- 0:12Five minutes after the hour. It is Friday on the Morning Show with Preston
- 0:17Scott June twenty third, Show number forty nine fifty five. Great to be
- 0:20with you this morning. I'm Preston Jared running the program. Grant Allen and
- 0:25his wife had a baby girl yesterday and so I got to hold their precious
- 0:30little one and couldn't be happier for him. So Grant's gonna be gone for
- 0:35a couple of weeks. Jared will be here with us, and it's a
- 0:38delight to be with you this morning. Thanks so much for sharing time,
- 0:42and I'm pleased to have with us The Gun Writer. You just go to
- 0:44the website The gun Writer dot substack dot com. You'll find the work of
- 0:49Lee Williams. Good morning, Lee, How are you, good man?
- 0:52How are you? I'm doing well. I took some time here. I'm
- 0:56scanning the latest article you've got up, the special report on the weaponization of
- 1:02the IRS. Let me just ask you before we get into that a little
- 1:06bit and then talk a little bit more about the resident of the United States.
- 1:11What are your thoughts on the IRS really having a need to have an
- 1:15armed attachment to their to what they do why not use like the US Marshal's,
- 1:21local sheriff's office, the FBI if needed. But why do they need
- 1:25their own military force? Yeah, that's kind of the point of the story.
- 1:30They don't. And not only is a paramilitary force, it is an
- 1:34incredibly well armed paramilitary force. I've been getting reaction this morning from readers already,
- 1:42and every single one of them says they are terrified by this, not
- 1:45only by the fact that the IRS is getting real, honest to pete assault
- 1:51rifles, select fire h K four sixteens, the fact they're getting sniper rifles,
- 1:57night vision rifles, scopes, and some of the other gear that you
- 2:00don't see outside of a well equipped police swap team or military special forces.
- 2:06It's terrifying. It should it should scare every single American because Joe's doing to
- 2:10the IRS exactly what he did to ATF What is your What prompted this story
- 2:16to come out? Now? Was it the the bill introduced by Iowa Senator
- 2:22Joni Ernst. Absolutely. She introduced a bill that you know, it's got
- 2:27the best title of any bill I've ever seen. It's called Why Does the
- 2:31IRS Have Guns? Act? And yeah, it would prohibit them from owning,
- 2:38storing, transferring guns and ammunition. Every gun they got would go to
- 2:42the GSA and be auctioned to licensed gun dealers and their criminal investigators would go
- 2:47over to justice. Unfortunately, it doesn't really have much of a chance for
- 2:52Bill. I doubt it could get through the Senate, and you know,
- 2:55Joe would definitely veto it, so kudos to her bringing attention to this.
- 3:00I started looking into some of the armament that the IRS has and it you
- 3:06know, being a gun aficionado and knowing a thing or two about firearms,
- 3:10it's scared the hell out of me. Preston what stands out? Give O,
- 3:15give just our listeners a snapshot, and then we're going to drive into
- 3:19the article night vision rifle scopes. I point out the story that when an
- 3:25officer, when a police officer in this country, uses force, they're governed
- 3:29by you know, what's morally right. Force needs to be reasonable. There
- 3:32are laws on the books, there are department policies. You know, you
- 3:38have everything that governs the use of force is predicated upon the saint to view
- 3:40human life. So why the heck would you want something that's capable of shooting
- 3:47a man size silhouette a man sis target at night, hundreds of yards away.
- 3:53It just doesn't make any sense. What are they getting into assassinations?
- 3:57What tactical problem are these nights and Riflescope intended to solve. That was one
- 4:01of the most egregious pieces of kit that the IRS now has us weather,
- 4:06traffic and the big stories in the press box, the fastest three hours in
- 4:13media. And don't be surprised if you have a chuckle here and there,
- 4:18just like that. Thanks for listening. It's the Morning Show with Preston Scott.
- 4:30Eleven minutes after the hour, Lee Williams joins us once a month.
- 4:33He's kind enough to make time for us here on the radio program again the
- 4:39gunwriter dot substack dot com. Lee, we talked briefly this morning in the
- 4:45wake of the whistleblower testimony. And we've got one whistleblower now that has come
- 4:48out. That is a special agent in the Criminal Division who was the supervisor
- 4:54of the Hunter Biden case. And he basically was stonewalled and slowed down and
- 5:00detoured and he got fed up and has now come out. But let's talk
- 5:03about the gun side of this Hunter Biden case. What did he admit to
- 5:11doing and how is his punishment different than say others. Well, he admitted
- 5:16to possessing a gun illegally. Basically, he copped to lying on a forty
- 5:20four seventy three. I have a lot of friends who have been federal prosecutors,
- 5:26their assistant US attorneys. I know a couple of US attorneys, and
- 5:30I know a couple of guys who were federal public defenders. I asked every
- 5:33one of them the same question, would you grant would you offer diversion to
- 5:39a crackhead for a gun charge? And every single one of them said no.
