- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's talk about Okay, hold on real quick, speaking of something.
- 0:03Speaker 2: We got to talk about. The insurance post you made
- 0:05Speaker 2: on IG caught my attention. Can you give me your
- 0:09Speaker 2: thought and break down on that and why that's a
- 0:12Speaker 2: great solution.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure, let's get into it. Actually, let me
- 0:16Speaker 3: just look at it just to make sure I got
- 0:18Speaker 3: the right numbers. So what I just you know, I
- 0:21Speaker 3: just get random thoughts sometimes. So I said, the fastest
- 0:26Speaker 3: way to create black wealth, it's not stocks, real estate
- 0:30Speaker 3: or crypto. That doesn't mean that we're not champions of stocks,
- 0:33Speaker 3: real estate, and crypto. Obviously we have a joke on
- 0:35Speaker 3: Market Mondays where we talk about stocks all time. But
- 0:39Speaker 3: if six million black men ages forty to sixty each
- 0:44Speaker 3: had one million dollar life insurance policy, that would create
- 0:49Speaker 3: six trillion dollars in tax free wealth transfer to the
- 0:53Speaker 3: next generation. That average policy costs less than a car
- 0:56Speaker 3: note six trillion. And the reason why I said it's
- 0:59Speaker 3: just the easiest because it doesn't take.
- 1:02Speaker 2: You've gotta be a genius to do it. And to
- 1:06Speaker 2: ross max point, the killing that happens in our community,
- 1:13Speaker 2: the insurance companies will stop, will make sure that we
- 1:16Speaker 2: don't get killed at a certain clip because it's gonna
- 1:18Speaker 2: cost them a certain month amount to pay that shit out.
- 1:22Speaker 1: It's an economic decision.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Even like when you guys at the episode about the
- 1:27Speaker 2: the police bonds, like if an officer does something, they
- 1:31Speaker 2: already have investments in place to cover the lawsuits. If
- 1:36Speaker 2: all of us are insured, they're gonna thwart some of
- 1:39Speaker 2: the issues that have happened.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:40Speaker 1: The other conversation is what they raise the premiums up and.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Trying prices out, But let's act really quick to to
- 1:49Speaker 2: get covered.
- 1:51Speaker 3: And why did I just why did I just say men?
- 1:53Speaker 3: Of course women should get insurance also. But I always
- 1:59Speaker 3: thought a campaign would be every black man in America
- 2:03Speaker 3: needs at least a million dollars of life insurance, at
- 2:06Speaker 3: least a million dollars of life That should be a goal.
- 2:09Speaker 4: That should be a goal.
- 2:11Speaker 3: What if every and like I said, did ages forty
- 2:13Speaker 3: to sixty because that's prime, those are prime ages. What
- 2:17Speaker 3: if every black man in America, or in that case,
- 2:21Speaker 3: six million black men, which I don't think that's every
- 2:23Speaker 3: single black man, but what if six million black men
- 2:27Speaker 3: or every adult black man had a million dollars life
- 2:29Speaker 3: insurance policy. That would literally within the course of probably
- 2:34Speaker 3: thirty to forty years change the wealth trajectory of black
- 2:38Speaker 3: people in America. Like I said, that's six trillion dollars
- 2:42Speaker 3: of wealth transfer tax free, let alone retirement plans, stock
- 2:47Speaker 3: portfolio of real estate. We're not talking about none that
- 2:49Speaker 3: because like I said, that's why I said, like you don't.
- 2:51Speaker 3: You don't have to have any level of brilliance, intelligencestication, yephistication, anything, anything,
- 2:58Speaker 3: And that's shooting for the starts. Even if you don't
- 3:00Speaker 3: get a million and a half a million whatever, But
- 3:03Speaker 3: think about the wealth transfer that that would create in
- 3:08Speaker 3: a relatively short period of time.
