- 0:00All of our body pretty much is
- 0:03capable of responding to
- 0:06electromagnetic energy such as
- 0:10biophotons and the natural one sunbite.
- 0:14Then it's also capable of responding to
- 0:18the non native EMFs that
- 0:21we're pumping out in ever increasing
- 0:25quantities now. So there's a priority there. We
- 0:29do need to tidy things up. Welcome to the
- 0:32QVC podcast where we. Explore exciting new paradigms that have
- 0:36a meaningful impact on our day to day lives. I'm
- 0:40your host Meredith Oak. Let's keep the conversation going. Join
- 0:43us in our free community by. Visiting
- 0:45qbcpod.com that's
- 0:48qbcpod.com and let's see. Where the quantum
- 0:52superhighway takes us next. I know for many of us the quantum
- 0:55biologic framework that is the intersection. Of quantum physics and
- 0:59biology holds the promise of potentially being able to
- 1:03give us scientific mechanisms of action for
- 1:06some of the biggest anomalies in
- 1:10consciousness and human experiences and
- 1:13phenomena that cannot be explained by the materialist paradigm.
- 1:18I'm talking about things like telepathy, out of body experiences,
- 1:22near death experiences, and also more common occurrences
- 1:26such as that feeling that you get when you know somebody is
- 1:30staring at you even if you can't see them. What is
- 1:34that? My guest today has some answers and
- 1:38I am had such a good time talking to him because he
- 1:41went on his own journey of
- 1:46shifting paradigms from being a medically trained
- 1:49physician. He's an MD who did not believe.
- 1:54Quote unquote in any of that stuff. Even though he
- 1:57was deep into the. Integrative and functional health world.
- 2:01He is has run journals and
- 2:05chaired professional associations for ecological
- 2:09medicine in the UK and Dr. Damien Downing also
- 2:12wrote. A book back in 19888 on the. Importance
- 2:16of sunlight and how we cannot be truly healthy if we do not get enough
- 2:20of it. He has continued his path after
- 2:24decades of clinical experience working with patients to
- 2:28resolve their issues as naturally as possible,
- 2:31he has gone down the physics rabbit hole
- 2:35and has now come out with a very, very different
- 2:39perspective than what he started with after
- 2:42deeply studying the intersection physics
- 2:46and biology, most notably with structured water,
- 2:51light and the work of May Wen Ho
- 2:54regarding what she calls time crystals.
- 2:59Turns out we're not just biochemical, we're not just bioelectrical, we're
- 3:02also bioinformational,
- 3:06potentially storing information in our time
- 3:09crystals across time and space.
- 3:13It's wild. It's wild fun stuff. You are definitely going to
- 3:17enjoy this chat with Dr. Downing. We start out with
- 3:20light and what structured water and then
- 3:25we go down the rabbit hole that changed his
- 3:28paradigm and changed what he believes
- 3:32about how human consciousness works.
- 3:36So enjoy this episode. It is a very fun
- 3:401. And Dr. Downing's book Coherent Health
- 3:43the Power of Light and Water is coming out soon.
- 3:47We will link to it in the show notes or you can look it up
- 3:50on Amazon. All right, don't forget to visit our
- 3:53friends@boncharge.com for all of your circadian
- 3:57biology product needs. And
- 4:01also I really recommend downloading the My
- 4:04Circadian app. We actually talk about the My Circadian app in
- 4:08this interview. Dr. Downing mentions it as a tool
- 4:12that. He came across listening to this podcast and finds it.
- 4:16He just said he found it like extremely helpful and really recommended.
- 4:20He now recommends that his patients use it. It's a way to
- 4:23make maintaining our circadian health
- 4:27a little, just a little more easier. Especially for people who are new to it
- 4:31or if you're practitioner working with clients, there is a
- 4:34way you can program their location and use
- 4:38it to support your ability to guide them on
- 4:41their circadian journey. Highly recommend.
- 4:46And for links to all of those things, do visit the tools we use
- 4:50page on qbcpod.com that is
- 4:53also where I recommend the patches which
- 4:57used your body's own biophotonic emissions
- 5:01to wake up your stem cells.
- 5:05The world is cool. There's so much cool stuff in it. All right, enjoy my
- 5:09interview with Dr. Downing. Dr. Damien Downing, welcome
- 5:12back to the QVC podcast. Thank you very much. We're going
- 5:16to have fun today. Okay, so let's start with, you know, one of
- 5:20my favorite topics, sunlight. You have
- 5:23worked, as we say in the US an integrative physician
- 5:27for decades and have been a longtime champion of
- 5:30sunlight through the whole sunlight is bad for you
- 5:34phase that we seem to be emerging from in our culture
- 5:38from the get go. You are a sunlight champion. You wrote a book about
- 5:42how important sunlight is in 1988. Daylight
- 5:45robbery. Yeah, so let's talk about that.
- 5:49We'll start there. Like, why is sunlight
- 5:53so crucial to human
- 5:56biology? You know, I think we're all being pretty
- 6:00stupid about this. How could it not be? I mean, it is the
- 6:03most funderless. You know, it's as necessary to
- 6:07us as water is to fish more. So,
- 6:12you know, I mean, this is what we evolved in the whole of life
- 6:16evolved in. And the only new thing here,
- 6:20I mean, you know, all cultures have done this sort of thing, have used
- 6:25heat and light and measures like that and
- 6:29probably used structured water as well when we get to that. But
- 6:33we managed to for a long time. I just think we're better
- 6:36than that, didn't we? You know, we know best. But now what we've
- 6:40done is we've figured out a little bit more of it so that
- 6:44it's a moment where, oh, that, that's how it works.
