- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rap An iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I want to redo that intro. What just because we
- 0:12Speaker 2: took out the People's Choice Award winning and you know what,
- 0:15Speaker 2: we never lose that title. Just because years have gone
- 0:17Speaker 2: by that we didn't win doesn't mean that we are
- 0:20Speaker 2: no longer.
- 0:21Speaker 3: I think Mark may have just chosen a different.
- 0:23Speaker 4: One that's a regular intro.
- 0:25Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I'm going to take it back. You don't
- 0:29Speaker 5: have to worry.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Mark is giving me, this is giving me the energy
- 0:34Speaker 3: of like, here's the thing. Do I agree that? First
- 0:38Speaker 3: of all, hello, everybody strumming.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Dub and okay, I.
- 0:47Speaker 5: Think the thing is what's the thing?
- 0:49Speaker 4: Okay?
- 0:50Speaker 3: You know when someone goes on a show and it
- 0:52Speaker 3: was like, not they're not a scripted show, not like
- 0:55Speaker 3: a friends, but like a reality show, for instance, me
- 0:57Speaker 3: going on the Bachelor.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, and then all I have to.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Show for my whole life is my time on the Bachelor,
- 1:04Speaker 3: which I give nods to my Bachelor time all the
- 1:07Speaker 3: time because I'm it's it's the reason why I'm sitting
- 1:09Speaker 3: here with you lovely people doing this podcast. However, if
- 1:14Speaker 3: I never have anything beyond that, and I only hold
- 1:17Speaker 3: on to that and it's like my one thing that
- 1:19Speaker 3: I need as an intro for every day.
- 1:23Speaker 2: But let me play Devil's Attorney here because it's also
- 1:26Speaker 2: on the flip side. If if you're like one of
- 1:29Speaker 2: those people who are famous for the Bachelor, and then
- 1:31Speaker 2: you go on a talk show and you say, please
- 1:33Speaker 2: don't ask me any questions about being on the Bachelor.
- 1:36Speaker 5: I hate when people do that.
- 1:37Speaker 3: That's not the same thing I think we I think
- 1:39Speaker 3: every single episode of our podcast two times a week
- 1:44Speaker 3: hearing two times award winning podcast.
- 1:49Speaker 6: Subscribe, what do you think?
- 1:50Speaker 5: Do you want our title or would you like?
- 1:53Speaker 3: No, we're not stripped of our title just because it's
- 1:56Speaker 3: not in our intro.
- 1:56Speaker 6: We're always People's Choice Award winners.
- 1:58Speaker 3: It's sitting on my shelf for ever, like it's in
- 2:01Speaker 3: my heart forever. But I think our goal should be
- 2:04Speaker 3: for the next to win, to win a fresh one.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Yes, but I think it shouldn't be a People's Choice award.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I think we should aim bigger, like what an Emmy?
- 2:18Speaker 2: Can we even be eligible for that?
- 2:22Speaker 3: In the award winning podcast?
- 2:24Speaker 4: That be something we're starting over.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Here we go scrubbing in with Tilly and Tanya rad
- 2:29Speaker 1: and iHeartRadio and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 2:35Speaker 2: She even sounds more exciting, so much better.
- 2:42Speaker 3: I didn't know the tone was so different.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like, here's a podcast, man, podcast.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Here we go. It sounds better.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I said so.
- 2:56Speaker 3: And and we aim to continue to strive for Emmy's
- 3:00Speaker 3: and Grammy's and uh oscar.
- 3:03Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 3:03Speaker 5: I went on this pursuit a while ago. I don't
- 3:05Speaker 5: really know.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Yeah you did. I remember this what other awards.
- 3:09Speaker 5: We could win?
- 3:09Speaker 2: But I'm sure they're out there. There's got to be
- 3:12Speaker 2: other awards out there.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Even if we could win an iHeart Radio.
- 3:19Speaker 5: And you know what, I like the nomination.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Yes, I'm not gonna sit here and be like, oh.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Does it matter to you know? It's an honor to
- 3:28Speaker 2: just do No. I love the nominations.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Well, no, of course. Like to be recognized for work
- 3:35Speaker 3: is a great feeling. Yeah, there's no denying that.
- 3:37Speaker 5: No, no new So I love your hair length, Thank
- 3:42Speaker 5: you so much.
- 3:43Speaker 3: It's giving what big wife energy?
- 3:46Speaker 5: Yes, you know what somebody said to me.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I saw Molly May.
- 3:50Speaker 2: They said, it's giving Molly May, and I have never
- 3:54Speaker 2: felt felt more of a compliment in my core in
- 3:57Speaker 2: my life, like Molly May is like.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Peak, Okay, see that means nothing to me. I saw
- 4:03Speaker 3: you posted that, but I know it means a lot
- 4:05Speaker 3: to you.
- 4:06Speaker 5: It means the world to me.
- 4:07Speaker 6: Are you joking?
- 4:08Speaker 5: It means the world. It's giving Molly May.
- 4:11Speaker 2: You basically could say like it's giving.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Jesus christos like I don't know how much higher up
- 4:20Speaker 5: you can get Jesus.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Correct, Yeah, Molly May is Jesus Christ.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Of Tonya's life looks of looks okay, Well, I mean,
- 4:36Speaker 3: I of course know who that is.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Anyone listening who might not.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Molly May was on season five of UK Love Island.
- 4:44Speaker 2: She ended up with Tommy Fury. They had a child
- 4:47Speaker 2: named Bambi together. They are no longer together, although I
- 4:49Speaker 2: do think they will get back together. There was rumors
- 4:51Speaker 2: of infidelity. We're not totally sure. But she's like an icon.
- 4:55Speaker 2: She is a legend. She's so cute. I always think
- 4:58Speaker 2: her fashion is so cute. I think her style. I
- 5:00Speaker 2: was so cute, obsessed with her.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Well. They actually had a viral moment on TikTok because
- 5:05Speaker 3: there was a photo of them leaving the.
- 5:07Speaker 5: Airport, Molly and Tommy.
- 5:09Speaker 3: And the baby and she was pushing the stroller and
- 5:12Speaker 3: rolling luggage, and he just had like one thing in
- 5:15Speaker 3: his hand. And people are like, this is the ultimate
- 5:18Speaker 3: red flag. Why is he not carrying everything and just
- 5:21Speaker 3: letting her push the stroller? And so people are like
- 5:24Speaker 3: posting photos of like other men just like carrying all
- 5:27Speaker 3: the luggage and the woman having like barely anything.
- 5:30Speaker 5: Do you understand.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I didn't even realize until I started after we got
- 5:35Speaker 2: married and I was doing a couple trips solo. I
- 5:38Speaker 2: hadn't lifted a bag into the overhead compartment in years
- 5:41Speaker 2: because Robbie just does it for me.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Neither has Hayley I do.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Yeah, and he like rolls my bags like I don't
- 5:50Speaker 5: have to. I literally don't have to lift a finger.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Yeah, Well take note, Tom, Molly Ray does apparently.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Just better off. Well, I don't know, maybe they're back together,
- 6:00Speaker 3: as you said, rumors are speculating.
- 6:01Speaker 5: Well, I think she deserves better anyways. Anyway, MOLLI may side,
- 6:06Speaker 5: How are you.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Feeling about the hair, because there was just like a shift,
- 6:09Speaker 3: like you went from like girlfriend fiance to like wife
- 6:12Speaker 3: with the haircut?
- 6:14Speaker 5: Really?
- 6:14Speaker 3: Yeah, what does it, dud?
- 6:15Speaker 5: Does it sophisticate me?
- 6:17Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 6:18Speaker 3: It just is like you know, in a parent trap.
- 6:22Speaker 8: Don't like old. No, Okay, sophisticated is a good word.
- 6:27Speaker 8: Like it's just like acquired, sure, acquired Meredith Blake and
- 6:32Speaker 8: the parent trap. Uh huh kind of that vibe.
- 6:36Speaker 5: I don't like her.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Okay, she's a legend, thanks mart.
- 6:45Speaker 5: She's a legend, but like not a nice one.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Yeah. But people in the people have been also saying
- 6:51Speaker 3: I understand Meredith Blake more now as an adult, because
- 6:54Speaker 3: you have these two parents who purposely separated their twins
- 6:59Speaker 3: on purpose, they chose not to see one of their
- 7:02Speaker 3: children for forever, and.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Then that is so weird if you think about it.
- 7:05Speaker 3: And then you have these two, these little brats that
- 7:09Speaker 3: are trained places on you, and you're just trying to
- 7:11Speaker 3: marry a rich man in your twenties and have a
- 7:14Speaker 3: good life for yourself and they're making it hell. And
- 7:17Speaker 3: I was like, they're not wrong.
