- 0:05OK, acquire holy youth hasil gammour ish I should leave Soak
- 0:11me people in the mood. It's possible to have someone to
- 0:15be an equally pious person or the the person learns all day.
- 0:21Come on me. Shame.
- 0:22It's a ho Bama laha pehuta even to a person who's a Bama laha
- 0:29pehuta, which means it's a person that is involved in some
- 0:32menial labor. He has to work.
- 0:34I don't know, he has to work on some sort of task, whatever
- 0:37matter what it is actually the matter is he can even be, you
- 0:39know, a garbage man in your mind at the end of the day and
- 0:42nothing to do what he does at all and has to do completely
- 0:46with how he does it. That's his point.
- 0:48Or Steve call pilot Shimla Marneau.
- 0:51Everything Hashem ate is for his sake, which means everything we
- 0:53do is for can be for the sake of Hashem romed the whole in all
- 1:01your ways, you should know him and he'll straighten your path.
- 1:04Which means a person should apply in their life.
- 1:08What this tells you. Telling me that a person could
- 1:10learn all day and he can be an even even level to an individual
- 1:15who spends his entire day doing some sort of interesting labor,
- 1:19traveling the world for work, and being involved in menial
- 1:22tests. It's hard to imagine one thing
- 1:25you think of is full of kedusha, which it is purity, which is
- 1:29elevation, and the other thing is full of physical labor.
- 1:33Where exactly is God in that? But if you go a drop deeper, 1
- 1:37is the same. It's not about what you do, it's
- 1:40fully about how you do it. You really can't decide what you
- 1:43do. Very OK, listen, the person can
- 1:45decide to learn if they're able to afford it.
- 1:48But at times many people can't do that.
- 1:50Their life doesn't guide them that way.
- 1:52They can't afford it, whatever it may be, so they can't choose
- 1:55what they do. They rather can choose how they
- 1:57do it, and they can choose how they think when they do it.
- 2:00What's their approach, how they keep themselves a good character
- 2:04or how they watch what they see and watch what they say.
- 2:06The workforce can be, we all know a very, very well, no, a
- 2:12lowly place. The person doesn't do it
- 2:14properly. Some workforce is what they say,
- 2:17what they do, what they look out, how they talk, which is a
- 2:20mess. And on the other hand, it could
- 2:22be a very, very elevated place, whether the fact they have a
- 2:25class in that place or even without that, the fact that
- 2:29they're very honest and they're careful about the honesty and
- 2:31that way of doing things. And they treat people with
- 2:34respect and they're nice other people.
- 2:36And they make it Ku Shashim. And they could take that
- 2:39workforce and lift it up to make it great.
- 2:43And they can make it even equal to as great as the people who
- 2:46are singing the Batman Dash all day.
- 2:48And it's a shocking thing to think of if you're imagining
- 2:52levels of Kedusha, but it's not shocking if you're realizing my
- 2:56job is never to decide what to do I can't.
- 3:00My job is right at this side, just how I do it.
- 3:02And if I do it the right way, I'm going to do great.
- 3:05And that's the person you should think all day long.
- 3:08Any single situation you face can be lifted up, can be
- 3:11elevated. And the truth of the matter is
- 3:13if you go down to, let's say, go, go to learning, for example,
- 3:15just take that for a second. Even learning itself, it's not
- 3:18kedusha in the sensitive fact that every word is is hard,
- 3:23elevated and holy. If you think about what you're
- 3:25learning, right? Like we left this morning about
- 3:29witnesses, about liars, about a thief, but someone who's dealing
- 3:34and then slaughtering, there's no, you know, in the words
- 3:36themselves. There's no kedusha to that
- 3:39scene, right? In fact, one of the big books
- 3:42it's interesting to bring is at the end of the Seppard is Rabbi.
- 3:45It says seifers called never Shahrim.
- 3:48It's written by Rabbi and his book, especially the last
- 3:52chapter is a well known chapter in the Shiva world.
- 3:57Because in that chapter he's going up against people who felt
- 4:01that in order to be an elevator. He used to have something
- 4:03called, I think it was called the bet bet Mossar or something
- 4:06like that. And in their world, he was going
- 4:09up against them is they felt the only way a person can be an
- 4:12elevated person who spent the entire day in a building in A
- 4:14room, spending the whole day working on elevation, elevating
- 4:18yourself and your soul and and growing in character.
- 4:22And they would not learn that much, no Gemara because they
- 4:25didn't feel their place into elevation, right?
- 4:28And they're out of this whole point is, is he brings proof
- 4:31after proof after proof. Then when a certain person sits
- 4:33down and learns about menial things.