- 3:11Speaker 2: And like you said, it's cheaper than the car note
- 3:13Speaker 2: Like if you want a permanent policy, I think it's
- 3:16Speaker 2: four hundred to one thousand a month for that coverage,
- 3:19Speaker 2: or if you go turn it's like eighty to two fifty.
- 3:24Speaker 2: But just knowing even in that, like there's certain things
- 3:26Speaker 2: to cover. Even in like my first investments presentation I
- 3:29Speaker 2: talked about like a business matrix of like twenty four
- 3:32Speaker 2: assets that you want to have that was probably fourth
- 3:34Speaker 2: on the list. It's needed even and if you want
- 3:38Speaker 2: to go up even higher, like a ten million dollar policy,
- 3:40Speaker 2: it's not as much as you think. It's not as
- 3:43Speaker 2: much as you think. So I thought it was a
- 3:47Speaker 2: brilliant assessment because a lot of course with investing, you know,
- 3:51Speaker 2: I always get to what stock, how do I know
- 3:52Speaker 2: it'll lasts?
- 3:53Speaker 1: It's like, this is an.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Easy asset to buy that's really cheap and cheaper than
- 3:57Speaker 2: most costs per share of any company that I would love.
- 4:01Speaker 1: So I definitely think it's one when.
- 4:04Speaker 3: And okay, so in the black men, why specifically black men, Well,
- 4:08Speaker 3: if you're the leaders, if you're if we're going to
- 4:10Speaker 3: be leaders in our community and leaders of our family,
- 4:13Speaker 3: has to start with us. So women should get life
- 4:15Speaker 3: insurance also. But what I saw, unfortunately a lot of
- 4:20Speaker 3: times in a black community when I used to be
- 4:21Speaker 3: an insurance I used to be in the world of insurance.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Oh, women were getting in short, more more than men.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Women women, Black women were getting life insurance at higher
- 4:34Speaker 3: rates than black men.
- 4:36Speaker 4: That's disturbing. So it's like, if we're gonna.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Lead, you gotta you have to you got to actually lead, right,
- 4:45Speaker 3: So set an example, Set an example, and now everybody
- 4:49Speaker 3: can participate in it. But it has to start somewhere.
- 4:53Speaker 3: So we did the millionaire in March. We did the
- 4:55Speaker 3: millionaire in March. That was great.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Let's have a new million men, let's have a million.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Million policy march. Yeah, your policy, yes, because that's what's
- 5:04Speaker 2: going to end. Shout to the minister and right, but
- 5:08Speaker 2: that coverage is important.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Challenges y'all want to do all these challenges. Why aren't
- 5:14Speaker 3: you challenge let's start. Let's start that challenge. Let's start
- 5:18Speaker 3: that challenge. Let's start the life insurance challenge. Let's start
- 5:21Speaker 3: the life insurance challenge.
- 5:22Speaker 2: And like I said, the term is not even a lot, bro,
- 5:25Speaker 2: I'm not even gonna lot. Even if you get a
- 5:27Speaker 2: two hundred, like a million is great. But for the
- 5:29Speaker 2: person I can't afford that. You can get a two
- 5:32Speaker 2: hundred and fifty thousand dollars policy for little or nothing
- 5:35Speaker 2: forty bucks, right, And that's that's if you happen to
- 5:39Speaker 2: all messed up, like.
- 5:40Speaker 3: And it's like it's like it's like anything if we
- 5:42Speaker 3: have a if we have a thing amongst men, it's like, look,
- 5:45Speaker 3: the goal is to lose fifty pounds, that's the bar.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Everybody might not lose fifty pounds. Some people physically can't
- 5:50Speaker 3: lose fifty pounds. But you might lose ten. So it's
- 5:54Speaker 3: like if you have a goal of say, okay, everybody,
- 5:56Speaker 3: my goal is a million dollars life insurance, no matter
- 5:59Speaker 3: where you for even if you fall a little bit
- 6:01Speaker 3: short of that, or even so, it's still more than
- 6:04Speaker 3: you had. So even if, even if it's not six
- 6:07Speaker 3: trillion that gets transferred, well, what if one trillion? What
- 6:10Speaker 3: if one trillion? What if one trillion not billion trillion?
