Latest / Outspoken the Podcast / Molly-Mae’s Break Up Sparks TikTok Fury
Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken, it's your dose of the
- 0:05Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:09Speaker 1: Sophie Torber and coming up on today's show, Sophie Keisha
- 0:13Speaker 1: addresses speculation about her sperm donor, Indy Clinton hires a
- 0:17Speaker 1: sleep nurse and everything you need to know about Molly
- 0:21Speaker 1: May and Tommy Fury's shock split. But first, we have
- 0:25Speaker 1: a special guest joining us fresh from maternity leave. Kate,
- 0:29Speaker 1: I didn't think you'd be back this quickly. Well, I've
- 0:30Speaker 1: been called in at the last minute because Amy is
- 0:33Speaker 1: not well. And Sophie, you couldn't do a solo episode
- 0:35Speaker 1: and I jumped at the chance. I'm very excited to
- 0:37Speaker 1: be back for this episode. Yeah, I need to talk
- 0:40Speaker 1: to someone about the Molly Mae breakup. I just couldn't
- 0:42Speaker 1: do a monologue of it on my own. No, I
- 0:45Speaker 1: am so excited because whilst I've been feeding Jack, I
- 0:48Speaker 1: have a spare hand. So I have been on TikTok.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I am up with all the goss on this and
- 0:52Speaker 1: I am devastated. Oh. We are going to get into
- 0:55Speaker 1: that one later, but it is just shocking news coming
- 0:58Speaker 1: out of the UK. I also have to apologise because
- 1:01Speaker 1: this episode is a day late. So we have switched
- 1:05Speaker 1: up our main shows to come out on Tuesday and Thursday,
- 1:08Speaker 1: but because of Amy's sickness, we thought we'd wait until today,
- 1:11Speaker 1: but she's still not better. I think it's because she
- 1:14Speaker 1: did pop up on Four Corners this week. It has
- 1:16Speaker 1: been a big week for her. Yeah, so she was
- 1:18Speaker 1: a part of the Louise Milligan investigation into the Seven Network.
- 1:22Speaker 2: It is one of the most soul-crushing places you can
- 1:26Speaker 2: work in.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Smoke and mirrors. Channel 7 likes to portray itself as
- 1:31Speaker 1: a family. It's a very dysfunctional family. Breaking 7 silence.
- 1:36Speaker 3: The fear is visceral.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I haven't seen anything like it. I wouldn't just call
- 1:39Speaker 1: it the second chance club, I'd call it the third,
- 1:41Speaker 1: fourth and fifth chance club. They shouldn't be in business
- 1:44Speaker 1: if that's what they're doing to young women. How do
- 1:47Speaker 1: they sleep it? It is a really important story that
- 1:51Speaker 1: I don't think is getting enough traction in the media
- 1:54Speaker 1: at the moment. There are so many outlets that haven't
- 1:56Speaker 1: covered it, I assume because of their connection with the
- 1:59Speaker 1: Seven Network. That being said, go and check it out.
- 2:02Speaker 1: It is on ABC, iview and also YouTube. And we'll
- 2:06Speaker 1: put a link in the show notes to it because
- 2:07Speaker 1: it is a very powerful report and one that more
- 2:09Speaker 1: people should be talking about. It's also very surprising that
- 2:12Speaker 1: social commentators haven't jumped on this one either, but I
- 2:15Speaker 1: think it just demonstrates the power that this network yields. Yeah, well,
- 2:18Speaker 1: a lot of the social commentators who would normally talk
- 2:21Speaker 1: about these topics do have links to certain networks. So again,
- 2:25Speaker 1: it is disappointing. I think a lot of people are
- 2:28Speaker 1: just in protection mode.
- 2:29Speaker 3: I've been around this long enough to know that there
- 2:33Speaker 3: was going to be a lot of conversation around it.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Sophie Keisha has been forced to comment on rampant speculation
- 2:40Speaker 1: that her ex-husband, Jared, is her sperm donor. Ever since
- 2:43Speaker 1: the pyjama mogul announced last month that she's having a
- 2:46Speaker 1: baby on her own, She has been bombarded with questions
- 2:49Speaker 1: about the father's identity. Now, Sophie has been holidaying in
- 2:53Speaker 1: Fiji with her daughter, Florence, when a follower's question tipped
- 2:57Speaker 1: her over the edge. Yeah, so she was relaxing by
- 3:00Speaker 1: the pool and she must have been checking her DMs
- 3:02Speaker 1: and she came across this one. So a follower wrote,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I'm so interested in your conception. Sperm donor, Jared, plan
- 3:10Speaker 1: to co-parent, family parent, not to be judgy, but to
- 3:13Speaker 1: learn and then support. Respect privacy completely. It's a little
- 3:18Speaker 1: bit ironic that they're saying they respect privacy, but have
- 3:20Speaker 1: asked about five questions within that DM. There's a lot
- 3:22Speaker 1: of invasive questions in there. Now, Sophie hit back on
- 3:25Speaker 1: her Instagram story, confirming that Jared is not the father.
- 3:29Speaker 1: She wrote, I knew I'd face questions and intrigue, and
- 3:32Speaker 1: that's totally fine. And perhaps one day when I'm ready,
- 3:35Speaker 1: I will discuss everything. However, something I wasn't prepared for
- 3:39Speaker 1: was the many assumptions and questions around my ex-husband being
- 3:43Speaker 1: the father. Do you know how many people have kids
- 3:46Speaker 1: with their ex six years after separation? Lol. Just because
- 3:50Speaker 1: we have an amicable family relationship co-parenting our amazing Bobby
- 3:54Speaker 1: and Florence doesn't mean we're making more babies together.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Wild.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Leave him and his personal life out of it. believe
- 4:01Speaker 1: it's been six years since they split up. That has
- 4:03Speaker 1: flown by. It is crazy. Now, the reason why there
- 4:06Speaker 1: has been so much speculation around Jared potentially being the
- 4:10Speaker 1: father is because Sophie has previously revealed that she asked
- 4:14Speaker 1: him to be her sperm donor. So she was married
- 4:17Speaker 1: to the former AFL player for four years before realizing
- 4:20Speaker 1: that she was attracted to women. And following the split,
- 4:23Speaker 1: they have continued to be in one another's lives as friends,
- 4:26Speaker 1: and they have a very amicable co-parenting relationship. Now, Sophie
- 4:31Speaker 1: made this revelation a couple of years ago and created
- 4:34Speaker 1: a series of Instagram stories where she explained that Jared
- 4:37Speaker 1: had politely declined to be her sperm donor, and she
- 4:41Speaker 1: laughed off the fact that he said no. So it's
- 4:44Speaker 1: not clear how serious this discussion was or if it
- 4:46Speaker 1: was a bit of a joke, but this is where
- 4:49Speaker 1: this speculation and rumor is coming from. I did actually
- 4:52Speaker 1: wonder if Jared was the sperm donor when I saw
- 4:54Speaker 1: this news pop up, because I did remember her saying
- 4:57Speaker 1: something about it. But again, it's so murky and so
- 5:00Speaker 1: much happens in this influencer space that you kind of
- 5:03Speaker 1: only remember little details of it. So I can understand
- 5:06Speaker 1: why one of her followers would ask.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:09Speaker 1: And Jared does have a new partner now. So I
- 5:12Speaker 1: wonder if they have asked Sophie to address the speculation.
