- 0:12Speaker 1: Hello, everybody. I didn't think this was gonna happen tonight,
- 0:18Speaker 1: to be honest, with everything that just happened, like within
- 0:22Speaker 1: the four minutes.
- 0:24Speaker 2: I know, I almost wish that we had been recording
- 0:27Speaker 2: so people could see the behind the scenes chaos. Is
- 0:30Speaker 2: we're watching the down and we're like, are you ready?
- 0:33Speaker 2: Is a computer working? Are we back up?
- 0:36Speaker 1: I like four minutes before, everybody, And I know you
- 0:40Speaker 1: don't get to see any of this, but my computers,
- 0:42Speaker 1: all three monitors started blinking, and things started shutting off,
- 0:46Speaker 1: and the internet quit and then as I moved my mouse,
- 0:49Speaker 1: it froze, and then my mouse moved again. But then
- 0:52Speaker 1: the monitors turned off, and I just have you tried
- 0:55Speaker 1: to turn in and on and off again. I had
- 0:56Speaker 1: to unplug it. I had to unplug the certain components
- 0:59Speaker 1: plug them back in. I have no idea what happened. Obviously,
- 1:03Speaker 1: whatever we're talking about tonight has got somebody riled up,
- 1:06Speaker 1: possibly the Pope. I don't know. So well we're here.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I don't know if the Pope is quite so interested
- 1:13Speaker 2: in Baptists people. But I don't know because I'm not Baptists,
- 1:17Speaker 2: that's okay.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I don't know because I'm not the Pope.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Hello everybody. I am Verry True Chine.
- 1:26Speaker 1: And I'm JT. And this is through kriment Wine Time Live.

- 1:34Speaker 1: like subscribe, hit the notification bell. Do that right now
- 1:37Speaker 1: instead of waiting, because that helps kind of push things up.

- 1:43Speaker 1: It's a huge, huge, huge help. Tonight's case is crazy,
- 1:47Speaker 1: so it's worth a share. They all are. Also, if

- 2:08Speaker 1: Yeah, we are on all the places, and so give
- 2:12Speaker 1: us a five star review. Algorithms love it. I don't
- 2:14Speaker 1: know why, but we're gonna talk more about algorithms and
- 2:17Speaker 1: AI and all of that on Sunday. Did I get
- 2:21Speaker 1: better Internet? You know what? Oddly enough, it's been pretty
- 2:25Speaker 1: nice so far. So here's hoping. Well. I'm coming off
- 2:30Speaker 1: in ear infection, which is fun for everybody. I'm sure
- 2:35Speaker 1: I haven't had one in like three decades. I don't
- 2:37Speaker 1: remember having them as a kid. And all of a
- 2:39Speaker 1: sudden it showed up. I have no idea how my
- 2:42Speaker 1: six year old is. He walks around like there's not
- 2:44Speaker 1: a problem in the world. We would never know that
- 2:47Speaker 1: he had it. And here I am just like, oh yeah.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Why, they're young and they're invincible to some degree, they are.
- 3:00Speaker 1: They are indeed. Just to let you guys know, we
- 3:05Speaker 1: are going well, we're already live, but we're going live
- 3:09Speaker 1: live our TCWT live shows we are. We're gonna be
- 3:14Speaker 1: at a couple of different places. We channel members are
- 3:18Speaker 1: going to be able to watch the in person live
- 3:20Speaker 1: on the stream, So if you can't make it to
- 3:23Speaker 1: where we're going, totally cool. Lady and Gray, thank you
- 3:26Speaker 1: so much for gifting five True Crime and Winetime memberships.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I appreciate that a ton. Oh wow. So Hamilton, Yeah,
- 3:35Speaker 1: Hamilton Pool Vineyards and Farms in Austin, Texas. It's May third.

- 3:41Speaker 1: into the unsolved case of the Austin yogurt shop murders,
- 3:45Speaker 1: and then we have another show. Are we announcing this
- 3:50Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 3:51Speaker 2: But it is an official announcement.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Yes, we are also going to be at the Blend
- 3:58Speaker 1: of seven Winery and Delaware, Ohio, July nineteenth. They we're
- 4:02Speaker 1: going to be looking Nope, not.
- 4:04Speaker 2: That Mariyan, Ohio. They moved and they're now in downtown Marion, Ohio.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I went off of the airtable. That was my mistake.
- 4:14Speaker 1: It is the nineteenth though, yes, yes, okay, cool, all right,
- 4:20Speaker 1: And Terry and I are going to be looking into
- 4:22Speaker 1: the puzzling disappearance and death of Joey lebte. I hope
- 4:26Speaker 1: I said his name right, or I will never forgive myself.
- 4:31Speaker 1: We'll talk to producer Tara. She can tell me how
- 4:34Speaker 1: wrong I was.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Let's you know what's exciting about that show. Producer Tara
- 4:43Speaker 2: lives forty five minutes away, so there may be some
- 4:48Speaker 2: nanigans with producer Tara. And I think we might even
- 4:54Speaker 2: also be blessed with ap Amy.
- 4:59Speaker 1: W Oh my god so much.
- 5:04Speaker 2: And it's my birthday weekend and I'm turning fifty five.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Normally I would have a party that weekend, but we're
- 5:11Speaker 2: that's the weekend we're doing the live show, so.
- 5:16Speaker 1: So we're gonna have to make it super duper special.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I think that's a good idea, and I know maybe not,
- 5:25Speaker 1: maybe not this time around. But next time, I'll show
- 5:27Speaker 1: you a picture that just tickled my fancy and that
- 5:29Speaker 1: was the one you sent me, which was our names
- 5:31Speaker 1: on the coming soon for Hamilton Vineyards and Farms. So
- 5:39Speaker 1: very excited.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Lady and Gray ask what about elbow Feet. You know,
- 5:44Speaker 2: elbow Feet hasn't said anything, so I don't know if
- 5:48Speaker 2: he's even interested in seeing us live, I mean and
- 5:51Speaker 2: in person. We'll have to wait and find out.
- 5:54Speaker 1: You know. Yeah, I mean, as long as he promises
- 5:57Speaker 1: not to behave himself, we'll be fine, exactly.
- 6:00Speaker 2: I'm going to want all of the shenanigans and all
- 6:04Speaker 2: of the.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Fun So listening everybody. Our goal is to do at
- 6:09Speaker 1: least four live shows this year. We're halfway there, or
- 6:13Speaker 1: schedule them or halfway there. I'm really excited about it. Obviously,
- 6:16Speaker 1: we're still looking for places, so if you have any
- 6:19Speaker 1: potential show locations, please email producer Tara. That's Tara at
- 6:22Speaker 1: Tcwtmedia dot com.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Well, and I guess I can say it. It will
- 6:29Speaker 2: be an in person show, but it'll be a little
- 6:31Speaker 2: bit different. We are working on doing one in Crosby, Texas,
- 6:36Speaker 2: and we will just cover the disappearance of Chase Lackey
- 6:39Speaker 2: that is his hometown, and we're talking to a restaurant
- 6:43Speaker 2: there and be doing it there. I don't know if
- 6:46Speaker 2: Jt'll come in for that one or if it'll be
- 6:49Speaker 2: just me, because we are going to do it all free.
- 6:52Speaker 2: There will be no cost for tickets for anyone because
- 6:56Speaker 2: it's more of a missing person and we want to
- 6:58Speaker 2: just get the words out and let's be honest, guys,
- 7:01Speaker 2: we want to stir the pot in their backyard.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Like the Three Witches and Hamlet.
- 7:08Speaker 2: That's right.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Toil in trouble.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Some more good news if you are one of our
- 7:17Speaker 2: Channel members. Tomorrow night, we have a member's only event
- 7:22Speaker 2: and guys, trust me when I say we have a
- 7:26Speaker 2: lot of fun planned. JT and Terror were nice and
- 7:31Speaker 2: let me do some of the planning. So you know,
- 7:35Speaker 2: there's a little bit of spicy because I like to
- 7:38Speaker 2: be spicy. There's a little bit of fun. There's a
- 7:41Speaker 2: little bit of food involved. So everybody that's a Channel member,
- 7:45Speaker 2: you just need to be prepared to grab things from
- 7:50Speaker 2: your house when you're called on. So I am so
- 7:56Speaker 2: excited about y'all coming to hang out with us.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Yes, and if you are not a member, you can
- 8:03Speaker 1: definitely become a member. You go to our channel and
- 8:06Speaker 1: click the join button. There are multiple levels. We would
- 8:09Speaker 1: love to see you there. Of course, you know you
- 8:12Speaker 1: are not obligated to become a member, but we would
- 8:15Speaker 1: absolutely love to have you as one. We are going
- 8:17Speaker 1: to be doing these member only Shin Diggs. I think
- 8:20Speaker 1: did we say once a month? I think we said
- 8:21Speaker 1: once a.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Month, once a month, and we are going to be
- 8:26Speaker 2: given out one swag glass tomorrow. Will we have glasses
- 8:34Speaker 2: for our in person show? So we are going to
- 8:36Speaker 2: have one person who will win a prize and the
- 8:40Speaker 2: prize is not me or jt.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Oh Man. I even signed that nda.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Uh oh. I think we might have to fire someone.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Captain just ask if Yellowjackets moved. I think she's telling
- 8:58Speaker 2: us Yellowjacket's more important than yes.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Now hold on, not surely, not, Captain, I know.
- 9:06Speaker 2: That's what I'm thinking. I mean, maybe she doesn't know
- 9:08Speaker 2: about this DVR thing.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I don't know, but listen, Yellowjackets about a crazy group. Sunday,
- 9:15Speaker 1: about a crazy group? Please tell us about it?
- 9:18Speaker 2: Okay?
- 9:18Speaker 1: Yes?
- 9:18Speaker 2: So on Sunday we have episode four of the Zizzy
- 9:24Speaker 2: and Cult unveiled episode Guys, nine pm, eight pm Eastern
- 9:30Speaker 2: I want to tell you if you haven't watched or
- 9:33Speaker 2: listened to the previous three episodes, you've got to do
- 9:37Speaker 2: that before Sunday or your head's going to be well,
- 9:40Speaker 2: your head's going to be spinning any way, but it'll
- 9:42Speaker 2: spin a little bit slower if you get caught up
- 9:45Speaker 2: before then. I would recommend watching instead of listening because
- 9:49Speaker 2: the visuals help a lot to keep track of this group.
- 9:55Speaker 2: So yeah, definitely join us Sunday because we're going to
- 9:58Speaker 2: get Bunny Boiler crazy. Now, I before we dive into
- 10:07Speaker 2: tonight's wine pairing in case, I wanted to take a
- 10:10Speaker 2: quick minute and share an update. So for those of
- 10:14Speaker 2: you that are new here, we do a show I
- 10:18Speaker 2: hosted on Monday and Wednesdays at noon Central one Eastern
- 10:23Speaker 2: for missing person cases. Well, guys, I need to give
- 10:28Speaker 2: an update about a case that we just did. So
- 10:32Speaker 2: on March twelfth, we covered the disappearance of Angel Margoa Martinez,
- 10:38Speaker 2: who went missing on Valentine's Day last year. Now, he
- 10:43Speaker 2: had had a night drinking. He left home on foot
- 10:47Speaker 2: and never returned. Now, the next day his family was concerned.
