- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 0:05It seems like every time we turn around, there's another
- 0:09high profile politician or somebody connected to a high profile
- 0:13politician who has ties to Jeffrey Epstein. And today we're
- 0:18going to talk about another one of these people, and
- 0:21that person is Catherine Rumler. Now, Catherine Rumler was the
- 0:27lead council for Barack Obama. So this lady's a lawyer, right, well,
- 0:33she should know that Jeffrey Epstein's a sexual predator and
- 0:36a scumbag. Considering she went to the trial of Glenn Maxwell.
- 0:41You know what she also did. She also had a
- 0:44relationship with Jeffrey Epstein all the way up till at
- 0:47least four months before he was arrested. So chew on
- 0:51that for a little while. This lady who's running around
- 0:54as Barack Obama's council inside of the White House is
- 0:58also breaking bread with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. But
- 1:03there's nothing to see here, right, we should talk about
- 1:06alex Acosta some more. This article is from CNBC and
- 1:11the headline Jeffrey Epstein referred Obama White House counsel to
- 1:15JP Morgan as a potential customer. This article was authored
- 1:20by Eamon Jabers, Don Gil and Dan Mannigan. Sex predator
- 1:27Jeffrey Epstein was involved in establishing a client relationship between
- 1:31Obama White House counsel Catherine Ruemler and JP Morgan Chase
- 1:36in February twenty nineteen, four months before he was arrested
- 1:40on federal child sex trafficking charges, a bombshell court filing
- 1:45revealed Tuesday. Now we talked about Rumler before. What was
- 1:49she doing at Glene Maxwell's trial? Why does this lady
- 1:52have such a vested interest in what's going on with
- 1:55Jeffrey Epstein and Jeffrey Epstein's buddies. And if we had
- 1:59a legacy media that was worth its weight, it would
- 2:02ask these questions.
- 2:03Speaker 2: But it doesn't.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It waits for this stuff to come out in these
- 2:06core documents, even though all of these people, all of
- 2:10these legacy media journalists, knew that this woman had ties
- 2:14to Epstein years ago. But because they can't out their faves,
- 2:19they just keep that shit on the back burner until
- 2:21they can anymore, and then once it comes out, they
- 2:24act like they're breaking the story. Rumler, who is now
- 2:27general counsel for Goldman Sachs was touted by Epstein's personal
- 2:31assistant to JP Morgan as an ideal customer. The filing shows,
- 2:36and you know what's really ridiculous the fact that Donald
- 2:39Trump and all of his band of merry robbers get
- 2:42hit with a RICO charge, but none of these people
- 2:45have ever even sniffed any kind of RICO case. You
- 2:49mean to tell me that all of these folks that
- 2:51were with Epstein, taking money from him, sending him money,
- 2:55having him wash it, engaging in his criminal enterprise, they
- 2:59weren't engaging in an ongoing conspiracy. The RICO statutes were
- 3:03literally put into law to stop criminal enterprises like Jeffrey Epstein's.
- 3:08The fact is he was connected to way too many
- 3:10people that were powerful for that to ever happen. You
- 3:14mean to tell me that there was enough evidence for
- 3:16the USVII to open a SECO case, but not a
- 3:19RICO case.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Stop it.
- 3:21Speaker 1: The whole entire point for everybody involved, it seems like,
- 3:25is to get rich.
- 3:26Speaker 2: That's it.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Not justice, certainly not any repercussions for the dirt bags
- 3:30who were involved. It suggests that JP Morgan take Rumler
- 3:34on as a client, which the bank warmly Embraced came
- 3:38almost six years after JP Morgan said it had effectively
- 3:41fired Epstein as a client after internal controls repeatedly raised
- 3:46red flags about them. So it's all a bunch of bullshit.
- 3:50JP Morgan, their stupid ass narrative, big fat lie USVII.
- 3:55Their narrative, A big fat lie Rumler her narrative, A
- 3:59big fat lie lie. You see where I'm going with this.
- 4:02Everybody involved, they're all liars. And while Trump was president,
- 4:06we heard from a lot of people who had a
- 4:08lot to say about holding politicians accountable. Well, now that
- 4:12the shoes on the other foot, I'm hearing a whole
- 4:14lot of silence from those very people. You know what
- 4:17that's called, folks, That's called hypocrisy. And anybody out here
- 4:21carrying water for any politician, no matter what letters next
- 4:25to their name, who was paling around with Epstein is
- 4:29part of the problem. End came five months before Epstein
- 4:32killed himself allegedly in August twenty nineteen in a Manhattan
- 4:36federal jail where he was being held without bail pending trial.
- 4:41And it's also funny to me that all these knuckleheads
- 4:44out here, they'll talk about the government is crooked here.
- 4:47The government is involved in all kinds of cover ups there.
- 4:51But when it comes to Epstein, Oh no, no, he
- 4:54killed himself. Didn't you read the OIG report? Yeah, I
- 4:57read it, and there was a bunch of apps ste garbage. Okay,
- 5:01that's what it was. We waited over four years for
- 5:05the OIG report and for the Inspector General to tell
- 5:09us that there were systemic issues within the Bureau of
- 5:12Prisons and within the DOJ, like we didn't know that.
- 5:15Already nobody was held accountable, nobody went to prison, even
- 5:19those guards got off with a slap on the wrist.
- 5:23So what exactly happened in the wake of that OIG report?
- 5:26Speaker 2: Nothing?
- 5:27Speaker 1: Okay, that OIG report was put out to help further
- 5:31the narrative that the government's been pitching this whole entire time,
- 5:34and that is it was all just a big, gigantic
- 5:37mistake and everything was a coincidence. And if you believe
- 5:40anything else, you're a conspiracy theorist. And the gas lighting continues.
- 5:46Rumler declined to comment through a Goldman SAX spokesman. So
- 5:50why was she hanging out with this dude after he
- 5:53was already a convicted sex offender, and how come nobody
- 5:56is calling for her head. So we're all of those
- 5:59loud mouths that were just yapping and yapping and yapping
- 6:02about a cost a NonStop. But now that we got
- 6:05some meat on the bone here, and the meat on
- 6:07the bone is some of their faves. All these people,
- 6:11all of a sudden, well they have other things to
- 6:13talk about. Huh, all of a sudden, it's not so
- 6:16much fun to talk about Epstein anymore, and to try
- 6:19to politicize it, you know why, here's some breaking news. Okay,
- 6:23both sides were in on it. None of your politicians
- 6:26care about you. And all the bullshit that you see
- 6:29on a daily basis, all the fighting, all the arguing,
- 6:32the majority of it is over artificially created wedge issues
- 6:37that they have created to keep you busy, so you
- 6:40don't realize that your whole entire life is being pilfered
- 6:43by them. But go on with your bad selves and
- 6:45keep arguing whose shit smells better? Because the sad truth
- 6:49is both of those political parties, that's all they're offering
- 6:52us shit, and the sad part is people continue to
- 6:55lap it up by the metric ton CNBC separately em
- 7:00elder to ask her how she knew Epstein and what
- 7:03knowledge she had of his history of being convicted in
- 7:06two thousand and eight of a sex crime in Florida.