- 5:16Speaker 1: They're probably over all of the rumours. The irony is
- 5:20Speaker 1: though that addressing it has meant that there are a
- 5:22Speaker 1: ton of headlines and photos of Sophie and Jared together
- 5:26Speaker 1: all over the media. So it kind of makes it
- 5:28Speaker 1: even more awkward. It would be so awkward for Jared
- 5:31Speaker 1: and his new partner. I do feel for them being
- 5:34Speaker 1: dragged into this story. And normally I would say it's
- 5:37Speaker 1: really none of anyone's business, but Sophie has really gone
- 5:41Speaker 1: out of her way to share information about this pregnancy announcement.
- 5:44Speaker 1: She's launched her YouTube channel, off the back of this announcement,
- 5:47Speaker 1: she's been sharing very personal videos announcing the news to
- 5:50Speaker 1: her kids. So you can see why people feel like
- 5:53Speaker 1: they're entitled to know. Yeah. Well, Sophie did say she
- 5:56Speaker 1: wasn't surprised that there was a lot of interest and
- 5:59Speaker 1: intrigue around it, particularly because she has announced that she's
- 6:02Speaker 1: doing this on her own. But she pointed out that
- 6:04Speaker 1: heterosexual couples aren't faced with these types of invasive questions
- 6:09Speaker 1: and that this line of questioning is really only reserved
- 6:12Speaker 1: for queer people. Here's what she said.
- 6:14Speaker 5: My point is Let's not be invasive to the queer community.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Let's not be invasive to women who want to pursue
- 6:21Speaker 5: this on their own. Let's not be invasive to the
- 6:23Speaker 5: two dads that are having a baby together.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And say, so whose is it? Which one's sperm? Made
- 6:29Speaker 1: the magic.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Let's just be happy that there's babies coming into the
- 6:36Speaker 3: world and that's beautiful. It doesn't matter how they got here.
- 6:40Speaker 3: I just think, picture yourself asking that question to straight couples.
- 6:45Speaker 3: How'd you do it?
- 6:46Speaker 1: Did you suck?
- 6:48Speaker 3: Did you need medication?
- 6:50Speaker 1: Anyway. She also created a series of stories saying that
- 6:54Speaker 1: it's interesting that so many people online felt comfortable asking
- 6:59Speaker 1: her this question, but no one in her close circle
- 7:02Speaker 1: asked her where the baby came from. Well, it's good
- 7:05Speaker 1: that people in her own personal circle haven't been questioning
- 7:07Speaker 1: her and haven't been invasive. But do you think that's
- 7:09Speaker 1: because they already know that she's doing IVF? You know
- 7:12Speaker 1: what I mean? Because obviously she's probably had more conversations
- 7:15Speaker 1: with with them around what her plan of attack is.
- 7:18Speaker 1: It is good to know that she's not getting this
- 7:20Speaker 1: line of questioning from people within her circle, but that's
- 7:23Speaker 1: most likely because they already know the details.
- 7:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I do think she made a good point generally about
- 7:29Speaker 1: the queer community though, because I don't think that anyone
- 7:32Speaker 1: has the right to question the circumstances around same-sex pregnancies
- 7:37Speaker 1: or ask those who choose to do it on their
- 7:38Speaker 1: own very invasive questions. I think that Pregnancy is so
- 7:42Speaker 1: complex and it should always be approached with a lot
- 7:44Speaker 1: of sensitivity and respect. Yeah, but it's not just queer
- 7:47Speaker 1: people who get invasive questions when they're pregnant. It's quite
- 7:50Speaker 1: a common thing. I was obviously pregnant recently and people
- 7:54Speaker 1: just think they can ask you whatever they like. But
- 7:56Speaker 1: I also think with queer couples, people are more brazen
- 7:59Speaker 1: and almost act like it's their right to know. But
- 8:02Speaker 1: I wouldn't take this as a blueprint of what normally
- 8:04Speaker 1: happens because it's a very different situation. Sophie Keisha is
- 8:09Speaker 1: clearly trying to resurrect her mummy blogging career and she's
- 8:12Speaker 1: made a fortune off oversharing about her life. I always
- 8:16Speaker 1: think it's a positive because she can actually show people
- 8:20Speaker 1: what the process is like for a queer woman having
- 8:23Speaker 1: a child through IVF and going through the sperm donor process.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I mean, it's a very hot topic at the moment
- 8:28Speaker 1: after that Netflix doco about the guy that had a
- 8:31Speaker 1: thousand children just dropped. Yeah. I mean, I would be
- 8:34Speaker 1: so intrigued to learn more and I do really think
- 8:36Speaker 1: it's a great chance for Sophie to share about her experience,
- 8:39Speaker 1: one that we don't see all the time on the internet. Yeah,
- 8:41Speaker 1: I mean, I think she has every right to set
- 8:44Speaker 1: boundaries and urge people to stop the speculation, particularly around
- 8:48Speaker 1: her ex-husband, because that would be tough to deal with.
- 8:50Speaker 1: She did point out that when she's ready, she will
- 8:53Speaker 1: open up more about her IVF experience, but that has
- 8:56Speaker 1: led to people speculating that she's building intrigue purposely around
- 9:01Speaker 1: her conception path So she can monetize it on her
- 9:04Speaker 1: channel because her whole pregnancy reveal so far has been
- 9:08Speaker 1: very strategic in terms of the information that is being
- 9:11Speaker 1: drip fed on a YouTube account. I mean, we've seen
- 9:14Speaker 1: her announce, like there's been two separate videos for her
- 9:17Speaker 1: announcing it to her kids. So she did one announcing
- 9:19Speaker 1: it to Flossie, one announcing it to Bobby. So people
- 9:22Speaker 1: are thinking maybe she's going to come out with a
- 9:25Speaker 1: partnership with an IVF clinic or it's going to be
- 9:28Speaker 1: built into something that gets a lot of traction and
- 9:31Speaker 1: a lot of eyeballs on it. It is an interesting
- 9:34Speaker 1: shift of gears because Sophie has been quite open about
- 9:36Speaker 1: the fact that she wants her private life to be private.
- 9:39Speaker 1: And that was around the time she split up from
- 9:41Speaker 1: her fiance, Maddie Garrick. Now, I personally think what has
- 9:45Speaker 1: caused this change is that the cost of living is
- 9:47Speaker 1: catching up with everyone. And she was building a house
- 9:50Speaker 1: with Maddie and obviously she thought Maddie was going to
- 9:53Speaker 1: move in and actually help her pay the mortgage off.
- 9:56Speaker 1: That hasn't happened and the interest rates have gone up.
- 9:58Speaker 1: So I think she needs to monetize. her personal life. Well,
- 10:01Speaker 1: she's put up on Keisha, her pajama brand site, that
- 10:04Speaker 1: there's a huge announcement coming soon. I'm expecting that she's
- 10:08Speaker 1: going to be bringing out baby pajamas or maternity pajamas,
- 10:12Speaker 1: something along those lines. So again, monetizing her life situation.
- 10:16Speaker 1: What did Tommy do to my Molly Mae?
- 10:20Speaker 4: What did Tommy.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Do then?