- 10:52Speaker 2: They went, you know, looking in his room and stuff.
- 10:55Speaker 2: They found a note that was believed to be a
- 10:57Speaker 2: suicide letter. Now Angel is a member of the Hopeland
- 11:02Speaker 2: band of Pomo Indians, so he was the subject of
- 11:05Speaker 2: a feather alert now guys on March twenty second. Just
- 11:10Speaker 2: this week, a local nonprofit discovered human remains during a
- 11:15Speaker 2: clean up effort. Today, those rain remains have been officially
- 11:20Speaker 2: identified as Angels Now. While the exact cause of death
- 11:25Speaker 2: is still unknown, police do not suspect foul play. I
- 11:31Speaker 2: want to say our hearts go out to Angels family,
- 11:35Speaker 2: the community, the entire tribe, and we all truly hope
- 11:41Speaker 2: this discovery brings them some measure of peace. I also
- 11:46Speaker 2: want to say, if you or someone you know is struggling,
- 11:51Speaker 2: please know that help is available. You can contact the
- 11:55Speaker 2: Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at nine to eight eight anytime.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I also want you to know you are not alone.
- 12:05Speaker 2: The interesting timing about this was just yesterday on Midday Missing,
- 12:10Speaker 2: I told the story about an amazing woman from New
- 12:13Speaker 2: York named Lisa who is currently walking three thousand miles
- 12:18Speaker 2: from LA to New York on a mission to raise
- 12:22Speaker 2: awareness for suicide prevention and to promote mental fitness, and
- 12:28Speaker 2: I decided it was fitting to share her webpage again
- 12:32Speaker 2: in the hopes that just one person will learn learn
- 12:36Speaker 2: that they are not alone, and they are somebody and
- 12:40Speaker 2: they are loved. And to follow Lisa, you can go
- 12:44Speaker 2: to keep me posted today dot com. Guys, if you're struggling,
- 12:49Speaker 2: there is even a place where you can schedule a
- 12:51Speaker 2: call with her. She will talk with you why she walks.
- 12:58Speaker 2: So that's all I got, guys. I just needed to
- 13:00Speaker 2: share because my heart, my heart's hurting for them.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's tough. That's really hard. Those are those
- 13:12Speaker 1: are all kinds of difficult things to give updates on.
- 13:16Speaker 1: We always hope for the opposite.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and suicide is brought up in our case tonight,
- 13:22Speaker 2: so it kind of didn't mean for all of this
- 13:25Speaker 2: to happen. But let's get on with what you're drinking
- 13:29Speaker 2: so we can get into this boiler crazy stuff.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and everybody will figure out why I picked what
- 13:36Speaker 1: I picked very soon. So what I what I chose
- 13:43Speaker 1: tonight is is a winery called Manajatoi. It is a
- 13:51Speaker 1: Pino griggio. It's tropical, it is refreshing, actually, and this
- 13:57Speaker 1: is one of the wines that I think actually lives
- 13:59Speaker 1: up to what it says it is. It says it's
- 14:02Speaker 1: a trip to the Islands without the worri of sunburn
- 14:04Speaker 1: or bugs. A blend of chardonnay mescado and is seen
- 14:15Speaker 1: it's undeniably fruity and unabashedly easy. Like me, The white
- 14:20Speaker 1: blend brings together centrius and tropical fruit flavors with a
- 14:24Speaker 1: crisp acidity. And yes, this is very good.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Well Ived, I don't think you could have found a
- 14:32Speaker 2: better wine to pair with tonight's show. I have not
- 14:36Speaker 2: tried their whites, but I have had their red blend
- 14:39Speaker 2: and it was good. Now, my only thing is just
- 14:43Speaker 2: tell me that you are not thinking of trying or
- 14:47Speaker 2: joining a minajatoi aka the Pineapple Club in real life,
- 14:51Speaker 2: because I'm not sure Carrie would like that, or missus
- 14:54Speaker 2: brute crime blaf No.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I had crazy, my crazy moments early on. You know,
- 15:00Speaker 1: college was fun. That's where we'll leave it.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Oh, you know, we might need to hear more about
- 15:06Speaker 2: that tomorrow. In one of the little.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Sessions, said like, I'm gonna be sitting on a couch.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Yeah, why you pick this case again?
- 15:22Speaker 1: Listen? What what really really drew me to this case
- 15:27Speaker 1: was how complicated it was and it's not complicated in
- 15:30Speaker 1: the way of like appeals and all this other stuff.
- 15:32Speaker 1: It was complicated in the themes that surrounded It's not
- 15:36Speaker 1: just a story about murder. It's a it's about a
- 15:39Speaker 1: relationship that from the outside looked like a perfect picture,
- 15:43Speaker 1: perfect church couple, but behind closed doors it was full
- 15:48Speaker 1: of secrets, deep dysfunction. And it touches on a lot
- 15:51Speaker 1: of taboo topics, and that includes things like sex and swinging,
- 15:57Speaker 1: faith and and not like swinging on a on a
- 16:00Speaker 1: on a swing, and how those things kind of collide
- 16:04Speaker 1: in ways that people are often too afraid to talk about.
- 16:07Speaker 1: And then there's this tension between what people present to
- 16:10Speaker 1: the world and what's really happening when no one's watching,
- 16:12Speaker 1: And that disconnect really stuck with me because I'm a huge,
- 16:17Speaker 1: huge believer in what Irving Goffman writes about his theory
- 16:20Speaker 1: of dramaturgy, and that basically suggests that social life is
- 16:25Speaker 1: like a theatrical performance, where individuals present themselves in ways
- 16:29Speaker 1: designed to manage the impressions others have of them. People
- 16:33Speaker 1: have a front stage for public behavior and a backstage
- 16:36Speaker 1: where they can drop the performance and be their true selves. Now,
- 16:40Speaker 1: we always say that we're very genuine here. We are
- 16:42Speaker 1: pretty genuine here, but we still have that mask that's on.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I mean, overall, this case frustrated me, honestly, because it
- 16:49Speaker 1: feels like so much damage could have been avoided if
- 16:52Speaker 1: there had been honesty or help, or even just space
- 16:56Speaker 1: for people to talk about the hard stuff without fear.
- 16:59Speaker 1: But instead, what we're left with is a tragedy that
- 17:03Speaker 1: hurt countless numbers of people, not just David, not just
- 17:07Speaker 1: Christie or even Khalil, but their kids, their community, the church.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I keep coming back to this case because it forces
- 17:14Speaker 1: us to sit with uncomfortable truths about power, faith, and intimacy.
- 17:18Speaker 1: And I think those are the cases that really stay
- 17:21Speaker 1: with you, the ones that don't offer easyps answers, but
- 17:25Speaker 1: ask the hard questions. And that's why this case really
- 17:28Speaker 1: kind of like, you know, got my attention.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Now, and I'm not as mad at you for picking
- 17:37Speaker 2: this case as I have been some of the more
- 17:38Speaker 2: recent cases. So there's that.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Now.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Tonight, I'm doing something a little different. I am drinking
- 17:48Speaker 2: from Wine Girl and their Napa Valley Tails menu. I'm
- 17:53Speaker 2: having it's called a rose pedal, so it's supposed to
- 17:57Speaker 2: be one hope rose, which I did not have, so
- 18:01Speaker 2: I grabbed some jewel got rose from my wine fridge.
- 18:04Speaker 2: It has that rose extract syrup that I drank a
- 18:07Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago. But then you top it off
- 18:10Speaker 2: with sparkling water and a pink rose. So I have
- 18:15Speaker 2: a pink rose from my personal garden in it.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Ah, look at you.
- 18:21Speaker 2: So now I'm also being extra because I'm just always extra.
- 18:28Speaker 2: But I am pairing my Wine Girl glass. You can't
- 18:32Speaker 2: really see their logo with my Winegirl T shirt right here,
- 18:37Speaker 2: and guys, the back of it, it says, lead me
- 18:42Speaker 2: to a glass of wine. Okay, Now there is a promo.
- 18:49Speaker 2: You can get fifteen percent off when you use the
- 18:52Speaker 2: code Tiarry True Crime. Here's the deal, guys, if we
- 18:55Speaker 2: can get people to buy some stuff from them and
- 18:58Speaker 2: put in that code, we're trying to get them to
- 19:01Speaker 2: bring us to Napa for a live show or their Scottsdale,
- 19:05Speaker 2: Arizona location. And the picture that JT has up that
- 19:10Speaker 2: is me last July at Wine Girl in Napa when
- 19:14Speaker 2: I got my glass and my shirt.
- 19:17Speaker 1: So it's like a company that was built for you
- 19:20Speaker 1: or something.
- 19:22Speaker 2: I want to know why I didn't start it I mean,
- 19:26Speaker 2: we were too busy doing this, I guess, and I
- 19:29Speaker 2: guess I can't do everything right. I mean, I would
- 19:32Speaker 2: drink all the wine. I can't even get my wine
- 19:34Speaker 2: fridge totally full because I drink it all before I
- 19:36Speaker 2: fill the fridge.
- 19:38Speaker 1: My brain says, yes, totally could do everything.
- 19:43Speaker 2: So well now this case. You know, there are cases
- 19:49Speaker 2: that stick with me and not because they're the most
- 19:53Speaker 2: violent or the most well known as we know, but
- 19:57Speaker 2: like you, because they're complicated, layered and leave you with
- 20:02Speaker 2: more questions than answers. And guys, the case of Christy
- 20:06Speaker 2: Evans is one of those. JT and I have had
- 20:10Speaker 2: to have so many backdoor conversations about it because I
- 20:15Speaker 2: have so many questions. I'm on the fence. I guess
- 20:18Speaker 2: back door sounded a little weird there, considering the minage
- 20:21Speaker 2: I I mean, I am. I mean, so on the surface,
- 20:29Speaker 2: it sounds like something out of a Lifetime movie. A
- 20:32Speaker 2: pastor's wife conspires with her lover, a man they both
- 20:36Speaker 2: previously engaged with in a threesome, to murder her husband
- 20:42Speaker 2: in the middle of the night. But guys, as I
- 20:45Speaker 2: dug deeper, what frustrated me the most wasn't just the
- 20:49Speaker 2: twisted betrayal or the brutal outcome. It was how many
- 20:53Speaker 2: red flags were hiding in plain sight. Okay, red flag
- 20:58Speaker 2: is all over this story. Now. Christy's not your stereotypical murderer.
- 21:04Speaker 2: She was a woman caught in what appears to be
- 21:07Speaker 2: a deeply manipulative and toxic marriage. Yet her choices, especially
- 21:14Speaker 2: turning to murder, don't add up as a simple escape plan. Okay.
- 21:19Speaker 2: There's a mix of power, sex, religion, and secrecy that
- 21:24Speaker 2: makes this case fascinating and infuriating at the same time.
- 21:29Speaker 2: And I can't help but wonder why did it have
- 21:32Speaker 2: to end with somebody dead and two people in prison
- 21:36Speaker 2: and three kids' lives changed forever. I don't and I
- 21:41Speaker 2: have so many flipping, flipping questions, and guys, I'm gonna
- 21:44Speaker 2: warn you throughout tonight, I keep wondering if I'm being
- 21:48Speaker 2: gas lit.