- 6:48That's how it makes sense. And you can see the,
- 6:51you know, there's huge amounts of our energy. I don't know how
- 6:55you quantify this, but obviously a lot of the energy
- 7:00we use, a lot of the incoming energy that we
- 7:04make ATP with and do energetic things in ourselves,
- 7:09comes from light rather than from food. This is a huge piece
- 7:12for people. Yeah, me too. Say, yeah, say a little bit
- 7:16more about that because we've, we've been really, really trained to
- 7:20think that, you know, food is, is everything
- 7:23and less inclined to consider in what environment
- 7:27we are consuming that food and what is what the inputs into our
- 7:31biology are the whole rest of the time when we're not eating.
- 7:35So how is it, how is it that light is, is so key
- 7:39as compared to food? I mean, not that food, it doesn't matter, obviously. Please,
- 7:43people, use both hemispheres of your brain. Two things can be true
- 7:46at once. Okay, yeah, yeah, true matters. But also
- 7:50light is giving us more input
- 7:54than we really realized. Yes, absolutely. Start with
- 7:58light itself. The, the light,
- 8:02you know, let's call it its own light, really
- 8:06reaching us on the surface of the Earth. The
- 8:10energy that comes from the sun is only
- 8:1340% of it is visible light. Right.
- 8:18But the high energy end of the spectrum, there's another
- 8:2110% of ultraviolet, UVA and
- 8:25UVB. And then it cuts off, it's filtered
- 8:28out by the atmosphere. Down the other end
- 8:32from red, you go into near infrared.
- 8:36And actually that's a whole 50% of
- 8:40the energy reaching us is in the near infrared,
- 8:44in infrared, but it's mostly near infrared.
- 8:49So this is also why green spaces are good for us,
- 8:52because the leaves and several of the green things,
- 8:57well, they reflect green light obviously because they don't need it. They
- 9:00get their energy other places in the spectrum,
- 9:04but they also reflect the near infrared very
- 9:08strongly. And this is presumably
- 9:11at least one of the reasons why forest bathing has any
- 9:15pollen. You can probably make it even better if you barefoot in the grass. So
- 9:18you get your electrons that way too. If
- 9:22you shut your eyes in a green park or
- 9:26a wood or somewhere, you look and
- 9:30the color you see with your eyes closed is red, right?
- 9:34Because it penetrates quite well. But the near
- 9:38infrared penetrates even better.
- 9:42So that in the eyes there'll be about
- 9:46five times as much near infrared
- 9:49going into your eyes with the eyelids closed
- 9:53as there is colored light. And it's not
- 9:57only in the eyes, but it has particular
- 10:01penetration which we miscalculated
- 10:04for a long time because, you know, we put,
- 10:08put a pointy detector at it and
- 10:12say, oh, well, it's not penetrating here, is going
- 10:16off in all sorts of directions, so it's not getting through.
- 10:20But that doesn't matter to a cell because
- 10:24that's probably good for the cell because it's getting it all diffused, getting it
- 10:27all the way around from all directions better than getting,
- 10:31you know, one like a laser beam. So what we've learned is
- 10:35that the, the light that
- 10:38we cannot see is penetrating
- 10:43right into our body and not in a linear way,
- 10:47but in a way that, that has a, like a systemic effect.
- 10:51Like it fills up our whole system.
- 10:55And we've only just realized this, scientifically speaking?
- 10:58I mean. Yeah, yeah, I think
- 11:02that's right. Our natural wisdom has known this since, since
- 11:06the evolution of man or the, or our ancestral beginnings,
- 11:10however you want to look at it. But yes. So science has only just
- 11:14recently recognized that that's what's going on. Yeah. Okay,
- 11:18and so what does that mean? Does it. When we.
- 11:21Because we haven't known that, we haven't known about the importance of,
- 11:25of infrared and near infrared and all the other wavelengths which we're going
- 11:29to talk about. But it seems to me we've constructed a way of living
- 11:33that is like totally antithetical. Yeah,
- 11:37absolutely. Electricity is to blame for
- 11:41a lot of it. Isn't it possible
- 11:45for us to, to work
- 11:48indoors? You know, the, to change
- 11:52subject slightly. The. I've gotten her name. But
- 11:56the lady who you had on recently with the. My
- 11:59Circadian app. Yes. Sarah Kleiner. Right.
- 12:02That's got a beautiful little thing on the app
- 12:06that enables you to just do a lux meter showing you
- 12:10point the camera at the light somewhere
- 12:13and take a light reading. And you will find that
- 12:17in here. Well, I got one of Ken
- 12:21Cedar's lamps up there, but apart from that, it's going to be
- 12:24pretty cool. Level cupboard, 200 lux, something like
- 12:28that. Whereas out there it'll be gloomy
- 12:32day, probably four or five thousand sunny day, be a
- 12:35load more. So we hugely deprived ourselves of
- 12:39light by moving indoors and of course extended
- 12:43our sunny day into the night
- 12:46with the use of electric lights. And then it all got
- 12:50worse when we replaced, we
- 12:54invented energy saving bulbs. Right. Because the
- 12:57reason why One of these LED lights is
- 13:01energy saving and you can have a 5
- 13:04watt bulb or whatever
- 13:08that produces equivalent to
- 13:1260 watts in the old method is that
- 13:16it's not making all the heat, but that heat was. At least
- 13:20some of it was near infrared and it
- 13:24had, it has special properties. So things got even worse there. So we
- 13:28moved indoors, but we still had
- 13:31somewhat biologically friendly light bulbs. Then we changed the
- 13:35light bulbs to be basically toxic
- 13:39after sunset. Bright white LED lights are
- 13:42toxic. Is that fair to say? Not to mention the light from
- 13:46the screen. Yes, quite. I think there's a bit of the principle
- 13:50there. We have to be a little bit clear. You can make a
- 13:53pretty much an absolute rule here that if
- 13:57it occurs in nature then it can't really be
- 14:01harmful to us. Can't be bad for us really.
- 14:05And so I think on that basis it's not that blue light
- 14:08is intrinsically bad for us. What's really bad for
- 14:12us is blue light with the near infrared taken out. Which
- 14:16is light bulbs and screens. Yeah, yeah.
