- 0:50Speaker 5: I just moved. I moved everything in a week. I
- 0:52Speaker 5: like that you have a giant thing of bird shit
- 0:54Speaker 5: on your window over there.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I noticed that.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that was their welcome that was their welcome presents. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:01Speaker 2: covered in shit already.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Yeah. I have a question, being as this is Blazed
- 1:07Speaker 1: and confused, aren't you missing a component of your show? Yeah?
- 1:12Speaker 2: Well we decided to be nice and do it not
- 1:14Speaker 2: in front of you. So, yeah, we're discussing it, you know.
- 1:17Speaker 2: So we went upstairs real quick and got ready for
- 1:21Speaker 2: the first part of the name of the show.
- 1:23Speaker 5: We can roll right into this conversation.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Then, have you ever been like very high in front
- 1:28Speaker 2: of your parents other than right now that you could
- 1:31Speaker 2: come clean about.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Like very well ish?
- 1:34Speaker 3: Maybe maybe once or twice, but like it would be
- 1:37Speaker 3: like a party like my sister was hosting or something.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Everyone else was drinking. I was hitting my pen. Yeah,
- 1:42Speaker 3: but that's different though. I mean, the pen shouldn't count,
- 1:44Speaker 3: but I guess it does.
- 1:45Speaker 2: He does count. Yeah, I know. Yeah, Now what about you? Well,
- 1:50Speaker 2: I always used to go down the street with the
- 1:52Speaker 2: neighborhood friends, and that's like the first time I ever
- 1:56Speaker 2: smoked marijuana was down there. And I do remember one
- 1:58Speaker 2: time coming home and it wasn't mom for the Mother's
- 2:01Speaker 2: Day episode.
- 2:02Speaker 5: It was the dad. We'll get him for the Father's episode.
- 2:05Speaker 2: But he said I came home and he goes, you
- 2:08Speaker 2: smell like fire, And I said, fire fire, Oh, we
- 2:13Speaker 2: had we had a bonfire. Goes smells like fire like
- 2:17Speaker 2: that you thought it was fire? Also, how old were
- 2:19Speaker 2: you when this was going on.
- 2:21Speaker 5: I didn't smoke whet.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Until I was like I graduated high school, that was
- 2:25Speaker 2: what eighteen.
- 2:26Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, you did it before me.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I did not. That's very true. Oh that's bald.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I didn't smoke at all up until I was like
- 2:37Speaker 3: twenty four.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Yeah, what do you want to medal?
- 2:39Speaker 2: No, I'm just saying I'm better than you. Congrats, congratulations.
- 2:45Speaker 6: No.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Also, you know down the street, we would also, I mean,
- 2:47Speaker 2: we would always sit there and smoke and yeah, YadA, YadA, YadA,
- 2:51Speaker 2: but I would get like, we would get so baked,
- 2:54Speaker 2: and then we would order so much food. We used
- 2:57Speaker 2: to order so much food McDonald's door dash, so much food.
- 3:01Speaker 2: We would get bundle boxes and just sit there and
- 3:03Speaker 2: stuff our freaking faces. And then I would come home
- 3:06Speaker 2: and I'd be in the bathroom sick all night. But
- 3:08Speaker 2: you people would used to think that I was drunk,
- 3:11Speaker 2: coming home drunk.
- 3:11Speaker 1: And it wasn't that I was drunk. It was that
- 3:13Speaker 1: I was just so high and full of food that
- 3:16Speaker 1: I would come home and be all full of something. Yeah. Though.
- 3:20Speaker 7: Blazed and Confused podcast with Becker and Joel. The Trivia
- 3:24Speaker 7: podcast where truth, Fury and THHC glide. Let's spark your
- 3:31Speaker 7: curiosity and light up some knowledge. Though Blazed and Confused
- 3:36Speaker 7: podcast with Becker and Joel starts out, Now.
- 3:41Speaker 5: I was moving my movers.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I've discovered I don't even know if I told you
- 3:45Speaker 2: this mom on the Mother's Day episode, I think the
- 3:47Speaker 2: movers dropped a box of records.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Yes, he did tell us, so, yeah, it took us
- 3:53Speaker 1: an hour and a half just to box up his records.
- 3:57Speaker 1: And can I say now he moved last Monday. Yeah,
- 4:00Speaker 1: the Wednesday before. I was like, okay, I'm gonna come
- 4:03Speaker 1: over and help you, you know, pack your stuff. He
- 4:07Speaker 1: hadn't started. I'm like, what the hell are you doing?
- 4:10Speaker 2: Can I tell you, as his friend, we have been
- 4:12Speaker 2: trying to help him, yes, start, Yeah, dude. I was like, dude,
- 4:17Speaker 2: even if it's like late in the evening after your
- 4:19Speaker 2: gig or something, I'll come over and just yeah, yeah, away,
- 4:21Speaker 2: I live right up the street from you.
- 4:23Speaker 1: And he was like, no, I appreciate it. I appreciate
- 4:25Speaker 1: it all.
- 4:26Speaker 8: Do it.
- 4:26Speaker 3: No, I just he did tell me he was going
- 4:28Speaker 3: to start the day you were coming over to help him,
- 4:30Speaker 3: which like a Wednesday or yeah, but yeah, we did.
- 4:32Speaker 1: The kitchen, and we did the laundry room pull mine.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I want to know.
- 4:36Speaker 3: I want a real answer, though, like why why didn't
- 4:39Speaker 3: you start packing up early?
- 4:41Speaker 1: You can? I guess God.
- 4:43Speaker 3: I think it's because you like when people come over
- 4:46Speaker 3: and see your place a certain way and it's like
- 4:48Speaker 3: very cool, and it's very Joel. It's your Joel atmosphere.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It has nothing to do about it.
- 4:53Speaker 3: If stuff's just kind of hanging out in boxes and
- 4:55Speaker 3: off the walls, it doesn't feel like quite you know,
- 4:57Speaker 3: like write the vibe.
- 4:59Speaker 2: First off, it has no thing to do with people
- 5:01Speaker 2: coming over and it has to be a certain way.
- 5:03Speaker 2: It has everything to do with how I freaking want it,
- 5:06Speaker 2: and I don't want to live my life out of boxes.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Same thing with moving into a place.
- 5:09Speaker 2: We talked about this earlier, just doing me behind the
- 5:11Speaker 2: scenes here, but man, I had this place unpacked in
- 5:16Speaker 2: two days, pretty much every box.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Say we were here Tuesday, and I was impressed with
- 5:21Speaker 1: what you had done.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Well because I just even last night, I'm working till
- 5:24Speaker 2: midnight on this room, just pulling shit out because I need.
- 5:27Speaker 5: To get it done.
- 5:28Speaker 2: How can people live out of boxes? You got to
- 5:30Speaker 2: do it fast when you move out I don't know.
- 5:32Speaker 2: It is pretty impressive. Like two days ago, this wasn't here,
- 5:35Speaker 2: you know what I mean. We were kind of discussing
- 5:36Speaker 2: like should we not do this?
- 5:37Speaker 5: Well, so should we move it? And then look what
- 5:39Speaker 5: you've done? Oh thank you?
- 5:40Speaker 1: It work one.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Yeah, but they dropped a freaking box of records. You know,
- 5:44Speaker 5: I screwed up. What did you do about that? Did
- 5:47Speaker 5: you do nothing? I know what am I supposed to do?
- 5:49Speaker 1: Well? What was the company called?
- 5:50Speaker 3: It was like do something in a truck, right, isn't
- 5:55Speaker 3: that what it was. I'm just saying, yeah, maybe they
- 5:59Speaker 3: should have had three or four.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Well there was three of them. There was three of them.
- 6:03Speaker 2: The worst part is so there was one box of
- 6:04Speaker 2: vinyl that I saw when I was unpacking them. I
- 6:07Speaker 2: had like twenty eight boxes of records, but I saw
- 6:09Speaker 2: when I was unpacking them there was one that was
- 6:11Speaker 2: like all taped up, and I thought, I didn't tape
- 6:14Speaker 2: that box strange, And then sure enough, when I got
- 6:17Speaker 2: to box seventeen, I opened it up and it was
- 6:19Speaker 2: the only one that was really out order, and all
- 6:23Speaker 2: the records were like facing different ways.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Yeah, so you know.
- 6:27Speaker 1: What I though, If that's your worst problem, it's not
- 6:30Speaker 1: so bad.