- 21:50Speaker 1: So heads up, Yeah, this is one of those cases
- 21:53Speaker 1: where you know, we certainly straddle the line where you
- 21:59Speaker 1: kind of have to figure figure out what's true, what's
- 22:02Speaker 1: stranger than fiction, what's false, And we're not going to know.
- 22:05Speaker 1: We're gonna base it off of kind of where everything
- 22:09Speaker 1: kind of leads us and there's not a lot in
- 22:12Speaker 1: terms of court documents or things like that, so we
- 22:14Speaker 1: had not a ton to go off of. So don't
- 22:19Speaker 1: take offense. You know, we're certainly listen. The true garment
- 22:22Speaker 1: Wine Times is not victim blame in any way, shape
- 22:24Speaker 1: or form. If any of it is true, it sucks.
- 22:27Speaker 2: However, I'm open to conversation and I am very interested
- 22:33Speaker 2: to hear what our viewers, listeners, and community thinks because
- 22:38Speaker 2: one thing I love is sometimes they bring up things
- 22:42Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh my god, I never thought of that.
- 22:45Speaker 2: And as a person who was married and in a
- 22:49Speaker 2: domestic violent situation, I personally know how hard it is
- 22:52Speaker 2: to get the hell out. So I am not blaming anyone, Okay,
- 22:56Speaker 2: I am not, no, but when you hear the stuff,
- 23:01Speaker 2: you'll hopefully understand where I'm coming from. And I have
- 23:06Speaker 2: to tell you, I love that Lama brought the pineapples.
- 23:13Speaker 2: I just thought of Lama, pineapples and elbow feet. That
- 23:18Speaker 2: is a manaj autois. I want to see.
- 23:23Speaker 1: A Lama, very very niche subgenre. I know.
- 23:31Speaker 2: I'm here for I'm here for it. Oh God about Christy.
- 23:36Speaker 1: All right, well, let's let's get into this. The pastor
- 23:39Speaker 1: his wife in a deadly secret What really happened? As
- 23:42Speaker 1: best as we can ascertain the truth behind Christy Evans crime. So,
- 23:48Speaker 1: Christie Christy Donnel Evans was born on May twenty ninth,
- 23:53Speaker 1: nineteen seventy four, in Roland, Oklahoma, which is on the
- 23:57Speaker 1: easternmost border with Arkansas. He spent much of her childhood
- 24:00Speaker 1: and early adulthood in Roland. She was a member of
- 24:04Speaker 1: a large family who attended church, and she worked a
- 24:06Speaker 1: part time job in high school at the local drive
- 24:08Speaker 1: and burger place, which is where she met David. Terry
- 24:12Speaker 1: is going to talk about that too, Well, talk about
- 24:15Speaker 1: David now.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Yeah, sorry, I was being bad. I am trying to
- 24:25Speaker 2: learn to be like you, JT. I am striving to
- 24:28Speaker 2: be more like you and to be able to multitask
- 24:31Speaker 2: and handle our team stuff while I'm doing this. So
- 24:36Speaker 2: I'm trying, okay, guys. So David was born October ninth,
- 24:41Speaker 2: nineteen seventy in Camden, New Jersey. He was one of
- 24:46Speaker 2: six kids, with him being the baby. Six kids. Okay,
- 24:52Speaker 2: that's a lot of kids, guys.
- 24:54Speaker 1: But that's the half a dozen eggs. That's like five dollars.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Now, that's a lot but when David was a teenager,
- 25:02Speaker 2: the family moved from New Jersey to Oklahoma, Oklahoma.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I promise that's the only time. I just had to
- 25:11Speaker 1: kind of exercise that demon continue.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Okay, I hope it's not the only time, because when
- 25:18Speaker 2: I was writing notes on this, all I kept thinking
- 25:20Speaker 2: of was JT doing that. Okay, So I'm here for it.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Okay, No, we're.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Here for it. I mean, hey, Now, David Evans was
- 25:35Speaker 2: fifty at the time of his death, and he was
- 25:38Speaker 2: a Baptist pastor minister, and he was known to have
- 25:44Speaker 2: traveled abroad and he did mission trips, which I think
- 25:48Speaker 2: is something that is really good. His mom said that
- 25:52Speaker 2: he was a friendly person that everyone loved and adored,
- 25:59Speaker 2: and I'm gonna just say I'm going to question a
- 26:02Speaker 2: lot of that as we go along. Like I said,
- 26:05Speaker 2: and once again, gaslighting. Now, I want to talk a
- 26:10Speaker 2: little bit about Christy and David and their relationship and
- 26:15Speaker 2: their marriage. Now, Christy met David at her part time
- 26:22Speaker 2: job when he went to the drive in and ordered dinner.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I mean, she was this cute little freshman working at
- 26:32Speaker 2: you know, this local drive in eatery thing. But David
- 26:35Speaker 2: waited until she was a senior in high school before
- 26:38Speaker 2: asking her out. That's like three years, guys. He showed
- 26:41Speaker 2: some restraint.
- 26:43Speaker 1: That's that's like something out of like Archie comics or
- 26:47Speaker 1: Happy Days. You know, it just makes me want to go, ah.
- 26:53Speaker 2: I love Happy Days now. David is a pastor now.
- 26:58Speaker 2: But he was the bad boy. Okay. He had long hair,
- 27:02Speaker 2: he partied every weekend, while Christy was said to be
- 27:06Speaker 2: shy and straight lace. I mean, what good girl doesn't
- 27:13Speaker 2: like the bad boys?
- 27:15Speaker 1: He he looks like he looks like a combination of actually,
- 27:20Speaker 1: you know what. He just looks flat out like James
- 27:22Speaker 1: Taylor in the seventies. Oh, I think James Taylor Diamond
- 27:30Speaker 1: in there, but mostly James Taylor.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Okay. Now, they dated for just a few months before
- 27:40Speaker 2: getting married.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I listen, nothing says forever like I think I know
- 27:48Speaker 1: your middle name.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Maybe that's why there's a country song. I forget what
- 27:55Speaker 2: the name of it is. But I think you're my wife,
- 27:58Speaker 2: But I forgot, I don't even know you're first name
- 28:00Speaker 2: or something. But Christy turned eighteen on May twenty ninth,
- 28:07Speaker 2: nineteen ninety one, and they got married on June fourth,
- 28:10Speaker 2: nineteen ninety one. I mean he barely waited for her
- 28:14Speaker 2: to be an adult.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Burley, just Burley barely.
- 28:20Speaker 2: But we've got to remember she was raised in a
- 28:22Speaker 2: religious family. She, you know, wanted to get married and
- 28:24Speaker 2: have a family. Now. Interesting thing about David, he worked
- 28:30Speaker 2: many different jobs over the next seventeen or so years.
- 28:35Speaker 2: He could not find his passion, while Christy got her
- 28:39Speaker 2: CNA and she worked as a nurse. Okay, Now, they
- 28:44Speaker 2: had their first son about a year after getting married.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Then they had a daughter after that, and then they
- 28:52Speaker 2: had another son. But guys, good news. In David's mind.
- 28:58Speaker 2: He got a job at the local Bible bookstore, and
- 29:03Speaker 2: he was intrigued by the pastors in deacons who came
- 29:07Speaker 2: into the store. So David starts taking religious in ministry
- 29:13Speaker 2: classes at night.
- 29:17Speaker 1: I think if I took jobs because I was intrigued
- 29:19Speaker 1: by people, missus Bruce Crime would have left me long ago.
- 29:23Speaker 1: And she'd be like, you're not joining the Costco staff, JT.
- 29:27Speaker 1: You just like the cheese samples at the store.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Yep, you can work in the cheese samples and I'll
- 29:35Speaker 2: work in the wine section. We will rule Costco.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Oh, Mike, we would own Costco.
- 29:42Speaker 2: We would own Costco because they would love us.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Oh, for sure, they're gonna send us on four that's
- 29:50Speaker 1: right now.
- 29:52Speaker 2: In twenty fifteen, David was named the head pastor of
- 29:56Speaker 2: Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Ada, Oklahoma.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Lolahoma, good job.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Now, David was a modern pastor, and as you can
- 30:11Speaker 2: imagine in a small town in Oklahoma, I'm pretty sure
- 30:15Speaker 2: that's still considered the Bible belt. Not all of the
- 30:19Speaker 2: congregation liked his modern ways, but it was said there
- 30:24Speaker 2: were a lot of them that were refreshed by it. Now,
- 30:30Speaker 2: the question for me is what did this mean for
- 30:33Speaker 2: Christy because she became a pastor's wife And just some
- 30:39Speaker 2: quick Google searching explains that a pastor's wife's role is
- 30:44Speaker 2: to love God with all of her heart, soul, mind,
- 30:48Speaker 2: and strength, and to love and support her husband as
- 30:51Speaker 2: he follows God. Okay, that's a lot, people, I'm just
- 30:58Speaker 2: gonna say that's a lot. Okay, But what she required
- 31:02Speaker 2: to do anything? Now, Apparently, even though the Bible doesn't
- 31:06Speaker 2: say anything about it, she is among the most important
- 31:10Speaker 2: person in the church. She's one of those very important
- 31:14Speaker 2: people some wives serve right alongside their husbands, fully engaged
- 31:19Speaker 2: in the visible public work of ministry, while others excel
- 31:24Speaker 2: in supporting in prayer, raising their family, and doing a
- 31:27Speaker 2: less visible kind of ministry. But I mean, what did
- 31:32Speaker 2: Christy do specifically? I mean, it's kind of hard to
- 31:35Speaker 2: tell because the website is no longer in service and
- 31:39Speaker 2: the wayback machine was a little to no help as
- 31:44Speaker 2: each snapshot was broken. Now, the Facebook page wasn't updated
- 31:49Speaker 2: from October twenty twenty one to January twenty twenty five.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Now the church is still there. They've rebranded a little bit. Okay,
- 31:57Speaker 2: now you ready for this. Several the police officers were
- 32:01Speaker 2: members of David's church. Okay, once again we hear that
- 32:07Speaker 2: David was well whited, and everyone said he worked hard
- 32:11Speaker 2: for the congregation. All I hear in my mind is
- 32:17Speaker 2: works hot for the moneys hot. Yeah see, I don't sing.
- 32:24Speaker 2: But now, one thing that we've got to remember, appearances
- 32:30Speaker 2: aren't always what they seem or allegedly. Okay, everyone in
- 32:38Speaker 2: town thought that Christy and David were a great couple
- 32:42Speaker 2: and that they really seem to be in love. I mean,
- 32:45Speaker 2: look at that picture. She's not shying away from him.
- 32:49Speaker 2: They look happy. Now, he is a tall guy, guys.
- 32:52Speaker 2: He is six foot three and she's four foot eleven,
- 32:56Speaker 2: she's a little by thing. Okay. But but this wasn't
- 33:01Speaker 2: the case according to Christy in some of the information
- 33:06Speaker 2: provided by her daughter, Now, Facebook messages between Christy and
- 33:10Speaker 2: David told a story that was a bit different. And
- 33:14Speaker 2: this did lead experts to believe that Christy was a
- 33:18Speaker 2: victim of course of control by her husband. And this
- 33:23Speaker 2: includes a range of emotional, physical, and other abusive behaviors
- 33:29Speaker 2: like isolation, humiliation, financial control, sexual commersion, and low level violence.