- 5:43The two public defenders said they wouldn't even ask for diversion because they would
- 5:48get laughed out of the prosecutor's office. And there's been a couple of misconceptions
- 5:53about that. People say, well, you know, if he's good for
- 5:55two years, the charge is dismissed. Now it is expunged. It's as
- 6:00though it never happened. He will not be a convicted tone hunter, will
- 6:02be free to go out by all the guns he wants and along with all
- 6:05the cocaine. As to whether or not it was fair, I look at
- 6:10Miracle Star Lawn. She was a twenty seven year old woman from Liberty,
- 6:15Iowa. She was sentenced last month to serve three hundred and sixty six days
- 6:19in a federal prison for lying on her forty four seventy three, which is
- 6:24a form you fill out when you buy a gun about her own personal drug
- 6:28use. I mean, I can't see a clearer example, unfortunately, from
- 6:32miss Vaughn. Her last name was in Biding. So she's going to go
- 6:35do a year and a day behind the wire. Meanwhile, Hunter gets diverted
- 6:40on this nobody. No prosecutor. Show me a federal prosecutor an a USA
- 6:46that would grant a version to a crackhead on a gun charge. I doubt
- 6:49there's one in the entire country, well, other than Delaware US Attorney David
- 6:54Weiss. Right. Yeah, Now there's some misconceptions about him too. Everybody
- 7:00is on the liberal media saying, oh, well he was appointed by Trump.
- 7:03No. Now, when presidents take over, they don't personally meet and
- 7:08greet all potential US attorney candidates. They do what the senators from that state
- 7:13recommend, and that was Carper and Chris Coons recommended this guy. So he
- 7:18was appointed by two Democratic senators and just kind of checked off the box.
- 7:24By former President Trump. But Merrick Garland, the head of the Department of
- 7:29Justice, the attorney general, he is doing what he does. He's saying,
- 7:32well, you know, the US attorney in Delaware has all authority to
- 7:36do whatever he feels is in the best interests of justice. And it's and
- 7:42it's real similar to what Garland was saying about the entire you know, protests
- 7:46in front of Supreme Court justices. You know, well, you know the
- 7:49US marshals. Yeah, but if you're not going to prosecute, they're not
- 7:51going to bother. Yeah, exactly. I mean, Garland has become a
- 7:57joke. I just thank God didn't make it haunted the Supreme Court, right,
- 8:03I mean that would have that would have that would all that would have
- 8:05been so horrific. But you know he's every time he's talking, it's like
- 8:09he's lying. This guy is the most partisan attorney general the country has ever
- 8:13had, I would say, more than any previous one. And he is.
- 8:18I mean, look at the look at the facts facing Joe right now
- 8:20on the bribery. Every day there's new revelations that he and his boy took
- 8:26money. You know, when you learn new countries. Romania was the latest
- 8:31one I heard. How come he has an appointed as a special prosecutor for
- 8:33that, Not that we would have any faith in in one of his special
- 8:37prosecutor picks, but that that whole allegation screams for a special prosecutor, but
- 8:43Garland won't do it. Twenty minutes after the Hour or the Morning Show with
- 8:54Preston Scott Lee Williams with us the Gunwriter dot Substack dot com. Lee quick
- 9:00snapshot for those that may have missed our first visit many months, if not
- 9:05a year or so ago on the program to how this sub Stack came about.
- 9:11How you ended up in the real independent world as opposed to the mainstream
- 9:18media where you were writing. Sure, I was an editor, having been
- 9:22an investigative reporter for twenty years as an editor at a Florida paper that was
- 9:26purchased by Ghannette. Ghanette owns more papers than anyone in the country. I
- 9:31had a thriving social media site and it was all pro gun. And once
- 9:37the people in charge of Gannette found out that they had an editor in Florida
- 9:41who wrote pros gun stories, they got rid of me. They got rid
- 9:43of my boss, sub Stack. I heard about Substack, they came around
- 9:48and it's been just incredible, an incredible ride. Since then, I've got
- 9:54hundreds of stories on the site substack. Their whole purpose is to make life
- 9:58easier for their writers. There's no oversight, there's no i want to say,
- 10:03there's no editing, there's nobody tells me what to write and what not
- 10:07to write, and it's just an incredible platform. A lot of journalists who
- 10:13are sick and tired of the mainstream media have migrated to substack, and it's
- 10:18it's an incredible experience. It's been nothing but positive. Would it be fair
- 10:22to say that in some you know, because substack is as you say,
- 10:24it's kind of it's a little bit of everything that if you're looking for investigative
- 10:31journalism as well, if you're looking for you know, good old school fact
- 10:35based, fact driven stories, you're going to find it on a substack somewhere.