- 6:15Speaker 3: What if what if one trillion dollars gets transferred from
- 6:19Speaker 3: black from this generation, this generation, this generation of black men.
- 6:26Speaker 3: What if this generation of black men transfers one trillion
- 6:30Speaker 3: dollars in tax free by the way, high insurance is
- 6:34Speaker 3: tax free, tax free assets to the next generation. That's
- 6:38Speaker 3: that's something that's actually that can happen. This isn't like
- 6:41Speaker 3: a sophisticated we don't have to have an economic form.
- 6:44Speaker 3: We don't got to have you don't got to work
- 6:45Speaker 3: for certain prices. Right, this is something that's a realistic
- 6:49Speaker 3: we're laying We're laying out a simple, realistic economic plan
- 6:55Speaker 3: that can actually add one trillion dollars to the black
- 6:58Speaker 3: ecosystem over the next thirty or forty years.
- 7:02Speaker 4: That actually, this actually can happen.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Yeah, life changing. M yeah, it is life changing.
- 7:08Speaker 2: And the level of uh not not that you want
- 7:12Speaker 2: to think, you know, because I know some people like, well,
- 7:14Speaker 2: I want my family to be worried about.
- 7:16Speaker 1: It if I hire him, try and kill me. It's like,
- 7:18Speaker 1: it's not that.
- 7:19Speaker 2: But often you leave too much debt behind and then
- 7:22Speaker 2: they're struggling. It's a great feeling to know that stuff
- 7:25Speaker 2: is going to be just as a man, to know
- 7:26Speaker 2: that that's going to be covered and life is going
- 7:28Speaker 2: to be great for them even if you're not there.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Not that money is everything, but it does take some
- 7:35Speaker 2: pressure off, especially with inflation going up the way that
- 7:37Speaker 2: they're pushing it up as a result of all the
- 7:39Speaker 2: spending that's been happening over the last year and a
- 7:41Speaker 2: half two years. So yeah, I think this is a
- 7:45Speaker 2: great challenge for sure.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Get covered.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Please, please get yourself covered please. Ah okay, okay, Griselda,
- 7:59Speaker 3: Oh no, yeah, let's talk about Griselda. Let's let's show
- 8:01Speaker 3: this clip please.
- 8:07Speaker 5: The main reasons why they was the split in Griselda
- 8:10Speaker 5: is because Westside Gun didn't want to give Bennie and
- 8:13Speaker 5: Conway five percent of Griselda, so ten percent and let
- 8:15Speaker 5: them split ten percent, which is something that jay Z
- 8:17Speaker 5: had suggested in a meeting with them, which to me
- 8:20Speaker 5: was shocking.
- 8:20Speaker 6: As far as what jay Z told him to give
- 8:22Speaker 6: them each five percent of a company, I feel like
- 8:25Speaker 6: that that wasn't considered at the moment. There's better longevity
- 8:28Speaker 6: and collaboration and situations like this as opposed to keeping
- 8:32Speaker 6: everything to yourself.
- 8:35Speaker 3: So allegedly, what happens if you if you're a hip
- 8:37Speaker 3: hop fan, you know Griselda, Buffalo, Uh, west Side Gun,
- 8:44Speaker 3: Conway the Machine, Bennie the Butcher, They're all related. I
- 8:48Speaker 3: think I think I think west Side and Conway are
- 8:54Speaker 3: actually brothers, and I think Benni is the cousin. But
- 8:58Speaker 3: they all related. They're family members and they come from Buffalo.
- 9:02Speaker 3: So apparently the group is split, and what they're saying
- 9:07Speaker 3: is the reason why it is split is because jay Z.
