- 0:00Speaker 1: The following program contains coarse language and adult themes. Listener
- 0:05Speaker 1: discretion is advised. Thank you. The back of my hand.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I don't give a damn.
- 0:50Speaker 2: I carry the crown.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Nothing can break.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Nothing can break me down.
- 1:06Speaker 3: I don't give a damn I'm.
- 1:08Speaker 1: The man come round nothing can break me down I'm
- 1:15Speaker 1: the man come round and the All right, all right,
- 1:45Speaker 1: all right.
- 1:46Speaker 4: I let it play a little bit longer than usual
- 1:47Speaker 4: because it's been a minute since we've been able to
- 1:49Speaker 4: play it, but we're here. We're live. It's Toxic Masculinity,
- 1:53Speaker 4: and Andrew has his camera on with it covered, so
- 1:57Speaker 4: hang on a second.
- 2:02Speaker 3: No, I don't. I have the camera off.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 2:07Speaker 4: No, still showing. Because it was showing as a blank screen. Well,
- 2:11Speaker 4: it was still showing as a blank screen, which means
- 2:13Speaker 4: there was some sort of a placeholder where your camera
- 2:15Speaker 4: is supposed to be. But I fixed it. It's all right. Anyway,
- 2:17Speaker 4: so we're here. We're live. It's Wednesday. It's also Toxic
- 2:21Speaker 4: Masculinity Day. And we are joined by some of our
- 2:24Speaker 4: usual cohorts. G is still on hiatus, but we do
- 2:27Speaker 4: have the lovely and the talented, the bar babe, the
- 2:32Speaker 4: one who helps you get a little toasty, hopefully, while
- 2:34Speaker 4: you're listening to the show, because the lord knows sometimes
- 2:37Speaker 4: you need it um but we have aggie so how
- 2:39Speaker 4: you doing ma'am how's things.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I am doing pretty good uh it feels like i
- 2:44Speaker 1: was just here yesterday it's kind of odd but okay.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Kind of because you kind of because you were but
- 2:49Speaker 4: it wasn't the other studio so you weren't.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Necessarily yes it was the other studio so it wasn't
- 2:53Speaker 1: really here here but it was here there everywhere.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Yeah here there and everywhere okay yeah okay there's there's
- 3:01Speaker 4: a reason we call you a hoardie with ovaries Okay.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Wow.
- 3:09Speaker 1: All righty.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Horty with headlights?
- 3:13Speaker 4: Yeah. Hey, that's my new one. I'm stealing that, Andrew.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Actually, well, I mean, since we are talking about toxicity,
- 3:25Speaker 4: let's just get it all out the way. Horty with
- 3:27Speaker 4: high beams. There we go. There we go.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Nice high beams.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Speaking of almost, there he is.
- 3:40Speaker 4: How we doing, Amish? How's things?
- 3:42Speaker 2: You know, just sliding in here. Wasn't entirely sure of
- 3:45Speaker 2: the whole conversation, but now I am. Boobs.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Well, to be fair, we only just started because I
- 3:50Speaker 4: was like, you know what? It's me after this anyway,
- 3:53Speaker 4: so I don't really care. We'll give it a few
- 3:55Speaker 4: minutes to make sure Amish isn't super, super late. Because, yeah,
- 3:59Speaker 4: I still haven't heard from DC.
- 4:01Speaker 3: So.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Interesting coinkydink that I was discussing with Aggie in the
- 4:06Speaker 4: green room. Do you remember what the title of the
- 4:09Speaker 4: last successfully pulled off Min Explained Poorly was? Because this
- 4:13Speaker 4: was like a week or so before Vincent wound up
- 4:15Speaker 4: in the hospital.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Is that the one where we were avoiding.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Avoidance.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Avoidance and procrastination. Avoidance.
- 4:27Speaker 4: A man's best skill. It's almost like the universe was
- 4:32Speaker 4: trying to say something.
- 4:34Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 4:36Speaker 2: And like Aggie, I feel like I was just here
- 4:38Speaker 2: two nights ago, but it was in a different studio
- 4:40Speaker 2: on a different network. But also on.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:44Speaker 1: But also on. Kind of here, there, everywhere.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Still have alcohol. Yes.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Nice. Speaking of alcohol, how are you digging being back
- 4:57Speaker 4: with Foo, sir? How's that? How are you liking it?
- 5:01Speaker 2: That's fun. That's fun. It's... She's rusty as hell, and
- 5:06Speaker 2: that's fantastic. And it's a lot of fun. And she's
- 5:09Speaker 2: still using the same microphone that she was using when
- 5:11Speaker 2: we were using Skype. So if she decides to continue on,
- 5:17Speaker 2: I know what I'm getting her for Christmas.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Yeah, well, you know. Who is a creature of habit?
- 5:24Speaker 4: So that doesn't surprise me.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Well, I mean, she has a podcast since we were
- 5:28Speaker 2: using Skype. That was, you know, KRM version 0.5. We're
- 5:31Speaker 2: on version 8 now.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Right, right.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Well, no, no, no, no. Hang on. To be fair,
- 5:38Speaker 4: Jeff is on version eight. I'm still hanging out somewhere.
- 5:40Speaker 4: I'm five point five.
- 5:43Speaker 1: It's still above point five.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Yes.
- 5:47Speaker 1: So there. Yeah.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 2: But yeah, no, it's fine. It's good fun. And, you know,
- 5:52Speaker 2: her actually, you know, moving away from the apple juice
- 5:56Speaker 2: and heart and leaning into hard spirits like markers make.
- 6:02Speaker 4: That was awesome. I almost had AI redo the label
- 6:09Speaker 4: and send it to her. No, I'm not going to
- 6:11Speaker 4: be that mean.
- 6:12Speaker 2: On the show on Monday, I came up with it.
- 6:15Speaker 2: This is how quick Jeff works. I came up with
- 6:17Speaker 2: an idea like 10 seconds before showtime. I was like, damn,
- 6:20Speaker 2: we should have gotten a graphic for this. This show
- 6:22Speaker 2: is sponsored by Marker's Make. He had it by showtime.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Yes, he did. He showed it to me last night
- 6:28Speaker 1: and I was dying.
- 6:32Speaker 4: Oh, that's funny. see I was listening I was listening
- 6:37Speaker 4: but I wasn't watching the screen so yeah because I
- 6:40Speaker 4: was doing other stuff but I was paying attention so
- 6:45Speaker 4: round one I had to catch replay but yeah I'm.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Trying to draw her back into the fam.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Yeah she keeps saying next week's it I'm like are you.
- 6:56Speaker 6: Sure about that I don't think so yeah I mean,
- 7:00Speaker 6: this was just a pilot to see if people wanted
- 7:03Speaker 6: it and then if she wanted to continue doing it.
- 7:06Speaker 2: But she seems to be having fun and just doing
- 7:08Speaker 2: a half hour. Yeah.
- 7:12Speaker 5: Well, she's also not busy now either because the kids
- 7:14Speaker 5: are graduating out of the house.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Right.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And me shouting drunk con levels every few minutes.
- 7:22Speaker 1: That's rather epic.
- 7:24Speaker 4: I mean, to be fair, she's over it.
- 7:26Speaker 2: We had drunk con two people.
- 7:28Speaker 4: She has fur babies in the middle of election season.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 2: So we'll see if she'll want to continue on after
- 7:36Speaker 2: the election. But until then.
- 7:39Speaker 4: We shall see. We shall see. Yeah.
