- 0:00Speaker 1: Now more marks alone on sevent tenor.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Now beautiful day to day, it's going to be like
- 0:09Speaker 2: mere eighty sunny. It'll be cool tomorrow, but sunny and
- 0:13Speaker 2: the beautiful, gorgeous stay on on Sunday. You got I
- 0:17Speaker 2: think it's twenty one, twenty two days until summer officially begins.
- 0:22Speaker 2: It's actually still spring, believe it or not. So as
- 0:26Speaker 2: you heard on the news, big fire on the Hudson
- 0:29Speaker 2: River Tunnel. Penn Station closed down. It's a mess. Now
- 0:34Speaker 2: they'll get that straightened out. But here's some Penn Station news. Now.
- 0:38Speaker 2: You know, Penn Station is going to be rebuilt. A
- 0:43Speaker 2: whole new Penn Station is coming. You know, if your
- 0:47Speaker 2: commuter and you come into Grand Central, why it's beautiful.
- 0:50Speaker 2: It's one of the most beautiful train stations in America.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Grand Central is gorgeous. It's like a palace. You look
- 0:56Speaker 2: up at that ceiling with the stars and the architecture
- 1:00Speaker 2: and Central, and then you look around at the restaurants.
- 1:03Speaker 2: There's a Chipriani, there's a great steakhouse. There's that new
- 1:06Speaker 2: Brass array, there's the Campbell apartments, there's the best restaurants
- 1:11Speaker 2: in Grand Central stores. We got everything. You got the
- 1:15Speaker 2: Apple Store there. You couldn't get a better store than that.
- 1:18Speaker 2: And then they got that food court that's phenomenal. And
- 1:21Speaker 2: then they got that Food Haul, which is like the
- 1:24Speaker 2: best supermarket in the city. I mean, it's got the
- 1:26Speaker 2: best of the best. If you want to do your
- 1:28Speaker 2: grocery shopping, Grand Central it's got I mean, it's from
- 1:32Speaker 2: the best places, Murray's Cheese and Eli Zabar and all
- 1:36Speaker 2: the best suppliers. Really amazing. Now that's Grand Central. If
- 1:42Speaker 2: you go to Penn Station and you come up through
- 1:44Speaker 2: the you come up out of the train, you think
- 1:46Speaker 2: you're in Rikers Island. It looks like a prison camp.
- 1:50Speaker 2: It is the most disgusting trading station in America. It
- 1:54Speaker 2: really looks like a prison in there. It's awful, and
- 1:57Speaker 2: there's nothing to eat in there. Nothing. There's that one
- 2:01Speaker 2: pizza place that everybody thought was pretty good, but it's good.
- 2:04Speaker 2: But if you put that anywhere else it would be eh.
- 2:07Speaker 2: But in Grand Central it stood out. Now, outside of
- 2:10Speaker 2: Grand Central, they're starting to open restaurants and food halls
- 2:14Speaker 2: and stuff like that. But so the idea is they're
- 2:16Speaker 2: going to rebuild Penn Station. It's going to be magnificent.
- 2:19Speaker 2: It's going to be beautiful, pallacious. I'm looking at the drawings,
- 2:23Speaker 2: cavernous ceilings, monumental staircases, brass toned railings, massive columns that
- 2:29Speaker 2: will evoke the grandeur of the original Beaux Art penn
- 2:32Speaker 2: station that was torn down in the sixties. But the
- 2:37Speaker 2: federal government, the Trump administration, has agreed to send the money. Now,
- 2:42Speaker 2: this is not going to be done. Where's the date.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I mean, this will be a work won't even begin
- 2:49Speaker 2: till the end of next year. So that means government
- 2:53Speaker 2: five years, ten years. You're talking about twenty thirty five
- 2:56Speaker 2: or something. But here's the problem. The way it's all designed.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Near the entrance on Eighth Avenue, there's a big carved
- 3:04Speaker 2: into the marble, big beautiful presidential seal along with the
- 3:09Speaker 2: words President Donald J. Trump. Now, this is going to
- 3:13Speaker 2: drive New Yorkers nuts. It's carved right into the stone
- 3:16Speaker 2: wall inside the station. It appears right near the escalators
- 3:22Speaker 2: leading to the concourse. Now New York City has signed
- 3:26Speaker 2: off on all this because they want the money. So
- 3:29Speaker 2: it's an eight billion dollar project. Now that it'll be
- 3:33Speaker 2: twenty eight billion by the time they get done with it,
- 3:35Speaker 2: if it ever gets done. But by the time this
- 3:39Speaker 2: is even really getting fully underway, President Trump will be
- 3:43Speaker 2: out of office. If a Democrat takes office, you know
- 3:46Speaker 2: he's going to change all that and take his name
- 3:48Speaker 2: off it. But his name should be it should actually
- 3:51Speaker 2: be called Trumps Station. They've renamed the Palm Beach International
- 3:54Speaker 2: Airport Donald J. Trump International Airport. It's not unusual. There's
- 3:59Speaker 2: a thirty airports in America named after presidents. And New
- 4:03Speaker 2: York City owes Donald Trump a lot. They really do.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I mean, as much as you want to hate him,
- 4:10Speaker 2: we owe this guy a lot for what he's done
- 4:12Speaker 2: for New York City. Transformed the skyline. This guy rescued neighborhoods.
- 4:16Speaker 2: You know, you wouldn't have Grand Central look the way
- 4:19Speaker 2: it does today. It wasn't for Donald Trump. Nobody remembers this,
- 4:22Speaker 2: but back in the with the late seventies early eighties,
- 4:26Speaker 2: Grand Central, that whole area around there was in total decay.
