Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables.
- 0:03Speaker 2: When your girlfriend gets mad at you for being on
- 0:05Speaker 2: your phone, but she was literally just on her phone,
- 0:09Speaker 2: but you can't be mad at her because you're low key,
- 0:11Speaker 2: just a chill guy.
- 0:14Speaker 3: The Relatables podcast is hosted by myself What Clark aka
- 0:32Speaker 3: Mummy and my partner in crime, mister Jake Craig aka Daddy.
- 0:36Speaker 3: All right, everybody, thanks for tuning in once again. As
- 0:40Speaker 3: some of you might know, we were just in La yes,
- 0:44Speaker 3: but when we were going there, we got off the
- 0:47Speaker 3: flight and I got interrogated by the immigration's officer.
- 0:53Speaker 1: You did. That guy was, I would like to point out,
- 0:56Speaker 1: kind of a dick.
- 0:57Speaker 3: He was an asshole. And he started asking me all
- 1:01Speaker 3: these questions of like like too many questions about my holiday,
- 1:05Speaker 3: like where I was going, when I was going, like
- 1:06Speaker 3: how I was getting there, And then he asked me
- 1:08Speaker 3: like where am I staying? And I didn't know because
- 1:12Speaker 3: Jake booked the airbnb and I was getting a little
- 1:15Speaker 3: bit pissed off, so Jake had to do his immigration
- 1:17Speaker 3: officer thing.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I got roped into oddies and then he.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Came over to mind and the guy was thinking we're
- 1:21Speaker 3: going to get drunk and how are we going to
- 1:23Speaker 3: get home? How do I know how to get home
- 1:25Speaker 3: without the address? And you know what, I felt like
- 1:27Speaker 3: telling him, I'm just a chill guy.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Come on, come on, man, I'm just a chill I'm
- 1:35Speaker 1: just a chill guy, just here for a holiday, just
- 1:39Speaker 1: a chill guy. He was a bit of a dick.
- 1:41Speaker 2: He was as the guy that we we went up
- 1:43Speaker 2: to two separate like TSA officers.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and the guy I had, man.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I could tell he was sick of his shit, and
- 1:50Speaker 2: he just was like he was like, just put his
- 1:53Speaker 2: hand out for my passport and I gave it to him,
- 1:55Speaker 2: and like he didn't ask me a single question. He
- 1:58Speaker 2: just goes standing front the camera. I was like, and
- 2:02Speaker 2: he just like I had to like do like four
- 2:03Speaker 2: fingerprints and then my thumb. And then as soon as
- 2:06Speaker 2: I finished doing like my thumb, that's when I heard
- 2:09Speaker 2: you just be like, Jake, where are we staying?
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:12Speaker 2: And I was just I said to the guy, I
- 2:13Speaker 2: was like, oh, sorry, I just gonna go give my
- 2:14Speaker 2: mate the address, was saying that was that all right?
- 2:17Speaker 1: And then he goes, oh, yeah, yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Like I can see it here, yeah, like because we
- 2:20Speaker 2: put it in before we left and so the guy
- 2:23Speaker 2: that you had could also see where you were staying.
- 2:26Speaker 1: But he just was like want.
- 2:27Speaker 2: To know if you knew, and I was just like thinking,
- 2:31Speaker 2: so I had to go over and then be like, oh,
- 2:32Speaker 2: this is the address and he's like, yo, why doesn't
- 2:34Speaker 2: your friend have it?
- 2:35Speaker 1: And I was like, oh god, I don't know. That's
- 2:36Speaker 1: my bad. Sorry, and he was like started to go like, yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 1: what if you go out and get drunk? How's he
- 2:41Speaker 1: going to get out? I'm professional is that question? But
- 2:43Speaker 1: what if you go out and get drunk?
- 2:45Speaker 2: It's like what I really wanted to say was like
- 2:47Speaker 2: the last time you went on a holiday with your
- 2:49Speaker 2: wife who played the whole thing, did you fucking know
- 2:51Speaker 2: where you were from going?
- 2:53Speaker 1: It was like fuck off. I was like.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Seriously when he said, like what happens if you go
- 2:57Speaker 3: guys go and get drunk and like you get split up?
- 2:59Speaker 1: I wanted to say, we don't drink. Why are you
- 3:03Speaker 1: assuming we drink? It's not an issue.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It's literally not an issue.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Was he was like profiling as to just two young
- 3:09Speaker 3: guys with like tatoo's not going to get drunk in LA.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I mean fair enough, Like we can't.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I mean he's got a it's probably just bored.
- 3:17Speaker 3: He must have just been there was no people there,
- 3:18Speaker 3: so he's like, wow, I'll take the piece out of
- 3:19Speaker 3: this guy.
- 3:20Speaker 2: He's like, we need the line to be there for
- 3:21Speaker 2: a minute. I need to get paid for what I'm doing.
- 3:23Speaker 2: But yeah, the guy I had was just so chill,
- 3:25Speaker 2: and he was like yeah, and I was stressing about America.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I was stressing too once I got there and he
- 3:30Speaker 1: was interrogating me. Yeah, it's just so fucking not what's
- 3:33Speaker 1: the point, I know?
- 3:34Speaker 3: But what that brings up is a wonderful meme that's
- 3:38Speaker 3: going on on the internet right now.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Yes, I'm just a chill god.
- 3:43Speaker 3: And if you haven't seen it, I don't think we
- 3:46Speaker 3: can explain it in any other way.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I will say, men love it.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Yeah, girls, and we just think that it's funny. Like
- 3:56Speaker 2: I just think it is the I think the excuse
- 3:59Speaker 2: of a chill guy doesn't really work. It has like
- 4:02Speaker 2: I don't think it has any sort of grounds to stand. Yeah,
- 4:05Speaker 2: no grounds, no validity or whatever the word merit. Yeah,
- 4:09Speaker 2: but I just think this fucking trend is hilarious.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I think it's funny because it like highlights like just
- 4:15Speaker 3: how dumb men. So this is I'm just a chill
- 4:20Speaker 3: guy when she calls you out for not taking enough photos,
- 4:25Speaker 3: but you're just a chill guy living in the moment.
- 4:31Speaker 1: See. I stand by that one. It's a muscle that
- 4:36Speaker 1: needs to be worked. I will say, it's a muscle
- 4:39Speaker 1: that I really need to work on. Every guy's excuses
- 4:43Speaker 1: like I just don't take photos.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Even we got back from LA and I looked at
- 4:47Speaker 3: my camera roll on the flat home and I was like, hmmm, it's.
- 4:49Speaker 1: A good trip, but didn't get enough picks.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I never really, I don't ever like fully regret not
- 4:56Speaker 2: having enough picks. I won't lie, Oh I do, I
- 4:59Speaker 2: do remember it, like, oh, that's a funny one though,
- 5:02Speaker 2: because every guy's excuse me, after a year, I don't remember.
- 5:05Speaker 2: That's a good point. But also after a year, if
- 5:07Speaker 2: I do have photos, I don't go look at it.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Have you ever gone?
- 5:11Speaker 2: Have you ever gone and looked at unless I need
- 5:13Speaker 2: something though, like, yeah, the only time I ever go
- 5:15Speaker 2: look at old photos when I was like, when I'm
- 5:16Speaker 2: going to look for a photo I know I have
- 5:18Speaker 2: of someone that I want to show, and then I
- 5:21Speaker 2: just having to scroll across a holiday and I'm like, oh,
- 5:24Speaker 2: I might remember.
- 5:24Speaker 1: This now, so I guess it's good to have true.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Okay, when she texts you baby my head hurts, and
- 5:33Speaker 2: you ask if she's drank any water, because you're literally
- 5:35Speaker 2: just a really chill guy that believes in hydration.
- 5:40Speaker 1: We do believe in hydration.
