Why wasn't he blasting them with fireballs or bringing lightning
- 9:20and hell from the sky and wrath and destruction like on Sodom
- 9:24and Gomorrah? Why wasn't he drowning the
- 9:26earth? Why wasn't he doing something
- 9:28about all the corruption and evil?
- 9:31Instead, he was allowing himself to be whipped and beaten and
- 9:34then crucified. Is it?
- 9:35No wonder the disciples questioned what was going on.
- 9:39They they were confused. They didn't understand what was
- 9:43up. Why is this happening for?
- 9:46Why is God allowing the human race to dissect him, butchering
- 9:53torture him? They didn't know.
- 10:00The Bible has a lot of very interesting teachings and a lot
- 10:04of different philosophy. God, Jesus Christ, tends to
- 10:10react differently in some scenarios that God acted
- 10:15differently in the Old Testament, and that's one of the
- 10:19reasons why some people say, how can Jesus be God?
- 10:21How can this be the case? Yadda yadda yadda.
- 10:27In the end, all of us figure out that it's a plan, it's a part of
- 10:31some kind of reason. God's trying to make a statement
- 10:35or he's trying to give us a message.
- 10:37He's trying to tell us something.
- 10:40And some of us, we just simply don't interpret it.
- 10:42We don't understand it. We're like the disciples who
- 10:45follow him with full faith and trust.
- 10:48We just don't know exactly what this plan surmounts to and we
- 10:54don't know also. One of the other problems is you
- 10:57have all these Christians out here who all believe they're
- 11:00going to get to heaven, Yet Jesus Christ says the way is
- 11:03narrow. There's going to be a lot of
- 11:06people who label themselves to us and claim this and that, and
- 11:09then they're not. They're basically going to be
- 11:12screwed. So it's not like you can just go
- 11:16to church, sit down and pray a couple times, and then all of a
- 11:20sudden it gets fixed. Then you got a bunch of
- 11:23Christians who were saying, Nah, you don't have to do anything.
- 11:26All you have to do is believe, and you're fine as long as some
- 11:31guy that you don't even know what he's doing in his life,
- 11:34some big time center who just claims to be a preacher says
- 11:38that you're saved and because he ducked you in water, you are
- 11:43supposedly going to heaven just by having some words chanted
- 11:47over you and then having this little ritual that took about 5
- 11:52minutes. Supposedly this cleans off all
- 11:54the evil that you've ever done or wrongs or things that you
- 11:57ever thought about. And there's that.
- 12:01So it's not surprising really, is it, that there's a bunch of
- 12:05people who are skeptical of this, who don't believe that
- 12:10mere rituals are going to solve the world's problems, nor answer
- 12:15the question of origin and our existence and why suffering and
- 12:19evil even exist in the 1st place.
- 12:22It was one of the reasons why I was a non believer.
- 12:24It just seemed like some of it was just nonsense or greasy
- 12:29grace or just ways for people to be able to keep your ass in the
- 12:33seat so they could have yet another person that they could
- 12:37collect money from with their plate.
- 12:42So I remember whenever I was a child, my mother attended many,
- 12:50many different churches. See, my mother wasn't content
- 12:54with some of the churches. Some of the churches interpreted
- 12:58the Bible differently than herself, and she didn't feel
- 13:02like she was getting what she wanted out of it.
- 13:04So she would go to different churches and try them out and
- 13:08all that, but she wasn't just going to church so she could
- 13:11hear about God or try to find the right religion or the right
- 13:14version of it or the right brand.
- 13:17She was a woman who was taking care of three children all by
- 13:20herself. So she was also looking for a
- 13:23place where she could get support and she could find
- 13:26friendship and people to help her.
- 13:28She was also looking for physical needs like food and
- 13:33help with bills. Because when you're a single
- 13:36mother and you're struggling and you can't afford babysitters, or
- 13:40you can't afford proper schooling or proper anything,
- 13:43and you can't put food into the stomachs of your children, a
- 13:48woman will go out of her way, including a man.
- 13:51If they truly love their kids and they're trying to survive,
- 13:55they're going to do whatever it takes.