- 7:42Speaker 5: So are you doing an election night roundup, Rick?
- 7:46Speaker 4: We will be, but it's going to start off on
- 7:48Speaker 4: Digital Beacon. So I don't interrupt Brad and Aggie.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Actually, Brad has a previous engagement with Mediaite. So we
- 7:56Speaker 1: will allow you guys to take over because it is
- 8:00Speaker 1: election night. It is a midterms and we tend to
- 8:03Speaker 1: do that anyway. So, yeah, you might as well just
- 8:08Speaker 1: park it. All right.
- 8:10Speaker 4: Because, yeah, I know we probably won't. I know we
- 8:12Speaker 4: probably won't do a MEP that week anyway, because Amish
- 8:15Speaker 4: is going to be pole dancing.
- 8:16Speaker 3: I mean, working. So, yeah.
- 8:20Speaker 5: So.
- 8:22Speaker 2: That's synonymous, Rick.
- 8:27Speaker 3: I will be working the pearls.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I know.
- 8:32Speaker 4: We're going to change your name to Cinnamon for that night, sir.
- 8:35Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Or are you.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Going to make him the makers?
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah, the markers make.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Markers make.
- 8:48Speaker 4: I may actually borrow that from Jeff and use it
- 8:51Speaker 4: on the political stuff all night. Just keep randomly popping
- 8:54Speaker 4: it up. Because if it goes the way it historically
- 8:59Speaker 4: is supposed to go, I may need some markers before
- 9:03Speaker 4: the night's over. Anyway.
- 9:09Speaker 3: We also need to probably work on our drunk game.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Drink game.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Oh, the bingo?
- 9:16Speaker 5: Bingo.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:18Speaker 5: I think we could start with Unprecedented. I imagine I
- 9:22Speaker 5: could get pretty drunk off of that in an hour.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Unprecedented.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Or the Elf Fatada.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Nice. Fatada?
- 9:37Speaker 2: No, the Elf Fatada.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Elf Syed. God, I love that.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Yeah, Elf Syed. Yeah, the keyboard jihad.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Trump's key.
- 9:51Speaker 2: I just gave up on all these when I was
- 9:53Speaker 2: in the shower.
- 9:55Speaker 1: That's impressive.
- 9:57Speaker 4: While he was having his shower beard aboot. pretty sure.
- 10:00Speaker 2: While I was having my shower beer, exactly. Men, the
- 10:05Speaker 2: way to be toxic? Shower beers. Especially if you wear PPE.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Who would wear PPE in the shower?
- 10:14Speaker 2: Do I want to know?
- 10:17Speaker 3: No.
- 10:17Speaker 4: PPE for day jobs.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Got it. Okay. So not in the shower. Got it.
- 10:25Speaker 3: No, he wasn't talking about.
- 10:26Speaker 4: I mean, maybe I do.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I mean, wouldn't you like to know?
- 10:30Speaker 4: I mean, he could.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 10:32Speaker 1: No.
- 10:32Speaker 7: Actually, I would not like to know.
- 10:43Speaker 4: I'm seeing all kinds of social media accounts talking about
- 10:45Speaker 4: how they're voting red. I'm really hoping these aren't people
- 10:47Speaker 4: just trying to get other people to stay home. Because.
- 10:52Speaker 1: At this point you know that that's that is a
- 10:56Speaker 1: high probability.
- 10:58Speaker 4: It's all fake and gay hey it's a Vincent sighting
- 11:03Speaker 4: almost yeah since he can't be here I'll say it.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Nice it is all fake and or gay.
- 11:10Speaker 4: And we have a Campbell sighting on the YouTube chat
- 11:16Speaker 4: the only name I like to see popping up on
- 11:18Speaker 4: YouTube because the rest of them are fake and gay So, yeah.
- 11:23Speaker 4: YouTube has been kind of popping off on the daytime
- 11:25Speaker 4: stuff again. I'm sorry, what was that?
- 11:30Speaker 3: I know most of Nigeria and India is voting red.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Yes.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Of course they are.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Probably.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I voted last week. I had a good time.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Yeah. Our early voting started yesterday. I'm trying to figure
- 11:48Speaker 4: out if there's a way that I can go get
- 11:50Speaker 4: it done before election day because I've been having to
- 11:54Speaker 4: do all kinds of extra stuff lately on my Tuesdays, Thursdays,
- 11:58Speaker 4: and Saturdays. But it's all good. So anyway.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Okay.
- 12:12Speaker 4: So where we want to go first, we want to
- 12:14Speaker 4: win since technically we got a late start. We're already
- 12:17Speaker 4: 20 minutes into the time slot, but I don't really
- 12:19Speaker 4: care if we run over for a few minutes, but
- 12:20Speaker 4: I think we might as well get the drink out early.
- 12:22Speaker 4: So if anybody wants to step away and make one,
- 12:24Speaker 4: they can. So we got fourth and then we got
- 12:27Speaker 4: any pre-election imbibing for us going.
- 12:30Speaker 1: On, maybe. Considering that it's right before Halloween, I had
- 12:38Speaker 1: to pick a Halloween themed cocktail and this one is
- 12:44Speaker 1: this one is like the classic tiki cocktail it's the
- 12:47Speaker 1: zombie but for those of you unaware it is rather
- 12:51Speaker 1: an intensive cocktail it's not a simple two three ingredient
- 12:56Speaker 1: cocktail um you're gonna take um three quarter ounce fresh
- 13:01Speaker 1: lime juice half an ounce of falernum so that's a
- 13:04Speaker 1: specialized you know liqueur uh one and a half ounces
- 13:08Speaker 1: of gold rum an ounce of Demerara rum, so that's
- 13:16Speaker 1: another specialty thing, two teaspoons of grenadine, six drops or
- 13:22Speaker 1: so per node, a dash of Angostura beers, and half
- 13:27Speaker 1: an ounce of Don's Mix. And Don's Mix is just
- 13:30Speaker 1: basically a two-to-one mixture of grapefruit juice and cinnamon-infused simple syrup.
- 13:36Speaker 1: That was Don's Mix. Don the beachcomber. And you're going
- 13:42Speaker 1: to add all of that to a blender with three
- 13:45Speaker 1: quarter cups of crushed ice and blend for just a
- 13:48Speaker 1: few seconds. And you're going to pour that into a
- 13:51Speaker 1: tall Collins glass and drink it. That's it. It's just,
- 13:57Speaker 1: there are specialized, you know, items in it. So it's
- 14:01Speaker 1: not for, you know, a regular bar, but if you're
- 14:05Speaker 1: at a bar, chances are they can make it for you.
- 14:08Speaker 3: I'm sorry, that would be too expensive. I'll stay with
- 14:10Speaker 3: my markers, Mike.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Markers.
- 14:16Speaker 2: No, as somebody who's worked at a well-stocked bar, several
- 14:21Speaker 2: of them, half of those items are not your common
- 14:25Speaker 2: bar fare.
- 14:26Speaker 1: They're not. They're not.
- 14:27Speaker 2: They're not. So if you do see a zombie on
- 14:30Speaker 2: the menu, get it. Because that means they're doing it right.
- 14:34Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Because no place is going to put a zombie on
- 14:37Speaker 2: the menu and kind of half-ass it.