- 6:31Speaker 5: Oh so I can't think of anything else that showed
- 6:34Speaker 5: up broken.
- 6:35Speaker 2: So how did you did you tip your movers or
- 6:39Speaker 2: how did that work out?
- 6:40Speaker 5: It was funny. So I was texting them what am
- 6:41Speaker 5: I supposed to do with the tip?
- 6:43Speaker 2: And I was so worried about it, And as soon
- 6:44Speaker 2: as their payment went through, they were like, all right's ayah,
- 6:47Speaker 2: oh wow yeah.
- 6:48Speaker 5: So I'm like, yeah bye.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Just as a note, Like the times that Joel has
- 6:53Speaker 3: moved before, he would give the movers pizza and weed.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Yeah, We've talked about. I gave them weed at the end.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I still get the movers weed at the end of
- 7:01Speaker 2: the very at the end.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Oh my god, weed and beer. Can I have a question?
- 7:06Speaker 3: So have you ever Joel's mom, Melanie?
- 7:09Speaker 1: Have you ever?
- 7:11Speaker 7: What?
- 7:11Speaker 1: No? Ever? Ever?
- 7:13Speaker 5: Bullshit?
- 7:14Speaker 1: But no, it's not.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Is that possible?
- 7:16Speaker 1: One time I will I will say, Joel gave me
- 7:20Speaker 1: pot cookies and I eat one of those. How'd that go?
- 7:24Speaker 1: It's all right? I don't like to be out of control.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Well no, but were you having too much fun?
- 7:32Speaker 1: Not really?
- 7:34Speaker 5: I don't want you to have too much fun.
- 7:36Speaker 1: And enjoy There's no judgment, you know, it's just not
- 7:39Speaker 1: my thing.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not my mom's thing either, Right, mom? You
- 7:42Speaker 3: have never I have never never once, never one, none,
- 7:46Speaker 3: And you grew up in what the seventies?
- 7:48Speaker 1: Yeah, sure, sixties.
- 7:52Speaker 5: Hopefully that's not one of your questions for me today.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I don't know what you're you were born, but never
- 7:57Speaker 1: in your head? Never in school? Never? No, no, no.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I was a good girl. Yeah.
- 8:04Speaker 5: When did you have your first beer?
- 8:06Speaker 6: Probably after it was either twelfth grade or after that.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Oh wow, Yeah, I said I was a good girl.
- 8:18Speaker 1: That's my charming mom. By the way, thank you very much.
- 8:22Speaker 5: Yeah you said I know that. You said this.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Never did drugs either, did your father? Yeah? No?
- 8:27Speaker 5: Another purist, Yeah we didn't.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I no, no, no, no, no, it's not that.
- 8:32Speaker 5: But people say never did drugs like that means weed too.
- 8:35Speaker 1: We anything. I don't know anything.
- 8:37Speaker 5: I never even think about that.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I never smoked a planet. Yeah.
- 8:40Speaker 6: I did smoke cigarettes, the regular cigarettes. It was like
- 8:43Speaker 6: twenty one.
- 8:43Speaker 8: You know.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I quit that.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I quit vaping a year ago, and I do that
- 8:47Speaker 2: kind of makes me. Quitting vaping has since made me
- 8:50Speaker 2: feel like a drug addict, because every now and then
- 8:52Speaker 2: I walk around and.
- 8:53Speaker 5: I'm like, man, what I wouldn't give to just smoke a.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Freaking something right now, now, let me smoke anything, Give
- 8:58Speaker 2: me a smoke.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Quit six years ago, and I miss it, really, but.
- 9:05Speaker 3: It's so much better for you not to it is
- 9:08Speaker 3: it is. I'm coming up on two years, you know,
- 9:10Speaker 3: completely hypnotized still in my Joel loves hearing about that.
- 9:14Speaker 1: I do.
- 9:15Speaker 5: I just think that's a crock of It worked for me,
- 9:18Speaker 5: it can work for you.
- 9:19Speaker 1: He was hypnotized.
- 9:21Speaker 2: They waved a clock in front of his face and
- 9:22Speaker 2: it solved all his problems.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Crazy, So, how do you want to do this show today?
- 9:29Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't know.
- 9:30Speaker 3: We were just kind of loosely planning our Mother's Day
- 9:32Speaker 3: episode we did. We have them asking us questions about them, Yeah,
- 9:36Speaker 3: about like how well do.
- 9:38Speaker 1: How well do you know?
- 9:40Speaker 5: How well do you know your mom?
- 9:42Speaker 1: Well do you know your mouth?
- 9:43Speaker 2: And then we were supposed to give you questions too,
- 9:45Speaker 2: of like how well do you know us?
- 9:47Speaker 5: But he didn't come prepared at all, of course not,
- 9:50Speaker 5: but I did. I had a little preoccupied.
- 9:53Speaker 1: In my defense, that's fine. Are we doing like the
- 9:56Speaker 1: regular like rapid round thing too? Like trivia?
- 9:59Speaker 5: Also prepared that just in case you wanted to.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Why don't we start with the random thoughts. I'll give
- 10:03Speaker 2: you some random thoughts as a homeowner.
- 10:05Speaker 1: You've been doing random thoughts for the past five minutes.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I mean the whole podcast is one big random thought.
- 10:11Speaker 2: You should know this by now.
- 10:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I get the button at least. I mean, can
- 10:14Speaker 5: we make this sort of a show blazed and confused
- 10:17Speaker 5: random thoughts?
- 10:20Speaker 2: One question, after a week of living in a home
- 10:23Speaker 2: that I'm tired of hearing, what do you want me
- 10:25Speaker 2: to do with my shoes?
- 10:26Speaker 1: I don't care?
- 10:27Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I got here.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Well you said I don't give a shed look, and
- 10:32Speaker 3: I'm like, well, I think you would think differently if
- 10:33Speaker 3: you had carpeting. If you had carpeting, like that, stuff
- 10:35Speaker 3: just sticks around. Yeah, but now you have. You've got floors,
- 10:40Speaker 3: bare floors. Floors are floors, and shoes or shoes, you.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Should be able to keep them on anywhere you don't
- 10:45Speaker 2: want the people that are insistent that you got to
- 10:47Speaker 2: take them off?
- 10:50Speaker 5: Are you one of those?
- 10:51Speaker 8: Not me?
- 10:52Speaker 1: My son takes them off when he comes to my house.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, do you have to?
- 10:57Speaker 2: But like guests, though, do you want random people's on
- 11:00Speaker 2: your floor?
- 11:01Speaker 1: No?
- 11:01Speaker 5: I rather have their shoe be there even if it
- 11:03Speaker 5: was outside.
- 11:03Speaker 3: What if you're a foot guy too, So like, oh
- 11:06Speaker 3: my god, here's the thing I have a question about this.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Is it the socks or the bare feet that you
- 11:12Speaker 3: can't stand? Or is it both?
- 11:13Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I don't think that you should have to sit there
- 11:17Speaker 2: and pry your shoe off if you go to some
- 11:19Speaker 2: somebody else's house.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Okay, well, don't ever go to Japan.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Japan what you can't enter any yeah taking your shoes?
- 11:27Speaker 3: Yeah yeah really yeah, yeah, I hate there.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Well, you know over there in Asia, they weren't wearing
- 11:33Speaker 2: masks before it was cool, like before COVID and all that.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Yeah they were.
- 11:39Speaker 5: We should move on, yep, yeah, yeah, we want to
- 11:42Speaker 5: keep this show. All right, let's proceed. Yeah, right, thoughts.
- 11:46Speaker 3: You know, I was at the Wah Wah the other
- 11:48Speaker 3: day and I noticed that it was completely packed. It's
- 11:51Speaker 3: in the morning. People are getting gas. Every single freaking
- 11:54Speaker 3: fuel whatever it's called gas that costs four dollars forty
- 11:57Speaker 3: five cents. You mean, oh, actually it's four sixty over
- 11:59Speaker 3: by my house, sixty for sixty five?
- 12:05Speaker 1: How high can we go?
- 12:07Speaker 3: We like it? Just not on gash exactly. But anyway,
- 12:11Speaker 3: the gas pumps are all full. It's really really you know,
- 12:14Speaker 3: it's people are getting trying to get to work. And
- 12:17Speaker 3: I noticed that people were parked at the pump but
- 12:20Speaker 3: weren't pumping their gas and they weren't in their car.