- 5:42Speaker 3: It's the biggest cop out answer, like anything could be
- 5:46Speaker 3: going on in their body, and.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I'm like, have you drunk enough water?
- 5:50Speaker 2: I've got really bad cramps, but have you had enough water?
- 5:54Speaker 2: We're sitting there acting like we fucking know where she's going.
- 5:59Speaker 3: I saw a video and it's like how much water
- 6:02Speaker 3: my boyfriend expects me to drink when I've got like
- 6:04Speaker 3: pure crams for a headache, And it's like a ten
- 6:07Speaker 3: liter bottle of water and she's there like chugging it.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Oh fuck me. Okay, I think it's your turn.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I'm just the chill guy when your girlfriend's mad at
- 6:18Speaker 3: you because you said the wrong thing. But you're a
- 6:20Speaker 3: chill guy who just likes the joke around.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Sometimes stupid. It's like a joke around. Man.
- 6:34Speaker 3: You ever just seen one of those moods where you're
- 6:36Speaker 3: just like you say something like I should have said that.
- 6:41Speaker 1: It's a dangerous.
- 6:42Speaker 2: It's a dangerous when you're in a relationship, right and
- 6:45Speaker 2: you guys are just having a little bit of fun
- 6:48Speaker 2: and you're like having a bit of banter and then
- 6:50Speaker 2: she says something and then you're kind of like, oh, so,
- 6:52Speaker 2: I guess you know, gloves are off. Yeah, you say something,
- 6:56Speaker 2: and then it's like that sound of the FaceTime when
- 6:59Speaker 2: they hang up and she rolls over in bed because
- 7:00Speaker 2: you've made to you've got too far with the jokes,
- 7:03Speaker 2: like you sucker punched her.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Eh oh fucking yeah, she.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Just like silent, just goes silence straight away.
- 7:10Speaker 3: My girlfriend says, that's a line, that's that's the line.
- 7:13Speaker 3: It's like, how was I going to know where the
- 7:14Speaker 3: line was?
- 7:15Speaker 1: Where's this line? I can't see. Our lines need to
- 7:17Speaker 1: be in the same spot.
- 7:18Speaker 2: You can't cross a line that would cross your line,
- 7:20Speaker 2: and then I'm not allowed to cross it.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I can't see your imaginary line. I'm a chill guy. Okay,
- 7:28Speaker 1: this is me, by the way.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yeah, when your girlfriend's mad because you left her on red,
- 7:34Speaker 2: but you're just a chill guy who thought, he replied.
- 7:39Speaker 1: That's relatable. You do that all the time.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Sometimes it's hard because sometimes I think like, is he
- 7:49Speaker 3: meant to reply or is he just like taking the
- 7:51Speaker 3: time to do something?
- 7:52Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, yeah. Sometimes I'm like, did you mean to reply? Yeah,
- 7:57Speaker 1: just sending a question mark. I never know who you are.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Okay, this one is going to be good for you.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:08Speaker 3: When my girlfriend gets mad at me particling her, but
- 8:10Speaker 3: I'm actually just a chill guy in a goofy mood.
- 8:15Speaker 1: It's the opposite. It's best.
- 8:16Speaker 2: It's like when my boyfriend gets mad at me for
- 8:18Speaker 2: tickling him, but I'm really just a chill girl.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Have you seen the chill girl like meme emoji? Yes,
- 8:25Speaker 1: so it's funny.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Wait, the internet like has to be stopped, like what
- 8:30Speaker 2: the fuck? Also, my brain can't handle the amount of
- 8:33Speaker 2: trends that are going on right now. There's three trends
- 8:35Speaker 2: going on that I am obsessed with this one, and
- 8:38Speaker 2: we'll touch on some more later in the week, I think,
- 8:40Speaker 2: because there is definitely spacing the podcast for them.
- 8:43Speaker 1: My brain is going.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Just because when I was falling to sleep last night,
- 8:49Speaker 3: it's a great time.
- 8:50Speaker 2: It spend my ten minutes aka three hours on TikTok
- 8:52Speaker 2: before I go to bed.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I got a good one here.
- 8:58Speaker 2: When your girl is screaming at you for pushing her
- 9:00Speaker 2: head under the covers because you've farted and it smells
- 9:03Speaker 2: like a dead badger. But you're just a chill guy
- 9:04Speaker 2: with a dodgy stomach.
- 9:14Speaker 3: I think I had a fart one the fonts that
- 9:20Speaker 3: I've chosen, you're just so fucking dark going off your
- 9:23Speaker 3: fart one when your girl is angry at you for
- 9:25Speaker 3: sticking up the car. But you're really just a chill
- 9:27Speaker 3: guy with an upset tummy.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Really be like that.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Sometimes it's like that TikTok you sent me, you know
- 9:35Speaker 2: how that there was a teatok of the girl. She
- 9:38Speaker 2: was like, oh what am I going to get my
- 9:40Speaker 2: girlfriend for Christmas? Like she was mocking men, and then
- 9:43Speaker 2: she just goes, She just goes.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Stop fighting, And you're like, no, never, I can't stop style.
- 9:54Speaker 3: The worst thing about you is your farts are like
- 9:56Speaker 3: the worst time to ever.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Yes, I will admit that.
- 9:59Speaker 3: At least I'm consider it, and I'll do it and
- 10:01Speaker 3: make it known when I'm doing it. We're like about
- 10:03Speaker 3: to record like and Jacob won't make it. No, Jake
- 10:06Speaker 3: good no, no, don't don't take over. Jake will just
- 10:09Speaker 3: far as soon as we're about to record, we have
- 10:11Speaker 3: to like wait another two minutes for the fucking smell
- 10:13Speaker 3: the go away. At least i'm I have etiquette when
- 10:16Speaker 3: I far.
- 10:17Speaker 1: You do not have etiquette when you far, I'll do
- 10:20Speaker 1: it and come. I don't think then cupping.
- 10:22Speaker 2: It in your hand and throwing it in someone's face
- 10:24Speaker 2: is considered etiquette.
- 10:24Speaker 1: But I don't do it right before we start, do I.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I'll do it at the end, when it's finished. That's
- 10:30Speaker 1: called etiquette. As a friend.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Mate, when your girlfriend gets mad at you for being
- 10:35Speaker 2: on your phone, but she was literally just on her phone,
- 10:39Speaker 2: but you can't be mad at her because you're low key, just.
- 10:41Speaker 1: A chill guy.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Okay, here's a broad spectrum one. I didn't want them
- 10:52Speaker 3: to all be about relationships when school was whipping my ass,
- 10:56Speaker 3: But I remember, I'm just a low key guy who
- 10:58Speaker 3: doesn't give a fuck.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Facts. By the way, fact, did you ever catch yourself out?
- 11:04Speaker 1: You're in school and you're like, I'm so stressed, like
- 11:06Speaker 1: I don't know how to fucking do this? And a second,
- 11:12Speaker 1: why do I care? Fucking good boy? What did school
- 11:18Speaker 1: do for us? This means nothing? What did school do
- 11:21Speaker 1: for us? I can't even spell.
- 11:24Speaker 3: No, legit, bro legit than that.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Honestly, I don't even know what school.
- 11:32Speaker 3: The only thing school did for us is like social
- 11:35Speaker 3: communications girls exactly.
- 11:37Speaker 2: I think that the worst thing they ever did was
- 11:41Speaker 2: say to us in like maybe year eight or year nine,
- 11:44Speaker 2: like you know, seven to ten. I think they were
- 11:48Speaker 2: trying to say it to make us less stressed or something.
- 11:51Speaker 2: I wasn't stressed in seven to ten doesn't matter, but
- 11:54Speaker 2: seven to ten doesn't matter, and in eleven and twelve
- 11:58Speaker 2: it restarts. They and like universities only look at eleven
- 12:02Speaker 2: and twelve grades. That was the worst thing they could
- 12:04Speaker 2: have possibly said to me, because seven to ten.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Really didn't matter. After that your parents made you drop
- 12:12Speaker 1: back then and then how bad?