- 7:09So you mean to tell me that a lawyer who
- 7:11was the head counsel at the White House has no
- 7:14idea that Epstein was a sex predator. She had no idea. Huh.
- 7:18We have to call and get confirmation about that. If
- 7:20you had a newspaper or a TV after two thousand
- 7:24and eight, I don't want to hear shit about you
- 7:26had no idea who Epstein was. You knew, you didn't care.
- 7:31The Manhattan Federal Court filing detailing or connection to Epstein
- 7:35was filed by the government of the US Virgin Islands,
- 7:38which is suing JP Morgan. The American territory alleges that
- 7:43JP Morgan enabled and benefited from epstein sex trafficking of
- 7:47young women to the Virgin Islands, where he had a
- 7:50home during the years he maintained accounts at the bank
- 7:54from nineteen ninety eight through twenty thirteen. JP Morgan denies
- 7:58any wrongdoing in the case, where the Territory is seeking
- 8:02at least one hundred and ninety million dollars in damages.
- 8:06Imagine trying to get one hundred and ninety million dollars
- 8:09for some shit you were complicit in as well. Must
- 8:12be nice. I wish I could double dip on both ends.
- 8:16The bank last month agreed to settle a similar lawsuit
- 8:19in the same court by an Epstein accuser, paying two
- 8:22hundred and ninety million dollars to her and other Epstein survivors.
- 8:27The case is scheduled to go to trial in late October.
- 8:31Even after his exit, right up until his arrest in
- 8:33twenty nineteen, JP Morgan continued to work with Epstein, the
- 8:38Virgin Island said in a filing. The filing says that
- 8:41JP Morgan admits Epstein was involved in the establishment of
- 8:45a customer relationship with Catherine Ruemler, who was the longest
- 8:49serving White House General Counsel under former President Barack Obama.
- 8:54I wonder how many drone strikes this lady, okayed. I
- 8:58wonder if she's the one who gave the go ahead
- 9:00to use drone strikes on American citizens without due process.
- 9:04Probably a pretty decent question to ask, no. The filing
- 9:08says that in February twenty nineteen, Epstein's assistant Leslie Groff
- 9:13offered to introduce Mary Erdos, a top JP Morgan executive,
- 9:17too Roomler, because she wanted to open an account with
- 9:21JP Morgan and Epstein thought the two of them would bond.
- 9:25Erdos escalated the referral to Stacy Friedman, JP Morgan's general counsel,
- 9:30who responded, she is a rock star litigator at Latham.
- 9:34I would think she would be a great client, the
- 9:36Virgin Islands said in its filing. So she's a rock
- 9:39star general council and a star litigator at Latham, but
- 9:44she has no idea that Jeffrey Epstein is a sex predator.
- 9:48That's what they want you to believe. As you all know,
- 9:52I'm certainly not some highly educated Ivy league jerkoff. I
- 9:56do know that two plus two equals four. Even teach
- 10:00that in the public school system in Clark County. So
- 10:04all this other bullshit that they're talking about, Oh, I
- 10:06had no idea. I didn't know what he was up to.
- 10:10Just miss me with all of it. I don't believe you.
- 10:12Let me go on the record right here, Okay, all
- 10:14those people who say that they are all lying. That
- 10:18is how I feel, and any of them that don't
- 10:20like what I have to say, well, they know where
- 10:22to find me. Rumler at the time worked at the
- 10:26law firm Latham and Watkins. In twenty twenty, she joined
- 10:31Goldman Sachs as a partner and now is Goldman's chief
- 10:34Legal Officer and general counsel. The filing also said that
- 10:39Epstein at one time referred as a potential JP Morgan
- 10:43client Nicholas Rabisi, a gaming advisor who for decades ran
- 10:48casinos for former President Donald Trump. And all the nonsense
- 10:52about how Trump had nothing to do with Epstein and
- 10:54Trump didn't even really know him, that's all bullshit too.
- 10:57Trump and Epstein were rolling together for quite some time.
- 11:00They had a falling out, and a lot of people
- 11:03say that falling out had to do with underage girls
- 11:06being pilfered from mar A Lago. We know that Virginia
- 11:09Roberts was found there and that's why Donald Trump allegedly
- 11:13tossed Jeffrey Epstein from the property. But what about the
- 11:16times leading up to that point. There is no denying
- 11:19that leading up to their falling out that Trump and
- 11:22Epstein were boys. They most certainly were. Now, just like
- 11:26I say with Clinton, nobody has come forward and said
- 11:29that Trump was involved in abusing girls with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 11:33And I honestly find it laughable as hell when people
- 11:36try and set Donald Trump up as some kind of
- 11:39great warrior against human trafficking. Give me a break, dude.
- 11:43This guy was running these stupid ass modeling pageants and
- 11:45all the rest of that nonsense for how long. And
- 11:48we all know about the modeling industry. We all know
- 11:50about Gerald Marie, we all know about Jean Luke Brunel,
- 11:54and we all know Trump was involved in that world too.
- 11:57So look, all of these people that everybody want to
- 11:59put up on these pedestals as heroes, as people who
- 12:02really care about you, they're crusading for you.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Again.
- 12:06Speaker 1: They are not not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama, not
- 12:10Bill Clinton. None of them care about you. They care
- 12:13about wealth and power, and they will say and do
- 12:16anything to attain it. Rebis did not immediately respond to
- 12:20requests for comment. JP Morgan claims in court filings that
- 12:25the Virgin Islands was itself complicit in the crimes of
- 12:28Jeffrey Epstein, arguing that he gave high ranking government officials money,
- 12:33advice and favors in exchange for looking the other way
- 12:36when he traffied young women. Well, yeah, that's a fact, certainly,
- 12:41something we've talked about here now literally four years and
- 12:45not for nothing. But I told you this second that
- 12:47that SICCO suit was put into effect, that this was
- 12:50all a cash grab, and that the US Virgin Islands
- 12:53was just as complicit as JP Morgan, if not more so.
- 12:58They had subpoena power. They were the ones running the
- 13:01whole island, So why didn't they stop Jeffrey Epstein. JP
- 13:05Morgan also argues that its former executive Jess Daly, who
- 13:09was friends with Epstein when he was a client of
- 13:11the bank, is responsible for any civil liability of the
- 13:15bank due to its business relationship with the sex offender.
- 13:19On Tuesday, newly unsealed court filings by the bank show
- 13:23that Epstein was asked by former US Virgin Islands Governor
- 13:28John Dejeong Junior for a loan of two hundred and
- 13:30fifteen thousand dollars after DeJong was arrested on embezzlement charges
- 13:35that were later dismissed. Epstein's company also paid Djong's wife, Cecil,
- 13:41a three hundred thousand dollars lump sum severance payment after
- 13:45Epstein killed himself in a federal jail allegedly while awaiting
- 13:49trial on child sex trafficking charges in August twenty nineteen.