- 12:22Speaker 3: People were parking their cars at the pump and like
- 12:25Speaker 3: running in and like getting breakfast and stuff like don't
- 12:28Speaker 3: you think they should pump their gas, move their car
- 12:31Speaker 3: and park it somewhere else? Like why would you? I
- 12:34Speaker 3: was waiting like fifteen minutes for this one guy to leave.
- 12:36Speaker 3: I mean, everyone was doing it. I feel like it
- 12:38Speaker 3: depends on what time of day it was. Gridlock in
- 12:40Speaker 3: the parking lot was like eight am.
- 12:41Speaker 1: You know it have nuts. I have to cry. I'm sorry. Wow.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I mean, honestly, I've done that.
- 12:48Speaker 5: I've done that before. Though I've done that too.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I did it the other night, but it was like
- 12:52Speaker 2: eleven o'clock at night and there was no one else there. Honestly,
- 12:54Speaker 2: I think that's got to be illegal. I don't think
- 12:57Speaker 2: that's legal. If you start pumping your gas, no they
- 13:00Speaker 2: you said it and then go inside.
- 13:02Speaker 3: They were pumping their gas. They didn't even start that yet.
- 13:05Speaker 3: They were just like parking their car, going in prepaying
- 13:08Speaker 3: for gas or whatever, getting food, and then they were
- 13:09Speaker 3: coming out. Then they were pumping their gas. Yeah, real annoying.
- 13:14Speaker 3: I don't understand why you have to go into a
- 13:16Speaker 3: gas station and pay for your gas in twenty twenty, so.
- 13:18Speaker 5: They were getting food and stuff. Yeah, but still you
- 13:20Speaker 5: got to go inside to pay for your gas.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Like one, it's one thing if you start your gas
- 13:24Speaker 2: and then go inside and shop while your g it
- 13:27Speaker 2: is But I do that?
- 13:29Speaker 1: Good? Do you do that? I submitted to a crime.
- 13:32Speaker 1: But don't you do that.
- 13:33Speaker 5: I'm like my mom. I'm a good person.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Yeah, sure right. I never pumped gas.
- 13:37Speaker 5: Yeah, she doesn't do it. You don't do that. No,
- 13:40Speaker 5: you don't like that.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I just don't do it.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Mister Becker's raising he must be the gas pumper. He's
- 13:46Speaker 2: the guy I will say. I will say he's a
- 13:48Speaker 2: gas pump.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Say what you will.
- 13:50Speaker 2: About New Jersey. They're onto something with not having to
- 13:53Speaker 2: pump your gas. Yeah, I mean somebody else does it.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Point it's two degrees out, that's nice. Now are you
- 13:58Speaker 2: supposed to tip that guy?
- 13:58Speaker 1: Nowadays?
- 13:59Speaker 2: Everybody wants a freaking tip? Does a gas guy I
- 14:01Speaker 2: want to tip. You're gonna give him pizza and weed. God,
- 14:05Speaker 2: let me do another random thought. Sure, I went to
- 14:07Speaker 2: Costco yesterday for like the first time ever. I've never
- 14:10Speaker 2: been to Costco. What an overwhelming experience. That was too
- 14:14Speaker 2: many freaking people everywhere you turn. There's eleven people there. Yeah,
- 14:18Speaker 2: it's it's it's really overwhelming. You go on a good
- 14:20Speaker 2: day though, there's samples everywhere.
- 14:22Speaker 1: There was sample lunch there, Yeah, big deal.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Everybody's like, oh, you got to go in and get
- 14:26Speaker 2: the shitty hot dog for a dollar ninety five or
- 14:29Speaker 2: whatever it is.
- 14:29Speaker 3: They like make like good food right on, like little
- 14:32Speaker 3: mini grills and he cares.
- 14:33Speaker 5: It's there's people every you can't even move. I'm telling
- 14:37Speaker 5: you it's awful.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Did you join Did you join? No? No, no.
- 14:41Speaker 2: My roommate now has a Costco membership. So we went
- 14:43Speaker 2: yesterday where like, we should stock up this house. So
- 14:45Speaker 2: we spent three hundred dollars and we got a ridiculous
- 14:47Speaker 2: amount of food. That's one thing I will say. The
- 14:49Speaker 2: deals are crazy, however, the people overload a lot of
- 14:53Speaker 2: you know, interesting people. What else did you buy in
- 14:55Speaker 2: bulk though?
- 14:56Speaker 3: Did you buy like a bunch of tissues, you know,
- 14:58Speaker 3: tissues or no paper, towels, nothing.
- 15:02Speaker 5: Uh what did we buy?
- 15:03Speaker 2: You know, like pizzas, beans, big beans, baked beans? I
- 15:08Speaker 2: do like some baked beans are so good. Green beans,
- 15:11Speaker 2: green beans. No, we don't buy beans. We didn't buy
- 15:13Speaker 2: any beans or any vegetables. You know, Like we got
- 15:15Speaker 2: like a you know, a big three pack of hot
- 15:18Speaker 2: dogs is like eleven dollars. Can't beat that freeze two
- 15:21Speaker 2: of them, keep one of them. Yeah, I don't know.
- 15:23Speaker 2: We needs for a while. But Costco don't understand the
- 15:26Speaker 2: hype with the Costco too many freaking people. Maybe it's
- 15:29Speaker 2: because I went on a Sunday too. They say that
- 15:31Speaker 2: Sunday is like the ther paper.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I hope he got gas while you
- 15:35Speaker 1: were there.
- 15:36Speaker 2: We did, but we had to sit and wait to
- 15:38Speaker 2: get gas because the gas was four eleven or something.
- 15:41Speaker 1: That's big savings. Yeah crazy? Is that nuts? The gas
- 15:46Speaker 1: is four eleven? And there's a line speaking of that guy.
- 15:50Speaker 3: His approval rating right now thirty four percent, which I
- 15:55Speaker 3: think is pretty low.
- 15:57Speaker 2: So you know, again, I'm not a number guy. But
- 15:59Speaker 2: does that mean I'm like thirty four out of one
- 16:02Speaker 2: hundred thirty?
- 16:04Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 16:04Speaker 1: Basically Okay, that's not a lot, you get it.
- 16:06Speaker 5: Yeah, that seems pretty low.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not good. I think it's historically low. They
- 16:12Speaker 3: use the word dismal dismal. Yeah, now that's a vocab word.
- 16:16Speaker 3: I don't remember the definition of dismal. Sounds bad, means
- 16:20Speaker 3: like poor, right, like blah bad dismal dismal. I don't know.
- 16:25Speaker 3: I couldn't tell you what else happened over the weekend. Oh,
- 16:29Speaker 3: this guy, he solved a Rubik's cube in thirty twenty
- 16:32Speaker 3: three seconds while skydiving.
- 16:35Speaker 5: You went skydiving, right, I did? Did you solve a
- 16:38Speaker 5: rubick scube? I did not?
- 16:39Speaker 1: Did you saw it?
- 16:39Speaker 5: Did you ever slve oneving?
- 16:42Speaker 2: Did I ever solve a rubic scube? Not skydiving? No? No, no,
- 16:47Speaker 2: I've had a few rubickscubes. I don't get that, you know,
- 16:50Speaker 2: and that's just you stare at that for hours and
- 16:52Speaker 2: hours and hours. Do people find that fun? I guess
- 16:55Speaker 2: if you can crank it out in two seconds, it's fun.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Maybe we should move on, all right, let's ask some
- 17:02Speaker 2: questions here. Moms are going to ask us questions about themselves,
- 17:06Speaker 2: and my mom's gonna go first.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Do you want to hit the button or anything. Do
- 17:09Speaker 1: we have anything ready to go? Question number one? Question
- 17:14Speaker 1: number one, just just give me a moment, please, sure.
- 17:18Speaker 6: How many driving tickets did I have in my lifetime?
- 17:22Speaker 2: Ooh, all right, now, I know my dad has had
- 17:29Speaker 2: a few.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Now we should know.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Too that your mom is asking about how many speeding
- 17:38Speaker 2: tickets she's had. However, she tells me and everybody what
- 17:42Speaker 2: you didn't You didn't drive here, right, you had mister
- 17:45Speaker 2: Becker drive you here because you don't drive.
- 17:47Speaker 1: That's over the past twenty years I have. I don't
- 17:50Speaker 1: drive that much, gotcha. Okay, So they don't really like that.