- 4:30Speaker 2: It was going way downhill. Nobody in the right mind
- 4:33Speaker 2: wanted to be in that neighborhood. There was a dilapidated
- 4:36Speaker 2: hotel next to Grand Central called the Commodore, beat up, old,
- 4:40Speaker 2: decrepit old hotel. Trump buys it rebuilds the whole thing
- 4:46Speaker 2: into the beautiful, gleaming, brand new Grand Hyatt. It transformed
- 4:52Speaker 2: the neighborhood. It changed everything. All of a sudden, everybody
- 4:56Speaker 2: started looking at that neighborhood. This one magnificent, beautiful, glass,
- 5:00Speaker 2: gold and shiny hotel there changed the whole neighborhood. Jack
- 5:03Speaker 2: remember Jackie Kennedy back then, Jackie Onassis, she was trying
- 5:07Speaker 2: to save Grand Central, save the neighborhood. There was a
- 5:09Speaker 2: time where they thought they'd just tear it all down.
- 5:11Speaker 2: But Trump turned that neighborhood around. Then he goes to
- 5:15Speaker 2: Columbus Circle, which is a big booming place right now.
- 5:19Speaker 2: But you forget when Trump went to Columbus Circle late eighties,
- 5:23Speaker 2: it was in total decay. Nobody in their right mind
- 5:26Speaker 2: would be in Columbus Circle, Nobody would open their office there.
- 5:30Speaker 2: And it was the New York Coliseum, you remember that.
- 5:34Speaker 2: It was the we had the trade shows. And in
- 5:36Speaker 2: front of the New York Coliseum you'd see prison buses.
- 5:40Speaker 2: That's where the buses came for Rikers Island. All the
- 5:43Speaker 2: families that were visiting Rikers Island would get the bus
- 5:46Speaker 2: in front of the coliseum. It was a pretty sleazy,
- 5:49Speaker 2: slimy area Columbus Circle. Trump buys the old Gulf and
- 5:53Speaker 2: Western building, rebuilds the whole thing into the Trump International Hotel,
- 5:59Speaker 2: same thing, black, gleaming, shining, unbelievable hotel. He convinces John
- 6:04Speaker 2: George to open the restaurant in that building. That gave
- 6:08Speaker 2: it a lot of cachet right away, and it's the
- 6:11Speaker 2: most magnificent new hotel ever at the time, and unbelievable apartments,
- 6:16Speaker 2: and it transformed Columbus Circle. All of a sudden, Columbus
- 6:19Speaker 2: Circle took off and became a very hot neighborhood and
- 6:23Speaker 2: everything followed the time Warner Center. You owe all that
- 6:26Speaker 2: to Donald Trump. That's two neighborhoods. He rescued, Hey, not
- 6:30Speaker 2: to mention, he's the guy that started the Javit Center.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Nobody remembers that. That was his first project, the Javit Center.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Although they didn't let him build it, he got it going,
- 6:39Speaker 2: got full, things started. They brought in somebody else to
- 6:41Speaker 2: build it, but that was him. Come down the West
- 6:44Speaker 2: Side Highway. You see those high rises, those twenty five
- 6:47Speaker 2: unbelievable high rises in a row. That's Trump. Remember that
- 6:50Speaker 2: was all just abandoned railroad yard. So New York goes
- 6:53Speaker 2: this guy a lot. He transformed a lot of different
- 6:56Speaker 2: parts of New York. Hey, if you're watching the end
- 7:00Speaker 2: Nightly News, looks a little different all of a sudden.
- 7:03Speaker 2: The reason is it was coming from across the street.
- 7:06Speaker 2: It wasn't in the main building. It wasn't in the
- 7:09Speaker 2: RCA building, ge Building, Comcast building. It was across the street,
- 7:13Speaker 2: that little building where the Today Show is. They used
- 7:15Speaker 2: to do it out of there, but you know, they
- 7:18Speaker 2: threw MSNBC out of NBC. MSNBC had like the whole
- 7:22Speaker 2: half the third floor, enormous, beautiful, magnificent studio for MSNBC.
- 7:28Speaker 2: NBC threw them out. They don't want anything to do
- 7:30Speaker 2: with MSNBC. Threw it out of the building, threw it
- 7:32Speaker 2: out of the company. So NBC News has moved into
- 7:35Speaker 2: the old MSNBC studios, built an incredible new set and
- 7:41Speaker 2: looks absolutely magnificent. You know this Momdani plan. If you
- 7:47Speaker 2: got a really bad landlord and the building's neglected and
- 7:51Speaker 2: he's a slumlord and it's bad, and well, the government
- 7:53Speaker 2: will step in take over, transfer ownership to the tenant.
- 7:57Speaker 2: It sounds like a very you know, if you're a
- 8:00Speaker 2: left wing kook, it sounds great, sounds like a real
- 8:02Speaker 2: idealistic what a plan, Mom. Donnie's talked about it at
- 8:06Speaker 2: great length, but fails to mention this plan has been
- 8:10Speaker 2: tried about eighteen times in the past and always resulted
- 8:14Speaker 2: in total disaster. Every time it's done, it's even worse,
- 8:18Speaker 2: and it's a total failure. It's a proven failure every time.
- 8:22Speaker 2: But as we always tell you, democrats don't believe in science.