- 7:19Speaker 5: No, No, I.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Looked her up too. Meredith's hair is way shorter than
- 7:24Speaker 4: Tanya's hair.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Yeah, But like I'm just saying it, it's like this,
- 7:27Speaker 3: like she was in her mid twenties in that show,
- 7:29Speaker 3: and I remember.
- 7:30Speaker 5: The same same, same mid twenties.
- 7:33Speaker 3: It's giving just elevated new phase of life.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Yeah, that's for just new phase of life.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Yeah, how I'm giving that energy because I feel it
- 7:43Speaker 2: in my soul.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Good. I'm glad the Molly May Wife era. How was
- 7:49Speaker 3: your weekend? How are your celebrations?
- 7:52Speaker 5: My weekend was good. How was your weekend?
- 7:54Speaker 3: It was good? Pretty low key, yeah, yeah.
- 7:57Speaker 5: Chill vibes.
- 7:58Speaker 3: They're just like working away on our house, so it's
- 8:00Speaker 3: just construction all day, all every day, and Haley goes
- 8:05Speaker 3: ga on the weekends. Well, so the first weekend they
- 8:07Speaker 3: didn't come until I was like, oh, I guess they
- 8:09Speaker 3: don't do the weekends, which I'm indifferent about. I'm like,
- 8:12Speaker 3: they deserve a break obviously. Yeah, and it's nice not
- 8:15Speaker 3: to have the sound.
- 8:16Speaker 5: And your neighbors probably enjoy them too.
- 8:19Speaker 3: And then they came this Saturday and Haley was like,
- 8:23Speaker 3: maybe you could call and see if they could give
- 8:26Speaker 3: us a heads up if they're coming on the weekend.
- 8:27Speaker 3: I'm like no, I was like, I just want them
- 8:30Speaker 3: to come, and like, the the more they're working, the
- 8:32Speaker 3: faster it's done. Yeah, like this is just a small
- 8:35Speaker 3: bloop in time. Don't sew them down.
- 8:38Speaker 5: No, I agree, but it might not be nice to
- 8:40Speaker 5: your neighbors.
- 8:41Speaker 3: My neighbors are going to be Okay, I've listened to
- 8:43Speaker 3: a lot of sounds around me first I.
- 8:45Speaker 5: Have too, and it's so annoying.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I know it's not great.
- 8:47Speaker 5: I'm like, if the.
- 8:48Speaker 2: People above me want to make one more floating statue
- 8:52Speaker 2: or what, I don't even know what they're making up there,
- 8:55Speaker 2: like throw us a bottle of wine.
- 8:57Speaker 3: I should maybe go deliver some wine.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Or something nice, maybe like a cute little like earphone,
- 9:03Speaker 2: like a ear plugs with like a you know, like
- 9:06Speaker 2: a sweet tree or.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Something noise canceling headphones.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Yeah, like that'd be so nice, Ricey, Yeah, you know
- 9:13Speaker 2: what I'm saying, Like the little ear like the ones
- 9:14Speaker 2: you stick inside.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Your ears that like block out noise.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Yeah, with like a cute little like bottle of wine
- 9:19Speaker 2: and maybe like a sweet treat.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Okay, well I'll think.
- 9:21Speaker 5: About that with a nice little poem.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, hopefully so sorry your saturdays are noisy. Hopefully
- 9:27Speaker 2: this alcohol will make it all noisy.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Yeah, but you just can't assume that everyone drinks. Like
- 9:33Speaker 3: what would East and Allison do if their neighbor brought
- 9:36Speaker 3: earphones and had a sweet.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Treet you'd enjoy the sweet tree, and you made the
- 9:41Speaker 2: bottle of wine to take to somebody else.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Oh that's good a regift.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I had a boss one time gave you a
- 9:46Speaker 4: basket of booze. Yeah, not a good showed me how
- 9:50Speaker 4: little he knows about me. Yeah, so it was disappointing.
- 9:52Speaker 4: I just distributed amongst the staff because they all are
- 9:55Speaker 4: very happy to get the free booze.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, it's good. It's nice to have it
- 9:58Speaker 3: on hand.
- 9:59Speaker 4: It was like it was like beer and whiskey. But
- 10:01Speaker 4: I can't take this home to my wife. Gave it
- 10:04Speaker 4: all the way.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah, but don't you think even if somebody didn't enjoy alcohol,
- 10:07Speaker 2: they would enjoy a nice little limerick with a gesture.
- 10:13Speaker 5: I think you can't go wrong.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll think. Oh, I'll think.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Maybe iTunes gift card.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Down iTunes again. Speaking of music and tales and six
- 10:36Speaker 3: we neither of us went to Coachella, none of us. Yeah, correct,
- 10:41Speaker 3: we were not there, and I went through a range
- 10:44Speaker 3: of emotions. Oh, tell me about it, because I went
- 10:48Speaker 3: to Coachella in twenty sixteen, like I think there fondly. Yeah,
- 10:54Speaker 3: I mean it was, yeah, it was, but I went
- 10:58Speaker 3: hard you know, it was likest Bachelor peak, like right
- 11:02Speaker 3: when they started all the parties and stuff, so it
- 11:05Speaker 3: wasn't as chaotic an influencer heavy yet. And I remember
- 11:12Speaker 3: being like, I don't know if I ever want to
- 11:14Speaker 3: come back here. My feet hurt, it's dusty. I don't
- 11:17Speaker 3: know that I'm having the best time. And then I
- 11:20Speaker 3: went back when in twenty and eighteen Haley performed, until
- 11:22Speaker 3: I went and just saw her performance. Yeah, So I
- 11:26Speaker 3: haven't been since then. So I watch it every year
- 11:28Speaker 3: and I'm like, oh, man, like, should I be going
- 11:32Speaker 3: to that, Like I'm young.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Ish, I'm youngish, and you know, it's like looks like
- 11:41Speaker 1: such a vibe and everyone's getting ready and getting their
- 11:44Speaker 1: hair and makeup done and doing their videos, and then I.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Really put myself there, and I'm like, I would be
- 11:50Speaker 3: so miserable there. Yeah, I would be spiraling over my outfit,
- 11:55Speaker 3: probably feeling bloated, not feeling cute, having to walk. They
- 11:58Speaker 3: took away the bikes where you can get on the
- 12:00Speaker 3: back of the bikes. I would have shut down. But
- 12:03Speaker 3: then there's this part of me that goes I think
- 12:05Speaker 3: what I envy is like the youth and the energy
- 12:10Speaker 3: you can have that. You literally still listen to do it.
- 12:13Speaker 3: I really don't.
- 12:14Speaker 5: Yes, you do. You act like you're like so old, No,
- 12:17Speaker 5: not old.
- 12:17Speaker 3: But like the they're like energy and excitement to go
- 12:20Speaker 3: do that.
- 12:20Speaker 2: I don't have it, and that's fine, I know, but
- 12:24Speaker 2: I think what you long.
- 12:25Speaker 3: For that in thefore, Like I look at Alex Earl
- 12:28Speaker 3: and she's just raging in her like booty shorts and
- 12:32Speaker 3: like cute like Coachella inspired aged.
- 12:35Speaker 5: Three weeks ago, four weeks ago at my wedding. You
- 12:38Speaker 5: still have it in you for one night?
- 12:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I can for one night.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's also about who you go with.
- 12:43Speaker 3: And all my friends are like old old and even
- 12:48Speaker 3: trying to have babies.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Or likes so funny is like I first got I've
- 12:54Speaker 2: live gone several years. I've gone like twenty fourteen, sixteen,
- 12:58Speaker 2: seventeen eighteen, like you name it. I was boots on
- 13:00Speaker 2: the ground. I love Coachella. I love the live music.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I was never stressed about my outfits. I was just
- 13:05Speaker 2: like in it for like.
- 13:07Speaker 3: The music, the festival, Yes of it, Yeah.
- 13:09Speaker 5: I loved it.
- 13:10Speaker 2: However, this year I was watching videos and I was like,
- 13:14Speaker 2: there is not one part, not one ounce of me
- 13:17Speaker 2: that has fomo of not being there. Yeah, not to
- 13:20Speaker 2: say that I don't ever want to go back. I
- 13:22Speaker 2: think this year in particular, I feel like I've had
- 13:25Speaker 2: a very hectic month and like I've been so like
- 13:29Speaker 2: out of place and all over the place that I'm
- 13:31Speaker 2: like yearning for just like being home, nesting, nesting a
- 13:35Speaker 2: little bit, and so like I literally had zero. When
- 13:38Speaker 2: I say like probably negative fomo, I had like negative fomo.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Yeah, but I don't think of what I had was
- 13:44Speaker 3: fomo of the event. Like I know that being there,
- 13:46Speaker 3: i'd be over stimulated with the crowd and like cry
- 13:50Speaker 3: trying to get and was like in.
