Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Right time to hear to Europe in the UK and
- 0:01Speaker 1: joining me now is Gavin greg Good morning, Gavin.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Hi there, Francesca, good to talk to you.
- 0:06Speaker 1: We've seen a bit of chaos at major European airports.
- 0:10Speaker 1: What's with the cyber ticket?
- 0:13Speaker 2: Yeah, well I think look, if anyone from New Zealand
- 0:16Speaker 2: knows anyone is flying in and out of major European
- 0:19Speaker 2: hubs that just need to check break carefully with the
- 0:21Speaker 2: airlines about delays, particularly leaving. That is because it's a
- 0:25Speaker 2: system that basically operates the online check in and also
- 0:31Speaker 2: some of the luggage computer programs are said to be
- 0:35Speaker 2: at risk. So the main airports are Brussels, Berlin, Dublin
- 0:40Speaker 2: and also Heathrow, Heathrow of course being the UK's biggest airport.
- 0:44Speaker 2: It's thought is cyber attack has knocked out the check
- 0:47Speaker 2: in and baggage systems. They are run by a software
- 0:50Speaker 2: provider called Collins Aerospace, and lots of airlines have them
- 0:53Speaker 2: so they don't have to have their own system, as
- 0:56Speaker 2: it were, so they use their system, and that would
- 0:59Speaker 2: appear it's software allowing different airlines to use the same
- 1:02Speaker 2: check in desks and boarding gates at an airport. Has
- 1:06Speaker 2: been affected. Now we don't yet know definitely that it's
- 1:09Speaker 2: a cyber attack, that it's a hack, but we do
- 1:12Speaker 2: know that things are going wrong and many airlines are
- 1:14Speaker 2: having to use paper and pen manual check in and boarding,
- 1:18Speaker 2: and that of course is taking much longer. I think
- 1:21Speaker 2: some of the biggest problems now because Heco seems to
- 1:24Speaker 2: be getting back not to normal by any means, but
- 1:27Speaker 2: canceling and delaying less flights. Is that at Brussels, it's
- 1:31Speaker 2: thought around half the flights there are going to be
- 1:34Speaker 2: delayed or canceled.
- 1:35Speaker 1: And Gavin, the Duchess of York. Sarah Ferguson is in
- 1:38Speaker 1: the news again. I've just finished reading Andrew Loney's book
- 1:41Speaker 1: entitled and Nothing would surprise me.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Yes, I'm afraid more bad news for the Royals and
- 1:48Speaker 2: even greater connections with Jeffrey Epstein coming back to haunt people.
- 1:52Speaker 2: So in this particular instance, it's been revealed that Sarah
- 1:55Speaker 2: Ferguson in twenty eleven gave an interview in which the
- 2:01Speaker 2: interview asked her about her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. It's
- 2:05Speaker 2: alleged that he gave her roughly forty thousand new Zealand
- 2:08Speaker 2: dollars in order to pay off a debt. Now after
- 2:12Speaker 2: that and sorry. During the interview, she was asked about
- 2:16Speaker 2: her friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, of course, the late sex offender,
- 2:20Speaker 2: and she said, oh, I'm going to have nothing more
- 2:22Speaker 2: to do with him. I apport pediphilia and any sexual
- 2:25Speaker 2: abuse of children. I cannot state more strongly this is
- 2:28Speaker 2: a quote that I know a terrible, terrible eerror of
- 2:31Speaker 2: judgment was made my having anything to do with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 2:35Speaker 2: She says what he did was wrong and which he
- 2:38Speaker 2: was rightly jailed. But it's now been revealed that actually
- 2:42Speaker 2: shortly having after having said she wants nothing to do
- 2:45Speaker 2: with Jeffrey Epstein, guess what she emailed saying he was
- 2:49Speaker 2: a supreme friend.
- 2:51Speaker 1: There we go. Thank you so much, Gavin Gray. That
- 2:53Speaker 1: book and title does actually joint men. Where about the
- 2:54Speaker 1: Duke of the Duchess? A lot of fascinating information in there.