- 8:25Speaker 2: They don't follow the science socialism. Perfect example, it's been
- 8:31Speaker 2: tried ten thousand times, failed every single time. That's the science.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Ten thousand experiments. Every time it fails. You know, it
- 8:38Speaker 2: doesn't work, they'll keep doing it. Remember his crazy Well,
- 8:42Speaker 2: instead of police, we'll have social workers respond to domestic
- 8:46Speaker 2: violence calls. A domestic violence call, a police will tell
- 8:50Speaker 2: you it's the most dangerous call you get answer. We'll
- 8:52Speaker 2: have social workers do it again. That program has been
- 8:56Speaker 2: done about twelve times in the past over the years.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Every time it's a disaster and the social workers either
- 9:02Speaker 2: get killed or or seriously injured. They all end up
- 9:05Speaker 2: in the hospital. So it doesn't work. But whatever doesn't work,
- 9:10Speaker 2: these Democrats will bring it back yeah, it didn't work
- 9:13Speaker 2: ten thousand times. Maybe this time. Hey, remember I was
- 9:18Speaker 2: telling you about that sinkhole the lie. They now believe
- 9:22Speaker 2: it wasn't infrastructure that eroded or pipes that burst, or
- 9:28Speaker 2: they think a contractor was doing work and nothing wrong
- 9:33Speaker 2: with the contractor. I mean, it's just something that can happen.
- 9:35Speaker 2: They were digging under the lie, putting pipes on it.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Something happened. They think this might be the reason. But
- 9:41Speaker 2: this Newsday, you know they still print Newsday, They still
- 9:45Speaker 2: have a website, news Day. I don't know why. It's
- 9:48Speaker 2: it's the most partisan biased paper in the world. Newsday.
- 9:52Speaker 2: It's a tiny little paper. It used to be a
- 9:54Speaker 2: big thing with it. One time it was like the
- 9:55Speaker 2: fifth biggest newspaper in America. Now it's just tiny Newsday.
- 10:00Speaker 2: They can't help this, so partisan, so ridiculously. One side
- 10:06Speaker 2: had slanted. So they're writing about the contractor. Everything is Republican,
- 10:10Speaker 2: Republican donor and contractor Labriola Republican donor and contract Well,
- 10:16Speaker 2: if this guy's a big contractor in Long Island, like
- 10:20Speaker 2: all of them, I guarantee he donates to Democrats and Republicans.
- 10:23Speaker 2: They both donate to both parties. If you're a contractor're
- 10:26Speaker 2: looking for government work, of course you donate to both parties,
- 10:29Speaker 2: but Newsday has to label it Republican donor. He's related
- 10:36Speaker 2: to the Oyster Bay town councilman. But this is Newsday.
- 10:42Speaker 2: He's related to Republican Oyster Bay. So be very careful
- 10:48Speaker 2: if you're a Newsday reader, you're getting very very slanted coverage. Hey,
- 10:53Speaker 2: you know that little worm, Michael Wolf, That sleazy little guy,
- 10:57Speaker 2: Michael Wolf. He writes these books attacking Trump, like crazy,
- 11:01Speaker 2: vicious little guy, and half the stuff in his book
- 11:03Speaker 2: is never true. So he was suing Milania Trump. She
- 11:09Speaker 2: said she's finally going to sue him. He just prints
- 11:11Speaker 2: stuff that's total crap in is false. One of the
- 11:14Speaker 2: things was that it was Jeffrey Epstein that introduced Milania
- 11:18Speaker 2: to Donald trumpll It's absolutely not true, and she didn't
- 11:20Speaker 2: know Jeffrey Epstein. So she was going to sue him
- 11:24Speaker 2: for a billion dollars. So he filed the suit first
- 11:28Speaker 2: to sue her. His lawsuit was just tossed out by
- 11:32Speaker 2: the court. Yeah, he said. The judge said it's ridiculous,
- 11:39Speaker 2: tossed it out. He can refile it if he wants,
- 11:41Speaker 2: but court just tossed it out. So hey, we always sad.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Thank Andrew CMO for screwing up New York for creating
- 11:48Speaker 2: the crime wave single handedly with his no bail, no jail.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Could you imagine this guy pushed in, campaigned for his
- 11:56Speaker 2: no bail, no jail. He closed the prisons, bragged about
- 12:00Speaker 2: letting prisoners out. He changed the parole board, so they
- 12:04Speaker 2: let everybody out. They let out forty three cop killers.
- 12:07Speaker 2: So look at that. Here's a typical example. This wacko
- 12:10Speaker 2: who shoved somebody into the subway tracks forty one prior arrests,
- 12:16Speaker 2: forty one prior arrests. He's walking around in the streets.
- 12:20Speaker 2: His last three arrests he was let out. He's also
- 12:24Speaker 2: been arrested for theft of service, criminal test but forty
- 12:26Speaker 2: one priors, and he's out there walking around and absolutely ridiculous.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Now those speed cameras. If you live in the suburbs,
- 12:37Speaker 2: they got him in the city, they got him on
- 12:39Speaker 2: the certain major roads. If you're out in the suburbs,
- 12:43Speaker 2: they're starting to put those speed cameras everywhere. Now they've
- 12:46Speaker 2: gotten cheaper. Government doesn't do it. It's a private company. You
- 12:50Speaker 2: hire them. They come in and put up the cameras.
- 12:52Speaker 2: So it doesn't cost that much, but it's really annoying.
- 12:55Speaker 2: It's driving people crazy. But here's Greenwich, Connecticut checking and
- 13:01Speaker 2: so apparently in a school zone they had first. First
- 13:05Speaker 2: they do a test with the cameras. They see how
- 13:06Speaker 2: many people are speeding, thirty seven thousand people. Now, when
- 13:11Speaker 2: they say speeding, it's a school zone. You know you're
- 13:14Speaker 2: driving on a normal suburban road speed limit thirty thirty
- 13:18Speaker 2: five forty school zone fifteen. Nobody can go fifteen. You
- 13:23Speaker 2: can't do it. It's impossible. In a golf cart, you
- 13:25Speaker 2: can't go fifteen. Nobody's going to drive fifteen. So they
- 13:29Speaker 2: count that as speeding. So they clock thirty seven thousand speeders.