- 4:36So this is not talking about working real things, but
- 4:38learning about physical things like learning about stealing and
- 4:40learning about damaging and learning about second nidam and
- 4:432nd Diva more talks about inappropriate activity, all
- 4:46these different things. We one would say there's nothing
- 4:49holy about those words. The rabbi's point is just
- 4:52learning Hashem is holy. In other words, in a certain
- 4:55sense, it's this point, but it's even it's not, it's not as far
- 4:59as this point. His point is, is that just doing
- 5:03something that's learning to that is holy, even though you're
- 5:06doing it and dealing with and discussing finances and business
- 5:10and damages and immorality and marriage and divorce and all
- 5:14those different things, it does not make a difference.
- 5:16It's totally because you're learning Hashem Surah and we'll
- 5:18take that concept. The logic of that concept is
- 5:22very similar to this logic. Logic of the concept is I don't
- 5:25care about the words that you're saying per SE.
- 5:27It's rather what are you doing? You're learning Hashem Surah and
- 5:30that elevates you in itself, right?
- 5:32And here we're thinking one step forward and that means even take
- 5:35it to physical, physical life, right?
- 5:37So you definitely don't need to be talking Kudusa all day to be
- 5:40holy. You can be talking to the and
- 5:42even that you don't even need to be talking to the to be holy.
- 5:45You can be doing life the right way and to be holy.
- 5:47And you can see people and you've seen this throughout your
- 5:50life who are such an elevated level and not because that they
- 5:54plunged into the McVeigh of Kudusa, but rather because they
- 5:58did life the right way. What that's going to lead you to
- 6:01in reality, it will lead you to to the learning.
- 6:04It's not like they're two different worlds, but at the
- 6:06same time, the mindset of what you're doing is that every
- 6:09single thing I'm doing can be done the right way in elevator.
- 6:14And that helps you, like we said, lead you to the right
- 6:17thing, helps you elevate everything you do, and it helps
- 6:21you avoid the following pitfall. And that is how many people
- 6:24think I'm holy in the holy places and I'm mundane in the
- 6:29mundane places. That means the guy thinks when I
- 6:32sit down on my kavuta, I'm holy. When I'm praying in shul, I'm
- 6:37holy when I'm working in the office, Where does Hashim come
- 6:40in? Where does holiness come in?
- 6:44It's work. Have to make money.
- 6:46Maybe being a shark doesn't make a difference.
- 6:48I got to make money. Maybe your language is not the
- 6:50best. Doesn't matter.
- 6:52It's the words office, right? As we do in the office.
- 6:55And hey, I'm being so honest. Doesn't make a difference.
- 6:57And that's the person's mindset because they're not realizing
- 7:00this theme. The theme is, is that Kirusha is
- 7:03not plunging into holiness part of it because the shower really
- 7:08is doing things the right way. And therefore you'll find that
- 7:12there is not one part of your life that cannot be elevated.
- 7:16You try to think of a part, it doesn't exist.
- 7:18Every single part of your life can be elevated, can be holy,
- 7:23could be on par with your learning.
- 7:25It doesn't mean the reward for that honesty and business is
- 7:29equal, the reward for learning. I'm not saying that, but it does
- 7:32mean at the kedusha aspect of what you're doing can be equal.
- 7:37Both honesty and business and the proper character in the
- 7:41office, proper decorum, properly of speaking, can have the same
- 7:46impact and give you the same concept of kedusha as your study
- 7:51and as your prayer. That's the idea.
- 7:53That's the elevation concept that we have over here, right?
- 7:56That's the key to starting Cole PO Allah shamlum Anu.
- 7:59Everything that God made it for his sake, which means everything
- 8:02that came into your life from Hashem is given to you by God,
- 8:07toward Hashem. It's for him, by him.
- 8:10That's how you know. You know FUBU brought the street
- 8:12for us, by us, it's for him, by him, it's for God.
- 8:15By God, everything He gave you in your life is for Him.
- 8:19You think of the area, you name it, is that a single spot?
- 8:24And you'll find every single one of them is for Hashem.
- 8:26The whole that I have, that I have in all your ways, you know
- 8:30who you said he's going to strain your ways.
- 8:33And like we said, the strain and maybe you can land up a little
- 8:36deeper. The straining of your path,
- 8:38overall straining of a person only comes when it looks fast
- 8:42and everything when he applies God's will and everything.
- 8:46Which means if a person only applies God's will and his
- 8:48learning when he's praying, his character could still be shaky,
- 8:51right? But if he applies God's will
- 8:53into everything he does, he's going to therefore automatically
- 8:56strain his entire path. And the best thing you want to
- 8:59be is an overall good person, not just a good person in one
- 9:03area. You want to be a person who's
- 9:04overall growing and developing and doing the right thing.
- 9:08It's only possible through this understanding.
- 9:12OK, let's see how we close the book.
