Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Nobody, and I do mean nobody, does it. Like your
- 0:03Speaker 1: early morning praise party. I am Sherri Mackie, and it's
- 0:06Speaker 1: time right now for Today's Word. God can do more
- 0:12Speaker 1: than you can imagine. Proverbs 3 and 5 says, trust
- 0:17Speaker 1: God from the bottom of your heart. Don't try to
- 0:19Speaker 1: figure out everything on your own. Have you ever looked
- 0:23Speaker 1: at your life, calculated the numbers, mapped out the timeline
- 0:27Speaker 1: and wondered, Lord, how is this ever going to happen?
- 0:30Speaker 1: You looked at your finances and you think, if I
- 0:32Speaker 1: save this much, get that promotion and nothing unexpected happens,
- 0:37Speaker 1: maybe I'll be in a better place 10 years from now.
- 0:41Speaker 1: And listen, there's nothing wrong with planning, budgeting, working hard,
- 0:45Speaker 1: and being a good steward over what God has placed
- 0:48Speaker 1: in your hands. As a matter of fact, I recommend it.
- 0:51Speaker 1: But here's what I want you to remember. You can
- 0:53Speaker 1: make a plan. But you cannot put a limit on God. See,
- 0:58Speaker 1: our God is supernatural. His goodness cannot be calculated. His
- 1:02Speaker 1: favor cannot be measured. And his ability to open doors
- 1:05Speaker 1: cannot be confined to your timeline. You may see a
- 1:09Speaker 1: long road ahead, but God sees the destination. You may
- 1:12Speaker 1: see obstacles, but God sees possibilities. You may be trying
- 1:16Speaker 1: to figure out how everything is going to come together
- 1:19Speaker 1: while God is already working behind the scenes in ways
- 1:22Speaker 1: that you can't see. See, sometimes one opportunity can change
- 1:26Speaker 1: your situation. One connection can open a door you can
- 1:30Speaker 1: open on your own. One answered prayer can shift your
- 1:33Speaker 1: perspective and put you on a path you never imagined.
- 1:37Speaker 1: What you thought would take years may begin to unfold
- 1:41Speaker 1: in ways that surprise you. Now, that doesn't mean everything
- 1:45Speaker 1: is going to happen overnight or exactly when you want
- 1:48Speaker 1: it to happen. It means that you don't have to
- 1:51Speaker 1: let today's circumstances convince you that tomorrow can't be different.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Proverbs 3 and 5 reminds us to trust God with
- 2:00Speaker 1: all of our heart and not lean entirely on our
- 2:02Speaker 1: own understanding. In other words, stop making your limited perspective
- 2:06Speaker 1: the final word on what God can do in your life.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Be grateful for where you are. Stay faithful for what
- 2:13Speaker 1: you have. Keep working, keep praying, and keep preparing, but
- 2:16Speaker 1: don't become so focused on your current situation that you
- 2:20Speaker 1: lose sight of God's unlimited ability. You may not know
- 2:24Speaker 1: how God is going to do it, when he's going
- 2:27Speaker 1: to do it, or what path he's going to use,
- 2:30Speaker 1: but you can trust the one who holds your future. See,
- 2:32Speaker 1: your responsibility is to remain faithful. God's responsibility is to
- 2:37Speaker 1: direct your steps. He's going to order your steps. So
- 2:40Speaker 1: lift your head, strengthen your faith, and make room for
- 2:43Speaker 1: possibilities that you can't see yet. Your calculations may have limits,
- 2:47Speaker 1: but God does not. Father, thank you for reminding us
- 2:51Speaker 1: that we don't have to figure everything out on our own.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Help us to trust you even when we can't see
- 2:56Speaker 1: the full picture. Give us wisdom to plan, discipline to prepare,
- 3:00Speaker 1: and faith to believe. that you can do more than
- 3:03Speaker 1: we can imagine. Oh, God, keep us from limiting your
- 3:06Speaker 1: possibilities based on our present circumstances. Order our steps, strengthen
- 3:10Speaker 1: our heart, and help us to remain faithful while we wait. God,
- 3:14Speaker 1: our future is in your hands, and we trust you
- 3:16Speaker 1: from the bottom of our hearts. In Jesus' name. Hey,
- 3:19Speaker 1: now that's your word for today. Take it, apply it
- 3:22Speaker 1: to your everyday life, and you continue to be encouraged
- 3:25Speaker 1: and inspired. It's your early morning praise party. I am
- 3:29Speaker 1: Sherri Mackey.