- 17:53Speaker 2: You know, you're talking about the tickets years ago or
- 17:55Speaker 2: the tickets. Figure it out, Okay, I'm just how trying to.
- 18:00Speaker 1: It's not a numbers guy that time. We're not going
- 18:04Speaker 1: to give her any clues.
- 18:05Speaker 3: So I know dad's had a few. I'm not giving
- 18:08Speaker 3: my dad shit. But I feel like you had the
- 18:10Speaker 3: complete opposite. I feel like you've had none. I don't
- 18:12Speaker 3: think you've ever had a speeding ticket before?
- 18:15Speaker 1: Is that right? That is incorrect?
- 18:17Speaker 8: Oh, I had one. You had one twenty dollars ticket.
- 18:22Speaker 8: I think twenty dollars ticket nowadays. Geez I never told
- 18:25Speaker 8: my parents either. They would have killed me.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Wow.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Wow, So you just never told them you didn't get
- 18:32Speaker 3: anything in the mail? Or did you like intercept the mail?
- 18:35Speaker 3: Or did things not come in the mail back then?
- 18:37Speaker 1: I don't know. What do they have mail? I don't know.
- 18:38Speaker 1: It's too many questions. I don't know. I'm just joking.
- 18:42Speaker 6: Question too, What subject did I have in high school
- 18:47Speaker 6: that they don't teach anymore?
- 18:49Speaker 1: Ooh?
- 18:53Speaker 3: What subject do they have that she have in high
- 18:55Speaker 3: school that they don't teach anymore?
- 18:58Speaker 1: There is a couple of answers.
- 19:00Speaker 5: I bet, but this is which one she had?
- 19:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, I'm just saying, now, if you think
- 19:07Speaker 1: about it, I think you do. I have a lifeline.
- 19:09Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Could I ask dad for help? Maybe he? I don't
- 19:14Speaker 1: think he knows.
- 19:15Speaker 5: My dad's face is very telling right now.
- 19:19Speaker 1: All right, he's gonna give a guess. I think.
- 19:24Speaker 5: He's whispering. Oh, all right, that's a good answer. Okay,
- 19:26Speaker 5: what was his cursive like writing?
- 19:31Speaker 1: No? No, I don't think that's a class.
- 19:33Speaker 5: No, I don't think that's a class. They don't teach
- 19:36Speaker 5: that anything.
- 19:37Speaker 1: But she said, what class?
- 19:38Speaker 5: Okay, okay, okay, if you want my input here. I
- 19:40Speaker 5: think it's typing. That's what my dad just said too.
- 19:44Speaker 1: However, though, I think.
- 19:44Speaker 2: That they still teach that really though, because I had
- 19:47Speaker 2: type in class M in middle school. Actually they managed
- 19:51Speaker 2: to type in class.
- 19:52Speaker 5: I'm gonna go with typing.
- 19:55Speaker 1: In correct. I bet I know I better? Can I?
- 20:01Speaker 1: Can I say? Is it home?
- 20:03Speaker 5: Mech teach that too, do they? Yeah, it's just not
- 20:07Speaker 5: called that.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I had shorthand.
- 20:13Speaker 5: That was an actual class.
- 20:14Speaker 6: Oh yeah, And it was really nice to know because
- 20:17Speaker 6: you could write in shorthand in books and for your
- 20:20Speaker 6: next class you could write the answer down.
- 20:22Speaker 1: They couldn't tell what it was.
- 20:24Speaker 5: That's like its own language kind.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Of likes.
- 20:28Speaker 5: Can you say something in shorthand like that you would
- 20:30Speaker 5: have written? How do you say shorthand?
- 20:33Speaker 1: No?
- 20:33Speaker 5: No, shorthand is still English, isn't it?
- 20:35Speaker 1: It's just how you write it. It's not a language, Michael.
- 20:40Speaker 5: All right, idiot, even I know that, like.
- 20:45Speaker 1: It's a different language.
- 20:47Speaker 5: You are, like it's like shortened sentences.
- 20:49Speaker 2: You say something in shorthand, Well, it's still English. Can
- 20:54Speaker 2: you say something in shorthand? Joel, shut up now? Or
- 20:57Speaker 2: like should I do that? Is that in shorthand?
- 21:00Speaker 1: Wow? Let's get a question three. Question three?
- 21:05Speaker 6: What profession did I want to do when I was
- 21:08Speaker 6: in junior high school? What quession did I want to
- 21:12Speaker 6: be when I grew up?
- 21:13Speaker 3: What did you want to be when you grew up
- 21:17Speaker 3: and you had this like as a childhood.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Junior high school they called it then it was now
- 21:22Speaker 1: middle school? Huh.
- 21:25Speaker 3: This would be a complete guess because I have you
- 21:27Speaker 3: never I don't think you've ever told me this before.
- 21:30Speaker 5: Would have been a teacher? Would you want to teach?
- 21:33Speaker 1: No?
- 21:33Speaker 5: I don't really like people that much.
- 21:35Speaker 1: You like Joel? I don't know any guesses? Can I
- 21:43Speaker 1: go to data for a lifeline? Jeez? Again with the
- 21:46Speaker 1: lifeline boy?
- 21:48Speaker 5: He didn't know her at the time.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Okay, I don't know. I'm going to get it wrong.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Basketball coach, I don't know.
- 21:55Speaker 1: You're close? Really? Oh you want to be a gym teacher?
- 21:58Speaker 1: Airline stewardess? Oh, I don't make it feel good. Oh
- 22:06Speaker 1: you did, then you didn't.
- 22:07Speaker 2: This is not one of those things that they don't
- 22:08Speaker 2: call it now, like you get canceled if you call
- 22:11Speaker 2: them the stewardess now right, they're a flight attendant.
- 22:13Speaker 6: Flight attendants, Yeah, that's what they called But I wasn't
- 22:16Speaker 6: tall enough.
- 22:16Speaker 1: I was. I only grew up to be fine three
- 22:19Speaker 1: and a half. Oh, there was a higher requirement. There's
- 22:22Speaker 1: a requirement for everything for six or something like that.
- 22:25Speaker 5: Can you just wear like big shoes fake them out?
- 22:29Speaker 1: You mean like clown feet? Yeah? Those two.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Wouldn't that be fun to be like a flight attendant
- 22:37Speaker 2: travel around the world. Yeah, I looked into that. You know,
- 22:40Speaker 2: you got to like go to school for a long time.
- 22:42Speaker 2: I think it's pretty hard to become It's really hard.
- 22:44Speaker 2: And then the pay is not that great flight attendant. Yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 2: oh it's not.
- 22:47Speaker 1: You don't go to school long.
- 22:49Speaker 5: No, it's like a month or something.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Signs like this.
- 22:54Speaker 2: The exits No, no, no, I tell you when I
- 22:56Speaker 2: decided that a flight attendant was not for me.
- 22:59Speaker 5: They only get paid when they're in the air.
- 23:03Speaker 2: So, like they have to clean the plane and you know,
- 23:06Speaker 2: like the onboarding process and everything that getting everybody on
- 23:08Speaker 2: and getting everybody off. They only get paid for that.
- 23:10Speaker 2: They only get paid for when they're in the air. Huh,
- 23:12Speaker 2: that's nothing. I didn't know that.
- 23:14Speaker 5: That's why they're freaking pissed when you come on a plane.
- 23:16Speaker 2: They're all like, sit your ass down because I'm not
- 23:18Speaker 2: getting paid right now, I'd say the same thing.
- 23:20Speaker 5: You got one more, I forget where we are.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you've gotten all three wrong thus far. So it's
- 23:24Speaker 2: on here a question.
- 23:26Speaker 1: For question for.
- 23:29Speaker 6: Oh oh, that's not really a question.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Okay, Was I ever?
- 23:38Speaker 6: Wait?
- 23:39Speaker 1: Wait, I ever in a police raid?
- 23:43Speaker 3: Were you ever in a police raid? Now I have
- 23:45Speaker 3: to say, probably, like what the police raid? What happened?
- 23:50Speaker 3: Did I get that right?
- 23:52Speaker 1: Well, you didn't answer the question.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Yes, I think you have been. Yes, that's just such
- 23:58Speaker 3: a random thing to even question. Kind I feel like
- 24:01Speaker 3: that was It was an easy question. Why were you
- 24:04Speaker 3: in a police raid?
