- 0:21Speaker 1: Hey, everyone, welcome to bless this Mess of the Drugrum podcast.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I'm care who's d say hast do?
- 0:24Speaker 2: Right?
- 0:25Speaker 1: All right, So we are back this week with the
- 0:28Speaker 1: case out of Oklahoma. We haven't been there in a while.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Stoo, No, we have not.
- 0:34Speaker 1: We physically have not been there in.
- 0:37Speaker 2: You want to go there?
- 0:38Speaker 1: What do you mean? I want to go there?
- 0:40Speaker 2: It's just not a good time. Last time we're in Oklahoma.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Oh my mom's funeral, Yes, that my dad insisted in
- 0:47Speaker 1: having there, even though we won't get into it anyways,
- 0:52Speaker 1: So we're going to Oklahoma this week, and I just
- 0:54Speaker 1: want to say that if anybody questions our dedication, we
- 0:57Speaker 1: got up. So we have these three children. Now, okay, guys,
- 1:00Speaker 1: if you I have heard, if you've been around for
- 1:01Speaker 1: a while, and it's very difficult to have the energy
- 1:05Speaker 1: to podcast after they go to bed. Now, they've been
- 1:08Speaker 1: going to bed around like eight eight thirty the last
- 1:11Speaker 1: couple of nights. But that's hit or miss sometimes. But
- 1:14Speaker 1: one of them's gonna go rogue, you know, like last
- 1:16Speaker 1: night the baby she went to bed at seven thirty
- 1:18Speaker 1: but decided to wake up at nine thirty for a
- 1:20Speaker 1: little snackety snack.
- 1:21Speaker 2: No party.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Yeah, and so we And then the only other time
- 1:25Speaker 1: we can do this pretty easily while they're around, because
- 1:31Speaker 1: they're always around, yes, is on a Saturday or a Sunday,
- 1:35Speaker 1: whenever they go to naptime, because the middle and the
- 1:39Speaker 1: youngest have coordinated naptimes finally, thank god. And then the third,
- 1:44Speaker 1: the big one, she doesn't nap at all, but she'll
- 1:46Speaker 1: go do quiet time and like in everything, so she'll
- 1:49Speaker 1: kind of manage herself. But we also like to nap
- 1:55Speaker 1: and do other things with our lives, so sometimes we
- 1:57Speaker 1: fail at going and recording this on the weekend, like
- 2:00Speaker 1: this past weekend, it was Stu's birthday, so I let
- 2:03Speaker 1: him take a nap because that's where we are in life,
- 2:07Speaker 1: or like a nap is the preferred option.
- 2:09Speaker 2: If that gets a present you want, it's.
- 2:12Speaker 1: The present, and then maybe maybe me. I decided that
- 2:17Speaker 1: I needed to take a nap the next day because
- 2:19Speaker 1: it was no longer Steve's.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Birthday, because she was tired from watching the children.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Yes, anyway, so we are dedicated. We got up, so
- 2:27Speaker 1: I set my alarm at six am. I did not
- 2:29Speaker 1: get out of bed at six am.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Well, you're not dedicating, So I got.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Out of bed at six thirty and woke stew up.
- 2:35Speaker 1: And of course our children are sleepers, guys. There they sleep.
- 2:38Speaker 1: And then of course, of all mornings, the one that's
- 2:41Speaker 1: always the best sleeper, our daughter, the three year old
- 2:44Speaker 1: Mama Mama mama at like six forty in the morning.
- 2:50Speaker 1: So we're we're bad parents. And we threw it with
- 2:55Speaker 1: her cartoons in the with her pad and our bet
- 2:59Speaker 1: probably yeah, she'll probably work to wake the baby up.
- 3:03Speaker 1: So we're gonna try to get through this before that happens.
- 3:05Speaker 1: But we're dedicated. We got up early because we figured
- 3:07Speaker 1: out this this might be the only time we're gonna
- 3:09Speaker 1: have to just get up early once a week and
- 3:11Speaker 1: record these rather than try the evening or the weekend.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So that's what's going on.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Yeah, we gotta help all the people going to work.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Don't drive by our window.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Herege yes, and there might be some background noise with
- 3:22Speaker 1: the cars. These are like, this is a D. R.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Horton house. Okay, the walls are paper thid. They did
- 3:27Speaker 1: not put a lot of money in building these houses,
- 3:29Speaker 1: so they just throw them up and we have asshole
- 3:32Speaker 1: neighbors so that rev their engines. So here we are
- 3:37Speaker 1: so you're you might hear a few cars in the background.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Stu's probably gonna complain about it and try to make
- 3:41Speaker 1: me stop, and I'm gonna tell him no, we just
- 3:43Speaker 1: got to keep going and push forward. So because I
- 3:46Speaker 1: still have to go to work this morning, Steve's got
- 3:47Speaker 1: a doctor's appointment, we hit we still things anyways, all right,
- 3:53Speaker 1: so you, oh iTunes are not iTunes? What's it called now?
- 3:58Speaker 1: Apple podcasts? Great review, subscribe five stars only. We're not
- 4:02Speaker 1: open to any you.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Know, criticism coming in here lately.
- 4:09Speaker 1: We have besides ex camper.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Yes, oh, ex camper is probably ex friend, ex girlfriend,
- 4:15Speaker 2: ex wife. She sounds like she complines a lot.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Okay, maybe she's me. Maybe that's why I'm upset with her,
- 4:23Speaker 1: because she is me. I am her quite possibly. Anyways,
- 4:26Speaker 1: five stars only. We don't want any constructive criticism. We're
- 4:29Speaker 1: at this point we're not looking to improve ourselves.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Criticize as long as they give us five stars.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's what we say. Just write whatever you want,
- 4:36Speaker 1: but five stars and then Instagram, Facebook. I've been doing
- 4:42Speaker 1: some extra I've been doing more like life stuff. On
- 4:44Speaker 1: the other one, the blessed this mess underscore tbr you
- 4:49Speaker 1: can go follow that page instead of the or along
- 4:52Speaker 1: with the podcast one. The podcast one is going to
- 4:55Speaker 1: be more like true crime stuff. And then patroon. We
- 4:58Speaker 1: appreciate everybody. We got a new Patrireon patron the other day,
- 5:01Speaker 1: so we appreciate you guys supporting us there and buy
- 5:05Speaker 1: us a coffee. All this stuff's in the show notes.
- 5:07Speaker 1: So all right, so you're ready to get into this.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I am ready.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Have we have to do several breaks for coffee because
- 5:14Speaker 1: this is it's a lot for us guys. Okay, I
- 5:18Speaker 1: usually I can get up in the morning, but I'm
- 5:20Speaker 1: not social in the morning. I'm not social period, but
- 5:23Speaker 1: I'm really not so in the morning, I'm okay getting up.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I'll get up, and I was getting up and exercised up,
- 5:29Speaker 1: but it's like it's quiet. It's just me by myself.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Like I don't want to talk to Stu. I don't
- 5:33Speaker 1: want to talk to the children. I don't want to
- 5:35Speaker 1: talk to the cat. I get mad at Jinks because
- 5:36Speaker 1: he mews in the morning, Like I don't want to
- 5:39Speaker 1: talk to anybody. But now I'm fixing to have to
- 5:43Speaker 1: interact with Stuart Love. It's a lot, all right, So
- 5:48Speaker 1: Jamie shut up still, Jamie Lee Adams Nay. Plus, this
- 5:53Speaker 1: is a pretty funny not okay, someone did die, well
- 5:56Speaker 1: you get that. Okay, not funny, but this is amusing material.
- 6:04Speaker 1: This is very This should be like nighttime like with
- 6:06Speaker 1: the cocktail kind of uh listening, yes, or podcast recording. So,
- 6:14Speaker 1: Jamie Lee Adams Nay Cueler was born April twentieth, nineteen
- 6:18Speaker 1: eighty six. I think that's Hitler's birthdays, dot the nineteen
- 6:22Speaker 1: eighty six, the twenty the April twentieth.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Wow, I think you went back and then research that.
- 6:27Speaker 1: No, I just we watch a lot of World War
- 6:29Speaker 1: two documentaries.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Do all the way down.