- 10:23Speaker 4: Because I know my Molly's a saint, yeah?
- 10:26Speaker 2: Let me in a fucking room with him.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Let me in there.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Love you, Molly Mae.
- 10:29Speaker 2: We stand with the Molly Mae. We stand with Miss Mae.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Fucking distraught for her. Molly Mae Haig has sent shockwaves
- 10:35Speaker 1: around the world by announcing her split from fiancé and
- 10:38Speaker 1: baby daddy Tommy Fury. Fans of the high-profile couple who
- 10:42Speaker 1: met five years ago on Love Island are struggling to
- 10:44Speaker 1: deal with the news and are convinced a cheating scandal
- 10:47Speaker 1: is brewing. Sophie, I can't quite believe it. I feel
- 10:51Speaker 1: genuinely shattered about this announcement. This has hit so many
- 10:55Speaker 1: people so hard. And I have to go into how
- 10:58Speaker 1: I found out this news because everyone knows that I'm
- 11:01Speaker 1: a massive Molly Mae fan. I did see someone comment
- 11:03Speaker 1: on Instagram that they'll remember the spot they were when
- 11:06Speaker 1: they found out this news. It's quite similar to when
- 11:09Speaker 1: you found out about Princess Diana passing away. I mean,
- 11:12Speaker 1: I don't think it's quite that big, but people are
- 11:14Speaker 1: saying it's that big at the moment. Well, people are
- 11:16Speaker 1: calling Molly Mae the people's princess and that is what
- 11:18Speaker 1: Princess Diana used to be called. Well, I have to
- 11:21Speaker 1: reveal that I was actually on the toilet when I
- 11:23Speaker 1: found out this news. As most people do, I was scrolling.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I was just getting ready to go to bed. It
- 11:27Speaker 1: was about 12.30. Oh, God, this would have set you off.
- 11:30Speaker 1: And I saw this post appear on Tea Time and
- 11:33Speaker 1: I was like, oh, what's this about? It's about a breakup.
- 11:35Speaker 1: And I was like... holy fuck, is that St. Molly May?
- 11:38Speaker 1: I was like, no way. And my partner was in
- 11:40Speaker 1: the shower. I rushed in to tell him. He could
- 11:43Speaker 1: not care less, but I needed to talk to someone
- 11:46Speaker 1: about it. I quickly threw something up on our Instagram,
- 11:48Speaker 1: even though I was like, this is the dead of
- 11:50Speaker 1: the night. People won't be consuming this. But I was
- 11:52Speaker 1: surprised how many people were still up and how many
- 11:55Speaker 1: people were dying to talk about this. Well, I was
- 11:57Speaker 1: asleep and I woke up at 5.30 to this news
- 12:01Speaker 1: and I looked at my phone and it said there
- 12:03Speaker 1: were 38 people messenger notifications and I was like holy
- 12:06Speaker 1: shit what's gone down and I saw you know when
- 12:09Speaker 1: you scroll the messages up and only a few pop
- 12:11Speaker 1: up and it said Kate will be shocked when she
- 12:13Speaker 1: wakes up to find out this and I was like
- 12:16Speaker 1: oh my god what's happened who's died yes anyway I
- 12:20Speaker 1: can see why you thought I would be shocked I
- 12:21Speaker 1: was relieved it wasn't any sort of you know more
- 12:24Speaker 1: sinister news but this really did floor me yeah I
- 12:27Speaker 1: know it sounds lame to be invested in this couple
- 12:30Speaker 1: that you don't know But I bought into this so
- 12:33Speaker 1: hard because even though there's been rumours for the past
- 12:37Speaker 1: year about potential infidelity, I just think that they gave
- 12:42Speaker 1: off previously such wholesome couple vibes. And because I love
- 12:46Speaker 1: Molly so much, I wanted to believe that things were
- 12:50Speaker 1: fine at home with them. Well, I was devastated when
- 12:52Speaker 1: the recent series of Love Island ended because that was
- 12:55Speaker 1: my show. When I had, you know, an hour of
- 12:58Speaker 1: free time, that's what I was watching. So I have
- 13:00Speaker 1: started watching the Love Island series that Tommy and Molly
- 13:03Speaker 1: were on recently. And we're only a few episodes in,
- 13:06Speaker 1: but Tommy came in as one of the first bombshells.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And I just was watching it and I'm thinking, he
- 13:11Speaker 1: is just so nice because he's like, oh, everyone thinks
- 13:14Speaker 1: of me as this, you know, big boxer, but I'm
- 13:17Speaker 1: not like that. I love Hannah Montana. And, you know,
- 13:20Speaker 1: I remember watching their vlogs and thinking how perfect they
- 13:22Speaker 1: were together because He seemed to just get Molly. Yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 1: the fact they would play with those toys together. And
- 13:28Speaker 1: who gets Ellie Belly in this split? Well, Molly clearly does.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I think Molly gets everything in this split. I know
- 13:33Speaker 1: it sounds pathetic, but I couldn't fall asleep last night thinking, one,
- 13:37Speaker 1: how heartbroken Molly must be feeling. And two, how is
- 13:40Speaker 1: she coping with this in the public eye? Because not
- 13:44Speaker 1: only was this all over socials, but this announcement was
- 13:47Speaker 1: breaking news on BBC. And That sort of treatment is
- 13:51Speaker 1: usually reserved for A-listers or the royal family. Well, it's
- 13:54Speaker 1: also trending on TikTok at the moment. And I do
- 13:57Speaker 1: think we need to get into Molly's statement because it
- 14:00Speaker 1: speaks volumes. So she was the first to break the
- 14:03Speaker 1: news and she released a statement on her Instagram story,
- 14:06Speaker 1: which read, never in a million years did I think
- 14:09Speaker 1: I'd ever have to write this. After five years of
- 14:11Speaker 1: being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially
- 14:15Speaker 1: not this way. Molly May. This was so loaded. There
- 14:46Speaker 1: is so much to unpack here. I think the most
- 14:48Speaker 1: telling part of this statement is Molly saying, I never
- 14:52Speaker 1: imagined our story would end, especially not this way. Because
- 14:56Speaker 1: to me, this implies that a lot of shit has
- 14:59Speaker 1: gone down. Yes. This is not a we fell out
- 15:02Speaker 1: of love or we parted mutually. This comment suggests that
- 15:07Speaker 1: Tommy has fucked up and that there's cheating involved because
- 15:09Speaker 1: I do not think for a second that that Molly
- 15:12Speaker 1: Mae has done anything wrong. She's a fucking saint, that woman. Yeah,
- 15:16Speaker 1: and also the fact that she was the first to
- 15:18Speaker 1: break the news. It's not like her and Tommy released
- 15:20Speaker 1: the statement at the same time. Often when couples are
- 15:23Speaker 1: trying to push that this is a mutual thing, they'll
- 15:25Speaker 1: release the same statement and they'll talk quite glowingly about
- 15:28Speaker 1: each other. Particularly when the kids are involved, they'll sugarcoat
- 15:31Speaker 1: it and be like, we're still going to be a
- 15:33Speaker 1: family and we love and respect each other. It does
- 15:36Speaker 1: feel like her hand was forced in this situation and
- 15:38Speaker 1: she had to come out with this announcement quite quickly
- 15:41Speaker 1: because the timing is interesting. Her sister Zoe Haig's wedding
- 15:45Speaker 1: made big headlines a couple of weeks ago and she's
- 15:49Speaker 1: currently on her honeymoon. So you would think that you
- 15:52Speaker 1: might wait for your sister to be back, be a
- 15:54Speaker 1: support there for you. Also, I don't think she'd want
- 15:56Speaker 1: to impact her sister's honeymoon. She wouldn't want to ruin
- 15:59Speaker 1: that time for her because, you know, if I was
- 16:02Speaker 1: on my honeymoon and I found out that one of
- 16:04Speaker 1: you guys were going through this shock divorce and It
- 16:07Speaker 1: would dampen my time. I'd feel like I'd need to
- 16:09Speaker 1: rush back and be there with you. Yeah, it was
- 16:11Speaker 1: not a divorce. They actually haven't been married. Sorry, I
- 16:12Speaker 1: forget that they actually haven't been married. I just, yeah,
- 16:16Speaker 1: it'd be so tough to be facing this public scrutiny, though,
- 16:19Speaker 1: without your support based by your side. Now, bizarrely, hours
- 16:23Speaker 1: before Molly made her statement, Tommy shared a compilation of
- 16:27Speaker 1: old clips of the couple together on his Snapchat story
- 16:30Speaker 1: of all places. And in the vision, it showed them
- 16:34Speaker 1: on a holiday together when their daughter Bambi was very young.