- 14:20Okay. And it's also of course it's what? I
- 14:23never know when they put that abbreviation. Nn emfs.
- 14:27Non native. Non native. Thank you. Okay, yeah. So those are the fake
- 14:31like the ones coming out of the ones you warn about
- 14:35in your book, basically. Yeah, yeah. Right.
- 14:39Well I was by no means the first. You know,
- 14:43John Ott did that back in the end of the
- 14:4650s. Really. He
- 14:51created the term Mal Illumination which has two
- 14:55sides to it. Not enough sunlight and too much
- 14:59non. What's it say new to nature? Non
- 15:03native EMFs. Yeah. So we, those are the way we use
- 15:07it is like the, like the WI FI signal and all of the
- 15:11man made frequencies. You can't see the non visible
- 15:15man made frequencies that were not conceived of with biology in
- 15:19mind. Precisely. Yeah. Right. So
- 15:22talking about the benefits of sunlight which is
- 15:26I think becoming widely known and I've interviewed,
- 15:30you know, at least one allopathic physician who has
- 15:34looked at this research and agreed that there are
- 15:38really an infinite number of benefits to
- 15:42exposing our biology to sunlight. But then it kind of
- 15:46stops because they don't quite have a way to explain the mechanism of
- 15:49how, because that's quantum. So you have that piece, we'll get to it.
- 15:53But first let's just run through. You have this table in your new
- 15:57book, Light Wavelengths and their benefits in terms of talking
- 16:00about sunshine. So let's start.
- 16:04So there's UV C.
- 16:08Which is only in space. So let's move down to
- 16:13uvb. Yeah. Right. So
- 16:16uvb, you only get around solar noon
- 16:19and it's a tiny amount of when the sun's highest in the
- 16:23sign. So it's got the shortest path through the atmosphere to
- 16:27reach you. That solar moon, it's only
- 16:31about a half a percent of the
- 16:34total light energy. They're really small.
- 16:38And it's only about a twentieth of
- 16:42the UV energy reaching us because
- 16:46most of it is in the uva, which
- 16:50is longer wavelength and therefore
- 16:54slightly lesser energy. But there's a lot more of it. So
- 16:57yeah, it has useful effects. Right, right. And the
- 17:01UVB benefits are the ones that we traditionally think about.
- 17:05They are, yes. Yeah. Which is vitamin D
- 17:10and melanin as well. Right. So that's where you,
- 17:14you make vitamin D and you get a tan. Yeah, that's
- 17:18right. And that would be. So if you live. Depending where you live, you
- 17:21wouldn't always have access to that. Hey, you certainly
- 17:25wouldn't. Yeah. But it's interesting because there's all
- 17:29of these other wavelengths that do lots and lots
- 17:33of things as well. So I think that's like a key takeaway for people is
- 17:36like even if we were open to the fact that the sun is good for
- 17:39us, we were like, oh, it's just, we just need it for vitamin D
- 17:43and getting a tan. And now we know getting a tan is really good for
- 17:47us. Not burning, just tanning. But even if we are
- 17:51in winter or whatever and we're not getting that uvb, there's still all this other
- 17:54one, all these other wavelengths that have incredible effects, like.
- 17:58Absolutely. Uva.
- 18:01Uva, yeah. Right. Okay, so what happens
- 18:05with uva? Well, alpha MSH
- 18:08happens, or really I just say PLMC happens.
- 18:13Light hitting the non visual
- 18:16photoreceptors in the eyes and that's higher energy light.
- 18:20UVA and blue
- 18:25sends a message to the main body clock, the
- 18:28suprachiasmatic nucleus and then the body clocks there
- 18:33and that causes the pituitary
- 18:37to produce this stuff called pro
- 18:40opiomelanocortin. There's a bit of a bundle
- 18:44word. Okay. Yeah. So for those of us who are like, wait, I don't know
- 18:47what any of that is. What does it do? Why do we care?
- 18:51We'll call it POMC Sugars anyway. All right, Right.
- 18:55Yeah. And the pro means it's not actually a thing
- 18:59in itself. It has to be changed as a converted or
- 19:02activated. And what happens is a number of
- 19:06steps breaks it down into three other things. Right.
- 19:10The opio is endorphins,
- 19:14which kind of the feel good internal hormones, their
- 19:19painkillers and relaxants and so forth.
- 19:22The melano is alpha msh, which come
- 19:26to in A second. And the cortin
- 19:30is ACTH adrenaline, which is the
- 19:33adrenal stimulating hormone that
- 19:37causes your body to produce
- 19:41a burst of cortisol. If you do
- 19:44cortisol trash, there's supposed to be a spike
- 19:48of cortisol in the morning there.
- 19:52Right. And that comes from the
- 19:56effect of high energy light, UVA and
- 19:59particular hitting the eyes. But
- 20:03also what we now realize is you get the same
- 20:07effect without stuff hitting the skin.
- 20:10And there are the cells lining the
- 20:13capillaries in the skin. They produce
- 20:17PLMC and therefore all the other stuff here as
- 20:20well. So the final one is Alpha msh which is, I don't know
- 20:24if you know the work of Richie Shoemaker
- 20:28in the States. It talks about the biotoxin
- 20:31pathway and he described this old stuff very well and he
- 20:35regards Alpha MSH as being the main off
- 20:39switch for inflammation and
- 20:43pain and so forth. Yeah. And so
- 20:47what it does is it does have a
- 20:50definite anti inflammatory effect. It also
- 20:55causes the melanocytes, it stimulates the
- 20:58melanocytes to produce melanin,
- 21:02which we thought was its main purpose, but we clearly got that
- 21:06wrong because it does have an
- 21:10anti inflammatory effect and so does the
- 21:13cortisol that you produce then.