- 13:54Speaker 2: J P.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Morgan documents say she had worked for Epstein at his
- 13:58Southern Trust company. No nothing to see here, folks. The
- 14:02governor of the island, Okay, John Dejeong Junior, asked for
- 14:06a two hundred and fifteen thousand dollars loan because he
- 14:08got nailed for embezzlement. Also, on top of that, his
- 14:12wife was working with Epstein and trying to manipulate the
- 14:16sex registry laws on the island. But there's nothing to
- 14:20see here. Everything's fine down in the Virgin Islands. Give
- 14:23them some more money. The documents also say that another
- 14:27Epstein employee who work for him in the Virgin Islands
- 14:31was granted a US Customs and Border Protection security seal
- 14:35which allowed that worker to escort passengers through customs screening areas.
- 14:40And I wonder why they would need that. Oh that's
- 14:42right to bring underage girls through, to bring girls through
- 14:46without passports, you know, the whole nine. So it was
- 14:50JP Morgan's fault that that was happening too, or did
- 14:53the US Virgin Islands have something to do with that.
- 14:56And again, I don't know how none of these survivors
- 14:59have filed the law lawsuit yet against the US Virgin Islands.
- 15:02If it was me, it would have been done yesterday.
- 15:06I'd be shown up there with a team of lawyers
- 15:08and I'd be demanding my share of the settlement that
- 15:11they've already got. Several times over. The Bank in other
- 15:16core filings, has said that Epstein paid for the school
- 15:19tuitions of the children of the Dujongs, and that Cecil
- 15:23had made efforts to obtain student visas and a work
- 15:26license for young women connected to Epstein. A spokesman for
- 15:31the Virgin Islands Attorney General's office told CNBC that Epstein's
- 15:35loan of former Governor DeJong occurred after he left office
- 15:39in twenty fifteen. The charges against DeJong were dropped in
- 15:44early twenty sixteen by the Virgin Islands Department of Justice
- 15:48after he agreed to a separate monetary settlement. So down
- 15:52in the Virgin Islands, you can do whatever you want
- 15:54if you have a bag. That's what they're telling us.
- 15:57Leon Black. You can pay your way out sixty two
- 15:59and a half million Epstein, you want your state out. Cool,
- 16:03We want one hundred and five million. And it goes
- 16:05on and on and on with no arrests, nobody going
- 16:08to prison, and certainly no motherfucking Rico case. CNBC has
- 16:13reached out to comment from John DeJong via an asset
- 16:17management company where he is the director. The Virgin Island
- 16:21spokesman has also said that it was the federal government
- 16:25and not the Virgin Islands government that granted the US
- 16:29Customs and Border Protections security seal. Oh yeah again. The
- 16:34Virgin Islands is just a big victim here. They had
- 16:37no idea what was going on, and this dude was
- 16:40just running amok on the island with none of the
- 16:42politicians aware of what was cracking off. The Virgin Islands
- 16:47has said that JP Morgan's leadership kept Epstein as a
- 16:50client for years, despite multiple warnings about him being raised
- 16:54internally at the bank, which included payments to young women
- 16:58and a two thousand and eight sex crime conviction in
- 17:01Florida which led to a jail term. In its new
- 17:05court filing on Tuesday, the Virgin Island cited a July
- 17:09twenty eleven email between Epstein and Erdos after JP Morgan's
- 17:13rapid response team decided that Epstein should be off boarded
- 17:18as a client, and after JP Morgan's general counsel told
- 17:21Erdos that Epstein was not a person we should do
- 17:24business with period, Airdos in Epstein emailed after he and
- 17:29the bank agreed to settle his lawsuit against JP Morgan
- 17:32related to money he said he was owned by bear Stearns,
- 17:36the investment bank taken over by JP Morgan. On July
- 17:40twenty six, twenty eleven, Epstein wrote to Erdos, let's move
- 17:45on and make some real money. The filing said air
- 17:48Dose responded onwards and upwards on so many fronts. The
- 17:52filing said Epstein was not severed as a JP Morgan
- 17:56client for another two years. The New Virgin Islands filings
- 18:00said that Staley, in his deposition for the lawsuit, disclosed
- 18:04the names of people and companies at Epstein had referred
- 18:07to the bank as potential clients. An unsealed portion of
- 18:11Staley's deposition was made public on Tuesday. Among the high
- 18:16powered names listed in the court filing are Google co
- 18:19founder Sergey Brinn, Sultan Akhmad bin Suliman of Dubai, former
- 18:25Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, former Treasury Department secretary Larry Summers,
- 18:30and television journalist Katie Kirk. And there it is Charlie Rose,
- 18:36Katie Kirk, George Stephanopolis. And you wonder why this story
- 18:40was never really told? You wonder why a dumbass like
- 18:43me has to talk about this story every day? That's
- 18:47because your legacy media, the same people that are hyping
- 18:50you up to hate your neighbor, they refuse to cover
- 18:53this story because guess what, some of their faves might
- 18:57have been caught up. And those are just the facts, Okay,
- 19:00those are the facts. People like Katie Kurk, Charlie Rose,
- 19:04George Stepanopolis, the dickheads at ABC, they were more interested
- 19:09in making sure that they maintain their access to people
- 19:11like the Royals than they were about telling the story
- 19:15of the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein. And for me, anyway,
- 19:19I will never forget or forgive the dishonesty that the
- 19:22legacy media has shown throughout this whole entire thing. And
- 19:26just keep in mind, if they lie to you about this,
- 19:29what else will they lie to you about? And what
- 19:31else are they lying to you about? Right now? Staley,
- 19:35who had been head of the bank's asset and wealth
- 19:37management divisions, testified that he met all those people at
- 19:41Epstein's townhouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The
- 19:46deposition also shows that Staley said that he had spoken
- 19:49to JP Morgan CEO Jamie Diamond in two thousand and six,
- 19:53when Epstein was arrested on Florida state charges of procuring
- 19:57a minor for prostitution and so elicitation of a prostitute.
- 20:02JP Morgan has denied that claim. Staley admits that in
- 20:06two thousand and six, Jamie Diamond communicated with him regarding
- 20:10Epstein's arrest, the Virgin Island said in the court filing.
- 20:14Staley also testified that on or about July twenty six,
- 20:18two thousand and six, he spoke to Diamond about Epstein's
- 20:21indictment because Diamond was his boss, and the indictment of Epstein,
- 20:25a client of the bank, was a very, very public event,
- 20:29and that makes sense to me. I've been a manager before,
- 20:33I've had to come and talk to my boss about
- 20:35shit that went wrong, So why would we think that
- 20:38the same wouldn't hold true for Jess Staley and Jamie Diamon.
- 20:42Elsewhere in the deposition, Staley answered questions about going to
- 20:46see Epstein after an article was published in two thousand
- 20:49and six that said Jeffrey Epstein crave big homes, elite friends,
- 20:54and investigators say underage girls. The article also stated that
- 20:59two of Epstein's former employees told investigators that young looking
- 21:03girls showed up to perform massages two or three times
- 21:07a day when Epstein was in town. The Virgin Islands
- 21:10filing said on July twenty fifth, two thousand and six,
- 21:14Staley met with Epstein in person at Epstein's home. In
- 21:18that visit, Epstein admitted to the alleged conduct of engaging
- 21:22in sex for money with young women, only denying the ages.
- 21:27Staley afterward wrote Urdos, I went and saw him last night.