- 33:37Speaker 2: I mean, guys, it's like a hostage situation. Okay. Now,
- 33:43Speaker 2: the probable cause Affidavid shows authorities were at least aware
- 33:48Speaker 2: of the couple's relationship troubles because, according to the state investigator,
- 33:54Speaker 2: Christie told authorities that he was controlling and verbally abusive. Okay. Now, Christy,
- 34:01Speaker 2: they say, was actually planning with her attorney, Joe Miskel,
- 34:07Speaker 2: to present a self defense case for battered woman in
- 34:11Speaker 2: syndrome in court. Now, her father believed her. He said
- 34:17Speaker 2: she seized an opportunity to escape from her personal health. Okay. Now,
- 34:24Speaker 2: apparently the abuse which alleged was allegedly against the children
- 34:29Speaker 2: as well. Guys, I'm saying allegedly because like we said,
- 34:34Speaker 2: very little documentation and proof not taking sides here. Brittaney
- 34:40Speaker 2: Long provided more details for this. Brittany is their only
- 34:45Speaker 2: daughter now from NBC News, she said she couldn't recall
- 34:49Speaker 2: a time when her father wasn't abusive. He would slam
- 34:53Speaker 2: the kids' heads together and lift them by their hair
- 34:58Speaker 2: long in. One of her younger brother There's Zachariah recalled
- 35:03Speaker 2: when they were younger, The siblings said he would make
- 35:06Speaker 2: them stay up all night cleaning and if they finished,
- 35:09Speaker 2: he'd knock everything over again and insult them while they worked.
- 35:15Speaker 2: So Brittany also stated that he controlled the money. She
- 35:20Speaker 2: recalled how in high school she and her mother would
- 35:23Speaker 2: stop at the Sonic Drive in which if not everybody
- 35:28Speaker 2: has those, it's a fast food franchise, and have really
- 35:31Speaker 2: great tater talks with cheese now, but her mom would
- 35:36Speaker 2: remind her to throw out her trash so that her
- 35:40Speaker 2: father didn't see it. And it looks like JT may
- 35:48Speaker 2: have gone computer crazy again, so y'all are stuck with me.
- 35:53Speaker 2: But anyway, after they bought this, they had to throw
- 35:57Speaker 2: the receipts away. And guys, if this is true, that
- 36:01Speaker 2: is absolutely financial control. Okay, that is a problem. Now, Hey,
- 36:08Speaker 2: he's back. Don't tell me where.
- 36:13Speaker 1: I'm going to have like a coronary.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Yeah. Now. Britney says that the Easter of twenty ten,
- 36:21Speaker 2: her brothers and her went to the police to report
- 36:24Speaker 2: the abuse, and because she was eighteen at the time,
- 36:28Speaker 2: she just by her own choice left home and moved out.
- 36:32Speaker 2: But she said her brothers were removed from the home
- 36:35Speaker 2: and then returned and guys, I tried to dig deep
- 36:41Speaker 2: to see if there was any police reports or things filed.
- 36:45Speaker 2: I couldn't find anything. Doesn't mean it's not there. I
- 36:48Speaker 2: didn't have time to do a FOIA, which is a
- 36:52Speaker 2: freedom of Information Act in case y'all don't know. But
- 36:56Speaker 2: I did find that interesting. But there's no documentation about it.
- 37:00Speaker 2: So that's why we're saying allegedly, all right.
- 37:07Speaker 1: On to me, if you're with us, I hope, so
- 37:12Speaker 1: we'll find out just how long. I have a feeling that,
- 37:15Speaker 1: like you know, I don't know. It's like I'm getting
- 37:18Speaker 1: technologically struck by by God. All right. So on March
- 37:24Speaker 1: twenty second, twenty twenty one, Christy and David went to
- 37:28Speaker 1: bed between eight thirty and nine pm. It was quiet
- 37:32Speaker 1: until there were popping sounds, according to Christy. Rising to look,
- 37:36Speaker 1: Christy said that she saw David laying in bed with
- 37:39Speaker 1: a hole in his head and blood dripping down the
- 37:41Speaker 1: side of his face. She reported that she ran to
- 37:45Speaker 1: see if she could see anyone running away.
- 37:51Speaker 2: First off, I want to know, do married couples normally
- 37:55Speaker 2: go to bed at eight thirty when they're empty nesters
- 37:58Speaker 2: and in their fifties, because me double eighth or lucky
- 38:02Speaker 2: if we get in bed by ten thirty. Do you
- 38:06Speaker 2: get in bed at eight?
- 38:06Speaker 1: Though? Man? Lets something really sick? Usually I'm doing like
- 38:12Speaker 1: my third, fourth and fifth job.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and the other thing that just struck my little brain.
- 38:19Speaker 2: You realize it's March twenty seventh and he was killed
- 38:22Speaker 2: on March twenty second. We did not plan that, guys,
- 38:25Speaker 2: but it's the week.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Of Yeah, you know, we found that a couple of times.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I know, I think it's just kismet karma.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Probably well, So, around one eleven am, Christie placed a
- 38:41Speaker 1: nine one one call saying that an intruder had entered
- 38:45Speaker 1: her home at fourteen twenty North Crest Drive, and that
- 38:48Speaker 1: intruder shot her husband. And we're going to listen to
- 38:50Speaker 1: the nine one one call here.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Maybe we do you see a gun anywhere around him?
- 39:18Speaker 1: And there you have. When officers arrived at the residence,
- 39:22Speaker 1: they did find fifty year old as you saw, David
- 39:24Speaker 1: Evans with a gunshot wound, and he died on the scene.
- 39:27Speaker 1: They were unable to find a gun, nor did they
- 39:30Speaker 1: see any evidence of breaking and nothing was stolen. Now,
- 39:34Speaker 1: when asked, Christie said that she didn't know of anyone
- 39:37Speaker 1: who wanted to hurt her husband, and that she got
- 39:40Speaker 1: out of bed and said she went to see if
- 39:42Speaker 1: she could see anyone running away.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Okay, which is first red flag alert in this because girl,
- 39:51Speaker 2: that is a red flag Okay. What woman's husband gets
- 39:55Speaker 2: shot while they are in bed together and she runs
- 39:59Speaker 2: to the window to see who is running away? Because guys,
- 40:02Speaker 2: let's be real. You grab your phone, you run to
- 40:06Speaker 2: the closet, and you call the police. I mean, what
- 40:10Speaker 2: if the guy saw you in the window while you
- 40:13Speaker 2: were looking out there and fired the gun back up
- 40:15Speaker 2: up at you. So I'm gonna just say she did
- 40:19Speaker 2: not think through her statement, because the police were like,
- 40:24Speaker 2: that doesn't make sense to us.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Yeah, sorry, And like I said, they couldn't find a gun.
- 40:31Speaker 1: I couldn't see any evidence of breaking in anything stolen.
- 40:34Speaker 1: They decided to go old school, and they went door
- 40:36Speaker 1: to door and they asked if anyone had seen or
- 40:39Speaker 1: heard anything out of the ordinary. Now, there was a
- 40:41Speaker 1: neighbor that told them she saw an old white Mustang
- 40:44Speaker 1: outside of the not a horse, let's saying, an old
- 40:49Speaker 1: white man. I mean, you know, anyway, I saw us
- 40:54Speaker 1: an old white Mustang outside of the Evans house last week.
- 40:58Speaker 1: And it wasn't a car that they had seen before,
- 41:00Speaker 1: so it was a very it was out of the ordinary.
- 41:06Speaker 2: I mean, guys, am I the only one who couldn't
- 41:10Speaker 2: tell you what cars are at my neighbor's house? I mean,
- 41:13Speaker 2: I seriously never pay attention. Now, maybe it's because most
- 41:18Speaker 2: people where I live park in the garage, But guys,
- 41:22Speaker 2: this made me start thinking, am I a bad true
- 41:26Speaker 2: crime person? Slash murder Reno because DOUBLEH has now given
- 41:30Speaker 2: me the nickname murder Reino and started calling me that.
- 41:33Speaker 2: But am I bad? Because I don't pay attention to
- 41:35Speaker 2: the cars.
- 41:38Speaker 1: I could other than like my direct next door neighbors
- 41:44Speaker 1: on either side, that's the only people that I can
- 41:47Speaker 1: pay attention to. I don't have enough, Like I don't
- 41:51Speaker 1: have enough like mind space to remember that kind of
- 41:54Speaker 1: a thing. So yeah, no, not really. They so after
- 42:03Speaker 1: they figured out after they heard from that neighbor, they
- 42:08Speaker 1: then found a neighbor across the street who had a
- 42:11Speaker 1: sorry white wine man had a doorbell camera and they
- 42:15Speaker 1: were able to see the vehicle described by the other
- 42:17Speaker 1: neighbor in that camera. The police then checked local business
- 42:22Speaker 1: cameras and we're able to get a photo of the
- 42:24Speaker 1: license plate of the Mustang. Love how this happens. Then
- 42:28Speaker 1: they found out that the car belonged to Khalil Square,
- 42:31Speaker 1: and he immediately became a person of interest.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Now I think I'm gonna have to say, I think
- 42:39Speaker 2: Lady and Gray just shamed me because you said you
- 42:42Speaker 2: should pay attend to the cars and people too. Now
- 42:46Speaker 2: I agree. Now, maybe, like I said, it's just because
- 42:50Speaker 2: where we live, we don't use the front door very often.
- 42:53Speaker 2: We go through the garage and everything's on the back
- 42:56Speaker 2: side of the house. Double H's office looks out the street.
- 43:01Speaker 2: I don't see that. So maybe it's because of that
- 43:05Speaker 2: that I don't see it. I will say. When I'm
- 43:08Speaker 2: back out of my driveway to go somewhere, I look
- 43:12Speaker 2: to see what's around me and if there's any people
- 43:15Speaker 2: walking or cars I don't recognize. But other than that,
- 43:18Speaker 2: I don't want to be like my neighbor across the street.
- 43:21Speaker 2: And if she's watching tonight, hi Jen, I mean she
- 43:24Speaker 2: will text me and say, hey, where are you going?
- 43:27Speaker 2: Because she watches me leave out our window. I mean,
- 43:31Speaker 2: I'm like, good thing, she's a brand and not just
- 43:33Speaker 2: a n so I know, so I don't have visibility.
- 43:41Speaker 2: But just forty eight hours after David's murder, detectives call
- 43:47Speaker 2: Christy back in because you know, they questioned her the
- 43:51Speaker 2: night of got her statement, but they called her back
- 43:53Speaker 2: in to ask if she knew of anyone named Khalil
- 43:57Speaker 2: square so, and she confesses that he is her boyfriend
- 44:05Speaker 2: and that hair. That's all I'm going to say, but
- 44:07Speaker 2: that hair. Now, she tells them that yes, she knows
- 44:12Speaker 2: he has a criminal record, but that he would never
- 44:15Speaker 2: have hurt her husband, David.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Yeah, and I would never ride a dragon given the chance.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you would, now, just saying you would. Now, Christy
- 44:31Speaker 2: admitted to the police that she and David were swingers
- 44:36Speaker 2: and that's how she met Khalil. Yes, guys, you heard
- 44:40Speaker 2: me correctly. The pastor and his wife are swingers. Now.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Side note for you guys, if you want to go
- 44:50Speaker 2: and do some research on your own, you can find
- 44:53Speaker 2: video of David preaching a sermon about marriage or vows
- 45:00Speaker 2: and only having sexual relations with your spouse. So just
- 45:04Speaker 2: saying now, Christy then details the rules around their swinging lifestyle.