- 13:52Speaker 5: The Coachella cough after, Yeah.
- 13:54Speaker 3: And like trying to get the uber and your feet hurting.
- 13:58Speaker 3: So like I don't necessarily feel like I had that
- 14:00Speaker 3: I had foamo like youth.
- 14:04Speaker 5: Well, let's run it back in the summer.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll call it. Oh, we're doing our own Yeah,
- 14:11Speaker 2: we'll call it Bonya Bella.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Oh and it's just like your cowboy boots. Oh.
- 14:20Speaker 6: Feels like a supplement would be advertising.
- 14:23Speaker 2: By Bella mixed between Coachella and stage coach.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Okay for all. That's the thing is I've gone to
- 14:31Speaker 3: stage coach. Like last year we went for the day
- 14:35Speaker 3: Alie and I and I was exhausted. Yeah, we fought
- 14:40Speaker 3: to Hot Dusty.
- 14:42Speaker 4: It's it's just a circle of life, though, isn't it.
- 14:44Speaker 4: I Mean, this happened to everybody, but and they fight
- 14:47Speaker 4: it because they still think. No, I'm still the same
- 14:49Speaker 4: person that raged at music festivals. I'm not older than that.
- 14:53Speaker 3: But you are.
- 14:53Speaker 4: And it's okay, I am and from my distant age,
- 14:57Speaker 4: it's it's just it happens to everybody.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Yeah, but I I don't know that I ever enjoyed it.
- 15:03Speaker 4: I think that's true of a lot of people if
- 15:04Speaker 4: they're honest.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I think that I romanticize what it was
- 15:08Speaker 3: or is and I actually wouldn't have fun. But I
- 15:11Speaker 3: also think those things are all about who you're with. Yeah,
- 15:14Speaker 3: and if you're not with people that make everything fun,
- 15:17Speaker 3: it's just like anything, it's not fun.
- 15:18Speaker 5: It's true.
- 15:19Speaker 3: So that's a little bit about me. But I was
- 15:21Speaker 3: just like eating up the performances and the content.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:26Speaker 3: The video of Lady Gaga, which I don't know which
- 15:28Speaker 3: song it is, it's the one that sounds like a
- 15:30Speaker 3: Taylor Swift song. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, just walking
- 15:33Speaker 3: down like the Lou like this is.
- 15:36Speaker 5: A mom so cool?
- 15:37Speaker 4: Yeah, how bad do you want me?
- 15:39Speaker 3: Yeah? I love that song. And then I'm obsessed with Lisa,
- 15:46Speaker 3: I know, but it's more like Mooke.
- 15:48Speaker 2: I'm obsessed with But Mooke was such a non like
- 15:51Speaker 2: move nothing. I know, she was nothing, like literally nothing.
- 15:54Speaker 2: She was a small role. But like I was obsessed
- 15:57Speaker 2: with her me too.
- 15:58Speaker 3: I think I just was introduced to her through Mook
- 16:00Speaker 3: and so when I saw her perform, I was like,
- 16:02Speaker 3: she's so beautiful.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I'm like weirdly obsessed with the White Lotus cast this season,
- 16:09Speaker 2: Like I am.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree.
- 16:11Speaker 2: It's like I cannot get enough any story that comes
- 16:14Speaker 2: out about any of that.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Clips come up on my TikTok.
- 16:17Speaker 5: I watch everyone, every single one.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Well, I wanted to talk about ah Amy Lou and
- 16:24Speaker 3: Patrick Swort Snagger, but first we're gonna take a break.
- 16:46Speaker 3: All right, we're back. So wait before we moved to
- 16:49Speaker 3: the White Lotus cast, I love that Lady Gaga saying
- 16:52Speaker 3: like shallow and all her old stuff, like it wasn't
- 16:56Speaker 3: just all her new stuff, which I know that most
- 16:58Speaker 3: people for Coach.
- 16:59Speaker 2: They she's on the super Bowl halftime show, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 17:05Speaker 2: yeah yeah.
- 17:06Speaker 5: I was like, this is her audition for the super Bowl.
- 17:08Speaker 3: And then I was like, what would be the lineup
- 17:10Speaker 3: to get you back at Coachella?
- 17:13Speaker 5: Like headliners, it'd be it'd be a steep Jonas brothers. Oh,
- 17:21Speaker 5: they got the Jonas Brothers.
- 17:22Speaker 4: There, you go for the Jonas Brothers.
- 17:24Speaker 5: I think, yeah, wow, yea, even.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Though you could just go to Jonas Cohn and hang.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Out different it's different in the fields, you know, it's
- 17:32Speaker 2: a different vibe.
- 17:33Speaker 3: My headliners would be Taylor Swift, Uh, Harry Styles.
- 17:42Speaker 2: He did it, yeah, I know, yeah, but if he
- 17:45Speaker 2: came back, yeah yeah, Beyonce, Beyonce.
- 17:48Speaker 5: That was pretty big.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, well that was the one that Haley performed,
- 17:51Speaker 3: but we didn't stay with left. Yeah.
- 17:53Speaker 2: That was like a euphoria and I went I was
- 17:56Speaker 2: alone for that performance, by the way, Like I literally
- 17:58Speaker 2: it was with my boss. Piatta was there for work
- 18:00Speaker 2: and she was like, I don't want to go in
- 18:02Speaker 2: the crowds. I was like, I'm going by myself. I
- 18:04Speaker 2: just like wheeled my way in there.
- 18:05Speaker 3: I bet you were. You could have gotten really close
- 18:08Speaker 3: when you're a.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Lone ranger, like, oh my gosh, I didn't get so close,
- 18:11Speaker 2: but like I was not far.
- 18:13Speaker 3: But I was like sitting watching it on my couch,
- 18:16Speaker 3: and I thought, well, this is a nice way to
- 18:18Speaker 3: see it. Yeah, feel closer than you know.
- 18:20Speaker 5: We could do.
- 18:22Speaker 2: We could have Vania Bella and we could watch it
- 18:25Speaker 2: on the TV and the comfort of like our couch
- 18:27Speaker 2: and like our sweats.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Oh so like it's a Coachella party, yeah, like a yeah,
- 18:35Speaker 3: even though that's not what I'm longing for.
- 18:38Speaker 5: Ye, let me think on it.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, well we'll troubleshoot that.
- 18:42Speaker 6: Okay.
- 18:42Speaker 3: So your obsessed with white Lotus cast? Yes? What who
- 18:45Speaker 3: are who? And what are you obsessed with about them?
- 18:48Speaker 5: All of them?
- 18:49Speaker 3: But what?
- 18:49Speaker 5: What are you obsessed the inter personal relationships?
- 18:54Speaker 2: The Like I love the story that Patrick Schwarzenegger told
- 18:57Speaker 2: about how like he couldn't even tell his fiance who
- 19:00Speaker 2: his love scenes were with and that she was like
- 19:02Speaker 2: wanting to know or whatever. Then when spoiler alert she
- 19:05Speaker 2: found out that it was his brother, she was like.
- 19:07Speaker 5: You kind of told me that. I wouldn't have been
- 19:09Speaker 5: like upset, you know what I mean?
- 19:10Speaker 3: Like, do you know what's so funny is that someone
- 19:12Speaker 3: I think chicks in the office posted that story, just
- 19:15Speaker 3: like the quote of what he said about Hobby, and
- 19:19Speaker 3: everyone in the comments was like, this is not healthy,
- 19:22Speaker 3: Like she like, oh, she's healthy in this relationship. And
- 19:26Speaker 3: I was thinking, Okay, if your fiance was going off
- 19:31Speaker 3: shooting a show, especially like White Lotus, and you knew
- 19:34Speaker 3: that they're gonna be hooking up, you'd want to know
- 19:37Speaker 3: who it is. Yeah, so normal people are so you guys?
- 19:43Speaker 3: Yeah see, yeah, definitely.
- 19:49Speaker 5: It was like a meeting with new clients and I'm like, why.
- 19:51Speaker 7: Are girls so funny?
- 20:04Speaker 5: I was like, it's a little older man.
- 20:05Speaker 3: I'm like, oh bless, Yeah, that's really funny.
