Astros Acquire Varsho in Division Push | Odessa News
Houston Astros seize the AL West lead with a bold trade, acquiring Gold Glove center fielder Daulton Varsho from Toronto in exchange for sidelined pitcher Spencer Arrighetti. Varsho, hitting .243 with 7 homers and 26 RBIs this season, brings elite defense and power potential, while Arrighetti, sidelined with foot issues, posted a 4.60 ERA in 17 starts. With a two-and-a-half-game cushion after sweeping the Rangers, the Astros are clearly accelerating their push for the division crown.