- 21:16And the Alpha MSH also has an
- 21:20antimicrobial effect in its own right. So it's making
- 21:24the whole system, you know, that much more efficient. You're not
- 21:27producing unproductive
- 21:31inflammation as you know, burning up your energy and
- 21:34wasting it on something that isn't working.
- 21:39So the thing that we've also come to realize now
- 21:43is that it's an appetite suppressant. Really?
- 21:47Yeah. And I mean a couple of people
- 21:51have said, talked about this. Oh, so
- 21:55that's why I never have a great appetite when I'm on holiday.
- 21:58Yeah, it's true. I noticed that the more time I spend
- 22:02outside and in the summer I'm just. Yeah, not as
- 22:06hungry. Yeah, because there's a double
- 22:09effect there. It reduces your appetite by making you feel
- 22:13fuller and it
- 22:17also produces, makes your energy production
- 22:20more effective. It's very tempting to say oh hey,
- 22:24it's nature's ozempic or whatever,
- 22:28but we don't know yet just you know, whether
- 22:32you can do it that way around. Don't know. Can you fix
- 22:36your huge weight problem by getting lots of
- 22:39sunlight and so on? Will the weight just fall off? You don't know.
- 22:43There are some people to say they have had that experience.
- 22:47There's some practitioners who say they have had that experience.
- 22:51But this certainly isn't a double blind trial
- 22:55or anything. Like that. Right. What I think is certain is it's a good
- 22:59idea to get the sunlight first and the alpha mosaice, then
- 23:02you keep your weight down in the first place. So going
- 23:06outside, even if there's no
- 23:10UVB you've just described, is
- 23:14anti inflammatory, supports our immune system,
- 23:18presses our appetite, helps our body to
- 23:21make more energy. I
- 23:25mean, that sounds pretty. This sounds like all of the things that we're always trying
- 23:28to, you know, look for in a supplement or
- 23:33a prescription. And there it is, just there it is coming,
- 23:37coming at us the moment we step outside. I just think it's helpful to break
- 23:40this down because it's so simple. And I
- 23:44find sometimes people brush it off or they're like, okay, Meredith, whatever. Like,
- 23:48does it really make that big of a difference, as you said earlier?
- 23:51Yes. Yeah. So let's talk about
- 23:55the visible light. So that's, that's all the
- 23:59colors. There's blue, violet, green, yellow, amber, orange, red.
- 24:03What's going on with this light? And this
- 24:07is also available all day. The UVA comes
- 24:11up about an hour after sunrise. Yeah, that's right. There's a whole
- 24:14bunch of things going on, some of which were
- 24:18we're only really figuring out bit by
- 24:22bit and from actually treating people
- 24:26with that. I mean, for instance, green light
- 24:30has been used to treat fibromyalgia. Who had thought that
- 24:34would happen? And that was
- 24:38generally green light without
- 24:42the near infrared or whatever know. So it does have a property
- 24:46on its own. And we can
- 24:49use in photobiomodulation. We use blue
- 24:53light particularly for stimulation on the
- 24:56immune system and red
- 25:00lights, interestingly, on the circulation as
- 25:04well. So they all have benefits. We know that light's good for all
- 25:08depression, not just seasonal affective disorder, but all depression
- 25:11and so forth. I don't think anybody's
- 25:14idea of particular wavelength works there. And
- 25:18it's probably all of them. I mean, it could be the alpha
- 25:22nsh effect from UVA just
- 25:26being anti inflammatory because I mean, all the neurologists
- 25:30and everybody these days say depression is inflammation, is
- 25:33neuroinflammation. It could just be as
- 25:37simple as that. It could be other things. There's
- 25:41probably, you know, it would be sensible to
- 25:44say you need the whole darn lot. Really.
- 25:48Yes. The full spectrum sunlight is.
- 25:52Yeah. So what's nutrient number one that we're all lacking?
- 25:56Sunlight is the ideal. And maybe
- 26:00when we're dealing with these
- 26:03chronic conditions from fibromyalgia to depression,
- 26:07full spectrum sunlight would be a good place to
- 26:11start and then see what else is needed. Yeah, like
- 26:14a very simple, reasonable recommendation from
- 26:19you as a physician of many decades with lots of experience.
- 26:23Yeah, I mean, I've always, you know, when dealing with a complex problem,
- 26:26you try and in with a patient, you try and evaluate
- 26:31all the size, you write a short overview which goes
- 26:35nutrition, toxins or things like that,
- 26:40genomic stuff, metabolic consequences and
- 26:43so forth. But then you say to the patient, well, look, I think
- 26:47we ought to start with these obvious deficiencies here
- 26:51that you've got, because that's the only way to get your
- 26:55body working on our side. Right.
- 26:58And then when that's there, when the detox is working, everything's working that
- 27:02bit better, then you can get the toxins out and
- 27:06so forth and have less adverse consequences of it.
- 27:11But what now, we've now got to say
- 27:14is practically everybody's vitamin D deficient
- 27:19for a start, certainly in this country. But is vitamin D
- 27:23just there because its own importance, and
- 27:27it does have huge importance to the immune system and so forth, but it's also
- 27:32quite a useful marker for the whole of light. If you're not getting enough
- 27:36light to do vitamin D for yourself, then
- 27:40you're probably almost certainly not getting
- 27:44enough light for all these other effects. So vitamin D is a
- 27:47marker for potentially how much sunlight you're getting. And
- 27:52we are all most likely sunlight deficient. And if we're
- 27:56showing symptoms really of anything, going
- 28:00outside is a nice, nice, easy place to start.
