- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville, Jaguar's fans, welcome into Duval, daily presented by Jinjag.com.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Luda.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think so much for being here Thursday, May 14th, excited for schedule release day across the NFL.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, the schedule will be officially announced for the entire NFL at 8 p.m. this evening.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: We're about 12 hours away as of this recording.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: We do know a couple of things about the Jaguar schedule already.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get into that.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: We'll just kind of preview the schedule release here.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: Talk about, you know, the home games are to the away games.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: Two tough games being in London, strength of schedule.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: When the buy might be, how many prime 10 games there will be, all this type of stuff.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: Excited to get into it.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate you all being here.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll just check out jingjag.com.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: Pick up some new dooval gear like that.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm wearing right now.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll just hit that high button, helps out a ton.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: And so right now we're previewing the schedule.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: Later on, we will do a pre-schedule release prediction for the Jaguar's record.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then tomorrow we'll kind of have some reactions and we'll also do a post schedule release record prediction.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to be very prediction heavy over the next couple days in terms of the Jaguar's record and it's going to be very scheduled oriented.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: That is just the timing year we're in.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: The NFL makes sure it is a year-round business and right now.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: everybody is fired up and anxiously anticipating the schedule release.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all being here once again.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: So Jaguar schedule right now, we know week five versus the Eagles in London.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: That's technically a home game at Tottenham Hotzburg Stadium.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: Usually as I told y'all yesterday, when the Jaguar has played at Tottenham, it is in a way game.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: Wimbly is their home base if you will in London.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: But they took a 231 international game from the Jaguar schedule, placed it into the 226 schedule, removed it from the 231 season.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: So the Jaguars do not have a commitment in 231 to play an international game, whether or not they will, remains to be seen.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars currently have a year to year basis deal with the NFL regarding having that annual London home game, once the new home stadium.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: is completed or whatever you want to call it, stadium of the future is completed in 2028 while the Jaguar's continued playing home games in London.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: At all, don't know that remains to be seen, but the Jaguars, they are hosting technically the Eagles in London.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: I consider that a neutral site game.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: I also consider a neutral site game the next week where the Jaguar's host, the Texans in London in week six at Wimbly Stadium.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: So you have six true home games.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: out of an 18 game slate, six true home games.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty difficult, Pilda Swallow.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: I know that from a, you know, fan perspective overall, it's not the best situation there, but.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's for a greater long-term goal, which, again, is the stating with a future that is going to get done.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: The Jack was going to be locked in for 30 years in Jacksonville, sustainability has arrived for the Jack Wars in terms of being able to stay in Jacksonville, and that is the biggest takeaway there.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: But when you're just talking about 2026 competitiveness, which I expect the Jack Wars to internally believe they are a Super Bowl contender this year, and I think that they
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: Six true home games is difficult, right?
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: And this is a season in which the AFC is hosting eight normal home games, regular season home games, and having nine away games where the NFC is having nine home games and eight away games.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: So it just came on a season where you're having two home London games.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: on a season where you also only would have had eight true home games anyways, so they have six true home games, two neutral sight games, and nine true away games.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: The two toughest home opponents that the Jaguars have, they are going to be facing in London, which I don't think is advantageous at all.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: And again, this is not doom and gloom, this is just real.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like having to play the Eagles in London versus the Eagles in Jacksonville, much different ballgame.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: You got to remember last year.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar had a good away record that a good record at home as well.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: But when you go back and look at the way they played at home versus the way they played on the road, they were much more consistent at home in 2025.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: So, I think that, and obviously, they got the breaks beat off of them in London last year, by the ramps.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't expect that to happen again this year.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think they'll be more prepared for it.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: Better prepared for it.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: They're a better football team than they were entering that game last year.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: But make no mistake about it.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: They're two toughest home opponents are going to be played in London.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: Don't get to see the Texans in Jacksonville this year.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: Don't get to see the Eagles in Jacksonville this year.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of Jacksonans don't want to see Eagles fans anyways because they can be a little bit obnoxious.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: We'll put it that way.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: According to, you know, strength of schedule on paper, the Jaguars currently have the 15th easiest strength of schedule.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: So it's right there in the middle.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: There's really no takeaway from that other than it's not one of the easiest schedules and it's not one of the hardest schedules on paper.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really believe in on paper because teams change from season to season.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: right like teams that were horrible last year might not be as good teams that were great last year or excuse me teams that were horrible last year might not be very uh might be much better and teams that were good last year might not be very good so like thanks change across the NFL year to year it is definitely a year to year league so I don't take much away from the strength of schedule on paper at this point um based on the 2020-25 schedule.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: Now I do have some predictions.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is, you know, we'll start off with the easy one, week seven by, after London, the Jaguar is requested a week seven by, after their London trip.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: So that would mean 11 straight weeks of regular season football to close out the season.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: That is a long stretch.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, obviously, if you split the season in half, it would be basically,
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: after week eight or after week nine so week seven is just a little bit early in that regard but overall I don't think that that would necessarily be a negative what the Jaguars requested again trying to get that week seven by I just think it does leave you with a lot of football ahead following that by week again 11 straight games.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm predicting three prime time games for the Jaguars which would mean
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: five total games where the Jaguars are the only show in town in the NFL, the Jaguars in their opponent, right?