- 20:13Speaker 2: But yeah no, and then like all the drama between
- 20:15Speaker 2: like Amy Lou and uh Walter Goggins.
- 20:18Speaker 3: What Everton is not as normal as well as Walter.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Yeah that like one of them unfollowed the other on Instagram,
- 20:29Speaker 2: so there was all this scuttle that they were.
- 20:30Speaker 4: I missed that drama.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Yeah no, I did, too, well, Get in my lore,
- 20:34Speaker 2: get in my lore algorithm.
- 20:35Speaker 3: I've only seen that she was upset with the SNL impression,
- 20:39Speaker 3: which I didn't watch. I don't watch SNL, but what
- 20:42Speaker 3: she upset about.
- 20:43Speaker 4: I've watched SNL religiously. Uh, for longer than most of
- 20:47Speaker 4: you listening have been alive. I love that show. I
- 20:49Speaker 4: watch it every week. I'll never miss it. I have
- 20:51Speaker 4: since I was in middle school. That's a very funny sketch,
- 20:54Speaker 4: But that the joke about Amy loeu Wood was not funny.
- 20:56Speaker 3: What was?
- 20:57Speaker 4: It was just they put Sarah Sherman in these big,
- 20:59Speaker 4: gross teeth and it just wasn't it just mean? It
- 21:03Speaker 4: just seemed mean. It seemed like the SNL of old
- 21:06Speaker 4: company evolves.
- 21:07Speaker 2: But I feel like that's what they do. They just
- 21:09Speaker 2: like make fun of people all the time.
- 21:10Speaker 6: Every other joke on sketches making fun of like a
- 21:12Speaker 6: political figure. Yeah, and this was just making fun of.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Her team yourself, But that was simply about Amy Leewood's teeth.
- 21:18Speaker 3: And I did not like it, Yeah, like just on
- 21:20Speaker 3: her personal appearance as opposed to like something that she
- 21:24Speaker 3: did or said. It was just like based on how.
- 21:26Speaker 5: I feel like, that's what SNL does all the time.
- 21:29Speaker 5: That's why I don't like it.
- 21:30Speaker 4: You don't watch it.
- 21:31Speaker 5: I know that's not true. Are you sure they are
- 21:35Speaker 5: constantly making fun of people?
- 21:36Speaker 4: Well, that's true, but it's usually people who bring it
- 21:38Speaker 4: on themselves. Like politicians for.
- 21:40Speaker 5: Example, No, it's not justice.
- 21:42Speaker 4: And even if it's politicians, you don't just make fun
- 21:44Speaker 4: of their physical appearance. You make fun of their mannerisms,
- 21:47Speaker 4: things they do, things they've actually politically done.
- 21:52Speaker 5: What about non politicians, I mean.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Actors and stuff. I mean sure, but typically you're not
- 21:56Speaker 4: making fun of somebody just because you find them unattractive
- 22:00Speaker 4: or they're too heavy. Although in the old days they did,
- 22:02Speaker 4: and that's what it felt like. It felt like SNL
- 22:04Speaker 4: from the eighties, where they would actually make fun of
- 22:06Speaker 4: somebody just for being heavy. That's not comedy anymore. We
- 22:10Speaker 4: have evolved as a society.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Right, Yeah. And also the thing is is that I
- 22:15Speaker 3: feel like everyone loves her for how she like. I
- 22:19Speaker 3: think they love that she doesn't look like everybody else,
- 22:21Speaker 3: that she has her unique features.
- 22:23Speaker 4: There's a reason she's the breakout star of that cast.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Whether it's because she's beautiful or because she's likable or
- 22:29Speaker 4: whatever it is, there's a reason all of it.
- 22:31Speaker 2: I think very unique. Like I definitely feel like her
- 22:34Speaker 2: teeth make her very unique. I think she's stunning, and
- 22:37Speaker 2: I think her personality and I don't know her, but
- 22:40Speaker 2: I her character that her personality that came through in
- 22:44Speaker 2: her character was so like gleeful, yes, yeah, yeah, So
- 22:48Speaker 2: it's like all those three things combined I feel like
- 22:51Speaker 2: made her like But.
- 22:52Speaker 4: That's also what added to the tone deafness of the
- 22:54Speaker 4: joke is that America clearly loves her and so you're
- 22:57Speaker 4: just gonna make fun of her face. Like that's not
- 22:59Speaker 4: that's not the vibe right now. The vibe is how
- 23:01Speaker 4: amazing is shit?
- 23:02Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 23:03Speaker 4: Into that?
- 23:04Speaker 2: If anybody is obsessed like I am, and you want
- 23:08Speaker 2: to take your loure to the next level. Watch the
- 23:12Speaker 2: creator Mike White on his season of Survivor.
- 23:15Speaker 5: It is so good.
- 23:17Speaker 2: And he brings in past contestants like cast mats from
- 23:21Speaker 2: his season of Survivor and like puts them at as
- 23:23Speaker 2: like people, passer buyers, whatever, like extras.
- 23:28Speaker 5: So what in the white lotuses?
- 23:30Speaker 3: What did he do before he was a writer.
- 23:33Speaker 5: Or not always been? So when he was on Survivor,
- 23:35Speaker 5: he was like a producer.
- 23:37Speaker 4: I knew who he was when he was on Survivor
- 23:40Speaker 4: White That's like.
- 23:41Speaker 5: He didn't have the white lotus.
- 23:44Speaker 4: He was like well before yeah.
- 23:46Speaker 2: He was like I didn't know who I was, Like
- 23:49Speaker 2: cool producer of Hollywood stuff, you.
- 23:52Speaker 5: Know, what I mean.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Okay.
- 23:53Speaker 4: And by the way, the reason they started the White
- 23:54Speaker 4: Lotus in the first place, I just heard this and
- 23:56Speaker 4: an interview he did. I thought that was so interesting.
- 23:58Speaker 4: During the pandemic, he was super bored, and so we
- 24:00Speaker 4: reached out to HBO and said, hey, maybe we could
- 24:03Speaker 4: do something like a bubble show where the whole cast
- 24:05Speaker 4: and crew are together and we could just do it.
- 24:06Speaker 4: And that shy was like, oh, you mean, like everybody's
- 24:08Speaker 4: on zoom and everybody talks to no, no, no, no, no, it's
- 24:10Speaker 4: not a zoom show. I'm thinking all these resorts in
- 24:13Speaker 4: Hawaii are empty because nobody's traveling, so they're all closed down.
- 24:16Speaker 4: What if we take over one of these resorts, the
- 24:18Speaker 4: cast and crew all stay there, so it's a bubble
- 24:20Speaker 4: nobody leaves nobody, you know, everybody's tested every day and
- 24:22Speaker 4: you get you know, get sick, and I'll just come
- 24:24Speaker 4: up with something. Whoa, That's how it started.
- 24:28Speaker 3: It's so genius.
- 24:29Speaker 5: I wish that as me when I was born. Right, Yes,
- 24:34Speaker 5: I'm bored. I just like scrawl on my phone.
- 24:36Speaker 2: I need to find something to do, like clean a
- 24:40Speaker 2: drawer or something I don't like in your water bottle.
- 24:44Speaker 5: Nope. I think I've watched it once since we've had
- 24:48Speaker 5: that conversation.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Oh my god, man, I think have you ever time
- 24:53Speaker 3: a washman? Which is a week?
- 24:54Speaker 5: Often waste of time?
- 24:58Speaker 3: So some people went to space this morning? Yeah, eleven minutes.
- 25:04Speaker 3: I was very confused by this because I thought they
- 25:07Speaker 3: were going on like a kind of not the moon,
- 25:13Speaker 3: but like I thought they were somewhere longer and further.
- 25:19Speaker 3: I don't know. I didn't like look into it that deeply,
- 25:22Speaker 3: but what I knew about people going on trips to
- 25:24Speaker 3: space was it lasted longer than eleven minutes.
- 25:27Speaker 5: No, that's what many people say about many things.
- 25:29Speaker 2: You know.
- 25:31Speaker 3: That was a good one. I think it's coming out
- 25:32Speaker 3: of my mouth. I thought she could make a good
- 25:34Speaker 3: joke right here.
- 25:35Speaker 5: Thank you. Can I say something that's kind of controversial,
- 25:39Speaker 5: Oh my god.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Please answer your question. That's what the space tourism thing
- 25:43Speaker 4: is because they're not trained astronauts, so they just go
- 25:45Speaker 4: up kind of touch space and come back down again.
- 25:49Speaker 4: That's the origin idea.
- 25:51Speaker 3: That's the new concept, I guess.