- 45:18Speaker 2: I did not I didn't know that was pop it up.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Oh my god, that is so perfect.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Now.
- 45:27Speaker 2: One of the main rules is that they are not
- 45:30Speaker 2: allowed to use their real names with the other people. Okay,
- 45:36Speaker 2: So they have to be like Peppermint or whatever. Now,
- 45:41Speaker 2: and that's what I want to name a horse someday,
- 45:47Speaker 2: So I'm gonna name it Peppermint. So if I ever
- 45:52Speaker 2: get in a situation, if I'm a stripper, if I
- 45:56Speaker 2: ever need a name, it's gonna be Peppermint, because I'm
- 45:58Speaker 2: never gonna get a horse. So pepper met okay, and
- 46:05Speaker 2: they were also never to see the individuals outside of
- 46:08Speaker 2: meeting up as a couple. Okay. So she admits to
- 46:13Speaker 2: being a cheater, but nothing else and police have no
- 46:18Speaker 2: evidence against her, so they let her leave. Okay, but
- 46:24Speaker 2: she tells police that she did not tell them the
- 46:29Speaker 2: night David was murdered about them being swingers because she
- 46:33Speaker 2: thought I would make them look bad. And I just
- 46:37Speaker 2: want to say, you think he's a pastor and preaches
- 46:43Speaker 2: about that, so.
- 46:47Speaker 1: You know, my head was spending with all of that.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Let me let me just let me just understand. She
- 46:54Speaker 1: laid out all the rules like she was reading from
- 46:56Speaker 1: a PTA handbook, and she treated these rules more like guidelines.
- 47:01Speaker 1: And even then she treated those like IKEA instructions. She
- 47:05Speaker 1: skimmed to ignore the warnings and ended up with something
- 47:07Speaker 1: dangerous and missing a few screws, and then well maybe
- 47:11Speaker 1: not missing a few screws, and then and then then
- 47:14Speaker 1: she tells police that she did not tell them the
- 47:18Speaker 1: truth because it would look bad. And that's well, that's
- 47:21Speaker 1: like telling the TSA you have a chainsaw on your
- 47:24Speaker 1: carry on because you were afraid they might get the
- 47:27Speaker 1: wrong idea. So you said nothing, Do I have this correct?
- 47:32Speaker 2: I think you do? I think you do?
- 47:37Speaker 1: I do I do.
- 47:38Speaker 2: It's it's it's crazy now. Then the next day, Okay
- 47:45Speaker 2: police get a shocking phone call from Christian David's daughter, Brittany,
- 47:51Speaker 2: the one that I talked about earlier, who said all
- 47:54Speaker 2: of this about her mom. She tells the police that
- 47:56Speaker 2: her mom has more to tell them. Okay, So buckle up, guys,
- 48:03Speaker 2: because Christy goes back to see detectives and once again
- 48:07Speaker 2: her story changes. I mean, this woman's got stories. Okay,
- 48:12Speaker 2: So if you're counting what I know, this officially makes
- 48:15Speaker 2: her third version of the story that she told police.
- 48:18Speaker 2: We're not talking about when she told other people, just
- 48:21Speaker 2: the police, Okay. Now, this time she confesses that Khalil
- 48:28Speaker 2: killed David because she asked him to. She had told
- 48:32Speaker 2: Khalil that David verbally and physically abused her, and she
- 48:37Speaker 2: went on to say that she had had sex with
- 48:41Speaker 2: fifty to one hundred men because David had forced her to. Now,
- 48:46Speaker 2: I gotta say something funny here because that's heavy. But
- 48:51Speaker 2: I want to know how you can't decipher between fifty
- 48:54Speaker 2: and one hundred because that's quite a range. I mean,
- 48:56Speaker 2: if I'm not going to get fifty pennies to one
- 48:59Speaker 2: hundred pennies, I mean, I'm maybe it's me because I
- 49:03Speaker 2: don't math. But I needed something funny here because the
- 49:09Speaker 2: fact that she was abused and she shares it with
- 49:12Speaker 2: the police. Now, Christy then went on to tell detectives
- 49:18Speaker 2: that David was a sex addict and that he liked
- 49:22Speaker 2: to watch her having sex with other men. I mean, guys,
- 49:25Speaker 2: if that's what turns him on, and if it's consensual
- 49:29Speaker 2: between the two people, and she agrees, I think it's
- 49:33Speaker 2: her business. And guys, after you hear what she says
- 49:38Speaker 2: in the letter said while she was waiting for trial,
- 49:43Speaker 2: I am going to say I think that she was
- 49:47Speaker 2: not forced. This is where I said, I am on
- 49:51Speaker 2: the fence. I can't decide if I'm being gas lit
- 49:54Speaker 2: or what. And I wish I could sit down and
- 49:56Speaker 2: have a conversation with her, but she He then goes
- 50:00Speaker 2: on to say that she couldn't leave David because he
- 50:03Speaker 2: threatened to kill himself or kill her, so the only
- 50:08Speaker 2: way out she saw was to have him killed. Now, guys,
- 50:13Speaker 2: let me just be Captain obvious here or Captain underpants,
- 50:17Speaker 2: whichever one you want.
- 50:19Speaker 1: I mean, you have to be wearing them.
- 50:23Speaker 2: You have to be wearing them. I mean, you don't
- 50:25Speaker 2: want to leave him because you're worried he's going to
- 50:27Speaker 2: kill himself, but you're okay with having him killed. I
- 50:32Speaker 2: mean this confused me. I need you to make up
- 50:34Speaker 2: your mind. Do you want him to live or do
- 50:37Speaker 2: you want him dead? Because well, I guess I answered
- 50:42Speaker 2: the question myself because he's dead. But that's another reason
- 50:48Speaker 2: I am so unsure now. She also said she was
- 50:53Speaker 2: confessing and telling the detectives the whole truth so that
- 50:58Speaker 2: she could get right with God.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on, wait a second, hold on one moment.
- 51:10Speaker 1: The library is open. HUNTI no, you don't get to
- 51:16Speaker 1: yell I'm getting right with God. Like it's a punch
- 51:18Speaker 1: card at a frozen yogurt place. You don't commit a
- 51:22Speaker 1: murder on Monday and try.
- 51:24Speaker 2: To cash in spiritual.
- 51:25Speaker 1: Rewards by Thursday. Where was the holy attitude when you
- 51:29Speaker 1: were handing Khalil the murder weapon like it was a
- 51:32Speaker 1: party favor. This is this is not how redemption works.
- 51:36Speaker 1: It's not a weekend retreat. It's not a SPA day,
- 51:39Speaker 1: and it's not a cue pot. The library's closed.
- 51:43Speaker 2: I agree, And like I said earlier, it's one reason
- 51:48Speaker 2: why I am so on the fence, because I never
- 51:52Speaker 2: want to blame a victim, and I'm not blaming her.
- 51:56Speaker 2: I'm just saying I cannot buy all of her claims. Okay,
- 52:03Speaker 2: I do think there was some emotional abuse, financial abuse,
- 52:08Speaker 2: but yeah, now, she did not go home that night,
- 52:13Speaker 2: and guys, there's a possibility that she will never go
- 52:17Speaker 2: home again in this lifetime.
- 52:19Speaker 1: I lie the luck library is open again except to
- 52:22Speaker 1: the dear Lord when she dies, but probably not even then,
- 52:27Speaker 1: Saint Peter's gonna be at the Pearly gate saying well, well, well,
- 52:31Speaker 1: if it isn't time getting right with God herself. Then
- 52:35Speaker 1: he checks his list. He squints, flips a few pages,
- 52:38Speaker 1: and goes, yeah, so about that, God said, you tried
- 52:42Speaker 1: to explain the murder in a letter with lipstick kisses.
- 52:47Speaker 1: It's gonna be a no from us. Dog.
- 52:55Speaker 2: I like you as a librarian near mind Ooh, I
- 52:59Speaker 2: bet you will be the naughty little librarian in the minajatois.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Maybe I know, have my character for my drag. Oh.
- 53:11Speaker 2: Maybe. Now Christy continues to go on and detail the
- 53:16Speaker 2: abuse she says she suffered from David and David and
- 53:20Speaker 2: Christie's kids. Two of them did say that when their
- 53:23Speaker 2: parents were good, they were great, but when they were bad,
- 53:29Speaker 2: things were not great. I mean, later their son even
- 53:33Speaker 2: detailed the physical abuse he suffered at the hands of
- 53:36Speaker 2: his father. Now I need to be fair, because I
- 53:41Speaker 2: need to just go on record and saying I'm not
- 53:44Speaker 2: saying David is a good guy. I do think he
- 53:47Speaker 2: was a controlling I do think he was an abuser.
- 53:51Speaker 2: But I'm also saying he didn't need to be murdered
- 53:55Speaker 2: because you can get a divorce and spare your children's
- 54:00Speaker 2: to be traumatized. Even further, if their father abused them
- 54:04Speaker 2: and traumatize them, then your mom does that. Just we're
- 54:09Speaker 2: compounding trauma after trauma. We are.
- 54:15Speaker 1: Now we have mentioned so far Khalil Square, who we
- 54:22Speaker 1: have deemed the lover and the accomplice. So Khalil was
- 54:29Speaker 1: born December two, nineteen ninety four. Nineteen ninety four. He
- 54:39Speaker 1: was raised by his loving grandparents. Am I wrong?
- 54:44Speaker 2: I think it was ninety No, I'm just like going
- 54:46Speaker 2: nineteen ninety four. That's when one of my children were born.
- 54:51Speaker 1: That's a few years before me or after me, not
- 54:54Speaker 1: before me. Take going after you, please.
- 54:57Speaker 2: I mean before you?
- 55:00Speaker 1: Yeah, before you? Yeah, you know, after yep. All right.
- 55:07Speaker 1: So he was raised by his grandparents, his loving grandparents.
- 55:10Speaker 1: Despite this, and as we know, things sometimes are beyond
- 55:14Speaker 1: a simple parents or grandparents love. Khalil ended up serving
- 55:19Speaker 1: four years in prison for aggravated assault with the deadly
- 55:22Speaker 1: weapon after he stabbed Amand during a confrontation. I have
- 55:25Speaker 1: been informed by producer Terra that it is a twenty
- 55:28Speaker 1: year age difference and that that, my friends, is the
- 55:33Speaker 1: difference between blues cruise and something else.
- 55:40Speaker 2: Wait a minute, I always say, difference is there between us? Well,
- 55:47Speaker 2: I want to say I'm going to be fifty five
- 55:49Speaker 2: in July.
- 55:52Speaker 1: I'm thirty six to thirty seven, so so close close.
- 55:57Speaker 2: So it's like, oh that, I'm sorry elephants dat. I
- 56:01Speaker 2: think you're great, but yeah, that's just no, no, that's
- 56:04Speaker 2: a no for me. I got a hair.
- 56:08Speaker 1: Bob that sounds like I got one, Okay, so that
- 56:15Speaker 1: would be.
- 56:15Speaker 2: Like me having sex with my child.