- 14:40Speaker 4: I mean, if you see a zombie on the menu,
- 14:43Speaker 4: double-tap it and then pick the menu up off the floor.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I had to be careful because I went to a
- 14:52Speaker 1: bar and they actually advertised they had a zombie. And
- 14:56Speaker 1: it was served in a tiki glass. And sadly, I
- 14:58Speaker 1: could not keep the glass. But it was.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Served in a tiki glass. You just probably asked for
- 15:05Speaker 2: it rather.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Than just shaking it up. I could have, but I
- 15:07Speaker 1: just didn't. I didn't have the... I just couldn't do it.
- 15:12Speaker 1: But it was like, this is not right. And I
- 15:15Speaker 1: think what they did instead of infusing the simple syrup
- 15:18Speaker 1: with cinnamon stick, they added just grated cinnamon to the
- 15:24Speaker 1: simple syrup and not enough grapefruit juice. I think they
- 15:31Speaker 1: used like grapefruit and orange juice instead. And I was like,
- 15:35Speaker 1: this is, this isn't, it didn't taste right. It just didn't.
- 15:38Speaker 4: So.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Wait, MD's failing us.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:45Speaker 2: He does not have the grapefruit juice.
- 15:48Speaker 1: How do you not have gold rum? I, I, I, wow. I'm,
- 15:51Speaker 1: I'm shocked. I mean, I understand the grapefruit juice. I, I.
- 15:54Speaker 5: Have, I have ran out on Monday.
- 15:56Speaker 4: I have seen the pictures of that bar, sir. And
- 16:00Speaker 4: this disappoints me greatly.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yes, I'm shocked.
- 16:05Speaker 5: Look, I'm going to stand up for MD here.
- 16:09Speaker 3: It is Wednesday.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Of course you are.
- 16:11Speaker 5: He hasn't refilled this bar yet. He now drinks through
- 16:19Speaker 5: Monday because, you know, drunk politics got to be part
- 16:22Speaker 5: of the crew. Yeah.
- 16:25Speaker 1: All right. Well, I will be prepared. I will be
- 16:27Speaker 1: prepared because MD is planning on coming for a visit.
- 16:31Speaker 1: next year to Casa de Aggie. And I do have
- 16:34Speaker 1: Velvet Falernum already. So I'll be prepared.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Speaking of, for those of you who.
- 16:43Speaker 1: I have like six different types of gold rum too,
- 16:45Speaker 1: so yeah.
- 16:46Speaker 2: For those of you who have been following Vincent and I,
- 16:48Speaker 2: it is almost time to start making your clarified milk punch.
- 16:54Speaker 2: To start the process.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's not happening.
- 16:59Speaker 4: No.
- 17:01Speaker 2: You're not doing it, Aggie?
- 17:03Speaker 1: Well, here's the thing. I have to make coquito. My
- 17:07Speaker 1: mom is coming to stay with me again, so I'm just,
- 17:10Speaker 1: I'm stuck. I'm making coquito for like 24 different families,
- 17:15Speaker 1: it seems like.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Okay, but I mean, you can shove this in the
- 17:19Speaker 2: back for yourself.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I guess you're right.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Oh, by the way, real quick, while we're talking about tiki's,
- 17:25Speaker 2: I'm drinking my rum out of your tiki shot glass.
- 17:33Speaker 1: It is adorable, isn't it?
- 17:35Speaker 2: It is. It actually is.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Okay.
- 17:40Speaker 2: But yes, if you need to, if you're curious about
- 17:42Speaker 2: the clarified milk punch, I'll be posting the recipe. It's, uh,
- 17:46Speaker 2: Alton Brown's recipe. I'll be posting it again here in
- 17:48Speaker 2: a couple of days. Cause it is time to start
- 17:49Speaker 2: getting ready for it.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Is it really?
- 17:55Speaker 1: Is it?
- 17:55Speaker 4: It is.
- 17:56Speaker 2: It is because in order to have it ready by
- 17:58Speaker 2: the holiday season, it does take several weeks. It's not
- 18:02Speaker 2: just a whip it up and shoot it down the thing.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I mean, it calls.
- 18:10Speaker 2: For Navy rum for fuck's sake.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 18:18Speaker 2: He's like, I'm in now.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Okay. You had me at rum.
- 18:23Speaker 5: So who was cheering for the libertarian?
- 18:30Speaker 2: What's that?
- 18:31Speaker 3: Who was rooting for the Libertarian?
- 18:34Speaker 2: Oh, dude, that was insane. It's like McAfee Light. That
- 18:39Speaker 2: was fantastic. Did you all see it? Rick, did you
- 18:42Speaker 2: see it?
- 18:43Speaker 4: I did not, so please feel free to fill us in.
- 18:47Speaker 2: The Libertarian candidate.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Oh, the one that was like.
- 18:49Speaker 4: Oh, wait, the one that was like in a high speed. Well,
- 18:52Speaker 4: the one that was in a chase. I saw a
- 18:54Speaker 4: bit of it, but I never.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Yeah, a rolling shootout with cops and a chase, and
- 18:58Speaker 2: he was live tweeting the whole thing.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I'm like, it couldn't have been much of a chase
- 19:04Speaker 1: if you had time to like live tweet.
- 19:07Speaker 4: Was Tesla doing the driving for him while he was tweeting?
- 19:10Speaker 4: Because I'm just curious.
- 19:12Speaker 3: I made a mistake. I answered the phone. What?
- 19:21Speaker 4: But yeah, I take it back. I guess I did
- 19:23Speaker 4: see a little bit of that. I never saw any
- 19:24Speaker 4: of the footage to see if it was like OJ style,
- 19:27Speaker 4: like low speed chase or anything, but.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Oh, I haven't seen any footage of it. I just
- 19:31Speaker 2: was reading his live tweets. I happen to be off
- 19:33Speaker 2: all I was like, oh, this is fantastic.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I was I was reading. I'm never quitting this site.
- 19:40Speaker 5: I thought it was satire at first.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I did, too. And then, you know, it was like, no, wait,
- 19:47Speaker 2: this shit's real. God, that was fantastic. You know, the
- 19:54Speaker 2: world still hasn't gotten weird enough for me.
- 19:57Speaker 5: That in between Julius voting everywhere, that was awesome.
- 20:04Speaker 3: So.
- 20:06Speaker 4: What about?
- 20:08Speaker 5: I think her name was Julie that was voting everywhere.
- 20:13Speaker 5: She voted in South Carolina, Illinois.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Well, now.
- 20:20Speaker 3: She was trolling. It was on Twitchy.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Nice.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Oh, wow. Yeah. Her. Yes, now it's coming back to me. Sorry,
- 20:37Speaker 1: my whole head is in a stupor. I spent today
- 20:39Speaker 1: doing all sorts of chores in the house, and I
- 20:41Speaker 1: think it's Clorox fumes that is, yeah, that's about it.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Nothing than that.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Today is the model airplane glue.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. So what happened was she knew she was
- 20:55Speaker 4: going to be putting up with us tonight, so she
- 20:56Speaker 4: started the brain bleach early.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what it was. You know, if you put
- 21:02Speaker 3: that in the bag, it works quicker.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I still remember we were picking up trash in our
- 21:12Speaker 1: school for national honor society. You know, we have to
- 21:15Speaker 1: do some community service and whatnot, and we were picking
- 21:17Speaker 1: up trash in the local schools and everything. And I
- 21:20Speaker 1: found Ziploc bags that were painted on the inside. And I,
- 21:28Speaker 1: for the life of me, I didn't understand that. I
- 21:30Speaker 1: didn't understand what's going on. I picked them up and
- 21:33Speaker 1: I put them in the trash and whatever. And, We're
- 21:36Speaker 1: collecting the trash, tying up everything, getting rid of our gloves,
- 21:39Speaker 1: getting rid of our sticks, whatever. And our sponsor asked
- 21:45Speaker 1: us if we found anything interesting. I said, I just
- 21:48Speaker 1: found a bunch of Ziploc plastic bags with paint inside them.