- 21:31I've never seen him so shaken. He also adamantly denies
- 21:34the ages, Staley wrote Urdos. The filing notes in his deposition,
- 21:40Staley was asked the conduct that he was being accused of.
- 21:44He was admitting that he did. He was just denying
- 21:47that he knew the ages of the victims, right, Staley replied, correct,
- 21:52And you were reporting that back to the bank and
- 21:54that was being denied. Is the ages right? A lawyer
- 21:58for the Virgin Island, said, Staley said, right. He then
- 22:02conceded that the bank knew that Epstein had admitted to
- 22:05engaging in sex for money with young women while denying
- 22:09they were under age. The lawyer then asked, and so
- 22:13when the bank is receiving that information, they now know
- 22:17what you know, which is this is the type of
- 22:19conduct that our client is engaging in, and the only
- 22:23dispute that he has about the allegations are the ages
- 22:27of the victims. Right, Staley replied, that's correct. So what's
- 22:31the moral of the story here. The moral of the
- 22:34story is this, they all knew, they were all in
- 22:37on it, and it doesn't matter what political party they're
- 22:41a part of. All right, folks, that's going to do
- 22:43it for this one. All of the information that goes
- 22:46with this episode can be found in the description box.
- 22:50What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 22:55I don't think there's any debate at this point just
- 22:57how close Jeffrey Epstein was to the Clinton's Yet nobody
- 23:01ever wants to talk about it. It's one of those
- 23:04unfortunate facts for a lot of people. But you know
- 23:08who has talked about the Clinton's involvement with Jeffrey Epstein
- 23:12quite a bit, and it's going to shock some of
- 23:14you out there, and that's the Daily Beast. Now, Kate
- 23:18Bricklett from over at the Daily Beast has talked quite
- 23:21a bit about the Clintons and their involvement with Jeffrey Epstein,
- 23:26and that should be acknowledged because it can't be easy
- 23:29to do over at the Daily Beast, right, certainly not
- 23:32a right wing paper, if you will, not a paper
- 23:35that is known to go after people like Epstein. But
- 23:39guess what, Sometimes the truth matters, and if the truth
- 23:42happens to run over one of your quote unquote political faves,
- 23:47then so what the question you should be asking is
- 23:51why were they involved with these scumbags in the first place?
- 23:55Not how can I rehabilitate their image? Today, we have
- 23:59an article from the Daily Beast and the author is
- 24:03Kate Bricklett.
- 24:04Speaker 2: This article was published.
- 24:07Speaker 1: On November two of twenty twenty, headline what was Clinton
- 24:15White House lawyer doing at Epstein's arraignment? In July twenty nineteen,
- 24:21all eyes were on Jeffrey Epstein as he entered a
- 24:24Manhattan federal courtroom in prison blues and orange sneakers. The reclusive,
- 24:30multimillionaire pedophile used to luxurious johns around the globe with
- 24:34powerful friends, appeared disheveled as he was charged with sexually
- 24:38abusing dozens of underage girls. Boy, has there ever been
- 24:43somebody who deserved that more? Has there ever been a
- 24:46person who's deserved to have to do the perp walk,
- 24:49been brought into jail, brought into prison and embarrassed the
- 24:52way this scumbag was the Only thing that would have
- 24:56been taste here was to see the process through and
- 24:59actually give these girls some justice. Police had arrested the
- 25:05sixty six year old financier pedophile two days before, and
- 25:08the packed crowd of journalists, lawyers, and survivors now watched
- 25:12and plead not guilty to child sex trafficking charges, more
- 25:17than a decade after he avoided serious prison time from
- 25:20molesting scores of teenage survivors at his mansion in Palm Beach,
- 25:24Florida and elsewhere. We know that, But while the press
- 25:28focused on Epstein, one high profile spectator apparently went unnoticed,
- 25:33at least unnoticed by most. Two eyewitnesses say former White
- 25:39House lawyer Catherine Rumler was at Epstein's court appearance that
- 25:43day in his support. The Daily Beast has learned. Now,
- 25:46remember I didn't go and drag this out of a
- 25:50bright bar or whatever the right wing outlets are.
- 25:54Speaker 2: This is the Daily Beast telling you this.
- 25:56Speaker 1: So it's up to you if you want to feign
- 25:59cognitive dissonance and act like you don't know what the
- 26:01Clintons are up to, or do you want to see
- 26:04them be held accountable like everybody else should be. And
- 26:10the question again is why is a lawyer who is
- 26:13working directly with the Clinton Foundation and the Clintons showing
- 26:16up here as support for Jeffrey Epstein? Ask yourselves why
- 26:21that would happen? And then if it was just this,
- 26:23you could say, ah, you know what, maybe they had
- 26:25a professional relationship and she was there as a professional friend.
- 26:29Even that's gross, you can understand, but that's not the case.
- 26:35Why is she there supporting Jeffrey Epstein? Two people who
- 26:41separately attended the hearings, said Rumler, who served as White
- 26:44House counsel during the Clinton and Obama administrations, had a
- 26:48professional relationship with Epstein and was seated behind his defense team.
- 26:53I mean, for real, of all the people you can
- 26:57go and support this is the guy, you go and
- 26:59do it. This is second time around. Now, remember this
- 27:03isn't the first arrest, this is the second time. So
- 27:05anyone who's still supporting him at this point knows what
- 27:08he is, knows who he is, and knows what he is.
- 27:11So what was Catherine Rumler doing there? At the time.
- 27:17Rumler was a partner at Latham and Watkins and global
- 27:21chair of the law firms White Collar Defense and Investigations
- 27:24Practice Epstein Knewer. One source with knowledge told The Daily
- 27:28Beast of her appearance in court on July twenty nineteen,
- 27:33he had a professional relationship with her. I think he
- 27:36may have reached out to her to be involved in
- 27:39the case. The source said. Rumler's appearance was probably just
- 27:43a show of support. Even showing up there is a
- 27:47bad look. Nobody's gonna question Bill Clinton, Why is lawyer's
- 27:50showing up to support Jeffrey Epstein. She worked for a large,
- 27:56prominent firm. The person said. There was some exploration of
- 28:00her joining the defense team, but it wasn't going to happen.
- 28:03Rumler did not return messages seeking comment. A spokeswoman for
- 28:07Latham and Watkins said neither the law firm nor Rumler
- 28:11represented Epstein. She did not return follow up emails from
- 28:15The Daily Beast. Well why would she? What kind of
- 28:18good answer could she possibly give you of why she's
- 28:21there to support Jeffrey Epstein. Martin Weinberg, a lawyer for
- 28:25Epstein since two thousand and eight, said Rumler didn't represent
- 28:29the financier pedophile and wasn't a member of the defense
- 28:32team led by himself and Reid Wingarten. I can state
- 28:36with certainty that Kathy Rumler did not represent mister Epstein
- 28:40and did not appear at any hearing at any time
- 28:43on his behalf, Weinberg said in an email. Rumler has
- 28:48previously represented here you go, the Clinton Foundation and George Nader,
- 28:52a key witness in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation
- 28:57who was sentenced to ten years behind bars for child
- 29:00held sex trafficking. Hmm, interesting connections to the Clinton Foundation.