- 28:03Yeah, that's nicely put. We did talk about near infrared,
- 28:07but that is sunrise to sunset,
- 28:12green spaces, fires, and
- 28:15true incandescent, certain specialized light bulbs or
- 28:19light therapies. You can get near infrared light. And what's
- 28:23happening with near infrared light why is this our friend? And why is being
- 28:26near infrared deficient like such a problem? Right, okay. This is where we
- 28:30go quantum. Okay, let's go. The near infrared
- 28:34penetrates very well, so that it's been
- 28:37calculated, been proposed,
- 28:40that in an adult, 70%
- 28:44of your cells can access some near
- 28:47infrared. Right. And probably in a
- 28:51child, 100%. And there's a couple of places in the
- 28:54body that there are fluids. That's the amniotic fluid
- 28:58in a pregnant womb uterus and
- 29:02the cerebrospinal fluid in the brain. They're actually
- 29:06rather good conductors. So
- 29:10they channel this near infrared in particular
- 29:14further deeper into the body. And there's a particular
- 29:18wavelength there at around 8, 10 nanometers.
- 29:22I sound slightly vague, even though it's quantum, because
- 29:25I think there's more than one effect going on there. But
- 29:29this stuff has a quantum Effect on the
- 29:32mitochondria. And it has been suggested
- 29:36that. Well, one school of thought is that
- 29:40it has an effect on complex 4
- 29:43of the electron transport chain, the mechanism that
- 29:47produces ATPR main energy
- 29:51molecule. And it may
- 29:54well be that that's true, but
- 29:58it's looking more likely that it's also
- 30:02got an effect on structured water and
- 30:05the production of structured water, which is also
- 30:10something that just enables life,
- 30:13really. That's a perfect description of structured water.
- 30:17It enables life. Yeah. And the INF and the infrared
- 30:21light, the near infra light and the infrared light are helping us to
- 30:25have more structured water. I mean, all to
- 30:28varying extents. All light will do
- 30:32it, certainly from ultraviolet through to
- 30:36infrared and even further than near infrared, right into
- 30:39the mid infrared, you know, but
- 30:43near infrared has the best penetration, so. And would that be
- 30:47why red light therapy has proven so effective in
- 30:51helping people feel better and recover? Is that what's going on there?
- 30:54Yeah, because the effect is. So there's
- 30:58only the structured water effect is so fundamental.
- 31:02I think that's why it just kind of works for everything. So
- 31:06I've seen instantaneous effects sometimes.
- 31:10Somebody had a colleague who just put when the light pad thing
- 31:14on her frozen shoulder and it was fixed after half
- 31:18an hour of that. And somebody else fixed their tinnitus
- 31:21immediately and so forth. But I think that
- 31:25only happens if there's something there
- 31:29that really needs fixing. And the fix
- 31:32is to get the structured water and the electron
- 31:36transport chain working again. Then that
- 31:40provides the cell with energy to do whatever it
- 31:43is it wants to do. And that's the fun surprise is it's like,
- 31:47what does my body want to do? If I give it what it needs, what's
- 31:51going to happen? What fun things are going to happen?
- 31:55Well, I guess we'll find out. Okay, so let's talk a little bit
- 31:59more about. About structured water. And how would you
- 32:03explain it, you know, to. To a lay person?
- 32:08We've got some foundation. This audience has some foundation in it, but you know, to
- 32:11varying degrees. To varying degrees. So talk to
- 32:15me about our second favorite topic, structured water. Right?
- 32:19Yeah. Yeah. Well, one of the interesting things about it is
- 32:22that actually this knowledge has been there for a long time. I
- 32:26think I said 60 years in the book, didn't I? It goes back to
- 32:30this guy. I figured out the pronunciation. I've
- 32:34been told the pronunciation since our last conversation about
- 32:37this Albert Schent Giorgi. Ah,
- 32:40Georgi. He was a Hungarian
- 32:44scientist working before and after the war,
- 32:49and he remarked in one of his books
- 32:53that There were papers
- 32:56to show that almost any liquid, or at least a wide range
- 33:00of liquids, put them in contact with a
- 33:04surface of a particular well. In case of
- 33:08water, it has to be a
- 33:11hydrophilic surface, which means it has to have a charge.
- 33:15It has to have some ability to interact with the
- 33:19water, and then it can change
- 33:22the water and give it a bit of structure. You don't need much charge.
- 33:27And actually it'd be a positive charge. Will work as
- 33:31well as. Well, it will work also, but
- 33:35is mostly. It is a negative charge. And that's possibly because
- 33:39of. That's how the body works. That's how, you know,
- 33:42life generally works it. So you get a bit of charge
- 33:46on the surface there, the solid surface,
- 33:51that causes a change in the water
- 33:55interacting with it next to it there,
- 33:59which makes it into a more structured water.
- 34:03It's kind of a hexagonal shape. And that just
- 34:07happens. It happens with hundreds of different liquids and so forth. It'll always
- 34:10happen with water. And because
- 34:14inside the body there are. I mean, it's all
- 34:21surfaces everywhere. You know, a protein molecule is plenty big enough
- 34:25to have a surface stubborn with structured water.
- 34:29And something like collagen, which is made like rope,
- 34:33is made, you know, a spiral of this and then made into a bigger
- 34:37spiral and so forth. Plenty of room there for
- 34:40structured water. So it's figured
- 34:44that we're all about 70% structured water.
- 34:49There's plenty of opportunities for that to happen. Then once you've made that on the
- 34:52surface, that begins to have a particular
- 34:56effect, which is that protons get excluded
- 35:00from this hexagonal shape, hexagonal
- 35:04layer. And that means that you've got a
- 35:07negative charge there in the structure of water. It's slight,
- 35:11but then light can come along
- 35:15and build more and more and more, less. And Gerald
- 35:19Pollock, one of his colleagues, discovered it because he left the light
- 35:22on in the. On the. The bench
- 35:26shining on this water experiment
- 35:30came back and there was always. It's grown. All the structure of water
- 35:33has grown. Then we switch the light off. It
- 35:37gradually disappears. So it builds the water and charges
- 35:41the water. Yeah, well, the actual building of the water charges the
- 35:44water. Yes. Just the function of it being created is
- 35:48kicking out those protons and creating
- 35:52a negative charge. Yeah. And so we're like. I've
- 35:56heard the metaphor that we're sort of like a giant battery,
- 35:59you know, if we think of ourselves as a battery being charged by sunlight
- 36:03and particularly infrared light. Yeah. But I see
- 36:07the building of structure. Water is doing two things.