- 12:13Speaker 2: Then?
- 12:14Speaker 1: I finished your tenth and I left it. Okay.
- 12:23Speaker 2: When my girlfriend gets mad after my third, huh, but
- 12:26Speaker 2: it's okay. I'm low key, just a chill guy who
- 12:28Speaker 2: can't hear.
- 12:30Speaker 1: The lad of them. Huh? Would you say what? I'm
- 12:35Speaker 1: patching a TikTok.
- 12:37Speaker 2: I found out actually, Like, if I'm laying on my
- 12:40Speaker 2: left side, my right ear I think is fucked, really,
- 12:43Speaker 2: but if I lift my head up, I can hear
- 12:45Speaker 2: beth better.
- 12:46Speaker 1: It's weird. So you're going blind and you've lost a glasses.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Jake got glasses. It's funny.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Leave a comment if you guys want to see Jake
- 12:58Speaker 3: you wear glasses on an episode.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Talking about my glasses? Did I tell you the first
- 13:02Speaker 1: time I caught my mom?
- 13:03Speaker 2: My mom called me while I was wearing them. I like,
- 13:05Speaker 2: was wearing them and I was editing, so I'd forgotten
- 13:07Speaker 2: I had them on off. And the first thing she
- 13:10Speaker 2: said to me was not hello, she was just like
- 13:13Speaker 2: she she just laughed, That's what soon as she saw them,
- 13:16Speaker 2: she just laughed.
- 13:17Speaker 1: You look like a nerd when you call me. I
- 13:23Speaker 1: understand laughing. Who is this actually? You said my last tie?
- 13:29Speaker 1: I'm out?
- 13:29Speaker 2: Okay, guys can relate to, and girls can relate to
- 13:34Speaker 2: when she gets mad at you for using her expensive shampoo.
- 13:36Speaker 2: But you're just a really chill guy.
- 13:41Speaker 1: It should have. It was just a really chill guy.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I didn't know. He didn't know anybout I'm about to know.
- 13:46Speaker 1: It's three hundred dollars. Yeah, and who spends that much
- 13:49Speaker 1: on shampoo? Exactly? I've still got all my hair.
- 13:55Speaker 3: That's the next thing to go, mate, glasses hearing hair
- 13:59Speaker 3: flight straight away. We need to pre record HP episodes
- 14:02Speaker 3: and people still think you're cute.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest, girl, Okay, I got a couple more.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Me not complaining about my order that the waiter got wrong,
- 14:12Speaker 2: because I remember, I'm just.
- 14:13Speaker 1: A Oh that's relatable way. That's the last thing I'll
- 14:17Speaker 1: do on this plat.
- 14:18Speaker 3: I'll wait like a solid forty five minutes before I complain.
- 14:21Speaker 2: True, Yeah I will. I'm patient. I'll wait a long
- 14:23Speaker 2: time before I say, is there any chance you forgot?
- 14:26Speaker 2: Like I don't want to be rude, yeah, but like
- 14:27Speaker 2: I'm paying for this.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I'm paying for this. Okay, I got I think I
- 14:32Speaker 1: got two more.
- 14:33Speaker 2: When she gets mad at me for being on the
- 14:35Speaker 2: toilet for thirty plus minutes, I'm really just a chill guy.
- 14:39Speaker 1: In my chill guy spot. That is Jake to a ta.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Okay, last one when your girlfriend gets mad at you
- 14:51Speaker 2: for not choosing what to eat, but you're just a
- 14:54Speaker 2: chill guy who's okay with anything. That one's the most
- 15:00Speaker 2: that one, literally that is the most relatable thing. The
- 15:05Speaker 2: nights when it's not a date is when I'm like
- 15:08Speaker 2: chill guy. Anything goes because the nights when i'm planning
- 15:11Speaker 2: a date. I'm obviously like, oh yeah, I'm not going
- 15:13Speaker 2: to make her make any decisions, like you know, this
- 15:15Speaker 2: is like I'm taking her on a date.
- 15:17Speaker 1: But yeah, the nights.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Where you know, we were gonna eat in and then
- 15:21Speaker 2: maybe it's like maybe we should take away.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Or what do you want?
- 15:23Speaker 2: And it's like, oh, well really anything like anything really okay?
- 15:29Speaker 1: Any takeaway is good? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Like
- 15:32Speaker 1: the other day, I.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Tried a new tactic. I tryed new tactics every now
- 15:35Speaker 2: and then of what to say and we'll get it.
- 15:37Speaker 2: We think about what to get for dinner, and Beth
- 15:38Speaker 2: was like, well, what do you feel like?
- 15:41Speaker 1: I was like, I don't know, I'm not all that
- 15:42Speaker 1: hungry yet, Like I'm not really haven't really thought about it.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Like maybe just like name something you feel like and
- 15:47Speaker 2: I'll see if I feel like it. Kind of it
- 15:51Speaker 2: didn't really work. I still end up having to make
- 15:53Speaker 2: the choice. Yeah, so I'll say, any man, any men
- 15:56Speaker 2: listening that one doesn't work, keep trying, keep trying.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Get back to us. In the Facebook group about two
- 16:08Speaker 1: days ago, Audie.
- 16:10Speaker 2: We had a dilemma and it was I thought it
- 16:14Speaker 2: was like a great dilemma and I wanted to. I
- 16:18Speaker 2: told you not to go read any of them because
- 16:20Speaker 2: I wanted to bring this up. I can do that,
- 16:22Speaker 2: and so I it's a short dilemma, nice short, sweetlight.
- 16:26Speaker 2: We love that, blah blah blah. And then what I
- 16:28Speaker 2: The reason I wanted to bring it up is because there
- 16:30Speaker 2: was a response to it that was like, like I've
- 16:32Speaker 2: never heard like more of a mic drop moment. It
- 16:36Speaker 2: was crazy. So I wanted to read you the dilemma
- 16:40Speaker 2: and then I know the answer. So the answer that
- 16:42Speaker 2: I'm about to read after it is my answer too, obviously,
- 16:45Speaker 2: like I really.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Took the words out of your mouth, didn't it. They did.
- 16:52Speaker 2: I was like, thank you for doing the work for me,
- 16:53Speaker 2: like I didn't have time to type.
- 16:56Speaker 1: But so well, yeah, I'll read it to you and then.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Let's see if I see what I think the same thing. Hey,
- 17:01Speaker 2: it says baddies, I need advice. I just spoke to
- 17:05Speaker 2: my boyfriend of two and a half years, and he
- 17:08Speaker 2: said if he found out I had a threesome in
- 17:12Speaker 2: my past, even before I met him, he'd break up
- 17:15Speaker 2: with me. I haven't had a threesome, but it's more
- 17:18Speaker 2: the principle for me. I was speechless when he said this,
- 17:21Speaker 2: and just want to hear your thoughts. Is this immature
- 17:25Speaker 2: or is he entitled to his opinion?
- 17:30Speaker 1: That's the whole thing.
- 17:33Speaker 3: That man is extremely immature and he's not confident in himself.
- 17:40Speaker 1: It's weird, isn't it.
- 17:42Speaker 3: My whole thing with dating is you're trying to get
- 17:45Speaker 3: to know the person in front of you right now,
- 17:48Speaker 3: and whatever they did in their past got them to
- 17:52Speaker 3: this point where they are this beautiful person. Threesomes, fucking
- 17:56Speaker 3: for smoking weed, doing anal, fucking, kissing girls kissing, yeah,
- 18:02Speaker 3: boys getting home fucking at the all hours of the night,
- 18:05Speaker 3: and that got them to this point in time. All
- 18:07Speaker 3: this embarrassing things that happen in our lives happen for
- 18:11Speaker 3: a reason. And I think, yeah, fuck him. That's a
- 18:15Speaker 3: terrible thing to say to your girlfriend of two and
- 18:16Speaker 3: a half years Tuna. Okay, So if you love someone
- 18:19Speaker 3: and they've had a threesome in the past before they
- 18:21Speaker 3: even knew you'd be like, oh, fuck, well, this isn't
- 18:23Speaker 3: special anymore.