- 29:05Huh hmm. Now how much money? Can so and refresh
- 29:08my memory? How much money did Jeffrey Epstein pony up
- 29:12for the Clinton Foundation?
- 29:13Speaker 2: Oh?
- 29:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right, a whole lot. She left Latham and
- 29:18Watkins in April to become Global head of Regulatory Affairs
- 29:21at Goldman Sachs. Huh, another fantastic spot to land at.
- 29:26After the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
- 29:29last month, Fox News reported Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden
- 29:34possibly put Rumler on the short list of nominees to
- 29:37fill a future scot His seat.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Why not, Ah, you know what? Bring them all in?
- 29:42Speaker 1: Who cares? It's all about appearances and optics anyway?
- 29:45Speaker 2: Right?
- 29:46Speaker 1: The other sides evil, they're the boogeyman. But these guys
- 29:49are doing the same thing. How many bankers are you
- 29:51gonna have throughout the Biden administration? How many XCIA officials
- 29:57give me a break already? Indeed, Rumler and other Obama
- 30:03era officials hosted a DC event for Biden last November
- 30:08as his fundraising waned before the primaries. According to The
- 30:12Washington Examiner, Rumler told the crowd the twenty twenty election
- 30:15came down to character, and there is no one who
- 30:18has the strength and the quality of character, no other
- 30:22like Joe Biden. Rumler has long traveled the revolving door
- 30:26between public service and Latham and Watkins, whose found nicks
- 30:30of former high ranking government lawyers inspired a Wall Street
- 30:34Journal blog to call the firm, the dojys Home away
- 30:38from Home.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Look, how many.
- 30:40Speaker 1: More ties do you need between the Department of Justice
- 30:43and Jeffrey Epstein. Nobody's saying that Rumler was there to
- 30:47defend Jeffrey Epstein at least I'm not. But why was
- 30:50she there in the first place. Shouldn't she have to
- 30:52answer for that? And just another tie to Bill Clinton?
- 30:56At what point do you look at all of this
- 30:58and say, all right, we have to get to the
- 31:00bottom of it. There needs to be a full on
- 31:02investigation to see what Bill Clinton's role in all of
- 31:05this was. At Latham, Rumler defended companies in high stakes
- 31:11litigations and led internal probes into misconduct, and averted indictments
- 31:17through Department of Justice declinations or decisions not to prosecute,
- 31:22which are similar to non prosecution agreements. She did, however,
- 31:26secure a non prosecution agreement for Microsoft Hungary, which last
- 31:30year paid eight point seven million in penalties to resolve
- 31:34a foreign bribery case. Now, I don't faulter for any
- 31:38of that stuff, right, not at all.
- 31:41Speaker 2: You're a lawyer.
- 31:41Speaker 1: This is what you do. I understand that lawyers are
- 31:44pretty scummy and they're going to do scummy things. But
- 31:47my question is, what's your relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, Why
- 31:51would you be in this courtroom, and how does it
- 31:53relate to Bill Clinton. Her career began with a clerkship
- 32:01under a federal appeals judge, followed by a job at
- 32:04litigation Boutique Zuckerman Spader in Washington, d C. Before she
- 32:09was hired as a lawyer for President Clinton from two
- 32:12thousand to two thousand and one. She then moved to
- 32:15the Justice Department, where she made headlines as a lead
- 32:18prosecutor in the Enron financial fraud trial. Winngarten, one of
- 32:23Epstein's DC based legal eagles, faced off with Rumler when
- 32:26he represented Richard Causey, Enron's former chief accounting officer, who
- 32:31pleaded guilty to securities fraud. Nah, no connections here, nobody
- 32:35knew anybody. This is all just another big coincidens. In
- 32:40two thousand and seven, she left government for Latham and Watkins.
- 32:44She joined the Obama administration two years later as the
- 32:48Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General at the DOJ. Rumler replaced
- 32:53her mentor Bob Bauer, as White House counsel in twenty
- 32:56eleven and became one of President Obama's closest confidence. When
- 33:01she announced her resignation in twenty fourteen, Obama said, Kathy
- 33:05has become one of my most trusted advisors.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Over the past few years.
- 33:10Speaker 1: I deeply value her smarts, her judgment, and her wit,
- 33:13but most importantly, her uncanny ability to see around the
- 33:17corners that nobody else anticipates. Boy, we could go in
- 33:21a million directions with a president saying that.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Huh.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I guess the real question should be, And it's a
- 33:27pretty simple one, considering she's obviously one of the smartest.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Women in the room.
- 33:32Speaker 1: What were you doing at Jeffrey Epstein's trial? Why were
- 33:35you there, what were your interests in that? What's your
- 33:37relationship with the Clinton Global Initiative and the Clinton Foundation,
- 33:41and what sort of contact did you have with Jeffrey
- 33:43Epstein throughout the years?
- 33:44Speaker 2: Pretty simple. You see how quickly that happened.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Get her on paper, let's get her under oath, and
- 33:49let's see what she has to say. Later, asked in
- 33:53an interview, how she'd like to be remembered, Roomler paraphrase Bower,
- 33:57she told it like it was. She never put even
- 34:01light icing on the cake. Well, that's all fine and well,
- 34:04and I'm sure she's a great lawyer and probably a
- 34:06decent human being, But are you gonna answer the questions
- 34:10that have to do with this or no. After the
- 34:13Obama White House, Rumler returned to Latham, but was soon
- 34:16in the running to replace Attorney General Eric Holder, but
- 34:20she withdrew her name from consideration, reportedly because she feared
- 34:23her closeness to Obama and her handling of matters, including
- 34:27the twenty twelve attack on the US consulate in Benghazi
- 34:31and the Secret Service prostitution scandal in Cartagena, Colombia, would
- 34:35make for a difficult confirmation process, or she just didn't
- 34:39want to be aired out. Let's just call it what
- 34:41it is. Why don't we always dog walk around this shit?
- 34:43What did she do down there that was so bad?
- 34:48She felt strongly that it would not serve the Department
- 34:51well and that it certainly wouldn't serve the president well
- 34:54to have the confirmation process be a series of partisan
- 34:56attacks on the president rather than a reason approach to
- 35:00what the Department of Justice really needs right now. One
- 35:04source told Politico, Look, it doesn't matter who you bring
- 35:06up there as a president, they're gonna go after him.
- 35:09The other side, they're gonna act like fools and cause
- 35:11a bunch of gridlock. That's how this game is played.
- 35:16Under the Clinton administration, Rumler defended the White House in
- 35:19congressional investigations and Independent Council issues, including those related the
- 35:24former Pentagon worker Linda Tripp, who famously taped colleague Mana Lewinsky.
- 35:30According to one Washington Post profile on Enron prosecutors, so
- 35:35you know, she was a Clintonista. She's locked in, she's
- 35:38drank the kool aid, and she'll do whatever she can
- 35:40to protect good old Bill.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Was she there to keep.
- 35:43Speaker 1: An eye on the child to make sure nobody mentioned
- 35:45Bill's name?