- 21:52Speaker 1: I don't understand that at all. And the look on
- 21:55Speaker 1: her face, she was like, where did you find them?
- 21:59Speaker 1: And so I was like, okay. And I took her
- 22:02Speaker 1: to where it was. And next thing I know, It's
- 22:06Speaker 1: Monday because this happened on Saturday. Monday, I am called
- 22:09Speaker 1: to the principal's office to give detailed account of how many,
- 22:15Speaker 1: if I could recollect how many bags, what, if they
- 22:19Speaker 1: were all the same color paint. And weirdly, most of
- 22:22Speaker 1: them were. And where I found them and if I
- 22:28Speaker 1: had found any other kind of trash in the same area.
- 22:31Speaker 1: And I said, no, just the bags. Turns out, you know,
- 22:34Speaker 1: they were huffing paint. So they set up a sting
- 22:39Speaker 1: and they caught the students that were doing it. All
- 22:42Speaker 1: because I was picking up trash and I had no
- 22:45Speaker 1: idea what I had picked up. I learned something new
- 22:47Speaker 1: that day. I was a senior and I had no idea.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I swear to God, I need to be more. I
- 23:01Speaker 1: don't know.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Well, obviously we didn't go to the same high school.
- 23:18Speaker 2: I was trying to, I think we used to put
- 23:22Speaker 2: paint in like little, uh, sandwich bags and use them
- 23:27Speaker 2: as grenades when we were playing war. Yeah.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Well, I, what I didn't know was they were using
- 23:34Speaker 1: spray spray paint. So there was sprayed in there.
- 23:38Speaker 2: They were huffing it.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Yes.
- 23:41Speaker 1: So that's why the bag was painted on the inside,
- 23:45Speaker 1: but there wasn't a lot of paint like you would
- 23:47Speaker 1: find in a paint, you know, grenade. Got to be tripping.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Got to be tripping.
- 24:00Speaker 2: That's just a level of desperation for a high I
- 24:03Speaker 2: never reached. I mean, there's whipped cream cans you can
- 24:08Speaker 2: get the nitrous out of, and that's wonderful. At least
- 24:10Speaker 2: you could at the time.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Yeah, they probably don't use nitrous anymore.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Am I the only one that, when.
- 24:19Speaker 5: Tim Post started, first thing I thought of was there
- 24:23Speaker 5: were a bunch of people sitting around huffing glue?
- 24:31Speaker 3: Just me? Okay.
- 24:34Speaker 2: I picked the wrong week for it. To quit it,
- 24:37Speaker 2: I mean.
- 24:39Speaker 4: I was so looking for that clip and realized I
- 24:41Speaker 4: don't have it loaded anymore and I was sad.
- 24:45Speaker 3: I'm not a quitter.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Sad Rick noises.
- 24:49Speaker 3: I saw an article that was interesting.
- 24:52Speaker 4: What's that?
- 24:54Speaker 3: Smoking's making a comeback.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Surprising no one.
- 25:01Speaker 3: It's all because it's cool.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Look how they're holding a cigarette. It's the gayest thing ever.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it is.
- 25:10Speaker 5: I do have a theory.
- 25:14Speaker 2: There's a way to hold a cigarette like a man,
- 25:16Speaker 2: and that ain't it.
- 25:17Speaker 4: I mean, there's a reason they call it smoke, a
- 25:19Speaker 4: fag in Britain.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Now, I have a theory, and it may be a
- 25:27Speaker 1: little weak, but you've seen the trends where people are
- 25:33Speaker 1: discovering older TV shows, older movies, things of that nature.
- 25:37Speaker 1: where this particular generation, you know, Gen Z, Gen Alpha,
- 25:43Speaker 1: are discovering these things, you know, how they discover, oh,
- 25:46Speaker 1: you know, going outside without any technology to take a walk,
- 25:49Speaker 1: or saltine and cracker and butter, you know, makes for
- 25:53Speaker 1: a great snack. And I'm going, this was shit I
- 25:56Speaker 1: was growing up on in the 70s, okay? So, maybe
- 26:00Speaker 1: they're seeing all of these, because, you know, with the
- 26:03Speaker 1: advent of streaming services like METV and FETV and all
- 26:09Speaker 1: sorts of other old TV shows where smoking was okay
- 26:13Speaker 1: to do. And now I think that they're starting to see.
- 26:16Speaker 2: There were ads by doctors.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Yeah, and you see the doctors were smoking. I mean,
- 26:22Speaker 1: Twilight Zone, you see Rod Serling looking fabulous holding a cigarette.
- 26:27Speaker 1: You know?
- 26:29Speaker 4: Dude, on Battlestar Galactica, the doctor was smoking like five
- 26:32Speaker 4: seconds before he started doing surgery.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:35Speaker 1: That's true.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:37Speaker 4: I was like, holy shit.
- 26:39Speaker 3: We lost so much.
- 26:41Speaker 1: So I do think that people are, you know, a
- 26:44Speaker 1: lot of the kids are starting to see the romance.
- 26:48Speaker 1: And I don't mean that in the, you know, levy-devy sense,
- 26:51Speaker 1: but the romance of what used to be back then.
- 26:54Speaker 1: you know, several decades ago and what they, they've been told, Oh,
- 26:58Speaker 1: this is bad for you. So you, and they're like, well, I,
- 27:01Speaker 1: I want to know if it's bad for me. I
- 27:02Speaker 1: want to have the freedom to determine whether or not
- 27:04Speaker 1: it's bad, bad for me. They see that the holding
- 27:07Speaker 1: a vape thing is not as stylish as holding a cigarette.
- 27:14Speaker 4: It's just. Vaping is faking gay. Let's just say that.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:20Speaker 2: That's a douche flute, but, uh, One of my fetishes
- 27:26Speaker 2: is actually watching a woman smoke. That's just erotic as fuck.
- 27:32Speaker 1: I use candy cigarettes.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Ladies, take notes. Okay.
- 27:39Speaker 3: That works. Whatever.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Get the gum with the confectioner's sugar in it. That's fine, too.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Yeah, those candy cigarettes were like crack man.
- 27:52Speaker 2: I especially the mint ones the ones that was just
- 27:55Speaker 2: like a really big yeah oh those.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Are so good you can still find them i was surprised.
- 28:02Speaker 4: Yeah but now they just call them candy sticks.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Yeah yeah you can find them on amazon that's where
- 28:07Speaker 1: i got i got a whole pack of 24 for
- 28:10Speaker 1: um uh for a uh a friend's party because it
- 28:15Speaker 1: was a 1980s theme um this is about 10 years
- 28:20Speaker 1: ago And so those were the party favors. I put
- 28:24Speaker 1: them on all the, and people thought that was great.
- 28:26Speaker 1: And everybody ate them right there. I'd say, we're sitting down.
- 28:29Speaker 1: They're just one after the other. You don't forget your
- 28:33Speaker 1: first crack.
- 28:37Speaker 2: No, you don't. Anyway, good. Smoking's coming back.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I do think that that has something to do
- 28:47Speaker 1: with it.
- 28:49Speaker 5: I think Aggie's got a perfect idea now for an OnlyFans.
- 28:52Speaker 5: Just a headshot of her smoking.