- 25:53Speaker 4: Yeah. Anyway, so much as it, Oh, it's a lot,
- 25:57Speaker 4: but I don't than Katie paid that. I think.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Bezosa I don't care about space. Everybody's so fascinated about
- 26:09Speaker 2: like all.
- 26:10Speaker 5: This stuff out there, like, yeah, let's got a space.
- 26:13Speaker 5: I'm like, I we have enough.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Issues on our own planet, Like let's figure out our
- 26:19Speaker 2: own before we start flying into the sky and like
- 26:23Speaker 2: doing all this other stuff.
- 26:24Speaker 5: Like let's like, let's focus on our planet a little bit.
- 26:28Speaker 6: We know the bottom of the ocean where you stand on.
- 26:30Speaker 2: That, no desire to go down there, happy to swim
- 26:34Speaker 2: in the ocean, don't need to go down into a
- 26:36Speaker 2: submarine to go see it.
- 26:37Speaker 9: Because they say we know less about the bottom of
- 26:39Speaker 9: the ocean than we do about outer space.
- 26:40Speaker 5: Yeah, fine by me.
- 26:42Speaker 3: But you know, my thing with the ocean, though, is
- 26:45Speaker 3: that that directly affects our planet right It's outer space
- 26:49Speaker 3: directly affecting what's happening to our planet right now.
- 26:52Speaker 2: I mean, I guess when you like think about like
- 26:54Speaker 2: the push and the pull of the like atonomic.
- 27:01Speaker 5: Controversial now thank you.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Excuse me, but Megan Mark, I guess.
- 27:11Speaker 5: In the big picture you would say it is.
- 27:13Speaker 2: But like I'm with you, I feel like it is
- 27:15Speaker 2: no correlation to our day to day I'm lessening.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Like Haley loves space, She's into. She loves everything, astronaut movies, anything,
- 27:25Speaker 3: she eats it up. I could care less. Really, someone
- 27:29Speaker 3: was like, you can go ride and go up to space.
- 27:32Speaker 3: I'd be like, no, thank you, Like I need you
- 27:35Speaker 3: care that much.
- 27:35Speaker 5: I'd like to keep my boots on the ground, stay here.
- 27:39Speaker 3: No thank you.
- 27:40Speaker 4: I'm not even reaching for the stars. That's the rest
- 27:43Speaker 4: of your feet on the ground.
- 27:44Speaker 5: Keep reaching for the stars, my feet on the ground.
- 27:47Speaker 3: But I'm with you the amountain, Let's like, let's like.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Put all this money and like, let's try and find
- 27:54Speaker 2: a cure for cancer, find a cure for all these things.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Let's fear our ecosystem of poverty. There's there's a lot
- 28:03Speaker 2: that these resources that are going in to fly these
- 28:06Speaker 2: six people up there. Let's take that those millions of
- 28:08Speaker 2: dollars and put it elsewhere.
- 28:11Speaker 5: So get off my soapbox.
- 28:13Speaker 3: No, no, no, it was good. It was good. And
- 28:15Speaker 3: I don't know that that's very controversial.
- 28:18Speaker 2: But so people seem so obsessed with these watching these
- 28:21Speaker 2: nine people for nine months in space, I'm.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Like, oh, well that was kind of a thing because
- 28:26Speaker 3: they were stuck up there.
- 28:28Speaker 5: Let's not send them in the first place.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Well, they're doing those people are doing.
- 28:32Speaker 4: Like research is anti sciences line. We need to know science,
- 28:40Speaker 4: research things to solve our problems, and much of that
- 28:43Speaker 4: can happen in space.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Those people who were stuck up there, we those people
- 28:46Speaker 3: are very important. But I'm saying these rides up and down, Yeah,
- 28:50Speaker 3: maybe that money and energy could be place elsewhere. But
- 28:54Speaker 3: I guess you could say that. You could say about Coachella,
- 28:56Speaker 3: you could say about everything.
- 28:57Speaker 5: True facts, back up facts.
- 28:58Speaker 3: So but my very thing is that my TikTok algorithm
- 29:02Speaker 3: is like very anti this whole. They're just like, this
- 29:05Speaker 3: is kind of our opinion.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Was it her?
- 29:08Speaker 5: Was it Olivia Mon?
- 29:10Speaker 3: Who was it?
- 29:10Speaker 5: That was on the Today Show?
- 29:11Speaker 3: That was like, was it em Rada?
- 29:13Speaker 2: Was it?
- 29:14Speaker 3: Who?
- 29:14Speaker 2: Was it?
- 29:14Speaker 5: Marketing Google?
- 29:15Speaker 3: Em Rada was saying like why are we doing this?
- 29:17Speaker 2: Somebody was on The Today Show with Jenna and they
- 29:20Speaker 2: were like.
- 29:22Speaker 5: Kind of like why are what? What?
- 29:25Speaker 2: What?
- 29:25Speaker 4: Like?
- 29:25Speaker 5: Why? But there's Olivia Mon. Gail King, huh, I thought
- 29:30Speaker 5: it was Olivia Mon.
- 29:32Speaker 4: I'm going to spend some time looking for that.
- 29:34Speaker 5: Gotta be a quick one.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Gail King said that when they got back, she was like, Yeah,
- 29:39Speaker 3: there's this amazing moment where Katy Perry started singing, what
- 29:45Speaker 3: a wonderful world, just like what is going on?
- 29:49Speaker 4: Literally the way?
- 29:53Speaker 5: Yeah, what did she say?
- 29:54Speaker 3: She said, what are they doing? I know this probably
- 29:56Speaker 3: isn't the cool thing to say, but there are so
- 29:57Speaker 3: many other things that are so important in the world
- 29:59Speaker 3: right now. If you want to go to space, why
- 30:01Speaker 3: do you need to tell us about it? You know,
- 30:03Speaker 3: just like, go up there and have a good time,
- 30:05Speaker 3: come on down. What's the point Is it historic that
- 30:08Speaker 3: you guys are going on a ride? I think it's
- 30:09Speaker 3: a bit gluttonous. Space exploration was to further our knowledge
- 30:13Speaker 3: and to help mankind. What are they going to do
- 30:15Speaker 3: up there that has made it better for us?
- 30:17Speaker 2: On here, I'm going Olivia mon on this one weirdly,
- 30:20Speaker 2: and I never thought i'd agree with her here I am, Yeah, I.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Don't know, it's it's it's one of those things where
- 30:27Speaker 3: I guess you could go, you could say this about
- 30:31Speaker 3: so many things that happened in the world. But I
- 30:32Speaker 3: think because there's been so much direct focus on it. Yeah,
- 30:36Speaker 3: obviously people there's gonna be more opinions on it, but
- 30:40Speaker 3: I also I also don't need to know what's at
- 30:42Speaker 3: the bottom of the ocean. It's scarier to me than space.
- 30:48Speaker 2: You know, I'd like to know what's at the bottom
- 30:50Speaker 2: of my stomach. Why, yeah, I don't know, Like you
- 30:55Speaker 2: gotta use the bathroom noo, just like i'd like to
- 30:58Speaker 2: know down. Yeah, like you can search for answers for
- 31:02Speaker 2: things I'd like to know.
- 31:03Speaker 3: As within the realm of possibilities, you can actually go
- 31:06Speaker 3: get that nut. Yeah, speaking of medical procedures, I tried
- 31:09Speaker 3: to start the pit. It was so intense. I like, couldn't.
- 31:14Speaker 3: I had to turn it off.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Oh well, I haven't tried it yet, but that makes
- 31:19Speaker 4: me more excited to try it. I love intense.
- 31:20Speaker 3: There's not there's not like music. So the scenes of them,
- 31:24Speaker 3: like cracking bones, feels really wild. Yeah, it's it's very intense.
- 31:30Speaker 3: But Taylor Banks told me that once you get past
- 31:32Speaker 3: the first episode, which is like a hard watch because
- 31:35Speaker 3: you have to adjust to the sights and sounds. Sure,
- 31:38Speaker 3: it's like addicting.
- 31:40Speaker 5: Oh well that might be next time. I've been watching
- 31:42Speaker 5: a lot of TV lately. Oh yeah, for you, thank
- 31:45Speaker 5: you so much.
- 31:46Speaker 4: Yeah you're not You're not Mike White developing for shows
- 31:49Speaker 4: watching TV.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Yeah, my part, Well, like I f I think back
- 31:52Speaker 2: on my week. I had a double date on Friday.