- 13:32Speaker 2: So now they turn on these cameras and mail out
- 13:35Speaker 2: the tickets. The thirty seven thousand immediately decreased to fifteen thousand.
- 13:43Speaker 2: They send out more tickets, it decreased to seven thousand.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Now you got to remember if if you get out
- 13:51Speaker 2: send out ten thousan let's say's ten thousand speeding tickets,
- 13:54Speaker 2: and it's one hundred dollars a ticket. Well, let's say
- 13:57Speaker 2: it's fifty dollars a ticket. That's like half a millionllion
- 14:00Speaker 2: bucks right there. That's a lot of revenue coming in.
- 14:03Speaker 2: So that's that's why they keep doing it. Hey just
- 14:07Speaker 2: want to warn people, and we'll talk about this on Monday.
- 14:09Speaker 2: We'll get into this Monday in detail with the Great
- 14:11Speaker 2: Food Writer. When you go on Instagram, there's all next thing.
- 14:17Speaker 2: You know, you're bombarded with Instagram stuff every day, the
- 14:19Speaker 2: best burger in New York, the best pizza in New York.
- 14:21Speaker 2: And then there's these Instagram unbelievable Instagram food fads. It's
- 14:26Speaker 2: like that Golden Honey pancake that everybody had have, or
- 14:30Speaker 2: Bubby's Downtown because the JFK Junior, the James Beard pancas.
- 14:35Speaker 2: It's all over Insta. So now you got to run
- 14:37Speaker 2: and wait in line for six hours to None of
- 14:39Speaker 2: these things on Instagram are as good as you think
- 14:43Speaker 2: they're good, but they're not that phenomenal. Don't don't get
- 14:45Speaker 2: crazy waiting in these lines. You know, when they show
- 14:48Speaker 2: you this Hamburger and Red Hook and Brooklyn and this hamburger,
- 14:52Speaker 2: you got to go here for. It's a hamburger. It's good,
- 14:55Speaker 2: it's very good, but it's probably look where I am
- 14:57Speaker 2: right now, middle of Manhattan, fifty fifth Street. There's probably
- 15:02Speaker 2: fifty hamburgers in this neighborhood that are better than anything.
- 15:05Speaker 2: It's a hamburger, you just put it on a grill.
- 15:08Speaker 2: I mean, what do you think they have in that
- 15:09Speaker 2: Instagram one? You think they went to Mars and got
- 15:12Speaker 2: some special beef that nobody else can have. It's the same.
- 15:15Speaker 2: I mean, there's different levels of quality, but it's pretty
- 15:17Speaker 2: much the same. I mean, you could make a little
- 15:19Speaker 2: difference at the right season, but it's not that much different.
- 15:22Speaker 2: So the biggest Instagram trend in the world right now,
- 15:25Speaker 2: people are lining up for hours is dot cake. It's
- 15:31Speaker 2: made by a company in Roslyn, New York. Dot Cake,
- 15:34Speaker 2: and the only place you get in Manhattan is Butterfields,
- 15:37Speaker 2: which is a great market. People line up for hours
- 15:40Speaker 2: to wait for this dot cake. It's a it comes
- 15:42Speaker 2: in a round cup.
- 15:43Speaker 3: It's cake.
- 15:44Speaker 2: There's an ella cake at chocolate Cake, at Red Velvet,
- 15:47Speaker 2: and then on the top of those dots the sprinkles.
- 15:50Speaker 2: But they're packs so tight that they don't move. So
- 15:53Speaker 2: people are waiting in line for hours for this. Not
- 15:56Speaker 2: that good. I mean it's okay, but it's not great.
- 16:00Speaker 2: And the great food writer Steve Cuzo tried it. He'll
- 16:02Speaker 2: be with us Monday, we'll talk about it. So that's
- 16:05Speaker 2: a big one. The other thing is flo yo a
- 16:08Speaker 2: fro yo. Everybody's fro yo. It's all over Instagram, waiting
- 16:11Speaker 2: in line for hours for the special fro yo. Fro
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yo is frozen yogurt. It's it's the same frozen yoga.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Where do you think they get this frozen yogurt at
- 16:23Speaker 2: this place? Do you think they're going to like some
- 16:26Speaker 2: part of France to get it. It's the same mixture
- 16:29Speaker 2: that everybody else uses. I mean, you could change the
- 16:32Speaker 2: flavor of it, but it's good, but it's not. Don't
- 16:34Speaker 2: wait in line for many hours anyway, We'll take some calls.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Next.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. Set up
- 16:45Speaker 2: pre set on the iHeartRadio app to dou woor to
- 16:48Speaker 2: hear Mark live.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Set another for Mark's podcast to hear him any time.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Now back to Mark Simone on do woor Hey, let's
- 17:00Speaker 2: take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 17:04Speaker 2: ten is number. Let's go to Mara in Nevada.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Mara, how you doing so good.
- 17:08Speaker 4: I'm talking to you, chow Vincent. Mark. I'm gonna tell
- 17:12Speaker 4: you who Dagmar was.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Now we know, I know, I know, I know who
- 17:15Speaker 2: dag Warn was.
- 17:16Speaker 4: She was on the Jerry Leicester Show.
- 17:18Speaker 2: She was on a Broadway Open House. Yes we know
- 17:20Speaker 2: all that.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Oh white with the Jerry Lesson Show is called Broadway
- 17:24Speaker 4: Open House? Yes, oh okay, you know?