- 6:31Speaker 1: But I didn't know that was I thought Hitler was
- 6:33Speaker 1: born on four to twenty and that's also the weed day. No,
- 6:37Speaker 1: that's four to twenty is the weed day.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Four twenty is the weight day.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Okay, but I thought that was Hitler's birthday.
- 6:44Speaker 2: That might be. I don't know.
- 6:46Speaker 1: In Tallagua, Oklahoma, we've been to Tahlequah, No, we have.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I like Telllequaw. I grew up and I was born
- 6:51Speaker 1: in Muskogee and grew up in like broken arrow type area,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and then my aunt lived in Tahlequah, and they had
- 6:59Speaker 1: my and so we used to go and visit their
- 7:02Speaker 1: house or whatever. I always liked Tyler Quad.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I think it's pretty No, you said you grew up
- 7:06Speaker 2: in Lufken. Are You're a liar?
- 7:07Speaker 1: No, I didn't grow up in I grew up in
- 7:09Speaker 1: lufkin'st I was born in Muskogee, spent the first eight
- 7:14Speaker 1: years or so in Broken Arrow. Like broken Arrow Muskogee
- 7:19Speaker 1: is she's like that pulsa. We moved around lot we
- 7:20Speaker 1: were poor, and then we moved to Lufkin, continue to
- 7:24Speaker 1: be poor, and then you know, and we still got
- 7:28Speaker 1: this long COVID too. We had COVID too. You guys,
- 7:30Speaker 1: you don't even know. We had all sorts of things
- 7:32Speaker 1: going on. I don't know. Do we talk. We haven't
- 7:35Speaker 1: talked to him about after the Oh yeah, we probably have.
- 7:39Speaker 1: So I have like I have, like the long COVID.
- 7:41Speaker 1: This cough will not go away, so I'll try to
- 7:43Speaker 1: keep it contained. So Jamie attended Newada schools and played
- 7:48Speaker 1: the trumpet in high school, as well as singing in
- 7:50Speaker 1: the choir. Now, as Jamie grew into an adult, she
- 7:53Speaker 1: discovered her love for crafting and making homemade gifts, as
- 7:56Speaker 1: did I as I became an adult. But now when
- 7:59Speaker 1: I look at all the crafting stuff at hobby lobby,
- 8:01Speaker 1: I'm like, oh fuck, no, I'm not doing any of that.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I think everybody goes through Yeah, I think everybody goes
- 8:07Speaker 1: through like a crafting phase, and then some people stay
- 8:10Speaker 1: in the crafting phase, which there's nothing wrong with that,
- 8:12Speaker 1: but I think everybody, every young woman goes through a
- 8:14Speaker 1: crafting stage. We're like, I'm gonna make Reaes, I'm going
- 8:16Speaker 1: to make this, I make this, And now I'm like,
- 8:18Speaker 1: I don't want to do that. I'm going to scrap book.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Who has time to scrap book? People? Probably without three
- 8:24Speaker 1: small children. I'm sure I'll discover a lot more hobbies
- 8:27Speaker 1: once they are more self sufficient. She further developed this
- 8:31Speaker 1: love of crafting and stuff whenever she met a man
- 8:34Speaker 1: and she had two children with him, because then she's
- 8:36Speaker 1: able to. She was started making like little crafts for
- 8:39Speaker 1: the kids and all these things. And then she also
- 8:41Speaker 1: developed a love for writing and felt that that was
- 8:44Speaker 1: the best way to express herself. Now, after her previous
- 8:47Speaker 1: relationship did not work out, she met Justin Adams, So
- 8:50Speaker 1: she's met this man, had two children. It doesn't work out,
- 8:54Speaker 1: so now she's on to Justin. Jamie soon became pregnant
- 8:58Speaker 1: and they married in the spring of two thorgh eleven.
- 9:01Speaker 1: So we've got Jamie, Justin, and her two kids, and
- 9:04Speaker 1: they all would all settle into Blanchard, Oklahoma. I did
- 9:07Speaker 1: not look up where Blanchard was. I think it was
- 9:10Speaker 1: out by near Norman. Maybe Justin had recently joined the
- 9:14Speaker 1: National Guard but was not making much money outside of that.
- 9:17Speaker 1: By late twenty eleven, the couple was struggling to make
- 9:20Speaker 1: ends meet and ended up moving into a trailer next
- 9:23Speaker 1: to Justin's mother where they could live without having to
- 9:26Speaker 1: pay any rent. Because what I think what happened was
- 9:29Speaker 1: he joined the National Guard, but he'd gone off to
- 9:31Speaker 1: you'll maybe you'll more familiar. I think he was going
- 9:35Speaker 1: off to he'd sign, but he wasn't actually getting paid yet.
- 9:37Speaker 2: You know, there's like a he he didn't go to
- 9:39Speaker 2: boot camp yet he hadn't. Yeah, he had bother ain't
- 9:41Speaker 2: a whole lot of money. Whenever you only drew one one.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Weekend, Yeah, that's whenever like the National Guard, like that's
- 9:46Speaker 1: your main source of income. That's a no, that's supposed
- 9:49Speaker 1: to be just like a little extra income. It's your
- 9:52Speaker 1: employer's supposed to give you the weekend off or whatever
- 9:54Speaker 1: whenever you go, yes.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Reserves or National Guard, Air National Guarden. There's not a
- 9:59Speaker 2: hole lot of money in the I have said one
- 10:02Speaker 2: weekend a month.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I have some thoughts about Justin. Just let me tell
- 10:06Speaker 1: you just in case. Yes, okay, So they're moving into
- 10:09Speaker 1: this trailer to save money. Well, money's still extremely tight
- 10:13Speaker 1: because Justin's not working. He's relying on his National Guard
- 10:16Speaker 1: money that's offentially going to come that. I feel like
- 10:18Speaker 1: he thinks it's going to be a windfall, but is not.
- 10:20Speaker 1: He should have read the pamphlet. And Jamie's trying to
- 10:24Speaker 1: attend classes for nursing school. She just had a baby.
- 10:28Speaker 1: There's one of these cars just we're gonna have to
- 10:30Speaker 1: move on from it too. I'm sorry, Okay, she's you know,
- 10:34Speaker 1: she's just having a baby. She's trying to go to
- 10:36Speaker 1: school for nursing. I'm sure she's probably having to drop
- 10:39Speaker 1: some of those nursing classes and delay that a little
- 10:41Speaker 1: bit because you can't take care of a newborn and
- 10:43Speaker 1: go to school full time. Although it sounds like Justin's
- 10:46Speaker 1: not doing anything, so he should maybe take care of
- 10:47Speaker 1: the baby.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Maybe he shouldn't, so Justin.
- 10:50Speaker 1: He finally goes off to basic training and returns to
- 10:54Speaker 1: a newborn, a wife, and two step children. So he
- 10:59Speaker 1: begins making that little bit of money again. It's a
- 11:01Speaker 1: small amount of money. They were still struggling, though, so
- 11:07Speaker 1: much that they did not have running water in the trailer.
- 11:09Speaker 1: They had a hose from Justin's mom's home and they
- 11:13Speaker 1: would have to call her to turn it on when
- 11:14Speaker 1: they needed water. Now, while they were struggling financially, they
- 11:18Speaker 1: did seem to be very happy. Justin doated on Jamie,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and everyone could see the love that they had for
- 11:23Speaker 1: each other. So times were tough. I'd be fucking pissed
- 11:26Speaker 1: at Justin. I'm like, get a job.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Yeah, you need to go fucking work on McDonald's while
- 11:30Speaker 2: you're not drilling. Oh yeah his National Guard or something.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Yeah, his mom said that. His mom said, Oh, he
- 11:35Speaker 1: tried to apply for places but they said he was overqualified. Bullshit, No,
- 11:42Speaker 1: that's not even overcalled. I never saw any work history
- 11:45Speaker 1: that he had.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Him he's an electrical engineer.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I know, acts like he's like some some like highly
- 11:52Speaker 1: skilled like neuro surgeon to applying for the McDonald's be like,
- 11:55Speaker 1: you're overqualified.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Yeah, we can't hire you to come flip Burgers because
- 11:59Speaker 2: you're just gonna leave when you get your neurosurgeon job. Yes,
- 12:02Speaker 2: application gets approved somewhere.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Yes, he was not overqualified, he just was. I feel
- 12:07Speaker 1: like he was lazy and didn't want to work. And
- 12:09Speaker 1: then he's like, I'll just join the National Guard and
- 12:12Speaker 1: go over a couple of.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Weeks, I'll make a million dollars.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Yes. Yeah, So I have problems with justin her and
- 12:18Speaker 1: the mom go into bat form like, oh, he just
- 12:20Speaker 1: was overqualified. You're letting your newborn baby and wife and
- 12:24Speaker 1: children sitting in a trailer that probably had the heat
- 12:27Speaker 1: running barely any because they couldn't afford it, and running
- 12:31Speaker 1: a hose from your parents house from your mom's house.