- 16:37Speaker 1: It also portrayed Tommy as being this doting dad who
- 16:40Speaker 1: was very hands-on. And there was also vision of Molly
- 16:44Speaker 1: surprising Tommy with balloons after one of his big fights.
- 16:48Speaker 1: And there were also lots of shots of them hugging
- 16:50Speaker 1: and being all over each other. He also included vision
- 16:53Speaker 1: of him surprising Molly on her work trip last year
- 16:56Speaker 1: to celebrate their anniversary. It was almost like he was
- 16:59Speaker 1: trying to stop Molly from making this announcement public and
- 17:04Speaker 1: show her what she'd be missing if she does make
- 17:06Speaker 1: the announcement. Yeah, there seemed to be a lot of
- 17:09Speaker 1: emotional blackmail within that Snapchat compilation. He did end up
- 17:12Speaker 1: deleting it. And around an hour after Molly made her statement,
- 17:16Speaker 1: Tommy released his saying, I am heartbroken to share that
- 17:19Speaker 1: Molly and I have decided to end our relationship. The
- 17:22Speaker 1: past five years have led us to having our beautiful
- 17:24Speaker 1: baby girl, Bambi, and I'll be forever thankful to Molly
- 17:27Speaker 1: for making me a dad. Bambi is our priority. Please
- 17:30Speaker 1: respect our privacy and our family's privacy as we navigate
- 17:33Speaker 1: our way through this difficult time. Don't you think it
- 17:35Speaker 1: seems like he kind of copy and pasted Molly's? Yeah,
- 17:38Speaker 1: but fans have pointed out that there were some key
- 17:40Speaker 1: differences between the two statements because Tommy kept saying our
- 17:45Speaker 1: daughter whilst Molly was saying my daughter. And I also
- 17:50Speaker 1: thought it was interesting that Tommy started by saying that
- 17:52Speaker 1: he's heartbroken and He also tried to make it sound
- 17:55Speaker 1: like they'd come to this decision mutually, but it's clear
- 17:57Speaker 1: from Molly's statement they did not. To me, the couple's
- 18:00Speaker 1: social media activity also suggests that this breakup is happening
- 18:05Speaker 1: in real time because often celebrities will announce a breakup
- 18:09Speaker 1: to their followers once time has passed and once they've
- 18:12Speaker 1: had a bit of time to heal privately. But only
- 18:15Speaker 1: two weeks ago, Molly shared a post about the anniversary
- 18:18Speaker 1: of their engagement and referred to Tommy as the love
- 18:21Speaker 1: of her life. And also in early May at Zoe
- 18:25Speaker 1: Haig's wedding, Tommy also shared a photo of him and
- 18:28Speaker 1: Molly and Bambi and wrote my everything in a photo
- 18:32Speaker 1: to which Molly replied, love this pic so much. So
- 18:35Speaker 1: a lot has gone down in a couple of weeks.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 1: And I was only just watching Molly May's YouTube and
- 18:41Speaker 1: she put out a vlog recently and she did speak
- 18:44Speaker 1: about the fact that she was solo parenting. And she
- 18:47Speaker 1: had said that the reason why was because Tommy was
- 18:50Speaker 1: recording his audio book. Let's go to more of what
- 18:52Speaker 1: she said.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I have been solo parenting pretty much the entire week
- 18:58Speaker 2: and I should have been solo parenting for like two
- 19:01Speaker 2: weeks now basically because Tom has just been so busy
- 19:03Speaker 2: and when he's home from doing work and stuff like
- 19:05Speaker 2: he's so incredible and so helpful like I can't say
- 19:08Speaker 2: any different like he's such an incredible dad but I
- 19:10Speaker 2: have been this week like just really mum life has
- 19:15Speaker 2: been mum life thing and I know I say that
- 19:16Speaker 2: a lot but like I just feel like at the
- 19:18Speaker 2: minute I've been struggling a little bit.
- 19:20Speaker 1: And then during the vlog, she also mentioned that there
- 19:22Speaker 1: was a lot going on and that she had been
- 19:25Speaker 1: crying a lot. Let's throw to that.
- 19:28Speaker 2: So much going on in my life right now. If
- 19:30Speaker 2: I had a pound for every time I'd say that,
- 19:31Speaker 2: I'd be a quadrillionaire. The crying fit that I had
- 19:35Speaker 2: because I was having a really stressful day and it
- 19:36Speaker 2: just completely tipped me over the edge. And I was like,
- 19:38Speaker 2: you know what? This is not my week. I need
- 19:41Speaker 2: to do a really big Q & A just to
- 19:43Speaker 2: catch you all up on life and explain everything that's
- 19:45Speaker 2: going on. So yeah, hopefully I will see you in
- 19:47Speaker 2: that video.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Bye. She just looks so broken in this clip. You
- 19:52Speaker 1: know when someone's trying to put on a brave face?
- 19:55Speaker 1: but you can just tell beneath it they are so
- 19:58Speaker 1: like dead behind the eyes, so sad. Yeah. There's just
- 20:01Speaker 1: a real feeling that Molly had to act quickly with
- 20:04Speaker 1: this announcement as though she'd found something out or something
- 20:07Speaker 1: was going to hit the press soon and she needed
- 20:09Speaker 1: to get in first. Well, there is a rumour on
- 20:12Speaker 1: TikTok that is gaining a lot of momentum and that
- 20:16Speaker 1: rumour is, and I want to redact just a rumour,
- 20:19Speaker 1: that Tommy has impregnated a boxing trainer's daughter. Now, the
- 20:23Speaker 1: woman in question is 22-year-old Lisey Rhodes, and she gave
- 20:27Speaker 1: birth to a baby just days ago. Now, she has
- 20:31Speaker 1: not revealed on social media who the father is, and
- 20:34Speaker 1: by the looks of it, it looks like she's been
- 20:36Speaker 1: doing it on her own. It's a baby boy, which
- 20:39Speaker 1: also hurts because Tommy wanted a boy initially. Now, the
- 20:43Speaker 1: reason that this rumor is gaining so much traction on
- 20:46Speaker 1: TikTok is because people are convinced that that she was
- 20:50Speaker 1: one of the women partying with Tommy and Chris Brown
- 20:53Speaker 1: in Dubai. So if you cast your minds back to
- 20:56Speaker 1: nine months ago, Tommy was spotted in a nightclub with
- 21:00Speaker 1: an unidentified girl and Chris Brown. It was so bizarre.