- 18:23Speaker 1: You've had a th reason. It's funny you say that.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Okay, I'm going to read you the response because it's
- 18:28Speaker 2: a good time right now. So the response, And I
- 18:31Speaker 2: would like to point out, if you're not in the
- 18:33Speaker 2: Facebook grip, this is the type of shit you get.
- 18:35Speaker 2: And the response is like the type of people that
- 18:38Speaker 2: the baddies are. I think you're going to be very proud.
- 18:40Speaker 2: So someone replied it's not necessarily immature, as that implies
- 18:45Speaker 2: he could grow out of it, and most with these
- 18:49Speaker 2: views grow into it and suddenly even not being a
- 18:54Speaker 2: virgin is an issue. But it shows sorry, but it
- 18:58Speaker 2: shows you how deep.
- 18:59Speaker 1: His love isn't for you. And there's more.
- 19:03Speaker 2: He can absolutely have his preferences for what he looks
- 19:07Speaker 2: for in a person, but to say two and a
- 19:10Speaker 2: half years in that you're basically disposable. He ain't it
- 19:15Speaker 2: If he didn't express these views before, it sounds like
- 19:19Speaker 2: he's gone down one too many rabbit holes on how
- 19:21Speaker 2: women should behave So this is probably just the tip
- 19:25Speaker 2: of the icebergs.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Mike Mate a fucking great response. Ah, I love that. Hey.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I was reading it and I was like woh, like
- 19:37Speaker 2: Beth said, because I remember accepting it, and she goes, oh,
- 19:39Speaker 2: you should see the response on this, and I was like, oh,
- 19:41Speaker 2: fuck it.
- 19:42Speaker 1: How disposable your love is? Two and a half years two.
- 19:46Speaker 2: And a half years and like what makes him think, like.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Like he's acting like the only thing, the only thing
- 19:52Speaker 3: that I think is equivalent is if I found out,
- 19:54Speaker 3: like my girlfriend killed someone.
- 19:56Speaker 2: See here's the thing, Like I agree with you. Yeah,
- 20:00Speaker 2: two and a half years in. If Beth was to say,
- 20:03Speaker 2: I can trust you. I actually did this and got
- 20:06Speaker 2: away with it, I'd be like, you.
- 20:10Speaker 1: May not be here. I thought you were. That's what
- 20:12Speaker 1: if she was like.
- 20:13Speaker 2: But if she was like, I want to admit something,
- 20:15Speaker 2: I've actually had a threesome before, I'd be like, I mean, okay,
- 20:20Speaker 2: like I don't want to think about you having a threesome,
- 20:22Speaker 2: but like I'm not going to break up with you.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Honestly, I'm feel like I would give him ship.
- 20:27Speaker 3: But yeah, thanks for telling me, like you felt safe
- 20:29Speaker 3: enough in our relationship to let me know.
- 20:31Speaker 1: It's so exactly like she killed someone. I know.
- 20:36Speaker 2: It's so weird and like thinking about it, you know,
- 20:41Speaker 2: like is it okay?
- 20:42Speaker 1: That for what if?
- 20:43Speaker 2: What if he's had a threesome in the past, And
- 20:45Speaker 2: then she said that to him like.
- 20:47Speaker 3: He's a king, mate, See, it's just.
- 20:49Speaker 1: He's a king. It's not equal. Yeah, no, it's not.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I don't. I don't.
- 20:53Speaker 3: I've never really I've never understood that, like virginity, purity concept.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I've never been able to grasp flat because it's not
- 21:01Speaker 1: like a thing anymore.
- 21:03Speaker 3: But it is for some guys, Like they think that
- 21:05Speaker 3: if a girl slept with over like not virginity, but
- 21:08Speaker 3: like over five people, that they're in their words.
- 21:11Speaker 1: A slot. That's a good point. But they're not.
- 21:14Speaker 3: They're just experiencing life. Like sex is so fun. Orgasms
- 21:18Speaker 3: are fun.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Everybody should enjoy them.
- 21:20Speaker 3: And if you've had a fuck ton of them before
- 21:22Speaker 3: you met your boyfriend, good on you. You're still here
- 21:24Speaker 3: in the same point you would have been anyway. Yeah, yeah,
- 21:28Speaker 3: I don't understand today sex is fun.
- 21:30Speaker 1: It's no longer. Sorry.
- 21:32Speaker 2: The funniest chill guy one I saw was when you
- 21:34Speaker 2: sent me and it was like when she gets mad
- 21:37Speaker 2: at me for finishing prematurely, But I'm just.
- 21:39Speaker 1: A chill guy who finishes quick. I didn't think we
- 21:45Speaker 1: could say that, but we can now we talked about it.
- 21:54Speaker 1: You know what.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Also, I have found out these girls don't ever really
- 21:57Speaker 2: give a shit if you finish.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Quick, because it's a compliment. I was gonna say, if anything,
- 22:00Speaker 1: it's a compliment because they're sexy. Yeah, there's no bigger compliment.
- 22:05Speaker 1: He's got powers. It's got fucking powers on me, man.
- 22:09Speaker 2: But no, I'm not a big fan of like you know,
- 22:12Speaker 2: I'm I think I've said before, like I don't really
- 22:16Speaker 2: I don't want to know body counts. I don't judge
- 22:19Speaker 2: people that want to know them, but I judge people
- 22:21Speaker 2: that think that how whatever the number is changes the person.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it doesn't at all. I tell you what.
- 22:28Speaker 3: I love knowing what is like So we both don't
- 22:31Speaker 3: know either of our partner's body counts, but some of
- 22:34Speaker 3: like you said, I don't judge, but some people do
- 22:35Speaker 3: like to know that.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes, I like to see when it's some
- 22:41Speaker 1: people we know live about them straight to their girlfriend
- 22:46Speaker 1: or boyfriend's face.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and then and then we actually get caught in
- 22:50Speaker 2: the line.
- 22:51Speaker 1: And then as soon as they leave, I'm like, let
- 22:53Speaker 1: me just count how many I know?
- 22:54Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:54Speaker 1: Wait wait wait you said you said six? I know
- 22:58Speaker 1: of ten? Yeah, but how many do I not know? Exactly?
- 23:02Speaker 3: Just like it just brings up like things like that,
- 23:05Speaker 3: it brings your friends into a shitty situation, like but
- 23:07Speaker 3: you can't shouldn't mean a single thing, and.
- 23:10Speaker 1: What about He's actually a question for you.
- 23:13Speaker 2: So I what if your girlfriend because I know we don't.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Know right and again like there's no right or wrong.
- 23:22Speaker 1: It's like it's just whatever you feel.
- 23:23Speaker 2: But if your girlfriend did say to you, like, oh,
- 23:26Speaker 2: I really want to know, Like I'm trying to think
- 23:30Speaker 2: what I would.
- 23:30Speaker 1: I think I would.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Just tell the truth and be And I don't think
- 23:34Speaker 2: it would like turn me off. Maybe in the past
- 23:36Speaker 2: I probably thought it myself had be a turn off
- 23:38Speaker 2: if they really wanted to know. But I'm thinking about
- 23:40Speaker 2: it now, like if they really wanted to know, I
- 23:43Speaker 2: don't think is it like that big of a deal.