- 13:56Unfortunately my mother found herself in many occasions, very
- 14:00disappointed. I remember she took me to this
- 14:03one church that she thought was going to be really good and she
- 14:07sat me right in the front row and I was just about, I'd say 12
- 14:12years old. This would be about a year
- 14:14before my grandmother died in front of me from cancer.
- 14:18And this preacher started going on this big ass rant about how
- 14:22he used to be a Sinner, how he used to have sex with lots of
- 14:25women and do lots of drugs and all that and drink all the time
- 14:29and gamble. And he just basically named off
- 14:32a list of all the terrible things he did before he found
- 14:35Jesus. And then he walked up to me and
- 14:38decided to target me out of all the people that were sitting
- 14:41there. And he goes, Sonny boy, I used
- 14:44to be just like you see, whenever I was young, I looked
- 14:47older. If you look at me on video, you
- 14:51would probably think this guy's like, you know, 50 something
- 14:54years old or 60. A lot of people make that
- 14:57mistake because I have Gray hair.
- 14:59I have premature Gray hair. Well, when whenever I was a kid,
- 15:03I actually had Gray hair as well.
- 15:06I was my friends used to call me Moses because I had the big
- 15:10bushy white wiry hair, you know, like what you see in the 10
- 15:15Commandments cover of films and all that.
- 15:19So the preacher, to get back to the story, he pointed his finger
- 15:23at me and he said, young man, I used to be just like you.
- 15:26I used to do this and do that and do that.
- 15:29And basically what he did was he was saying that I was a bad
- 15:33person and that he used to be like me, but I hadn't done
- 15:37anything that he'd ever done. I was only like 11-12 years old.
- 15:42I had never took a sip of alcohol before.
- 15:44I had never done drugs. In fact, I was completely
- 15:47against drugs. I used to go to a classroom at
- 15:52school where they taught kids a war on drugs.
- 15:56That's what was happening during my time.
- 15:58Whenever I was a kid, there's a big war on drugs, and I was
- 16:06actually trying to do well in school.
- 16:08I was trying to be good to people and all that, even though
- 16:12I wasn't sure what my place was with God.
- 16:14But now I've got this person who doesn't know anything about me
- 16:20do is making an example out of me in front of all the other
- 16:23Christians out there. Just made the decision that I
- 16:27would become part of their rant and that they would bounce off
- 16:30me like I was a podium and spill out all the stuff and accuse me
- 16:35of being a bad, shitty person like they used to be before they
- 16:40found God. The sad thing was, is even
- 16:44though my mother was attending all these churches, I was
- 16:47already sold on the idea that there was a God back then.
- 16:51You didn't have to save me. You didn't have to dunk me.
- 16:54You didn't have to do any of these things.
- 16:56I already believed that there was a creator of the universe.
- 16:59I already believed in God and I was already attempting to be the
- 17:04best person I could be. In fact, I helped my mother take
- 17:08care of my brother and sister because she didn't have anybody
- 17:11else. I'm a little kid who's trying to
- 17:14take upon the father role. I'm trying to be an adult
- 17:19whenever I'm basically losing my childhood, and now I'm being
- 17:23told that I'm a fucking piece of trash by a person I don't even
- 17:26know who's supposed to be an authority figure in religion.
- 17:32So things like that really turned me off.
- 17:39I got to realize, and at a very young age, that a lot of
- 17:43Christians like to hear themselves talk, but they don't
- 17:46like to listen. They don't like to ask
- 17:48questions. The preacher could have asked
- 17:51me, what do you do in school? You know, tell me a little bit
- 17:54about yourself instead of predetermine or assume that I'm
- 17:58an awful, fucking horrible person that deserves to burn in
- 18:01hell. He could have actually had a
- 18:04conversation with me. He could have kept me out of his
- 18:06little fucking rant and talk to me later and said welcome to our
- 18:10church, you know, it's nice to meet you.
- 18:13What's your name? All that kind of shit.
- 18:15He didn't know what my fucking name was and he decided to, you
- 18:19know, pound me with that bullshit.