- 9:12Speaker 3: So maybe when Drake said y'all run the hole for advice,
- 9:14Speaker 3: maybe he wasn't totally wrong with that assessment. What apparently
- 9:18Speaker 3: they had the dinner and jay Z told west Side
- 9:21Speaker 3: Gun ten equity to Conway and being a Bush is
- 9:26Speaker 3: nothing to keep morale, and apparently I don't, So I
- 9:31Speaker 3: don't know the details of this.
- 9:32Speaker 4: I'm not sure if it's true.
- 9:33Speaker 1: It's not. No, no, but.
- 9:36Speaker 4: That's the room, and that's out there right now. You know.
- 9:41Speaker 3: It's unfortunate situation because I hate to see groups breakup,
- 9:44Speaker 3: and it's almost inevitable.
- 9:45Speaker 4: It seems like at this point, who hasn't broken up?
- 9:48Speaker 3: I mean, you got the Rockefeller breakup, you got the
- 9:51Speaker 3: Dipset breakup, you got the Griselda breakup, you got the
- 9:56Speaker 3: NWA breakup, the West Side Connection breakup, the doll Pound
- 10:00Speaker 3: breaker I see one.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Yeah, As and Snoop and their their cousins.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Actually yeah, except for the Locks.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Yeah, lot locks still together.
- 10:11Speaker 3: The locks is the only exception to the rule. But
- 10:15Speaker 3: every everybody breaks up. It's just it's inevitable. All these
- 10:17Speaker 3: all these people break up. It's unfortunate. It's unfortunate because
- 10:25Speaker 3: I really feel like, yeah, their brothers actually, which is
- 10:28Speaker 3: even more crazy. I just like I like the whole thing.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I like the I like the RESULTA thing. Ben Bennie
- 10:34Speaker 3: the Butcher is my favorite out of the three.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Mine too shot to Benny, but yeah.
- 10:41Speaker 4: I like the whole Upstate New York thing. I like
- 10:43Speaker 4: to thirty eight Special.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I like.
- 10:48Speaker 3: What's the kid from Syracuse, the light skin dude with
- 10:54Speaker 3: the braids cool. I'll be from Jersey, right, No, no, no, no,
- 10:59Speaker 3: he's from Jersey. No, the other one, the other one put.
- 11:03Speaker 1: It in chet.
- 11:04Speaker 3: I'm not having to bring forard man.
- 11:08Speaker 4: What is his name?
- 11:10Speaker 3: From Syracuse. He's part of that whole upstate movement. He's
- 11:13Speaker 3: with west Side, got stove, got stove, got tough yeh yeah, stove.
- 11:18Speaker 4: God.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I know he was from Sealcuse.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Okay, And I like it too because they're all from
- 11:22Speaker 4: different parts.
- 11:23Speaker 3: He's from Syracuse, thirty eight specialist from Rochester, and Griselda
- 11:28Speaker 3: they're from Buffalo. They kind of hit all of the
- 11:31Speaker 3: upstate New York corners. They just need somebody from Albany.
- 11:36Speaker 4: At this point.
- 11:37Speaker 3: But okay, from a business standpoint, what do you think
- 11:43Speaker 3: about this.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Especially in that industry.
- 11:49Speaker 2: The industry is so predatory that often we want to
- 11:54Speaker 2: end up being the predator and not the pray.
- 11:56Speaker 1: And I think this is a selfish move.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Him. I don't know their brother personally shot themal who
- 12:03Speaker 2: also brought this up. I know he had clap back
- 12:06Speaker 2: and said mal cloud chasing. But then you go on
- 12:09Speaker 2: to brag about spending a million dollars in Louis the time,
- 12:13Speaker 2: who don't give a fuck about you at all. That's
- 12:17Speaker 2: not a flex like respectfully, to spend a million with
- 12:22Speaker 2: a brand who does not like you know about you,
- 12:26Speaker 2: won't endorse you, wwe wouldn't adorse you, and then you
- 12:29Speaker 2: won't give your.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Relatives five percent.