- 12:34Speaker 1: That's insane, no excuses, They're justin get it together.
- 12:39Speaker 2: I don't even know how they got electricity, they can't
- 12:41Speaker 2: afford water.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I'm sure the maybe the mom was helping him with that.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I don't know unless I was tied to the same account.
- 12:48Speaker 1: It might have been that she was just letting taken
- 12:51Speaker 1: care of him, I guess.
- 12:53Speaker 2: In December of twenty eleven, Jamie was preparing for Christmas.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Christmas did happen to be her favorite time of my
- 12:59Speaker 2: year because she was a crafter. Yes, she went out
- 13:03Speaker 2: of her way to make the holidays special for her children,
- 13:06Speaker 2: even though they didn't have any money. She would use
- 13:09Speaker 2: her love of craft and to make them gifts and
- 13:12Speaker 2: try to make it feel like a normal Christmas. I
- 13:14Speaker 2: guess when you got young kids, I don't care as
- 13:15Speaker 2: long as they get to unwrap something. I was kind
- 13:18Speaker 2: of the same way until you become a shithead. At
- 13:21Speaker 2: a certain point, you're like, I wanted the blood blah blah,
- 13:24Speaker 2: I wanted.
- 13:24Speaker 1: The X five hundred keey boys, Ye, you didn't get it.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Where we really hate.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Me when you think about, like how shitty you weren't
- 13:32Speaker 1: your parents? Sometimes I feel bad.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yeah, these aren't Thelwaukie talkies. I wanted these suck, Yeah.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Especially because now I think about all because we did.
- 13:42Speaker 1: We didn't have very much money when I was growing up,
- 13:44Speaker 1: but I didn't I was aware of it when I
- 13:47Speaker 1: got older, but as when I was a kid, like
- 13:49Speaker 1: you know, you're not really aware that you're poor, that you.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Didn't get what you wanted. Sam must not love me.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Well, no, I'm just saying in general that you you
- 13:57Speaker 1: don't realize that you don't have any money whenever you're younger,
- 14:00Speaker 1: until you're a little bit older and you in high
- 14:02Speaker 1: school and you could see, you know, other people what
- 14:04Speaker 1: they have, but all the things that my parents probably
- 14:08Speaker 1: went into debt to try to make our lives like,
- 14:11Speaker 1: you know, normal. I feel bad about that, do you Yes?
- 14:15Speaker 1: What are you saying there? Saying?
- 14:16Speaker 2: Like?
- 14:16Speaker 1: Do you like?
- 14:17Speaker 2: I didn't know if you were just saying that for
- 14:19Speaker 2: the podcast and you didn't really care.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Oh my god, Stuart, you're such an asshole. Yes, I
- 14:23Speaker 1: feel bad. I feel bad for my mom.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Wow, not pops. Financial stress continue to mount, with Justin
- 14:34Speaker 2: still not making much money and Jamie caring for a newborn.
- 14:38Speaker 2: On December ninth, twenty eleven, Jamie headed out at at
- 14:40Speaker 2: around ten pm to go hang out with some friends. Now,
- 14:43Speaker 2: this is just bad planning, Stuart.
- 14:46Speaker 1: You're gonna you're gonna hate Justin even more as we
- 14:49Speaker 1: go through this.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Okay, Well, I'm saying it's bad planning if you're leaving
- 14:53Speaker 2: at ten o'clock to go out. Okay, Well, I mean
- 14:57Speaker 2: for people our age is terrible planning. I'm and I
- 15:00Speaker 2: understand that people do go out of town.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Okay, well you obviously didn't read ahead because you don't know.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Why why I'm trying to build this up. Yeah, so
- 15:07Speaker 2: people people don't Okay, you gotta throw people at curveball.
- 15:11Speaker 2: They don't listen to this if they already knew what happened. God,
- 15:14Speaker 2: you're just running this just like you did Christmas for
- 15:17Speaker 2: your parents. Justin stayed at home with the children. She
- 15:23Speaker 2: took her cell phone with her and kept in contact
- 15:26Speaker 2: with Justin as she drove thirty minutes away at ten
- 15:28Speaker 2: o'clock at night to Midwest City, Oklahoma. At around midnight,
- 15:33Speaker 2: she stopped contacting Justin.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Is anything even open at ten thirty night in Midwest City?
- 15:38Speaker 1: Anybody who lives in Midwest City let us know?
- 15:41Speaker 2: Or Talaqua? Is there anything open in Talliquad past ten o'clock?
- 15:45Speaker 1: Just the fields and the barns, just.
- 15:48Speaker 2: The Applebee's and the weather clothing. Now, Justin starts panicking.
- 15:55Speaker 2: At around three am, when Jamie is still not home.
- 15:58Speaker 2: He heads over to his mom house to let her
- 16:00Speaker 2: know that Jamie was missing. They decided to hop in
- 16:04Speaker 2: the car and go out and try and find Jamie.
- 16:07Speaker 2: They go where they believe she might have been the
- 16:10Speaker 2: last and they make it to a fast food restaurant
- 16:12Speaker 2: in Midwest City. At around four thirty am. They find
- 16:16Speaker 2: her band. It's locked. He can't access it because he
- 16:19Speaker 2: didn't have an extra set of keys.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I guess of course he doesn't.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Well, they might not. They might have bought to use
- 16:24Speaker 2: one in the dealership only had the one key. Yeah,
- 16:28Speaker 2: I mean that that extra key cost you extra money.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Yeah, especially depending if it's one of those smart keys.
- 16:34Speaker 1: They really charge you for him. Oh yeah, well, I
- 16:36Speaker 1: remember we had that. We had an old uh jeep
- 16:41Speaker 1: like jeep Cherokee, but they was the real old ones
- 16:44Speaker 1: from like nineteen ninety eight. And that key was three
- 16:47Speaker 1: hundred dollars to replace because you had to have it
- 16:49Speaker 1: had like a smart even boy back then, it had
- 16:52Speaker 1: like a chip in it that you had to have
- 16:54Speaker 1: that key with that chip.
- 16:55Speaker 2: And they had to program it. But the key was
- 16:58Speaker 2: ten bucks and it was two hundred and ninety dollars program.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, it was. I mean it was shocking.
- 17:05Speaker 2: The Shocker two and the Stewart stop.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Now from the window they could not see anything and
- 17:12Speaker 2: nothing looked overly suspicious, but Justin knew. He just knew
- 17:16Speaker 2: something was wrong.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Yes, he just knew. They called nine one one and
- 17:21Speaker 1: police arrive at the scene, and Justin's like visibly agitated
- 17:25Speaker 1: and angry, and he just wants them to let him
- 17:28Speaker 1: in the car. Well, they tell him that they need
- 17:30Speaker 1: to hold off on that so they can process the
- 17:32Speaker 1: vehicle in case something bad has happened to Jane. We
- 17:34Speaker 1: can't just let you in the car. Like he's mad,
- 17:37Speaker 1: like getting in this altercation with this police officer about
- 17:41Speaker 1: not letting him in the car, which to them seems
- 17:45Speaker 1: a little bit suspicious and a little bit odd behavior.
- 17:48Speaker 2: I don't know, I'd be a low upset at four
- 17:49Speaker 2: thirty am.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Two that they're not letting you in the car.
- 17:52Speaker 2: I just want to go home and go to sleep.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I name my car, okay, what is Oh my god?