- 36:10Number one is creating Charge, which
- 36:14effectively means, you know, electrons.
- 36:17And it's similar to the effect you get from earthing,
- 36:21grounding, whatever whatever. Number two,
- 36:25it's enabling those electrons to flow. I called
- 36:29it the electron superhighway. Right. And in fact, I'll be
- 36:32honest, it's getting beyond my understanding this stuff, you know? Yeah, I know. It
- 36:36goes. It goes so deep, and I'm trying
- 36:40to keep it for people to
- 36:45just understand well enough to really be motivated and excited
- 36:50to implement it. But at the same time, the quantum
- 36:54layers are so fascinating, and we're going to get into some of
- 36:57the really new, new ideas about structured water.
- 37:02It's incredible to me, too, because mainstream allopathic medicine doesn't
- 37:06even recognize the existence of structured water
- 37:09in many cases. And yet without
- 37:13that piece, it seems a little bit impossible
- 37:17to really be understanding what's going
- 37:21on with someone's biology. Okay, so an
- 37:24ordinary crystal is a regular structure that
- 37:28repeats and repeats in space,
- 37:33right? So it's the same sort of molecular structure
- 37:36going all the way. And you can, of course,
- 37:40think of structured water as being
- 37:44like that. But a time crystal is
- 37:47something that has a regular repetition
- 37:51in space and in time. And it turns out,
- 37:56right, the name of the book is Coherent
- 38:00Health. And this is what is all about,
- 38:03really. I mean, coherence means a number of things. It
- 38:07means in a sentence, it means that all
- 38:11the elements in the sentence work together to deliver
- 38:15your meaning. And Coherent Health
- 38:19means all the elements of your body, including the
- 38:22structured water and so forth, are working together
- 38:26to keep you healthy and functioning. And May Won Ho
- 38:30put it that under the influence of
- 38:34electromagnetic fields, the water
- 38:37can form into a coherent domain that
- 38:41resonates, basically. Coherence in that sense is
- 38:45basically like resonance. And
- 38:49that's the quantum thing as well, of course, because,
- 38:54you know the trick of running your finger around a wine glass,
- 38:58you get the right frequency and it'll shatter it. Right.
- 39:03It's the frequency that matters there. That's
- 39:06the quantum thing like that. And
- 39:10you don't make it hurt, make it work by
- 39:15being stronger or whatever. You. You just need enough
- 39:18of the right frequency vibration to
- 39:22do that. And so that's another
- 39:26aspect of coherence. And it is all basically the same,
- 39:30really. So May Won Ho said that
- 39:33these can become coherent domains that
- 39:37under the influence of the magnetic field, end up
- 39:41trapping or holding the magnetic field,
- 39:45and then they can transmit it. So you need
- 39:49structured water, it turns out, to start building these
- 39:52coherent domains, little spaces,
- 39:55whatever, and the smallest one that
- 39:59we can figure out is just
- 40:03a Few nanometers across.
- 40:07I reckon it, you know, something like
- 40:11300 molecules of water in that.
- 40:15But then from that basic story, think of it as like little
- 40:18coins or something like that, but they can build
- 40:22up and they start to form a spiral,
- 40:26presumably because of the hexagon. There's an effect
- 40:29there. Right. So it then ends up looking like
- 40:33a DNA double helix. Then that could form even
- 40:37greater structures so that you have enormous structure.
- 40:41And if you regard this structure
- 40:45as being information,
- 40:49then storing the electromagnetic field is providing
- 40:54the information. The structured water and
- 40:57the other water contained in there, because it doesn't have to be all structured water,
- 41:02holds onto it and then can, under certain circumstances,
- 41:07transmit it again. And
- 41:10because you can make these vast great structures out of it
- 41:15in molecular terms, fast, the amount
- 41:19of information is. It's got to be infinite,
- 41:23really. There's no limit to this.
- 41:27So the time crystals within our structured water, according
- 41:31to this very well researched theory,
- 41:35posit that we could be holding unlimited
- 41:39information in our field. Yes. And
- 41:43transmitting it. Yes. And receiving it from other fields.
- 41:46Correct. All of the above. One of the ways we got into this
- 41:50was, you know, Luke Montagnais, who was one of the
- 41:53first reporters describers of hiv. He
- 41:58did an experiment where he got a DNA
- 42:02fragment and put it into like a sort of a solenoid
- 42:06battery structure there. Kept it
- 42:09completely apart from another
- 42:13similar thing which had. So you've got a fragment of DNA
- 42:17in this, which we'll call the. Sending the transmitting
- 42:21test tube. And then in the
- 42:25other test tube, the receiving test tube, you've got
- 42:29all the elements necessary to make that fragment of
- 42:33DNA again. Then you put that in
- 42:37a repeating field, something
- 42:41like the Schumann resonance, which is
- 42:44going around the world the whole time and has very
- 42:48high penetration. So it's going right through us all the time. There's nothing you do
- 42:52about that. You can't stop it. And
- 42:55God knows what the consequences would be if he did. So that's kind
- 42:59of like a carrier wave. What he did was
- 43:03to send the information
- 43:07from the transmitting test tube to the
- 43:11receiving test tube and recorded that
- 43:14it actually the DNA was spontaneously
- 43:19constructed in the receiving one. So that's
- 43:23a clear example of
- 43:27this kind of phenomenon happening, of a time crystal
- 43:31sending its information to another place
- 43:34electromagnetically and building a new
- 43:38time crystal there, or new time crystals.