- 12:32Speaker 2: And if we're gonna be honest, if you just raise
- 12:35Speaker 2: the prices up on everything that you offered ten percent,
- 12:37Speaker 2: it all offset the five percent equity that you was
- 12:39Speaker 2: given away.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I hate it. I hate it. But also this is
- 12:44Speaker 1: why investing and knowing business is so important.
- 12:48Speaker 2: So the little crumbs that they would have got off
- 12:50Speaker 2: the five percent split, they'd make that shit in the
- 12:52Speaker 2: market and be a Okay, I think there's a lot
- 12:55Speaker 2: more power. Going back to the next thing, there's a
- 12:57Speaker 2: lot more power in having a bus, your dope ass
- 13:00Speaker 2: people on a squad and it running forever. Then you
- 13:04Speaker 2: trying to do everything on your own. Vince McMahon trot
- 13:08Speaker 2: that model. It did not work long term, right, and
- 13:10Speaker 2: then he got his company snatched from him by Hunter,
- 13:14Speaker 2: who he could have gave equity to but didn't want to,
- 13:17Speaker 2: so he wouldn't have got his daughter and then got
- 13:19Speaker 2: the equity.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Whoever you rob at some point ends up robbing you.
- 13:24Speaker 2: That's why I like to just do business a good way,
- 13:27Speaker 2: pay a premium, split things properly, and if you mess up,
- 13:32Speaker 2: so be it. But I think we have to get
- 13:34Speaker 2: out of this mind state that we have to own everything,
- 13:38Speaker 2: give no opportunity and that it's the only way.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:43Speaker 2: So especially if there's value there, they have value on
- 13:47Speaker 2: their own. It's not like Benny's sitting around not doing anything.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Conway's not sitting around doing anything. And also Jay has
- 13:54Speaker 2: the hindsight of saying and looking him like, I've been
- 13:58Speaker 2: down this road before, I know how this goes. And
- 14:01Speaker 2: now if he told him to give up fifty, I
- 14:04Speaker 2: would understand.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I think it's absolutely selfish. What do you think?
- 14:14Speaker 3: But yeah, let's look at it from two different perspectives,
- 14:17Speaker 3: from a business case study standpoint. Westside Gun started Griselda.
- 14:21Speaker 3: You know, Griselda was a fashion brand at first. That's
- 14:24Speaker 3: why it's called the Fashion Rebels Griselda Fashion rebels because
- 14:28Speaker 3: that it started as a fashion.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Brand that he started.
- 14:32Speaker 3: He's the pioneers, he took the risk, he had the vision.
- 14:37Speaker 4: He's the risud of this whole situation. He put it together.
- 14:42Speaker 3: So talent is not necessarily obligated to have equity. They're
- 14:51Speaker 3: not obligated to have equity. Now we could, we could,
- 14:54Speaker 3: We can debate. It's good business, it makes sense. I'm
- 15:01Speaker 3: I agree with you on this, and you can argue
- 15:04Speaker 3: they're harder than him.
- 15:08Speaker 2: You can argue it. Sometimes you can lose your talent.
- 15:11Speaker 2: I say it with Belichick. Everybody said I was crazy
- 15:14Speaker 2: without Tomas. That shit looks different on the field. Sometimes
- 15:21Speaker 2: you can lose, even with yourg Simon, hold your head.
- 15:25Speaker 2: How he handled Snoop was wrong and he got lucky
- 15:28Speaker 2: that he wouldn't have got Tupac. You're not always going
- 15:31Speaker 2: to be able to replace talent, and it's better to
- 15:35Speaker 2: keep all that talent in house.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Like when Apple got rid.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Of the Lisa or the Apple Too, they didn't just
- 15:42Speaker 2: discard the IP, they kept the rights to it. So
- 15:46Speaker 2: I think there's ways to work it out where even
- 15:48Speaker 2: if you are talent, to still keep them under that umbrella,
- 15:51Speaker 2: but incentivize them or have a certain deal structure where
- 15:56Speaker 2: equity or royalties can be earned, apposed to just being
- 15:59Speaker 2: like we'll get out, you mean nothing because your town
- 16:01Speaker 2: underneath me.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, not for sure.