- 18:26I had a lot of incidences like that, ladies and gentlemen.
- 18:30I remember my mother attended A Pentecostal church and there
- 18:34were people who were yapping and what they call tongue, you know,
- 18:39the the, the, the, the, the kind of stuff.
- 18:42They call it the angelic language.
- 18:45I seen people flopping up and down on the ground.
- 18:48I seen a woman who was obese, wearing no fucking underwear in
- 18:53church, and she went into one of her like she was possessed or
- 18:57something in church. And she ended up pissing all
- 18:59over the aisle where people walk because she was frantic and
- 19:04doing the whole voices and blah blah blah shit Some people.
- 19:08If you would have seen her on video and not known the context
- 19:12of what was happening, you probably would have thought she
- 19:15was demonically possessed. But she was claiming that she
- 19:18was being filled with the spirit of God and she flipped the fuck
- 19:21out. And this was bringing full
- 19:25attention to herself. And what was even creepier about
- 19:30it is it was clear that she was mentally ill and unstable, but
- 19:34the way the people wrapped around her in a crowd and said,
- 19:39oh praise Jesus, praise God, praise.
- 19:43You know when it was clear as day that she was just making a
- 19:48spectacle of herself for attention, and I got to know the
- 19:52lady later on and shit, and it was clear that she wasn't well,
- 19:57that she had all kinds of serious problems.
- 20:01And it seemed like every fucking week that we went to that
- 20:04church, that woman would have her little moment where the
- 20:07Spirit would get in there and then everybody get excited like
- 20:10they're at a fucking rock concert.
- 20:12And that, to be honest with you, is embarrassing.
- 20:16It was it was fucking terrifying knowing that at a certain time
- 20:21during the sermon, the woman was gonna just go into one of her
- 20:25fucking behavior, misfit problems.
- 20:29So yeah, I've been to churches where they brought in snakes.
- 20:37I've been in churches where they hit you upside the head or swing
- 20:41their coats at you trying to heal the the sinful cancer
- 20:45that's inside of you. I've I've experienced so much
- 20:48fucking bullshit. And then finally, when I got old
- 20:51enough to where I can tell my mother no, I'm not going to
- 20:54these fucking things anymore. I'm not see my mother.
- 20:59She was desperate. She was looking for healing.
- 21:02She was looking for something to help her with her severe
- 21:05depression and she was also physically sick.
- 21:09She got to the point where she couldn't even work anymore.
- 21:12She got to the point where she wasn't able to mother her
- 21:16children anymore. It was all left on me.
- 21:19And then finally, whenever it got too overwhelming for myself,
- 21:22the government stepped in, took my brother and sister and
- 21:25myself, separated us and put us through a multitude of foster
- 21:30care, where then I ended up even seeing more churches and more
- 21:35denominations. So by the time I was a teenager,
- 21:38I was fucking absolutely disgusted with the whole
- 21:42Christian religion scene. I'd seen so many fakes.
- 21:45I had seen so much bullshit at the time.
- 21:47Whenever I was a kid, I wasn't smoking cigarettes.
- 21:51I actually was against smoking cigarettes.
- 21:53But I remember going to a Catholic Church and the priest
- 21:57was actually smoking a cigarette and drinking a wine outside.
- 22:01And I asked him what the fuck he was doing and he said, well,
- 22:04Jesus turned water in the wine and therefore it's OK for him to
- 22:08drink fucking alcohol right before going into one of his
- 22:12little mass spills or whatever. So I ended up becoming an
- 22:18atheist for many years and yadda yadda yadda and I my faith went
- 22:23back into God, but it never really went back into
- 22:26Christianity at all. I never really I seen that a lot
- 22:31of I tried going into churches. My wife tried 1st and I remember
- 22:36when she went and I was still on the fence of should I be a
- 22:42skeptic? Should I be, should I be open to
- 22:45the idea there's a God. My wife was starting to get
- 22:48spiritual again and she went to a church and when they found out
- 22:52that she was married to Brett Keene because I live in a small
- 22:56town, everybody knew what I was about.