- 21:04Speaker 1: So he was seen in a video getting really close
- 21:07Speaker 1: to this woman and the girl squeezed his face before
- 21:10Speaker 1: he turned his head away and laughed. Now, it's not
- 21:14Speaker 1: this woman in the clip that Lacey looks like, but
- 21:16Speaker 1: another woman standing next to him. So they've taken a screenshot.
- 21:20Speaker 1: I'm not convinced that it's the same woman, but they
- 21:23Speaker 1: both have blonde hair. Well, people think that the woman
- 21:25Speaker 1: that squeezed Tommy Fury's face is Lisey's sister, Ellie. Now,
- 21:31Speaker 1: Tommy actually follows Ellie on social media. Yeah, well, the
- 21:35Speaker 1: Furies and the Rhodes are linked together because they're both
- 21:37Speaker 1: in the boxing world. And there's also a rumour going
- 21:41Speaker 1: that there's been a DNA test on this baby and
- 21:44Speaker 1: that's why the shit is hitting the fan now because
- 21:46Speaker 1: potentially maybe Tommy was saying, no, this baby is not mine.
- 21:50Speaker 1: This is all a rumor. I've got nothing to do
- 21:52Speaker 1: with it. Well, as you can imagine, Lacey's social media
- 21:55Speaker 1: has been absolutely flooded with comments. She's actually set her
- 21:58Speaker 1: Instagram to private, but her TikTok is still very public.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Some of the comments she's been copying are, deny Tommy
- 22:04Speaker 1: Fury isn't your baby daddy before I pop. I did
- 22:07Speaker 1: also see a comment that someone wrote, which I think
- 22:09Speaker 1: won the internet for today. It said, I'm Tommy furious.
- 22:14Speaker 1: People have also been tagging their friends saying, This is
- 22:17Speaker 1: apparently Tommy Fury's prego mistress and saying, sis, we need
- 22:21Speaker 1: the tea. Now I feel very sorry for Lisey if
- 22:24Speaker 1: this actually has nothing to do with her because we
- 22:27Speaker 1: have to remember that this is a woman who has
- 22:29Speaker 1: just given birth days ago and this sort of attention
- 22:32Speaker 1: would be so awful, particularly if you legitimately had nothing
- 22:36Speaker 1: to do with it. What I want to know is
- 22:38Speaker 1: how does a rumor like this get so out of control?
- 22:41Speaker 1: Because it always makes me think where there's smoke, there's
- 22:44Speaker 1: fire and someone obviously has come out of the woodwork
- 22:47Speaker 1: because would this really be attracting that much attention if
- 22:50Speaker 1: it wasn't true? I don't know. I potentially think it's
- 22:52Speaker 1: just one of those TikTok rumours that has gone too far.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Someone has probably trawled through every single person that Tommy
- 22:58Speaker 1: Fury has been following and is trying to draw this
- 23:01Speaker 1: connection with the sister. I'm hoping it's not true. I
- 23:05Speaker 1: think that one of the reasons people are assuming this
- 23:07Speaker 1: breakup has something to do with cheating and also Tommy
- 23:10Speaker 1: Fury's partying is because in Molly Mae's memoir, She said
- 23:14Speaker 1: that drinking was one of the problems that plagued their relationship.
- 23:18Speaker 1: So she has spoken out about the fact that she
- 23:20Speaker 1: doesn't really like to drink. She doesn't like clubbing and
- 23:23Speaker 1: she doesn't like what alcohol does to people. And one
- 23:27Speaker 1: of the first questions that Molly actually asked Tommy when
- 23:29Speaker 1: they met on Love Island is whether he drunk. Now
- 23:32Speaker 1: in her book, she wrote the only major arguments Tommy
- 23:35Speaker 1: and I have had have been to do with him drinking.
- 23:37Speaker 1: which he only does a few times a year. He
- 23:40Speaker 1: won't even do anything wrong. I'll just lose it at
- 23:42Speaker 1: him because I hate it. I do have this anxiety
- 23:45Speaker 1: around alcohol and the things I've seen it do to
- 23:48Speaker 1: the people around me. I personally don't think that alcohol
- 23:51Speaker 1: adds anything good to a situation. Now, this is also
- 23:54Speaker 1: followed up by the fact that in a YouTube video
- 23:57Speaker 1: last year, Molly said that she began to fear that
- 24:00Speaker 1: Tommy was cheating on her because he started to hide
- 24:02Speaker 1: his phone and And if my memory serves me correctly,
- 24:05Speaker 1: this is because he was actually planning to propose to Molly.
- 24:07Speaker 1: So he had all of this going on in the background,
- 24:09Speaker 1: all the planning. So she said, my mind did somersaults.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I thought, why is he being shady about his phone?
- 24:15Speaker 1: Who is he talking to? My mind went to the
- 24:17Speaker 1: worst option. I was staring out the window like I
- 24:20Speaker 1: was in a sad movie. On the engagement, I'm always
- 24:23Speaker 1: sus on couples, particularly those in the public eye that
- 24:27Speaker 1: are so over the top with things. And that proposal
- 24:29Speaker 1: was extremely over the top. And every time there's Valentine's
- 24:33Speaker 1: Day or a birthday or any sort of special moment
- 24:35Speaker 1: in this couple's lives. They have always celebrated to the
- 24:39Speaker 1: extreme and shared a lot about it on social media.
- 24:42Speaker 1: I think that comes down to them being rich though. No,
- 24:44Speaker 1: but I also think in real life, those couples that
- 24:47Speaker 1: you see being so over the top on social media,
- 24:50Speaker 1: often the ones that are having issues. And in terms
- 24:52Speaker 1: of red flags in this relationship, I think Tommy's upbringing
- 24:56Speaker 1: has actually a lot to play in this relationship breakdown.
- 24:59Speaker 1: So he is a traveller. And he has spoken about
- 25:02Speaker 1: how he wants a lot of kids and also he
- 25:06Speaker 1: didn't actually want to educate Bambi. So I don't know
- 25:09Speaker 1: if you– you watched Tommy Fury's Brothers Doco. I watched
- 25:11Speaker 1: a bit of it because– In traveller families, typically if
- 25:16Speaker 1: you're a girl, you leave school very early and you
- 25:19Speaker 1: train to be a homemaker. Yeah. And Molly was very
- 25:22Speaker 1: against that and she was also against having a large
- 25:26Speaker 1: number of children. She only wanted to have two. Recently
- 25:28Speaker 1: she was speaking about how she might be open to
- 25:30Speaker 1: having a second baby. So this would be even more
- 25:32Speaker 1: heartbreaking for her. Yeah, but that doco, Tyson Fury's doco
- 25:36Speaker 1: that was very popular on Netflix, I think it was
- 25:38Speaker 1: last year, like late last year, you got a real
- 25:40Speaker 1: insight into what the Fury family are actually like. Now,
- 25:44Speaker 1: I don't think Tyson Fury came across as that nice.