- 35:46Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I don't have any evidence to prove that, but I'm
- 35:49just speculating, you know, like the Washington Post does or
- 35:52the New York Times don't They love to just speculate.
- 36:00Rumler's ties to the Clintons didn't end with Bill's presidency.
- 36:03She's mentioned in emails published on Wiki leaks, including those
- 36:07belonging to Hillary Clinton's twenty sixteen campaign chair John Podesta.
- 36:12One email attachment listed Rumler under a March twenty and
- 36:15sixteen list of possible campaign vetters, while several other emails
- 36:20indicated Rumler was a participant in more than one bi
- 36:24weekly Hill strategy call. Why should it shock you? Very
- 36:28close to the Clintons. They want people around them. Look,
- 36:31you think that sycophants are something that is new. The
- 36:36Clinton's been surrounded by them for years and nobody ever
- 36:40was really breaking ranks until a guy like Doug banded.
- 36:48And here's where the Epstein stuff really comes into play,
- 36:51in my opinion. In August twenty and sixteen, Rumler was
- 36:55identified as the Clinton Foundation's principal lawyer when Reuters as
- 36:59well as The New York Post reported the organization hired
- 37:02a security firm in the wake of suspected hacking. It's
- 37:06unclear how long she represented the Clinton Family charity or
- 37:09what other work she's done for them. Rumler also recently
- 37:13defended the Democratic National Committee and Perkins Coy, the law
- 37:17firm representing Hillary Clinton's twenty sixteen campaign, in a defamation
- 37:22suit filed by Carter Page, a former campaign advisor to
- 37:26Donald Trump. Now does that sound like somebody who isn't
- 37:29close to the heart of the Clintons, somebody who isn't trusted?
- 37:34So again, I ask you why was she at Jeffrey
- 37:37Epstein's trial? What was she doing there? And we all
- 37:40know that Epstein had ties to the Clinton Foundation. We
- 37:42all know that he had ties to the Clinton Global Initiative.
- 37:46So what was she doing there?
- 37:48Speaker 2: And what were her.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Ties to Epstein? That's the real question. Nobody ever hammers
- 37:53it down. Though nobody ever puts Bill Clinton on the carpet.
- 37:57You know, they handle them with kids gloves. Page claimed
- 38:03the parties developed the Steele dossier, which was replete with
- 38:06falsehoods about numerous individuals associated with the Trump campaign, leading
- 38:11the Feds to wrongflee and covertly survelle Page as an
- 38:16agent of Russia. A federal judge in Chicago toss Page's
- 38:19lawsuit in August, saying the court lack jurisdiction. Page filed
- 38:23a similar suit in Oklahoma in twenty eighteen, but it
- 38:27was dismissed for the same reason. Now, we're not going
- 38:29to dive into all of that, but there certainly was
- 38:32a lot of weird stuff going on, and there certainly
- 38:35still is a lot of weird stuff going on as
- 38:38far as the courts go, as far as the misdirection goes.
- 38:44Rumlers alleged ties to Epstein raised further questions on the
- 38:48financier pedophiles high power connections, including Bill Clinton. Clinton's name
- 38:53has surfaced repeatedly in court filings related to Epstein and
- 38:57his accomplice co conspirator, General alaray On Scuzbag Glene Maxwell,
- 39:02and he took international trips with the perverted pair on
- 39:05Epstein's private jet. And we know what was more than that.
- 39:09The former president denies knowing anything about Epstein's abuse of
- 39:13young women and girls, and denies one survivor's claims that
- 39:16he visited Epstein's Virgin Islands compound. So he's basically calling
- 39:21Virginia Roberts a liar. So there's your hero, Bill Clinton.
- 39:25For all of you out there who still think this
- 39:27is a good guy, I don't know how you can
- 39:28support these survivors and act like Bill Clinton isn't somebody
- 39:32who should be targeted for a more thorough look here,
- 39:37because the red flags are everywhere, and if you deny them,
- 39:40well that's on you. Several Clinton staffers are listed in
- 39:46Epstein's infamous rolodex, including Cheryl Mills, who was Deputy White
- 39:50House Council for Clinton during his nineteen ninety nine impeachment trial.
- 39:55Mills was an advisor to Hillary Clinton's two thousand and
- 39:58eight presidential run, and she chief of staff when Clinton
- 40:01became Secretary of State. And also, let's remember when Hillary
- 40:05Clinton was at Secretary of State and she was in charge,
- 40:08she gave Alexander de Rossi, Glenn Maxwell's nephew, a job
- 40:12at the State Department, where he went on to work
- 40:14on the glorious Arab Spring. How did that work out
- 40:17for everybody? Along with Podesta, Mills oversaw Clinton's search for
- 40:26a running mate in twenty sixteen and was included in
- 40:29emails with Rumler. In years past, both Epstein and Maxwell
- 40:34donated thousands to the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Library. That's
- 40:38more than that, Okay, millions, millions and millions, not thousands,
- 40:42And that's from Epstein's own lawyers. We've went over that before,
- 40:46We've read the articles, we've provided the receipts. When Epstein's
- 40:53lawyers secretly negotiated a plea deal for his abuse of
- 40:56miners in Florida in two thousand and seven, they plugged
- 40:59his friends with former President Clinton and claimed he helped
- 41:03to create the Clinton Global Initiative. There you have it, folks,
- 41:08Daily Beasts telling you that, not me. I'm just here
- 41:11to offer up my opinion to go along with it,
- 41:13and from where I'm sitting, it's all straight garbage. The
- 41:17whole entire thing is corrupt. Every single person that was
- 41:20involved in all of this nonsense needs to be called
- 41:23on the carpet and the days of handling the Clintons
- 41:26with white gloves need to be over. But the problem
- 41:30is there are no journalists out there that seemed to
- 41:33have the courage to do so. So until then, we'll
- 41:36be here picking up the slack and letting you all
- 41:38know just how close Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein really were.
- 41:44If you'd like to contact me, you can do that
- 41:46at Bobby Kapuchi at ProtonMail dot com. That's Bo Bby
- 41:50c apu Cci at ProtonMail dot com. You can also

- 42:01link that I discussed can be found in the description box.
- 42:05What's up everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 42:08Epstein Chronicles. As the Jeffrey Epstein related fallout continues to
- 42:13rain down, people are starting to pay a price, and
- 42:17one of those people is Katherine Rumler. The former Obama
- 42:21White House counsel and currently the top lawyer at Goldman Sachs.
- 42:26And honestly, it's a long time coming. This isn't some revelation.
- 42:32If you follow the story, you know about Katherine Rumler,
- 42:34and you know that she was offering Jeffrey Epstein all
- 42:37kinds of advice and strategy to help fight the charges
- 42:41that he was facing, and even though he was a
- 42:43disgusting animal, she had no problem remaining his friend, especially
- 42:48considering that friendship also came with a lot of perks,
- 42:52such as a nine three hundred and fifty dollars handbag,
- 42:56which is wild to me considering how rich this lady is. Anyway,
- 43:00I mean to tell me, ms, big shot lawyer here
- 43:02can't come up with three hundred and fifty dollars. So
- 43:05it's not just the perk, right, not just the bag.