- 23:46Speaker 3: I don't think it is. I do remember this is relatable.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Tell me if you were the same when you were
- 23:49Speaker 3: growing up, maybe like when I was seventeen eighteen, like
- 23:53Speaker 3: you got with a girl or you were seeing someone
- 23:56Speaker 3: and then it petered out and like you weren't dating,
- 23:58Speaker 3: but you no longer we're seeing each other. Yeah, and
- 24:01Speaker 3: then they would sleep with someone else and like they'll
- 24:04Speaker 3: give you that weird feeling in your stomach, and like
- 24:07Speaker 3: I kind of thought that would be the same feeling
- 24:11Speaker 3: knowing what someone's body count was because they've slept with
- 24:14Speaker 3: like other people. Yep, but like what in the dynama
- 24:18Speaker 3: she said, like immaturity because that means you can grow
- 24:21Speaker 3: out of it. I kind of just grew out of
- 24:22Speaker 3: that and realized like it's a part of life to
- 24:24Speaker 3: sleep with other people.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it was.
- 24:27Speaker 3: It was not an attack on me that she's sleeping
- 24:29Speaker 3: with someone else. It was just like that's a part
- 24:30Speaker 3: of life.
- 24:31Speaker 2: They're like, because when you think about it, Okay, let's
- 24:33Speaker 2: say let's say like my girlfriend told me a number
- 24:39Speaker 2: that I thought was quite high, right, and I felt
- 24:41Speaker 2: weird about it.
- 24:42Speaker 1: And I was like, m.
- 24:44Speaker 2: But then you know, like what if my number was
- 24:49Speaker 2: very close to the same. Yeah, she also has like
- 24:52Speaker 2: every right to feel if you're about it, but also
- 24:54Speaker 2: said you said your soft yet, but I've also slept
- 24:56Speaker 2: with like that, But you feel like it's it's so
- 24:58Speaker 2: weird to also like what's the different between like deeping
- 25:01Speaker 2: it even further making like a statistic out of it,
- 25:05Speaker 2: Say you've slept with twelve people.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Yeah, what if you had a boyfriend for a year.
- 25:09Speaker 3: I was just we have the same brain and you've
- 25:11Speaker 3: got dick down three times a week for a year.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Whell yea, yeah, yeah, so let's yeah, that's such a
- 25:16Speaker 2: good point.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:17Speaker 2: So it's like, would you prefer someone's body count to be,
- 25:21Speaker 2: say fifteen, or would you prefer them to have one
- 25:24Speaker 2: boyfriend and have have had sex with them like a
- 25:26Speaker 2: thousand times? Yeah, like fifteen different people once each time,
- 25:30Speaker 2: or one boyfriend like a thousand times, and you know
- 25:32Speaker 2: they remember a lot of those times.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Here's the problem.
- 25:35Speaker 3: These guys saying these things that they care about BodyCount
- 25:38Speaker 3: don't really understand what they're saying. They just have this
- 25:41Speaker 3: like misogynistic mindset where they're like, no, like six and
- 25:45Speaker 3: more is shit, and they don't really deep to like
- 25:48Speaker 3: anything about it. The sex is a part of life
- 25:50Speaker 3: and it's enjoyable. Like I'm glad fucking my partner's got
- 25:52Speaker 3: to have sex before me and have orgasm, has try
- 25:54Speaker 3: different things, different positions, different decks, because that means they
- 25:59Speaker 3: can tell me what works for them, and they know
- 26:01Speaker 3: what they like and they like me. I feel like
- 26:03Speaker 3: there's some type of like niceness in knowing they've got
- 26:07Speaker 3: to experience as much as life as possible before me,
- 26:10Speaker 3: and now they're comfortable and happy with me, rather than
- 26:15Speaker 3: being a virgin and never had sex before, and I'm
- 26:17Speaker 3: all they know, like they've experienced all the fruits of
- 26:20Speaker 3: life and now we're in love.
- 26:22Speaker 2: You'd almost prefer actually them to have experience and then
- 26:24Speaker 2: come to you and be like, oh no, this is
- 26:26Speaker 2: my favorite instead of you be the first one and then,
- 26:29Speaker 2: like you say, them, be like, oh well, what does
- 26:31Speaker 2: other stuff be?
- 26:32Speaker 1: Like?
- 26:32Speaker 3: Yeah, you have that in the back of your mind.
- 26:33Speaker 3: You're like, I wonder what someone else would feel like.
- 26:35Speaker 3: I wonder what hugging or kissing someone else would feel like.
- 26:38Speaker 1: But they don't need to wonder that if they've had
- 26:40Speaker 1: that already.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Yeah, which is a very good thing about life, and
- 26:44Speaker 3: I think that gives a sense of security in a relationship.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Any men listening, I would like to quickly actually point
- 26:51Speaker 2: out if there is any men listening that do give
- 26:52Speaker 2: shit about BodyCount.
- 26:53Speaker 1: I doubt they're listening to this podcast, all twelve of you.
- 26:56Speaker 2: But if there's any men listening that do give a
- 26:58Speaker 2: shit about BodyCount, message us.
- 27:02Speaker 1: So how can they get in contact with this? Is
- 27:03Speaker 1: it even possible? Email? No? Yeah, email you can email us.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Yeah, email us that you give a shit and why
- 27:09Speaker 2: you give a shit, and we'll decide whether or not
- 27:11Speaker 2: it's valid.
- 27:12Speaker 1: We won't get a single email. Yeah, I don't think
- 27:13Speaker 1: were gonna get a single email.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Okay, you can join the Facebook okay, oh yeah, joined
- 27:16Speaker 2: Facebook group and you can be anonymous. Yeah, you can
- 27:18Speaker 2: be anonymous and we can approve it, Like doesn't matter.
- 27:20Speaker 2: So you can be all anonymous. You're not gonna get
- 27:22Speaker 2: any hate. But and then okay, females that have gone
- 27:25Speaker 2: through something similar to the girl that wrote that dilemma,
- 27:28Speaker 2: same thing, go join the Facebook group relatables about his
- 27:31Speaker 2: club unite.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Well, no, just relatable about his unite.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Yeah, on Facebook, and then maybe say your same thing,
- 27:36Speaker 2: Like what was the guy's reason other than the fact that,
- 27:39Speaker 2: like because every guy's just going to say like, oh,
- 27:42Speaker 2: that's fuck that you have this BodyCount, or that's fuck
- 27:44Speaker 2: that you had a threesome. But there's no other reason
- 27:46Speaker 2: than the fact that they just don't like the thought
- 27:48Speaker 2: that you've done it and that they probably haven't.
- 27:50Speaker 3: I think it just shows their insecure in themselves and
- 27:52Speaker 3: their ability in bed.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah, like that's all it shows. It's weird. It's the
- 27:57Speaker 1: weirdest concept. Now, if she did it while she was
- 27:59Speaker 1: with you, you then you can break up with them.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's talking about like we've talked about it before,
- 28:06Speaker 3: like growing up, like that's all teenage boys are exposed to.
- 28:10Speaker 3: We talk about like BodyCount. We've had one, you've had two,
- 28:12Speaker 3: And then we talk about girls when she's like, oh,
- 28:14Speaker 3: she's had so many that I don't want to sleep
- 28:17Speaker 3: with her. And like, luckily for Jake and I we
- 28:19Speaker 3: got out of that like boyish like malely man fucking group.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Yeah, like women, and we weren't ever really in one,
- 28:26Speaker 1: but I know plenty of them like that.
- 28:28Speaker 2: I do also think it had something to do with
- 28:31Speaker 2: probably like the houses that we grew up in, like
- 28:33Speaker 2: the households, because we have friends that we were like
- 28:36Speaker 2: would consider like great friends. They gave a shit not
- 28:40Speaker 2: how big a girls BodyCount was, but just how big
- 28:42Speaker 2: their own was, Like they would try and get that
- 28:44Speaker 2: number up. Yeah, but I've never once been like hungry,
- 28:48Speaker 2: like I've never wanted to chase just to get their
- 28:50Speaker 2: BodyCount out.