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: Because you have the two London games, those are the only games on at that time, and then you have the three prime time games, which I'm predicting, you know, one piece of Thursday night football, Sunday night football, Monday night football.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: five games where the Jaguars the eye of the NFL is on them.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: My guess for those games is Broncos bears Patriots and the Jaguars play the Patriots at home.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: They play the Broncos and the Bears away so that would be one home.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: prime time game two away prime time games and of course those two London games were the jaguars are the apple of the eye in the NFL So at least two instances as well another prediction where three of four games will be away from Jacksonville and that could include those London games, right?
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: That is away from Jacksonville
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: So that might be like an inevitability, just based on the fact that the Jaguar has have six games in Jacksonville and 11 games away from Jacksonville, they're going to have a lot of stretches of football where they do not see Jacksonville very often.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: And that's just, it's difficult to operate that way.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's a challenge.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying they can't rise to that challenge, but it is a challenge nonetheless.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I'm predicting no holiday games, you know, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Eve is a Thursday night, uh, Christmas.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm predicting no holiday games with Jaguars.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if they've officially announced all the holiday games yet, but I don't think the Jaguars will get one.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's just normally reserved for the more.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the kind of older franchise is more established franchises and the league as my opinion.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think on paper, just looking at this schedule, that half of the games look extremely challenging and the other half look very winnable in my opinion.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: There's a couple games that I think you could argue either way.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: I personally don't think the commanders look like a great team on paper.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of that, though, how difficult that game is going to be is how well can they set up Jaden Daniels for success or not, right?
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: And then I think Steelers, you could argue either way, but unless they do something at quarterback, I'm out.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: The Browns are a rebuilding team, so that doesn't look like a tough game.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: The Giants are a rebuilding team.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: You can make arguments, maybe they'll be better than you expect, but I still think the Jaguars are good, but ahead of them.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: The Titans two times are a rebuilding team.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't believe in the Colts and Daniel Jones two times, right?
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: So that is That's nine games right there where I think that the Jaguars should easily be favored.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: And then you look at the rest of the slate.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: Patriots at home, eagles again in London.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: Steelers at home, as I mentioned, I don't think that that looks like a game the Jaguar shouldn't be favored in.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: Commanders, I think they should be favored against the commanders at home as well.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: The Browns, don't believe in it.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: You got Texans in London, Coltson Titans in Jacksonville.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: Again, Texans in Houston, Coltson, Indy, Titans in Nashville.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Ravens is a tough game.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: Bengals should be a tough game.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: Cowboys should be a tough game.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos and bears should be tough football games.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: So that's where I'm out with this schedule.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: Again, later today, we will be doing a full prediction on the Jaguar's record, which teams they will beat, which teams they will lose to.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: Excited to get into it.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all being here again.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: 8pm tonight.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: The schedule will release my reaction to this schedule.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be tomorrow morning, celebrating the birthday with the family this evening.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: Birthday is tomorrow.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be celebrating with the family this evening.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Friends tomorrow night, family all weekend.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's a crazy time in our family.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: Just a little backtrop.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: My mom is the ninth.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the 15th.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: My brother is the 19th.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: My grandma is the 17th.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: It is absolutely wild in, you know, mid to late May here in my family.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to be a lot of fun, but we'll not be dropping a video tonight after the schedule release.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in, supporting the channel.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