- 43:08She actually really enjoyed Jeffrey Epstein. She enjoyed his company,
- 43:11she enjoyed his friendship, and she certainly enjoyed his patronage.
- 43:16Today's article was published by Reuters and the headline Jeffrey
- 43:21Epstein gave her a nine three hundred and fifty dollars handbag,
- 43:24but did Goldman Sacks, departing top lawyer violate any rules
- 43:29This article was authored by Jenna green Well. Maybe not
- 43:33any rules of the trade, but she certainly broke all
- 43:36the rules of morality, and considering the shit storm, Goldman
- 43:39Sachs is certainly in the right letting her go. Now,
- 43:44of course she'll say she's stepping down, but you know,
- 43:46the pressure came from the top shareholders, people on the board.
- 43:51Nobody wants to deal with this shit, and that's because
- 43:53all of you have kept the pressure on. So every
- 43:56one of you who have been engaged, following along and
- 43:59demanding justice, she'd give yourselves a pat on the back,
- 44:03because you're the real engine behind all of this. Not
- 44:06my big mouth, not anybody else talking about it. It's
- 44:10all of you folks who are demanding justice and who
- 44:12refuse to be told to move on, because I promise you,
- 44:16if you weren't making the kind distinct that you're making,
- 44:19they would have already moved on. We'd have no files, nothing.
- 44:23So the whole entire thing, as far as where we
- 44:26are is because of folks like you. Goldman Sachs. Top
- 44:31lawyer Catherine Rummler faced fierce criticism on social media and
- 44:35calls for her ouster following revelations that she accepted thousands
- 44:40of dollars worth of gifts from Jeffrey Epstein when she
- 44:44was previously a partner at a law firm. As a
- 44:47matter of attorney ethics, her conduct didn't appear to violate
- 44:51any professional rules, but I raised questions of judgment. Some
- 44:55legal ethics experts told me, well, it really comes down
- 44:59to the blowback. They might wrap it in some kind
- 45:03of dressing. Oh yeah, it was about ethics, it was
- 45:06about this that the other thing. But really it's about pushback.
- 45:10They don't want to deal with you folks going bananas,
- 45:14and they now know that this isn't going to just
- 45:15blow over. So they had to do something, and that
- 45:19something is removing Catherine Rumler. Late Thursday, Rumler announced her
- 45:25resignation as Goldman's Chief Legal Officer and General Council, effective
- 45:30June thirtieth. My responsibility is to put Goldman Sachs interest first,
- 45:35Rumbler said in a statement. Goldman Chief Executive David Solomon,
- 45:39who had initially stood by Rumler, said in a statement
- 45:42that Rumler has been an extraordinary General Council and.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Will be missed. I don't worry.
- 45:47Speaker 1: I'm sure you can find another pedophile adjacent person to
- 45:50come and take the reins. A spokesperson for Rumler, who
- 45:56served as White House counsel during the Obama administration, earlier
- 46:00this week that she was never Epstein's lawyer and that
- 46:03she had done nothing wrong. Okay, so that's pretty important, right.
- 46:09She's saying that she has never been Epstein's lawyer, so
- 46:12that means that there is no lawyer client privilege, so
- 46:15they can't hide behind that. Let's just keep that in
- 46:17mind moving forward as more information comes out about Catherine Rumler.
- 46:23Ethic rules for lawyers offer a few guardrails on propriety
- 46:27of accepting gifts. Most day bars have adopted an American
- 46:31Bar Association rule that says a lawyer may not solicit
- 46:35a substantial gift from a client. But the rule doesn't
- 46:38prevent a lawyer from accepting an unsolicited client gift, no
- 46:42matter how valuable, said Fordham School of Law ethics professor
- 46:46Bruce Green. Nor are lawyers barred from soliciting or accepting
- 46:51substantial gifts from a former client or other non client. Look,
- 46:56let's not get caught in the weeds here. That's not
- 46:58what this is about. It's not about an three hundred
- 47:00and fifty dollars bag. It's about her judgment being skewed.
- 47:05It's about her judgment being terrible. It's about her associating, frolicking,
- 47:11and enjoying the company of a convicted sex offender. I mean,
- 47:15if you're Goldman Sachs, do you want this lady representing
- 47:18your company? I know, I wouldn't talk about a nightmare.
- 47:23If she can't even figure out that Epstein's a piece
- 47:25of shit? You really want her in charge of negotiating
- 47:28billion dollar deals and whatnot? Seems like a situation that
- 47:32you try to avoid at all costs. According to Rumler
- 47:36spokesperson Jennifer Connolly, Rummler knew Epstein through her prior work
- 47:40as a criminal defense attorney, receive referrals from him, and
- 47:43was friendly with them in a personal context. Epstein also
- 47:48occasionally sought her informal legal advice, and she responded based
- 47:53on what she knew, and often in ways designed to
- 47:55placate him without having to actually get involved. Connolly wrote
- 47:59in an email, Oh, still lying, still lying about the relationship.
- 48:04Just admit it. Just admit that you enjoyed his company.
- 48:07You knew what he was, and you didn't give a
- 48:09fuck about the people he heard. I'm so tired of
- 48:12the lying, the bullshitting, the mental gymnastics. Goldman has a
- 48:17thirty nine page quote of conduct that includes instructions on
- 48:20giving but not receiving gifts from clients. It also prohibits
- 48:25employees from engaging in outside activities that create conflicts, reputational risks,
- 48:31or any other negative impact to the firm or our clients.
- 48:35I mean, right, there is cause for firing. You want
- 48:39to talk about reputational risk, You want to talk about
- 48:42a serious problem, folks, this is it. Imagine being a
- 48:47board member, somebody that holds a large number of stock
- 48:51over here. Imagine what you're thinking right now. And make
- 48:55no mistake, the only reason she resigned is because they
- 48:59were letting hers say faith. She was on her way
- 49:01out no matter what. It's unclear to what extent the
- 49:04rule would have obligated Rumler to disclose her prior association
- 49:08with the notorious financier whose death in twenty nineteen was
- 49:12front page news, or if such disclosure was made. Rumler
- 49:17was hired by Goldman in April of twenty twenty. They
- 49:21already knew, they didn't care. Just like the rest of
- 49:23these people. It's always the same story. Right after the fact,
- 49:27they'll tell you, oh, we care so much about Epstein's survivors,
- 49:30we care so much about what Epstein was doing. But
- 49:33the reality is, when they had a chance to not
- 49:36hire them, to not associate with them, they sure had
- 49:39no problem doing it. Goldman spokesperson Tony Fratto told Reuters
- 49:44last week that Epstein often offered unsolicited favors and gifts
- 49:49to many business contacts. Rumler accepted the gifts between twenty
- 49:53fourteen and twenty nineteen, when she was a partner at
- 49:57Latham and Watkins, according to email recently released by the
- 50:01US Department of Justice. The law firm says Epstein was
- 50:05not a client and declined further comment. Oh I bet
- 50:08they did. I bet you they're running for cover. If
- 50:12they have a bunker, they're hiding in it. Law firm
- 50:15consultant Lisa Smith with Fairfax Associates said that while some
- 50:20firms place limits on gifts from vendors, she hasn't seen
- 50:24partnership agreements that address non clients. It would be difficult
- 50:28to define that, but it's possible that exists. She said
- 50:31via email. Latham's partnership agreement is not publicly available, and
- 50:36the firm does not publish a code of ethics for
- 50:39its lawyers on its website. Epstein pleaded guilty in Florida
- 50:43State Court in two thousand and eight to felony solicitation
- 50:46a prostitution and procuring a person under the age of
- 50:50eighteen for prostitution. Just to be clear, if you're under eighteen,
- 50:56you can't be a prostitute. Okay, you're a child who's
- 50:59being minutulated, groomed, abused. I hope that was clearer for
- 51:03everybody in the back. In July of twenty nineteen, he
- 51:06was arrested on a sex trafficking charge and died a
- 51:09month later in a Manhattan Jael cell in what New
- 51:12York City's chief Medical Examiner called a suicide. Based on
- 51:17my review of a sample of more than nine thousand
- 51:19emails from twenty fourteen to twenty nineteen that mentioned Rumler's name,
- 51:26the exchanges offer a few indications of why the gifts
- 51:30were given or what, if anything, Epstein expected in return.