- 28:50Speaker 3: I think that's like props to the females in our lives.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Because someone came up to us the other day or
- 28:56Speaker 3: me and said like, oh, do you have a sister?
- 28:57Speaker 3: Do you have sisters? Like why do you think this way,
- 29:00Speaker 3: and I just like, oh no, I've froinaally got one brother.
- 29:02Speaker 3: But I think that's like props to my mom for
- 29:05Speaker 3: the way I was brought up.
- 29:06Speaker 2: True, Yeah, brothers also just a chill guy.
- 29:09Speaker 1: It's just a chill guy. But the same with you.
- 29:11Speaker 1: You've got sisters, got sisters.
- 29:12Speaker 3: I think having an older sisters the best mom stepmom,
- 29:14Speaker 3: and like it's a props to Like it's so it's
- 29:17Speaker 3: such a simple concept that like.
- 29:19Speaker 1: They're just equal.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Yeah, Like there's like like just gender shouldn't matter, like matters,
- 29:24Speaker 3: just everything is equal, no matter what. It's just it's
- 29:27Speaker 3: funny how that like people think they're better or they
- 29:30Speaker 3: deserve better than someone else, or they're allowed a BodyCount and.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Someone else is an allowed one. It's weird. I don't
- 29:35Speaker 1: get it. I have a kind of nearly a confession.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I think we had two confession sass last week. We
- 29:49Speaker 1: had two confession sais last week.
- 29:50Speaker 2: This is a confession of like, I don't know if
- 29:53Speaker 2: I've ever like it's okay, well, we I think compared
- 29:58Speaker 2: to other guys, we're decent at talking about our feelings
- 30:02Speaker 2: like with each other, right, so like with each other
- 30:05Speaker 2: on the podcast in this like safe space. I do
- 30:09Speaker 2: think that we're decent at it nowhere near perfect.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Obviously, And.
- 30:16Speaker 2: I Beth actually she just like suggested, she said, I
- 30:23Speaker 2: have something that could be a good deep topic, right,
- 30:25Speaker 2: and it was like a just like a one line
- 30:28Speaker 2: of quote that we could then go into. And when
- 30:32Speaker 2: she said it, I was like, holy fuck, that's me, okay,
- 30:38Speaker 2: And it is so a man who ignores his own
- 30:42Speaker 2: feelings will eventually ignore yours too. And as soon as
- 30:49Speaker 2: she said it, I was, like I said to her,
- 30:52Speaker 2: I was like, oh, that's me, really it is, and
- 30:55Speaker 2: it is me like it actually is, And I like Beth,
- 31:00Speaker 2: and I've had conversations about it, and it's something.
- 31:04Speaker 1: That I like really really want to work on.
- 31:09Speaker 2: And I don't know why I'm like that, apart from maybe,
- 31:15Speaker 2: you know, societal norms or upbringing like young childhood, Like
- 31:19Speaker 2: I don't actually know, but I think wanting to just
- 31:24Speaker 2: like confess that I do bottle shit up. And I
- 31:28Speaker 2: don't like deal with every feeling that I have that's
- 31:32Speaker 2: good or bad, you know, because to me it's unhealthy.
- 31:37Speaker 2: But a lot of the time it is a lot
- 31:38Speaker 2: easier too, maybe like if someone's done something to hurt
- 31:44Speaker 2: my feelings, but I know they didn't really mean to
- 31:47Speaker 2: hurt my feelings instead of actually just like you know,
- 31:50Speaker 2: saying it, and so then they know for next time.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I find it a lot easier, and I admit, like,
- 31:57Speaker 2: I find it so much easier to just be like
- 32:00Speaker 2: I probably.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Didn't mean it anyway, Like I'll let it slide like
- 32:03Speaker 1: that confrontation.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I'm not a fan of facing that the
- 32:08Speaker 2: feeling I'm feeling is actually what I'm feeling, because I
- 32:10Speaker 2: can ignore it pretty easy. And so yeah, that was
- 32:13Speaker 2: my that My confession is that I do think that
- 32:15Speaker 2: What about.
- 32:16Speaker 3: The second part of that? Do you think that eventually
- 32:18Speaker 3: you'll start to ignore your partner's feelings? I do, Oh really, yeah,
- 32:22Speaker 3: I don't know how well.
- 32:23Speaker 1: I don't know. And so like if likes say.
- 32:27Speaker 2: It's something that I like one one hundred percent do
- 32:30Speaker 2: Like if Beth has brings up something that's serious that's
- 32:32Speaker 2: like a hard topic to bring up and we have
- 32:34Speaker 2: a serious conversation about.
- 32:35Speaker 1: It, I don't know how to.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Like, I just don't know how to handle it most
- 32:43Speaker 2: of the time, right, Like I don't know what like
- 32:48Speaker 2: to do. So I kind of will just like, oh, listen,
- 32:52Speaker 2: and I think I'm doing the right thing by listening,
- 32:54Speaker 2: but I don't.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I don't do I don't do anything.
- 32:58Speaker 2: So that's like and that's just like me being open honest,
- 33:00Speaker 2: like that's like something that I need to work on,
- 33:02Speaker 2: like I because and the thing that made me think
- 33:05Speaker 2: that when she said that to me was like I
- 33:06Speaker 2: was like, oh, obviously, I yeah, Like I know I
- 33:10Speaker 2: don't handle my own feelings well.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Because I know that I'm dismissive. Yeah, And so I.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Was thinking, like, fuck, I feel like that like applies
- 33:17Speaker 2: to me to a certain extent.
- 33:19Speaker 3: I understand that when you're listening to these problems from
- 33:22Speaker 3: your partner, are they problems you caused or problems in
- 33:26Speaker 3: the world.
- 33:28Speaker 2: I would say both, okay, both, yeah, okay, problem definitely,
- 33:31Speaker 2: because I.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Was also going to say, like, listening is the best
- 33:35Speaker 3: thing to do sometimes.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, you.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Don't necessarily ever have to do anything other than listens
- 33:40Speaker 3: for a lot of the time.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:41Speaker 2: I actually watched a Ted talk on it about how
- 33:45Speaker 2: to feel your feelings really yeah, and the guy he
- 33:49Speaker 2: said that, so he's like a psychotherapist, and it's.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Not not all the time.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Do you need to like have an answer and he
- 34:02Speaker 2: told a couple different scenarios, right, and like, so let's
- 34:05Speaker 2: say I'm feeling like I need to get like a
- 34:07Speaker 2: lot better at voicing it, Like I just don't ever
- 34:08Speaker 2: voice it and I bottle it up. So like, let's
- 34:11Speaker 2: say one day I am feeling anxious. If Beth was
- 34:13Speaker 2: to ask me how I'm doing that day, I would
- 34:16Speaker 2: just say, like, yeah, I'm having a good day. Even
- 34:18Speaker 2: if I am feeling genuinely anxious, I will never ever
- 34:20Speaker 2: ever tell anyone I have no idea why, Like I
- 34:23Speaker 2: very like sometimes will mention it to you if I
- 34:25Speaker 2: have a little anxious morning. And then but so let's
- 34:28Speaker 2: say I build up the confidence to just be like,
- 34:30Speaker 2: oh I am anxious. Apparently sometimes it's like she doesn't
- 34:34Speaker 2: need an answer, but all she needs to just it's
- 34:37Speaker 2: just like one thing that can help, apparently is like
- 34:40Speaker 2: if she's just like, you know, okay, I hear you,
- 34:43Speaker 2: and like I know what that feels like, you know,
- 34:46Speaker 2: like I've been anxious before, and just like knowing that
- 34:49Speaker 2: she knows how I feel and she's feeling what I
- 34:50Speaker 2: feel is like apparently supposed to be a super comforting thing.