- 25:47Speaker 1: His wife, Paris, she's had 10 of his kids. She
- 25:52Speaker 1: very much just rushed around after him and I think
- 25:56Speaker 1: that Tommy would look at that relationship and it always
- 25:58Speaker 1: made me think, was that what he wants from Molly Mae? Yeah,
- 26:01Speaker 1: there's speculation also that Tyson Fury has been unfaithful to
- 26:05Speaker 1: his partner. I don't know if that's been proven or not.
- 26:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:08Speaker 1: But I also think it was quite telling in her
- 26:11Speaker 1: vlogs because Tommy has always been MIA, particularly since Bambi
- 26:16Speaker 1: was born. I mean, his fight with Jake Paul seemed
- 26:20Speaker 1: to trump the fact that he just had a newborn.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I also think the fact that they hadn't set a
- 26:23Speaker 1: date for the wedding or one that we'd heard about,
- 26:26Speaker 1: I initially thought maybe they were trying to be mindful
- 26:29Speaker 1: of the fact that Zoe was coming up and Molly
- 26:31Speaker 1: didn't want to steal her thunder, which is why it's
- 26:33Speaker 1: so sad because I thought maybe we'd start seeing hen's
- 26:36Speaker 1: party videos of Molly and a look into her planning
- 26:40Speaker 1: because I'm sure behind the scenes, she's probably been looking
- 26:42Speaker 1: at dresses and, you know, she's probably locked in a location.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I do wonder how this is going to play out
- 26:48Speaker 1: on Molly's social media, particularly on YouTube, because she is
- 26:51Speaker 1: very open with her YouTube audience. And while it appears
- 26:56Speaker 1: that Molly was trying to be quite pointed in her
- 26:58Speaker 1: statement and say something has happened, I think that those
- 27:01Speaker 1: are just her emotions coming out. But I think when
- 27:04Speaker 1: push comes to shove, she's not going to come out
- 27:06Speaker 1: and say what's happened. because I think she is the
- 27:09Speaker 1: type of person that will want to protect her child's father. Yeah.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Molly May is one of those people who doesn't go
- 27:15Speaker 1: into the gutter. She'll throw out a few hints here
- 27:19Speaker 1: and there, but she doesn't like to get murky with it,
- 27:21Speaker 1: which is something I do respect about her. But in
- 27:24Speaker 1: saying that, if there is another party involved, potentially we're
- 27:27Speaker 1: going to be hearing their side of the story. Yeah.
- 27:29Speaker 1: And I think that's why these statements have come out,
- 27:31Speaker 1: because I think something is about to break. We are
- 27:34Speaker 1: recording this on Thursday afternoon. So Who knows what's going
- 27:37Speaker 1: to happen overnight? As predicted, there is an update to
- 27:40Speaker 1: this story since we've recorded. Apologies for the quality of
- 27:44Speaker 1: this audio. I am recording on voice memos at 10
- 27:47Speaker 1: o'clock at night. Now, the woman accused of having Tommy
- 27:50Speaker 1: Fury's baby has denied the claims. Lacey Rhodes responded to
- 27:54Speaker 1: a TikTok comment writing, Tommy Fury is not my baby's dad.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Her father also came to her defense, slamming the claims
- 28:02Speaker 1: on his Instagram story. He shared a family photo of
- 28:05Speaker 1: his daughter with her son's real baby daddy, captioning the photo,
- 28:09Speaker 1: happy families. He then said this.
- 28:11Speaker 4: It's 10 to 7 and I'm on my way to
- 28:14Speaker 4: the gym and I can't believe what I'm reading. I
- 28:17Speaker 4: can't believe it. The speculation, the hearsay, tickle tackle. Guys,
- 28:23Speaker 4: Lise and Barry and Ashok are so happy. So happy.
- 28:29Speaker 4: We've got a life.
- 28:31Speaker 1: You need to get one.
- 28:32Speaker 4: Let's have it.
- 28:33Speaker 1: After hearing that, I really feel for Lisey and her family,
- 28:36Speaker 1: particularly because she has just had a baby. This is
- 28:39Speaker 1: supposed to be a really exciting and happy moment for
- 28:41Speaker 1: the family. But unfortunately, I think that this witch hunt
- 28:45Speaker 1: is going to continue. There is an insatiable thirst for
- 28:48Speaker 1: people to find out why this couple really broke up.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I wonder whether this will encourage Molly Mae to come
- 28:53Speaker 1: forward in the next couple of weeks and put any
- 28:55Speaker 1: of these rumors to bed.
- 28:57Speaker 4: Ma'am, have a good day.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Bye, Bams. We're going to miss you today. TikToker Indie
- 29:03Speaker 1: Clinton has hired a sleep nurse for her daughter Bambi,
- 29:07Speaker 1: saying her sanity needed it after experiencing months of broken sleep. Now,
- 29:12Speaker 1: I'm new to this whole baby world with the UK,
- 29:15Speaker 1: but I had never heard of a sleep nurse before,
- 29:17Speaker 1: and I had no idea that they actually spend the
- 29:20Speaker 1: night at your house. and provide such a hands-on experience. Well,
- 29:24Speaker 1: it sounds like a great idea to me. I am
- 29:26Speaker 1: eight weeks into sleep deprivation. And when I saw Indy
- 29:29Speaker 1: talking about this, I was like, how much does this cost?
- 29:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Well, you're following the Dr. Golley method at the moment,
- 29:35Speaker 1: and he is a pediatrician and he's written a very
- 29:38Speaker 1: popular sleep training book. It's like your Bible at the moment.
- 29:41Speaker 1: And This nurse that Indy Clinton has invited in, she
- 29:44Speaker 1: seems to follow the same sort of process. So she
- 29:47Speaker 1: has a book, but she also offers this service where
- 29:50Speaker 1: she can come into your house and spend a couple
- 29:52Speaker 1: of nights there. Well, this sleep nurse seems to be
- 29:54Speaker 1: working absolute wonders because apparently Bambi got 11 hours of
- 29:58Speaker 1: sleep the first night that she was there. And by
- 30:01Speaker 1: night two, Indy was singing her absolute praises, even sharing
- 30:05Speaker 1: this on her Instagram story. We've had the most beautiful
- 30:07Speaker 1: sleep nurse come in and just take over. I was
- 30:10Speaker 1: worried Bambi would be a nightmare at 22 months and
- 30:12Speaker 1: unable to train back to old habits, but the sleep
- 30:15Speaker 1: nurse is so gentle with her approach and consistent and firm,
- 30:18Speaker 1: which we weren't. Now, by the end of night three,
- 30:21Speaker 1: Indy wrote, can confirm she's a changed little lady and
- 30:25Speaker 1: bedtime isn't a fight anymore. Just read her a book,
- 30:27Speaker 1: pop it into her cot and walk out. Is it
- 30:30Speaker 1: just me or is three nights a little bit too
- 30:32Speaker 1: early to be calling it? Maybe, but I also think
- 30:34Speaker 1: that Indy probably didn't want to pay more for this
- 30:37Speaker 1: service because she pointed out that this hasn't been gifted
- 30:40Speaker 1: to her. It's not sponsored. She has paid for it.