- 51:34A person from Bloomingdale's in twenty seventeen was said to
- 51:38be a birthday present and on Valentine's Day in twenty eighteen,
- 51:42Epstein treated Rumler to a Glam Squad hair and makeup appointment.
- 51:46At least twice he sent chicken soup when she was sick.
- 51:50The email show, So how many of you out there
- 51:52have sent chicken noodle soup to somebody who's sick that
- 51:56you didn't really know. I'm sure everybody's out there running
- 52:00into the store right now to get some of that
- 52:02chicken noodle soup to send to a stranger. These people
- 52:06really think you're stupid, That's what they really think. And
- 52:09they're hoping beyond hope that the water carriers that are
- 52:13out here in the media do the job for them.
- 52:17Oh well, you see, this wasn't that big of a deal.
- 52:20Everybody does it, yoho, full stop. No, everybody doesn't do it,
- 52:25only you. Sick degenerates. I adore him. It's like having
- 52:31another older brother, Rumner wrote in a twenty fifteen email
- 52:34to Epstein's assistant. Also buried in the DOJ's document release,
- 52:39a twenty sixteen email from Epstein forwarding a flattering column
- 52:44I wrote for a legal publication about Rumner's work on
- 52:47behalf of a Dubai Bank. The email appears to have
- 52:51been sent to executives at Swiss Bank Edmund D. Rothschild, Well,
- 52:56we know he was working for the Rothschilds and I
- 52:58know that sounds like some crazy ass Alex Jones level shit,
- 53:01but it's true. According to Connolly, the bank was a
- 53:04client of both Epstein and Rumbler, and from the emails,
- 53:08that appears that Epstein had facilitated her introduction to the client,
- 53:13emailing Rumbler in twenty fourteen that Edmund D Rothschild had
- 53:18a DOJ problem. Without elaborating, he asked if she was
- 53:21prohibited from involvement. No, no prohibition, she responded. A spokesperson
- 53:27for the bank did not immediately respond to a request
- 53:30for comment. Well, well, well what was she doing? What
- 53:33levers were being pulled? And did Rumbler play any part
- 53:37in the Obama administration hiding this and covering this up?
- 53:41Because make no mistake, the Obama administration had all this information,
- 53:45They knew what was going on, they knew what Epstein
- 53:48was and they hit it too. So Thomas Massey the
- 53:52other day hit the knell on the head, but he
- 53:55didn't go back far enough because this shit started during
- 53:59Clinton's first, and it's been going on since. So all
- 54:03the people out here that want to pass blame blame
- 54:05everybody else. I got to tell you, it's everybody's fault.
- 54:10Neither side has cared about this, and that's why we
- 54:12find ourselves in the position that we're in. But when
- 54:16you have somebody like Katherine Rumler, who is this high up,
- 54:20who is somebody that's the White House counsel, and they're
- 54:24being asked to step in and you know, help out
- 54:27with the DOJ, that's a problem. And if Prince Andrew
- 54:31and Mandelson are going to get hemmed up, don't you
- 54:34think that people that were in a position like Rumbler's
- 54:37here in America should also face serious scrutiny? I most
- 54:41certainly do. Reuter's was unable to establish what issue Epstein
- 54:46was referring to or whether Rumbler was ultimately retained to
- 54:50work on it. Rumbler's bounty from Epstein included a Hermes
- 54:54purse priced at nine thousand, three hundred and fifty dollars
- 54:57in twenty sixteen, and Defendeecote n bag costing six thousand,
- 55:02eight hundred in August of twenty eighteen. According to emails
- 55:06released by the DJ. Other gifts include wine, flowers and
- 55:10a massage at the Four Seasons in Washington, d C.
- 55:14The email show boy, it must be nice, huh out
- 55:17here on the predator's dime. Get in your legs rubbed.
- 55:20Hope you enjoy yourself, because I can assure you that
- 55:24the girls that were involved with massaging Jeffrey Epstein and
- 55:27his gross ass friends, they didn't have very much fun.
- 55:32Should Rumler have known better than to accept? With a
- 55:35benefit of hindsight, it seems easy to say yes, and
- 55:38to see Epstein's campaign of largesse as a deliberate move
- 55:42to get a leading lawyer in his corner, even unofficially,
- 55:47still run in cover for your friend here. Huh. Let's
- 55:50just face it, Catherine Rumler piece of shit, okay, point
- 55:53blank period, no cover.
- 55:55Speaker 2: That's it. That's what she is.
- 55:57Speaker 1: And this is why I'm calling for a special counsel,
- 56:00someone that goes back and looks at everything. Obama, Bush, Clinton, everybody.
- 56:08Everything has to be on the table. In twenty eighteen,
- 56:14the Miami Herald and other news outlets reported in detail
- 56:18on allegations of sexual abuse by teen girls against Epstein.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Oh stop it.
- 56:23Speaker 1: It was widely reported the first time around. Don't even
- 56:27sit here for a minute and act like you had
- 56:29no idea that shit is not going to work. Rumler
- 56:35spokesperson said her views on Epstein were shaped by his
- 56:38denial of any wrongdoing other than what he had played
- 56:41guilty two years prior, and that if she had known
- 56:45what she knows now, she never would have dealt with
- 56:47them at all. By the nature of their practice, criminal defense,
- 56:51lawyers are going to have relationships with unsavory people.
- 56:55Speaker 2: What lawyers need to keep.
- 56:56Speaker 1: In mind is whether such relationships could reflect poorly on
- 57:00their firm or company, said Downey Law Group founder Michael Downey,
- 57:04whose firm focuses on legal ethics and lawyer discipline defense.
- 57:09Especially if gifts or favors are involved, the rules of
- 57:13professional conduct, though necessarily come into play, he said, Instead,
- 57:18it's ultimately a question of judgment. Well, folks, I don't
- 57:21think there's any question that she use poor judgment. And
- 57:26while she was having a great time getting her massage
- 57:29and having her Hermes bag, that Epstein bill is now
- 57:33due and Katherine Rumler is paying up with interest. All