- 43:42All right, and when you think that
- 43:45biophotons, or as we now call them, ultra
- 43:49weak photon emissions are happening all the
- 43:53time, all your cells are popping them out the
- 43:56whole damn time. Right. And human ones range the
- 44:00ultraviolet into the infrared. Right through into the infrared with
- 44:04something where there's a bit of a spike in yellow. I'm not sure why that
- 44:07is, but what else is it doing? I mean, it's got a point.
- 44:12This has to be it. The biophotons. And the
- 44:16first. The way we started understanding about biophotons
- 44:20was this guy called Gurvitch back in the 30s, I
- 44:24think, behind the Iron Curtain there.
- 44:28He put an onion shoot
- 44:32kind of thing like a sprout, when you sprout your salad
- 44:36in one test tube and another one,
- 44:41and noted that in the right circumstances,
- 44:45there was an effect of having that test
- 44:49tube there, that a sprouting active one there would
- 44:54cause another one there which hadn't been
- 44:57activated or whatever, to start doing stuff.
- 45:02And he figured out in that one that you had to have quartz
- 45:06there instead of glass between them. Okay. So we have
- 45:10established that structured water is essential to life,
- 45:13and it creates the electron. You know, it
- 45:17supports the electron superhighway that keeps our bodies
- 45:21functioning and filled with energy and charged up.
- 45:25And we've established that mainstream medicine doesn't currently
- 45:28acknowledge that it exists, which is
- 45:32a major problem for that industry, I would say. And so now I want to
- 45:36get into something. So it's like in our world, not only,
- 45:40you know, in the world that you're describing, not only have we established
- 45:44that structured water exists, we're starting to find
- 45:50suggestions of even deeper mysteries and
- 45:53beyond the healthy functioning of our biology,
- 45:57which is something called time
- 46:01crystals that I think you were, you know,
- 46:05comes very strongly from the work of May wen ho. So,
- 46:08Dr. Downing, like, pick it up from there. What's
- 46:12a time crystal? Just one that was not activated,
- 46:16had not been sprouted, and it was sprouting it just from
- 46:20receiving the energy of the one that was activated, Correct?
- 46:24Yeah, but glass. Glass cut it off. Quartz did it. Because
- 46:28in that case, he thought then that it's all
- 46:31ultraviolet and the courts will
- 46:35transmit the ultraviolet and ordinary glass won't. But
- 46:39turns out it's not. It's nothing like that simple. Well, it's just.
- 46:43It's as complicated, as complicated as it's time to
- 46:46make it. Yeah.
- 46:50So what is. What does this mean?
- 46:54Particularly for things
- 46:58that we have tended to dismiss, like
- 47:02telepathy or intuition
- 47:06or because I will say, like being around a
- 47:10lot of people who have systematically
- 47:14added some sunlight and grounding and darkness into their
- 47:18lives. I hear a lot of stories of
- 47:21people, whether they articulate it as enhanced
- 47:25intuition or they just are starting to have
- 47:29better ideas and make Better choices and all this kind of
- 47:32thing. Like what are the implications of this time
- 47:36crystal for this kind of non local
- 47:41phenomenon? I've always been quite a skeptic. You know, I'm,
- 47:44I would sort of get a new treatment and I'll let somebody else
- 47:48experiment on their patients before I experiment on mine
- 47:52or whatever. So I've always, you know,
- 47:56said that things like
- 47:59homeopathy, for instance, they've, they've got a hard
- 48:03road to follow. But because
- 48:08of Ben Venista studies way back
- 48:12that talked about the memory of water or water memory
- 48:17for me personally anyway, there's
- 48:21oh my God moment. This
- 48:25could be it. This could be how all this stuff works, you know,
- 48:29as you guys describe it, all the woo woo
- 48:33stuff, you know, and add
- 48:36to your list of things, you know, of
- 48:40paranormal phenomena. Add faith, right?
- 48:44They say faith move mountain, moves mountains.
- 48:48And this is how I do it. Faith is a form of coherence.
- 48:52You get this stuff working together. You know,
- 48:56we've all seen things about that, you know,
- 49:00oh, we desperately needed a whatever
- 49:06and so we prayed for it and it happened.
- 49:10And that proves that prayer works. Well,
- 49:14I think it does prove that prayer works.
- 49:19And prayer is just another form of acting incoherence.
- 49:25It doesn't necessarily prove that your God is the right
- 49:28one. That's a whole different story.
- 49:32Anyway, I think, you know,
- 49:35personifying God is a bit stupid. It's a bit like the blind man
- 49:39and the elephant, you know, oh, I've got this bit, it's a tail, you know.
- 49:42Right. We've all got a different bit and think it's the whole thing.
- 49:46Yeah. So as a lifelong skeptic, now that
- 49:49you have, you know, for this book researched
- 49:55structured water and then researched the
- 49:59coherence within structured water, recalling a time crystal
- 50:03through the work of May1ho. What I'm hearing you say is that you have
- 50:07now you feel confident that we have a mechanism of
- 50:10action to describe prayer. Telepathy,
- 50:14intuition, meditation. I'm
- 50:18definitely a follower of the Reverend Bayes. So I'd say
- 50:21the probabilities have shifted substantially
- 50:25now. And am I confident? I don't
- 50:29know. You know, I'm getting there. Yes, the needle has
- 50:32moved. Yeah, exactly. And I think it's like, you know, you remember
- 50:36the image of Earth from space, Apollo,
- 50:39whichever one, it was 1968, you know,
- 50:43we thought, oh my God, it really is a small blue planet, you
- 50:46know, and there is no planet B despite Elon
- 50:50Musk and all their aspirations. I think seeing the
- 50:54images of these little crystals or whatever, you're
- 50:58going to call them these coherent domains.