- 9:23Hashem remember his mercy. But I come up yupka en Eno
- 9:32butoratto. He should open up our eyes tears
- 9:36to that which is what I was saying at the end of his book,
- 9:38which means at the highest level of a person's personal
- 9:42development. I'm still asking for God to open
- 9:44up my eyes vioreno de Raja and lead us in his path.
- 9:50Violiceno brochatov and he walk with us on His ways.
- 9:55Venice, Que La Ted Cavolius MO. And we should merit to give
- 9:59honor to his name. And ultimately at the tippy top
- 10:04of greatness is to make Hashem happy.
- 10:07That's your goal, that's your wish.
- 10:10And that's the rabbi is saying same idea.
- 10:16God's honor should be always and we, God should be happy with
- 10:20his, with his creation. We are his creations.
- 10:22We want to make Hashem happy. And the way we make Hashem happy
- 10:25literally is by doing what He wants.
- 10:27Same exact thing as a parent in that sense.
- 10:29A parent wants his children to do a certain thing.
- 10:31Now a parent may not know exact thing was best for the child.
- 10:34They try, but they may not know. The difference is that God does
- 10:38know. And therefore, because God
- 10:39knows, if we are stepping in line and we are following His
- 10:42path, we are making this endlessly happen.
- 10:45In other words, He created me. He wants me to be the me that He
- 10:50wants, and when I am that, that His creation had a purpose and
- 10:55His creation developed and His creation completed.
- 10:58That's the idea. You smack yourself by yourself.
- 11:00And we should rejoice in our actions, benetz Yun a yilu
- 11:05makka. We should rejoice in our Maker,
- 11:07and we should rejoice in our King.
- 11:09It goes both ways. Hashem rejoices with us being
- 11:12right and we rejoice. We see Hashem is our King, which
- 11:17means we rejoice when we're walking in His way and we're
- 11:19walking in the right path. Amen, Amen, Amen.
- 11:23Which is interesting when it close, Tom, he says the book is
- 11:28finished and it's complete. Pretty session.
- 11:31That's what he has. All right now at the end of the
- 11:34book, after it's over, after a person has climbed to the levels
- 11:38of greens. And if we don't get a new book,
- 11:39we'll start it over until we get a new book.
- 11:41Look how he does the Hatima. Look how he does the signing
- 11:45Amarama Kabir, says the author, Hapam oded Hashem.
- 11:48I now want to thank God Ashira Bazamera.
- 11:52I'm going to sing and I'm going to, you know, praise him,
- 11:56Ashiraat Hannah Azeruni to allow me to print this book.
- 12:06I did this book for the sake of teach myself actually.
- 12:11And along with that, I want to help others like me.
- 12:17I want to have this who to help others like me.
- 12:23I want to be the one to help the other people, thank goodness.
- 12:27And I want to make Hashem happy. And this would be my solace in
- 12:34the land. I would travel what it means
- 12:36like this. This rabbi, his story, his life
- 12:41story was endlessly challenging. His life story was filled with
- 12:48issues. Most of his books were burnt,
- 12:51most of any of his history was erased.
- 12:54He was forced to. In fact, he was even put into
- 12:56head. It's a crazy story of his life.
- 12:59And this is close to the end of his life.
- 13:01He passed a very young and close to the end of his life.
- 13:03He wrote this book. So he's saying that first of
- 13:07all, I wrote this book to myself.
- 13:08All right #1 and #2 I wrote this book to help other people like
- 13:13me. And I therefore want this to be
- 13:16in the Hama, a consultant for all that I went through.
- 13:19I wanted this book reflection of my life and reflection of other.
- 13:24I want other people to have a straight life.
- 13:26And therefore I want this book to be considered my consultant.
- 13:30And I can't say this myself, so I don't know.
- 13:33But the beginning of his life, he did certain things where he
- 13:37would say that he spoke to a Magid.
- 13:41A Magid is like a like a malach that tells you about Torah.
- 13:45And the rabbi's had a very hard time with that.
- 13:49So I don't know. I don't know exactly.
- 13:50We listen. And Dave's obviously a great
- 13:52person. Didn't mean they don't go and
- 13:54said I would travel 500 miles to just to meet beside Shaheen.
- 14:00Even those books seem so simple. But he obviously went through a
- 14:02lot of life and this is his his, this is one of his main books.
- 14:06There's a few books that survived.
- 14:08This is one of them. After he travels and after he
- 14:10was kicked out, all those things, this book survived.
- 14:13So he's telling you, I want this book to be in the Hama, a
- 14:17consultant and the land of my challenges and land of my
- 14:21travails and all that. And they call the book the
- 14:26means, the roads. All right, Hashem, I want Hashem
- 14:35to give me my portion until every person has a portion, a
- 14:38little more du la melech over that sort.
- 14:41They have to be a de la Sia, a main.