- 31:55Speaker 2: It was passover on Saturday. I did a lot of
- 31:57Speaker 2: like family stuff this weekend. But I feel like I've
- 32:00Speaker 2: watched I watched Love on the Spectrum a full season
- 32:04Speaker 2: and I loved it. We're watching Million Dollar Secret, which
- 32:09Speaker 2: is so good. It's like Traders meets the Mole.
- 32:14Speaker 8: Oh wow, yeah yeah yeah.
- 32:17Speaker 5: And we're watching The Residents on Netflix.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Oh do you like that?
- 32:23Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 32:24Speaker 3: Do you know what? I think it is? And I
- 32:27Speaker 3: think it's just that every Shonda Rhime show has the
- 32:30Speaker 3: same tone.
- 32:32Speaker 2: This one's different really because we tried to watch it
- 32:36Speaker 2: the first episode and I was like, oh, I just
- 32:38Speaker 2: feel like I'm watching like Grays or Scandal, with like
- 32:41Speaker 2: a monologue, but with different characters in a different plot.
- 32:45Speaker 5: It's a little Scandally, I guess.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, which I love Scandal. Yeah you know,
- 32:50Speaker 3: but I don't know. Sometimes you just need a palate.
- 32:52Speaker 2: I'm giving me the poll like Million Dollar Secret, Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 32:55Speaker 2: yeah yeah. I could barely fall asleep last night without
- 32:57Speaker 2: watching the final two episodes. I cannot wait to get
- 32:59Speaker 2: home to night to watch the final two episodes.
- 33:01Speaker 5: How sick I am?
- 33:03Speaker 3: Yeah, that's pretty pretty intense, not wanting to sleep.
- 33:08Speaker 2: I was about stay up till midnight on a school night,
- 33:11Speaker 2: just to finish this season night.
- 33:14Speaker 3: You know what, I was thinking about, how like we
- 33:17Speaker 3: have free will as an adult, and I was thinking
- 33:19Speaker 3: about how I could just go and rent a bike
- 33:23Speaker 3: and ride on the beach path if I wanted to, Like,
- 33:25Speaker 3: I was thinking about doing that, just like going and
- 33:27Speaker 3: renting a bike at one of those little places and
- 33:29Speaker 3: just like riding because I love riding bikes, but I
- 33:32Speaker 3: don't really want to ride it around my neighborhood, you know.
- 33:36Speaker 3: I just want to ride somewhere with like a view
- 33:38Speaker 3: and just like put my headphones on and just.
- 33:41Speaker 4: Great one from Venice down all the.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Way down, or like Hermosa, you can go like Hermosa
- 33:47Speaker 2: to Santa Monica.
- 33:48Speaker 5: Yeah, on the bike path.
- 33:50Speaker 4: We ride bikes in Washington Boulevard. There's a little bike
- 33:53Speaker 4: shop there. We'd rent bikes and go down around the
- 33:56Speaker 4: Marina and then down towards Medondo till you get to
- 33:58Speaker 4: like the fact that smoke, Yeah, come back, A's gorgeous.
- 34:03Speaker 3: And I was thinking I used to do that. I
- 34:04Speaker 3: used to want to live in San Diego and I
- 34:06Speaker 3: would come up to l A. I would do it
- 34:08Speaker 3: all the time, and I was like, I could do that.
- 34:11Speaker 3: I could just do that. Why don't I do that?
- 34:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 34:15Speaker 3: I don't know, but I'm going to know. I'm going to.
- 34:18Speaker 3: But I was just thinking about it and I was like, man,
- 34:20Speaker 3: it'd be so fun to go ride bikes on the beach.
- 34:22Speaker 3: And I was like, so I should do it. I
- 34:24Speaker 3: should do it because I have free will and I'm
- 34:27Speaker 3: an adult. I can do whatever I want.
- 34:29Speaker 5: Do you want to come over for an Easter egg
- 34:30Speaker 5: hunt this weekend?
- 34:33Speaker 3: I could be interested. I was like, is there who's
- 34:39Speaker 3: going to.
- 34:41Speaker 5: Me and the kids?
- 34:42Speaker 3: Oh? Yeah, yeah, that'd be fun.
- 34:45Speaker 2: I'm probably just one kid at this point, because our
- 34:49Speaker 2: teenager is probably gonna be like.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it'd be I. I that sounds fun.
- 34:55Speaker 3: I'm gonna be alone. Haley's in Chicago. Oh yeahs a
- 34:58Speaker 3: lone ranger. So I mean, if you need me any
- 35:01Speaker 3: other nights.
- 35:01Speaker 5: Week do you want to watch a million dollars? You're
- 35:05Speaker 5: gonna say that you should come over tonight. Since it's
- 35:08Speaker 5: our one month anniversary.
- 35:09Speaker 2: We're gonna watch videos and photos from the wedding on
- 35:11Speaker 2: the We're gonna mirror it to the TV.
- 35:13Speaker 3: You don't think you just want to do that with
- 35:15Speaker 3: with your husband as husband?
- 35:19Speaker 5: Oh was that?
- 35:19Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 35:19Speaker 5: Okay, give it the two of us maybe tomorrow.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Someone said that someone posted about doing their wedding and
- 35:26Speaker 3: the seating arrangements, and they were saying, like, no way
- 35:30Speaker 3: am I putting all my friends at the table. If
- 35:32Speaker 3: I have to sit at a separate table like my photos,
- 35:34Speaker 3: too bad. That's what I did.
- 35:38Speaker 2: I was like, I don't want to sit at a
- 35:40Speaker 2: sweetheart table, like be away from all my friends and
- 35:42Speaker 2: have them all sit together. Like no, thanks, Well you
- 35:45Speaker 2: were never at the table. Yeah, I barely even sit
- 35:47Speaker 2: to eat.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Yeah you were dancing. Yeah, okay, I want to talk
- 35:52Speaker 3: about There was people confess their least favorite things about weddings,
- 35:56Speaker 3: which I thought was an interesting fresh topic for us.
- 35:59Speaker 3: But first we're going to take a break, all right,
- 36:20Speaker 3: we are back. So people, I think someone, uh, this
- 36:24Speaker 3: girl named Lana posted a TikTok saying she's planning her
- 36:28Speaker 3: wedding and she wanted people in the comments to say,
- 36:31Speaker 3: like things that they don't like about weddings so she
- 36:36Speaker 3: knows not to do them, or we'll consider not doing them.
- 36:39Speaker 5: Mm hmmm.
- 36:40Speaker 3: And so I thought it would be fun to go
- 36:42Speaker 3: through some of those.
- 36:44Speaker 4: I'd be curious if Tanya did any of these.
- 36:45Speaker 3: Yeah, the cheesy bridesmaid's groomsmen entrance into the party. Please
- 36:52Speaker 3: don't do that.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Yeah, we do that. That at that at that they
- 36:57Speaker 4: are you're all ready for this? They do that every time,
- 36:59Speaker 4: and it's not it's not it's not great.
- 37:01Speaker 5: Yeah, we didn't do that.
- 37:02Speaker 3: I think as the bridesmaid slash made of honor and
- 37:07Speaker 3: in the weddings I've been a part of I get
- 37:09Speaker 3: so stressed about what I'm gonna do to not be
- 37:14Speaker 3: cringe doing a dance, and so yeah, I think it's
- 37:17Speaker 3: just better for everybody. But Tonya did not do that.
- 37:20Speaker 5: No, I did not.
- 37:23Speaker 3: I hate when couples don't send thank you cards. But
- 37:26Speaker 3: if I take an evening off, buy address, travel to
- 37:29Speaker 3: your wedding, and spend one hundred bucks on a gift,
- 37:31Speaker 3: a card would be nice. Well, you know.
- 37:35Speaker 2: We wrote individual cards at the wedding that wins yea. No,
- 37:42Speaker 2: you know what's interesting, So we didn't register because we
- 37:44Speaker 2: were like, it's actually very funny.
- 37:46Speaker 5: I was.
- 37:47Speaker 2: We went to dinner with Brad and Gary on Friday
- 37:49Speaker 2: and I was telling them because they got us a
- 37:51Speaker 2: gift and they're like, you guys are a register and
- 37:52Speaker 2: I was like, well, it feels weird being like, please
- 37:54Speaker 2: spend thousands of dollars to come to Mexico for our
- 37:56Speaker 2: wedding and please buy us a blender, you know what
- 37:58Speaker 2: I mean. Like if it's felt like weird, you know
- 38:00Speaker 2: what I mean. And they were like, it's very classy
- 38:02Speaker 2: of you. And I was like, thank you, that's what
- 38:04Speaker 2: we were going for. But we have gotten a couple
- 38:06Speaker 2: of gifts. And then I'm like, but we weren't keeping
- 38:09Speaker 2: track because we weren't planning on getting any. So then
- 38:12Speaker 2: Robbie is like, were you keeping track of like the
- 38:14Speaker 2: gifts we got and I was like no. So now
- 38:17Speaker 2: I was like, He's like, we have to send thank
- 38:18Speaker 2: you cards?