- 22:58They knew I had made YouTube videos.
- 23:00They actually tried to convince her to leave me that she was
- 23:04unevenly yoked is what they called it.
- 23:07They said that she should be with a good Christian man who
- 23:09gives a fuck, that she's got a baby with me, that we have a
- 23:12son. They were literally trying to
- 23:15break up our marriage and thought that it would be better
- 23:18if she was married to someone who was labeled Christian.
- 23:23So again, I probably would have been a believer in God even
- 23:28sooner at the church, not tried to personally damage my fucking
- 23:33marriage. I feel like the church causes a
- 23:41lot more problems than it does good.
- 23:43I believe that when people are looking for answers and they're
- 23:48looking for the truth, unfortunately, Christianity is
- 23:53like solid bar theology. It's like a buffet.
- 23:56You have no idea what you're about to step into when you step
- 24:00into a church. A lot of these atheists and non
- 24:03believers, they don't know what it is they're getting themselves
- 24:05into. All they know is that they might
- 24:08be open to the idea of God. So they see a local church, they
- 24:14step into it and they don't know if there's going to be fucking
- 24:16snakes in there. They don't know if they're going
- 24:19to be seeing people jumping up and down like fucking dumb zoo
- 24:21animals. They have no idea if they're
- 24:24going to get screamed at, yelled at, are told that they're a
- 24:27fucking bad person who deserves to burn in hell.
- 24:32And that's why I feel sorry for some non believers.
- 24:36Because I do know that a majority of atheists are
- 24:39assholes and they're arrogant and they're pompous and they're
- 24:43in the blasphemy and mockery. It's like a fucking hobby for
- 24:46them. Some of them even profit off of
- 24:47it, but there are sometimes there's one or two or even five
- 24:54of them that may say, you know what, this naturalism shit, this
- 24:59idea that the universe came from nothing, This isn't working for
- 25:03me. I want to see if there's more to
- 25:04it. So then they'll go to a church
- 25:09because they figure, you know, some people get this idea that
- 25:14when they pray, sometimes it seems as though God doesn't
- 25:17respond to them right away. Some people think that if God
- 25:20doesn't speak to you in an audible voice and he's not
- 25:23listening, sometimes God doesn't say a word but he changes
- 25:27something in your path or helps you in some kind of way through
- 25:31action as opposed to words. Well, some non believers don't
- 25:38get that. They don't understand that.
- 25:40They figure they got to be around a lot of people who have
- 25:43the hocus pocus magic in order to be able to see results.
- 25:47They get around the hocus pocus people and the hocus pocus
- 25:50people turn out to be hypocrites and liars and thieves and
- 25:54boasting sinners and shed and then everything goes down the
- 25:58fucking tube. Since I ended up going along
- 26:08with the label of Christian, which for the longest time I
- 26:11fought hard to just call myself a God believer and a theist, I
- 26:22been around Christians. And I've been at a very There's
- 26:26been many times in my life where I find myself on a fork in the
- 26:30road, or I find myself in darkness and I rely and I depend
- 26:34on God. But if I reach out to
- 26:37Christians, they will give me some kind of justification or
- 26:40excuse why they won't support me or why they won't help me.
- 26:45I mean, ladies and gentlemen, here I am a popular former
- 26:49atheist who I became a fairly popular theist religious person.
- 26:55And I had Christians who claimed to be my friend in private.
- 27:00And then they would not want to have me on their broadcast or
- 27:05their shows simply because they didn't like the way I looked or
- 27:09because the way I talked. They didn't like the fact that I
- 27:12admittedly cuss or they thought I was too colorful.
- 27:17Some of them, they thought I was too harsh on non believers.
- 27:22And what's funny about that is whenever these religious people
- 27:26began becoming more popular themselves and they were
- 27:29destroyed by atheist or atheist attempted to embarrass them or
- 27:34make them look like a fool on the Internet, guess who they
- 27:37went to in order to get help me, you know, oh Bright, you were
- 27:42right. You you were right.