- 28:55Speaker 2: There you go.
- 28:57Speaker 1: No.
- 28:58Speaker 2: OnlyFans, but it's Aggie just smoking candy cigarettes.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Where do I sign?
- 29:05Speaker 1: OnlyCandies.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Oh, that's a totally different site.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Oh, God. I don't want to know.
- 29:12Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 29:15Speaker 2: I just made that up.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Rule 34.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Rule 34.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Of course.
- 29:18Speaker 3: It's out there. You know it is.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Oh, definitely. It has to be.
- 29:26Speaker 2: So what else we got?
- 29:27Speaker 7: I don't.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Know.
- 29:29Speaker 4: What else do we have? It's been a minute.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Sorry. What did you get to cover last night that
- 29:34Speaker 2: you wanted to?
- 29:36Speaker 3: What?
- 29:36Speaker 1: Didn't I cover last night that I wanted to? Oh, hell.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Do I have my notes here oh oh oh I
- 29:44Speaker 1: did want to cover the Virginia man who taped his
- 29:47Speaker 1: wife to the chair in the basement so that he
- 29:51Speaker 1: could watch the football game in peace.
- 29:55Speaker 4: Did y'all see that story I don't see an issue
- 29:59Speaker 4: with this.
- 30:00Speaker 1: The weirdest part was that I'm reading all of the
- 30:03Speaker 1: comments underneath and I'm going, nobody is blaming this guy.
- 30:08Speaker 3: No one.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Not even women. Yeah, she probably deserved it. She was
- 30:13Speaker 1: probably nagging him. Blah, blah, blah, and all this stuff.
- 30:15Speaker 1: And I'm going, wow, nobody. But I thought, that guy
- 30:22Speaker 1: must have really, he must have snapped. Because, and I'm
- 30:29Speaker 1: Trying to figure out how it was that he got
- 30:32Speaker 1: her in the chair in the first place.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Probably, hey, baby, I want to do something kinky. If
- 30:37Speaker 2: you're not going to let me watch the game, let's
- 30:38Speaker 2: have some fun. I'm going to tie you down to
- 30:40Speaker 2: this chair.
- 30:42Speaker 5: I think the best comment was, what game was he watching?
- 30:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 1: I don't remember them saying.
- 30:52Speaker 5: Which game it was.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Sounds like a New England fan.
- 30:58Speaker 3: They never said so.
- 31:01Speaker 2: And if any of y'all are out there or New
- 31:03Speaker 2: England fans, I said what I said. I said what
- 31:07Speaker 2: I said.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought that was, you know, I didn't fault him, honestly.
- 31:16Speaker 1: And I'm kind of hoping that he gets off with
- 31:18Speaker 1: like a slap on the wrist and that's it, which
- 31:21Speaker 1: is going to make her mad. And she'll probably assault him.
- 31:25Speaker 1: And then I'm hoping they throw the book at her.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I'm really not very sympathetic to women today. Not sorry.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it's well, I mean, they did it to themselves.
- 31:38Speaker 4: So so this is my thing, right? Everybody's talking about
- 31:41Speaker 4: this because dude finally snapped and taped his wife to
- 31:44Speaker 4: a chair so he could watch a game. But you
- 31:46Speaker 4: know what had to have happened to get him to
- 31:48Speaker 4: this point? This means she has probably talked and chided
- 31:53Speaker 4: and just done whatever she could. Anytime there was something
- 31:57Speaker 4: on that he wanted to watch. But I guarantee you,
- 31:59Speaker 4: anytime she was ever trying to watch anything, if even
- 32:01Speaker 4: so much as tried to open his mouth, it was
- 32:03Speaker 4: my shoes on. So, yeah, you found the stories are on. Yeah, exactly.
- 32:10Speaker 4: But yeah, so I have a feeling that's probably the
- 32:12Speaker 4: reason why, especially most of the men are like cheering
- 32:14Speaker 4: him on because we're like, we get it.
- 32:18Speaker 1: No, like I said, I absolutely have no sympathy for
- 32:21Speaker 1: her at this point. I really don't. She must have
- 32:24Speaker 1: pushed really, really hard to get him to that point.
- 32:28Speaker 1: And it kind of reminded me of Perry Mason episode
- 32:31Speaker 1: where the bad guy was like, yeah, I did. I
- 32:35Speaker 1: just wanted to steal the money because I've been married
- 32:38Speaker 1: to this bitch for 16 years that she nagged me
- 32:42Speaker 1: every single day and I just wanted peace. Literally, when
- 32:45Speaker 1: I heard him say why he killed the guy, I
- 32:47Speaker 1: was like, this is justifiable. And I think that Perry
- 32:55Speaker 1: would have turned around and said, you know what, I'll
- 32:56Speaker 1: defend them for free. But she was.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Every night. Where is the pretzel money? When are you
- 33:03Speaker 2: going to get the pretzel money? And so on and
- 33:09Speaker 2: so on. 42 minutes, First Simpsons reference.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Congratulations.
- 33:15Speaker 7: Nice.
- 33:16Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 33:18Speaker 5: Well, We all know that Chekhov passed away.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Yeah, that was really sad.
- 33:25Speaker 4: Yes, we do.
- 33:25Speaker 5: I just had a headline come through. Barbara Berry?
- 33:31Speaker 1: Barbara Berry passed away?
- 33:32Speaker 4: Technically, she did medically assisted suicide.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Wow.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, that's... Wow.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Yeah, she was 95... Had a terminal cancer diagnosis, was
- 33:51Speaker 4: diagnosed with something else in 2014, so she's been having
- 33:53Speaker 4: a lot of health issues, so she decided just to
- 33:55Speaker 4: take herself out today.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Fuck, she was in everything.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Oh, I did hear that Dolores Huerta passed away, too.
- 34:04Speaker 1: And if y'all recall, she was the one that was
- 34:06Speaker 1: with Cesar Chavez and co-founded United Farm Workers Union.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Oh, the one who finally came out and said what
- 34:14Speaker 2: kind of a piece of shit he was?
- 34:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Just a couple of years ago when she could
- 34:17Speaker 1: no longer ride the gravy train, apparently she decides to
- 34:20Speaker 1: do this. And then, but you know, that's all suspect
- 34:24Speaker 1: because you have the, her daughters saying, yeah, she knew
- 34:29Speaker 1: about it the whole time and, and stayed because of money.
- 34:34Speaker 1: And I'm like, Whoa, it's like, okay. So basically you
- 34:38Speaker 1: put your children in that position as well because of
- 34:42Speaker 1: the money. I was, I, you know, So she passed away, too. Yeah,
- 34:50Speaker 1: I'll say it. No loss. No loss. She was not
- 34:55Speaker 1: a kind person.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Communists aren't people.
- 34:57Speaker 7: No loss.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Yeah. But that is hard about Barbara Barry, what she
- 35:05Speaker 1: must have suffered. Now, I found it interesting. I don't
- 35:07Speaker 1: know if you all saw the tributes that both William
- 35:11Speaker 1: Shatner and George Takei did for Chekhov. And they were
- 35:17Speaker 1: rather illuminating. You had William Shatner talk about that. He
- 35:21Speaker 1: didn't know Walter Koenig very well, but he got to
- 35:27Speaker 1: know him as, you know, with the movies and everything,
- 35:30Speaker 1: they got to know each other better and everything. And
- 35:33Speaker 1: that it was a true loss for, you know, the
- 35:35Speaker 1: community and how wonderful he had been to his fans
- 35:38Speaker 1: and all this stuff. And he just talked about Chekhov
- 35:41Speaker 1: completely talking about, Walter Koenig and his contributions to, you know,
- 35:47Speaker 1: the sci-fi genre. Meanwhile, you have Takei talking about, he
- 35:53Speaker 1: stood up for me as our best man when we
- 35:56Speaker 1: got married and we share our anniversary with his birthday.