- 24:07Speaker 6: It was for underage drinking? And I was all dressed
- 24:12Speaker 6: up from work. I worked at Hess's. It was a
- 24:13Speaker 6: Hess's department store back in the day. A lot of
- 24:15Speaker 6: people don't know that store, which turned into bombs on anyway,
- 24:20Speaker 6: it was a dance in restaurant, and you dance a
- 24:24Speaker 6: restaurant and spooze and they had bands and we all
- 24:28Speaker 6: went there on like on a after work, and all
- 24:31Speaker 6: of a sudden there was like ten police cars outside.
- 24:36Speaker 5: And he just had everybody for underage drinking.
- 24:38Speaker 1: No.
- 24:38Speaker 6: I walked out the front door with all the cops
- 24:40Speaker 6: were coming in, and I'm just walked out the front
- 24:42Speaker 6: door and walked to my car. You escaped, I escaped
- 24:48Speaker 6: if my parents would have found it?
- 24:50Speaker 1: So were you? Were you? Really? Yeah?
- 24:53Speaker 2: Didn't you just say earlier you were a good girl?
- 24:55Speaker 2: And now you're an underage drinker? Or you know you
- 24:57Speaker 2: got away from the underage drinking.
- 24:59Speaker 1: I was there, That doesn't mean I was drinking. What
- 25:01Speaker 1: do you think? Do you think?
- 25:03Speaker 5: But can't you still say that you were part of
- 25:05Speaker 5: a raid?
- 25:06Speaker 2: I don't know that is part of a red Yeah,
- 25:09Speaker 2: that sounds a little extreme if well.
- 25:11Speaker 6: Luckily I was all dressed in work because you had
- 25:13Speaker 6: to wear like certain clothes back then. You had to
- 25:16Speaker 6: be able dressed up and I walked the cops are
- 25:18Speaker 6: running the door, and I ran right up and walked
- 25:20Speaker 6: right out the front door.
- 25:21Speaker 2: And you're learning a lot about your mother.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but I'm still a good girl. Do you believe her? Sure?
- 25:33Speaker 1: Melanie's turn? A score to beat is one out of four.
- 25:38Speaker 5: Yeah, you should be able to do that, Okay?
- 25:40Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 25:41Speaker 1: Question number one? Now you know you're named for Billy Joel,
- 25:45Speaker 1: although you're not a pano player. How many times have
- 25:50Speaker 1: I seen Billy Joel in concert.
- 25:55Speaker 5: It's gotta be a big fan after him.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Hang on, I thought I was named for the book
- 26:00Speaker 2: in the Bible well, which by the way, is very short.
- 26:04Speaker 2: It's only like three pages shorter than nd.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Language. You said shorthand to be really short. It's a
- 26:14Speaker 1: half page.
- 26:19Speaker 5: How many times have you seen Billy Joel?
- 26:22Speaker 1: All right? Well?
- 26:22Speaker 3: Is it like an even number? Jeez, that's a warm
- 26:27Speaker 3: or you're giving him a range like can you get
- 26:28Speaker 3: it between eighty and?
- 26:29Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 26:30Speaker 5: It seems pretty hard.
- 26:31Speaker 2: I don't think it's I don't think it's all that many.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I think it's to be honest with you, I think
- 26:36Speaker 2: it's less than ten.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Mm.
- 26:39Speaker 5: It's probably something like seven or eight.
- 26:41Speaker 1: I know.
- 26:42Speaker 2: The only one that I know of is uh, the
- 26:45Speaker 2: Nylon Curtain one, because you gave me that album and
- 26:48Speaker 2: the ticket was taped to it, so I know of
- 26:51Speaker 2: that one.
- 26:52Speaker 5: That's one.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Yeah, to at least one, I hope. If I'm Joel, Yeah,
- 27:00Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm gonna say seven five. I told
- 27:05Speaker 2: you it was under ten.
- 27:06Speaker 1: You know what's interesting about that? You took me once.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Oh you forgot it. You forgot the one with your mom.
- 27:14Speaker 5: Man happy mother's day, mal, Yeah really?
- 27:18Speaker 1: Question two, what is my master's degree in?
- 27:23Speaker 2: Uh? Oh, I know this.
- 27:30Speaker 5: Reading?
- 27:31Speaker 1: Very good? Take that, mother, I told you, told you,
- 27:36Speaker 1: I know my mom.
- 27:36Speaker 5: Notice I haven't cursed all during this episode one. Sorry
- 27:41Speaker 5: ha ha, you cursed in front of your mom?
- 27:44Speaker 1: There, right, I just I don't listen to them. Most
- 27:48Speaker 1: people don't. I don't either. Question three, how many different
- 27:55Speaker 1: grades have I taught? Sort of a trick question.
- 28:01Speaker 6: I know?
- 28:04Speaker 1: Uh, how do you know we were chit chatting? Why
- 28:08Speaker 1: you guys were? Oh? Really?
- 28:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I could figure it out. If oh, you have
- 28:11Speaker 2: a lifeline, then yeah, But I'm not going to ask.
- 28:15Speaker 2: I'm not going to ask four people eight questions like
- 28:18Speaker 2: you did.
- 28:20Speaker 1: But listen carefully because it's worded such that you need
- 28:23Speaker 1: to pay attention to.
- 28:24Speaker 5: How many different grades did you teach?
- 28:25Speaker 1: Yes?
- 28:26Speaker 2: Yeah, uh, you taught third grade, and you taught second grade,
- 28:33Speaker 2: you taught first grade, you taught fourth grade, you taught kindergarten.
- 28:41Speaker 2: That's it everything but fifth grade?
- 28:46Speaker 5: Right?
- 28:46Speaker 1: Five? Very good? Do you know? Here's this won't count?
- 28:52Speaker 1: But do you know why I never wanted to teach
- 28:55Speaker 1: fifth grade?
- 28:57Speaker 5: Uh? Because the math gets too hard?
- 29:00Speaker 1: No, although that's part of it.
- 29:03Speaker 5: Would be my answer.
- 29:05Speaker 1: That's the year they give the sex talk. That be
- 29:08Speaker 1: my guest. Yeah, but no part of that. But the
- 29:11Speaker 1: teacher not to do that though. We do, Yeah, we do.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 29:15Speaker 2: When I went to school, was the health teacher. The
- 29:17Speaker 2: health teacher sat everybody down and I was definitely the
- 29:19Speaker 2: kid that got kicked out for you know, laughing every time.
- 29:23Speaker 5: It's definitely.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Why am I not surprised it was?
- 29:27Speaker 5: It's funny.
- 29:29Speaker 1: It's a shame question for So you have the first
- 29:32Speaker 1: one wrong, next to correct.
- 29:34Speaker 5: Okay, thank you.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Okay, so we got one more question.
- 29:38Speaker 4: Yeah, hmmm, hmmm, just asked the question already brought it out.
- 29:49Speaker 1: My god. Okay.
- 29:52Speaker 5: Has he always been like this?
- 29:53Speaker 1: By the way, what impatient? Yes? Yeah, and he gets
- 29:55Speaker 1: it from his father. Yes, okay, Dad and I got
- 30:02Speaker 1: together because he lost a bet.
- 30:06Speaker 5: Oh, this is easy.
- 30:07Speaker 1: What was the bet? I know this. I know this.
- 30:10Speaker 1: This is easy.
- 30:11Speaker 2: This is music history because my dad was DJing some
- 30:15Speaker 2: event and it was Buster Poindexter, the hot, hot, hot guy. Yeah,
- 30:21Speaker 2: he used to be in a band called the New
- 30:22Speaker 2: York Dolls before that. Yeah, in the seventies, which was
- 30:26Speaker 2: like one of the first bands like glam rock. The
- 30:27Speaker 2: war makeup and everything. That David Johansen, it's his real name,
- 30:31Speaker 2: not Buster Poindexter. So that's isn't that what it is?
- 30:35Speaker 6: Well?
- 30:36Speaker 5: Keep going, I bet that was the bet.
- 30:37Speaker 2: So like she went up to him at some event
- 30:39Speaker 2: and said, didn't you know that Buster Poindexter is actually
- 30:43Speaker 2: David Johansen from the New York Dolls And he said,
- 30:46Speaker 2: the fuck it is?
- 30:47Speaker 5: Well not that.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Probably if I had to guess, and they made some
- 30:51Speaker 2: bet and there you go.
- 30:53Speaker 5: Oh real quick, let me just thank you.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Yes, all right, So now for the Mother's Day episode,
- 31:00Speaker 2: we have what we have questions for our moms.