- 27:44You know, Brad, I'm about to debate a whole bunch of these
- 27:47people and you know how to deal with them because you were a
- 27:50former atheist. Why don't you come in and help
- 27:53me out? Why don't you come, you know, be
- 27:55a part of the debate or the discussion?
- 27:59They didn't want to be my friend.
- 28:01They just wanted someone to protect them.
- 28:03Whenever the fucking Dragons came out and the snakes were let
- 28:07loose, none of these people called me up and asked me how I
- 28:11was doing, how you feel and how's your health issues.
- 28:14You know? Do you need anything?
- 28:16Christmas is coming up. Your birthday's coming up.
- 28:19Would you like something? Nothing like that.
- 28:22Only whenever they needed me. Only whenever they knew that
- 28:26they were taking on somebody that they thought was scary or
- 28:30uncomfortable in a debate or a discussion.
- 28:35You know what that feels like When people don't want to be
- 28:38your friend and they don't consider you a part of their
- 28:40family, but they'll call you up and contact you whenever they
- 28:44need you to do something for them, but they won't do Dick for
- 28:49you. I got a friend named TTOR out
- 28:53there where he'll e-mail me from time to time and he'll say
- 28:57Brett, how you doing, man? I hope you're feeling well.
- 28:59I hope the family's good and it's things like that that
- 29:03really brighten my day. That's what you would expect a
- 29:06brother in Christ to do when you have a a woman contact you and
- 29:12say, I hope everything's going good and everything.
- 29:15I've been praying for you and God loves you and I love you and
- 29:19all that. This is beautiful and it really
- 29:23makes my day. It really helps me, especially
- 29:27if I'm depressed and I'm feeling like my back's up against the
- 29:30wall. But usually if I get contacted
- 29:35by a religious person, I am not asked how I feel.
- 29:38I'm not asked if I'm doing OK. My family is not asked about.
- 29:42My children's well-being is not asked about.
- 29:46Instead it's I got a debate on Friday.
- 29:49You know, I got this thing where I'm going to have like 5
- 29:52atheists. Will you come in and do this
- 29:54shit like this? And I used to do it over and
- 29:57over and over For the last two years though, I kind of slowed
- 30:01it down. I just stopped.
- 30:03I just told these people, Nah, fuck you.
- 30:06No, that's all you want me for is just to be a person in your
- 30:10room, to bring you views. You just want someone to help
- 30:14you basically slam bam, thank you, ma'am, to the demons that
- 30:21you've allowed to come into your room to mock and blasphemy.
- 30:24God, that's what you've done. A majority of the people who
- 30:34were subscribed to me on YouTube were fellow atheist people who
- 30:39used to watch me whenever I was religious and they followed me
- 30:43around. A majority of them were probably
- 30:46wondering two things. There's a group of atheists who
- 30:50want me to return to atheism, and then there's a group of
- 30:54atheists who fucking hate me because I'm religious and would
- 30:57like to see me basically drowned in a mud puddle.
- 31:03And that's what I've had to deal with.
- 31:05I lost a lot of supposed friends just by simply claiming to
- 31:10believe in God, But that was kind of expected though, because
- 31:15the Bible does say they hated me, They will hate you and yada
- 31:19yada yada don't love this world. This world is filled with
- 31:23greedy, materialistic, determined, ambitious people.
- 31:30It would sell their mother into hookery if it meant that it
- 31:34would bring them some form of fame or notoriety.
- 31:41Christians aren't like they used to.
- 31:43When I was very young, there were those good moments where
- 31:46the churches would make a a meal and everybody would sit around.
- 31:51I remember whenever I was young enough to go into like Sunday
- 31:55school or the little daycares, whenever that particular church
- 32:00actually had one and he'd hang out with the other kids and all
- 32:03that. I can assure you that there
- 32:06wasn't no brainwashing going on like what atheist tried to
- 32:09claim. No one was telling me that if I
- 32:12don't behave, I'll go to hell. My grandmother was kind of like
- 32:16that, though. My grandmother, before she got
- 32:19cancer, she was like that. She was quick to say things like
- 32:23if you don't clean up your room, God's going to be mad and then
- 32:27you know the demons are going to come and get you.