- 18:00Speaker 2: No? No, did they tase him at least no?
- 18:05Speaker 1: So Justin's just getting angry and angrier, and he starts
- 18:08Speaker 1: ignoring police questions, which is also a red flag. They
- 18:12Speaker 1: try to have him explain why his wife was out
- 18:15Speaker 1: at this time of night, and he says she was
- 18:17Speaker 1: meeting a friend, but he could not name the friend.
- 18:20Speaker 1: And supposedly the police officer. The mom said the police
- 18:23Speaker 1: officer was taunting him, saying, well, I wouldn't let my
- 18:26Speaker 1: wife co out this time at night by herself, Da
- 18:28Speaker 1: da da da, which I mean ballid point vallid point,
- 18:34Speaker 1: not letting. I mean there's things that it's just like
- 18:37Speaker 1: it's not safe. So you would have a discussion with
- 18:39Speaker 1: like Stu's not gonna tell me, Okay, we got to
- 18:42Speaker 1: go talk to the cat. I'm gonna kill these cats.
- 18:45Speaker 2: You cannot kill Jenks. He cost us way way too
- 18:48Speaker 2: much money. Not a little gray tabby. He hasn't cost
- 18:53Speaker 2: us much at all.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm not gonna kill the cats. I did
- 18:57Speaker 1: not kill the cats. I gave them temptations.
- 19:00Speaker 2: You went the other way. You rewarded them.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Rewarded the.
- 19:05Speaker 2: All right.
- 19:06Speaker 1: So yeah, so the cops kind of taunting him and
- 19:10Speaker 1: saying like I wouldn't have let my wife out, But
- 19:12Speaker 1: according to mom, yes and everything. So, uh yeah, I
- 19:17Speaker 1: don't know if that's the right wording, but I would
- 19:20Speaker 1: advise student, I would advise you not to go out
- 19:22Speaker 1: at that time, like this doesn't seem safe.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Might not end well for you seeing the children. If
- 19:28Speaker 2: you're just going to leave the house and go hang
- 19:31Speaker 2: out with who.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Leave the children? What are you talking about.
- 19:36Speaker 2: That I might not be able to come home if
- 19:37Speaker 2: I leave the house at that time.
- 19:40Speaker 1: If I wanted to go meet friends at ten pm,
- 19:44Speaker 1: then I'm alone.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's how that works.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's you were definitely not allowed to go out
- 19:49Speaker 1: at ten people meet a mystery person that you can Yes.
- 19:54Speaker 2: The baby's biological.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Fathers, Stuart, you keep joking about it.
- 19:59Speaker 2: And then why it's gonna be true?
- 20:00Speaker 1: Yes? All right, So things seem odd to police, but
- 20:06Speaker 1: they are giving the benefit of the doubt that he's
- 20:08Speaker 1: just upset because his wife is missing.
- 20:10Speaker 2: And it's early in the morning he hadn't had his coffee.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Jamie has an official missing person's report open for her,
- 20:15Speaker 1: but investigators feel that Justin and his mother are withholding information. No. Yes.
- 20:21Speaker 2: After three days with no sign of Jamie, investigators keep
- 20:25Speaker 2: pushing on Justin for more information. He finally admits to
- 20:29Speaker 2: a shocking secret.
- 20:31Speaker 1: No, do not see it again, Okay, ste just said
- 20:35Speaker 1: whatever at the microphirl, he said, I can see what
- 20:38Speaker 1: some people hate us. It's not that we're laughing about
- 20:44Speaker 1: someone dying, obviously not. It's very tragic, very sad. But
- 20:47Speaker 1: a lot of times in life, like the thing surrounding
- 20:50Speaker 1: someone passing away or their life and stuff, sometimes there's
- 20:52Speaker 1: funny bits in it. I mean, it's it's just like
- 20:55Speaker 1: it's life, you know.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Yeah, people tell funny stories about people at funerals.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's a it's a there's.
- 21:01Speaker 2: A they did not die in horrible ways.
- 21:03Speaker 1: There's some people that are very uh, do not like
- 21:07Speaker 1: dark humor whatsoever or not. They think it's just.
- 21:10Speaker 2: So yes, And we have heard from plenty of those people.
- 21:13Speaker 1: We have, we've found most of them.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Now. About what Justin tells the police is that about
- 21:20Speaker 2: six months prior to Jamie going missing, they began posting
- 21:24Speaker 2: online looking for other couples. They were posting saying, we
- 21:29Speaker 2: are an attractive couple looking to have fun with another couple.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Little swinger action going on.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Well no, but I mean we're attractive couple. Was a
- 21:37Speaker 1: bit of a.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Scrip, a little bit of a strip. Well they might
- 21:40Speaker 2: have been for that area that they were in.
- 21:41Speaker 1: What disturbs me about this is she has a newborn,
- 21:44Speaker 1: so she was pregnant at some point during this situation. Like,
- 21:49Speaker 1: but I know people are into that but like some
- 21:53Speaker 1: people are some men are into that. You know, they'll
- 21:55Speaker 1: seek out women that are pregnant too, which is I
- 21:58Speaker 1: don't know.
- 21:59Speaker 2: I think it's weird, but it is a little bit
- 22:02Speaker 2: beyond my round of whatever can Okay.
- 22:08Speaker 1: It is seven thirty in the war, we could not
- 22:09Speaker 1: get into the fetishes.
- 22:11Speaker 2: And cank and fetish. Why an't we supposed to get
- 22:15Speaker 2: know this, this is the only time we can record.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Obviously we're never supposed to get into that stuff store.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Oh my god, man too. But they didn't have money.
- 22:23Speaker 2: They could have gone on the cruise ship and then
- 22:25Speaker 2: the pineapple.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Yeah there is a pineapple people.
- 22:28Speaker 2: M h, we saw the doors. Well can you imagine
- 22:34Speaker 2: going in those rooms?
- 22:35Speaker 1: E Stuart, let's st it's too I know they might
- 22:38Speaker 1: be listening to this at a normal hour, but right
- 22:40Speaker 1: now it's too early for me, so let's just move on.
- 22:43Speaker 2: So they started this were so they started swinging, and
- 22:47Speaker 2: they became really embraced in the lifestyle.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Embraced.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Well that's what you broke, embroiled, embroiled.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Maybe I don't really they really embraced the lifestyle.
- 22:59Speaker 2: They embraced the lifestyle.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Yeah that's right, Okay.
- 23:03Speaker 2: That sounds better right. When discussing this with Justin, he
- 23:08Speaker 2: told police that it really did spice up their love life,
- 23:11Speaker 2: and he and her really enjoyed it, so they kept
- 23:15Speaker 2: doing it.
- 23:15Speaker 1: I'm questioning everything, Justin says. Also, they just got married,
- 23:19Speaker 1: so I don't they literally just met and got married.
- 23:25Speaker 2: People out there Caliqua and Midwest City. I guess.
- 23:28Speaker 1: I know. It's crazy. What's happening Tahquah, I don't know it. Blanchered, Oklahoma.
- 23:34Speaker 1: How many swingers are in Blanchard? That's what I want
- 23:36Speaker 1: to know.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Well, all the dudes.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Maybe there's more. This is a larger lifestyle than I'm
- 23:41Speaker 1: aware of.
- 23:41Speaker 2: It might be. I mean, you are sheltered.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Shut up, stew.
- 23:45Speaker 2: What what happened next, though, took it to another level.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Jamie began offering herself for payment so prosecution and Justin
- 23:56Speaker 2: was supposedly okay with this and would post sexually in
- 24:00Speaker 2: sexual post that had sexual innuendo in them online, saying
- 24:06Speaker 2: it would be worth your time to compensate me. This
- 24:10Speaker 2: was a way for the family to make some extra
- 24:12Speaker 2: money and begin paying debts and living a better life.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Make some extra money, make basically any money. So basically,
- 24:20Speaker 1: just In his pimping out his wife. And let me
- 24:23Speaker 1: tell you what he if you if the episode I
- 24:27Speaker 1: watched for this, it will make you angry listening to
- 24:29Speaker 1: the stupid mom like basically, well it wasn't right, but
- 24:34Speaker 1: blah blah blah, like it's he's pimping out his wife
- 24:37Speaker 1: so he doesn't have to go to work. It's insane.