- 34:54Speaker 2: And the fact that it's not going to be fixed
- 34:55Speaker 2: straight away, and then I was like, yeah, fair enough.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Fuck and like I just went into a deep dive
- 34:59Speaker 2: on IT morning and I was like watching videos and shit, No.
- 35:02Speaker 3: I think that's one hundred percent right. I wouldn't have
- 35:04Speaker 3: gone to the fullest extent of saying like I hear you,
- 35:06Speaker 3: like there's something beautiful and just like venting and having
- 35:10Speaker 3: someone listen and saying that yeah, like yea, yeah, yeah,
- 35:12Speaker 3: now that makes sense. Yeah, Like just voicing like you
- 35:15Speaker 3: just did just then, like be just completely listening and
- 35:18Speaker 3: being like showing that I'm listening is enough for like
- 35:21Speaker 3: me if I'm trying to be the one venting.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Yeah, but now that's mad interesting, Hey, I and everyone's
- 35:26Speaker 1: different obviously, But I don't relate that much.
- 35:31Speaker 3: No, not really, Like I'm lucky enough to be in
- 35:35Speaker 3: a like mindset and position that I don't often get
- 35:40Speaker 3: that sad.
- 35:40Speaker 1: No, I don't often get that anxious. But when I do,
- 35:44Speaker 1: like I.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Tell the people around me who care. Like the other
- 35:48Speaker 3: day when we went to LA. The first two nights,
- 35:51Speaker 3: I was mad anxious for some reason, and I don't
- 35:53Speaker 3: know why.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I was just like sleeping in a different time zone.
- 35:55Speaker 3: I don't know that Airbnb was wigging my head out.
- 35:57Speaker 3: I couldn't put my finger on while I was anxious.
- 35:59Speaker 1: But I was.
- 36:00Speaker 3: I woke up that day I told you, Yeah, yeah,
- 36:02Speaker 3: I'm just And when I when I couldn't fall asleep,
- 36:05Speaker 3: I text my girlfriend. I said, like, I'm so anxious
- 36:07Speaker 3: right now. I don't know what's going on really yeah,
- 36:09Speaker 3: like straight up.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I see like I would. I would never do that, really, nah,
- 36:14Speaker 2: And I don't know why.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Yeah, Beth withoo.
- 36:16Speaker 2: She has done nothing to make me feel like she
- 36:18Speaker 2: wouldn't be fully supportive of that situation, and I know
- 36:21Speaker 2: she would be, but to me, something about like it's
- 36:26Speaker 2: almost like it makes it a real thing someone else knows.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Do you get true?
- 36:30Speaker 3: Do you do you feel like it's just like your
- 36:31Speaker 3: problem and you shouldn't burn other people?
- 36:34Speaker 1: Maybe I have I freagain. I probably I think you
- 36:37Speaker 1: actually got to therapy. I don't know.
- 36:38Speaker 2: But it's just like something that I've noticed my recent
- 36:41Speaker 2: I think that's.
- 36:41Speaker 3: Relatable for like so many men, it's just like before
- 36:44Speaker 3: having a partner in their life, Like you went through
- 36:47Speaker 3: sixteen years before you had a partner on and off
- 36:49Speaker 3: for a while, but like our coping mechanisms have always
- 36:54Speaker 3: been like I know this is going to go away,
- 36:57Speaker 3: or like this isn't that big of a deal, like
- 36:58Speaker 3: if I voiced it's going to be a deal, Like
- 37:00Speaker 3: I don't want to make a big deal out of it.
- 37:01Speaker 2: I don't like confrontation. I don't like talking about my feeling.
- 37:03Speaker 2: I don't think it's a big deal. Yeah, so I don't. Yeah,
- 37:06Speaker 2: I don't think it should be a big deal.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Yeah, And that's definitely how like all men are brought
- 37:11Speaker 3: up where I think especially we always talk about like
- 37:15Speaker 3: when we want to be dad. It's like my parenting style,
- 37:17Speaker 3: especially if I have kids, like it's going to be
- 37:20Speaker 3: more like the girls are so so normal to cry
- 37:23Speaker 3: and talk about it from a young agent like why
- 37:25Speaker 3: are you crying? And everything like that, And I think
- 37:27Speaker 3: there's this been this weird I don't know, mishappening parenting
- 37:32Speaker 3: where like when boys cry tough enough, Yeah, like that
- 37:35Speaker 3: wasn't that.
- 37:36Speaker 1: You shouldn't be crying after that. I don't cry from that.
- 37:38Speaker 1: I think it stems from that, Like I mean it does,
- 37:41Speaker 1: it probably does.
- 37:41Speaker 2: It has to really, Yeah, And it's just your coping
- 37:45Speaker 2: mechanism from all this life experience of all these problems
- 37:48Speaker 2: you've had in the past, and you've dealt with them
- 37:49Speaker 2: by yourself.
- 37:49Speaker 3: You don't feel like you need to burn anyone else.
- 37:51Speaker 3: You don't need to do anything else or anything like that.
- 37:54Speaker 2: But yeah, and I think, yeah, it's something that I
- 37:55Speaker 2: would like really like to work on because like let's say,
- 37:59Speaker 2: like like Joanna or someone that they bring up maybe
- 38:02Speaker 2: something like a way I'm making them feel, and then
- 38:06Speaker 2: I listen, and then I don't want to like go
- 38:10Speaker 2: through that conversation again, so I don't like bring it
- 38:13Speaker 2: up again to check how it's going, which is like
- 38:15Speaker 2: very unhealthy. And I and like I'm and I am
- 38:18Speaker 2: noticing that and like getting caught out on it, which
- 38:20Speaker 2: is like good. And when you get caught out on it,
- 38:22Speaker 2: you're like I'm kind of like fuck, like I just
- 38:24Speaker 2: feel like I'm doing everything wrong. But at the same time,
- 38:26Speaker 2: it's like I need this because I'm just gonna be
- 38:29Speaker 2: the same way I always have been and I'm not
- 38:31Speaker 2: going to change because I'm not just.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Gonna grow out of it. It's a more of a thing.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Of like if I was going to grow out of it,
- 38:37Speaker 2: I would have grown out of it by now, because
- 38:39Speaker 2: I'm like, you know, nearly twenty five front alone, fully
- 38:41Speaker 2: developing whatever, like I would.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Have grown out of it by now.
- 38:45Speaker 2: And I have a feel like the way I want
- 38:46Speaker 2: to look at it is more of like it's a
- 38:48Speaker 2: muscle and like it's gonna be shit to bring up
- 38:51Speaker 2: hard conversations. But just like bringing it up, I guess
- 38:55Speaker 2: is like the first step because once it's brought up,
- 38:56Speaker 2: then that person is like going to bounce off and
- 38:58Speaker 2: then you can don't open you up.
- 38:59Speaker 3: Like I think you're taking the first step, which is
- 39:02Speaker 3: the most important, is that you want to change because
- 39:04Speaker 3: you're seeing the impact on your relationship and the person
- 39:07Speaker 3: you love the most, and like although you're not good
- 39:09Speaker 3: at it, you're doing research, you're looking into ted talks,
- 39:12Speaker 3: and like you want to change, and I think that's
- 39:14Speaker 3: more important than anything.
- 39:16Speaker 1: So like it's just time. Yeah, I was.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Like, I'm mean and iron whether I wanted to bring
- 39:20Speaker 2: it up today, but I was like, I think it's
- 39:22Speaker 2: like because like beth Off like said to the top,
- 39:25Speaker 2: like said that topic and just like as a thing.
- 39:27Speaker 1: That we could talk about. But I was just like, fuck,
- 39:29Speaker 1: it just so much applies to me. I can't not
- 39:31Speaker 1: be honest. And just like I was like I have
- 39:33Speaker 1: to just say that.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Well, I think that's good to have your mindset as well,
- 39:36Speaker 3: because like a lot of boys would be, like a
- 39:39Speaker 3: lot of men would be like, that's.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Just the way I am.