- 56:19Speaker 1: Well, she didn't seem to care. I guess. Oh, I
- 56:25Speaker 1: don't know. The pair and Khalil seemed like they would
- 56:29Speaker 1: roll in the same circles, right of course they would, well,
- 56:34Speaker 1: pretty much the opposite obviously, just kidding. The question is
- 56:38Speaker 1: how in the hell did David and Christy find Khalil? Well,
- 56:44Speaker 1: they met when David found Khalil on Craigslist, as one does.
- 56:48Speaker 1: I guess, good God, David, Christi and Khalil met up
- 56:54Speaker 1: in More, Oklahoma, around an hour and a half north.
- 57:00Speaker 1: And yes, I did look it up. Where Khalil lived
- 57:03Speaker 1: for a threestem. David and Christy had such a good
- 57:08Speaker 1: time they met up again a week later. Now, what
- 57:11Speaker 1: do we know about threesomes? One they sound like a
- 57:14Speaker 1: great idea until someone brings a whiteboard in a diagram. Two,
- 57:19Speaker 1: there will always be one person who suddenly gets very
- 57:22Speaker 1: into performance arts. And three, at least one person will
- 57:26Speaker 1: pretend they've quote never done this before while clearly assembling
- 57:30Speaker 1: ikea furniture midact.
- 57:34Speaker 2: Okay, first, I got to say, I think you know
- 57:39Speaker 2: way too much. But I'm going to just go on
- 57:42Speaker 2: the record and say you probably googled. But we can
- 57:44Speaker 2: talk about that tomorrow night.
- 57:46Speaker 1: But I've never done this before, Terry.
- 57:49Speaker 2: This got me thinking, and I went down a rabbit
- 57:52Speaker 2: hole about what are the most awkward things someone can
- 57:55Speaker 2: say during a threesome? So number one, but I like
- 58:01Speaker 2: that one more. Number two? Do you think his is
- 58:14Speaker 2: bigger than mine?
- 58:20Speaker 1: That's a trap?
- 58:22Speaker 2: Okay, but guys, my favorite is what does that smell?
- 58:30Speaker 1: Oh?
- 58:31Speaker 2: Oh, so thank you Reddit for helping me go down
- 58:36Speaker 2: that rabbit hole, because there was a whole Reddit section
- 58:41Speaker 2: about awkward things to say and do while having a threesome.
- 58:46Speaker 2: I mean, I spent like two hours in a threesome
- 58:48Speaker 2: rabbit hole.
- 58:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna let that one simmer for a second and
- 58:54Speaker 1: then continue on. Okay. So the bottom line is that
- 59:00Speaker 1: something like that requires trust, and it's the kind of
- 59:03Speaker 1: trust you ge't when you lock eyes with someone across
- 59:06Speaker 1: a room and silently agree. No one talks about the
- 59:09Speaker 1: sock puppet incident ever again. Now why do I say this? Well,
- 59:15Speaker 1: Christy was interested in Khalil outside of her marriage, and
- 59:18Speaker 1: she left him a note with her number on it
- 59:20Speaker 1: after they all met up a week after their first hookup.
- 59:23Speaker 1: She basically would just like scribble it and just like, eh, trash, Khalil,
- 59:29Speaker 1: Can you pick that up for me and don't throw
- 59:31Speaker 1: it away? They began an affair that went on for
- 59:38Speaker 1: several months and up to the murder. Khalil believed that
- 59:42Speaker 1: Christy was in love with him, which is like saying
- 59:46Speaker 1: the barista who smiled that she wants to raise alpacas
- 59:49Speaker 1: together in Vermont. No they want a tip, and no no,
- 59:54Speaker 1: not just the tip. They want to provide good surface.
- 59:58Speaker 1: Christy wanted something from him, hence her being nice. Trauma
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: is dress.
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: So that's the moment, that's me that is not true.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: If they walk eyes with me, they want to raise
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: goats and dogs with me. So, oh, okay, how do
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: you think I got double H.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: I'm assuming you didn't have him murder anybody, but I don't.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Know that's trin It wasn't during threesome. So I just
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: thought about that after I said it. I did not
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: find him on Craig's list, and I did not find
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: him in a threesome.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: He was on double H list and he was the
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: only one. So according to Khalil, he had never so this, guys.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: According to Khalil, he had never been with someone who
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: he could have such intense sexual relations, which really makes
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: you rethink your entire nun fear. I guess I just wow.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Christy told Khalil that David abused her and that the
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: only way they could ever be together was if David
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: was dead, which is less a red flag and more
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: flaming banner with the words you're going to prison stitched
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: in human error kind of buries the lead. So on
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: the night of the murder, Christy gave David a sleeping
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: pill so he could quote get a good night's rest,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: which is like handing someone a parachute made of bricks
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: and saying sweet dreams in the way down. Christy then
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: left the door unlocked and provided a gun for Khalil
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: to use, and in his confession, Khalil said that he
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: got scared and he started getting cold feet. But Christie,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: who was quote sleeping, told Khalil just do it and
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: kill him before he wakes up. And I can only
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: imagine the like the mom look that he got, you
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: know what I mean, just like yeah, so Khalil being devoted,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: I guess he was a devoted third wheel shot. David
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: took the gun and then left the house. I've never
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: seen somebody be so devoted as part of a tricycle,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: but here we are.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: I mean, I wonder how long she gave Khalil to
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: get away from the crime scene before she called nine
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: on one because I looked and I couldn't find it anywhere,
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: did you see.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I didn't. And it's really it's really difficult, because yes
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: you can. I mean, we don't have I don't have,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: like you know, as morbid as it sounds, I don't
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: have the autopsy to find out when they determined his
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: time of death. And if you could, if you can
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: clock that then you can compare it to when she called.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: But my guess is he literally just walked down the street,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: or not down the street, but he just walked to
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: his car and just got and left, you know.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Probably like fifteen minutes.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Max. Yeah, yeah, I want to know how.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: Morbid I am because we're in this true crime space
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: and this just hit my brain. You don't think they
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: like had some of that amazing sex after he did
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: that before he left, do you? I It just me
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: it's the.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Wine, and so yeah, maybe I don't think so, I don't.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: I don't.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: I don't either, but it just hit my brain that
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: I never thought of it.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Yeah. So, like we had mentioned, you know a little earlier,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: three days after David's murder, Christy was arrested and charged
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: when the prosecutor and the defense couldn't come to a
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: plea agreement. Look at her in those little handcuffs. So
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: she's like a Kei blerelf who started eating the cookies.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: All right, I shouldn't have said that, but I said
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: it anyway. In it So she was arrested in charge
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: with the prosecutor and the defense could not come to
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: a plea agreement where she agreed to plead guilty. So
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: they did what's called a blind plea, and what that
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: means is that's that's a plea deal where the judge
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: gets to determine the sentence. So Christie's defense attorney was
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: asking for four years in prison and life on probation.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: That's what she was asking for.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: I mean, you know what they say, you don't know.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: If you don't ask, sure.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: That you don't know.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: If you don't askulting, it's insulting.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: You get more for attempted murder. So while the prosecution
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: wanted her to be sentenced to life without parole, was
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: this was this was based on the fact that they
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: felt she was a very good liar and the fact
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: that she had continued writing explicitly sexual letters two different
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: men while awaiting trial. I I just, I can't. I
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: don't understand. I here, I just, I just I just
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: want to take two moments and just yeah, that'll work.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Read what I've drafted up here. Uh, this is what
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: I think that letter read light and here we go.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: Dear handsome stranger. I hope this letter finds you well
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: in imagining me. Of course, I'm not going to lie.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: It gets off alonely in here, cold nights, colder beds,
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: and no one to whisper my secrets to well, not
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: the fun ones.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: And anyway.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: You ever wonder what it's like to be touched like
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: a sermon and sinned for like a confession. I could
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: teach you both, Sugar. I may be behind bars, but
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: trust me, I still know how to preach to the flesh.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: You me a locked door, no need for forgiveness. You
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: should write back to me, tell me what you'd do
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: if I were lying besides you right now, nothing but
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: skin and intentions. I'll write back with all the details
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: you can't say in church unless your church is into that,
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: in which case a'll ehlujah yours in temptation.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: Christie. Now, while I've obviously just made that up, I
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: feel like that's probably a pretty accurate way to describe that,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: since in one letter she wrote, and I quote and
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: this was written for sure one moment. Please, I'm so
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: good in bed. Any man would have killed hold on, sorry,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: I'm so good in bed. Any man would have killed
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: my husband if I asked. Now, while that's a hell
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: of a review for YELP, I don't think that's something
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: you need. The guards than the lawyers than the judge reading.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure I just heard a collective face poem
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: from everybody. I hope or its vomiting. It's one of
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: the two.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: I mean, all I'm saying to hear is going, what
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: is the actual hell? I mean, she must think her
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: pee is extra extra magical, because guys, I personally cannot
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: imagine anyone that is that good in bed, and not
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: even Magic Mike could get me to go kill somebody.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure she wasn't sparkle Puss. So you should
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: be safe to retain that title.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Well, I am sure, because Amber would have done you
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: in and we would have been covering you on a
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: case if you tried to take away sparkle Puss, because
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: sparkle Puss is my name. That is my name.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: We get we we get a lot of we get
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: a lot of questions, you know, and I think this
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: is this is a key one. This is a foundational one.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: From our producer Tara. She wonders if her swinger name
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: was Holy Ghost, maybe it was Holy Driver, Holy Drive.
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: I mean, I have to say I didn't even know
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: that you could go to Craigslist for a hookup. I
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: thought that's what you use like the apps for I'm
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: like so out of touch. I didn't know you could
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: do hookups on Craigslist. Oh oh yes, you sure can you?
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: Oh girl, girl, girl, I mean, how do you think
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: most young kids at that point when Craigslist was a
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: big deal suddenly knew a lot of things about a
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: lot of things.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Really, I thought you just bought like dogs, or you
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: bought washing machines or things like that, or you found
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: a job on Craiglist.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna need you to ask your son and see
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: what he used.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: He used my Space.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: That, Oh that was a very unique part of my
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Space that I guess the algorithm didn't put me in
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: touch with.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: Thank god, uh soused until later. It looks like producer
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: terra things. We found our topic for tomorrow. Now, I
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: will say on Craigslist when I say, you could look
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: for jobs there and post your resumes. I know back
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: in the day we would tell women. As a TA director,
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: I would tell my staff as recruiters, always tell the females,
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: do not put your address on your resume, because if
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: you're out of a job, then they know you're at
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: home alone. Yep, okay, but I didn't know you could
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: go on there and dolla hookup.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: What available online there? Yeah? Yeah, the person that's where
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: you get like that male seek female or you get
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: the male age, da da da da da, you get
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: like all the identifiers. That's where that all. Yeah, I'm
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: sure it comes from earlier than that, like sixty.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: Here it was the observer in Texas. She did that. Okay,
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: that makes sense. Then I was thinking that there was
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: a pineapple section that you said, Hey, I want.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: To hook up with my there's that. Oh, there's a
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: little bit of everything for everyone. It's like it's like
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: the the verbal porn hub. There was a sub genre
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: for everything.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: So can I ask tomorrow night on our members only?
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: Because I trust our members only? Great, but I love them.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: Can y'all edge imacate me? Please on this Craigslist?