- 51:02That's a real thing. What would be sort of
- 51:06in your greatest vision of, you know,
- 51:09going forward from here now that we have this
- 51:13theory, but also the imaging as you said, like we can actually
- 51:17see these coherent domains in some level. What is
- 51:21your sort of highest destiny for us
- 51:25with this information? Okay, well let's start with the dark side of
- 51:28it. Because if all of our
- 51:32body pretty much is capable of
- 51:36responding to electromagnetic energy
- 51:41such as biophotons and the natural one sunpite,
- 51:46then it's also capable of responding to
- 51:49the non native EMFs that
- 51:53we're pumping out in ever increasing
- 51:57quantities now. So there's a priority there.
- 52:00We do need to tidy things up or do some
- 52:04housekeeping. And bear in mind that John Art
- 52:08described this mal illumination
- 52:11phenomenon back in what, 20
- 52:15something years before the mobile phone was even invented. There
- 52:19were adverse effects from tv, from
- 52:22those cordless phones, you know, and
- 52:26from the fluorescent lights.
- 52:30And he got effects from tidying that stuff
- 52:34up. It's got to be a billion times worse now
- 52:38because there's so much more bad energy, if you like,
- 52:42around
- 52:46in the radio frequency part of the spectrum where WI
- 52:49fi and mobiles and so forth live. And
- 52:53so we have got to do something about that for
- 52:56ourselves individually and ideally for the world
- 53:00too. But the good news about that
- 53:04of course is that you don't have to make it
- 53:07perfect right now people who try to
- 53:11apply this to patients health and
- 53:15so forth, their first rule is that
- 53:19you should detoxify your
- 53:22sleeping area. Right. So no mobiles and
- 53:26no radio wave type stuff in the bedroom.
- 53:29Absolutely, that does help. And in fact
- 53:34Trevor Marshall is, works in the
- 53:37autoimmune sector of things,
- 53:41did an experiment with putting hoods on
- 53:45that are screening out electromagnetic
- 53:49waves. And so he got
- 53:53about 60, I think patients
- 53:57with autoimmune diseases
- 54:00and he got them to where these hoods
- 54:04which will screen out some, by no means all, but some
- 54:08of the electromagnetic fields reaching you,
- 54:12the screen keep them away from your brain.
- 54:17And he asked them to wear that for four
- 54:20hours waking and four hours sleeping. So that's a
- 54:24third of the day. And he got
- 54:28effects, he got definite changes in
- 54:33their symptoms for which they were already on medication.
- 54:39But he got a further improvement. Although
- 54:42anybody who's worked with EMFs and electrosensitivity and
- 54:46so forth will understand this. There wasn't always good
- 54:50effects but that, you know, you get
- 54:53surprising things with that. I've seen people who've
- 54:58been electro sensitive, covered themselves in, you know,
- 55:01Faraday Case type wire fabric
- 55:05and get much worse inside that, you know,
- 55:09it's unpredictable because. Well, I suppose
- 55:13the time crystal theory sort of provides
- 55:17an explanation for that. You know, just because it's so complex,
- 55:20you can't easily predict
- 55:24what is going to happen. But you can
- 55:28apply the basic rule, I think, that if
- 55:32it's natural, if we evolved in it for
- 55:35billions of years, then it's got to be good. And
- 55:39if it's non natural, then it's probably
- 55:42bad. Or at least it's capable of being
- 55:46bad. Right? Yeah. That would be the flip side of it. If
- 55:50we're so exquisitely attuned to
- 55:54all of these frequencies, then when we're bombarded
- 55:58with unhealthy frequencies, that is
- 56:01absolutely going to have an effect. Yeah, that would make sense.
- 56:05However, the good news is once we know that we can.
- 56:09We can choose. Yes, exactly. You can do something
- 56:13about it and, you know, have to do it for yourself really
- 56:16to begin with. And so if you could just sort of
- 56:20summarize where you are now after having done all of this
- 56:24research, sort of through the quantum realm, through
- 56:27the coherence, through. Through May Wen Ho
- 56:31and, And all of your clinical experience over the
- 56:35years, your work publishing the journal, like
- 56:39sort of. Where do you see? Where are we? Because it
- 56:43feels like, I mean, I. I talk to lots of people
- 56:47all the time and honestly, I feel like we're in a brand new paradigm every
- 56:50month. It sounds. If my work is done
- 56:54here. No, I want to know where you think we are right
- 56:58now, like what direction we're headed in. Well, we can see
- 57:02that, you know, things are getting worse.
- 57:06We can also see that it takes time
- 57:10for us to get this stuff into our heads. Really,
- 57:14on average about 50 years. We know we've got to
- 57:18keep on at this, but there is some hope.
- 57:22I think this stuff has kind of arrived
- 57:25just in time as things get
- 57:30really bad. Unless Three Eye Atlas
- 57:34up there, actually, he's carrying some benevolent
- 57:37aliens. We do it for ourselves.
- 57:41I love it. Well, that is a perfect place to end. I would
- 57:45love. I, I think you might have that. Maybe that's the
- 57:48answer. Three
- 57:52Eye Atlas will explain all and lead us forward into
- 57:56the next. Into the new era. The new era,
- 57:59Exactly. Yes. Well, Dr. Downing, thank you for
- 58:03coming back to the podcast. Thank you for this incredible book, Coherent
- 58:07Health. It will be available soon. We will let you know how to order
- 58:10it and put links in the show notes and
- 58:14yeah, just so appreciate you diving
- 58:18into all of this and coming out with a coherent articulation.
- 58:22So we can all wrap our heads around it. Oh, it's been my pleasure, I
- 58:25assure you. This has been the Quantum
- 58:29Biology Collective podcast. To find a
- 58:32practitioner who practices from this point of view, visit our
- 58:36directory@quantumbiologycollective.org
- 58:40if you are a practitioner, definitely take a look at the
- 58:44Applied Quantum Biology certification, a six week study
- 58:48of the science of the new human health paradigm and its
- 58:51practical application with your patients and clients.
- 58:55We also love to future graduates of the program on this
- 58:59very podcast. Until next time, the QVC.