- 39:42Speaker 2: See yeah, facts, but you don't have to be.
- 39:45Speaker 3: You don't have to be And like, I think that's
- 39:46Speaker 3: props to you as a person. Is like you're realizing
- 39:49Speaker 3: the impact on your relationship which you value so much,
- 39:52Speaker 3: and you're like I can change here, and you're using
- 39:54Speaker 3: like things you know work like muscle, how you've built muscle.
- 39:57Speaker 3: You're like, I've got to train this at like a
- 39:58Speaker 3: muscle to.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Get better at it. Where's a lot of guys just
- 40:01Speaker 1: be like here's a bed. Noah, that's just how I am. Yeah, feelings,
- 40:06Speaker 1: that's for fucking pussies, mate, Yeah.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Bed eh it's and like yeah, I don't know. I
- 40:12Speaker 2: just was thinking about it more and I was like, fuck,
- 40:15Speaker 2: like it's just unfortunately there's something that needs to be done. Eh.
- 40:19Speaker 1: I also think like I'm also not perfect. No, I mean,
- 40:23Speaker 1: no one is.
- 40:23Speaker 3: There's certain moments where like what resonated with me was like, oh,
- 40:26Speaker 3: have a tough conversation, and then rather than bring it
- 40:30Speaker 3: up again, I'll be like, oh, no, it's probably good.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:32Speaker 2: See, like I'll just assume that it's fine, which is
- 40:34Speaker 2: like quite rude to be honest, Like, it is really
- 40:37Speaker 2: rude to just not bring it up and like I
- 40:39Speaker 2: do that to have them, yeah, like to have them
- 40:43Speaker 2: need to bring it up again, Like I'm trying to think,
- 40:44Speaker 2: because I am so good at dismissing stuff, I never
- 40:47Speaker 2: bring stuff up, so basically it seems like I never
- 40:50Speaker 2: have an issue.
- 40:51Speaker 1: You know. It's like I'm not a human.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Whereas let's say just something that may not be a
- 40:56Speaker 2: big deal to you or Juanna or Beth. If I
- 40:58Speaker 2: was to bring it up and like you guys hear me,
- 41:02Speaker 2: and then if I need to bring it up again,
- 41:04Speaker 2: that would feel like shit. It's like I would you
- 41:06Speaker 2: would prefer someone to check in and be like, oh,
- 41:08Speaker 2: how is that going, and it would just go.
- 41:10Speaker 1: It would go a long way.
- 41:11Speaker 2: So I need to Yeah, it goes both ways. Like
- 41:13Speaker 2: I need to bring shit up when I'm feeling it,
- 41:15Speaker 2: but also if someone brings up something with me, I
- 41:17Speaker 2: need to be like I need to learn how to
- 41:19Speaker 2: like almost feel what they're feeling, and just so I
- 41:22Speaker 2: appreciate the fact that they brought it up with me
- 41:23Speaker 2: and that it was a hard thing to do and
- 41:24Speaker 2: then remember.
- 41:25Speaker 1: To be like, oh, how is that going.
- 41:27Speaker 3: I think that's a takeaway for me as well, because
- 41:29Speaker 3: it takes a certain amount of strength to bring up
- 41:31Speaker 3: something a tricky conversation the first time, and if I'm
- 41:34Speaker 3: not doing my part in the relationship to check in
- 41:36Speaker 3: on that, it takes a stupid amount of strength to
- 41:39Speaker 3: bring it up twice.
- 41:40Speaker 1: The second times worse.
- 41:41Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's like, fuck, my half of the relationship
- 41:44Speaker 3: should be checking in, shouldn't it.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Don't even get me started on the third time. That
- 41:49Speaker 1: doesn't end well exactly.
- 41:51Speaker 2: But yeah, So I mean I think it's kind of
- 41:52Speaker 2: nice to like be open and just like obviously we're
- 41:55Speaker 2: not perfect.
- 41:56Speaker 1: And I guess you're just a chill gun.
- 42:00Speaker 2: And that's so maybe the thing about this chill guy
- 42:02Speaker 2: meme as well as kind of like I think it's
- 42:05Speaker 2: hilarious obviously because we can relate to it, and you know,
- 42:08Speaker 2: like we would the world just being super chill would
- 42:11Speaker 2: be great for us. Yeah, But like also I kind
- 42:15Speaker 2: of thought, I don't want to give this chill guy thing,
- 42:17Speaker 2: like I want to really make sure it's a joke yeah,
- 42:20Speaker 2: and like that we think it is a joke and
- 42:21Speaker 2: that like you know, it's not just a chill thing
- 42:24Speaker 2: to maybe not remember to reply to your girlfriend like
- 42:27Speaker 2: every time, you know, if you do it once every
- 42:28Speaker 2: now and then, like that's fair, you did just forget.
- 42:30Speaker 1: But just like all those different things, like you want
- 42:32Speaker 1: a platform it for the right reason.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, you want a platform it because you think
- 42:36Speaker 2: it's a joke that every time a guy does something
- 42:38Speaker 2: he's like, yeah, but I'm just a chill dude, like
- 42:39Speaker 2: I'm just going.
- 42:40Speaker 1: With the flow, like it's fucking dumb. Yeah.
- 42:42Speaker 2: So yeah, I guess, pretty full circle moment.
- 42:44Speaker 1: But yeah, well I think we're gonna call this episode
- 42:46Speaker 1: I'm just a chill guy. I'm just a chill guy.
- 42:52Speaker 1: And then in brackets or am I Well?
- 42:54Speaker 3: To finish off the episode, Jake, do you want to
- 42:56Speaker 3: piss off some chill men?
- 42:58Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 43:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I do want to piss off some chill men.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Completely forgot about this. I didn't get that one. Completely
- 43:08Speaker 1: forgot about this. One hundred and one ways to Piss
- 43:11Speaker 1: men off.
- 43:12Speaker 2: This is a good one too. One hundred and one
- 43:14Speaker 2: Ways to Piss Men Off, Page twelve. Okay, so the
- 43:20Speaker 2: bottom says, if this is not true when you say it,
- 43:23Speaker 2: it will be by the time you've finished speaking and
- 43:27Speaker 2: you say to a man, quote, you seem to be
- 43:30Speaker 2: having a lot of feelings right now.
- 43:34Speaker 1: I couldn't hear that you're having a lot of feelings.
- 43:38Speaker 1: Not hear that.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Hashtag If a woman says a hashtag women in malefields.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Coming up soon.
- 43:48Speaker 3: We love your five started shore.
- 43:52Speaker 1: Patreon's even better. I'll just go try it. I promised
- 43:55Speaker 1: it's better.
- 43:55Speaker 3: Oh I found out. I'll put the link in this episode.
- 43:58Speaker 3: You can listen to Patreon episodes on Spotify.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Oh right, okay, and it just takes you to like
- 44:02Speaker 2: a different yeah, yeah, yeah, it just takes you to
- 44:04Speaker 2: a different page on Spotify. Oh so you just go
- 44:06Speaker 2: pay on Patreon and then you can have them literally
- 44:08Speaker 2: so you can stay on the Spotify.
- 44:09Speaker 1: It's a different page.
- 44:10Speaker 3: You think we thought that you could get them all
- 44:12Speaker 3: on our relatables page. You're listening right now, But it's

- 44:16Speaker 3: anyone on Patreon wants to listen on Spotify. So you're
- 44:19Speaker 3: still on the Spotify app. Love that Bob is your uncle,
- 44:21Speaker 3: but you can't get video episodes on there, so you've
- 44:23Speaker 3: gotta get Patreon for video.
- 44:24Speaker 1: That's all right. A lot of people like to listen
- 44:25Speaker 1: anywhere in the car.
- 44:26Speaker 3: If you're driving right now, don't crash, so yeah,