- 24:40Speaker 2: And maybe worked he had a National Guard jump.
- 24:44Speaker 1: And maybe he was. Maybe Jamie was on board with it,
- 24:48Speaker 1: or at least she said she did. But I can't imagine,
- 24:50Speaker 1: like a pregnant woman at whatever state of pregnancy is
- 24:55Speaker 1: just okay it wants to go out late at night
- 24:57Speaker 1: and go have sex with random men to you know,
- 25:01Speaker 1: save the family. Like this is insane.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Crafting supplies for Christmas, Yes.
- 25:05Speaker 1: This is insane. And for them to say that she
- 25:09Speaker 1: was okay with it or whatever, I'm having a hard
- 25:11Speaker 1: time believe that. But she's not here to tell us
- 25:12Speaker 1: one way or the other. But justin sucks.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Well, she didn't write it down in her diary, dear diary.
- 25:18Speaker 1: She did not stitch it into a uh into a.
- 25:23Speaker 2: It'll point into a pillow.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:25Speaker 2: One of the posts said, I am a single mom
- 25:27Speaker 2: and need to buy toys for my kids. I will
- 25:30Speaker 2: do anything.
- 25:31Speaker 1: And Justin's writing these. He's writing these, he's so fucked up.
- 25:37Speaker 2: He probably just writing down what she told him to run.
- 25:39Speaker 1: No, Justin's terrible.
- 25:42Speaker 2: The couple finally got caught by Justin's mom when she
- 25:45Speaker 2: read an email that was left open responding to an
- 25:49Speaker 2: ad that said, come take care of my wife. I
- 25:52Speaker 2: will drive you around while my wife. How did I
- 25:56Speaker 2: get stuff reading?
- 25:57Speaker 1: These also come with spelled the regular way in the episode,
- 26:01Speaker 1: We're not sure if it was spelled a different way in.
- 26:04Speaker 2: The in the I will drive you around while my
- 26:08Speaker 2: wife sucks you off in the back of our miny van.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I'm so upset because those kids like sit in, like
- 26:13Speaker 1: sit in that mini van. I would be so disturbed
- 26:15Speaker 1: if I found this out later on in life that
- 26:17Speaker 1: this was happening.
- 26:19Speaker 2: All you pay is the fee to be driven. The
- 26:22Speaker 2: pussy is free.
- 26:27Speaker 1: I told you get so much worse. A well.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I like the way they got the legal ease in there,
- 26:31Speaker 2: so they're not actually selling sexual favors.
- 26:34Speaker 1: They're just yeah, They're like, you're just.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Paying for an uber ride back before you know.
- 26:39Speaker 1: What a happy ending?
- 26:40Speaker 2: What a happy ending?
- 26:41Speaker 1: Yes?
- 26:42Speaker 2: Now after finding out, Justin's mom sat down and spoke
- 26:45Speaker 2: to the couple. They stormed out embarrassed, but he later
- 26:50Speaker 2: called his mom and told her that they would stop.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I would never call my mom again. I would be
- 26:54Speaker 1: so traumatized. I we got to move from the truth.
- 26:56Speaker 2: We got to build a fence, a twenty foot fence
- 26:58Speaker 2: between what they need the Oh damn, yeah, they got
- 27:02Speaker 2: a caller every time they need water, don't they.
- 27:04Speaker 1: He's like, oh, fuck, we need water.
- 27:06Speaker 2: I'm not to go talk to my mom now. However,
- 27:09Speaker 2: they did not stop, and Jamie ended up pregnant.
- 27:12Speaker 1: We don't know by who though, so.
- 27:15Speaker 2: When she went missing, she was about two months pregnant.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Now this explains to police why Justin was so evasive
- 27:22Speaker 2: with questions the night that Jamie went missing. They also
- 27:26Speaker 2: realized that Justin's mother, Tina, was lying to them as well.
- 27:31Speaker 2: When they speak to her about where Jamie went that night,
- 27:34Speaker 2: she says she told Justin not to tell police because
- 27:38Speaker 2: they would not look for her if they knew she
- 27:41Speaker 2: was involved with prostitution.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Yeah, so she tells him, She's like, you don't tell
- 27:45Speaker 1: him the truth. Don't tell him what's going on. So
- 27:47Speaker 1: the mom really did a disservice to Jamie because the
- 27:52Speaker 1: police officer, the investigator said, well, that took it to
- 27:54Speaker 1: a whole another level because now we're like, something bad
- 27:56Speaker 1: did happen to her, Like she's gone off with some
- 27:59Speaker 1: guy and he's done something to her or taken her
- 28:02Speaker 1: or something. So it went from just a mom that
- 28:05Speaker 1: was meeting some friends and maybe still with that friend,
- 28:09Speaker 1: you know, stayed the night with them or something too,
- 28:12Speaker 1: uh like a nefarious.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Went from yeah, maybe something not that Sariah, she'll call
- 28:17Speaker 2: her when she wakes up, to oh my god, probably
- 28:20Speaker 2: something probably did happen to her.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Yeah, because the mom's like I used to work in
- 28:24Speaker 1: law enforcement. I know they don't look for for them.
- 28:26Speaker 1: But anyways, so Justin finally comes clean and tells police
- 28:30Speaker 1: that Jamie was meeting a man in Norman, which was
- 28:33Speaker 1: about eighteen miles from their home. It was Norman, I
- 28:35Speaker 1: was I was thinking there was something about like where
- 28:37Speaker 1: the house was, and she was going to meet him
- 28:40Speaker 1: that night to have sex. Now it's storned now as
- 28:44Speaker 1: soon as the investigators found out about this again, he's
- 28:47Speaker 1: sending his wife off at ten pm at night to
- 28:50Speaker 1: meet some strange man to have sex. Didn't even go
- 28:52Speaker 1: with her or anything to like watch like.
- 28:55Speaker 2: At the house. I know somebody has to say on baby,
- 28:57Speaker 2: since it's just so sad, so messed up, somebody has
- 29:01Speaker 2: to stay home and babysit the kids.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Anyways, Why are you looking at me? It's not babysitting
- 29:07Speaker 1: if you're the father Stewart. Wow, Well, what you got
- 29:11Speaker 1: to say about that? Hmmm?
- 29:12Speaker 2: I think it is.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Now they begin to fear that Jamie is not missing,
- 29:19Speaker 1: that something bad has happened to her. They asked Justin
- 29:22Speaker 1: to take a polygraph, which he fails. He continues to
- 29:25Speaker 1: insist that he had nothing to do with Jamie's disappearance,
- 29:27Speaker 1: but police are having a really hard time believing this
- 29:30Speaker 1: since he was has already lied multiple times to them
- 29:33Speaker 1: about Jamie. I mean, once you lie once, your your credibility.
- 29:39Speaker 1: And then all also his odd behavior at the night
- 29:42Speaker 1: of which maybe is now kind of explaining some of that.
- 29:46Speaker 2: It was early in the morning, he didn't have.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Anything, Stuart stop man explaining for this guy. Jesus Christ,
- 29:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna, I don't know what seemed like the right
- 29:54Speaker 1: word that work. Okay, it's early, all right, SA, and.
- 30:02Speaker 2: You haven't had enough coffee. Now you know how Justin felt.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I hate Justin anyways, So she's They start looking at
- 30:11Speaker 1: this angle where a man Jamie was meeting had harmed her.
- 30:14Speaker 1: They look at who she had been speaking to leading
- 30:16Speaker 1: up to the night she went missing. Now she was
- 30:19Speaker 1: messaging several men about meeting up to have sex in
- 30:21Speaker 1: exchange for money. All the men said that they never
- 30:24Speaker 1: actually met up with Jamie except for one. He owned
- 30:27Speaker 1: up to it. He admitted to meeting her through Craigslist
- 30:30Speaker 1: and they meant to have sex. They met, and they
- 30:33Speaker 1: had sex, and then he left. They looked into his
- 30:36Speaker 1: alibi and were able to confirm that he was where
- 30:38Speaker 1: he said he was, you know, during at the time,
- 30:41Speaker 1: and so they keep him on their radar, but they
- 30:43Speaker 1: pivot back to Justin.