- 10:39Yes, definitely, because you know, pixels are free newspapers today,
- 10:43in magazines today, it's all about length. They don't have a lot of
- 10:48space. They've cut down the size of the newspaper, the size of the
- 10:50web. They've cut down the amount they can put in it. So you
- 10:54know, you're not going to get the freedom to write a story as long
- 10:58as it needs to be written. Substack pixels are free, and it's just
- 11:03a hell of a platform. I thoroughly enjoy it and they've made my life,
- 11:07so they make my life so much easier as a writer. Lee Williams
- 11:13is it's the gunwriter dot substack dot com where you're gonna find the work of
- 11:16Lee Williams. Our guest, Lee. We were talking in the break about
- 11:20the Resident of the United States, Joe Biden, and the likelihood that at
- 11:26some point all of his misdeeds when he was vice president are gonna be the
- 11:30news that hangs him, and that the mainstream media is going to eventually get
- 11:33word from the Democrat Party to jettison him, and all of it's going to
- 11:37come out. I have found CNN's sudden switch to fact checking Joe on his
- 11:43statements about firearms fascinating. Have you noticed how they are beginning to fact check
- 11:48him and point out that he's making inaccurate and wrong statements about firearms. It
- 11:54hit me like a bullet pardon the pun. The first time I thought Joe's
- 12:03Scott, Joe Scott five or six lies that he always repeats about guns.
- 12:07You know you have a thirty round nag, you're terrible, hundred deer,
- 12:09don't wear kevlar best, you can't own cannons, And I could go on
- 12:13and on. CNN is actually and he repeats those at nauseum, you know,
- 12:18just like his personal stories about corn Pop and his encounters at the swimming
- 12:22pools in Wilmington. When he at N started fact checking them, it hit
- 12:28me too, like it hit you. I think the end is here.
- 12:31They need permission from the DNC before they take him out. And I think
- 12:35I think they must have been having these conversations with the DNC because they marched
- 12:41to their two and they marched to their drum. So I think we're going
- 12:43to see all of this stuff coming up. Joe's gonna be Joe's gonna get
- 12:48booted, and they're gonna have to find somebody to run in twenty twenty four.
- 12:52Other than him. I mean, looking at him, he's got a
- 12:54headful of mush bro I've known him for twenty years since I was a reporter
- 12:58in Delaware. He is massive and he used to be far from it.
- 13:03I hold his wife, Jill accountable, because she is enabling what I consider
- 13:07to be elder abuse. Tell me this. You've written about the ATF and
- 13:11of course the gun brace thing. Joe Biden has said the most absurd and
- 13:16ridiculous things about braises, and some of the members of Congress have tried to
- 13:20do the same thing and make a case for him. It's just not there.
- 13:24But broadly, big picture wise, what's the end result here? Does
- 13:28a case have to get to the Supreme Court before we get the ATF put
- 13:33back in its place? Yes. The big thing to keep in mind regarding
- 13:35the pistol is ATF had no problem with those for nearly a decade. They
- 13:41issued finding letters saying, if you have a pistol bras in spine, you
- 13:43don't have to register it. We don't consider a short barrel rifle, which
- 13:48like machine guns or silencers, would have to be registered under the National Firearms
- 13:52Act. Joe Biden gets installed in the White House, he weaponizes the ATF.
- 13:56All of a sudden, ATF has heartburn with the pistol brace. And
- 14:01now there's litigation all over the country about ats rule because look at it preston
- 14:07their rule, and which is not a law, it's a rule they came
- 14:11up with to they themselves are enforcing could turn forty million Americans into felons overnight.
- 14:16I've said this before. There's a word to describe laws like that.
- 14:20It's called tyranny. This cannot stand. I know. I work for the
- 14:24Second Amendment Foundation. We've got all of our members covered by an injunction.
- 14:28Gun Owners of America does NRA is a little late to the party. They
- 14:31soon will have coverage in the courts for all of their members. So if
- 14:35you're worried about what to do with your brace and your safe, I would
- 14:39join a pro gun organization because our members are covered by a judicial injunction against
- 14:45enforcement by the ATF. If you own a brace, good stuff is always
- 14:50league. Can't wait to talk to you again next month. Thanks for the
- 14:52time, my pleasure of Preston. Do you take care you as well?
- 14:56Lee Williams with us this morning and again the website. It's really easy subscribe.
- 15:00It doesn't cost you a thing. You can support the work if you
- 15:03like to. But man, it's so easy. The gun Writer The gun