- 17:28Speaker 2: Next subject?
- 17:30Speaker 4: What?
- 17:31Speaker 2: Next subject?
- 17:32Speaker 4: No? No you know what?
- 17:33Speaker 5: No?
- 17:33Speaker 4: No, no, Mark, I'm an antique, so you know, I'm
- 17:36Speaker 4: like you.
- 17:36Speaker 5: I know.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Well, we can't we can't, we can't. We can't talk
- 17:38Speaker 2: about Dagmar anymore. It's too old.
- 17:40Speaker 4: Oh wow, but they brought him up.
- 17:43Speaker 2: I know that was last hour. We got to do
- 17:44Speaker 2: something different this hour. We can't do the same topics
- 17:47Speaker 2: over and over again. Let's go to Phil in Northport. Phil,
- 17:49Speaker 2: how you doing, hello?
- 17:52Speaker 3: Mark?
- 17:52Speaker 6: The average NBA player makes twelve million dollars a year.
- 17:56Speaker 6: And here's an interesting sidekick, Mella. Mon should know that
- 18:01Speaker 6: most of the Knicks do not live in New York City.
- 18:04Speaker 6: They live in Jersey, Westchester County from what I understand.
- 18:09Speaker 3: So you know, yeah, but.
- 18:12Speaker 2: That's most most sports. If you check the Yankees, most
- 18:15Speaker 2: of them live in the suburbs, they live in Westchester,
- 18:17Speaker 2: they live in Connecticut, they live in Jersey. That's most athletes.
- 18:22Speaker 6: I know, he won't be able to get their their funds,
- 18:25Speaker 6: so good for them.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, but a lot of these guys, they're
- 18:31Speaker 2: not city slickers. You know a lot of these baseball
- 18:34Speaker 2: players are you know, football players. They came from the
- 18:36Speaker 2: middle of America. You know, came to the minor leagues
- 18:39Speaker 2: or college is it? I mean, there's something there's like
- 18:41Speaker 2: a a rod of Derek. You want to move right
- 18:44Speaker 2: into Manhattan and chase women all day. But a lot
- 18:46Speaker 2: of them want to live in the suburbs, have a house,
- 18:48Speaker 2: have kids, all that. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave,
- 18:51Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark. I'm doing very well. Thank you, Mark.
- 18:56Speaker 7: I was pleasantly surprised as I was reading Barrett Media
- 18:59Speaker 7: this morning and I saw a picture of you and
- 19:03Speaker 7: Stephanie Eads. She was on your show yesterday with the
- 19:07Speaker 7: founder Jason Barrett. Are you going to pull two things?
- 19:12Speaker 7: Number one, are you going to post that photo to
- 19:15Speaker 7: social media? And secondly, I'm highly impressed with the view
- 19:19Speaker 7: behind you in your studio.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Really, I didn't see this picture. I gotta go look
- 19:24Speaker 2: up the I always read Parrett Barrett Media every day.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Check it out. It's the best. Well, it is the
- 19:31Speaker 2: only and the best coverage of radio talk radio. Barrettmedia
- 19:35Speaker 2: dot com. Check the website every day. I don't see it,
- 19:38Speaker 2: I'll go find it. But well, actually, if you checked
- 19:41Speaker 2: my instagram, Jason Barrett was here. We took a picture
- 19:45Speaker 2: with me and Curtis and Charlemagne the God, and that's
- 19:48Speaker 2: up on Instagram.
- 19:49Speaker 7: Well, Mark, if this helps, I'm a subscriber, so this
- 19:54Speaker 7: this morning's edition. Was reading it and I scrolled down
- 20:00Speaker 7: to the bottom.
- 20:01Speaker 3: I didn't get to the bottom.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I'll go down and look at it. But everybody interested
- 20:05Speaker 2: in radio TV, all that stuff you want inside broadcasting stuff.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Barrettmedia dot com. Very good website. Let's go to Bonnie
- 20:14Speaker 2: and Tom's River. Bonnie.
- 20:15Speaker 6: How you doing him?
- 20:17Speaker 3: Mark?
- 20:18Speaker 6: I want to talk about the other night I had
- 20:21Speaker 6: Greg Kelly on and he was talking about Jill's first husband.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Yeah, Greg Kelly, very good show. You should watch that
- 20:28Speaker 2: every night news Max nine to ten. And yeah, Jill,
- 20:33Speaker 2: he's been really the only one really staying on this.
- 20:36Speaker 2: It's an important story. Jill Biden's first husband, Bill Stevenson.
- 20:41Speaker 2: They were married, Joe stole her away. She left her
- 20:43Speaker 2: husband for Joe Biden. Something sleazy happened. They've been you know,
- 20:49Speaker 2: Biden's are famous for law fair. This poor guy got
- 20:52Speaker 2: arrested for some income tax o to dollars. It was
- 20:55Speaker 2: ridiculous he got through that. Now they're charging with murder.
- 20:58Speaker 2: It's very suspicious. Yeah, well we don't know, but it
- 21:03Speaker 2: looks pretty bad. It's pretty suspicious. And where's Jill Biden
- 21:06Speaker 2: all of this?
- 21:07Speaker 6: This was her husband get to whatever she deserves?
- 21:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Now she's a rough, tough, nasty woman. Look
- 21:14Speaker 2: who she's married to. Yeah, let's go to Rich and
- 21:17Speaker 2: Myrtle Beach Rich. How you doing well?