- 30:45Speaker 2: So it feels like there's a whole lot of pivoting
- 30:47Speaker 2: going on in this thing.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Pivot, pivot, pivet, no, you know what, it's from them. Unfortunately,
- 30:55Speaker 1: Justin hands over his laptop and he claims that he
- 30:59Speaker 1: was on the internet all night up until three am
- 31:02Speaker 1: when he began looking for Jamie. So he's just hanging
- 31:05Speaker 1: around on the go to fucking bed like Jesus Christ,
- 31:08Speaker 1: go to bed and get a job anyway, So they
- 31:11Speaker 1: receive his cell phone records and find some shocking informations.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Due why do I keep saying shocking at giving you opportunities?
- 31:18Speaker 1: The cell towers where Justin's phone were pinging that night
- 31:21Speaker 1: were the same ones that Jamie was pinging from, meaning
- 31:24Speaker 1: that they were together all night. They were pinging off
- 31:27Speaker 1: that same one near the near the Midwest Cities. Now
- 31:31Speaker 1: this was happening even at the time of her disappearance.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Shut up, I know.
- 31:37Speaker 1: So they bring Justin back in and question him about
- 31:39Speaker 1: the records. Well, he denies being with Jamie in any involvement.
- 31:42Speaker 1: He's like, I don't know what's happening, but this is
- 31:45Speaker 1: definitely not me true. After this conversation, Justin contacted a
- 31:50Speaker 1: defense attorney and he just stops talking to police altogether.
- 31:53Speaker 1: It was apparently some like uppity defense attorney in that area.
- 31:58Speaker 1: My question is he did not get a private defender.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Where did he get this money? Mama, Mama probably gave
- 32:04Speaker 1: him some money.
- 32:05Speaker 2: How she gave him money for an attorney when she
- 32:07Speaker 2: can't even put them in a well.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Response put him in a house, she did, She put
- 32:12Speaker 1: him in a trailer.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Pay for water.
- 32:15Speaker 1: She is paying for their water. She's not going to
- 32:18Speaker 1: retrofit the trailer or whatever for running water.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Oh, it didn't have water pipes going to it.
- 32:24Speaker 1: I'm sure it just didn't have like pipes going to it.
- 32:26Speaker 1: It would have been a whole ordeal. Yeah, a whole ordeal.
- 32:31Speaker 2: A month goes by with no real brakes in the
- 32:33Speaker 2: case when a call comes into nine one one a
- 32:36Speaker 2: female body had been found at fifty ninth and Douglas
- 32:39Speaker 2: near Draper Lake. If you know where Draper.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Lake is, I do put the exact location because someone
- 32:44Speaker 1: might be from that area Steward and they know what
- 32:46Speaker 1: we're talking.
- 32:46Speaker 2: About talking to it that if you know, Yeah, if
- 32:49Speaker 2: you know.
- 32:50Speaker 1: You don't know, then you're like, why do we what
- 32:52Speaker 1: do I care about that location?
- 32:54Speaker 2: Investigators arrive on the scene and they find a woman
- 32:57Speaker 2: who had been brutally murdered, and they immediately knew they
- 33:00Speaker 2: were looking at Jamie Adams.
- 33:03Speaker 1: And so I'm assuming there's probably not in this town
- 33:06Speaker 1: or an area that's small. I mean, Norman wasn't too
- 33:08Speaker 1: far away, but probably not a lot of missing women
- 33:11Speaker 1: in that age range that I mean. I'm sure it
- 33:13Speaker 1: was a big story for her to be missing like that.
- 33:17Speaker 1: It doesn't it's not really happening.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Is this all conjecture on your part?
- 33:20Speaker 1: Yes, okay.
- 33:21Speaker 2: An autopsy would show a brutal death. Her jaw was
- 33:24Speaker 2: broken in two places, and she was stabbed multiple times.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Police thought it was overkill. The violence of the death
- 33:31Speaker 2: indicated that it was a personal killing and that the
- 33:35Speaker 2: killer probably knew Jamie. Police are completely set on Justin
- 33:39Speaker 2: as the killer, and they continue to look into him
- 33:42Speaker 2: while his mother and attorney go to bad for him,
- 33:45Speaker 2: doing interviews and professing his innocence. However, police also discovered
- 33:53Speaker 2: during that time that Justin had a one hundred thousand
- 33:55Speaker 2: dollars life insurance policy on Jamie, giving him a hundred
- 34:00Speaker 2: thousand motives to kill his wife to relieve their financial issues.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're if you're struggling that much, one hundred
- 34:07Speaker 1: thousand dollars, you're you in your own.
- 34:09Speaker 2: You can't afford water, but you got money every month
- 34:12Speaker 2: for a life insurance biles.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Well, we'll get into it, but one hundred thousand dollars
- 34:18Speaker 1: that's life changing if you can't even afford running water.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Although I feel like if you just got handed one
- 34:23Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars. If you were mismanaging and didn't want
- 34:25Speaker 1: to work, it's one hundred thousand dollars. It did your
- 34:27Speaker 1: ticket to never work again like that. It does not,
- 34:30Speaker 1: I know, but it doesn't go as far as you
- 34:32Speaker 1: would think. But people, I mean, I can see how
- 34:35Speaker 1: you think it would be, like, oh my god, if
- 34:36Speaker 1: I got that, I have to work.
- 34:38Speaker 2: I mean I could live to be aged ninety and
- 34:40Speaker 2: missus trailer and flying on my G five.
- 34:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:44Speaker 2: However, just to deny is knowing anything about the insurance policy,
- 34:49Speaker 2: he said it was part of his military package that
- 34:52Speaker 2: he had just signed, which is horse crep. Because Yesjli
- 34:55Speaker 2: only covers yourself. Okay, well they I mean, I think
- 34:58Speaker 2: you can actually might be able to get it to.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Okay, because he is telling the truth. They did find
- 35:03Speaker 1: out that he just signed these papers or whatever, and
- 35:07Speaker 1: this was included in the paperwork that he signed, so
- 35:11Speaker 1: he actually wasn't paying for it, and he did not
- 35:12Speaker 1: he was actually not aware of the life insurance possible.
- 35:15Speaker 2: I did not have a spouse when I signed mine,
- 35:17Speaker 2: So okay, well now you do mine just covered me mine?
- 35:23Speaker 2: You mean, back when I was free.
- 35:27Speaker 1: We talk about this a lot about what we would be.
- 35:31Speaker 1: I was looking for something and you know, like you
- 35:33Speaker 1: can search your text messages and so I was. It
- 35:38Speaker 1: took me back like several several years before we had children,
- 35:41Speaker 1: even before I was when I was a waitress and
- 35:44Speaker 1: stuff like that, and there was some I felt like
- 35:48Speaker 1: it was a sad life. So she's like it was
- 35:51Speaker 1: a great life.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Oh sad life just us?
- 35:56Speaker 1: Well, yeah, because I don't want I don't want to.
- 35:58Speaker 1: I mean, if we didn't never have children, and it
- 36:00Speaker 1: would have been, we would have been okay, it was
- 36:02Speaker 1: never on my radar to have children. But it is
- 36:04Speaker 1: like a different It moves you into a different state
- 36:08Speaker 1: of mind when you have when you have children, different priorities. Yeah,
- 36:11Speaker 1: but I mean, if like I never had children, I
- 36:13Speaker 1: would never know this and I just continue like traveling.
- 36:16Speaker 2: And do we have enough alcohol in the house for
- 36:18Speaker 2: this weekend?
- 36:19Speaker 1: Yes? Yes, Now I don't drink at all, like I
- 36:22Speaker 1: drink it on vacation, but at home I quit drinking
- 36:26Speaker 1: basically all together. And Stude maybe has when we record
- 36:29Speaker 1: this podcast, we'll have a toddy drink.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Yet you've ruined that by making me up.