- 30:43Speaker 1: And I immediately ran to this website to see how
- 30:46Speaker 1: much this costs because the company is called Swoop Baby Co.
- 30:49Speaker 1: And Indy said she found it through her sister-in-law who
- 30:52Speaker 1: recommended her. So for Indy to have this sleep nurse
- 30:55Speaker 1: there for three days from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.,
- 30:58Speaker 1: it cost her $ 3, 200. Oh my God.
- 31:02Speaker 3: What?
- 31:03Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, to have her there for five nights, that
- 31:05Speaker 1: would have cost her $ 5, 000. And for just the one night,
- 31:09Speaker 1: it's $ 800. So it is pretty X-y. But in saying that,
- 31:13Speaker 1: what amount of money do you put on your sleep? Well,
- 31:16Speaker 1: I mean, I would love to be getting a lot
- 31:18Speaker 1: of sleep right now, but I couldn't afford $ 3, 200 for
- 31:21Speaker 1: three nights of sleep training. I mean, I thought Dr.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Golley's course was quite expensive. That's a couple of hundred
- 31:26Speaker 1: bucks just for the guide. I have so many questions
- 31:29Speaker 1: around the logistics of this because as a sleep nurse,
- 31:33Speaker 1: when you rock up, you're supposed to be there from
- 31:35Speaker 1: 6pm to 6am. Where do you sit? Do you just
- 31:38Speaker 1: sit outside the kid's room? Do you make yourself comfortable?
- 31:40Speaker 1: And also, where do the parents go? Because clearly they
- 31:44Speaker 1: want to be out of the sight of the child
- 31:46Speaker 1: because the child will ignore the nurse and go to
- 31:49Speaker 1: them instead. Well, as you can imagine, my TikTok at
- 31:51Speaker 1: the moment, the algorithm is just sending me newborn content,
- 31:54Speaker 1: motherhood stuff. And I've come across these videos of these
- 31:57Speaker 1: postnatal doulas. So it's a little bit different to a
- 32:00Speaker 1: sleep trainer. And it's someone you bring in to feed
- 32:03Speaker 1: your baby and essentially do the night shift for you.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Is that like the old school version of a wet nurse? Yeah,
- 32:08Speaker 1: except they're not actually breastfeeding. They're feeding with express milk. Oh,
- 32:10Speaker 1: I thought you meant they actually breastfed. I was like, geez.
- 32:14Speaker 4: No, no.
- 32:14Speaker 1: So it's just someone like you've got either formula or
- 32:17Speaker 1: express bottles and they take the shift for you overnight.
- 32:20Speaker 1: So you get a night's sleep. And I had similar
- 32:23Speaker 1: questions because at one point in one of the videos,
- 32:26Speaker 1: Their doula had to go knock on the parents' door
- 32:29Speaker 1: and get the mum to express some milk. And I'm like,
- 32:31Speaker 1: how does that go? Like, what's the conversation? Like, do
- 32:33Speaker 1: you come into the room? And in the comments, people
- 32:36Speaker 1: were discussing it. And one of the doulas actually commented
- 32:38Speaker 1: saying it can get quite awkward because she's gone into
- 32:41Speaker 1: one of the mother's rooms and the husband's forgot to
- 32:44Speaker 1: put pyjamas on or husband has come out in his
- 32:47Speaker 1: jocks and forgotten that she's there. Well, maybe that's why
- 32:50Speaker 1: they're getting paid so much because of these awkward moments.
- 32:53Speaker 4: Exchanges.
- 32:53Speaker 1: These people aren't getting paid as much. So I think
- 32:55Speaker 1: it was about, someone said between $ 300 and $ 500 a night. Wow.
- 33:00Speaker 1: They need to up their prices. Well, that's a lot
- 33:02Speaker 1: more affordable if you think about it. I mean, again,
- 33:04Speaker 1: I still could not afford that, but maybe for a
- 33:08Speaker 1: baby shower, that's a great idea. Everyone put money together
- 33:11Speaker 1: and get someone a doula overnight. Surely it's confusing for
- 33:15Speaker 1: the child though, because they're like, who is this stranger? Well,
- 33:17Speaker 1: it kind of reminds me of that show The Supernanny.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Do you remember Jo Frost? Oh, yeah, like the one
- 33:21Speaker 1: who did The Naughty Spot. Yeah, so she was great.
- 33:24Speaker 1: She'd come in and she would tell all the kids
- 33:26Speaker 1: off and implement all these rules and then they'd come
- 33:29Speaker 1: back like six months later and a lot of the
- 33:31Speaker 1: time the kids were still misbehaving. Yeah, it was the parents' fault. Yeah,
- 33:35Speaker 1: so I do wonder what is going to happen after
- 33:37Speaker 1: three nights of the training. Is Bambi going to go
- 33:39Speaker 1: back to her ways? Let's get into our highs and
- 33:42Speaker 1: lows of the week and I'm going to kick it
- 33:43Speaker 1: off with my high. And that is that McDonald's is
- 33:47Speaker 1: giving away collector's glasses again. Oh, I haven't seen this. Yeah.
- 33:51Speaker 1: So they used to run this promotion in line with
- 33:53Speaker 1: the Olympics, but now that they're no longer a sponsor,
- 33:56Speaker 1: they have kicked it off straight after the games, which
- 33:58Speaker 1: I thought was interesting. And I love it because there's
- 34:01Speaker 1: six different glasses that you can collect and they all
- 34:05Speaker 1: feature different eras of McDonald's. So there's a Barbie one,
- 34:07Speaker 1: there's a Hello Kitty one and a Shrek one. Do
- 34:10Speaker 1: they have a Snoopy one? Because I vividly remember, I
- 34:13Speaker 1: think I was around 12. And they had this Snoopy series.
- 34:17Speaker 1: It was like around the world was Snoopy. And each
- 34:19Speaker 1: week it was a different Snoopy. I think I got
- 34:21Speaker 1: the Irish one and you got one. Oh, it was
- 34:23Speaker 1: the best giveaway. They do have a Snoopy one. But
- 34:26Speaker 1: I don't know if you can like, I don't think
- 34:28Speaker 1: you can pick which one you get. You sort of
- 34:29Speaker 1: get given one. I just feel like these glasses are
- 34:33Speaker 1: a staple in every 90s kid's kitchen cupboard though. Because
- 34:36Speaker 1: like even at family dinner, mum and dad still pull
- 34:38Speaker 1: out the Olympics ones. This is just giving me the
- 34:41Speaker 1: best excuse to get Maccas this weekend because I haven't
- 34:45Speaker 1: had it since I gave birth to Jack eight weeks ago.