- 36:00Speaker 1: And he was so kind about, you know, my, you know,
- 36:04Speaker 1: my coming out or whatever. And it was all me, me, me, my, my, my.
- 36:08Speaker 2: And I was like, yeah, he found a way to
- 36:09Speaker 2: make it about him.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not about you. It's about Walter. And this
- 36:15Speaker 1: is a man, I don't know if y'all are aware,
- 36:17Speaker 1: but Walter actually lost his son to suicide. And that
- 36:22Speaker 1: has always been something that really hurt him. And he
- 36:27Speaker 1: carried that for many, many years. And y'all are familiar
- 36:30Speaker 1: with his son. If anybody ever watched Growing Pains, he
- 36:34Speaker 1: played Kirk Cameron's best friend, Boner. That was his son.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Oh, no shit.
- 36:38Speaker 3: OK.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Yeah. And they never disclosed why he ended his life
- 36:46Speaker 1: or anything like that. They kept it very private. But
- 36:49Speaker 1: he always carried that with him because it was it
- 36:51Speaker 1: was very, very tragic. But I'm just like, why would
- 36:57Speaker 1: you make it about yourself? This is not about you.
- 37:00Speaker 1: You can just say what a wonderful tribute it was
- 37:03Speaker 1: because he was so close to you. You were very
- 37:06Speaker 1: good friends with him and you feel for his family.
- 37:09Speaker 1: You feel for the loss. You could have just stopped there,
- 37:11Speaker 1: but no, he had to talk about his wedding and
- 37:13Speaker 1: he had to talk about Chekhov being his best man
- 37:17Speaker 1: and this and that. It was all about Takei.
- 37:21Speaker 2: One thing about Connie, everybody knows him as Chekhov, but
- 37:29Speaker 2: bester is probably one of my most favorite characters to
- 37:33Speaker 2: hate yes battle on five.
- 37:35Speaker 4: Yes believe it or not bester was actually his favorite
- 37:38Speaker 4: character he said so yeah.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Yeah he loved being that guy.
- 37:43Speaker 2: And you know it's just like all the work that
- 37:45Speaker 2: he put into that character too like the clenched fist
- 37:48Speaker 2: thing that wasn't the jms that was keening you know
- 37:51Speaker 2: and that was just yeah just god he was such
- 37:54Speaker 2: a fantastic bastard in that show.
- 37:58Speaker 1: He really was. And everybody expected him to be kind
- 38:01Speaker 1: of like more Chekhov. And he said, no, this is
- 38:04Speaker 1: like freedom. This is a brand new character. I am
- 38:07Speaker 1: molding this to what I want him to be. Chekhov
- 38:10Speaker 1: doesn't even check in. Chekhov is checked out. Bingo.
- 38:18Speaker 5: He also had problems with being stereotyped from Star Trek.
- 38:23Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, that's true. He was complaining about So speaking
- 38:28Speaker 4: of Bester, this is third-hand information, but I heard it
- 38:32Speaker 4: from a friend who actually saw him once at a convention,
- 38:35Speaker 4: and they asked him, how in the world, after being
- 38:41Speaker 4: the sweetheart that everybody kind of thought Chekhov was, how
- 38:43Speaker 4: could he manage to do a role like Bester so well?
- 38:47Speaker 4: He said, I looked at the way everybody talked about
- 38:49Speaker 4: William Shatner, and I decided that was going to be Bester.
- 38:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:58Speaker 1: That's epic yeah.
- 39:02Speaker 4: That's fucking fun but yeah it's kind of interesting to
- 39:06Speaker 4: hear that it was Takei that made it all about
- 39:08Speaker 4: him because you know that's always been Shatner's shtick even
- 39:11Speaker 4: his female co-star in Star Trek 4 was like every
- 39:15Speaker 4: time I was on camera the bastard wanted to be
- 39:17Speaker 4: in my shot so yeah I don't know it is
- 39:24Speaker 4: kind of Weird that those two are the last ones left,
- 39:27Speaker 4: and I have a feeling that Takei's heat heart will
- 39:30Speaker 4: keep him here past Shatner, and that makes me a
- 39:32Speaker 4: little sad.
- 39:34Speaker 1: I don't know, man.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Well, that's because the good die young and pricks live forever.
- 39:39Speaker 1: I was going to say, it's like, I don't know.
- 39:42Speaker 3: Excuse me, I'm still in this convo.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I'm pretty sure that when this conversation's over,
- 39:52Speaker 4: you're going to get a funky, when this show's over,
- 39:54Speaker 4: you're going to get a funky tingle and have to
- 39:55Speaker 4: go sword fight with somebody anyway, because everybody knows you've
- 39:57Speaker 4: been here forever. Nobody got it.
- 40:07Speaker 2: I got it. I had Queen blaring in the back
- 40:13Speaker 2: of my head as you were saying it.
- 40:17Speaker 4: This is why Rick doesn't do deep pulls because nobody
- 40:19Speaker 4: responds when I do them.
- 40:22Speaker 2: I actually think that Shatner and Takai need to get
- 40:24Speaker 2: into a cage match and fight each other to death
- 40:27Speaker 2: for the soul of America.
- 40:28Speaker 1: I'd be okay with that.
- 40:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:32Speaker 2: I think Shatner can take him.
- 40:38Speaker 5: I haven't seen the cage, but I saw Shatner on
- 40:42Speaker 5: one of the Property Brothers episodes.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Yes. Yeah.
- 40:46Speaker 3: And he's.
- 40:49Speaker 5: Not spry, but he's not decrepit either.
- 40:52Speaker 1: No, he's not.
- 40:55Speaker 2: He went to space.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Dude, he looks better than Patrick Stewart's younger than he is.
- 41:01Speaker 4: I'm telling you. Somebody found Stewart's photo painting in his
- 41:06Speaker 4: attic or something. The dude went from.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Looking the same to holy shit. There's a painting of.
- 41:15Speaker 2: There's a painting of him in an attic of a
- 41:18Speaker 2: stylish 2-4 house in Sedona. I'm convinced of that.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Is that the one where he has hair? Yeah, but.
- 41:31Speaker 2: No, he never had hair. Go watch Excalibur.
- 41:34Speaker 3: He never had fucking hair.
- 41:36Speaker 7: I know.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. He never had hair.
- 41:39Speaker 4: Well, here's the thing. Here's what a lot of people
- 41:41Speaker 4: don't know. He started losing his hair so young... That
- 41:45Speaker 4: even in the scenes where in the older movies where
- 41:47Speaker 4: you see him with hair, it was a hairpiece.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Because he didn't have.
- 41:54Speaker 3: Hair.
- 41:54Speaker 4: Because that was one of.
- 41:55Speaker 1: The funny that do you remember the mockups for prior
- 41:59Speaker 1: to filming? Star Trek Next Generation, but they had him
- 42:03Speaker 1: with a hairpiece. Oh, yeah.