- 38:19Speaker 5: And I was like, we already wrote cards for everybody.
- 38:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that y'all are fine.
- 38:23Speaker 6: I think I wrote yeah, right, I feel like I
- 38:26Speaker 6: need to send you a thank you card.
- 38:29Speaker 2: I was like, shoot, do we need to send thank
- 38:31Speaker 2: you cards to the people that did like send us stuff?
- 38:34Speaker 3: No, I don't think so, Like I think you did
- 38:37Speaker 3: the card, which was like all encompassing of the efforts
- 38:40Speaker 3: of coming to the wedding. I think then getting you
- 38:42Speaker 3: a gift outside of that, I don't know that they need.
- 38:47Speaker 5: I don't know. I'm stressed because I was not.
- 38:49Speaker 3: I was like, no, maybe just a text.
- 38:52Speaker 5: We didn't keep track.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Well, then maybe they'll listeners.
- 38:56Speaker 6: Podcast on the podcast did you get us a blender?
- 38:58Speaker 4: Thank you? So cute?
- 39:01Speaker 5: It's mostly cash we've gotten.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Well, that's nice. Yeah, this one's interesting that I disagree with.
- 39:07Speaker 3: If you want to prescribe or expect things from your
- 39:10Speaker 3: bridesmaids new dress, hair, makeup at bachelorette trip, you should
- 39:15Speaker 3: be fronting the cost or not expecting gifts because to me,
- 39:20Speaker 3: I think obviously they're if you're not able to contribute,
- 39:24Speaker 3: and it's like a financial thing. I think that's a
- 39:26Speaker 3: conversation you have with the bride and just like see
- 39:29Speaker 3: where y'all can meet in the middle. But to me,
- 39:32Speaker 3: the bachelorette trip and like all these things is like
- 39:35Speaker 3: the gift from the bridesmaid to the bride.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but I do think that there's also stuff that
- 39:40Speaker 2: the bride should cover, Like I'm trying to think. That's
- 39:44Speaker 2: why I was pretty lenient on even though I had
- 39:46Speaker 2: a color. I was like, I want my bridesmaids to
- 39:48Speaker 2: like their dresses. So I just kind of gave you
- 39:50Speaker 2: all like freedom to choose whatever dress you wanted, and
- 39:53Speaker 2: also like make up, hair and makeup. I paid for
- 39:57Speaker 2: a lot of you didn't want it, so if you
- 40:00Speaker 2: didn't want it, but like that type of stuff, you
- 40:02Speaker 2: know what I mean, Like I felt.
- 40:04Speaker 3: But I'm saying like I think that, Well, yeah, I
- 40:06Speaker 3: guess if the bride is like, you need to have
- 40:08Speaker 3: your hair and makeup professionally done, then I think that
- 40:11Speaker 3: the bride should cover that, right. But I think the dress,
- 40:14Speaker 3: even though I think everyone has an about the dress,
- 40:17Speaker 3: it's just part of it. Bacheloretrop I think is more
- 40:19Speaker 3: of a conversation because they've gotten like very extravagant compared
- 40:23Speaker 3: to what they used to be. But I think that's
- 40:24Speaker 3: just a conversation you have amongst the bridesmaids and the
- 40:27Speaker 3: bride if she's involved. But I think there's more of
- 40:31Speaker 3: a balance there. Someone said, I won't contribute to your honeymoon.
- 40:36Speaker 3: I'm a single girl already going to your wedding. I'm
- 40:38Speaker 3: not paying for your vacation.
- 40:42Speaker 5: That's very funny.
- 40:43Speaker 2: I kind of it's it's so tough because I like,
- 40:48Speaker 2: go when you're when you're in it, right, like the
- 40:51Speaker 2: decision not to register, that's why we decided not to register.
- 40:54Speaker 2: But then I was like maybe I was like people
- 40:57Speaker 2: want people if people want to give you something, like
- 40:59Speaker 2: let's put up a honey fund, And Robbie's like, we're
- 41:01Speaker 2: not putting up a honey fund, Like that's on us.
- 41:05Speaker 5: This is our honey you know what I mean? Like,
- 41:07Speaker 5: and it's I don't know.
- 41:08Speaker 2: I feel like I always go back to like, if
- 41:09Speaker 2: you're doing a destination wedding, you're expecting people to like
- 41:12Speaker 2: travel and go like that's the gift in itself, do
- 41:15Speaker 2: you know what I mean?
- 41:16Speaker 3: I think I think it is different if you do
- 41:19Speaker 3: a destination wedding versus a local wedding that's like a
- 41:22Speaker 3: one night ask, right, I think there's more. Here's my
- 41:28Speaker 3: honeymoon fund, here's my registry, right. But I think when
- 41:31Speaker 3: people are flying and spending money to come and save
- 41:33Speaker 3: for a whole weekend.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's a flight, it's a hotel, it's close,
- 41:37Speaker 2: like it's like a whole thing.
- 41:39Speaker 3: You know.
- 41:39Speaker 4: What I always found gross is the dollar dance? Yeah,
- 41:43Speaker 4: what is that where you're the bride goes out on
- 41:47Speaker 4: the dance floor and she dances with who willever give
- 41:50Speaker 4: her a dollar? Right? You put a dollar like on herself. Yeah,
- 41:54Speaker 4: you pint a dollar to her dress and then you
- 41:56Speaker 4: can dance with her, and then you guys line up
- 41:58Speaker 4: and she ends up covered in dollar bills and that's it.
- 42:01Speaker 4: Goes through the honeymoon funders.
- 42:02Speaker 6: I gets so uncomfortable because I'm like, I'm gonna poker
- 42:04Speaker 6: with the pin.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:07Speaker 4: I've seen it a lot. Yeah, me too.
- 42:10Speaker 3: So anyone can go up and put a dollar on
- 42:12Speaker 3: the bride and get a dance with her.
- 42:14Speaker 4: It's typically the males in the room. It's kind of
- 42:16Speaker 4: an old school tradition.
- 42:18Speaker 3: Oh my god, I hate that. I don't know. Maybe
- 42:21Speaker 3: there's just something sweet that I'm missing about it, but
- 42:23Speaker 3: I don't like it.
- 42:24Speaker 5: I don't like it either.
- 42:27Speaker 3: The garter toss yealed and do a garter toss?
- 42:29Speaker 5: I did, Like, I don't even think I had a garter?
- 42:33Speaker 3: Did you do it?
- 42:34Speaker 7: Like?
- 42:34Speaker 6: I was No, I was wearing the garter.
- 42:36Speaker 9: I had a Captain America garter that I wore the
- 42:39Speaker 9: whole wedding.
- 42:46Speaker 3: That's so funny.
- 42:47Speaker 6: That was awesome.
- 42:52Speaker 3: I don't know if there's any others.
- 42:53Speaker 4: That strangers that's ae.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Or like if I don't know anyone at the wedding,
- 42:58Speaker 3: let me bring a plus one. Please give me a plus.
- 43:01Speaker 5: One, I will say.
- 43:03Speaker 2: Because it was a big debate on the podcast prior
- 43:05Speaker 2: to my wedding, the blusher or what is it, the
- 43:10Speaker 2: veil over my head? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I didn't need it.
- 43:13Speaker 2: I didn't need to do it. The photos didn't come
- 43:16Speaker 2: back magical.
- 43:17Speaker 5: They just didn't.
- 43:19Speaker 4: And I'm like, you would change that if you could
- 43:20Speaker 4: go back.
- 43:21Speaker 2: There's a few things I would change about my wedding
- 43:23Speaker 2: if I could go back.
- 43:24Speaker 5: None of them. None of them like made or break,
- 43:29Speaker 5: were make or break, you know what I mean. Like
- 43:30Speaker 5: I'm not literally like nothing.
- 43:34Speaker 4: I don't know how glorious.
- 43:36Speaker 5: Yeah, but yeah, I look back at.
- 43:38Speaker 2: The photos of the veil over my head and I'm like,
- 43:40Speaker 2: they are not giving what Like you know, Everybody's like
- 43:42Speaker 2: it's going to blow in the wind and it's going
- 43:44Speaker 2: to be this like you're gonna this angel and I'm like, no,
- 43:46Speaker 2: I look like I have like a thing flopping over my.
- 43:49Speaker 6: Face, you know what I mean.