- 21:20Speaker 3: You God? Thanks Mark. I see the Democrats are doing
- 21:22Speaker 3: their best to help us in the midterms by telling
- 21:24Speaker 3: us again not to believe our own eyes. And he's
- 21:27Speaker 3: all peaceful protests New Jersey and Mickey Show is really
- 21:30Speaker 3: showing us what a stupid person she really is. But
- 21:33Speaker 3: we can't believe our eyes anymore. They're telling us the
- 21:35Speaker 3: truth and everything else, and it's just gonna keep going.
- 21:37Speaker 3: It's gonna help us in the midterms.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Yeah, no, absolutely, I don't know why they're going crazy
- 21:41Speaker 2: at this New Jersey Iiced Attention center. But you know,
- 21:44Speaker 2: what they're doing is a crime. You can't obstruct law enforcement.
- 21:47Speaker 2: And Attorney General Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche hopefully it
- 21:51Speaker 2: will start going after them, even these politicians who blocked
- 21:54Speaker 2: the entrance and you're obstructing law enforcement, arrest them.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Look, that's a federal crime, and not only threatening the
- 22:00Speaker 1: ice officer, but think about how disgusting this individual is
- 22:03Speaker 1: threatening his family and his children with death. What is
- 22:07Speaker 1: this man doing, He's just doing his job standing there
- 22:10Speaker 1: and so this again, that is disgusting.
- 22:13Speaker 2: That what you just showed.
- 22:14Speaker 1: And we see his face and I promise you we
- 22:17Speaker 1: will find him and when we find him, we will
- 22:20Speaker 1: arrest him.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Good, let's hope. So, yeah, they're going after these ice officers,
- 22:24Speaker 2: these awful protesters. Anyway, Hey, perfect person to talk about
- 22:28Speaker 2: this when we come back, and Colter will be with
- 22:30Speaker 2: us next we'll talk to her about that and more
- 22:33Speaker 2: coming up on seven to ten.
- 22:35Speaker 7: Wor blogged into Everything New York on the Voice of
- 22:40Speaker 7: New York Mark Simone on sevent ten, wr.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Well and Culture, the best selling author, the Great columnist
- 22:48Speaker 2: and of course the follower on Twitter. Great stuff on Twitter,
- 22:51Speaker 2: even better Substack, where she's got columns and videos and
- 22:54Speaker 2: podcasts and culture dot substack dot com. Also check out
- 22:59Speaker 2: her Rumble channel. Lots of stuff up on Rumble. Just
- 23:02Speaker 2: go to and culture at Rumble and Culture.
- 23:04Speaker 5: How you doing fantastic? How are you, Mark Simon, I'm good.
- 23:09Speaker 2: So there's an ice detention facility in New Jersey. Democrats
- 23:13Speaker 2: protesting it day and night. Democratic officials, Corey Booker, the governor,
- 23:18Speaker 2: Mikey sh they're all out there blocking the What is
- 23:21Speaker 2: it with these Democrats and ice facilities.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Well, as we've discussed, they want to destroy the United
- 23:28Speaker 5: States of America. What's funny is Democrats are usually, in
- 23:36Speaker 5: my opinion, pretty cagey about winning elections. It's kind of
- 23:42Speaker 5: annoyed me that my party, Republicans, are often less interested
- 23:45Speaker 5: in winning elections than being purest. Although he may have
- 23:49Speaker 5: passed through that period. In any event, Trumped is underwater
- 23:55Speaker 5: on every single issue, but want the one he is
- 24:00Speaker 5: still shining on is immigration. I mean, hopefully everything else
- 24:05Speaker 5: will come back once now that he has this fantastic
- 24:07Speaker 5: deal and we're gonna end the war Agay and the
- 24:09Speaker 5: fuel prices will go down, and gas will go down,
- 24:11Speaker 5: and food and everything will go down, and life will
- 24:14Speaker 5: be grand and we won't be wiped out in the midterms. Maybe.
- 24:18Speaker 5: But the one thing, even in the midst of this,
- 24:21Speaker 5: this horror of polls, people still support him on immigration.
- 24:26Speaker 5: And I mean not only in this country. You see
- 24:28Speaker 5: across Western Europe all these as they call them, you know,
- 24:32Speaker 5: right wing parties rising, and the one thing that makes
- 24:35Speaker 5: them right wing is no, please stop dumping these Third
- 24:38Speaker 5: world rapists and stabbers on us. They're very stabby. These
- 24:43Speaker 5: these refugees are bringing him. That's clearly what the people
- 24:47Speaker 5: want is I wrote a decade ago in antigost America.
- 24:50Speaker 5: I have never ever seen an issue where the people
- 24:53Speaker 5: are on one side of the issue and all the
- 24:56Speaker 5: people they elect are on the other side of the issue.
- 24:59Speaker 5: But Democrats have gone whole hog anti immigration purely out
- 25:03Speaker 5: of their Trump derangement syndrome. A lot of them used
- 25:06Speaker 5: to be pretty good on immigration, like Senator Dianne Feinstein
- 25:10Speaker 5: and Barbara Boxer from California. Why because they were bearing
- 25:13Speaker 5: the brunt of it. Senator Harry Reid from Nevada gave
- 25:17Speaker 5: a fantastic speech on the Senate floor, denouncing the concept
- 25:21Speaker 5: of anger babies and saying what kind of country would
- 25:25Speaker 5: do this to itself? Clinton was good, Obama was better.
- 25:30Speaker 5: But because Trump's signature issue is immigration, the Democratic Party
- 25:34Speaker 5: has decided we want to then we are absolutely against it.