- 34:48Speaker 1: So it was actually my pre-caesarean meal. So the night
- 34:51Speaker 1: before I knew I was having him, I was like,
- 34:53Speaker 1: what do I get to eat? And I actually Googled
- 34:56Speaker 1: like what's a good meal to have? Would it be
- 34:58Speaker 1: bad to have a greasy meal? And people were like,
- 35:00Speaker 1: just get what you want. So that was delightful. Well,
- 35:02Speaker 1: the thing is you have to order a quarter pounder meal,
- 35:05Speaker 1: which I feel like McDonald's knows me too well because
- 35:08Speaker 1: that is my go-to order, a quarter pounder meal. I've
- 35:10Speaker 1: never had a quarter pounder. Oh, my God. It is
- 35:12Speaker 1: so good. So I think I heard because we often
- 35:14Speaker 1: put up like people send us in what your go-to
- 35:17Speaker 1: order is and someone said to try it. So I
- 35:19Speaker 1: have it. It has to be with a steamed bun.
- 35:22Speaker 1: I get the meat removed and I get a hash
- 35:23Speaker 1: brown put in. It is fucking good. Obviously have to
- 35:26Speaker 1: have sweet and sour sauce. And it's so funny because
- 35:28Speaker 1: my husband knows my weird order from memory now because
- 35:31Speaker 1: he's always driving to get takeaway. And I just love
- 35:34Speaker 1: watching him recite it so confidently at the box. I
- 35:37Speaker 1: think we should point out that we are vegetarian because
- 35:39Speaker 1: a lot of people are like, hang on, why am
- 35:40Speaker 1: I removing the meat from a quarter pounder? Yes. Now
- 35:43Speaker 1: my low of the week is that I am still
- 35:47Speaker 1: in the process of selling my old car. So if
- 35:50Speaker 1: anyone is looking for a Mazda, please hit me up.
- 35:53Speaker 1: It was a great car. My car is actually called
- 35:56Speaker 1: Conrad after Lauren Conrad. And sadly, I was actually almost
- 36:00Speaker 1: too embarrassed to point this out on the podcast, but
- 36:01Speaker 1: I feel like it is quite telling now that we've
- 36:03Speaker 1: had the Molly Mae story. But I have named my
- 36:05Speaker 1: new car Molly Mae. Well, Amy's rabbit is called Tommy
- 36:09Speaker 1: after Tommy Fury. Anyway, but, yes, so I'm in the
- 36:13Speaker 1: process of trying to sell my car. I should have
- 36:16Speaker 1: just traded it in and listened to everyone, but I
- 36:18Speaker 1: thought I'm going to get a better deal if I
- 36:20Speaker 1: sell it privately. And now I'm like, fuck, I've got this–
- 36:24Speaker 1: And now I'm like, fuck, because I got a letter.
- 36:26Speaker 1: I've got to register it for the next three months. Again,
- 36:29Speaker 1: I'm going to get the fucking insurance in the mail soon.
- 36:31Speaker 1: And it's just too difficult. Look, I hate to say it,
- 36:34Speaker 1: but I told you to trade it in. It's such
- 36:36Speaker 1: a hassle. Maybe I'll just have to take it on
- 36:38Speaker 1: the weekend. So I'm going to just take this off
- 36:40Speaker 1: my hands. Kate, what about you? I feel like you
- 36:42Speaker 1: must have a high and a low saved up. Well,
- 36:44Speaker 1: I'll do just this week because the last eight weeks
- 36:46Speaker 1: are a little bit hazy. So we had an absolute
- 36:49Speaker 1: breakthrough last night. Last night, Jack slept through the night.
- 36:53Speaker 1: He dropped one of his night feeds. And as we
- 36:56Speaker 1: mentioned earlier in the podcast, I have been doing the Dr.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Golly sleep guide, and I would highly recommend it because,
- 37:02Speaker 1: so in his guide, he kind of makes a little
- 37:05Speaker 1: promise that your baby will be sleeping through the night
- 37:07Speaker 1: at six weeks. And from the get-go, Rhys and I
- 37:11Speaker 1: were like, it's okay, just get to six weeks. But
- 37:13Speaker 1: there is a little bit of an asterisk. It's supposed
- 37:16Speaker 1: to be six weeks, but your baby has to be
- 37:18Speaker 1: five to six kilos in order for you to try
- 37:20Speaker 1: and drop this night feed. So we got Jack Wade
- 37:24Speaker 1: the other day at CAFS and which is like a
- 37:26Speaker 1: nursing program here in South Australia. And he had put
- 37:30Speaker 1: on 600 grams in two weeks and he was 5.2 kilos,
- 37:33Speaker 1: which was very exciting. They're very happy with how he's going.
- 37:37Speaker 1: And we were like, perfect, let's try it out. So
- 37:40Speaker 1: on Tuesday night, we tried it. He woke up at
- 37:43Speaker 1: 3am crying and then I had to feed him and
- 37:45Speaker 1: then he wouldn't, he didn't want to go back to sleep.
- 37:47Speaker 1: So that was a bit of a fail. So last
- 37:49Speaker 1: night I was like, oh, do we try it or
- 37:50Speaker 1: do I just wake up and start reducing the amount
- 37:53Speaker 1: of milk that he's having in that stage? Anyway, I
- 37:56Speaker 1: kept waking up. He wasn't awake. He got to 5.30.
- 37:59Speaker 1: So he slept from 11 p.m. to 5.30. That's pretty good.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I had to get up and pump because my boobs
- 38:04Speaker 1: were absolutely, felt like they were about to explode. But
- 38:06Speaker 1: it was an absolute win. Who knows what's going to
- 38:08Speaker 1: happen tonight? But it's just good to know that he
- 38:11Speaker 1: can actually do it. So I was very proud. It
- 38:13Speaker 1: was a very proud moment for me. My low of
- 38:17Speaker 1: the week, again, I'm just sounding like I'm absolutely obsessed
- 38:19Speaker 1: with my son, but it has been my life for
- 38:23Speaker 1: the last eight weeks. Just everything is focused on him.
- 38:26Speaker 1: So my low would be that he had a vaccination
- 38:29Speaker 1: yesterday and for his six weeks vaccinations, Rhys actually held
- 38:34Speaker 1: him while he got his injections because I was getting
- 38:36Speaker 1: checked out by the doctor. So he said this time
- 38:39Speaker 1: I had to hold him and it was quite heartbreaking
- 38:41Speaker 1: seeing his little face just burst into tears. So that
- 38:44Speaker 1: was very sad, but I'm glad that's all done. I'm
- 38:47Speaker 1: surprised your high this week isn't being back on the
- 38:49Speaker 1: podcast because you said you've been raring to go. You've
- 38:51Speaker 1: been missing it. Well, I already thought that was just
- 38:53Speaker 1: a given. Yeah, true. Well, I think that is all
- 38:56Speaker 1: we have time for today. This has been a big
- 38:58Speaker 1: Friday episode. If you have enjoyed today's show, could you
- 39:01Speaker 1: please make sure you are subscribed on Apple Podcasts and
- 39:04Speaker 1: also Spotify and leave us a five-star review. I would
- 39:07Speaker 1: also love to see where people are listening from. I
- 39:09Speaker 1: think we need to start that up again. So if
- 39:11Speaker 1: you are going through McDonald's and getting your nostalgic glass. Oh, please.
- 39:16Speaker 1: And also let us know if you're stoked about them
- 39:18Speaker 1: like me because it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I don't know what's wrong with me. Again, just another
- 39:22Speaker 1: excuse to go there. Now, this episode was recorded on
- 39:25Speaker 1: the traditional land of the ghana people of the adelaide
- 39:27Speaker 1: plains we pay respect to elders past and present