- 31:03Speaker 5: You can go first, Becker, God.
- 31:06Speaker 3: What were the three primary sports I played growing up?
- 31:10Speaker 1: I know two of them, but I can't think of
- 31:12Speaker 1: the third. What are the first two? Do you think basketball?
- 31:16Speaker 1: M h okay? Bowling? Is bowling considered a sport?
- 31:20Speaker 4: Hell?
- 31:21Speaker 1: Yeah it is, okay, Joel.
- 31:23Speaker 2: You know why, I'll tell you why because he's on
- 31:25Speaker 2: some bowling kick now because of that show on HBO.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I really want to I think it's one. I think
- 31:30Speaker 1: this is the other one. Speed skating. Yeah, speed skating. Yeah,
- 31:34Speaker 1: that's impressive.
- 31:35Speaker 3: There's actually four primary I forgot bowling but there's another one.
- 31:39Speaker 3: But yeah, speed skating as well. Yeah, like on ice, no,
- 31:41Speaker 3: like indoor, like in line speed skating. Was that like
- 31:45Speaker 3: a team thing? Yeah, there's team What do you do?
- 31:48Speaker 3: You race?
- 31:49Speaker 5: You race?
- 31:50Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 31:51Speaker 2: Roller skates, un roller skates? Okay, so like running but
- 31:54Speaker 2: with wheel running with but with wheels. Yeah, that's exactly what.
- 31:57Speaker 2: I didn't realize that there's leagues for that though. Yeah,
- 32:00Speaker 2: that's people go to the Olympics for that stuff. Then
- 32:03Speaker 2: roller skating for speed skating, yeah, I thought, but on
- 32:07Speaker 2: ice a lot of them transferred ice.
- 32:08Speaker 5: But there's there's like an actual league for like inline.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Is there really? Yeah?
- 32:12Speaker 2: I didn't know that sure about that. But anyway, yes, look,
- 32:15Speaker 2: I'm trying to change the subject. I'm not apparently trying
- 32:17Speaker 2: to move on. That's all right, grilling me. All right, mom,
- 32:21Speaker 2: So you had basketball, speed skating, bowling.
- 32:24Speaker 1: That's correct. What was the other one? It's like running,
- 32:29Speaker 1: you're running track? Yeah, you got them all? Good, well done?
- 32:35Speaker 5: All right, I did all those things. You were in
- 32:38Speaker 5: a bowling league.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Yeah, My sister and I were in bowling leagues for years.
- 32:43Speaker 2: I love bowling, Yeah I do too. I wish I
- 32:44Speaker 2: was a better bowler.
- 32:45Speaker 3: It would always give me a ship about me being
- 32:47Speaker 3: a lefty. I'm not a righty when it comes to bowling.
- 32:49Speaker 3: I'm like different handed for different things.
- 32:52Speaker 5: Yeah, shut up.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Next question, I didn't say, come on to this.
- 33:02Speaker 5: One's easy. What's my favorite color?
- 33:07Speaker 1: I'm going to take a long guess. I'm gonna say blue.
- 33:11Speaker 1: It is blue. You got it? Question three?
- 33:16Speaker 3: Minus my ribs that I just fractured. I've only ever
- 33:20Speaker 3: broken one other bone. What was it your arm? I
- 33:31Speaker 3: was doing one of the sports you had mentioned before.
- 33:37Speaker 1: What was your risk considering your arm? Okay, well sort
- 33:42Speaker 1: of right.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Well now it connects your hand to your arm, So no,
- 33:48Speaker 3: I take it back.
- 33:50Speaker 1: That's not the answer. What did you say your wrist?
- 33:53Speaker 7: Arm?
- 33:54Speaker 1: My wrist arm? Yes, your wrist.
- 33:56Speaker 3: I wrist my wrist. That's the only other bone I broke. Yeah,
- 33:59Speaker 3: you know I've never broken a bone.
- 34:01Speaker 5: Now I'm a creepy. It freaks me out thinking about it.
- 34:03Speaker 5: I should have broken a lot more bones. Yeah.
- 34:06Speaker 3: I always attributed to my love of milk. I love
- 34:08Speaker 3: milk growing up, and it gives you a strong bones.
- 34:11Speaker 3: I drink a lot of milk too, right mom, Like
- 34:12Speaker 3: I would always drink a lot of milk, A lot
- 34:14Speaker 3: of milk.
- 34:15Speaker 1: I remember.
- 34:15Speaker 5: Eventually I ended up getting my own gallon. We go
- 34:17Speaker 5: out to eat.
- 34:18Speaker 2: I order a beer, he orders a freaking milk before
- 34:20Speaker 2: getting breakfast. Yeah, anyway, next one, anyway, question for I
- 34:27Speaker 2: would be very impressed if you remember this.
- 34:30Speaker 3: I was only ever in one school play. What character
- 34:34Speaker 3: did I play?
- 34:35Speaker 5: Oh? It was in fifth grade.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I was a star. I remember the first name Eater.
- 34:48Speaker 5: You want to give her a hint?
- 34:52Speaker 4: Oh?
- 34:52Speaker 1: No, what was the name of my character? Tree? Tree?
- 34:58Speaker 1: Thought I was a tree in the play. Probably you
- 35:03Speaker 1: thought it.
- 35:03Speaker 5: Was a prop or something.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Dad was trying to give you a hint and help
- 35:10Speaker 3: you out. It was Peter from Peter and and the Wolf.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Oh you were Peter.
- 35:17Speaker 5: But I played Peter from Peter and the Wolf.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Uh.
- 35:20Speaker 5: In what was it called the Trial of the Big
- 35:22Speaker 5: Bad Wolf.
- 35:23Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 35:25Speaker 3: It was like all the storybook characters like of like
- 35:27Speaker 3: the Three Little Pigs. All the thing is versus a
- 35:29Speaker 3: wolf and they all came together to like go out.
- 35:32Speaker 2: It is Peter and the Wolf, the one where every
- 35:34Speaker 2: like instrument in the orchestra is a different animal.
- 35:37Speaker 5: I don't know anything about it.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I just.
- 35:41Speaker 3: But I just played Peter from Peter and the Wolf
- 35:44Speaker 3: in this other play that was like a culmination of
- 35:48Speaker 3: all these You.
- 35:48Speaker 5: Know, you were a tree. No, I was Peter. I
- 35:52Speaker 5: had a song and everything.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Cursed.
- 35:57Speaker 5: I wasn't paying attention.
- 35:58Speaker 2: He did pretty well, mom, thank you? That was That
- 36:00Speaker 2: was better than a tree though. All right, now it's
- 36:04Speaker 2: my turn in classic Joe fashion. I have nothing prepared,
- 36:07Speaker 2: so we're gonna wing it all right, ready.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Question number one?
- 36:11Speaker 5: All right, let's start with my uh play thing.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Question. I was only ever in a play once? What
- 36:20Speaker 2: grade was it? And what was my character?
- 36:23Speaker 1: You were in fifth grade? It was Cinderella and.
- 36:25Speaker 5: It was you were Cinderella. No, he wasn't.
- 36:31Speaker 1: No, he was the guy with a monocle. What was
- 36:35Speaker 1: it called? Oh the town crier? No? Oh okay, you
- 36:44Speaker 1: you were the dude that put the slipper on. Who's
- 36:48Speaker 1: the prince? That's why? Just give me a name of
- 36:52Speaker 1: the character. What character was I did? You have to? Wow?
- 36:57Speaker 2: You know what, Mom, I'm officially offended, thank you, because
- 37:01Speaker 2: I was indeed the grand duke.
- 37:05Speaker 6: Duke.
- 37:05Speaker 5: Yeah, okay.
- 37:07Speaker 2: I remember coming home as a fifth grader and here
- 37:10Speaker 2: and my father say, yeah, kid's a gread dick, he
- 37:17Speaker 2: didn't think.
- 37:17Speaker 1: You played a tree?
- 37:21Speaker 8: Question too.
- 37:23Speaker 2: When I was in high school, I think I was
- 37:24Speaker 2: in like the tenth or eleventh grade. You know, I
- 37:26Speaker 2: was in the orchestra. I played the upright bass. I
- 37:28Speaker 2: was in all the choir stuff. But the only thing
- 37:30Speaker 2: I really didn't dabble in was the band. You know,
- 37:33Speaker 2: the brass instruments of the woodwind or you know, percussion whatever.