- 42:06Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. So the funny thing about that was is
- 42:09Speaker 4: I've heard from some of the producers involved that that
- 42:12Speaker 4: was Roddenberry who was throwing a fit about, you know,
- 42:14Speaker 4: the captain of the Enterprise can't be bald. Turns out
- 42:18Speaker 4: it wasn't him. It was his attorney who, after Gene
- 42:22Speaker 4: got sick, started sending over a bunch of notes and
- 42:24Speaker 4: everything and putting his name on them. But yeah, that
- 42:27Speaker 4: guy was the one throwing a fit about, you know,
- 42:29Speaker 4: and it was one of the producers started parroting what
- 42:33Speaker 4: the attorney had told Roddenberry in a closed door meeting
- 42:37Speaker 4: about how, you know, the captain of the Enterprise shouldn't
- 42:39Speaker 4: have hair. And eventually Gene just looked at the producer
- 42:41Speaker 4: and said, look, it's the 24th century. Nobody gives a
- 42:43Speaker 4: shit about hair anymore.
- 42:46Speaker 2: And yet somehow in the 27th century they care about it.
- 42:49Speaker 4: Never mind. Well, that's because everything went backwards. Yeah.
- 42:55Speaker 5: Surprising no one okay since already brought it up can
- 42:59Speaker 5: we all take a moment and do a shot for
- 43:02Speaker 5: jeff because we know he's not going to survive season three.
- 43:06Speaker 4: Of oh no he's not an hour no he's not
- 43:11Speaker 4: especially with what i just read today because holy shit.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Yeah pouring one pouring one out for jeff.
- 43:17Speaker 4: Pre-postumous pour out in three holy crap yeah so apparently
- 43:22Speaker 4: if you've ever had any desire to watch this show
- 43:26Speaker 4: they just killed it because apparently they're trying to develop
- 43:30Speaker 4: an orc with an arc in their own.
- 43:32Speaker 5: Words my only my only urge is for them to
- 43:36Speaker 5: continue this just so I can listen to Jeff.
- 43:41Speaker 1: He's so evil.
- 43:43Speaker 4: He should really now that we can do video I
- 43:46Speaker 4: mean I know he can't we'd get in trouble He
- 43:48Speaker 4: should really have it on the screen and be doing
- 43:50Speaker 4: these live so we can watch him stroke out as
- 43:52Speaker 4: shit was happening. That would be awesome.
- 43:54Speaker 5: While the episode's going.
- 43:58Speaker 3: He could do react videos.
- 44:09Speaker 4: Fun times. I don't know how Jeff does some of
- 44:13Speaker 4: the content that he does because I get twitchy enough
- 44:15Speaker 4: covering politics all the time, but first time I turned
- 44:20Speaker 4: on his rings of power stuff I thought he was
- 44:24Speaker 4: going to have a stroke.
- 44:26Speaker 1: I thought so too I remember when he was doing
- 44:29Speaker 1: I think he was on the second episode of the
- 44:32Speaker 1: first season and he said I'm not even halfway through
- 44:35Speaker 1: and I already have 34 pages of notes I'm.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Like what.
- 44:42Speaker 1: I was stunned I was like damn this must be
- 44:45Speaker 1: a really shitty show He was like, yeah.
- 44:49Speaker 2: I wonder if he's glutton for punishment enough to do
- 44:51Speaker 2: the review of the Colbert movies that, you know, the
- 44:56Speaker 2: Gollum fucking whatever thing that he's doing.
- 45:01Speaker 4: We can ask him. What's the worst he can say?
- 45:03Speaker 1: No.
- 45:05Speaker 5: I'm really, I'm trying to figure out how they're going
- 45:08Speaker 5: to do Gollum after the rings or is this before
- 45:14Speaker 5: the rings?
- 45:14Speaker 1: Yes.
- 45:16Speaker 3: Oh, it's before.
- 45:17Speaker 6: Right?
- 45:18Speaker 5: And then how is Bilbo and Frodo involved with it?
- 45:22Speaker 5: Because they didn't know. Well, Bilbo did, but Frodo didn't.
- 45:25Speaker 1: They're not.
- 45:25Speaker 2: It's probably just, you know, origin story or some shit.
- 45:33Speaker 3: Okay.
- 45:33Speaker 2: I mean, Jeff, yes, but I mean, you have a point. Oh,
- 45:40Speaker 2: that got canceled? Thanks, Delaney.
- 45:42Speaker 3: Good news.
- 45:44Speaker 4: Yay! drink that was so I know we don't talk
- 45:50Speaker 4: about this much on this program and I know Janelle's
- 45:53Speaker 4: about to be like oh shit he's about to start
- 45:54Speaker 4: talking about a new track but one of the weirdest
- 45:57Speaker 4: takeaways for me for Academy was the voiceovers every episode
- 46:03Speaker 4: at the end and it was fucking Stephen Colbert I'm
- 46:06Speaker 4: like what is the point of that I mean makes
- 46:11Speaker 4: about as much sense as Stacey Abrams being the president.
- 46:14Speaker 2: Of Earth that was the weirdest thing.
- 46:17Speaker 4: No, the most annoying thing, not necessarily the weirdest. The
- 46:22Speaker 4: gay Klingon. I mean, the gay Klingon was a little
- 46:27Speaker 4: weird for me because I'm like, dude, they would have
- 46:29Speaker 4: just murdered him.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Gay, half Klingon, half Jem'Hadar. Oh, no, that was the
- 46:35Speaker 2: other one. Apparently they don't have a Zempek or glasses
- 46:41Speaker 2: in the future.
- 46:42Speaker 4: Well, my thing with the Jim Hadar is, you know,
- 46:45Speaker 4: we're talking 900 years in the future. And in the
- 46:46Speaker 4: words of Jeff Goldblum, nature always finds a way. So
- 46:49Speaker 4: that one that one didn't bother me as much because
- 46:54Speaker 4: I was like, you know, somebody somebody if given the opportunity,
- 46:57Speaker 4: we'll put together a backstory for that at some point.
- 46:59Speaker 2: Everything about that show made me want to punch a kitten.
- 47:03Speaker 3: Damn.
- 47:03Speaker 4: OK, so I only have one question. What about pretty
- 47:06Speaker 4: much everything doesn't make you want to punch a kitten, though?
- 47:12Speaker 4: Because that's your go-to line for almost everything. This makes
- 47:14Speaker 4: me want to punch a kitten.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:18Speaker 4: So apparently you want a kitten for punching kittens.
- 47:21Speaker 2: No, I love kittens. That's the thing. That shows you
- 47:23Speaker 2: how irrationally angry it makes me. Not a cat guy,
- 47:28Speaker 2: but kittens are fucking adorable. Are you kidding me?
- 47:32Speaker 4: You're a loser, Corin.
- 47:35Speaker 5: How come on Academy they didn't have anything in the
- 47:38Speaker 5: history of growing tomatoes?
- 47:42Speaker 1: Thank God Janelle's not here.
- 47:45Speaker 3: She is.
- 47:45Speaker 4: She's coming right now. There is no Starfleet Academy except
- 47:53Speaker 4: for the 1997 game with the loser corn. That's why
- 47:56Speaker 4: I said you're a loser corn.
- 48:00Speaker 2: The gem Shadar. I like that MD.
- 48:02Speaker 1: I was looking at the wrong chat. Sorry, Janelle. And
- 48:08Speaker 1: I'm sorry that they're bringing this up again.
- 48:14Speaker 3: And no, Eddington doesn't have hair.
- 48:24Speaker 4: I mean, Eddington's always been a bitch, so it's a
- 48:26Speaker 4: likely backstory.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Sorry, I was responding. I'm just glad we've been watching
- 48:35Speaker 2: the Roger Moore bonds so that way she can understand
- 48:38Speaker 2: our man Bashir better.