- 14:45Let's see the followers find words ends in a little bit of a
- 14:48poem, right? Let's see how he does this.
- 15:02He's very, very Howardic. He's talking about the rabbis
- 15:05that helped him. We'll leave this out for now
- 15:07because it's shima poetic and he talks about those people and he
- 15:10thinks them for writing the most people today.
- 15:12They put this in the beginning of the book.
- 15:13He put this in the book. He thinks all the rabbis
- 15:15involved and he thinks them all for helping to write this book,
- 15:18helping him bring your reward out to the finish line.
- 15:21Most of these rabbits that we don't know their names.
- 15:23He gives you their names. We never heard of them and he is
- 15:26thanking them for helping him. But the beauty of this closing
- 15:30as a Yasir Rabbi who went through a lot, I see a Rabbi who
- 15:34dealt with a lot and all he wants to do, you see if in the
- 15:38end of his book, all he wants to do is to live life through our
- 15:41way and more importantly to help other people stringing that
- 15:45path. And he holds and I gave you the
- 15:48book and I gave you the gardens, how to live life right away.
- 15:51Fine. And the thing, his own personal
- 15:52story in itself is a life lesson.
- 15:55And you can see a person who have you, a betting man, so to
- 15:58speak, you're a betting man. You look at this person,
- 16:01majority of his career, he would have said he would have been
- 16:04erased from history. He would have been nothing.
- 16:07Most of his books are burnt. He was excommunicated, Forget
- 16:11about it. And then you find out that his
- 16:14book is a single most popular book today in life and character
- 16:21and personal development. That's not just he's, you know,
- 16:23eked it out and made it out. That is an opposite of complete
- 16:27contrast to the way his life looked.
- 16:30Whether that is a sign of Hashem giving a person, see at Taj mAh
- 16:33because God wants us to get out, that's true.
- 16:36Whether the sign of a person figuring out life, that's also
- 16:39true. Maybe it's even a sign of a
- 16:41person living the book that he wrote to perfection, which means
- 16:44if he lives life the right way fully, it's going to work out.
- 16:47Maybe that's a sign. I'm not sure what the sign, but
- 16:50it's a wild story of itself. And it's definitely clear that
- 16:54Hashem wanted his way of life to get to us because his way of
- 16:58life is one that if a person follows a straight path and that
- 17:01a person follows step by step the right approach to life, they
- 17:05will go. I'll give you one example.
- 17:06It's an example earlier on the book that's an example of his
- 17:09path. He thinks the basuk up kind of
- 17:12Pasha that we're going to read. The Basuk says I can you're
- 17:14wrong or slim Bo Hezborn say the rulers literally.
- 17:20You mean say the rulers, Let's make it come to Hezborn.
- 17:24But the way the rabbis and Kamala say, they say, say the
- 17:29people who are Moshell, the Itzarah people who are already
- 17:33conquered the Itzarah, they say Bo has born the way to live
- 17:37life. The right way is to make a
- 17:39proper has born to look at things, to figure out what's
- 17:43good, to figure out what's bad, what's right, what's wrong.
- 17:46What do you want to get involved in what you don't want to get
- 17:49involved in. Can you move on more slim.
- 17:51So say those who had already conquered life.
- 17:54The way to continue conquering life is the way to do it is make
- 17:57a calculation. That's a classic example of the
- 17:59rabbi says earlier on in the book, what's a stepping stone to
- 18:02development? The greatness to follow my lead,
- 18:05to follow my path to live. This book, for example, as a
- 18:09person to develop a straight path through analyzing life and
- 18:12saying what's good and what's bad, what I want to continue,
- 18:17what I want to stop, what seems to be helping me, what seems to
- 18:20be hurting me. And if you repeat yourself and
- 18:23you repeat your mistakes, that's a problem.
- 18:25When you make the proper hasborn, you would drop the
- 18:27mistakes. You'll emphasize the good and
- 18:30you'll continue to develop, which is a classic example of
- 18:33this rabbi. So we have over here today, he's
- 18:35closing the book. He's thinking Hashem, he's
- 18:39praying to Hashem to be able to write the book.
- 18:42He's telling us that every person in their own life has a
- 18:46path that can be unbelievably great.
- 18:48You could be literally a prank, Anevski.
- 18:50Or how about yourselves? That's all through your own
- 18:53life. That's how you can do it.
- 18:55And then he's telling us, reflecting the book, that a
- 18:58person that I'm lucky enough to write this book and I appreciate
- 19:01the book to write this book. And we're reflecting in his life
- 19:04and realizing just how impressive it is.
- 19:06It is a book made and what it became.
- 19:08And we're taking one example of his stepping stone to greatness,
- 19:11which is 1, where a person makes a Hageborne and finds out to go
- 19:15from there. That was, that was.