- 36:34Speaker 1: I came to have it with coffee.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Yes, all right, anyway. Police also discovered that in the
- 36:43Speaker 2: month leading up to the murder, Jamie called police and
- 36:47Speaker 2: was taken to a woman's shelter for a few days,
- 36:49Speaker 2: but that she ultimately really ultimately returned to Justin. Justin's mom, Tina,
- 36:54Speaker 2: confirmed that she had seen domestic violence going both ways.
- 36:58Speaker 1: I feel like you skipped something there, you do, Yeah,
- 37:04Speaker 1: it is something that it was.
- 37:07Speaker 2: No, I didn't. Okay, you're full of cram.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Okay, maybe I just missed it. Maybe I was just
- 37:12Speaker 1: thinking about what I was going to say and I
- 37:13Speaker 1: wasn't painted to what you were saying.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Typical. Typically you're always worried about yourself, not me. On
- 37:19Speaker 2: top of all this, they find out that Justin had
- 37:21Speaker 2: a new girlfriend within a week of Jamie going missing.
- 37:25Speaker 2: When question about this, he said that he was missing
- 37:29Speaker 2: a woman's touch.
- 37:31Speaker 1: I can relate, Justin, I touched you, just one more
- 37:36Speaker 1: of an aggressive manner. So with all of this information,
- 37:40Speaker 1: so Justin's like frolicking off with his new girlfriend after
- 37:42Speaker 1: a week, which is pretty messed up. So, I mean,
- 37:45Speaker 1: this is almost a story that should be pretty missed up.
- 37:48Speaker 2: As bad as it is, y'all need Jesus, And yes,
- 37:51Speaker 2: I mean.
- 37:52Speaker 1: This could be a Jesus if you just summarized it
- 37:55Speaker 1: into a couple of paragraphs.
- 37:56Speaker 2: It is kind of Jerry Springer ish.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Yeah, So, with all this inform, Justin is arrested and
- 38:01Speaker 1: charged with two counts of first degree murder on the
- 38:03Speaker 1: day of Jamie's funeral. Now this is due to the
- 38:06Speaker 1: fact that he killed that Jamie's passed away and the
- 38:09Speaker 1: unborn child. He was denied Belle and would sit in
- 38:12Speaker 1: jail until his trial. A private and investigator joined Justin's
- 38:16Speaker 1: team and pressed police to look into other possibilities, but
- 38:19Speaker 1: none panned out. Where does he again, the mom, I
- 38:21Speaker 1: guess must have Maybe she She's probably going into debt
- 38:25Speaker 1: trying to help this guy. Anyway. So meanwhile, testing finally
- 38:30Speaker 1: came in from some seamen found in Jamie's in Jamie's body,
- 38:34Speaker 1: Now it did not match the DNA of any of
- 38:36Speaker 1: the men they had samples from because they had taken
- 38:38Speaker 1: samples from the Johns. But there was one John that
- 38:42Speaker 1: did not provide a sample, but also denied actually meeting
- 38:46Speaker 1: up with her. Now they go back to this guy.
- 38:49Speaker 1: His name is Joseph Sear. He was in the military
- 38:52Speaker 1: and he had a clean record. Well, he denies being
- 38:54Speaker 1: involved and will not produce a DNA sample.
- 38:57Speaker 2: So now we just gotta wait for you to smoke
- 38:59Speaker 2: a cigarette clop and follow you around.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Now with this information, they need to Without this, they
- 39:05Speaker 1: need to go get more information so that they can
- 39:07Speaker 1: get a warrant. So they speak to his girlfriend at
- 39:10Speaker 1: the time, and she said that she recalled seeing him
- 39:12Speaker 1: around two am and everything seemed to be normal. However,
- 39:16Speaker 1: the next morning, Joseph was washing his truck and changed
- 39:19Speaker 1: all four tires, which is weird. She's like, he doesn't.
- 39:23Speaker 1: This isn't like something that he does. He doesn't. I'd
- 39:25Speaker 1: never seen any you know, wash his truck. She hadn't
- 39:28Speaker 1: been with him that long, but this was odd behavior.
- 39:31Speaker 1: So with a little bit of that suspicion in him
- 39:35Speaker 1: being one of the Johns, they were able to obtain
- 39:37Speaker 1: a warrant for a DNA sample and he was a
- 39:39Speaker 1: match steward. Now, yes, so they arrest Joseph Sear for
- 39:44Speaker 1: first agree murder. Did you see that one coming? I
- 39:47Speaker 1: did not, especially because I talk so bad about Justin,
- 39:50Speaker 1: which I do stand behind everything I said.
- 39:52Speaker 2: And then he was a pack her head.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Yes, So Justin was not released free of charges. However,
- 39:58Speaker 1: he ended up pleading guilty to first agree manslaughter and
- 40:01Speaker 1: this was for leading his wife into harm by aiding
- 40:04Speaker 1: in her prostitution. He was sentenced, but due to a
- 40:07Speaker 1: time served, he was released from jail. Mmmmmmm, now you
- 40:13Speaker 1: may be wondering about a few things too, I might be.
- 40:17Speaker 1: So those cell phone records were Justin and Jamie were
- 40:19Speaker 1: pinging off the same tower. They had the FBI look
- 40:22Speaker 1: into it, and it was actually just this anomaly that
- 40:24Speaker 1: happened in the with the phone company, and then there
- 40:28Speaker 1: was a glitch whenever they pulled the records, and so
- 40:31Speaker 1: they were picking off the same tower. Whenever they redid
- 40:34Speaker 1: the records, he was actually picking off a different tower.
- 40:36Speaker 1: So I'm starting to question some things.
- 40:38Speaker 2: About towers that we need a second opinion.
- 40:42Speaker 1: And then two Joseph Sear. He was sentenced to life
- 40:46Speaker 1: without parole, and they believed that he killed Jamie because
- 40:49Speaker 1: when they talked to the girlfriend, they said he would
- 40:51Speaker 1: get really upset if if if she asked him to
- 40:54Speaker 1: use a condom and stuff like almost violent, and so
- 40:58Speaker 1: they believed Justin said that when Jamie had sex with
- 41:01Speaker 1: these guys, she always wore a condom or always had
- 41:03Speaker 1: them wear a condom, and they believe that that just
- 41:06Speaker 1: and he's just like this controlling guy that infuriated him
- 41:09Speaker 1: and he ended up stabbing and beating her. He still
- 41:13Speaker 1: denies involvement, so they don't know the whole story, but
- 41:15Speaker 1: that's what.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Happened to Joseph denies involvement. Yes, uh, with his with
- 41:21Speaker 2: his seamen found inside of jays.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Yes, he denies involvement. All right, So moving on from
- 41:25Speaker 1: this case, Stewart very sad. I can't believe that jackass
- 41:29Speaker 1: put his wife in that position, pamping her out. Yeah,
- 41:32Speaker 1: multiple positions actually, but inappropriate, I know. Okay, sorry, put
- 41:38Speaker 1: it in the review, all right? Do you have a
- 41:39Speaker 1: yell need Jesus.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Of course I do.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Okay, let's get to uh, let's get to it. Stue.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Coming to us from the Washington Examiner October eleventh, twenty
- 41:49Speaker 2: twenty two, by a fellow by the name of Brad
- 41:51Speaker 2: knox Man charged with robbing store with a finger gun, Oh, Florida,
- 41:58Speaker 2: not Florida, Florida, Florida man police are pointing fingers that
- 42:04Speaker 2: a Florida man accused of attempting to rob a store
- 42:07Speaker 2: while armed only with a finger gun a police report
- 42:10Speaker 2: shows Paul James Sinclair, fifty six, entered a Florida store
- 42:14Speaker 2: Monday afternoon with his hand tucked in his shirt, positioned
- 42:18Speaker 2: as if he had a gun.
- 42:19Speaker 1: I love the last name Sinclair. I wish that was
- 42:22Speaker 1: my last name.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Well, we could name our next child Sinclair.
- 42:24Speaker 1: The first Oh, we couldn't name him Sinclair. I also
- 42:29Speaker 1: liked the name Beauregard, but I feel like it's a
- 42:31Speaker 1: little bit much.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Probably Saint Clair's god name Beauregard.