- 48:42Speaker 4: Did we ever confirm that that was actually the Eddington?
- 48:45Speaker 4: Just curious.
- 48:49Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 48:51Speaker 3: But, yeah.
- 48:53Speaker 7: It is.
- 48:54Speaker 3: That's hilarious. So.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Yeah, we're trying to get a hold of his people
- 49:05Speaker 2: to make him aware of Janelle's channel.
- 49:09Speaker 1: He, he, he, he, he.
- 49:11Speaker 4: That would be awesome.
- 49:14Speaker 1: What else we got? I don't know. we're about up
- 49:18Speaker 1: for the we're at the top of the.
- 49:20Speaker 4: Hour yeah I was gonna say we got just about
- 49:23Speaker 4: enough time to let everybody tell everybody where they can
- 49:25Speaker 4: find you.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Oh god who has that kind of time with me
- 49:29Speaker 2: and Aggie on the same show especially on your.
- 49:32Speaker 3: Busy week because it's simple.
- 49:36Speaker 4: You can find Andrew at work Bye, Andrew.
- 49:41Speaker 3: You nailed it. But I'm also on an accident.
- 49:44Speaker 4: How do you know, Janelle?
- 49:45Speaker 3: MM1 retired. And I'm only here for the headlights.
- 49:52Speaker 4: Wait.
- 49:53Speaker 3: Wait, what? You heard him.
- 49:58Speaker 4: He didn't stutter. All right. Aggie, where can folks find you?
- 50:08Speaker 1: You can find me at Aggie the Barkeep over on
- 50:10Speaker 1: X on Tuesday nights at 8.30 p.m. You can find
- 50:13Speaker 1: me on the Cocktail Lounge with Brad Slager. Friday nights, 8.30 p.m.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Eastern with you doing He Said, She Said. Last Wednesday
- 50:22Speaker 1: of every month, the guys get together right here at
- 50:24Speaker 1: 8 p.m. And I bring the drink of the evening
- 50:26Speaker 1: for toxic masculinity. And Jeff and I do spirited books
- 50:29Speaker 1: usually on the first Monday of every month at also 8.30 p.m.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Eastern.
- 50:35Speaker 4: Otherwise, it's Aggie time.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Aggie time.
- 50:39Speaker 3: Stop.
- 50:40Speaker 4: It's Aggie time.
- 50:42Speaker 3: Oh, wait, sorry.
- 50:43Speaker 4: Where can folks find you?
- 50:45Speaker 3: Oh, shit.
- 50:48Speaker 2: You can find me as Ordnance Packard on Twitter. You
- 50:52Speaker 2: can find me in an hour with Rick on Rick
- 50:54Speaker 2: and Order. You can find me tomorrow night with Brad
- 50:57Speaker 2: Slager on The Culture Shift as we take our deep
- 50:59Speaker 2: dive into the entertainment side or the business side of
- 51:01Speaker 2: the entertainment industry. Friday night, you can find me on
- 51:03Speaker 2: The Curse of Stephanaros. With Jeff and Vincent and Janie
- 51:08Speaker 2: Mac and the EP and Delaney, where we do our
- 51:11Speaker 2: tabletop D & D session. Saturday night, you can find
- 51:13Speaker 2: me on Juxtaposition with Rick as we take a look
- 51:16Speaker 2: at the strange and unusual. This Juxtober, we're covering UFOs. Sunday,
- 51:21Speaker 2: you can find me on the Vincent Charles Project, where
- 51:23Speaker 2: we will be doing For Your Eyes Only. And that
- 51:26Speaker 2: is Vincent and Jeff and Janelle Woz and myself. Monday,
- 51:28Speaker 2: you can find me on Drunk Politics with Foo. And
- 51:32Speaker 2: then Tuesday, maybe I'm in Explained Poorly, if reasons.
- 51:37Speaker 4: Hey, that was not my fault, Damon. I had a
- 51:39Speaker 4: re-intention of doing the show last night, and then I
- 51:41Speaker 4: had dinner and fell asleep. You're old.
- 51:44Speaker 2: I know, because I'm old, and I could have done
- 51:46Speaker 2: the same thing. It could have been me!
- 51:49Speaker 4: Well, it kind of was, because I asked super early,
- 51:51Speaker 4: and I never heard from anybody, and I'm like, I'm
- 51:53Speaker 4: going to go have dinner, and then I'll check later.
- 51:56Speaker 1: And then.
- 51:58Speaker 4: Well, yeah, but normally VC chimes in at like 30,
- 52:00Speaker 4: but yeah, apparently I finally heard from him. He's like,
- 52:02Speaker 4: I'm taking a break from everything but mine for a
- 52:04Speaker 4: little bit. And I'm like, okay, cool.
- 52:06Speaker 3: Because.
- 52:06Speaker 4: He has reason, so I'll just hope that that's fine
- 52:10Speaker 4: with me. But, yeah. But, yeah, that's why there was
- 52:14Speaker 4: no Minix Plane Portland last night, because I fell asleep.
- 52:18Speaker 3: Got it.
- 52:18Speaker 4: But I will be live here in just a second for...
- 52:24Speaker 4: I guess I'm going to do an America off the rails.
- 52:26Speaker 4: I actually planned on doing both tonight, because I thought
- 52:28Speaker 4: I was going to have to do bookends, but I
- 52:30Speaker 4: don't really have to do that now.
- 52:31Speaker 5: So, anyway.
- 52:34Speaker 6: So.
- 52:35Speaker 4: We're going to get out of here. As far as
- 52:36Speaker 4: where else you can find me, if you decide to look,
- 52:38Speaker 4: first of all, don't. It's a trap. But you can
- 52:39Speaker 4: find me on Axe at RarityX73. You can find me
- 52:45Speaker 4: as an occasional contributor at places like MisfitsPolitics.com, Twitchy.com, LobsterParty.com.
- 52:50Speaker 4: I also produce a Lobster Party podcast. And pretty much
- 52:53Speaker 4: everything else that Amish said, I'm involved in in one
- 52:57Speaker 4: way or the other, except for the Thursday show with
- 52:59Speaker 4: him and Brad, because Jeff produces that one. But hopefully
- 53:02Speaker 4: there'll be a Jen and Rick tomorrow night, because I'm
- 53:03Speaker 4: hoping Jen has her voice back. Other than that, you
- 53:06Speaker 4: guys know the rest of it. Check the schedule. If
- 53:09Speaker 4: it's on, I'm usually involved in it somehow, some way.
- 53:14Speaker 4: Even if it's just paying the bills to keep it on. Alright,
- 53:18Speaker 4: we're going to get out of here. Hope everybody enjoys
- 53:19Speaker 4: the rest of your Wednesday. I don't know why I
- 53:21Speaker 4: keep wanting to say Friday today. I guess I'm in
- 53:23Speaker 4: a hurry to get the week over because I said
- 53:25Speaker 4: Wednesday on my show earlier and then said Friday like
- 53:28Speaker 4: five seconds later and I almost didn't enjoy the rest
- 53:30Speaker 4: of your Friday just a second ago. So, Apparently I'm
- 53:34Speaker 4: getting old and then having old timers all at the
- 53:37Speaker 4: same time. Cause I don't even know what day it
- 53:38Speaker 4: is anymore.
- 53:39Speaker 3: Bye everybody.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Demo the boy.