- 43:50Speaker 2: It's not it was not the image that everybody told me.
- 43:55Speaker 2: It would be, so I would have just warn my
- 43:59Speaker 2: veil back. Okay, I would have taken more photos in
- 44:03Speaker 2: my reception dress. I'm like, really sad, I don't have
- 44:05Speaker 2: like actual photos in my reception dress.
- 44:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no photos, just memories.
- 44:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:14Speaker 3: I have some.
- 44:15Speaker 2: They're like blurry and I'm like drunk, and I know.
- 44:19Speaker 2: I wish I would have taken more time to eat.
- 44:22Speaker 2: I feel like I didn't eat enough, So I wish
- 44:26Speaker 2: I would have like built that in at some point
- 44:28Speaker 2: to like eat.
- 44:29Speaker 5: And there was one other regret.
- 44:33Speaker 3: I had if I could go back scouting for the photos.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Ye, scouting for photo locations. Yeah, but that's it again.
- 44:42Speaker 2: None of these were make or brain.
- 44:45Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a short look.
- 44:45Speaker 4: That's good for people planning weddings or thinking of the
- 44:48Speaker 4: future wedding. Keep those things in mind, Avail.
- 44:50Speaker 2: You don't need to put it over your head. It's
- 44:52Speaker 2: not going to be this magical photo. It's just not.
- 44:54Speaker 3: But I think that was of course, we had the
- 44:56Speaker 3: photo conversation, but Robbie really wanted that, right, didn't Robbie robise?
- 45:03Speaker 2: For some reason, he was like, I love the idea
- 45:05Speaker 2: of me like unveiling you.
- 45:09Speaker 5: See me, all right, bro? You did a first look
- 45:13Speaker 5: like you've seen me.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Literally we wrote on a golf cart here together, like
- 45:16Speaker 2: I don't know what you're trying to unveil. Yeah, he
- 45:21Speaker 2: like loved the idea of me having it, So I
- 45:22Speaker 2: was like what I was no skin off my back
- 45:24Speaker 2: and I was like it could look cool, didn't need it.
- 45:30Speaker 3: Well, that's good for the brides to be to know
- 45:33Speaker 3: about the blusher.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and make sure your uh bustle is bustled tight.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Oh that was me. I tied it in a double knot,
- 45:41Speaker 3: but in a bow instead of a just a single knot. Yeah. Fail,
- 45:45Speaker 3: I know fail.
- 45:46Speaker 2: I'm watching all my first dance videos. All the photos
- 45:49Speaker 2: are just like slowly starts to unravel.
- 45:52Speaker 3: To Haley, and I was like, oh my god, and
- 45:57Speaker 3: I was like, I'm sober wrong No, but I I like,
- 46:04Speaker 3: I was like, oh, I'm going to do a double
- 46:05Speaker 3: knot so it stays that baby was strong. No, So
- 46:09Speaker 3: make sure you do a tight knot on the bustle.
- 46:12Speaker 5: Yeah, tight, nice and tight.
- 46:14Speaker 4: By the way, Becka, you show the earthquake this morning.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Oh weirdly, I was in I was getting acupuncture when
- 46:20Speaker 3: it happened.
- 46:20Speaker 4: It was dangerous.
- 46:22Speaker 3: I didn't feel it, but I was thinking, like that
- 46:24Speaker 3: could have been chaos, yeah, right through, because like I looked,
- 46:28Speaker 3: I looked at my phone and everyone's like, did you
- 46:30Speaker 3: feel the earthquake? And I was like, where was it
- 46:32Speaker 3: was in San Diego? I know it was like six
- 46:34Speaker 3: a six something.
- 46:36Speaker 4: Five three, but we felt the way up here on
- 46:37Speaker 4: the floor it was it was strong.
- 46:39Speaker 5: Yeah, strong.
- 46:40Speaker 4: Oh my gosh from San Diego. I mean that's far
- 46:44Speaker 4: drive yesterday, that's far from here, that's far.
- 46:46Speaker 3: What do you do in San Diego?
- 46:47Speaker 5: Well, thank you for asking.
- 46:48Speaker 4: My daughter was in the us UCSD production of Footloose
- 46:51Speaker 4: over the weekend, so we went down to watch that
- 46:53Speaker 4: and her birthday next weekend, so we did a little
- 46:55Speaker 4: birthday brunch with her friends down there. It was really
- 46:57Speaker 4: nice in La Joya, Yeah, very nice.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Are they wholesome or are they like party girls? Like
- 47:02Speaker 3: are you?
- 47:02Speaker 4: Well, that's been That's a good question because some are girls,
- 47:06Speaker 4: some are not. And she gets kind of torn between
- 47:09Speaker 4: the two, the party girls and the non party girls.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Oh, she's like she has a balance.
- 47:14Speaker 4: Yeah, we really like the sweet ones that aren't the
- 47:16Speaker 4: party girls. But she really is drawn to some of
- 47:20Speaker 4: the party girls, but not the extreme party girls. She
- 47:22Speaker 4: doesn't like them. So it's like a balance.
- 47:25Speaker 3: Don't want to be in. You don't want the extreme
- 47:28Speaker 3: of anything, right, So you don't want the.
- 47:31Speaker 4: Ones that are throwing up regularly.
- 47:33Speaker 3: Right just once every few years, yes.
- 47:36Speaker 4: And you don't want the ones that are that never
- 47:38Speaker 4: go out either, that are boring, right.
- 47:40Speaker 5: Right, there's some boring about that.
- 47:42Speaker 4: I'm with you. I've lived I've lived that life.
- 47:44Speaker 3: But there's something fun about, especially at that age of
- 47:47Speaker 3: the girls who are just like, yeah, let's go to
- 47:49Speaker 3: the frat house, you know whatever they do living at
- 47:52Speaker 3: the front. Yeah, I know you are living at the
- 47:55Speaker 3: frat house, probably rolling on the ground.
- 47:57Speaker 5: And sliding into the like yeah, then your feet.
- 48:02Speaker 3: Like stick to the ground because of the beer.
- 48:05Speaker 2: It's actually so gross, Like when I look back on
- 48:07Speaker 2: my college experience because like especially how I am now
- 48:09Speaker 2: with like cleanliness and like things like that.
- 48:12Speaker 5: Like they used to have these things.
- 48:13Speaker 2: That were called fu bar, which stands for beyond all recognition, Yes, wow,
- 48:18Speaker 2: And they would make like there they basically had like
- 48:21Speaker 2: imagine like an apartment complex where like all the rooms
- 48:23Speaker 2: are like in a square and then they have like
- 48:25Speaker 2: a big courtyard in the middle. They would somehow block
- 48:28Speaker 2: off this courtyard and make it a giant pool and
- 48:31Speaker 2: you would have to like slide in and like it's
- 48:33Speaker 2: just like a giant pool and you're just in it
- 48:36Speaker 2: all day and you're bathing to do and you're going from
- 48:37Speaker 2: frat house to frat they're all doing it, frat house
- 48:40Speaker 2: to frat house. They're disgusting. There's beers in there, there's
- 48:44Speaker 2: like you don't even want to know what's in there.
- 48:46Speaker 3: Ew gross. But that's you know, college life, the college experience,
- 48:51Speaker 3: I suppose.
- 48:51Speaker 5: Gosh my, it was crazy.
- 48:54Speaker 3: It is hard to picture you in that environment now
- 48:57Speaker 3: I know.
- 48:58Speaker 5: And like there were so many at my school and
- 49:00Speaker 5: I never did any of them.
- 49:04Speaker 3: There was never one too about like drugs at Coachella
- 49:07Speaker 3: and like who's they were? Like is are people just
- 49:09Speaker 3: drunk and like gardening or are people doing like.
- 49:12Speaker 2: No, people are doing like crazy stuff. It's like scary
- 49:15Speaker 2: kind of Yeah.
- 49:17Speaker 3: I'm always like, is there at least one person in
- 49:18Speaker 3: the group making sure everyone's getting home?
- 49:20Speaker 2: Hardly not?
- 49:21Speaker 3: I bet. Yeah, it's kind of scary to think about.
- 49:25Speaker 3: But that's all for today.
- 49:28Speaker 2: Yeah. I would like to wish a happy passover to
- 49:30Speaker 2: anybody who celebrates hawk, sameya, happy past.
- 49:34Speaker 6: I have one quick thing to say to really quick.
- 49:36Speaker 9: I got a DM the other day from Shelby Delaney
- 49:39Speaker 9: and she said she wanted to watch the East Awards.
- 49:43Speaker 9: She was pregnant and after she watched me sing this