- 16:04Speaker 3: And then, like I always say me personally, every day,
- 16:10Speaker 3: I try to figure out how to make somebody else
- 16:14Speaker 3: money the.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Win, what's the win, win, and get fifty of them.
- 16:19Speaker 3: That's my goal. And it's this new spin off. There's
- 16:22Speaker 3: always new opportunity.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I mean.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Us, we you we just got into two new companies
- 16:30Speaker 4: this week. No, but I'm just saying.
- 16:34Speaker 3: As far as like damn cash No, but that's important,
- 16:39Speaker 3: right because you gotta It's if you're not if you're
- 16:43Speaker 3: not innovating, you're declining for sure. And the only way
- 16:48Speaker 3: you could fully innovate is to see how can I
- 16:52Speaker 3: network relationship, this whole relationship.
- 16:55Speaker 1: You turn the trump you can't hold water.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Bro Well, I didn't say, I didn't say, yeah.
- 17:00Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. So it's like you gotta
- 17:05Speaker 4: figure out.
- 17:06Speaker 2: A way to take care of everyone, and you know
- 17:08Speaker 2: who does it the best. I hate Lucian with the
- 17:11Speaker 2: exception of what he went through with Drake. After him
- 17:14Speaker 2: and Drake start getting into it, he went and find
- 17:16Speaker 2: a way to go find deals.
- 17:18Speaker 1: In partnerships with everybody.
- 17:20Speaker 2: In um G Son included. Let me go place you
- 17:24Speaker 2: with this fashion house. Let me take you to this
- 17:26Speaker 2: tech company. Mm hmmm, find a way. And I'm gonna
- 17:32Speaker 2: be honest because I like to brother and I think
- 17:35Speaker 2: he's a creative genius in his own right. But you
- 17:38Speaker 2: don't have to rob in order to get rich. That's
- 17:40Speaker 2: some street mentality pullshit. You should have been gave been
- 17:44Speaker 2: in his own situation. Cool, because that's all umg is
- 17:48Speaker 2: gonna do. Give conaway his own situation, make a derivative
- 17:53Speaker 2: fashion house, make a dah dah d this and just
- 17:57Speaker 2: joint venture with him along the way and Dame was
- 18:00Speaker 2: Rocker World is a great example. The Armadale. Even you
- 18:02Speaker 2: can argue if the liquor is good or not, but
- 18:04Speaker 2: the joint venture is there. That's that's a better way. Hey,
- 18:07Speaker 2: create a product created line credit company. Let's figure something else.
- 18:12Speaker 2: The Devil advocate. If they signed to death Cham directly,
- 18:18Speaker 2: would they be asking Universal for for equity. I've never
- 18:22Speaker 2: heard that request being made before. But you signed black
- 18:26Speaker 2: but you signed to the black Man. Oh my god.
- 18:28Speaker 1: No.
- 18:29Speaker 3: We gotta have this conversation though, right because when you
- 18:32Speaker 3: signed to the black Man, you automatically look at it differently.
- 18:36Speaker 3: You look at it like your old equity. You should
- 18:39Speaker 3: be giving me a percentage of your company. I've never
- 18:42Speaker 3: heard an artist acts Universal Records for a percentage of their.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Company that the fucking lawsuit was about.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Well, okay, Drake, I don't know his situation, but I'm

- 19:15Speaker 3: It's there a different expectation when it's the homie, when

- 19:55Speaker 2: for the ride, to help me build, because I can't

- 20:00Speaker 2: this is time to bust down any money, and I'm
- 20:03Speaker 2: speaking from experience from because I'll bust down the money
- 20:07Speaker 2: anybody whoever fell out with me that was paid on
- 20:09Speaker 2: the fallout prior to but they'll say, oh, me and
- 20:15Speaker 2: you were a team. We got this together, the fifty