- 37:36Speaker 2: But when I was in high school, for a hot second,
- 37:39Speaker 2: I was going to join the marching band and play
- 37:42Speaker 2: an instrument. But then I sucked at the instrument and
- 37:45Speaker 2: I quit after two weeks.
- 37:46Speaker 5: What was the instrument?
- 37:48Speaker 1: Oh my god?
- 37:49Speaker 5: What was the instrument?
- 37:53Speaker 1: The same I did the same thing.
- 37:54Speaker 5: What did you play? Saxophone?
- 37:56Speaker 1: Oh?
- 37:56Speaker 5: I wish I could play saxophones?
- 37:58Speaker 1: I played.
- 37:58Speaker 5: I played it for two weeks.
- 38:00Speaker 1: It's hard, man, it's hard.
- 38:01Speaker 5: It's a whole story. We'll talk about that.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna I'm take a wild guess. Was it
- 38:06Speaker 1: like the fife?
- 38:07Speaker 5: I don't even know what that is? So what is that?
- 38:11Speaker 1: Maybe that's what you thinks like maybe, well yeah, yeah,
- 38:15Speaker 1: like a wooden flute. Okay, obviously that's not right, Like
- 38:18Speaker 1: the one you'd hear it like.
- 38:19Speaker 3: A Renaissance fair right, Like, I don't think that.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I don't know. Was it drums? You think you were
- 38:29Speaker 1: gonna let me play drums? Well out of our house? Yeah?
- 38:32Speaker 1: I remember coming home and asking to play drums and
- 38:34Speaker 1: you said no, No. I'm pissed.
- 38:36Speaker 5: If you would have let me, I could have been
- 38:38Speaker 5: a drum No.
- 38:40Speaker 1: To be honest with.
- 38:40Speaker 2: You, I wish that you guys made me play piano
- 38:42Speaker 2: growing up, because if you made me play piano, I
- 38:45Speaker 2: don't know. I feel like that's the universal instrument. If
- 38:47Speaker 2: you can play piano, you could play anything. Parents, if
- 38:49Speaker 2: you're listening, force your freaking kids to play piano.
- 38:51Speaker 1: I had piano lessons.
- 38:53Speaker 5: Did you don't sound so happy about it?
- 38:56Speaker 1: Did you like it?
- 38:57Speaker 6: No?
- 38:58Speaker 1: No? Well, I'm sorry to say, I really don't know.
- 39:01Speaker 1: What was What was my question? I have no idea.
- 39:04Speaker 1: What did I instrument that you wanted to play in
- 39:06Speaker 1: the band but then you didn't?
- 39:07Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah? What was it?
- 39:10Speaker 1: Oh? My god? My final answer trump trumpet.
- 39:21Speaker 2: So it wasn't the tuba. It was like the euphonium
- 39:28Speaker 2: or the brass horn. Is that the same thing as euphonium?
- 39:31Speaker 2: It was the brass horn. It's like a big ass trumpet.
- 39:34Speaker 2: It's not a trumpet, but it's like a big trumpet.
- 39:37Speaker 1: What's that called?
- 39:38Speaker 5: Is that a euphonium?
- 39:39Speaker 2: Okay, I've never heard of that word before until right now. Yeah,
- 39:43Speaker 2: it's very educational podcast. How about you learn a lot.
- 39:46Speaker 2: You know how hard it is to play brass instruments.
- 39:48Speaker 2: You know what got me? I couldn't do, Like you
- 39:50Speaker 2: gotta buzz your or your lips the whole time, the
- 39:55Speaker 2: whole time, for long periods of time, and you got
- 40:00Speaker 2: to like get tighter and looser and tighter and Jesusler.
- 40:04Speaker 1: And then you go to march. While you're doing it
- 40:08Speaker 1: at march, let's move on. Oh my goodness.
- 40:12Speaker 5: Anyway, was that question two? Question three?
- 40:16Speaker 1: Question three?
- 40:18Speaker 5: All right?
- 40:18Speaker 2: What can I ask you? What was my first car?
- 40:22Speaker 2: The making model of my first car that was actually mine?
- 40:24Speaker 1: Okay, the Chevy Cruise twenty seventeen.
- 40:28Speaker 5: Years all right?
- 40:29Speaker 1: Man, I told me too easy, and I remember that
- 40:31Speaker 1: too easy? Question four?
- 40:34Speaker 2: What's the very first song that I ever talked into
- 40:37Speaker 2: on the radio on my own, like on my own shift,
- 40:43Speaker 2: not on a morning show. The very first time I
- 40:47Speaker 2: was on the radio talking into a song.
- 40:49Speaker 5: What was it?
- 40:50Speaker 1: What does that mean?
- 40:52Speaker 5: The first time he ever cracked the mic and the
- 40:55Speaker 5: first song I ever pressed play on on the radio?
- 40:59Speaker 1: Oh that's what that? Yeah, yeah, I don't remember.
- 41:02Speaker 4: Mind.
- 41:02Speaker 1: I'm going to take a wild guess. Highway to Hell?
- 41:06Speaker 3: No, no, not knowing the station. Was it like bon
- 41:10Speaker 3: Jovi that you might have heard a thousand times?
- 41:11Speaker 5: You're close. It was Urgent by Foreigner?
- 41:14Speaker 1: Huh oh, Mikey, do you know the story about Highway
- 41:18Speaker 1: to Hell? No? Oh my, When Joel was in second grade. Okay,
- 41:23Speaker 1: let me preface this by saying, as a teacher, you
- 41:28Speaker 1: hate going to parent teacher conferences and being the parent.
- 41:32Speaker 1: I'd much rather be on the other side of the
- 41:34Speaker 1: table anyway. So the two of us go to the
- 41:36Speaker 1: conference and the teacher, very nice guy, He's like, well,
- 41:41Speaker 1: we just have one little issue with Joel. The kids
- 41:46Speaker 1: were like telling me he was swearing in the coat
- 41:49Speaker 1: room and here he was singing, and guess what he
- 41:53Speaker 1: was singing. That's so funny.
- 41:56Speaker 5: In my defense, hell is not a curse word.
- 42:00Speaker 1: It's not it's not. But of all the songs in
- 42:05Speaker 1: the universe, that's the one.
- 42:07Speaker 2: I tell you what I remember that I told him.
- 42:08Speaker 2: I still in the second grade. I remember who it was.
- 42:11Speaker 2: She's still a bitch.
- 42:12Speaker 5: What's her name?
- 42:14Speaker 2: We won't look at this A little Mother's day episode
- 42:18Speaker 2: action And we have food eat, don't we?
- 42:19Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we're gonna eat the food. Is it time
- 42:21Speaker 5: to eat?
- 42:21Speaker 1: Aren't we doing trivia? Real trivia? We're not doing real trivia?
- 42:26Speaker 5: It's a special edition. It's a special episode.
- 42:29Speaker 1: I think we should both tell an embarrassing story about
- 42:33Speaker 1: each boys. I know I wrote some down.
- 42:38Speaker 5: Oh my god, an embarrassing stories about me.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Say no, so we can end the episode. Now I
- 42:45Speaker 1: can think of one. Oh god, what is it.
- 42:48Speaker 5: We'll let you start then, since you didn't come with
- 42:50Speaker 5: eleven written.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Out my son who was very thin when he was young,
- 42:58Speaker 1: skinny not now.
- 42:59Speaker 5: That's what she did how she said that? But go ahead?
- 43:01Speaker 1: Oh he still is. He lost a long way. He
- 43:04Speaker 1: came running downstairs and he always says a.
- 43:07Speaker 6: Little tiny, little tiny underwear and with the print on
- 43:11Speaker 6: he was so cute, you need to stand there.
- 43:14Speaker 1: And he had a little pup tent, a little one
- 43:19Speaker 1: a boner nice. I wasn't going to say that.
- 43:24Speaker 5: I never heard pup tent before. That's a new one.
- 43:27Speaker 1: It's I knew exactly what you're talking about.
- 43:30Speaker 5: Yeah, and he's still talking about it. What else happened?
- 43:32Speaker 1: And he said, Mom, look, I'm like, Mikey, please go upstairs.
- 43:35Speaker 5: And how old was I?