- 32:30I remember because of that shit, for the longest time I was
- 32:33frightened of the dark. A lot of you may not know that,
- 32:36but I was scared of the dark whenever I was a kid.
- 32:39Because my grandmother would tell me that if I didn't do this
- 32:45or I didn't do that, I didn't behave myself, that the demons
- 32:51were going to get me. But if you actually read the
- 32:55Bible, then you would find out that that's not how things work
- 32:58out. Hell is not a place where you're
- 33:01tormented and tortured. It's not a place where you
- 33:04immediately get thrown into some insane asylum that's on fire,
- 33:08where demons are gonna rape you with fucking hot coals and all
- 33:12kinds of bullshit. That's not the way the Bible
- 33:15reads. But you don't know that whenever
- 33:18you're little. You don't know that whenever
- 33:20you're young. And to be fair, I don't think
- 33:24that my grandmother actually believed any of that shit.
- 33:27I think that she had cancer for a long time, but she was one of
- 33:31those type of people that didn't like to go to the doctor.
- 33:34Her fucking brain was fried, ladies and gentlemen.
- 33:37So I don't think that religion caused her to be fucked up like
- 33:42that. I don't believe that God made
- 33:43her fucked up like that. But she had cancer and it had
- 33:47had had basically burned her up physically.
- 33:52And she was in a lot of pain. She was suffering.
- 33:55And to be fair, also, I was a hyperactive kid.
- 33:58I was diagnosed with hyperactivity.
- 34:01So I was, you know, a fucking train wreck.
- 34:03I was all over the wall bouncing off the walls and shit.
- 34:06So, you know, she had to do whatever the hell she could or
- 34:10say whatever she could or make whatever threats.
- 34:13And God knows she actually got pretty physical sometimes in
- 34:18order to get me to do what she wanted.
- 34:22For some reason I still feel like even through all the
- 34:24threats and through all that physical violence, that
- 34:28somewhere inside of her, beneath all that cancer and riddled
- 34:32evil, that somehow she managed to love me and actually care
- 34:37about me. And I guess I feel that way
- 34:40because it was either live with her or live in a foster home
- 34:44with a bunch of strange ass kids who want to kick the shit out of
- 34:47you and be raised by some parents who don't want you that
- 34:51you're not biologically theirs. So yeah, yeah, Christianity.
- 35:08My advice and suggestion for a lot of you out there if you're
- 35:12finding your faith dwindling, if you start feeling like the
- 35:16people around you are not a part of God, or they don't have an
- 35:20actual personal relationship like they boast about and brag
- 35:23about that you really feel like you're an association with
- 35:28demons as opposed to Saints of God, Then get the fuck away from
- 35:32the church. Get away from these type of
- 35:34people. God does not order you or
- 35:38command you to go to any denomination or church out
- 35:41there. In fact, when you're reading,
- 35:45you could see that the followers of Christianity that followed
- 35:49Jesus didn't go to any kind of version of churches.
- 35:52A couple of them visited the Jewish temples, but they usually
- 35:59spent most of their time out fishing or walking the land with
- 36:03Jesus Christ. They walked with Jesus like a
- 36:05Tabernacle. They were not a part of the
- 36:09Baptist religion or part of the Pentecostal or any of that shit.
- 36:13They were just normal people who were trying to survive who
- 36:17basically left their wives and children behind.
- 36:20Some of them and others brought their families along with them
- 36:24and they lived off the land and followed Jesus Christ all the
- 36:27way to his death and resurrection.
- 36:33So if you start feeling like a church is wrong, if you feel
- 36:37like the people are not your family and they don't love you,
- 36:41then by God get the hell away from them.
- 36:45Stick with God though, just because humans disappoint you
- 36:48just because the flesh is weak, don't let people take you away
- 36:55from the direction that you're going towards God.
- 36:59Unfortunately, the truth is, ladies and gentlemen, is that
- 37:02Satan will use people that you love.