- 42:34Speaker 1: So we were talking about naming a child that, and
- 42:37Speaker 1: that never came up. Stuart, Yeah, Beauregard.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Yeah. I had a labrador brown, a chocolate brown lab
- 42:43Speaker 2: named Beauregard.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Oh okay, well, anyways, I don't recall that coming up
- 42:49Speaker 1: in the discussions when we were thinking of baby names.
- 42:52Speaker 2: He then ordered the cashier to hand over the money
- 42:55Speaker 2: in the cash register, which told one hundred and twenty dollars.
- 42:59Speaker 2: She obliged. The report added he was apprehended at one
- 43:02Speaker 2: thirty six PM, just minutes after he entered the store
- 43:05Speaker 2: at around one twenty five. It isn't known, and.
- 43:08Speaker 1: That might be the shortest robbery. He should look at
- 43:11Speaker 1: the guinness.
- 43:12Speaker 2: He was not on the run that very long eleven minutes.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that's got to be where the police right there?
- 43:17Speaker 1: I don't understand.
- 43:18Speaker 2: I don't know what's going on with this fella.
- 43:21Speaker 1: It is not known I missed a convenience store.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I told you.
- 43:25Speaker 1: Okay, Well if you don't remember, how am I supposed
- 43:27Speaker 1: to remember?
- 43:29Speaker 2: He walked into a store?
- 43:31Speaker 1: What kind of store?
- 43:31Speaker 2: I didn't say, Okay, a Florida store. That's what kind
- 43:34Speaker 2: of story.
- 43:35Speaker 1: That sums it up right there. That was his first.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Mistake, okay, And I got some more information for you.
- 43:42Speaker 2: It isn't known how the suspect was apprehended so quickly,
- 43:45Speaker 2: or whether the cashier was able to alert authorities while
- 43:49Speaker 2: the unarmed robbery was going on. He warned her not
- 43:52Speaker 2: to press any buttons or alert authorities in any other
- 43:55Speaker 2: way during the incidents armed robbery though it's an incident now,
- 44:01Speaker 2: not a not a robbery.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Can't be charged with armed robbery if they just thought
- 44:06Speaker 1: he had a gun and we're like, oh is that
- 44:08Speaker 1: a gun or in your pocket? Was happy to see me?
- 44:10Speaker 2: What if you bring a water gun that looks like
- 44:11Speaker 2: a real gun in there?
- 44:13Speaker 1: Not an ar robbery?
- 44:14Speaker 2: Okay, I know it's not actually, but you're trying to
- 44:17Speaker 2: make it look like one.
- 44:18Speaker 1: I mean, unless you're robbing me because I'm so sweet,
- 44:20Speaker 1: I might melt.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Oh Jesus. He was not on any drugs or under
- 44:27Speaker 2: the influence of any alcohol, unlike Kara during the time
- 44:30Speaker 2: of the arrest.
- 44:31Speaker 1: And we just talked about me not drinking it.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Well I'm not. Hours later, I'm.
- 44:36Speaker 1: Not under the influence and anything.
- 44:39Speaker 2: No weapons were recovered. Officials, you're high, all right, Well
- 44:45Speaker 2: that's our yeall need Jesus for the week. Mister Sinclair,
- 44:48Speaker 2: what was he charged with that.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Wasn't paying attention? He didn't get charged with anything, and
- 44:54Speaker 1: doesn't say they should just let him go. I mean
- 44:56Speaker 1: he didn't.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Really, This is the kind of guy we want wander
- 44:59Speaker 2: in the streets of Florida, an.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Unarmed person that's just be like, hey, let me just
- 45:03Speaker 1: walk in and see if they'll give me some money.
- 45:04Speaker 1: And somebody you know was going to.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Those finger guns could have gone off and hurt somebody.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, all right, So that's our y'all need Jesus.
- 45:13Speaker 1: That's our case for the week. It is not in
- 45:16Speaker 1: the morning anymore. It is now nighttime because we ran
- 45:19Speaker 1: out of time. This morning because we woke up late.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Yeah you woke up.
- 45:25Speaker 1: No, you weren't. My alarm went off at six am.
- 45:30Speaker 1: I got up at six thirty. No, you're prepping. No,
- 45:35Speaker 1: you weren't doing anything. You were you were snoring problem anyway,
- 45:40Speaker 1: So maybe maybe next week we'll tell you about the
- 45:42Speaker 1: balloon festival. And how do you almost because it's late
- 45:46Speaker 1: and I don't want to do it right now.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Almost almost.
- 45:49Speaker 1: You almost set the alarm off in the hotel. You
- 45:53Speaker 1: burned his sofa pia in the microwave at like four.
- 46:00Speaker 2: The hotel.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Yeah, four thirty in the morning. And bear in mind
- 46:05Speaker 1: that there's probably for this particular event, the bloom Fiesta,
- 46:09Speaker 1: you do have to get up early, so most of
- 46:11Speaker 1: the hotel was probably up early, but not everybody. And yeah,
- 46:14Speaker 1: he almost, we're over there like fanning this thing out.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Our hotel stunk for like the rest of the day.
- 46:21Speaker 1: The guy that came, he's like, yeah, we could spell
- 46:22Speaker 1: it all the way on the other side of the building.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Mm hmmm, all the way down the Halloway toward the elevators.
- 46:27Speaker 1: He thought he'd put the sofa pia in for twenty seconds,
- 46:30Speaker 1: and he put it in for two minutes and it
- 46:32Speaker 1: started catching on fire.
- 46:34Speaker 2: It did. I had to take it out, throw it
- 46:36Speaker 2: in the throw it in the row, some water over it.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Of course, I am not nice at all because this
- 46:43Speaker 1: is four thirty in the morning. I'm just I'm over
- 46:45Speaker 1: there pumping. I can do anything.
- 46:47Speaker 2: When are you okay?
- 46:48Speaker 1: Well, I wasn't nice. He's like, I'm just trying to
- 46:50Speaker 1: do something nice for the.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Children, Michael, God damn donut.
- 46:56Speaker 1: And then I felt bad because I was like all pissy.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Keep on.
- 47:00Speaker 1: The morning before the first morning though, I overran the
- 47:04Speaker 1: coffee pot because it was one of those stupid curegs
- 47:06Speaker 1: where you gotta put the exact amount of water in
- 47:08Speaker 1: that you want to put and it's not like it
- 47:10Speaker 1: does that auto show. And then I was pumping again.
- 47:15Speaker 1: I do a lot of pumping. Don't even say anything.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Start Anyways, I overflowed the coffee thing because it just
- 47:26Speaker 1: kept running, and I'm like, oh my god, let's do it.
- 47:28Speaker 1: I can't do anything because I'm like hooked up to
- 47:30Speaker 1: a machine that's like mechanically removing the milk. Anyway, so
- 47:37Speaker 1: that was different.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Am No, Stuart, what.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Is wrong with you? This is not After Dark podcast? Okay,
- 47:51Speaker 1: all right, So, well, there was other things that have happened.
- 47:55Speaker 1: I can't even remember. We have to start jotting it
- 47:59Speaker 1: down because I cause there's funny.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Patron Oh, jotting down the funny stuff that I havepped.
- 48:04Speaker 1: Yeah, because there's always something, you know, like.
- 48:06Speaker 2: The boy that got apple juice all over him. Oh yeah,
- 48:10Speaker 2: right on the first day.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Yeah, the first day he spilled apple juice all over himself.
- 48:14Speaker 2: Didn't know until we got there.
- 48:15Speaker 1: Yeah, so then he had to just I mean, we're
- 48:17Speaker 1: just like it's happening, like all these balloons are going up.
- 48:19Speaker 1: You just got to go for it.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Yeah. We just paid twenty dollars.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Sorry boy, we just paid twenty dollars for parking.
- 48:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Oh we yeah, And then I can if you ever
- 48:28Speaker 1: go to the balloon Fiesta, I'll look up that street
- 48:31Speaker 1: that they told that I found that random TikTok comment
- 48:34Speaker 1: that helped us get a short cut. But yeah, yeah,
- 48:39Speaker 1: Saturday was the worst anyways. But we gotta go to sleep, nogs.
- 48:44Speaker 1: We've been up early.
- 48:46Speaker 2: I got to eat because I haven't been allowed to