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: Well found our topic for tomorrow.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Okay, now let's keep going because yeah, I need to
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: learn more.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: So, continuing on with what producer Tara appropriately described as
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: nightmare fuel, Christy said that she guessed she should have
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: watched more Dayline. Yes, ma'am, yes you should have, but
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: I'm really glad you did. Lesson one, don't leave a
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: paper trail. Lesson two, don't confess like it's a game show.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: And lesson three, Keith Morrison will roast your ass in
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: a voice so soothing you'll let him help you into
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: the oven and not even notice.
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: Hold on, now, oh my god, look at Keith Morrison there.
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: I personally love Keith roasting souls in people in a
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: soothing voice. Because, guys, I've said this before, I truly
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: sleep with Keith every night in my ear. Every night
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: in my ear it is Keith Morrison, Keith I I mean, well,
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: his voice is soothing.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: It's true. Now, the final thing she said in a
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: letter was quote I could wear a man out quote
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: any man would have done it for me after I
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: got through with him. Well, nothing that she said happened.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: No amount of defense was going to help her, honestly,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: and from my perspective, it was the letters and some
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: of the other evidence that disproved a lot of what
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: she alleged. Now, especially these things. Christy was sentenced to
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: life in prison with the possibility of parole in twenty
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: sixty after serving a minimum of forty five years. Now,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: I know you're all asking what happened to mister Puttang Boomerang.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: I mean Khalil. He pleaded guilty, and his defense attorney
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: was asking for a twenty five year sentence, stating that
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: he had been manipulated in killing David Evans and he
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: never would have killed him if it wasn't for Christie. Honestly,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: that might be true, but it's kind of like saying
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: I wouldn't have driven the getaway car if she didn't
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: tell me she liked fast rides and bad decisions or
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: the legal equipment. Mhm.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: He had spent time in prison for stabbing somebody. What
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: is the step you stabbed somebody killed them? Right?
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: Or am I missing this too? For sure?
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm kind of glad. I don't understand,
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: like how any of these folks put their stuff together
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: at all. I think he was simply the murderous Disney sidekick.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: I didn't mean to kill him. I was just following
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: the lady with the jazz hands in perfect spark plus
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Uh what well?
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: Oh uh? I am the only sparkle and he was
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: not following me.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: I was figurative. That was figurative and not literally, okay.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Khalil was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: of parole. When he is going to be in his sixties,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: so roughly at least thirty three years. You know, I
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: with I didn't write this down, but you know, in
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: terms of in my notes, but I feel like co
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Leo has a greater chance of being let out after
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: the minimum sentence. To be honest with you, it just
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: kind of depends on what they considered mitigating factors.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: But it depends on how he behaves in prison. I mean,
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: if he shanks somebody while he's in there, he's not
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: getting out early.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Correct. Now, here's the thing, you know, at the time
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: of a sentencing, he said that he was truly deeply
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: sorry for his crime, which is much like Savage Garden.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: He must have heard the song truly madly deeply before
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: he did this. But then he said he accepts responsibility
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: and that it haunts him each and every day. I mean,
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: maybe that's true, but that's also a really really good
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: way to play the long game, or like parole in
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: thirty thirty three years, just say you've learned your lesson
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: right right away. I'll be your dream, I'll be you,
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: we shall.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: Be see, I'll be yet, don't even that. Yeah, let's seeah.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Mm hmmm.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: Now, Okay, now after Savage Garden, it breaks up my concentration.
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: But something I found interesting because you know, he said
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: that to the judge, and I appreciate that because so
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: many people that we cover that kill people, they show
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: no remorse. So I do appreciate the remorse. But something
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: that's funnier than shit was that the prosecutor said that
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: Christy had screwed Khalil stupid. And I don't know why
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: I felt that, buddy, but I isily thought. I don't
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: think I've ever screwed anyone stupid, And maybe I need
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: to up my game. I mean, maybe I need to
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: up my game because I mean, she screwed him.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Stupid me thinks this prosecutor.
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: Prosecutor has said this publicly on camera.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I think the prosecutor was reading her letters.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: And Terry, give yourself a little more credit than that.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: You've at least screwed somebody silly. Maybe not stupid, but silly.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: And honestly, I can't tell which one's better. Do we
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: have a gauge? Is there like a gauge for this?
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: Is it like one or the other? I don't know
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: how there it is? Stupid boom done producer Tara delivering.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: I'll say breathless.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Woo. I'll say breathless, hopefully not beatless, because that's yeah,
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: that's a whole other Okay, you know what, Let's just
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: talk about the church and the public reaction, shall we,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: because what better to transition into church reactions. So as
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: you can imagine, there were reactions all throughout the community,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: and they range from anger, to sadness, to shock and surprise.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: And then as time went by, these folks all moved
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: through more. And then the trial unfolded even more and
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: harmony free will Baptist Church quote grieved in fresh shock
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: as investigators alleged their late pastor was a swinger and
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: his widow confessed to plotting his murder with a man
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: she spent three nights with while he was in Mexico
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: on a mission trip. They said, quote, the circumstances are
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: that are now coming to light have taken us by surprise,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: and we are greatly saddened. We serve a perfect savior,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: Jesus Christ, who gave his life for us. These revelations
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: do not diminish the truth, and we will continue to
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: serve him. We are aware that even pastors can succumb
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: to human frailty, and we ask that our privacy be
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: respected at this time as we are a church family,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: as we as a church family grieve and process all
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: of these events. In a statement really after evans killing,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: church officials called the circum the quote circumstances that are
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: now coming to light surprising and said they were greatly saddened.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: I would imagine that this is a really, really weird
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: thing to go through because all of a sudden you've
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: got people who are like, well, if God planned everything right.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: So David evans mother, Jean Richardson, said Wednesday that she
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: believed the judge handed down the correct sentence. Quote. I
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: don't know if there's justice, but I don't believe in
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: the death penalty, said Richardson, who was eighty at the time. Quote,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: it's not an eye for an eye, but it is punishment. Also,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: how terrible is it to have to see your son
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: at the age of eighty, Well, she's at the age
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: of eighty, be murdered or die before you Like that's
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: you should never have to do that, like never. So
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: Christy Evans's daughter, Brittany Long, who is publicly supported her mother,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: said that she wasn't done fighting for her mother and
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: hoped that she could get mental health treatment in prison.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: The church members and community, they were shocked when Christy
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: was arrested. They were more shocked to learn that the
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: pastor and his wife, well they were swinging, just.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: A swinging, just a swing. And well, I am going
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: to just go on record right now and say I'm
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: glad that my bestie just joined in the chat, and
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: I am going to pray to God she hasn't been
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: listening this whole time.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: Yeah, just replace.
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: She's gonna be like, oh, I need to tell them
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: some stories.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: Hey, bestie, you are welcome on when you are you.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: And I will see you this weekend.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: Nowing toue.
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: I will say, it's got to be shocking to learn
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: that your pastor is a swinger with his wife. But
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: I still need to go on record and say, if
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: they are both consenting adults and no one is getting hurt,
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: I don't think it's any of our damn business what
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: they do in the bedroom. Just gonna say that. And yes,
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: he I mean, he still works for somebody. He still
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: has to preach what he's sold to preach. But I
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: don't think we should shame anyone for their kinks if
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: it's not hurting anyone, So I need to say that.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: I'm sure it's shocking. I will tell you this and
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: if anyone wants to email me when I say this
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: Terry Atcwtmedia dot com. At least he wasn't abusing children, okay,
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: and they were adults. Now, before I say what I'm
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: gonna say, you know, see my bestie Cheryl, she will
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: not tell any of my stories because she will take
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: them to her grave.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: She probably also knows that you have stories about her.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: I'm assuming there's blackmail involved.
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: Oh absolutely, now, But with that being said about their
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: consenting adults, I will say, in recent years, we are
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: seeing the public you know, the conversations around abuse and
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: manipulation are getting more and more out there. And guys,
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: the people who are bringing those conversations out they are
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: brave and it is necessary, okay, and I'm glad survivors
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: are stepping forward. Okay. It's making us confront uncomfortable truths, okay,
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: especially when those abuses are cloaked in the veil of
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: religion or power. Okay. Now, religious hypocrisy, for those who
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: do not know, is where individuals or institutions preach morality
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: while practicing exploitation and guys, that cuts deep. Okay, it's
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: the pastor who delivers the sermons on family values while
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: abusing their power behind closed door. Okay, but I want
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: to say, being a swinger and if your wife is consenting,
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: is not abusing your power. I need to make that
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: very clear, because I'm sorry, I read so many things
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: online where people were shaming him for that. They weren't
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: shaming if it wasn't agreed on, because if it wasn't
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: agreed and she was really forced into it or manipulated,
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: that's a totally different thing. Okay. Now, it the community
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: that demands forgiveness from victims while shielding the abuser. So
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: the religious churches organizations that are protecting these people who've
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: harmed children, molested, pee lead people, or done thing against
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: their will is different than a married couple who had
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: been married for many, many years deciding to spice up
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: their life. Okay. But the good thing is we are
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: seeing a shift. Social media, documentaries, podcasts and survivors that
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: are getting out there and being brave and leading movements
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: are breaking the silence, and we need that to continue. Okay,
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: and I just want to make sure people don't get
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: those confused. Now, guys, secrets that were once whispered behind
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: closed doors and they are now public. And it's not
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: just about calling out the hypocrisies. It's about protecting the
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: vulnerable and holding those individuals accountable. Okay, And for those
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: that believe, it's reclaiming the true spirit of faith, community
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: and healing. Okay. Now, talking about abuse, manipulation, and religious
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: hypocrisies isn't easy, but guys, it is vital. It is important.
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: The Catholic Church, my own religion, held it silent for
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: years and they destroyed so many Okay, but change only
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: happens when the truth is no longer hidden.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: So yeah, while you all know that I'm not usually
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: short for words to that, I say here here you know,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: also being raised Catholic as well, you know, that's that
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: that's situation, you know, you know, it's really interesting. I
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: want to say this before I hit my closing thoughts.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: What's really interesting to me is that I don't think it.
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: I don't I think that, you know, in in that
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out how to say this, I
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: think in Catholicism, what happened there and still happens is horrible,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: and I think it's it's it's reprehensible. It it is terrible,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: and it should be condemned in all ways, shapes and forms.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: I think that it wasn't necessarily that that caused people
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: to be like, we can't do this anymore. I think
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: it was the fact that it was hidden. I think
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: it's the fact that they were moved around despite knowing
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: what happened. I think that it was the sheer again,
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: as you mentioned religious hypocrisy of it all. I think
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: if they would have came out and said, this is
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: going on, we were doing everything in our power to stop it.
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: We have, I've condemned this, blah blah, you would have
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: a much stronger church right now. But guess what, you don't,
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: and you certainly don't have my generation and the generations
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: after me, because that hypocrisy will not stand and we
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: will call you out on it.
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: So anyways, agree one thousand percent, and I will tell
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: you it is one of the reasons both of my
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: boys were baptized Catholic. But then all that stuff started
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: coming out, all the lies and the hiding, and that
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: they took them from one church to another knowing they
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: did it. I did not have my boys go to CCD.
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: I didn't have them do their first communion, their confirmation
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: because I was scared. I was like, they hit it.