- 43:39Speaker 1: From? Like fourteen? Now you better well I was trying
- 43:43Speaker 1: to be nice and say three four but no, how
- 43:46Speaker 1: old was I? And you're probably like four years old
- 43:49Speaker 1: or sore. I said, please go upstairs and go peep
- 43:53Speaker 1: and then put pants put that thing away. Oh he
- 43:57Speaker 1: had a little underwear, And story better not be that.
- 44:04Speaker 1: I don't have eleven. No, and well, the one story
- 44:08Speaker 1: I can't tell because it's dad's story, and I'll let
- 44:11Speaker 1: him tell the father's day. I wouldn't talk about your
- 44:15Speaker 1: twenty first birthday party, but I won't.
- 44:18Speaker 5: I don't really remember that clearly.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Yeah, but probably the funniest one was when we used
- 44:27Speaker 1: to send all the camp every summer for a week
- 44:30Speaker 1: and camp. No, it was actually church camp, church.
- 44:35Speaker 5: Camp, so God bless you.
- 44:38Speaker 1: And it was short, like Monday, do a Friday or whatever,
- 44:40Speaker 1: and then parents will come Friday night, you do a
- 44:42Speaker 1: little activity together and take the kid home. So Thursday
- 44:47Speaker 1: night it's like three in the morning and our phone
- 44:49Speaker 1: rings and it's the camp director and we're like, oh
- 44:53Speaker 1: my god, what happened? And apparently they were like goofing
- 44:58Speaker 1: around and Joel farted on some kids and then and
- 45:06Speaker 1: then proceeds to fall into a stone fireplace and like
- 45:12Speaker 1: gash his head so much so they had to take
- 45:14Speaker 1: him to the hospital. But the camp director was like,
- 45:17Speaker 1: he's gonna be fine. You didn't even need stitches. But
- 45:20Speaker 1: I remember going on the next day and his face
- 45:23Speaker 1: was like crooked. It was crazy.
- 45:29Speaker 2: I fell headfirst into a fireplace. Yeah, I wouldn't recommend
- 45:34Speaker 2: it was indeed, because I farted on somebody. You included
- 45:38Speaker 2: that detail. That's very true. Details in that story are very.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Good, but yeah, your face was like.
- 45:43Speaker 5: Yeah, we were all scraped. And my defense too was
- 45:45Speaker 5: three am.
- 45:46Speaker 2: But it was also like the the objective of that camp.
- 45:49Speaker 2: It was like the camp. Yeah, so we were doing
- 45:53Speaker 2: everything in the middle of the night as it was.
- 45:55Speaker 2: But yeah, it was three am and we were running
- 45:57Speaker 2: around in this cabin I went to, and this one
- 46:00Speaker 2: dude laughed. We're all running around and laughing and joking
- 46:03Speaker 2: and of course reading the Bible since it was Bible camp.
- 46:06Speaker 2: And then I fell into a fireplash and had to
- 46:08Speaker 2: go to the hospital. Yeah, dude, it felt like there
- 46:10Speaker 2: was a tennis ball on my head coming out of
- 46:13Speaker 2: my head. That's how crazy it was. But nothing busted open.
- 46:17Speaker 2: I still I still like have a mark on my head.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Oh really?
- 46:20Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 46:20Speaker 1: Did you learn your lesson?
- 46:21Speaker 5: Like? Do you still fart on people's heads?
- 46:24Speaker 1: Not on their heads? Where their arms?
- 46:29Speaker 5: Anyway?
- 46:31Speaker 3: So you ran into a fireplace. I ran into a
- 46:33Speaker 3: tree when I was in fifth grade, and.
- 46:36Speaker 5: Then you were the tree in the place, and.
- 46:37Speaker 3: Then that was the play on purpose. Yeah, but like
- 46:42Speaker 3: one with the tree. But the story is, and I
- 46:45Speaker 3: might have told this on the podcast before, my sister
- 46:48Speaker 3: broke up with her boyfriend this particular day, and my
- 46:50Speaker 3: friend Brandon and I were out back taking ash from
- 46:53Speaker 3: my dad's grill and putting it into like tissue paper,
- 46:56Speaker 3: so when we would like throw it, it would just go
- 46:57Speaker 3: like poof.
- 46:58Speaker 6: You know.
- 46:58Speaker 5: We were in fifth grade, we were boys.
- 46:59Speaker 3: What I So my sister comes out and opens the
- 47:02Speaker 3: door and she's crying and she has this gigantic teddy
- 47:05Speaker 3: bear and she said, Joe and I broke up, and
- 47:08Speaker 3: she was like, do you guys want this teddy bear?
- 47:10Speaker 3: And then my friend and I were like, well, yeah,
- 47:12Speaker 3: we're you know, fifth grade boys, We're gonna light this
- 47:15Speaker 3: thing on fire.
- 47:17Speaker 1: So like I take it.
- 47:20Speaker 3: He takes the bear and he like runs with it,
- 47:22Speaker 3: and I was like your back, and I'm like running
- 47:24Speaker 3: after him. I cursed and I running after him, and
- 47:27Speaker 3: I caught up to him, and like my mom said,
- 47:28Speaker 3: my dad's I ran track back in the day. It
- 47:30Speaker 3: was kind of pretty fast for my age at the time.
- 47:33Speaker 3: Grabbed the bear, I started running, turned around to see
- 47:35Speaker 3: where he was and if he was catching up to me,
- 47:37Speaker 3: and I turned back around and ran right.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Into a tree. Oh did you break anything?
- 47:40Speaker 3: I did not break anything. The only bone I broke
- 47:43Speaker 3: in my body my whole life, I saw sure it
- 47:45Speaker 3: was my rest.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:46Speaker 3: So that day I ran into this tree and like
- 47:49Speaker 3: fell down. It was like very very traumatic. My friend
- 47:52Speaker 3: Brandon's mom came home and she's a nurse, so she
- 47:55Speaker 3: came over. She's like, oh my god, you gotta go
- 47:57Speaker 3: clean this up. And then my dad came home. Right
- 48:00Speaker 3: My dad came home and took me to the hospital
- 48:03Speaker 3: where we had to wait for a plastic surgeon because
- 48:06Speaker 3: like I had like tree in my eye and like
- 48:09Speaker 3: I had ripped open my my face here, you know.
- 48:12Speaker 3: And so mom was at happy hour with my aunt
- 48:20Speaker 3: and she showed up. I remember, I remember this to
- 48:25Speaker 3: this day. Now you can correct me if this is
- 48:28Speaker 3: a wrong memory or something, or if I'm remembering this
- 48:30Speaker 3: incorrectly seriously, because I remember getting prepped for surgery and
- 48:34Speaker 3: being like real woozy and hearing my mom come in
- 48:37Speaker 3: and she's like, this is why I'm gonna get my
- 48:39Speaker 3: toe my just like my.
- 48:41Speaker 1: Tubes tied so that this never happens again, or something
- 48:46Speaker 1: like that.
- 48:47Speaker 3: And I was like, and I like went to sleep,
- 48:49Speaker 3: and that's what I remember going into anesthesia.
- 48:52Speaker 1: So you had to have your eye operated on.
- 48:54Speaker 3: I had like tree pieces of tree in my eye
- 48:58Speaker 3: and like you ran into it, ran into a tree
- 49:01Speaker 3: to get a teddy bear to set on fire.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Pretty much.
- 49:04Speaker 6: I told you he wants he likes trees. He wanted
- 49:06Speaker 6: to be a tree.
- 49:10Speaker 5: To do the money minute.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I brought stuff. It's time for.
- 49:18Speaker 8: No.
- 49:18Speaker 1: It's funny because today on your show you were talking
- 49:20Speaker 1: about weird oreoles. Oh yeah, I've wanted to try these
- 49:25Speaker 1: for quite some time. And I had an excuse now
- 49:29Speaker 1: because of the Munchy minute oreos with Peanut butter. It's
- 49:34Speaker 1: Reese's oreos.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's the sweet that I brought anything peanut butter.
- 49:39Speaker 1: And then the saltea that I brought was Monkey's checks
- 49:43Speaker 1: or Monkey Snack mix. Son Chips, rolled gold Pretzels, Doritos
- 49:48Speaker 1: and Cheetos.
- 49:50Speaker 2: Is having a hell of a time with his Thank
- 49:56Speaker 2: you mom for bringing the snacks. Welcome, jeez, that's what
- 50:03Speaker 2: you're supposed to do. How is it delish money?
- 50:11Speaker 1: You have some more snacks?
- 50:12Speaker 5: All right?
- 50:12Speaker 8: Well?