- 25:38Speaker 5: We are for open borders. They would be for eating
- 25:41Speaker 5: poison if Trump came out and said it's bad to
- 25:44Speaker 5: eat poison.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Yeah, So it's not just to get in twenty million
- 25:48Speaker 2: new voters for them, it's really just Trump's arrangement syndrome,
- 25:52Speaker 2: knee jerk reaction to him.
- 25:55Speaker 5: Well, the voters, Yeah, of course that's big. Also, the
- 25:58Speaker 5: cheap made a lot of it advantages for Democrats, But
- 26:01Speaker 5: right now it is it is such a toxic position
- 26:05Speaker 5: for them to take politically, I mean, I guess except
- 26:09Speaker 5: for the among the illegals themselves, whom they are very
- 26:14Speaker 5: anxious to have vote and do allow to vote in
- 26:17Speaker 5: many states. It wasn't New York City trying to put
- 26:20Speaker 5: Democrats trying to push through a bill expressly to allow
- 26:23Speaker 5: illegals to vote, and in cities around around the country
- 26:27Speaker 5: they've made illegal aliens mayors the chief of police. So
- 26:33Speaker 5: other than with those voters who aren't who. They keep
- 26:37Speaker 5: shoring us, never vote. Don't worry illegal vote. It's illegal,
- 26:40Speaker 5: that's not a problem. No, they're letting illegals vote. They're
- 26:42Speaker 5: very happy to have illegal vote, except for them. I
- 26:44Speaker 5: don't know what constituency they think they're serving.
- 26:47Speaker 2: So this ICE facility, the politicians, the governor, everybody, they're
- 26:51Speaker 2: out there screaming, and they won't let us in. They
- 26:53Speaker 2: won't let us in, even the local politician, Menendez. It
- 26:57Speaker 2: turns out he was in there like four or five
- 26:59Speaker 2: days ago. If you call up ahead of time and range,
- 27:02Speaker 2: they'll let the governor come visit.
- 27:04Speaker 5: But if you just show the door just for these
- 27:06Speaker 5: obnoxious photo ops. So they want to relive, you know,
- 27:10Speaker 5: the glory days of the BLM rights and ANTIFA takeovers
- 27:15Speaker 5: and burning down courthouses and ICE facilities. That's that's political
- 27:19Speaker 5: activism for the left. But I liked that. I saw
- 27:24Speaker 5: that one of the great things the Trump administration is
- 27:27Speaker 5: doing that ICE is going to start buying up these
- 27:31Speaker 5: A lot of the ICE facilities are private facilities, and
- 27:34Speaker 5: in general, I'm in favor of private prisons. I'm not
- 27:36Speaker 5: sort of saying privates, these private institutions. So you don't
- 27:40Speaker 5: have all of the government regulations, government pensions, government strikes,
- 27:47Speaker 5: government unions. But they're doing it so that they don't
- 27:51Speaker 5: have to be subject to the to the local rules
- 27:55Speaker 5: on protesting, and they can just say this is federal property,
- 27:58Speaker 5: You're not allowed to protest here.
- 28:00Speaker 2: All right, that makes sense. Attorney General Todd blanch says,
- 28:04Speaker 2: you can start to arrest these people that obstruct law enforcement.
- 28:07Speaker 2: But is that what they want? Some of these politicians
- 28:09Speaker 2: want to get themselves arrested, thinking it will look good
- 28:11Speaker 2: for them.
- 28:14Speaker 5: I think they do, But as I say, I'm not
- 28:16Speaker 5: really sure this is as good for them as they
- 28:22Speaker 5: think it is. I mean, I guess any Democrat is
- 28:25Speaker 5: happy to have his picture in a mugshot or getting
- 28:28Speaker 5: arrested by the police, you know, fighting the power. But
- 28:34Speaker 5: I mean the idea I suppose if I were going
- 28:37Speaker 5: to make the argument on their side, how does this
- 28:39Speaker 5: help them? It's the old children in cages. They're appealing
- 28:44Speaker 5: to the the compassion and kindness of the American people,
- 28:49Speaker 5: and Americans are extremely benevolent. But quite a while ago,
- 28:55Speaker 5: I think Americans benevolence wore out on immigrants and laliens
- 29:00Speaker 5: coming in committing crimes, demanding massive welfare's welfare, committing frauds,
- 29:06Speaker 5: taking multi million dollar, billion dollar government schemes to steal
- 29:12Speaker 5: money from the taxpayers. And and you know we've been
- 29:15Speaker 5: hearing this. Oh but they're the poor. Look what they're fleeing.
- 29:18Speaker 5: They're fleeing. No, they're going home and vacationing in the
- 29:20Speaker 5: country is they're allegedly too afraid to live in no
- 29:24Speaker 5: help me, help me get me out. And then and
- 29:26Speaker 5: then they're back, you know, buying all these all these
- 29:28Speaker 5: the welfare fraud and Somalia. Not only are they vacationing there,
- 29:31Speaker 5: they're using their their US taxpayer money to buy the
- 29:35Speaker 5: beach front of States and Somalia. They even have a
- 29:38Speaker 5: beach there.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Now and culture. I talk about Los Angeles, it looks like,
- 29:44Speaker 2: you know, this thing, this crazy left wing cycle, it
- 29:46Speaker 2: always turns a corner. It looks like a Los Angeles.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Maybe they're waking up the voters to realize, Uh, these
- 29:52Speaker 2: left wing, woke democrats have ruined their city. You think
- 29:56Speaker 2: things are changing there with Spencer Pratt.
- 30:00Speaker 5: I don't know. I hope so, I hope so, I hope.