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: It's not that it happened. It happens, but you acknowledge it.
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: It's the fact they hit it and let it keep
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: going that made me scared for my own children.
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: Yep, yep, yep. Yeah. So you know, I don't regret
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: how I grew up. I don't regret going through all
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: the sacraments. I was very lucky. I didn't have any
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: of that stuff happened to me, and I didn't have
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: any friends that I knew of who had said anything. Anyways,
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: I don't want to assume that happened to them. I
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: had very good I had great priests who were wonderful,
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: and I kept But I think Kelly p kind of
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: sums it up. I think, I mean, you know, no
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: matter how you feel about the Christian Church, that situation
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: gives it a bad name for those who are seeking God,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: a God, the God whoever right, either lower case or capital.
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: So I think you hit it on the nail on
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: the head. And so let's move into closing thoughts, unless
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: unless you had something else I do.
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: So the one thing I think, whether it happens in
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: a church, a school, a corporation, a community center, it
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: is the secrets the wise. Okay, you can't do that.
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: The shit happens. We know what happens. There's bad people
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: out there, handle it, own it, find out how it happened,
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: and try to put things in place to stop it
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: from happening again.
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: Yep. So what have I learned tonight? Well, at the
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: end of the day, this case wasn't just shocking because
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: of the murder. It was shocking because every time you
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: thought it had peaked in chaos, it just continues to escalate.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: And honestly, this case is frustrating to me. Like I
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: said in the beginning, it's messy, it's layered. At times,
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: it feels like everyone involved just needed more honesty, boundaries
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: and a lot more therapy. And and that's that sounds
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: like a joke, but it's not. The relationship between Christy
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: and David was far from simple. It was shaped by secrecy,
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: religious expectation, and a sex life that people don't often
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: talk about, especially in the religious communities. It's easy, It
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: is easy to look at this case and want to
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: roll your eyes at the chaos and believe me I have.
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: But the deeper you go, the more you realize that
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: this was about people trying and failing to escape their
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: pain in the worst possible ways. It is hard. It
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: is hard to talk about sex, religion, abuse, and power
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: without stepping on toes. We know I'm good at it,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: or stirring up judgment, but it's important because hiding those
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: conversations is exactly what led situations like this fester. I
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know if there's justice in a
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: case like this, but I do know that there are lessons.
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: There are lessons about listening to people, about not ignoring
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: red flags even when they're dressed up in church clothes,
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: and about how important it is to make space for
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: the hard, uncomfortable truths, not because they are easy, but
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: because they matter.
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: Agree nothing I was my grandmother's telling me anything worth
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: having or doing is hard. So now this case makes
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: me sad. We didn't get into the kids much, but
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: I'm sorry. My heart hurts for the three children of
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: David and Christy. Like I said earlier, I watched in
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: an interview with one of their sons, and he said
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: that he felt his mom got what she deserved for
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: murdering someone, but that he admitted he so loved her
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: because she was his mom, the same way he still
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: loves his dad, even though his dad abused him and
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: wasn't always a good dad. Guys, this made me stop
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: and think about the kids. No matter how old they are,
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: when this crap happens, it affects them and their children
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: and so on and so on and so on. I
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: don't think we stress that enough. And the secrets is
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: what makes it affect generations after generations, you know it does. Now.
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: I believe that Klill was manipulated by Christie, Okay, but
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: like I said earlier, I am not willing to say
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: that he would never kill. You know, he did spend
- 1:32:47Speaker 2: time in prison, Okay now, David, Yeah, I am sad
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: that he was murdered, but I truly hope he had
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: to answer for his when he met his maker. You know,
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: if you kind of believe in that kind of stuff,
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: and he appeared to be a believer. And like I
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: said earlier, I'm not talking about him being a swinger.
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: If that's his thing, he's on board. I'm talking about
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: the abuse emotional, physical, financial that he did to his family.
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about, him answering to his maker. Okay. Now,
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: I am not a fan of do as I say
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: and not as I do. Okay, I'm not now to me,
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: that is the sign of a pure, cold hearted liar
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: in my opinion. But on the other hand, he was
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: doing his job, and he apparently loved God, loved all
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: of that, and he did not see consensual activities in
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: a marriage as a sin. That's his thing. But I
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: am glad that Christy and Khalil were given lengthy sentences
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: and guys, I hope they use their time wisely and
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: learn from their poor decisions. Because Khalil didn't learn from
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: his prison experience the first time. He didn't learn, so
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: I think he needed to go back to school. But
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: I also want to say, if you are a victim
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: of domestic violence, there are resources for you. Okay, do
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: not let it get to the point that you them
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: your children are deceased. Okay, get help. And I know
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: it takes time, it takes multiple times, but just know
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: you can get out of it and you can have
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: a better life. God that is heavy. Let's talk about tomorrow.
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, please, Tomorrow is going to be our members. Well,
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: first off, thank you so much for joining us tonight.
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: It was a heavy case, but thanks for sticking around.
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: Tomorrow is our members only live at eight at nine
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: pm Eastern. Then Sunday at nine pm, we will be
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: continuing on with our special investigation of the Zizzians. This week,
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: we're gonna be going in depth about Mary and see
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: Far as well as the Meeker four protest. It's going
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: to be a doozy, so please stretch out your brains
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: before you tune in, because you're going to need a
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: little bit of brain for play to get all ready
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: to go. Yeah, just let it happen. Just let it happen.
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: When I said, you're gonna need it because we're gonna
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: be talking about some of the key facets of Miri
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: and Sea Far and then yeah, so it's it is
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: something else. I hope, I hope that we were able
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: to bring it to a point in which it makes sense.
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: And I'm not saying specifically dumb it down, because it
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: is what it is, and you all are brilliant people.
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: We don't have to. I just hope that we were
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: able to explain it in a way that makes as
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: much sense as it possibly could.
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: So okay, I'm okay. Was staying dumb it down for me, okay,
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: because it's complicated. Is complicated, and producer Terror captain, I mean,
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: they captain. They've done a great job. So question if
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: my mind needs to be open. I'm sitting here thinking
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: I wish they lived in California. Then I could do
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: mushrooms or something and really let my mind go.
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: You know, that would be a whole other show. But also,
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: if you were in California and on shrooms, you probably
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: would join the Zizians. And I don't. I don't think
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: there's enough pink involved. I mean they were Sith. It's
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: very dark.
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't do that.
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: That's right. If y'all haven't watched Sith is involved, Star
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: Wars is involved, It's just a whole bunch of stuff.
- 1:36:53Speaker 2: There's no pink, you know, need. Yeah, And just to
- 1:36:58Speaker 2: remind you, guys, Midday Missing takes place every Monday and
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: Wednesday at one pm Eastern twelfth Central. Guys. It is
- 1:37:09Speaker 2: a passion project of mine and Amy's to bring the
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: story of the missing who don't get the attention out
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: there because you're not blonde haired, blue eyes in this
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: perfect victim. You don't get the coverage that you deserve.
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: So if you can join us, great, If not, watch
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: it on replay, please and share our posters. So, guys,
- 1:37:38Speaker 2: next Thursday, we will be going through, going through, we
- 1:37:44Speaker 2: will be presenting the Day the Music died, the Marvin
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: Gay case. Guys, I have learned so much, so shocked.
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: There is so many things that happen in this case.
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: Now you can watch it live on our YouTube channel
- 1:38:04Speaker 2: or Facebook at nine pm Eastern eight pm Central, and
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: if you're listening on the podcast, it will be released
- 1:38:13Speaker 2: the following Monday. But it's truly it's a good story
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: that I didn't know until I suggested it.
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't wait for my wine choice because I've
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: already got.
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: It, And I can't wait for you to sting for us.
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: Sure we'll find I'll start warming up now, I'm gonna
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: need I'm glad I stopped vaping.
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: How is that going?
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: By the way, ninety days nicotine free?
- 1:38:45Speaker 2: Holy shit, JT. That is awesome. Yeah, remind me when
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: I see you in May to give you a big
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: hug and kiss because that's an accomplishment.
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: Thank you. Yeah, no, I'm I'm proud of myself for
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: it was a lot harder than I had ever meant
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: for it to be. Uh, you know, you're probably not wrong.
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: Just listen, y'all. If you are interested in a very
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: specific case or anything that topic or whatever, send it
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: to us. You can send it to producer Tara Tara
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: at TCWT media dot com and she will go, hey,
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: you two, you're doing that, go fourth and and build
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: that pyramid. Also, just as a reminder, and I know

- 1:39:45Speaker 1: the notification bell, becoming a become a member if you can,
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: if you're able to. I know eggs are expensive, you know,

- 1:39:53Speaker 1: that eight dollars, you know. Uh, the archie for the next.
- 1:40:01Speaker 2: We give you more than you get from eggs.
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: But doing that also giving us five stars, giving us
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: a a god bless giving us five stars on Apple
- 1:40:22Speaker 1: or Spotify or wherever you listen to your podcast, it's
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: very helpful. It gets more listeners ears on the show.
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: That gets more listeners eye or the listener's eyes, viewers'
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: eyes on the show. It is so important and I
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: will tell you why it's important not just because True
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: Crime Wine Time is fun and Zizian's is fun, but
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: because the more eyes that are on the show, the
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: more we'll subscribe, the more will tune into Midday Missing,
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: the more answers can be found. Okay, So if anything,
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: do it for the missing. And that's not a guilt trip.
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: That is true, that is the honest to God truth.
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, just enjoy. We're cheaper than eggs.
- 1:41:00Speaker 2: I want to say that I get Midday Missing. It's hard,
- 1:41:05Speaker 2: and I get it. It is not for everybody because

- 1:41:49Speaker 2: we can do, and the more our channel members get
- 1:41:53Speaker 2: to see us do crazy stuff. We've got plans for
- 1:41:57Speaker 2: JT to dress up and drag. I mean, we have
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: lots of stuff, so we need to get that happening. Yep,
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: you need to get that happen.
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Now here's what I want everybody to think of.
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: And sorry, and maybe folks don't think about this, but
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: I want you to think of it like a vertical
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: and upside down Christmas tree. Okay. One person, so our
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: page shares that a show is coming up a live stream,
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: and then one person then shares that to all of
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: their followers, and then their folks share that. It is exponential.
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: It is exponentially helpful on any social media truly, So
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: if you see something that we post, please please please share.
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: Angie is great at it, lady, and Gray's great at it.
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: I'm sure a whole bunch of you are great at it.
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: But please, please please. It's a huge thing to get
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: things out there.
- 1:42:55Speaker 2: So and it is cheaper than Jay because it's free
- 1:43:02Speaker 2: to share it.
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: And yeah, yeah, I'm starting to think that I need
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: to pay people, so you know.
- 1:43:14Speaker 2: No, it's cheaper. Well, I want to thank everyone for
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: joining us today. I know it was I still have
- 1:43:22Speaker 2: so many questions. I would love if people would email
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: me or send me dms. I want to know your
- 1:43:29Speaker 2: thoughts because I am still on the fence about so
- 1:43:34Speaker 2: many things. I still feel like I've been gas lit.
- 1:43:39Speaker 2: I really, I know Christy suffered some abuse. I don't
- 1:43:45Speaker 2: think David was a great guy, but I'm not buying
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: into all of it. So I would love personally to
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: know your thoughts, so please send them to me. But