- 37:06Satan will use people that you think are your friends, and
- 37:11you'll be abandoned. You'll be betrayed, you'll be
- 37:13attacked, you'll be slandered, you'll be defamed.
- 37:16Everything that you can imagine possible.
- 37:19And the ones who are going to cause the most pain in your soul
- 37:23are the ones who you trust the most, because they're the ones
- 37:27that know you well. They know your vulnerabilities.
- 37:29And the demons have to only have to get them whenever they're
- 37:33having a bad moment or they're in darkness for the moment, and
- 37:37then they'll come after you. That's the way it works.
- 37:41So you need to keep your eyes on the prize.
- 37:43You need to focus on God and not depend or rely on humans to do
- 37:49the right thing or even the Christian thing.
- 37:53And that's the reason, Frank Turek, you're probably not going
- 37:56to respond to my point or my post.
- 38:00You probably just asking and probably won't even get around
- 38:03to talking to anybody that's in this comments thread, but that's
- 38:09the at least for me personally, how I see things and according
- 38:17to Revelations, I don't see things changing.
- 38:20It looks like things are pretty predetermined.
- 38:23Even though I believe in free will and I'm a compatibilist, it
- 38:27seems like a lot of Christianity is going to fall away.
- 38:30The world is going to become godless.
- 38:32It's going to become dark. It's going to become lawless.
- 38:36We're going to see more war, more destruction, more death,
- 38:39more plagues, rumors of war, all the shit predicted in the Bible.
- 38:46And then finally, God will come and there will be Armageddon.
- 38:56Period. It is what it is.
- 39:04I've come to the point where the only thing that makes me
- 39:07hesitate about a full reset is I'd like my kids to be able to
- 39:13have a good life. I'd like my wife to be live out
- 39:17her life and be happy and stuff. And my children, I would like
- 39:21them to be able to experience some of the joys and good that
- 39:24is still left in the world. But it seems like humanity's
- 39:28doing everything in its power to take anything that was
- 39:31worthwhile away and destroy each other.
- 39:38So I suppose there's nothing really holding me back from just
- 39:42saying, Fine, do the full reset. Shut it down.
- 39:52You get a lot of people. I'll finish the video up with
- 39:54this. Have you ever heard these
- 39:56religious people that are that ask this question?
- 39:59If you died tomorrow, where would you go?
- 40:02I don't know. I don't know where I would go.
- 40:06I just know that with my limited opportunities and my limited
- 40:13existence, with the tools that God gave me, I've tried to do
- 40:17what I can. Have I done the greatest?
- 40:20Have I been saintly? No.
- 40:23I've made some mistakes. I've had some problems.
- 40:26I've had some issues. I personally do not feel like I
- 40:30deserve to go to heaven. I don't deserve God's grace.
- 40:36Other people, they believe that it was given freely and that
- 40:39there's no consequences and that as long as they claim certain
- 40:43things, they're guaranteed. I don't.
- 40:46I don't see that. If the way is narrow and people
- 40:50who can just simply claim the name aren't part of his flock,
- 40:54then I see no reason why Jesus would have said things like get
- 40:57away from me. I never knew you.
- 41:00Alls I can do is at the end of the day is have faith and hope.
- 41:04I hope that God knows who I am. I hope that he finds value in my
- 41:10soul and wants to keep me around.
- 41:13I want to be with God. My loved ones want to be with
- 41:17God. But at the end of the day, I'm
- 41:19not going to be presumptuous or arrogant enough to say that my
- 41:24check has already been signed. Because when you get right down
- 41:29to it, I've had bad thoughts. I've had some bad things in my
- 41:34heart. I've wanted to do some bad
- 41:38things to bad people. That is not very Christ like.
- 41:46And I know for a fact that I'm not Christ like I strive to be.
- 41:50I want to be, but I'm not. And I don't think that if you
- 41:54gave me 5 lifetimes, I would be ever be able to illuminate the
- 41:59perfection of someone like Jesus Christ.
- 42:02So if you were to ask me where am I going tomorrow, I would
- 42:06tell you that I should be in hell, but hopefully I'll go to
- 42:09heaven. God bless.