- 30:02Speaker 5: So he's running a fabulous campaign. They did eventually, not
- 30:08Speaker 5: as quickly as I might have liked. Throw out that
- 30:12Speaker 5: that Uh it was yet another you know, Cuban blessing
- 30:16Speaker 5: to our nation. Gascon that DA they had for a
- 30:20Speaker 5: long time whose official policy was, no, We're going to
- 30:25Speaker 5: make crime legal, decriminalized crime. Uh And and the streets
- 30:31Speaker 5: ran with blood and and homelessness, and they elected that
- 30:35Speaker 5: fantastic DA they had in LA now Nathan Hoffman. So,
- 30:39Speaker 5: I don't know, maybe maybe enough people have have gotten
- 30:43Speaker 5: fed up. On the other hand, because of what Democrats
- 30:45Speaker 5: do to these cities. As we're all worried about with
- 30:48Speaker 5: New York and I'm worried about with LA. They drive
- 30:53Speaker 5: out so many of the same voters. I'm not going
- 30:58Speaker 5: to live in this just toe. Yeah. So you know
- 31:02Speaker 5: what percentage of California or Los Angeles and New York
- 31:05Speaker 5: City is now living in Miami or Austin.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. Do you know somebody played out the
- 31:11Speaker 2: last Oscars? The ten nominated Best pictures, None of them
- 31:15Speaker 2: were made in Hollywood. Even Hollywood has left Hollywood. They
- 31:17Speaker 2: don't even make movies there anymore.
- 31:20Speaker 5: Oh No, it's a big issue. The sound stage is
- 31:23Speaker 5: the production facilities. It's really sad because that was that
- 31:27Speaker 5: was such a fabulous and unique part of America. One
- 31:33Speaker 5: I might add that was created by immigrants, immigrants, Jewish immigrants.
- 31:37Speaker 5: It's the only it's the only industry I think that
- 31:40Speaker 5: ever was created by immigrants and hugely successful. I mean,
- 31:45Speaker 5: America has known the world over for its movies. Probably
- 31:48Speaker 5: a little less now that they're going so dei and woke,
- 31:52Speaker 5: but yeah, they're not being made in Hollywood anymore. There
- 31:56Speaker 5: was an article about a year ago in the New
- 31:59Speaker 5: York Times about a tour of Paramount Studios. It was
- 32:04Speaker 5: because one of my friends used to be the head
- 32:06Speaker 5: of Paramount. I sent it to him. We were both
- 32:08Speaker 5: very sad about it. So they're taking these people through
- 32:11Speaker 5: on the little golf clarts and there's I never saw it,
- 32:15Speaker 5: there's the bench that Florest Gump sat on when he
- 32:19Speaker 5: did blah blah blah. And everybody on the tour said,
- 32:23Speaker 5: what's Florest Gump was the most recent like big hit
- 32:30Speaker 5: you guys can come up with. It was just sad.
- 32:33Speaker 5: The place was empty, nothing was being filmed. It's really
- 32:38Speaker 5: really sad. And so many people who had wonderful lives
- 32:44Speaker 5: in that wonderful city. There were so many jobs out
- 32:47Speaker 5: of Hollywood, the gaffers and cameramen and makeup artists and
- 32:50Speaker 5: all the cot oh and the food, the craft services
- 32:55Speaker 5: people when they're filming something. There were so many jobs
- 32:58Speaker 5: and they are gone, gone, gone well well.
- 33:03Speaker 2: And culter a great talking to you. Now, tell very
- 33:05Speaker 2: about your Rumble stuff. What do you do on Rumble?
- 33:08Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I think I want to get away from Mondays,
- 33:10Speaker 5: but Rumble wants me on Monday, Monday and Thursdays live
- 33:15Speaker 5: Live with Me, five pm. I'm not sure what I'll
- 33:20Speaker 5: do but interviews, And yesterday I did one. It was
- 33:23Speaker 5: just me chit chatting about usually five big stories of
- 33:27Speaker 5: the week. And I did an interview on Monday with
- 33:30Speaker 5: a New York Times reporter, Robert Draper, because he covered
- 33:34Speaker 5: the Thomas Massey the big, the big race down in Kentucky. Uh,
- 33:40Speaker 5: the most expensive congressional race and like you know, I
- 33:44Speaker 5: think ever, probably because it was in the last fifty years,
- 33:48Speaker 5: like twenty million dollars was spent on this one little
- 33:51Speaker 5: congressional listort. Anyway, he was on the ground doing reporting.
- 33:54Speaker 5: I'd read his reporting in the New York Times. It
- 33:56Speaker 5: was really interesting, it was really good, and we played
- 33:58Speaker 5: a few little clips from his interview use with no
- 34:01Speaker 5: one knows the name of the guy who won, but
- 34:03Speaker 5: ed Galline.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Well, everybody to watch. You can see all this stuff.
- 34:07Speaker 2: It's all up there on Rumble and Culture at Rumbo.
- 34:10Speaker 5: It all.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Oh okay, And then just make sure you follow on
- 34:14Speaker 2: substack and Culter dot substack dot com and of course
- 34:18Speaker 2: Twitter as well and Culter thanks for being with us.
- 34:22Speaker 5: Good to doc you, Mark Simone by bye.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Take care. Hey, uh, don't forget coming up at noon,
- 34:27Speaker 2: Buck and Clay three o'clock. The most listened to radio
- 34:31Speaker 2: show in America, Sean Hannity. I'll be a guest today
- 34:34Speaker 2: on the Sean Hannity Show. And you know, Curtis is back.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Curtis Sliwa is here every morning. It's Curtisliwa and Larry
- 34:41Speaker 2: Menti on seven to ten wor. Hey, we're out of time,
- 34:45Speaker 2: but I'll be back Monday. See you then seven to
- 34:47Speaker 2: ten wor
